Latest / The Vault: The Epstein Files / ABC Responds To The Allegations It Quashed The Amy Robach Epstein Story
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Recently we were talking about the Amy Robach tape that
- 0:08Speaker 1: ABC quashed so that they could keep their access to
- 0:11Speaker 1: the royal family and some of the other so-called elite. Well,
- 0:15Speaker 1: in the interest of fairness, I wanted to talk about
- 0:18Speaker 1: their response to the leak of that Amy Robach tape. Now,
- 0:22Speaker 1: ABC says, of course they would never kill a story
- 0:25Speaker 1: like that. They have a lot of interest in going
- 0:28Speaker 1: after people like Jeffrey Epstein. But the reality is this.
- 0:31Speaker 1: They didn't do it. They had all of the goods,
- 0:35Speaker 1: Virginia gave the interview, and they chose not to run it.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And all of the nonsense that they can pump at us,
- 0:42Speaker 1: and all of the BS that they can send our way,
- 0:45Speaker 1: talking about how, oh, that wasn't our intent, or we
- 0:49Speaker 1: would never do something like that, is just ridiculous. Today
- 0:54Speaker 1: we have an article from NPR, headline, ABC News defends
- 0:58Speaker 1: its Epstein coverage after leaked video of anchor. This article
- 1:02Speaker 1: was authored by David Fulkenflik. Now, have you noticed with NPR,
- 1:07Speaker 1: one of their goals is to, like, run cover for
- 1:10Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's buddies? Sure, that's what it seems like, right?
- 1:14Speaker 1: Every time you turn around, there's another NPR article out
- 1:17Speaker 1: here talking some kind of nonsense. A newly surfaced video
- 1:22Speaker 1: of an ABC news anchor, unguarded remarks about the network's
- 1:26Speaker 1: coverage of the late Jeffrey Epstein, has thrown ABC on
- 1:29Speaker 1: the defensive. In a leaked video posted Tuesday by the
- 1:33Speaker 1: right-wing activist group Project Veritas, news anchor Amy Robach expresses
- 1:39Speaker 1: her frustration to a colleague over ABC's failure to broadcast
- 1:43Speaker 1: her interview.
- 1:44Speaker 2: With the key accuser of Epstein.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Now... We hear it for ourselves. We see what she says.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We know what she had to say. And we know
- 1:53Speaker 1: that she was complaining that the story was quashed. But
- 1:56Speaker 1: what ABC does is they get out here and they
- 1:58Speaker 1: try and gaslight everybody and tell them, look, that's not
- 2:01Speaker 1: what happened. We'll tell you exactly what happened. Robach complains
- 2:08Speaker 1: that the network quashed her interview, suggesting that ABC had
- 2:12Speaker 1: yielded the threats from powerful forces, including Buckingham Palace.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Now.
- 2:17Speaker 1: That might sound absurd at the time, right? But we
- 2:20Speaker 1: all know that Buckingham Palace, according to Jeffrey Berman, was
- 2:23Speaker 1: protecting Prince Andrew the whole entire time. So why wouldn't
- 2:26Speaker 1: they reach out to ABC News, where you know they
- 2:28Speaker 1: have contacts, and ask them to quash the story? That
- 2:31Speaker 1: sound so far-fetched to you?
- 2:33Speaker 2: Not to me.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Prince Andrew is among those men whom the accuser alleges
- 2:41Speaker 1: Epstein trafficked her to for sex. The prince's representatives have
- 2:45Speaker 1: denied that claim. Yeah, how did that work out? Denied
- 2:49Speaker 1: it to the tune of paying out millions and millions
- 2:51Speaker 1: of dollars.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Denied it.
- 2:54Speaker 1: ABC News executives say their journalists were simply not able
- 2:57Speaker 1: to corroborate the details of the reporting sufficiently for the broadcast,
- 3:02Speaker 1: which is absolute bullshit. Just take a look at the
- 3:05Speaker 1: past six years. How many anonymous sources have they brought
- 3:08Speaker 1: up there? How many anonymous sources did they refer to
- 3:11Speaker 1: about this scandal or that scandal? You have Virginia Roberts
- 3:16Speaker 1: up here giving you the interview and you mean to
- 3:18Speaker 1: tell me you don't have the corroboration for it? No,
- 3:22Speaker 1: what you don't have is the spine for it. You
- 3:24Speaker 1: don't have the courage for it. Imagine the company that
- 3:28Speaker 1: owns Disney, huh? Yeah, Disney, that wholesome family company. We
- 3:34Speaker 1: would never run away from that, Chris Vlastow, head of
- 3:37Speaker 1: investigations for ABC News, tells NPR. The network has filed
- 3:41Speaker 1: approximately two dozen digital and broadcast stories on Epstein since
- 3:45Speaker 1: early 2015, when ABC started talking to the accuser, Virginia Roberts. See,
- 3:51Speaker 1: what NPR is trying to do here is smooth it
- 3:53Speaker 1: all over for their boys over at ABC. And this
- 3:56Speaker 1: is the kind of symbiotic relationship you see within the
- 3:58Speaker 1: legacy media. Someone will criticize NPR, or someone will criticize
- 4:03Speaker 1: this group, and then all of a sudden, you'll have
- 4:07Speaker 1: their friends at ABC coming over to whitewash it and
- 4:10Speaker 1: gaslight to tell you what really happened. Roblox comments in
- 4:17Speaker 1: late August 2019 came just two days after an NPR
- 4:20Speaker 1: story disclosed the existence of Robert's interview and ABC's failure
- 4:24Speaker 1: to broadcast it. In the video, Robach is sitting on
- 4:28Speaker 1: a chair at a studio set for ABC's Good Morning America,
- 4:32Speaker 1: at times swinging back and forth, while speaking remotely through
- 4:35Speaker 1: her microphone with an unseen colleague. It appears to be
- 4:39Speaker 1: the early morning hours before broadcast or during advertising breaks.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Now remember, Project Veritas are the ones who uncovered this video,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and I don't care how you feel about their work
- 4:50Speaker 1: one way or the other. When you uncover a video
- 4:53Speaker 1: like this, this is good work. I've had the story
- 4:58Speaker 1: for three years, Robox says in the video. We would
- 5:00Speaker 1: not put it on the air. Um, first of all,
- 5:03Speaker 1: I was told, who was Jeffrey Epstein? No one knows
- 5:06Speaker 1: who that is. This is a stupid story. Then the
- 5:09Speaker 1: palace found out that we had her whole allegations about
- 5:12Speaker 1: Prince Andrew and threatened us a million different ways. Boy,
- 5:16Speaker 1: that queen was something else, huh? That lady that everybody's
- 5:19Speaker 1: lining up to cry over and whimper over. She enabled
- 5:23Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew every step of the way.
- 5:27Speaker 2: That's right.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I said it. That's how I feel. And frankly, history
- 5:30Speaker 1: is going to remember it that way as well. Robach
- 5:35Speaker 1: goes on to say that Roberts alluded to others in
- 5:37Speaker 1: the interview, including former President Bill Clinton, Harvard University law
- 5:42Speaker 1: professor Alan Dershowitz, and Epstein's former girlfriend, co-conspirator, fellow child abuser,
- 5:48Speaker 1: general all-around scumbag and bipedal serpent Ghislaine Maxwell. Roberts has
- 5:53Speaker 1: made similar accusations against all of them also in court documents.
- 5:58Speaker 1: all denying any wrongdoing or involvement in Epstein's sex trafficking.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Roberts has said in court papers that she saw Clinton
- 6:05Speaker 1: in Epstein's presence, but did not witness Clinton participate in
- 6:11Speaker 1: any sexual activity. Now, that's what I've heard plenty of
- 6:14Speaker 1: times as well. See, my problem with Bill Clinton is this, though.
- 6:17Speaker 1: He won't even admit that he was on the island.
- 6:19Speaker 1: He won't even admit he was at Zorro Ranch or
- 6:21Speaker 1: at the townhouse. And everybody lets him get away with it.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Imagine sitting around and acting like what Bill Clinton was
- 6:30Speaker 1: doing here was no big deal. Acting like his enabling
- 6:34Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein was no big deal. And let's not
- 6:38Speaker 1: make pretend that they weren't close homies. They were just
- 6:42Speaker 1: about closer than any of Jeffrey Epstein's other homies. Can
- 6:45Speaker 1: you show me another picture of anyone that was in
- 6:47Speaker 1: Epstein's circle or in Epstein's atmosphere who's wearing a blue
- 6:51Speaker 1: dress in a painting on his wall? I think that
- 6:55Speaker 1: should tell you everything you need to know about the
- 6:58Speaker 1: relationship between Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Clinton. I tried for
- 7:04Speaker 1: three years to get it out to no avail. And
- 7:06Speaker 1: now these new revelations, and I freaking had all of it,
- 7:10Speaker 1: Roblox says on the tape. I'm so pissed right now. Like,
- 7:13Speaker 1: every day I get more and more pissed. Because I'm
- 7:15Speaker 1: just like, oh my god.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It was, we had it. It was unreal.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So she's basically throwing ABC under the bus here and
- 7:24Speaker 1: she's pissed off because she feels like she could have
- 7:27Speaker 1: had the scoop here. Like she could have broke this story.
- 7:31Speaker 1: But if she really cared about this story, she would
- 7:34Speaker 1: have went over her superior's head and she would have
- 7:36Speaker 1: found a way to run it anyway. All of these
- 7:39Speaker 1: talking heads on TV, they're so worried about losing their
- 7:42Speaker 1: million dollar a year job that they won't go against
- 7:44Speaker 1: the grain. And that's how a lot of these newsrooms are,
- 7:49Speaker 1: even at these newspapers. Oh, sure, you have a lot
- 7:51Speaker 1: of activists, journalists, no doubt about it. But what are
- 7:54Speaker 1: they really accomplishing? Let's be very honest. Just take a
- 7:58Speaker 1: look at their numbers, their followers. Besides the most rabid ideologues,
- 8:02Speaker 1: nobody wants to hear what these demagogues have to say anymore.
- 8:06Speaker 1: And these activist journalists that run around and complain and cry.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Nobody wants to hear it. And Amy Robach, one of
- 8:13Speaker 1: these big-time hotshots... Probably has a gazillion dollars in the
- 8:17Speaker 1: bank as it is Didn't have the courage to run
- 8:20Speaker 1: this story didn't have the courage to go over her
- 8:22Speaker 1: boss's head and At the very least she could have
- 8:25Speaker 1: given the story off to somebody else But she didn't
- 8:28Speaker 1: do it, right? Dershowitz, who served as one of Epstein's
- 8:34Speaker 1: legal advisors, told NPR in August that he had called
- 8:37Speaker 1: ABC News in 2015 before the interview was supposed to
- 8:41Speaker 1: have been broadcast to dissuade the network from airing Roberts' allegations.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So not only was it the palace, not only was
- 8:49Speaker 1: it other people. You had the cryptkeeper himself, Mr. I-kept-my-underpants-on, Mr.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Martha's Vineyard. Calling and pressing ABC not to run it,
- 8:58Speaker 1: and then ABC doesn't run it, and they come out
- 9:00Speaker 1: with some bullshit.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Excuse that they expect us to believe?
- 9:05Speaker 1: ABC said it never intended to broadcast her allegations against Dershowitz.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yet legal scholar Dershowitz said he had called primarily on
- 9:13Speaker 1: his own behalf, not Epstein's, to warn ABC against giving
- 9:17Speaker 1: Roberts a platform. I did not want to see her
- 9:20Speaker 1: credibility enhanced by ABC, Dershowitz told NPR. He said he
- 9:24Speaker 1: spoke to two producers and an attorney in a series
- 9:27Speaker 1: of calls in a 24-hour period. This bitch-ass son of
- 9:31Speaker 1: a bitch, Alan Dershowitz.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Mr. I-care-about-the-world. Mr. Oh, I'm-a-great-lawyer. Mr. I'm-a-humanitarian.
- 9:39Speaker 1: As he's running around as a peepin' tom with no
- 9:42Speaker 1: clothes on over on Martha's Beach playing volleyball. Fuck outta
- 9:46Speaker 1: here with this guy. I've had my fill of Alan
- 9:48Speaker 1: Dershowitz bullying people. And remember, this is back in 2015.
- 9:53Speaker 1: This didn't age well, huh? Aged like a pair of
- 9:56Speaker 1: socks with some Parmesan cheese in them. The first 64
- 10:01Speaker 1: seconds of Project Veritas' video appear to be unedited. Just
- 10:05Speaker 1: a straight span of Roblox speaking. ABC News and Robach
- 10:09Speaker 1: confirmed that the video and her remarks are real. Yet,
- 10:13Speaker 1: in a separate statement released by a spokesman for ABC News,
- 10:17Speaker 1: they argue that Robach's frustrations do not reflect any breakdown
- 10:22Speaker 1: in journalistic acumen. No, they couldn't corroborate the story, man.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Had nothing to do with protecting our friends. Had nothing
- 10:30Speaker 1: to do with protecting Prince Andrew. Instead, Roebuck and ABC
- 10:35Speaker 1: say they were unable to corroborate elements of some of
- 10:38Speaker 1: the key charges from Roberts. Yeah, how does it look now, ABC?
- 10:42Speaker 1: All the people are in jail. Epstein dead. Maxwell convicted.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Alan Dershowitz being sued. And you smarmy ass sons of
- 10:51Speaker 1: bitches over at ABC hid this shit. Yeah, let me
- 10:55Speaker 1: go spend five grand at Disney. As the Epstein story
- 11:00Speaker 1: continued to unfold last summer, I was caught in a
- 11:03Speaker 1: private moment of frustration. I was upset that an important
- 11:06Speaker 1: interview I had conducted with Virginia Roberts didn't air because
- 11:09Speaker 1: we could not obtain sufficient corroborating evidence to meet ABC's
- 11:13Speaker 1: editorial standards about her allegations. But if you make any
- 11:16Speaker 1: allegations about people they don't like politically, they'll run it. Oh,
- 11:20Speaker 1: this is from an unconfirmed source. This is from an
- 11:23Speaker 1: anonymous source. Folks, don't you see what they're doing here?
- 11:27Speaker 1: The writing is on the wall. The legacy media has become,
- 11:32Speaker 1: you want to talk about a problem for a democracy?
- 11:35Speaker 1: That's the big one. That's the new buzzword, right? Oh,
- 11:37Speaker 1: you're against democracy. Well, the fourth estate is against democracy.
- 11:42Speaker 2: How about that?
- 11:44Speaker 1: How about the way that they piecemeal the news together
- 11:47Speaker 1: to you and only deliver pieces of it to you? Meanwhile,
- 11:50Speaker 1: in the back room, they have the goods on all
- 11:52Speaker 1: of their friends and they refuse to go the extra
- 11:55Speaker 1: mile and light them up the way they're supposed to.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I mean, isn't that the job of the fourth estate
- 12:00Speaker 1: of the media to hold powerful people to account, not
- 12:04Speaker 1: to cover for them, not to run around and acting
- 12:07Speaker 1: dignit when you get caught covering for them? The interview itself,
- 12:13Speaker 1: while I was disappointed it didn't air, didn't meet our standards.
- 12:16Speaker 1: In the years since, no one ever told me or
- 12:19Speaker 1: the team to stop reporting on Jeffrey Epstein. And we
- 12:22Speaker 1: have continued to aggressively pursue this important story.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, real aggressive. Real aggressive.
- 12:27Speaker 1: So aggressive that I've had to spend three years going
- 12:30Speaker 1: over this story, checking your work, and filling in the blanks.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Real good job, Amy Robach. And by the way, folks,
- 12:37Speaker 1: I'm not making a fraction of what this lady makes.
- 12:42Speaker 1: At the time, not all of our reporting met our
- 12:44Speaker 1: standards to air, but we have never stopped investigating the story.
- 12:47Speaker 1: The ABC News statement says, Oh, a whole six-part podcast, huh?
- 13:05Speaker 1: One day's worth of work for me. And you guys
- 13:07Speaker 1: can find it in your heart to do a whole
- 13:10Speaker 1: six-part project. Wow, that's real nice, ABC.
- 13:13Speaker 2: You know what?
- 13:14Speaker 1: We're just going to forget about your transgressions. We're going
- 13:17Speaker 1: to forget that you tried to protect Prince Andrew, Jeffrey Epstein,
- 13:20Speaker 1: Alan Dershowitz, and the rest of them. All because now
- 13:23Speaker 1: you're going to do a six-part documentary.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Give me a break.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Project Veritas is led by the conservative provocateur, James O'Keefe,
- 13:33Speaker 1: who tells NPR that the tape was sent to him, unbidden,
- 13:36Speaker 1: by an employee at ABC News. It's an entirely new
- 13:40Speaker 1: model for Project Veritas, O'Keefe says. In the past, O'Keefe
- 13:44Speaker 1: published recordings of phony donors pitching to NPR fundraising executives,
- 13:48Speaker 1: which led to the forced departure of the network's CEO
- 13:52Speaker 1: in 2011, even though the tapes, as initially released, proved
- 13:56Speaker 1: to be deceptively edited.
- 13:58Speaker 2: That's what they'll always say.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Whenever the news gets caught with their hand in the
- 14:01Speaker 1: cookie jar, everything's edited, everything's taken out of context, when
- 14:05Speaker 1: the reality is the media is the ones who take
- 14:07Speaker 1: everything out of context.
- 14:09Speaker 2: These guys get up here with.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Their rage porn every day, tell you to hate your neighbor,
- 14:14Speaker 1: tell you this one's bad, that one's against democracy, this
- 14:17Speaker 1: one hates you.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Really? Do you really think that's what's going on here?
- 14:22Speaker 1: Or is it they want all of this chaos, they
- 14:24Speaker 1: want you confused, and they want you predisposed so you're
- 14:28Speaker 1: not paying attention to what they're up to? Other efforts
- 14:34Speaker 1: to try to lure a female CNN correspondent on a
- 14:37Speaker 1: boat with sex toys and another to get Washington Post
- 14:39Speaker 1: reporters to bite on a fake accusation of rape against
- 14:43Speaker 1: a Republican Senate candidate ran aground. In the more recent past,
- 14:47Speaker 1: O'Keefe has run a bunch of surreptitiously recorded conversations with
- 14:51Speaker 1: staffers at the New York Times and CNN that have
- 14:54Speaker 1: yielded modest revelations and have.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Largely been ignored.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Ignored by the media because it hurts you guys. Ignored
- 15:02Speaker 1: by people who are running political games. Now, don't get
- 15:05Speaker 1: it twisted. I think James O'Keefe is kind of a tool.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But when you have the facts and you have the
- 15:12Speaker 1: recordings to back up what you're asserting, you know, it's
- 15:15Speaker 1: kind of difficult to say, oh, well, that's BS. ABC
- 15:21Speaker 1: now says it was stymied by a development in the
- 15:24Speaker 1: spring of 2015, just 10 days before it flew Roberts
- 15:27Speaker 1: and her family from Colorado to New York City for
- 15:30Speaker 1: the interviews. Roberts had leveled many of her accusations in
- 15:33Speaker 1: court papers against Epstein, Maxwell, his former girlfriend, and others
- 15:37Speaker 1: accused of being enablers, including Dershowitz. On April 6, 2015, U.S.
- 15:44Speaker 1: District Judge Kenneth Mara ruled that Roberts could join a
- 15:47Speaker 1: legal action against federal prosecutors. She accused the federal government
- 15:51Speaker 1: of acting illegally by striking a deal allowing Epstein to
- 15:55Speaker 1: skirt federal criminal charges without informing her until after the fact.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Yet Mara also ruled that many of the specifics of
- 16:03Speaker 1: Robert's allegations, whom she accused Epstein of trafficking her to
- 16:08Speaker 1: and for what sexual interactions, should be struck from the record.
- 16:11Speaker 1: So NPR here, without doing any real research or doing
- 16:14Speaker 1: anything to really dig into the story, thinks that they're
- 16:18Speaker 1: doing their boys at ABC a favor here. Well, you know,
- 16:21Speaker 1: her statements got struck from the record.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Again, aging like some.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Parmesan cheese in a pair of socks in a dresser
- 16:29Speaker 1: for about 10 years.
- 16:31Speaker 2: That's how this is aged.
- 16:34Speaker 1: According to a network executive that put a far greater
- 16:37Speaker 1: burden on ABC's reporting team, led by investigative producer Jim Hill,
- 16:42Speaker 1: when allegations are contained in court documents, they are generally
- 16:44Speaker 1: considered privilege under liable law, giving journalists latitude to report
- 16:49Speaker 1: accusations accurately, whether or not they have been substantiated out
- 16:53Speaker 1: of court. Once those details were removed from the formal
- 16:57Speaker 1: court record, ABC had to corroborate Roberts' claims more concretely
- 17:02Speaker 1: on its own authority, the executive said. That is such bullshit. Look,
- 17:07Speaker 1: we've heard for the last six years the charges of
- 17:09Speaker 1: you're this, you're that, you're against America, you're a Russian agent.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Really?
- 17:14Speaker 1: Without any kind of charging documents to back it up?
- 17:17Speaker 1: But all of a sudden when you're going after Epstein
- 17:19Speaker 1: or you're going after Dershowitz or you're going after Prince Andrew,
- 17:22Speaker 1: it's a whole different set of rules? And in subsequent
- 17:30Speaker 1: court filings, Roberts has amended some of her recollection of
- 17:33Speaker 1: precise dates and details in her allegations of activities that
- 17:36Speaker 1: occurred close to two decades ago. So basically what they're
- 17:39Speaker 1: saying is, oh, we didn't believe Virginia. That's what they're
- 17:42Speaker 1: saying here. Don't let them sugarcoat it. That's what they're saying. Boy,
- 17:45Speaker 1: how did that work out for them? James Hill.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Give me a break.
- 17:50Speaker 1: We would never kill a story about Bill Clinton. You'd
- 17:52Speaker 1: never run one either. Has anyone showed up at Bill
- 17:55Speaker 1: Clinton's house? Where's James Hill, Mr. ABC News guy, showing
- 18:00Speaker 1: up at Bill Clinton's house and asking him why Hector
- 18:03Speaker 1: Urbina hasn't updated the statement since we've heard in court
- 18:06Speaker 1: documents that Bill Clinton lied?
- 18:08Speaker 2: We're just going to forget about that, right? Oh, don't
- 18:11Speaker 2: worry about that. You're taking away from our chances to
- 18:13Speaker 2: win some political points. Give me a fucking break already.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Or we would never kill a story about Prince Andrew.
- 18:22Speaker 1: That's what's ridiculous on its face, Vlasto, the ABC News
- 18:25Speaker 1: investigations chief, tells NPR.
- 18:28Speaker 2: That's a great story. So if we could do that story,
- 18:30Speaker 2: we would have done it. No, you wouldn't. Because you
- 18:32Speaker 2: could have done it, and you didn't, Mr. Vlasto.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Mr. Lion-Ass Vlasto. And I hope you hear this, because
- 18:39Speaker 1: I think you're a liar. I think all of ABC,
- 18:42Speaker 1: the whole group of you, are liars. A whole-ass newsroom
- 18:45Speaker 1: with no spine. By the way, how's George Stepanopoulos doing?
- 18:49Speaker 1: You know, Jeffrey Epstein's buddy, Mr. Cloggs himself? Did that
- 18:52Speaker 1: have anything to do with you guys not running the story?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Or maybe because Katie Couric was over there, having some dinner.
- 18:59Speaker 2: La fangoule.
- 19:02Speaker 1: In early July, a federal judge publicly released a huge
- 19:05Speaker 1: batch of documents in the Epstein case, including previously sealed
- 19:09Speaker 1: filings that contained many of Roberts' specific accusations. Dun-dun-dun-dun. Hey, ABC,
- 19:16Speaker 1: you bunch of jerk-offs. Johnny Jerkoff and friends. A big
- 19:21Speaker 1: impediment to justice. But they'll get up there and they'll
- 19:24Speaker 1: tell you from their ivory tower how they're so worried
- 19:26Speaker 1: about the most vulnerable in society. An ABC executive says
- 19:32Speaker 1: the network had been relaunched on the project six months earlier,
- 19:36Speaker 1: at the start of 2019. Inspired by the success of
- 19:39Speaker 1: ABC's podcast on corporate fraud at Theranos, and by the
- 19:43Speaker 1: competition of the Miami Herald, Blasto and Hill had already
- 19:47Speaker 1: pointed their focus squarely back at Epstein, ABC's says, all
- 19:50Speaker 1: because of competition. They felt like they were getting out-marketed.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Has nothing to do with justice for these people. They
- 20:00Speaker 1: then had to scramble when federal authorities brought new charges
- 20:03Speaker 1: against Epstein and once more when he died. So look,
- 20:07Speaker 1: ABC has been in the bag for Epstein's homies since
- 20:10Speaker 1: day one. And unlike other people, I just don't talk
- 20:14Speaker 1: about that shit.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Here's the receipts to prove it.
- 20:18Speaker 1: So next time you hear somebody on ABC getting up
- 20:20Speaker 1: there on their pedestal shouting down to you from their
- 20:24Speaker 1: ivory tower, remember that that network killed this story in 2015.
- 20:29Speaker 1: And remember that Jeffrey Epstein continued to molest, rape, and
- 20:32Speaker 1: abuse people all the way up to his arrest. So ABC,
- 20:37Speaker 1: you failed. You protected Epstein. You protected his human trafficking network.
- 20:43Speaker 1: And those are just the facts. If you'd like to
