- 1:11Speaker 2: This is a podcast called twenty five Whistle.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Stuck in funball and they whistle. So yeah, it's too bad,
- 1:19Speaker 1: but what did you expect. It's a podcast call twenty
- 1:23Speaker 1: five Whistles, twenty wine Wheel, Eddie bow to Whistle. Okay,
- 1:29Speaker 1: we've got a couple of things to do. I got
- 1:31Speaker 1: a whole list of stuff.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I do.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Want to start with Cowboys losing again because I watched, well,
- 1:36Speaker 1: I watched the first two and a half quarters of
- 1:39Speaker 1: the game, and once he wasn't throwing a pass over
- 1:44Speaker 1: three yards, not even completing it. Yeah yeah, I mean yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: because what I remember about Cooper Rush was pretty positive. Actually,
- 1:52Speaker 1: I mean, he came in to won some games last
- 1:53Speaker 1: year and.
- 1:53Speaker 2: He was like four and o last year when he
- 1:55Speaker 2: came in just one four in a row.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It didn't It was not good.
- 1:58Speaker 4: No.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I don't know if it's because the Eagles defense really well,
- 2:00Speaker 1: but they weren't even attempting. I think his average attempt
- 2:05Speaker 1: was like two and a half to three yards, so
- 2:07Speaker 1: again the Cowboys lose. We thought that would happen. However,
- 2:12Speaker 1: about to the first half, I'm like, oh, we might
- 2:14Speaker 1: have a game here, might just.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, we get a pick right at the
- 2:18Speaker 2: at the Eagles end zone, like we're like six yards
- 2:21Speaker 2: away and we can't punch it in. Cooper Rush has
- 2:23Speaker 2: a wide open look at Ceedee Lamb throws it in
- 2:26Speaker 2: between him and the tight end. They don't even know
- 2:29Speaker 2: who the ball is going to.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that was that interception that was right after like
- 2:33Speaker 1: a lucky That was a lucky. It was lucky, but
- 2:36Speaker 1: they just fumbled and then they intercepted the ball right back.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It was so bad bones that I bet seventy five
- 2:41Speaker 2: I don't ever bet seventy five dollars ever, but I
- 2:44Speaker 2: lose seventy five dollars in my account and DraftKings had
- 2:48Speaker 2: put this bonus for a live bet, and I was like,
- 2:51Speaker 2: this is a touchdown, they're six yards away, it's first
- 2:54Speaker 2: in goal. Let's go seventy five dollars for a touchdown
- 2:58Speaker 2: they cannot convert.
- 2:59Speaker 1: So I ended up to it off because there were
- 3:00Speaker 1: other things I wanted to do, like anything, and I
- 3:04Speaker 1: did put it back on to watch the game cast,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and I saw Trey Lance was in the game. He
- 3:08Speaker 1: came in right, So how did he look?
- 3:10Speaker 3: Dude?
- 3:11Speaker 2: He comes in for two plays, runs goes nowhere, They
- 3:15Speaker 2: pull him out, put Cooper Rush back in.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Oh they did he he's all a pick.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And then Cooper Rush comes back in. No, he didn't
- 3:21Speaker 2: throw a pick yet. And then Cooper Rush comes back
- 3:23Speaker 2: in and then Coo Cooper Rush finishes the drive. They punt.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Then fourth quarter, it's all Trey Lance.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Wait why did they do that?
- 3:30Speaker 2: I have no idea. It was crazy too, because they
- 3:32Speaker 2: both ran out of the field and they showed Cooper
- 3:34Speaker 2: look at the side. Oh no, not me, not me, okay,
- 3:36Speaker 2: and Cooper Rush sat back and they let Trey Lance
- 3:39Speaker 2: go out for two plays.
- 3:41Speaker 1: That's bizarre.
- 3:42Speaker 2: That's so bizarre.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Hey, Mike, what audio do you have from this?
- 3:45Speaker 5: Have a Jerry Jones talking about it?
- 3:47Speaker 2: Oh? Oh, you see a good mood?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Do you think he is not hit me with the mic?
- 3:52Speaker 6: What does performance tell you about Dak's role in this
- 3:55Speaker 6: team and what he's been doing this season? Well, given
- 3:59Speaker 6: that you saw the team looks like without Dak, how
- 4:01Speaker 6: do you tell when you look at the difference, what
- 4:03Speaker 6: do you.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Think about Dak.
- 4:03Speaker 7: I don't want to be sarcastic, but you got the
- 4:06Speaker 7: same arithmetic I've got. We've won three games with Dak, okay,
- 4:11Speaker 7: So I'm just saying we weren't playing well with Dak
- 4:15Speaker 7: at all.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Something that sticks out to me. You know, somebody's old
- 4:19Speaker 1: when they use the word arithmetic. I mean we probably
- 4:22Speaker 1: say mad. People younger than that, who knows what they're saying.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Someone that's arithmetic. You know, they're completely on a different
- 4:29Speaker 1: age spectrum as we are.
- 4:30Speaker 2: But what is he saying here? Because the reporters trying
- 4:33Speaker 2: to get at like, all right, like you thought Dak
- 4:36Speaker 2: wasn't good, but now you put your backup in Cooper Rush,
- 4:38Speaker 2: you even let Trey Lance play a little bit, They're
- 4:40Speaker 2: not any better.
- 4:41Speaker 1: What he's saying is, do you know arithmetic? The first
- 4:45Speaker 1: time I watched Club, I thought the same thing, and
- 4:46Speaker 1: then I stopped thinking about it. I didn't care anymore. Yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I think it's like he was saying, even with Dak,
- 4:50Speaker 1: they weren't winning, so like kind of what's the difference.
- 4:53Speaker 1: But I don't know, I'm not sure, Like I'm not I.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Feel like when Jerry Jones talked Jones talks like that.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I'm always at the end. I don't understand what that meant.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Hey, what's the dill? Are you jealous of Brandon Marcella
- 5:02Speaker 1: coming on the show?
- 5:04Speaker 2: I don't think jealous is the word. I feel like
- 5:06Speaker 2: we're slowly losing our jobs, me, Kevin Ksey Reid, and
- 5:12Speaker 2: I feel like when Brandon comes on, you geek out
- 5:15Speaker 2: and you guys talk sports, and I guess I get
- 5:18Speaker 2: a little like left out man, because you guys have
- 5:20Speaker 2: this connection. When you talk about college sports. It's really good.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I'm not saying it's bad. It's really good, and I'm
- 5:25Speaker 2: sure listeners like it. But I think for us, I
- 5:28Speaker 2: can't talk to you like that about the college game day.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I never talked sports. Yeah, well, can I ask Let
- 5:34Speaker 1: me ask you a question, a real question.
- 5:36Speaker 2: What's upka?
- 5:36Speaker 1: This is a sports show. How many college games did
- 5:39Speaker 1: you watch this weekend?
- 5:40Speaker 2: See? Here's like I thought hard about this.
- 5:43Speaker 1: At least one quarter of how many games did you watch?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Twenty that There's no way twenty games.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I'm telling you that by the time Sunday comes around,
- 5:53Speaker 2: I forgot who Tennessee played. I forgot who I see
- 5:57Speaker 2: a TikTok video of Old miss tearing their goal for them, like, oh,
- 6:01Speaker 2: that's a who I saw the game? Who did they beat?
- 6:04Speaker 1: There's no way you wore at least a quarter of
- 6:06Speaker 1: the game, twenty quarters of a game. There's no way.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I go back and forth from a lot of games
- 6:10Speaker 2: because I do big parlays. So usually what I do
- 6:13Speaker 2: is I get the big parlays. Whatever's on the fence,
- 6:16Speaker 2: that's the game I'm watching. So like tennis, like, uh,
- 6:20Speaker 2: what was one of those? Alabama LSU stopped watching it,
- 6:23Speaker 2: Texas stopped watching that one.
- 6:25Speaker 1: But if you wouldn't make it selfish about your parlayds,
- 6:27Speaker 1: because we do a sports show, and if I feel
- 6:28Speaker 1: like I can't talk sports with you, I have to
- 6:29Speaker 1: talk sports with somebody, right, And that's random. Well that's anybody,
- 6:32Speaker 1: even gap go to Kevin sometimes because you don't watch
- 6:34Speaker 1: games I do.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I'm telling you, man, I can't remember dude.
- 6:37Speaker 1: That's no.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I were not accepting that you remember everything about the
- 6:41Speaker 5: Cowboys game.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's the only one I watched.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I don't get back and watch that game because you
- 6:45Speaker 1: actually take like I watched the first quarter of Ohio
- 6:50Speaker 1: State Purdue. That's a blow. That was so gone from
- 6:52Speaker 1: the start that I felt there was no need for
- 6:54Speaker 1: me to go back. Yep, but I wanted to see
- 6:56Speaker 1: And also like those games, those Big twelve excuse me, yeah,
- 7:01Speaker 1: the Big ten noon game. It's terrible. And I haven't
- 7:04Speaker 1: watched like the pre game because like Liner it's on
- 7:06Speaker 1: it and Brady Quinn and and those guys are legit
- 7:10Speaker 1: as far as like college fall players, but then you
- 7:12Speaker 1: compare them the game day, it just looks like a
- 7:14Speaker 1: bad version of it, like a second. So I watched that.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I watched Georgia Tech Miami almost all of it because
- 7:22Speaker 1: what the whole thing. I won't lie into the whole thing,
- 7:25Speaker 1: but like three quarters of it at least, because one,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I knew we may have coach on which we do
- 7:30Speaker 1: later from Georgia Tech. But two, I wanted Miami to lose,
- 7:33Speaker 1: and Georgia Tech was up pretty much the whole game,
- 7:35Speaker 1: if not all the game, and Miami had a run
- 7:36Speaker 1: at the end, so that kept me in. I watched
- 7:40Speaker 1: Texas in Florida because I wanted to see the yell kid,
- 7:43Speaker 1: the retro freshman who was starting for Florida. Oh, he
- 7:46Speaker 1: came in at the end of light But like I'm
- 7:48Speaker 1: watched Okay, he's fine, he's all right. But I'm watching
- 7:51Speaker 1: this because I know I have to talk about on
- 7:52Speaker 1: the show. That's the reason I'm talking about, like this
- 7:54Speaker 1: is part of our career.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Well, what I told my wife was that the reason
- 7:57Speaker 2: I do do parlays in gam on the weekends is
- 8:01Speaker 2: because I do a sports podcast and I need to
- 8:03Speaker 2: watch these games. You don't watch the game, No, I do, Man.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You just know them from a betting perspective, right, and
- 8:08Speaker 1: not even all of them. You don't even watch the
- 8:09Speaker 1: ones like you're winning or losing. You just watched the
- 8:11Speaker 1: ones around the fence. My only point is you're jealous
- 8:13Speaker 1: of somebody who is giving me something that you're not.
- 8:16Speaker 2: I know, and he's good at it too, And that's
- 8:18Speaker 2: kind of like, man, and what I thought, I was like,
- 8:20Speaker 2: it's almost like the bitter ex girlfriend. It's like I'll
- 8:23Speaker 2: never give him that. Like when you talk to Brandon,
- 8:25Speaker 2: I'm like, there's no way, like bone the Bones could
- 8:27Speaker 2: be Like, hey, Eddie, what do you think about Georgia.
- 8:29Speaker 1: T you think if this is part of your career,
- 8:31Speaker 1: you should invest a little time and actually, I don't
- 8:33Speaker 1: know doing a good job at it? No for sure,
- 8:36Speaker 1: and that's why I watch a lot of you don't
- 8:38Speaker 1: you don't you watch parts of games? Did you watch
- 8:40Speaker 1: any of the Almost Georgia game. No, okay, no, like
- 8:44Speaker 1: literally one of the biggest games of the weekend. Yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 1: mostly because I didn't bet on that one. That was
- 8:49Speaker 1: too close for me to bet, so I stayed away
- 8:51Speaker 1: from that one. Did you watch any of Indiana Michigan? Yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you said, yeah, I watch a lot of that one.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Didn't care to see if Signetty was going to go
- 9:02Speaker 1: ten and zero, and you didn't care to see if
- 9:06Speaker 1: they would continue to blow out teams or the Michigan
- 9:08Speaker 1: was like the first decent team they played, Like none
- 9:10Speaker 1: of that matter to you.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I know I knew the headline going in, but
- 9:13Speaker 2: I didn't really maybe it was low on my parlay list,
- 9:17Speaker 2: but I think I did have Indiana to win that
- 9:19Speaker 2: one money line, so I don't think I was ever
- 9:21Speaker 2: in danger that one, So I never went to that.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I watched most of Tennessee Mississippi State because again I
- 9:27Speaker 1: wanted to see I knew Missipis type was terrible, but
- 9:30Speaker 1: I wanted to see them will cover because I bet
- 9:32Speaker 1: that game. But then when Nico went out halftime. I
- 9:35Speaker 1: was like, oh god, we're not going to cover and
- 9:37Speaker 1: then we didn't. That one sucked.
- 9:39Speaker 5: What happened, and they easily could have They should have.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I agree, and they but he's gonna play next week.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yeah they didn't. Was just over. I mean, I think
- 9:47Speaker 1: there was no reason to put them back in.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Yeah it was only nineteen points, but it's from the
- 9:50Speaker 5: very beginning. You're like, it felt like anytime they wanted
- 9:52Speaker 5: they just went deep.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I watched Alabama LSU that game. I watched it until
- 9:57Speaker 1: I got out of hand and you knew LSU was
- 10:00Speaker 1: it coming back. It was wet, Milroe was running all
- 10:04Speaker 1: over it at the beginning. It was kind of a
- 10:06Speaker 1: game when it was fourteen three, then fourteen six. Uh,
- 10:10Speaker 1: then it just got out of hand. I watched by
- 10:14Speaker 1: b Why Utah was late. That was late.
- 10:16Speaker 5: I watched the first half of that.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Yeah. So, Eddie, my point is, if you do a sports,
- 10:20Speaker 1: you should watch sports.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:22Speaker 2: No, And my point is I did watch it. I
- 10:23Speaker 2: just don't remember.
- 10:24Speaker 1: No, you didn't watch it. You just said you didn't.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Three games that you mentioned, Yo, ironically, I didn't watch those.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Those are like those are the big anyway. Uh, we
- 10:34Speaker 1: won't even do NFL. How the NFL games, you watch
- 10:37Speaker 1: all of them, but they were all blowouts. I mean
- 10:39Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of crazy blowouts. So that
- 10:41Speaker 1: Chiefs one went pretty close, which man Denver is like,
- 10:44Speaker 1: there's just like a cockroach. They just keep going like there,
- 10:48Speaker 1: it's hard to kill Denver. They will not die.
- 10:51Speaker 3: They did.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Bo Nix is something dude like he goes he goes
- 10:55Speaker 1: hard one way or he goes really hard the other way.
- 10:57Speaker 1: But I'm telling you, like bo next is a guy
- 10:59Speaker 1: with one on my team. He competes. Yeah, that's so okay.
- 11:03Speaker 1: But my point is, don't be jealous of Brandon. He
- 11:05Speaker 1: gives me something.
- 11:07Speaker 2: You guys have some special and you guys are good together.
- 11:10Speaker 2: And I feel like man got to help my game up.
- 11:14Speaker 2: But I just maybe it's my memory. You have anything
- 11:16Speaker 2: like on a memory thing.
- 11:17Speaker 1: My recommendation would be if you want to be a
- 11:19Speaker 1: part of a sports show, I do a good job
- 11:20Speaker 1: watch sports. Is that that's accurate, Kevin? Yeah, they even
- 11:23Speaker 1: have it.
- 11:24Speaker 5: You can watch four games at once, Like it doesn't
- 11:26Speaker 5: get any easier than right now.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Oh, I don't have the college thing where you can
- 11:29Speaker 2: do that college thing.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Do you have YouTube TV.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but okay, all I have No, I don't have
- 11:34Speaker 2: YouTube TV. All I have is the ticket on YouTube
- 11:36Speaker 2: for NFL, so I can do quads on NFL.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fine.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Not college college.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Don't You don't have to pay for it?
- 11:43Speaker 4: Really? No?
- 11:44Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 11:44Speaker 1: You on YouTube TV?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Period?
- 11:46Speaker 1: About do you have YouTube TV?
- 11:47Speaker 4: No?
- 11:48Speaker 2: I have Hulu.
- 11:48Speaker 5: Oh okay, okay, but you still watch a bunch of.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Games and who I can watch every single game, but
- 11:52Speaker 2: I have to go to them individually. They're not all
- 11:54Speaker 2: quatted out on my TV. All right, I'll I'll work
- 11:58Speaker 2: on it.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I'm just saying you should probably best a little more
- 12:03Speaker 1: time in watching sports. You can have things to say
- 12:05Speaker 1: about sports.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Okay, I did watch the whole Texas game though Texas Florida.
- 12:09Speaker 5: I thought should have turned off because we.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Got that one. I watched because you know, I had
- 12:13Speaker 2: made that bet, and I want to make sure I
- 12:14Speaker 2: look like an idiot when I came in today.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Hey Mike, Yeah you went to the game.
- 12:18Speaker 9: Yeah it was awesome. Go ahead, deep, I mean offense
- 12:20Speaker 9: back to looking amazing. Those misdirection plays were like what
- 12:24Speaker 9: were they doing?
- 12:24Speaker 2: It was awesome.
- 12:26Speaker 9: It was cool being down there, get to go on
- 12:27Speaker 9: the sideline before the game.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I saw that. How do you do that?
- 12:31Speaker 9: Taylor Cearrels, who we met. We went to go to
- 12:33Speaker 9: the campus. Taylor Cerels, Oh yeah yeah yeah she hooked
- 12:36Speaker 9: it up. Yeah we like we got there. We were
- 12:38Speaker 9: hanging out with all like the high school recruits.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It was weird.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Uh do you go to the balls game?
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:43Speaker 1: I did? Wait, what with your seats?
- 12:45Speaker 5: Okay, so we had eleven people, big group people, all
- 12:48Speaker 5: in one row. This is great. Tailgate was fun. We
- 12:51Speaker 5: got to see the band, the vall walk, the whole experience.
- 12:53Speaker 5: It was great. We get in, we sit down, we
- 12:57Speaker 5: find out our seats, We try to squeeze everybody in them,
- 13:00Speaker 5: and find out there's still like a person that can't
- 13:01Speaker 5: even sit down because the seats are all taken. Our seats,
- 13:04Speaker 5: the width of them are twelve inches each seat, so
- 13:07Speaker 5: you're literally sitting on top of somebody. And so when
- 13:10Speaker 5: they say, oh, we have one hundred and ten thousand people,
- 13:11Speaker 5: it's because they jam these people into like little infant seats.
- 13:16Speaker 5: And halfway through the second quarter, we just got over.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Is it really twelve inches?
- 13:19Speaker 5: Because no, you google it and they shrunk them back
- 13:22Speaker 5: in like the nineties, because they wanted to fit more
- 13:24Speaker 5: people into the stadium and pump their numbers up, and
- 13:27Speaker 5: it wasn't enjoyable to watch.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Were most people standing up?
- 13:32Speaker 5: No, it was like half and half and I was
- 13:35Speaker 5: I could have staned or stood the whole time, but
- 13:37Speaker 5: we were with eleven people and like some people were
- 13:39Speaker 5: annoyed and pissed off. And then some girl got yelled
- 13:42Speaker 5: at by some dude next to her because he wouldn't
- 13:44Speaker 5: move over and he's like, I take this seat, and
- 13:46Speaker 5: she's like, come on, man, like we're all in this
- 13:48Speaker 5: like struggling together, and he was just being an a
- 13:50Speaker 5: hole about it. So it was just not the best thing.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Sorry that happened. I'm sorry they didn't cover. That was
- 13:55Speaker 1: my for sure. I knew they would cover, and I
- 13:57Speaker 1: think they would have. They still could have. I think
- 13:59Speaker 1: they still could have. But Nika wh Nica won a
- 14:00Speaker 1: half time. I was like, of course when I get
- 14:02Speaker 1: on and go, for sure.
- 14:04Speaker 5: They still have that like there's no like killing you know.
- 14:09Speaker 5: I'm like when Samson fumbled going in the end down
- 14:11Speaker 5: and it's just like, dang, you guys should be killing
- 14:13Speaker 5: this team.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And don't forget Arkansas beat them. Yeah, that tells you
- 14:16Speaker 1: they have no killing them.
- 14:17Speaker 5: But they got Georgia this week, and George is gonna
- 14:19Speaker 5: be angry.
- 14:19Speaker 1: George is gonna whoop the crap out of them. Uh yep, Okay,
- 14:23Speaker 1: so that was another one. Here's the job because in
- 14:27Speaker 1: case the job doesn't.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Work out, Addie, okay, I'm all ears.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Well, it's just because the guy didn't watch sports the
- 14:31Speaker 1: sports watch you don't.
- 14:33Speaker 3: You have nothing?
- 14:35Speaker 2: You know that I'm gonna start taking notes.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But that's what I do. You literally what I do,
- 14:39Speaker 1: write notes while you watch. I literally keep notes of
- 14:42Speaker 1: things I don't forget. But what about the beer like
- 14:44Speaker 1: you're holding the Oh you don't drink, but doesn't matter.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I have drinks all around me. You don't have to
- 14:48Speaker 1: hold in your hand. The whole notes up on your phone.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I take notes constantly about anything because I know this
- 14:54Speaker 1: is like part of our job when we get paid,
- 14:55Speaker 1: and I don't want to do a bad job because
- 14:56Speaker 1: then we don't get to do the job anymore. We
- 14:58Speaker 1: don't get paid anymore.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You can make sixty five thousand dollars as a professional
- 15:03Speaker 1: sex doll tester.
- 15:04Speaker 5: Oh wait, as the sex dollar.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I don't think. Wait, don't the way I don't think.
- 15:11Speaker 2: First he agreed with it is that cool.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So and technology is getting more sophisticated. So there's a
- 15:17Speaker 1: team and they need people to be a sex doll
- 15:19Speaker 1: product tester and AI trainer. It's a remote gig. You
- 15:23Speaker 1: test various dolls to assess product quality, functionality, and durability.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Imagine meeting with your manager though after they want to
- 15:29Speaker 1: ask you like that would be a word cond Oh
- 15:32Speaker 1: how is Cindy? That would just be weird. I don't
- 15:37Speaker 1: want to do all my feedback online. I don't want
- 15:40Speaker 1: to have to be having a talk with my boss
- 15:42Speaker 1: about my thoughts on the new AI technology. They want
- 15:47Speaker 1: to improve capabilities, focus on conversation and memory retention. Wow,
- 15:51Speaker 1: you document test results, provide feedback. You get twenty two
- 15:54Speaker 1: paid holidays each year, paid travel to global events. I
- 15:57Speaker 1: don't want to go to any events. I don't eve
- 15:59Speaker 1: better know I'm doing this. If I'm doing this, I
- 16:00Speaker 1: don't want anybody to know this is my job.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Nowhere in the world would get you to do this?
- 16:04Speaker 5: What like you could travel anywhere? Like you you could
- 16:07Speaker 5: pick it.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I can already do it. I gotta traveling on wine.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Okay, all right, that's fair shot.
- 16:13Speaker 1: A professional development stipend employee discounts on the product. Why
- 16:17Speaker 1: would you want to discoud of the product. You're already
- 16:19Speaker 1: doing it for the product, like you get to keep
- 16:21Speaker 1: it hooking up the boys. I don't want to site.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I don't want them to send it back if they
- 16:25Speaker 1: use it. You need to keep everything you use. I
- 16:27Speaker 1: bet a free gym membership because you want to be
- 16:29Speaker 1: in shape for your lady. There you go, Oh my gosh,
- 16:31Speaker 1: company cell phone. If you're interested in getting paid, you
- 16:35Speaker 1: can email them hello at doll Authority dot com. It's
- 16:39Speaker 1: from asking man sixty five thousand dollars a year to
- 16:41Speaker 1: test out sex alls. I mean that's not a bad wage.
- 16:45Speaker 1: And they'd be like, Eddie, what'd you this weekend? Well,
- 16:47Speaker 1: the doll was in the other room. I looked in
- 16:49Speaker 1: on it.
- 16:50Speaker 2: You say it worked long day? We blog day of work.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Another thing was the Auburn airplane gets turned around and
- 16:59Speaker 1: I saw it. At first they said his horse play,
- 17:00Speaker 1: and they were like, Auburd's there playing gets turned around
- 17:02Speaker 1: as a horse play. Then it turned out to the
- 17:03Speaker 1: players were fighting. Then they identified the players. Then they
- 17:06Speaker 1: went and beat Houston the next night and a big upset.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Did you watch that?
- 17:10Speaker 2: I did not watch. I saw it they'd beat Houston, though,
- 17:12Speaker 2: I watchcause that was Saturday night. That was football going on.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I watched it too. I watch Arkansas basketball too.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Back and forth. Oh man, you're amazing. And it took
- 17:20Speaker 2: I don't know how you can do all that, Mike.
- 17:22Speaker 1: We hit the air traffic control.
- 17:23Speaker 8: Here we go. We uh got an altercation on board.
- 17:27Speaker 8: We talked to the player to murdercy and landa.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Uh.
- 17:31Speaker 8: We got a bunch of basketball players spotts secure foot level.
- 17:36Speaker 8: It is cantained for the moment. We just had. We're
- 17:39Speaker 8: all police on the ground. And so we had two
- 17:41Speaker 8: players that got into the fiscal qualifications closer and.
- 17:45Speaker 1: One horse play that's really embarrassing for them.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:50Speaker 5: Did you see the clip of one of the players
- 17:53Speaker 5: that night of the game they were killing I think
- 17:55Speaker 5: like Vermont or something like that, and there will be
- 17:57Speaker 5: like thirty and he's in the corner like getting all
- 17:59Speaker 5: pissed off that they're not passing them the ball. And
- 18:02Speaker 5: that was one of the players. I got into it
- 18:03Speaker 5: on the.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Flight after I did see that. Ye, yep, that's wild
- 18:09Speaker 1: because those planes. I'm assuming they're just flying a chartered jet.
- 18:12Speaker 1: It's not like a yeah, it's like a Southwest Airlines
- 18:16Speaker 1: big There's not a lot of room in those things,
- 18:18Speaker 1: and they're big dudes. That's so embarrassing. Imagine you're Bruce
- 18:24Speaker 1: Pearl and this story is out that your fight, your
- 18:27Speaker 1: team fights on a charter plane down to Houston. They
- 18:30Speaker 1: did win though, they did win. Yeah, good for them.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Bam with tam TELUSU almost put it on Georgia.
- 18:37Speaker 4: What else?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Oh, A couple of things. So I was watching you
- 18:40Speaker 1: just wake up. We watched the Ireland game, No London games,
- 18:44Speaker 1: j yeah, one of those.
- 18:45Speaker 5: I was driving back from Knoxville at that.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So, because darkness is all weird now, I woke up
- 18:49Speaker 1: and watch on the whole thing because it's I go
- 18:51Speaker 1: to bed earlier because it's yeah, well, unfortunately and the
- 18:53Speaker 1: last games I did, and I wake up like halfway
- 18:55Speaker 1: through and watch it. I woke up and watch the
- 18:57Speaker 1: whole thing, and my wife is up to and they
- 18:59Speaker 1: show the two arterbacks. It was Daniel Jones versus Bryce
- 19:01Speaker 1: Young and right on beach. She was like, oh boy,
- 19:04Speaker 1: what a matchup we have here battle the Titans. Yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 1: even she knows how, and so both of those teams
- 19:11Speaker 1: are so inept horrible horror. It would be like a
- 19:16Speaker 1: fumble into another fumble into an them dump dump.
- 19:20Speaker 6: It was.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It was crazy how bad. I was really pumped. Bryce
- 19:23Speaker 1: Young did have moments so where he looked like he
- 19:25Speaker 1: was starting to put it together and like he was
- 19:28Speaker 1: not just reacting out of sheer terror. I was happy
- 19:31Speaker 1: to see him win again. The funniest part though, to
- 19:33Speaker 1: me was at the end of the game, they go
- 19:35Speaker 1: to overtime and they have Bryce Young and Daniel Jones
- 19:38Speaker 1: out at midfield. They're the two doing the coin toss.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I don't know, they're not the only two captains, but
- 19:42Speaker 1: they have those two at midfielding the coin toss.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Bryce Young like a child next to Daniel Jones and.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Standing face to face, so the reps in the middle standing,
- 19:51Speaker 1: Bryce Young looked like he was nine inches shorter. Loo
- 19:54Speaker 1: like a look like a kid compared to Daniel Jones. Yeah,
- 19:59Speaker 1: so much, Oh that I was worried for his health,
- 20:01Speaker 1: in his safety against those big NFL guys like and
- 20:04Speaker 1: we've met Bryce Young and Daniel Jones is probably six
- 20:07Speaker 1: six or saw what imagic six. Yeah, the difference in
- 20:10Speaker 1: those two was hilarious. I was again. I was happy
- 20:13Speaker 1: to see the Panthers went again. That's pretty cool. I'd
- 20:15Speaker 1: like to see, Oh, Bryce Youong gets another shot to
- 20:17Speaker 1: make it, But Daniel Jones is done. If he gets injured,
- 20:20Speaker 1: they have to pay them all his money. Yeah, so
- 20:21Speaker 1: he can't. He shouldn't play anymore. They shouldn't play him
- 20:23Speaker 1: he gets hurt. This is what David Carr had when
- 20:26Speaker 1: he was with the Raiders. Whenever they stopped playing him
- 20:28Speaker 1: because hed he got hurt, they'd owed him a much
- 20:30Speaker 1: more money the next year. They can cut him without
- 20:34Speaker 1: having to pay him everything next year. But if he
- 20:36Speaker 1: gets hurt, they got to pay him.
- 20:37Speaker 5: Yeah, you can't receive it, so you don't.
- 20:39Speaker 1: No, nope, no, he doesn't play anymore. But what a
- 20:41Speaker 1: disaster of a game that was.
- 20:42Speaker 5: I wasn't paying a bunch of money out there, like
- 20:44Speaker 5: you live in Germany, like the NFL's coming here, pay
- 20:46Speaker 5: a lot of money probably.
- 20:48Speaker 1: See, it was all like weird. It's like those other
- 20:51Speaker 1: Irish games too, like everybody's were in all different jerseys,
- 20:54Speaker 1: like I'm I'm sure they're passing out jerseys like there
- 20:55Speaker 1: was some Vikings fan going crazy in the crowd the
- 20:57Speaker 1: whole time. I was like, does he even know what
- 20:58Speaker 1: TV's watching? So, yeah, that was a really bad game.
- 21:05Speaker 1: A lot of a lot of miss kicks yesterday in general,
- 21:08Speaker 1: Like there was a span at one point in the
- 21:10Speaker 1: Witching hour. They were they were they were missing kicks
- 21:12Speaker 1: like crazy.
- 21:13Speaker 10: Did you see that altercation with the Debo and Moody?
- 21:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy Pops Moody and then grabs the deep
- 21:19Speaker 1: snapper by the throat. He's not playing around man, Yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 1: which was who even who does that?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Who does?
- 21:26Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:27Speaker 1: I mean and also not behind other players, like it
- 21:29Speaker 1: was right on the front of the sideline. Somebody did that.
- 21:32Speaker 5: The overton I wonder what do we do?
- 21:35Speaker 1: Probably so stunned, he's like, what's the probably think somebody's
- 21:38Speaker 1: giving him a buddy slap. It was so weird. Yeah,
- 21:40Speaker 1: but it was his first game back kicking. I think
- 21:42Speaker 1: he has three kicks. They still won, They did the game,
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah he did? Did they still won?
- 21:49Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:49Speaker 1: That was weird. And then also I'm watching the Broncos
- 21:52Speaker 1: and Chiefs man. Yeah, you know you're just thinking the Broncos,
- 21:55Speaker 1: well they've done it. How about that? Yeah? Did you
- 21:59Speaker 1: watch this zoomed in TikTok of the left side of
- 22:02Speaker 1: that line. The Broncos it got destroyed. They like, oh,
- 22:06Speaker 1: it looks like they just fell, yeah, destroyed. And yes,
- 22:10Speaker 1: I'm sure it was destroying, but it looked like these
- 22:13Speaker 1: guys just went and down. They went, yeah, and blocked it.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Couldn't believe it. Crazy. I saw one better on DraftKings.
- 22:21Speaker 1: ID bet like one hundred and fifty bucks right before
- 22:24Speaker 1: the kick that the that the Chiefs would win one
- 22:26Speaker 1: like twelvends. No way, it was better than a block
- 22:29Speaker 1: kick like ten to one.
- 22:30Speaker 8: Jeez.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Yeah, So say there's anything else I wanted to mention? Oh,
- 22:36Speaker 1: one other thing that I thinks hilarious.
- 22:37Speaker 3: I'll do it.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'll do it at the end. I'll do it at
- 22:39Speaker 1: the end.
- 22:39Speaker 5: It's about wrestling, but it's so funny what those are?
- 22:44Speaker 5: Just so random wrestling.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really good though. It's real good though. I
- 22:47Speaker 1: think you guys are gonna like it. It's real good. Okay,
- 22:50Speaker 1: So let's go to Mike. Do you want to do
- 22:53Speaker 1: an interview?
- 22:53Speaker 7: You want?
- 22:54Speaker 1: You want to do the recap with this parlay, Let's
- 22:57Speaker 1: do the recap real quick. Yeah, Well, well I did
- 23:01Speaker 1: not hit because I had Tennessee minus twenty four and
- 23:05Speaker 1: they did not cover. They did beat Mississippi State. Nobody
- 23:08Speaker 1: cares about excuses, but I have a big one. My
- 23:11Speaker 1: quarterback one out a half time. They could have covered
- 23:13Speaker 1: anyways once. It's annoying. Yeah, they didn't even need They
- 23:16Speaker 1: could have played with ten men. They covered. It's so stupid.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Eddie hit Texas minus twenty one and a half of Florida.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Reid hit South Carolina minus fourt Vanderbilt. That's a weird
- 23:24Speaker 1: game of like two family members. How do you root
- 23:27Speaker 1: for both of them to win?
- 23:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I hate when we're in that spot.
- 23:31Speaker 3: I know me too.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Sucks Kevin, you lost too, I know what a Kevin
- 23:35Speaker 1: happ b Yu minus three and a half.
- 23:38Speaker 5: They won by one.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Yes, all that that, and I talked to Brandon about
- 23:42Speaker 1: this in a second, and we can do that. The
- 23:44Speaker 1: whole call I felt was legitimate. He was holding him
- 23:48Speaker 1: m hm. The cour was he literally was holding him.
- 23:52Speaker 1: But it's just the do you feel like referee should
- 23:54Speaker 1: call it legitimately all the time or there's certain times
- 23:57Speaker 1: And I don't think there's a right answer to that,
- 23:59Speaker 1: except the right answers They should call it exactly the
- 24:01Speaker 1: same all the time. But that's not human nature. He
- 24:04Speaker 1: got sacked the game was over, except it wasn't because
- 24:06Speaker 1: the holding call. But maybe he got sacked because that
- 24:08Speaker 1: receiver wasn't open because he was being held.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Like this.
- 24:13Speaker 1: These are what's just playing through my mind the whole time.
- 24:15Speaker 1: But I felt, did you watch you see if he was?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Did you watch the play?
- 24:18Speaker 7: No?
- 24:18Speaker 5: I mean I was asleep by that, But did you
- 24:19Speaker 5: see it?
- 24:20Speaker 2: You see that?
- 24:20Speaker 5: I saw a couple highlights of it.
- 24:22Speaker 1: It was so far away. Every camera shot though, was
- 24:24Speaker 1: from across the field, like I never saw one, and
- 24:27Speaker 1: maybe there's one that exists now. But it was such
- 24:30Speaker 1: a hold and it was obvious it was a hold
- 24:33Speaker 1: that I got it. But I guess that ref has
- 24:35Speaker 1: to make the decision does this actually affect the play?
- 24:39Speaker 1: And he threw it and it did, and that sucks.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I would have liked to have seen me. Why you
- 24:44Speaker 1: lose because they're gonna get one of the bys and
- 24:46Speaker 1: get stomped. They're gonna have a mudhole stomped in them
- 24:50Speaker 1: if they're one of the four teams that gets one
- 24:52Speaker 1: of the buys. You're looking for it, Yeah, like you're
- 24:56Speaker 1: saying every view is from across the Yeah, it's from
- 24:59Speaker 1: across the but you can still tell thee the corners
- 25:01Speaker 1: holding on to them. Okay, so yeah, we did not hit.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Sorry everybody, we let you down again. It's kind of
- 25:08Speaker 1: our thing.
- 25:10Speaker 2: That's what we're known for.
- 25:10Speaker 1: The thing is let people now were.
- 25:12Speaker 5: Close though no I know it doesn't matter. We were
- 25:15Speaker 5: close now, but both were close.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Both. Yeah, we can't do that. We So you should
- 25:23Speaker 1: try out pick six though it's really cool by DraftKings,
- 25:25Speaker 1: like two more players and choose if they'll have more
- 25:27Speaker 1: or less of a stat so we can talk about tonight. Uh,
- 25:29Speaker 1: Dolphins at Rams Stafford more or less than two fifty
- 25:32Speaker 1: seven passing yards? I think you go more there to
- 25:35Speaker 1: more or less than two forty four passing yards. I
- 25:37Speaker 1: go less there, Tyreek Hill more or less the seventy
- 25:40Speaker 1: five rushing yards receiving saving yards. Excuse me, I's play.
- 25:45Speaker 4: I don't.
- 25:45Speaker 1: That's why I was held up to.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yah, who knows?
- 25:49Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 25:50Speaker 8: You know?
- 25:50Speaker 1: What sucked? Oh so, anyway, if you think you can
- 25:53Speaker 1: pick stats, go check out DraftKings pick six. It's awesome.
- 25:56Speaker 1: But by the way, in fantasy.
- 25:59Speaker 4: So stupid.
- 26:01Speaker 1: They're like, Okay, we know the irs four weeks. Guess what.
- 26:06Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, well I'm gonna play my guy Texans.
- 26:08Speaker 1: You watch a game? Do you watch Texans?
- 26:09Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 26:11Speaker 1: So I'm thinking, all right, well your boy go ahead.
- 26:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:17Speaker 1: When they screw us on that seven o'clock game, there's
- 26:19Speaker 1: nothing we can do because there's nobody I could put
- 26:21Speaker 1: in to play that. Three players out on buy and
- 26:25Speaker 1: all I have was Nico.
- 26:26Speaker 2: This is a rough bye week situation.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all. That's the I had to play Nico
- 26:33Speaker 1: out because they called him out right before the game.
- 26:35Speaker 1: They screwed us. That's all. Has nothing to do with
- 26:38Speaker 1: our parlay. That's stupid. Anyway, Try DraftKings pick six. It's
- 26:43Speaker 1: awesome and if you think you can pick stats more
- 26:46Speaker 1: or less of stuff, it's the perfect one for you.

- 27:21Speaker 1: coach brin Key. A big win for Georgia Tech. Thank god,
- 27:26Speaker 1: m hm this time. But you know what, Miami still
- 27:28Speaker 1: might get that buy and be one of those top four.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Thank god, it just was. But at the end it
- 27:38Speaker 1: almost happened again.
- 27:40Speaker 5: It was crazy.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I was like, this can be happening every single time.
- 27:44Speaker 1: But we talked to coach brink Key a little earlier
- 27:46Speaker 1: today fresh off a big win against the number four
- 27:48Speaker 1: team in the country, the Miami Hurricanes. Now, coach Key
- 27:52Speaker 1: was an All conference lineman at Georgia Tech in the
- 27:53Speaker 1: early two thousands, and Saturday was the program's first win
- 27:56Speaker 1: against the top five team since two thousand and nine.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Big thanks to coach for take some time, because we
- 28:00Speaker 1: know it's a busy day. If you have a big win,
- 28:02Speaker 1: everybody wants to talk to you, and he gave us
- 28:04Speaker 1: fifteen twenty minutes, so he's awesome. Go Jackets, that's what
- 28:08Speaker 1: they say yeah, jackets. So he sat at the end
- 28:10Speaker 1: of the interview. Everybody has their thing. His is go jackets.
- 28:14Speaker 3: I like it.
- 28:15Speaker 5: It's pretty vague, but I like it.
- 28:17Speaker 1: No yellowjacket, Yeah, no, I get that.
- 28:19Speaker 5: When it could be any kind of jacket white, Why
- 28:21Speaker 5: don't you say, like, go yellow jackets.
- 28:24Speaker 1: It's true. By the time you finished that, like they're
- 28:26Speaker 1: a commercial. Second went everyone, Oh here he is head
- 28:29Speaker 1: coach brin Key, Hey, coach, congrats on the win. I
- 28:32Speaker 1: was watching the game and I hope that you'll be
- 28:35Speaker 1: honest with me here and they were talking to you
- 28:37Speaker 1: in the middle of the game. It looked like you
- 28:39Speaker 1: hate you hate that end game interview. What are your
- 28:41Speaker 1: thoughts when they pull you to the side right in
- 28:43Speaker 1: the middle of the game to like talk to you
- 28:44Speaker 1: and you're having to make big decisions.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Well, if you want real row and uncut what a
- 28:49Speaker 3: coach does, that's the best time to do it. I guess.
- 28:51Speaker 3: I mean, I mean it is. It's in the middle
- 28:53Speaker 3: of the middle of play, and.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It just looks like you're in the middle of it
- 28:58Speaker 1: and they're like, oh, coach, you gotta get on the
- 29:00Speaker 1: a and give this interview, and you're like, I got
- 29:02Speaker 1: a game to coach, so you're giving the answers you
- 29:04Speaker 1: can give to get out of there the quickest. It
- 29:06Speaker 1: feels like a bit like when after a red carpet,
- 29:08Speaker 1: Like I don't really want to give them any real answers.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I just want to get out of there, but I
- 29:10Speaker 1: still want to be like, you know, nice and cordial.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Do you like the implementation of the endgame interviews?
- 29:16Speaker 4: I like it.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I mean, if I'm a fan, I would like it.
- 29:19Speaker 3: I mean it's not like being on red carpet or anything.
- 29:21Speaker 3: The Holy Cow especially. Hey, that was a harmless, little
- 29:25Speaker 3: little drop you through right there.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Now, Well that's my way to relate and show, you know,
- 29:29Speaker 1: I'm just so you know, I have to wear clothes
- 29:31Speaker 1: it a little tighter. Other than that, like that, that
- 29:34Speaker 1: was an awesome game. I did feel like, after watching
- 29:36Speaker 1: Miami play just about every game throughout the whole season,
- 29:38Speaker 1: that we're going to pull these miracle heroics again. Obviously
- 29:40Speaker 1: you've watched every probably snap that Miami has played all
- 29:43Speaker 1: year leading into this game. In your head, are you thinking,
- 29:46Speaker 1: especially there at the end, like oh god, they're they're
- 29:49Speaker 1: just Destiny's team. Are you guys, like we got this yeah.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I mean I had a lot of confidence in the plan.
- 29:53Speaker 3: I had a lot of confident players and even even
- 29:57Speaker 3: up to the last drive, you know, which we've been
- 29:59Speaker 3: at to close it out on offense, with the offense
- 30:01Speaker 3: on the field, when we got the ball back with
- 30:03Speaker 3: six minutes but weren't able to uh, we gave it
- 30:06Speaker 3: back to the defense, had a chance to put it
- 30:08Speaker 3: in their hands. Had confidence in them. You know, there
- 30:12Speaker 3: are times in the game you're holding onto your breath
- 30:14Speaker 3: and you know, hoping everything works out. You know, they don't,
- 30:18Speaker 3: they make a mistake, But I was confident our guys
- 30:21Speaker 3: we're gonna make a play, and they did.
- 30:22Speaker 1: How did you guys prepare for the quarterback play? Because
- 30:25Speaker 1: he's been it was a Heisman front runner or second
- 30:28Speaker 1: depending on where you were looking up until this game,
- 30:29Speaker 1: how did you play differently with him?
- 30:31Speaker 3: Well, when you asked about the quarterback play, I was
- 30:33Speaker 3: going to tell you about our quarterback play.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Well, I'm getting I'm getting there for like that's like
- 30:37Speaker 1: the grand finale of like how awesome it was, but
- 30:39Speaker 1: like first, like like you shut it all the time
- 30:41Speaker 1: at your defense, Like you guys played really well.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Yeah, we knew going into the game. I mean camp
- 30:47Speaker 3: he's a tremendous player. I mean, he is a talented
- 30:49Speaker 3: young man. He's got good weapons around him. The thing,
- 30:53Speaker 3: the biggest thing with him is when he takes off
- 30:55Speaker 3: in scrambles and starts running. I mean, he's looking to throw.
- 30:57Speaker 3: And that's where so many of their big plays that
- 30:59Speaker 3: occurred in the previous games. And you know, we did
- 31:04Speaker 3: a good job on the back end of staying on ourmand,
- 31:06Speaker 3: plastering our man, keeping everything in front of us. And
- 31:09Speaker 3: I think it was really the second or third efforts
- 31:10Speaker 3: by the guys up front on the d line that
- 31:12Speaker 3: allowed the pressure to get to him, and you know,
- 31:15Speaker 3: and then eventually some of the sacks.
- 31:17Speaker 1: What do you say at halftime? Because you guys were leading,
- 31:19Speaker 1: I think pretty much of the whole game. Anytime I
- 31:21Speaker 1: was on, you guys were up. What do you say
- 31:22Speaker 1: at halftime to the guys to do you have to
- 31:26Speaker 1: change your game plan at all? What did you learn
- 31:28Speaker 1: in the first half.
- 31:30Speaker 3: So we actually went into that game a little different philosophy. Obviously,
- 31:34Speaker 3: we had two different sort of game plans for the
- 31:36Speaker 3: two quarterbacks, and then we went into that game planning
- 31:40Speaker 3: that game in four individual quarters. And I wanted after
- 31:43Speaker 3: each quarter the team to get together to rally up
- 31:47Speaker 3: and you know, put that quarter behind him, whether you're up,
- 31:50Speaker 3: whether you're down, and play the next quarter in fifteen
- 31:52Speaker 3: minute increments. And you know that's what they did. We
- 31:55Speaker 3: come in at halftime and it really took to us.
- 31:58Speaker 3: We went out to play a new game we had.
- 32:00Speaker 3: We had a separate game plan in a lot of
- 32:03Speaker 3: ways in the second half. So and actually, you looking
- 32:06Speaker 3: at we put four offensive game plans together for that game. Uh,
- 32:09Speaker 3: you know, two for each quarterback and two for each.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Halfs are there parts of the playbook now offensively and
- 32:15Speaker 1: defensively that you're just now exposing that you have saved
- 32:18Speaker 1: until this point of the year, or if things aren't
- 32:21Speaker 1: going well earlier in the season, you like, screw it,
- 32:23Speaker 1: let's just get to some of the stuff we were
- 32:25Speaker 1: saving for later. How does that work?
- 32:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you put everything in. I'm a believer and putting
- 32:31Speaker 3: it all in in the beginning, and then as much
- 32:34Speaker 3: as your players can handle, of course, and then being
- 32:37Speaker 3: able to use and pick and do things as the
- 32:39Speaker 3: season goes on, that that our best for that opponent
- 32:42Speaker 3: in that game plan. But you know, going into this one,
- 32:44Speaker 3: it was a little different because you know, of the
- 32:47Speaker 3: quarterback situation or our end that we had to pull
- 32:49Speaker 3: a few things out that probably hadn't used before.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Talk about Hanes King, he was legit.
- 32:55Speaker 3: I can't say enough good things about him. I mean,
- 32:57Speaker 3: you talk about a he's a warrior on the field.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Uh.
- 33:01Speaker 3: He before he got hurt, you know, four weeks ago.
- 33:03Speaker 3: I mean, he was playing as good a football as
- 33:05Speaker 3: anybody out there. Continue to you know, continue to play
- 33:08Speaker 3: after it was hurt by running the ball. We get
- 33:11Speaker 3: him in the game this week, and I mean this
- 33:13Speaker 3: kid was playing now. There was no no, no two
- 33:16Speaker 3: ways about it. I don't care what was said. And
- 33:19Speaker 3: he was going to play in that game, whether he
- 33:20Speaker 3: could throw the ball or not. And just just his
- 33:23Speaker 3: presence alone. Somebody sent me a clip last night of
- 33:27Speaker 3: him talking to a player on the other team. Uh.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Just the competitiveness in him, the fire and him the
- 33:32Speaker 3: way he raises everybody up around him. I mean, he's
- 33:34Speaker 3: one of the toughest people I've ever ever been around,
- 33:37Speaker 3: one of the greatest leaders of any college quarterback I've
- 33:40Speaker 3: been around.
- 33:41Speaker 1: How long after the game, until you go back and
- 33:43Speaker 1: watch the.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Game, let me see, Uh, you know, after press, come
- 33:48Speaker 3: up from my office, you know, get back home. When
- 33:51Speaker 3: I got home, probably probably within within two and a
- 33:55Speaker 3: half hours, probably I'm at my home office watching the game.
- 34:00Speaker 1: If it's a loss, is it a different timetable? Will
- 34:03Speaker 1: you wait? Will you bury the tape type of thing?
- 34:05Speaker 4: Ever?
- 34:07Speaker 3: No, not at all. I mean, you got to learn
- 34:08Speaker 3: from your failures. You got to you got to learn
- 34:12Speaker 3: when you make mistakes. You got to learn how to
- 34:14Speaker 3: you know what you did wrong. And look, whether you
- 34:17Speaker 3: win a game or lose a game, the processes afterwards
- 34:19Speaker 3: don't change. You can't change your processes because look, there's
- 34:22Speaker 3: plenty of mistakes in that game. You know, they made
- 34:24Speaker 3: a couple of plays, or we made a couple of plays,
- 34:26Speaker 3: they didn't make a couple of plays. I mean, if
- 34:27Speaker 3: it slipped the other way, are you just going to
- 34:29Speaker 3: totally treat it different? Now, you got to treat it
- 34:31Speaker 3: the same. And you got to be able to handle
- 34:33Speaker 3: success and failures. Failures both the same. Shoot, they both
- 34:35Speaker 3: can be distractions in your life. For sure.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Speaking of distractions, when you got to go to Ireland
- 34:39Speaker 1: at the beginning of the year, what was that like?
- 34:42Speaker 1: I mean, because how far ahead did you get over
- 34:45Speaker 1: did you feel like the guys were on a different
- 34:46Speaker 1: sleep schedule, Like, would you want to do that again?
- 34:50Speaker 4: Uh?
- 34:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I thought it was a great opportunity
- 34:51Speaker 3: for our kids. It was a great opportunity to showcase
- 34:53Speaker 3: our program on a national stage. We went over there
- 34:57Speaker 3: on Thursday, I'm sorry, Wednesday night, got there Thursday morning,
- 35:02Speaker 3: went to practice, had meetings, really kind of business as
- 35:05Speaker 3: usual once we were there, Uh, normal, normal day pretty
- 35:09Speaker 3: much on Friday, had the game on Saturday, and flew
- 35:11Speaker 3: back Sunday morning. We left out of there, I think
- 35:14Speaker 3: a nine am on Sunday, out of Dublin and we
- 35:16Speaker 3: were back here in Atlanta. Guys were in the weight
- 35:18Speaker 3: room about three o'clock in the afternoon working out, stretching, stride, meeting,
- 35:22Speaker 3: doing walkers for the next week's next week's game. So
- 35:24Speaker 3: it was a great, great experience. But we went over
- 35:27Speaker 3: there to play a game and to win a game,
- 35:28Speaker 3: and you know, we'll go back another time to do
- 35:31Speaker 3: all sight s here.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Oh so they got to do no sights in Oh no, wow,
- 35:37Speaker 1: So they got nothing that they no castles. They ain't
- 35:39Speaker 1: get like a double deck or bus. Go show them
- 35:41Speaker 1: like Game of Thrones castle or anything, coach. No, he's serious,
- 35:47Speaker 1: I'm serious.
- 35:49Speaker 4: It was.
- 35:49Speaker 3: I mean, the fans went over there. It was great
- 35:51Speaker 3: experience for the fans. They had a you know, they
- 35:53Speaker 3: had a pig Pepper rally downtown. I'm sure they went
- 35:55Speaker 3: to Guinness and Jamison and you know all the different
- 35:57Speaker 3: places over there. I think they you know, get souvenir, tealings,
- 36:01Speaker 3: uh tealings, whiskey uh come back. So uh now, it was.
- 36:07Speaker 3: It was a great experience because we got to go
- 36:09Speaker 3: over and you know, show our brand in a different,
- 36:12Speaker 3: different part of the world where you talk about I
- 36:14Speaker 3: love I love Ireland. I love the people of Dublin.
- 36:18Speaker 3: I think there's a lot of similarities between the blue
- 36:21Speaker 3: collar uh work, you know, mentality that that they have
- 36:25Speaker 3: over there, and who we are as program at George
- 36:28Speaker 3: Tech and who we are as a as a football program.
- 36:31Speaker 1: You think you'd have made any an Ile money coach,
- 36:32Speaker 1: you captain, you know this is your program, you're coaching
- 36:35Speaker 1: it now back in the day for your guy, would
- 36:38Speaker 1: would you think you'd have made an inn i O
- 36:39Speaker 1: money as offensive lineman, not like you're making Bobby even
- 36:43Speaker 1: Come on, I agree, listen, I never compared to do
- 36:45Speaker 1: I would agree, Coach I'm doing I'm walking red carpets
- 36:47Speaker 1: over here. You know what I mean? What do you
- 36:49Speaker 1: think I'll tell you?
- 36:49Speaker 3: Man, Hey, hey, I grew up listening to you. Man,
- 36:51Speaker 3: I've listened for a long time. So this is this
- 36:54Speaker 3: is pretty cool.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Wait where where living at?
- 36:56Speaker 6: What?
- 36:57Speaker 2: Birmingham?
- 36:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I got I grew up in Birmingham and uh
- 37:01Speaker 3: came over here and went to college here. Uh coached
- 37:05Speaker 3: coach UCF for twelve years, you know, then University of Alabama.
- 37:08Speaker 3: And I'm just a redneck from Birmingham. This family way here,
- 37:13Speaker 3: got people around me, and.
- 37:14Speaker 1: You didn't even let your kids like explore Ireland. Like
- 37:16Speaker 1: that's the part to me. I'm like dank because we
- 37:18Speaker 1: we went up we were in uh were we roam
- 37:21Speaker 1: and then we saw like a couple of basketball teams
- 37:22Speaker 1: that were playing a basketball tournament up there, and I
- 37:24Speaker 1: was like that had been cool, Like coach, let you
- 37:25Speaker 1: go out like have some like ice cream. And then
- 37:28Speaker 1: just to find out coach didn't even let them go
- 37:30Speaker 1: out in Ireland to see anything.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Man, Well, I'm sure I'm sure after the game they
- 37:34Speaker 3: went out and explored a little bit.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Okay, let me ask you a post game when you
- 37:38Speaker 1: talk to the to your players. Obviously you have two
- 37:42Speaker 1: more games coming up, two big games come I think
- 37:44Speaker 1: in c State, Georgia. If I'm going from memory, right,
- 37:46Speaker 1: is that two games? How do you make sure they're
- 37:50Speaker 1: not overly excited about a win and they start focusing ahead.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Well, that's the thing. I hope we've learned learned lessons
- 37:58Speaker 3: in the past and winning games like this, and uh,
- 38:02Speaker 3: you got to put them behind you. And you know,
- 38:04Speaker 3: you got to put them behind you myself. Number one
- 38:06Speaker 3: is the head coach, uh, you know, the staff, the players, uh,
- 38:10Speaker 3: and and take the good and what comes out of
- 38:12Speaker 3: a good win like this and be able to utilize
- 38:13Speaker 3: it for the future and be able to so you
- 38:16Speaker 3: can reap those same benefits, the same rewards. But we
- 38:18Speaker 3: have two big games, big conference game on Thursday night
- 38:20Speaker 3: next Thursday night here in Atlanta, and then a game
- 38:24Speaker 3: the following Friday against the other team here in the state.
- 38:26Speaker 3: And uh, so it'll be you know, we had a
- 38:28Speaker 3: good stretch coming up here at the end.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Do you depend on players to patrol that a bit?
- 38:32Speaker 1: Like your leaders to make sure to like have these
- 38:34Speaker 1: conversations with some of the younger some of the younger,
- 38:37Speaker 1: younger players.
- 38:38Speaker 3: You do you know, I truly believe that that I
- 38:43Speaker 3: want to have a player players to have ownership in
- 38:45Speaker 3: the program.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Uh.
- 38:46Speaker 3: And they understand what ownership comes a lot of responsibility
- 38:49Speaker 3: and then accountability that comes along with the responsibility. So uh,
- 38:52Speaker 3: they've got to be accountable for their actions. Uh, they
- 38:54Speaker 3: got to be responsible for the others on the team.
- 38:56Speaker 3: We have a good group of a good core group
- 38:58Speaker 3: of leaders on our team and we good kids. So
- 39:01Speaker 3: are they all straight shooters?
- 39:02Speaker 6: No?
- 39:03Speaker 3: I don't want it that way.
- 39:04Speaker 7: Uh.
- 39:05Speaker 3: You don't want guys to be accountable, accountable to each
- 39:07Speaker 3: other though, and understand why they're in school and you're
- 39:09Speaker 3: in school to graduate from college and to win football games.
- 39:12Speaker 3: And you know, if you do anything that's going to
- 39:14Speaker 3: jeopardize do anither one of those, you shouldn't be doing it.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Uh you'll see why I'm asking this question. But how
- 39:19Speaker 1: do you guys pick your captains?
- 39:21Speaker 3: So each week?
- 39:22Speaker 6: Uh?
- 39:23Speaker 3: You know, each week we picked different ones. Here coming
- 39:25Speaker 3: up we will have uh we'll vote this week on
- 39:28Speaker 3: permanent team captains for the season. Uh, and that'll be
- 39:31Speaker 3: a group vote for the for all the players. But
- 39:34Speaker 3: each week it's it's a lot of different things. I
- 39:37Speaker 3: mean it's guys that it's a lot of seniors, like
- 39:39Speaker 3: a lot of guys in leadership. One week, I did
- 39:42Speaker 3: all walk homes or former walk homes. Uh, that are
- 39:45Speaker 3: important to the program, you know, special teams, offense, defense,
- 39:49Speaker 3: So just guys that you know. And sometimes it's guys
- 39:52Speaker 3: that need to have you know, big games this past week. Uh,
- 39:56Speaker 3: you know Haines and Hayes, king Kylie for Jamal Haynes
- 40:00Speaker 3: and then Trenillius Tatum and trend and trends of guys
- 40:02Speaker 3: for four years plays linebacker for US and you went
- 40:04Speaker 3: out had a really really really good football game.
- 40:07Speaker 7: Uh.
- 40:07Speaker 3: And he needed to and he did.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Because you were a captain back in the day, if
- 40:11Speaker 1: I'm correct. Do you ever feel like like i'd wear
- 40:13Speaker 1: that c still just to let him know because sometimes
- 40:15Speaker 1: kids don't know. Sometimes they forget, they don't know. They
- 40:17Speaker 1: think coach just like saying stuff. But I would wear
- 40:19Speaker 1: like the sea on my sweatshirt. I just thrown that idea.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I think it'd be I think it'd be a great
- 40:23Speaker 1: idea of coach.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Well, if you're a captain, that means you have leadership
- 40:26Speaker 3: qualities and if you have leadership qualities, you don't need
- 40:28Speaker 3: to tell people that you're a leader that should know it.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Yeah great, I just got told. Although I think if
- 40:33Speaker 1: he was wearing a seat, I think it meant coach.
- 40:35Speaker 1: I wouldn't even think. Yeah, I would have c for
- 40:38Speaker 1: captain to put the years down there. But yeah, yeah,
- 40:41Speaker 1: that's a great right, Yeah, and have it sold. Yes,
- 40:45Speaker 1: I would still wear that. I did, hey, coach, when
- 40:47Speaker 1: I was in college my first year, I still wore
- 40:48Speaker 1: my lettermans jacket from high school because I was only
- 40:50Speaker 1: a mediocre high school fotball player. And I got told
- 40:52Speaker 1: real quick only losers do that, so I stopped. I
- 40:56Speaker 1: stopped doing that. I wearded my wife sometimes to be funny,
- 40:58Speaker 1: but other than.
- 40:59Speaker 3: That, I'm just waiting for get cold so i can
- 41:00Speaker 3: wear my monk.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, coach, what's Georgia Tech? Like, I've never been there?
- 41:05Speaker 2: Like you went to school there, now you're the head
- 41:07Speaker 2: coach there, Like, explain to me what it stands for,
- 41:10Speaker 2: what it's, what it's like to go to school there,
- 41:12Speaker 2: and what it's like to play for Georgia Tech.
- 41:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 41:14Speaker 3: So, well, if you've never been here, you have you
- 41:17Speaker 3: both have invitation for me, all right, please love for
- 41:20Speaker 3: you guys to come here visit us. Uh, it's it's
- 41:23Speaker 3: truly a special place.
- 41:25Speaker 4: Uh.
- 41:26Speaker 3: A lot of people think that it's in Atlanta and
- 41:27Speaker 3: that you know, it's in the city and that it is.
- 41:29Speaker 3: But really the way this this place was built, Midtown
- 41:32Speaker 3: Atlanta was built around Gigia Tech. Georgia Tech's been here
- 41:35Speaker 3: longer than Midtown Atlanta has. So it's its own campus
- 41:39Speaker 3: within the city, which is really cool. You know, the
- 41:42Speaker 3: things you learn here just to go to school here
- 41:44Speaker 3: to learn and look, I'm not sitting here going to
- 41:46Speaker 3: tell you that I've used anything, you know, the chemistry,
- 41:50Speaker 3: equations or math or anything like that from college. But
- 41:54Speaker 3: what Georgia Tech does it teaches you how to you know,
- 41:56Speaker 3: figure things out, you know, how to solve problems. I'll
- 41:59Speaker 3: get Georgia Tech is is you know, it's technology, and
- 42:03Speaker 3: technology is and everybody, I mean, the greatest piece of
- 42:05Speaker 3: technology in the world is in everybody's hand and pocket
- 42:08Speaker 3: all the time right now. So, Uh, it just so
- 42:10Speaker 3: happens one of my teammates that I've played here with,
- 42:12Speaker 3: you know, invented the camera and all the technology and
- 42:14Speaker 3: the camera on the iPhone so I mean, that's that's
- 42:17Speaker 3: what technology is, is what Georgia Tech is. You know,
- 42:19Speaker 3: if you envision the old school, you know, steam engine
- 42:23Speaker 3: coming down the tracks and it busts through the mountain.
- 42:24Speaker 3: On the other side, it's the supersonic bullet train. You know,
- 42:27Speaker 3: that's kind of the past and the president of what
- 42:28Speaker 3: Georgia Tech football is.
- 42:30Speaker 1: And that sounds deep. It's really deep. Likely it's like
- 42:32Speaker 1: an intro of a book, like a pre something like
- 42:34Speaker 1: a bullet train. You lost me, but I'm probably because
- 42:38Speaker 1: it was a little too advanced for me. Coach, congratulations.
- 42:41Speaker 1: I was an awesome game. Awesome when I watched almost
- 42:44Speaker 1: the whole game, I was rooting for you guys a
- 42:46Speaker 1: big time. I hope you guys beat the crap out
- 42:47Speaker 1: of North Carolina State and Georgia and coach, thank you
- 42:49Speaker 1: for the time and congrats on so far a pretty
- 42:54Speaker 1: strong season. Looking forward to seeing where you guys end
- 42:55Speaker 1: up bowling.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Really appreciate it, man as an honored to be on here.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Like I said, listened for many many years. Up appreciate it.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Thanks coach, have a good day, all right. Thanks you'll
- 43:03Speaker 1: go Jackets, all right, Thanks to Coach key A couple
- 43:05Speaker 1: of things. I wanted to bring up one. So the
- 43:09Speaker 1: kicker for the Lions has kind of been on it
- 43:11Speaker 1: last couple of weeks, like making game game winning kicks.
- 43:14Speaker 1: So Jake Bates is his name. And how I know
- 43:16Speaker 1: about Jake Bates is he played at Arkansas, but he
- 43:19Speaker 1: wasn't the field goal kicker. He was only the kickoff specialist. Oh,
- 43:22Speaker 1: he didn't kick field goals for us. Really, yes, so
- 43:25Speaker 1: he may have kicked a couple, but he was not
- 43:28Speaker 1: our field goal kicker. But he's hit a couple game
- 43:31Speaker 1: winners for the Lions. It's just a very interesting story.
- 43:34Speaker 1: The one that he hit against the Texans was a
- 43:37Speaker 1: fifty two yarder. They end up winning the game. He
- 43:40Speaker 1: played soccer at Central Arkansas for two years in college.
- 43:47Speaker 1: He started a freshman and sophomore. Almost all of his
- 43:52Speaker 1: soccer game The matches are games, soccer matches, Okay.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Then he transferred to Texas State from playing soccer at
- 44:01Speaker 1: Central Arkansas. So we know Texas State, San Marcus. Yeah,
- 44:04Speaker 1: that's where we'd spent most a lot of our adult life.
- 44:06Speaker 1: And so he made the team as a kickoff specialist.
- 44:08Speaker 1: He did not kick fild goals of Texas State because
- 44:11Speaker 1: he just kicked far. So from there he went to Arkansas.
- 44:16Speaker 1: He earned first team All SEC honors as a kickoff specialist. Well,
- 44:19Speaker 1: not a kicker. He just put the t up and
- 44:21Speaker 1: kicks out the back of the ends on every single time.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Was he played the same time as Cam Little.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they crossed over a little bit. Yeah, yeah,
- 44:29Speaker 1: I think so two years ago, right, yeah, yeah. After
- 44:33Speaker 1: his college career was over again he was only kicking off.
- 44:36Speaker 1: He went undrafted and he tried out for the Texans,
- 44:40Speaker 1: did not make the cut. He went on to the
- 44:42Speaker 1: UFL and played for the Michigan Panthers. But he kicked
- 44:46Speaker 1: fil goals for the Michigan Panthers.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Wow.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Then in June this year, he's he may have the
- 44:51Speaker 1: longest kick in like UFL history or something, but the
- 44:52Speaker 1: UFO's only been around for like I don't know.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's the history of it.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Two weeks then he signed a a two year deal
- 45:00Speaker 1: with Detroit. He's fourteen for fourteen one field goals, including
- 45:03Speaker 1: three and fifty yards or more.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Wow.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Never crazy, sixty four yards longest UFL.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, so never was a field goal kicker was
- 45:11Speaker 1: by the way, it was literally a soccer player and
- 45:13Speaker 1: then just kicked the ball far So kicked the ball
- 45:15Speaker 1: for Textak, kicked the ball for at Arkansas, and then
- 45:17Speaker 1: just started kicking field goals. But wasn't the kicker. Isn't
- 45:20Speaker 1: that crazy?
- 45:21Speaker 2: That's really crazy.
- 45:21Speaker 1: I think he was the backup kicker everywhere. He was
- 45:23Speaker 1: a kickoff specialist in case of yeah, somebody went down
- 45:25Speaker 1: with Yeah, awesome, that's an amazing story.
- 45:29Speaker 2: What's like the Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, he was He
- 45:32Speaker 2: played soccer at Notre Dame. He never played football until
- 45:34Speaker 2: he went played I think for a UFL.
- 45:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I think same.
- 45:36Speaker 2: I think same, same kind of route, which is what
- 45:39Speaker 2: they're taking now.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I guess I watched it. I don't think that's what
- 45:41Speaker 1: they're taking. I think that's such a rare story, a story.
- 45:45Speaker 2: We just mentioned two of them in like two minutes,
- 45:47Speaker 2: so I thought like, well, maybe more.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Because it's a weird.
- 45:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I did watch a bunch of female soccer players,
- 45:52Speaker 1: I forget what university, seeing how long they can make
- 45:55Speaker 1: a kick with a soccer ball, and one girl mad
- 45:57Speaker 1: a forty five yard field goal with a soccer ball.
- 45:59Speaker 1: They were just nailing. It was awesome. I don't know
- 46:01Speaker 1: if a soccer ball is harder or easier to kick.
- 46:03Speaker 1: I can't kick anything, but it's pretty cool. There's one.
- 46:07Speaker 1: The kicker at Vanderbilt was a woman.
- 46:09Speaker 2: I remember that, you're a soccer player.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's three and had one in The Island
- 46:14Speaker 1: capt The Island from the movie.
- 46:16Speaker 5: When I was a freshman or high school kicker. Yeah, yeah,
- 46:18Speaker 5: she got female. Yeah, she's pretty good.
- 46:20Speaker 1: I guess she'd be better than the other guys.
- 46:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, let's go now to my guy from twenty
- 46:26Speaker 1: four to seven Sports, Brandon Marcelo. He is the guy
- 46:29Speaker 1: in college football. You can follow him at Brandon Marcelo
- 46:32Speaker 1: on Instagram. All right, here we go, Brandon, what's up, buddy?
- 46:35Speaker 4: What's going on?
- 46:36Speaker 1: I drain your article this morning about Florida State firing
- 46:39Speaker 1: both their coordinators and their wide receiver coach. Is Norville
- 46:44Speaker 1: going to last there?
- 46:45Speaker 4: It's a great question, you know, I think so they're
- 46:48Speaker 4: gonna give him another year. You know, usually when coaches
- 46:50Speaker 4: make a wholesale change like this late in the year,
- 46:53Speaker 4: that means they're safe and that they've got to make
- 46:55Speaker 4: some changes. And you know, they got a bye week
- 46:58Speaker 4: coming up. It's a perfect opportunity need to make those
- 47:00Speaker 4: changes and get the other staff members on board to
- 47:04Speaker 4: handle the other duties. But it just kind of shows
- 47:07Speaker 4: you how voltol it is in a coaching industry where
- 47:10Speaker 4: I mean, it isn't like these coordinators all of a
- 47:13Speaker 4: sudden forgot how to coach. I mean, they coached an
- 47:15Speaker 4: undefeated regular season team last year and a lot of
- 47:18Speaker 4: them got raises, and then this year the production fell
- 47:22Speaker 4: because of just how much they lost, but also how
- 47:25Speaker 4: many transfers they had to bring in, and you got
- 47:28Speaker 4: to make changes just from a face value to appease
- 47:30Speaker 4: the boosters and everybody. But yeah, I think Mike Norvel's safe,
- 47:35Speaker 4: but a lot of pressure going into next year. I mean,
- 47:38Speaker 4: this is a guy that he's only had a winning
- 47:41Speaker 4: record when Jordan Travis has been his quarterback at Florida State.
- 47:45Speaker 4: All the other years and games they've had a losing record,
- 47:49Speaker 4: and so next year is kind of a prove it
- 47:50Speaker 4: point for him.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Florida football does not seem to be going well in
- 47:54Speaker 1: general as far as Florida and Florida State, and then
- 47:59Speaker 1: are they going to keep Florida stable as well and
- 48:02Speaker 1: give him another year? I mean, I know they said
- 48:04Speaker 1: they are, but will that last?
- 48:05Speaker 4: I think so. I think that this is a money
- 48:07Speaker 4: thing for them, right, We're getting into the revenue sharing era.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Florida is going to have to start spending twenty and
- 48:13Speaker 4: a half million dollars a year on their newer line
- 48:18Speaker 4: item in their athletics department to pay players. And so
- 48:21Speaker 4: when you look at Billy Napier, his buyout, I think
- 48:24Speaker 4: is going to be a little bit north of twenty
- 48:25Speaker 4: six million dollars. So you're talking about nearly fifty million
- 48:29Speaker 4: dollars you'd have to spend on just maintaining the status
- 48:33Speaker 4: quo and to be able to open the door to
- 48:36Speaker 4: get a new coach in there, which would cost you
- 48:38Speaker 4: even more money to bring someone in, and you'd be
- 48:40Speaker 4: starting over once again. I think a lot of programs
- 48:43Speaker 4: out there see this new revenue sharing era as an
- 48:47Speaker 4: opportunity to kind of reset the coaching market. And by that,
- 48:50Speaker 4: I mean we've been in this weird era where we've
- 48:54Speaker 4: been allowing agents to kind of hang huge paydays and
- 48:59Speaker 4: buyouts the AD's heads, and I think those days are over.
- 49:03Speaker 4: You're not going to be able to settle something up
- 49:07Speaker 4: where you got a seventy five million dollar buyout like
- 49:09Speaker 4: a Jimbo Fisher anymore. These that flag departments just don't
- 49:12Speaker 4: want to spend that type of money anyway. But they're
- 49:14Speaker 4: especially not going to be able to now with the
- 49:16Speaker 4: revenue sharing with players, so I ain't coaching contracts. They're
- 49:20Speaker 4: going to start being squeezed a little bit with these
- 49:22Speaker 4: new hires being made starting this year. And when it
- 49:25Speaker 4: comes to Billy Napier and programs like that, where they
- 49:28Speaker 4: might have fired him in any other year without revenue sharing,
- 49:32Speaker 4: I this is an opportunity for them to kind of
- 49:34Speaker 4: refocus their money on nil and with players in a
- 49:39Speaker 4: transfer portal, they're going to try and do everything they
- 49:41Speaker 4: can and focus all that to try and turn things around,
- 49:44Speaker 4: make a good effort for it next year under Billy Napier.
- 49:48Speaker 4: I like a lot of programs out there that are
- 49:50Speaker 4: kind of on the sense about making changes, will end
- 49:53Speaker 4: up keeping their coach just so that they can put
- 49:56Speaker 4: more money into buying players so to speak, going into
- 49:59Speaker 4: the next This is.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Totally speculative on my part and I know nothing about it. However,
- 50:05Speaker 1: any chance the Napier of Florida isn't getting fired because
- 50:09Speaker 1: they don't want to look for a basketball coach and
- 50:10Speaker 1: a football coach at the same time after the accusations
- 50:12Speaker 1: about the basketball coach.
- 50:14Speaker 4: I don't know, maybe, but you know, it's interesting the
- 50:18Speaker 4: timing that that all finally came out with Todd Golden,
- 50:20Speaker 4: the allegations being had out there, you know, came out
- 50:25Speaker 4: after Napier was assured that he would be coming back
- 50:28Speaker 4: for next next year. But this is an investigation that's
- 50:31Speaker 4: apparently been going on since August internally with a Title
- 50:33Speaker 4: nine investigation there. And this is an issue for Scott
- 50:38Speaker 4: Strickland long term as the ad because he's previously had
- 50:43Speaker 4: internal strife investigations with the soccer coach who ended up
- 50:48Speaker 4: being let go a few years ago, and the women's
- 50:50Speaker 4: basketball coach similarly the previous one, I should say that
- 50:54Speaker 4: they end up having to let go as well. So
- 50:56Speaker 4: he's had a string of issues within it a flex
- 51:00Speaker 4: department among his leadership that he's had to make decisions
- 51:03Speaker 4: and make changes. And I think it's very clear that
- 51:06Speaker 4: if he made the decision at this point to get
- 51:09Speaker 4: rid of Napier, that it probably meant that Strickland was
- 51:12Speaker 4: going to be on his way out too, because those
- 51:14Speaker 4: two are tied at the hip. I mean, if Strickland
- 51:17Speaker 4: survives all this with the Todd Golden allegations and everything,
- 51:21Speaker 4: very much next year his job is going to depend
- 51:24Speaker 4: on whether Billy Napier wins as a football coach.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Let's talk about LSU Alabama. I was watching, I mean
- 51:28Speaker 1: I watched most of the game until I got out
- 51:30Speaker 1: of hand. I feel like Alabama just owns LSU and
- 51:34Speaker 1: like they're not afraid of going down. It doesn't matter
- 51:38Speaker 1: where they play, if it's Tuscalos or Death Valley, and
- 51:40Speaker 1: like they just go in, they do their thing. They
- 51:43Speaker 1: run the ball. They couldn't stop the quarterback.
- 51:46Speaker 7: E ls.
- 51:46Speaker 1: You couldn't stop quarterback.
- 51:47Speaker 4: I of raining.
- 51:48Speaker 1: It was just like the game. I felt LSU knew
- 51:51Speaker 1: they would win going into it. Your thoughts Alabama knew
- 51:57Speaker 1: they would win, not LSU.
- 51:58Speaker 4: Yeah, same way. I mean, Alabama has owned them down
- 52:01Speaker 4: in Baton Rouge anyway. And you looked at the line
- 52:04Speaker 4: going in, Alabama was a slight favorite. I think that
- 52:07Speaker 4: told you everything you need to know. Is a night
- 52:08Speaker 4: game at LSU, all the hype and yet Alabama was
- 52:11Speaker 4: still favored, And that told you everything Vegas thought about
- 52:13Speaker 4: the Tide against the Tigers and laid listen. It's not
- 52:18Speaker 4: very often you see LSU fans leaving the game late
- 52:21Speaker 4: in the third quarter, before even the final quarter, and
- 52:24Speaker 4: they were streaming out of the stands. I mean, that
- 52:26Speaker 4: place was dominated by Alabama fans in the fourth quarter.
- 52:30Speaker 4: And LSU's got problems defensively. They have not been able
- 52:33Speaker 4: to really slow down any dual threat quarterbacks this year.
- 52:37Speaker 4: Lenora Sellers at South Carolina struggled against obviously Marcel Reid
- 52:41Speaker 4: when he came in in the second half of Texas
- 52:42Speaker 4: A and M, and they end up rallying from a
- 52:45Speaker 4: ten point deficit to win by double digits themselves against
- 52:48Speaker 4: LSU and then Jalen Milroe. I mean, goodness, gracious, nearly
- 52:51Speaker 4: two hundred yards rushing at quarterback, had four touchdowns, first
- 52:56Speaker 4: quarterback since two thousand to score four touchdowns rushing against
- 53:00Speaker 4: the same opponent in back to back years. LSU's got
- 53:04Speaker 4: a problem against dual threat quarterbacks and that just set
- 53:09Speaker 4: up perfectly. It was a perfect matchup for Alabama. And
- 53:12Speaker 4: also big credit to Alabama's defense. The last two games,
- 53:15Speaker 4: they've been incredible. They shut out in Mazoo and in
- 53:18Speaker 4: Garbage time they allow a touchdown and gets LSU, but
- 53:21Speaker 4: wasn't really allowing a touchdown at all with their starters
- 53:24Speaker 4: in the game. They're playing elite defense for the first
- 53:27Speaker 4: time all season, and what better time to do it
- 53:30Speaker 4: than in the final month of the regular season is
- 53:31Speaker 4: they make a push to the playoff.
- 53:33Speaker 1: I was watching Brian Kelly's post game and he was like, listen,
- 53:36Speaker 1: we had a scheme. We worked on it for two weeks.
- 53:40Speaker 1: We just weren't able to stop him. Any chance that
- 53:43Speaker 1: he's starting his seat warming up a little bit.
- 53:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so. I don't think they make a
- 53:48Speaker 4: change obviously this year, but they give him another year here.
- 53:52Speaker 4: You know, what's really frustrating for him is that the
- 53:54Speaker 4: third year of every program he's led, it's really either
- 53:57Speaker 4: been the peak or like the watermark of what their
- 54:00Speaker 4: expectation as a program moving forward. He's won double digit
- 54:04Speaker 4: games every year in year three. In previous spots, he's
- 54:07Speaker 4: had two undefeated regular season records in his third year elsewhere,
- 54:13Speaker 4: including the Notre Dame team that went to the National
- 54:16Speaker 4: Championship Game. And then this year you expected them to
- 54:20Speaker 4: at least win ten games, and now they're looking like
- 54:22Speaker 4: they won't do that unless they went out, including their
- 54:24Speaker 4: bowl game. I mean, listen, he's the winningest like active
- 54:27Speaker 4: coach as far as just consistency. I mean, he's won
- 54:31Speaker 4: ten games in seven straight seasons, which leads all of
- 54:33Speaker 4: college football. And now it's all of a sudden we're
- 54:36Speaker 4: starting to see little deans in the armor for him.
- 54:39Speaker 4: And this has been something's going on since like Week one.
- 54:42Speaker 4: Remember him slamming his fists against the table, saying, you
- 54:45Speaker 4: can't figure it out. What's going on. It's been like
- 54:48Speaker 4: that every week for them. I'm starting to wonder if
- 54:51Speaker 4: LSU is turning into more of an inconsistent program that
- 54:55Speaker 4: we saw back in the nineties. If you remember that
- 54:58Speaker 4: the pre Saban era LSU, where they had the talent
- 55:02Speaker 4: because it was Louisiana, but they were so inconsistent year
- 55:06Speaker 4: to year. You could expect in the maybe challenge in
- 55:09Speaker 4: the SEC, but then some years they're really down. I
- 55:12Speaker 4: wonder if we're getting back to that with LSU, especially
- 55:15Speaker 4: because other programs have more talent now because of the
- 55:18Speaker 4: transfer portal, because of NIL, everybody else seems to have
- 55:22Speaker 4: taken a step forward and LSU is just stagnant. They're
- 55:25Speaker 4: kind of just standing there being what they've always been,
- 55:27Speaker 4: and under Brian Kelly, you expected them to take a
- 55:30Speaker 4: step forward to figure this all out here these last
- 55:33Speaker 4: three years, to kind of stay in lockstep with everybody else.
- 55:36Speaker 4: But it seems to me they're falling behind a little bit.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Less comment about the game, and we can't make excuses,
- 55:43Speaker 1: but I think the rain, like the fun when it
- 55:45Speaker 1: was fourteen to three, then fourteen to six, it still
- 55:48Speaker 1: felt like LSU was in the mix. That fumble that
- 55:52Speaker 1: was near the end zone, I mean, a wet ball
- 55:56Speaker 1: from a team that throws a lot. Do you feel
- 55:59Speaker 1: like that hurt Lu? Like you can't predict the weather, right,
- 56:01Speaker 1: but but still I think that game was just so
- 56:04Speaker 1: made for Alabama and how they played ball, I mean,
- 56:05Speaker 1: but especially as much as they ran the ball.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Yeah, Alabama was a better running team, not just obviously
- 56:10Speaker 4: with Miller of quarterback, but also running back. You know,
- 56:13Speaker 4: LSU knew going to this game they needither run the
- 56:15Speaker 4: ball more. The last couple of weeks have been trying
- 56:17Speaker 4: to focus on that with Kay Durham. They're young running back,
- 56:20Speaker 4: but they couldn't quite get it going against Bama. So
- 56:23Speaker 4: then you revert back to Garrett Nussmayer in this passing offense,
- 56:26Speaker 4: and you know, Nutsmyer hasn't been great all season. He's
- 56:30Speaker 4: thrown I think like two plus interceptions and for the
- 56:33Speaker 4: last five games he's really struggling out there. That one
- 56:37Speaker 4: pick by Deontay Lawson in the end zone they're late
- 56:40Speaker 4: was kind of not say it was a fluke, but
- 56:43Speaker 4: he just didn't see him and he threw it and
- 56:45Speaker 4: he jumped up and got it, and you know, but
- 56:47Speaker 4: you can't have And that's the thing with LSU. When
- 56:50Speaker 4: they make mistakes, they always make them in like the
- 56:52Speaker 4: big critical situations. I mean they made a long drive,
- 56:55Speaker 4: you get down inside the ten, and then you throw
- 56:57Speaker 4: a pick, you have a fumble. Those those are the
- 57:00Speaker 4: things obviously you're not going to win you games, but
- 57:02Speaker 4: especially against the likes of Alabama, and they just don't
- 57:05Speaker 4: have a gamer at quarterback. I thought Garrett Nutsmyer was
- 57:08Speaker 4: going to be so much better this year for them
- 57:10Speaker 4: and continue that long trend they've had of great quarterbacks,
- 57:13Speaker 4: but it seems like the moment's been too big for
- 57:15Speaker 4: him in these big games.
- 57:16Speaker 1: That's how I throw interceptions on Madden all the time.
- 57:19Speaker 1: I don't see how linebacker and I like it just
- 57:21Speaker 1: jumps up like again, he just didn't see him and
- 57:23Speaker 1: he just jumped up, took it. Game over. Let's talk
- 57:26Speaker 1: about Georgia interceptions. I mean, dude, does Carson back suck?
- 57:30Speaker 7: Now?
- 57:30Speaker 4: Yeah? I meant no quarterback. I mean it's I hate
- 57:34Speaker 4: to say it, but I mean he's regressed. And no
- 57:37Speaker 4: quarterback in the last four to five years has thrown
- 57:39Speaker 4: more interceptions than him. In a six game stretch in
- 57:41Speaker 4: the SEC, He's thrown I think twelve or ten, ten
- 57:44Speaker 4: to twelve in the last six games. Insane stretch here.
- 57:48Speaker 4: He's really struggling. And the problem is, like we knew
- 57:50Speaker 4: going into this year, like what's he going to look
- 57:53Speaker 4: like at quarterback when he doesn't have lad mcconkeye and
- 57:55Speaker 4: Brock Bauers too, the better receivers and tight ends they
- 57:58Speaker 4: ever come through Georgia letlone the end the SEC, and
- 58:01Speaker 4: he hasn't found a go to threat. Their receivers are
- 58:04Speaker 4: not elite. He's got like one great receiver and everybody
- 58:08Speaker 4: else is just kind of good, and you could tell
- 58:10Speaker 4: he just doesn't have a lot of confidence in them.
- 58:12Speaker 4: But what's also hurting Georgia this year is that their
- 58:15Speaker 4: offensive line is not great. It is really regressed as well.
- 58:19Speaker 4: So you mix that all up and Carson Beck's gone
- 58:22Speaker 4: from a quarterback who last year made the quickest decisions
- 58:25Speaker 4: out of anybody in the country. He had the fastest
- 58:27Speaker 4: release of the football from his hand in all of
- 58:30Speaker 4: college football, according to the analytics, and it just isn't
- 58:33Speaker 4: there this year because he doesn't have the confidence in
- 58:35Speaker 4: his receivers and also that offensive line, and he's regressed.
- 58:40Speaker 4: He's tumbling down those NFL draft boards this year.
- 58:43Speaker 1: He does as Oh they said that like eight times
- 58:45Speaker 1: in the broadcast, like you rarely hear announcer's talk about
- 58:47Speaker 1: draft stock, and it's like every series Carson Beck's falling down.
- 58:50Speaker 1: He will not be a first round He also has
- 58:53Speaker 1: like a weird and it's only weird because he's so
- 58:55Speaker 1: goofy that full arm sleeve on such a goofy dude,
- 58:58Speaker 1: And maybe if he didn't throw so many interceptions, I
- 59:00Speaker 1: wouldn't think it was so bad. But like if you
- 59:02Speaker 1: have something bowl like a full arm sleeve, like, you
- 59:04Speaker 1: gotta be good, you gotta be.
- 59:06Speaker 4: Really good, and you got to you gotta be a
- 59:08Speaker 4: ball or you gotta be out there just absolutely slinging
- 59:10Speaker 4: the ball every game and doing things and he yeah,
- 59:13Speaker 4: it's like it doesn't fit his personality. He'd be like
- 59:15Speaker 4: me going, you know, walking around with the arm sleeve
- 59:18Speaker 4: filing stories on Saturdays, like dude, what do you what
- 59:21Speaker 4: are you doing? Man, he ain't cool just because it
- 59:23Speaker 4: looks cool on everybody else. You gotta have the swagger,
- 59:26Speaker 4: you gotta have the winning attitude. You gotta be great
- 59:29Speaker 4: to pull that off. And man, it's he's a big
- 59:33Speaker 4: target out there. And also because of who his girlfriend is.
- 59:35Speaker 4: I mean, he's just the type of guy that's gonna
- 59:38Speaker 4: get a lot of attention anyway. But man, when you're
- 59:40Speaker 4: when you're not doing so well and you're sucking, boy,
- 59:43Speaker 4: there's a big target on you.
- 59:44Speaker 1: And he doesn't have a good face for an arm sleeve,
- 59:46Speaker 1: Like you also need a good face to have a
- 59:47Speaker 1: full arm sleeve. And he has a kind of have
- 59:48Speaker 1: a goofy take it from another guy, has a goofy face.
- 59:51Speaker 1: He has kind of have a goofy face. And he
- 59:52Speaker 1: you know, if you're gonna the interceptions and you have
- 59:54Speaker 1: a goofy face, maybe not an arm sleeve. Hey, well,
- 59:56Speaker 1: is Georgia done? Are they done in the in the
- 59:58Speaker 1: College fotball playoff.
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: No, because they get Tennessee this week. So they beat
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: Tennessee this week at home, they're very much still in
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: it and could potentially still get to Atlanta. The SEC
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: is a mess. I mean, we still have an opportunity
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: here for an eight way tie in the SEC going
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: into the SEC championship game. Good luck figuring out the
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: tie breakers there. They're gonna be a have to bring
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: out the world's best mathematicians if that happens.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: And you just electoral college and went out, But yeah,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: use the electoral college. Let's figure out who won the thing.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: There you go. But you know, if they went out,
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: they're still going to be in the playoffs. It's just,
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: you know, I thought, you know, I was telling someone
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: this earlier. It just seemed like we're so used to
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: Georgia just being like the same type of team year
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: after year after year. And the problem is is this
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: isn't a photo copy of previous Georgia teams. This is
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: a photo copy of a photo copy, and the and
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: the resolution has gone down big time.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: I watched probably a quarter and a half of the
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Utah BYU game. I did watch the end of the game.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I saw this, I thought it was over. They called
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: the hold on the corner, and only in clips the
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: next day did I watched the Utah ad come out
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: and go all right, basically Big twelve sucks.
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: He was like, we have a problem. What are your
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: thoughts because I do feel like that was a hold. Again,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: the only angle I could see though in the replay
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: was like the far angle from the other side of
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: the field. I do feel like it was a bit
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: of a hold. There's also should they have called it?
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: Then?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Just give me your thoughts on that play that game,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: and then the ad saying that after the game.
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: Yeah, officials usually keep the flag tuck into their belts
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: in big situations like that, especially on the final down
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: and back up in the end zone like that. But
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: this is two games I've seen this year where officials
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: changed potentially the outcome of the game. I go back
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: to Ohio State Oregon. The reps here got flag happy
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: on Ohio State's final drive to kind of help extend
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: drive the drive for them, and then Oregon ended up
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: winning anyway, so they wasn't a big issue. But in
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: this game, you kind of wonder, what are we doing
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: they keep the flag in your pants. There a little
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: bit that changed the outcome of the game. Obviously, I
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: can understand why the Utah ad was very upset. He's
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: very out there. He's willing to speak his mind. This
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: isn't the first time he's spoke in his mind. It's
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: just that he's never really come out and be so
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: critical of his conference, and it's probably best to not
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: do that when it's your first year in the Big twelve,
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: in your new home, to be doing that. And so
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: he gets fined forty thousand dollars, which you know, listen,
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: ads make a lot of money, but it's not that
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: much money. I do wonder you know, it's going into
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: that press conference. A booster walked up to him and said, Hey,
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: I gotcha. I will pay whatever fine you gotta pay,
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: but go in there and rip these officials. This is
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: complete bs he did.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: I mean, he went hard, specifically called out the conference.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: I liked it.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I mean it probably was a hold, but the quarter, Yeah,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: it was just so late in the game, like it's
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: ballsy to make a call like that as a ref
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: knowing it's going to change the entire Again, they still
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: had to make the drive but that was a that
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: was a tough that's a tough call for that ref
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: unless he knew somebody that had some money on it.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: That's all honest. Okay, final question for you here, Let's
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: do this man have so much? Okay, let's do let's
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: do Indiana want? That was a I'll say, a gritty game,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: kind of a boring game to watch as far as
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: like if you wanted to see points, a lot of defense,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: special teams, especially with Indiana. Indiana beats Michigan. That's a win.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Twenty fifteen. Indiana is now ten tozer for the first
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: time ever. They're probably in the playoff, right even if
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: they lose Ohio State.
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: I think so does a committee think that? Because I
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: have Indiana ranked ahead of Penn State in my rankings,
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: but the committee last week did not. And I think
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: we can all agree that the Big ten's obviously going
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: to get three teams in, maybe they get four in.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: But are we setting ourselves up for a potential where
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: we're going, Well, should the Big ten really get four
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: teams in? And is that four team Indiana? And it's
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: it's that I wonder at that point the committee will
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: start comparing scores and by that meant, I mean, what
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: is Indiana's result coming up in two weeks against Ohio
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: State compared to Penn State losing by one touchdown to
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: Ohio State. No one should be comparing scores for that matter.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: In my opinion, if Indiana just finishes with one loss
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: and misses the Big Ten championship game, they should still
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: be in the playoff. They played the schedule that was
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: given to them. They've beaten everybody by fourteen points or
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: more other than Michigan so far this season. They deserve
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: to be in. But some red flags came up in
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: that game. For me, the offense, which has been so
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: explosive against everybody this year, had only eighteen yards in
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: the second half against Michigan. Their best receiver, Elijah Surat,
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: dropped two big passes in the fourth quarter that could
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: have really iced that game away. But having said all that,
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: even within quote unquote being a five point game, I
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: never really felt like Indiana was in threat of losing
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: that game because of the way Michigan's offense is set up.
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: They're just not very good, and so I think that
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: this game could potentially kind of help Indiana because now
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: they finally see some of their weaknesses get exposed. But man,
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: it's going to be very difficult for them in two
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: weeks having to go on the road to Ohio State,
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: a program where they're thirty and one against in their
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: last thirty one meetings against Ohio State. But this is
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: a historic gear for Indiana. If they lose that game,
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: I still think they should be a playoff team. What
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: if they lose by forty, then we start talking about
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: that comparing scores thing. I guarantee you without saying it,
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: the playoff committee will weigh that, and that's going to
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: be they could participely controversy there. But again, the Big
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: Ten might get four teams in the playoff. Anyway, it'll
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: be a mood point.

- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Panthers Giants is its garbage battlet garbage Panthers one. How
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: about you Patriots? They'd be theree. That story, though, is
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: not the Patriots being the Bears. That story is the
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Bears cannot score a touchdown.
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: It it's for one hundred and forty two yards total.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: It's real bad. I didn't realize how bad it was
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: because again, you're watching on red zone.
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: Yeah, and there wasn't much to watch because there wasn't
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: a red zone.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Really bad, like they haven't got a touchdown, and there
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: was some some point they were talking about specifically they
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: haven't score a touchdown in so many drives. But yeah,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: that is a bad offense.
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: The Hill Mary, I think I was going to say
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: turning point. Yeah, the Jayden, Yeah, Daniels and they haven't
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: been the same since.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Bills and Colts. That was an ugly game. Ugly kind
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: of got close there at a minute, it did. There
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: were like a bunch of interceptions, Flacco interceptions.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: That's the thing, Flacco magics.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I think it's Bills went that one. Broncos lose to
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: the Chiefs on a game winning block, which is cool.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: You really see block field goals, but see one in
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: the end of a game and actually watch it yourself
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: instead of watching it on a clip. It is different too,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: because you're watch because if you're watching a clip, you're like,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: why would they be showing this field goal unless they Oh,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: it was awesome and the Patrick Mahomes is running right,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: It is amazing. It is amazing. Saints and Falcons. I
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: don't know. That game was kind of garbage too. Yeah,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: like I Saints one, congratulations they fired Dennis Allen. They
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: won the game. That's cool Falcons did not look good
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: and Drake Lennon's kind of hurt, right, uh forty nine
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Ers Bucks, That's what I must say. I know the
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Niners one that stiff arm that Baker Mayfield put on
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Bosa and held awesome that whole drive. Yeah, he was
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: playing out of his brains. Uh So Bucks lost the game.
- 1:09:24Speaker 10: But I think the like the it's a shame that
- 1:09:26Speaker 10: they're all hurt. All the receivers have notice. Yeah, yeah
- 1:09:28Speaker 10: they're good, they are good.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Yeah, Baker plays hard man.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: He's the man.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: I would love him on my team Steelers Commanders. Hey,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: how about that that they drove them off sides? Oh
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: my gosh, how do you fall for that?
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: And I don't understand the one thing you cannot do
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: right now is jumped off side? That guy felt so
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: bad And then you see him Russell Wilson dancing dancing
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: he did like yeah, like when shoe Wifer, like, what's
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: he doing?
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I think since he started and I think they said
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: it in the I guess he has the highest passer
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: rating of our highest quarterback grating of anybody in the NFL.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: He made some great throws in that game.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Mike Williams, how about this guy game winning touchdown. Yeah,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: good for him, that's awesome. Yeah and then yeah, right,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: we'll get there. The Vikings and Jags was a disaster
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: of a game. They did not score a touchdown the
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Vikings one. They did not score a touchdown. They threw
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: three interceptions.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: That's the same Darnold that I remember.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: And your old quarterback started, Kevin. Yeah, yeah, they that
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: those helmets are terrible for Jacksonville.
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: Don't like them.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: They should not wear the shell helmet. I like, they
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: look like they're dirty and white, not just white. They
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: it's like dirty.
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: It took me a minute to realize who was even playing,
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: but I liked.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: It every time I go to the house.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Like the explanation was, they were like seashell colored. They're
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: not full white. There were shell like seashell because of
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Jacksonville in the Ocean coast. Yes, Chargers Titans I watched
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: about Cowboys were on the same time. Yes, yeah, flipping
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: back and forth. I just never expected the Titans to
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: be in it, so I just didn't invest a lot
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: of like intellectual you didn't miss much. Really, No, I
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: made not a single note.
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: It was a boy game.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I made not a single note Herbert looked good. I
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: saw Herbert run the touchdown in the direct the running
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: play or whatever. Then yeah, he made a couple of
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: good cuts, like showed some athletic ability there, look at
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: me out there, Eagles, Cowboys, you know where we're getting Casey.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: So the Jets are dead. The Jets are officially dead.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: And it was not close.
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:11:40Speaker 10: Also, just uh, can we just stop with like the
- 1:11:42Speaker 10: sauce gardener thing like that. I think he's lost his sauce.
- 1:11:46Speaker 10: You know, he's just he's med. I go, but you
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: go by the first name.
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: That trade McBride play was unboloom.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, dude, that was wild, Like he like jumped,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: he broke, broke.
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: Yeah, jumped.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a dude.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: Not really, No, that's his his moniker, got it.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Kyler Murray looks so small that he died. He died rocked.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: That guy was unblocked to so it wasn't even like
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: something like somebody missed an assignment. Yeah, and he hit
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: so hard as helmet flew off, and then he was
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: like smiling after, like thank god, it's okay. But then
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I thought, is he smiling because like he doesn't know
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: who he is? Just like the Joker.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: And then the Lions meet the Texans. That was a
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: good game, got through five picks. There were a lot
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: of interceptions, right, yeah.
- 1:12:39Speaker 10: Texans, they are not playing well, I know, but that
- 1:12:42Speaker 10: division is so bad that they're still gonna win.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: The Texans are also missing pretty much everybody because I
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: think he's tanked, all gone. He played last night, No, no, no,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: I'm not going to take you the others. Dicks is
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: gone and.
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: They looked good last night, like they were fired up
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: the crowd, but they just couldn't score. Touchdown now and
- 1:12:59Speaker 5: you were like, as soon as they couldn't score for
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: the third time, You're like, man, the line, the are
- 1:13:02Speaker 5: gonna come back at some point.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I can't believe through that many interceptions, a lot back
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: and forth. It's so bad. Okay, I think we're done here.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Did we already go to break micro now a second?
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: Break?
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: Yeah, we're good.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Okay. I'd like to talk about wrestling for a second.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: You can hit the music because I'm gonna and DoD on.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: This's my favorite thing so back in the day, and
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I think even if you don't really know wrestling, you
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: don't remember for sure, you know the Undertaker Mike saw
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Undertaker textans it's huge, and who is the Undertaker's brother,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Caine k Kane. Yeah, so Caine comes out and Kane's
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: he's now like the mayor in East Tennessee town. Yeah,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: something like that.
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: So but in wrestling now, they're all these smaller groups.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: And a few months ago there was a wrestler named
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: gine G a y Any and he would come out
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: and he looks like Kane, much smaller, but he'd be
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: in like Rainbow colors. It was a gay Cane. Oh yeah,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: everything is exactly the same. It's exactly the same. His
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: moves were quite flamboyant for Rainbow.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Oh it gets it so and that I would watch
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: and I would laugh because it was just a parody
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: of Cane. But they were making him what would be
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: considered Let me let me get my words right here,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: make sure this comes out right. Yes, well, you get
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: it all right. His name is Gane. So there's this
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: new guy that's dressed all in white and he comes
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: out and see if you can guess his name. It's
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: another spin off. He comes out dressed in all white
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: and he gets beat up, and none of these Canes
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: are the same size as the real cane because he's
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: a monster like parodies. He comes out and he's getting
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: beat up, and all of a sudden he'll take his
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: nose ago and he gets a lot of energy. His
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: name is Coin Funny, So Cocaine is now a controversial wrestler.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Then there there is this guy that comes like walking
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: with a lamp and his hose. His name is Pimp Caine,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: like a pimp ca.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: So they are starting to be all these Cane spin
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: offs and it's hilarious.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: We need like a royal rumble. The problem is they're
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: not in these.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Real organizations, right. So I know there's other ones because
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: I bookmarked one of them. Let me find it and
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: oh here here we go go.
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: It is crazy.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Okay, there's a gay Caine game, Cocaine female. She's fully
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: striped red and white like can but look like it
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: looks like a candy game. Okay, And he's dressed This
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: next newest member is dressing like leopard and got his
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: head and to get it anyway, I'll let you guys
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: know when there music bumped me up. The first time
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: I saw a game game, I was like, this is
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: think cocaine and then he gets all so yeah, that's
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: what's up. I hope you guys have a great day
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: and we will see you on the other side. Thanks
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: to coach, Thanks to Brandon Marcelo, and thanks pretty much.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: It do you want to blow? You want blow the wist?
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: This you can do.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: I can do that.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and sorry case if you're a lost and Arkansas
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: lost basketball, but they play Baylor pretty close. Baylor's pretty good.
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: New York football is in utter shamples. But yeah, it's
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: all right.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm in the acceptance stage of this. You
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: should combine teams. I still don't think you'd be that good.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: I feel like just a New York team, the Giant,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: the Giants, Yeah, Giants, the Giants. Let's do anything the
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: rest of the year.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: I think anything.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: You think Aaron Rodgers quits, he should. I think it's
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: time or like a mystery mystery ailment. You're thinking, like
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: maybe he'll go, like you know, go to South America
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: and just be gone. But he's got to have a reason, right,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: He's gotta have like his elbows heard or something.
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: I can't do it right now, his ankle or messing
- 1:17:25Speaker 5: up right.
