- 0:00Leviticus chapter one, let us pray.
- 0:05Our Father who's in heaven, we thank you God, for another day
- 0:09to come and to worship you in spirit and truth.
- 0:13We thank you for the blood that ran red down that cross.
- 0:18We thank you that it covers us from the top of our head to the
- 0:21bottom of our feet. We thank you, God, for the water
- 0:25that spilled out of his side. Lord, we worship Jesus Christ
- 0:31the anointed 1, the Messiah, the all sufficient 1.
- 0:37Lord, we worship him with every single molecule, every single
- 0:44cell. Father, we pulsate towards the
- 0:49light, towards the sun. Lord, we are thankful for
- 0:53Yeshua. We're thankful for the Crown of
- 0:56Thorn pushed upon his brow. Lord, we are thankful for the
- 1:01dice that were cast, Lord, to divide his garments, Lord, we're
- 1:06thankful, Lord, that they found no fault in him.
- 1:12Lord, we are thankful, God, that He chose willingly to go and to
- 1:16sacrifice himself so that we could be there with you.
- 1:21Lord, I pray for all of those who are outside the camp.
- 1:25Lord, I pray for all those who have yet to come into the fold.
- 1:29Lord, my heart is broken today for those who are willingly
- 1:34choosing to go down these paths of destruction.
- 1:38God, rescue them. Father, bring the prodigals
- 1:42home. God, I pray that you will
- 1:45restore relationships. God, I pray that the children
- 1:51will come back to the parents. God, I pray in the name of
- 1:55Jesus. God, that marriages will be
- 1:58restored. Lord, that we will be the
- 2:01ministers of reconciliation, that we will be more than
- 2:04conquerors, that we will be the peace makers in the land.
- 2:07God, I pray against all the schemes of the enemy.
- 2:10God, bind the enemy today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ,
- 2:16cast him into the judgment that you have a waiting for him.
- 2:18God, I pray that he has no hold on our households.
- 2:23God. I pray that you, Lord, will get
- 2:26all the glory that will put you on the rightful throne of our
- 2:30hearts. God, that there will be no
- 2:33lesser lovers, no idols. God that we'll bow down to Lord
- 2:37or swear by God. I pray that we can have clean
- 2:40hands and a pure heart. I pray God that we can enter in
- 2:43to the throne room of grace, the holiest of holy places.
- 2:47God, shower us with the Shekinah glory today.
- 2:56Thank you for the opportunity to come, Lord, and to learn to
- 3:00reason, to dine, and to sulk. God, I pray that you'll rebuke
- 3:05the Devourer from off of this time.
- 3:08Teach us your mighty ways, Lord. Help us to come up to where you
- 3:13are, Father. Lord, I pray we'll feel the
- 3:16depths of your love today for humanity.
- 3:20Let us be the difference makers, Lord.
- 3:24Let us be found in the harvest. Help us not to sit on the
- 3:28sidelines. God, I pray she'll help us to
- 3:33break up the fallow ground and be fruitful.
- 3:37Help us to produce a crop, God, a hundredfold.
- 3:42Lord, I pray that we'll not store up treasures for ourselves
- 3:46here. But Lord, we'll send them ahead.
- 3:49Where moth and rust cannot destroy, where the thief cannot
- 3:53break in. God, I pray that you'll help us,
- 3:57Lord, to walk in our bridal identity, to fill our lamps,
- 4:01God, and trim our Wicks, Lord, and wait expectantly upon you.
- 4:06Help us be found, Lord, ready watching.
- 4:11And it's in Jesus Christ, holy, precious and powerful name that
- 4:16I pray. Amen.
- 4:19Well, let's start in verse one. And the Lord called unto Moses
- 4:25and spoke unto him out of the Tabernacle of the congregation,
- 4:29saying, what's he going to say? Well, let's go to verse 2 to
- 4:32find out. Speak unto the children of
- 4:35Israel and say unto them, if any man, if you bring an offering
- 4:40unto the Lord, you shall bring your offering of the cattle,
- 4:43even of the herd and of the flock.
- 4:46So here we're going to get to see a little bit of this
- 4:48Levitical law. And all of this was already in
- 4:51place before Moses ever pinned it down.
- 4:54Don't think that it just started right here in this chapter at
- 4:58this time. You can.
- 4:59You can see it all the way back with Cain and Abel.
- 5:02You can see it all the way back when Noah stepped off the boat.
- 5:06You see that this sacrifice has always been tied to getting
- 5:11closer and being at one with God Almighty.
- 5:16And you can see even today He asks us to have a sacrifice
- 5:21reigns, and the sacrifice is our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 5:25It was all pointing towards Him. And now we rest in the finished
- 5:29work of the final sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 5:34But God still today desires our best, our first fruits.
- 5:40God still desires the first part of your day.
- 5:43He still desires the first of your increase.
- 5:46He still desires for you to give Him your best.
- 5:50Not your sloppy seconds friends, not your leftovers friends, but
- 5:54your very first, the very best of your life.
- 5:58There is nothing better in this life than to serve God when you
- 6:01were young. Three, if his offering be a
- 6:07burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a mail without
- 6:11blemish, He shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the
- 6:16door of the Tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord.
- 6:19So what you need to understand here is this was primarily for
- 6:23those of wealth, those who had means.
- 6:26They would come and they would bring their cattle, they would
- 6:30bring their bull, they would bring their bovine into the door
- 6:38of the Tabernacle, and there they the person bringing it was
- 6:43to slay it, and then the priest would deal with the rest of it.
- 6:48Four. And he shall put his hand upon
- 6:50the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him
- 6:54to make atonement for him. So what you need to understand
- 6:57here in verse 4, this million dollar word at atonement is just
- 7:03to be at one with God. And this was a representative.
- 7:08This was all a picture of what would happen on the cross.
- 7:15And it was for the owner of this bowl to bring it into the door
- 7:22of the tent and to lean upon it and to put all his weight upon
- 7:26it to signify that he's putting all of his sin upon this animal.
- 7:32And the animal would die in his stead.
- 7:34And they're acknowledging that they deserve death.
- 7:37Friends, none of us deserve heaven.
- 7:40Not a single one of us deserve heaven.
- 7:43We deserve hell. And aren't you thankful that we
- 7:46do not worship a fair God, but we worship a just God?
- 7:53And he paid the penalty. He sent His only begotten so
- 7:57that you and I can make it there with him.
- 7:59We could never make it there on our own.
- 8:01If anybody ever tries to keep all of the law, and if they
- 8:06break one part of it, they are guilty of the entire law.
- 8:10And that is what you need to understand is there is none who
- 8:14are righteous. No, there is not one who could
- 8:17ever live up to the standard that God set to make it there
- 8:21with Him. There was only one in His name
- 8:23is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And there's no grave that you
- 8:27can go to to go and pay homage to Him.
- 8:30He's alive forever more seated at the right hand of God.
- 8:34And that's who we attach ourselves to.
- 8:36And that's the only way that we will ever make it there with God
- 8:40in the end. I pray that you are not just
- 8:43dunked in water, but that you've been washed in the blood from
- 8:47the top of your head to the soles of your feet, your palms
- 8:50in your back, your face, friends, every last bit of you
- 8:55completely covered in the blood of Jesus Christ.
- 8:58And when you stand before an Almighty God, one day he's going
- 9:02to say, well done, good and faithful servant, come into the
- 9:06that I have prepared for you. Jesus told us, he says, I go to
- 9:09prepare a place for you in my Father's house.
- 9:12There are many mansions and he is there now and he is preparing
- 9:16that for us now. And one day we will see New
- 9:18Jerusalem coming down from heaven and God will be there
- 9:22with us forevermore. And there's no need for light
- 9:25friends, because God is there and the Christ is there.
- 9:28There's no need for a temple there because Jesus Christ is
- 9:32tabernacling with us forevermore.
- 9:35I pray that you are excited about that.
- 9:38I pray that you're not mixed up and turned around on your
- 9:41theology. I pray that you don't think that
- 9:43we're just trying to get there just to escape hell.
- 9:48I pray that you're excited about forever worshipping the Lamb who
- 9:53is worthy, worthy, worthy to be praised.
- 9:58Five. And he shall kill the bull
- 10:00before the Lord. And the priest, Aaron's sons
- 10:03shall bring the blood and sprinkle the blood round and
- 10:06about the altar that is by the door of the Tabernacle of the
- 10:09congregation. So here you can see that the
- 10:12owner of the bull was the one to kill it.
- 10:15But then you see that Aaron and his sons, the high priest and
- 10:18the ministers are the ones who are going to splay it, and
- 10:22they're going to take the blood and they're going to put it on
- 10:24the altar. And that is what has happened at
- 10:27Calvary. Jesus is Christ is the all
- 10:30sufficient sacrifice. And all of this that we're going
- 10:33to be reading in the Levitical law is all pointing towards that
- 10:37day whenever Jesus willingly went to the cross. 6 And he
- 10:43shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into pieces. 7 And
- 10:47the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar,
- 10:51and lay the wood and order upon the fire.
- 10:54So this was not some haphazard way.
- 10:56This was prescribed and ascribed by God Almighty.
- 11:00And there's order, friends, and God doesn't want us just to come
- 11:04and offer strange fire and to Him.
- 11:07He wants us to do it in the way that He has ascribed to us.
- 11:12There is an order to following after the Lord God Almighty.
- 11:17There is no private interpretation of Scripture.
- 11:20We must come in the way that God told us that we must, and it is
- 11:25through our Lord Jesus Christ. There's no other way unto the
- 11:28Father. He is the Way, the truth, and
- 11:31the Life, and no one comes unto the Father except through our
- 11:35Lord Jesus Christ. 8 And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay
- 11:40the parts, the head, the fat, in order upon the wood, that is,
- 11:44upon the fire, which is upon the altar.
- 11:47So you can see that this fat dripped down, and it would cause
- 11:51the fire to grow larger, and then it would burn up and
- 11:55consume this offering. Nine But the innards in the legs
- 11:59shall be washed in water, and the priest shall burn all on the
- 12:03altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire.
- 12:07A sweet savour unto the Lord. So we know that the prayers of
- 12:11the Saints are what is the pleasing aroma unto God.
- 12:16And you can see here that all of this is pointing towards the
- 12:20reality of what is happening in heaven.
- 12:23Tin. And if His offering be of the
- 12:27flocks, namely of the sheep or of the goats for a burnt
- 12:30sacrifice, he shall bring it a mail without blemish.
- 12:34So God desires the best. And if you couldn't afford a
- 12:37bull, he would take a lamb or a goat.
- 12:40And I'll be thankful that Jesus Christ fulfills both.
- 12:44Jesus Christ is the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world,
- 12:48and He is the scapegoat that was offered outside of the camp. 11
- 12:54And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before
- 12:58the Lord and the priests. Aaron's Son shall sprinkle the
- 13:01blood round and about the altar. So here you can see this
- 13:06pointing towards the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus, as the blood
- 13:10comes down and it cleanses the earth. 12 And he shall cut it
- 13:15into his pieces of his head and his fat, and the priest shall
- 13:18lay them in order on the wood, that is on the fire which is
- 13:22upon the altar. So here, this altar, this was
- 13:25the killing place, friends. We have a different idea of what
- 13:29an altar is. It's a high place that someone
- 13:33speaks from, and we have an altar call to come down, but
- 13:37never get it mixed up that this was tied to a sacrifice.
- 13:45This was tied to the killing of something, and we must kill all
- 13:51of our old, sinful, lustful ways.
- 13:54We must take it. We must lay it on the altar and
- 13:57remain on the altar, not slide off the altar, friends.
- 14:01We lay ourselves willingly upon the altar as a living sacrifice,
- 14:06Friends. 13 And he shall wash the innards and the legs with
- 14:10water, and the priest shall bring it all and burn it upon
- 14:13the altar. It is a burnt sacrifice, an
- 14:16offering made by fire of a sweet savour unto the Lord.
- 14:19So the entire animal is consumed.
- 14:23There is no pieces that they take and eat and commune with
- 14:26God. This is sacrificing something
- 14:29that was very valuable, and God asked us to do the same today.
- 14:3614 And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the Lord be
- 14:40a fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtle doves or
- 14:45young pigeons. So here you can see these
- 14:48delicate birds being acceptable unto God.
- 14:53If you could not afford the bull, the goat, or the lamb,
- 14:58then he would accept your turtle doves or your pigeon.
- 15:03And we see these ascribed notions all the way in the
- 15:10temple, that Jesus Christ went and flipped over the tables and
- 15:14drove out the money changers, because they had made God's
- 15:18house into a den of thieves instead of a place of prayer.
- 15:22And here you can see how they took all of these things that
- 15:26Moses had told us that God would want, and they took them, and
- 15:31they perverted them, and they subjected them, and they made
- 15:34them into a merchandise. And it is deplorable and
- 15:38disgusting in our life when we use the things of religion for
- 15:42selfish and greedy gain. 15 And the priest shall bring it unto
- 15:50the altar, and wring off his head, and burn it on the altar,
- 15:54and the blood of it shall be wrung out at the side of the
- 15:57altar. So they would pluck the head,
- 15:59and they would squeeze the bird, and they would cause the blood
- 16:02to run down this altar. 16 And they shall pluck away his crop
- 16:09with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east
- 16:13part by the place of the ashes. So this was the furthest part of
- 16:21the altar away from the holiest of holy places.
- 16:25The holy of holy places would be on the east part.
- 16:28We know that Christ comes through the east gate, and you
- 16:32can see here that this is on the West side.
- 16:34And he takes our sins and casts them as far as the east is from
- 16:38the West. And it's a total annihilation of
- 16:44this. It's just all the way to the
- 16:47ashes. We'll end on 17.
- 16:52And he shall cleave it with the wings of it, but shall not
- 16:55divide it asunder. But the priest shall burn it
- 16:59upon the altar, upon the wood, that is upon the fire.
- 17:02It is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire of a sweet
- 17:07savour unto the Lord. Can you see the whole scene
- 17:11friends, this is Jesus, Jesus. Jesus, this is all about our
- 17:15Lord Jesus Christ. Don't get it mixed up, don't get
- 17:18it twisted. Don't think that we somehow
- 17:21become super Saints by following after all of this.
- 17:25God put it all in place so that we would see our need for our
- 17:29Lord Jesus Christ, that we could never live up to the standards
- 17:33of God Almighty. He is holy and set apart is all
- 17:39good, and His ways are beyond comprehension.
- 17:44We can only understand what He reveals to us in the written
- 17:48word. I hope you've been blessed by
- 17:50the written word. I know I sure have.
- 17:53I'm praying for every single one of you.
- 17:55I love you. We'll see you back here
- 17:57tomorrow. God bless you.
