Obamacare Equals Expensive NO CARE, Why Democrats Hate Fetterman & Antifa at TPUSA Week In Review · The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson

• 0:01
Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Ted Cruz.
• 0:03
Speaker 2: Weekend Review, Ben Ferguson with you, and here are some
• 0:05
Speaker 2: of the big stories that you may have missed that
• 0:07
Speaker 2: we talked about this week. First up, Democrats, they're pretty
• 0:11
Speaker 2: upset over the government shutdown, but what they're really upset
• 0:14
Speaker 2: about is your subsidies. Billions and billions of dollars in
• 0:19
Speaker 2: payouts going to insurance companies that are getting rich. Obamacare
• 0:24
Speaker 2: is broken, known as the Affordable Care Act, it's anything but,
• 0:28
Speaker 2: and we'll explain it to you. Also, why are democrats
• 0:32
Speaker 2: so angry with John Fetterman for just doing the right
• 0:35
Speaker 2: thing and saying it's time to open the government. We'll
• 0:38
Speaker 2: explain that as well. And finally, more violence as Antifa
• 0:44
Speaker 2: attacks at a turning point USA gathering. It's the weekend
• 0:48
Speaker 2: Review and it starts right now.
• 0:51
Speaker 3: And the President he was in a good mood, but
• 0:53
Speaker 3: he was He was expressing his views emphatically as he
• 0:57
  Speaker 3: always does.
• 0:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, and he met by the way, I've ever done
• 1:00
Speaker 2: a phone call, Like if you've never gotten to do this,
• 1:02
Speaker 2: he does not ever hold back when you're talking about
• 1:05
  Speaker 2: the phone.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: I not a single phone call.
• 1:07
Speaker 2: You've had a lot more than I have, But when
• 1:09
Speaker 2: I've had phone calls with him, whether it was in
• 1:11
Speaker 2: sixteen to twenty or now forward, like, he does not
• 1:15
Speaker 2: hold back at all. When you're on the cell phone,
• 1:17
  Speaker 2: on speakerphone as.
• 1:18
Speaker 3: Well, he does not. So one of the things we
• 1:21
Speaker 3: asked of him Friday night, we said, listen, in this
• 1:23
Speaker 3: battle with the Democrats over Obamacare, Obamacare's failing. It's a
• 1:27
Speaker 3: bad program. And if you go back, go back to
• 1:29
Speaker 3: twenty thirteen. Twenty thirteen, when I did a filibuster against Obamacare,
• 1:34
Speaker 3: I said, at the time, if you remember, Barack Obama
• 1:37
Speaker 3: promised the American people, Obamacare would would cut the average
• 1:41
Speaker 3: families premiums by twenty five hundred a year.
• 1:44
Speaker 1: Yep, that was a lie.
• 1:45
Speaker 3: And in fact, they skyrocketed at the time five thousand
• 1:49
Speaker 3: a year. They've skyrocketed a lot more than that. Even
• 1:52
Speaker 3: the Washington Post has now admitted the editorial page the
• 1:55
Speaker 3: Affordable Care Act, which is the misleading name of Obamacare,
• 1:59
Speaker 3: did not make health care more affordable. It caused premiums
• 2:01
Speaker 3: to skyrocket. So when we had Trump on the phone,
• 2:05
Speaker 3: we said, look, it would really help if you made
• 2:08
Speaker 3: the case that what Democrats are fighting for is these
• 2:11
Speaker 3: massive multi billion dollar corporate welfare payoffs to the health
• 2:15
Speaker 3: insurance companies instead of empowering consumers. And look, we want
• 2:21
Speaker 3: a lower prices. And so we said, in particular, it
• 2:24
Speaker 3: would really help if you would send a truth and
• 2:28
Speaker 3: Trump said, great, come up with something. And so I
• 2:31
Speaker 3: will tell you what the President sent. I had a
• 2:34
Speaker 3: lot of input in this, and here's what he put out.
• 2:38
Speaker 3: President Trump said, Democrats claim to be working for quote
• 2:41
Speaker 3: the little guy and driving down your health insurance. But
• 2:46
Speaker 3: the and the rest of this is in all caps,
• 2:48
Speaker 3: Obamacare scam goes straight to their best friends in the
• 2:52
Speaker 3: insurance industry. They are making a killing while health coverage
• 2:57
Speaker 3: only gets worse. If Democrats get their way again, they're
• 3:03
Speaker 3: in for another huge payday at the expense of the
• 3:07
Speaker 3: American people. No deal in all caps. Republicans should give
• 3:12
Speaker 3: money directly to your personal health savings accounts all in
• 3:18
Speaker 3: caps that I expanded in our great, big, beautiful bill.
• 3:22
Speaker 3: Thank you for your attention to this matter. Now, this
• 3:24
Speaker 3: is really important because if you want a really strong,
• 3:28
Speaker 3: principled conservative reform to health insurance, expanding health savings accounts
• 3:35
Speaker 3: so that you give you the consumer, you the patient,
• 3:38
Speaker 3: more control and instead of sending money to the insurance companies,
• 3:42
Speaker 3: send it straight to people's health savings accounts, so you
• 3:45
Speaker 3: can spend it on premiums, you can spend it on deductibles,
• 3:48
Speaker 3: you can spend it on healthcare that expands competition and
• 3:51
Speaker 3: empowers patients at at lowers prices. The President leaning in
• 3:55
Speaker 3: with this tweet really helps in this political will have
• 4:00
Speaker 3: over the next six weeks because the outcome he's advocating
• 4:05
Speaker 3: for is something I've advocated for a long time, and
• 4:07
Speaker 3: and that was a direct result of that dinner on
• 4:11
Speaker 3: Friday night where we got him on the phone.
• 4:13
Speaker 2: You know, there's one interesting thing that's coming out of
• 4:15
Speaker 2: this first year of Trump being back in office. It
• 4:19
Speaker 2: is really empowering the American people, whether it is the
• 4:23
Speaker 2: accounts you's talked about, whether it's the Trump accounts that
• 4:26
Speaker 2: are going to be coming in this next year that
• 4:28
Speaker 2: you guys pass to give kids the opportunity to save
• 4:31
Speaker 2: money and to be able to grow accounts and to
• 4:34
Speaker 2: build wealth over their lifetime. Like, there is a lot
• 4:38
Speaker 2: of personal growth and personal excitement that it's Trump is
• 4:43
Speaker 2: get the government out of your life. You can do
• 4:45
Speaker 2: better without it. We want to help you do that,
• 4:48
Speaker 2: and then the Democrats like no, No, No, No, No, Mandani's
• 4:51
Speaker 2: and others usually have.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: No control of your life.
• 4:53
Speaker 2: We want to run the whole damn show from from
• 4:56
Speaker 2: from birth to death. Just trust the US government to
• 5:00
Speaker 2: be your daddy or your mommy or both. And that's
• 5:03
Speaker 2: exactly the difference between the Republicans and Democrats right now.
• 5:07
Speaker 3: Look at it's a fundamental divide. As you noted, we
• 5:10
Speaker 3: passed the Trump accounts. As you know well, I wrote
• 5:12
Speaker 3: that legislation. This has been a major theme that I've
• 5:17
Speaker 3: been fighting for since the first day I got elected
• 5:19
Speaker 3: to the Senate. And whether you're talking about hell savings accounts,
• 5:23
Speaker 3: whether you're talking about Trump accounts that are that are
• 5:26
Speaker 3: essentially four A one K savings accounts for kids, or
• 5:29
Speaker 3: whether you're talking about school choice and getting tax credits,
• 5:33
Speaker 3: the unifying theme of all of those is individual choice,
• 5:37
Speaker 3: empowering you the individual rather than government competition and giving
• 5:44
Speaker 3: you control. That is the fundamental difference between left and right.
• 5:49
Speaker 3: And President Trump has been a great partner in this,
• 5:51
Speaker 3: and I'll tell you as a part of his tweet,
• 5:53
Speaker 3: he sent out a chart, a chart which which which
• 5:56
Speaker 3: I had sent him, but I want you to see
• 5:59
Speaker 3: the chart. We're going to put it up on YouTube
• 6:02
Speaker 3: for anyone that's watching on YouTube, but it goes through
• 6:06
Speaker 3: the major healthcare companies their stock performance since Obamacare passed.
• 6:13
Speaker 3: I'm going to walk through them. Etna Obamacare March twenty
• 6:18
Speaker 3: ten is when it passed. Etna's stock stock price was
• 6:21
Speaker 3: thirty dollars and fifty cents. Today it's two hundred and
• 6:24
Speaker 3: twelve dollars, so it's increased five hundred and ninety five
• 6:27
Speaker 3: percent since Obamacare passed. Senteen Its stock has increased six
• 6:33
Speaker 3: hundred and four percent, Molina its stock has increased eight
• 6:37
Speaker 3: hundred and fifty nine percent, Humana its stock has increased
• 6:41
Speaker 3: four hundred and ninety percent, Anthem Elevance Health Its stock
• 6:46
Speaker 3: has increased four hundred and fourteen percent, Signa Its stock
• 6:51
Speaker 3: has increased eight eight hundred and twenty two percent, and
• 6:56
Speaker 3: United Health Group. When Obamacare passed, United Health stock was
• 7:01
Speaker 3: twenty five dollars and sixty six cents. Today November twenty
• 7:05
Speaker 3: twenty five, it is three hundred and twenty seven dollars
• 7:08
Speaker 3: and seventy four cents. That is at one thousand, one
• 7:11
Speaker 3: hundred and seventy seven percent increase. That's what Obamacare, did
• 7:15
Speaker 3: it massively increased the profits of the health insurance companies.
• 7:18
Speaker 3: By the way, those health insurance companies overwhelmingly give to Democrats.
• 7:22
Speaker 3: They give to Chuck Schumer, they give to Keem Jeffries
• 7:25
Speaker 3: and the Democrats because they recognize when Democrats are in power,
• 7:29
Speaker 3: their profits go through the roof and the American people's
• 7:32
Speaker 3: premium skyrocket. What are the Democrats say they wanted to
• 7:36
Speaker 3: do in this shutdown give fifty billion dollars to those
• 7:39
Speaker 3: same health insurance companies who profits have skyrocket. And it's
• 7:42
Speaker 3: why what the presidents said is so important. No, we're
• 7:45
Speaker 3: not going to give money to health insurance companies. Instead,
• 7:48
Speaker 3: we're going to expand health savings accounts so you, the
• 7:51
Speaker 3: individual has control over your own healthcare.
• 7:54
Speaker 2: Senator, I also want to get a little preview of
• 7:56
Speaker 2: something that you're working on.
• 7:58
Speaker 1: We're going to do a more.
• 7:59
Speaker 2: Expansive show on this, but it's important that people know
• 8:02
Speaker 2: that even while the government has been shut down, you
• 8:05
Speaker 2: have been working very hard on other things. One of
• 8:08
Speaker 2: those things is you have now introduced the quote Deporting
• 8:11
Speaker 2: Fraudster's Act of twenty twenty five, and it deals with
• 8:15
Speaker 2: snap and public benefits abuses that is costing the American
• 8:20
Speaker 2: people millions and millions of dollars. Give us a little
• 8:24
Speaker 2: preview of this so people know what's been going on.
• 8:27
Speaker 3: Look, this is a very simple bill. It is an
• 8:29
Speaker 3: astonishing fact that right now welfare fraud, fraudulently taking government
• 8:33
Speaker 3: assistance benefits is not a deportable offense under the immigration laws.
• 8:39
Speaker 3: This law will change that and make it a deportable offense.
• 8:41
Speaker 3: Let me give you some basic statistics. Forty eight percent
• 8:46
Speaker 3: of households headed by illegal immigrants received food related welfare
• 8:51
Speaker 3: benefits forty eight percent nearly half specifically SNAP. A CIS
• 8:55
Speaker 3: analysis found that thirty one percent of illegal alien household
• 9:00
Speaker 3: with children draw SNAP benefits. One in five households getting
• 9:06
Speaker 3: WICIC Women's Infants and Children or SNAP is headed by
• 9:10
Speaker 3: a non citizen, and ninety six percent of the children
• 9:14
Speaker 3: in those households are US but born, showing how illegal
• 9:17
Speaker 3: aliens exploit child based eligibility to access benefits indirectly. The
• 9:22
Speaker 3: US Department of Agriculture reports one point seven six million
• 9:28
Speaker 3: non citizens on SNAP in twenty twenty three. That is
• 9:34
Speaker 3: roughly three hundred and twelve million dollars in taxpayer funds.
• 9:38
Speaker 3: In twenty twelve, or not twenty twelve, rather twenty twenty two,
• 9:41
Speaker 3: it was one point five million recipients that cost two
• 9:45
Speaker 3: hundred and twenty two million. Fraud is rampant. For example,
• 9:49
Speaker 3: in twenty twenty four, one hundred and twenty six point
• 9:53
Speaker 3: eight million dollars was stolen from EBT cards. In Texas,
• 9:58
Speaker 3: three point seven million people, about a eleven percent of
• 10:00
Speaker 3: the state relies on SNAP. Every stolen or unlawfully claimed
• 10:05
Speaker 3: dollar robs a citizen family in genuine need. And according
• 10:10
Speaker 3: to the CBO, about two hundred thousand illegal aliens from
• 10:14
Speaker 3: the surge of alien asylum seekers from twenty twenty three
• 10:17
Speaker 3: to twenty twenty four already received SNAP, growing to eight
• 10:22
Speaker 3: hundred thousand by twenty thirty four, assuming no deportations. A
• 10:27
Speaker 3: ten year cost. You said this cost millions. Yeah, the
• 10:31
Speaker 3: ten year cost is fifteen billion dollars. And so this
• 10:35
Speaker 3: bill is to target that and say, if you're here illegally,
• 10:38
Speaker 3: you do not have any entitlement to public welfare, and
• 10:41
Speaker 3: if you access fraudulently access public welfare, that is yet
• 10:45
Speaker 3: another ground to deport you.
• 10:47
Speaker 1: Now, Chuck Schummer's a co sponsor this bill, right.
• 10:50
Speaker 3: No, and I feel confident that Schumer is not just
• 10:55
Speaker 3: to no, he's a hello, because today's Democrat Party, it
• 10:59
Speaker 3: is all for health insurance corporations, it is all for
• 11:02
Speaker 3: illegal immigrants, it is all for violent criminals, it is
• 11:06
Speaker 3: all for men and women's sports. It's all for everyone
• 11:10
Speaker 3: except the average American citizen trying to work hard and
• 11:13
Speaker 3: provide for his or her family. And that's exactly backwards.
• 11:17
Speaker 2: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
• 11:19
Speaker 2: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
• 11:22
Speaker 2: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two. To say, again,
• 11:27
Speaker 2: with a civil war, let's be clear. And that's part
• 11:29
Speaker 2: of what I got to ask you about is there
• 11:32
Speaker 2: are Democrats now that are basically like off with his
• 11:35
Speaker 2: head and leadership. They want him gone. They're publicly saying
• 11:38
Speaker 2: now you're saying, this is the end of him.
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: He has done.
• 11:40
Speaker 2: MSNBC said a multiple times. CNN commentators are the same thing,
• 11:44
  Speaker 2: like he's done.
• 11:44
Speaker 1: They got to get rid of him. His career is over.
• 11:47
Speaker 2: This goes back to the being held hostage by the Marxists,
• 11:50
Speaker 2: the socialist and the communists of the Democratic Party. Now
• 11:53
Speaker 2: they didn't police him. Now they're running the party and
• 11:55
Speaker 2: they're anarchists. And Chuck Schumer shut down the government for
• 11:59
Speaker 2: the longest period in history of this country, and that
• 12:03
Speaker 2: wasn't good enough for them.
• 12:05
Speaker 3: And he still voted no on reopening it. So he
• 12:07
Speaker 3: shut it down for the longust in history. He voted
• 12:09
Speaker 3: no consistently, and yet they're still off with his head.
• 12:13
Speaker 3: It really is the crazies are driving the Democrat Party.
• 12:17
Speaker 3: And look, if you don't believe me, maybe you will
• 12:21
Speaker 3: believe John Fetterman. I want you to listen to this exchange.
• 12:23
Speaker 3: Senator John Fetterman, Democrat from Pennsylvania, was on the View
• 12:29
Speaker 3: and Sonny, you know, one of the left wing hosts
• 12:33
Speaker 3: there comes after him and comes after him hard. Listen
• 12:36
Speaker 3: to her unhinged question and then listen to Fetterman's response.
• 12:41
  Speaker 4: Well.
• 12:41
Speaker 5: Senator Bernie Sanders said the vote was a horrific mistake.
• 12:45
Speaker 5: Governor Gavin Newsom called it pathetic and a surrender. Pole
• 12:49
Speaker 5: after poll found more Americans on both sides of the
• 12:52
Speaker 5: aisle blaming Republicans. Even Marjorie Taylor Green blamed the GOP.
• 12:57
Speaker 5: As you mentioned, Democrats had big wins last week, so
• 13:00
Speaker 5: had momentum. Why give in now? Why bring a butter
• 13:04
Speaker 5: knife to a gunfight. Are you willing to gamble that
• 13:07
Speaker 5: the GOLC will negotiate on healthcare is good faith once
• 13:11
Speaker 5: the government reopens, because if that gamble is wrong, half
• 13:15
Speaker 5: a million Pennsylvanians that you represent, their healthcare cost will
• 13:19
Speaker 5: skyrocket if you are wrong.
• 13:22
Speaker 1: And I believe you are wrong.
• 13:25
Speaker 6: Well, first of all, MTG is quite literally the last
• 13:29
Speaker 6: person in America that I'm going to take advice or
• 13:32
Speaker 6: to get their kinds of.
• 13:33
Speaker 7: My leadership and values from.
• 13:35
Speaker 6: And now if Democrats are celebrating crazy pants like that,
• 13:38
Speaker 6: then that's on them.
• 13:40
  Speaker 7: And now I don't need and I don't need a lecture.
• 13:42
  Speaker 6: I don't need a lecture from from whether it's Bernie
• 13:45
Speaker 6: or the governor in California, because they are representing very
• 13:49
Speaker 6: deep blue blue kinds of populations and a lot of
• 13:53
Speaker 6: those things, a lot of those things were part of
• 13:56
Speaker 6: the extreme. And I'll remember what really needs to win,
• 14:00
Speaker 6: to win the big win is involving my state and
• 14:04
Speaker 6: other states and those things. And why have we arrived
• 14:08
Speaker 6: here after the election a year ago. We want to forget,
• 14:11
Speaker 6: we got to forget some of the things that cost
• 14:13
Speaker 6: us that election are now for me it's like, That's
• 14:17
Speaker 6: why I'm trying to remind people that kinds of the
• 14:21
Speaker 6: extreme newism, we can't return to those kind of things
• 14:23
Speaker 6: and realize we need to find a way forward. And
• 14:26
Speaker 6: I would like to rather than cite MTG, I'm going
• 14:28
Speaker 6: to cite one of the new governor elects saying that
• 14:31
Speaker 6: my election is not a green light to continue this shutdown,
• 14:36
Speaker 6: because I promise you this isn't a political game. It
• 14:40
Speaker 6: is viewed by that by many of us, but the
• 14:42
Speaker 6: reality is forty two million Americans now not sure where
• 14:45
Speaker 6: their next meal is going to come from, and because
• 14:48
Speaker 6: we vote like that, vote like that or people that
• 14:51
Speaker 6: haven't been paid for five.
• 14:52
Speaker 7: Weeks now, and that kinds of chaos.
• 14:54
Speaker 6: Those workers borrow more than half a billion dollars, you know,
• 14:58
Speaker 6: from their credit union just.
• 14:59
Speaker 2: To be there, you with him talking about paying their bills,
• 15:03
Speaker 2: and I love that from Fetterman.
• 15:05
  Speaker 1: There.
• 15:06
Speaker 2: They also were very quiet because I didn't think I
• 15:09
Speaker 2: don't think they realized he was going to come back
• 15:11
Speaker 2: with facts that way and describe it. I jokingly said
• 15:15
Speaker 2: to you before the show started, when's John Fetterman going
• 15:17
Speaker 2: to join the Republican Party? Because he's been speaking an
• 15:20
Speaker 2: awful lot of truth about the reality this shutdown.
• 15:23
Speaker 3: Well, look, I like John Fetterman, and I will tell
• 15:27
Speaker 3: you Republicans actually treated much more nicely than the Democrats do.
• 15:30
Speaker 3: The Democrats are mean to him, they're vicious to him.
• 15:33
Speaker 3: They that they really have a deep antipathy to him.
• 15:38
Speaker 3: And the amazing thing he votes the overwhelming majority of
• 15:43
Speaker 3: the time with the Democrats. You know, he's on the
• 15:45
Speaker 3: Commerce Committee with me. On virtually every vote he votes
• 15:49
Speaker 3: party line with the Democrats. On most votes on the floor,
• 15:52
Speaker 3: he votes party line with the Democrats. He has a
• 15:54
Speaker 3: few defections. So he did vote to open the government,
• 15:58
Speaker 3: and that's viewed is this great heresy because he didn't
• 16:02
Speaker 3: want to have a force a government shut down and
• 16:04
Speaker 3: hurt millions of Americans and continue the longest government shut
• 16:08
Speaker 3: down in history. And the main area that he's been
• 16:11
Speaker 3: willing to dissent from virtually every other congressional Democrat is
• 16:16
Speaker 3: in support of Israel. And we've talked about before that
• 16:19
Speaker 3: there is a real and cognizable pro Hamas caucus in
• 16:24
Speaker 3: the Democrat Party. It rose up about ten years ago.
• 16:28
Speaker 3: The Democrats did nothing. They look the other way, and
• 16:30
Speaker 3: it's now taken over their party, and Fetterman is a
• 16:34
Speaker 3: massive outlier because he is genuinely pro Israel. He is
• 16:38
Speaker 3: vocally pro Israel, and the radicals in the Democrat Party
• 16:42
Speaker 3: hate him for that. And again, if you don't believe me,
• 16:47
Speaker 3: listen to what John Fetterman said on exactly this topic.
• 16:50
Speaker 4: You are not Jewish at least as far as I know.
• 16:54
Speaker 4: Feel free to come feel fear to come out here
• 16:56
Speaker 4: to me right now. But you have been one of
• 16:58
Speaker 4: the most outspoken in it's beyond Washington, it's beyond politicians.
• 17:03
Speaker 4: You have been one of the most outspoken people in
• 17:05
Speaker 4: American life on the issue of anti Semitism. Why is
• 17:10
Speaker 4: this issue so important to you?
• 17:14
Speaker 8: Ironically I did that twenty three and me I'm ninety
• 17:17
Speaker 8: seven percent German and three percent Neanderthal, and it's like,
• 17:22
Speaker 8: maybe it's ironic that that a big German guy from
• 17:26
Speaker 8: Pennsylvania has been very absolutely devoted to Israel and to
• 17:31
Speaker 8: experience the kind of anti Semitism and in my life,
• 17:34
Speaker 8: I mean, you know what, you know, the Tree of Life,
• 17:36
  Speaker 8: I mean, that's that's where you're from.
• 17:37
  Speaker 7: Too.
• 17:38
Speaker 8: Absolutely appalling, and my heart breaks for what the Jewish
• 17:42
Speaker 8: community's suffered, especially after ten to seven I've had the
• 17:47
Speaker 8: honor of meeting, you know, members of the hostages, former
• 17:51
Speaker 8: people that were kept underground for five hundred days. Five
• 17:54
Speaker 8: hundred days. I mean, those are heroes. I've met with
• 17:57
Speaker 8: widows their husbands were lost in the Gaza War, and
• 18:01
Speaker 8: they have eight children, raising eight children by their own.
• 18:05
Speaker 8: That's a hero for all of it. So for me,
• 18:09
Speaker 8: it's heartbreaking, and that's been what's so difficult for me
• 18:13
Speaker 8: is like being devotion to Israel becoming increasingly incompatible with
• 18:17
Speaker 8: being a proud Democrat now too, and that's put me
• 18:20
Speaker 8: at odds. And the things that put me at odds
• 18:24
Speaker 8: have all converged at the same time, you know, the
• 18:26
Speaker 8: Gaza War, the peace deal, and then we moved right
• 18:29
Speaker 8: into a shutdown, you know, like now Democrats might not
• 18:32
Speaker 8: be allowed to hold these views.
• 18:35
Speaker 7: And I'm not changing my party, and.
• 18:37
Speaker 8: You know, run the numbers, run the numbers, you know,
• 18:40
Speaker 8: you would find that I'm a Democrat.
• 18:44
Speaker 1: You know, he is a Democrat.
• 18:45
Speaker 2: But you've walked past his Senate office countless times. I've
• 18:50
Speaker 2: walked past it, probably dozens of times when I'm up
• 18:53
Speaker 2: in DC, and he had all the hostage pictures up
• 18:56
Speaker 2: in his front office.
• 18:58
Speaker 1: Which I thought was incredible.
• 19:00
Speaker 3: Look, he has been genuinely courageous and sincerely courageous on Israel,
• 19:06
Speaker 3: and it's earned the absolute ire, hatred, animosity venom of
• 19:14
Speaker 3: the radical left in the Democrat Party. I mean, you
• 19:16
Speaker 3: heard what he just said there, that that being pro
• 19:19
Speaker 3: Israel is becoming incompatible with being a proud Democrat. I mean,
• 19:25
  Speaker 3: that's a that's a tragic statement. I wish that statement
• 19:29
Speaker 3: were not true, but it is the biggest reason why
• 19:33
Speaker 3: their radicals hate him and much of you know, when
• 19:38
Speaker 3: he was first elected and he came into office, he
• 19:41
Speaker 3: had had a stroke during the campaign and the stroke
• 19:44
Speaker 3: was very debilitating. When when John showed up, the stroke
• 19:48
Speaker 3: really limited Like when I first met him, what the
• 19:52
Speaker 3: stroke did is it limited his ability to process auditory input.
• 19:57
Speaker 3: So you would talk to him and his brain was
• 20:01
Speaker 3: not able to process the words he was hearing, and
• 20:05
Speaker 3: so he would carry with him an iPad that had
• 20:08
Speaker 3: a translator because it just this is one of the
• 20:10
Speaker 3: consequences that can be from a stroke, is your ability
• 20:13
Speaker 3: to process words that you hear. Your brain just can't
• 20:17
Speaker 3: put them together. So you would talk and he would
• 20:19
Speaker 3: read it. But when he first got there, you would
• 20:22
Speaker 3: talk to him, and he would literally he was not
• 20:24
Speaker 3: able to understand what you were saying. And I mean
• 20:26
Speaker 3: it hurt your heart. I mean, this is a is
• 20:28
Speaker 3: a very bright man. The man's a Harvard graduate, but
• 20:31
Speaker 3: he had a medical issue that he had real consequences.
• 20:35
Speaker 3: Early on, the Democrats all circled around him and said,
• 20:40
Speaker 3: you know, he's perfectly capable. There are no issues whatsoever.
• 20:44
Speaker 3: Because they assumed he would be a left wing Democrat,
• 20:46
Speaker 3: that's what they expected of him. That was not a
• 20:48
Speaker 3: crazy expectation going in. And then when he started standing up,
• 20:54
Speaker 3: particularly on Israel, standing up and defying the Prohamas caucus,
• 20:59
Speaker 3: you started seeing the Democrats leaking and planning stories and
• 21:03
Speaker 3: really attacking his mental capability. And the irony is, look
• 21:07
Speaker 3: you heard in those exchanges. He's now able to have
• 21:10
Speaker 3: a conversation. He still is a little halting in his communication.
• 21:15
Speaker 3: I think that's some of the aftermath of the stroke.
• 21:17
Speaker 3: But the difference is night and day. You can now
• 21:19
Speaker 3: have a conversation and he can hear you in a
• 21:22
Speaker 3: way that when he showed up in the Senate he
• 21:24
Speaker 3: was not able to. And yet Democrats are running to
• 21:28
Speaker 3: reporters to plant negative stories attacking him. Many of his
• 21:34
Speaker 3: colleagues want to drive him out of the party, and
• 21:37
Speaker 3: at least on the Republican side, I like John and
• 21:41
Speaker 3: I think consistently all the Republicans are just trying to
• 21:43
Speaker 3: be nice to him. By the way, they did the
• 21:45
Speaker 3: same thing to Joe Manchin. They did the same thing
• 21:47
Speaker 3: to Kirsten Cinemon. They succeeded in driving both of them
• 21:50
Speaker 3: out of the party because they want no dissent. You
• 21:53
Speaker 3: must obey and follow orders or they'll do everything they
• 21:58
Speaker 3: can to drive you out. To be honest, both Cinema
• 22:01
Speaker 3: and mentioned I think Republicans were much nicer to than
• 22:04
Speaker 3: Democrats were, and the consequence was they were both driven
• 22:08
Speaker 3: out of the party.
• 22:09
  Speaker 1: As before.
• 22:10
Speaker 2: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation
• 22:12
Speaker 2: on this topic, you can go back and down the
• 22:14
Speaker 2: podcasts from early this week to hear the entire thing.
• 22:18
Speaker 2: I want to get back to the big story number
• 22:20
Speaker 2: three of the week you may have missed, all right,
• 22:23
Speaker 2: I want to end the show with talking about something
• 22:25
Speaker 2: else that is really made me sad this week. It's
• 22:28
Speaker 2: also i think, really telling you where we are as
• 22:32
Speaker 2: a country with the radical left. We have seen violent
• 22:35
Speaker 2: protesters at a Turning Point US USA event at UC Berkeley.
• 22:42
Speaker 2: I wish it wasn't what we witnessed, but it was
• 22:45
Speaker 2: radical leftists. I want to know who's funding them, Senator,
• 22:49
Speaker 2: I want to know who's behind this. But it is
• 22:52
Speaker 2: shocking to see this level of rhetoric and attacks on
• 22:58
Speaker 2: conservatives who are just going to have a conversation. And
• 23:01
Speaker 2: it's very eeriely close to what we witnessed with the
• 23:04
Speaker 2: assassination of Charlie Kirk.
• 23:06
  Speaker 7: Yeah.
• 23:06
Speaker 3: Look, the pattern of left wing violence continues, and it
• 23:09
Speaker 3: continues across the country, and it continues with with the
• 23:13
Speaker 3: acquiescence and support of of many on the far left.
• 23:17
Speaker 3: Far too many on the far left.
• 23:19
  Speaker 7: Uh.
• 23:19
Speaker 3: This week, Turning Point USA had a rally at UC Berkeley. Now,
• 23:25
Speaker 3: the speakers at the rally were doctor Frank Turik, who's
• 23:29
Speaker 3: a Christian pastor, and Rob Schneider, who's a comedian and actor.
• 23:34
Speaker 3: So it's it's not like either of these speakers were
• 23:36
Speaker 3: particularly controversial in any normal or sane place. But but
• 23:44
Speaker 3: UC Berkeley is not necessarily a normal or sane place,
• 23:48
Speaker 3: and and Antifa targeted them, targeted the people coming into
• 23:52
Speaker 3: the rally coming in to see to to see listen
• 23:56
Speaker 3: to the speakers and they were violent. Let me read
• 24:01
Speaker 3: how Fox covered it. A bloody fight broke out near
• 24:04
Speaker 3: the University of California, Berkeley on Monday afternoon ahead of
• 24:07
Speaker 3: a Turning Point USA event on campus. The event, which
• 24:10
Speaker 3: featured doctor Frank Turk and Rob Schneider, marked the end
• 24:13
Speaker 3: of the This Is Turning Point tour. It took place
• 24:16
Speaker 3: just two months after Turning Point USA's founder Charlie Kirk
• 24:20
Speaker 3: was assassinated at a campus event in Utah on September tenth.
• 24:24
Speaker 3: The confrontation erupted around four thirty pm Pacific Standard time.
• 24:28
Speaker 3: During the brawl, two men were seen fighting each other,
• 24:32
Speaker 3: one of whom had blood gushing from his face and
• 24:36
Speaker 3: you can watch the video. Video taken by Fox News
• 24:39
Speaker 3: Digital also shows a crowd of agitators gathered around the fight.
• 24:46
Speaker 3: These were left wing antifa activists. They were chanting obscene
• 24:56
Speaker 3: chants that they were celebrating that Charlie Kirk had been
• 25:00
Speaker 3: They were chanting how happy they are about that. Most
• 25:04
Speaker 3: of them had masks and it. You can watch the
• 25:11
Speaker 3: video online of one of the people coming to the
• 25:14
Speaker 3: Turning Point event who they beat the hell out of
• 25:18
Speaker 3: him and his face is bleeding profusely, and they engaged
• 25:22
Speaker 3: in violence. And I'll tell you what is frustrating is
• 25:27
Speaker 3: where was the administration of Berkeley? Where was the police?
• 25:31
Speaker 3: Why are they allowing violent protesters? And look, these are
• 25:35
Speaker 3: the same administrators. This is the same faculty that allowed
• 25:38
Speaker 3: their campuses to be taken over for weeks and months
• 25:41
Speaker 3: on end by radical anti Semitic protesters, by antifa communists
• 25:47
Speaker 3: who again engage in threats of violence. And in both instances,
• 25:51
Speaker 3: these are not organic. They're being paid for. There is
• 25:55
Speaker 3: I've been saying for a long time, follow the money.
• 25:58
Speaker 3: I've been urging the Department of Justice in the FBI
• 26:01
Speaker 3: to follow the money. I've introduced legislation, the Stop Funders
• 26:04
Speaker 3: Act to add rioting as a predicate act to RICO
• 26:07
Speaker 3: to let us go after the money that is behind
• 26:11
Speaker 3: these violent anarchists. And I'll tell you what's being reported now.
• 26:14
Speaker 3: This is another story. Fox News covered UC Berkeley's bloody
• 26:18
Speaker 3: protest of Turning Point USA, allegedly funded by far left nonprofit.
• 26:23
Speaker 3: Attorney General Pambondi opens anti terrorism investigation into campus clash
• 26:29
Speaker 3: outside Turning Point USA event. And here's what Fox reports.
• 26:33
Speaker 3: Last month, a band of demonstrators marched across West Temple
• 26:37
Speaker 3: Street in downtown Los Angeles in the national anti Trump
• 26:42
Speaker 3: No King's protest, carrying a banner that read, defeat Trump's
• 26:46
Speaker 3: fascist takeover, stop ice raids and deportations by any means necessary,
• 26:53
Speaker 3: and in one corner, four bold letters stood out B
• 26:59
Speaker 3: A N, an acronym for by any means necessary. The
• 27:05
Speaker 3: rest of the banner spelled out clues to the group's
• 27:07
Speaker 3: full name and smaller print quote Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action,
• 27:12
Speaker 3: integration and immigration rights and fight for equality by any
• 27:16
Speaker 3: means necessary. That organization one of two hundred and sixty
• 27:22
Speaker 3: six groups with combined annual revenues of two point nine
• 27:28
Speaker 3: billion dollars two point nine billion dollars identified by Fox
• 27:32
Speaker 3: News Digital leading the No King's protests, would soon reappear
• 27:38
Speaker 3: at this week's flashpoint on the campus of University of California, Berkeley.
• 27:43
Speaker 3: And so this group. A flyer circulated before the demonstration
• 27:47
Speaker 3: urged participants to quote end fascist turning points, youth oriented
• 27:52
Speaker 3: campaign of incitement to violence. Now ironically they're accusing turning
• 27:56
Speaker 3: point of incitement to violence, and they show up and
• 27:59
Speaker 3: violently assault the people who are going to turning point.
• 28:02
Speaker 3: This is it's it's classic Marxist technique of projecting and
• 28:06
Speaker 3: accusing your opponents of doing what you're doing. And and
• 28:10
Speaker 3: and this flier announced a rally outside of Zellerbach Hall
• 28:14
Speaker 3: an hour before the door's open for the event. Well,
• 28:18
Speaker 3: the good news, UH is and and and a QR
• 28:22
Speaker 3: page printed on the flyer leads to a page on
• 28:26
  Speaker 3: b A m N dot com, which is a domain
• 28:29
Speaker 3: of this group that was helping fund the No Kings rallies.
• 28:32
Speaker 3: And so there is an entire ecosystem with money flowing
• 28:37
Speaker 3: to promote violence. And thankfully, the Department of Justice under
• 28:41
Speaker 3: Pambondi has announced that they're doing an anti terrorism investigation
• 28:47
Speaker 3: to go after to follow the money. And I'll tell
• 28:50
Speaker 3: you also, UH, the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights
• 28:54
Speaker 3: UH is questioning is question why Berkeley allowed this to happen.
• 29:04
Speaker 3: In fact, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Arment Dylan
• 29:08
Speaker 3: formally demanded that you see Berkeley preserve all records regarding
• 29:13
Speaker 3: their response to the mob violence UH at at Berkeley's
• 29:18
Speaker 3: Turning Point USA event, all records good. And that's because
• 29:23
Speaker 3: I suspect they're going to find they're going to find emails,
• 29:27
Speaker 3: They're going to find administrators saying communicating back and forth,
• 29:31
Speaker 3: just like we did with the anti Semitic protesters, where
• 29:35
Speaker 3: it is clear that that that that the administrators do
• 29:38
Speaker 3: not want to protect the people at Turning Point USA,
• 29:41
Speaker 3: do not want the police to stop violence if it's
• 29:43
Speaker 3: directed against conservatives, and and there's a real moral decay
• 29:47
Speaker 3: at our universities. And I'm glad we have an Apartment
• 29:50
Speaker 3: of Justice that's willing to enforce the law and go
• 29:54
Speaker 3: after number one, the money behind the left wing violence,
• 29:58
Speaker 3: but number two, the admitt ministrators who are facilitating And
• 30:01
Speaker 3: I got to say, it is not dissimilar to what's
• 30:05
Speaker 3: happening in Nigeria we talked about a minute ago, where
• 30:07
Speaker 3: you have government officials who look the other way and
• 30:11
Speaker 3: refuse to enforce the law to protect Christians. In Berkeley's case,
• 30:15
Speaker 3: I suspect the evidence will indicate the school administrators look
• 30:18
Speaker 3: the other way and refuse to protect the students at
• 30:22
Speaker 3: Turning Point USA because they're rooting for the Antifa rioters
• 30:28
Speaker 3: who are physically assaulting those students.
• 30:30
Speaker 2: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Center,
