- 0:00Chapter 4 of Micah First a prayer.
- 0:04Dear God, please be with us as we read through this chapter and
- 0:09help us to have insight, receive knowledge and give us wisdom to
- 0:16apply the knowledge we receive. We ask for this in Jesus name,
- 0:20Amen. In the last days the mountain of
- 0:26the Lord's Temple will be established as the highest of
- 0:30the mountains. It will be exalted above the
- 0:33hills and peoples will stream to it.
- 0:36OK, I do believe as I read this that this is talking about the
- 0:42Millennium reign or the 1000 years that Christ will reign as
- 0:46king on earth and the mountain of the Lord's temple.
- 0:51Ezekiel talks about the third temple.
- 0:55This is also referenced in Revelation chapter 20 as well.
- 0:59So I believe there will and it says and peoples will stream to
- 1:03it because you could look at this as being figurative
- 1:06language and poetic language. However it says and peoples will
- 1:11stream to it. Well, how do people stream to
- 1:14it? You know, it's, it's, it's going
- 1:16to be a draw to people. Ezekiel's third temple is so
- 1:22exactly described. I mean there are chapter after
- 1:26chapter that describe exactly what's going to happen.
- 1:29I mean way too much detail for it to solely have a symbolic
- 1:35meaning. Of course, a literal element
- 1:40also has symbolic meaning. That's the way God does things.
- 1:45He there's, there's often a literal or a real life happening
- 1:51of something, but it also has symbolic meaning.
- 1:56And you can only tell that from hindsight.
- 1:59That's often how we see it. But anyway, this, this is again
- 2:03repeated by a prophet. Micah says this, it's it, it's
- 2:11gosh. Agreed with, I guess in
- 2:13Revelation and also in Ezekiel. So God always establishes two or
- 2:19three witnesses for the truth, and He does that through His
- 2:21word as well. So it says many nations will
- 2:25come up and say, come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
- 2:29to the temple of the God of Jacob.
- 2:33Now, here's something because I always wondered like, why is
- 2:36there going to be a temple? You know, it's because Jesus
- 2:38died on the cross and no sacrifices are needed.
- 2:41And God doesn't desire sacrifices.
- 2:44He would prefer mercy. So why would there even be a
- 2:46temple? And Micah seems to have this
- 2:50answer. It says he will teach us his
- 2:54ways so that we may walk in his paths.
- 2:59So this is not eternity because not everyone is perfected when
- 3:04this is happening, people still need to be learning.
- 3:07And it says he will teach us his ways so that we may walk in his
- 3:11paths. So I think there is this like
- 3:131000 year restoration period where people do believe and they
- 3:19have this this last opportunity to except Jesus.
- 3:28Even during this thousand year reign, there are some that will
- 3:31come against Jesus, surprisingly.
- 3:34I don't know why, but I guess just like there are today, there
- 3:37are some believers and then there are people who don't
- 3:39believe. But again, Jesus will be
- 3:41physically present here on earth and and then people will have an
- 3:47opportunity to, you know, come to faith or not come to faith.
- 3:51However, that opportunity is not really for everyone because a
- 3:58majority of people who don't believe when Jesus initially
- 4:03returns will be subject to wrath.
- 4:06And if they are unrepentant, they will be destroyed.
- 4:11And when that happens, when someone is destroyed because of
- 4:16their unrepentance, there is no longer a oops, I made a mistake.
- 4:21I need to like get close to God now.
- 4:25It's, it's a solid thing. I mean, once we die, once we
- 4:29have a physical death, that's it.
- 4:31Whatever condition we were in when we die, meaning whatever
- 4:36condition our relationship is with God, that's going to seal
- 4:41eternity for us. There is.
- 4:44There's a false teaching about something called purgatory and
- 4:48other religions have this too, where there's a place where you
- 4:50can redo what you wanted to do or what you didn't do, but the
- 4:55Bible is very clear about it. And and that's something that I
- 5:00really don't like that some churches teach this because that
- 5:03gives people this relaxed, laid back, lukewarm approach to the
- 5:10relationship with God where it'll be OK if I don't get it
- 5:14right now I have a chance to redo.
- 5:16No, you don't. You, you need to get it right
- 5:19now. You need to get it right before
- 5:22your life ends. And everybody has an appointed
- 5:25time that their life will end according to God.
- 5:28God gives us different opportunities and God knows when
- 5:30that's going to be. And we just have that time
- 5:35period and it's our life is called but a vapor.
- 5:38We're here for a short while and then disappear and we move on.
- 5:43So those who accept Jesus and believe in him and live out
- 5:48their faith, then we will be eternal people in God's Kingdom.
- 5:55And some of us, I mean, if, if we are this last generation and,
- 5:59and we have the longevity to last it, you know, another 49
- 6:03years or so, then we could very well be alive when Jesus returns
- 6:09and not even experience a physical death, but immediately
- 6:13be changed to an immortal person or body or whatever, but be
- 6:19perfected because that's when that will happen.
- 6:21So this is really like really interesting times that we are
- 6:24living in. There's, there's so many
- 6:28indications that by the next, you know, within the next 49
- 6:33years that we are going to be in God's presence.
- 6:39I tend to think it's going to be a lot sooner than that, but I'm
- 6:43only going to know in hindsight. Like I'm thinking, you know,
- 6:46maybe even a in a year or something a year from now.
- 6:50And that's only because of a dream that I had that had a year
- 6:55in it that was clear, which that year was 2026.
- 6:59And I'm not sure about the significance of that or if that
- 7:03dream meant what I think it meant.
- 7:06And I'm only going to know in hindsight.
- 7:08But if I didn't say anything about it now, hindsight would be
- 7:11too late to encourage anyone to reconcile their relationship
- 7:16with God now. So that's the only reason why I
- 7:19share it. And I'm I don't mind if I'm
- 7:22wrong. It doesn't matter to me.
- 7:25Not that I, I didn't calculate this date or anything.
- 7:28I had it. I saw it in a dream and God has
- 7:32been started sending me dreams. I mean, because they, Jesus was
- 7:37in the name of Jesus especially, and truths from the Bible were
- 7:42in my dreams and happened very frequently.
- 7:45And they had, they started the night of my baptism.
- 7:48And to date, I've had about 75 dreams over since 2021.
- 7:54And they were, you know, if you want to call it religious and
- 7:58nature, which I never, ever had dreams like that prior to.
- 8:02So anyway, there's something going on.
- 8:04I don't know why I had those dreams and but they really made
- 8:10me focus on this and and I don't see anything any harm in this is
- 8:16that you know, and you know, the other thing is anything can
- 8:19happen to us. So we are not even guaranteed
- 8:22that we're going to be here in 2026 for our physical life.
- 8:26I mean, something unexpected could happen in our life could
- 8:28be gone. So I'm not saying put it off
- 8:31until 2026. I'm saying it's really getting
- 8:33close to that date and prepare yourself today.
- 8:37Prepare yourself right now, meaning make sure your
- 8:41relationship with God is solid and that you are essentially
- 8:46obedient to God, that you've you you're willing to let God start
- 8:51changing you in molding you into someone who is holy and who is
- 8:56holy because God said that's what we need to be holy to be in
- 9:00his Kingdom. I mean, he's the king.
- 9:01He's setting up the rules for his Kingdom.
- 9:04If we don't like the rules, we don't have to be in his Kingdom.
- 9:08It's not very pleasant what the other opportunity is.
- 9:12I won't even call it an opportunity, but the other
- 9:16choice, choice with the consequences.
- 9:19It's something that nobody, if they really contemplated it,
- 9:24would choose it. So, but it's up to each of us.
- 9:28We can, we can decide or we can believe or not believe.
- 9:31So anyway, I will go back to Scripture because I'm rambling
- 9:35now. So he will teach us His ways.
- 9:37So, you know, that's kind of important to God, that we are
- 9:40obedient to his ways. He's the king, He's setting the
- 9:43rules, the laws, the law will go out from Zion, the word of the
- 9:48Lord from Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the place he chose.
- 9:53He will judge between many people and will settle disputes
- 9:57for strong nations far and wide. This is about Jesus, about Jesus
- 10:03judging between peoples and nations, you know, So there are
- 10:07nations, I mean, that have survived.
- 10:10They're going to be different groups of people.
- 10:13They will beat their swords into plowshares and their Spears into
- 10:17pruning hooks. This is, you know, maybe it's
- 10:21literal, but I think it also indicates that there's going to
- 10:24be a time of peace. You're not going to need your
- 10:26sword. You're not going to need your
- 10:27spear, but you're going to have work to do.
- 10:30There's plowshares, there's, you know, pruning hooks.
- 10:32There's things that are going to be needed to be done, but we
- 10:36don't need it for war. There's other things, and that's
- 10:38what with Jesus, nation will not take up sword against nation,
- 10:44nor will they train for war anymore.
- 10:47So we won't really have a need for a military because Jesus
- 10:51will be present. We will not have peace, we will
- 10:55not have true peace until Jesus the Messiah, the Christ Jesus
- 11:01Christ returns. And when he rules, that's when
- 11:04this time will be. Everyone will sit under their
- 11:08own vine and under their own fig tree.
- 11:11Now that's symbolic. Trees are often symbolic of
- 11:15nations or groups of people and no one will make them afraid.
- 11:21So there's not going to be any fear of the neighbors like
- 11:25bombing or anything like that, for the Lord Almighty has
- 11:28spoken. So this is a promise from God
- 11:31that this is going to come someday.
- 11:34All the nations may walk in the name of their gods, but we will
- 11:39walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.
- 11:43So it says, you know, there's still free will, that God still
- 11:47gives free will. All the nations may walk in the
- 11:49name of their gods, but we will walk in the name of the Lord.
- 11:52So there's a choice, you know. Who are you going to follow the
- 11:55Lord's plan in that day, declares the Lord.
- 11:58I will gather the lame. I will assemble the Exiles, and
- 12:03those I have brought grief to are are those I have brought to
- 12:08grief. I will make the lame my remnant,
- 12:12those driven away a strong nation.
- 12:16The Lord will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and
- 12:21forever. So when is the Lord ruled from
- 12:24Mount Zion or Jerusalem forever. I mean he this is the
- 12:30Millennium. This is when Jesus is here on
- 12:33earth after the wrath has happened.
- 12:35And these are the people who've made it through and the people
- 12:40who it says in the Book of Revelation, the people who were
- 12:44beheaded prior to for their faith and their belief in Jesus,
- 12:48who gave up their life for Jesus, will actually be ruling
- 12:51with him here on earth in immortal bodies.
- 12:55But there's still going to be people who have the shorter
- 12:59lifespans, like they haven't been changed yet.
- 13:01They're still, they're survivors.
- 13:03I think is Zephaniah or Zechariah, one of the two says
- 13:07that there were survivors after the wrath of God.
- 13:10So there's going to be some people, I don't know how many
- 13:13that do survive. And I don't know if they survive
- 13:17because they then believe or if God is just merciful and he's
- 13:21still trying to offer this opportunity for others.
- 13:25Not really sure. The Bible's not really clear
- 13:27about that. OK, As for you, Watchtower of
- 13:31the Flock, stronghold of daughter Zion, the former
- 13:35dominion will be restored to you.
- 13:38Kingship will come to daughter Jerusalem.
- 13:42So again, God has chosen Jerusalem.
- 13:45Jerusalem will be where Jesus, you know, it's kind of like the
- 13:49the city where Jesus reigns from.
- 13:52That's where nations will be coming to.
- 13:56They will be coming. It says during the millennial
- 13:58reign that nations will be coming to celebrate the Festival
- 14:02of Tabernacles. So I think there must be
- 14:04something significant about that.
- 14:06You know, there are theories that Jesus will return at the
- 14:11Festival of Tabernacles, and it would make sense if that becomes
- 14:16a celebrated day going forth into the future because it's
- 14:20something like this great deliverance from slavery,
- 14:23spiritual slavery happens on that day.
- 14:27And eventually that could happen.
- 14:31We don't know for sure, but they're like I said, it's a
- 14:34theory and, and it kind of makes sense like everybody would go to
- 14:39Jerusalem to celebrate that date.
- 14:42I mean, it's it's looked at right now, the Jewish people
- 14:44celebrate Sukkot and it's representative of the time that
- 14:47they were given shelter by God as they were pulled out of
- 14:52slavery from Egypt. Again, it was a literal event
- 14:56that had symbolic significance and also a foreshadowing of the
- 15:00future. So why do you now cry aloud?
- 15:05Have you no king? Has your ruler perished?
- 15:09So you know, the people of Israel have always asked God for
- 15:14a king. They always, you know, they,
- 15:17they, they knew that God was their Lord.
- 15:20But then they saw all these other nations who had a king, a
- 15:23leader, and they were like, we want one too.
- 15:25And God warned them, no, you don't.
- 15:27But if you want them, you have your free will and I'll give it
- 15:30to you. But here's what's going to
- 15:31happen to you. And he told them all the things
- 15:34that would happen, but they said, Oh no, we want a king.
- 15:36And they got Saul was their first king.
- 15:38And then Saul, you know, didn't want to be a fully obedient to
- 15:42God. So he partially did what God
- 15:45wanted, but partially not. And any.
- 15:48And God ended up taking away the spirit from him and he was
- 15:51tormented by an evil spirit because Saul gave up his
- 15:56connection with God. And then that leaves U.S.
- 15:59Open to an evil spirit torment. So that's, you know, the
- 16:03outcome. I mean, it's just, there's so
- 16:05much to learn from the Bible. So anyway, the he's, you know,
- 16:09he's saying to them, you know, why do you cry now?
- 16:11No, have you no king? So he's prophesying because
- 16:14right now they do have kings. He's talking to northern Israel
- 16:18and I think southern Judah as well.
- 16:21He's a prophet and he's expressing this to the Israel,
- 16:25the whole group, which is northern, the northern tribe,
- 16:28the northern 10 tribes and the southern 2 tribes.
- 16:32And ultimately it applies to all of them, but they do have their
- 16:38kings. However, the first one, northern
- 16:41Israel, was conquered by Assyria.
- 16:44I think it's 722 BC is when they ended and there has not been a
- 16:50king since then. And then Judah lasted a little
- 16:53bit, little bit longer, but they also fell to Babylon.
- 16:59So both of them were conquered and do.
- 17:03There's no longer a king in Israel.
- 17:05The next king of Israel is going to be Jesus when he returns the
- 17:09Messiah. Writhe and agony, agony,
- 17:13daughter Zion, like a woman in labor.
- 17:17For now, you must leave the city to camp in the open field.
- 17:21So like a woman in labour. This is like tribulation time.
- 17:25These are like labour points. Or maybe, you know, it's a time
- 17:28of tribulation, a time of hardship, just like labour.
- 17:32And it gets harder and harder until there's like a final
- 17:36deliverance. Then he says you will go to
- 17:39Babylon. There you will be rescued.
- 17:41So that probably is being spoken to the tribe of Judah because
- 17:46they were conquered by Babylon. And it said there you will be
- 17:49rescued there. The Lord will redeem you out of
- 17:52the hand of your enemies. So we'll, we'll see that play
- 17:57out also when we get into some of the other books like the
- 18:01Daniel, when we read that book. OK, but but now many nations are
- 18:07gathered against you. They say let her be defiled, let
- 18:11our eyes gloat over Zion. But they do not know the
- 18:14thoughts of the Lord. They do not understand his plan,
- 18:19that he has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor.
- 18:24So this is interesting. The nations are gathered
- 18:27against. So the nations want Zion, they
- 18:30want Jerusalem, and that's kind of like what is happening now,
- 18:35if you think about it, because there's this chant from Israel's
- 18:39enemies that say from the river to the sea, and they basically
- 18:43are calling for the extermination of the Israelites.
- 18:45They want that land. They want Israel not to exist
- 18:48anymore so they can have that land.
- 18:50But that's not what God said. That's not what God wants and
- 18:56God will not let that happen. So again, these nations are just
- 19:01like surrounding for some reason.
- 19:02They want that. Probably because this is a
- 19:05spiritual influence over people. It says we wrestle not against
- 19:10flesh and blood, but against the spirits, spiritual darkness and
- 19:15powers and the heavenly realms or something to that degree.
- 19:20Like there is a supernatural, evil, spiritual force that
- 19:24affects people. And if you don't have the Holy
- 19:27Spirit, you're susceptible to that.
- 19:30And so anyway, these people are, are, are going to experience
- 19:37wrath. So they don't under these
- 19:39nations that are coming against Israel, they don't understand
- 19:42what's going on with the Lord. They don't know the Bible.
- 19:44They don't read the Bible, they don't study it.
- 19:46They have no idea. They don't read the Old
- 19:47Testament or the New Testament. And so they're completely
- 19:51blindsided by this or they don't believe it.
- 19:53They maybe have heard it and they're like, whatever, you
- 19:56know, that's been talked about for years, that's never going to
- 19:58happen. So they don't understand it.
- 20:00So they have No Fear. They think they're going to get
- 20:03Jerusalem. They're going for it.
- 20:05And they just don't know that God's going to not let it
- 20:09happen. That's when wrath comes.
- 20:11And they're, he's gathering in them.
- 20:12You know, it's their, he uses people's desires.
- 20:16You know, they get their free will.
- 20:18So their free will, they choose Jerusalem.
- 20:21They're like, we're going to get Jerusalem.
- 20:23We're going to get rid of the Israelites.
- 20:25And so they think they're going to do it, but little do they
- 20:29know that God's plan is true and he, his wrath is going to come
- 20:33against those people. He's just gathered them there so
- 20:36he could destroy them and let them not accomplish their plan.
- 20:42Rise and thresh daughter Zion for I will give you horns of
- 20:47iron, I will give you hooves of bronze and you will break to
- 20:52pieces many nations. So it's really interesting when
- 20:56you study the book of Daniel and what he's seen about this ruling
- 21:02entities and the rise of the beast and those things.
- 21:05And Jesus is actually the, the rock that breaks the nations,
- 21:10breaks the toes, the 10 toes of the the final Kingdom that rises
- 21:15up. And it's interesting here
- 21:18because it's rise and thresh daughter Zion for I will give
- 21:21you horns. That's power of iron.
- 21:24I will give you hooves, you know, something to trample on
- 21:28with bronze and you will break to pieces many nations.
- 21:32So sounds to me like God's going to empower Israel.
- 21:36Or maybe it's just through Jesus that happens, not really sure.
- 21:41You will devote their I'll gotten gain to the Lord, their
- 21:45wealth to the Lord of all the earth.
- 21:48So to me, this is sounds like mostly the end times, but it
- 21:55also has like a foreshadowing event where both the northern
- 22:00and the southern kingdoms were captured by enemies.
- 22:03But that's not the final say. And you know, just this reigning
- 22:07forever. That's never happened yet.
- 22:09So this is this is about stuff in our future lifetime to see.
- 22:13So I'm going to read what the study Bible says about this.
- 22:17What are the last days? This phrase sometimes sometimes
- 22:20refers to the future in general, rendered as in days to come,
- 22:25Genesis 49 one the course of human history in Daniel 2 verse
- 22:3128, or here as here, the time when God will restore Israel and
- 22:37establish his Kingdom on the earth.
- 22:39That's the Millennium reign. In the last days, will people
- 22:44have to visit Jerusalem to worship God?
- 22:47Micah was not was talking not about worship in the temple, but
- 22:51about the whole world submitting to God.
- 22:54During the Kingdom Age, God's decisions will defuse potential
- 22:58international conflicts and establish an era of peace.
- 23:02But nations will also come to Jerusalem during these days for
- 23:06religious celebrations and festivals.
- 23:10How will God govern the nation's?
- 23:12God will govern the nation's with justice and equity.
- 23:15In the display of His lordship over all nations.
- 23:18God will adjudicate various disputes between nations.
- 23:23The result of the Lords of God's lordship over the nation's will
- 23:27be peace. When will the nation's finally
- 23:31disarm themselves? This will happen during the
- 23:34Kingdom age, after God has destroyed His enemies and
- 23:38established His rule from Jerusalem.
- 23:41In an age of peace, weapons will become obsolete and nations will
- 23:46devote their energies to more productive endeavors.
- 23:49Whom will God gather together in that day?
- 23:52The image of bringing back lame, grieving exiles pictures the
- 23:58spiritual healing and reconciliation work to be done
- 24:01when God draws people to him during the Kingdom age.
- 24:05What did the watchtower and stronghold represent in Micah's
- 24:08day? A watchtower was a tower where
- 24:10guards would watch for danger or where a group of people would
- 24:14find protection from invaders. The watchtower of the flock
- 24:17probably refers to Jerusalem, the fortress for God's people.
- 24:22The stronghold of Daughter Zion may refer to the hill in
- 24:26Jerusalem where Davidde ancient fortified city, was located.

- 25:54miraculous deliverance of the city from the Assyrian towards 4
- 25:59shadows of a future time when God will deliver his people from

- 26:08This therefore is also a description of God's end time
- 26:12destruction of hostile nations also found in Zechariah chapter
- 26:1612 and chapter 14. How would Jerusalem be a city of
- 26:21OK that's next. So that concludes chapter 4 of
