- 0:00Speaker 1: It is time now for our last break of the day,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and here we are. This is it, And Junior, you
- 0:07Speaker 1: have a question for Steve before he closes out the show.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it is why I'm closing out the show. It's
- 0:15Speaker 2: because of Junior, because of these inquisitive questions that come
- 0:22Speaker 2: from this young man's.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Mind, growing, growing like everybody else. And I walked into
- 0:36Speaker 3: that one. I'm fired, No one, I don't even want
- 0:40Speaker 3: to ask.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I'm sorry about now. You grow up then and just
- 0:44Speaker 2: make it happen. Ain't no letting the question in the hair.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Go ask this big thum.
- 0:52Speaker 3: You know, we mess up a lot in life, and
- 0:54Speaker 3: I know we may beat ourselves down, we may not
- 0:57Speaker 3: feel the same about what we've done, and all these things.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I hear you talk about this talk about the positive
- 1:03Speaker 3: part about when you finally get it right. What is
- 1:05Speaker 3: that about?
- 1:06Speaker 2: Feel you know what you say. For you to even
- 1:09Speaker 2: ask the question of when you finally get it right,
- 1:13Speaker 2: you know what that means. That means you fail several times. See,
- 1:18Speaker 2: you don't finally get it right without the failure. See,
- 1:22Speaker 2: that's that's the part that's hard to get people to understand.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And I tell you something, man, I know a lot
- 1:29Speaker 2: of people who beat themselves up over mistakes that they made.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I've done it myself in the past. I used to
- 1:37Speaker 2: really sometimes, man, make a mistake and just wallowing it.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I mean, just sit there, man, in a misery. So crazy,
- 1:46Speaker 2: oh man, And and then and and and and I
- 1:48Speaker 2: and I tell some people about it, and they would
- 1:51Speaker 2: help me wallow in it, give me more reasons to go, Yeah, man,
- 1:57Speaker 2: that is really messed up. I can't believe you did that. Man,
- 2:04Speaker 2: you did what? Oh man, man hanging that dog. That's crazy.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I've done it to myself hundreds of times, and I
- 2:18Speaker 2: know a lot of people who did it. As I
- 2:20Speaker 2: got older and I started understanding through my relationship with
- 2:25Speaker 2: God exactly what could happen because of this relationship. And
- 2:32Speaker 2: the one thing that I picked up that was major
- 2:35Speaker 2: in this relationship was forgiveness. Forgiveness and sometimes, man, well
- 2:42Speaker 2: listen to me. God will forgive you. But sometimes you
- 2:46Speaker 2: got to forgive yourself. Sometimes you have to say, O, hey, God,
- 2:51Speaker 2: thank you for your forgiveness. Now I forgive me. See,
- 2:54Speaker 2: God forgives you. But if you're gonna keep wallowing in it,
- 2:57Speaker 2: it's not because God didn't forgive you. It is because
- 2:59Speaker 2: you won't forgive yourself, or you hang around people who
- 3:04Speaker 2: constantly remind you of what you did to hold you
- 3:06Speaker 2: in that position. That's a very manipulative friend. That's a
- 3:11Speaker 2: shaky person. Man. You don't need nobody like that in
- 3:14Speaker 2: your life, and you don't need to be that way
- 3:16Speaker 2: towards your own self in your life. You have got
- 3:21Speaker 2: to understand that all these mistakes you are making are
- 3:25Speaker 2: a very very valuable part of the equation. And if
- 3:29Speaker 2: you quit looking at these mistakes, these als you're taking,
- 3:33Speaker 2: if you quit looking at these ales as losses and
- 3:36Speaker 2: start looking at these als as lessons, you won't lose. Now. Look, man,
- 3:44Speaker 2: every l you take there's still a lesson. Look. Three
- 3:50Speaker 2: of us on this show have lost our mothers. But
- 3:53Speaker 2: in losing our mothers, look at the lessons that she
- 3:58Speaker 2: taught us. That we hear her voice all the time,
- 4:01Speaker 2: saying and stuff and reminding us of things that she
- 4:04Speaker 2: once told us. And we and we live our life
- 4:07Speaker 2: like that. And because we had great mothers, we are
- 4:10Speaker 2: blessed to have great memories, you know, and and and
- 4:14Speaker 2: and and we're able to smile sometimes about it and
- 4:17Speaker 2: share funny stories about it, you know, that's that's a
- 4:21Speaker 2: good that's a good thing. You know, So all of
- 4:25Speaker 2: your al's. If you quit looking at them as losses
- 4:27Speaker 2: and realize that a lot of these l's are lessons,
- 4:30Speaker 2: you could handle it better. But Junior, your original question was,
- 4:35Speaker 2: how do you feel when you finally get it right? Well,
- 4:39Speaker 2: in order to finally get it right, it simply means
- 4:42Speaker 2: you've gotten it wrong a bunch of times. Don't you
- 4:46Speaker 2: see that that's the process to finally getting it right.
- 4:51Speaker 2: That those are the steps to finally getting it right. Man,
- 4:56Speaker 2: It's okay to be that way. It's okay to fail.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I know you don't like it, man, Oh, I know
- 5:02Speaker 2: you don't like failure, but how can you not? You know,
- 5:07Speaker 2: failure is a wonderful teacher. Experience is a beautiful thing
- 5:12Speaker 2: to have, But you do realize that the cost of
- 5:17Speaker 2: experience it cost you your youth. You don't get to
- 5:22Speaker 2: be experienced until you get older. The last time you
- 5:26Speaker 2: start listening to some really wise ten year old huh
- 5:31Speaker 2: last time you and man, have you seen this ten
- 5:33Speaker 2: year old YouTube page? He brilliant? He may be. He
- 5:38Speaker 2: may be, but I can tell you right now he
- 5:40Speaker 2: don't know nothing about real life now, I don't know
- 5:43Speaker 2: what he'd done, read and memorized. But he don't know
- 5:46Speaker 2: nothing about making rent at ten. He don't know nothing
- 5:50Speaker 2: about providing for a family at ten. He don't know
- 5:54Speaker 2: nothing about getting fired. He don't know nothing about bad credit.
- 5:58Speaker 2: He don't know nothing about divorce. He don't know nothing
- 6:00Speaker 2: about having a child. So you can get this ten
- 6:03Speaker 2: year old to memorize all the speeches you want. There
- 6:06Speaker 2: sound nice and he brilliant, but he don't know nothing.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You get experienced. Experience is priceless. It's a shame you
- 6:14Speaker 2: have to pay for it with your youth. So when
- 6:17Speaker 2: you finally get it right, that just means you've overcome
- 6:20Speaker 2: all the wrongs, and congratulations, welcome to adulthood. And oh,
- 6:27Speaker 2: by the way, the first is coming, ladies and gentlemen.
- 6:31Speaker 2: That's why I totally remarksterday. Hope you enjoyed it. Y'all
- 6:35Speaker 2: have a great day today. Talk to God. He'd absolutely
