- 0:00Uh.
- 0:03Jasmine oolong, green
- 0:06and white. Long ago, these four
- 0:08teas were skilfully brewed at the Blissful Brew.
- 0:12Then everything changed when the shop's
- 0:14popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:17All Mr. Okeron, the shop's owner and tea
- 0:20master, could do was to recruit four teenage
- 0:23orphans to learn his trade and staff his
- 0:25shop. A year has passed since the orphans were
- 0:28hired, and although their skills have progressed, they
- 0:31still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:34But I believe that they have the potential to make the
- 0:37Blissful Brew the greatest tea shop in the
- 0:39world. Last time on Benders
- 0:42and Brews an Avatar legends podcast.
- 0:45I'm trying to get through an island
- 0:48as fast as I can.
- 0:50Do, uh, you even remember why we.
- 0:51Have to get to Whale? Yes, the treasure. Sure, it's treasure.
- 0:54Come on, everyone. Whale Tail Island, here we
- 0:57come.
- 0:58And he throws the scale at the ground with
- 1:00all the force he can muster. As
- 1:04the scale hits the ground,
- 1:06fragments start to break off and shatter
- 1:09in every direction. And now we know
- 1:12that both the scales were fake. And
- 1:15these two points at both the mayors are the perpetrators
- 1:18of the whole thing.
- 1:20Lei, would you mind taking
- 1:23these wonderful folks to Whaletail Island?
- 1:26Oh, yes, of course.
- 1:28Thank you very much.
- 1:29Stop that letter that Mr. O'Brien gave you.
- 1:31Yeah, I did. I might have cried a little when
- 1:34I read it.
- 1:35Can, uh, you read it again? I kind of forgot what it's like.
- 1:41And welcome back to another episode of Benders and
- 1:44Brews. We're back with episode five,
- 1:47everybody. Uh, just finished, and you'll hear this in
- 1:50the you heard this in the recap bit or whatever, but everybody
- 1:52just helped chin village slash
- 1:55Quinchao Village sort of helped them I don't
- 1:58know what you would call that. Yeah, we'll say you helped them
- 2:01solve the mystery of the missing scale.
- 2:03Pulled the bandaid off. Yeah.
- 2:05Oh, yes.
- 2:06That's a good way to put it.
- 2:07I like that.
- 2:08Uh, whatever the case, welcome, uh, back for another
- 2:11episode. Uh, let's do our little round of character
- 2:14interesting facts. Who would like to start?
- 2:18I guess me.
- 2:19Oh, awesome.
- 2:19All right, Michaela, who was here last time
- 2:22to clarify, um, just
- 2:25a little.
- 2:25Bit on the quiet side as she.
- 2:27Pieced together the puzzle in her head. What's the interesting
- 2:29fact about Mika?
- 2:31Um, she would watch
- 2:34the fish in the river mhm,
- 2:36and she would make up stories about them.
- 2:39Okay.
- 2:40That's her fact.
- 2:41Okay, were there any interesting stories?
- 2:43Oh, yeah, it's not a
- 2:46story unless there's tales of death
- 2:48and long lost love and all
- 2:51that jazz.
- 2:52Like this one's, the moon spirit. And this
- 2:55one.
- 2:59I think there were just two halves of the moon.
- 3:04Right, all right. Very cool. Very cool.
- 3:07Um, Cameron,
- 3:11you got an interesting fact about Bill.
- 3:13Yeah, I do, but I'm also debating because this
- 3:16one fact I've actually been wanting to say for,
- 3:19like, in character for a
- 3:22while.
- 3:23Do we all need to plug our ears?
- 3:25No, it's about his painting.
- 3:27It's, uh about his painting.
- 3:29Paints.
- 3:30Yeah. I think I revealed that way in the start of the he likes to.
- 3:33Do, like, landscape m I do landscape.
- 3:35Painting to relax me. Right. Yeah.
- 3:36Ah, the paintings age and you don't.
- 3:41I guess what I will say is, um, and I guess
- 3:43this is
- 3:46if it comes up in character, it comes
- 3:50a particular I never said where Bill paints.
- 3:53And that's important because he does not paint
- 3:56at, uh, the shop or anywhere near that.
- 3:59There is a spot, uh,
- 4:02I want to say woods. It's more like along
- 4:05the road. Uh, the same road that
- 4:08we actually took to go to that other city.
- 4:11Bill would go along that road and then there was an off
- 4:14side road he found off of it that went along a
- 4:17cliff edge. And along that cliff edge he found a
- 4:20tree that was, like, growing out of the cliff.
- 4:23And he would paint alongside that
- 4:26tree. And, uh, sometimes he
- 4:29would paint with the tree and the night painting. Sometimes he would
- 4:31paint other stuff. But something
- 4:34about that tree growing out of the side of the cliff
- 4:37gave Bill comfort.
- 4:38Okay. Very cool.
- 4:41Yeah.
- 4:41And it makes sense.
- 4:43It fits. Yeah, absolutely. All
- 4:46right.
- 4:46Uh, Dave, you got an interesting fact about
- 4:49Guo today.
- 4:50I do. So Guo
- 4:54has a tattoo of,
- 4:57um what? Something whoa.
- 5:00Somewhere on his body.
- 5:02Awkward.
- 5:03And it's for us to find out.
- 5:05Well, he's twelve.
- 5:07Yeah.
- 5:07So don't PG. Yeah.
- 5:11All right.
- 5:13That's all I'm reviewing.
- 5:15We'll see if that comes up at some
- 5:18point. Um, all right. And then last but not
- 5:21least, Connor.
- 5:22Well, I could say that Brock also has a
- 5:25tattoo because that was in his character design.
- 5:28It is in his character design.
- 5:30But, uh, I will say that Brock, uh, has
- 5:33recently gotten into some, uh, expired.
- 5:37Oh, okay.
- 5:38Yeah.
- 5:38So he had some expired tea before
- 5:41this journey.
- 5:45Uh, things are a brewing.
- 5:47Things are a brewing. If this was a game
- 5:50of Oregon Trail, uh, Brock has
- 5:53Dysentery,
- 5:57uh, speaking.
- 5:58Give him a thunderbolt.
- 6:01Speaking of Dysentery, I'm Skyler.
- 6:03And what I'm about to say doesn't really have anything to do with
- 6:06Dysentery. I, um, don't know.
- 6:10Less of an interesting fact, more of a story.
- 6:13I recently walked through a drive through
- 6:16and that was interesting. I did still get service. So
- 6:19anyone that tells you otherwise, i, uh, don't know,
- 6:22I might be trying.
- 6:24That was your fact in episode.
- 6:26Was it really? Yeah. Oh, man, now I have to have another
- 6:29one.
- 6:31Now I feel like I do have to fall back on the
- 6:34Dysentery bit.
- 6:37Speaking of Dysentery, I
- 6:40enjoyed Oregon Trail. I actually played
- 6:43the fifth edition. I think it was, uh,
- 6:45many times on my PC. It was great.
- 6:49How many times did you die from Dysentery?
- 6:52I don't feel like I did, uh, but they had like, cut
- 6:54scenes and it was really weird because they had a whole
- 6:57underlying story about this guy that was trying to get
- 7:00these two kids, uh, through
- 7:03the Oregon Trail or whatever. And
- 7:06no, not just trying to get.
- 7:07These
- 7:10after trying to get these two.
- 7:12Kids, it's like every
- 7:15seventy s eighty s PG kids
- 7:17movie. Some guys try to get those
- 7:20kids uh, no, there's a good game,
- 7:23but there's like the one part where the kid gets bit by
- 7:26a snake, like a rattlesnake, and then the guy has to suck out the
- 7:29poison. And so my whole life
- 7:31I was like, oh, okay, that's easy enough.
- 7:35Take that, snakes. You can't even do anything to us. And then
- 7:38recently I found out that, uh, apparently it's almost
- 7:41equally as dangerous to try to suck the poison out because
- 7:44not only is it not super effective,
- 7:47but also if you swallow the poison, then
- 7:50you are now screwed.
- 7:53Just don't swallow.
- 7:54Well, you got to hope that you don't.
- 7:58Uhoh.
- 8:04All right, welcome back. Uh, you guys are sealing
- 8:07down the waters towards White. Uh, or
- 8:10sorry, Whaletail Island dialogue happens.
- 8:13And then we come back to the part where Bill,
- 8:16uh, is supposed to read the letter.
- 8:18That's exactly where we stopped was right when I was, uh,
- 8:22Brock was like, why don't you read the letter?
- 8:25I challenge.
- 8:28To a read off who.
- 8:29Can'T read at this table.
- 8:32I know you're used to me playing the dumb barbarian who
- 8:35cannot read and that is typically my character. I'm
- 8:38the dumb, impulsive barbarian in this case. He's the
- 8:40barbarian. Zero
- 8:43remorse and he's done great at it.
- 8:45Readability as a person who plays
- 8:48barbarians my whole d d life. You're doing it
- 8:51phenomenal.
- 8:51I'm doing role justice.
- 8:53All right, bill, my boy, you're tired and
- 8:56true. I know I now bestow a gift to you when
- 8:59on the seas, a ship we met and pirate ship we were
- 9:02beset. You and I were taken captive on an island where
- 9:05we adapted. Although in danger, we resided and
- 9:08quietly our time abided until the moment of
- 9:11opportunity. You and I escaped in unity. Return
- 9:13yourself to island shores and the next clue will soon be
- 9:16yours. Return to the past. Look to the back. Use the
- 9:19flame in your heart to reveal the map. And once
- 9:22you arrive, don't forget about the
- 9:25tea. Bill, you remember when you were on that boat with me?
- 9:28You created a combo so strange in my mind it did
- 9:30imprint. So look to your creation. A mix of
- 9:33mango and mint. Mint. Yeah,
- 9:36we already knew that already. It just goes dot, dot,
- 9:39dot. Okay, anyways, that's what sets brock, are
- 9:42you happy?
- 9:43Yes.
- 9:44Okay, you can have the letter.
- 9:45I don't care if you can't read it.
- 9:48That's right. Sorry, Brock, I did not
- 9:51mean.
- 9:54You can practice.
- 9:57I just taught you what this is.
- 10:00It's got every word on there but mint.
- 10:03Uh, that's my name? Yes.
- 10:06Good, my boy.
- 10:11And then I uh, believe if I am
- 10:13correct, you guys revealed the map that was on the
- 10:16back of this letter.
- 10:20Well, I think it was Guao that actually did it. You held it
- 10:23close to the fire and you started to see there was like drawings and
- 10:26stuff.
- 10:26Yeah.
- 10:26Caged it.
- 10:27So it was Guaohan I gave the map to. Okay.
- 10:30That was way back at the shop though.
- 10:33We all knew that.
- 10:34Yeah. Why didn't you say that then, Mika?
- 10:37Because you don't like me. I was like that's why I was saying you didn't give
- 10:39me the map.
- 10:40Okay, well that
- 10:43might be true. But
- 10:46anyways, so that's what it
- 10:49says. You guys can look at it. I guess
- 10:53just for me, even though, um, I'm on the know, it
- 10:56says.
- 10:56Right there island shores where we met.
- 10:59So is there any part of Whaletail Island
- 11:02that is distinct enough to know
- 11:04that's exactly where you met Mr. Okura?
- 11:07Well, we met on a boat.
- 11:08Um, as you look at the back of the letter, I mean
- 11:11you do see a pretty, it's a pretty straightforward map
- 11:14of Whaletail Island itself. Like in its
- 11:17entirety showing kind of a line of where to
- 11:20begin. Um, you wonder if maybe the
- 11:22concept of where we first met kind of just
- 11:25implies to the island itself.
- 11:28Um, and then ah, the map kind of guides you once you reach
- 11:31the island, where to start and then go from there.
- 11:34As you guys are approaching, the waves kind of
- 11:37hitting against your boat as you guys make your way towards
- 11:40this island and it gets larger and larger as it comes closer and
- 11:43closer to you, or rather you get closer and closer to
- 11:45it. Uh, you can see in the distance kind
- 11:48of off on the left coast of this
- 11:51island, uh, there seems to be
- 11:54a flagpole that outcrops
- 11:56from a sailing vessel. Um, you guys are
- 11:59not headed directly towards where this thing seems to have
- 12:02ported. Uh, you're a little bit more towards
- 12:04the uh, right section
- 12:07of this island's coast.
- 12:10Um, so you're not going to collide with this
- 12:12pirate ship or land where the pirates
- 12:15may be set up, but you do assume that there are pirates that
- 12:18are actively on this island.
- 12:20Sick.
- 12:23We're approaching.
- 12:24Uh, do you guys have a preference on
- 12:27uh, where I leave you guys off?
- 12:29Uh, lay asks leave
- 12:32lay.
- 12:33No. What? You said leave.
- 12:39You said leave us off.
- 12:42I can wait. Yeah, I just like
- 12:45wherever you want me to leave you initially.
- 12:48Okay.
- 12:49I mean, unless the pirates come, then.
- 12:50I got to go. Well, uh, hopefully you take us with you.
- 12:53Mhm. Okay.
- 12:56Hopefully
- 12:59that's what they call you, right?
- 13:01Yes, hopefully.
- 13:03Uh, actually, it's lay. And they say, well hopefully
- 13:06doesn't make any sense. That's what I
- 13:09was then they say.
- 13:11Yes, that's what I meant to say. I want to order a whole
- 13:14fillet and then I say, oh, yeah,
- 13:17no, I can help you with that because I'm a fisherman and
- 13:20I have fillets of fish.
- 13:22So yeah,
- 13:26so when I eat a whole bunch of fish, they call me.
- 13:28Fish Fill a or Fish Fill
- 13:31lay.
- 13:32Boo
- 13:36lay's like, hey, it's not my choice.
- 13:39I didn't come up with it.
- 13:42It's what they tell me.
- 13:46Uh, he's the real victim here.
- 13:51After a few moments, you eventually do
- 13:54near the sandy beaches of
- 13:56Whaletail Island, or at least the sandy beaches where you're
- 13:59landing. Uh, a lot of the island is made up of sort
- 14:02of branchy fibrous, uh,
- 14:05trees, various kind of palm
- 14:08tree esque. It's got a very Piratey Cove kind of
- 14:11a feel to it.
- 14:11Right.
- 14:12There's a section that seems to feature a number of kind
- 14:15of outcropping rocks over, uh,
- 14:18a little bit further to the right of the coast of the island. That where you're
- 14:20landing. So, obviously, Lay, uh, being an
- 14:23experienced sailor, dodged those
- 14:26and ensured that those wouldn't be an issue for you guys. Uh,
- 14:29but otherwise, you land on a sandy beach
- 14:32section of, um, this
- 14:34island. And looking at your map, you're able to see
- 14:37where it is that you have landed on the map and
- 14:40where you need to go next. I'll
- 14:43just be here. I mean, if it gets really
- 14:46dark, I might head home, and then I'll just come back in the
- 14:49morning.
- 14:50Uh uh, any collateral we
- 14:52can take from you to make sure you come back?
- 14:55Well, I got more scales.
- 14:59Alas, I'm scaleless.
- 15:02They've been destroyed. Your
- 15:05reminder has put me back into emotional and
- 15:07mental turmoil.
- 15:10What about, uh, do you have, like, your fishing pot or
- 15:13your fishing rod?
- 15:13Hold on. I'm really not planning
- 15:16on leaving. I just fish while
- 15:19we
- 15:22have the time. Yeah, let's get out of here,
- 15:24guys. Kel just jumps off the side of the
- 15:27boat.
- 15:28All right, so where are we going? Where's the map say?
- 15:31Um, are we supposed to follow the map, or, like, what
- 15:34the will's clues say?
- 15:36Well, isn't the map part of the will?
- 15:39They're the same thing.
- 15:40I flip over the map.
- 15:42There's that wait, you flip over the map?
- 15:44No, the will to the map. Oh, you flip over to the map
- 15:47side? Yeah. Okay.
- 15:48And then you see the map, and it's a very
- 15:50like I said, you can kind of pick out where you've landed
- 15:53on the island and then find.
- 15:56How you would X on the map.
- 15:58Yes.
- 15:59Okay.
- 16:00So Bill, I guess, starts leading the way.
- 16:03Um stuff looks familiar.
- 16:07Stuff looks familiar a little bit.
- 16:09I mean, obviously, it's a bit more overgrown. You're in a bit of a
- 16:12different area than where you remember. Um,
- 16:15but you do notice that kind of where the pirate ship
- 16:18was that you guys saw as you guys sailed in. And you
- 16:21look at the map and some of the maybe rock formations or
- 16:24some of the details on the map you're like, oh, I think that's where
- 16:27we originally landed at.
- 16:29Is there docks on the map?
- 16:31Kind of. The pirates have sort of set up a makeshift
- 16:34dock where you guys landed was just kind of a beach
- 16:36section that Lay saw and said it's safe
- 16:39enough for us to land there. Um, but the pirates
- 16:42have definitely set up their own sort of dock because
- 16:45um, and as you might know, they seem
- 16:48to use this pretty frequently. It's kind of like a base or
- 16:51something for them.
- 16:52And there was buildings, right? Yes.
- 16:54That they've kind of made their own little pirate village
- 16:56almost.
- 16:57Okay, so I'm going to explain that while I'm pointing at
- 17:00this map and we're walking, the forest is ahead of us,
- 17:03right? Mhm. So I stop and I
- 17:06go, okay.
- 17:10Is the X near like, the coast?
- 17:13No, it's uh, actually kind of like
- 17:16sort of north of the
- 17:19middle of the island. The opposite of us
- 17:23more, um, like if you went straight in from where you're at and then took
- 17:26a sharp right and then not too far from that.
- 17:28So could we just go around the outside
- 17:32along the coast and just like turn in there? Yeah,
- 17:35you could do that forest. Is that where the X is?
- 17:37Yeah. Okay.
- 17:38All right, so I'm going to explain that.
- 17:41So, um, in the center of this island I'm going to show
- 17:44them the map and I'm pointing in the center. That's where the
- 17:46pirates stay. That's where the buildings
- 17:49are. Um,
- 17:52that's where they sleep. They hide out here, they store their
- 17:54loot. Um, and there's this forest and I show them the whole
- 17:57forest near the middle, but around it I go. This
- 18:00is the forest where they hide stuff like
- 18:03the more special stuff. But um, they don't usually
- 18:06stay there. Um, and
- 18:09from what it looks like, the X is
- 18:12there in the forest. So what I'm suggesting we
- 18:15do is just walk around the outside of the coast so we don't have to go through the
- 18:18middle. Run into any pirates. Let's go along the coast.
- 18:20Pirates are going to be the middle. Let's just go around. We don't need to mess with
- 18:23pirates. Even though I was a great pirate,
- 18:26they probably remember me for how great I was. But I did
- 18:29also knock a guy out to escape them.
- 18:32So let's avoid pirates.
- 18:34Wait, you were a pirate?
- 18:36Yeah, well, for
- 18:39like a day or two, yeah.
- 18:41Sweet.
- 18:42Yeah, right? Yeah, I was a pirate. They taught me
- 18:45pirate. The guy gave me a pirate
- 18:47name. Um, I swabbed a
- 18:50deck.
- 18:51I've always wanted to do that.
- 18:53Swab a deck.
- 18:54Trust me, it was not fun.
- 18:56So what made you into the boring person you are now?
- 18:59What do you mean?
- 19:02That's me, Mika.
- 19:04You sleep with the Bow staff, man.
- 19:06I mean, she's not
- 19:08but you guys see what I do with that bow
- 19:11staff? I hit people. I knocked out a pirate
- 19:14with that bow staff.
- 19:15Yeah, but you should just quiet and don't talk.
- 19:18Now you're like, well, what do I.
- 19:19Have to talk about?
- 19:20I'm a pirate now.
- 19:23You have this interesting thing about you. I've always said
- 19:25that you guys just never ask questions.
- 19:28I have all your hands and your fingers.
- 19:33It was a day, okay? Like, it hadn't gotten to the level
- 19:36of actually the funny fact, most of the
- 19:39pirates had all their limbs. I was also questioning that
- 19:41when I first got on the crew.
- 19:43Is that like a religious thing with
- 19:46pirates?
- 19:47I wasn't long enough with them to know that answer
- 19:50either.
- 19:52You hear it's like, oh, you just assume it's like a shark.
- 19:55But what if it's something
- 19:58weird?
- 19:58I'm going to be honest with you. I'm going to be completely honest
- 20:01with you. I was actually
- 20:04totally interested in joining the pirate crew back then
- 20:07because I was young, I had nothing to do. Right. I was on
- 20:10the run, and I figured, no better place to
- 20:13find me.
- 20:14Than a pirate crew, right?
- 20:15Pirate and on the run.
- 20:17Yeah.
- 20:17Who are you? But is your name
- 20:20even.
- 20:22Yeah, yeah. Ah. My name is Door. But you
- 20:25hesitated.
- 20:27No, it's more convincing.
- 20:30It's bill dor. It's definitely Bill Dore. And it's not a
- 20:32name I definitely made up before I got put on a pirate crew.
- 20:35And the name that they gave me on a pirate crew.
- 20:39Why are you guys putting me on the spot all of a sudden?
- 20:42You're the pirate expert, the runaway.
- 20:44What kind of pirates are these? Are these like
- 20:47the juggling tell joke kind
- 20:50of pirates?
- 20:51There was a couple of those. There was all sorts on the ship. I
- 20:54do remember that. And they were really friendly, which is another reason
- 20:57why I wanted to join them. They were all friendly.
- 21:00You recall in your mind one very specific pirate
- 21:03that was incredibly well spoken?
- 21:04Yes, I remember, uh, one specifically. The
- 21:07one I knocked out. He was in charge of guarding the boat when I knocked him
- 21:10out. His name was Kalconi, and he
- 21:13was very smart for being
- 21:16a pirate. He spoke really well and
- 21:19elegant, and he sounded like he
- 21:21was rich from the background.
- 21:24So if the pirates are friendly and
- 21:27you were well respected among them, why do we need to avoid them
- 21:30again?
- 21:31I knocked them out and ran away. You knocked one of them
- 21:33out? Yeah, but Calconi was like, one of their
- 21:36leaders. But this might not be that crew. That's what I
- 21:38mean. Not all pirates are friendly. Just the crew I was with.
- 21:42And I wanted to join them, and I was going to get to that. And the reason I
- 21:44ran wasn't because of me, is because of Mr.
- 21:47Okero. He really wanted off that ship,
- 21:50and I knew they weren't just going to let him because they had some of his
- 21:53heat. They loved it. He'd even cured the captain of
- 21:56his, uh, nightmares he was having,
- 21:59but he wanted to leave and go start his shop,
- 22:01and I knew they wouldn't let him, so
- 22:04I helped him escape.
- 22:07Interesting.
- 22:08And yeah. And my name is definitely Bill Dor.
- 22:11So don't question that again.
- 22:14The more you say that, the less I believe you.
- 22:17What else would it be? It wouldn't be anything else.
- 22:19Like dil bohr.
- 22:23It's definitely not dil bohr.
- 22:26Does something like he just looked at something was like, eh,
- 22:29that's a good name.
- 22:31We should have listened to your pre.
- 22:32No, I definitely did
- 22:35not look at something and come up with the name Build
- 22:38Door. And Mr. Oakron definitely did not help me come up with the
- 22:41name as well. These are things that did not
- 22:43happen. We really should have
- 22:46listened.
- 22:46The more you talk, the less convincing you
- 22:49become.
- 22:50Maybe you should okay, fine. You want to know my real
- 22:52name?
- 22:53Yeah.
- 22:54Okay.
- 22:54It's Ash.
- 22:55Okay. My real name is Ash, but I don't want people
- 23:00who's ash catch them.
- 23:02Like, before your time.
- 23:04Yeah, okay. No. My name's Ash. Okay. But I'm not
- 23:07giving you my last name. Okay.
- 23:08Lee.
- 23:10Not Lee. I'm on the run, okay. And I don't
- 23:13want people to find me. Okay. It's important.
- 23:16Don't tell anyone you know my real. Okay.
- 23:19So, Ash lamb. Because you're on the
- 23:21lamb.
- 23:23Sure. You can call me that. Just call
- 23:26you Bill. Thank you. I prefer Bill. Please call me
- 23:29Bill.
- 23:29I mean, at this point, it'll just be a big
- 23:32mess.
- 23:33Yeah, okay. I would prefer Bill. Thank you. Uh,
- 23:36now follow me and Bill's just going to start walking
- 23:39down, uh, the side of the, uh, beach. Okay.
- 23:42They can still talk to you. I don't care very much. Just trying to
- 23:44walk away.
- 23:46I figured that this conversation was happening as you guys were we're
- 23:49walking along, following the map, and eventually okay.
- 23:51He speeds up his walk.
- 23:54Sure.
- 23:55Following the map, you eventually find yourself,
- 23:59uh, near a cave. And as you
- 24:01enter the cave, because this is where the map is kind of leading you,
- 24:04it has an X over the cave. You enter into the inside
- 24:07of the cave and discover a large chamber with a
- 24:10massive hole in the center of the ceiling
- 24:13where sunlight enters through at the top.
- 24:16Uh, the cave is large and has giant
- 24:20gem like stalagmites, which refract the light
- 24:23that comes in through the top of this cave,
- 24:26uh, across the entire cavern. Although
- 24:29it's incredibly beautiful, to add to this
- 24:31beauty, there are plants that have sprung up
- 24:34thanks to this light, this sunlight, that's able to get inside of
- 24:37this cave, all throughout the cave,
- 24:40crawling up the sides of the rocky
- 24:43walls, as well as filling the entire floor with various
- 24:46foliage. Um, that seems to almost be
- 24:48organized in a really interesting way.
- 24:51There's, um, a small stream of water
- 24:54that comes in through the back of the cave
- 24:57and sort of flows down through into the opening
- 25:00from where you kind of came in at. Uh, the water
- 25:03itself actually seems to have been, uh,
- 25:06sort of dug out into smaller
- 25:09streams that break out along the sides to ensure that
- 25:11all the foliage that makes up the bottom of this
- 25:14cavern, um, sort of receives a small
- 25:17amount of water before it drips all the way out.
- 25:20And again, as I mentioned before, the plants seem to be
- 25:22organized almost, uh, by type in these
- 25:25little sections where the water sort of flows through. Although it does
- 25:28look like some of them have grown a little bit
- 25:31messily, as if someone had been taking
- 25:34care of this and hasn't been taking care of it anytime
- 25:36recently. Um, at this point,
- 25:39you've reached where the X in the map has
- 25:41led you. Um, but
- 25:44now you've got this massive, uh,
- 25:47foliage covered cave,
- 25:50and you're not sure what to do next.
- 25:53You guys see an X anywhere?
- 25:57Is that how these things work?
- 26:00Find a mint.
- 26:03Is there any mint among this foliage?
- 26:05And what are all these bushes here? Um, let's take a
- 26:08closer look. Yeah.
- 26:09So as you kind of lean down towards it,
- 26:12um, glow, I feel like you definitely would
- 26:15probably recognize this as being somebody that probably
- 26:17helped Mr. Okaron a lot with the teas.
- 26:20Um, and kind of given your background a little bit, is that
- 26:23all of the plants that are in here all seem to be different
- 26:26kinds of herbs or plants that are
- 26:29often used in tea making in different
- 26:32flavorings or for their aromas,
- 26:35um, or whatever the case. So you recognize a lot of these plants
- 26:38that are in here, uh, as stuff that Mr.
- 26:40Okaran used in the Blissful Brew Tea
- 26:43Shop.
- 26:45Um, I think we just start sniffing.
- 26:47Till we find some mint. Oh, yeah,
- 26:49guys, just follow our
- 26:51nose.
- 26:52To the fruity taste that shows.
- 26:54So we're just going to crawl around on the ground just
- 26:57sniffing it away?
- 26:58You got a better idea?
- 27:00No. Okay.
- 27:02I'm pretty sure I remember what a mint leaf looks
- 27:05like now.
- 27:06I just feel silly down here.
- 27:08Well, I mean, I'll try to look.
- 27:10For that, but for fun, uh, let's have everybody roll.
- 27:12A rely on your skills and training.
- 27:14All of us?
- 27:15Yeah, why not? And we'll just see whoever we'll see.
- 27:17Who rolls the highest.
- 27:19It's, uh, going to be
- 27:21focus, apparently.
- 27:23Focus.
- 27:24Nine.
- 27:25Nice.
- 27:28Oh, my cow. You
- 27:31beat my ten.
- 27:32Sure enough.
- 27:33GuoHan.
- 27:33Uh, three.
- 27:37Mika. Just, like, dishes.
- 27:41You don't recognize any of it?
- 27:43I was going to say you're like me whenever I walk into, like, a bath and
- 27:45bodyworks where it's just like.
- 27:47There'S too much smells.
- 27:49Uh, but I like that better.
- 27:51Yeah, you just watched, like,
- 27:53dishwater. Yeah, you go straight over to
- 27:56the.
- 27:56Water and you're like, not the water I
- 27:59remember.
- 28:02How much dishwater did she drink?
- 28:07Just chugging in.
- 28:12Just the cotter.
- 28:17The special that made.
- 28:19For that drunk guy way back in the
- 28:22first episode.
- 28:22That's right. Whatever the case,
- 28:25uh, Guo, you and Bill
- 28:28both manage to sniff your way over to
- 28:31the mint. And sure enough, as you
- 28:34approach it, you can see a small
- 28:37corner of what looks like a wooden box. Seems
- 28:40to be peeking out from the
- 28:43mint leaves that give off a
- 28:46delightful fresh smell.
- 28:47Reach for it, and your hands touch.
- 28:50And you lock eyes and music.
- 28:55I think he gohan barely beats me. He beat my role.
- 28:58Yes, he did.
- 28:58Just barely beat you.
- 29:00Uh, he's, uh, digging it up as you approach,
- 29:03pulling it out of the dirt.
- 29:06Guys, I found something nice.
- 29:09And sure enough, some sort of box. It is it is
- 29:12a small wooden box.
- 29:14We'll open it up.
- 29:16Yeah.
- 29:17All right. Is it locked or? It is
- 29:20not locked. It has, like, a little latch
- 29:23on it, but you just kind of undo it.
- 29:28Uh, you open it up and inside you
- 29:31find a small stone tablet that
- 29:33seems to feature a
- 29:36map like, drawing on it. But when you
- 29:39look at the edges of this tablet, you feel
- 29:42as though maybe it's been broken and there
- 29:45might be more pieces to it.
- 29:47Additionally, you find a small letter,
- 29:50and on the envelope of this letter, or rather, the letter itself
- 29:53is folded. And then there's, like, a seal that keeps
- 29:56you from seeing what the letter says. On
- 29:58the back of this letter, it says,
- 30:01To Bill. And then there's
- 30:04another letter that's folded similarly
- 30:07with, uh, a
- 30:10stamp on it. Uh, and this one says to
- 30:12Guao And that's everything that's in the
- 30:15box.
- 30:19Are you, like me, a fan of
- 30:22piracy or privateering,
- 30:25um, out in your d D campaign? Well,
- 30:28check this out. We have been working on a brand
- 30:31new airship combat system. That
- 30:33means you and your privateer crew can now
- 30:36take to the skies and pillage at new
- 30:39heights. Within this system, you will
- 30:42get three dimensional dynamic movement and
- 30:45combat rules. You'll get, uh, a brand new
- 30:47updated air crew system, as well as
- 30:50brand new spells, items, creatures,
- 30:53and example airships for you to use in your
- 30:56campaign, as well as crews to put on
- 30:59them. But I think the coolest part about all of this
- 31:02is we have a custom ship builder
- 31:04application that will allow you to customize and
- 31:07build your very own airship.
- 31:10It means you and your team can have exactly
- 31:13what you want as you take on the skies.
- 31:16If you're interested in any of that, check out our Skies Efforts
- 31:19kickstarter here at Hermione and the Dude.

- 33:06Let's get back to the show.
- 33:12His two favorite children.
- 33:13Apparently another
- 33:16one for me.
- 33:17To be fair, I couldn't read it anyways.
- 33:20He probably knew that.
- 33:23You guys, look at this. Look
- 33:26at this rock. Give that to Brock.
- 33:29Oh, wait, if that's for Brock, and that's
- 33:32for Guo, and this is for me. Oh, me.
- 33:35Uh, here is a.
- 33:43Sick. Honestly, if the stone was
- 33:46specifically for Brock, mr. O'cry,
- 33:49brock very well. He's a very wise
- 33:51man. Okay, I guess
- 33:54I'll open mine.
- 33:56All right. Uh, do you want me to just read what it
- 33:59says?
- 34:00Uh, Bill's going to read it privately again, like he did the
- 34:03first time.
- 34:03Okay.
- 34:04Go on.
- 34:04Could read.
- 34:05Yeah. You have it written down, I'm
- 34:08guessing. Yeah, I got to make it harder.
- 34:10For everyone because he's a secretive guy.
- 34:13He won't even tell us his real name.
- 34:16I just did.
- 34:18You didn't start out that way.
- 34:20You're like, oh, I'm totally Bill Dore. What are
- 34:23you talking about?
- 34:26I, uh, can tell you right now. It wouldn't give
- 34:29away any kind of secrets or anything. It's more just like a
- 34:31sentimental thing.
- 34:32Oh, no. Bill's reading it himself. Sentimentally
- 34:35first, and then he's going to read it to everyone.
- 34:38It's not like he wants to hide the letters. He just wants to, like if it's
- 34:41specifically for him. He wants to enjoy it to
- 34:44himself first, then read it to
- 34:47others. Okay, I will send it to you. Have that
- 34:50private moment first, because he's still
- 34:54grieving.
- 34:55Well, I'm salty. I only got a box for,
- 34:58apparently, my fox.
- 35:01Where's your fox dog?
- 35:02Business.
- 35:03There's something hidden following me around everywhere
- 35:06right now.
- 35:08It's a little quieter than Dilbert, man.
- 35:11Dilbert at least got a couple mentions.
- 35:13Non dirty, um, dishwater.
- 35:16You ever figure out his name?
- 35:18What's his name?
- 35:18Poe.
- 35:19PO. PO. See,
- 35:22that is I remember you saying that before.
- 35:25Mika okay, fox dog.
- 35:28Did a Kung Fu panda thing just come up on
- 35:31your feed?
- 35:32No, I just like the one
- 35:34syllable sound.
- 35:36It's a good name. It's a good name. I'm glad you revealed it
- 35:39now.
- 35:39All right, my dad always said you have to name a dog one
- 35:42syllable. My real dad, so you can yell
- 35:45it.
- 35:48Cameron and, um, I sent you the note
- 35:51so you can read through that beforehand. And
- 35:54then, uh, Dave Guao has
- 35:56his own letter.
- 35:59Did you, uh, want me to read it?
- 36:01Yeah.
- 36:01Okay. It says read it in Mr.
- 36:04Opelron's voice.
- 36:05I, um, was going to add some.
- 36:08Reverb so you can tell from beyond.
- 36:11Well, then everybody has to be quiet so that I can edit it just
- 36:14right.
- 36:15All right, it says you're
- 36:18up next, my friend. When we first met, you
- 36:21were still working for the carnival. I know that we
- 36:24all have things in life we look back on and
- 36:27despise or wish never happened to us. But
- 36:30always remember that those experiences are
- 36:32there to strengthen us. And the fact that we
- 36:35push on shows that we are stronger than the
- 36:38things that try to hold us back. Never let
- 36:41anyone or anything hold you back, Lo. The
- 36:44coming quest of this hunt will rely heavily on you,
- 36:47my boy. But don't think that doesn't
- 36:50mean you won't need your friends. I
- 36:52have three instructions for you. One,
- 36:55look down to the bottom for your next
- 36:58destination. Two,
- 37:00read between the lines and seek out an
- 37:03old friend of mine. And three,
- 37:06remember the tune you'll need it again
- 37:08soon. Pull some strings to hear the
- 37:11music ring.
- 37:13Everything has to be in a riddle.
- 37:15Yeah. Couldn't you have just said, hey, Guo.
- 37:19Go to this place?
- 37:22My old friend Bill.
- 37:29Hey, Ash, you want to read it?
- 37:32I told you guys, I don't want to be called Ash. I want to be
- 37:35called Bill, okay? I don't want to make this a
- 37:37thing, okay?
- 37:39You made it a thing by not.
- 37:41Making okay, if you guys want to.
- 37:42Call me Ash, you can
- 37:45because you guys are my friends, okay? But if we're
- 37:48around other people call me Bill, okay?
- 37:51Because I don't want to get caught. That's all I
- 37:54ask. What about, like, Billy eye?
- 37:57Ash.
- 37:58M-M-I tried to stretch it like Billy Eye
- 38:01ash. It's a stretch.
- 38:03Who's that?
- 38:06Who's that
- 38:09musician that we know
- 38:12back.
- 38:12In 6000 years from now?
- 38:14Oh, um, real quick,
- 38:17something that I'll point out to Dave.
- 38:19There are a series of
- 38:22letters kind of randomly throughout
- 38:24your letter that are written in a
- 38:27red ink. Okay, what letters
- 38:30are yes, I'll tell you. Them in order
- 38:33as reading? Well, I guess
- 38:36in Avatar, I guess technically they do kind
- 38:39of like the kind of Kanji almost
- 38:42or Chinese writing where it's read
- 38:45up and down as opposed to left or right. But in my
- 38:48writing, I'll tell you I'm in order based on left
- 38:51to right. Um, so mayuyiny
- 38:54and
- 38:57U,
- 39:06as you note these you look back
- 39:09to the second thing, uh,
- 39:12sort of instruction that Mr. Okaran had left you in that thing,
- 39:15which said, read between the lines to
- 39:18seek out an old friend of mine.
- 39:21Yeah, I thought that was weird.
- 39:23There you go.
- 39:24Thought you were reading your mistype.
- 39:25Uh, but I didn't.
- 39:28He's clever.
- 39:29I probably had to go in and change the autocorrect for that.
- 39:32Are you good for me
- 39:35to read my letter now?
- 39:37Yeah.
- 39:37Okay.
- 39:40Do you guys want me to read it, or do you want Skylar reading Mr.
- 39:43O'Connor's voice?
- 39:44I think we might as well get our money's worth out of the reverb.
- 39:47Okay, so Bill, um, clears his
- 39:50voice to read the letter and
- 39:53well done, Bill.
- 39:54I, uh, knew you remember our first encounter. I'm a man
- 39:57who never forgets his tease. In this box,
- 40:00you will find a piece of the map that, when uh, placed
- 40:03alongside the rest of the pieces, will allow you to
- 40:06find the will that I have left behind.
- 40:09Also, once you do find the will, and
- 40:12I know you will and take the tea shop
- 40:14for yourselves, remember this cave. After you
- 40:17and I's fateful capture that brought us to this island
- 40:20and we escaped our captors, I returned in hopes
- 40:23that I might be able to retrieve some of the rare ingredients I had left
- 40:26behind, or at least what was left of
- 40:29them. Sure enough, uh, the pirates were gone,
- 40:32but they left me little left of the rare plants
- 40:35I had collected. As I was gathering it all together and
- 40:38taking it to my boat, I came across this cave
- 40:41and realized what an opportunity it offered.
- 40:44I decided that instead of making single use of
- 40:47the materials I collected, I would instead make an investment.
- 40:50Uh, I planned the various seedlings
- 40:53for my materials and prepared this cave
- 40:55to help with cultivation and growth. I
- 40:58returned back here in a couple of months to find it
- 41:01flourishing. The spirits of nature must have
- 41:03smiled upon me. So now I make an
- 41:06occasional trip to Whaletail Island every month or so
- 41:09to harvest some ingredients and cultivate my
- 41:12secret cave. I encourage you to make good use of it
- 41:15and always remember two things treat nature
- 41:18with nurture and kindness, and it will show you thanks.
- 41:21And always make sure to invest in the long term
- 41:24rather than make single use of your efforts.
- 41:27Mika, you are holding the box that was given to
- 41:30you because people thought that was the only thing that was left
- 41:33from Mr. Okuron. Mhm um, as
- 41:36you I don't know what you're really doing with the
- 41:38box.
- 41:39My fox dog is sitting in it.
- 41:41Oh, okay. Um, as I don't know, you're helping it
- 41:44into the box, uh, breaks?
- 41:46No.
- 41:47Revealing a key.
- 41:49No. Uh, you notice two
- 41:52things. You notice a, uh, small sort
- 41:54of like, um,
- 41:57extrusion at the bottom of the box, uh,
- 42:00that causes your fox dog to get uncomfortable and
- 42:03unable to sit in the box because it's kind of poking it a
- 42:06little bit. So it climbs out, and you see that there's
- 42:09a small metal, um, sort of
- 42:12insignia at the bottom of it.
- 42:14Like, does it move in the box?
- 42:16It doesn't move, but it does seem to have something written on
- 42:19it.
- 42:19I'll try and grab it.
- 42:20I guess, uh, it's, like, attached to the box.
- 42:23I'll push it.
- 42:24It doesn't push, but it does have something written
- 42:27on it.
- 42:29Okay.
- 42:29You're going to look at it? Okay. You walk over to, like, one of the
- 42:32gemstones that kind of shines the sunlight or refracts
- 42:35the sunlight, and you're able to see inside the box really well.
- 42:37And, uh, the small metal thing
- 42:40in the box seems to be one of those, like,
- 42:43made in whatever. And it reads Made in
- 42:46Yudao, which is a small
- 42:49city that you know of, um,
- 42:51that's in the Earth Kingdom. Uh, the second thing that you
- 42:54notice as you're bringing it over here is you can
- 42:57feel something on the side of the
- 43:00box that seems to kind of protrude ever so
- 43:02slightly. Another protrusion. Uh, you push
- 43:05it, and it sort of pushes in, and then it
- 43:08returns back larger. And there's sort
- 43:11of, uh, like a pull string,
- 43:13almost obviously.
- 43:15Okay.
- 43:16You pull it and you hear a
- 43:19small melody.
- 43:52So we just hear we just see Mika wander off, and then we
- 43:55hear music, basically.
- 43:56Oh, yeah, that's true.
- 43:59It also said down to the bottom.
- 44:02Of the crate,
- 44:05what's that sound? I'm saying,
- 44:08what's that sound? Mika, what
- 44:11are you doing over there?
- 44:12Yeah, you do recognize the tune.
- 44:14I recognize that, uh, too, from yours.
- 44:18Why'd you whisper that?
- 44:19Because I'm not supposed to know that, am I?
- 44:21You read the letter.
- 44:26It does ring familiar to something you
- 44:29remember hearing back in the day and even playing
- 44:32on occasion back in the day when you were in the
- 44:34circus. Kind of a common circus
- 44:37tune.
- 44:38It's the ticket sales theme.
- 44:42Ticket sales?
- 44:47You suddenly feel the urge to buy.
- 44:49Something.
- 44:53With magical ability.
- 44:55All right, so you have a series of letters
- 44:57that were in red. You
- 45:00have a small
- 45:02insignia at the bottom of this box that says Made in
- 45:05Udao. And you have a
- 45:08tune that what do you mean?
- 45:11I didn't tell them about all that.
- 45:12Oh, sorry.
- 45:14What do you mean, ticket sales theme?
- 45:18Well.
- 45:20Get your tickets here. It's the
- 45:23carnival in town.
- 45:26Does that sound like it fits to the music?
- 45:30I hear it. I hear it. Okay. Yeah, that's not
- 45:32quite, um I hear it. Okay, I hear
- 45:35it. Did it work?
- 45:38Did the song work to get more ticket sales or something?
- 45:41Yeah. The carnival is here
- 45:44to stay. Come get your tickets, laugh and
- 45:46play?
- 45:50Uh, something like that, yeah. I mean, honestly, sometimes
- 45:53we just made up the words as we went.
- 45:57That sounds like a carnival thing to do.
- 46:00Yeah, we had different people doing it.
- 46:03They would just hand you, like, this
- 46:05music box and you just crank it
- 46:08and they'd be like, Go sell some tickets.
- 46:12How long were you in a carnival for?
- 46:14All my life.
- 46:16Your whole life?
- 46:18Insert anakin skywalker there.
- 46:22You were born into a carnival?
- 46:24No, but,
- 46:27uh, basically my
- 46:29parents sold me
- 46:32to this carnival, so I
- 46:35just had to do whatever they told
- 46:38me.
- 46:39They sold you because
- 46:42they saw his.
- 46:43Pure raw talent and they said, this
- 46:46kid deserves to be seen by people.
- 46:49But also we need some compensation for
- 46:52it.
- 46:53I'm trying to make him feel better.
- 46:54Sorry, I'm m the DM.
- 46:57It's like the trauma dumping episode.
- 47:00Yeah, it really is.
- 47:07If you didn't notice, Skylar was trying to do something with these
- 47:10letters that, uh, would get us to actually talk as
- 47:12characters for once.
- 47:14I guess we got to sit around a campfire whenever it gets dark
- 47:17and just reveal our secrets, I guess.
- 47:19Ah.
- 47:20Do you have secrets? What? Do
- 47:23you have secrets? I felt like you're a pretty open book. You fought in
- 47:25the Earth Rumble arena.
- 47:28Yeah, I don't but I mean, we haven't heard
- 47:30anything from Mika.
- 47:32There's nothing to hear about.
- 47:34Uh, well, you have.
- 47:35This fox dog that you've been hiding.
- 47:36From us barely just revealed its name
- 47:39out of nowhere.
- 47:40I literally found that in the maze with all of you guys.
- 47:43Wait a second. Mika, I have to ask. I have to ask because
- 47:46this is a very Mika thing to do.
- 47:48Yes, my name's?
- 47:49No, no. Uh, did you reveal your fox dog's name
- 47:52finally? Because I revealed that I had a
- 47:55different name and you wanted to one up me
- 47:58or knew
- 48:00it. That's a very meeka thing. I knew it.
- 48:03Okay. Anyways, let's go. So they sold
- 48:06you to a carnival
- 48:09and you were in it till you met Mr.
- 48:12Okaron?
- 48:13Yeah, pretty much. It was a whole thing. The
- 48:16guy, the owner of it, he went kind
- 48:19of he made this mad bid for
- 48:21power with the magic staff.
- 48:25Magic staff?
- 48:26Magic staff? Like what kind
- 48:29of magic?
- 48:31Um, the
- 48:34dangerous kind.
- 48:36It's very vague
- 48:39danger.
- 48:40The mass hypnosis kind.
- 48:43Oh.
- 48:45M, so were you
- 48:48hypnotized?
- 48:50No.
- 48:51Did you do the hypnotizing?
- 48:53I did not.
- 48:55Someone else did.
- 48:57You could have stole it.
- 48:58Everyone zombies or something.
- 49:01Yeah, it was like a spirit magic. Like
- 49:04there was a spirit?
- 49:05Literal.
- 49:06Uh, yeah, I'm saying is he actually
- 49:09saying this in real?
- 49:10No, I think that was Dave. Yeah.
- 49:13M, basically it was it sort of like trapped the
- 49:15souls of people that had
- 49:18died or rather, it didn't trap them. It
- 49:21itself was trapped and therefore could not vessel
- 49:24people to the other side. And
- 49:27so it was able to sort of control what
- 49:30was left behind in
- 49:33a strange zombie sense.
- 49:34Okay, curious
- 49:37and curious.
- 49:38Okay, now you can continue. So what kind of
- 49:41magic staff?
- 49:43Uh, spirit staff, to be
- 49:46precise. Spirit,
- 49:49but also vague.
- 49:50Wasn't that what you got, Brock? Like a
- 49:53spirit and that rock?
- 49:55No, this wasn't like, a band camp thing.
- 50:00He caught a spirit. Didn't you?
- 50:01Yeah, the gem from the mountain
- 50:04monster that you guys failed to help me
- 50:07with. Heart of the mountain.
- 50:10So, like, that kind of spirit?
- 50:12Kind of. But this one was, like, trapped
- 50:15against its will.
- 50:22Like, who was trapped?
- 50:25The spirit or people?
- 50:28Both. Uh,
- 50:32the spirit was trapped.
- 50:33This guy doesn't sound like a nice dude.
- 50:36Well, he bought the staff from somebody.
- 50:39Are you sure your parents exotic just.
- 50:41Steal your parents body and was like, oh, let's orphan this
- 50:44kid and make him the next bad guy?
- 50:48What?
- 50:49That's elaborate.
- 50:52That's very elaborate.
- 50:54No, I think it was more I don't
- 50:57know. I mean, I was a baby, so.
- 50:59I didn't know, but I need to break this up. We
- 51:02do only have, like, two days to get this whole
- 51:05well, you have.
- 51:05Longer than two days.
- 51:07I thought we had to meet the guys with the
- 51:10will in, like, three days.
- 51:11I think it was a week.
- 51:12It was a week, so never mind.
- 51:14Sorry. Continue.
- 51:17Not to say that urgency isn't a fair point.
- 51:19You have nightfall. But we've only spent one
- 51:22day.
- 51:22Yeah, that is true. Okay, sorry. Continue with your trauma
- 51:25dump.
- 51:25Well, now I don't really feel like sharing.
- 51:29Sorry to kill you can talk, and
- 51:32then Meek is next.
- 51:34I'm not next. I didn't get nothing.
- 51:36I told you what my real name was. We all have to give
- 51:39something.
- 51:40Wow.
- 51:41What? Uh,
- 51:44we all have to give something. Okay, I gave you guys my
- 51:46freaking real name. Okay, what'd you do?
- 51:49You gave us your first name.
- 51:51You didn't give us your whole apparently you guys are
- 51:54blabbermouth.
- 51:56Who else do we interact with? Really?
- 51:59Nika, what did you do with that box?
- 52:02How did you get it to play that music?
- 52:04I pulled a string.
- 52:08Just like my letter said.
- 52:10Do you want to look at it?
- 52:12Um, sure.
- 52:13It's made in Udao.
- 52:16Udao? Wait a minute.
- 52:19I lightly tossed it to him. Do you catch it?
- 52:22Are you.
- 52:26Quick?
- 52:29Just like Fatima? Uh.
- 52:33That one punch man.
- 52:35No, it's Guo's
- 52:37favorite, uh, actress.
- 52:41Um oh, yeah, I remember that.
- 52:43That was another fun fact.
- 52:47Um,
- 52:49the letter said something about down
- 52:52to the bottom.
- 52:55The, uh, letter said, look at the bottom of the box.
- 52:59We don't.
- 53:05Sorry.
- 53:05It says, look down to the bottom for your next
- 53:08destination.
- 53:10Well, now we know what that clue was.
- 53:18This blue paw print doing
- 53:23on this dress. I'm, uh,
- 53:26sorry.
- 53:28Look down to the bottom for your next
- 53:30destination.
- 53:33Guys, looks like we're going to Udao.
- 53:36Uh,
- 53:39where's that?
- 53:40We're on Whaletail Island. That's at the very bottom of the
- 53:42map. Udao is in the Earth Kingdom, you
- 53:45said?
- 53:46Yes.
- 53:47So we're going to have doesn't look like it.
- 53:51Hopefully it's not embasing say.
- 53:54But there's no war in bossing say, at least.
- 53:57Well, bossing say that's why
- 53:59bossing SEI is at the top right ish of that
- 54:02map, because you can see the walls of the city. So that's
- 54:05Earth Kingdom ish so that's a good ways
- 54:08away from Whaletail Island.
- 54:09I hope it's not there.
- 54:12Well, that's where the Earth Kingdom is, so it's going to be in that
- 54:15area.
- 54:15So we got to go to Udao.
- 54:18You said it sounded familiar. Glow.
- 54:21Uh.
- 54:23What'S your history with Udao?
- 54:25That's me.
- 54:31Maybe just heard of the town
- 54:34in the Earth Kingdom. You are from the Earth Kingdom? I would
- 54:37have thought that.
- 54:38Read between the lines.
- 54:41There's something in this letter. Think we're
- 54:44supposed to meet somebody there.
- 54:46Oh, red.
- 54:48Like a person.
- 54:48Like the red letters.
- 54:50Well, look at this letter.
- 54:54Oh, really?
- 54:56Yeah.
- 54:58And they spell something.
- 55:01Yeah, it says, my union.
- 55:04You.
- 55:08My, um union.
- 55:09You sound like Brock reading the
- 55:11letter.
- 55:13Okay, feelings.
- 55:16Let's not hurt feelings here.
- 55:18So we got to go to Udao to find Min yin yin.
- 55:20Yin.
- 55:21Or May.
- 55:25Oh, it might be a girl.
- 55:27Wait, did you actually write it down?
- 55:30No, like the poem.
- 55:32Oh, he didn't write the poem down. Like a
- 55:35paragraph.
- 55:35Yeah.
- 55:38He just wrote the three clues.
- 55:40And then that uh I know, but I want to see where they are in the
- 55:43letter.
- 55:44Read it out.
- 55:45Mayu Yinyu.
- 55:47Does it matter where they are in the letter?
- 55:50I gave them in order, but that.
- 55:53Doesn'T mean that it's in order.
- 55:55Do you want me to read this again?
- 55:57Yeah.
- 55:58Okay.
- 55:59Whoa.
- 55:59You're my friend. When we first met, you were
- 56:02still working for the carnival. I know that
- 56:05we all have things in life we look back on and
- 56:08despise or wish never happened to us. But
- 56:11always remember that those experiences are there to
- 56:14strengthen us. And the fact that we push on
- 56:17shows that we're stronger than the things that try to hold
- 56:20us back. Never let anyone or
- 56:23anything hold you back. Quo
- 56:25the coming quest of this hunt will rely
- 56:28heavily on you, my boy. But don't think that
- 56:31doesn't mean you won't need your friends.
- 56:34I have left you the following instructions.
- 56:37One, look down to the bottom for your next
- 56:40destination. Two, read
- 56:43between the lines to seek out an old friend
- 56:46of mine. Three, remember
- 56:48the tune. You'll need it again soon. Pull some
- 56:51strings to hear the music ring.
- 56:54If we go to Udao and ask around, maybe someone might just
- 56:57recognize that. Or if we just spell it
- 57:00to them.
- 57:00UU.
- 57:01And may maybe they
- 57:04might have a missing scale as well. And we have to help
- 57:07them in our fish
- 57:09adventure.
- 57:10If they do, we've got a foolproof way
- 57:13to, um, get them to
- 57:16yeah.
- 57:16What was that? Brock?
- 57:17Don't worry about it.
- 57:18Okay, you'll admit
- 57:21it. One day.
- 57:23One day.
- 57:24Wait. I told you my real
- 57:27name. What'd you do to those people?
- 57:30It.
- 57:33Was dragging on, so I
- 57:36decided to, against their will,
- 57:39kind of attach their feet to the
- 57:42floor and then lift the floor off
- 57:45the ground, flip them upside down and shake them until
- 57:48someone you know it worked.
- 57:52And we're here now, and that's all that
- 57:55matters. And we're better off for it.
- 57:57Only some mild trauma.
- 58:00Some guy to lee,
- 58:03actually.
- 58:04Oh, the guy in the boat? Yeah, the guy who's in charge of our
- 58:07lives and not getting caught by pirates.
- 58:09Yeah, that guy.
- 58:10Just as you say those words, you hear a
- 58:13voice from behind you at the entrance of the cave.
- 58:16Well.
- 58:19Uh, a bunch of kids just chilling
- 58:22in a cave on my island. And
- 58:25as you turn around, you see a large group of
- 58:28pirates all blocking the entrance to the cave,
- 58:31staring at you.
- 58:33Should have kept moving and not trauma. Dumped.
- 58:35This wouldn't have happened. And with that, we will
- 58:38come back next time on Benders and
- 58:41Brews.
