- 0:34Welcome, Welcome everyone. Yes, welcome.
- 0:36For those that are new welcome and those that have been
- 0:40listening, thank you so much. We see, we see that more people
- 0:44are listening. So that's good.
- 0:46Great. Obviously our goal is not to no,
- 0:49no, no. No, my goal is to conquer the
- 0:52world. Guy that's.
- 0:53That's what. I'm just kidding, dude.
- 0:54I'm out. No, I don't even want it.
- 0:58No Glory to God, but I prefer to be doing something else, no?
- 1:01No, no, no, I, I get what you're saying.
- 1:03I get what you're saying. Yeah.
- 1:05We're, we're doing this for, you know.
- 1:07It is fun though. It is fun.
- 1:09I do I. I have been enjoying it a lot
- 1:10more, I'll be honest. We do get to talk about
- 1:13conversations like we said before that you know, you can't
- 1:16really have them at church because you know, everybody's
- 1:17greeting, meeting and greeting and all that stuff.
- 1:21And usually we can't have those conversations at church.
- 1:24And and if you do like, yeah, it's not the environment for
- 1:28itself. Right, right.
- 1:29Some of the topics can be challenging, so I'm not.
- 1:32Yeah, that's that's it. Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:34Absolutely. You know, So, yeah, that's
- 1:38that's that's that's not it, right?
- 1:42It's not it. Well, it's not it, huh?
- 1:44It's not it. No, like it wouldn't be it for
- 1:46me with this, you know, the podcasting.
- 1:48It's not it. That's what I meant to say.
- 1:50Like this is like something you would have chosen.
- 1:52Or what? Do you mean like what do you?
- 1:54Mean by that, Actually, you know what?
- 1:55Let me let me share a little story.
- 1:59My friends wanted to do something very similar to this,
- 2:02that when I mean not it, it's not mean it for me.
- 2:06But I think I've told it before. I'm not sure.
- 2:09You ready? Maybe we that was a motorcycle
- 2:11by the way, but maybe. Yeah, we briefly.
- 2:16So basically did I say? That maybe you we briefly
- 2:19discussed it, I don't remember. But anyways, I was in a New York
- 2:23guy. I was buying a laptop in New
- 2:25York City and my friend was dropping it off.
- 2:26So we met halfway point Mike, a friend of Mike, his name is
- 2:31Mike, met, came with my other friend and we met.
- 2:35And, you know, besides the fact of that, he brought me the
- 2:40laptop and everything. Then we started talking about
- 2:42like, yo, we should record a podcast, whatever we were going
- 2:45to call it. Like, you know, word is bond and
- 2:47stuff like that. So as you remember, we had, I
- 2:52had like 2 mics, right? Yeah, yeah.
- 2:54Remember, yeah, we were trying to do something, but, you know,
- 2:59it never panned out. They got busy and surely also I
- 3:03got busy. And to me, it was even better
- 3:05because I didn't want to deal with it, right?
- 3:08And so we started writing about the book.
- 3:12And then all of a sudden all this start happening, you know,
- 3:16naturally. And so when I say it's not it
- 3:18for me, meaning like, I just didn't want to.
- 3:20I don't want to be doing this right, Right.
- 3:25But it's fun. No, it is.
- 3:26It's it's. We get to talk about cool
- 3:28things, what in scripture and stuff like that.
- 3:29And so, you know, there are times where we do have scripts
- 3:32that are we, you know, we meditate, we have kind of ready.
- 3:35And then truthfully, some of them the Holy Spirit just puts
- 3:39in our mind and we talk about it.
- 3:40Yeah, you can call it improv, but it's just been really the
- 3:44holy. Spirit.
- 3:45Yeah, exactly. So we are thankful that you know
- 3:49more people are listening and if it ever grows, you know we guys
- 3:55can always keep us accountable in the comments.
- 3:57Yeah, yeah, I'm, I'm always. Really, really, go for it.
- 3:59I don't really care. Yeah, it doesn't bother me.
- 4:01I'm always open to correction. Yeah.
- 4:04But if that correction has to has to make sense, obviously,
- 4:06you know? Yeah.
- 4:07But you know what? Correction.
- 4:10Correction is good. We know when when they can be
- 4:13bad. It's when our emotions are
- 4:15evolved and your own perspective is involved into that
- 4:18correction. Then at that point you're just
- 4:20like. You said something about how the
- 4:24the Father disciplined us. Remember that verse?
- 4:28The Father disciplines us. Yeah, It's Yeah.
- 4:31And Scripture says like God disciplines those who he loves,
- 4:35OK. Yeah, because we're all
- 4:37believers. We we have decided to become
- 4:40slave to righteousness. Yeah, right.
- 4:43That also means there's a certain discipline that goes
- 4:45with that. And the father gives us, he
- 4:48loves us. He's going to discipline us.
- 4:49Yeah, sometimes it's going to, it's going to hurt.
- 4:54They're going to feel like trials, test your character and
- 4:57all that. So interestingly, you actually
- 5:02mentioned a verse in Luke 18. Oh yeah, Luke 18.
- 5:06There was a widow that kept going to this wicked that Christ
- 5:08was pretty much saying a story where like, you know, this widow
- 5:11would keep going to the wicked king for justice and justice and
- 5:14justice. And justice.
- 5:15And it was a king that Christ says he didn't, He did not like
- 5:19humans, like people, and also he did not honour God.
- 5:24And the King knew that too, like himself, because he said it
- 5:27himself, right, Right. But you know, the widow came.
- 5:29He's like, I need justice, I need justice.
- 5:32And then the King's like, you know what?
- 5:33Whatever I I can't with this woman anymore, I'm just going to
- 5:37give him justice. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:38You know, And then that's why Christ says to God, don't stop
- 5:43praying. Pray, pray, pray.
- 5:44Yeah, so right there here, while I'm saying this, can you find
- 5:48the verse which says to pray, pray, pray?
- 5:50Yeah, absolutely. But while, while you're finding
- 5:52that the importance of this goes for me too as well, the
- 5:57importance of prayer, meditating constantly without seizing what
- 6:02Paul says in 2nd Thessalonians. I think that means that as much
- 6:10as we would want justice, we would want do an eye for an eye,
- 6:13if you will, especially in our time.
- 6:14You know, we have lawyers, we have all attorneys.
- 6:17And I'm going to sue you because you did that to me and or no,
- 6:20I'm going to sue you because you did that to me and and so on and
- 6:23so on. And we want an eye for an eye.
- 6:25The world is kind of built that way, right?
- 6:28There are moments where justice does take place for something
- 6:31very wicked that just happened. You know, it could be something
- 6:33very terrible. And the law does it's job.
- 6:36Yeah, but not always the case. So as believers, we also have to
- 6:41give the. The other cheek.
- 6:43Yeah, you know. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:45And that could mean in many different.
- 6:46It doesn't mean like you get hit in the face and then you have to
- 6:49get to the face. Sometimes the situation, you
- 6:52maintain the integrity and you give the other chick and you ask
- 6:56for God to just take justice because you know that it's
- 6:58unfair. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:59But who do we think we are also to want to take justice?
- 7:04Yeah. So if you found it, you can, you
- 7:06can read. Yeah, read that little section.
- 7:07So. It's in Luke chapter 18.
- 7:09Like I'm gonna start verse 1, he says.
- 7:11Now he told them a parable on the need for them to pray always
- 7:16and not give up. There was a judge in a certain
- 7:20town who didn't fear God or respect people.
- 7:24And a widow in the town kept coming to him saying, give me
- 7:28justice against my adversary. For a while he was unwilling,
- 7:34but later he said to himself, Even though I don't fear God or
- 7:38respect people, yet this widow keeps present.
- 7:42Wait, sorry, pestering me, I will give her justice.
- 7:47Sorry. It's just that I highlight my
- 7:49thing Blue. It's sometimes hard.
- 7:51To read so pestering means like annoying.
- 7:53Yes, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 7:54Like keeps. Yeah, yeah.
- 7:55Yeah, keeps coming. Oh my gosh, yeah.
- 7:57So that she don't, so that she doesn't wear me out by hearing
- 8:03persistent by her persistent coming.
- 8:07So he's like, I might as well just do it so she can stop
- 8:09coming, right? Right.
- 8:10Then the Lord said, listen to what the unjust judge says.
- 8:14Will not God granted justice to his elect who cry out to him day
- 8:19and night? Will he delay helping them?
- 8:23I tell you that he will swiftly grant them justice.
- 8:27Nevertheless, when the son of a man comes, will he find faith on
- 8:31earth? That's pretty much it.
- 8:33And then he goes on to the tax collector and the Pharisee.
- 8:37Where does it say to keep praying or?
- 8:39He says here in the beginning verse 1, he says now he told
- 8:45them a parable on the need for them to pray always and not give
- 8:52up. OK, there you go.
- 8:55So as much as we would do an eye for an eye, and as much as we
- 8:59would like to take things into the law, because the law can't
- 9:04give you a response or some results, there's just certain
- 9:09things for believers where you just have to let it go.
- 9:12Yeah, just have to let it go. We may, we may struggle with
- 9:19anger, outbursts of wrath and all these things.
- 9:23Yeah, but you always have to give the other.
- 9:26Cheek. Yeah, you.
- 9:27Know what I mean? And if you believe firmly that
- 9:30you want justice, then pray to God and let him take care of it.
- 9:33Yeah, it is the one who can. Exactly.
- 9:36Can execute that justice. No, not exactly.
- 9:39You know, so that's interesting. You know, I know praying is not
- 9:44something natural to us, especially if you want to kneel
- 9:47down and pray. We'll do it when we're in need,
- 9:51when we find ourselves in a trouble, but we won't do it when
- 9:53it's a moment of comfort, right? When we see moments of
- 9:56abundancy. And I say this for myself, you
- 9:59know, this, this is coming because I've experienced this
- 10:02before. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
- 10:03When we're comfortable and when we have abundance, when we have
- 10:06that, like, you don't want to pray.
- 10:08Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I, you know, you always got
- 10:10to ignore that. Like, Nah, Nah.
- 10:13There's a lot we need to talk about.
- 10:15Yeah, yeah, absolutely. So you, you find prayers so
- 10:20amazing when you're in need, you know?
- 10:22Yeah. It's like your best tool, like
- 10:25your best friend. Yeah, it's.
- 10:27Like the best thing you want to do, but you prayer should be
- 10:30whether if you have abundance or not, there's always something to
- 10:34talk about, you know, So that goes for me.
- 10:38Prayer is important. And especially in our, in the
- 10:41world we live in, man, we're believers.
- 10:43And the world is cruel. It is cruel.
- 10:46We shouldn't expect the world to accommodate us.
- 10:49Yeah. And we are thankful that the
- 10:53world knows about Christianity, gets preached around the world.
- 10:57And yeah, we've gained respect and we've gained honor.
- 11:01But in other areas, they don't have that.
- 11:04It's not everywhere, right? Right.
- 11:06Because the gospel's been spread.
- 11:08Like because nations have made their their independence or
- 11:12constitution based on biblical principles, humans are the ones
- 11:17who have changed. God is still the same.
- 11:19No, I still the same. We've changed because God,
- 11:23Christ came in interrupted. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:25Yeah, at that, at that moment in time.
- 11:27Exactly 100%. Everything changed.
- 11:30What? In what way that now the whole
- 11:34you, you whole continent of Europe, like literally the whole
- 11:36country of Sudan is Christian. Yeah.
- 11:38Literally the whole country, yeah.
- 11:40Yeah. And just the world has
- 11:43experienced this message and the laws and constitutions have been
- 11:49inspired by that. So we do live in a world where
- 11:54we can be respected and there, but we can never depend on that.
- 11:58The world is cruel. Yeah, they're.
- 12:00Never. They're never going to
- 12:01accommodate to us. No.
- 12:03There's going to be a time where they're going to go against us.
- 12:07Yeah, absolutely. And there's believers in China
- 12:10who want to serve God freely, but they do it hiding in secret
- 12:13because you know what I mean? So the world is cruel and it's
- 12:17OK. Yeah.
- 12:18You're gonna get smacked in the face.
- 12:19You're gonna get spit in the face.
- 12:20Maybe not literally, but figuratively speaking, that's
- 12:23gonna happen. Right, right, right.
- 12:25And you believe that's not fair? Yeah.
- 12:26It's not fair, right? That's that's unjust.
- 12:30Yeah. It is.
- 12:32It is unjust, yeah, Yes, 'cause we'll never meet eye to eye.
- 12:35Ever. Ever.
- 12:36Even if you want to, we'll never meet eye.
- 12:38To eye and politicians can say, yeah, we are on the Christian
- 12:41side, but in the end they have their own agenda.
- 12:43Yeah, they have their own agenda.
- 12:44Exactly. Exactly.
- 12:46Yeah. You know, so like the world is
- 12:48cruel, the world is unpredictable, but there's one
- 12:51thing that's super knowable and it's that we abide on under God.
- 12:58We are involved with him. We are not his children and,
- 13:02and, and because of that in such a way, he won't allow us to
- 13:06boast. Who are we to boast, right?
- 13:09We're his children. He's going to discipline us
- 13:11accordingly. And since we are this light
- 13:15insult to the world, people are not going to want that exposure.
- 13:18Exposure or seasoning, right? Not going to want it.
- 13:22No, no, no. That's fine.
- 13:24Yeah, you know what I mean. Exactly.
- 13:26Exactly. If whoever's listening, you're
- 13:28finding you. You're finding yourself that you
- 13:30want just because it's not fair how this person is treating me
- 13:33or how that person is treating me or whatever they may be, or
- 13:36you're or you're anticipating some outbursts of wrath from
- 13:39some future. How are you going to just cut
- 13:42the person off because you're anticipating a potential
- 13:45outburst of wrath? No, you have to always give the
- 13:48other chick. It's hard.
- 13:49I know it's not easy. I mean, yeah, yeah, it happens
- 13:51to me all the time. Yeah, absolutely.
- 13:53You know what I mean? I'm saying I just want to give
- 13:57people perspective. We are believers, meaning we're
- 14:00now a slave to righteousness. Yeah, absolutely.
- 14:03We're not no longer on under the bondage of sin, right?
- 14:07But we're not exempt from sin, Amen.
- 14:10We're not exempt from that, nor are we exempt from being wicked,
- 14:14right? Yeah, exactly.
- 14:16Exactly. Yeah, because we're still
- 14:18wicked. Yeah, but because we've decided
- 14:20to trust in God and believe in Him, we're under.
- 14:24We're under him. We're above Scripture.
- 14:26Yeah. Now that means Scripture is now
- 14:28our foundation. Yes, under our feet and we're
- 14:31under the light of Christ. But that doesn't mean we can
- 14:35boast. That doesn't mean we can do
- 14:36whatever we want. Yes, we are royalty, but that
- 14:38doesn't mean we behave like this spoiled brat from a king.
- 14:41No, because we're royalty, we need to act as so.
- 14:45Exactly. I mean.
- 14:46No, no, no 100%. I agree.
- 14:48We got involved in this then, you know, like when you come to
- 14:53God, guess what? Now you're part of his army, his
- 14:56Kingdom, everything. Domain is domain.
- 14:58Yeah, exactly. You entered his domain.
- 15:02So don't be looking at the person in the world that doesn't
- 15:05believe in God. Like all this person doesn't get
- 15:08correction, discipline, all this.
- 15:09No, no, no, no. God will do what he has to do to
- 15:12him. You are in the domain of God, so
- 15:15he will do what he he wants to. There's other things too, like
- 15:18in this world, things are unfair.
- 15:20Yeah. People can have questions like,
- 15:23well, if, if, if God is such a good guy, why do these things
- 15:25happen in the world? First of all, we make these
- 15:27things happen in the world. We're the one investing in
- 15:30technology. He's never once have told us to
- 15:32advance in technology. We're doing that to ourselves.
- 15:35Right, right, right. So why would you, why would he
- 15:38have to get involved on? We've done this, Yeah.
- 15:41These are our own consequences. Correct.
- 15:43Correct. OK, Humanity has a reality check
- 15:46by nature itself. Look what happened in Nepal.
- 15:48Nepal, huge avalanche rock just came off and fell onto the
- 15:53ground. And yeah, yeah, scientists were
- 15:55confused because they thought it was an earthquake, but it was
- 15:57just a rock. Falling.
- 15:59Yeah, right. Crazy.
- 16:00Look what just happened out of nowhere.
- 16:03Nature itself gives humanity a reality check.
- 16:05God doesn't have to do anything, right?
- 16:07Everything's already done by design.
- 16:09Yes, exactly. Do you know what I'm saying?
- 16:10And that's unfortunate that Adam and Eve had to get kicked out
- 16:14and now experience this, what we call dying and having the
- 16:19ability of of having the knowledge of good and bad and
- 16:22not know how to wield it. Exactly.
- 16:25Right, that's the fallen state. That's.
- 16:28What it is, that's what we're in, yeah.
- 16:29That's what it is, yeah. So as much as nature gives
- 16:32humanity a reality check, we ourselves give ourselves a
- 16:35reality check how vulnerable we are.
- 16:37We create all these massive structures and infrastructures
- 16:41of electricity and everything, and it destroys us as well.
- 16:46Yeah, absolutely. We're the ones destroying
- 16:49ourselves. And then on top of that, if
- 16:50you're a believer, God is going to give you a reality check too.
- 16:53A. 100%. Is he not allowed to?
- 16:56He's your father. Yeah, and you're a slave to
- 16:58righteousness. So that's why if pray to him,
- 17:02he's your father, he will take justice.
- 17:04Yeah, he'll take justice. To him that he will, but you
- 17:07know, there's a persistency that has to go on.
- 17:09Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 17:11So do you have any thoughts for that?
- 17:14No, no, no. It's just, if you're in God's
- 17:16domain, I just just understand that God disciplines those who
- 17:20he loves. Remember that, those who he
- 17:24loves. And don't be comparing yourself
- 17:27to to the world. Always keep in mind that the
- 17:31rain falls on the just and the unjust, on the rich and the
- 17:34poor. You know that's the world we
- 17:37live in. But if you've entered God's
- 17:40domain, it's different. It's different.
- 17:42Don't be comparing yourself to those of the world.
- 17:43Either. Yeah, so it's pretty magic.
- 17:46It's pretty much it, huh? Yeah, this is it.
- 17:49This is good. So keep in mind guys, if you
- 17:53want justice, if you think that the world has been quite cruel
- 17:58to you and somewhat injustice have been displayed in your
- 18:04life, go to God. Yes.
- 18:08He'll take care of it. Amen.
- 18:09And be persistent in that. Not just in that, but be
- 18:12persistent in prayer and all things.
- 18:15Yes, he's. Your father, he'll listen to
- 18:17you. Yeah.
- 18:18You know what I mean? Absolutely.
- 18:19He's never abandoned anyone. Nope in any.
- 18:22Way, shape or form, he's always there.
- 18:24He recognizes it because we recognize his son, and that is
- 18:27his will. The Father's will is that those
- 18:32get to believe in Him who he sent.
- 18:34Yes. Amen.
- 18:36Amen. So that's what we got for well,
- 18:39for this time, this episode that I know it's short, but although
- 18:44it is short, also remember that it is important that Christ is
- 18:51letting in Luke 18, letting his disciples known, the people
- 18:55there, the importance of being consistent and persistent.
- 18:59Yeah, in prayer not to give up. Don't give up, right?
- 19:03Why does he say don't give up? Because there's going to be a
- 19:05sense of waiting. That's fine, yeah. 100% is going
- 19:10to be a sense of waiting. Yeah, right.
- 19:11That builds character. That means waiting is not easy.
- 19:15That's teaching you patience. That means that God's way is
- 19:19hard. But it's simple.
- 19:20Yeah. All these things, right?
- 19:22Right. Why do you have to kneel down
- 19:25and pray to God? Because you can never boast all
- 19:27these things. Why do you have to do that?
- 19:30Because although we might have morality, in the end, we're
- 19:32selfish. Yeah, 100% all these.
- 19:36Things we need to be OK with that.
- 19:39Yes. So wait.
- 19:40Hold on, don't just give. Up.
- 19:44Amen. All right.
- 19:45So do you want to close it off with a frig?
- 19:48Go for it. Yeah, absolutely.
- 19:50Lord, thank you so much for allowing us to read Your word,
- 19:54guide us and lead us always into the absolute truth.
- 19:58And you are the true, just God. You are the true living God and
- 20:02we come to you, Oh Lord, for you know we are, we live in this
