- 2:55is currently underway at Newton Wellesley Hospital
- 2:59following the diagnosis of brain tumors in five
- 3:02nurses working on the fifth floor maternity unit.
- 3:05All tumors were found to be benign. The hospital
- 3:09has interviewed 11 staff members since April

- 3:18with various safety departments and external
- 3:21consultants. conducting environmental assessments,
- 3:24which reportedly found no risks linked to brain
- 3:27tumor development. However, the Massachusetts
- 3:30Nurses Association expressed concerns about the
- 3:34thoroughness of the hospital's environmental
- 3:36testing. A town hall meeting is planned for next
- 3:40week. Now on to sports. This season, the National
- 3:50Football League will introduce Sony's Hawkeye
- 3:52cameras to track ball position, replacing the
- 3:55manual method used for decades. These 8K cameras
- 4:00will utilize virtual measurement technology to
- 4:03quickly determine if the ball has traveled the
- 4:05required 10 yards for a first down. The system
- 4:09comprises six cameras that create a digital recreation
- 4:12of the measurement, which will be displayed in
- 4:15stadiums and on television. While measuring with
- 4:18the Hawkeye system takes around 30 seconds, significantly
- 4:22faster than the chain crew's time, the crew will
- 4:25still be present on the field in a secondary
- 4:27role. In local sports, yesterday afternoon in
- 4:32Baltimore, the Red Sox bested the Orioles 8 -4.
- 4:37Bregman, Campbell, and Cassis each smacked two
- 4:41-run homers, highlighting the Sox's explosive
- 4:44offense. Kelly snagged the win, while Morton
- 4:49took the loss for Baltimore. The Sox's dominant

- 5:13off against the Sox's Walker Bueller. Last night,

- 5:21Despite Elias Lindholm's late goal, the Bees
- 5:25couldn't overcome Montreal's dominant attack.
- 5:28Brendan Gallagher and Nick Suzuki each tallied
- 5:32a goal and an assist. The Bruins are now 30 -37
- 5:37-9, lagging behind in the standings. Tomorrow

- 6:21three individuals have tragically died from Hantavirus,
- 6:25the same virus that claimed the life of Gene
- 6:28Hackman's wife, Betsy Arakawa. Health officials
- 6:32reported these unusual cases as fewer than 100
- 6:36California residents have been diagnosed since
- 6:391980. The recent deaths involving a young adult
- 6:43occurred despite no evidence of mouse activity
- 6:46in their homes. Investigators noted a potential
- 6:50deer mouse population boom could be contributing
- 6:53to these infections. Public health officials
- 6:56urged residents to take precautions, such as
- 6:59trapping rodents and properly storing food, to
- 7:02prevent further cases. In business news… Global
- 7:08economies are bracing for a potential flood of
- 7:11cheap Chinese goods as President Donald Trump's
- 7:14tariffs threaten to reshape trade dynamics. Starting
- 7:19April 9th, Chinese imports will face tariffs
- 7:22averaging around 70%. This move could drive up
- 7:26prices for various products in the United States,
- 7:29including electronics and toys. Economists warn
- 7:33that this could worsen the ongoing China shock.
- 7:36diverting U .S.-bound exports to an already saturated
- 7:40global market. With retaliatory measures likely,
- 7:44the situation underscores how quickly trade wars
- 7:46can escalate, leaving other countries struggling
- 7:49to absorb the excess manufacturing capacity from
- 7:52China. In crypto movement, Bitcoin is up 0 .5
- 7:57% for the week to just over $83 ,000. Ethereum
- 8:03is unchanged. at just over $1 ,800. And Goatseys
- 8:08Maximus is down half a percent to $0 .04. Moving
- 8:13on to a more local vibe. In our community spotlight

- 8:57now, back to the show. Let's talk science. A
- 9:02groundbreaking new superalloy designed from copper
- 9:05and tantalum with added lithium can endure temperatures
- 9:09up to 800 degrees Celsius, which is 1400 degrees
- 9:13Fahrenheit. This innovative material not only
- 9:17withstands extreme heat, but also boasts a remarkable
- 9:20yield strength of 1 ,120 megapascals, surpassing
- 9:26traditional copper alloys. Researchers from several
- 9:30U .S. universities and the U .S. Army Research
- 9:33Laboratory developed this alloy, which mimics
- 9:36the strengthening mechanisms of nickel -based
- 9:38superalloys. This advancement may lead to more
- 9:42durable materials for various sectors, including
- 9:45aerospace and military applications. And in entertainment
- 9:52news… David Fincher is set to direct a sequel
- 9:56to Quentin Tarantino's 2019 film titled Twice
- 10:01Upon a Time in Hollywood. This project, which
- 10:04will debut on Netflix, is based on a script written
- 10:08by Tarantino. Brad Pitt is expected to reprise
- 10:12his Oscar -winning role as Cliff Booth, while
- 10:15Leonardo DiCaprio's return has not yet been confirmed.
- 10:20Notably, this sequel does not count toward Tarantino's
- 10:23self -imposed limit of 10 films. The rights to
- 10:28the original film belong to Sony, allowing Tarantino
- 10:31to create a new movie with the same characters.
- 10:34The casting is anticipated to be as impressive
- 10:37as the original. Well, alrighty folks, it's time
- 10:42for the quote of the day. And today... Our quote
- 10:46comes from the American military leader and statesman
- 10:49Colin Powell. And he said, perpetual optimism
- 10:55is a force multiplier. And that's a wrap for
