- 0:21Speaker 1: and we're going to talk about that. Somebody's turning big
- 0:25Speaker 1: twenty first birthday today. Let's see what else mostly claudy today.
- 0:30Speaker 1: High is in the mid seventies. I mean fine, like,
- 0:33Speaker 1: we'll take it. My mother kept calling me with the
- 0:36Speaker 1: power going out. I mean she's in Atlanta where it's
- 0:38Speaker 1: not as bitterly cold, but it's still a mess everywhere
- 0:41Speaker 1: in the country. And I feel like, now's when you
- 0:44Speaker 1: you don't really tell people where you live, okay, because
- 0:48Speaker 1: they get upset with you.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Oh you like, we don't tell people that we're yeah, yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 2: Like do you rub it in the mid seventies?
- 0:56Speaker 1: Do you rub that into people? Like last couple of weeks,
- 0:59Speaker 1: do you rub that in to people? I don't know
- 1:01Speaker 1: that that makes friends if you rub it in, all right,
- 1:05Speaker 1: what are we gonna do? We're gonna pay your bills.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I've got these not Sperry Farm tickets all morning long.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I slep pretty well. I put my phone in the
- 1:12Speaker 1: bathroom last night, and I think that was a good idea.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I was uncertain of the time all night. But when
- 1:18Speaker 1: I did a walk by to go to the bathroom,
- 1:20Speaker 1: I quickly looked down and glanced. It was like two twenty, Like, oh,
- 1:23Speaker 1: this is great twenty. I got nothing but time on
- 1:26Speaker 1: my side. Go hug your pillow right every night you
- 1:28Speaker 1: get up and go potty. I don't say it like that,
- 1:31Speaker 1: but yeah I do.
- 1:34Speaker 2: That is wild.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You mean like you know he does and he stubs
- 1:38Speaker 1: his toe.
- 1:38Speaker 3: And that's why I got on the lights to go
- 1:40Speaker 3: to the bathroom so it doesn't stub his toe.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Last night I tripped over my ugs. You luck I
- 1:45Speaker 1: didn't twist anything.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Get him a shoe rack now, Tanya, Yeah, I want to.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Make a note closets by Tanya. All right, what like,
- 1:56Speaker 1: what are you here for this morning? Can I tell
- 1:57Speaker 1: you the opening lines that dude send to Mikayla on
- 2:01Speaker 1: dating apps is so worth being here today. It's going
- 2:05Speaker 1: to be happened after seven o'clock seven twenty if you
- 2:07Speaker 1: want to plan around it. But this is good for
- 2:09Speaker 1: guys to hear what she is turned to like turn
- 2:14Speaker 1: not into off of bike, what she's dealing with. Yeah,
- 2:17Speaker 1: to hear what she's dealing with, for guys to not
- 2:18Speaker 1: use the lines or lines like it, and what she's
- 2:20Speaker 1: dealing with. It's all for everybody. And if you're in
- 2:23Speaker 1: a relationship, lucky, you want to hear this too. You
- 2:25Speaker 1: feel good about yourself. Good morning, Ruby, step up to
- 2:28Speaker 1: the mic here for a second. I think this is interesting.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You were given a gift certificate and then you need
- 2:34Speaker 1: to get a gift for somebody else, and you're wondering,
- 2:37Speaker 1: is it okay to use a gift certificate to get
- 2:41Speaker 1: a gift for someone? Correct?
- 2:42Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, I got a gift card, a Sephora gift
- 2:44Speaker 4: card actually during our kiss why Elephant exchange from Chewey
- 2:49Speaker 4: and me and my sister share a birthday week, so
- 2:51Speaker 4: last week I was like, Oh, I need to get
- 2:53Speaker 4: her something. I was on the Sephora website going to
- 2:56Speaker 4: buy her something, but then I kind of paused, and
- 2:59Speaker 4: I I was just curious, is it okay to buy
- 3:02Speaker 4: a gift for someone in this case my sister with
- 3:05Speaker 4: a gift card?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Yes? You think so?
- 3:07Speaker 2: And it's money, money, money. We're gonna just spend your
- 3:10Speaker 2: own money.
- 3:11Speaker 4: I found guilty though I didn't end up doing it,
- 3:13Speaker 4: but I was like, is it wrong?
- 3:14Speaker 1: But do why carry guilt on that? Like many other
- 3:17Speaker 1: things to carry guilt about, that's not one of them.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I mean, look the fact that it was a gift
- 3:21Speaker 1: from us. Okay, maybe talking about it with us. Oh
- 3:25Speaker 1: and it was Chee White, I'll think gift. Yeah, I
- 3:29Speaker 1: don't think you think twice about this. You don't even
- 3:31Speaker 1: tell her it was a gift that you got from
- 3:34Speaker 1: kiss to give to her. But there's no guilt to
- 3:37Speaker 1: be carried with that. I just am all for not
- 3:39Speaker 1: carrying guilt on things. You're doing something nice, you're doing
- 3:42Speaker 1: something awful. We need to stop overthinking stuff like that.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I guess you're right. Yeah, all right, And it's dope.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I mean, it's credit, it's money, it's the same. He's
- 3:52Speaker 1: the equivalent. Happy birthday to your sister. Thanks, I'll let
- 3:56Speaker 1: her know anybody else. We're good. Kiss, Ryan Seacrest. Here
- 4:02Speaker 1: a quote of the day. I know I like quotes,
- 4:05Speaker 1: I find them interesting. I like I like speeches, like
- 4:10Speaker 1: what do you call motivational speeches or pep talks from
- 4:14Speaker 1: a coach right, Like I actually was saying about something
- 4:17Speaker 1: when I was watching the Rams play. Wouldn't it be
- 4:19Speaker 1: great to go down and watch the Rams practice? Can
- 4:21Speaker 1: we do that?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yes, you came with the Chargers.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Well, well let's do it. I want to hear the
- 4:26Speaker 1: coaches motivational speeches to the contests, to the contestants, to
- 4:29Speaker 1: the players. Now, Marlene and Lahabra, good morning. How are you?
- 4:35Speaker 1: And Lahabra?
- 4:36Speaker 2: All right?
- 4:37Speaker 1: You I'm good. Thanks? Now can we help you?
- 4:40Speaker 6: Yes? I just want to let you know that the
- 4:42Speaker 6: quotes of the day have been very inspiring and your
- 4:47Speaker 6: words are very positive and it gives a lot of
- 4:51Speaker 6: thought to a person as to like what you're trying
- 4:54Speaker 6: to say. So you dig deep within yourself to see
- 4:56Speaker 6: exactly how it affects and flex on our life because
- 5:02Speaker 6: everything that you say it does you know a lot
- 5:07Speaker 6: of people in different ways.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I think thank you for that. You know, we we
- 5:10Speaker 1: get time to submit some we search Instagram, TikTok, quote
- 5:13Speaker 1: books and mean they come from all different places, but
- 5:15Speaker 1: sometimes this simplicity of a quote can help you with
- 5:20Speaker 1: a complicated feeling in life. That's what I've found personally.
- 5:25Speaker 6: Yes, I relate to a lot of things that you say,
- 5:26Speaker 6: and some of them are inspiring for the day, or
- 5:29Speaker 6: you know, just things that we're going through life that
- 5:32Speaker 6: you know that we're not alone, that somebody else understands us.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Ye, well, I have another one. I'll share. I'll share
- 5:40Speaker 1: today's twice. I'll tell you what we're going to do today. Today,
- 5:42Speaker 1: it's going to be. You can't wait until life isn't
- 5:47Speaker 1: hard anymore before you decide to be happy. So don't
- 5:50Speaker 1: compartmentalize happiness with getting through things, right, You've got to
- 5:55Speaker 1: just happy our time here. It's hard, yeah, but our
- 6:00Speaker 1: time here has a number on it. And so to
- 6:03Speaker 1: choose to not be this. I can't do this all
- 6:05Speaker 1: the time either, but to choose to not be happy,
- 6:07Speaker 1: we're just hurting our own selves.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Right.
- 6:10Speaker 1: We do have a choice for stuff, like every time
- 6:12Speaker 1: you complain about something. Not always, but many times you
- 6:16Speaker 1: do have a choice. It's not a choice you want
- 6:18Speaker 1: to make, but you do have a choice to not
- 6:20Speaker 1: have that choice in your life. And sometimes you got
- 6:23Speaker 1: to just face it and move on right, cut your losses.
- 6:28Speaker 6: Sometimes it's easier said than done.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Always easier said than done. That's why I cannot act
- 6:33Speaker 1: on any of the advice I ever give in relationships
- 6:36Speaker 1: on this show in my real life, I'm not good
- 6:39Speaker 1: at that. I'm good at telling Sisney Tanian's Noveia what
- 6:42Speaker 1: I think, but I'm not good at telling myself a Marlene,
- 6:44Speaker 1: thank you for listening.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 6:47Speaker 1: You take good care. All right, that's the quote. We'll
- 6:49Speaker 1: do it again in a few minutes here on kiss.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Here we go quote of the day, which you may
- 6:52Speaker 1: have already heard. Now, listen to this stress. So I
- 6:57Speaker 1: was reading that doctors are saying, given the choice between exercise, nutrition,
- 7:02Speaker 1: and sleep, what would be most important to focus on sleep?
- 7:06Speaker 1: You're saying sleep. Now, all of it's important, but they
- 7:08Speaker 1: had to pick one. Sleep is the one a lot
- 7:11Speaker 1: of doctors choose. And stress is a major factor in
- 7:16Speaker 1: lifespan and in happiness and all those things. So sleep
- 7:20Speaker 1: can reduce stress. And stress is also a major factor
- 7:24Speaker 1: for heart disease. This is a common thing now. They
- 7:28Speaker 1: say that if you do this, you can and I
- 7:34Speaker 1: do this quite a bit. If you do this, you
- 7:36Speaker 1: could cut your risk of heart disease by thirty five percent.
- 7:40Speaker 1: And that is cry, just cry a little bit more.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Wow, problem Yeah.
- 7:47Speaker 1: People who cry when they're upset have constantly lower levels
- 7:50Speaker 1: of heart disease. Ooh, that's interesting. I guess they get
- 7:54Speaker 1: it all out.
- 7:54Speaker 2: No, but cry when they're upset. So does happy crime
- 7:57Speaker 2: not count?
- 7:59Speaker 1: I don't know. Is going to cry irrigate everything and
- 8:01Speaker 1: hopefully the stress goes down and so does the risk
- 8:03Speaker 1: of heart disease. You're quote today. Listen to this, Tobs. Listen.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You cannot wait until life isn't hard anymore before you
- 8:12Speaker 1: decide to be happy. That's good. Isn't that good?
- 8:16Speaker 6: So good?
- 8:17Speaker 1: All right? Raven Lenay there, all right, this is good.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Mikayla in the back room, she's on all the dating apps,
- 8:22Speaker 1: and these guys the things, the opening lines they say
- 8:25Speaker 1: to her. I think she's gonna read them to us
- 8:27Speaker 1: and we're gonna give our opinion. But there's a lot
- 8:31Speaker 1: that maybe shouldn't be said. Fort Sysney with the headline
- 8:35Speaker 1: FM Headlines with siciny Well, the chair of.
- 8:37Speaker 2: The National Transportation Safety Board, express concerns over the possibility
- 8:42Speaker 2: of next mid air collision happening at Burbank Airport due
- 8:46Speaker 2: to the amount of air traffic. Governor news The announced
- 8:49Speaker 2: that California will investigate whether TikTok violated state law by
- 8:54Speaker 2: censoring content critical of the president. Amazon is closing all
- 8:58Speaker 2: of it's Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh grocery stores while
- 9:02Speaker 2: ramping up online grocery delivery and opening new Whole Foods locations,
- 9:08Speaker 2: and Stephen Colbert revealed that The Late Show will air
- 9:11Speaker 2: its final episode on May twenty first, after eleven years
- 9:16Speaker 2: on CBS.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Kiss that's the weekend, dochie, playboy CARTI happy twenty one, Sophia,
- 9:24Speaker 1: our intern. Congratulations, you did it, you made it. How
- 9:28Speaker 1: is it turning twenty one at a time when people
- 9:31Speaker 1: don't drink that much anymore? I don't know what people,
- 9:34Speaker 1: because it's not gonna be me. That's good, break them old?
- 9:39Speaker 7: Uh?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Yes, born in five, one year into this show, she
- 9:42Speaker 1: was born. Now what you're are you celebrating tonight? You're
- 9:46Speaker 1: going out with friends a Skeletor. What's the plan?
- 9:48Speaker 5: Yes?
- 9:49Speaker 8: So, actually, me and Skeletor we went out last night
- 9:52Speaker 8: when it hit midnight, we went in, we got drink,
- 9:55Speaker 8: and then tonight it's going to be the night when
- 9:57Speaker 8: me and all my girls go out and get more drinks.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Okay, good out. Your question is how do you pick
- 10:01Speaker 1: a drink? That doesn't make you look like a non pro.
- 10:04Speaker 8: Yes, because this entire time I've I'm so used to
- 10:08Speaker 8: buzzballs and beat boxes in college. Yeah, and now that
- 10:12Speaker 8: I'm going to the bars, I don't want to sound
- 10:14Speaker 8: like like a kid.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Being like.
- 10:18Speaker 1: A buzzbeat What's what? What are those like?
- 10:23Speaker 2: This little ball of a buzz that you drink that
- 10:26Speaker 2: you're gonna be buying?
- 10:27Speaker 6: And that's it.
- 10:27Speaker 1: You've seen one? Yeah, just one, and it's like a
- 10:29Speaker 1: neon bright to midnight having buzzballs on a Tuesday and
- 10:34Speaker 1: made it in But well done. Oh the buzzball in
- 10:36Speaker 1: the can I know it? Yes, you do, all right,
- 10:39Speaker 1: so listen. I had to tell you that most people
- 10:44Speaker 1: smile when they make or see someone having a margarita. Oh,
- 10:49Speaker 1: a margarita is a great go to. I do ten
- 10:52Speaker 1: half ten half do the rink. Oh you know what,
- 10:54Speaker 1: that's a good that's a good tip. If you do margarita,
- 10:58Speaker 1: ask for the rim to be half salt or half
- 11:00Speaker 1: to heene. That makes it seem like you've done it before.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Oh no, sugar, well the sugar.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Don't knock the sugar. I tried sugar on the rim
- 11:09Speaker 2: the other day to margarita and I was so surprised
- 11:11Speaker 2: that I've never tried that before in all my years.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what it is. It doesn't matter what
- 11:16Speaker 1: it is. Just half rim makes you seem like you've
- 11:19Speaker 1: you've been down that lane. Yeah, it's like an extra
- 11:21Speaker 1: step that like makes you look cool. I tell you,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm late on this, but this espresso martini christ I
- 11:28Speaker 1: am into it. Yeah that's good. But that has like
- 11:30Speaker 1: the most like calories or something kinny espresso margarita or
- 11:36Speaker 1: that I do it tequila espresso and a tear drop
- 11:40Speaker 1: of a Govig. I'm giving you buzzwords. I'm giving you
- 11:45Speaker 1: buzz word. It's very drunk. Yeah, and you know, like
- 11:50Speaker 1: I'm tired by the time you have this thing, and
- 11:52Speaker 1: that helps me. Yeah, so sofi. Just two things to
- 11:55Speaker 1: think about when you order your margarita half rim, and
- 11:58Speaker 1: if you order anything with sweetness in it, ask for
- 12:01Speaker 1: a tear drop of it. That's gonna sound sounds like
- 12:03Speaker 1: you know what you're doing. You got this. Oh gosh,
- 12:07Speaker 1: Now would you like for to go with you tonight?
- 12:10Speaker 1: I think so. I volunteer myself. But man, happy twenty
- 12:16Speaker 1: first birthday. This is kiss up fly Baling Orange County. Next.
- 12:19Speaker 1: All right, let's go MICHAELA. You know I got up
- 12:23Speaker 1: early knowing this segment was coming today.
- 12:25Speaker 5: I love it.
- 12:26Speaker 1: There's so much to glean for guys and girls. Here
- 12:29Speaker 1: for men and women. So she's on the dating apps.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Let's go through the four most recent opening lines.
- 12:34Speaker 5: Go ahead, Okay, first one, Hey there, hope all is well,
- 12:37Speaker 5: Happy New Year. If you're down to chat, give me
- 12:40Speaker 5: a buzz. I like it.
- 12:42Speaker 1: It's not super creative, but chat and buzz chat and
- 12:45Speaker 1: give me a buzz are cool. Like that's that's relaxed.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I haven't heard buzz give me a buzz. Oh yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 1: But I don't know if I'm feeling this guy for you.
- 12:55Speaker 1: That's what I thought, Ruby, What you mean the vibes,
- 12:57Speaker 1: the look of the guy? You don't like the look?
- 12:58Speaker 1: I just feel like it's not her who's looking for
- 13:01Speaker 1: looks these days.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I mean, you have to have a little bit of
- 13:05Speaker 2: a connection in all areas.
- 13:07Speaker 1: All right, what's the next one?
- 13:08Speaker 5: Okay, number?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Definitely not this look. I can tell this one's not
- 13:12Speaker 1: the look. I mean his pickup line wasn't it either.
- 13:16Speaker 5: How does this sound me? You dinner? I pay? Then
- 13:20Speaker 5: you tell your friends about the guy who had killer
- 13:22Speaker 5: eye contact and definite mom issues.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Wait block him.
- 13:30Speaker 2: To take sure like it's like a half smile. What's happening?
- 13:33Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It starts so good me you dinner? Yeah, perfect, Then
- 13:38Speaker 1: it just goes downhill. I pay. Then tell your friends
- 13:41Speaker 1: about Okay, he's out. Number three. These are pickup lines
- 13:46Speaker 1: that are like, literally legit just coming in to her
- 13:49Speaker 1: hinge good. Okay.
- 13:50Speaker 5: I was going to come up with a clever pickup line,
- 13:52Speaker 5: but then I got lost in your eyes.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Totally your fault.
- 13:55Speaker 5: Now you need to message me back.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Cute, Now you need to message me back.
- 14:01Speaker 1: It has it has traits of cuteness. But also.
- 14:06Speaker 2: So I don't know, there's there's always at least one
- 14:09Speaker 2: guy that comments on your eyes, MICHAELA, because you do
- 14:11Speaker 2: have really beautiful eyes, and so I do like that
- 14:14Speaker 2: when they notice it.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Okay, so now one more here.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Okay, look, I'm a solid five, but I'm funny and
- 14:21Speaker 5: have a great personality. Plus I cook, so that basically
- 14:24Speaker 5: makes me a ten guy for us.
- 14:27Speaker 1: That's the one for us.
- 14:28Speaker 6: With them.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I like his hat too.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I like it it comes in sane. He's a five
- 14:32Speaker 1: nothing but upside Yeah, this is good. That was that
- 14:35Speaker 1: was my favorite out of the four. And he's got
- 14:37Speaker 1: that chest tattoo.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Okay, message him tattoo tattoos.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I know a chest tattoo five and change.
- 14:47Speaker 2: You need to see the rest of that.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Tatt Yeah, that thing goes down the ap might even
- 14:53Speaker 1: go to the I don't know the so As area.
- 14:58Speaker 2: God, it's so good.
- 15:01Speaker 1: There's my vote right there. Yeah, hit him back right now.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I'll cover his face. But there's my vote right there
- 15:06Speaker 1: in that one. I was fun. We'll do it again.

- 15:33Speaker 1: and that's Berry Farm and ride the rides. I'm so
- 15:38Speaker 1: used the saying tickets free to go see insert name.
- 15:40Speaker 1: But you'll see people and you'll see rids. Okay, lots
- 15:43Speaker 1: of people, lots of people. Now it's their Peanuts celebration
- 15:46Speaker 1: and here it is. I'm going to give you two stores, restaurants,
- 15:51Speaker 1: clothing stores, coffee shops. Whatever. You tell me, which one
- 15:54Speaker 1: has more locations in the state of California, Okay, one
- 15:58Speaker 1: or the other? Which is market? So you gotta get
- 16:01Speaker 1: three right before you get three wrong. That's how we're
- 16:03Speaker 1: gonna score this. First one, Hey is Alta or Sephora?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Who has more stores in California? Yeah, two hundred and
- 16:14Speaker 1: twenty three, All right, Next one, Pete's Coffee or Coffee

- 16:33Speaker 1: it's a difference to Sinny. Yeah, okay, now here we go.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Here we go Denny's or I Hop who has more
- 16:40Speaker 1: stores in California?
- 16:42Speaker 10: Oh gosh, Oh, I'm gonna go with Denny's.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Yeah, well done, Denny's had. Denny's has three hundred and
- 16:53Speaker 1: sixty three I hop two hundred and thirty for the wind, Yes,
- 16:57Speaker 1: for the wind. Are there more old Navies or gaps
- 17:02Speaker 1: in California?
- 17:03Speaker 10: Old Navy?
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yes, by a lot, one hundred and eighteen to the
- 17:07Speaker 1: gap fifty eight. You are going to knots Berry Farm
- 17:10Speaker 1: to celebrate their Peanuts celebration one block. Thank you you guys,
- 17:15Speaker 1: thank you for listening to Kiss FM. We love your energy.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Amian rich Kukumanga, Oh, thank you so much. You got it.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Have day wars here. Well, you are going to make
- 17:27Speaker 1: us have a great deal.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Let me honor with Ryan Seacrest.
- 17:32Speaker 1: So, good morning, Nicole, It's Ryan. How are you hi?
- 17:36Speaker 10: I'm good?
- 17:37Speaker 1: All right. So your fiance doesn't want to move in
- 17:40Speaker 1: together after you get married?
- 17:43Speaker 10: Yeah, so what you're getting married in August?
- 17:46Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 17:48Speaker 10: And so I own a house in Norwalk, he owns
- 17:50Speaker 10: one in Linwood. So naturally I assume that we would
- 17:53Speaker 10: sell one this summer and then move in together, because
- 17:57Speaker 10: like that's what married people do. So I brought it
- 18:02Speaker 10: up and then he said we should keep both.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I think i'd want to live with the person I'm marrying,
- 18:11Speaker 1: step right.
- 18:12Speaker 10: Well, at first I thought like it sounded a little
- 18:14Speaker 10: bit practical. We both have really low interest rates, and
- 18:17Speaker 10: so he said we'd be kind of nuts to sell
- 18:19Speaker 10: right now, and so like fine, I get that. And
- 18:22Speaker 10: so then I said, what's your plan? Do you want
- 18:24Speaker 10: to rent one out?
- 18:26Speaker 1: And he said no, Okay, Well that's the problem here again.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I understand the practical economics of it, but I just
- 18:34Speaker 1: think that I don't know. If the person I'm going
- 18:38Speaker 1: to marry doesn't want to like be with me right away,
- 18:41Speaker 1: I feel like that's a bad first step unless.
- 18:43Speaker 2: It's a different situation, like if you guys have kids
- 18:46Speaker 2: and they have to finish school in their cities, then
- 18:49Speaker 2: I could see that making sense for those couple of years.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It's hard. Can you wait to get married?
- 18:56Speaker 10: Well, I mean we're supposed to get married in August.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Oh that's already next year.
- 19:04Speaker 2: What's that gonna do.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I just think once you get married, you're not living
- 19:06Speaker 1: together could cause problems. Maybe being engaged in trying this
- 19:10Speaker 1: is better.
- 19:12Speaker 10: Yeah, I don't know. I mean he kind of just
- 19:14Speaker 10: feed around the bush about it and was being kind
- 19:16Speaker 10: of wishy washy. I was like, well, why wouldn't you
- 19:18Speaker 10: want to rent one out that feels like, you know,
- 19:20Speaker 10: good income, And he just said he didn't want to
- 19:22Speaker 10: like deal with tenants and like it's a headache or something.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm no expert on relationships and marriage, but I
- 19:28Speaker 1: think I would rather stay engaged and try this out
- 19:31Speaker 1: before married. Yeah, Alan, Yeah, it's my sixteen cents. Yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 1: good luck, Nicole, thank you, thank you. Bye. I think
- 19:44Speaker 1: there's something more to that. Guys, be excited. I was
- 19:49Speaker 1: so excited when I saw other people getting married that
- 19:51Speaker 1: we're going to live together.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Merging everything.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, just think about you. You meet people
- 20:00Speaker 1: in life that have gone through something terribly tragic and
- 20:04Speaker 1: they turn something beautiful into it. That I mean, that
- 20:07Speaker 1: is it's amazing to do it, and you got to
- 20:11Speaker 1: be strong to do it. But here's an example of that.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Imagine you are you. This guy's twenty five years old.
- 20:19Speaker 1: He's in Long Beach and his girlfriend was tragically killed
- 20:23Speaker 1: by a drunk driver. He's devastated, and he turns that
- 20:27Speaker 1: tragedy into something beautiful for the community by essentially building
- 20:32Speaker 1: a coffee shop to honor her in Long Beach. And
- 20:35Speaker 1: now people come and they hang out and they talk
- 20:37Speaker 1: and they connect and just great vibes happen. So, Sisney,
- 20:42Speaker 1: where is it?
- 20:42Speaker 2: Yeah? This is Rain's Place, the Vietnamese and Filipino Coffee Shop.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It's on the corner of Fourth Street and Miramar Avenue
- 20:49Speaker 2: right there in Long Beach. And like you were saying,
- 20:52Speaker 2: it's just a really beautiful space and the community has
- 20:55Speaker 2: come together in such a great way. They actually helped
- 20:57Speaker 2: him raise forty five thousand dollars to get it all
- 21:01Speaker 2: off the ground and running. And there's even a special
- 21:04Speaker 2: wall in the coffee shop where customers can post little
- 21:07Speaker 2: notes to loved ones that they have maybe lost. So
- 21:10Speaker 2: I just think it's a really good reminder that grief can,
- 21:14Speaker 2: you know, grow into love again, and it just brings
- 21:17Speaker 2: community together.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So look for that in Long Beach. It's rains r
- 21:20Speaker 1: E I N N E Apostophias reins place in Long Beach.
- 21:25Speaker 1: But imagine that kind of tragedy and then turning it
- 21:28Speaker 1: into something like this human spirit is powerful.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and doing it in your mid twenties.
- 21:33Speaker 1: So by definition, a situationship is what? What is a situationship?
- 21:38Speaker 1: Because got some situationships circulating here around the show. What
- 21:43Speaker 1: is it?
- 21:44Speaker 2: I would say it's kind of the situation that Sophia
- 21:47Speaker 2: is in a little bit.
- 21:48Speaker 1: You're in a situationship, You're hanging out with somebody put
- 21:51Speaker 1: rules on it, right, Yeah, exactly, it's a what what
- 21:54Speaker 1: is it? It's a what what is it?
- 21:56Speaker 5: What are we?
- 21:57Speaker 1: It's also it's like, hey, nobody's asking any questions, so
- 21:59Speaker 1: let's just keep situation shipping. Now, Jordan in the back room,
- 22:03Speaker 1: who comes to us from Burbank High Jordan, what's the
- 22:06Speaker 1: issue with your friend.
- 22:08Speaker 7: My friend's in a situationship and she is wondering about
- 22:12Speaker 7: location sharing and whether she should share her location with
- 22:16Speaker 7: the guy that she's been talking to for.
- 22:18Speaker 1: A few months and they would both share each other's
- 22:20Speaker 1: locations in theory, Yes, and yeah, bad news.
- 22:25Speaker 7: It's confusing because as for me personally, I'm okay with
- 22:28Speaker 7: dropping my location for any friend if they're asking for it.
- 22:33Speaker 7: But when you're in a situationship, is it weird to
- 22:36Speaker 7: ask for that person's location because now you guys have
- 22:39Speaker 7: a thing going on, even though you're just asking for
- 22:41Speaker 7: their safety.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yeah, but are you asking for their safety or you're
- 22:44Speaker 1: also asking and know where they are? Because the situationship
- 22:47Speaker 1: can be anxiety ridden. I think that is dangerous to
- 22:51Speaker 1: have locations in a situationship because technically that person can
- 22:55Speaker 1: be at someone else's place, but if you see them there,
- 22:57Speaker 1: that's going to make you crazy. Can make you crazy.
- 23:01Speaker 1: And this is the problem with situationships. They're as good
- 23:04Speaker 1: as they are bad. It's you you're actually in a situationship,
- 23:09Speaker 1: did you ask for a location well, I.
- 23:11Speaker 8: Kind of was in the same situation as Jordan's friend
- 23:13Speaker 8: where the night that Skeletor came to pick me and
- 23:16Speaker 8: my friends up from that party when my friend threw
- 23:18Speaker 8: up in his car, I sent him my location and
- 23:21Speaker 8: I kind of did it indefinitely as like an insinuation,
- 23:24Speaker 8: like hey, like send me years back, like this is us,
- 23:27Speaker 8: Like you're not saying it, and he never sent it
- 23:31Speaker 8: to me.
- 23:31Speaker 1: He never sent it to me. Yeah, this is the
- 23:33Speaker 1: this is the gray area. Gray is not good, so
- 23:36Speaker 1: I think it. Look, the safety component is a great thing,
- 23:39Speaker 1: but when you're in a situationship, all of these can
- 23:42Speaker 1: be very, very confusing and frustrating.
- 23:45Speaker 7: But now do we just not care about their safety
- 23:48Speaker 7: even though we have everyone else's location?
- 23:51Speaker 1: No, you care, but they need to step up and
- 23:53Speaker 1: make a decision about their relationship. I think say, with
- 23:56Speaker 1: you and Skeletor, Sofia, I don't mean to dovetail this
- 23:59Speaker 1: back in your situation, but I'm gonna keep hearing about
- 24:01Speaker 1: this drama in your life if you don't make it,
- 24:04Speaker 1: I think you've got to be decisive to say, dude,
- 24:06Speaker 1: it's been a long time, either we in or out
- 24:09Speaker 1: and happy birthday. She's not going out with him tonight
- 24:13Speaker 1: on her birthday, FYI say she did last night into
- 24:17Speaker 1: the midnight hour. Yeah, but that that was exactly exactly
- 24:22Speaker 1: my point because he's in a situation he doesn't get
- 24:25Speaker 1: the prime time show. No he doesn't. He gets Prime Access.
- 24:29Speaker 1: He gets like this seven o'clock version. You get prime
- 24:32Speaker 1: time tonight. All right, Jordan, thank you very much. It's
- 24:35Speaker 1: Kiss FM coming back here on air with Ryan Seacrest,
- 24:42Speaker 1: Andrew and Lancaster. We were talking about how homemade gifts
- 24:44Speaker 1: are the thing. I mean, if you will want some thought,
- 24:46Speaker 1: if you've got the time to make a homemade gift.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I mean, everybody's kind of into it. Taylor's sift is
- 24:53Speaker 1: making Sourdale bread. When Taylor's doing homemade gifts, then the
- 24:56Speaker 1: world will follow.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Andrea is on the line in Lancaster. So Andrea, thank
- 25:01Speaker 1: you for listening. Go ahead, you heard us talking about that,
- 25:04Speaker 1: and what's your view on the homemade gifts and what's
- 25:05Speaker 1: your homemade gift.
- 25:07Speaker 9: I was actually making a homemade gift for my bestie.
- 25:10Speaker 9: It was her fiftieth and we were going to be celebrating,
- 25:15Speaker 9: and I decided to make her a scrap book so
- 25:19Speaker 9: we have a Yeah.
- 25:22Speaker 1: That's great, that's so. So what's you put on a
- 25:25Speaker 1: scrap book?
- 25:27Speaker 9: So this scrap book I named it fifty Things we
- 25:30Speaker 9: Love about You. So I got fifty people, yes, she
- 25:34Speaker 9: has fifty friends. Wow, And we created a page all
- 25:41Speaker 9: of us. Actually, I used Canva and I had everyone
- 25:45Speaker 9: send me pictures and a sweet little message about why
- 25:49Speaker 9: they love her. And I put this all together and
- 25:53Speaker 9: we gave it to her for her fiftieth birthday.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Wow. I mean, this is like talking to Tanya. This
- 26:00Speaker 1: is like a page right out of her scrap book.
- 26:02Speaker 5: I think.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I think that something like that is so beautiful, so wonderful,
- 26:07Speaker 1: and there there will I mean, I know what words
- 26:09Speaker 1: you say when you receive something like that from a
- 26:12Speaker 1: friend that's been so time consuming and thoughtful. I'm loving this.
- 26:16Speaker 1: This is a great idea for people to hear if
- 26:18Speaker 1: she can do it. And most people don't have fifty friends,
- 26:20Speaker 1: so you have eight. This is much easier to write.
- 26:25Speaker 9: I know, I know. We've all been friends for a
- 26:28Speaker 9: very long time. And we actually got our kids involved
- 26:31Speaker 9: because she's not only are we all friends, but all
- 26:35Speaker 9: of our kids are also friends. So we had our
- 26:38Speaker 9: kids also write her a little page.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I love that.
- 26:40Speaker 1: That is great. Well, thank you very much for Colin,
- 26:43Speaker 1: thank you for listening, thank you for sharing that great idea.
- 26:45Speaker 1: You take care in Lancaster, no problem, Thank you, Ryan. Bye. Scrapping, Yeah, scrapping.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I should be scrapping, journaling all these things, diarying, diary.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Harry Styles just really aperture last week and we also
- 27:02Speaker 1: got the track list for his album. He announced his
- 27:04Speaker 1: Together Together tour, and there's a lot of talk about
- 27:09Speaker 1: gig tripping. Harry Styles is following this trend. What is
- 27:13Speaker 1: gig tripping, Tanya Sisiny.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Gig tripping is planning a vacation to see your favorite
- 27:18Speaker 3: artist in another city. So a lot of people have
- 27:21Speaker 3: been doing this with the growing number of residencies in
- 27:25Speaker 3: Las Vegas. You know, like where an artist comes, they
- 27:28Speaker 3: have a bunch of dates and you kind a trip,
- 27:30Speaker 3: you plan a trip. And it seems like Harry is
- 27:32Speaker 3: following this trend because he's doing seven cities, He's doing
- 27:36Speaker 3: multiple day residents. He's kind of like in these cities,
- 27:39Speaker 3: he's doing Amsterdam, London, South Paulo, Mexico City, New York City,
- 27:43Speaker 3: Melbourne and Sydney. And so basically what you have to
- 27:47Speaker 3: do is plan a vacation to go with friends or whoever,
- 27:50Speaker 3: to basically travel to go see him instead of the
- 27:53Speaker 3: artists traveling around. And I think that this might be
- 27:56Speaker 3: a big trend that we start to see because I
- 27:58Speaker 3: feel like a lot of artists have been very open
- 28:00Speaker 3: about the mental their mental headspace when they're the mental
- 28:05Speaker 3: strain of being on a being on the road every
- 28:08Speaker 3: single day. And I think that this is going to
- 28:11Speaker 3: be a big thing.
- 28:12Speaker 1: I kind of like it for everybody. All Right, So
- 28:13Speaker 1: there's not I mean, it's like Harry Styles went around
- 28:15Speaker 1: the planet going this is a cool city. This is
- 28:17Speaker 1: a cool city. I don't see la, but this is
- 28:19Speaker 1: He went and picked cities around the planet. Right, Yeah,
- 28:21Speaker 1: maybe he want to go see people do love to travel,
- 28:24Speaker 1: and then this makes an event out of your trip
- 28:26Speaker 1: and your travel and it's a good excuse to get
- 28:28Speaker 1: away from a work and be your partner and all
- 28:31Speaker 1: that stuff, right, making more of an event. Alright, Amsterdam, London,
- 28:34Speaker 1: so Polom, Mexico City in New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Siciny,
- 28:36Speaker 1: which city would you pick out all those?
- 28:39Speaker 2: I'm between Amsterdam or London because Robin is opening up
- 28:43Speaker 2: in Amsterdam and in London, Shanaia Twain is opening up,
- 28:48Speaker 2: so I'm torn between those two. I've already been to
- 28:51Speaker 2: Mexico City and that's where i.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Want to go. Great, so you go to amerstam I'm
- 28:54Speaker 1: want to go to Mexico City. I'm tany where would
- 28:56Speaker 1: you go?
- 28:56Speaker 3: I'll take New York City.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Great. We got the basis covered, which is going to
- 29:00Speaker 1: any of those places to see him, but we'd like
- 29:01Speaker 1: to wrap it up for us on Kiss FM. So hey, everybody,
- 29:05Speaker 1: tomorrow Tomorrow is Ryan's Roses. We're paying your bills tomorrow too,
- 29:09Speaker 1: but Ryan's rose is seven forty. This one involves two sisters,
- 29:14Speaker 1: two sisters and whether or not their father is having
- 29:16Speaker 1: an affair, and as messy as that sounds, it gets worse.
- 29:21Speaker 1: And that's at seven forty. God, we're going to leave
- 29:23Speaker 1: you where Mikayla is going to respond to none of
- 29:26Speaker 1: the three guys but the fourth. On Hember he said, Hey,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I'm a five, nothing but upside for you. After that,
- 29:32Speaker 1: Sophia is going to celebrate her twenty first not with
- 29:35Speaker 1: her situationship with her girl friends. Yay, and we'll go
- 29:38Speaker 1: good Night's sleep. See your first thing tomorrow morning, right
- 29:40Speaker 1: here on Kiss FM Ciciny. We'll take it till eleven o'lo.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Thanks for listening to on Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make
- 29:46Speaker 1: sure to subscribe and we'll talk to you again tomorrow
