- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show, the world's most trusted conspiracy
- 0:16Speaker 1: theory podcast, with your hosts Adam Todd Brown and Olivia Hidar.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show. I'm your host,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Adam Todd Brown joining me as co host this week.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Connor mcspaden's here, Connor, how's it going.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Good to be back in the trap as always with you, Adam,
- 0:47Speaker 3: at this critical juncture in American history.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, we're coming together to heal the nation right now.
- 0:54Speaker 3: It is fun when you live every day of your
- 0:56Speaker 3: life reading about chemical chambers underneath the Great Pyramid in
- 1:00Speaker 3: Michael Aquino books and all this shit, and then.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Suddenly everybody's a conspiracy theorist. Everybody has an idea all
- 1:10Speaker 4: of a sudden. Oh okay, now we're questioning the government. Okay, everybody,
- 1:14Speaker 4: Now you don't trust them either.
- 1:15Speaker 5: Cool?
- 1:15Speaker 6: Good for you.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that is exactly how I feel about this, because
- 1:20Speaker 2: I've been hosting a conspiracy theory podcast since twenty sixteen,
- 1:24Speaker 2: seventeen something like that, And boy do I get scoffs
- 1:28Speaker 2: from people on the left when I mentioned.
- 1:31Speaker 3: That every time I'm at a party and I just
- 1:33Speaker 3: want to talk to people and give him the good
- 1:35Speaker 3: word about Elvis and that he's still alive spreading good
- 1:39Speaker 3: news all of a sudden.
- 1:40Speaker 6: I'm some kind of creep.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Cia in Jonestown. That's another party favorite that I
- 1:46Speaker 2: like to bring up.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Oh, the Unibomber's Manifesto actually being really good is a
- 1:50Speaker 3: great Drew Michael joke and also just a fact about
- 1:53Speaker 3: that piece of writing.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it is a very good piece of writing.
- 1:56Speaker 3: If we'd followed the Unibomber Manifesto from nineteen seventy whatever
- 2:00Speaker 3: to today, we would live in a better society. There'd
- 2:04Speaker 3: be community vegetable gardens and fucking compost heaps and shit.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that is the very uncomfortable truth about the Unibomber Manifesto.
- 2:14Speaker 2: He's kind of right.
- 2:15Speaker 6: That's not uncomfortable to me.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I know. I promised last week that we would be
- 2:20Speaker 2: talking about Ronald Reagan on this episode Total one eight,
- 2:25Speaker 2: But as everyone knows, something happened, so now we're talking
- 2:28Speaker 2: about other Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump.
- 2:31Speaker 3: It actually is the opposite of Ronald Reagan because it
- 2:33Speaker 3: was a guy who had the right size gun but
- 2:36Speaker 3: the wrong accuracy, as opposed to Ronald Reagan is a
- 2:39Speaker 3: guy with the incorrect sized gun with the correct bullet placement.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah. The first thing I thought when I heard that
- 2:47Speaker 2: Trump was shot but survived. My immediate thought was, man,
- 2:51Speaker 2: this guy really does think he's Reagan.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Huh, yeah, make America great again?
- 2:56Speaker 2: You know all of it.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Even presidents are just corp reboots now, you know.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah, he is really following in Reagan's footsteps. And that
- 3:07Speaker 2: this also happened. It seems almost too perfect. But I
- 3:11Speaker 2: guess that's what we're going to talk about today because
- 3:14Speaker 2: there have been a lot of conspiracy theories that have
- 3:17Speaker 2: popped up around this, and I don't think that's unwarranted.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I just wish the left would take this as a
- 3:24Speaker 2: moment to realize that questioning the government isn't a thing
- 3:28Speaker 2: you should get mocked for. So let's just dive into
- 3:32Speaker 2: some of these theories. There's a bunch of them, some
- 3:35Speaker 2: more believable than others. The one I have heard the most,
- 3:39Speaker 2: I would say, is a pretty innocuous one, which is
- 3:42Speaker 2: Trump wasn't hit by a bullet, He was hit by
- 3:45Speaker 2: a piece of glass from a broken teleprompter.
- 3:47Speaker 3: That was the one I was going to bring up.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I don't even know why you would make that a theory. Okay,
- 3:51Speaker 3: it was a different minor injury caused by the shot
- 3:54Speaker 3: of a gun.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it seems like one of the most unimportant details
- 3:59Speaker 2: to me because it doesn't make what happened not an
- 4:02Speaker 2: attempted assassination exactly.
- 4:04Speaker 3: And I also think the photo of the really long
- 4:07Speaker 3: bullet flying through the air into his ear is pretty
- 4:11Speaker 3: good evidence.
- 4:12Speaker 6: So yeah, you seen that picture.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that picture is wild.
- 4:16Speaker 3: You know, when that guy was going through his shots,
- 4:18Speaker 3: he was like, fuck, yeah, I'm getting that kitchen remodel.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that guy I hope is rich now. Yeah, probably not,
- 4:25Speaker 2: because he was just doing it in the course of his.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Own Oh if like fucking Huffington Post already owns that
- 4:30Speaker 3: picture and just gets a flat.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Rate New York Times salary, that is.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Like every story about Oh and this album cover was
- 4:37Speaker 3: designed by a Bavarian woman who got paid three pennies
- 4:41Speaker 3: and a loaf of bread.
- 4:42Speaker 2: So yeah, this theory that a piece of glass hit him,
- 4:45Speaker 2: I trust Snopes about as much as I trust Trump.
- 4:49Speaker 2: But Snopes did nail it when it comes to this theory.
- 4:53Speaker 2: If your claim is that Trump was hit by a
- 4:57Speaker 2: piece of glass from a broken teleprompter, you can just
- 5:00Speaker 2: look at the pictures of Secret Service taking him away.
- 5:04Speaker 2: If you look at a wide shot, you see both
- 5:06Speaker 2: teleprompters are completely unharmed.
- 5:10Speaker 3: So game, set and match. Is there a name for
- 5:14Speaker 3: the piece of glass? Guys like glassheads? Like fucking glassheads. No,
- 5:18Speaker 3: this was all a fucking hoax.
- 5:21Speaker 2: That wouldn't surprise me. And again, even if it was
- 5:24Speaker 2: glass that hit him, that part doesn't matter.
- 5:28Speaker 3: The fucking picture of him pumping this fist. I forget
- 5:30Speaker 3: who I saw point this out. That's not my observation.
- 5:32Speaker 3: But someone was like, so Donald Trump literally got shot
- 5:35Speaker 3: in the head, fell down to his knees, realized he
- 5:38Speaker 3: was fine, thought it's content time, and then popped back
- 5:42Speaker 3: up and was like, let me get some fucking gifts
- 5:44Speaker 3: going for the revolution.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I mean, that was smart of him.
- 5:47Speaker 3: He's an absolute master at human like there's like a
- 5:52Speaker 3: like an a quality in comedy where if you're on
- 5:55Speaker 3: stage telling jokes to people, you have to have this
- 5:57Speaker 3: kind of like alpha confidence. I hate to use that
- 6:00Speaker 3: terminology because it's so beaten to death, but you have to,
- 6:03Speaker 3: you know, project a certain kind of like animal dominance.
- 6:06Speaker 3: And he just understands that fucking dynamics. So well as
- 6:11Speaker 3: a roast comedian, as someone who's literally picked apart and
- 6:14Speaker 3: studied the fucking science of dominating another person. In this case,
- 6:19Speaker 3: let's say Joe Biden.
- 6:20Speaker 6: He just gets it.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Once I saw it, I was like, Oh, we're so fucked.
- 6:23Speaker 3: He played that so perfectly.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Whoever ends up running against him in November, it's bad
- 6:27Speaker 2: for them because this is gonna be hard to overcome.
- 6:32Speaker 2: That is a fucking iconic photo. And what other assassination
- 6:37Speaker 2: that we have that kind of photo. None.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe there's like a Dagaria type of Theodore Roosevelt
- 6:43Speaker 3: finishing his speech or something, but even then it's not
- 6:47Speaker 3: as impactful. And almost nobody is like putting together a
- 6:51Speaker 3: case that Trump staged this to make himself look good.
- 6:55Speaker 3: You know, everyone seems to be buying that this was
- 6:57Speaker 3: either a lone wolf or some sort of shady deep
- 7:02Speaker 3: state political machine. No one's like he did this himself
- 7:05Speaker 3: for clout. You know, he seems to have gotten the
- 7:07Speaker 3: clean fucking pr moment out of it.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I mean, that was one of the big conspiracy theories
- 7:13Speaker 2: on the left after this was that he staged it.
- 7:16Speaker 2: And I don't know, I really hate the way that
- 7:21Speaker 2: is being covered because listen, we're talking about the only
- 7:26Speaker 2: US president to ever receive a stone cold stunner. If
- 7:32Speaker 2: you watch that clip, Donald Trump knows how to act.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Wrestling is fake, but also you have to sell it
- 7:39Speaker 2: and make it look convincing. And he takes the shit
- 7:43Speaker 2: out of that kick to the stomach followed by a
- 7:46Speaker 2: stone cold stunner from stone cold Steve Austin. So people
- 7:50Speaker 2: can fucking miss me with the idea that Trump couldn't
- 7:54Speaker 2: have staged this. He's an actor, he's an entertainer, he's
- 7:58Speaker 2: a personality. He would be the perfect president or presidential
- 8:02Speaker 2: candidate to pull some shit like this with. And I
- 8:06Speaker 2: think the one good point I've heard in regards to
- 8:10Speaker 2: this being staged is, since when do Secret Service just
- 8:14Speaker 2: let you stand there and pump your fist when there
- 8:18Speaker 2: are bullets flying around? That part, I guess, is weird.
- 8:22Speaker 6: That is weird.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I could also just see, Okay, I'm the Secret Service
- 8:26Speaker 3: and then here's the most popular guy of all time
- 8:28Speaker 3: telling me to do something I don't know. He's the boss.
- 8:31Speaker 2: And also it seems like they had to have known
- 8:34Speaker 2: the shooting was done by then.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I feel like in some of those clips you can
- 8:38Speaker 3: hear someone yell threat down or some shit like that.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think they would have gotten up if
- 8:43Speaker 2: there was still an active shooter. And that's one of
- 8:46Speaker 2: the things people have been saying, is, oh, they're an
- 8:47Speaker 2: active shooter and that you just pick him up and
- 8:50Speaker 2: take him off stage. I think the shooting was done
- 8:52Speaker 2: by that point, because that would have been crazy. Now
- 8:56Speaker 2: we gotta go now fuck it.
- 8:57Speaker 3: This is already a rather messy coup of whatever kind
- 9:00Speaker 3: it is, but that would have just been really embarrassing.
- 9:03Speaker 2: So the idea that it was staged, I guess.
- 9:06Speaker 3: You could have a blood pack in the ear, you know,
- 9:08Speaker 3: or something like.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Well, there's also blading, which is what they do in wrestling,
- 9:13Speaker 2: like when you see someone bleeding from their forehead.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Oh, he went down, and then he had a little
- 9:18Speaker 3: fucking razor in his cuff link or whatever.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, like tape around his finger maybe, and you get
- 9:24Speaker 2: rid of that. I don't know. It could have been faked,
- 9:27Speaker 2: because one of the arguments you hear against it is well,
- 9:30Speaker 2: it was all on TV. How could it be fake.
- 9:32Speaker 2: No one's saying that there weren't shots fired, like a
- 9:35Speaker 2: guy died in the audience, So of course that. Yeah,
- 9:39Speaker 2: And also I think a better question would be did
- 9:42Speaker 2: they have an inkling that this was going to happen
- 9:45Speaker 2: and just let it get to that point where they
- 9:49Speaker 2: could shoot someone? But God, that would be risky.
- 9:51Speaker 3: But seems like that's some of the most damning evidence
- 9:54Speaker 3: for this being some sort of a deep state coup.
- 9:57Speaker 3: To me, this is a very serious his government agency,
- 10:01Speaker 3: and it's part of their policy to secure rooftops within
- 10:04Speaker 3: a certain perimeter, and these rooftops are all unsecured. The
- 10:07Speaker 3: protocol then says, if you don't have enough secret service guys,
- 10:10Speaker 3: stick some fucking local cops up there. And there was
- 10:12Speaker 3: no local cops up there. And that wasn't like there
- 10:14Speaker 3: wasn't an abundance of them milling around the rally. There's
- 10:17Speaker 3: videos of them all over the place. Put four of
- 10:18Speaker 3: them on the roof.
- 10:19Speaker 2: They were in the building he was on. That's where
- 10:22Speaker 2: the police were staged.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Gee, hey, fellas, do you guys hear something on the roof? Nah,
- 10:28Speaker 3: it's probably fine chomps donut. I've been thinking this is
- 10:33Speaker 3: a complete sidebar. But how does the guy who's YouTube
- 10:36Speaker 3: channel he was wearing the merch of feel about this?
- 10:39Speaker 3: He was wearing YouTube merch from like a guy with
- 10:41Speaker 3: like a gun channel. He's got to be like, oh,
- 10:43Speaker 3: this is the best and worst press of all. His
- 10:46Speaker 3: followers have got to have some large percentage of Trump
- 10:49Speaker 3: people that are like this guy tried to kill the breath.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that, I mean, I can kind of relate. There
- 10:55Speaker 2: was the mass shooting in I think it was Dayton, Ohio.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I'm almost positive that guy wasn't on Pops listener. Really,
- 11:05Speaker 2: he was definitely familiar with the cracked orbit because he
- 11:11Speaker 2: had quote tweeted a video by Cody Johnston okay, and
- 11:15Speaker 2: the caption he wrote just said vote blue, no matter who.
- 11:19Speaker 2: And that's the fucking Dayton shooter. Wow. So that I remember.
- 11:24Speaker 3: So there's a chance that he popped in a clip
- 11:26Speaker 3: and he's like, I'm gonna do to them what Connor
- 11:27Speaker 3: mcs ben did to Randall Maynard.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Possibly, Yeah, that was jarring.
- 11:33Speaker 3: It's a great Dug standout bit about reading the Christopher
- 11:35Speaker 3: Dorner Manifesto and thinking like he heard that he listed
- 11:39Speaker 3: his ten favorite comedians. So he's reading this manifesto with
- 11:42Speaker 3: Glee going finally my big break, and he's like, I
- 11:45Speaker 3: got to the fucking list and I was snubbed. You're
- 11:47Speaker 3: telling me that the comedy stylings of Margaret Show make
- 11:51Speaker 3: you want to commit genocide.
- 11:53Speaker 2: The Christopher Dorner Manifesto is a wild fucking ride.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I haven't read all of that one. The Elliott Rodgers
- 12:01Speaker 3: one is pretty fucking sad, like it is a I
- 12:05Speaker 3: don't know, it's like it was seeing a four un
- 12:07Speaker 3: guy's inner thoughts is rough. The Dorner one is kind
- 12:10Speaker 3: of like all over the place, and he's like, and
- 12:11Speaker 3: here are some of my favorite recipes.
- 12:13Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:14Speaker 2: He at one point expresses regret that he's not going
- 12:17Speaker 2: to get to see the third Hangover movie. O. Good news,
- 12:25Speaker 2: Christy didn't miss much. That movie kind of sucked.
- 12:28Speaker 3: You know what I always think about is that Joseph
- 12:29Speaker 3: Mangelo lived to see Star Wars. Motherfucker died in nineteen
- 12:33Speaker 3: seventy nine.
- 12:34Speaker 2: So the way this idea that maybe Trump's team stage this,
- 12:39Speaker 2: the way it's being covered really bothers me. Let me
- 12:43Speaker 2: just read one of the quotes. We'll link to an
- 12:45Speaker 2: article on the Washington Post about the theories that have
- 12:49Speaker 2: popped up about this being staged. And here's a quote
- 12:53Speaker 2: from Mike Roth's child, who apparently wrote a book about QAnon.
- 12:58Speaker 2: That's bold. Imagine still getting into the conspiracy biz with
- 13:02Speaker 2: a last name like Roth's child.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Maybe it's one of these things like where if you
- 13:07Speaker 3: run for election as a Kennedy, you just get five
- 13:09Speaker 3: percent of the vote no matter what, because people like
- 13:11Speaker 3: that guy.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Could be This is his quote about people claiming this
- 13:17Speaker 2: was staged. It's coming from major leftist and liberal resistance
- 13:21Speaker 2: influencers who believe that Trump is so devious that he'd
- 13:26Speaker 2: fake his own assassination attempt in order to help his campaign.
- 13:30Speaker 2: End quote. Motherfucker, he is that devious. We know that
- 13:34Speaker 2: about Trump. Of course he would do that shit. That's
- 13:37Speaker 2: not a fucking defense. Oh you think Trump's a bad guy? Now, yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 2: I have forever, forever and ever and ever.
- 13:43Speaker 3: He probably when he got hit in the ear and
- 13:45Speaker 3: when he was fell to the ground and had that
- 13:47Speaker 3: moment where he realized that this was going to be
- 13:49Speaker 3: incredible content for his campaign, he probably for a second thought, Man,
- 13:52Speaker 3: I should have thought of this. This is good, this
- 13:55Speaker 3: is clean, man, this works.
- 13:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I don't buy that argument at all that, Oh Trump's
- 14:01Speaker 2: too good of a guy.
- 14:02Speaker 3: No, seeing any politician is too moral to do any
- 14:05Speaker 3: publicity stunt is foolish at.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Least any president, because the things presidents have to sign
- 14:11Speaker 2: off on, it requires at least a little bit of
- 14:15Speaker 2: a morality, at the very.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Least at a degree of emotional detachment. You know, Yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 3: to go fucking pose for photos at an Easter egg
- 14:23Speaker 3: hunt in the Rose Garden, Well you're just like signed
- 14:27Speaker 3: a piece of paper to fucking blow up seven Umini
- 14:30Speaker 3: weddings or whatever it is on that day, you know.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah. And we're talking about a guy who is campaigning
- 14:38Speaker 2: on a platform of immigrants are poisoning the blood of
- 14:42Speaker 2: this country, and so we need to round up ten
- 14:45Speaker 2: million of them and send them to camps. That's the
- 14:48Speaker 2: actual plan.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Beautiful camps, very nice camps, barracks and Latrians, the finest Latrins.
- 14:57Speaker 6: I don't do Trump.
- 14:59Speaker 3: That would be funny if the deportation camps were all
- 15:02Speaker 3: really gaudy. Have you ever stated at Trump Hotel everything
- 15:04Speaker 3: looks nice, but it's like your stupidest neighbor's idea of nice,
- 15:08Speaker 3: like forty five year old fucking white guy's idea of wow,
- 15:11Speaker 3: it's shiny and gold.
- 15:13Speaker 2: It actually wouldn't surprise me because that would just give
- 15:16Speaker 2: right wingers another reason to be like, see, it's fine.
- 15:19Speaker 2: They're living better than I am.
- 15:21Speaker 3: They love having the excrement hosed off of them in
- 15:24Speaker 3: the yard before exercise.
- 15:27Speaker 2: So yeah, I don't think this was staged. But I
- 15:30Speaker 2: also understand why people would ask. And I don't think
- 15:34Speaker 2: asking that question makes you a conspiracy theorist. You just
- 15:38Speaker 2: have a healthy skepticism of the government.
- 15:41Speaker 3: No, And I also don't think it's insane to ask, Okay,
- 15:44Speaker 3: why did this crack team of super soldiers fucked this
- 15:48Speaker 3: up so god damn badly? You know, if that's the
- 15:52Speaker 3: one thing we're supposed to be able to do correctly
- 15:53Speaker 3: as a country is engage in war, why did our
- 15:57Speaker 3: literal ss private fucking war you why were they all
- 16:01Speaker 3: out to lunch? You know, there's tons of videos of
- 16:03Speaker 3: that sniper having a fucking shot on that guy for
- 16:05Speaker 3: a few seconds and just kind of going, oh, weird,
- 16:07Speaker 3: I wonder what that dude is doing laying down on
- 16:09Speaker 3: that roof over there.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think part of it also is that
- 16:14Speaker 2: like too soon kind of idea, because we get to
- 16:17Speaker 2: ask all the questions we want about JFK people saying
- 16:22Speaker 2: it's too soon.
- 16:22Speaker 3: He wasn't even fighting for his life or anything. He
- 16:25Speaker 3: was clearly in no grave, fucking physical danger by the
- 16:29Speaker 3: time the fucking shooter had been killed and he was
- 16:30Speaker 3: moved off stage.
- 16:31Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 16:32Speaker 3: He could have an ear infection right now and you're
- 16:34Speaker 3: asking these questions. Yeah, they could be putting hydrogen peroxide
- 16:39Speaker 3: on his ear. That would really sting.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Yeah, And as far as the secret service thing, people
- 16:44Speaker 2: are kind of asking the question, and we'll get to
- 16:46Speaker 2: it near the end of the episode. But I brought
- 16:50Speaker 2: up JFK because one of the weird details of that
- 16:54Speaker 2: assassination is the way his security changed that day and
- 17:00Speaker 2: the fact that he was traveling along this route that
- 17:04Speaker 2: had all these windows that people could have been in
- 17:07Speaker 2: and those weren't secured and no one checked that, and
- 17:11Speaker 2: people are like, why why would that be the case?
- 17:14Speaker 2: Or another great example is Malcolm X. The day Malcolm
- 17:18Speaker 2: X was assassinated, there were only two security guards at
- 17:23Speaker 2: the front door of that venue, and it was a
- 17:26Speaker 2: venue where black activists regularly gathered, so normally, as you'd expect,
- 17:34Speaker 2: there was a ton of police. Yeah, right, correct, There
- 17:37Speaker 2: were normally police on the roof, there were police at
- 17:40Speaker 2: all the entrances and exits, and for some reason that
- 17:44Speaker 2: day they were like, Ah, we don't need it, just
- 17:46Speaker 2: put a couple of guards at the door.
- 17:48Speaker 3: These black panthers are always well behaved. They took up
- 17:51Speaker 3: after themselves. I fell as we can just let them
- 17:53Speaker 3: have a good time.
- 17:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I understand if people are questioning why the Secret Service
- 18:00Speaker 2: wasn't up on that roof, because it seems like such
- 18:04Speaker 2: an obvious place to be. If Trump is four hundred
- 18:08Speaker 2: feet away, you obviously put someone up there. And the
- 18:11Speaker 2: fact that they miss that I think is suspicious.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Yeah, a guy with the slingshot could have hit him
- 18:17Speaker 3: if he was lucky.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I really wish people on the left would take this
- 18:21Speaker 2: as a moment to be like, oh, yeah, shit, maybe
- 18:23Speaker 2: the government does do stuff.
- 18:25Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Because it's a thing they need to fucking understand. A
- 18:29Speaker 2: lot of people on the left need to understand questioning
- 18:33Speaker 2: the government does not make you a conspiracy theorist.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Well, and just the idea that you can at this
- 18:39Speaker 3: point through declassified information if you only take the government's
- 18:43Speaker 3: word for what they've done and what they've admitted to,
- 18:46Speaker 3: like how many South American coups did? Does there have
- 18:49Speaker 3: to be before you some point have the idea like, oh,
- 18:52Speaker 3: perhaps they would be even so amorl as to do
- 18:55Speaker 3: something like that domestically. Is that absolutely not? Those must
- 18:58Speaker 3: just be practiced for the fucking shit they do here.
- 19:01Speaker 3: It's like a comedian like I go down to Bolivia
- 19:03Speaker 3: and I try out some of my new psyops and
- 19:05Speaker 3: the misinformation techniques, and then I bring that shit over
- 19:08Speaker 3: to North Dakota once I know it's really cooking.
- 19:10Speaker 2: One of the things I also hate is people are
- 19:13Speaker 2: being forced to like immediately apologize for having questioned if
- 19:18Speaker 2: this was staged or not. I feel like that's kind
- 19:21Speaker 2: of a natural response. The American government shouldn't stage so
- 19:25Speaker 2: much shit if they don't want people to ask if
- 19:26Speaker 2: stuff is staged.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Ah, So I'm kind of anti dumb shaming. You can't
- 19:30Speaker 3: really judge anybody for what their natural response is to something,
- 19:34Speaker 3: and you shouldn't go around taking everybody so fucking seriously.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I can understand there being a conversation about a degree
- 19:39Speaker 3: of responsibility if you're a major news outlet or a
- 19:42Speaker 3: fucking public figure or an influencer or whatever. It's like comedy,
- 19:45Speaker 3: you can't help what you laugh at, you know, if
- 19:47Speaker 3: fucking terrible offensive jokes make you laugh. That's an involuntary response.
- 19:52Speaker 3: I'm a skeptical person. When I saw the thing happen,
- 19:55Speaker 3: I thought, well, Okay, sure people suck at their jobs,
- 19:57Speaker 3: but you would think the Secret Service would be kind
- 20:00Speaker 3: of good, you know, you think there would be a
- 20:02Speaker 3: degree making them wake up in the morning and do
- 20:04Speaker 3: push ups and jumping Jackson being on the ball.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah. The thing that I think makes me lean toward
- 20:10Speaker 2: this not being staged, and also the government not actively
- 20:15Speaker 2: trying to assassinate Trump is I don't think the government
- 20:18Speaker 2: would have missed for one thing. And also if it
- 20:23Speaker 2: was staged, they murdered a guy. They just shot a guy,
- 20:26Speaker 2: which I feel like that could not have possibly been
- 20:29Speaker 2: part of a plan. I mean, it's convincing it definitely
- 20:33Speaker 2: if it was staged, that would sell it better. But
- 20:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:37Speaker 3: They probably wouldn't have wanted that. If this was just
- 20:40Speaker 3: a regular assassination coup, that would have made a messy
- 20:43Speaker 3: ering no matter what the goal was. I have seen
- 20:45Speaker 3: some of it, but you know, where's the MK ultra
- 20:47Speaker 3: talk and all of this I can buy on some
- 20:49Speaker 3: level because I was a weird fucking kid that didn't
- 20:51Speaker 3: have social media, like I can sort of see being
- 20:53Speaker 3: a twenty year old that doesn't have much of an
- 20:55Speaker 3: online presence. People are saying that's weird and the ad
- 20:57Speaker 3: is weird, but I don't know, there's nothing about this guy.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Yeah. That was actually my only tweet about.
- 21:04Speaker 6: Yeah was this because to say the thing, and I was.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Like, yeah, I feel like that's a valid question because
- 21:12Speaker 2: people don't give MK ultra enough credit. I don't know
- 21:16Speaker 2: if that's the right way to.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Put it went on for a long time, you know.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and when people are like, oh, but nothing came
- 21:22Speaker 2: of it, Well, one, how do you know the government
- 21:25Speaker 2: isn't going to issue a press release and be like,
- 21:27Speaker 2: you're not going to believe this, But we learned how
- 21:29Speaker 2: to hypnotize people into carrying more political assassinations. That's not
- 21:33Speaker 2: going to happen. But also, you're right, it carried on
- 21:37Speaker 2: for decades, and it started in like the forties. By
- 21:41Speaker 2: the sixties, all of a sudden, the entire progressive.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Vanity, Kennedy, King X, you know, they.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Just start getting gunned down and it gets weirder and
- 21:52Speaker 2: weirder until you get to Reagan. Reagan and John Lennon
- 21:56Speaker 2: both are the most MK ultra shit possible and san Also.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I was about to say, once you get to a
- 22:04Speaker 3: guy who has two names that are the same name,
- 22:06Speaker 3: are you even trying anymore? The best argument for MK
- 22:09Speaker 3: ulture being bullshit is just that the government spends a
- 22:12Speaker 3: ton of money on stupid shit for no reason. Yeah,
- 22:14Speaker 3: of course they would fund the program designed to teach
- 22:16Speaker 3: people how to shoot Superman lasers out of their eyes
- 22:18Speaker 3: for seventeen years.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Have I ever told you about the RFK assassination souvenir
- 22:26Speaker 2: program that I bought at the Reagan Library. No, I'll
- 22:30Speaker 2: send you the article after we're done recording. I wrote
- 22:33Speaker 2: about it on my substack. But I went to the
- 22:35Speaker 2: Reagan Library to see the FBI exhibit because I love
- 22:39Speaker 2: crime and I also love a gift shop. So I
- 22:44Speaker 2: was like, all right, I'm going to find something in
- 22:46Speaker 2: this gift shop that doesn't.
- 22:47Speaker 3: When when I went to the LBG Museum, I got
- 22:50Speaker 3: a postcard of Jackie Kennedy scooping up his brains, because
- 22:54Speaker 3: I was like, why the fuck would you make this
- 22:57Speaker 3: a postcard?
- 22:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it's crazy. And I had the same thought
- 23:02Speaker 2: about what I found because the only two things I
- 23:05Speaker 2: found that didn't have Reagan's name on it were just
- 23:08Speaker 2: a regular ass bag of jelly belly jelly beans, which delicious,
- 23:12Speaker 2: but I can get those at Albertson's.
- 23:14Speaker 6: No your value.
- 23:16Speaker 2: And then also it even had a certificate of authenticity.
- 23:20Speaker 2: It was a basically it is a program about the
- 23:24Speaker 2: assassination of Bobby Kennedy. And there's so much that's weird
- 23:28Speaker 2: about it. One, it came out the following morning, like
- 23:31Speaker 2: right after he got shot. Someone was ready to print
- 23:35Speaker 2: this thing. And not only that, but it has like
- 23:40Speaker 2: the bullet trajectories that Kennedy was hit by, and all
- 23:44Speaker 2: of this super detailed information. And it was published by
- 23:49Speaker 2: this publisher that had only published one thing previously, and
- 23:53Speaker 2: they got sued for copyright infringement over it.
- 23:57Speaker 6: That is so fucking strange.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Stranger it's still the fact that they're just like selling
- 24:01Speaker 3: it in a gift shop.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Well not just that, but also as you flip through it,
- 24:07Speaker 2: at one point there is in the middle a right
- 24:11Speaker 2: up about the Kennedy family and it all seems perfectly
- 24:15Speaker 2: normal and neutral, and then you get to the end
- 24:18Speaker 2: there's a full page picture of just Ted Kennedy's head
- 24:23Speaker 2: and it says there's one son left in huge line.
- 24:28Speaker 2: And then the very next article in that program is
- 24:34Speaker 2: one about how crazy it is that you can still
- 24:36Speaker 2: buy guns through the mail and how if we don't
- 24:40Speaker 2: put an end to this, someone's going to be the
- 24:42Speaker 2: next person to shoot a Kennedy. And that is immediately
- 24:45Speaker 2: after the page that says there's one son left. Next
- 24:49Speaker 2: there's an article that's like, also the person to take
- 24:52Speaker 2: that one out. Here's how you do it.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Perfect, to like rip it out and use this target
- 24:55Speaker 3: practice in your backyard. A big fat picture of Ted
- 24:58Speaker 3: Kennedy's head.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels like an mk ultra remnant or something.
- 25:03Speaker 2: There's no valid reason for it to have existed.
- 25:07Speaker 3: I guess there's some sort of psychological idea of if
- 25:11Speaker 3: people can hold in their hands a piece of print
- 25:13Speaker 3: media the day after this happened, that totally dispels any
- 25:19Speaker 3: sort of questions or fucking rumors that they might be
- 25:22Speaker 3: subject to believing or subscribing to, then I guess, yeah,
- 25:25Speaker 3: it kind of doesn't make sense. But it's also like
- 25:27Speaker 3: sort of telling on yourself, you know.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, just the fact that they had it ready to
- 25:33Speaker 2: go that quick. Who wrote the article about the Kennedys.
- 25:36Speaker 2: They just wrote that in a night.
- 25:38Speaker 6: Did you break this story?
- 25:39Speaker 3: Is this just like an ace of Base being a
- 25:42Speaker 3: white power band? Is this an Adam Todd Brown?
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah? I think so. I wrote it because I found
- 25:48Speaker 2: that thing at the Reagan Library and it's just the
- 25:51Speaker 2: weirdest thing. You can still buy them on I think
- 25:54Speaker 2: you can find them on Amazon or eBay.
- 25:56Speaker 3: It's been fifty something years, over fifty years since that happen,
- 26:00Speaker 3: and how are we still finding weird things? You think
- 26:03Speaker 3: we would have found all the fucking breadcrumbs. And I'm
- 26:05Speaker 3: very interested to see how he adjusts his convention speech
- 26:08Speaker 3: for all of this, because this is the ultimate Rammanuel
- 26:11Speaker 3: never let a good crisis go to waste situation. If
- 26:14Speaker 3: he plays this really well, he could be God Emperor.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Oh absolutely. And that's kind of why I did that
- 26:21Speaker 2: episode about the George Wallace thing, because Trump has since
- 26:28Speaker 2: this shooting. I don't know if you saw this part,
- 26:30Speaker 2: but he gave an interview to I think the Washington Examiner,
- 26:33Speaker 2: some right wing piece of shit, and was like, Yeah,
- 26:37Speaker 2: before this my RNC speech was gonna be a He
- 26:42Speaker 2: called it a hum dinger that was going to be
- 26:44Speaker 2: all about Biden and his policies. Very angry, and then
- 26:49Speaker 2: he was like, but now I had him throw that
- 26:51Speaker 2: speech out because I think this is an opportunity to
- 26:55Speaker 2: unite the country. So that's why I think he's gonna
- 26:58Speaker 2: take a fucking George Waller turn and become this civil
- 27:02Speaker 2: rights guy. But who does it by committing genocide.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Yeah, speak on the George Wallace angle you were telling
- 27:08Speaker 3: me about before we started recording, because that I think
- 27:10Speaker 3: is probably the pivot he's going to play. I'm interested
- 27:13Speaker 3: to see how racial he makes it.
- 27:15Speaker 2: The thing is, if you read his immigration plans and
- 27:20Speaker 2: his policies since he was campaigning the first time, every
- 27:24Speaker 2: detail about his immigration plan is centered around the idea
- 27:29Speaker 2: that illegal immigration hurts black males the most and Black
- 27:34Speaker 2: Americans in general the most, which that's a point people
- 27:39Speaker 2: debate back and forth. That's been the focus this whole time.
- 27:43Speaker 2: So at some point he's going to have to make
- 27:45Speaker 2: that shift and make that appeal to not just well, no,
- 27:50Speaker 2: I'm not racist, but what I'm doing is specifically going
- 27:53Speaker 2: to help you. It's going to give you jobs. He's
- 27:56Speaker 2: going to have to make that part of his campaign
- 27:58Speaker 2: at some point because that's everything the immigration policy is
- 28:02Speaker 2: built around, and George Wallace. If people are unfamiliar, I
- 28:06Speaker 2: don't mean the comedian. I mean the segregationist governor from
- 28:10Speaker 2: Alabama who famously stood in the doorway at the University
- 28:14Speaker 2: of Alabama to keep two black students from integrating there.
- 28:18Speaker 2: He got shot in nineteen seventy two while he was
- 28:20Speaker 2: campaigning again as a staunch racist, and after he got shot,
- 28:25Speaker 2: made this pivot and apologized to black voters, promised to
- 28:31Speaker 2: make all these reforms and create jobs. And it worked.
- 28:35Speaker 2: He won ninety percent of the black vote in his
- 28:37Speaker 2: last election, and he held up his end of the bargain.
- 28:40Speaker 2: He put black people in the governor cabinet for the
- 28:44Speaker 2: first time in history, appointed women and people of color
- 28:47Speaker 2: to all sorts of other jobs. He held up his
- 28:50Speaker 2: end of the bargain. And this is such an opportunity
- 28:54Speaker 2: for Trump to do that same thing. George Wallace also
- 28:58Speaker 2: decided he was a born again Christian. When that happens,
- 29:01Speaker 2: if Trump comes out as a born again Christian, this
- 29:03Speaker 2: election is over. It is done.
- 29:07Speaker 3: That was my first thought, is that he's going to
- 29:09Speaker 3: come back and be like, I gotta thank God.
- 29:11Speaker 6: It was God.
- 29:12Speaker 2: It's already happening. He has in interviews said people told
- 29:16Speaker 2: him it was a miracle. Vivek Ramaswami is that that
- 29:20Speaker 2: guy's name? Did I nail that guy's name?
- 29:22Speaker 6: Just? I think you actually did? Yeah?
- 29:24Speaker 2: Crazy? He posted a thing about how God intervened on
- 29:28Speaker 2: behalf of Trump and the country. So that's already the talk.
- 29:32Speaker 3: That's not even the craziest thing to think when a
- 29:34Speaker 3: bullet goes like a millimeter away from your fucking head,
- 29:37Speaker 3: you know.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Well, I brought this up on that solo podcast also,
- 29:41Speaker 2: and I'll just link to the solo pod in the
- 29:43Speaker 2: show notes if people want to listen to it. But
- 29:45Speaker 2: we did an episode about this on the Conspiracy Pod.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Evangelical Christians literally think God chose Trump. That's not hyperbole.
- 29:55Speaker 2: There's movies about it. We covered a movie called the
- 29:58Speaker 2: Trump Prophecy, and one of the ways Trump got elected
- 30:02Speaker 2: is this guy had a vision that Trump was gonna
- 30:05Speaker 2: be president. He goes to his psychiatrist about it, and
- 30:09Speaker 2: instead of you know, treating him, his psychiatrist goes, oh,
- 30:14Speaker 2: you should meet this woman, and he introduces her to
- 30:18Speaker 2: this evangelical networker who takes this guy's vision and fucking
- 30:22Speaker 2: runs with it. Sets up this daily prayer phone call
- 30:27Speaker 2: that by the end of it, there's hundreds of thousands
- 30:30Speaker 2: of people getting on the phone every day to pray
- 30:34Speaker 2: for Donald Trump to be president. And now those motherfuckers
- 30:38Speaker 2: just saw their God's chosen candidate narrowly escape death because
- 30:44Speaker 2: he was looking at a billboard full of immigration statistics.
- 30:47Speaker 2: What would you say if you were them?
- 30:50Speaker 3: I know, yeah, for sure, Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I get it. I get why they're like, man, that's
- 30:55Speaker 2: a fucking miracle, because here's the thing. If that happened
- 30:57Speaker 2: to me, I'd be like, yeah, I think that was
- 30:59Speaker 2: a fucking me miracle.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that's nuts.
- 31:02Speaker 3: At the very least, you'd be a bit more grateful
- 31:05Speaker 3: or something, you know.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I think all the time about this time when
- 31:09Speaker 2: I was at the mall when I was in high school,
- 31:11Speaker 2: and I was flipping through one of those poster displays. Yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 2: I was at a coach House Gifts, most.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Gen x store at the mall I've ever heard, by
- 31:19Speaker 3: the way, the coach House Gifts. I live off of
- 31:23Speaker 3: obscure retail references, and I have no idea what the
- 31:26Speaker 3: fucking coach House Gifts is.
- 31:28Speaker 2: It might have just been local to my mall, which
- 31:31Speaker 2: is very possible, but I was flipping through these posters
- 31:34Speaker 2: and I get to the last one and I immediately
- 31:36Speaker 2: looked away, and this friend who was with me noticed
- 31:40Speaker 2: that one of the poster things, like the frame, it
- 31:43Speaker 2: fell out of the display, and when he caught it,
- 31:46Speaker 2: the corner was like an inch from my fucking eye ball.
- 31:51Speaker 2: I would have been fucked up if he didn't catch
- 31:53Speaker 2: that thing, and like crazy, that's got to be how
- 31:56Speaker 2: Trump feels, but like ten thousand times more because I
- 32:00Speaker 2: would have had a fucked up eye. Trump's head would
- 32:02Speaker 2: have exploded on television.
- 32:04Speaker 6: It's actually interesting.
- 32:04Speaker 3: I haven't thought about the actual Trump's Like I wonder
- 32:07Speaker 3: if Trump himself is actually feeling a bit more like
- 32:10Speaker 3: he certainly pretends to be religious when it's advantageous to him,
- 32:13Speaker 3: but I wonder if he's actually like fucking maybe I
- 32:15Speaker 3: should get a spiritual advisor, you know, I mean.
- 32:18Speaker 2: If nothing else. He's also this whole time been hearing
- 32:22Speaker 2: people say, hey, your God's chosen candidate. And I'm sure
- 32:25Speaker 2: somewhere inside Trump was like, but that's not true. That
- 32:29Speaker 2: doesn't seem right at all. But now with the ego
- 32:33Speaker 2: that dude has, I guarantee you he's like, listen, God
- 32:37Speaker 2: has spoken, I'm your king. Now it's gonna be Trump's forever.
- 32:40Speaker 3: I can't wait to hear Baron's speaking voice because I
- 32:42Speaker 3: know whatever it is, it's gonna be hilarious.
- 32:45Speaker 6: Oh yeah, he's just gonna.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Sound like some kind of a Fortnight champion, you know.
- 32:48Speaker 6: Like, uh, hey, guys.
- 32:50Speaker 3: I think at this point if Joe Biden was like, everybody,
- 32:53Speaker 3: look under your chairs, there's a free car under there,
- 32:55Speaker 3: I don't even think that would work.
- 32:57Speaker 2: No, not at all.
- 32:58Speaker 3: What do you think about the actual shooter? What little
- 33:01Speaker 3: is trickled out about him? I've seen the video of
- 33:02Speaker 3: his classmate talking about him, describing a pretty typical lone
- 33:06Speaker 3: wolf type character.
- 33:07Speaker 6: You know, he was kind of shy. I got made
- 33:09Speaker 6: fun of it.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Seemed like this kid sort of went out of his
- 33:11Speaker 3: way to give him the time of day, and he
- 33:12Speaker 3: kind of felt bad.
- 33:13Speaker 2: You know, Yeah, what was the company? He's in a commercial?
- 33:17Speaker 3: A black rock commercial too. That's fucking weird. That's really
- 33:20Speaker 3: fucking weird man, that he's just as it happens to
- 33:23Speaker 3: be in a black rock commercial. And you have to
- 33:26Speaker 3: wonder they're shooting this black rock commercial, they get all
- 33:28Speaker 3: the different cute kids in this random classroom and they're like, Fuck,
- 33:31Speaker 3: this guy seems really lonely. He seems really isolated. Let's
- 33:34Speaker 3: put a pin in that we can use that from
- 33:37Speaker 3: a sketchy porno casting guy that's like a girl in
- 33:39Speaker 3: the crop top smoking a cigarette with three tattoos, just
- 33:42Speaker 3: turned eighteen outside of bar. I'm like, fuck, this is
- 33:45Speaker 3: go time, fourteen year old kid drawn swastika is in
- 33:47Speaker 3: his notebook.
- 33:48Speaker 6: Let's do it.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Yeah. I am intrigued by the fact that he's a
- 33:52Speaker 2: Republican or a registered Republican.
- 33:55Speaker 6: Donated to the pro Biden pack.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's weird.
- 33:59Speaker 3: He's an unders voted.
- 34:02Speaker 2: All of that is strange. I'm interested to find out
- 34:06Speaker 2: if they ever come up with a motive, because it's
- 34:10Speaker 2: going to really turn things on its head. If this
- 34:13Speaker 2: kid is like Trump was getting a little too liberal
- 34:15Speaker 2: for me, that will add a whole new dimension to
- 34:19Speaker 2: this because that The Unpopular Opinion episode that's coming out
- 34:24Speaker 2: next week spoiler Alert is about countries that are going
- 34:27Speaker 2: through similar political shit that we are. And I was
- 34:30Speaker 2: struggling to find a last story to talk about when
- 34:34Speaker 2: I heard that Trump survived in assassination temp and I
- 34:38Speaker 2: was like, has that happened recently anywhere. Yes, in May,
- 34:42Speaker 2: the Prime Minister of Slovakia was shot five times and survived.
- 34:48Speaker 3: I just can't imagine taking anything happening in Slovakia that seriously.
- 34:51Speaker 3: It's like, guys, you're killing the president of Slovakia.
- 34:55Speaker 6: What are we talking about here?
- 34:56Speaker 3: I'm demoted from being mayor of Nike town Cares.
- 35:00Speaker 2: And in that case, the same thing happened where the
- 35:05Speaker 2: prime minister supporters came out and were like, this is
- 35:08Speaker 2: the progressive wing and leftist insight and violence by criticizing
- 35:12Speaker 2: our policies. And then it turns out the guy who
- 35:14Speaker 2: shot him is super duper hard right and was just
- 35:18Speaker 2: mad that this guy wasn't hard right enough for him.
- 35:21Speaker 2: So yeah, so, and he was also a poet. Imagine
- 35:26Speaker 2: getting taken out by poet. That's embarrassing. Damn, that's Axl
- 35:31Speaker 2: Rose getting punched by Tommy Hill figure type stuff.
- 35:34Speaker 6: I don't know that story.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Oh that happened. Tommy Hill figure. I think moved Axel
- 35:39Speaker 2: Rose's girlfriend's drink so it didn't fall off the table,
- 35:43Speaker 2: and Axl Rose blew up about it and was like, oh,
- 35:45Speaker 2: touch my girlfriend's drink, Tommy Hi'll figure fucking laid his
- 35:49Speaker 2: ass out. It is one of my favorite stories of
- 35:52Speaker 2: all time.
- 35:52Speaker 3: I do hope that Axl Rose has to talk like
- 35:54Speaker 3: that where he has to kind of sing everything he
- 35:56Speaker 3: says like an Axl Rose song.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Me.
- 36:00Speaker 2: I don't know if I even have ever heard that
- 36:02Speaker 2: guy talk. I don't need to.
- 36:03Speaker 6: Would you want to?
- 36:04Speaker 2: I don't need it.
- 36:05Speaker 3: When you wrote shun no no no no no no knee, what.
- 36:08Speaker 6: Were you thinking?
- 36:10Speaker 2: So let's talk about another conspiracy that popped up, which
- 36:14Speaker 2: is innocent people being identified as the shooter. That happens
- 36:18Speaker 2: every time there's a mass shooting.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Of course, the sam Hide thing goes around every time.
- 36:23Speaker 3: That's always fun. There was one guy who looked like
- 36:26Speaker 3: the dude and he posted a picture of himself from
- 36:28Speaker 3: the angle that the shooter was at, and he's like,
- 36:31Speaker 3: oh fuck, it's about to be a long week. And
- 36:32Speaker 3: then pretty quickly everyone just started going another picture of
- 36:35Speaker 3: the shoot like he just everyone thought.
- 36:37Speaker 6: It was him.
- 36:37Speaker 3: So there's like a bunch of people with legit credits
- 36:39Speaker 3: in their bio with pictures of this guy on their feed,
- 36:42Speaker 3: like new images of the shooter found.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Yeah. In this case, an Italian sports journalist named Mark
- 36:48Speaker 2: Violets ended up being named as the shooter, and he
- 36:53Speaker 2: was in Italy at the time. He's also an Italian
- 36:57Speaker 2: sports journalist. What motivation would he have to kill Trump?
- 37:01Speaker 3: Mister Trump is disrespect for too tennis.
- 37:05Speaker 6: He does are not wear a Fila track suits.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I don't even know what accent I'm doing. Yeah, that
- 37:10Speaker 3: is really strange. I don't even understand why they thought that.
- 37:14Speaker 2: He claimed that there is and I have reason to
- 37:18Speaker 2: believe him because this happened. He said there is just
- 37:21Speaker 2: a group of people in his life who have been
- 37:24Speaker 2: harassing him routinely over the years, and this is just
- 37:27Speaker 2: one of the things they did to harass him further
- 37:31Speaker 2: and it just worked, probably way better than anything else they've.
- 37:34Speaker 6: Done, gang stocking or something.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Well, I don't think he meant that. He's a journalist
- 37:39Speaker 2: and he's presumably covering soccer if he's in Italy, And
- 37:44Speaker 2: I don't know if people know that much about soccer fans,
- 37:47Speaker 2: but they're bad times sometimes, especially in Italy.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Well, I was with make the point of people think
- 37:53Speaker 3: America's racist and then like at soccer games, when a
- 37:55Speaker 3: black team comes out, they start making monkey noises and
- 37:58Speaker 3: shit and throwing bananas. Shit that make you think, oh
- 38:00Speaker 3: my god, I thought we were barbaric.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a thing that always gave me a
- 38:05Speaker 2: little comfort. Is you can get an anti Semitic chant
- 38:09Speaker 2: going at a soccer match, or a racist chant going
- 38:13Speaker 2: at a soccer match in Europe, pretty easy. Try that
- 38:16Speaker 2: shit at Crypto dot com arena for an WNBA game.
- 38:21Speaker 2: You get fucking kneecapped by security in thirty five seconds.
- 38:24Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe we need a pinch of wokeness, you know.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Yeah, dash, Yeah, a little bit doesn't fucking hurt.
- 38:31Speaker 3: We're just laughing at Italian dudes and soccer Jersey's getting
- 38:33Speaker 3: the shit beaten out of him by black women in
- 38:35Speaker 3: Englewood at a Clippers game.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be amazing. So yeah, someone just made
- 38:41Speaker 2: that shit up. There was also reports that a guy
- 38:43Speaker 2: named Hank Pecker was the shooter.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Is that a Bart Simpson fake name? What he calls
- 38:49Speaker 3: most is lack.
- 38:51Speaker 2: It is actually a fake name because there is a
- 38:54Speaker 2: Twitch streamer named Hassan Piker and Hank Pecker is a
- 39:00Speaker 2: character he portrays online from time to time. He role
- 39:04Speaker 2: plays as a quote gun loving self proclaimed libertarian, and
- 39:08Speaker 2: the entire thread that people were pointing to claiming it
- 39:11Speaker 2: was from the shooter. Was a Hassan Piker thread from
- 39:15Speaker 2: twenty twenty two.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I'm glad some people got some cloud off this. Yeah, now,
- 39:19Speaker 3: it would have been a real shame if for the
- 39:20Speaker 3: fucking president was shot and nobody made their bones got
- 39:24Speaker 3: some followers.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean yeah, there's no way I wasn't gonna
- 39:28Speaker 2: drum up some content over this crazy drum.
- 39:32Speaker 3: It's time to drum up some content, boy, I tell you,
- 39:37Speaker 3: this is a damn in pamphlet from rfk's assassination.
- 39:41Speaker 2: All right, now, let's talk about one that is technically true.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Democrats wanted to end Trump's secret Service protection. That's true.
- 39:50Speaker 3: But yeah, I remember this.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't have anything to do with this assassination. Maybe,
- 39:56Speaker 2: see I say that. But also, if this was an
- 39:59Speaker 2: old conspirac and I heard that the government tried to
- 40:02Speaker 2: get the person's secret service protection ended, I'd be like, well,
- 40:06Speaker 2: that's suspicious, isn't it.
- 40:07Speaker 6: Oh?
- 40:07Speaker 3: Yeah, But I do think that the Aukam's raiser are
- 40:10Speaker 3: the stupidest, simplest explanation is probably the truest. What is
- 40:13Speaker 3: the acronym that this bill stands for? It's kind of ridiculous.
- 40:17Speaker 3: I guess what I'm saying. It sounds like one of
- 40:18Speaker 3: these pieces of legislation people pass just so they can
- 40:22Speaker 3: sort of put out a press release about proposing it,
- 40:24Speaker 3: Like I'm suggesting that Donald Trump changed his name to
- 40:28Speaker 3: doctor poopy Pants and he has to eat my big
- 40:31Speaker 3: fat turds every Sunday. It's called the poopy Pants at
- 40:35Speaker 3: you know, and it's just something you kind of like
- 40:37Speaker 3: fucking do to look posture in whatever political direction is
- 40:41Speaker 3: advantageous to you. But the way that they named it,
- 40:43Speaker 3: it's like, Okay, this is not like a serious piece
- 40:45Speaker 3: of legislation if this is your fucking name.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a bill introduced back in April by
- 40:51Speaker 2: a group of Democrats that would end Secret Service protection
- 40:54Speaker 2: quote for any person upon sentencing following conviction for a
- 40:58Speaker 2: federal or state offense that is punishable for a term
- 41:02Speaker 2: of imprisonment of at least one year end quote. And yeah,
- 41:06Speaker 2: the name of this bill is denying infinite security and
- 41:12Speaker 2: government resources allocated toward convicted and extremely dishonorable Former Protectees Act,
- 41:20Speaker 2: or if you want to shorten it, Disgraced Former Protectees Act,
- 41:25Speaker 2: which I don't think that's how acronyms work. Now you're
- 41:29Speaker 2: supposed to work all of the words in and he's
- 41:32Speaker 2: a cheeto, you know. It's Yeah, that does feel like
- 41:37Speaker 2: show up a little bit.
- 41:39Speaker 3: That is kind of fucked. I'm not like a fan
- 41:41Speaker 3: of the guy or anything, but it is a gigantic
- 41:43Speaker 3: liability being a president of the United States and walking
- 41:46Speaker 3: around and I suppose to the idea that you're supposed
- 41:48Speaker 3: to get permanent fucking bodyguard protection is not totally insane
- 41:51Speaker 3: to me.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Yeah, And if you strip all of the I don't
- 41:55Speaker 2: know the personalities out of it, all that really is
- 41:59Speaker 2: is the government imposing an additional penalty on someone for
- 42:04Speaker 2: a crime that they've already gone to jail, gone to court,
- 42:07Speaker 2: they've been convicted, they've been charged.
- 42:09Speaker 3: It's almost like expos factor, right, isn't that when you
- 42:12Speaker 3: prosecute someone for something they've already done.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Yeah, And we talk all the time about criminal justice
- 42:18Speaker 2: reform and how things need to be changed. So in
- 42:21Speaker 2: that case, even if it's Trump, I'm kind of like,
- 42:24Speaker 2: fuck that because it'll apply to someone who's not Trump
- 42:27Speaker 2: in the future. For one thing.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Yeah, just the idea that you can add further penalties
- 42:31Speaker 3: to something that's already happened, you know.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Yeah again. On the Solo Pod a few episodes back,
- 42:37Speaker 2: I talked about how the guy who is alleged to
- 42:40Speaker 2: have killed Tupac was trying to get released on bond
- 42:45Speaker 2: because he has cancer and he's having to eat all
- 42:48Speaker 2: these shitty processed foods and whatnot when he's in jail.
- 42:52Speaker 2: And am I supposed to not want that guy to
- 42:56Speaker 2: get treated fairly just because he's accused of killing Tupac,
- 42:59Speaker 2: Because no, I don't care who it is. If you're
- 43:01Speaker 2: in an American jail or prison, I am on the
- 43:05Speaker 2: side of you should probably be treated better than you
- 43:08Speaker 2: are right now?
- 43:09Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean what percentage of people come out
- 43:11Speaker 3: of our prison system reformed in any meaningful way?
- 43:15Speaker 2: Yeah? Almost Now.
- 43:16Speaker 3: It's almost reminds me of a Palaes die and you
- 43:18Speaker 3: know where people like fucking say they're acting like animals
- 43:20Speaker 3: and it's like, well, how are you treating them because
- 43:22Speaker 3: it's not like human beings.
- 43:23Speaker 2: There's a documentary series on Netflix called Unlocked, a jail experiment,
- 43:28Speaker 2: and it's an actual jail where they experimented with instead
- 43:32Speaker 2: of locking people in their cells for twenty three hours
- 43:35Speaker 2: a day, they just let everyone out for the entire day.
- 43:39Speaker 2: There's no guards inside the pod. It's like the real world. Basically,
- 43:45Speaker 2: it's very much when people stop being polite and start
- 43:48Speaker 2: being real and it's fascinating.
- 43:51Speaker 3: That does sound fascinating, And also how did that happen?
- 43:55Speaker 2: Well, that's the thing. There's so many people who when
- 43:57Speaker 2: they found out about it, started pushing back like, no,
- 44:00Speaker 2: we need to be tougher on criminals. And it's like,
- 44:03Speaker 2: they're already in jail. What else do you want?
- 44:07Speaker 3: Let the dudes play cards?
- 44:08Speaker 2: Yeah, the fact that they get to watch TV doesn't
- 44:11Speaker 2: make them a bigger threat to you than they would
- 44:14Speaker 2: have been otherwise.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Well, and when these guys like re Inner Society, they've
- 44:18Speaker 3: missed six years of Earth, you know, they're like, what
- 44:21Speaker 3: the fuck is the cell phone?
- 44:22Speaker 6: Who the fuck is Barack Obama? What is happening?
- 44:25Speaker 2: So, yeah, the thing where they wanted to remove Trump's
- 44:27Speaker 2: Secret Service protection, I don't know. I disagree with it.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I think if you're convicted of a crime and you
- 44:33Speaker 2: are sentenced accordingly, then fucking good enough. And also that
- 44:37Speaker 2: is the definition of a slippery slope when we start, yeah,
- 44:41Speaker 2: taking secret Service protection away for crimes obviously, but I
- 44:45Speaker 2: don't know, in what world do you want fewer government
- 44:50Speaker 2: agents surrounding a criminal? What sense does that? Maan, that's
- 44:55Speaker 2: a good point, keep them there to fucking rein him
- 44:57Speaker 2: in well.
- 44:58Speaker 3: And also it's just a bad look for any country.
- 45:00Speaker 3: I don't know if Bill Clinton and Barack Obama and
- 45:03Speaker 3: Georgia P. W. Bush had all fucking just been shot
- 45:05Speaker 3: at a trip to Wendy's or something. That's not exactly
- 45:08Speaker 3: great on our resume.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and so let's talk about this next one. We
- 45:12Speaker 2: got two left. There's one. People were asking why it
- 45:15Speaker 2: took Biden so long to respond, and reporters travel with
- 45:19Speaker 2: the president all the time, so that's an easy one
- 45:22Speaker 2: to explain. He was at a Saturday night mass. He
- 45:25Speaker 2: is at church when the shooting happened.
- 45:27Speaker 6: And Saturday that mass, so there was.
- 45:31Speaker 2: A little bit of a delay. But also, what the
- 45:34Speaker 2: fuck did you think Biden was gonna say.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Hey, foll get Biden gets up in mass, Hail Satan,
- 45:39Speaker 3: my dark Lord.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Ieron Battery just gets on TV and it's like,
- 45:43Speaker 2: we're gonna get this motherfucker. Whoa come on, Biden? Did
- 45:48Speaker 2: corn Pop do it?
- 45:49Speaker 3: There's that great Leicster holl it Cliff where he's like,
- 45:51Speaker 3: what are you gonna do if you have another performance
- 45:53Speaker 3: like you had at the debate?
- 45:55Speaker 6: I'm blind I having a performance debate.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Answer, Joe, good answer.
- 46:01Speaker 3: Joe Biden took a long time to respond because it
- 46:03Speaker 3: happened at like four pm, and he was like, fuck, dude,
- 46:06Speaker 3: I'm getting tired.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Yeah, he was eating dinner at four people. So the
- 46:11Speaker 2: last conspiracy I want to talk about is the idea
- 46:14Speaker 2: that Joe Biden ordered this, which is both the most
- 46:20Speaker 2: and least implausible thing.
- 46:22Speaker 6: I want you to trump and go pow.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Pow, because I did make a joke. I think a
- 46:28Speaker 2: lot of people made the joke when the Supreme Court
- 46:30Speaker 2: passed that ruling that presidents have immunity, and everyone was like,
- 46:35Speaker 2: so the president could just order Seal Team six to
- 46:38Speaker 2: kill someone, and they were talking about Trump. But I
- 46:40Speaker 2: was like, Biden's probably hearing that too, like oh.
- 46:44Speaker 4: Yeah, oh shit, maybea.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Culture bring it back. That is one of those weird
- 46:51Speaker 3: extrapolative arguments where until somebody goes and just commits the
- 46:54Speaker 3: war crime and does whatever, it's just a bunch of
- 46:57Speaker 3: different nerds arguing about how possible it is.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and when that debate started. There were all these
- 47:04Speaker 2: articles that were like, well, okay, that's sort of true,
- 47:08Speaker 2: but also the military wouldn't approve in order like that.
- 47:13Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, they wouldn't.
- 47:16Speaker 3: The military has never done any sketchy war crimey stuff.
- 47:19Speaker 3: You know, they never flew planes full age and orange
- 47:21Speaker 3: over Vietnam.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah, was there a gamer operating the drone that Obama
- 47:27Speaker 2: killed American citizens? That was the military. The military would
- 47:31Speaker 2: absolutely do it, And that seemed to be the only
- 47:35Speaker 2: obstacle was they were like, no, the military wouldn't carry
- 47:38Speaker 2: out in action like that.
- 47:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:40Speaker 3: If your whole argument is that someone in lected her
- 47:43Speaker 3: military power in America is going to be too moral
- 47:46Speaker 3: to do something, okay, I just kind of feel like,
- 47:48Speaker 3: grow up a little bit, you know.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Yeah. And I think as time goes on, things like
- 47:54Speaker 2: that are going to get wrapped up in what happened
- 47:57Speaker 2: to Trump, and they're going to be pointed to as
- 47:59Speaker 2: son that, hey, maybe the government tried to take out Trump.
- 48:03Speaker 3: Honestly, just knowing how people operate these pieces of information,
- 48:07Speaker 3: the disgraced ACKed thing and the president can do whatever
- 48:10Speaker 3: he wants thing, people will absolutely fucking come up with
- 48:13Speaker 3: a unified field theory of Joe Biden killed Donald Trump.
- 48:17Speaker 3: You know, all of these conspiracies will start to develop
- 48:20Speaker 3: their narratives and whatever. And I think it's important at
- 48:23Speaker 3: this point, when we're still learning new shit and shit
- 48:25Speaker 3: is still coming out, to just be wary of the
- 48:28Speaker 3: sub narrative that these people might be trying to inculcate
- 48:33Speaker 3: in your impressionable little head while they are synthesizing these
- 48:37Speaker 3: different pieces of information. A lot of times with conspiracies
- 48:40Speaker 3: or with political punditry in general, you can watch somebody
- 48:42Speaker 3: and I heard John Stewart say this once about Glenn Beck.
- 48:45Speaker 3: He's like, I cannot argue with his facts, but I
- 48:47Speaker 3: can argue with his conclusions. You know, So just because
- 48:50Speaker 3: someone may have some meaningful facts presented for you, be
- 48:53Speaker 3: wary of their conclusions.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Yeah. And I can definitely see this going that way.
- 48:59Speaker 2: And I think the thing that people are using to
- 49:03Speaker 2: promote this idea that Biden ordered Trump to be assassinated.
- 49:07Speaker 2: This is a good example of how with a conspiracy theory,
- 49:11Speaker 2: you can't just take all of the information as a whole.
- 49:15Speaker 2: You gotta dig into the details of each little individual piece.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Fifteen years from now, the disgraced Act is going to
- 49:23Speaker 2: look really damning when it comes to the idea that
- 49:26Speaker 2: maybe the government went after Trump. But yeah, one of
- 49:29Speaker 2: the things you would have to take into account even
- 49:31Speaker 2: fifteen years from now is that had no fucking chance
- 49:36Speaker 2: of passing the Republicans control Congress or there's not enough
- 49:41Speaker 2: of a majority for it.
- 49:42Speaker 6: That speck to.
- 49:42Speaker 3: My point about it being a piece of vanity legislation. Yeah,
- 49:46Speaker 3: you know, like the Tiny Hands Act. Every president must
- 49:49Speaker 3: have hands that are at least this big to run
- 49:52Speaker 3: the country.
- 49:52Speaker 6: Take that, mister cheeto man.
- 49:55Speaker 2: And when this is getting passed around as the government
- 49:58Speaker 2: did it, thing will also point to the Supreme Court
- 50:01Speaker 2: making that ruling and being like, well, president can have
- 50:04Speaker 2: a rival assassinated now, and it's like, yeah, the conservative
- 50:08Speaker 2: Supreme Court.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I like the idea that it's turning government into a
- 50:12Speaker 3: game of call of duty, a juggernaut where there's one
- 50:14Speaker 3: really powerful character and then the other team has to
- 50:17Speaker 3: try to get him, you know, until they can be
- 50:18Speaker 3: that guy and then they have to kill everybody else.
- 50:20Speaker 2: And with what's going around currently with Biden, I feel
- 50:23Speaker 2: like this is another thing that people will point two
- 50:26Speaker 2: years from now without bothering to get the entire context,
- 50:30Speaker 2: because there is a little something to this theory that
- 50:35Speaker 2: Biden ordered the assassination of Trump, in that there is
- 50:39Speaker 2: an actual audio recording of Biden saying, we need to
- 50:44Speaker 2: put Trump in the bull's eye. He said it on
- 50:46Speaker 2: a call with donors that was not supposed to be
- 50:50Speaker 2: recorded and released, but someone recorded and released it.
- 50:53Speaker 3: Shout out to that guy. If you work in the government,
- 50:56Speaker 3: leaks toff for be a nark.
- 50:57Speaker 6: Yeah, be fun, you know.
- 50:58Speaker 2: And the thing about that statement, they recorded this call
- 51:04Speaker 2: and people are just focusing on the we need to
- 51:06Speaker 2: put Trump in the bullseye.
- 51:08Speaker 3: That was George Soros's secret key phrase to activate his
- 51:13Speaker 3: underground army of in cell snipers.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Right after the debate is when Biden said it. But
- 51:19Speaker 2: this is the whole quote. We're done talking about the debate.
- 51:23Speaker 2: It's time to put Trump in the bull's eye. We
- 51:25Speaker 2: can't go another day, another day without explaining what he's doing,
- 51:30Speaker 2: and we have to go after him. End quote. So
- 51:33Speaker 2: he's just talking about attacking Trump's history and policies on
- 51:39Speaker 2: the campaign trail.
- 51:40Speaker 3: Well, the good news, Adam is I bet that every
- 51:42Speaker 3: single person on the Internet is going to take that
- 51:44Speaker 3: quote in the complete context.
- 51:46Speaker 6: That it was set originally.
- 51:47Speaker 3: Absolutely, if there's the one thing I know about X
- 51:50Speaker 3: dot Com.
- 51:51Speaker 2: And like, I get that Biden seems to be slipping
- 51:55Speaker 2: a little mentally, but I don't think he's so Yeah,
- 52:00Speaker 2: I don't think he's so bad off that he would
- 52:02Speaker 2: just admit that he's going to have Trump killed on
- 52:05Speaker 2: a phone call with donors. That would be a bold
- 52:08Speaker 2: step in that plan, I would argue.
- 52:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I have a number of relatives that are senile
- 52:14Speaker 3: and very sad to watch someone lose their mental tackle. Yeah,
- 52:17Speaker 3: I sort of feel that, you know, watching this process unfold,
- 52:20Speaker 3: I have an ability to kind of extrapolate the magnitudes
- 52:23Speaker 3: of his brain farts.
- 52:25Speaker 5: And I think that even Joe Biden would know if
- 52:28Speaker 5: he hadn't see a secret assassination to tempt like, okay,
- 52:32Speaker 5: keep that one close to the fucking sweater vest, Joe.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Yeah. And so I think that's our episode. Do we
- 52:40Speaker 2: have any final thoughts other than we are probably fucked
- 52:44Speaker 2: as a nation. I think most people get that part.
- 52:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 52:47Speaker 3: I guess just back to what I said earlier about
- 52:50Speaker 3: you know, and be wary of the conclusions people draw
- 52:52Speaker 3: from the information that's out there.
- 52:54Speaker 6: Yeah, Yeah, you know, I don't know a lot of
- 52:57Speaker 6: times you can you.
- 52:58Speaker 3: See something that can like it's fucking really interesting and
- 53:00Speaker 3: compelling for like three days until you find out something
- 53:03Speaker 3: else and you're like, oh, it's jumps, all booz all bullshit.
- 53:05Speaker 5: You know.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's a good place to end. Connor,
