- 0:06Speaker 2: On Instagram, YouTube and ticked off for for Dogs four
- 0:11Speaker 2: to seven every weekday on radio.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Here can a Fellows Mad.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Dog coming to you live from Full Sight Bar Stadium
- 0:21Speaker 3: and Dunedin for the Beer Festival.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Aren't we feelings?
- 0:23Speaker 1: We sure are? And I just want to describe this
- 0:25Speaker 1: scene for all the listeners out there seriously. I know
- 0:27Speaker 1: we tend to go a little bit overboard sometimes when
- 0:30Speaker 1: we're on location, but fuck me, what a setup.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Oh my god, Fellows.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely it is.
- 0:40Speaker 5: And they put a roof on special for us, yes,
- 0:42Speaker 5: which is a bloody good idea when you've got to
- 0:44Speaker 5: be a festival down here on the green of the
- 0:47Speaker 5: field where so many great memories have been made in
- 0:50Speaker 5: the sporting world. It's made for purpose football stadium rugby, yes,
- 0:56Speaker 5: and I don't know how many of these there are
- 0:58Speaker 5: in the country, to be honest with.
- 0:59Speaker 1: You, Stay Wims, You're the only one.
- 1:01Speaker 5: Was only covered, certainly, but how many stadiums are even
- 1:04Speaker 5: just purpose built for rugby alone?
- 1:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's always cricket through stock cars, yea stock.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I don't know about you guys. When I find myself
- 1:13Speaker 1: in a situation like this and you're standing on the field,
- 1:15Speaker 1: do you fantasize about being one of the players having
- 1:18Speaker 1: a dash down the sideline they're going for the trial.
- 1:22Speaker 5: I would, but there's so many great food and alcohol
- 1:25Speaker 5: stands here you just get way laid my mind.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I fantasize about going for a bit of a
- 1:30Speaker 3: run down the side of those stools there and with
- 1:32Speaker 3: my cap, because you get issued a cup when you
- 1:34Speaker 3: walk in, and it says look full poor, half poor,
- 1:37Speaker 3: or a taster. So every store you can either pay
- 1:40Speaker 3: like a few bucks for a little taster.
- 1:41Speaker 4: There you go full right in my glass.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You go full poor every time.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Wouldn't you easy.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Notice over there straight across me, because of course I'm
- 1:50Speaker 5: on the wagon fields. You won't find me with a
- 1:52Speaker 5: drink of me and today. But I've just seen a
- 1:54Speaker 5: margarita stand over there.
- 1:56Speaker 2: You do love a margarita. I do know that.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Didn't They used to call you agarita Mogi they did, Yeah,
- 2:02Speaker 3: moga rida mogurita.
- 2:03Speaker 4: That's right, old frozen magarita.
- 2:07Speaker 5: So I might go and have a look at that
- 2:08Speaker 5: later on, but I won't have any You've got a
- 2:11Speaker 5: whole bunch of gin here as well.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I was surprised that you got your gins your
- 2:16Speaker 1: spirits going on as well. I bet there's some pretty
- 2:18Speaker 1: tasty brewis Oh.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Yeah, so when you're with your wagon, right, yeah? Is
- 2:23Speaker 3: it just I'm going to save it for the summer holidays.
- 2:26Speaker 5: I'm saving it for the summer holidays, kisy. I've just
- 2:28Speaker 5: got too much work to do between now and then.
- 2:31Speaker 5: And because I'm not piss fit now. Had I been
- 2:34Speaker 5: drinking all year, I'll be sweet, but I'm not perfect.
- 2:36Speaker 5: So if I drink, I'm just cooked until Wednesday Thursday.
- 2:40Speaker 5: It's just no good for my working week. Man, I
- 2:42Speaker 5: get shame. I get a great amount of shame. I
- 2:43Speaker 5: still work, but I'm lucky that I've got a high.
- 2:47Speaker 5: It doesn't take much to make me feel shame, right, Yes,
- 2:50Speaker 5: And so it's just better if I just don't drink
- 2:53Speaker 5: at all, and then I get my work done and
- 2:54Speaker 5: I'll feel happy.
- 2:55Speaker 3: One of the things I've I think I've only ever
- 2:57Speaker 3: felt like once or twice maybe is that aim after drinking? Right,
- 3:01Speaker 3: But that's because I don't think and I think we've
- 3:03Speaker 3: talked about this. I don't think I crossed that threshold
- 3:05Speaker 3: of what the fuck did I do last night.
- 3:08Speaker 4: No, I don't think I have, and.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I don't and I don't do that either anymore.
- 3:12Speaker 5: I certainly did in my twenties because I just drink
- 3:15Speaker 5: it too oblivion.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and just wake up it.
- 3:18Speaker 5: Oh God, apologize what a pizza shit. But now it's
- 3:23Speaker 5: not there. It's just that my energy is it about?
- 3:26Speaker 5: It's fifty.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It is a hangover four days long.
- 3:31Speaker 5: I can't help it. Like last week you look at
- 3:32Speaker 5: last weekendkiezy, I'm not drinking.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I go home.
- 3:35Speaker 5: My wife is seven o'class of showered at eight two
- 3:37Speaker 5: o'clock in the morning. I finished up. The next day
- 3:39Speaker 5: we do the cricket. I'm drinking all through the cricket.
- 3:41Speaker 5: The next day we're watching the rugby league. So I
- 3:44Speaker 5: go from not drinking to drinking for three days. Yeah,
- 3:47Speaker 5: it's no good. It is no good, Ma good. So
- 3:49Speaker 5: what I've done today is I've allowed myself a packet
- 3:51Speaker 5: of dart and that's my treat.
- 3:53Speaker 2: But no booze.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Right, yeah, do you have a treat hood, j I
- 3:57Speaker 1: it was just a treat being here fellas.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Oh that's good stuff from you man.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah, But I'll be a little bit honest with you.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I'm not feeling one hundred percent myself. But it's not
- 4:07Speaker 1: that it's not booze related. I've got some sort of
- 4:10Speaker 1: weird gas and it's causing me a great deal of grief.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I feel like it's either the big sea or just
- 4:18Speaker 3: stress related.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I don't know, but it's right there between my lungs.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It's like a big bubble and it's just very uncomfortable.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I can't quite I can't shake it.
- 4:28Speaker 5: Why don't you get that fella to squeeze me? No too,
- 4:32Speaker 5: I was going to say, pick you up some quickies,
- 4:34Speaker 5: but you could do both.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe you might as well get Also, Also, if
- 4:39Speaker 3: you drink something fizzy, you might be able to just
- 4:41Speaker 3: burp it up.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Maybe maybe I need to do any to throw.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Me over your shoulder and just pat pat my ass
- 4:49Speaker 1: and you might help me easy.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Seriously, Oh, I will burp you if you need, Okay,
- 4:53Speaker 3: because we're pretty close now, I'll happily do that.
- 4:55Speaker 4: You won't throw up on my shoulder?
- 4:57Speaker 1: No, I don't think so. Although I did have quite
- 4:59Speaker 1: a big brunch.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Well no you didn't.
- 5:02Speaker 4: You had half of a salmon bagel.
- 5:04Speaker 1: No, I had two a salmon poachees with holiday. You
- 5:10Speaker 1: did both of the I did you did well done,
- 5:13Speaker 1: pretty much all of it, just not the crust a
- 5:14Speaker 1: big boy, thanks fellows.
- 5:17Speaker 3: The Whoarchy Big Show days from four on Radio Hierarchy
- 5:23Speaker 3: remember with the ha Warchy Big Show podcast.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It really is a really fantastic setup. I think it's
- 5:31Speaker 1: my favorite one.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Really of all the beer festival.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, of all the beer festivals. It's just well, there's
- 5:36Speaker 1: something about it being on really lush green grass. Yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 1: everything sort of protected. There's no wind or rain or
- 5:43Speaker 1: any of that sort of carry on. This is a
- 5:45Speaker 1: really good vibe.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I'd say.
- 5:46Speaker 3: The only thing letting it down is that it's inter needed, which,
- 5:48Speaker 3: as we all know, is a massive shithole.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Well, if you want a you know, we often say, God,
- 5:55Speaker 1: I wish I lived in this sort of time. You know,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I think I would have liked this time better. If
- 6:00Speaker 1: you want a good taste of nineteen seventies New Zealand,
- 6:04Speaker 1: Dnetan's the place to be, is it.
- 6:06Speaker 3: There's a lot of like we went for a wee
- 6:08Speaker 3: walk earlier today, make you are you were doing work?
- 6:11Speaker 4: We went for a walk and there's a lot of strange,
- 6:14Speaker 4: weird shots.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Ah right, there was I tell you what, because we
- 6:17Speaker 5: were we having a yarn about buskers. Oh I know,
- 6:21Speaker 5: actually we're doing that on the ACC commentary, the Wellington
- 6:23Speaker 5: buskers and you sort of back in the day you
- 6:25Speaker 5: knew them all by name. There's about six of them
- 6:26Speaker 5: that are part of the community. There was Blanket Man,
- 6:29Speaker 5: there was Juggle far Balls guy. There was Kenny Rodgers.
- 6:32Speaker 5: There was all these guys who was walking around the
- 6:35Speaker 5: blanket with one busy hanging out lady. So there's a bust.
- 6:40Speaker 5: They were just the homeless people and they're just part
- 6:42Speaker 5: of it, their buskers. But they were also homeless, yes,
- 6:45Speaker 5: but now it's just people on meth that are going
- 6:47Speaker 5: to beat you up. Never lost their personality. But I
- 6:49Speaker 5: was looking through Dunedin today and there was an old
- 6:52Speaker 5: basket out there singing a song.
- 6:55Speaker 2: You know. He was in his seventies.
- 6:57Speaker 5: He should have been in some kind of a mental
- 6:59Speaker 5: mental health, but he was and he was on the
- 7:01Speaker 5: streets building out of tune. Horrendous with his guitar. But no,
- 7:04Speaker 5: no complete character. Couldn't sing for ship had a chili
- 7:08Speaker 5: bind is the container for people to put but also
- 7:13Speaker 5: too big, yes, but a real character, terrible at what
- 7:17Speaker 5: he was doing.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Chiliban guy Chilibin like Chilian is like that's his thing.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Yeah, that's right, and people, you know, students will come
- 7:23Speaker 5: past and puke on all.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, sort of ship.
- 7:26Speaker 1: But it was really funny because I know the guy
- 7:28Speaker 1: you were thinking of, Keezy, there was a guy there
- 7:30Speaker 1: who was also had his guitar and what's called the
- 7:34Speaker 1: guitar his guitar, oh yeah, the octagon. He was strumming
- 7:38Speaker 1: along too, and and then he was walking past us
- 7:41Speaker 1: as as we were walking down the street, and he
- 7:43Speaker 1: looked at me and gave me the most shit, evil
- 7:46Speaker 1: fucking look.
- 7:47Speaker 2: But he made the mistake of looking I looked.
- 7:49Speaker 4: At him, and he was just like, that's what you do.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you never look at them.
- 7:52Speaker 3: You always eye contact the main When I say there,
- 7:55Speaker 3: I mean, that's not what it is.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Not Come on, well, people that are potentially not going
- 8:04Speaker 5: to have a normal reaction to look at them.
- 8:06Speaker 3: People that are looking for confrontation. You will eyeball them
- 8:09Speaker 3: and do the old up and down the body and
- 8:11Speaker 3: then do the connection.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Well I don't even do the app I just steer
- 8:15Speaker 1: at their downstairs, Yeah, right, which I do.
- 8:18Speaker 5: I mean that's all we go eyes downstairs and look
- 8:20Speaker 5: back of the eyes and then raise the eyebrows.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And then as they walking past, I go button mushroom.
- 8:25Speaker 2: You say that like, oh really, and it's always keasy.
- 8:29Speaker 2: But I mean I looked.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I wasn't sort of directly steering at his eye. What
- 8:35Speaker 1: I looked in his eyes? And I gave him a
- 8:37Speaker 1: little smile, you know, like a little very patronizing man,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you know, like I was saying yesterday, what about you know,
- 8:45Speaker 1: walking past people on the street doing the sort of
- 8:47Speaker 1: eyebrow for the radio.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I hate it when people do that. And also
- 8:52Speaker 3: the people I do that to usually aren't on myth
- 8:56Speaker 3: But you know, there was a study done and this
- 8:58Speaker 3: is one of those I heard this fact ten years ago,
- 9:00Speaker 3: and it was like where males and females where their
- 9:04Speaker 3: eyes are drawn to as soon as they see someone new,
- 9:07Speaker 3: all dudes look at the crutch of both males and females.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I fellers, I've got to tell you this.
- 9:14Speaker 4: The other day, Oh God, who did he look at?
- 9:16Speaker 1: I was in a group. This is a true story.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I was in a group situation and I totally innocently
- 9:27Speaker 1: looked at a woman's cleavage. Was well, I it wasn't.
- 9:33Speaker 1: I wasn't peering at it. I just turned and the
- 9:37Speaker 1: height of her cleavage was about my eye height, so
- 9:40Speaker 1: she was quite short.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Then she was.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Quite short, and I looked at her cleavage, and just
- 9:45Speaker 1: at the moment that happened, she looked at me.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Was it at work? Not at our work?
- 9:51Speaker 1: And I went and I went from her cleavage to
- 9:55Speaker 1: her eyes and it was like, oh no, I wasn't looking.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I mean not you was looking, but it was just
- 10:03Speaker 1: where my eye and a towel.
- 10:05Speaker 5: But the way I looked at her was she's looking away.
- 10:08Speaker 5: She turns around like she's not looking straight in front
- 10:11Speaker 5: of her. She turns to her right and sees you
- 10:14Speaker 5: taking advantage of the fact that she's looking away. Absolute
- 10:18Speaker 5: eyeful Aruga aruga, classic cord.
- 10:22Speaker 2: He cheers, and then she was like and she's like,
- 10:26Speaker 2: look at this fucking scum.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It was just and it all happened in the space
- 10:31Speaker 1: of like two seconds.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Is this a person you're going to be working with again?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yes? Did you talk about it? No? Oh god?
- 10:37Speaker 1: So what do I do? I go up to her
- 10:39Speaker 1: and I go listen. Actually, I wasn't looking at your cleavage.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It's just that I turned at that moment and I
- 10:46Speaker 1: saw your cleave, but she was at my eye level
- 10:48Speaker 1: and then I looked up. Yes, And it's one of
- 10:51Speaker 1: those situations that's fought because then she's like, Okay, now
- 10:56Speaker 1: you're talking to me about looking at my cleap and
- 10:59Speaker 1: that's creeping.
- 11:00Speaker 2: You're right, you would be up on charges.
- 11:01Speaker 3: But I don't know if you front foot it, if
- 11:03Speaker 3: you say, hey, look, can you explain to see.
- 11:06Speaker 2: What I should have just thrown up? Chase?
- 11:10Speaker 5: The only got killed by falling falling Nico palm tree
- 11:16Speaker 5: just toppled over and Chase, what a way to go
- 11:21Speaker 5: that would have been?
- 11:23Speaker 4: There was calmer for checking out that lady's busy.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, totally you had just but was totally innocent.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I don't promise it was innocent.
- 11:30Speaker 5: The double farms up would have been the one yeah
- 11:34Speaker 5: or the like nod like.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Not bad but not bad into it?
- 11:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Hey, thanks for listening.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I reckon.
- 11:41Speaker 3: You should listen to the radio four seven weekdays on
- 11:44Speaker 3: Radio Hodaki.
- 11:45Speaker 4: It's the big show.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Did all those dudes over there wearing that my the
- 11:49Speaker 1: Hoidy j Red chick a.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Ship look at that pointing at you farmers.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I look at the cleaver of John that dude,
