- 0:03Speaker 1: Well, that was fun. Did you enjoy yourself?
- 0:06Speaker 2: No?
- 0:07Speaker 3: What was your favorite hour of the five and a halfs?
- 0:11Speaker 3: All round up to see?
- 0:12Speaker 4: After six?
- 0:13Speaker 1: After six, dinner and a drink?
- 0:16Speaker 4: After six was six or six o'clock came and went.
- 0:19Speaker 1: That was fun.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Though it was, it wasn't bad because there were so
- 0:22Speaker 4: many things that happened. There was a lot of action
- 0:24Speaker 4: that was happening, so I didn't mind it. You know,
- 0:28Speaker 4: the big name I guess was Ali Ruchman, who got
- 0:30Speaker 4: who went yesterday? Other than that, there wasn't a ton
- 0:34Speaker 4: of huge names, which we've come to expect. Every GM
- 0:37Speaker 4: is so risk averse. They're so worried about trading their
- 0:39Speaker 4: third best prospect because seven years from now he might
- 0:42Speaker 4: be an All Star and then they might say, oh,
- 0:44Speaker 4: you didn't win the World Series, but you traded Joe
- 0:47Speaker 4: Schmoe for this guy and you made a run for it.
- 0:49Speaker 4: So it doesn't surprise me. But there was a lot
- 0:53Speaker 4: of action. There was a lot of smaller trades, a
- 0:55Speaker 4: lot of teams helped themselves. We went all through it.
- 0:56Speaker 4: There's a million clips of us talking about all the
- 0:59Speaker 4: teams with the million different people. So it was it
- 1:03Speaker 4: wasn't as bad. Let me say this, It wasn't as
- 1:04Speaker 4: bad as I thought it was gonna because I was like, oh,
- 1:06Speaker 4: nothing happens, We're to look at Scott for five hours.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I thought nothing was going to happen.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Last year we had thirty some odd trades, and then
- 1:13Speaker 3: this year I think we might have even gotten to forty.
- 1:15Speaker 4: But there are some years where there's been like five.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I think those days are over because also everyone
- 1:21Speaker 3: trades are free agents that and unless the're.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Going to give them a qualifying offer, that's the only
- 1:26Speaker 4: way they don't get traded.
- 1:28Speaker 3: The other part of the equation is that they all
- 1:30Speaker 3: wait until the last twenty four to thirty six hours.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I think it used to be a little bit more
- 1:35Speaker 1: spread out.
- 1:36Speaker 3: You think, yes, now they need a deadline to get
- 1:39Speaker 3: their homework done, and they did. Many teams did their
- 1:42Speaker 3: homework real quick before we get to winners, losers, and snoozers.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Great day on the show yesterday and for the network
- 1:51Speaker 3: if you would like to subscribe while you're watching right now,
- 1:53Speaker 3: that'd be awesome. FT yesterday close to one hundred k
- 1:59Speaker 3: on the live show and about three quarters of a
- 2:04Speaker 3: million views in the last week on the FT content,
- 2:08Speaker 3: not the whole network, just talking about the ft YouTube channel,
- 2:10Speaker 3: the network itself obviously blowing past all of that too.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Over thirty shows and a Trek Scoogble shirt. I'll show
- 2:17Speaker 3: you another shirt later on in the show too, but
- 2:20Speaker 3: we are able to roll out those player shirts available
- 2:23Speaker 3: now at foul Territory shop dot com by the way, exactly,
- 2:28Speaker 3: so get your shirt while it's hot, Terrek Schouble, Dodgers
- 2:33Speaker 3: or you know, if you're not a Dodger fan, you
- 2:35Speaker 3: want to do something to the shirt. I'm not telling
- 2:37Speaker 3: you what to do with your life, all right, ready
- 2:40Speaker 3: to charge, Let's charge out. The Athletic will help us
- 2:46Speaker 3: here with MLB trade deadline rankings, winners, losers, and snoozers.
- 2:50Speaker 1: We're gonna start with winners.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I know you love snoozers, and there are many of them,
- 2:54Speaker 3: so do not touch that dial.
- 2:57Speaker 1: But let's start with this one.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Andy mccallis, stephen Nesbit, Grant Brisbee putting this together on
- 3:02Speaker 3: the Athletic and we're going to show you the big
- 3:04Speaker 3: board winners first, Red Sox and Cubs right up there.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Those were the two that you and Kratz brought up
- 3:11Speaker 3: right away when we got to the end of the
- 3:14Speaker 3: Trade Deadline show on Monday. The Angels are listed here
- 3:19Speaker 3: for trading some pieces. Why wouldn't they be winners? I
- 3:22Speaker 3: just saw your face smirk a little bit. You have
- 3:25Speaker 3: to consider the context.
- 3:26Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, I'm not smirking a you're okay with this?
- 3:28Speaker 4: I was just thinking like Krats. I also said the
- 3:32Speaker 4: Cubs and the Red Sox were big winner.
- 3:33Speaker 3: So I said you and Kratz. I said you, and
- 3:36Speaker 3: Kratz at the end of the show said I didn't.
- 3:39Speaker 3: I'd never forget about you. You're sitting too close to
- 3:41Speaker 3: me for me to forget Boston and Chicago. The Cubs
- 3:44Speaker 3: winners along with the Angels, the Dodgers, of course, was Scoogle.
- 3:47Speaker 3: The Phillies filled needs in the bullpen and with the
- 3:50Speaker 3: Louisa Rise. Yeah, the it wasn't as conventional as what
- 3:54Speaker 3: we thought they were going to do, but it was
- 3:55Speaker 3: the thing.
- 3:55Speaker 1: The Padres picked up two starters.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I think that was huge case and Robbie Raight can
- 4:01Speaker 3: pitch playoff games for you. The Giants were able to
- 4:04Speaker 3: unload and pick up a number of prospects. It's tougher
- 4:07Speaker 3: to give wins to team.
- 4:08Speaker 4: The Blue Jays. I really liked what the Blue Jays
- 4:10Speaker 4: did because they were planning there. Know they're not winning
- 4:12Speaker 4: this year, but they made moves to get better for
- 4:14Speaker 4: the next year or two. And I thought that was
- 4:18Speaker 4: really smart. With what the Blue Jays did, I really
- 4:20Speaker 4: liked what they did.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Two long term starters, Jose Soriano and Spencer Arroghetti.
- 4:24Speaker 4: M h, and you already have your Savage, you already
- 4:26Speaker 4: have DEALNC. So there's four or five already covered.
- 4:29Speaker 3: And I get how they put four sellers on here
- 4:32Speaker 3: as winners. The Angels, the Giants, the Cardinals, and the Nationals.
- 4:37Speaker 3: To me, it's hard to grade those as easily until
- 4:41Speaker 3: we see what the prospect package looks like long term.
- 4:46Speaker 3: But this is a world of instant gratification, so we'll
- 4:49Speaker 3: give those teams some wins losers. They have the Diamondbacks,
- 4:56Speaker 3: the A's, the Orioles, the White Sox, the Tigers, the Brewers.
- 5:01Speaker 1: The Mets, and the Yankees. Let's run through this.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Diamondbacks didn't do much. Yeah, they got newke.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Bar, so shouldn't they be more in the snoozer category?
- 5:10Speaker 4: Yeah? And A's definitely should be in the snoozers. They
- 5:12Speaker 4: didn't do anything. They were the only team that didn't
- 5:13Speaker 4: make a trade, right, a major league trade.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I believe, So I'm going to go through because they're
- 5:19Speaker 3: backing this stuff up, right, So they're like, sure, the
- 5:21Speaker 3: Diamondbacks got large new bar, they were going to need
- 5:25Speaker 3: a lot more run prevention to compete in this wild
- 5:28Speaker 3: card situation. Okay, So then to me, that's a snoozer.
- 5:33Speaker 3: So we're going to have to go over the definition
- 5:34Speaker 3: of loser versus snooze.
- 5:36Speaker 4: They didn't do anything, they said, Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 3: They didn't do anything, So aren't they the prime snoozer loser?
- 5:46Speaker 1: I mean, sorry snoozer.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Yeah. Orioles only lost because they they lost their guy
- 5:51Speaker 4: who they thought was going to be their franchise face
- 5:54Speaker 4: and catcher in Adlee Retchman. Well, no, and they didn't
- 5:57Speaker 4: trade Rogers, Like, what's you're playing? What's the that's kind
- 6:01Speaker 4: of thing. That's why, because the fans are like, what
- 6:03Speaker 4: are we doing? Are we trying or not trying?
- 6:05Speaker 3: This is something that I've been saying for years now.
- 6:08Speaker 3: And I went on a radio station in Baltimore. The
- 6:11Speaker 3: fan there right before the trade deadline and was in
- 6:14Speaker 3: fear that they were going to do this again based
- 6:15Speaker 3: on public comments from front office.
- 6:18Speaker 1: We'll see what the market's offering us.
- 6:20Speaker 3: So your whole life is just based on what the
- 6:22Speaker 3: market's offering you. You need to make an internal decision
- 6:25Speaker 3: first on what you're doing as a ball club. They
- 6:29Speaker 3: more sold, of course than bought, but it's just strange
- 6:33Speaker 3: to not all out sell. So you're like, I'm going
- 6:36Speaker 3: to kind of sell and that includes someone who's a
- 6:38Speaker 3: free agent after this season, and Trevor Rodgers I agreed.
- 6:41Speaker 4: So I don't know that one's and here's the next one.
- 6:43Speaker 4: The White Sox losers. They're more in the They got
- 6:47Speaker 4: a starting pitcher, they got a reliever, they got a catcher,
- 6:51Speaker 4: and they got an outfielder.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I don't I think they're winners.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I don't know why. Maybe because it wasn't gigantic names
- 6:56Speaker 4: that they thought they were going to get. But I
- 6:59Speaker 4: didn't think that they were that it was an awful
- 7:02Speaker 4: for the White Sox. I thought they actually maybe because
- 7:05Speaker 4: they didn't go get a huge name. But I thought
- 7:07Speaker 4: they did well for what they were And there were
- 7:10Speaker 4: some more things I heard in the fire. But the
- 7:12Speaker 4: price is so high that they weren'ting to match it.
- 7:15Speaker 3: And that's fine that they pinned the losing on the
- 7:19Speaker 3: fact that they took on so much Luis Casill.
- 7:21Speaker 4: That I agree with. That was a surprise. They took
- 7:23Speaker 4: on him next year.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yeah, so they took on about thirty million bucks for
- 7:26Speaker 3: a team that's got a baby payroll right now.
- 7:30Speaker 4: That's in a big market. So next time someone tells
- 7:31Speaker 4: you the White Sox are a small market team, go
- 7:34Speaker 4: look at Chicago. How big big Chicago is. I was
- 7:36Speaker 4: there last weekend. Yeah, it is not a small city.
- 7:39Speaker 3: But I actually I think I still think they're winners. Right,
- 7:43Speaker 3: you're able to fill a rotation spot. We don't have
- 7:46Speaker 3: the Brosman.
- 7:48Speaker 4: They've got a gold glove centerfielder in Doyle, and they
- 7:51Speaker 4: got a right handed hitten catcher. Now, was Joey Bart
- 7:53Speaker 4: the greatest thing ever? No, but he's serviceable.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yep.
- 7:59Speaker 3: For parents looking for a new path to help your
- 8:01Speaker 3: child succeed this year, there's still time to enroll in

- 8:17Speaker 2: the run. I mean, look at myself from playing baseball

- 8:58Speaker 3: So I disagree there on the white side. I disagree
- 9:01Speaker 3: on the Mets too. Why are they losers if some
- 9:04Speaker 3: of those other teams that sold are winners.
- 9:07Speaker 4: I mean, maybe they didn't get the prospect.
- 9:09Speaker 3: They got a guy in that cub's trade, which was
- 9:12Speaker 3: a short term trade, who instantly goes to either one
- 9:15Speaker 3: or two depending on the prospect.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Ward you're looking at Jefferson Rojas.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Now the Tigers are losers just because they lost school.
- 9:21Speaker 4: But they didn't trade Glaber. They didn't. I mean they
- 9:23Speaker 4: trade they lost school in maze, yeah, but they didn't
- 9:25Speaker 4: get Glay. Maybe it's their losers because they didn't get
- 9:28Speaker 4: the right prospects back or it could have got more.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Maybe, but man, the Medicans bothered me.
- 9:32Speaker 3: They're cherry picking here because they're saying, like the Mets
- 9:35Speaker 3: season was the loser. But that doesn't have to do
- 9:37Speaker 3: with the trade deadline here.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Yankees.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Yankees needed a reliever in a right handed hitting catcher.
- 9:43Speaker 4: They got neither one. They got a right handed hitting
- 9:45Speaker 4: alfielder and a left hand hitting first baseman.
- 9:48Speaker 3: The they are knocking like, yeah, they didn't trade all
- 9:50Speaker 3: their rentals. The Tigers just catching up to you as
- 9:53Speaker 3: we go here, and they said the return, you know,
- 9:56Speaker 3: it was obviously okay for school, not world breaking.
- 10:00Speaker 1: What was the last one you said? The Yankees?
- 10:02Speaker 4: The Yankees needed a catcher, ray han hitting catcher and
- 10:05Speaker 4: a bullpen piece, and they got a left handed hitting
- 10:07Speaker 4: first baseman and a ray handed hitting outfielder.
- 10:10Speaker 3: See for me, I feel like there's got to be
- 10:11Speaker 3: a little bit of a middle category. Like I don't know,
- 10:14Speaker 3: I don't think it's a loser. The worst thing about
- 10:16Speaker 3: them right now is their offense, and they actually have
- 10:18Speaker 3: starting pitching that that can eventually turn into bad pen.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Those guys can turn into bullpen pieces. They got like
- 10:24Speaker 3: eight starters, so some of those guys are going to
- 10:26Speaker 3: go to the pen, and their offense is much better
- 10:28Speaker 3: than it was a few days ago. Luis Garcia homering
- 10:30Speaker 3: in his.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Their bullpen game.
- 10:33Speaker 1: No, but their bullpen in October is going to look
- 10:35Speaker 1: very different.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Did you see chaviv Chavi shivally shiv ye shiva ye
- 10:41Speaker 4: at a bad inning that's going to go home out.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Of context right there? You know, the ft out of
- 10:46Speaker 1: context clips.
- 10:47Speaker 4: I know we had, we had them this weekend and
- 10:49Speaker 4: Adam Amin had to say like seven times before wayo
- 10:51Speaker 4: and I would say.
- 10:52Speaker 3: It not easy, uh for me? Yeah, Milwaukee definitely deserves
- 10:57Speaker 3: to be on there. I think we've done enough there
- 10:59Speaker 3: to say this was your year to strike. You got
- 11:01Speaker 3: some nice pitching pieces, but is it enough? Snoozers of
- 11:04Speaker 3: the deadline, Huge List, Braves, Reds, Guardians, Rockies, Astros, Royals, Marlins, Twins, Pirates, Mariners,
- 11:14Speaker 3: Raise Rangers, whoa.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Okay, Guardian's got a good really good All Star starting
- 11:19Speaker 4: pitcher and a guy Joeydell who's supposed to be a
- 11:21Speaker 4: star for years. The Braves, Okay, I get the snoozer.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Marlins traded away one of their best players. The Mariners
- 11:29Speaker 4: got Taylor Ward. Pirates did a lot actually, I mean
- 11:32Speaker 4: not big names. Look we were then Camillion.
- 11:34Speaker 1: The Wavers great, Yeah.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Twins tried, Rangers didn't do much. Raise got an impact
- 11:41Speaker 4: bat and impact starter. How are they snoozers?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Yeah? See.
- 11:46Speaker 3: The problem to me is if you don't like their moves,
- 11:48Speaker 3: then you can put them in the losing category.
- 11:50Speaker 1: For me, win losing snoozes.
- 11:53Speaker 3: They snoozing category is you didn't do anything like the
- 11:56Speaker 3: A's Yeah right, or I would put the Braves in there. Yes,
- 11:59Speaker 3: it's pretty close to not anything. For most of the rest,
- 12:02Speaker 3: it's like it's win or loss. You can't say that
- 12:06Speaker 3: the Pirates didn't do anything. They picked up how many
- 12:09Speaker 3: relievers three? Yeah, you can't say the Rays didn't do anything.
- 12:14Speaker 3: You can say you didn't like what they did.
- 12:15Speaker 4: Mean plton In Hicks, I I just pretty good players.
- 12:20Speaker 3: I think for raised purposes that was a win. Should
- 12:23Speaker 3: they have pushed harder for schoobl Sure, but we could
- 12:26Speaker 3: say that with the entire league right now, you know,
- 12:28Speaker 3: And that's what's in here. They had the prospects to
- 12:30Speaker 3: land Schooble.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Okay, but so did like every other team, and they
- 12:34Speaker 4: didn't do it.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Yeah, they got Freddy par Alton and Liam Hicks is
- 12:37Speaker 3: going to help bring some contact. And so I think
- 12:44Speaker 3: in conclusion we disagree with the context here of the article.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Yes, well, we disagree with the definition of how they picked.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yeah, right, snoozing is sleeping and doing did not snooze.
- 12:58Speaker 1: They picked up a starter and the starting outfielders, the guardians.
- 13:02Speaker 1: That's not a shoes. That's a.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Hell of a year.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a win, should be win, Okay.
- 13:09Speaker 4: I don't know what they wanted them to do.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Go get schoobl again. You could say that about everyone here.
- 13:14Speaker 3: As we get further away from the trade deadline, AJ
- 13:17Speaker 3: gets more and more excited to talk about some game stuff.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Oh, actually, can't talk about a baseball game.
- 13:22Speaker 1: No, we're gonna do a lot of that soon, now,
- 13:24Speaker 1: you know. No, I'll give you a little taste.
- 13:26Speaker 4: There were just a baseball show, not a trade show.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Well, they go hand in hand sometimes, And over the
- 13:32Speaker 3: weekend there were two ejections that I think stood out.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Skip Schumacher getting into it with Todd Tishner, but then
- 13:37Speaker 3: hold up, God Bless America and back to arguing, and
- 13:40Speaker 3: then Don Kelly over the weekend as well about the
- 13:44Speaker 3: field conditions this weekend, there were some messy field conditions
- 13:47Speaker 3: situations where we're like play on and I was like, wait,
- 13:50Speaker 3: but tornado, lightning, thunder, and they're like, no, play on.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Yeah, Skips Schmarker. At least they respect the flag. They
- 13:56Speaker 4: stopped and that was cool. God Bless America. And then
- 13:58Speaker 4: then then he proceeded to get a joke. Did you
- 14:00Speaker 4: think they were whispering to each other? They're like.
- 14:03Speaker 3: M might have had his mind on his posts. God
- 14:06Speaker 3: Bust America.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Attack planing fine, and then Don Kelly, Yes, that was
- 14:09Speaker 4: a bad field and I understand why he didn't want
- 14:11Speaker 4: to get anyone injured. But we also forgot Steven Vote
- 14:14Speaker 4: where they fought while the tart was on the Fieldwa Tala.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Bunt tried to Bunta off of said it was the team, right, Okay, fine.
- 14:24Speaker 4: He asked, They said, yes, Well that's why Steven Vote
- 14:26Speaker 4: was going after Tawa Tory. Leavello are we still doing that?
- 14:30Speaker 4: You are getting Mine was always the sixth inning. This
- 14:32Speaker 4: was only I think in the fifth inning, right after
- 14:35Speaker 4: the sixth To me, I think after the six is
- 14:37Speaker 4: when it gets to a point. And plus the game
- 14:39Speaker 4: has to be more than two runs for me, if
- 14:41Speaker 4: it's one or nothing.
- 14:43Speaker 1: It was two to nothing, Okay, there has to be
- 14:45Speaker 1: a little.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Bit more because here you can bring the tying run
- 14:47Speaker 4: to the plate that stopped, like when Ben Davis did
- 14:49Speaker 4: it against Kurt Schilling. I was that one kind of
- 14:51Speaker 4: got me just because it was the ninth inning, and
- 14:54Speaker 4: I know he brought the tying run of the play,
- 14:56Speaker 4: but it's the ninth inning now, it's not the fifth
- 14:57Speaker 4: of the sixth, and was still plenty room. In my opinion,
- 15:00Speaker 4: it doesn't matter.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Hey, we're about to talk Brewers and the aftermath from
- 15:08Speaker 3: not getting school, some thoughts from them and from the
- 15:10Speaker 3: Tigers in terms of actual quotes before that, while we
- 15:14Speaker 3: have a couple of minutes here, did you see miss
- 15:17Speaker 3: calling out Angel Stadium saying how.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Right?
- 15:21Speaker 3: But he was pissed and forget just pitching, well the
- 15:25Speaker 3: injury concerned that he brought.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Up yah of the mound. No, yeah, I mean you've
- 15:31Speaker 1: probably heard that all the time from pitchers he worked with.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Mound sucks. I can't. Uh, there's one picture I played
- 15:38Speaker 4: with very famous name. I'm not going to use his name,
- 15:41Speaker 4: but he couldn't pitch in ballparks in the division we
- 15:45Speaker 4: were in, and I'm like, you're in the division, dude,
- 15:47Speaker 4: You're gonna have to go here a lot in your career.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Because he didn't like the mound. He didn't like that
- 15:51Speaker 4: he felt it was.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Like, did he figure it out?
- 15:53Speaker 4: Huh?
- 15:54Speaker 1: Did he eventually stop complaining where he always was pissed out?
- 15:58Speaker 4: He stopped complaining apparently because he's still pitching, so not
- 16:06Speaker 4: m Maybe maybe he's pitching, but uh, if you know
- 16:13Speaker 4: what I'm talking about, you'll get why I said that. Yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 4: but missus stride was so long, That's what he said.
- 16:18Speaker 4: They don't fix that part of the mound, so they're
- 16:20Speaker 4: not used to a guy that tall getting that much extension.
- 16:23Speaker 1: That's normal. They do more moundwork.
- 16:25Speaker 3: When you watch miz like, you often will see more
- 16:27Speaker 3: mound work happening because it's a different spot there.
- 16:30Speaker 4: I hope he never pitches in Toronto because the mount
- 16:32Speaker 4: in Toronto is like seven foot high, so he might
- 16:35Speaker 4: actually get altitude sickness because he goes that.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Fot down pitch. Has he not pitched there yet?
- 16:40Speaker 4: I don't know if he has or not, But yeah,
- 16:42Speaker 4: that was always the running joke in Toronto was I
- 16:45Speaker 4: always said, and we've had this conversation. I always had
- 16:47Speaker 4: to go to the rubber because if you stand down
- 16:49Speaker 4: in the bottom, get a criock in your neck because
- 16:52Speaker 4: you're like, hey, I pitcher.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Is much higher.
- 16:56Speaker 4: They said it wasn't, but I swear it was. Maybe
- 16:59Speaker 4: we just.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Felt that way a perception of I don't know, it
- 17:01Speaker 1: just felt.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Like you were like in Roy Holiday, You're like hi,
- 17:03Speaker 4: roight hi when he was pitching to you, because it
- 17:07Speaker 4: was like you're like, whoa man, it looks like he's.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Way up there with roof open or closed? Does matter,
- 17:13Speaker 1: same thing? Okay, didn't matter.
- 17:15Speaker 3: That park does feel big where Toronto the big ballpark
- 17:19Speaker 3: feels big.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Yeah, they did a really good job of it, but
- 17:22Speaker 4: it Yeah, it's great. They fixed it up nicely. It's
- 17:24Speaker 4: really it's much much better than what it was. Much
- 17:26Speaker 4: but it's like a million percent improvement.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 4: But I've never heard anyone really complain about Anaheim though,
- 17:32Speaker 4: because Anaheim is Anaheim La San Diego are perfect. Usually
- 17:37Speaker 4: when you go there, I mean perfect, The grass is perfect,
- 17:40Speaker 4: the mound is perfect, the infield's perfect because they don't
- 17:43Speaker 4: have bad weather to do. That's the first time for them.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Back to game mode.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Tuesdays me and every team is playing, and nine times
- 17:56Speaker 3: out of ten they're all night games. So you're listening
- 17:59Speaker 3: now and you think it's nice or in a chill
- 18:02Speaker 3: a little bit tonight at a ball game. Seek can
- 18:05Speaker 3: help you out territory ten for tempers off MLB tickets.
- 18:08Speaker 3: What would you like to witness the time?
- 18:11Speaker 4: It's simple or schools first started Wrigley. I mean, I
- 18:14Speaker 4: don't want to go to Wrigley.
- 18:14Speaker 1: It's a hot ticket.
- 18:15Speaker 4: I don't want to go to Wrigley.
- 18:17Speaker 1: But for that you would?
- 18:18Speaker 4: Yeah? Can I can? I only if they let me
- 18:20Speaker 4: sing the seventh.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Inning stretch one day? They will No.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I keep trying, but now I keep deying, like.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I could get the descibel level so loud at your ball.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Can you imagine the pop I would get if you
- 18:30Speaker 4: let me do it.
- 18:31Speaker 3: It might be louder than the booze that Kyle Tucker
- 18:34Speaker 3: received last night.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Do you know what was?
- 18:37Speaker 3: Hey, you're a big leaguer you get paid a lot
- 18:39Speaker 3: of money to perform. He has not been living up
- 18:42Speaker 3: to contract expectations. So when that happened and we posted
- 18:45Speaker 3: about it, and I go to check out the comments,
- 18:48Speaker 3: it's a bunch.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Of Dodger fans in there going we're booing too. They're like,
- 18:54Speaker 1: we're pissed.
- 18:55Speaker 4: What is he one hundred because of the luxury tax?
- 18:57Speaker 4: Is like one hundred million dollars player?
- 18:59Speaker 1: Oh my gosh something like that.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Yes, that's crazy. He's not having a good year. Stuff happens.
- 19:03Speaker 4: And by the way, the other game I would want
- 19:04Speaker 4: to go to is Pie Dre's Diamondbacks because of his
- 19:06Speaker 4: playoff implication. No, I take that back. The socks, the
- 19:10Speaker 4: battle for the socks, right, that socks, the white socks. Infanway,
- 19:15Speaker 4: sit on top of the monster.
- 19:16Speaker 3: At least debut maybe tonight thought he's hurt. Oh crap,
- 19:20Speaker 3: I forgot he's hurt.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Nice kidding, ha ha. Watch million hit one to me
- 19:24Speaker 4: on top of the green Monster. Catch it not throw
- 19:27Speaker 4: it back?
- 19:29Speaker 3: Kyle Tucker. By the way, do you know what his
- 19:32Speaker 3: OPS plus is this year?
- 19:33Speaker 4: Well? I know his ops is like seven oh four.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Seven o nine.
- 19:36Speaker 3: That's close, So ops plus one hundred weighing against it,
- 19:40Speaker 3: that's league average, then ninety eight low average offense from
- 19:46Speaker 3: the guy who's probably costing his team the most money
- 19:49Speaker 3: this year.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Yes, by far, Yeah, by far.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Oh well, maybe maybe he'll wake up.
- 19:57Speaker 4: You know what. The Dodgers didn't have the money to
- 19:59Speaker 4: spend the wouldn't have spent it.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yep, I don't know one's feeling.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Yeah, Red Sox, White Sox after.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Yes, And also, if you have the money to spend
- 20:09Speaker 3: on tickets, then this is the spot. The code for
- 20:11Speaker 3: you Territory one zero for your next set of MLB
- 20:14Speaker 3: tickets at Sea Geek. Make sure you click the link
- 20:16Speaker 3: in the description to download the app and have the
- 20:18Speaker 3: code automatically added to your account so you can use
- 20:20Speaker 3: it later.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what he said.
- 20:23Speaker 1: That's what he said.
- 20:25Speaker 4: That's what he said.
- 20:26Speaker 1: That's what he said.
- 20:29Speaker 3: All Right, it's time for Terrek Scougle aftermath the team
- 20:32Speaker 3: that many thought should have landed him, the Brewers. And
- 20:35Speaker 3: then eventually we'll get to the Tigers and some post
- 20:39Speaker 3: trade words from their front office leader Scott Harris.
- 20:44Speaker 1: So, okay, we'll do Scoogle first.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Every team could trade for me, you know, every team
- 20:48Speaker 4: could make that acquisition.
- 20:50Speaker 5: And yeah, I don't really sympathize with people that blame
- 20:54Speaker 5: the Dodgers for anything they've done. You know, they've developed
- 20:57Speaker 5: a really good organization. They draft well, they acquire talent,
- 20:59Speaker 5: really well, they retain talent. It's a winning organization.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Uh.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Now, the complaints seemed to be because they've won the
- 21:07Speaker 5: last two World Series, you know that. I don't think
- 21:09Speaker 5: it was like that three years ago. So I don't
- 21:11Speaker 5: I don't really sympathize with people that are complaining because
- 21:15Speaker 5: the Dodgers, you know, do all the right things.
- 21:18Speaker 4: So that's their school perfect and he's a Dodger. He's
- 21:21Speaker 4: not going to complain about the Dodgers. And you know
- 21:23Speaker 4: what else he's on. Isn't he on the subcommittee for
- 21:26Speaker 4: the players?
- 21:27Speaker 1: I think? So?
- 21:28Speaker 4: So you know what Elsie's and who's his agent? Or
- 21:31Speaker 4: oh yeah, guess who doesn't win a salary cap? The
- 21:34Speaker 4: Players Association subcommittee is Scott.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Boris and school Well you know what, yeah, s Google
- 21:39Speaker 3: might get his big contract before all that fighting happens,
- 21:44Speaker 3: probably going to get it in November. Most many people
- 21:47Speaker 3: online think that the Dodgers are going to extend him
- 21:50Speaker 3: before he even gets the free agency. I don't know
- 21:52Speaker 3: about that, but Pat Murphy, Brewer's manager said, the notion
- 21:57Speaker 3: that his club didn't try for Schooble is quote simply
- 22:00Speaker 3: incorrect quote from merp. It isn't as simple as that's
- 22:04Speaker 3: a better package. It's not as simple as that. There's
- 22:06Speaker 3: a lot more, a lot more layers to it. To
- 22:09Speaker 3: say that Brewers didn't try is simply incorrect.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Nobody said they didn't try.
- 22:17Speaker 1: They definitely tried.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Nobody said they didn't try that, And no point is anyone,
- 22:20Speaker 4: including us on this show and me as a fan
- 22:22Speaker 4: of the Brewers and Pat Murphy and Matt Arnold, said
- 22:25Speaker 4: they did not try. It's more of a they wouldn't
- 22:29Speaker 4: take that one little step to get it done. They
- 22:31Speaker 4: wouldn't take the extra step to get it done. And
- 22:33Speaker 4: I think that's at least for me. I can only
- 22:35Speaker 4: speak for me. Again. I know they tried, We know
- 22:38Speaker 4: they tried, but they didn't do enough to get it done.
- 22:41Speaker 4: And we heard Jim Boden just say the one way
- 22:44Speaker 4: they can beat the Dodgers is to go get Rek
- 22:46Speaker 4: Schoogle again. You play this not to be play. You
- 22:49Speaker 4: do this game to get a parade, and you want
- 22:51Speaker 4: to be a GM you want to win a parade,
- 22:53Speaker 4: right and if you win a parade, especially in a
- 22:55Speaker 4: talent Milwaukee where they've never won one. I've been to
- 22:58Speaker 4: one World Series nineteen eighty two, Paul Mallet or Robin Yell,
- 23:02Speaker 4: Harvey's Wallbangers, that whole thing that was a long time ago. Scott,
- 23:06Speaker 4: even you weren't. You weren't even born back then.
- 23:08Speaker 3: I was not if you spoke to the Brewers organization
- 23:12Speaker 3: above most and said, what's your goal this year? They
- 23:15Speaker 3: had the best record last year, like, the goal is
- 23:17Speaker 3: to win the Okay.
- 23:19Speaker 4: That's what's funny, though, is because when you talk to
- 23:20Speaker 4: a lot of people around Milwaukee, they're like, we just
- 23:22Speaker 4: want to win a playoff series because they hadn't won one. Remember,
- 23:26Speaker 4: they've been we made the playoffs and we lose every time.
- 23:29Speaker 1: They won a playoff series.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Last year they beat the Cubs, remember, and then they
- 23:33Speaker 4: fizzled against the Dodgers. What has everyone said since they
- 23:36Speaker 4: used all their energy? Now, this is not us, So
- 23:38Speaker 4: people don't kill us on Twitter to win the one
- 23:41Speaker 4: series they and they said, oh, they used all their
- 23:43Speaker 4: energy and they hadn't have any energy left out for
- 23:46Speaker 4: the Cubs series.
- 23:46Speaker 3: They also did nothing at the trade deadline last year,
- 23:50Speaker 3: and we're going to look back this year and be like,
- 23:51Speaker 3: they did a little bit, But did they do enough.
- 23:54Speaker 1: If they lose and Schoogle, what if.
- 23:57Speaker 4: They have to play the Cubs and they lose the Cubs.
- 23:59Speaker 3: It's still there fault because they should have gotten Schooble,
- 24:01Speaker 3: and schoobl would be home. That's my point is where
- 24:06Speaker 3: were they on everybody else? Like Boden said, where were
- 24:09Speaker 3: they on Trevor Rodgers? Where were they on Clay Holmes?
- 24:11Speaker 3: Where were they on Keviny Bossman, Casey myce.
- 24:14Speaker 4: I and school.
- 24:19Speaker 3: I just hope that they're in a position where they
- 24:20Speaker 3: don't feel like they're lacking a starter or two.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You definitely can't say that.
- 24:23Speaker 4: And God forbid if something happens to miss, yeah.
- 24:26Speaker 3: And if you're bullpenning your way through the playoffs, win yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 3: So okay, let's get to the Tiger's portion of the
- 24:33Speaker 3: conversation here. Cody Stavenhagen from The Athletic and Tiger Territory
- 24:37Speaker 3: Our Show, was part of the conversation with Scott Harris,
- 24:41Speaker 3: the team president baseball Operations, who spoke for thirty eight minutes.
- 24:45Speaker 1: After the trade deadline.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Didn't get into specifics on the offer, but he said
- 24:48Speaker 3: they did approach Schooble with an extension at one time.
- 24:51Speaker 3: And the quote here is the response that I got
- 24:54Speaker 3: from Trek's agent was pretty clear. He was intent on
- 24:56Speaker 3: going to free agency and exploring the market, which is
- 24:58Speaker 3: totally his right and nobody should be said about that.
- 25:00Speaker 3: He's put himself in position to be able to explore
- 25:03Speaker 3: a market and decided he wanted to do that, and
- 25:05Speaker 3: he should not be criticized for it. It was very
- 25:06Speaker 3: clear from the exchange what the intentions where he deserved it.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I expect him to be a free agent this winter.
- 25:11Speaker 3: We'll see what happens from there. And then as far
- 25:15Speaker 3: as the package that they got, he said there was
- 25:17Speaker 3: a bidding war, there were a lot of organizations involved.
- 25:20Speaker 3: There wasn't any need to stretch it any further. The
- 25:22Speaker 3: organizations that were involved were extremely aggressive. They put in
- 25:26Speaker 3: what I believe to be their max offers. Then they
- 25:28Speaker 3: added to those offers also and got to a point
- 25:30Speaker 3: of almost audible pain. I'm making that part up, but
- 25:35Speaker 3: that's what he just wanted us to include. When they
- 25:37Speaker 3: actually produced their best offers, they gave them to us,
- 25:40Speaker 3: and we pulled the trigger respectfully. The notion we should
- 25:43Speaker 3: have waited twenty four or forty eight hours later and
- 25:45Speaker 3: extracted more value, that's garbage. That's not how these negotiations work.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, he got what he thought was.
- 25:57Speaker 1: The best I don't.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Fall off the Tigers at Figers, they got what they
- 26:00Speaker 4: thought was their best package. And you know what, the
- 26:03Speaker 4: leverage for me was actually higher on Saturday than it
- 26:05Speaker 4: would have been on Monday. Why because Scooble was pitching
- 26:07Speaker 4: on Monday. If you get them on Saturday, the Dodgers
- 26:09Speaker 4: are pitching him tonight in Wrigley on Tuesday.
- 26:12Speaker 1: To get an extra start, get an next to start.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But it's one start.
- 26:15Speaker 4: My thing is, it's one start, but that one start
- 26:17Speaker 4: could be not for a team like the Dodgers, probably not,
- 26:21Speaker 4: but it's say the Rays and they went they lose
- 26:23Speaker 4: the division by one game, they didn't and they make
- 26:26Speaker 4: this trade on and they don't get them for that
- 26:28Speaker 4: one start. I'm just saying, like it that one star matters,
- 26:33Speaker 4: Plus it gives them more time to get comfortable there.
- 26:35Speaker 3: For me, my thing is, once you see some of
- 26:39Speaker 3: the prices on Monday for starting pitching like Clay Holmes.
- 26:44Speaker 3: If you're into the return package there, does that change
- 26:47Speaker 3: things at all? And you're a team looking around like, oh,
- 26:49Speaker 3: that's that's pretty pricey for Clay Homes. Maybe I should
- 26:52Speaker 3: just throw in another piece for Trek Scooble. And also
- 26:55Speaker 3: just in general, the fact that the Brewers only end
- 26:58Speaker 3: up with Dustin May for their starting rotation and tells
- 27:00Speaker 3: the world that they think their starting rotation is ready
- 27:03Speaker 3: to roll and beat anyone in the playoffs. Most people don't,
- 27:08Speaker 3: but that's what they think.
- 27:09Speaker 1: You know what, They're open.
- 27:11Speaker 4: I'm going to be in Milwaukee for the postseason more than.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Likely it will be.
- 27:16Speaker 4: And I love that Murphy and I love Matt Arnold.
- 27:18Speaker 4: I love Brewers fans. They pack it out. That's why
- 27:20Speaker 4: the fan in me was like, please go get Trek Scoogle.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Miss Schooble can match you up with anybody.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Man.
- 27:26Speaker 3: That would have been Theater and Harrison if he comes back, Yeah,
- 27:29Speaker 3: that would have been Theater. Not to mention, I thought
- 27:32Speaker 3: they needed a power bat in the infield, third short
- 27:36Speaker 3: something like that.
- 27:39Speaker 4: But if they were have traded for Dominson and for all.
- 27:42Speaker 1: They have no money. They can't spend money like that.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Antonosio said they have ten million they could go.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Get said they could have gotten any starter, and they
- 27:51Speaker 3: got Dustin May out of all of the whatever twelve
- 27:54Speaker 3: starters that moved, many of them can pitch playoff games
- 27:57Speaker 3: for you. That was the one they picked. And Dustin Mays,
- 28:00Speaker 3: I mean he got a lot of pitches. He might
- 28:02Speaker 3: go over to Milwaukee and thrive. But if there was
- 28:05Speaker 3: somebody else they wanted and they didn't get, it's hard.
- 28:09Speaker 4: We'll never know because they never talk about this kind
- 28:11Speaker 4: of stuff.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I guess we'll never know.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Today's episode is sponsored by the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Program.

- 29:15Speaker 3: in the business of insurance. The New York Yankees are
- 29:25Speaker 3: making moves. Their lineup is going to look very different.
- 29:28Speaker 3: About a third of that lineup is changing right now,
- 29:30Speaker 3: at least in some platoon situations. They picked up Luis
- 29:33Speaker 3: Garcia Junior in a trade, Heliot Ramos and George Lombard
- 29:36Speaker 3: Junior was just called up by the Yankees. He's their
- 29:39Speaker 3: top shortstop prospect. And then they send down Jason Dominguez
- 29:43Speaker 3: and Anthony Volpi. So there's a lot going on with
- 29:46Speaker 3: this roster. They haven't been hitting, and there's three guys
- 29:50Speaker 3: in their lineup that we didn't see a few days
- 29:52Speaker 3: ago that are going to be playing regularly.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Well, Lombard, yes, makes total I mean, he's gonna be
- 30:00Speaker 4: the key. He's the guy that man the best. You know,
- 30:03Speaker 4: we have these managers being Adam. Wayne Wright was in
- 30:06Speaker 4: our meeting with Boone on Saturday and he said, so,
- 30:08Speaker 4: I got to ask you this, Boonie. I don't this
- 30:10Speaker 4: isn't for me, but I'm from where I'm from, a
- 30:12Speaker 4: lot of Yankee fans is they're asking me, when's Lombard
- 30:14Speaker 4: coming up? And Boone just kind of looked at him.
- 30:17Speaker 4: He's like, again, it's all for me. I just need
- 30:18Speaker 4: to I asked the question. Now your answers on you,
- 30:20Speaker 4: and Boone just kind of looked at him and laughed
- 30:22Speaker 4: and said, well, he's doing really well in Triple A.
- 30:23Speaker 4: We don't know when he's coming. And then two days
- 30:26Speaker 4: later he's up, so which it's not all his no,
- 30:28Speaker 4: I know, I know, it's just funny that this question
- 30:30Speaker 4: was asked and then boom, this happens to.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Play second in short stop in Triple A and probably
- 30:36Speaker 3: start to work on some super utilities.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Jason Dominga is the thing that who was a Jim
- 30:41Speaker 4: Bowden said that he doesn't have any baseball IQ.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Might have. It sounds like something JB would say that.
- 30:47Speaker 4: He yeah, so he was you know chev j Ve
- 30:53Speaker 4: Chave and hell Chave. Uh. He had hadn't given up
- 30:57Speaker 4: a run since like two years ago, and Sin's like
- 31:00Speaker 4: may and then he gives up like a bunch of
- 31:02Speaker 4: homers and blows the lead last night and who didn't
- 31:04Speaker 4: have anyone to turn too, so he had to go
- 31:06Speaker 4: down just because he pitched so much. But yeah, this
- 31:09Speaker 4: is what happens. You get Elliott Ramos, he's going to
- 31:12Speaker 4: play in the outfield. You get Luis Garcia Junior. He's
- 31:15Speaker 4: going to have to get a bats. And then they
- 31:17Speaker 4: wanted to shake things up. So what do they do.
- 31:18Speaker 4: They go bring up their top prospect. The Yankee fans
- 31:20Speaker 4: and everyone's been clamoring for so welcome to the big leagues,
- 31:23Speaker 4: George Lombard Junior. I hope you have a great time,
- 31:26Speaker 4: and I hope you do really well. I love your
- 31:30Speaker 4: dad and then your dad since high school, so I
- 31:32Speaker 4: hope you do really well. Yeah, we'll see what aw
- 31:35Speaker 4: it goes. Polpey wasn't the guy. No, I mean, Volpi
- 31:38Speaker 4: was highly touted too. Let's not forget it. Yeah, but
- 31:40Speaker 4: he just wasn't the guy.
- 31:41Speaker 3: They're probably going to trade him this offseason because he's
- 31:44Speaker 3: entering I mean, he's already in I think arbitration years now,
- 31:46Speaker 3: so it's going to start to cost you a little bit.
- 31:48Speaker 1: And he is what he is. That's what we said
- 31:50Speaker 1: for the entire existence of this show.
- 31:52Speaker 3: It's it's eighty shops plus, right, so twenty percent below
- 31:57Speaker 3: league average.
- 31:58Speaker 1: This year, he's eighty two. His career is eighty three.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Like it's he's.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Having the same area has every other year actually as
- 32:03Speaker 3: consistent as it gets right now.
- 32:05Speaker 1: And also he might benefit from a change of scenery
- 32:07Speaker 1: to go.
- 32:08Speaker 4: Well, he gets the pressure off of him because he was, Yeah,
- 32:10Speaker 4: you know, oh, I was a big Derek Jeter fan.
- 32:12Speaker 4: I'm from New Jersey. I'm a big Yankees fan. I'm
- 32:14Speaker 4: supposed to be the next Jeter. It's a lot of pressure.
- 32:17Speaker 4: Maybe you know what else might also happen if he
- 32:19Speaker 4: gets out of the Yankee organization, and the Yankees are
- 32:21Speaker 4: a great organization, but then he doesn't have to try
- 32:24Speaker 4: to hit twenty five home runs like they want every
- 32:26Speaker 4: guy to do. I got to hit every ball as
- 32:27Speaker 4: hard as possible. Right, We've talked about this. Yankees love
- 32:30Speaker 4: guys that hit the ball hard. Well, I Folpi's a
- 32:32Speaker 4: smaller guy and he's supposed to be a speed guy.
- 32:35Speaker 4: Maybe he goes to a different organization like the brwis
- 32:37Speaker 4: Like I could see him going to the Bruises and
- 32:39Speaker 4: I'm saying, hey, hit us ten homers, hit us thirty
- 32:42Speaker 4: five doubles, and steal forty bases and go play shortstop.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Then you don't have to worry about trying to hit
- 32:48Speaker 4: thirty homers, right, and not everyone is a thirty home
- 32:51Speaker 4: run guy. I'm sorry, but you know, welcome to the
- 32:54Speaker 4: big leagues, mister Lombard. Let's see how you do. It's
- 32:57Speaker 4: gonna be It's gonna be a hell of a time
- 32:59Speaker 4: to watch.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Yeah, they're really excited about him.
- 33:02Speaker 4: They should be. He's the number one prospect. No One
- 33:05Speaker 4: prospects are exciting now.
- 33:06Speaker 3: It's funny he's coming up replacing the guy who they
- 33:08Speaker 3: were super excited about for that position.
- 33:11Speaker 1: But they're pretty different ballplayers. We'll see what it looks like.
- 33:14Speaker 4: By the way, can we show the front end on
- 33:15Speaker 4: this again forraducial lady, please like the whole segment, just
- 33:19Speaker 4: the picture of the beginning is that possible without we
- 33:22Speaker 4: don't need the music.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Sounds complicated, does it? That's quite an ask right now.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Okay, never mind, she's busy. Okay, but in that picture
- 33:29Speaker 4: is me and then there's Michael in the small left
- 33:31Speaker 4: hand corner.
- 33:32Speaker 1: We've talked about this.
- 33:34Speaker 4: No, but I read today he sleeps in his socks.
- 33:36Speaker 4: I read today that there was a study that if
- 33:38Speaker 4: you have intercourse in your socks, it actually helps you.
- 33:41Speaker 4: So maybe that's why Michael's doing it. I mean, I
- 33:45Speaker 4: have a follow up that's Michael. If I want to
- 33:47Speaker 4: see the guy, is he really going there? So, yes,
- 33:49Speaker 4: we're really going there. But he has this thing of
- 33:52Speaker 4: sleeping in his socks. And I read this thing today
- 33:55Speaker 4: to study where if you have intercourse in your socks
- 33:57Speaker 4: it helps you perform better. So I don't know if
- 33:59Speaker 4: that carries over to sleeping or not.
- 34:04Speaker 3: I mean Michael, but I just feel like this audience
- 34:09Speaker 3: doesn't need it right now.
- 34:11Speaker 1: So Cody Bellinger.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Said, that's very Alex enthopless answer to you.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Thank you well. No, if Alex was more like, I
- 34:19Speaker 1: don't understand your question.
- 34:20Speaker 4: And You're like, I don't know, I understand your point.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I have other questions.
- 34:25Speaker 3: I just the show's done in fifteen minutes, so I'm
- 34:27Speaker 3: going to ask them to you after that, as I
- 34:30Speaker 3: don't love talking. Jason Dominguez on Lombard said quote, I
- 34:36Speaker 3: think he's one of the most athletic guys I've ever seen,
- 34:39Speaker 3: and that I've ever played with. Cody Bounder talking about
- 34:42Speaker 3: the bloodlines with him and saw it from a young age.
- 34:46Speaker 3: You know, there's a bunch of quotes about the work ethic,
- 34:49Speaker 3: all of that, which you get to see from someone
- 34:53Speaker 3: who has, you know, bloodlines like Lombard does.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Right, he's been around it.
- 34:58Speaker 4: His dad's been around forever.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Comment by the way, and they're not going to be
- 35:02Speaker 1: able to focus.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Get the comments in. The guy should have put socks
- 35:06Speaker 4: on my hands.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Well we did.
- 35:09Speaker 4: Finally, that was pretty funny. That was a good one. Whoever,
- 35:12Speaker 4: I'm not gonna say it was that. That's pretty fun We.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Got out of salad territory and now we're on to
- 35:18Speaker 1: sock I'm out.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Anyways, Yeah, he doesn't. He's he's a great His dad
- 35:23Speaker 4: was an unbelievable athlete. His dad and then went on
- 35:26Speaker 4: recruiting trips before in our high school and he was
- 35:28Speaker 4: like the number one running back recruit in the country.
- 35:31Speaker 4: He chose baseball, but I mean his dad was an
- 35:34Speaker 4: unbelievable athlete.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Uh.
- 35:36Speaker 4: I mean, here's here's his numbers in triple aps. I
- 35:40Speaker 4: mean four h five on base strikeout strikeout percentage isn't bad,
- 35:45Speaker 4: you know. That's the one thing I know that the
- 35:47Speaker 4: Yankees were looking at. His strikeout percentage has gone down.
- 35:49Speaker 4: There's some swing and miss there, but it's gone down.
- 35:51Speaker 4: So that's good to see.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Great defender already.
- 35:55Speaker 3: They said he's been ready to the defense for a
- 35:58Speaker 3: while already.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Yeah, so we'll see, we'll see. Hopefully it does well
- 36:02Speaker 4: for kids.
- 36:02Speaker 3: But think about this, you try to find yourself offensively wild.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Judge is out and we still don't know. They spoke
- 36:09Speaker 3: yesterday again without much direction on what. You know, what
- 36:15Speaker 3: gets interesting.
- 36:15Speaker 4: You can't run.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Yeah, if Stanton comes back, then you have Rice and
- 36:19Speaker 3: Garcia Goldie Rice they said, is not going to catch.
- 36:25Speaker 1: And then Judge comes back.
- 36:27Speaker 3: I mean whatever I think for them, they're like, good
- 36:29Speaker 3: problem because we have Yeah, but they can't rely on
- 36:34Speaker 3: John Carlow.
- 36:35Speaker 1: He hasn't played.
- 36:35Speaker 3: I mean, you'd love to see some abs from him
- 36:38Speaker 3: in the postseason. But you cannot rely on him, and
- 36:41Speaker 3: I think that's fair at this point where you have
- 36:44Speaker 3: to look at where you're at right now. But I mean,
- 36:46Speaker 3: one third of their lineup is about to change in
- 36:49Speaker 3: the last few days, and I think it's I think
- 36:52Speaker 3: they're all significant improvements. Garcia looked good in day one.
- 36:57Speaker 3: I think Ramos is going to be a nice fit there.
- 36:59Speaker 3: I think Lomba it's going to be a huge upgrade
- 37:01Speaker 3: for them.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I do.
- 37:02Speaker 3: I don't know if he's going to do it right
- 37:03Speaker 3: from the jump, but I think he's going to be
- 37:05Speaker 3: a huge upgrade. And then eventually you might get Judge
- 37:07Speaker 3: in Stanton back. I mean, this is an offense.
- 37:09Speaker 1: That could get hot and be very scary.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Yes, are we talking enough about the Yankees and also
- 37:15Speaker 3: the fact that they have many starting pitchers that could
- 37:18Speaker 3: pitch playoff games for you?
- 37:20Speaker 1: Are we talking enough about that?
- 37:21Speaker 4: Thank yous? If they get everyone back or the best
- 37:22Speaker 4: team in the American League.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Okay, basically Belly and Judge is what you need to
- 37:29Speaker 3: see back on their position. But even if Stan's not back,
- 37:33Speaker 3: I think there's still probably the best American leagues.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Here in my mind. Yeah, yeah, Okay, good talk.
