Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Time for the 49ers Rush Podcast.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: and here's your host, John Chapman.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: What is going on faithful?
- 0:36[SPEAKER_01]: I come to you with bad news, and so I apologize.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, if you don't know, uh, now you know, uh, my old scare has just been traded to the Rams.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get that out of the way.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: We're not breaking news here that, you know, came out about 20 minutes ago.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so I get flooded with DMs and emails.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: John, make me feel better.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I, I'm part of this show.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, look, this is, uh,
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Why the 49ers didn't trade for Miles Garrett, right?
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: So we're we're going to cover why the 49ers didn't which there's a lot of reasons why they didn't
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to try to do a, all right, what are the positives in this for the 40 hours?
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: They're not great.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to do a little Mitchell gymnastics, and you know, but there are positives, right?
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: There's an always an opportunity cost that a team gives up and the Rams gave up a lot.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: They really, really did.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know the full details of the trade yet.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: The details that are out now, the Rams get myles Garrett.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns get Jared verse will detail that a 2027 first in the draft where nobody is trading 2027 first and more the full parameters of the trade or not out yet.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure there's going to be some conditional picks going back and forth if blah blah blah you get this back instead of this whatever else, but we'll see, but as of now seems to be the concrete details.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: Jared first at the twenty twenty seven first.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: Um, now Calichipto is putting out there a twenty two is that finalized yet.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I have not seen that from a I've seen a lot of.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: different details out there, but none from the main kind of newsbreakers.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: So, uh, cowardship to if you have that, if that's permanent, please let me know who broke that news.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, because I haven't seen that out there from somebody that I trust so far, but uh, I see two people put that out there.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: But again, you know, I, I'm on there now and I'm just like, I'm still not seeing
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: the finalized of that.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah, you wrapped port just while it goes.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: I was loading this up.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so the final details as we're doing this, the Rams give up Jared 1st, 2027 first, 2028 second, 2029 third.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that is there now.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Kalachippedo, as I was loading the show that news came out.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that is a very formidable draft package.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about that.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now milescare.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's the best defense player in the NFL.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's not even enough for debate.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, not even up for debate.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: So Now the trade details are out.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you guys.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate that first second the third and shared verse You get milescare.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, the details they're out there now The problem the 49ers didn't get them Why did the 49ers not get milescare?
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of reasons
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, I think you got to start with the salary cap.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I know this is going to make some people very, very upset.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I posted some of this stuff on Twitter and social media and people that are genuinely very positive if I run back, you know, and that's okay.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: I know there's a large conglomerate of people that are just like, oh, salary cap's not real.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: You can finance it, you can move it.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: You can, and yes, that is true.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: You could definitely move some things around.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a start contrast between what the 49ers have and the ramps have as far as future salary cap capital.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you just look at the future years, okay, now.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: The nuance to this is I thought the 49ers had the most salary cap space in the NFL.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: They do this year that they have $70 million currently.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: salary cap available this year the most in the NFL the Rams have 27 million we have 70 right difference of 43 million awesome right now cool you got more the difference happens at 20 27 to 20 28
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners are in the worst cap space of all 32 NFL teams for the next following two years.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: Not this year, the next two years.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: And this is why the 49ers have such a large space now because they like to roll it forward.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk about that because none of the 70 million or 27 million for the ramps have been it's going to be roll forward.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't roll forward to the end of the league year.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: So you could still add players and the Miles Garrett financials will affect the Rams 27 million.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: We got to wait for all the trade details to come out there.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: But 2027, the Rams currently are projected to have $53 million cap space right now.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers, negative 11 million.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's a difference in 64 million next year.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's a giant gap.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: That the roll over even if the 40 hours rolled over all 70 million, they ain't getting there.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: 2028 worse.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: The ramps are projected to have 262 million dollars cap space.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: They do not have contracts going past 2027.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: They really, really don't.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers, negative three million.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's a difference of $265 million in contracts that are currently related for the 2028 year.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers are the only negative team in the NFL.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: Currently, project it now, it's negative three.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: And they built in restructures and all this kind of stuff.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: But it's not $265 million in restructures.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: There is a giant chiant chasm between the Rams and the 49ers and how they have allocated their future salary cap money.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: and all of the extensions on extensions, on extensions, and void years, on void years, that's costing the Niners.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: Having Trent Williams playing this long, this is the negative.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: Extending Fred Warner every single year, rightfully so, this is a consequence.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: George Kittle on what is, fifth contract,
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Bosa brought part of it at the fight they is like I even have people like well, this what you get when you pay brought party wrong.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Brock party salary cap in 2028 is 30 million dollars.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's cheap as hell.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: His contract doesn't balloon until 2029.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: This is not a broad party issue.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: The broad party contract does not affect, and I said this when the contract came out, didn't expect effect 2026, 2025, 2027, 2028.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nope, it doesn't start to hurt until 2029.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: You're hurting now because a brand in IU, brand in IU is the biggest one.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the biggest reason, okay?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Now there's more reasons why the Ford Aaron didn't trade for Miles Garrett, but I'm telling you right now, the salary cap is huge.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: 265 million dollars difference in 28.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: How do you for Nagle in paying this, and again, like even if this is huge and I'm gonna go to the next point or lead up to the next point, then I wanna get some of these comments.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: Even if the 49ers had the salary cap space, the Rams had, still don't think the trade gets done with the 49ers.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: For two more reasons, reason number one, you don't have a Jared verse to send.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers do not have a Jared verse to send.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: They don't.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get to that whole point.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: I've got a whole other page of notes on that one.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, let's get to some of these comments.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: This is episode.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even introduce it correctly.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: 1,653 of the four dinosaurs podcast want to say thank you.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: All of you guys being here all the countdown crew.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody are executive producers, David Gil, who already bests me this morning.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: The ass ruff.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers George 365 Corey Robbins.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you guys appreciate you guys Maria first one in the chat today Brian this is a crazy trade the NFC West is a total bloodbath It's insanity, man.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: How does the best Division of football?
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the past decade get better
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, it's hell found a way to do it.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this blows shave my man.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is not a positive, not a positive.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: There are positives, but it's not a net positive.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha ha, yeah, this is what hurts.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: Shave from Arizona, man, this is horrible news.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, yeah, it's, I yelled out the F word.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: And my wife goes, what's wrong?
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, nah.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's just how I felt, just like, man, hmm, not good.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: Label, they absolutely could have traded for Miles Garrett.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: They have to trade for cross being at crock now.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's an arms race, they need to respond at force.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that they are.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: I, it does, you know, kind of increase the temperature.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: But again, like, man, you're kind of hamstrung.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even think they crossed the out if they think they're in the conversation for Max Crosby trade.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: I would like them to be.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: I really would like them to be, but again, we'll get through this.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: There's a huge difference between Max Crosby.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: You could have gotten for two firsts, right?
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Could have gotten for two firsts.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: It could have gotten them for two first, but I don't think that's the way again, the salary cap, the space just ain't there.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: I learned this trade happened for my YouTube notifications for me.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh man, well there we go.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: We did break news to one person.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: We are not news breakers, but we are just here to help quantify and provide context and understanding to some of these situations.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: And this situation sucks.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what else to say.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's the best defense player in the football.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's older.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no doubt about that.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, we'll get through all of the positives, you know, in a little bit, for sure.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: Ram stole Stafford from Kyle.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: Time for Kyle to swoop in at the last day.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: There we go, dead case.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: At that one, I'll go back to this and like, that is the biggest collusion thing in the history of the NFL.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot believe it.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: Ben's over backwards for a few of the owners.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: One of them's Jerry Jones, the other one's Kronki.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: Literally the head coach and Matt Stafford are in the same hotel in Cabo while the trades being worked out as bullshit.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's total bullshit.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, not to say that he wasn't with their anyway, but come on, man, Kyle never had a chance.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing Kyle could have done to get Stafford at that point.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: It was 100% Stafford.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: working that trade out with it like I cannot believe there's no can look there anyway that's a whole none the one more motivation for a left guard starter yet like I you've got a lot of the the quantity in the room for the 49ers of left guard is there you've got three guys competing the age old adage well if you have more than one you don't have one
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: But the 40 hours don't value left guard.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: They have not valued left guard.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: They have penny pinched at that position, nonstop.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they let a pro bowler and Lake of Tolamance and go.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: They believe the system creates the spot, play next to, you know, Trent Williams helps a ton.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see them changing.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's going to change their approach.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: And even if the 49ers do add or change anything,
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: they're going to see what they have in house and what they need after that.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think there's like a lot of big moves.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like to be wrong, right?
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, I want the four owners to do a blockbuster trade.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: They always improve the roster like crazy.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: It just has to make sense long term.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: And again, you'll back to those salary cap numbers.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: They're negative the next two seasons, even with the roll over.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: even with the rollover.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: They're still negative.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean adding players in the future.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you can redo some stuff and I'm going to go through some extensions that the Niners could do to create more space.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: They're not in the horrific space, but they're not in a good space from salary cap vision.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really don't.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Ben, my man, I appreciate your brother.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm happy they weren't able to pair him with verse.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's a consolation.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: Jared verse is a freaking stud.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: that is like the Niners don't have a Jared verse to offer they don't I'm not saying they don't have good players Nick and people are like oh he couldn't trade Nick Bosa why in the world
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: with the Browns want Nick Bosa coming off an entry with the contract that's comparable to Miles Care.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: They're not winning in this year next year in the future.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: This is a future bill.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: Jared Versus, a back-to-back pro-bola who's never missed a game, 12 and a half career sex, defensive rookie of the year, and probably the biggest selling point to the Browns.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: He has two years left on his rookie contract for a combined $5 million guarantee, plus a fifth year option.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: rebuilding first win now.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: Noters don't have that at the edge position.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: They really, really don't.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: It trading and entered players doesn't happen a lot in the NFL.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: Again, back to Crosby, right?
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: Was he injured?
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: Is he not injured, quote, unquote, whatever, I don't care.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: The Ravens have their own take on that, right?
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: But you look at like, OK, well, you talk about my kill Williams coming off in ACL.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: His injury happened even later.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: like you don't have a Jared versus my number one edge that year by the way, but like you don't have that in-house.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: You traded an edge for an edge.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers do not have a Jared verse, who is an absolute stud.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's 26, 26 years old.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: You traded Miles Garrett 32 years old this season.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's 32, yeah, there we go.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Miles Garrett.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: this crazy like whatever.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, let's look for something positive.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like Garrett turns 32 in the season.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: Jared verse six years younger.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's Jared first.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: No, he is not.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: He is not.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: Jared verse has 12 to have sex combined in two years.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett had over 20 last year by himself.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like Miles Garrett is that damn good.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I know there's going to be some like 49ers whatever.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: People are like, oh, it's not that good.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's that good.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: He is that good.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: But they give up miles Garrett.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: They give up a first and what's supposed to be one of the best draft years ever, 2027.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: Second, 2028, and a third, and 2023.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's a lot to give up.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: They gave up a lot.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: They paid the price.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: Could the 49ers have offered a first, second, a third?
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: Did they have a Jared verse?
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: They did not.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like, even if the 49ers could swing the salary cap capital, you don't have a Jared verse to sin.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's the number one thing of this deal.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the draft capital.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's Jared verse.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's Jared freaking verse.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: That is what the 49ers lacked more than anything.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: Seller cap was huge.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: You don't got a Jared verse.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: There's one more reason why the 49ers did this straight and want to get it to a second.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm way behind on the chat.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: Um, Maria John Lynch had to have known this was brewing.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: Not only did he not do it, but no counter move yet.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: Um, if there's just a first round of twenty twenty seven, pick and chair adverse the Browns got screwed.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now they got a second at third.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, Jared verse fell off bad last year.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: Rams knew it.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he did.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Jared verse was awesome.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: now his rookie year was incredible.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that it matched his rookie year, but he was still a stud right here.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: They needed a future starting quarterback more than a defensive end.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: They believe in Ty Simpson, which is weird as hell to me.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: So weird, man.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: Right here, so many fair weather casual fans are completely losing their minds right now.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: This is the way it works.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: Overreaction, especially the offseason, and whenever you get these big splash moves, it's just like, ah, why?
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: We could have done that.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I get it.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: I react the same way.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: There are positives.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get to the positives.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: There are positives.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it hurts.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: and hurts for sure.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: Coward chip to you, the freaking man, appreciate you, man.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: Brock, get those legs ready, some running.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I was at the Browns game in 49ers game last year, 20, 25, 40 errors put up 28 points, going to hit that Browns defense, which was awesome.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: Jim Swords, always got Kyle Shoney and Zumber and whatever else.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: And Garrett had a good game.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: He had a sack of two tackle for losses, three quarterback hits.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: And it was one of the weirdest things I've ever experienced because Browns fans
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're partying and tailgate and all that stuff and we're going on the stadium and you know, I talked to everybody, it's got a, I have many social issues over, I'm over indulgent in meeting new people.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: And like, it was so weird because all the Browns fans wanted to talk about his Miles gear.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't give shit about their season.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want to talk about Shiloh, or it's not Shiloh, the other Sanders kid.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't care.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was just all Miles gear.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: He was on the pursuit of the all-time sack record, all that stuff, and at the game, everybody's like, oh, we're going to get screwed.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: We suck.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: We suck.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they didn't have respect for their team at all, rightfully so.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns are a joke.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: We're a stone or a ship and football.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: One of the worst ownership and football.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: even when they had good plays, like it didn't really matter, but then I think it was the third or fourth court.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was the third quarter.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett gets his sack, stadium goes bonkers, and then half the stadium leaves.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's all they were there for.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like you had to reset everything.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now you lose Miles Garrett, but man, Jared Versus is a very sellable, likable,
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, that's a rising star back to back probals like he's a good damn player.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's not my old spirit, but he's six years younger and then you get a first second at third round pick on top of that for the Browns it makes sense.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like I get this trade.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: I get this trade for the Browns big time.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: Brett, the only positive I see is Garrett play.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: Get to see Garrett play life.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's huge.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: Most likely only live gaming.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'll show you Brett.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, that is a positive for me.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: Trent Williams vs.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett, you're not going to get better TV.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I do wish Trent Williams was more in his prime, obviously what six, seven years older than Miles Garrett is.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: But that was awesome.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_01]: And whenever I was at, you know, the Browns game, that's what I was watching.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: And Miles Garrett, so freaking good.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett is closer to his
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: I would argue they're pretty on par for how good they are, you know, for their position.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: And definitely trip one of the best all-time left tackles in the history of the NFL.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett's climbing that, I hones the NFL sack record, consistent play, two-time defense of player.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's anybody trying to undersell you on Miles Garrett.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Don't buy what they're selling.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: He's a freaking stud and the fact that we get to see those two heavy weights go at it in all Australia Brett can't wait to be there with you.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that is huge Man and I will say this if anybody is coming to any 49ers road games this year you got a company with us We're gonna be in Australia Mexico City Atlanta Dallas of Seattle, come party with us
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers rush road trip is going into it's sixth year with over 40 events at road games if you are traveling to see the 49ers play this year you got to come party with us and on top of that we give games trivia giveaways we partnered with tick pick this year all you have to do is search 49ers rush on any of the tick pick sights apps you name it and on top of all of that.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: best dressed, giveaways, autographed jerseys, kids are always included and get in for free with a ticket at adult.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of times for select cities, we will have 49ers legends come out and you get to meet and greet them and get autographed.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: Vorrow Bowman, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis, Fred Warner, are all players that we have worked with in the past and trust me.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to build the 49ers community, you're traveling by yourself, we got you covered 49ers
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: All right, and I'm seeing like people say like, man, we could have matched this trade.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: Who put it in the chat?
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: Who could the 49ers have offered?
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: They have amazing defensive tackle.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: Also, Diggie Zoo was incredible.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: He's not Jared first and he's already in an expanded contract 20 millions here.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: Jared first two years, two and a half million dollars each year, guaranteed.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's it, plus a fifth year option.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm sorry, put in the chat.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: Who is the rookie contract on two years?
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: One at the edge position, what's they need?
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: They do need other stuff as well, but like they're building for the future.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: And like, people whenever they brought up the mild scare, they would always say Mac Jones.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want Mac Jones.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to take.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to take and build for the future.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want a quality quarterback.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they're rolling with Sanders and Dishon Watson.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want to win games now with the mediocre quarterback.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: They have to build toward the future and get one of these 20, 20, 7, quarterbacks.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, yeah, the seller cap space will go up.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: That is true.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: But that's on the projected rise.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it hopefully goes up more than I thought this year was going to balloon huge and it didn't.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: Um, J.M.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Ramslet go a players when they should instead of hoarding them like the 49ers.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's another big reason that is letting Cooper cup go offering the trade-away to Vonte Adams didn't work out.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, yeah, they let go of guys.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: They, they are very, very, the front offices, and this is my third reason, why not the 49ers.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: 40 hours front office doesn't do business like this.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: And every time John Lynch and Kyle Shattie hand, and even the owner gets up there and talk, sustains to success through the draft, sustains success through the draft.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: Now, it doesn't look like it's worked out recently.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: but with all these contracts that you have on the books, you don't really have that much of a choice moving forward because you're paying Bosa.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: You're paying IU, which we'll talk about in a second.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're paying Brock party, you're playing Fred Warner, you're paying Christian McCarty, you're paying Trent Williams.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's so many dudes.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: There's only so many guys you could pay top of the level money and that's why you're negative the next two years on the salary-cap projected rate.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, whether you want to build through the draft or not, you don't really have a choice.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you did just trade for starters, like you did just trade for Osa, Osa, Diggasua.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: You did.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: You did sign free agents.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: You did make splashes.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: You signed trade green law, Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, traded for Osa, like you've gone and spent and brought in talent, especially this Osa.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_01]: Could you imagine if the 49ers had last Osa season, this Osa season, where they did jack shit
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then the ramps did this, that would have been catastrophic.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: I love the 49ers off season personally, but man, yeah, it's, it's just, I, I don't know, this front office is not this type of team.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Less needs while this shit, man.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: That dude's crazy.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: The ramps general manager is crazy.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's insane.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that it's a bad thing or it's a good thing.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're just wild and they're willing to do things at a very unconventional rate.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's that's why they get this stuff.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's just what it is.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think that the 49ers would have done this trade even if it was there.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't see it one.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know what that package would look like probably two firsts a second and third.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: It may end if if if the 49ers offered two firsts a second and a third rounder and the Rams offer Jared verse the first second third rounder.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking the Rams still.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking the Rams still.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: I would prefer Jared verse over another first round pick.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: That that's just the way I see it.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: So again, why didn't the 40 hours make this trade salary cap?
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have a Jared verse and this front office just didn't like that There's just not it's not a negative thing For a lot of us right now today after the mile is Garrett trade.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's a negative thing But man this 40-yard is front office has had sustained success for 10 years now Yeah, they didn't win a Super Bowl that is very very true
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe if they would have made it to the Super Bowl the year that you got to play the Bengals and set a Patrick Mahomes, it would have been a different story, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe if they would have got a Phantom freaking fourth down passenger clearance called to Cooper Cup in the fourth quarter, they would have won a Super Bowl too, but they didn't get it away.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's sometimes the balls got to bounce your way and you got to get help.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'd love to play the Bengals over the chiefs in the Super Bowl.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, two of the 49er Super Bowl wins or against who?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly, right?
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's just the way that it goes.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: And so you take your lumps and men.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: There are 31 other teams, 30 technically, because he went from the Browns to the ramps.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: That didn't do this straight either.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: That didn't do this straight either.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, right here, big brick, uh, if or when staff are gets hurt, they are screwed because Bennett or Tyves Simpson will not be able to take them to the Promised Land even with Garrett, um, I think that this is one of the positives for me.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: is the, the tie sims to pick makes even less sense now like if they're doing this all in whatever else right now when now let's go let's go let's go let's go the tie sims to pick doesn't really fit that now maybe there is high on him as you know whatever and this gives them some insurance if staff are does get hurt I'm not the biggest tie sims and guy but he gets to learn.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: And there are plenty of times you look at the packers, you know, and you go from those three quarterbacks, like that's pretty damn impressive.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know, you know, it may be what, what the wait and see, but imagine if they use that first round pick on another stud that was going to help them win now.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, that is negative to me because they do have a foot in and a foot out, they do have a future successful play at the quarterback position, which they did not have in house.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: but then you just trade for a 32 year old premium player.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how long it's going to play.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: Is he going to play till he's 37?
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, he's made a lot of money.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what to see what that is.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: But one of the negatives here definitely has to be like, god, Lee, I'm so thankful the Rams didn't use that pick on a McCuy limit or on a difference to make her that could have stepped in and helped this team right off the bat.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_01]: Very, very thankful for that.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: Could be wrong in five years of tie steps
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: could be wrong.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it's kind of a weird half-and-half-out.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of interesting to me.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Ram's getting into another Super Bowl trophy while the Niners Watch from the Silent.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's still got to play the game.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't a guaranteed Super Bowl.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: I disagree with that logic strongly.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: I disagree with that logic strongly.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have to see what that looks like.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: Label, appreciate you, man.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: And again, give up a first in the conditional third.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: That could be a second, based on, no, they're not gonna trade.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, even if you could get crossed me for a first in a second, we saw the going rate was two firsts.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't wanna give up a 20, 27 first for a player with that knee.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not the bit I like cross be a lot.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that that fits with the $40 or trying to accomplish.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: And it screws up the salary cap thing, I don't want to mess with the cross be trade.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to mess with it before the Ravens trade after the Ravens trade.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: After this, I don't think that that's the way to build with what you currently have.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: I really don't.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: that's just me.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: Now, RDN, the salary will change completely when IU is gone.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think it's going to become a year by year adjustment and shout out to the great Johnny Dale.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: He talked about this on his his show.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: What's he's he's the freaking man.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: Go check out Johnny Dale's football academy.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: Great dude.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: So you're kind of in weird territory with IU.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: because he's not showing up.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's on the do not report list.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: And so you get giant chunks of a salary back on a year by year basis.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: And people are like, oh, just cut them and move on.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Hell no.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: One, I'm way too.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: petty for that to it doesn't benefit you to do that because if you cut them all that dead money pro rates and it comes off the books but if he continues to not show up like you did last year and like he's doing right now you get back large chunks of that each year so like again back to you know all the extensions that are built in salary capitalized
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: I use $20,27 salary cap is $40 million.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: $40 million dollars.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to get back a huge chunk on that because if he doesn't show up, what's I don't think he will?
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, unless somebody offers a trade package, which again, I don't think anybody will, yeah, you're going to get back chunks each year.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: So the current numbers are if I use shows up,
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, the numbers are going to get better.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: The rollover, numbers are going to get better extensions.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody go through some of those seconds.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: Are going to get better.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: They're not getting $265 million better.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's the current difference between the Rams and the 49ers salary cap in 2027.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: Not 265 million.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's not happening.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: But I you will improve the 49ers cap in the future every year he doesn't show up.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm to the point now.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: A while ago, I said this with somebody would say, you know, Brad, I might be ready week one last year.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, dude, there's a strong chance.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: Brad and I, you never place football again.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: And not just because the injury, but because Brad and I used different.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want that to be the case.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: Every day that happens, that's more and more likely.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: Hope he gets the help he needs.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: I care about the human.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: Can't stand the player.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: Don't want anything to do with them, obviously.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: But like, he's a different cat, man.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: Hope everything's all right.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I hope things go well for him, but not football-wise, I don't.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, screw over the 49ers and I'm not going to cheer for you anymore.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: But I hope it's a human thing to go well for him.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think he's ever showing up.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I think this is just going to be a year
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: and because like man, you have him, you signed him with this stupid ass contract.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: I said that too.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: All the way through 2028.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: So let's go to be a year by year by year by year.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: Thank for Brandon and I you to not show up.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: kick in all those extra voided stuff that you're going to get back, but it's a year by year basis because the Niners put these option bonuses on the year by year and so whatever the per game roster bonus he doesn't report he loses all that work out bonus loses that the option bonus loses that like loss loss loss loss loss but those don't trigger until those dates and there's multiple dates each year.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Shoot, September 1st is the option date for him this year.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: So when he doesn't report and it's September 1st, guess what?
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: You get a huge chunk of that back.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: And so these dates matter and they're going to be around for a while.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and some of the contract years don't void until the fifth day of the lead year, right?
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: June 1st, yeah, these different, whatever.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: So all these different numbers come through there.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: So the IU numbers will trickle in slowly on a year by year, option date, each one.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: That will improve.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about that.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, slick right here.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: When you're serious about winning a Super Bowl, you do whatever it takes.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: They're completely two different approaches between the Rams and the 49ers for an office.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: There's no doubt, no hiding that.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: There's no hiding.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, Kimbro?
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: My man.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Rams have a starting quarterback or wide receiver on the books in 2028.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: Let me pull up their contract.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go to the team.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think we'll see, you know, they've got a lot of stuff to get done for sure.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm looking right now at the Rams.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: These are the players that they have signed for 2028.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: Kyron Williams, Quentin Lake, Trent McDuffie, Cameron Curl.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: Scroll in.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody else are back into the roster, guys.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: Kyron Williams, Quentin Lake, Trent McDuffie, Cameron Curl.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, you want throw a Nate landman who they just did to deal with.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's on there, but like, they only have one player with guaranteed salary in 2028.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: One, I'm not even joking.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: There is one player that the 40 that or that the Rams have guaranteed salary in 2028.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that's Terrence Ferguson and it's half a million dollars.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: One player in 2028.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, now I'm going to the 49ers.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: They have at just guaranteed Trent Williams, McKell Williams to Sean Striblin, Alfred Collins.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess the guaranteed salary is not different, but again, the Rams are on the hook for 500 grand just doing this real quick 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 about 20 million that year.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: And again, now looking at who the 49ers have under contract,
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: In 2028, Brock Perti, Nick Bosa, Trent Williams, Fred Warner, George Kiddell, Brandon IU, Christian McCaffrey, Diomedor of the North, Colton McKibitz, McCell Williams, Oscar Diggie Zua, Mike Evans, Luke Feral, that pisses me off.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know how to be like, I'm not even done to Sean Stribley, Alpha College, Medaria Low, Jake Togis, ADP, Nick Martin, up to the Stow, CJ West, Caleb Black, Jordan Walk, like, you see the difference?
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's the difference.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, you look at 2027, 2028, you're just like, oh, the salary counts, whatever.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: The Rams Rossers go to be completely redone by them.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas the 49ers are holding on
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: 26, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's three seasons after count and slow.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: They already, they filled the 49ers filled.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: They have the pillars in place.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: Do they want to improve the roster?
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but because they've chosen to stick with
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously stick with Fred Warner is 29 years old.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: Come on man, but like sticking with Trent Williams Stick with George kiddo stick with bread and I you stick with christian McAfrey These older players that is why the 49ers are where they are They would rather build in house and stay in house and people are like nine or second drafting.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay cool
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: Brock Perti drafted Nick Posa drafted Fred Warner drafted kiddo drafted.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: I you drafted, but whatever.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: Demo drafted called to be Kivots drafted.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: McKell Williams drafted like all those guys and then you get to the next wave.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: We got to see what they are, but like Sean Stripling Alfred Collins like those types of guys Nick Martin up did stout
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: We got to see.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know yet.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers don't know about a lot of these young guys that are on cost control rookie contracts that you pair with these vets that you see as pillars for your organization.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's the goal.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they're trying to do.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: The Rams don't do that.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: They don't.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's just two different things, man.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's two different things.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so George, yeah, we talked a little bit about the I you that you get back little chunks at a time.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: I saw straight post on tick talk and I thought it was one of those BS fake trading counts.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I can always tell what's up.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: Then happens.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: because my phone just starts freaking go I'm a I'm a non notification person but I have the vibration on and I'm just like what the hell am I like having a seizure what's happening I mean my phone's going crazy it was just like so then I open it it's just like oh my gosh like I'm not one of those people that have notifications on for like rap a port and all of them I'm not I used to be but I did not enjoy my life at that point there is much fine what you like stick with what you like I don't want to be a breaking news guy
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to be a breaking news guy.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, right here, rumors, Packers going after Josh Sweat.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's a stud, trade and division would be weird.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be happy to do it.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't happen often.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: I would like Josh Sweat.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: Probably what I had a better time for that.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: Kim Bro, my man, he says, if the Rams, I hate them.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: I hate them.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: I hate the Rams.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: I hate the Rams.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: I always have.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_01]: You know, always do my hate rankings.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: every year, what's team's Cowboys number one for sure.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: In the Seahawks, we're number two, and then the ramps were way down the list, but they have slowly, and you know, I got to the point where the NFC championship, I couldn't roof right there, one of them, I felt inside
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: something like I didn't want the Rams to be successful and not that I was cheering for the Seahawks, but every time something bad happened to the Seahawks or every time something bad happened to the Rams, I felt better with some bad happen to the Rams.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: They are climbing, which is crazy because Seahawks just won the Super Bowl.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: Seahawks just destroyed us and the playoffs, but two and I hate the Rams.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: I really
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: I hate him, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: The beg the NFL to fly all the way across the world and request to play the 40 diners because you are embarrassed because no fans will go to your home games and so far.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: One of the coolest stadiums in the NFL yet your people will not show up.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: Because you ain't got nobody.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: You ain't got nobody.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: There's no such thing as a Rams fan.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I lived in Los Angeles for six years.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: Never met a Rams fan in the wild.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: Never did just by happenstance.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, don't exist.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: Um, that's what happens whenever you have ownership that shits on like three separate cities It has no loyalty whatsoever, and nah screw the ramps screw the ramp screw their fans Don't give a damn and screw miles Garrett.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's a freaking stud, but I hate that dude He's a good dude, but anyway I had coach gets that dude whenever he was in high school.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: He played Arlington Martin
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: Dude was stud back then then he goes A and M hate them.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's with the Rams.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: I hate them.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, this dude just played for teams.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: I hate screw you miles Garrett.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: Just joking.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Garrett had more sex to the 49ers.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're not over a mile scared.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's a freaking stud man.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: Right here.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the the reds you wide of our generation.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm cool with that by far the best.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: the best defense player.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even close.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: Anthony.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you'd have to trade both in my kill plus a first to get a deal done with Cleveland and both those guys are injured.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: You don't trade two ACL.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: If you're like, again, this might sound from a brown's perspective, would you rather have Nick Bosa in my kill Williams or Jared
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: Bosa and McKell are better, but both on ACL recoveries, it's cleaner to just go for verse.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett is 31 in turns 32 this year in season, but he is a freaking stud.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's no doubt about that, man.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: And right here, yeah, the rams are going all in for Stafford kind of, the Thai sense of trades kind of weird, right?
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why is that one?
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: I just keep looking back at that.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just like, dude, like the guys that were on the board could help them so much, oh, right here, GLC, my buddy is a ranch fan.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if this is a bot.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: GOC, I don't see you in here a lot.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just say that because there's no such thing as Rames fans, but I trust you and I appreciate you.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: He says, he's already started with his insufferable crap.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm happy for him, but I'm not happy for him.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, here's what I would do.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: And like I will go back to this.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: If you look at the 49ers verse, the Rames in their history,
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: San Francisco's up 79 to 72 right we got it we've got it.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners have won a lot of games recently, but too, our histories are not comparable.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: They don't even have as many super bulls as cities they've left.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not comparable.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: I hate the ramps.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: I hate this shit.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's the chess game.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man, you guys are great.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, here, baby, brindle can handle Garrett like he did Donald.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it would brindle.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: That was what Daniel Brunskill.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, they will see.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: Who's the left card by the way?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you got two, three guys fighting over there.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Brett Toth, it no particular or Connor Colby who I keep saying is going to win the job and then the rookie car for Willis I don't think Carver Willis pass pro is not his thing.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's a stud run blocker, and he's got I think it's going to be Connor Colby.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: I really really do Right here did we even try to offer them I you heavy sarcasm Yeah, I you've got a solved it just give him by you.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they what did I you could the initial deal you remember that was way back
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: It was, that was the trade I would have taken.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, like if you guys remember, it was a Mari Cooper and a second round pick for Bren and IU.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, do that freaking out, not because I like huge Mari Cooper guy.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: That second round pick was, it turned out to be the number 33rd overall pick.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: They took Carson, swissing her with that pick.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: He was a freaking stud.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: I love him.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_01]: He was rush crush guy, right?
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, not that the 40 units should have took Carson Swissinger, but like that was the number 33 overall pick in that draft.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, dude, do that trade, do that trade.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, nah, you're going there.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: Should've done that damn trade.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: Should've, ah, I would say the whole time trade him.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, my claim to fame, that's not the right thing.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say, maybe the best choices I ever made.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: When the 49er side Brandon and I, I didn't even do a show.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was so mad.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: I was so mad.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love to see people get paid and I liked Brandon and I, you can the way he played and blocked, but the way he handled himself, I wanted him out.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted him out.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so like, what number show, this is show 1653.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_01]: One of those shows wasn't even for the Brandon and I, you could say, you go look.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like I could have made a lot of money.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: Go live big money.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody would watch.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even want to do a show.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, man, this is stupid.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: I was pissed.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: I was so pissed.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: I was so pissed.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you get a six router for miles who says no.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, good.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's there.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's there.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: I love it, Bid.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: J. M. Bad Trafty to poor contract decisions.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: Why they can't swing for home run block posts, but they've never done that.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_01]: Even when they had salary cap, even when they had trap pit capital, the only time they've done it was for trailands.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: And so their big home run swing was for a quarterback in the draft.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now they tried to get, they, you know, Kyle wanted to trade for Stafford, but he was never even included in that conversation.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't in Cabo freaking same hotel bullshit.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, like, there are one big trade swing trade.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, I don't want to say that.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: Christian McCaffrey was a home run swing.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you offered a second, third, fourth, fifth.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's a big trade.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: The trip Williams trade, you kind of insider trading your way into getting him.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: You offered a third and a fifth round pick.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: Ed, Washington traded him was going to trade them to mini anapolis, the Vikings, Minnesota Vikings for a second round pick and Trent said you trade me there.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sign out retiring.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: So they pulled back and then they had to trade them to the 49ers.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: So like there are some big trades.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: The D4 trade, second round pick and then that huge contract.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like they don't the third round pick this year for OSA.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's not a home run, third round pick trait like there's big difference between the first, second, third, two-time pro-bola on a rookie deal.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is a grand slam deal.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: You offered up so much, but yeah, right here, both of a KELOLAND nor plus a first, second, and third, now that would be done, right?
- 47:36[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not offering that.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: I would not offer that on the 49ers, um, just just not doing that, uh, yeah.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not showing that.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not seeing that on there.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see here, uh, right here.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: This trade will backfire on the ramps.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: It could, you know, Miles Garrett.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want anybody.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: I do not want Miles Garrett getting hurt.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that is not what I want to happen.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: But let's just be honest, like,
- 48:08[SPEAKER_01]: And Andrew is happy that this dude is signed forever.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: He signed, I think, for five more years.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: And his contract because of all the salary, the extensions, and signing bonus isn't terrible.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett biggest salary cap number is 50 million.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: And that's not until 2030, like the contract's not awful.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's really, really not awful.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: That 20 29 20 30 30 31 are huge things.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: And so, and he's already got four void years five void years on top of it.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: Dang.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: And he's got a $40 million void year on their currently.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: So that they'll do some extending and whatever else, but he's already signed to play through his 35 35 year old season.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: Is he going to play like Trent?
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, monkey, Eddie P. Well, outscored Miles Garrett every game signs like a solid reasoning to be fair tree.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he will outscore him every game.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's rough, man, it slick, I'm with you.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: The overall is negative, okay?
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I understand that I want to do positive and, you know, being a fan better, but sometimes like you just got to take your lumps.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: This sucks.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: You got to line up against Miles Gare now.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: Twice a year, maybe three times.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: Best division of football just got better for the immediate future.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: Now maybe Jared verse turns into an all pro and not a pro baller.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe Jared verse plays into his 30s and plays five years after Miles Garrett has retired maybe that's there and if it is all right, maybe long term, this is a win win trade, maybe who knows maybe some of those draft picks chart into some absolute bangers and whatever else, that's what it is.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you in why Niners.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure all three of the Rams fans are happy today, but they sure have to beat us on the field when it counts.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: We got this.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, go out there when we won.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: Shut them up and I'll show you for the whole world to see.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't put it past 40 Niners, they can definitely do that.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, have to see how many people are healthy and back because you do have a lot of guys coming off.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: Adrian, as I stand the 49ers or third place team in the division, I think that's a fair assessment.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Vegas odds will reflect that, but just because you're third in the division, I think you're also third in the conference.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_01]: and he's still got to play.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's still got to play.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's still got to play.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_01]: Dane's got to bounce your way.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers beat the Rams last year.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_01]: Did they beat the Rams last year?
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm crazy right now.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: We beat the Rams.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we beat the Rams.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_01]: Alfred Collins, we beat the Rams last year when we were all banged up and we had nothing.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: Beat them last year.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_01]: They beat us last year as well.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_01]: Their beating was much worse.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: But like, come on, man, like, might be third place of the division right now and projections, but then he got shit to do with on the field.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's a game by game basis.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: And the 49ers made the playoffs, beat the Rams, and beat the defending Super Bowl champs last year and the playoffs on the road and they have a much better roster this year.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: Improve yourself, see what happens.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_01]: they got to see what they have in house and you know if they're competing and they're playing get to that trading trade deadline who knows see what's out there get it done
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: There we go, right there this committee yet.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: Niners winning the Super Bowl Levi South this season.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: I do like that.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: They have no fans.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: Right here, call it.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: If any Rams fans show up in Melbourne, the locals will think they're there to target the rooks with their top high vis jerseys.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_01]: They're a terrible jerseys.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_01]: And the Rams like
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: should have one of the coolest uniforms like you look at some of their throwbacks they're pretty freaking fire man you go back to those Eric Dickerson days and like they had some coins and they messed up just like such a cool idea they just screwed them up and they just get worse and worse and worse each year.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: Every single year they get worse.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um yeah JM verse for Garrett is no brainer that's true verse a first a second and a third for Garrett I think that's I think the
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: If I was the Ram's general manager, I'm probably more cautious than most.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying I'm as cautious as, you know, Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm definitely not as wild of a gambler or whatever as less need.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if there is anybody.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: I would be willing to argue he's the craziest general manager in the NFL.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like that dude is he's crazy.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's just crazy.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying it's a bad move.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: they paid.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: You give up a 26 year old edge player on a rookie controlled contract for three more seasons.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: Two time pro bowler.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_01]: We got to see.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's easy and like people put out like grades and all that stuff and I don't know the Christian McCaffrey trade like a lot of people were upset.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought you gave up a lot.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm usually more conservative whenever it comes to these types of trades.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be, that's just where I stand.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I would give up Jared first the first second to third.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_01]: Not with Matt Stafford is my quarterback.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's why the tie sims and pick makes more sense to them.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm just like, mmm.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know, man, wherever you guys feel, the Niners are cooked, I completely disagree.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's stupid.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: Gravy, right here.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for having a level head.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've been accused a lot of bad things in my life.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: I try to say a little level headed.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: I try to.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what that is.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, back to the positives.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: The 40 hours got to keep building through the draft.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's who they are.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: 2027 is gonna be one of the best draft classes out there.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: I really do believe that there are so many top tier studs.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: I know that because one, I'm a Texas fan, I'm a long horn.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: They have like four of the top eight players in this draft and they are all premium positions, freaking studs.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's just Texas.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the quarterbacks.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: If more of the quarterback from Oregon came out this year, he would've been the second overall pick.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's coming out as well.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: There's about five other quarterbacks that are there.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: Probably arguably the best wide receiving talent to come out since Julio Jones, maybe.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the kid from Ohio State, Jeremiah Smith, he's unbelievable.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: Cam Coleman's a freak.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's like there are just premium positions.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, two elite edge rusters.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot there next year.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_01]: If you're the Browns, this makes sense.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: It makes sense because you gotta get a quarterback of the future.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have that.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, Rick, man, appreciate you, buddy.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_01]: Are you worried about the Rams now?
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: And now do you think we will do something now?
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: I was always worried about the Rams.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: The Rams have a bad ass roster and elite coaching staff.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_01]: The Rams are great.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: This makes them better now.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_01]: I am not the most reactive person.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's not how I operate.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_01]: You build your team to win consistent games and to win on the road in playoffs.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I believe.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_01]: because only one team gets to stay home in each division last year.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_01]: And every year, it's so like, that's the way I want to build.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers are draft.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have to see how it pans out.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: They have backed, this is the thing.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: The 49er, like, people keep saying the Niners can't draft.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's stupid.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying you're saying that, Rick.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners have backed a backed very quality draft classes, very quality.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: not home runs, everybody got used to getting a Brock Perti or a Fred Warner or, you know, a George Kittle, every single year on the draft.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's not normal.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like PFF did like this new exercise in screw PFF and they're sell out whatever else, but like they put out a pretty cool article where it was like the 10 biggest draft hits or values of the past 10 years.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: Niners had
- 56:42[SPEAKER_01]: four of them were 49ers picks.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was a Brock party.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_01]: He was number one.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_01]: He was the best, right?
- 56:50[SPEAKER_01]: Kittle, Warner, and I'm missing one more.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_01]: It might have been Teyamador.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was Tolano, Funga, two-time all-pro safety in the fifth round, but, you know, he's not on a team anymore.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_01]: Should have signed and should have kept them, but whatever.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like, the numbers have drafted very, very well with home runs, but the last two years, not counting this draft, I say, and played yet.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_01]: like quality guys man like you got a lot of quality players the last two years yeah there was that three year freaking lumps in there where it was just like yeesh um but I'm not the most reactive guy I don't think that's when good decisions are made like man you don't make financial decisions based on emotion that's where bad things happen
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: And whether that's real estate, stock market, whatever, like whether you're building your team, look, you build your team for sustained success.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's what the 40 hours are doing.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: Ram's don't believe in that, but like, who are you?
- 57:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I get asked, okay, let me refresh this.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_01]: I get asked by people a lot like, oh, I want to start a podcast too.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: What should I do?
- 58:00[SPEAKER_01]: And every single time I'm like, dude, let's talk.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_01]: It like, dude, I've made so many stupid asked decisions and mistakes and, you know, wrong platforms and learn what to do and what not to do.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's not that I'm like really good at this, but like I've done an alliance my full time job to sell and pay the bills, 49ers rush.com, if you like what we do.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_01]: We got film breakdowns up on every single rookie multiple on some and we're building through that so coaching tape you get to see how they're going to fit how they plug in the scheme zoom hanging out every single month all that stuff the 49ers rush dot com or patreon channel.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_01]: We have the same content on two different platforms, but support us if you like what we do sign up for a seven day free trial checking out stick around whatever but like I get questions and you know people like I'm thinking about starting a podcast and several different fields not just like 49ers stuff.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the things I always tell people, every single time, you've got to figure out who you are.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, if you're a negative person, let's just talk about, okay, just people starting a 49er show or football show.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, if you're negative, be negative.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, who are you?
- 59:09[SPEAKER_01]: Are you a positive person?
- 59:11[SPEAKER_01]: Are you a fun person?
- 59:12[SPEAKER_01]: Are you funny?
- 59:14[SPEAKER_01]: Don't be something you're not.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do that.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_01]: Don't adapt because this other channel gets more clicks, views, whatever, and do what they do.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's bullshit.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's fake, and you're gonna wear yourself out.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_01]: Again, show 1653, because you imagine, if I had to switch up my personality, every time I went live, how exhausting that would be, 1600 times in counting, man, fuck that.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's you be who you are Kyle Shanahan got this job to be the coach slash GM and he is the GM be who you are I'm not saying don't adapt I'm not saying don't change don't learn lessons that I'm saying but don't go be less need Kyle you're not less need you're not a gambler you look at what Kyle does on fourth down it's like Kyle is consistent efficient out smart like that's who he is
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: Don't go be who you're not.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_01]: Don't chase.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_01]: Don't make emotional to all.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_01]: Now Miles Garits and Rams, we gotta go and run.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't buy that philosophy.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's not who you are.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying you don't try to improve your team, but you don't make a decision just because Miles Garit is now there.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay, if you wanna make the decision, how do we increase our team?
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: How do we improve our team?
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_01]: Why would that have changed because of a Miles Garit tree?
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_01]: Why yesterday before the Miles Garrett trade the $40 is just sitting around and like well at least nobody else has made a splash so we don't need to make a splash that's not how people think at least sure it's hell shouldn't be Like why would this change He's a stud they gave up a shit load.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_01]: They had a stud defensive end going into this season.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well now they have the best defensive end
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_01]: Why would that change my philosophy on what I feel is best for my team?
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's not the way I see them acting.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I don't know, I don't know, yeah, Rams, yeah, there's different ways, Rams do have some stages that they're amazing front office and amazing roster, yes, they do, they're good.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_01]: One of the best coaches in the NFL.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I say this all the time, like if you wiped every single head coach off a roster, all 32 teams have no coaches.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_01]: The top two coaches that are going to be the most pursued or Kyle Shannon and John McVay.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_01]: McVay probably a little bit more than Shanahan now, but guess what?
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like McVay's not the GM.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_01]: McVay doesn't have the power that Shanahan has.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_01]: Shanahan has so much more power.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_01]: Let's need was there way back with Jeff Fisher and all that stuff.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_01]: He was way back in St. Louis.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: He was way back for all that stuff.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say Sneed hired McVay.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Shanahan hired John Lynch.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_01]: Big difference, but from a coaching standpoint,
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_01]: There are two top coaches in the NFL.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_01]: And we're talking building a roster for now and in the future, there's two.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now you want to throw Mike McDonald, he's, you know, the new up riser and he's a freaking stud.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not trying to say he's not.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_01]: But for the longest time as two, like there is no way in hell.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_01]: Let me just rephrase this.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_01]: All 32 coaches are, all 32 teams are coachless.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_01]: They have no coaches.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Shanna hands not getting past three.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_01]: And he's not three, but I don't not care.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Shanahan would not be the third hired coach.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_01]: He'd be the second.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_01]: I guarantee it.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_01]: You mean tell me I can hire a coach that can guarantee I have positive quarterback play in my offense is efficient no matter who I have out there.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody would, the Rams, they're up there too.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_01]: McVay is more adaptable than Shanahan.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_01]: He changes his personal groups way more than Shanahan.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_01]: He caters to the talent on his offensive side way more than Shanahan.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_01]: But you've only seen McVay play with first overall pit quarterbacks.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_01]: Dude went from Jared Goff to Stafford.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: Never seen him with anything else.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_01]: He never had to.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you lost Stafford, you might go get another one, right?
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_01]: There's a big difference.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Shetta has done this with Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Mullins, CJ Bether, Tray Lance for a small point, and now Brock Perti.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_01]: You see, I'm saying like they're different.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_01]: The Rams are a great freaking organization.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying they're not.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying with, if there's different ways, I was talking with my buddy Shane,
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_01]: just about like finances and stuff like I'm a I love real estate.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I know.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I do.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's a big investor and you know the market and all those things and it's like whatever diet works for you.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_01]: Do that.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, some people, you know, their runners or power lifters, some people across fit, some people.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: What is it that works for you?
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_01]: don't change it if it works.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there might be something out there better, but like you got to stick with what works for you.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that's important.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_01]: And what the 49ers are doing is working.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_01]: If your entire rubric for success is Super Bowl or bust, I'm sorry, you're not gonna be happy.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_01]: You're not.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's not sustainable.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_01]: and 31 out of 32 teams are pissed.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_01]: You're job, and this is what Kyle Shanahan, and this is what almost all coaches say, by the way, in coaching rooms, which I've been in and been a part of, we want to create a roster and a team that gives us a shot, and we want to build our team and improve our team throughout the year so that we have that opportunity.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_01]: Kyle Shanahan does that year after year.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_01]: Five times he has received coach of the year votes.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, me they can't say that.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying he's better than me, but I'm just saying like This constant comparing like oh Well, and this isn't everybody and it's a little bit of an over-action.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_01]: I apologize for the soapbox, but you clicked on my face So like we're we're going through this.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_00]: I love y'all and I really do appreciate y'all being here
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_01]: You don't change your stripes in a knee jerk reaction and act out of character with what you have been aligning and building for so long just because somebody else did what they did.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_01]: Therams are gonna make more splashes and they're gonna keep doing that.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_01]: What do you want me to say?
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_01]: You're not gonna get that from Kyle Shinyin in John Lynch.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_01]: You're just not rusty, if I had to be somebody I've not had to choose a judge at thank you for us.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_01]: I miss you brother.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_01]: You're the best.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_01]: You're the best.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, how do you taste for me and who you are, John?
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_01]: Your philosophy is best.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, man.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_01]: I really appreciate you.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Trent only allowed one sack for scare at last time they face each other.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_01]: He held him down all game.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that one time he got like, I mean,
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: Trent one sixty reps miles Garrett one four the four are the only ones we talk about that's what is I'm not saying you're saying that Yeah, look at this monkey.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's always somebody better off.
- 1:06:33[SPEAKER_01]: There's always somebody worse off There's always a bigger fish look at monkey imagine being a cardinal fan seeing everything going on in this division
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_01]: Hey man, tank for arch, the march for arch.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_01]: It is there.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_01]: Russ, John, you're killed.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_01]: The weak bandwaggers that keep calling for Shantyhand Lynch has had.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_01]: So it's guys, there's places for them.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm glad they're here.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_01]: Listen to takes that align with what you believe and that challenge and force you to overcorrect, right?
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_01]: That is what a discussion supposed to be.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_01]: That is what it's supposed to be, um, and so yeah, I don't know.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_01]: And we still got Trent.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's huge.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_01]: We got Ricky Cruz going to get smiles, Gary Weekwood.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want that.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, there we go.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_01]: We don't want there.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we'll see what it is.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what it is.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_01]: Right here Maria I wonder what people will be saying if the Rams don't win the Super Bowl this year and that's a thing You know hindsight's 2020 and in the Aussies and I always get this well the Rams sold out to guarantee they want a Super Bowl and I'm like no They didn't the Rams sold out and want a Super Bowl.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't guarantee a Super Bowl Tart dropping that interception chain saying they almost lost to the Eagles like in the wild card of divisional rounds
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_01]: Then they should have lost the Super Bowl, but the rest game of the Phantom P.I.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_01]: call on fourth down and allowed them to win the game.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, one of those three things don't happen.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're not there.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_01]: You don't guarantee.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if things went their way, and yeah, like, and that's the thing.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_01]: I say this all the time.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_01]: Give yourself a chance.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes the ball's got to bounce your way.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_01]: You got to make some breaks.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_01]: You got to do that and then you win the game.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_01]: But the 49ers walked off the field in the Super Bowl.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_01]: The fourth quarter and over time
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_01]: walked off the field, brought pretty walked on the field loosing, walked off the field three times with the lead in the fourth quarter and over time and still lost.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_01]: And people are still like caution to caution in.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, caution in to give up all those freaking points.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and I'm not trying to give caution in past caution and pisses me off too.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_01]: But whenever you look at what else is out there, would you rather have Jonathan Ganon, you want Jonathan Ganon,
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: Is that what you want?
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_01]: If you just want to, you know, a super bowl when a quarterback could have went got McCarthy.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, be kidding me, man.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm though that's not the most people in here.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_01]: Miles Garrett getting out there sucks.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_01]: I hate it.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_01]: I hate this trade.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pissed.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_01]: Don't alter who you are.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_01]: One, you were never in the conversation for this trade.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_01]: It does suck that he's in division.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_01]: There's no doubt.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_01]: Ram's got better today.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_01]: Nine or state of the thing.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what else to say.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_01]: Fill glad you're here, man.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_01]: Great to see you here, brother.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_01]: You're the best of the best.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you, man.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_01]: All of you this, Douglas.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_01]: Sub-John, first time on here, glad that you are here.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_01]: All I say is we haven't won a chip yet and the C.O.C.Rams have won.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_01]: Make that make sense.
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it sucks.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_01]: There's no doubt about it.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so what you have to do is you constantly have to continue to put yourselves in a chance to win the Super Bowl and give yourself the opportunity to be there.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_01]: You can't make choices in hindsight.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_01]: You can't do that.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Can't do that.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got to get to the point where, all right, what's best for the 2026 49ers that doesn't sacrifice the future too much?
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a constant give and take.
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_01]: I would argue the 49ers formula for what they have built this team is a quality formula.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they keep having so much success.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_01]: If success is just Super Bowl or bust, you're not going to be happy.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_01]: What is it?
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Eight teams in the NFL.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: Never want a Super Bowl.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_01]: Never.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Eight teams.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_01]: Two entire divisions have never won a Super Bowl.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers have five.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_01]: So if we're just looking at the Kyle Shadowhand era and you're just like, I haven't won, he sucks.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what to tell you, man.
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's a horrible way to live.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_01]: You're not gonna enjoy your fandom.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying be happy.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_01]: You don't win Superl.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying at all.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, nobody might have been more of set to me whenever you lost those games.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_01]: I was there.
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_01]: But defining everything as just this, I'm just telling you, it's not the way
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the way to live.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you, your life's going to suck.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I was at the NFC Championship game and the win and the comeback against the Lions.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody got to tell me that, it didn't matter.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_01]: That was one of the coolest things of Eric's spirit in my life.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_01]: That was one of the coolest I was there with Rusty, by the way.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_01]: That was one of the coolest events of my life.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_01]: And William, shout out to the character in the family.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sub-same.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_01]: But like, dude, that was one of the coolest events of my life.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't win the Super Bowl.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_01]: That game doesn't matter now.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I'll constantly go back to this and it's bad for business.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you only care about Super Bowl winning or losing, why you watch him preseason games?
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_01]: Why you watch a regular season?
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_01]: Why you even watch him play off games?
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_01]: Wait till they're in the Super Bowl.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's all that matters, right?
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_01]: I say this shit to my dad all the time.
- 1:11:58[SPEAKER_01]: He was a brace fan, season ticket holder and we like he was the most negative and that's a big reason why and who I am.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_01]: My dad was the most negative fan ever.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_01]: Most negative feel like if you ever watched Major League, we'll blow it in the night like he was ready to quade right like that's who he was.
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_01]: He was that fan and you know be the fan that you are.
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_01]: My job is to inform and try to increase the fan experience.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you right now, if you're a super polar bus person, you're not going to have a good time.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have a bad time.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Stand, Darsh.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_01]: But like, man, this sucks.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_01]: Negative's happened.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_01]: Other teams improve.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_01]: 31 teams don't have Miles Garrett.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_01]: The Rams do.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_01]: That sucks.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_01]: That sucks.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_01]: I hate it.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_01]: They lost out on one of the youngest brightest edge players in the NFL and Jared first.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's not near as good as Miles Garrett, but he's going to play longer than Miles Garrett.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_01]: Um, makes the tie Simpson pick weird as hell.
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_01]: And this isn't the way the 49ers built.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's what it is.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it's what it is.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_01]: What's up Douglas?
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Fantastic.

- 1:13:53[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, good question.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_01]: He is a stud.
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think he is the best defensive player in the NFL still at his age.
- 1:14:01[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:14:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's what it is.

- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it should change like, I'm sorry, I'm just, I'm not in the arms race, whatever.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_01]: You build your team.
- 1:14:45[SPEAKER_01]: Every decision you make should always be what helps this team now and in the future.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_01]: You balance that and you make those choices.
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_01]: Just because the Ramestrade for Miles Garrett does it change the way that I would have acted yesterday versus today or tomorrow personally.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan disagree, but thank you, Joe.
