  Speaker 1: early on in that season. You just joined the club

  Speaker 3: Taken unwell in the morning.

  Speaker 4: In the morning, Scotty had just said listen, like anybody

  Speaker 4: would have said, that's a couple. That's so head, that's

  Speaker 2: So, Vin, you were in the team and I was

  Speaker 2: all a bit pissed off that I wasn't in the team.

  Speaker 1: And then Vim comes to me in the bus and says,

  Speaker 1: Luke Darren's you're going to start. And it was a

  Speaker 1: little moment in the season for me personally because I

  Speaker 1: ended up playing that game and scoring and getting to
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: run the team. But I remember the harsh environment of
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: the death room said he chucked on.

  Speaker 2: Does they fancy it the night? So how did you

  Speaker 2: feel at that point.

  Speaker 3: Obviously listen, I didn't know that that's what the boys

  Speaker 4: But I was just like, well, Vin had to come

  Speaker 4: out to you and the bus and I ruled myself

  Speaker 4: out because they had.

  Speaker 3: Phoned was we Jack on the bus of dot or Jack?

  Speaker 4: They had phoned Jack at Celtic Park right and says,

  Speaker 4: They put the lights out and I just lay there

  Speaker 4: and then Vim came in and said, listen, we're going

  Speaker 4: My head was buzzing, it was solar, but I didn't

  Speaker 4: want to go out in front of sixty thousand. I

  Speaker 4: had no perform and that was in the back of

  Speaker 4: my head. I mean, it wasn't afraid to go and

  Speaker 4: play there, just really my head just wasn't right really,

  Speaker 4: so headache, it was just sounds a headache, it was

  Speaker 3: It was a headache I'd never I'd never had before.

  Speaker 3: And then the next night I'm up from the chairs celebrating.

  Speaker 4: And and then after the game, Jack and Scotty had

  Speaker 4: just Sai blossom. We've booked a scan for here. You

  Speaker 4: wake up in the morning, we booked a scan. Anyway,

  Speaker 4: if you wake up fine, cool, that's that's okay. But

  Speaker 4: all of a sudd I don't know if you know
• 5:10
  Speaker 4: that Jack had the exact same thing. I think I
• 5:13
  Speaker 4: did know that now, but I think I didn't know.

  Speaker 3: That's why, like I could have been probably any club.

  Speaker 2: In the water.

  Speaker 4: of just kind of blocked and that's where the headache

  Speaker 1: And suffered for headaches. But that's was the first time

  Speaker 1: you had the experience.

  Speaker 3: And by the way, it was just a headache.

  Speaker 4: I mean, but I'm not saying, well, maybe I'm just
• 6:14
  Speaker 4: being away that my card man, but yeah, it was
• 6:18
  Speaker 4: a it was a headache that I couldn't have played again.

  Speaker 3: And so of course I went to the did the scan.

  Speaker 4: And I put apart my car and I can't park
• 6:37
  Speaker 4: my car outside the Italian Center, right, and I got
• 6:43
  Speaker 4: picked up and were taken to Russhall and so I

  Speaker 4: got the scan and then they just said, right, you're okay,
• 6:52
  Speaker 4: just just go home. We'll be in touch. So it

  Speaker 4: goes back to the Italian Center. I can't have been
• 6:59
  Speaker 4: towed away. So I was one hundred and thirty pounds
• 7:02
  Speaker 4: talking about my car out and then it goes home.

  Speaker 4: And by the way, it was until nine o'clock at night,
• 7:09
  Speaker 4: Scotty phoned me and I actually was new worried to talking.
• 7:13
  Speaker 4: People are saying to me it must have been panicking,
• 7:15
  Speaker 4: no facy actually, and then Scotty phone and just said, listen,
• 7:23
  Speaker 4: they've seen something but they don't know what is. You
• 7:26
  Speaker 4: need to go back in tomorrow again. And so I said,
• 7:31
  Speaker 4: no bother and I went to bed and actually slept.

  Speaker 2: Which isn't it like you?

  Speaker 5: I know, the pain stopped.

  Speaker 4: The pain was still there, but it wasn't It was

  Speaker 4: not at all. And then so I went back the

  Speaker 4: next day and Scotty and Jock went with me, so

  Speaker 4: I knew there was something going on, and went into
• 7:52
  Speaker 4: the doctors.

  Speaker 3: Doctor Philler Barlowe.

  Speaker 4: Was and I went in and got another scan, came out,

  Speaker 4: and then we went for a coffee and came back
• 8:03
  Speaker 4: and then they had a son and there was a
• 8:07
  Speaker 4: kind of look on Scott in Jock's face. It will

  Speaker 4: be a bit relief that I think they were told
• 8:13
  Speaker 4: it could They first saw a tumor that was in
• 8:17
  Speaker 4: a place that they could not remove, so they were
• 8:21
  Speaker 4: kind of a bit believed that it's hydro carefless and
• 8:25
  Speaker 4: like he told me, my career was over the first
• 8:27
  Speaker 4: day but what I was kind of impressed with what
• 8:30
  Speaker 4: I thought was really good that he says, I've spoken
• 8:33
  Speaker 4: to another few surgeons.

  Speaker 3: It was just his opinion. He wanted to So did
• 8:37
  Speaker 3: you say.

  Speaker 2: Did you get told at one point your career was fine?

  Speaker 4: Yeah, he told me that the first day. The first

  Speaker 4: day says, I don't think you'll play again. So because

  Speaker 4: they weren't very sure what was so, so they said

  Speaker 4: it's hydro careless.

  Speaker 3: This is what's going to happen, the droller hole in.

  Speaker 4: Your head laser than the doctor Philip Barlow, he pioneered operation,

  Speaker 4: and I can remember Lord, I was saying, I've waited

  Speaker 1: That time when we played Liverpool on the back again

  Speaker 1: through and that that night. Yeah yeah, So then we

  Speaker 1: obviously qualify for the World Cup and the November of

  Speaker 1: that time, so at that point you're obviously wanting to
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: get back playing for a club. Itseltics you've just touched
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: on there. But was the World Cup the back of
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: your head as well?

  Speaker 2: Was that? Was it just a relief to be healthy

  Speaker 2: at the time?

  Speaker 3: Yeah? Probably all three, you know, I mean that I

  Speaker 4: And I wanted to Celtic and and obviously I started

  Speaker 4: and then it happened on the Tuesday. Yeah, right, okay,

  Speaker 4: so we played, we played St. Johnson on the wedding

  Speaker 4: and then went in the League one on the top

  Speaker 4: and then and then it happened on the Tuesday. So

  Speaker 4: then I was kind of end and then obviously I

  Speaker 4: was out, so listen. It was obviously looking back, it

  Speaker 4: would be in the back of my mind, We've qualified,

  Speaker 4: I played a better part, so I would like to

  Speaker 4: be there, but it was always going to be kind

  Speaker 4: of a big ass because I didn't know how I.

  Speaker 2: Was going to come back. And then I remember the

  Speaker 2: game back, So when was that December?

  Speaker 4: And I can remember this like it was just yesterday

  Speaker 4: This was for days and I just I feel fine,

  Speaker 4: Both but they were just sort of waiting for the

  Speaker 4: and then I was I was fine, but it.

  Speaker 4: Probably I never had any fear when I came back,

  Speaker 1: So that was and lead up to the Aberdeen game

  Speaker 4: when Tony Watt scored new that just were unbelievable, and

  Speaker 4: that that game against was again Strangers, was was unreal

  Speaker 4: at halftime and obviously I went on and Stubbs he

  Speaker 4: scored and and then may you have been the game

  Speaker 4: after that we played Aberdeen up there and yeah, but

  Speaker 4: Henry could score. We played.

  Speaker 3: I thought we played well that day. Register had the shot.

  Speaker 4: Gone in and scored, jumped in the crowd and all

  Speaker 4: that brilliant story that obviously I turned around and I'm

  Speaker 4: like that, I'm back. And so the Saturday we'll play

  Speaker 4: Harps at home and he names the team and I'm

  Speaker 4: sub I was. I was gutted, totally gutted. He just

  Speaker 3: Somebody else say no, nine, someone was on.

  Speaker 1: I think there was ain't GOLDI ended up being the ninth.

  Speaker 1: Gil did not get drafted after La later on left

  Speaker 1: because so that was my my memory of that was
• 16:39
  Speaker 1: like somebody was getting told, right, you're going to the

  Speaker 1: World Cup, and I was like, hopefully I'm getting a

  Speaker 1: text here. But I remember that is a really good
• 16:46
  Speaker 1: moment because we all just were getting.

  Speaker 2: Together and from the joy because it was n in America. No,

  Speaker 2: he get drafted on from drafted, drafted, last one of them.

  Speaker 2: I'm sure he was the ninth counter the US.
