- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The rex was
- 0:06Speaker 2: not chasing the jeep. Murray Murry, you there. You love sandwiches. Huh,
- 0:11Speaker 2: let's go to eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It was bo.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Wow that Prime Time. Maybe I had a crush on
- 0:18Speaker 3: Betty Rubbell.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 2: to commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman was black.
- 0:25Speaker 3: He caught them the game last night. Although they won
- 0:28Speaker 3: the game.
- 0:29Speaker 2: You're listening just to Gotten Company. Taylor put it on
- 0:32Speaker 2: the poll. Today and tomorrow? Are they two of the
- 0:35Speaker 2: top ten sports days on the sports calendar?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Mikey A says yes.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I cannot believe that we are a half hour away
- 0:43Speaker 2: from a legal tampering window. I love a good legal
- 0:46Speaker 2: tampering window. Mike Golick is today and tomorrow too, of
- 0:50Speaker 2: the top ten sports days on the sports calendar.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Just for the term legal tampering, I mean, where else
- 0:57Speaker 1: do you hear that? Where you Basically it's the NFL
- 1:02Speaker 1: just throwing their hands up, kind of like they did
- 1:04Speaker 1: with the Pro Bowl. They said screw it. We tried
- 1:06Speaker 1: a bunch of different iterations. We're going with flag football.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And now it's like like management and agents are backdooring
- 1:14Speaker 1: terms all the time. So the NFL said, screw it,
- 1:18Speaker 1: we'll call it. Let's get a big meeting together. Let's
- 1:21Speaker 1: throw out some terms. Yeah, legal tampering, that's what we'll go.
- 1:27Speaker 3: With, permission to tamper.
- 1:29Speaker 1: It's so ridiculous. But his it's a two great days
- 1:33Speaker 1: because for those of us, like all of us that
- 1:35Speaker 1: have shows, it's.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Content, yes, easy content.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Content. That's what makes it so great is no other
- 1:44Speaker 1: sport has this moment where we're going to open the
- 1:48Speaker 1: window and it's all gonna just come flooding in in
- 1:51Speaker 1: a day.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Like baseball. You're it's like, oh, you get you get
- 1:54Speaker 4: a signing in December. Well that's a big one. Oh
- 1:56Speaker 4: and then a month latery, you get another one, and
- 1:58Speaker 4: a week later you get another one. All of the
- 2:01Speaker 4: big free agents are probably going to sign within the
- 2:04Speaker 4: next thirty six hours or at least agree to it,
- 2:07Speaker 4: and we're just gonna get him NonStop.
- 2:09Speaker 1: And it's exciting. It is, it's great. It's it's like
- 2:12Speaker 1: we said, it's content that carries over. You know, we
- 2:15Speaker 1: got to make it to the draft now right, Well,
- 2:17Speaker 1: we're gonna go through Pro days first, so we could
- 2:19Speaker 1: watch more oohing and on off people throwing in shorts
- 2:22Speaker 1: and a T shirt. You know, we have to go
- 2:24Speaker 1: through that process, and then were we get to the draft.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Mike, you when you said it was a top ten
- 2:29Speaker 5: sports day, I thought you were just really excited for
- 2:31Speaker 5: USA Mexico tonight in the world based on big one act.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Gonna be a good one.
- 2:40Speaker 2: He wasn't talking about that, No, God, Mike. So let's
- 2:45Speaker 2: because it started already. It started last week, big bang
- 2:48Speaker 2: on Friday.
- 2:49Speaker 3: And we'll get to that.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Max Crosby going to the Ravens, which is just a
- 2:52Speaker 2: great move for the Baltimore Ravens. Yes, if we go
- 2:55Speaker 2: all the way back to last week because you were away,
- 2:57Speaker 2: you took a week off, you went to Disneyland. We'll
- 2:59Speaker 2: get that in just a second. DJ Moore to the Bills.
- 3:03Speaker 2: What did you make of that move there, Mike, Well.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Listen, they needed We kept talking about what veteran wide
- 3:09Speaker 1: receiver was going to go to Buffalo, right, They needed
- 3:12Speaker 1: more help wide receiver wise. They got a good running
- 3:15Speaker 1: back in James Cook. Obviously, Josh Allen, we talk about
- 3:18Speaker 1: him putting the cape on all the time. They needed
- 3:21Speaker 1: more weapons from a wide receiver standpoint, doesn't mean that
- 3:24Speaker 1: they won't grab one in the draft somewhere in the
- 3:27Speaker 1: draft as well. It's a deep wide receiver draft. But definitely,
- 3:31Speaker 1: I think I think a good move. I think that
- 3:34Speaker 1: was a good move. Obviously Max Crosby was a good move.
- 3:37Speaker 1: There were Shaun Gario one. I'm kind of Luca Luke
- 3:39Speaker 1: warm on at best, but yeah, it's not surprising that
- 3:44Speaker 1: Buffalo went for a veteran wide receiver.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Were you surprised that McDuffie was traded from the Chiefs
- 3:49Speaker 2: to the Rams and the Rams are signed to a
- 3:51Speaker 2: monster contract, monster deal, highest paid cornerback.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I mean, dude was what All Pro first team in
- 3:56Speaker 1: twenty three, second team in twenty four. He's a hell
- 3:59Speaker 1: of of a corner and that may now shift the
- 4:05Speaker 1: draft for Kansas City. Everybody had them taking Jeremiah Love
- 4:10Speaker 1: if New Orleans didn't take him had picked before. Now
- 4:13Speaker 1: he may go to to Delaine the top cornerback I
- 4:17Speaker 1: believe from LSU you may take him now and kind
- 4:20Speaker 1: of start the clock all over again with a cornerback.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Is Kansas City just didn't want to pay that big tab.
- 4:26Speaker 1: It's kind of like the New England way, right, you
- 4:29Speaker 1: get rid of a player right before you got to
- 4:31Speaker 1: pay him big.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I love how the Rams operate. I love how less
- 4:35Speaker 3: Snead and Sean McVay opera. They just go. They're constantly
- 4:38Speaker 3: going for it.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Well, I mean, if then picks, it's but it's kind
- 4:42Speaker 1: of like the Lebron James thought process right where you're
- 4:46Speaker 1: not sure how much longer he has, so every year
- 4:49Speaker 1: you have to try and build a championship year in
- 4:52Speaker 1: LA and only worked once in the bubble obviously, but
- 4:55Speaker 1: that has to be the mentality. You have no idea
- 4:57Speaker 1: how much longer Matthew Stafford is going to play. You
- 5:00Speaker 1: have a young defense without a doubt that you just
- 5:03Speaker 1: added to, but your quarterback position is basically year to year,
- 5:07Speaker 1: so you have to keep reloading to win it.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Mike, It's interesting.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Albert Breer reported that the Colts offered Daniel Jones Sam
- 5:17Speaker 2: Donald type money, and Sam Donald Daniel Jones excuse me,
- 5:22Speaker 2: and his camp came back with a counter of fifty
- 5:25Speaker 2: million dollars a year.
- 5:26Speaker 3: And my only question to you is what the fuck well?
- 5:31Speaker 1: I mean, listen, it's it's negotiating, right, I get it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You're not going to sit there and take the first offer.
- 5:37Speaker 1: But that's listen, Daniel Jones. I mean you're talking about
- 5:40Speaker 1: the the resurrecting the top pick quarterback money, right, Baker Mayfield,
- 5:46Speaker 1: Sam Donald a three year, one hundred million dollar deal,
- 5:49Speaker 1: the thirty to thirty three million dollars a year. That's
- 5:52Speaker 1: where Daniel Jones will probably end up. Though, this is
- 5:56Speaker 1: a good year to be a quarterback. I e. Malink
- 5:59Speaker 1: willis looking for for money because the draft all of
- 6:02Speaker 1: a sudden has no quarterbacks except for one, and he's
- 6:05Speaker 1: going first. So now the quarterbacks position, you know is
- 6:10Speaker 1: though you can get a Kyler Murray and a Tua
- 6:13Speaker 1: Tongue li low for for minimum basically to you know,
- 6:16Speaker 1: because they're getting paid a ton of money from their
- 6:19Speaker 1: previous teams. But this is a good year. This is
- 6:22Speaker 1: just negotiating. He's not he There is no way, I
- 6:25Speaker 1: use my term, there is no way on God's green
- 6:28Speaker 1: Earth Daniel Jones is getting fifty million dollars a year
- 6:34Speaker 1: so far, so far.
- 6:35Speaker 5: The biggest headline today is the Dolphins cut to a
- 6:39Speaker 5: for a record ninety nine million dollar cap hit, and
- 6:42Speaker 5: this just from Adam Schefter. The Falcons are expected to
- 6:46Speaker 5: pursue two of per sources.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Wow, well, listen, A, you can get him cheap and
- 6:52Speaker 1: B it doesn't have to you don't have to insert
- 6:54Speaker 1: him as your starter, so you can have a quality
- 6:58Speaker 1: backup any money he may, Well, it's fifty four million
- 7:01Speaker 1: dollars he's guaranteed this year, but the Loft set it
- 7:04Speaker 1: for two years. It'll be a post June first release,
- 7:07Speaker 1: so they'll get to spread out the ninety nine mil
- 7:09Speaker 1: over two years of dead money. But still it beats
- 7:12Speaker 1: Russell Wilson's dead money I think was eighty some million.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I think it was eighty five million or something like that.
- 7:17Speaker 1: But a team can can can basically take a flyer
- 7:22Speaker 1: on him, right because yes, he's not looking for big money.
- 7:25Speaker 1: You can get him on the cheap.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Plus Atlanta's get him for nothing, Mike essentially.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and Atlanta still has a rookie contract for Penix
- 7:32Speaker 1: and you're not sure when he's coming back, so what
- 7:35Speaker 1: the hell take a flyer?
- 7:36Speaker 4: Yeah, do you think Tua is going to be one
- 7:39Speaker 4: of the quarterbacks, because there's going to be a lot
- 7:41Speaker 4: of movement among the quarterbacks. Do you think he's one
- 7:44Speaker 4: of the ones that's going to be demanding a starting
- 7:47Speaker 4: job because there's only a few starting positions available. While
- 7:51Speaker 4: a few quarterbacks do need quarterbacks, they don't.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I'm not certain towers in a place in a position
- 7:57Speaker 2: to demand anything.
- 7:59Speaker 1: That's exactly what I was going to say.
- 8:00Speaker 2: He's someone's been ninety nine million dollars to tell him
- 8:03Speaker 2: to go away.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It's exactly right. He can demand all he wants, right,
- 8:07Speaker 1: That's gonna be a one sided demand. No, I don't think.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I think the really they're going to be competition everywhere
- 8:17Speaker 1: that you go into unless Daniel Jones doesn't sign back
- 8:21Speaker 1: with the Colts. That maybe opened ol Rightley Leonard showed
- 8:24Speaker 1: the Colts a lot toward the end of that year,
- 8:27Speaker 1: but they still want to bring in a veteran if
- 8:30Speaker 1: they didn't have Daniel Jones to compete there. You're going
- 8:32Speaker 1: to compete in Minnesota with JJ McCarthy, though a veteran
- 8:36Speaker 1: should be able to beat him up. That's probably the
- 8:39Speaker 1: best team to go to if you're a quarterback looking
- 8:43Speaker 1: to kind of restart your career, because I think you
- 8:47Speaker 1: should be able to beat out JJ McCarthy. You have
- 8:49Speaker 1: obviously Justin Jefferson on that offense, and Brian Floory has
- 8:54Speaker 1: led defense, so that that the team and win now mode.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Michael, I will tell you the Falcons not a bit
- 9:00Speaker 2: that spot though, when you did a Drake London and
- 9:02Speaker 2: Bijon Robinson, that's a pretty good spot for quarterback.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And Kyle Pitts. Kyle Pitts had himself a career year,
- 9:08Speaker 1: they tagged him. The defense gets after the passer, so
- 9:11Speaker 1: the defense helps there. So yeah, I think that would
- 9:14Speaker 1: be a good move.
- 9:17Speaker 4: When I say demand, I mean more from his agent
- 9:20Speaker 4: and where he chooses to go than the actual team.
- 9:23Speaker 4: In other words, he can demand to go to a
- 9:25Speaker 4: team like the Jets, where you're gonna come in and
- 9:27Speaker 4: you're gonna start. Or he can demand to go to
- 9:29Speaker 4: say the Vikings, where yeah, you may earn it, you
- 9:33Speaker 4: may not.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I said, he can demand anything anything he
- 9:38Speaker 1: wants the agent and I get what you're saying, but yeah, no.
- 9:42Speaker 3: They're the agent.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah, nobody is going in anywhere as a starter again.
- 9:50Speaker 1: The Colts of Daniel Jones stays he's coming off an injury,
- 9:54Speaker 1: The Falcons Michael Pennix is coming off an injury. The
- 9:58Speaker 1: Vikings JJ McCarthy is coming off not playing well and
- 10:01Speaker 1: not being on the field a whole lot. So there's
- 10:04Speaker 1: and the Cardinals, right Dolphins on the Cardinals, the Miami Dolphins,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and that that's why Malik Willis is going to go
- 10:12Speaker 1: from barely playing to making thirty million dollars a year.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Talk about right time, right.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Place, man.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I'm just trying to think of other spots for Tua,
- 10:22Speaker 2: like I don't know, ninety nine million dollars just to
- 10:24Speaker 2: you know, just to leave. I leave, and I leave,
- 10:27Speaker 2: I mean leave the fucking sport. I have ninety nine
- 10:29Speaker 2: million dollars.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, but he still he still wants to play.
- 10:33Speaker 1: And if he leaves, I don't know. If he gets somebody,
- 10:34Speaker 1: He's got to play, I believe. Plus, I don't know
- 10:39Speaker 1: if he's gonna be Oh yeah, we got to have him.
- 10:41Speaker 1: He's our starter. I don't think. I don't think he's
- 10:43Speaker 1: in that position at all. I think he's going to
- 10:46Speaker 1: be try and be a reclamation project like the Sam
- 10:49Speaker 1: Donald's and Baker Mayfields of the world, even though he
- 10:52Speaker 1: led the league in passing yards a couple of years ago.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yes, Mike, it's interesting. So the Ravens here Friday night
- 10:58Speaker 2: kind of like a news dump. Is something I think
- 11:01Speaker 2: you would want to be more prominent and do it
- 11:03Speaker 2: in the middle of the day like today.
- 11:05Speaker 3: I don't know, but they do get Max Crosby.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I think a lot of people they weren't surprised that
- 11:10Speaker 2: Max Crosby is no longer a Raider. I think a
- 11:13Speaker 2: lot of people were surprised the Ravens with the landing spot.
- 11:16Speaker 3: But the Ravens are clearly telling you we have a
- 11:18Speaker 3: window here.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Lamar Jackson is demanding that we do everything we can
- 11:22Speaker 2: inside of that window.
- 11:24Speaker 3: And Lamar Jackson, now Mike is out of excuses. That's it.
- 11:26Speaker 3: They got a Max Crosby going a Super Bowl.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, listen. And they needed help on the defensive side.
- 11:31Speaker 1: They were in the basically in the twenties defensively giving
- 11:35Speaker 1: up yard to give up almost two hundred and fifty
- 11:37Speaker 1: passing yards a game, over one hundred yards rushing a game.
- 11:42Speaker 1: So they definitely needed help on the defensive side of
- 11:45Speaker 1: the ball, no doubt about it. And they only had
- 11:48Speaker 1: thirty sacks. I mean, they did not get after the
- 11:51Speaker 1: pass rusher at all. And now you have two of
- 11:55Speaker 1: the basically the best at their position. You have basically
- 11:59Speaker 1: one of or in the team picture. Obviously, you have
- 12:01Speaker 1: to give Miles Garrett his flowers, the team picture of
- 12:04Speaker 1: best edge rushers in the league and the best safety
- 12:07Speaker 1: in the league in Kyle Hamilton. So yeah, for a
- 12:10Speaker 1: defense that unfortunately has given a big chunk plays the
- 12:15Speaker 1: last couple of years to get to get quicker pressure
- 12:18Speaker 1: on the quarterback, it's certainly going to help. But you're right.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I mean, this was a team going into this year,
- 12:24Speaker 1: this year's we thought had the most talented roster. Yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 1: they come out of the AFC and then the injury
- 12:29Speaker 1: bug hit him. I'm gonna be real interested in how
- 12:35Speaker 1: the Lamar Jackson offense is run. Two years ago, he
- 12:40Speaker 1: ran the ball a lot. They were the top running
- 12:42Speaker 1: team in the country or in the league. Last year,
- 12:46Speaker 1: because of injuries and I think offensive system, he didn't
- 12:49Speaker 1: run the ball barely at all, and it showed. So
- 12:53Speaker 1: I wonder what they're going to have him do in
- 12:56Speaker 1: this offense coming up this year.
- 12:58Speaker 2: If I'm Joe Burrow, I went out of that division.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, Miles Garrett, T. J.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Watt. Now you get the two guys on the Ravens, holy.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Shit, smokes, And yeah, an offensive line that's not the
- 13:09Speaker 1: greatest in the world. That's that's a dude that is
- 13:11Speaker 1: going to be running around a lot.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and his guy Hendrickson is leaving.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah, oh exactly, exactly. Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 2: On another he'll go to another team AND's on that division,
- 13:23Speaker 2: the second team.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, God, that's just brutal.
- 13:28Speaker 3: It is. It's ridiculous. Go ahead, guys, Stu.
- 13:30Speaker 1: More breaking news coming in.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Travis, never gonna stop. By the time we're done
- 13:34Speaker 2: taping this, we'll have to retape.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Yeah, go ahead.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Best sports days of the year, maybe.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Two of the top ten.
- 13:40Speaker 5: Yes, Travis Kelcey is expected to return to the Kansas
- 13:44Speaker 5: City Chiefs that they're working on a deal now expected
- 13:47Speaker 5: to be a one year deal for him to come back.
- 13:49Speaker 3: All right, Mike, I'm trying to figure out what the
- 13:50Speaker 3: Chiefs are doing.
- 13:51Speaker 2: That's not surprising by the way, and Key playing at
- 13:54Speaker 2: a decent level.
- 13:55Speaker 1: It's not surprising at all. I mean, what what they
- 13:58Speaker 1: need help is the white receiver position. I mean, Kelsey
- 14:02Speaker 1: led by over thirty targets more than the next person.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Had basically twenty three more receptions than Rashi Rice. Between
- 14:11Speaker 1: Rashi Rice and xavery Worthy. You had suspensions, you had injuries,
- 14:15Speaker 1: You've got legal troubles there. I would not be stunned
- 14:19Speaker 1: if they went for a tight end in the draft.
- 14:22Speaker 1: There's a couple of really good ones in Sadik from
- 14:25Speaker 1: Oregon and Solo from what I think Vanderbilt, so I
- 14:31Speaker 1: or a wide receiver. You know that's because I because
- 14:36Speaker 1: I know a lot of the mocks had Jeremiah Love
- 14:38Speaker 1: going there, and that would be a great pick as well.
- 14:40Speaker 1: He's going to be a star in the league. But
- 14:42Speaker 1: they're definitely going to have to go offensive specialty position
- 14:45Speaker 1: or maybe a quarterback now that they that they traded McGuffey.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Stu Gotz here.
- 14:50Speaker 2: College basketball is NonStop, big games, tight spreads, momentum swings
- 14:55Speaker 2: every single night, and now Fandel is giving you a
- 14:58Speaker 2: way to turn that energy into even bigger wins with
- 15:01Speaker 2: a college basketball parlay profit boost.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Here's how it works.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Build any college hoops parlay you like the early tip,
- 15:08Speaker 2: the rivalry game, the rank matchup, the late night West
- 15:11Speaker 2: Coast shootout, mixed spreads, totals, props, whatever fits your red
- 15:15Speaker 2: of the slate. Then just apply your profit boost and
- 15:18Speaker 2: instantly bump up that potential payout. Go safe, go spicy,
- 15:23Speaker 2: Go with the team you've been following all season. It's
- 15:26Speaker 2: your parlay, your style now with more upside behind it.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I'm looking for senior leadership, great guard play, and teams
- 15:34Speaker 2: that are tenacious on the boards.
- 15:36Speaker 3: That's a recipe to win. In March.

- 17:06Speaker 1: Mean is is okay? I guess, but well, he stretches
- 17:11Speaker 1: the defense. That dude stretches the defense. His average per
- 17:15Speaker 1: catch is monstrous. He is going to be he had
- 17:20Speaker 1: he had a great year at the right time, right.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I mean, it's like, okay, pay me, you know I
- 17:24Speaker 1: showed you I had the year in a place where
- 17:28Speaker 1: the quarterback they did not have the greatest quarterback situations
- 17:33Speaker 1: going on there in the last couple of years. So yeah,
- 17:35Speaker 1: he's going to hit it. But he could stretch a defense.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I like him a lot.
- 17:39Speaker 3: How about a crossing pattern? I mean, what do you think?
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yeah, how about an out every once in a while.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, just go ten yards to turn around.
- 17:46Speaker 1: The league is you don't have many deep routes anymore.
- 17:50Speaker 1: The league is shorter passes. The league is the quarterback
- 17:54Speaker 1: getting the ball out of his hands on a on
- 17:56Speaker 1: a slip screen or a hitch or a slant, something
- 17:59Speaker 1: quick where the quarterback gets the ball out. Occasionally you
- 18:03Speaker 1: go deep.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Yeah, what happened to a button hook?
- 18:05Speaker 2: I mean, seriously, the guy had forty seven catches for
- 18:09Speaker 2: one thousand and three yards.
- 18:11Speaker 3: He averaged twenty two yards per catch. I mean, Jesus
- 18:14Speaker 3: a slam pattern.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely amazing what he did. So hey, go get
- 18:22Speaker 1: your money man, Yeah right now.
- 18:24Speaker 5: I feel like the quarterbacks are almost like musical chairs
- 18:27Speaker 5: for this free agency. If Malik Willis goes to Arizona
- 18:31Speaker 5: and Gino Smith goes to Miami and Tua goes to Atlanta,
- 18:35Speaker 5: I feel like the Jets are looking around being like, hey,
- 18:37Speaker 5: there's not too many chairs left. And now that you're
- 18:39Speaker 5: hearing more and more, maybe it is Carson Wentz coming.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Here's here's the thing, though, Please, where Tua goes, where
- 18:47Speaker 1: Kyler goes, where Gino goes, they may not be starting
- 18:51Speaker 1: Those were all starting quarterbacks last year until they weren't right.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Kyler was hurt and then they sat and they didn't
- 18:56Speaker 1: want him get injured to it got benched, Gino got
- 19:00Speaker 1: But those were starting quarterbacks. Now they're going to be
- 19:02Speaker 1: fighting for starting jobs. The one guy who's going to
- 19:05Speaker 1: go into and probably be the automatic starter is Malik Willis. Yes,
- 19:10Speaker 1: Malink Willis a guy who's lived as a backup, and
- 19:14Speaker 1: so many starters for a lot of games are on
- 19:17Speaker 1: the market, and they're going to go in his backups,
- 19:19Speaker 1: and Malik Willis is going to go in as a starter.
- 19:22Speaker 4: We said that about Matt Flynn too, didn't we remember
- 19:24Speaker 4: when he he left Green Bay as the backup he
- 19:27Speaker 4: went and signed in Seattle for big money and they
- 19:30Speaker 4: drafted Russell Wilson.
- 19:31Speaker 2: They're like, you know what, never mind, we're gonna get
- 19:37Speaker 2: stuck with Derek Carr.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I mean, please give him to me so badly.
- 19:43Speaker 4: I want arch Julian saying I want somebody in twenty
- 19:47Speaker 4: twenty seven.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean next year again, they're they're everybody's talking
- 19:51Speaker 1: about next year's quarterback draft. Actually, like they were talking
- 19:54Speaker 1: about this year's quarterback draft till they weren't right.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Yes, all of a.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Sudden, every quarterback fell by the wayside. I still think
- 20:02Speaker 1: it's to gamble to take Ty Simpson in the first
- 20:04Speaker 1: court in the in the first round. But next year
- 20:07Speaker 1: does definitely look to be way more loaded, that's for sure.
- 20:11Speaker 5: Yeah, Mike feels like all the Jets fans, like mikey
- 20:14Speaker 5: A want the Jets to be really bad. But the
- 20:16Speaker 5: other biggest headline from today was the Jets trading with
- 20:20Speaker 5: the Dolphins for Minka Fitzpatrick, which seems to go kind
- 20:24Speaker 5: of counter against that. With Aaron Glenn calling the defense
- 20:27Speaker 5: this year, how do you kind of see Minca playing
- 20:29Speaker 5: in with the Jets.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Well, I listen, it's it's another veteran in there.
- 20:33Speaker 2: You know.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Obviously you have to when you're as bad as they
- 20:36Speaker 1: are and you have a lot of holes to fill,
- 20:38Speaker 1: you got to fill it with some vets. You just
- 20:39Speaker 1: can't get all young guys in there. Like obviously coming
- 20:42Speaker 1: out of the draft, they're gonna they should be able
- 20:44Speaker 1: to have a lot of rookies that are playing right away,
- 20:46Speaker 1: but you gotta you gotta modify that with with uh,
- 20:50Speaker 1: with vets. So I see that as as kind of
- 20:54Speaker 1: make up you know, taking over that defense. Aaron Glenn,
- 20:58Speaker 1: former defensive back obviously different position, but former defensive back,
- 21:02Speaker 1: who's now gonna, like you said, call the place. I
- 21:05Speaker 1: think he wants kind of some veteran leadership on that defense.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Now that obviously you had Sauce Gardner, but he's gone,
- 21:13Speaker 1: So I think that was they were looking for a
- 21:16Speaker 1: veteran presence there. Taylor.
- 21:18Speaker 4: To put it in perspective for you, Minka Fitzpatrick had
- 21:21Speaker 4: one interception last year, which would have led the Jets.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah, let the Jets.
- 21:25Speaker 4: I mean, let's just pump the brakes on and still
- 21:28Speaker 4: bring in They're bringing in a cornerstone here.
- 21:30Speaker 1: That's still amazing to me. Jets got no interceptions. And
- 21:34Speaker 1: then you know, everybody somehow the Cowboys always make it
- 21:38Speaker 1: into the conversation that they wouldn't go to first rounders
- 21:41Speaker 1: to get Max Crosby, were they going to be in
- 21:44Speaker 1: on Jalen Phillips or Trey Hendrickson. And they trade for
- 21:47Speaker 1: Rashan Gary. I mean, to me, that's kind of a
- 21:51Speaker 1: whole hum move. Rashan Gary had seven and a half
- 21:54Speaker 1: sacks last year. All of them were when Michael Parsons
- 21:58Speaker 1: was was before he was injured. I don't believe he
- 22:01Speaker 1: got any after Michael was injured. He's played seven years,
- 22:04Speaker 1: he's never had double digit sacks. I don't know. I
- 22:07Speaker 1: think that was kind of an underwhelming move to sit
- 22:10Speaker 1: there and say, hey, we're taking care of our edge
- 22:12Speaker 1: rushing position. Mike.
- 22:14Speaker 2: It's interesting with the Raven just going back to them
- 22:17Speaker 2: for a second, because there is now a ton of
- 22:20Speaker 2: pressure on Jesse mend here and I'm wondering, would you
- 22:23Speaker 2: rather take a job like the Raven's job where you
- 22:26Speaker 2: have a chance to win right away? I think I
- 22:28Speaker 2: know your raansy here, or a job where you're going
- 22:30Speaker 2: to get two or three years to kind of prove yourself.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Because if this team somehow goes seven to ten in
- 22:36Speaker 2: year one, people are gonna want mintor fired. It's crazy. Yes, yeah,
- 22:41Speaker 2: but you still want to have the better team. I
- 22:43Speaker 2: don't think there's any doubt about that.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Yeah. And listen, we've seen even bad teams coaches last
- 22:48Speaker 1: one year when they're really bad if it just workout,
- 22:52Speaker 1: so they still not as well have a chance yea,
- 22:54Speaker 1: yeah you might. You might as well have a pretty
- 22:55Speaker 1: good roster, and they do. I'm excited to see obviously
- 22:59Speaker 1: he has relationship with that organization. That's going to be
- 23:02Speaker 1: really one to keep an eye on.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Stu.
- 23:05Speaker 5: After the Ravens traded for Max Crosby, the Cowboys offer,
- 23:09Speaker 5: like Mike said, got leaked to what the Cowboys were offering,
- 23:13Speaker 5: and then people were like, wait, why didn't the Patriots
- 23:15Speaker 5: get more involved? And then a report came out that
- 23:18Speaker 5: said Tom Brady reportedly wouldn't have traded Max Crosby to
- 23:22Speaker 5: the Patriots. And if this is true, that statue in
- 23:26Speaker 5: front of Gillette has to come down.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Jet Stadium.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't. We don't know if that's true or not.
- 23:38Speaker 1: We've heard that that, We've heard that that Bill Belichick
- 23:43Speaker 1: wouldn't let what scouts for New England scout there. Guy,
- 23:46Speaker 1: If all that's true, that stuff's just petty. That's just petty,
- 23:50Speaker 1: and that just hurts the player and hurts the team.
- 23:52Speaker 1: On the college level, it hurts the player to not
- 23:54Speaker 1: get looked back by all the teams. And on a
- 23:57Speaker 1: pro level, hell, it could hurt Las Vegas, but they
- 24:00Speaker 1: could have got back, you know, from from New England.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Uh So, yeah, you I have no idea if any
- 24:07Speaker 1: of that's true or not. If it is it's unbelievably petty.
- 24:10Speaker 3: It'd be great if if the Patriots were offering five
- 24:13Speaker 3: first round picks for Max Crosby and Brady was like
- 24:15Speaker 3: that not doing.
- 24:16Speaker 1: It, that would be that would be grounds to never
- 24:19Speaker 1: make a decision for an organization to lose here percentage
- 24:23Speaker 1: of ownership. Yeah, that's exactly right. You can still be
- 24:25Speaker 1: the greatest cornerback of all the time, but you're done
- 24:28Speaker 1: making decisions.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yes, Uh so, Mike you went to uh you went
- 24:32Speaker 2: to Disneyland last week. Mikey made a comment that disney
- 24:36Speaker 2: Land is better than World.
- 24:38Speaker 3: I'm not certain why.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Florida, Claria, Florida, Okay, but.
- 24:44Speaker 2: You went with the grandkids, and I imagine that to
- 24:46Speaker 2: be just an amazing experience.
- 24:48Speaker 1: No awful, just just awful. And I've been to both.
- 24:54Speaker 1: And why I think I would take Disney World is
- 24:59Speaker 1: it's spread out over a bunch of parks. Right, this
- 25:02Speaker 1: is one. This is one where they just freaking shoehorn
- 25:07Speaker 1: everybody in to. Now they have a park, I guess
- 25:10Speaker 1: an another one right across the street that's a little
- 25:13Speaker 1: more grown up, but for the kids, it's one and
- 25:17Speaker 1: again they shoehorn everybody in there and listen. Full disclosure.
- 25:21Speaker 1: We took the kids when they were too young. They
- 25:24Speaker 1: were three and a half and two and a half
- 25:25Speaker 1: and one, and a baby had to come along just
- 25:28Speaker 1: because you couldn't leave it at home. So yes, it
- 25:33Speaker 1: was it was too young, too crowded. Uh, and you
- 25:38Speaker 1: just you just didn't don't get enough bang for your buck. Now, granted,
- 25:42Speaker 1: because I worked at ESPN and and Dizzey for a
- 25:44Speaker 1: bunch of years, the admission is taken care of. Still still, yes,
- 25:51Speaker 1: as a retired employee. Really yeah, okay.
- 25:54Speaker 2: So I didn't retire, that's the difference. Yes, Yeah, well
- 25:58Speaker 2: when I were retired.
- 26:01Speaker 1: If you have me, if you should be getting if
- 26:04Speaker 1: you have to work there for fifteen years or I think,
- 26:07Speaker 1: or whatever, and you could be obviously current or retired. Yeah,
- 26:10Speaker 1: I mean that part of it worked out. But other
- 26:13Speaker 1: than that, you just you just don't get a lot
- 26:15Speaker 1: of a lot of you know, and they get you right.
- 26:19Speaker 1: You either wait an hour and a half in line,
- 26:22Speaker 1: or you buy this thing called a lightning ticket, which
- 26:25Speaker 1: is added on to your ticket. Yes, an extra price, yes,
- 26:29Speaker 1: an extra amount of money to jump the line. So
- 26:34Speaker 1: it's already on godly expensive to get into the place.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Then you have to pay more money if you don't
- 26:39Speaker 1: want to wait an hour and a half in line.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Oh yes, yeah, but it's worth it. Whatever that price is,
- 26:44Speaker 3: it's worth it to not wait in line. I'm telling you.
- 26:46Speaker 2: It's like, you know, when you're standing in line in
- 26:47Speaker 2: the airport and clear comes by.
- 26:49Speaker 1: And all of a sudden, you know, nobody, nobody thinks
- 26:52Speaker 1: of the price when you're when you're just trying to
- 26:54Speaker 1: ease the pain. You'll pay whatever you have to. And
- 26:58Speaker 1: then you leave there and you're like, wait a minute,
- 27:00Speaker 1: how much did I just spend for the weekend.
- 27:04Speaker 3: I didn't go on a single ride.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a it's a it's a tough call, but gosh,
- 27:10Speaker 2: we love it. I can't believe you still get to
- 27:14Speaker 2: go there for free.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah, maybe not after this episode.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Fifteen years that was the plan, by the way, fifty
- 27:20Speaker 3: for me at least.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I made it twenty one years, so I
- 27:24Speaker 1: made it over the threshold.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Congratulations. I'm Jazz Mike.
- 27:27Speaker 5: You hosted one of the best sports shows ever. So
- 27:30Speaker 5: I'm curious your experience when you go to Disneyland. If
- 27:33Speaker 5: you're just in line for the tea Cups. Are people
- 27:35Speaker 5: just coming up to being like, hey, Mike, what do
- 27:36Speaker 5: you think about the Chargers signing alex Ingolds.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Of course they are oh god, yeah, I definitely get
- 27:42Speaker 1: a little bit of football talk. And by the way,
- 27:44Speaker 1: I don't go on the tea Cups. I can't go
- 27:46Speaker 1: on anything spins same. I could do any roller coaster
- 27:50Speaker 1: in the world. Yep, you can drop me, you can
- 27:53Speaker 1: raise me up high, drop me at a thousand miles
- 27:56Speaker 1: an hour, but spin me and I'm done.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Yeah, drugs the line left turns, yes, I do you
- 28:02Speaker 3: spin me?
- 28:03Speaker 1: And I'm like I said, and and people are like, oh,
- 28:06Speaker 1: you don't have to spin on the tea cups. Well,
- 28:08Speaker 1: I don't ride the ride alone. And the person I'm
- 28:11Speaker 1: on usually likes to spin the tea cups to which
- 28:14Speaker 1: I'm getting off and woozy the rest of the day.
- 28:18Speaker 3: But do it fast and get me on a roller
- 28:20Speaker 3: coaster and make it go fast, and I'm totally win.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Absolutely yes. Wait, so how many did you go on Dumbo?
- 28:29Speaker 3: What'd you do?
- 28:30Speaker 1: Like?
- 28:30Speaker 3: What rides did you go on?
- 28:31Speaker 1: I went on the under the Sea ride. Yeah, you know,
- 28:38Speaker 1: what's a nice ride? Any ride that goes inside in
- 28:41Speaker 1: his air conditioned, like, uh, it's a small world under
- 28:46Speaker 1: the sea. Uh, those rides where the boat moves slowly,
- 28:50Speaker 1: the ride takes a while and you're in an enclosed area.
- 28:53Speaker 1: That hair's air conditioning. You want to just keep riding.
- 28:56Speaker 3: That sounds like the hotel pool would have been just
- 28:58Speaker 3: fine for you.
- 29:00Speaker 1: A lazy Give me a lazy river, I know, and
- 29:03Speaker 1: I know in a lazy river, I'm just lazy river.
- 29:06Speaker 1: And and other people's pee, but I don't care.
- 29:11Speaker 2: I'll put it on the pooholetail. When you're a lazy river,
- 29:17Speaker 2: are you in someone else's peak? Because I think Mike
- 29:19Speaker 2: is right.
- 29:20Speaker 1: The water's warm, So how do you think it gets warm? Yes?
- 29:23Speaker 3: What a time of year Mike gets March? I mean,
- 29:27Speaker 3: bring on March madness. Yes, the time the for.
- 29:31Speaker 2: The next three weeks, we'll all care about college basketball,
- 29:34Speaker 2: exactly right, exactly right. I'm finding out who's who, and
- 29:38Speaker 2: who's playing where, and who's goachy ware.
- 29:40Speaker 1: And who are the oh yeah yeah yeah, and and
- 29:43Speaker 1: and the talk of expanding an already too much expanded field.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Yes, you saw that Navy game yesterday?
- 29:50Speaker 1: Beater? Yeah, how about that?
- 29:52Speaker 3: That's what March is all about.
- 29:53Speaker 1: It is always cool, the teams that that punch their
- 29:56Speaker 1: ticket and like the first and second round.
- 29:59Speaker 3: But then everybody, yes, well, of course you don't want,
- 30:03Speaker 3: you don't want.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Cinderella is upsetting you want you want, you know, North Carolina,
- 30:07Speaker 2: Duke U C.
- 30:08Speaker 4: L A.
- 30:08Speaker 7: Mick Arizona, Michigan, Michigan State. Yeah, all those all right, Mike.
- 30:14Speaker 7: It's good to uh, it's good to have you back.
- 30:15Speaker 7: Enjoy the next forty eight hours. The easy at sports
- 30:18Speaker 7: talk you'll ever do. Yeah, oh my god, so easy.
- 30:21Speaker 3: I know, I know. But the time listen, I'm telling you.
- 30:22Speaker 3: The problem is with podcast.
- 30:24Speaker 2: By the time we're done tape, yep, we'll have to
- 30:27Speaker 2: retake because something something, well, it broke right, It's exactly right.
- 30:31Speaker 1: It's very true.
- 30:32Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 30:33Speaker 2: All right, Mike, we'll talk to you soon. I appreciate it.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Sorry you hate disney Land.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I love it.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah,
