- 0:24Speaker 1: to learn from my mistakes over twenty plus years of
- 0:28Speaker 1: being in this industry, being behind the microphone and saying
- 0:31Speaker 1: things putting the cart before the horse.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Barn Ricardo, I can't listen to this anymore. Give me
- 0:36Speaker 4: the music.
- 0:36Speaker 5: What oh Jesus, Trevis Kelsey, what couldn't even bother showing
- 0:41Speaker 5: up for Game four?
- 0:43Speaker 4: But don't feel bad, Travis, you learn to the Cavs red.
- 0:48Speaker 5: Kenny Atkinson saying the Calves analytically.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Won two of the first three games. Jenny put that
- 0:55Speaker 4: on a Betner and then shove it up here. Whatan
- 1:00Speaker 4: Mitchell or like done? Ovin Mitchell done?
- 1:04Speaker 5: Evan Dean Wade fitting your box score says d Wade.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Series was over in a flash.
- 1:15Speaker 6: See what he did there? Flashed way Wade.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Jared Allensaffro got picked out as much as the Cavs
- 1:22Speaker 5: got picked apart.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna get carried away. Give it to him again, card,
- 1:31Speaker 1: Give it to me again. Give it to him again.
- 1:34Speaker 5: What JAYLEB Brunson said any time he saw James Harden
- 1:38Speaker 5: guarding him. If James Harden was on Cleveland's baseball team,
- 1:43Speaker 5: they wouldn't be called the Guardians. They'd be called the
- 1:46Speaker 5: Ians because he won't guard a thing.
- 1:52Speaker 3: The Ians.
- 1:54Speaker 5: For the first time in the history of mankind, celebrities
- 1:58Speaker 5: went to Cleveland on purpose.
- 2:00Speaker 4: You're welcome Cleveland.
- 2:03Speaker 5: The Atkins diet cuts carbs to lose weight. Well, the
- 2:07Speaker 5: Kenny Atkinson diet is all about building twenty point leads
- 2:11Speaker 5: to loose kame. Brian win Ors called Dean Wade the
- 2:18Speaker 5: Jalen Brunson.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Stop her, that's all you am. Give it to him again.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Give it to him again. Born at Ricardo.
- 2:29Speaker 5: I keep seeing people say, where do the Cavs go
- 2:32Speaker 5: from here? Can con Cobo Turks and k Coos. I
- 2:37Speaker 5: don't give her where you go?
- 2:40Speaker 6: Kenny Atkinson think he's going to the finals?
- 2:42Speaker 5: James Harden, I get a hook anytime I say Brunson
- 2:47Speaker 5: matched up against you, you traffic Coneme.
- 2:52Speaker 4: James Cleveland. You have the Cleveland Cultural Gardens.
- 2:59Speaker 7: We have the Harden Mecca.
- 3:03Speaker 4: The lights were too bright for James Harden.
- 3:06Speaker 5: He prefers in for in dark with music and scantily
- 3:11Speaker 5: dressed women.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Those of us who don't play basketball.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Give it to him again, Give it to him again again.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Cleveland is the birthplace of Jake Paul. That makes sense
- 3:30Speaker 5: because the Cabs.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Got knocked out.
- 3:32Speaker 5: As soon as they saw a real team. James Harden,
- 3:39Speaker 5: you should be embarrassed. Shames Harden not playing anymore. James
- 3:44Speaker 5: Harden heading to Kakun on a Plane's Harden.
- 3:50Speaker 4: The Cleveland's downtown area.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Once had more millionaires per capita than almost any US city.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Then they woke up and realized they could be anywhere else.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Heavin Mobley, The Calves would have had a better chance
- 4:06Speaker 5: with Katino.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Mobley last night. He's good.
- 4:11Speaker 5: To Snickbride, so good on your entire franchise, Cleveland.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Again, Give it to him again.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Mistake by the Lake more like mistake after mistake after
- 4:25Speaker 1: mistake after mistake after mistake by the Lake.
- 4:29Speaker 5: The Calves won as many games this series as there
- 4:32Speaker 5: are things to do in all of Cleveland. Cleveland, you
- 4:40Speaker 5: have James Harden step back, we have fat Joe's lean back. Yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 5: don't dance, we just pull up our pants. Mcow Bridges
- 4:48Speaker 5: hits a fade away now, lean back, now, lean back.
- 4:54Speaker 4: CJ.
- 4:54Speaker 3: McCollum, Oh yeah, thank you.
- 4:56Speaker 4: For waking up a monster.
- 5:00Speaker 7: Hawks of the second best in the East.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Cleveland. You call yourself the land, we are the city.
- 5:10Speaker 7: That's a terrible insult.
- 5:12Speaker 6: He wants it again.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Give it to him again.
- 5:14Speaker 6: He's gonna have their boys on the radio.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Joe Bicky Cleveland. It's the birthplace of Mike Golick. Cleveland.
- 5:22Speaker 4: You can go lick.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Mike Brownson for firing him, not once, but twice.
- 5:30Speaker 3: See what he did there with Golic.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Yeah, look at it, Joe MP.
- 5:35Speaker 5: We got pack home, Dottie and Tyler Collick points in
- 5:39Speaker 5: an Eastern Conference final before you could even get there.
- 5:45Speaker 5: President James A. Garfield is buried in Cleveland. He got assassinated,
- 5:52Speaker 5: and still his worst fate was ending up in Cleveland
- 5:56Speaker 5: for eternity.
- 6:01Speaker 3: How worth of the assassination?
- 6:04Speaker 4: Sam Merrill? Sam, I am Sam, No, you isn't.
- 6:09Speaker 7: Do you want it again?
- 6:10Speaker 3: Do you he want it again?
- 6:12Speaker 4: Cur thin you can do it again.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Go for Jalen Tyson more like Tyson Chicken because he
- 6:18Speaker 5: was barbecue Chicken garden Brunson last night.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I love Tyson Chicken.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Spider Mitchell, thetsy bitsy Spider had his next bout.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Next made it rain and they spit that spider out.
- 6:32Speaker 4: He spit on that thing. Give it that Hawk to
- 6:35Speaker 4: eleven straight wins.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Nick's Heaven lost since the Hawks took Tuas.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Games in that series.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I told you not to get carried away.
- 6:47Speaker 8: I'm sweating.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I know you are.
- 6:49Speaker 5: No.
- 6:49Speaker 3: The's a tough to do.
- 6:50Speaker 6: I know they're I don't keep going thunder through it.
- 6:52Speaker 3: We're in the finals. We're in the finals, Taylor, come tell.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Them man, Cleveland, keep your chin up. The Browns reports
- 6:59Speaker 5: a training camp.
- 7:00Speaker 4: He lost the two one.
- 7:02Speaker 7: At least you have that to look poet too.
- 7:05Speaker 4: He wants it again, Ricardo.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Give it to him again.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Cleveland used to be called Cleveland.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Now they have to Cleveland because the finals is something
- 7:14Speaker 5: they will never achieve Land ever again.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Steve got to help me out here.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Oh h oh h i o oh h io, oh
- 7:28Speaker 5: ah io.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Now do it back to me.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Oh ah.
- 7:31Speaker 4: I owe everybody an apology.
- 7:33Speaker 5: You're saying mixed in five, especially Hugh Jalen Brunton.
- 7:37Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 7:39Speaker 5: It's still not as sorry as James Harden wants off series.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I had him in four. Heavy.
- 7:46Speaker 5: New York City always ranks at the dirtiest city in
- 7:51Speaker 5: all of America. Yet our basketball team can't stop sold Bill.
- 8:02Speaker 8: He's not gonna be on the radio show.
- 8:03Speaker 4: He's done. My voice is day to day.
- 8:05Speaker 8: He is fried.
- 8:07Speaker 1: At least the defending NBA champions or the best player.
- 8:11Speaker 4: In the world.
- 8:12Speaker 6: Is it waiting for us in the finals.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 8:20Speaker 2: Live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 8:24Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Golic returns to radio and we have a no hitter
- 8:32Speaker 1: in progress some of that.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Uh hey, the.
- 8:34Speaker 9: News is the Guardians winning though leading the Central right now, okay.
- 8:38Speaker 7: My Cleveland Guardians, right, yeah.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yes, how do you feel about a combined no hitter, Mike?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Because of my personal record book, a combined no hitter
- 8:47Speaker 1: is not a no hitter.
- 8:48Speaker 9: It's just well, I'm I'm sure the team that throws
- 8:52Speaker 9: the combined no hitter really gives a damn about your
- 8:54Speaker 9: feelings toward a combined no hitter. Listen, a no hitter,
- 8:59Speaker 9: I'll bee goes to the picture, right.
- 9:02Speaker 7: But it's still a.
- 9:03Speaker 9: Team effort because they're not all strikeouts right there.
- 9:06Speaker 7: There's hits to.
- 9:07Speaker 9: The field, there's sometimes there's unbelievable plays to save a
- 9:11Speaker 9: no hitter. So while it doesn't have the juice of
- 9:13Speaker 9: one pitcher going a complete game, because that's almost unheard
- 9:17Speaker 9: of in Major League Baseball, now, to me as a
- 9:20Speaker 9: former athlete, I'm still gonna say it's a great feat.
- 9:24Speaker 10: How about those Guardians Mike first to top the Al
- 9:26Speaker 10: Central banner week for Cleveland Sports.
- 9:28Speaker 9: Eh, he's giving them a luck on the first lock?
- 9:37Speaker 3: What the hell is that, Mikey? Yeah?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Wait wait wait, first segment, first segment, Mikey, it was
- 9:43Speaker 1: a Saints and Megez.
- 9:45Speaker 9: That wasn't even a knife in the back. That was
- 9:47Speaker 9: a stare me right in the face, a knife me
- 9:50Speaker 9: in the chest.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Geez.
- 9:52Speaker 9: Hey, don't worry. Cleveland's got Lebron James coming next year.
- 9:55Speaker 9: And if you believe that I got a lot of
- 9:58Speaker 9: land for you to buy.
- 9:59Speaker 3: He ain't come in the Cleveland.
- 10:00Speaker 6: You always have the Browns right around the corner, Mike, it.
- 10:06Speaker 7: Just gets worse.
- 10:09Speaker 1: How do you feel about Travis Kelcey chugging a beer
- 10:12Speaker 1: court side at the Calves game and then he doesn't
- 10:15Speaker 1: show up for game four?
- 10:16Speaker 3: I mean half of that, huh?
- 10:17Speaker 4: I will I.
- 10:18Speaker 9: Will never never disparage a person for chugging a beer.
- 10:22Speaker 9: I am a renowned beer chugger. I can chug a
- 10:25Speaker 9: beer with the best of them, And if there's an
- 10:28Speaker 9: opportunity camera or no camera to chug a beer, I
- 10:31Speaker 9: will chug said beer. It's amazing. But listen, when you're
- 10:35Speaker 9: in the stratosphere that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey are,
- 10:38Speaker 9: everything gets ripped. Apart from chugging a beer to the
- 10:41Speaker 9: clothes he's wearing. I mean, you just have to put
- 10:44Speaker 9: on blinders to what people say.
- 10:46Speaker 1: It was interesting because to see Taylor and her not
- 10:51Speaker 1: be the focal point, meaning most of the fans there
- 10:53Speaker 1: just wanted to see Kelsey and didn't care about Taylor,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and she seemed to enjoy that very very much.
- 10:59Speaker 9: Oh, I would think so. I mean, Stull, you know this,
- 11:01Speaker 9: You're you're in the spotlight all the time. You got
- 11:04Speaker 9: to like when you can just blend into the background, right.
- 11:07Speaker 7: Yes, Yes, it's the greatest.
- 11:09Speaker 8: Yes.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Like Bill Walton at the mic and Mike Wedding, I
- 11:15Speaker 1: don't like talking to people.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I mean, put it on the pall. That is amazing.
- 11:19Speaker 9: We talked for a living, Yet we don't really like
- 11:21Speaker 9: talking to people outside of this.
- 11:23Speaker 3: I know.
- 11:23Speaker 1: It's just uh, no one talks for two hours consecutively,
- 11:28Speaker 1: like the way. We're always trying to advance a conversation
- 11:32Speaker 1: forward and so you're just exhausted and drained afterwards.
- 11:35Speaker 3: It's hard to explain what's that like.
- 11:38Speaker 1: But Mike, I'm wondering when, throughout your storied career, when
- 11:41Speaker 1: did you realize that the things you were saying into
- 11:43Speaker 1: a microphone the teams didn't care about because you were
- 11:46Speaker 1: so right about me saying what I said and the
- 11:48Speaker 1: team not caring about what it is I said. But
- 11:51Speaker 1: we all like to think our opinions matter and they
- 11:53Speaker 1: really don't.
- 11:54Speaker 7: Well, it's amazing.
- 11:55Speaker 9: When when I first got out of the league and
- 11:58Speaker 9: was doing NFL which is now NFL Live, was NFL
- 12:02Speaker 9: Tonight with me, Mark Malone, Shawn Salisbury and Merrill Hodge. Wow,
- 12:06Speaker 9: So what happened there is I would do that show
- 12:10Speaker 9: during the week and then I would go cover a
- 12:13Speaker 9: game on the weekend, and it wasn't so much fans
- 12:17Speaker 9: caring about it, but players.
- 12:19Speaker 7: If I said something in a negative.
- 12:22Speaker 9: Way, or I ripped a player but you know, was
- 12:24Speaker 9: an analyst and called a player out from this and
- 12:27Speaker 9: this or doing that, I would hear it from said player.
- 12:30Speaker 9: If I go cover their game, they would and I
- 12:33Speaker 9: would say, listen, I try and make sure I know
- 12:36Speaker 9: what I'm talking about. If I'm wrong, tell me I'm wrong.
- 12:39Speaker 9: They just don't like a former player ripping a current player.
- 12:43Speaker 9: And that's one of the hardest things as any athlete
- 12:45Speaker 9: in any sport going into the broadcasting business, you have
- 12:49Speaker 9: to get over that hump of I now have to
- 12:52Speaker 9: criticize people for.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Doing what I made a living doing.
- 12:55Speaker 9: Sure, but after a while, yeah, you just you just
- 12:59Speaker 9: you're like, oh, should I have said that? And then
- 13:01Speaker 9: you're like, who cares? They don't care. They don't care.
- 13:07Speaker 9: I don't care. They don't care.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I had to tell Mike Francesa once because he and
- 13:11Speaker 1: Chris Russo believed at one point and their Powers they
- 13:14Speaker 1: had listen Maximum Powers in the biggest market in the world,
- 13:18Speaker 1: the highest rated show, but they thought they could get
- 13:20Speaker 1: a Yankee manager fired, And I told them, Mike, you're
- 13:23Speaker 1: not getting a Yankee manager fired. If they want to
- 13:25Speaker 1: fire them, it's not because of you. They're just going
- 13:27Speaker 1: to fire them, you know.
- 13:28Speaker 9: But it is amazing in the era we live in
- 13:31Speaker 9: which listen, if this is how people want to do shows,
- 13:34Speaker 9: there is more broadcaster on broadcaster crime than I have
- 13:39Speaker 9: ever seen in this interesting industry. Everybody's picking a fight
- 13:43Speaker 9: with everybody else behind the camera.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I'm like, what are we doing?
- 13:47Speaker 1: Yes, yes, we're very sensitive as broadcasters like to rip people,
- 13:53Speaker 1: but god forbid someone rip us.
- 13:55Speaker 7: Oh my god, No, nobody do that.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, well yeah, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox,
- 14:01Speaker 1: speaking of your Guardian det Travis Kelcey, he purchased a
- 14:05Speaker 1: minority state in that team, which is interesting.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Mike, you're happy about that, I'm assuming, right, Well, I.
- 14:12Speaker 9: Mean they're actually there are a number of football players
- 14:18Speaker 9: or I mean basketball players that are minority owners now.
- 14:21Speaker 9: Travis obviously a football player minority in the Guardians, Lebron James,
- 14:25Speaker 9: minority owner of the Red Sox, Janisntetokoupo minority owner of Milwaukee,
- 14:30Speaker 9: Kate Cunningham, minority owner of the Rangers, and Mahomes is
- 14:35Speaker 9: a minority owner of Kansas City, So I mean, that's
- 14:39Speaker 9: that's kind of the thing to do. Now you see
- 14:40Speaker 9: other ballplayers minority owner in soccer clubs. Mahomes and Travis
- 14:45Speaker 9: are minority owners in Alpine Formula F one Formula.
- 14:49Speaker 3: One as well.
- 14:52Speaker 9: I always thought it'd be cool to be a minority owner.
- 14:56Speaker 3: It's just a matter.
- 14:56Speaker 7: Of what like you still would you would you want to.
- 15:00Speaker 9: Be if you had the means the minority owner of
- 15:03Speaker 9: the Jets.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Wow, Oh that's a great question. I'd like to think
- 15:08Speaker 3: I could make a difference.
- 15:10Speaker 7: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no no no.
- 15:12Speaker 1: So I don't have any say you, So you have
- 15:15Speaker 1: to say, okay, I don't have any power.
- 15:17Speaker 6: Okay, I have no power.
- 15:18Speaker 1: So you're making this like Venus and Serena Williams, they
- 15:20Speaker 1: were once owners of the Dolphins.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Stu has himself going to scout quarterbacks.
- 15:24Speaker 7: That's what the player I just mentioned.
- 15:28Speaker 3: They don't.
- 15:28Speaker 9: They don't have any power. Now Tom Brady does with
- 15:31Speaker 9: the Raiders, but these guys don't with their baseball teams.
- 15:34Speaker 9: You just you just have the joy of sitting in
- 15:37Speaker 9: an owner's box as a minority.
- 15:39Speaker 7: Owner of eighteen? Okay, would it be the Jets or
- 15:42Speaker 7: would it be somebody else?
- 15:43Speaker 1: I don't want to sit with Woody Johnson. I mean,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I just I don't. I have no desire to sit
- 15:47Speaker 1: with that man. He has made my life a misery.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I mean for forty years.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I don't want to say with him.
- 15:54Speaker 9: Would you not want to be minority owner then? Because
- 15:56Speaker 9: you'd have to, you know, converse with him.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Well, I just said I don't like talking. Do I
- 16:03Speaker 1: have to sit in the box? Do I have to
- 16:04Speaker 1: sit in the owner's box?
- 16:08Speaker 3: Jets?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Okay, Mikey, would you like that as a Jet fan?
- 16:11Speaker 1: Because I'm trying to think, are you saying I can
- 16:13Speaker 1: only pick one team here?
- 16:15Speaker 9: On one team in any sport, any pro sport you
- 16:18Speaker 9: can be the minority owner of.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Who would you pick?
- 16:21Speaker 1: Wow, it's such a good question, Mikey, Would you want
- 16:24Speaker 1: to be an owner of the Jets?
- 16:26Speaker 8: Not the Jets? No, there's there's definitely a few teams.
- 16:29Speaker 8: What I would want to do is you don't want like.
- 16:31Speaker 10: The highest of the high in in in each sport,
- 16:34Speaker 10: because then you're you're gonna you're gonna get kind of lost, like, oh,
- 16:37Speaker 10: you're a minority owner of the Yankees, and you want.
- 16:39Speaker 8: To sit in the box. Sorry, it's booked, you know,
- 16:42Speaker 8: like right, yes, try again.
- 16:44Speaker 10: Yes, you know we can give you the game against
- 16:46Speaker 10: you know, the Phillies in three months.
- 16:49Speaker 8: So I wouldn't want the Yankees.
- 16:51Speaker 10: I'm trying to think of like a team that's good enough,
- 16:53Speaker 10: but like not quite that.
- 16:56Speaker 8: Like I was thinking maybe the Tampa Bay Bucks, like
- 16:58Speaker 8: a team that could be good, but isn't so big
- 17:02Speaker 8: that you could get the box when you wanted it.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yep, so much so that Todd Bowles never gets fired.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I mean, it just keeps getting extensions.
- 17:08Speaker 9: So I would think a return on investment, it would
- 17:12Speaker 9: be an NFL team, right ROI sure, because they they
- 17:16Speaker 9: they are the ones that seemed to jump the most.
- 17:19Speaker 9: But you know, yeah, I always thought that interesting. You know,
- 17:22Speaker 9: who would you want to be in a minority owner of?
- 17:24Speaker 11: Yes, so prisoner of the moment for me would be
- 17:27Speaker 11: the Knicks. But I'm gonna I'm gonna take out my
- 17:31Speaker 11: favorite teams just because it feels like almost too easy
- 17:34Speaker 11: of an answer. Yankees, Knicks and I'm gonna go I'm
- 17:39Speaker 11: gonna stay in baseball. Golick and I'm gonna say the Cubs.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Wow, that's not a bad one. That's a good one
- 17:46Speaker 3: and a bad one.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean the Knicks. You're sitting, you know,
- 17:50Speaker 1: with James Dolan. By the way, thank you to James
- 17:52Speaker 1: Dolan for finally staying out of the way, just shutting up,
- 17:55Speaker 1: hiring Leon Rose, letting Leon Rose do the business of basketball,
- 18:00Speaker 1: all put together this basketball team. And thank you to
- 18:02Speaker 1: Leon Rose for not speaking to the media because the
- 18:05Speaker 1: Knicks are in the NBA Finals and four games away
- 18:08Speaker 1: from winning an NBA title. And I'm not saying that
- 18:12Speaker 1: those guys being quiet has anything to do.
- 18:14Speaker 3: With it, but it certainly helps.
- 18:16Speaker 1: So thank you for allowing me to thank James Dolan
- 18:19Speaker 1: and Leon Rose for simply shutting up.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I appreciate it.
- 18:24Speaker 8: Rose on the show.
- 18:25Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's not talking to anybody.
- 18:29Speaker 9: Yes, speaking of speaking of ownership, my wife had always
- 18:32Speaker 9: said she either wanted to be Van of White or
- 18:35Speaker 9: part owner of the of the Bears.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Those were her because she's from Chicago. Those were her
- 18:39Speaker 3: two things.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I got to tell you, miss and she ended up
- 18:42Speaker 1: marrying me. Well, missus, dolic isn't bad. I mean, it's
- 18:44Speaker 1: a nice consolation.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Prize. Huh is it?
- 18:49Speaker 6: You've done pretty well for yourself.
- 18:50Speaker 8: Mike.
- 18:53Speaker 1: You could actually be an owner of one of these
- 18:54Speaker 1: teams if you wanted to.
- 18:55Speaker 3: I mean, oh, you.
- 18:57Speaker 9: Want to talk about the most minority of all. Yeah,
- 19:00Speaker 9: they would still have me selling tickets, all right, So.
- 19:03Speaker 3: What team would you go with? Mike?
- 19:04Speaker 6: Which team?
- 19:05Speaker 9: If you I don't know, I mean you would think
- 19:09Speaker 9: I would pick my my hometown Cleveland.
- 19:12Speaker 3: You know, I'm a football guy.
- 19:14Speaker 9: Be probably be a football team because listen, I love
- 19:19Speaker 9: wrestling as well. I wrestled in college, but there's no
- 19:22Speaker 9: like pro I mean WWE. But I I I if
- 19:29Speaker 9: it was you know, maybe the Eagles because that's where
- 19:31Speaker 9: I where I played the most. Maybe, and then you know,
- 19:35Speaker 9: and then I get, you know, Philly cheese steaks free
- 19:37Speaker 9: for the rest of my life, which would be cool?
- 19:40Speaker 3: Be cool? Always thinking with your stomach? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 19:43Speaker 3: well yeah, you're a goal with that.
- 19:44Speaker 9: That's probably where I would initially lean.
- 19:49Speaker 6: Okay, Taylor, do you have your team yet?
- 19:52Speaker 3: Like do we have?
- 19:53Speaker 1: I'm thinking I'm thinking the Knicks. It has to be
- 19:55Speaker 1: the Knicks at this point, Like so.
- 19:57Speaker 11: For me and why I really want to eliminate my
- 19:59Speaker 11: teams is I don't want to be hated by my
- 20:02Speaker 11: fan base, which is why I was also expanding to
- 20:05Speaker 11: the cubs, like I don't like to talk to people,
- 20:07Speaker 11: but I don't like to not be liked to.
- 20:10Speaker 8: All Right, it's fair.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Let's play do me a favor here? Iowa, Sam, give
- 20:14Speaker 1: me the music please.
- 20:17Speaker 8: Exciting?
- 20:19Speaker 1: All right, Mike, we go around the room here, it's
- 20:23Speaker 1: really a take, and just figure out a place to
- 20:25Speaker 1: weave in.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Do me a favor, just the long and short of it.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Let's go to Let's go to mikey a first on
- 20:35Speaker 1: this round of do me a favor here?
- 20:39Speaker 10: All right, I am somebody who likes a clean phone.
- 20:42Speaker 8: I do not like a lot of messages. I do
- 20:45Speaker 8: not like a lot of unread emails.
- 20:48Speaker 10: So all these apps, do me a favor if you
- 20:51Speaker 10: put the little red dot saying I have a notification,
- 20:55Speaker 10: tell me where it is, okay, because.
- 20:57Speaker 8: I'm sick of seeing the little red dot.
- 20:59Speaker 10: And I open the app and I can't find what
- 21:01Speaker 10: you're trying to tell me, and I can't get rid
- 21:03Speaker 10: of the little red dot, and it's just mocking me
- 21:06Speaker 10: from my phone, like, hey.
- 21:07Speaker 8: There's something you're missing in this happen. You can't find
- 21:09Speaker 8: it yet, do me a favor, get rid of it.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you said, I gotta tell you, you sound as
- 21:14Speaker 1: old as I do. And that's because we're the same age, of.
- 21:17Speaker 10: Course, right, yes, yes, that's because I'm closer to Taylor's
- 21:20Speaker 10: age n.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Years Mike, Mike, do you know I thought me and
- 21:24Speaker 1: Mike Ea, who I've known for fifteen years now.
- 21:26Speaker 6: I thought we were the same age.
- 21:29Speaker 9: Seriously, I even knew you weren't the same age. I mean,
- 21:32Speaker 9: mikey as what two three years older than you.
- 21:36Speaker 8: I deserve that. I deserved that before. And you know
- 21:39Speaker 8: what hit my hat? That's a Hall of Famer Mike.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll love this. This is why I love this
- 21:44Speaker 1: family so much. Okay, I mean I'm an unofficial part
- 21:47Speaker 1: of this family. I'm table one of the wedding. I'm
- 21:49Speaker 1: expecting it. At least I'm three quarters of the way
- 21:51Speaker 1: through Mike Golick Junior's best man speech.
- 21:54Speaker 3: But there was a time where Mike.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Golick Junior had to pull me aside and say, listen,
- 21:58Speaker 1: you are a lot closer in age to my dad
- 22:00Speaker 1: than you ordered me. And what he was trying to
- 22:02Speaker 1: tell me is he's the guy you should be friends.
- 22:04Speaker 3: With, not me.
- 22:07Speaker 9: But you did more stuff with my son than you
- 22:11Speaker 9: did with me when you guys did like the marathon,
- 22:13Speaker 9: the yes marathon. Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, You've done way more.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Stuff with him. Yes, it's why I'm not going on
- 22:21Speaker 3: the Bachelor Party.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I mean, I just I have no doubt. I'm paying
- 22:24Speaker 1: for it, me and you, we're both paying for it. Yes, yeah,
- 22:27Speaker 1: there you go, and I won't be there. I'll be Hey,
- 22:29Speaker 1: I want to go to sleep. Let's go to tail it.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Don't blame me.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you, Bryce Harper.
- 22:35Speaker 11: Do me a favor and apply toothpaste like a normal person.
- 22:38Speaker 11: I don't know if you guys saw video going around
- 22:41Speaker 11: with Bryce Harper.
- 22:41Speaker 3: What's he doing?
- 22:42Speaker 11: He posted a TikTok. He takes his toothpaste. This wasn't
- 22:46Speaker 11: even the point of the TikTok. It was just kind
- 22:48Speaker 11: of a byproduct of the video. He takes toothpaste and
- 22:51Speaker 11: he just applies it into his mouth instead of putting
- 22:54Speaker 11: it on the toothbrush first.
- 22:57Speaker 4: What it was psychotic behavior, Taylor.
- 23:00Speaker 3: I'm not gonna lie.
- 23:02Speaker 9: I saw it and I'm like, huh, don't have a
- 23:06Speaker 9: problem with it.
- 23:07Speaker 8: Really, it's grossest I've ever seen.
- 23:09Speaker 3: The end reason.
- 23:10Speaker 9: Wait a minute, The end result is the same. There
- 23:14Speaker 9: is toothpaste in your mouth, is getting brushed onto your
- 23:17Speaker 9: teeth and gums. It's just the initial process. There's no difference.
- 23:23Speaker 8: He ate the toothpaste like he was sucking a jolly rancher, like.
- 23:27Speaker 4: It didn't go on his teeth.
- 23:29Speaker 8: It went in his mouth, like on his tongue.
- 23:32Speaker 9: He put it in his mouth, and then he used
- 23:34Speaker 9: his toothbrush and moved it around like you normally would
- 23:38Speaker 9: move toothpaste around.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Did he put water on the toothbrush? There needs to
- 23:41Speaker 1: be a buffer. You don't just put toothpaste in your mouth.
- 23:44Speaker 6: I mean that.
- 23:45Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know if I saw water
- 23:47Speaker 3: on the toothbrush.
- 23:49Speaker 11: Everybody was too focused on just how he applied the toothpaste.
- 23:53Speaker 9: At first, I wasn't sure what he was doing, quite honestly,
- 23:57Speaker 9: and then I thought, okay, all right, I thought, end
- 24:01Speaker 9: result is the same.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Process is a little different.
- 24:04Speaker 6: Wait, so he squirted it right out of the tube
- 24:06Speaker 6: into his mouth.
- 24:07Speaker 7: Yes, yes, yes, yes, and then and then rushed it.
- 24:11Speaker 8: It's weird.
- 24:13Speaker 3: It was weird.
- 24:13Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll give you that.
- 24:14Speaker 9: It was because because it wasn't It was out of
- 24:16Speaker 9: the norm. Yes, but again, the end result I think
- 24:19Speaker 9: was the same.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Yeah, let's go to bardout Ricardo, uh bord up, Ricardo,
- 24:24Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 24:24Speaker 6: We are prying him away from day baseball.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Bardout Ricardo, go ahead.
- 24:29Speaker 6: It was cute at first, but do me a favor.
- 24:31Speaker 12: Enough with the tarps off sections in baseball, it's a clown.
- 24:34Speaker 6: Shot, Mike, like that one. Thank you for taking your
- 24:41Speaker 6: eyes off the television screen for a minute.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 24:43Speaker 9: I always wished I was in a position to take
- 24:46Speaker 9: my shirt off in public, and I, even even in
- 24:49Speaker 9: the best shape I was in in the NFL, I
- 24:51Speaker 9: could not take my shirt off in public, and.
- 24:53Speaker 3: That always bummed me out. All right, go ahead, go
- 24:55Speaker 3: like you're up. All right. What's the segment called again?
- 25:00Speaker 8: Do me a favor?
- 25:01Speaker 3: Yes, yes, I love you.
- 25:03Speaker 9: This one is for everybody out there, because everybody uses.
- 25:08Speaker 3: This for the most part. Do me a favor.
- 25:12Speaker 9: Stop calling it a ten minute oil change when it's
- 25:16Speaker 9: never a ten minute oil change.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:20Speaker 9: I've owned a lot of different cars in my life,
- 25:22Speaker 9: and I've got an oil change in all of them,
- 25:24Speaker 9: and it takes freaking twenty minutes to a half hour.
- 25:27Speaker 7: Every time.
- 25:28Speaker 9: I don't know where these ten minute oil changes occur.
- 25:31Speaker 9: I hear commercials for them all the time. I pull
- 25:34Speaker 9: in half hour later, I'm looking at my watch saying,
- 25:37Speaker 9: where's the ten minute oil change? And I hear some
- 25:40Speaker 9: kind of an excuse on why it's not a ten.
- 25:43Speaker 7: Minute oil change.
- 25:44Speaker 9: Stop advertising ten minute oil change when you can't get
- 25:48Speaker 9: it done in ten minutes.
- 25:49Speaker 8: Yep, it's like New York's never just an oil change. Never.
- 25:52Speaker 1: And it's also like New York pizza. In every city
- 25:54Speaker 1: it's not New York pizza. It's just a tool to
- 25:56Speaker 1: get you inside the building. Mic, that's all it is.
- 25:58Speaker 3: It's ten minutes.
- 25:59Speaker 1: You'll be here for ten minutes in and out, and
- 26:01Speaker 1: you know you're not gonna be and.
- 26:02Speaker 6: You fall for it.
- 26:03Speaker 8: Every time.
- 26:03Speaker 6: It's on you, it's not on them. I gotta be
- 26:05Speaker 6: honest with you.
- 26:06Speaker 9: And well, as they're advertising that, I'm believing the advertisement. Yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 9: but I'm done believing the advertisement. I go there knowing
- 26:15Speaker 9: it's a half hour of my time.
- 26:17Speaker 8: That was a great one.
- 26:18Speaker 3: That was a great one. It was so good. He's
- 26:20Speaker 3: a Hall of Famer.
- 26:20Speaker 6: I mean, it's unbelievable.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Everyone who's not a Nick fan, Do me a favor.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Stop being a Nick fan. Peter Schrager, Reggie Miller, all
- 26:28Speaker 1: these people coming out of the woodwors. We don't want you.
- 26:32Speaker 1: You spent the last two decades laughing at us.
- 26:34Speaker 3: You know what we don't want.
- 26:35Speaker 1: We don't want the people laughing at us now cheering
- 26:38Speaker 1: with us and cheering for our team. Do us a favor,
- 26:42Speaker 1: Do us all a favor. They're our team, they're not yours.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Let us enjoy this. You cannot enjoy it. Do me
- 26:50Speaker 1: a favor. All non Nick fans, don't tell me now
- 26:54Speaker 1: that you're a Nick fan. We don't want you.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

- 27:09Speaker 2: listen live.
- 27:11Speaker 6: Adnan Urk is with us as he is out.
- 27:13Speaker 1: He's tired of the Knicks, and we'll get to the
- 27:16Speaker 1: Knicks in just a second here. Taylor thinks, I feel bad,
- 27:19Speaker 1: I really do for Canada. South Florida stole hockey from
- 27:22Speaker 1: him now that Carolinas. It's unbelievable. Montreal is going to
- 27:27Speaker 1: lose to the Carolina Hurricanes. Taylor thinks this is interesting.
- 27:30Speaker 1: And Nan Taylor thinks that Montreal, they know, showed essentially, and.
- 27:35Speaker 6: I can't say I disagree with them. They've been a
- 27:37Speaker 6: no show here.
- 27:38Speaker 7: It has been stunning.
- 27:39Speaker 13: So this is the frustration of being a sports fan,
- 27:41Speaker 13: because you know, you and I cover it so abtably.
- 27:44Speaker 6: You think, after decades of this we'd figure it out.
- 27:46Speaker 13: And I said to you, Joannix Center, privative favorite French
- 27:49Speaker 13: Open and the stiff loses today. And I said to you,
- 27:51Speaker 13: when it came to the hockey, the Avalanche were going
- 27:53Speaker 13: to rule the Golden Knights. They were the best team
- 27:55Speaker 13: in hockey all season long. And if you said to me,
- 27:58Speaker 13: one team's gonnaweep, like yeah, color Instead Game one, the
- 28:01Speaker 13: whole Russ versus rest Okay, Vegas was sharp, Colorado was rusty.
- 28:04Speaker 6: It happens.
- 28:05Speaker 13: Game two, you losing, Can I have my attention? Game three,
- 28:08Speaker 13: Colorado was a three nothing and they gagged. They copped
- 28:11Speaker 13: it up a three nothing lead, they lose five to three,
- 28:14Speaker 13: and then Game four was a feed of company. See, okay, Well,
- 28:16Speaker 13: maybe this bizarro rule will continue, Maybe Montreal Carolina, Montreal
- 28:20Speaker 13: can sweep, but no, Carolina has been absolutely stuffocating the
- 28:24Speaker 13: shot disparities at least two to one, if three to one,
- 28:27Speaker 13: and the Bell Center, there's no better place to watch
- 28:29Speaker 13: a hockey game. And by the way, for all the
- 28:31Speaker 13: media covering the Cup finals too, this could have been
- 28:33Speaker 13: an all time night life Stanley Cup Final Montreal Vegas. Wow,
- 28:37Speaker 13: there will be a lot of bags under the eyes
- 28:39Speaker 13: of every single media member form in Vegas. Bottle service
- 28:43Speaker 13: four a m ooh la la at the Canadian Ballet
- 28:46Speaker 13: in Montreal.
- 28:46Speaker 3: I mean it would have been if you.
- 28:47Speaker 13: Were a media member like this is this is the
- 28:49Speaker 13: golden tickettre Vegas.
- 28:51Speaker 7: Give me this every year.
- 28:53Speaker 13: This is single handy making up for you know, Florida
- 28:55Speaker 13: Edmonton in the flights going from north of Alberta.
- 28:58Speaker 7: All the way to South Florida. But Montreal has gagged.
- 29:01Speaker 13: It's been an awful performance by them, the fact they
- 29:03Speaker 13: lost both their games at home. You're right, no show.
- 29:06Speaker 13: I wish I knew a little more French. But whatever
- 29:07Speaker 13: you say, no show. It's been awful for them and
- 29:10Speaker 13: they'll probably gonna lose this series in five. Yeah, brutal
- 29:13Speaker 13: Carolina Vegas Stanley Cup Final. I'm not sure that what's
- 29:16Speaker 13: the appetite of the casual sports fan.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and poor Sean McDonough would be stuck in Raleigh.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Go ahead, Taylor, I.
- 29:21Speaker 11: Mean, uh, you mentioned the shot disparity, and the Hurricanes
- 29:26Speaker 11: have outshot the Canadians by sixty four the past three games.
- 29:32Speaker 11: It's an average of twenty one point three the past
- 29:34Speaker 11: three games. I consider myself a puck casual as a
- 29:38Speaker 11: Ranger fan, I get up if the Rangers make the playoffs.
- 29:40Speaker 11: I tune in here and there the Canadians, though, it
- 29:44Speaker 11: doesn't seem like that great of a strategy to just
- 29:46Speaker 11: get peppered all game.
- 29:51Speaker 13: This is bike in the NFL, when you get like
- 29:54Speaker 13: out the time of possession is like forty four minutes
- 29:57Speaker 13: for one team and the team with sixteen minutes, and
- 29:59Speaker 13: yet the team that only had the ball for sixteen
- 30:01Speaker 13: minutes somehow only lost by field goaling. Like, oh, they're
- 30:03Speaker 13: right in it, like where they though, I'm like the
- 30:05Speaker 13: other team was pounding it. They had the rock, they
- 30:07Speaker 13: had the three hundred and seventy two rushing yards, they
- 30:10Speaker 13: had time of position forty four minutes, but they hung
- 30:11Speaker 13: in there.
- 30:12Speaker 3: That's what is like.
- 30:13Speaker 13: Watch this Montreal Kadience team, Like they they get the
- 30:16Speaker 13: puck and they try to get in the Carolina zone
- 30:17Speaker 13: and immediately give it up, like there's zero four check
- 30:20Speaker 13: and there's zero puck position that Carolina has.
- 30:22Speaker 7: The buck and they hog it. It's almost if the
- 30:24Speaker 7: ice is tilted.
- 30:24Speaker 13: Two thirds of the time Carolina has the ice and
- 30:26Speaker 13: that's where there's that shot to spread. This isn't one
- 30:28Speaker 13: of those that you go, wow, the statistics are kind
- 30:31Speaker 13: of lying. You have to watch it gain like, oh,
- 30:32Speaker 13: you could just check the boxer and go, looks that
- 30:34Speaker 13: Carolyn is dominating. That would be accurate. Freddie Anderson's shutout. Yep,
- 30:37Speaker 13: mi Chael didn't take many shots. Yep, Carolina's significantly better.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 30:41Speaker 6: This series probably done in five Yes, yes, and yes.
- 30:45Speaker 11: And in that other series that Vegas made quick work of.
- 30:48Speaker 11: Vegas was under five hundred in the regular season. They
- 30:51Speaker 11: won thirty nine games. They lost forty three, including overtime losses.
- 30:55Speaker 11: Last time a towards The last time a team finished
- 30:58Speaker 11: under five hundred and made the Stanley Cup was the
- 31:00Speaker 11: Minnesota north Stars in nineteen ninety nineteen ninety one with
- 31:04Speaker 11: special team with Dave Ganya Yes as their leading goal
- 31:08Speaker 11: scoring team. The Golden Knights are nineteen and four since
- 31:12Speaker 11: Tortorella took over. Would you consider the Vegas Golden Knights
- 31:17Speaker 11: fans the most spoiled fan base in all of sports?
- 31:19Speaker 11: Where this is their third Stanley Cup Finals appearance in
- 31:23Speaker 11: their ninth year as an organization.
- 31:26Speaker 13: Yeah, three and nine is absolutely absurd. You think about
- 31:28Speaker 13: long suffering fans. As you mentioned, you yourself are a
- 31:30Speaker 13: Rangers fan, not somebody went in ninety four, which ended
- 31:33Speaker 13: that fifty four year cuptured I say this is a
- 31:35Speaker 13: Flyers fan. Flyers have not won since nineteen seventy five.
- 31:37Speaker 13: The Vegas gold Knights show up, the city from which
- 31:39Speaker 13: I hail, Toronto has not won a Cup since nineteen
- 31:42Speaker 13: sixty seven.
- 31:43Speaker 7: And these Vegas Golden.
- 31:44Speaker 13: Knights, these posers show up with their four am bottle
- 31:46Speaker 13: service and their co little theatrics and what the hell
- 31:49Speaker 13: is a Golden Knight?
- 31:49Speaker 6: And they just draft a bunch of guys.
- 31:51Speaker 13: All will take Mark Stone, We'll get Jack Echo, well
- 31:53Speaker 13: sign Mitch Martin will fleece him from the Mayple Leafs. Huh,
- 31:55Speaker 13: three Cup finals in nine Season's pretty easy. I guess
- 31:57Speaker 13: we figured this thing out. It's unfully people, well, how
- 32:00Speaker 13: spoiled that fan base is and what a job they've
- 32:02Speaker 13: done and like stew so it comes into one word Torts.
- 32:05Speaker 13: This guy was hanging out with Steve Levy doing ESPN intermission.
- 32:08Speaker 13: All of a sudden he takes the job. No one's
- 32:10Speaker 13: expecting much. This was a desperation move. To be clear,
- 32:13Speaker 13: Bruce cast had worn out the room. He was really
- 32:16Speaker 13: tough on the guys. We'll give Towrts a shot. He
- 32:18Speaker 13: was not signed beyond this season. The contract was eight
- 32:21Speaker 13: regular season games. He's a freelancer. It's pay as you go.
- 32:24Speaker 13: He's doing what I'm doing today, like Torts, will see
- 32:26Speaker 13: how you do, maybe we'll have you back. Instead, they
- 32:28Speaker 13: go on a run.
- 32:29Speaker 6: The Stanley Cup final.
- 32:30Speaker 13: He still may not come back to season. They might
- 32:32Speaker 13: win the Cup and go you know what, I miss leaves.
- 32:34Speaker 13: I want to go back Connecticut. It's Torts and PK,
- 32:37Speaker 13: Sue Ban and Steve Levy. The big question remains not
- 32:40Speaker 13: whether or not the Vegas Golden Knights can win the
- 32:42Speaker 13: Stanley Cup.
- 32:43Speaker 3: If they win the stand.
- 32:44Speaker 6: Okay, there he is, he's back. I thought we lost him.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, if Towrts wins the Cup, he
- 32:48Speaker 1: should just go out on top. I mean, how could
- 32:50Speaker 1: you do it any better than that, right, I mean,
- 32:53Speaker 1: if you win at.
- 32:54Speaker 13: Least once, it's like any sport you have so much
- 32:56Speaker 13: credibilion towards stay in power.
- 32:58Speaker 7: So harbaught on.
- 32:58Speaker 13: Harbaugh wins one super the Ravens, and then it's a
- 33:01Speaker 13: lot of media ocrity.
- 33:01Speaker 7: Disappointed by oh SU Bowl winner. Torrella won way back
- 33:04Speaker 7: in two thousand and four.
- 33:06Speaker 13: Twenty years he's been coasting op being a Stanley Cup
- 33:08Speaker 13: champion with the old Fort Lightning.
- 33:10Speaker 7: He has crashed and burned at multiple.
- 33:12Speaker 13: Spots and cooling the flyers, and then he gets resuscitated
- 33:14Speaker 13: at ESPN.
- 33:15Speaker 7: And it isn't like talking to the media.
- 33:16Speaker 6: By the way, when he's a coach, I love that.
- 33:18Speaker 13: When the guy is a member of the media, is
- 33:20Speaker 13: tough to deal with. But then he works for the media.
- 33:22Speaker 13: It doesn't make any sense.
- 33:24Speaker 7: But there's Torts working out and apparently the guys do
- 33:26Speaker 7: love him. He motivates them.
- 33:27Speaker 13: Well, upbeat guy, So congrats with John Torrero. Certainly he's
- 33:30Speaker 13: done a great job with his BACAN Golden Nights team.
- 33:32Speaker 13: But yes, and answered to question Taylor a very spoiled
- 33:35Speaker 13: fan base in Vegas and are really criminally underappreciated when
- 33:38Speaker 13: in Colorado that team should have won like this is
- 33:40Speaker 13: absolutely egg on their faces, President's Trophy winner, the best
- 33:43Speaker 13: team in hockey, and you got swept by Vegas. At
- 33:45Speaker 13: one more point, he mentioned the sub five hundred I
- 33:47Speaker 13: have often said this if I was a commissioner of sports,
- 33:50Speaker 13: any sport, if you're under five hundred.
- 33:52Speaker 7: You don't get to be in the playoffs.
- 33:54Speaker 8: I like it.
- 33:54Speaker 7: I could watch it take.
- 33:56Speaker 6: I would see the Chargers go seven to nine and
- 33:58Speaker 6: win the division. Go You don't get to play.
- 34:01Speaker 13: Average if you can't be We just played a sixteen
- 34:04Speaker 13: game regular season. If you can't be averaged, you don't
- 34:07Speaker 13: get to play in the playoffs. If you look right
- 34:08Speaker 13: now at the American League West standings, the Mariners are
- 34:11Speaker 13: in first place. The Mirrors have more losses than wins.
- 34:13Speaker 13: They have played sixty games. We're gonna play one hundred
- 34:16Speaker 13: and two more games. If you lose more games than win,
- 34:18Speaker 13: you don't get to be a part of the playoffs.
- 34:20Speaker 13: The Vegas gool of Knights were a sub five hundred
- 34:22Speaker 13: team for much of this postseason.
- 34:23Speaker 6: And then you get hot for two weeks and you
- 34:25Speaker 6: win the Stanley Cup.
- 34:26Speaker 7: Ridiculous.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Especially when a team who's thirty games above five hundred
- 34:29Speaker 1: doesn't get into the postseason because we have to put
- 34:31Speaker 1: that team in.
- 34:33Speaker 6: Who's below five hundred. I mean, it's insanity.
- 34:37Speaker 3: It's such a great take by you.
- 34:38Speaker 7: It is such a good take.
- 34:40Speaker 1: But if you're the Vegas Knights, and yes they are
- 34:43Speaker 1: a spoiled fan base, there's no question about it.
- 34:45Speaker 3: They've had it good.
- 34:47Speaker 1: And by the way, if you're looking for where hockey
- 34:49Speaker 1: is thriving, it's thriving in states they don't have a
- 34:51Speaker 1: state tax.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Okay, I mean, it just is very.
- 34:56Speaker 7: Simple to figure out.
- 34:57Speaker 13: I went supecifically, why is it that all the best
- 34:59Speaker 13: players are going to like, you know, Florida, Dallas and Vegas.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, I think I figured it out.
- 35:04Speaker 6: I think they make multi millions and they want.
- 35:07Speaker 7: To save every freaking penny.
- 35:09Speaker 6: So guess what. They're not going to play in Canada,
- 35:11Speaker 6: They're not going to play in New York State.
- 35:13Speaker 13: They're not going to play in those place where they
- 35:14Speaker 13: get tax and where the fans really care. I can
- 35:16Speaker 13: just go hang on Vegas. It's one hundred and twenty degrees,
- 35:19Speaker 13: bikini clad ladies. I'll go to you know, make millions
- 35:22Speaker 13: of those day tax who's saying no to this?
- 35:24Speaker 1: Yes, we'll get to think about a Thursday in just
- 35:26Speaker 1: a second. Here adding in is nude to the game.
- 35:28Speaker 1: We'll explain it to him in just a second. But
- 35:30Speaker 1: since we're on hockey, here your thoughts on one of
- 35:32Speaker 1: the all time greats who passed away suddenly today, Claude Lemieux.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Sorry about that.
- 35:39Speaker 6: Yeah, sixty years of age. Claudelmie was one of the
- 35:41Speaker 6: great pests.
- 35:42Speaker 13: You know, if you think about in sports, guys who
- 35:44Speaker 13: can get under your skin, maybe Draymond to think of
- 35:46Speaker 13: the NBA, like Claude demie was that guy you put
- 35:48Speaker 13: him in and he was such.
- 35:50Speaker 6: A great player at antagonizing the opposition.
- 35:52Speaker 13: Now, a good goal scorer in his own right and
- 35:54Speaker 13: certainly very talented, but I just think of the way
- 35:56Speaker 13: he was so good at getting under the skin of
- 35:58Speaker 13: other guys. A player who you would say, you know,
- 36:00Speaker 13: if he's on your team you hated if if he
- 36:02Speaker 13: was on your team, you love me. He's on the
- 36:03Speaker 13: team you hate him. And for him to ludes, I mean,
- 36:05Speaker 13: this is this is stunning to see. I mean, this
- 36:07Speaker 13: is a guy right now or focused so much on
- 36:09Speaker 13: Montreal and the games being the Stenn Cup Final. Claude
- 36:11Speaker 13: new is sixty years of age and I mean and
- 36:13Speaker 13: he won in a ton of places. He was born
- 36:15Speaker 13: in Quebec. He was selected by the Abs, but great
- 36:18Speaker 13: with the Devils. Great with the Abs, played in Phoenix, Dallas,
- 36:20Speaker 13: San Jose along with the Montreal Canadians. One of the
- 36:23Speaker 13: all time great playoff performers in the playoffs a point
- 36:27Speaker 13: sixty eight career points per game in two and thirty
- 36:29Speaker 13: four games. So this is a guy who was a
- 36:30Speaker 13: good player in the playoffs game he was awesome and
- 36:33Speaker 13: again four times Stanley Cup champion.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Just sixty years of age.
- 36:36Speaker 13: Very sad news at Claude Lemute no longer with us,
- 36:39Speaker 13: even the recap says. Was one of the NHL's most
- 36:41Speaker 13: antagonistic players, known for getting under the skin of other
- 36:45Speaker 13: team star players. His play would frequently cross the line
- 36:47Speaker 13: of legality, as Lemieux earned one thousand, seven hundred and
- 36:51Speaker 13: seventy seven pelliments in his career, as well as the
- 36:54Speaker 13: ire of opposing fans. Famously, he crossed checked Chris Draper
- 36:58Speaker 13: game six the Western Conference Finals.
- 36:59Speaker 6: He was a great villain and a heck of a player.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Very sad news clothing meal hockey player, a dan hockey player.
- 37:05Speaker 13: Yes, that's all you need to say. It's like what
- 37:08Speaker 13: someone says, it's a goal scorers goal, But what does
- 37:10Speaker 13: that mean? I'm like, it just means the guy's a
- 37:12Speaker 13: hockey player.
- 37:12Speaker 3: He knows what he's doing. He should be buried in
- 37:14Speaker 3: a penalty box. I mean he really should.
- 37:16Speaker 6: I mean, what do you think?
- 37:17Speaker 1: Huh?
- 37:18Speaker 6: Maybe a little too soon, but I mean if you
- 37:22Speaker 6: he'd be honored.
- 37:23Speaker 1: I tell you, if you told him that beforehand, he
- 37:25Speaker 1: would have been like, Yep, I'll do it, let's go.
- 37:27Speaker 3: That's me, hockey player.
- 37:28Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 37:29Speaker 13: You think of the great Gary Shanling, one of my
- 37:30Speaker 13: favorite comedians. You know how much I love the Larry
- 37:32Speaker 13: Sanders Show. He said, I want to I want to die.
- 37:35Speaker 13: I want to open casket and I want a boxing
- 37:37Speaker 13: judge to be there. I want him to start counting one, two, three,
- 37:41Speaker 13: and well he gets to ako, he's not getting up.
- 37:44Speaker 7: It's over it.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Yes, mike yea, I have to follow him every time
- 37:48Speaker 3: he does this. He shook his head too soon, Mike Yea,
- 37:50Speaker 3: too soon?
- 37:51Speaker 6: Right, too soon?
- 37:51Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 37:52Speaker 8: Yeah, I met at myself again.
- 37:53Speaker 11: It was.
- 37:55Speaker 1: It was meant to a compliment. Anyway, let's get to
- 37:58Speaker 1: think about it Thursday. I was Sam, give me the.
- 38:02Speaker 12: You know that segment talk about it Tuesday on Hawkman
- 38:05Speaker 12: Crowder in Soleiro this is like that, but bigger, bigger
- 38:10Speaker 12: and better, better, better, And forty eight hours later, this
- 38:14Speaker 12: is think about it Thursday.
- 38:18Speaker 11: So, and then I saw this question going around on
- 38:21Speaker 11: social media and I wanted to get everybody's take here.
- 38:24Speaker 1: All right, hold on, Taylor, can I explain this to Nan?
- 38:27Speaker 1: This is Taylor's quest. He is counter programming a local
- 38:30Speaker 1: show down here in Miami, the Mark Ackman Show, which
- 38:33Speaker 1: had Crowder and Solero. And I don't know why he
- 38:37Speaker 1: feels the need to counter program this program, this show,
- 38:39Speaker 1: but they do talk about it Tuesday, and Taylor came
- 38:42Speaker 1: up with a think about it Thursday.
- 38:43Speaker 3: That's how we arrived here, d Dan.
- 38:45Speaker 6: I just wanted you to know in the audience, like
- 38:47Speaker 6: the backstory, stud pick up that Thursday.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Okay, go ahead.
- 38:51Speaker 11: So and then the question this week is what are
- 38:54Speaker 11: the four major US cities in your guys mind? If
- 38:59Speaker 11: you had to pick the four major US cities, what
- 39:01Speaker 11: would you pick?
- 39:05Speaker 6: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago?
- 39:07Speaker 4: I just need a fourth the clear big three. I
- 39:09Speaker 4: think we can all agree on.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Those are the big three.
- 39:11Speaker 6: Yes, I think, yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 13: I think in terms of population, I believe Houston might
- 39:20Speaker 13: be fourth, which always surprises me a bit. Philadelphia's a city.
- 39:23Speaker 13: I loves Philly, I think is six or seven. I'll
- 39:25Speaker 13: go to New York, LA Chicago because I needed Texas.
- 39:28Speaker 3: I mean, I'll go with Dallas. I'll go Dallas.
- 39:30Speaker 1: So New York, La, Chicago, Dallas. You go in Dallas
- 39:34Speaker 1: as your fourth, all right? Yeah, tell Dallas.
- 39:37Speaker 11: So I had San Francisco in consideration, pretty good, but
- 39:40Speaker 11: I feel like California can't get two representations in this
- 39:44Speaker 11: top four.
- 39:45Speaker 6: Right, it's a big state.
- 39:46Speaker 8: I mean.
- 39:49Speaker 1: San fran is certainly in consideration. I do love San Francisco.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Dallas is in consideration that yours. Houston is certainly in consideration.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Go ahead, Mikey.
- 39:59Speaker 6: Guy FoST Independence Day, when the Aliens came down, where
- 40:02Speaker 6: did they go?
- 40:03Speaker 8: They went to d C. It's the nation's capital, that's
- 40:05Speaker 8: the port city.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Wow, the nation's capital.
- 40:08Speaker 1: You have to call it the nation's capital, right, Like
- 40:10Speaker 1: if you're broadcasting from Washington, d C. You have to
- 40:13Speaker 1: say live from the Nation's Capitol, Live from the nation's capital.
- 40:17Speaker 6: I'm telling you this was not Ai Colin Coward. This
- 40:19Speaker 6: is real Colin Coward. He went smear d C. And
- 40:22Speaker 6: I've never forgotten it.
- 40:23Speaker 13: He said Washington, d C might have the worst weather
- 40:25Speaker 13: in the country, and I said, what he goes, it's
- 40:27Speaker 13: really cold, like bidenly cold, and the summers that are awful.
- 40:30Speaker 6: He said it is incredibly humid and they have a
- 40:33Speaker 6: lot of bugs there. So Colin Coward is forever Turner's Washington.
- 40:36Speaker 13: And I've asked people from the Tim Kirschtens, you know, Maryland,
- 40:39Speaker 13: got DC. The weather is pretty bad. It's it's actually underrated.
- 40:43Speaker 13: Under appreciate how lousy the weather is.
- 40:45Speaker 8: In d C.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Yes, if you guys have time back there, can you
- 40:48Speaker 1: ask Ai Colin Coward for his four major cities in
- 40:51Speaker 1: the US.
- 40:51Speaker 3: I'm just I'd be interested.
- 40:53Speaker 4: I think he's on another show right now.
- 40:56Speaker 3: He's talking tennis. How do we out include Boston here?
- 41:01Speaker 3: I don't, I mean, what are we doing? Yeah? What
- 41:03Speaker 3: are we doing? I have New York, La, Chicago, Boston.
- 41:07Speaker 13: You know it's said Boston is a great sports city.
- 41:09Speaker 13: We all know how much they love the fans. It's
- 41:11Speaker 13: a great Beacon of learning, all the universities that are there.
- 41:14Speaker 13: In terms of history, the Revolutionary War, et cetera. I mean,
- 41:17Speaker 13: Boston's got to be in the mix for sure. My
- 41:18Speaker 13: game makes a case for DC Boston honorary fright and
- 41:21Speaker 13: vote to Philly San Franz in the mix.
- 41:23Speaker 6: Go ahead, I think, Taylor, Mike Co, Seattle, go ahead.
- 41:25Speaker 11: So I was just gonna throw out a couple other
- 41:27Speaker 11: cities just to get your guys thought. Okay, Atlanta, would
- 41:29Speaker 11: Atlanta like a word?
- 41:32Speaker 6: I'm not crazy Aboutlanta to stay over there?
- 41:34Speaker 8: Atlanta?
- 41:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, way too hot.
- 41:36Speaker 6: I don't think it's a great place.
- 41:37Speaker 8: Sorry.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Yeah, what is the criteria?
- 41:40Speaker 7: Just major city, as in just just the best city?
- 41:42Speaker 4: Just what you consider the four major cities?
- 41:44Speaker 3: Yeah, like a major rest Mount Rushmore. That's not Atlanta,
- 41:47Speaker 3: no way, okay, not at lant.
- 41:48Speaker 6: But what's it got going for?
- 41:50Speaker 3: What's the best thing about Atlanta? Nothing?
- 41:51Speaker 6: I mean Lemon pepper wings, that's it.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 41:54Speaker 13: That's way too hot, that's it. It's way too bloody
- 41:57Speaker 13: in the great and the traffic's terrible. Yeah that sucks,
- 42:01Speaker 13: so sture. We might be a little biased here. Miami
- 42:05Speaker 13: would Miami like a word? Great weather? Great beaches. Yeah,
- 42:10Speaker 13: not the great sports city.
- 42:12Speaker 7: Great Weather not a great sports city.
- 42:13Speaker 3: That's my issue with Miami.
- 42:14Speaker 8: But the weather.
- 42:15Speaker 7: Yeah, in my case, I'm not great Weather.
- 42:17Speaker 6: I mean a Hudson one hundred and ten into July
- 42:19Speaker 6: on I.
- 42:19Speaker 8: Mean six months of the year. Sure, great Weather.
- 42:22Speaker 1: I mean I'll defend I'll defend Miami by saying two
- 42:24Speaker 1: Stanley Cups and a bunch of NBA titles and the
- 42:26Speaker 1: only undefeated team in the history of the NFL, I mean,
- 42:29Speaker 1: and the greatest college football program probably in the history
- 42:32Speaker 1: of college football.
- 42:33Speaker 8: So I don't remember it being a sports question.
- 42:36Speaker 1: By the way, speaking of teams under five hundred making
- 42:38Speaker 1: the playoffs, good luck when college football trots out number
- 42:41Speaker 1: twenty two versus number three in the playoffs.
- 42:43Speaker 13: I mean, that is going to be an absolute sight
- 42:48Speaker 13: to see the most effective. To me, I gotta be
- 42:52Speaker 13: as the NBA playing I would text outam me and
- 42:55Speaker 13: my dear friend the voice of the Balls. Hey, you
- 42:56Speaker 13: guys are eight games under five hundred. What a joke
- 43:00Speaker 13: that you're gonna make the playoffs? Well, what's to play it?
- 43:01Speaker 13: It's an absolute atrocity. You should have some integrity and
- 43:05Speaker 13: just announced we're not going to be in the playoffs.
- 43:06Speaker 13: But what's not the plaffs, it's the plan. I don't
- 43:08Speaker 13: care what it's called. Whatever the second season is called.
- 43:11Speaker 13: Imaginally imagine if you recuse yourself.
- 43:13Speaker 7: You know what, Guys, we lost more than we won.
- 43:15Speaker 3: We don't deserve to be there.
- 43:16Speaker 6: I would have so much respect for that team merely
- 43:19Speaker 6: be my favorite sports.
- 43:20Speaker 7: I'd love them forever.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Has anyone congratulated Adnan that no Vek Djokovic is now
- 43:26Speaker 1: out of the French Open?
- 43:27Speaker 11: So I texted ad name and I just said, no context,
- 43:31Speaker 11: congrats buddy.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Yep.
- 43:32Speaker 4: He said, thanks man.
- 43:33Speaker 6: He nailed, Yeah, he knew yep. And he texted you
- 43:36Speaker 6: back with.
- 43:36Speaker 1: A Roger Federer outfit on he did, I'm telling you
- 43:39Speaker 1: right now the headband he does.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Hey love Federer? Mike, I I know, yeah, I know. Yeah.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Ike was talking about the worst three words in sports.
- 43:48Speaker 1: I think it's the spelling Bee. Mike was glued to
- 43:51Speaker 1: it last night and he tells me that there's a
- 43:55Speaker 1: new wrinkle that might get me into the spelling Bee.
- 43:59Speaker 3: I'm excited about this.
- 44:00Speaker 9: Well, listen, you do overtime now for you kind of
- 44:05Speaker 9: throw out how the game is actually played and you
- 44:09Speaker 9: do exciting things, right, like a shootout in hockey or
- 44:12Speaker 9: or in soccer. You don't play the actual obviously, unless
- 44:16Speaker 9: it's the playoffs. So what they did here is two
- 44:22Speaker 9: young men tied and two contestants tied, and normally they
- 44:26Speaker 9: go to a spell off, right, each spell a word.
- 44:29Speaker 9: You take your time, you go through the origin. You
- 44:32Speaker 9: know how all these kids think.
- 44:35Speaker 7: The word out?
- 44:35Speaker 8: Can I hear it?
- 44:37Speaker 3: Please? Right? All this?
- 44:38Speaker 9: Yeah, that's all changed. Now it's speed spelling. Wow, I
- 44:44Speaker 9: kid you not, it's speed spelling. And the young man
- 44:48Speaker 9: who won spelled thirty two words correctly in ninety second.
- 44:54Speaker 9: What the contestant who lost spelled twenty five words correct
- 45:00Speaker 9: in ninety seconds? So yes, and and the spelling Bee
- 45:05Speaker 9: traditionalist hate this. They're like, we want to you know,
- 45:09Speaker 9: where you break down the word and the whole deal.
- 45:12Speaker 9: But this is obviously the first time of it, so
- 45:15Speaker 9: you wonder if it will stick. But it seemed more entertaining.
- 45:19Speaker 3: It has to stick.
- 45:20Speaker 6: In fact, Yes, I want the entire spelling b to
- 45:22Speaker 6: be like that speed rounds.
- 45:23Speaker 10: Yes, I'm not sure I could recite the alphabet in
- 45:28Speaker 10: ninety I mean it's crazy, Well, thirty two words.
- 45:31Speaker 9: It's crazy what these kids do to go in these
- 45:34Speaker 9: spelling bees. It's it's unbelievable, almost unhealthy.
- 45:38Speaker 3: So essentially this is their overtime.
- 45:40Speaker 1: This is how they've decided at the spelling Bee, they're
- 45:43Speaker 1: going to break a tie.
- 45:45Speaker 9: Yes, speed spelling, speed spelling. Who'd have thought. I mean,
- 45:51Speaker 9: if you were ever to figure out a way to
- 45:53Speaker 9: break a tie, who would say speed spelling?
- 45:56Speaker 8: Right?
- 45:57Speaker 1: But I think the spelling Bee now has the best
- 45:59Speaker 1: overtime in sport. I mean, if spelling bee is indeed
- 46:01Speaker 1: a sport, I'm not certain it is. But that's a
- 46:04Speaker 1: great way to do over. That's a great way to
- 46:06Speaker 1: settle it, you know.
- 46:07Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Yes, yeah, yes, it was something. Yeah.
- 46:10Speaker 6: Mina hosted that last night.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Did you do it? I didn't watch it. Did you
- 46:13Speaker 3: do a good job? I'm sure she did.
- 46:15Speaker 7: I didn't I quite honestly, I didn't watch it either.
- 46:18Speaker 6: Just bought the speed round.
- 46:19Speaker 3: I just saw it. I just saw the highlights of it.
- 46:22Speaker 9: But I'm very happy for me and I mean Celebrity Jeopardy,
- 46:25Speaker 9: Celebrity Jeopardy champion hosting the uh, the spelling Bee.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I mean, she's got it going on, right, Wait, someone
- 46:31Speaker 1: actually cuts up highlights from that thing.

- 46:34Speaker 9: Basically it's winning words. And now, since it's the first
- 46:38Speaker 9: time you did a highlight of.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Speed spelling, mikey A, howd you feel about tennis on
- 46:43Speaker 1: the radio? I was thinking about that during Ike's update.
- 46:46Speaker 1: We all had the same look on our faces. I
- 46:48Speaker 1: don't know if you did right.
- 46:50Speaker 8: I noticed.
- 46:50Speaker 6: That's why you're here because I follow your face.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Stop thinking about it.
- 46:55Speaker 8: I wonder what it's Eddie returns it?
- 46:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it turns it returns it.
- 46:58Speaker 8: It doesn't return it.
- 46:59Speaker 9: You wouldn't even get that because you would take the
- 47:02Speaker 9: TV feed, right, You wouldn't have a radio broadcast and
- 47:05Speaker 9: the TV feed they're quiet through a lot of the point.
- 47:09Speaker 7: All you hear is the ball being hit, So that's
- 47:11Speaker 7: what you'd hear on the radio.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Yes, listen, I was saying, if you have that sound,
- 47:17Speaker 1: the highlight that I just used during the update, I
- 47:20Speaker 1: want to hear it again to hear if it's as
- 47:22Speaker 1: bad as I thought it was when I originally heard.
- 47:26Speaker 1: All right, so let's seem draw fun.
- 47:29Speaker 5: Secker has put out the twenty four time Grand Slam champions.
- 47:33Speaker 4: What time he puts his hand to his head he
- 47:36Speaker 4: cannot believe it, but he should.
- 47:38Speaker 12: Believe it because he's been absolutely phenomenal.
- 47:42Speaker 3: All right, that part's fine, just the beginning part. That's
- 47:44Speaker 3: what I want to hear.

- 48:19Speaker 1: is saying, and he's perhaps he is the greatest tennis
- 48:21Speaker 1: player of all time. Despite what ad Nan says, that
- 48:24Speaker 1: was a real opportunity because Alcarez is out sinner. He
- 48:27Speaker 1: lost yesterday. Djokovic has said on record, I can't beat
- 48:31Speaker 1: either of those two anymore. And he had a clear
- 48:33Speaker 1: path to win a French Open here and he loses today.
- 48:36Speaker 9: That's crazy he did, and we know his the clock
- 48:40Speaker 9: is ticking on his career now a Wimbledon again. Alcarez
- 48:44Speaker 9: won't be at Wimbledon, so he'll just have to deal
- 48:47Speaker 9: with Sinner and maybe Sinner gets upset again, who knows,
- 48:51Speaker 9: So he may have another chance there because of the
- 48:53Speaker 9: two guys.
- 48:54Speaker 7: That he can't beat, one will not be there.
