- 0:00Speaker 1: Tony Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet. Accidents, they don't
- 0:02Speaker 1: wait for good timing. One bad moment, a wreck, a fall,
- 0:05Speaker 1: a doctor who wasn't paying attention, and suddenly you're fighting
- 0:08Speaker 1: an insurance company that does this every single day. And
- 0:10Speaker 1: that's why Clay started Clay Travis Law. He's a Vanderbilt
- 0:13Speaker 1: Law grad, and he built a firm focused on the details.
- 0:15Speaker 1: People deserve someone that's willing to pay full attention and
- 0:19Speaker 1: ask the hard questions and push back when things don't
- 0:21Speaker 1: add up. You are backed by experienced trial attorneys who
- 0:24Speaker 1: bring the fight to corporations and insurers. Clay Travis Law,
- 0:27Speaker 1: based in Nashville and trusted across the country.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Car and truck wrecks, rideshare accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability,
- 0:33Speaker 2: product liability. If you were wrong, they want to hear
- 0:36Speaker 2: about it. Here's what they promise.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Honesty.
- 0:38Speaker 2: They don't sugarcoat your case. You'll hear what it's actually worth,
- 0:41Speaker 2: not what you want to hear. Case evaluation is free.
- 0:44Speaker 2: No charge, no pressure, no hassle. Just tell them your story.

- 0:52Speaker 2: No case is too big or too small.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Conrad Thompson will join us coming up in a matter
- 0:57Speaker 1: of about 15 minutes or so. He's auctioning off a
- 1:00Speaker 1: cool item. He's got multiple.
- 1:03Speaker 2: He's got Hulk Hogan's boots also that they're auctioning off
- 1:07Speaker 2: for over $ 1. 2 million, I think, from some WrestleMania. Hudson,
- 1:13Speaker 2: this is right up your alley with your knowledge.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Of that business.
- 1:17Speaker 2: And Conrad Thompson is one of the top guys in
- 1:20Speaker 2: terms of knowledge of that business.
- 1:22Speaker 1: So I can't wait to talk to him. Before that, though,
- 1:24Speaker 1: it's time for one big thing on every NFL game
- 1:27Speaker 1: for Week 7. Chad, the buys this week, Buffalo, Jacksonville,
- 1:32Speaker 1: the Chargers, and the Commanders. Entering Week 7, NFL favorites
- 1:37Speaker 1: are 57-35-1 straight up. 57-35-1. 61% with home favorites at 33-21-1. So, again,
- 1:38Speaker 1: just straight up, 57-35-1. Vegas is telling you they know.
- 1:52Speaker 1: But the favorites have covered the spread just 43% of
- 1:56Speaker 1: the time through six weeks. It's back at it tonight,
- 2:00Speaker 1: Thursday night football. Patriots and Bears, both teams 4-2. Mike
- 2:04Speaker 1: Vrabel's Patriots, they travel to Soldier Field. Short week, they
- 2:07Speaker 1: beat the Jets 26-19. Now they square off against Ben
- 2:10Speaker 1: Johnson and the Bears, who enter off of a road
- 2:13Speaker 1: win in Atlanta. Caleb Williams and Drake May, they're in
- 2:17Speaker 1: this primetime matchup here. And Chicago leans on the NFL's
- 2:21Speaker 1: number one rushing attack and Dennis Allen's number eight run defense.
- 2:26Speaker 1: So New England, what happens here? Because can they run
- 2:29Speaker 1: the football? Their interior offensive line is really banged up, Chad.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Up to three backups will start up front for Mike
- 2:36Speaker 1: Brable's team. Bears are favored by two and a half
- 2:38Speaker 1: at hard rock bet. And they lean on that rushing offense. Again,
- 2:42Speaker 1: two and a half. I tend to lean home team
- 2:45Speaker 1: tonight based on the injuries up front for New England.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Hutton, it feels like everything was negative for the Patriots
- 2:51Speaker 2: and Mike Vrabel, going back to Diana Rossini. All offseason,
- 2:55Speaker 2: Drake May looks bad to start the season. Oh, boy,
- 2:57Speaker 2: maybe we got ahead of our skis with him. He
- 2:59Speaker 2: doesn't look very good. Didn't they go to Buffalo and
- 3:03Speaker 2: give the Bills their first loss in that new stadium?
- 3:05Speaker 2: And that feels like a turning point for this Patriots
- 3:08Speaker 2: team from that point on. Now they're 4-2 on the season,
- 3:11Speaker 2: a big road opportunity. The Bears a slight favorite. But
- 3:15Speaker 2: I like what this Patriots team has done ever since
- 3:18Speaker 2: that win that I just mentioned in Buffalo.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Hey, you know what? Mike Vrabel can coach. That's why.
- 3:24Speaker 1: He's really good in certain moments. Football guy. He's a
- 3:26Speaker 1: football guy. Sunday night football. Chiefs and Seahawks. Running back
- 3:32Speaker 1: Kenneth Walker III. He's returning to Seattle. And he's taking
- 3:35Speaker 1: on Mike McDonald's Seahawks. They've dropped two straight nail biters.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Sam Darnold, he wants to. get targets to Jackson Smith
- 3:42Speaker 1: and Jigba even more. And Smith and Jigba is the
- 3:44Speaker 1: NFL's most productive receiver through six weeks. They also want
- 3:48Speaker 1: to get Cooper Cupp more involved. Seattle, two and a
- 3:50Speaker 1: half point favorite at home despite two straight losses. That
- 3:53Speaker 1: puts Kansas City in this rare plus money underdog spot.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Plus 120. It is hard for me not to take
- 4:00Speaker 1: the unbeaten Chiefs with plus money, Chad, on the road.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Tough to not bet Chiefs money line or 49ers money
- 4:07Speaker 2: line right now.
- 4:08Speaker 1: No doubt. Those undefeated teams. I'm with you. I like
- 4:12Speaker 1: the Chiefs.
- 4:12Speaker 2: If I'm going something on this game with Hard Rock Bet,
- 4:15Speaker 2: I'm taking Chiefs Moneyline.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Cowboys and Eagles, two and four teams. It is NFC
- 4:20Speaker 1: East survival mode on Monday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Sirianna's Eagles, they've lost four consecutive games for the first
- 4:27Speaker 1: time since 2020. They've also lost Jalen Hurts for the
- 4:30Speaker 1: remainder of the season. Brian Schottenheimer's Cowboys, also at two
- 4:34Speaker 1: and four. But the Cowboys are laying four and a
- 4:36Speaker 1: half points on the road in Philadelphia. which is telling
- 4:40Speaker 1: you about this massive downgrade to the Eagles' offense without Hurts.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It's hard for me to ignore that. I'm taking Dallas
- 4:46Speaker 1: on the road Monday night, despite what we've seen from
- 4:50Speaker 1: the Cowboys at the 2-4 record. Sunday morning, Steelers and
- 4:54Speaker 1: Saints in Paris. Both teams coming off week six wins.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Both teams hit the over four out of the six
- 5:02Speaker 1: weeks this season. The over-under of this game is 44.5
- 5:05Speaker 1: at Hard Rock Bet. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, He gets
- 5:09Speaker 1: the ball to DK Metcalf and running back Jalen Warren
- 5:13Speaker 1: against a Saints defense whose games have averaged 55 total
- 5:18Speaker 1: points combined. They're always high scoring. And again, the over-under
- 5:22Speaker 1: in this game, 44.5. Steelers, they're minus 2.5 to 3.5
- 5:25Speaker 1: depending on where you were in the week when you
- 5:28Speaker 1: took this game. Right now it's 3.5 at Hard Rock Bet.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Neutral site. their favorites, the Steelers, in France.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Hutton, nothing says smash-mouth, hard-nosed Steelers football like gay Paris
- 5:41Speaker 2: and playing a game in the morning backstage sides in Paris.
- 5:45Speaker 2: What an absolute joke.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 5:47Speaker 2: These games, they have left everything that's reasonable about the sport.
- 5:53Speaker 1: It's crazy. Put a team in Europe already.
- 5:56Speaker 2: If you're going to do this, give Europe a team
- 5:59Speaker 2: and then let teams go play the actual team that's
- 6:01Speaker 2: in Paris or London.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Fair enough.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Or wherever they place that team, because this is getting absurd.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I care less and less about these damn international games.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Every single week they happen, because they happen every single week.
- 6:13Speaker 1: They're going to go up to 10 games next year,
- 6:16Speaker 1: it sounds like, international. And by the way, this is
- 6:18Speaker 1: literally Project Runway out in Paris.
- 6:21Speaker 2: The college football playoff committee and the college football gets
- 6:23Speaker 2: all the grief about being money-driven and greedy and 2014
- 6:27Speaker 2: playoff all about the money. I hate to break it
- 6:29Speaker 2: to you, 2014 playoff, they're making no more money. Based
- 6:32Speaker 2: on all the numbers, eliminating those conference championship games, they
- 6:35Speaker 2: break even on it. It truly is about access to
- 6:38Speaker 2: more teams getting into the 2014 playoff. If you want
- 6:41Speaker 2: to get on to somebody about being greedy and money hungry,
- 6:43Speaker 2: look no further than Steelers Saints and Gay Paris at St.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Denis Stadium in Paris, France at 8 a.m. I'm sorry,
- 6:53Speaker 2: 8.30 a.m. on a Sunday morning.
- 6:55Speaker 1: They'll make up that money with the playoff whenever they
- 6:57Speaker 1: get these games scattered across Amazon and Netflix. Late afternoon kickoffs. Sunday, 425.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Packers and Lions. Good game here.
- 7:06Speaker 3: 4-2, 3-2.
- 7:06Speaker 1: The Packers have won three straight games. They're now at 4-2.
- 7:09Speaker 1: They beat Dallas last week. Dan Campbell's Lions, they're coming
- 7:12Speaker 1: off a bye week. They return from their week six
- 7:15Speaker 1: bye with two of the best offensive weapons through the
- 7:18Speaker 1: first month and a half of the season. Jared Goff,
- 7:19Speaker 1: 12 touchdowns, no interceptions. Jameer Gibbs, nine total touchdowns of
- 7:24Speaker 1: the season. And the pass rush for the Packers. Micah Parsons,
- 7:27Speaker 1: he remains out, but he's eyeing A November return from
- 7:29Speaker 1: his torn ACL. That's just around the corner. And they're
- 7:33Speaker 1: right now at 4-2. This is the highest total of
- 7:35Speaker 1: the week, Chad. 52, now up to 53.5. With Detroit,
- 7:39Speaker 1: they're laying 3.5 off the bye. I tend to go
- 7:42Speaker 1: lines here at home. I tend to go lines. I
- 7:46Speaker 1: tend to go over. Let's get a shootout.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Let's get a good old-fashioned shootout where defenses normally win now.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Let's get a shootout in this game. I can't wait.
- 7:53Speaker 1: What to expect with the Rams on the road in Vegas.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It's 3-3 Raiders. Two and four Rams. You've got Kirk Cousins.
- 8:00Speaker 1: He's tied for the NFL lead with 14 touchdown passes.
- 8:04Speaker 1: He's facing a Rams secondary, though, that ranks second in
- 8:07Speaker 1: the NFL in pass defense. So the Rams, they have
- 8:09Speaker 1: the same ranking on pass defense as they do with
- 8:12Speaker 1: their passing offense. They're also second in the NFL. And
- 8:15Speaker 1: despite that record, the Rams are road favorites. Right now
- 8:19Speaker 1: it's at minus four at hard rock bet. And this
- 8:22Speaker 1: is a mismatch in total defense. But I mean, the
- 8:26Speaker 1: defensive front for the Raiders is pretty good. And we'll
- 8:30Speaker 1: see if Vegas can stick with the upset challenge. But
- 8:33Speaker 1: I tend to think, Chad, that the Vegas Raiders are
- 8:36Speaker 1: going to slowly turn back towards the mean. And I
- 8:40Speaker 1: think the Rams turn it on. There's only a matter
- 8:42Speaker 1: of time before they start to click.
- 8:45Speaker 2: To quote Matt Foley, and use my fake glasses, is
- 8:49Speaker 2: that Tom Brady over there?
- 8:50Speaker 1: I can't see.
- 8:50Speaker 2: My eyesight's not very good. Tom Brady is in the
- 8:53Speaker 2: front office of this team. He's not playing quarterback. And
- 8:56Speaker 2: while I love Kirk Cousins and what he's done so far,
- 8:59Speaker 2: the inevitable is going to happen to the Raiders.
- 9:01Speaker 1: It's got to start now. And it's got to start
- 9:03Speaker 1: now for the Rams, too.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I love Rams' money line in this game to go
- 9:08Speaker 2: on the road and win because two things are bound
- 9:11Speaker 2: to happen. The Raiders are going to take a fall
- 9:14Speaker 2: and plummet, and the Rams are going to take a
- 9:16Speaker 2: step up at some point.
- 9:17Speaker 1: It's got to start this weekend. Broncos, they went last week.
- 9:21Speaker 1: They're at 4-2. They hit the road to take on
- 9:24Speaker 1: the Arizona Cardinals at 2-4. So the Broncos had 10
- 9:27Speaker 1: days between games. Both teams coming off of wins, though.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The Cardinals, they've allowed 178 points through six weeks. A
- 9:37Speaker 1: low-scoring game, though the score should be lopsided due to
- 9:40Speaker 1: Denver's defense. And I say low-scoring. Denver's defense has this
- 9:43Speaker 1: over-under at 43.5. Broncos, right now, minus 4 on the road.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Taking on Arizona. Early afternoon kickoffs. Bengals and Ravens. Solid
- 9:53Speaker 1: matchup here. Ravens looking to return home and get back
- 9:56Speaker 1: on track after last week's loss. The Bengals, they had
- 9:59Speaker 1: last week off. Lamar Jackson he was not seen at
- 10:02Speaker 1: the start of practice yesterday he's missed the last two
- 10:05Speaker 1: games due to his ankle injury so Tyler Huntley would
- 10:07Speaker 1: be starting in his place and the line on this
- 10:09Speaker 1: game you see the Bengals are favored at minus one
- 10:13Speaker 1: the Ravens opened this week at Hard Rock Bend at
- 10:15Speaker 1: minus three and a half And then the news came
- 10:18Speaker 1: out about Lamar Jackson, and everything has turned back towards
- 10:20Speaker 1: the Bengals due to that injury. Derrick Henry, though, seven
- 10:23Speaker 1: touchdowns in six games. Zay Flowers with nearly 500 yards receiving.
- 10:27Speaker 1: They're carrying this Baltimore offense. But here's Joe Burrow. He's
- 10:30Speaker 1: thrown for 11 touchdowns, three interceptions in five games, and
- 10:33Speaker 1: four of those have been to Jamar Chase. They're going
- 10:35Speaker 1: to get theirs. Can the Ravens withstand another game? They've
- 10:40Speaker 1: split games, one and one, without Lamar Jackson. When they
- 10:43Speaker 1: get him back, Can they still withhold a winning record?
- 10:47Speaker 1: They were able to maintain that a bit last year.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Can they do it again? This is a good Cincinnati team,
- 10:52Speaker 1: a big spot for the Bengals on the road.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a big spot for Joe Burrow, not just
- 10:57Speaker 2: this game but this season. This is a real opportunity
- 11:01Speaker 2: with no Lamar Jackson, with the Ravens for multiple weeks now.
- 11:05Speaker 2: The Browns are the story of that division. You've got
- 11:07Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers in his retirement tour with the Steelers. I
- 11:11Speaker 2: think a great opportunity for Cincinnati this year. to get
- 11:14Speaker 2: something done. And Joe Burrow, to stay healthy and prove
- 11:17Speaker 2: that he's the Joe Burrow that we saw lead that
- 11:19Speaker 2: team to the Super Bowl not so long ago. So
- 11:23Speaker 2: I think a big spot here for Cincinnati to go
- 11:26Speaker 2: on the road and win.
- 11:27Speaker 1: A tough game for Cincinnati. You're right. And then you've
- 11:29Speaker 1: got the other opponents in the division. The Steelers have
- 11:33Speaker 1: the Saints, and the Browns get the Titans. So you
- 11:36Speaker 1: want to stay within that 4-2, 5-2 record, so to speak.
- 11:38Speaker 1: 1 o'clock Eastern. the 49ers at 6-0 against the Falcons,
- 11:45Speaker 1: who are 2-4. The 49ers, they're flying east on short
- 11:48Speaker 1: rest after, what is it, Sunday night or Monday night
- 11:51Speaker 1: football they play, Chad? They played on Monday night. Okay,
- 11:54Speaker 1: so they're playing Monday night. Now they're flying east, and
- 11:56Speaker 1: they play early for them, early kickoff for them in Atlanta.
- 12:00Speaker 1: They're without Nick Bosa. They're without Debo Samuel. They're likely
- 12:03Speaker 1: without Mike Evans. Niners are favored by three, but Chad,
- 12:06Speaker 1: your guy, Michael Pinnix with an X, coming off of
- 12:09Speaker 1: a solid start. Point total at 50.5. I took the
- 12:13Speaker 1: over already at Hard Rock Bet. I like it.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you on that one.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I'm going over also with you. All right. Colts and Vikings.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Minnesota returns from their bye week. Indianapolis arrives in just disarray.
- 12:25Speaker 1: They fired their 10-year general manager, Chris Ballard, and they
- 12:28Speaker 1: have a head coach who knows he's not going to
- 12:30Speaker 1: be the head coach next season. They're taking on Brian Flores' defense.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Vikings open at 5.5. It's up to 6 right now
- 12:37Speaker 1: at Hard Rock Bet. It wasn't up to 6.5. It's
- 12:39Speaker 1: gone back to 6. take the Vikings and feel confident
- 12:41Speaker 1: in that. Buccaneers and Panthers. By the way, Vikings undefeated.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Just still adjusting to that when I see their record.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Just want to throw that out there.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Just that's still an adjustment for me and probably everyone
- 12:53Speaker 2: that the Minnesota Vikings are still undefeated at this point.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Bryce Young for the Panthers. He's been one of the
- 12:59Speaker 1: most productive quarterbacks this season. Baker Mayfield, though, he's battling
- 13:02Speaker 1: a throwing hand thumb injury that prevented him from even
- 13:05Speaker 1: gripping the football last week. Emeka Ibuka missed Wednesday's practice
- 13:08Speaker 1: with a postgame concussion. He's got a foot injury as well.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Bucky Irving has an illness. Panthers favored by three at
- 13:16Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bet at home. I tend to like Carolina.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I'm contemplating that right now. Giants and Texans. D'Amico Ryans
- 13:23Speaker 1: brings the 2-4 Texans back from London without a bye.
- 13:26Speaker 1: The G-Men, they turned the offense over to J.J. McCarthy,
- 13:30Speaker 1: who played the second half against the Saints last week.
- 13:33Speaker 1: His passing game coordinator is Brian Callahan. That's why I'm
- 13:36Speaker 1: taking the Houston Texans back. Minus 10.5 in this game
- 13:40Speaker 1: at home. Dolphins and Jets. I love your logic.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I'm following your logic there, Hutton, and I approve of
- 13:46Speaker 2: everything that you just said.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Dolphins and Jets. You've got the 0-5 Dolphins. The Jets
- 13:53Speaker 1: are 2-4. This is the AFC East-Celler matchup. Jets averaged
- 13:57Speaker 1: just 18 points per game, though Brees Hall could return
- 14:00Speaker 1: from his injury that kept him sidelined. Jets, minus 4.5
- 14:04Speaker 1: at home. Their home favorites here are low total, 39.5.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Weather's going to be perfect, though, in East Rutherford. Can
- 14:11Speaker 1: the Dolphins get their first win of the season? I
- 14:13Speaker 1: think this is an upset pick with Miami on the
- 14:16Speaker 1: road on Sunday. And finally, Browns and Titans. Titans can
- 14:20Speaker 1: win back-to-back games for the first time in nearly three years,
- 14:24Speaker 1: November of 2023. The Browns also coming off of a
- 14:27Speaker 1: victory last Sunday, and they boast one of the top
- 14:30Speaker 1: defenses against the run. The Titans released Jordan Elliott. They
- 14:33Speaker 1: benched Alante Taylor. Lowest total on the Week 7 board, 36,
- 14:38Speaker 1: now up to 37 right now at Hard Rock Bet.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Up to 37. Way to go, boys. Up to 37.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Got some good practice reports in. Cleveland laying the 1.5
- 14:47Speaker 1: on the road. That's because the Titans averaged an NFL
- 14:50Speaker 1: low 14 points per game, and they have cashed the
- 14:53Speaker 1: under in four of their six games. Solid.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Solid work by that Titans offense. I think they got
- 14:59Speaker 2: word that Gunnar Helm scored a touchdown. in practice one
- 15:02Speaker 2: day this week and said, you know what?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Let's go one half more point to get that thing
- 15:07Speaker 2: up to a little bit higher. I have zero interest
- 15:11Speaker 2: in watching this football game. I have zero interest in
- 15:13Speaker 2: watching this football game on Sunday. I will watch it.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Maybe even at some point, we'll bring you a quick
- 15:18Speaker 2: Titans post-game instant reaction to one of these games here
- 15:22Speaker 2: on the YouTube channel. We need to do that very soon.
- 15:25Speaker 2: But maybe this week will spark some of that. To
- 15:29Speaker 2: be honest, though, I watch these games and I think–
- 15:32Speaker 2: There's nothing to react to most of the time. I'm
- 15:34Speaker 2: watching the first half of Titans-Colts, and I'm thinking, what
- 15:37Speaker 2: do you even say about what we're witnessing right now?
- 15:40Speaker 1: It's a repeat.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Let's hope that this team and the combination of Deshaun Watson,
- 15:46Speaker 2: Cam Ward, Browns, Titans, on the same NFL football field
- 15:50Speaker 2: together at once, maybe will give us something to react
- 15:54Speaker 2: to where we can have.
- 15:55Speaker 1: A live reaction. It's a Browns takeover, too. You know that. Oh,
- 15:59Speaker 1: for sure.
- 15:59Speaker 2: You know why? Because they have actual football fans with
- 16:03Speaker 2: the Browns. And the Titans have run all their actual
- 16:05Speaker 2: football fans off, except for save a few, 3,000, 4,000
- 16:08Speaker 2: that show up every week.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Come one, come all, Cleveland Browns fans to cheer on
- 16:12Speaker 1: Deshaun Watson as he takes on the Tennessee Titans in
- 16:15Speaker 1: the final season at Nissan Stadium.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Dare the Browns fans drain Broadway like the Chicago Bears
- 16:21Speaker 2: fans did one year, like Kentucky Wildcat basketball fans do
- 16:25Speaker 2: every March.
- 16:26Speaker 1: LSU.

- 16:53Speaker 2: you have not accomplished your goal this weekend. It's not
- 16:56Speaker 2: just to win a football game. It is to drain Broadway.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Hashtag drain Broadway. Come one, come all, Browns fans. No
- 17:04Speaker 2: tickets are being sold locally. Buy all of them up.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Let's sell that stadium out. Let's sell Nissan Stadium out

- 17:13Speaker 1: Hey, Conrad Thompson's going to bring it. And you can bring...

- 18:46Speaker 1: If you love pro wrestling from any era, you know
- 18:48Speaker 1: Conrad Thompson, the co-host alongside Bruce Prichard, JBL, Jim Ross, Bischoff,
- 18:53Speaker 1: and others, including our friend Jeff Jarrett. He's one of
- 18:56Speaker 1: the top historians of pro wrestling. He has the memorabilia
- 18:59Speaker 1: collection to back it up, and he's auctioning off one
- 19:01Speaker 1: of those items among the famous artifacts in professional wrestling history,
- 19:06Speaker 1: the Intercontinental Championship belt from the Golden Era. Famous lineage,
- 19:10Speaker 1: including the Ricky Steamboat versus Macho Man Randy Savage match
- 19:14Speaker 1: at WrestleMania III. Conrad, thank you for the time, man.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Hope things are well.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Hey, man. Thanks for having me on. I appreciate the
- 19:21Speaker 3: opportunity to come on and talk a little wrestling.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yeah, man. So take us back. How did this piece
- 19:25Speaker 1: of history come into your possession? And how do you
- 19:30Speaker 1: come about these rare items from wrestling history?
- 19:34Speaker 3: Well, I started collecting belts in 2013 and I stumbled
- 19:38Speaker 3: into the big gold belt, which may actually be the
- 19:40Speaker 3: most coveted belt. And I just thought this was fun.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I want to be like the Indiana Jones treasure hunter
- 19:46Speaker 3: of these old artifacts. So I just set out to
- 19:49Speaker 3: fill up. my home bookcase i had like a uh
- 19:52Speaker 3: a home studio set up and a bunch of bookshelves
- 19:54Speaker 3: and i thought let's fill it with ring use titles
- 19:56Speaker 3: let's go on a chase it was fun so through
- 19:59Speaker 3: networking i collected uh quite a few and then in
- 20:01Speaker 3: 2018 i I had a fan in the Northeast reach
- 20:04Speaker 3: out and say, Hey, I've got a pair of Andre's
- 20:05Speaker 3: boots and the first intercontinental title. Are you interested? So
- 20:09Speaker 3: I jumped at the chance to get that fast forward
- 20:11Speaker 3: a couple of years and Pat Patterson sadly passed away.
- 20:15Speaker 3: And as the story goes, Vince wanted to do a
- 20:17Speaker 3: tribute to Pat on SmackDown that Friday, and they were
- 20:20Speaker 3: going to do something special for the intercontinental title. And
- 20:23Speaker 3: he casually mentioned, Hey, let's get Pat's belt out there
- 20:25Speaker 3: on TV so we can pay homage to the first belt.
- 20:28Speaker 3: And someone had to remind him. Sir, we don't actually
- 20:31Speaker 3: own that. And my buddy Bruce Prichard spoke up and said,
- 20:34Speaker 3: but I know who does. So Bruce gave me a
- 20:37Speaker 3: call and said, Hey, Vince wants to buy the belt.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Would you sell me the first intercontinental? And I said, Bruce,
- 20:41Speaker 3: I'm a collector. I don't want to sell. I'm not
- 20:43Speaker 3: into that, but I would do a trade. So he said, okay,
- 20:47Speaker 3: I'll take it back to him. What do you want? Well,
- 20:49Speaker 3: I want Randy Savage's WrestleMania three intercontinental. And as Bruce
- 20:53Speaker 3: tells me, he goes to Vince and says, Hey, he
- 20:56Speaker 3: won't sell it, but he'll trade it. What does he want?
- 20:58Speaker 3: Savage is intercontinental from WrestleMania three. And supposedly Vince said
- 21:02Speaker 3: something like forget Savage. Maybe he didn't say forget. Let's
- 21:07Speaker 3: get Pat's belt. So they sent me a FedEx label.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I overnighted it. The belt was on SmackDown and that
- 21:13Speaker 3: following Monday, I couldn't believe it, but I had the
- 21:16Speaker 3: intercontinental from WrestleMania three.
- 21:18Speaker 1: That's badass. That's awesome. So bidding has already climbed well
- 21:22Speaker 1: past what six figures now. How can people go about
- 21:27Speaker 1: checking this out? And from a collector's standpoint, how popular
- 21:30Speaker 1: is the high-end pro wrestling market for memorabilia compared to
- 21:34Speaker 1: other collectibles and card shows and all that? This is
- 21:37Speaker 1: going well past those numbers.
- 21:39Speaker 3: It really is, and it caught me off guard. I've
- 21:41Speaker 3: been collecting, as I said, since 2013, and I used
- 21:44Speaker 3: to buy Ric Flair robes for $ 8, 000 or $ 9, 000, but
- 21:47Speaker 3: I sold one two years ago for $ 175, 000, and that's
- 21:50Speaker 3: when I realized, okay, things are turning around. But it
- 21:53Speaker 3: was earlier this year when Hulk Hogan's boots from WrestleMania
- 21:56Speaker 3: one sold for a million dollars that I had to
- 21:58Speaker 3: set up and pay attention. I had passed on those
- 22:01Speaker 3: boots two years ago when they were offered to me
- 22:03Speaker 3: privately for 60,000. Cause I thought who's paying 60 grand
- 22:06Speaker 3: for yellow boots. No thanks. But then someone had the
- 22:09Speaker 3: genius idea to photo match those boots. And what do
- 22:11Speaker 3: you know? They photo match to WrestleMania one. Even Hogan
- 22:14Speaker 3: didn't know those were the WrestleMania one boots. And then
- 22:18Speaker 3: they followed that up with a sale of Hogan's title
- 22:20Speaker 3: from WrestleMania two. And that's kind of the forgotten WrestleMania.
- 22:23Speaker 3: It was him and King Kong Bundy in LA, but
- 22:25Speaker 3: it was that weird WrestleMania where they tried a simulcast
- 22:28Speaker 3: in three different towns on the same night. Anyway, WrestleMania
- 22:32Speaker 3: three is the most celebrated WrestleMania of all time. And
- 22:35Speaker 3: I just thought, Hey, with this auction ending the same
- 22:38Speaker 3: weekend of the 40 year anniversary of when that savage
- 22:42Speaker 3: steamboat feud started, and the WWE just started selling replicas
- 22:46Speaker 3: of this title this month, it felt like the perfect time.
- 22:49Speaker 3: We've seen the WrestleMania I collectible for a million. We've
- 22:52Speaker 3: seen the WrestleMania II collectible for $ 414, 000. So I thought,
- 22:57Speaker 3: why not try this much more famous WrestleMania and this
- 23:00Speaker 3: much more iconic belt? And we built a whole website
- 23:03Speaker 3: around it called WrestlemaniaBelt.com. We've got the entire history of
- 23:07Speaker 3: how the belt was made, all the stats, all the facts,
- 23:10Speaker 3: all the newspaper clippings. And the auction ends this Saturday.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Knock on wood, it's at 125 plus the buyer's premium.
- 23:18Speaker 3: The estimate was 300 grand, but I'm trying to set
- 23:21Speaker 3: a record. So we'll see how it goes.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Get that up. Yeah, no doubt about it.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Conrad, you've had such an interesting career. Our boss here
- 23:29Speaker 2: at Sporting State, Clay Travis, he was a lawyer, then
- 23:32Speaker 2: a writer, then a radio host, then a podcaster, and
- 23:36Speaker 2: then a mortgage company owner eventually.
- 23:38Speaker 1: And the owner of many companies, right?
- 23:40Speaker 2: You learned about the media business through your mortgage company
- 23:45Speaker 2: and advertising with the mortgage company. And then, of course,
- 23:48Speaker 2: the connection to Ric Flair and now being in the family.
- 23:53Speaker 2: What was that like? Did you feel like you were
- 23:55Speaker 2: starting with an advantage, given your knowledge of advertising in
- 23:59Speaker 2: the industry when you started this?
- 24:01Speaker 3: For sure. You know, I became an accidental podcaster. I'd
- 24:03Speaker 3: been doing live radio hits. I actually advertised on Clay's
- 24:06Speaker 3: radio show in Nashville many, many moons ago. And so
- 24:10Speaker 3: I knew the power of advertising mortgages on sports talk radio.
- 24:13Speaker 3: And so it was something I was interested in and
- 24:15Speaker 3: I had done it for a long, long time. But
- 24:17Speaker 3: when I befriended Rick around that same time, maybe a
- 24:20Speaker 3: year later, he got an offer from his agent saying, Hey,
- 24:23Speaker 3: CBS wants to give you a podcast. And so he said, Hey,
- 24:26Speaker 3: can you make any money with a podcast? How does
- 24:28Speaker 3: it work? So he actually handed me his phone and
- 24:30Speaker 3: made me show him on his phone, like where the
- 24:32Speaker 3: podcast app was and how it worked and all that.
- 24:35Speaker 3: So he signed the deal because he thought, Hey, this
- 24:37Speaker 3: is a good opportunity for me to promote my stuff
- 24:39Speaker 3: and maybe make a little money. Well, fast forward, he
- 24:41Speaker 3: called me a week out from his first episode and
- 24:44Speaker 3: he said, Hey, I'm nervous. Can you come in the
- 24:47Speaker 3: studio and just ask me fan questions? And I said,
- 24:49Speaker 3: what do you mean? You're the greatest talker of all time.
- 24:51Speaker 3: And he said, yeah, but it would just be me
- 24:53Speaker 3: in a microphone. I want to talk to someone. Could
- 24:55Speaker 3: you come in the studio and just ask me fan questions?
- 24:58Speaker 3: And I thought, sure. And I had been lucky enough
- 25:00Speaker 3: to fill in for a couple of my radio buddies.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Whenever they would have a vacation, they'd get guests hosts. Well,
- 25:05Speaker 3: they'd have me come in once every now and again.
- 25:07Speaker 3: So I was prepared and I took in like six
- 25:10Speaker 3: pages of notes. And CBS kind of looked at me like, Hey,
- 25:12Speaker 3: who the heck is this guy? But at the end
- 25:14Speaker 3: of the episode, they said, Hey, that was pretty good.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Can you come back next week? So I became an
- 25:18Speaker 3: accidental podcaster. And very quickly I realized, Hey, you know,
- 25:22Speaker 3: I've been paying six figures to advertise my mortgage company
- 25:24Speaker 3: in middle Tennessee and North Alabama, but people all over
- 25:27Speaker 3: the country can hear this and I'm not paying for it.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I should expand my licensing footprint. So now I'm licensed
- 25:33Speaker 3: in all 50 States and this became my unpaid advertising arm.
- 25:37Speaker 3: And so instead of paying to be on someone else's antenna.
- 25:40Speaker 3: I have my own now, if that makes sense.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I love it.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Because we told you one of these before you even
- 25:46Speaker 2: joined us. Do you ever get tired of hearing Ric
- 25:49Speaker 2: Flair stories when people meet you or talk to you
- 25:52Speaker 2: that they want to share their Ric Flair story with you?
- 25:56Speaker 3: Absolutely not. No, I can't get enough of it. And
- 25:58Speaker 3: every time I visit him, I leave with a new
- 26:00Speaker 3: story too. I recently learned that he is banned from
- 26:03Speaker 3: rideshare apps. I won't say which one, but there is
- 26:06Speaker 3: one that will no longer accept Richard Morgan Fleer as
- 26:10Speaker 3: a passenger, which tickled me to no end.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Incredible.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Hey, the wrestling documentary and sports documentary, I feel like
- 26:20Speaker 2: it is a business and a level of sports entertainment
- 26:23Speaker 2: that lends itself perfectly to a docu-series, whether it be
- 26:26Speaker 2: the Hulk Hogan docu-series, the Andre the Giant movie, the
- 26:31Speaker 2: one on Vince McMahon. Do you have a personal favorite?
- 26:34Speaker 2: And being on the inside of it the way you are,
- 26:37Speaker 2: Do you also find yourself watching and nitpicking a lot
- 26:40Speaker 2: of these documentaries you watch?
- 26:42Speaker 3: Oh, for sure. Yeah, there's lots of stuff that's glossed
- 26:44Speaker 3: over and I wish they could spend more time on it.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I understand the complexities of politics and business and run
- 26:52Speaker 3: times and all of that stuff. But yeah, I do
- 26:55Speaker 3: find myself being a bit of an armchair quarterback saying, oh,
- 26:57Speaker 3: I wish they would have covered more of this or
- 26:59Speaker 3: covered more of that. But I thought the one they
- 27:01Speaker 3: just recently did on Hulk Hogan this year on Netflix
- 27:03Speaker 3: was phenomenal. I thought they hit an absolute home run
- 27:06Speaker 3: with that. I do think there are some really interesting
- 27:08Speaker 3: stories that need to be told out there. Maybe chief
- 27:11Speaker 3: amongst them is, is Jeff Jarrett. I've called Jeff Jarrett,
- 27:14Speaker 3: like the Forrest Gump of wrestling. I think so many
- 27:17Speaker 3: people don't really understand the history. Like the, the iconic
- 27:21Speaker 3: video that, that shot sort of head to toe that
- 27:23Speaker 3: makes Hulk Hogan feel like Hulk Hogan, where they're saying
- 27:27Speaker 3: they call him the Hulk. You know, he stands six
- 27:30Speaker 3: foot seven. His arms are 40. You know what? Blah, blah, blah.
- 27:33Speaker 3: That was all shot in Jeff Jarrett's basement when he
- 27:36Speaker 3: was a kid. And so his stepmom is in the
- 27:39Speaker 3: corner holding up a lamp without the shade over to
- 27:41Speaker 3: the side. And like they're creating Hulk Hogan in his basement.
- 27:45Speaker 3: And oh, by the way, before Jeff's dad lived there,
- 27:48Speaker 3: like Johnny Cash lived there. Like this is like, what?
- 27:51Speaker 3: How is this real? And so many other guys, you know,
- 27:54Speaker 3: whether it's Sting or the Ultimate Warrior or the Undertaker
- 27:57Speaker 3: or Stone Cold or Mankind or The Rock, like they
- 28:01Speaker 3: all came through and were hanging out at Jeff's house
- 28:03Speaker 3: when he was a kid, like, This is a surreal
- 28:06Speaker 3: human being who's had an unbelievable story. And then you
- 28:09Speaker 3: think about the personal triumph and tragedy of his life.
- 28:12Speaker 3: I just feel like it lends itself to a multi-part series.
- 28:15Speaker 3: I don't think a movie could really do his story justice.
- 28:18Speaker 3: It would need to be like a 10-parter.
- 28:20Speaker 2: A 10-part docuseries, or he's even the type of guy
- 28:23Speaker 2: that would be great for a scripted, find somebody to
- 28:26Speaker 2: play him as an actor and turn it into a
- 28:29Speaker 2: Hollywood movie about his life. First off, Jeff, great dude.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Love chatting with him any chance I get. Hudson, we
- 28:36Speaker 2: were driving to Oxford, Mississippi for Ole Miss and LSU
- 28:39Speaker 2: and passed the Mid-South Coliseum. And it's the first time
- 28:42Speaker 2: I'd ever seen it on our drive through Memphis into Oxford.
- 28:45Speaker 2: And I immediately thought of Jeff Jarrett and the Jarrett
- 28:48Speaker 2: family and all the history in that building also. So definitely,
- 28:51Speaker 2: if you're the Indiana Jones of wrestling, Conrad, then Jeff Jarrett,
- 28:55Speaker 2: I like that description as the Forrest Gump of that industry.
- 28:59Speaker 3: There's all these crazy moments. Like, who would think even
- 29:02Speaker 3: when he starts a company and he gets a financial backer,
- 29:04Speaker 3: it winds up being HealthSouth and Richard Scruci? Like, this
- 29:08Speaker 3: stuff you just can't make up. I mean, how does
- 29:10Speaker 3: this keep happening to Jeff Jarrett? He's the most interesting
- 29:12Speaker 3: man in the history of wrestling. And what NBC tried
- 29:15Speaker 3: a few years ago with The Rock, Young Rock, hey,
- 29:17Speaker 3: we need one about Young Jeff. Let's do it.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Conrad Thompson with us. The Attitude Era, the Monday Night Wars,
- 29:24Speaker 1: the Territory Days, those are iconic. Iconic. Do you think
- 29:28Speaker 1: WWE fans will have the same interest in behind-the-scenes stories
- 29:31Speaker 1: and the love of first-hand drama 20 or 30 years
- 29:34Speaker 1: from now about this era? Will we care about reliving
- 29:37Speaker 1: stories on podcasts or as Netflix and WWE Unreal? Have
- 29:41Speaker 1: they claimed that audience?
- 29:43Speaker 3: No, I think it'll always be there. You know, we're
- 29:45Speaker 3: always going to see things through a WWE lens whenever
- 29:47Speaker 3: they produce it. We always want to know, as Jeff
- 29:50Speaker 3: would call it, the story behind the story. And I
- 29:52Speaker 3: think so much of our interest is just based on
- 29:54Speaker 3: our age. I have a theory that we all have
- 29:57Speaker 3: a 10-year window when we were at our peak for
- 30:00Speaker 3: music or sports. I can rattle off names of former
- 30:05Speaker 3: Braves or former Dallas Cowboys or the 92 Alabama championship team.
- 30:10Speaker 3: But younger fans, they would have no idea about that.
- 30:14Speaker 3: But boy, they know everybody on the 09 team or
- 30:16Speaker 3: what have you. So I think it's just sort of
- 30:18Speaker 3: relative to your childhood, whatever sort of emotional attachment you had.
- 30:22Speaker 3: So while I don't have any sort of emotional attachment
- 30:24Speaker 3: to John Cena or Roman Reigns, a lot of folks
- 30:27Speaker 3: younger than me, that's their Hulk Hogan. That's their Stone Cold.
- 30:31Speaker 3: So I think it'll exist probably just not for you
- 30:34Speaker 3: and I.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I don't know if there'll be as many iconic stories
- 30:37Speaker 1: because they're not doing anything illegal. Yeah.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Well, there's fewer towns now, you know, back in the day,
- 30:43Speaker 3: they were driving 300 miles a day, every single day
- 30:45Speaker 3: between towns. And now it's kind of once a week
- 30:47Speaker 3: and it's a TV show and, Yeah, it is better
- 30:50Speaker 3: for the guys. I don't know the stories.
- 30:53Speaker 1: So what's something, emotional attachment or whatever, that you have
- 30:57Speaker 1: currently in your collection that you will never sell?
- 30:59Speaker 3: The big gold belt. I mean, it is my... My
- 31:02Speaker 3: second most valuable collectible behind my wife. You know, they
- 31:06Speaker 3: used to call me a Ric Flair super fan because
- 31:08Speaker 3: I bought robes and belts. Well, I got the first
- 31:10Speaker 3: Ric Flair drip and now she's Mrs. Thompson. So it
- 31:12Speaker 3: worked out. But the big gold belt that they used
- 31:15Speaker 3: from 1986 to 2000, that's the holy grail of wrestling
- 31:19Speaker 3: collectibles in my opinion.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Hey, did WWE approach you about trying to purchase your
- 31:24Speaker 1: podcast network at any time?
- 31:26Speaker 3: No. Now, we did have conversations. They tried to get
- 31:29Speaker 3: me to run their podcast network, but those conversations happened
- 31:33Speaker 3: right before Vince got sent home.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:35Speaker 3: So when Vince got sent home, there was a big
- 31:37Speaker 3: pause and all that. Nick Kahn did what Nick Kahn does.
- 31:40Speaker 3: He went and negotiated a huge deal with Fanatics, and
- 31:43Speaker 3: I'm sure they're crushing it, and I'm happy for their success.
- 31:45Speaker 1: How many podcasts are you hosting right now?
- 31:47Speaker 3: Just the five, Monday through Friday.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Do you have a preparation staff? How do you keep
- 31:53Speaker 1: up with all this?
- 31:54Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely. We've got folks who help us with social media,
- 31:57Speaker 3: folks who help us with YouTube clips, folks who help
- 31:59Speaker 3: us with research. I've got a guy who helps me
- 32:02Speaker 3: produce StreamYard, and he kind of speaks Conrad is the
- 32:05Speaker 3: way I say it. We've done it so long, he
- 32:06Speaker 3: knows where I'm headed just based on the tone of
- 32:08Speaker 3: my voice because we're just in a cadence together. But
- 32:11Speaker 3: it's the same crew.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and the key would be whoever you're hosting with
- 32:14Speaker 1: on these shows. I mean, they're great on the air
- 32:16Speaker 1: with you, they have to be willing to tell all,
- 32:21Speaker 1: so to speak. Be behind the scenes and actually give details,
- 32:25Speaker 1: name some names, and be real. That's the key that
- 32:29Speaker 1: comes across with what you're doing. Otherwise, if you just said, oh,
- 32:31Speaker 1: this one guy, it wouldn't be as cool.
- 32:35Speaker 3: No, I totally agree. But I also understand it's gotten
- 32:37Speaker 3: more complicated because when I first started doing this, none
- 32:40Speaker 3: of my guys worked in wrestling. And now, knock on wood,
- 32:43Speaker 3: they're all making more money than ever and better positions
- 32:45Speaker 3: than ever. So politically, they're going to be very guarded
- 32:48Speaker 3: about Well, I can't really be critical of this or
- 32:50Speaker 3: that or whatever. So I try to avoid those topics
- 32:53Speaker 3: just so it doesn't come off as lame.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Are you a fan of the product right now?
- 32:59Speaker 3: Which product?
- 33:00Speaker 1: Of wrestling, pro wrestling.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I like AEW pay-per-views. I don't really enjoy any weekly
- 33:06Speaker 3: television show. I record them all. I watch them in
- 33:09Speaker 3: fast forward. If it's a two-hour show, I'm going to
- 33:12Speaker 3: catch it up. When there's 30 minutes left, I'm going
- 33:14Speaker 3: to fast forward the stuff I didn't like, and I'm
- 33:16Speaker 3: going to watch the stuff I am interested in. I
- 33:18Speaker 3: don't think it's as compelling week to week anymore as
- 33:21Speaker 3: maybe it once was. But I do think if you're
- 33:23Speaker 3: a wrestling fan with a limited amount of time, and
- 33:26Speaker 3: unfortunately my wife is not a wrestling fan, and I'm
- 33:30Speaker 3: working during the day, she's working during the day, so
- 33:32Speaker 3: we wind up spending a lot of our time together
- 33:34Speaker 3: navigating Netflix and these different apps, and we're going to
- 33:37Speaker 3: play with the dogs and watch TV together. She doesn't
- 33:39Speaker 3: want to watch wrestling. I get that. So I try
- 33:42Speaker 3: to watch those shows and fast forward, but the AEW pay-per-views,
- 33:45Speaker 3: those are always going to be appointment television for me.
- 33:48Speaker 3: They're four or five hours of nonstop banger matches. And
- 33:51Speaker 3: if that's what you're into, matches and maybe not so
- 33:54Speaker 3: many in-ring promos and things like that, I think that's
- 33:56Speaker 3: for you. But there's no doubt that it is a
- 34:00Speaker 3: totally different ballgame in WWE. I mean, their business is
- 34:03Speaker 3: stronger than ever from a revenue standpoint right now.
- 34:07Speaker 2: I could sit and listen to you tell stories and
- 34:09Speaker 2: talk about this. Jeff Jarrett's another one. Bruce Prichard, I think,
- 34:13Speaker 2: is a star every time he's a guest on one
- 34:16Speaker 2: of these docu-series or documentaries. Every time I see his
- 34:19Speaker 2: face up there, I'm like, okay, we're about to get
- 34:20Speaker 2: a good story or we're about to get good perspective
- 34:23Speaker 2: on this superstar that everyone knows. Do you find that
- 34:27Speaker 2: with him also? And when you open up and ask
- 34:29Speaker 2: him a question, you don't know where it's going?
- 34:32Speaker 3: Yeah, Bruce is one of a kind. I mean, he's
- 34:35Speaker 3: really responsible, in my opinion, for the podcast genre exploding
- 34:39Speaker 3: the way it did. When we first launched it, you know,
- 34:41Speaker 3: I had been doing the Ric Flair show for quite
- 34:43Speaker 3: a while and people were sort of making fun. I
- 34:45Speaker 3: remember that was a big fan fest. I was at
- 34:47Speaker 3: in Charlotte and they're like, why are you doing a
- 34:49Speaker 3: podcast with brother love? You went from Ric Flair to
- 34:52Speaker 3: brother love. And I'm like, Hey man, respectfully, you have
- 34:54Speaker 3: no idea. This is the guy behind the guy. He
- 34:57Speaker 3: was there for so many of these iconic moments from
- 35:00Speaker 3: 1987 to 2009. I mean, that's, that's a heck of
- 35:03Speaker 3: a run and everything in between, whether it's Hulk Hogan
- 35:06Speaker 3: or stone cold or John Cena or anyone else. Bruce
- 35:09Speaker 3: had a story and his ability to tell a story
- 35:12Speaker 3: and do silly impressions and look for the humor and
- 35:14Speaker 3: look for the punchlines. I just think he is he's
- 35:17Speaker 3: a podcast star. I think him and Jim Cornette are
- 35:20Speaker 3: probably in a league of their own.
- 35:21Speaker 1: And you see, that's the other twist to it. Chad
- 35:24Speaker 1: is Conrad will call him out on stuff. You guys
- 35:27Speaker 1: go at it from time to time and you don't
- 35:28Speaker 1: take it personal. You know, that that's that's also a
- 35:31Speaker 1: trick behind the scenes of why it's so good.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Well, I appreciate you saying that, but you know, as
- 35:36Speaker 3: a guy who's grown up listening to sports talk radio
- 35:39Speaker 3: in Alabama, I realized that you've got to do good radio.
- 35:42Speaker 3: And so, you know, during, during Nick Saban's heyday, what
- 35:46Speaker 3: would that have sounded like? I don't think Alabama is
- 35:48Speaker 3: going to lose a game. And the co-host says, I agree.
- 35:51Speaker 3: We'll be back after these words. Like you can't do that.
- 35:53Speaker 1: That's like legend calling it a five off.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Yes. There you go. So we got it. We got
- 35:57Speaker 3: to create something. So every now and again, I, uh,
- 36:00Speaker 3: I want to dig my heels in and argue a
- 36:02Speaker 3: little bit. It's fun.
- 36:04Speaker 2: It's amazing the sense of humor of people around that,
- 36:07Speaker 2: that industry too. I was listening to a podcast with
- 36:10Speaker 2: Conan O'Brien who had one of his head writers on
- 36:12Speaker 2: his original Conan O'Brien show left and went to go
- 36:16Speaker 2: to work for WWE as one of the writers for that.
- 36:19Speaker 2: And he's talked on his podcast about how he loves
- 36:22Speaker 2: watching wrestling. And as a fan of comedy, he totally
- 36:25Speaker 2: understands how people who are comedically gifted are really good
- 36:30Speaker 2: at going in and, writing the storylines and the punchlines,
- 36:33Speaker 2: as you mentioned, and everything else. I'm sure you found
- 36:35Speaker 2: that with Bruce, but I thought that was an interesting
- 36:38Speaker 2: intersection of the two with Conan O'Brien having a head
- 36:41Speaker 2: writer that eventually went on to write for WWE.
- 36:44Speaker 3: It's unbelievable. I mean, they're recruiting a lot of their
- 36:46Speaker 3: writers straight out of Hollywood. You know, they're either former
- 36:49Speaker 3: wrestlers who've kind of grown up in the business and
- 36:51Speaker 3: now their in-ring days are behind them, or they're right
- 36:55Speaker 3: from Hollywood. And so, It's interesting to see how that
- 36:58Speaker 3: evolution has changed because that was not the case way
- 37:01Speaker 3: back when. It was just Vince, Bruce, and Pat.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Yeah. And they would do that in Connecticut, right? Yeah.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I was sitting around Vince's pool just coming up with ideas.
- 37:10Speaker 3: They would start with next year's WrestleMania and work backwards.
- 37:14Speaker 3: And I don't think it happens like that anymore anywhere.
- 37:17Speaker 1: They're not wearing suits then, right?
- 37:19Speaker 3: I can't imagine. I can't imagine.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Hey, give the website out again for the intercontinental title
- 37:25Speaker 1: that you have for auction. It will end on Saturday.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it sure will. This Saturday, WrestlemaniaBelt.com. You can see
- 37:32Speaker 3: all about it. It was in use every single week
- 37:34Speaker 3: on TV from 1985 until early 1988. So we're talking
- 37:38Speaker 3: Tito Santana, the Macho Man Randy Savage. Ricky, the dragon steamboat,
- 37:43Speaker 3: and maybe the greatest WrestleMania match of all time. Certainly
- 37:46Speaker 3: the 1987 match of the year. And then the honky
- 37:48Speaker 3: tonk man, the greatest intercontinental champion of all time. And
- 37:51Speaker 3: that belt can be yours this Saturday at WrestleMania belt.com.
- 37:55Speaker 1: We'll set a record. So I hope so, man.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Knock on wood.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Is there, is there a safe guy that has purchased
- 38:01Speaker 1: your stuff at the past?
- 38:04Speaker 3: Yeah, there is a collector network. And before the hysteria
- 38:09Speaker 3: around this WrestleMania one set of boots that sold earlier
- 38:12Speaker 3: this year for a million bucks, there was really a
- 38:15Speaker 3: handful of collectors and we all kind of knew each other.
- 38:18Speaker 3: There's a guy in Florida, a guy in Louisiana, a
- 38:20Speaker 3: guy in the Northeast. And so whatever, any of us
- 38:22Speaker 3: wanted to sell something to, to buy something else, we
- 38:25Speaker 3: would say, Hey, what are you thinking about this? I'm
- 38:28Speaker 3: looking to buy that. Or we would do a trade.
- 38:30Speaker 3: But now with Heritage Auctions, I think we've blown the
- 38:33Speaker 3: doors off of that. People are going to go auction
- 38:35Speaker 3: first now.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Yeah, man. Thank you again for the time, and good
- 38:40Speaker 1: luck setting this record. And again, thank you for the
- 38:42Speaker 1: stories and insight.
- 38:44Speaker 3: No, thank you guys for having me. I appreciate it
- 38:45Speaker 3: very much. Absolutely.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Conrad Thompson there. I remember him going on the wake-up
- 38:51Speaker 1: zone for his live endorsements. Also, he mentioned 3HL, but
- 38:56Speaker 1: he would do that with Mark and Kevin and Frank
- 38:58Speaker 1: for many years. Yeah.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Yeah, an advertiser on Clay Travis's show, as he just said, too.
- 39:04Speaker 2: So I think it's a fascinating comparison between how Clay
- 39:10Speaker 2: got into it and what he's doing and how Conrad
- 39:12Speaker 2: got into it. Conrad is unique and special and very
- 39:18Speaker 2: talented in what he does and his knowledge base and everything.
- 39:21Speaker 2: But it goes to show there's a lot of people
- 39:23Speaker 2: out there who know a lot about something. you know,
- 39:26Speaker 2: and when you can package that in a smooth delivery
- 39:30Speaker 2: and you're a really good communicator and you have the
- 39:33Speaker 2: right connections, you, you can be Conrad Thompson, who's a
- 39:37Speaker 2: very successful podcaster and a very successful businessman with his
- 39:41Speaker 2: mortgage company.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 39:43Speaker 2: I think it's a really cool American, you know, success
- 39:46Speaker 2: story with him. And, uh, I don't watch wrestling currently.
- 39:50Speaker 2: He talked about you kind of go back to your childhood.
- 39:53Speaker 2: I watched wrestling when I was in high school. I
- 39:55Speaker 2: watched The Rock and I watched Stone Cold and The
- 39:57Speaker 2: Undertaker and Mankind. Attitude era was my era. Lorne Michaels
- 40:02Speaker 2: said about SNL, oh, what was your favorite cast? That's
- 40:04Speaker 2: how I know when you went to high school or
- 40:06Speaker 2: when you were in middle school and you started watching
- 40:08Speaker 2: the show. Everyone's going to go back to that era
- 40:11Speaker 2: of memory that he's talking about over a five to
- 40:13Speaker 2: ten year period. That's where I go back to wrestling. But, Hutton,
- 40:17Speaker 2: I can't get enough of the stories. I can sit
- 40:19Speaker 2: and listen to him and Jeff Jarrett. I can sit
- 40:21Speaker 2: and watch any docu-series about any pro wrestler, even when
- 40:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 40:25Speaker 1: As much about them.
- 40:27Speaker 2: The Hulk Hogan documentary, the Vince McMahon documentary, Andre the
- 40:30Speaker 2: Giant I mentioned.
- 40:32Speaker 1: A & E, I.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Think, did a series of sort of untold wrestling documentaries.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I watched all those. I love it. The Von Erich
- 40:41Speaker 1: movie about the Von Erichs.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:43Speaker 1: That's another one. What's that get from? The movie The Wrestler. Yeah.
- 40:48Speaker 1: And that's what I like.
- 40:49Speaker 2: The Jeff Jarrett story could be the Von Erich story
- 40:53Speaker 2: with Zac Efron. You know, that's that's it's a story
- 40:56Speaker 2: that could be told over the course of a Hollywood movie.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Do you like what I said? It was like nowadays
- 41:00Speaker 1: they're not doing anything illegal with all the stories now. Yeah.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I mean, I'm sure there's still something that goes on
- 41:06Speaker 2: illegal that we don't know about. But yeah, it's not
- 41:08Speaker 2: it's not nearly what it was.
- 41:11Speaker 1: It's incredible. Check out the network of shows that Conrad has.
- 41:17Speaker 1: A fantastic series that he's got going on there. Coming up,
- 41:21Speaker 1: the college football playoff committee. We throw this out there
- 41:24Speaker 1: a lot. What's the committee looking for? We just throw
- 41:28Speaker 1: it out as a group. Let's get specific. Who's on
- 41:30Speaker 1: the committee? Where are they from? And what's the criteria
- 41:33Speaker 1: this year for what they're looking for as we get
- 41:35Speaker 1: ready to go through the final stretch of the regular
- 41:38Speaker 1: season of college football and the push to compete for
- 41:41Speaker 1: a national title on the final year of a 12-team playoff?
- 41:44Speaker 1: That's next year on Hutton & Withrow. Presented by Hard
- 41:48Speaker 1: Rock Bet. You can check out the Hard Rock Bet
- 41:51Speaker 1: Sportsbook app. You can also check out where you can
- 41:53Speaker 1: go to get all of the Nashville Balls merchandise. It's
- 41:57Speaker 1: at XXXY Athletics. And Jennifer Say, she founded XXXY Athletics.
- 42:03Speaker 1: She left Levi's brand. She was the Levi's brand president.
- 42:06Speaker 1: She left because she'd rather go and found her own
- 42:10Speaker 1: company instead of say something that she didn't believe. And
- 42:13Speaker 1: she started XXXY Athletics instead. The mission, in their words,
- 42:16Speaker 1: is to empower female athletes and take a stand for
- 42:18Speaker 1: fair competition. They call it the T that launched a movement.
- 42:21Speaker 1: And it's real athletic apparel, not just a slogan on
- 42:23Speaker 1: a t-shirt.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Leggings, shorts, training sets, hoodies, hats, and yes, trucker hats
- 42:29Speaker 2: and tees featuring the Nashville Balls logo. Only at XXXY.
- 42:34Speaker 2: New customers get 20% off your first order when you
- 42:36Speaker 2: sign up. XXXYAthletics.com. That's XX-XYAthletics.com.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Chad, there was a point in time where if you
- 42:45Speaker 1: looked at the college football playoff committee, we did this
- 42:47Speaker 1: on our show a couple years ago. There was like a–
- 42:52Speaker 1: there is a media member still, but there was like
- 42:54Speaker 1: a professor from like a Division I, but like a
- 42:58Speaker 1: conference USA school, like a professor or it was a
- 43:02Speaker 1: manager or something. And we're like, what? What is going
- 43:05Speaker 1: on here? That's how they went around college athletics and
- 43:08Speaker 1: did this. So who's on the committee now? And there's
- 43:11Speaker 1: a term that you serve. One of them is Chris Massaro,
- 43:15Speaker 1: the athletic director at Middle Tennessee State University, which is
- 43:18Speaker 1: right down the road from where we broadcast from here
- 43:20Speaker 1: in Nashville, our home base for sport and state. But
- 43:22Speaker 1: in looking around, I like the fact that they have
- 43:24Speaker 1: some former players. They have a nice mix of ADs
- 43:28Speaker 1: and head coaches. I just think there should be more
- 43:32Speaker 1: coaches and players on the committee than ADs. Just a
- 43:37Speaker 1: day-to-day regimen of the job itself. I don't think the
- 43:41Speaker 1: ADs are watching as much football or involved in the
- 43:45Speaker 1: football aspect because, I mean, they're in charge of every
- 43:48Speaker 1: athletic program, not just one. I'm not saying they shouldn't
- 43:51Speaker 1: be on the committee. I don't think there should be
- 43:53Speaker 1: as many.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Yeah, Hunter Urachek, Arkansas AD, who's under fire from his
- 43:58Speaker 2: own fan base being on there is interesting. But, yeah,
- 44:01Speaker 2: I like the Mike Reillys, the Gus Malzahn, Mark D'Antonio,
- 44:06Speaker 2: Randall McDaniel, the former football guys, right? Like the coaches,
- 44:10Speaker 2: former players. I like putting those guys on there. And
- 44:15Speaker 2: I think it is important. Being an athletic director and
- 44:19Speaker 2: having that spot, I think, is a good one to
- 44:21Speaker 2: be in. You know, it's like a lot of times
- 44:24Speaker 2: former governors make good presidents because they've had to lead
- 44:28Speaker 2: a state and govern a state with their previous job.
- 44:32Speaker 2: I think being an athletic director and being in administration
- 44:34Speaker 2: is And having that perspective also is not a bad thing. Also,
- 44:38Speaker 2: just look at that and think, boy, we're entrusting these
- 44:42Speaker 2: people with a lot.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Yes.
- 44:44Speaker 2: I mean, ask Notre Dame a year ago, feeling like
- 44:47Speaker 2: they were snubbed, right? Like we are really asking a
- 44:50Speaker 2: lot out of a small group of people to come
- 44:52Speaker 2: up with the right 12 teams every year based on
- 44:57Speaker 2: the protocols in front of them. And I would also say,
- 45:00Speaker 2: you know, they're going to take the heat for whatever
- 45:02Speaker 2: decision they make. But there's a lot of people who
- 45:05Speaker 2: could just watch college football every weekend and then look
- 45:08Speaker 2: at the rules for the selection and tell you what
- 45:11Speaker 2: they think about who should be in the 12-team playoff, right?
- 45:14Speaker 2: And they could do it without bias. So what makes
- 45:17Speaker 2: them special or uniquely qualified to do it? I don't
- 45:21Speaker 2: know that they are, but I think it's always just
- 45:24Speaker 2: about getting the right.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Mix of people involved.
- 45:26Speaker 2: You can't lean too heavy with one conference or with
- 45:29Speaker 2: one job. You can't lean too heavily. With former players
- 45:33Speaker 2: or former coaches, there's got to be a decent mix
- 45:35Speaker 2: of everyone involved.
- 45:37Speaker 1: And what's the criteria? Well, here we try to lay
- 45:39Speaker 1: it out for you with the mission and how the
- 45:41Speaker 1: vote works and the seeding and buys. The seeding and
- 45:45Speaker 1: how the vote works, they're actually pairing teams together in bunches.
- 45:52Speaker 1: They seed teams through one through four, then they'll go
- 45:55Speaker 1: five through seven, and they seed them together like that
- 45:59Speaker 1: instead of having a vote where you just list your
- 46:03Speaker 1: top 25, they're actually trying to discuss who should be
- 46:06Speaker 1: in what pod. And that's why it gets blurry to
- 46:10Speaker 1: us fans because we're discussing should a team be in
- 46:13Speaker 1: with a 12. They're really discussing whether or not a
- 46:16Speaker 1: team should be in a tier. And that's part of
- 46:19Speaker 1: the protocol here with what they're asked to do versus
- 46:23Speaker 1: how we come up with our own rankings. They don't
- 46:25Speaker 1: rank up the top 25. They do, but they don't
- 46:28Speaker 1: do it all at once. They're not comparing any of
- 46:30Speaker 1: the teams behind or in front of their pod. And
- 46:33Speaker 1: that's what's fascinating to me is how they go about
- 46:35Speaker 1: choosing between five to six teams instead of the top
- 46:39Speaker 1: 25 and discussing everything at once.
- 46:41Speaker 2: They're not really doing that. Yeah, we don't care about
- 46:44Speaker 2: your rankings. Here are our rankings. We have a ranking
- 46:47Speaker 2: system and we have a pod system. And just because
- 46:50Speaker 2: the AP says this or there's another vote that says that.
- 46:54Speaker 1: We don't care. We're going to rank them accordingly. And
- 46:56Speaker 1: by the way, that's how it should work.
- 46:59Speaker 2: I mean, we bemoan preseason rankings all the time because
- 47:03Speaker 2: it sets teams up for success or failure oftentimes based
- 47:07Speaker 2: on where you're ranked in the preseason to start the
- 47:09Speaker 2: process without knowing.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Anything about these teams.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Texas A & M was a preseason top 10 team,
- 47:13Speaker 2: and we've seen plenty of them that have fallen out
- 47:16Speaker 2: of the top 25. Oregon was a team picked to
- 47:19Speaker 2: possibly win a national title. And they're out of the
- 47:21Speaker 2: top 25 right now. So what do we really know
- 47:23Speaker 2: before a season?
- 47:24Speaker 1: Well, we don't know much and maybe do away with
- 47:27Speaker 1: those polls.
- 47:27Speaker 2: But that kind of goes with the maybe everyone doesn't
- 47:31Speaker 2: know what others know. And it doesn't matter what you
- 47:35Speaker 2: think you know, because we are the ones in charge
- 47:37Speaker 2: of slotting this based on the rules in front of
- 47:39Speaker 2: us for this playoff ranking. And it could be completely
- 47:42Speaker 2: different from what the Associated Press and writers across America say.
- 47:46Speaker 1: And we will have. The rankings show that it gets
- 47:50Speaker 1: going towards the back end of the season. The first
- 47:52Speaker 1: one is on November 3rd. So there's this weekend and
- 47:55Speaker 1: next weekend. And then you have the rankings starting to
- 47:58Speaker 1: be released every week. It's every Tuesday leading up to
- 48:02Speaker 1: the college football playoff announcement. So, Chad, November 24th. Sorry, Tuesday,
- 48:07Speaker 1: December 1st. That's the ranking that is before the final one.
- 48:11Speaker 1: That's where we really see about the three-loss teams, right? Yeah.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Where they'll be seated. And if a two-loss team loses
- 48:17Speaker 1: in the final week, where they would be based on
- 48:20Speaker 1: the final ranking. Post-Thanksgiving weekend. Yes.
- 48:24Speaker 2: End of regular season. Pre-final swan song for conference championship
- 48:29Speaker 2: game weekend. That will be no more moving forward because
- 48:32Speaker 2: we're going to go into the playoff that week now.
- 48:36Speaker 1: That's going to be a fascinating one to see.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Also, and we're going to talk more tomorrow, I know,
- 48:41Speaker 2: about the 2014 playoff and what all that could mean.
- 48:44Speaker 2: That next weekend being Heisman and I think Navy, or
- 48:48Speaker 2: maybe flip-flopping the two, where that's also going to coincide
- 48:51Speaker 2: with playoff games. That's going to be interesting to see
- 48:53Speaker 2: how they navigate all that. But yes, I'm totally with you.
- 48:57Speaker 2: That Tuesday after Thanksgiving weekend is going to tell us
- 49:01Speaker 2: pretty much all.
- 49:01Speaker 1: We need to know. Yep, the 30-minute show. And then
- 49:04Speaker 1: the selection day is Sunday, December 6th, for those that
- 49:07Speaker 1: want to File that away. Sunday, December 6th at noon.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Coming up, Hard Rock Locks. Our top games that we
- 49:14Speaker 1: are playing right now at Hard Rock Bet and why
- 49:17Speaker 1: you should too. And we find out. chad's friday night
- 49:20Speaker 1: bet where he is currently 15 and 1 jack 15.
- 49:23Speaker 2: And 1 15 and 1 about to go 16 and
- 49:24Speaker 2: 1 push for 16 he tells us which team to take.
- 49:31Speaker 1: On Friday night. That's straight ahead here on How to Withdraw.
- 49:33Speaker 3: This year, the party's getting even bigger. Hey, there's Jay Boyd.
- 49:37Speaker 3: They know me. This party, everybody's somebody. And Hard Rock

- 49:55Speaker 3: Bet $ 5.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Get up to $ 500 in no-sweat bets. hardrock.bet.com. Time for
- 50:03Speaker 1: our Hard Rock Lock of the Week. Chad, I'm going
- 50:06Speaker 1: to start here, and then we're going to find out
- 50:07Speaker 1: your Friday Night Lock. Give me Kentucky, minus 11.5. Vanderbilt's
- 50:13Speaker 1: offense is going to struggle to establish any kind of
- 50:16Speaker 1: consistent ground game in this game, which means they're going
- 50:18Speaker 1: to be forced to pass, predictable passing downs, and they're
- 50:22Speaker 1: on the road. Vanderbilt's defense, they've shown cracks when facing
- 50:27Speaker 1: the stretch with the passing games. horizontally as well, not
- 50:33Speaker 1: just vertically. Wildcats return home after the win, and they
- 50:37Speaker 1: are going to get the win for us. Not for
- 50:40Speaker 1: the Bluegrass State, for us. Take Kentucky minus 11.5.
- 50:45Speaker 2: You don't go into Kroger Field and push the Wildcats around.
- 50:48Speaker 2: That's what we're going to find out on Saturday night.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Jacob Lutz knows that all too well. I am going
- 50:53Speaker 2: to go with the surprising rematch of the ACC championship game.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Yes, that's right.
- 50:58Speaker 2: It was Duke over Virginia for last year's ACC championship.
- 51:02Speaker 2: How quickly we forget. Duke has lost two straight games.
- 51:07Speaker 2: They just lost to their rival in UNC and Bill Belichick.
- 51:10Speaker 2: But Bo Pribula in Virginia. Pribula started off great. He
- 51:14Speaker 2: was at 80% completion percentage for the first four games
- 51:17Speaker 2: of the season. He's dipped off a little bit. No
- 51:21Speaker 2: better time than Friday night to have that tick up.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Now for the Virginia Cavaliers, minus two and a half.
- 51:27Speaker 2: I've done very well on Friday night. I've done very
- 51:29Speaker 2: well taking the home team. A week ago it was
- 51:32Speaker 2: Tulane at home winning outright over Memphis. I think the
- 51:35Speaker 2: one game I lost was Virginia Tech as a slight
- 51:39Speaker 2: home favorite when they lost on that field goal make
- 51:42Speaker 2: or miss.
- 51:42Speaker 1: We're still not sure.
- 51:44Speaker 2: With Pittsburgh at home in Blacksburg, I believe it was
- 51:46Speaker 2: my one Friday night loss of the year. But I'm
- 51:48Speaker 2: not going to lose this one. Virginia, Cavs, minus two
- 51:52Speaker 2: and a half against Duke. Friday night football, Hutton. Let's
- 51:56Speaker 2: ride this hot streak. It was a heat check last week.
- 51:59Speaker 2: Didn't do a lot of research going into that one.
- 52:01Speaker 1: It paid off.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I've done more research into this game. I love it
- 52:05Speaker 2: the same. Virginia minus two and a half.
- 52:08Speaker 1: This is more than just a nice run. This is unprecedented.
- 52:10Speaker 1: This is just Papa Giorgio. Right.
- 52:13Speaker 2: I should be a weekly guest on On Tilt or
- 52:15Speaker 2: with Todd Furman at this point. The fact that they
- 52:17Speaker 2: haven't asked me on, I'm quite offended by because I
- 52:19Speaker 2: am killing it on Friday night college football at this point.
- 52:22Speaker 1: I knew this ahead of time, but Virginia minus two
- 52:26Speaker 1: and a half already took it. Already took it at
- 52:28Speaker 1: HardRockBet and the Sportsbook app. Right now, HardRock.Bet.Clay. You can
- 52:33Speaker 1: join us. You need to follow Chad. You need to
- 52:34Speaker 1: roll with Chad here. Go to HardRock.Bet.Clay and take advantage
- 52:39Speaker 1: of the offer. $ 5, get up to $ 500 and no
- 52:41Speaker 1: sweat bets. That's HardRock.Bet.Clay. Chad, even last Friday, we're on stage.
- 52:47Speaker 1: We're on the show for Dixieland Delight Friday night. You're
- 52:50Speaker 1: watching Tulane. It was over pretty much going into half.
- 52:58Speaker 1: They scored. They did the lead. They kept scoring. There
- 53:00Speaker 1: was no sweat. No sweat with this.
- 53:02Speaker 2: No. We were sitting there. We're enjoying a late-night dinner
- 53:06Speaker 2: at a nice restaurant, J.C. Holdway in Knoxville. And I
- 53:08Speaker 2: just look up and I just casually flash at them.
- 53:10Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, they're up like three scores late in
- 53:12Speaker 2: the game. It's the easiest cover ever. That's how I
- 53:15Speaker 2: feel now on Friday. I don't sweat out anything. They
- 53:17Speaker 2: have no sweat bets at Hard Rock Bet. I'm not
- 53:19Speaker 2: sweating at all. Virginia's going to cover this thing easily
- 53:22Speaker 2: on Friday night.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Run this back on Monday. Enjoy Thursday night football as well.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Two and a half for Chicago at home tonight against
- 53:31Speaker 1: the Patriots. You can take that as well right now
- 53:34Speaker 1: at hardrock.bet.com. For Chad Withrow, I'm Jonathan Hutton. This is
- 53:39Speaker 1: Hutton and Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet on the
- 53:41Speaker 1: Sports State Network.
