- 0:49Speaker 1: Hi love, I am out of office this week, but producer Joy and I wanted to replay one of our favorite episodes from the very beginning of the second season, and it is because what we talk about in this episode is one of the most powerful and underused healing tools that I have ever, ever experienced, ever experienced it's almost too good to be true the way that this particular healing modality works and it does not.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It's gaining popularity, but it is not widely understood and it is not widely known about.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I have my theories about that right, because of just kind of what has happened in our modern world to do with medicine and health and wellbeing.
- 1:29Speaker 1: But definitely check out this episode, especially because this healing modality is one of the cornerstones of how we are going to work with the 12 women that end up enrolling in our program launching in the next month or so.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Enjoy, hi love.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Welcome to Dear Divorce Diary, the podcast helping divorcees go beyond talk therapy to process your grief, find the healing you crave and build back your confidence.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm your host, dawn Wiggins, a therapist, coach, integrative healer and divorcee.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Join me for a fresh approach to healing grief and building your confidence after divorce.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Hi loves, today we have potentially the most life-changing interview for you and I just cannot wait to dig in with our guest, kaylee Anello.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Kaylee, welcome to the pod.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Hi, thank you for having me.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Kaylee is a classically trained homeopath.
- 2:43Speaker 1: She also is a functional nutritionist.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Kaylee, I noticed you have your bachelor's degree in psychology, which just screams like.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Always you've been interested in healing mind-body, healing, right Like always yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 1: And because Kaylee is actually my homeopath, loves, this is just such a treat.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You've been hearing me tease the idea of homeopathy on most recent episodes, so I know a little bit more about Kaylee because we've worked together.
- 3:11Speaker 1: She also has a background in human design and you spent some time doing human design readings, right.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So get ready, loves, because we're going to be talking more about that in future episodes.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Also, kaylee, welcome, welcome.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Tell us a little bit about how you got into homeopathy, your story and why no one's heard about homeopathy.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that could be such a game changer for our listeners.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Right, well, first of all, dawn, thank you for having me.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I'm so excited to be here.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I love your work, your podcast, everything.
- 3:40Speaker 2: So happy to be here.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And so a little bit about me.
- 3:44Speaker 2: As you kind of alluded to, I truly have always been interested in healing.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Back when I was younger, it was definitely more of the psychological realm.
- 3:54Speaker 2: You know, in college I thought I was kind of going to continue on, do neuroscience, psychiatry.
- 4:00Speaker 2: That was my original path.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Wow, yeah, I didn't know that.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's, I took a lot of those classes when I was in college, thinking that's what I was going to do.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And then I was like, well, maybe social work, but it was always in that realm.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And then, essentially, I what I like to say is kind of fate stepped in right, so I ended up getting an injury.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It was just, from you know, like one of those workout classes where it's like how many burpees can you do in 60 seconds and don't care about your form whatsoever.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So I ended up just injuring my hip through that and I ended up seeing a chiropractor.
- 4:36Speaker 2: For that, long story short, it led me to a different chiropractor who was also a homeopath, into natural medicine, herbalism, all of the things, and I would have never met him if I hadn't gotten injured like that.
- 4:53Speaker 2: It completely changed my path.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Plot twist.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been seeing a new chiropractor this summer and I've actually been meaning to ask you about that, cause I've heard on your Instagram stories guys Kaylee's Instagram stories are fire just in terms of learning right about healing and just so much practical information.
- 5:12Speaker 1: But I've seen you talk a bit about um chiropractic on there.
- 5:16Speaker 1: And my new chiropractor is so far like the best one I've ever seen because I'm attracting cool shit these days and um he says chiropractors.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Chiropractic is based on homeopathic principles Like I could see how he says that actually, because, not to get too into what homeopathy is I'm sure we'll discuss that in depth but homeopathy is based on really aligning your own inner healing mechanism.
- 5:44Speaker 2: That's maybe a little bit out of whack.
- 5:47Speaker 2: So think of it as a guitar that's out of tune, even if there's like one string that's slightly off, the whole instrument isn't going to play.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Well, right, you're going to be like, oh, that sounds terrible.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Well, that's what happens with years of suppression and medication and trauma.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Our bodies just are out of whack.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Our own healing mechanism gets a little bit stuck, it gets a little bit off.
- 6:10Speaker 2: So chiropractic is kind of freeing up that life force, that chi, whatever you want to call it, in a similar ish way.
- 6:18Speaker 2: You know, to get, you know really, um, all the nutrients to the cells again.
- 6:23Speaker 1: And so I love this idea of gentle healing and we will, we'll unpack this loves, I swear.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But that you know kind of chiropractic story of let me provide the body what it needs rather than um overwhelming it with medication.
- 6:38Speaker 1: That's a product, it's that alignment, right, okay?
- 6:40Speaker 1: So you meet this chiropractor who just gets it like gets it.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yeah, because the original chiropractor I saw with my injury he just I, you know it's like this is actually a good lesson, I think, and I think everyone can relate to this.
- 6:54Speaker 2: If you walk into an office or you see somebody in your guts like I don't know about this, walkout yourself, you know it's not impolite because that's what happened.
- 7:04Speaker 2: You know, I was 19 at the time, so I didn't know any better, but I was like, ah, something's off.
- 7:10Speaker 2: And he ended up tweaking my neck a little bit, just because how fast he was moving, and so.
- 7:16Speaker 2: But again, it was like it's funny because there's like two injuries, let course corrected me to the right place, because then, um, my partner, her boss, basically knew this chiropractor.
- 7:28Speaker 2: He was like, oh, my God, you have to see Robert, like you're going to love him, he's so good.
- 7:33Speaker 2: And I went to him and like, mind you, like the ER couldn't help my neck, like I was in so much pain and it was like 30 minutes of like this massage technique and it was like so much better.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I was like okay, this guy knows something.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think that was the experience that I needed, because I didn't know anything about natural health.
- 7:55Speaker 2: So, like the fact that he helped me so much, like he came to the waiting room with a glass of magnesium water for me, like it was just he asked me what my birthday was like.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Oh, you're a Pisces Like.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I was like I don't even know what this guy is talking about.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But something about it felt right, it landed correctly in my body and I was like oh, this is for me, and I would say that that's usually how homeopathy is for people, even if they don't understand it.
- 8:22Speaker 2: There's a big learning curve sometimes and I try to mitigate that as much as possible.
- 8:28Speaker 2: But what we're saying kind of lands, and it feels like curious to you or you want to explore it lands well in your body.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I would say that's how it felt for me and that's what pulled me to learn more, even though I didn't necessarily know or understand at first.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Same.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Okay, so this is how I found you, right.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So we're December of 2022 and I'm it's, it's, we're leading up to the holiday and, um, I'm scrolling the gram and I see a post suggested for me and it was maybe one of your mentors or colleagues who was doing a series last year for the holidays about remedies for, like, basically, tired moms during the holidays.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And I was scrolling through and I'm sure one of them that she listed was sepia and one of them was nap mirror.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And I'm reading about and because I've have a history of all the traumas and all the chronic disease, which is how I landed on your doorstep, right, I'm always looking for a modality to, to like, heal me, right.
- 9:35Speaker 1: So, and I'm like, how have I never heard of this?
- 9:38Speaker 1: And I'm reading the words and it's resonating and it's like I was hooked.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Exactly, exactly, yeah, because you know to fast forward a little bit, I started seeing him and I did like the functional medicine testing and all of that stuff, and I was like one of those people where if you pile on supplements for me, my body's not going to like it, like I'm more of a sensitive type when it comes to that.
- 10:04Speaker 2: And so, you know, his wife was like let's just give her a remedy, just try to give her this remedy.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And so I got my first remedy and it was like just immediate calm washed over my body.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It was like, okay, this just feels so good, it felt so much better than like the pushing, the forcing, contorting my body to try to like force my body into healing.
- 10:28Speaker 2: It was like let's just give it a gentle nudge and that just instantly felt better.
- 10:33Speaker 2: And because I was interested in psychology there's such a psychological component to homeopathy I knew it was for me and that's kind of what you were saying with, like you know, helping during a busy holiday season.
- 10:45Speaker 2: It can help with things like grief, stress, anxiety, I, you know all the even for kids like behavioral problems and kids like all of the things.
- 10:56Speaker 2: And also the same remedy will help with the physical problems, because it's all connected, it's all connected.
- 11:02Speaker 1: So, and that's why I knew I had to have you on right, Because ever since that fateful day in December and then I came to find you and, um, because I still had chronic illness stuff going on that no other modality had gotten to, not the piles of supplements I was the woman with the 30 supplement bottles on the counter, right and and, of course, emdr and EFT, tapping and chiropractic and all the things right, but still had physical symptoms and still had mental and emotional symptoms that I didn't even realize that could have as much freedom from as I do today.
- 11:36Speaker 1: It's mind blowing.
- 11:38Speaker 1: And so I knew we had to have you on, because I think we have gotten to a place in today's world where we think we have to suffer, yeah, or we have to do it the hard way the hard way, and homeopathy has shown me that we don't.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And so I started adding it with my clients.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Right, I've obviously by now you know this, I'm one of the most stubborn clients, I'm sure.
- 12:05Speaker 1: And um, I've read all the books and sometimes I think I know better.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I mean, how could that even be?
- 12:10Speaker 1: And uh.
- 12:11Speaker 1: And so I've started recommending remedies and just watching my clients get better so much faster.
- 12:15Speaker 1: And I just knew we needed to get together to share with our listeners how they can heal more smoothly, with less force, with less feeling like they can't catch up.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Right, yeah.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:30Speaker 2: So I guess let's get into what it even is homeopathy, right?
- 12:34Speaker 2: So homeopathy was actually made in the 1700s.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It was created by a man, samuel Hahnemann, and it was completely by accident.
- 12:47Speaker 2: It was actually during an epidemic, so he was trying to find a solution to malaria, exactly.
- 12:49Speaker 2: So he.
- 12:50Speaker 2: The first kind of thing he did was he was just like very interested in plants that's how it all started.
- 12:55Speaker 2: It was just cinchona bark.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So he took a little bit of cinchona bark and he noticed that it gave him symptoms extremely similar to malaria.
- 13:03Speaker 2: So it kind of just percolated something in his head where it was like interesting, I'm going to keep testing this out.
- 13:09Speaker 2: And so what he ultimately discovered is, if you not take the crude or the very physical form of the bark and like just chew on the bark, if you create a remedy from it, where you're extracting most of the physical property and you're really only leaving the energetic signature, it's a match for your body's internal healing mechanism.
- 14:21Speaker 2: It's almost like sending a text message that says, hey, you have these symptoms, this is a similar disease, and it basically sends that signal.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Let's work on this, let's boost your vital force, your vitality, let's remove whatever is blocking the completion of the healing, because your body is always trying to complete the healing, and that's when you feel the most uncomfortable is actually when your body's in healing mode.
- 14:45Speaker 2: And so it's similar enough.
- 14:48Speaker 2: The remedy produces a similar enough signal that it can basically overcome those similar symptoms that the bark would have produced in a healthy person.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Okay, you said so many things in those handful of sentences.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I'm sure I know.
- 15:04Speaker 1: So let's break it down, because this is where I think people, because if I Google homeopathy right now, right, I'm going to read more negative stuff than positive stuff, and so this is where I really want our listeners to get their medicine here.
- 15:18Speaker 1: So, first things first.
- 15:20Speaker 1: What I heard you say is that remedies are made from the energy signature of, of of a natural material.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Yes, and there's very little actual content.
- 15:32Speaker 1: So like if, if my remedy is tree bark, I I'm not tree bark, but I wish I wish I was tree bark.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I'm far more sinister things.
- 15:38Speaker 1: If my remedy was tree bark, I wouldn't actually be eating tree bark.
- 15:41Speaker 1: It'd be the energy signature of tree bark.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It'd be the energy signature of tree bark.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 15:45Speaker 2: So what you would get is a remedy that's these little pellets.
- 15:49Speaker 2: So they're, you know, lactose pellets or sucrose pellets, depending.
- 15:53Speaker 2: And you know, basically this original substance has been potentized and diluted, so you're adding energy to it at every step of the process of making the remedy, and so, basically, that's ensuring that that energetic signature remains in the remedy.
- 16:09Speaker 2: You know, in layman's terms, homeopathy just means similar suffering, similar suffering.
- 16:22Speaker 2: So you know, there have been many, many, many willing participants, a lot of homeopaths who have taken the time.
- 16:24Speaker 2: We've taken these remedies and when you take them repeatedly, and repeatedly in a different way, we can see, we can feel in our physical body and in our mental, emotional space what this remedy would be helpful for.
- 16:37Speaker 2: We record that in what we call the Materia Medica.
- 16:40Speaker 2: So basically, we have hundreds of thousands of remedies available and we know what they do because we've gone through a process of approving to be able to.
- 16:51Speaker 2: So when you sit down in front of me it's like, oh, got it.
- 16:53Speaker 2: This, this, this, you know what's her constellation of symptoms, what's her symptom picture.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I'm going to go match that to a remedy that has that same kind of picture.
- 17:01Speaker 2: So when you say similar suffering, one of the things, when I'm going to go match that to a remedy that has that same kind of picture.
- 17:05Speaker 1: So when you say similar suffering one of the things when I'm describing this to people, because it's hard to wrap our minds around it's very different from allopathic or functional medicine, westernized medicine practice, right.
- 17:16Speaker 1: So when I'm explaining homeopathy to people, I'll sometimes reference how the antidote to snake venom is snake venom and that phrase that we commonly use the hair of the dog in treating a hangover, right?
- 17:29Speaker 1: If you have a horrible hangover, drink a bit of alcohol.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You feel better, Right?
- 17:34Speaker 1: So is this similar concept, this similar suffering, the Latin root of homeopathy is those similar concepts that, yeah, that we antidote snake bites with snake venom and we get over our hangover by drinking a beer.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:49Speaker 2: So that would be like a literal isopathy, so it's like a one for one match.
- 17:54Speaker 2: So a good way to explain homeopathy would be let's say that you know you have a very itchy rash, similar to poison ivy.
- 18:02Speaker 2: You know, when you tramp through poison Ivy it's red, it's itchy, it's raised.
- 18:07Speaker 1: You would take homeopathic remedy made from poison Ivy to help with that rash even if it's not a poison Ivy rash, because the symptoms are so similar, I see, and then it clears it.
- 18:20Speaker 1: So, and that would be for a single symptom, but what you do that's so magical is constitutional homeopathy, which takes every symptom that a person is experiencing.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Okay, so let's talk about how, when I came to you, I had cluster headaches that nobody had completely resolved.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I say nobody, like my body, my mind body had not completely resolved, no matter how many different treatments I had pursued.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Right, and the remedy that you recommended, would you call it a trauma remedy?
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I would, I would.
- 18:51Speaker 2: So you know, every homeopath is a little bit different.
- 18:54Speaker 2: My approach really is like physical disease starts in the mental, emotional sphere, it throws our body off and it continues to be off and from there it produces symptoms, as kind of a signal of like.
- 19:08Speaker 2: There's some things that are maybe unresolved and you know, when I see a patient for a client for allergies, they come in for allergies.
- 19:19Speaker 2: We ended up talking about, you know, their divorce, for example, or the mother wound that they've been carrying, or, and it's like that ends up being what the what the session is about even if they came in for allergies and then they start to see themselves the connection.
- 19:30Speaker 2: They're like Whoa, I have these ingrained patterns that you know are so connected to my illness.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Just a quick example of that, for example, that I see a lot with women is, you know, when there's a lot of trauma around attachments or relationship trauma, I'll often see they have like reoccurring UTIs or skin conditions or things that prevent further intimacy, right, it's like their body is protecting them because they have this memory of pain and loss in separation that it's like Associated with the closeness Right.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So their body throws up these physical symptoms as a way to kind of prevent further pain.
- 20:10Speaker 2: And so, once you resolve with homeopathy, yes, it's touching on the UTI or the whatever it is, the pain during sex, but it's also has to touch on the relationship thing, otherwise it really doesn't resolve, because the root of it was the relationship problem that was, you know, distancing them from their partner and them not wanting the connection on a sub, you know, even the subconscious level.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I think it must be so deeply subconscious because here I am sitting with you Like I consider myself a pretty exceptional clinician right, A really good therapist with a lot of experience, who's had a lot of really good therapists, who's I've used all the tools, done all the things right.
- 20:50Speaker 1: But that very first remedy that you recommended went so far and immediately my the headaches didn't go right away.
- 20:58Speaker 1: The headaches took several months and I think even a second remedy to to completely resolve but um, but the thing that I noticed when you recommended the first remedy is I stopped being angry Like I didn't stop having anger, right, I didn't stop.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I still get angry, right.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I just sniffed at my husband earlier this morning when we were recording the earlier podcast episode, but so I still have anger.
- 21:19Speaker 1: But there was this chronicity.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Yes, and that's what you were describing in your initial explanation of what homeopathy is anywhere that there is a chronicity to something.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:30Speaker 1: So for our listeners, like when we're obsessing over how we've been wronged by our ex, when we're looping on the pain and the how we've been betrayed and we can't, can't get past but why did this happen?
- 21:42Speaker 1: And maybe even a little bit of victimy stuff and like, right, there's a chronicity and that's when we know that we're calling for some additional healing tool.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Right, that's what homeopathy resolves is because the you described the mind, body, is always attempting to heal.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Yes, and it's not that it doesn't know what it's doesn't know what it's doing.
- 22:02Speaker 1: It knows what it's doing, but there's something blocking it, something energetic, that's subconscious, cellular level, and the remedy just goes in and unblocks it.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yes, exactly.
- 22:15Speaker 2: So it's kind of like the remedy is just a vibrational match for that emotion, for example, or that experience Like it's hard for even homeopaths to wrap our head around Like why does this work?
- 22:26Speaker 2: How does it work?
- 22:27Speaker 2: I always say homeopathy has to be experienced to be believed and you don't have to believe it before trying it.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Just try it for something small, like Arnica, for muscle soreness, you know, and so you know what I see is that, you know, cause I love talk therapy.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I still, you know, see a therapist when I feel like something's coming up and it's just like because as humans we need that connection, we need that co-regulation to process things out.
- 22:57Speaker 2: That's so important.
- 22:58Speaker 2: But when you have these like this you know core wounds that probably dates back to childhood, that keeps getting re-triggered and re-triggered and we didn't have that space held for us in the past that's when that emotion kind of crystallizes in the body and homeopathy can reach that.
- 23:17Speaker 1: So again, wow, there's just so many things being said here.
- 23:20Speaker 1: So, right, therapy is magical, and I think one of the first things I said to you when we started working together is why was homeopathy and therapy ever separated?
- 23:31Speaker 1: Because they seem to go together like peas and carrots, right, and I often say to our listeners that divorce really is a symptom of earlier attachment wounding, like I think it would be the rare exception that somebody within a secure attachment style, with a fully integrated sense of self, with a healthy self-esteem, would pick a partner or relationship that would lead to divorce, like it's just, that just doesn't add up, that math doesn't add up.
- 23:59Speaker 1: So to your point, right, when we have these early childhood experiences, where then the energy or the traumas or the things get stuck in the body and we have all these symptoms that I think are popular medicine, culture teaches us are just part of being alive, oh, you're constipated all the time.
- 24:15Speaker 1: That's just.
- 24:16Speaker 2: That's just right, or it's just aging or aging yeah, it's just aging.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Like, oh, your periods are difficult or weird.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Like, yeah, that's just being a like.
- 24:25Speaker 2: No, Well, and that that touches on something really important is like so, if our body is always healing, why is it getting stuck?
- 24:33Speaker 2: Why can't our body complete it on its own?
- 24:36Speaker 2: And it's because we live in a culture, unfortunately right now, of suppression, if you're tired, drink a coffee.
- 24:42Speaker 2: You know there's nothing wrong with that.
- 24:43Speaker 2: But you see what I'm saying.
- 24:44Speaker 2: It's like always masking a symptom.
- 24:46Speaker 2: A rash, steroid cream, oh, you have a headache, take a Tylenol.
- 24:50Speaker 2: It's just.
- 24:50Speaker 2: It's so unconscious that it's so automatic.
- 24:54Speaker 2: That's just how we were raised.
- 24:56Speaker 2: You're sick, take medicine automatically, right, Rather than letting things take their course, Right.
- 25:02Speaker 2: And so homeopathy is just a gentle guiding of the symptom out of the body.
- 25:06Speaker 2: It's only taken when a symptom is stuck, and that's kind of the difference.
- 25:10Speaker 2: If the body is say you have the flu, your body is healing on its own.
- 25:14Speaker 2: The fever already broke.
- 25:15Speaker 2: There's no need for a remedy for that, Right.
- 25:18Speaker 1: But we feel like but I got to go to work, I got to take care of my kids, I got to, I got to, I got ready, like I've got all these things to do, I don't have.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Our work and our worth is tied to productivity and progress and performance.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Right and unfortunately, that's why the healing mechanism gets stuck.
- 25:44Speaker 2: It's suppressed, it's not as strong as it should be.
- 25:48Speaker 2: We're just not as sturdy and strong as we used to be, and that's why I think homeopathy is such a gift for these times is because you know there's a lot of fear right now about everything wrong with the world and everything that it's doing to our bodies.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You know, you scroll Instagram.
- 26:03Speaker 2: You're going to find oxalates are trying to kill you, emfs are trying to kill you, glyphosate, whatever.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Like you know, there's so much fear around our body that it's almost caused a trauma response to our own body and our own 100%, and finding homeopathy is the thing that ended health anxiety for me.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Exactly, I don't feel dependent on any particular doctor anymore.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I don't even feel dependent on you Like you are so helpful to me.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I probably am an anomaly, because I now own all the homeopathic books.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I've read all the things and you're passionate about it.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Makes sense, yeah, yeah, yeah, Um.
- 26:41Speaker 1: So fun fact for you and for the listeners, because I don't think I've said this to you yet in any of our appointments.
- 26:49Speaker 1: But so the first remedy you recommended to me definitely was an early trauma, early childhood trauma remedy.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Right, but the second remedy that you recommended not the third one I put myself on, but the second one you recommended, which I circled back to this week I've been dreaming about my ex so so isn't that so cool that in my in the first remedy it got at the really the older stuff.
- 27:18Speaker 1: But this second remedy has me processing my marriage and divorce from 10, 15, 20 years ago.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Dreaming last night, the night before, like this weeklee, I'm having dreams about my ex, and they're weird, isn't that fascinating.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I think that's cool and I find that clients really like to engage with that, with their dreams, during the process, because I just see it as a window into what the remedy is helping your subconscious to process out.
- 27:50Speaker 2: It kind of tells you you know what's happening in my body with this remedy, you know?
- 27:55Speaker 2: And it's like well, look at your dreams, what are you dreaming?
- 27:57Speaker 1: about.
- 27:57Speaker 1: What are you dreaming about?
- 27:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's helping just your body to kind of take any left of the emotional weight, that emotional intensity, draining it out and helping you to make peace, not to forget or even to have no emotion.
- 28:13Speaker 2: You know, the goal isn't to be a robot You're going to have emotion, You're going to process.
- 28:17Speaker 1: No, but it's anything that waits out of it.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yeah, if anything, I tolerate emotion easier now.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so let's talk a smidgey smidge about there are two different ways to use homeopathy.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Okay, right, because different ways to use homeopathy, and right because we've talked a little bit about both and that can be confusing, right?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Yeah, so the difference between acute homeopathy and constitutional care, yeah, so acute homeopathy.
- 28:43Speaker 2: You know, if you live by a natural grocery store like natural grocers or any co-op or anything you've probably seen homeopathic remedies on the shelf.
- 28:51Speaker 2: They're usually white with like a blue wrapper.
- 28:55Speaker 2: It's a Boyron Boyron is the brand, and you can buy those for allergies or for cuts or for a stomach flu, and so anything that's short in duration and pretty intense, that's an acute.
- 29:08Speaker 2: So it's something that's going to run its course whether or not you intervene.
- 29:12Speaker 2: It's not a chronic symptom, right, it hasn't lasted a long time.
- 29:15Speaker 2: It's something like a cold or a flu, a cut, a scrape, a bump, a bruise.
- 29:19Speaker 2: That's acute homeopathy.
- 29:21Speaker 1: So, for instance, because we were chatting just before, we hit record on this episode right.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I need to send you a picture of my cat's paw because, he got transitioned outside last month and in his paw he has an injury.
- 29:34Speaker 1: That would be an acute application.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And then I told you which remedies I selected and you were like you did it right and I'm a good girl.
- 29:40Speaker 1: But then I said and the reason he got transitioned outside is because when we would travel he would pee on everything.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so that would be a different type of homeopathic care.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Constitutional care right.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yes, and so I say acute care.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I think if you're going to dip your toe into homeopathy, it's a good place to start.
- 29:58Speaker 2: If you're not ready to dive into constitutional, which we'll talk about but a lot of homeopaths that I've studied from or people that I've known a lot of times, the first time they tried homeopathy was when their kid was sick and it wasn't progressing with antibiotics.
- 30:14Speaker 2: So, my mentor.
- 30:15Speaker 2: The first time he used homeopathy was his kid had a really bad ear infection.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I love this story.
- 30:20Speaker 2: And it wasn't getting better.
- 30:22Speaker 2: It just nothing was touching it and, mind you, he's a nurse.
- 30:26Speaker 1: So he knows everything to do.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Right.
- 30:28Speaker 2: And so his friend is like, oh, you should try homeopathy, and he's, like you know, brushed him off, still not getting better.
- 30:35Speaker 2: All right, fine, I'll try it, rolling his eyes all the way to the appointment.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Very, you know, medical minded person.
- 30:41Speaker 2: You know he went to Yale like.
- 30:42Speaker 2: He's like, oh my, word.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:44Speaker 2: So he's like rolling his eyes, but he tried to add a desperation Right.
- 30:49Speaker 2: So this homeopath is asking him all these weird questions.
- 30:53Speaker 2: How thirsty is he?
- 30:54Speaker 2: What are his fears?
- 30:55Speaker 2: And he's like, what is this guy doing?
- 30:57Speaker 2: Like, why is he asking all these questions?
- 30:59Speaker 2: Well, it's to match him to a remedy that's going to specifically, is going to specifically resonate with him.
- 31:05Speaker 2: So his experience of ear infection, you know, yes, there are classic ear infection symptoms, but the way that it presented for him called for a remedy called belladonna and so instantly his ear infection started to resolve.
- 31:20Speaker 2: It was very, very quick.
- 31:21Speaker 2: And what kind of blew away.
- 31:23Speaker 2: My mentor was that when he would examine the ear, there wasn't any inflammation left like a traditional, you know ear infection that he had seen.
- 31:31Speaker 2: With antibiotics, maybe the symptoms would go away, but the ear did not look normal for a while.
- 31:37Speaker 2: So that's what made him interested.
- 31:39Speaker 2: He's like how is this resolving like this?
- 31:42Speaker 2: I've never seen an ear infection heal like this.
- 31:46Speaker 2: But then he brushed it off as a coincidence but, then they were traveling, His son got another ear infection, took belladonna again and it happened again and he was like, okay, I need to learn homeopathy.
- 31:59Speaker 1: So in one of the books that I think I started reading cause you were reading it by Sankaran talks about we all have a song inside of us right Like a signature song that has a matching song in nature and that is constitutional care.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Right, it's.
- 32:19Speaker 1: The homeopath is like the bridge that's listening for the client's song.
- 32:25Speaker 1: How they see the world.
- 32:26Speaker 1: How they see the world.
- 32:27Speaker 1: How they experience the world.
- 32:28Speaker 1: How they experience stress in their body how they internalize that stress and then looking for their matching remedy.
- 32:36Speaker 1: That you know the tree bark treats malaria, right, but?
- 32:40Speaker 1: But there's so many things in the natural world and they've all not all so many of them have been tested and proven.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Right that there's these rich recordings of these symptoms and that we all have a match, a likeness in nature and soulmate remedy is what I call it Remedy.
- 32:56Speaker 1: There's such a poetry to homeopathy that I think it's.
- 33:00Speaker 1: There's such a spirituality, or like I'm a I'm just an eternal optimist that loves to see the evidence of God in the world.
- 33:07Speaker 2: right, but to me this is that Exactly, that's such a good way to put it, and I think that when you find homeopathy, life becomes so much more enriching.
- 33:17Speaker 2: At least, this is my bias, and my experience is that you're like you look around you, you go on a hike and you're like, wow, I bet all of these plants could help me in some way.
- 33:27Speaker 2: In some way Like it's just like everything that's been created is here to help us.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Right, and it's just.
- 33:34Speaker 2: You know, you?
- 33:35Speaker 2: You have friends everywhere, little, energetic friends everywhere, kind of you know yeah.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Yeah, there are there are remedies made from just like.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Name it right, whether it's minerals or plants or animals, or yes, yeah, or um, you know, poison ivy, like we said.
- 33:51Speaker 2: For example, if you have a bee sting, bee venom is a remedy for that.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Um, if you had teary watery eyes, um, the remedy made from onion oh, you know because it's called allium.
- 34:05Speaker 2: So something to know about homeopathy just to make it even more confusing is that it's all Latin, right, the names are all Latin.
- 34:11Speaker 2: So allium sepa is just onion, okay, okay, yeah, rust tox is poison ivy.
- 34:19Speaker 2: So you know, just keep that in mind.
- 34:24Speaker 2: If you're like looking things up, aconitite is aconite.
- 34:26Speaker 1: You know one of my favorites that I hear clients make fun of a lot, is Nux Vomica.
- 34:31Speaker 1: What's it's for?
- 34:33Speaker 1: For vomiting, right?
- 34:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I know it's kind of a perfect name, right?
- 34:37Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 34:38Speaker 1: So let's talk about how homeopathy can benefit somebody who's, you know, in the middle of a divorce.
- 34:44Speaker 1: There's obviously grief, right, but when you're getting divorced there's also anxiety and anger and exhaustion, and you know there's all these layers, obviously Um.
- 34:54Speaker 1: But if somebody um wanted to work with you, constitutionally, obviously they could do that.
- 34:59Speaker 1: But what if they're just looking for, like okay, I want to try this, I want to go to whole foods and I want to pick out some, you know, boyron or Oleos Is that how we say Oleos?
- 35:08Speaker 1: Is that it Pronounce it?
- 35:11Speaker 1: Where do I start for this big hairy problem and all these symptoms I'm experiencing today?
- 35:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 35:19Speaker 2: So I will say you know as much as I would love to say that I would love for people to experiment with that.
- 35:26Speaker 2: When it comes to something very emotional, I think it can be hard to dose yourself and to see yourself.
- 35:32Speaker 2: That's been my experience, even as a homeopath.
- 35:34Speaker 2: I have my own homeopath and it's because you know if you don't know how to take a remedy and how frequently to take it and the potency, you know it can just it can keep you a little out of whack.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Like, for example I'll give you an example an amazing, amazing acute grief remedy.
- 35:52Speaker 2: So say, somebody close to you passes away or you experience a really traumatic breakup and you have a lot of grief and you can't process the grief.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Something that you could reach for yourself is a remedy Ignatia you can do it in a 200 C potency.
- 36:05Speaker 2: That's kind of the strength of the remedy.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Something that you could reach for yourself is a remedy Ignatia you can do it in a 200 C potency.
- 36:08Speaker 2: That's kind of the strength of the remedy.
- 36:10Speaker 2: That's something that you would reach for.
- 36:11Speaker 2: And so you know, if you find yourself taking a couple of doses, really what you're looking for is just a little bit of more of a lightness.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Maybe you're still upset, maybe you're still sad, but you're not, you know, in the pain, Right.
- 36:27Speaker 2: So when I've taken Ignatia and this is the experimentation that I did where I took it too often and that's why I'm it's a cautionary tale, right.
- 36:34Speaker 2: I didn't understand homeopathy, so I took it like every single day.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Ignatia, that's what I would have done, and so that's the only reason I caution.
- 36:45Speaker 2: It's not because I don't want people to experiment.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I'm just learned from my story, right.
- 36:48Speaker 2: So I took it every single day and basically it's just too much of a healing stimulus, right.
- 36:54Speaker 2: So I was like sobbing.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I was at a concert, we're having a great time.
- 36:58Speaker 2: All of a sudden I'm like I have to leave.
- 37:00Speaker 2: I'm like sobbing because it releases the emotions, right.
- 37:06Speaker 2: And so I just took it a little bit too many times.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Um, it's not to be afraid of homeopathy.
- 37:11Speaker 2: It can't harm you, it will process it out faster, right.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, so so, yeah, this is a great story because, because I think one of the hardest things for me with homeopathy right Is taking my will back from you um is wanting to go faster, wanting, wanting more progress faster, and then that leads to taking too much.
- 37:36Speaker 1: And with homeopathy, less is more, less is more in our culture.
- 37:41Speaker 1: We don't.
- 37:41Speaker 1: We're not in a less is more culture, right, and it's hard to believe that.
- 37:46Speaker 1: So, kaylee, you're telling me that five pellets of one remedy uh, that doesn't even have technically any of the material and it only has the energy signature of the material on this little sugar pellet can really help my pain feel bearable, like yes.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:01Speaker 1: And if it didn't work, it's not because homeopathy doesn't work, it's because it wasn't.
- 38:05Speaker 2: It wasn't well paired, it wasn't a match or you didn't select the right potency and frequency.
- 38:10Speaker 2: So that's the three things it's like.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Is it a match?
- 38:14Speaker 2: Does it fit your mental and physical symptoms?
- 38:16Speaker 2: Is it a potency match?
- 38:19Speaker 2: So like 30 C we would say is for physical, 200 C for emotional and physical, one M is like going further back, like it's a very, very deep-rooted pathology.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Some people don't need that high of a potency, some people do I don't know those people.
- 38:36Speaker 2: I don't know the people that don't need 1m yeah, um, you'd be surprised the work you can get done with a simple 200c, a couple, couple doses, cause I think the fundamental misunderstanding people get when they want to take it every day or take it, take it, take it, is that homeopathy, again, it's just assisting your body's healing mechanism.
- 38:56Speaker 2: So if you keep sending the same text message, the body's just going to be like ignore, ignore, ignore, like you already got the signal.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Why do you keep sending it?
- 39:03Speaker 2: You know really only need to take it again If there's.
- 39:07Speaker 2: You know, if your body, if you feel like you're moving backward, yeah, yeah, you're no longer if there's forward movement, we let the body take care of it and that's why you know there are.
- 39:18Speaker 2: There's better results in homeopathy than what I've experienced, cause you know I didn't get into this but I did all the things for like the entirety of my twenties because I was chronically ill the forcing, the pushing, the constant detox, the constant supplements.
- 39:34Speaker 2: It may feel like you're doing more and it's like the illusion that you're going to get there faster, but I promise you you're not.
- 39:41Speaker 2: The slow and steady weights like, right, the tortoise and the hare, the tortoise and the hare.
- 39:48Speaker 1: That's exactly defines homeopathy.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Yes, and it's not that all those things don't have their uses, right.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I still drink green juice a lot of mornings.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Of course you take care of yourself.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I still have done a liver detox since, doing homeopathy Right, but it's like without homeopathy you have to keep doing these things right Versus my body now is going to be able to maintenance my liver on its own, because now it's it's optimized.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say, you know, for people who struggle with chronic illness, I think they'll understand like the experience of going and getting the testing done and getting the pile of supplements and the restrictions and it just seems never ending.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Where it's like kind of like whack-a-mole is what I call it where it's like you deal with one thing, another thing pops up.
- 40:36Speaker 2: You deal with that.
- 40:37Speaker 2: It's like, oh well, what if it's the mold, what if it's this, what if it's that?
- 40:40Speaker 2: There's a lot of grasping and fear and pushing and forcing.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Where it's like with homeopathy, it's just so much gentler of a process and if you feel called to some liver tincture or called to this, it's not in the same like overly masculine, like overly pushing way, forcing.
- 40:59Speaker 2: It's like, no, I'm listening to my body Like I think it could use some burdock root for my liver, listening to my body like I think it could use some burdock root for my liver, or you know, it's not like this, like piling on and forcing energy, and that's the difference.
- 41:14Speaker 1: I hope that makes sense.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Yeah, let's, let's talk for a minute about how every thing that our listeners do like make sense giving given their constitution constitution.
- 41:26Speaker 1: So what do I mean by that?
- 41:28Speaker 1: So like loves?
- 41:30Speaker 1: Um, if you tend to love your wine, or scrolling instagram, or you like a particular type of um fitness, or you have a certain craving for food, or you like everything we do, kaylee makes sense in the context of homeopathy, like I wish I could show each of you in the materia medica, the book that Kaylee uses to prescribe remedies.
- 41:54Speaker 1: That like everything about our listener right now, she is pure magic and those symptoms are are talking to us, right?
- 42:03Speaker 1: You have this quote on your website.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Are are talking to us, right?
- 42:07Speaker 1: You have this quote on your website.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I'm going to read it for a moment.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Um, I believe.
- 42:09Speaker 1: I believe that true healing begins when people do the work to decode the language of their body.
- 42:14Speaker 1: The body is always communicating to us through symptoms, sensations and emotions that ultimately dictate our human experience.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Through tuning into, that body is trying to tell us we can course correct and get back to living authentically.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Yeah, so beautiful, so like you know whether or not I'm thirsty all the time, or whether or not I like this Peloton instructor or that Peloton instructor.
- 42:34Speaker 1: I mean, not everything right is a symptom.
- 42:37Speaker 1: But so much of our day-to-day living we don't realize our sleep habits, our fitness habits, our food habits.
- 42:45Speaker 2: It's kind of compensating for a state that we're in right.
- 42:49Speaker 2: So let me take you know one of my favorite remedies, well-loved remedies.
- 42:52Speaker 2: You'll know this remedy.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Let's take the sepia woman profile and walk through about that.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Yes.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:58Speaker 2: So the sepia state in homeopathy is somebody who's just burnt out.
- 43:03Speaker 2: They need space.
- 43:04Speaker 2: They don't feel like they're getting enough help in their life.
- 43:07Speaker 2: So what happens?
- 43:09Speaker 2: When they feel like they're unsupported, they're not getting enough help, they get irritable right.
- 43:13Speaker 2: It's a natural response to not feeling supported and feeling like they have taken on too much.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Often in sepia they feel stuck, and so that stuck feeling is mirrored in the physical symptoms, because one of the keynote physical symptoms of sepia is stagnation at all levels.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Stagnation, poor circulation.
- 43:35Speaker 2: There's problems with their flow, with their period.
- 43:38Speaker 2: You know it's clotting, heavy, there's cramping, there's PMS like headaches everything like that and so so there's stagnation, there's a sluggish, lethargic feeling in sepia that manifests through emotions, like you know, not feeling motivated.
- 43:54Speaker 2: But do they crave?
- 43:56Speaker 2: They crave exercise because there's a sluggishness at the physical level, even if they're not perceiving it unconsciously they're trying to make up for that sluggishness, which is what why they're attracted to cardio or Peloton classes, like you were saying or things like that, and so it all makes sense.
- 44:15Speaker 2: It's all connected and what I will say is that you know it's a remedy that I give a lot.
- 44:21Speaker 2: It's a very common remedy.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Um, and the sepia state of that kind of like you know, frustrated, irritation, feeling stuck, it happens earlier in life, but it tends to become a lot more obvious in motherhood because it just really activates that inner feeling.
- 44:38Speaker 2: There's nothing more challenging and demanding than motherhood right Than producing an entire human.
- 44:43Speaker 1: that's incredibly dependent upon you.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Yes, yes, and so that can cause one to feel stuck or like, oh my gosh, I need my space, but I can't have it.
- 44:51Speaker 2: And so that's usually when the the woman will come to see me is after their first child, because they're like, okay, I need help.
- 44:59Speaker 2: I don't want to lash out at my kid I know this isn't me as a mom Like I just need help.
- 45:03Speaker 2: And with the remedy, you know, by their first check in they're like, wow, you know, usually my kid does this and it pushes my buttons and it makes me beautiful.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I just feel more peace, like I can just let them be and it doesn't, just doesn't bother me, I don't know what's happening.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Or or, like you know, I was waiting in traffic this morning and I wasn't annoyed by it, I didn't feel like.
- 45:24Speaker 2: I was in a hurry and then they'll report wow, this period was so much easier.
- 45:29Speaker 2: I have less PMS, I have less cravings.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Craving for alcohol is big in sepia.
- 45:35Speaker 2: I have less because, again, it's to manage the stress.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Like you're saying, it all makes sense.
- 45:40Speaker 2: And so when you have, say you're listening and you feel like guilty as a mom because you're irritable or or you want that glass of wine at night, there's nothing to feel guilty about.
- 45:51Speaker 2: It's just a compensation for a state.
- 45:53Speaker 2: That's very difficult and challenging and painful and our society isn't set up for moms.
- 45:58Speaker 2: You know we don't have that communal thing that we used to have, where everyone you know in the tribe or what have you, would help support you.
- 46:07Speaker 2: You know our society doesn't support women in that way anymore and that's why there's so many people who need sepia.
- 46:13Speaker 2: It's really a product of the environment and so we can help the best we can with with sepia and it brings immense peace and I find that women who take this remedy they end up, you know, maybe they felt guilty about it, asking their husband you know, to help with the dishes or whatever.
- 46:31Speaker 2: All of a sudden they're like no I, these are my needs.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I need to meet Matt.
- 46:36Speaker 1: That's what happened to me with sepia.
- 46:38Speaker 1: It's so fascinating.
- 46:40Speaker 2: So, so.
- 46:41Speaker 1: So sepia, let's be clear, Kaylee did not recommend it for me, but I I took too much of the one she recommended before that.
- 46:49Speaker 1: And then, but what was I doing?
- 46:52Speaker 1: We were on a cruise and I said I'm not going to ride the elevators, I'm only going to take the stairs Right.
- 46:57Speaker 1: So that movement, that craving, that movement.
- 46:59Speaker 1: And then and then, when I took sepia, what what ended up happening was I got very mad at my husband and I yelled I was setting a boundary right.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I was saying like no, I need your support in this way, and I could see that as oh, isn't that interesting.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I took a remedy and what happened is I set a boundary.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Yes, you expressed what was kind of simmering under the surface, and that's what I find is that you know it's hard to access what's simmering under the surface.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Sometimes we don't even know what we need Right, and there's something about a remedy that puts us more in touch with those needs, which is also contributing to the end result of better physical health.
- 47:39Speaker 2: All of a sudden, we are more in tune with our natural cravings, we're more in tune with the movement we need, and there's just this natural motivation to care for ourselves.
- 47:50Speaker 2: There's heightened intuition, there's just, you know, and sometimes at first it is that fight that needs to happen, like some of the best things happen after a fight that needed to happen.
- 48:01Speaker 2: There's nothing wrong with that conflict and it's setting you up for future harmony right.
- 48:07Speaker 2: When you push that under the rug, those unspoken things, those resentments, that's when pathology in a relationship will happen, right or in the body.
- 48:16Speaker 1: I think that when I think about having these little, these little, you know, small blowups in relationships, I think of how law of attraction I hear that as path of least resistance right, sometimes we have to have a little thing happen to clear it out, to get clarity, to have boundary setting, to have that full expression, and that's the path of least resistance to harmony moving forward.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Yeah, conflict is, as long as it's not harmful, right.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Conflict is part of a process.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Yeah, right, yeah, it's like conscious conflict, right, yeah, it's like there's going to yeah, it's like there's there's going to be a betterment of the relationship on the other side.
- 48:55Speaker 2: It's not naming or blaming or shaming, it's.
- 48:57Speaker 2: It's like.
- 48:58Speaker 2: This is how I'm feeling and you know, I think that people can be I'm sure you see this in your practice, dawn people are afraid of anger or afraid of crying, or afraid of like, oh my God, this means something's wrong.
- 49:10Speaker 2: It's like, no, you're getting to the other side of something that's been simmering inside you and making you feel like crap.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:23Speaker 2: So that's yeah, I just it's.
- 49:23Speaker 2: It's incredible how it just helps to free up.
- 49:24Speaker 2: And that's what I mean when homeopathy is unblocking whatever is blocking the healing.
- 49:27Speaker 2: It's bringing up everything that's been suppressed in a way that feels just so cathartic.
- 49:32Speaker 2: It's not just like you know, weeping on and on and on.
- 49:37Speaker 2: It's like, no, I just had the best cry of my life and I feel like I actually moved through and process the emotions.
- 49:43Speaker 1: You know, my daughter.
- 49:44Speaker 1: We were at the beach a couple of weeks ago I wonder if I told you this story already but we were at the beach and she got tossed by a wave, so she ended up with a scratch across her eye, right, and it really frightened her.
- 49:55Speaker 1: And, um, you know, I had her shake it off and of course we were at the beach and her cousins were there and whatever.
- 50:01Speaker 1: And a couple of nights later, when she was going to sleep in her room by herself because her cousins had gone home, she couldn't sleep, and so I gave her a few things sleep.
- 50:16Speaker 1: And so I gave her a few things probably Ignatia, right, because she was restless she couldn't sleep Maybe chamomile, maybe one other thing, and I thought, oh, she'll just calm down and fall asleep now, because that's what you think, right, I still think a little bit suppressively, allopathically, right, I'm going to give her this remedy and it's going to create this calmness.
- 50:33Speaker 1: But so I gave her a couple of remedies and put her back to bed and then, before you know it, she was out even more distressed.
- 50:42Speaker 1: And then, as we were talking here, came this well of tears about her fear that she was going to die when that wave smashed her face into the ground Right, and after she had that good cry she was like, okay, I'm good, right, and that's what happened.
- 51:00Speaker 1: There was this stuck emotion and the remedy didn't make it go away.
- 51:05Speaker 1: The remedy made it possible for her to get it out.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Yes, exactly, Exactly.
- 51:10Speaker 2: And I will say, you know, there's one remedy that I would well, two remedies that I would always carry with me.
- 51:16Speaker 2: One would be aconitin for shock.
- 51:19Speaker 1: That's probably the third one.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, things that they're like you know, oh my gosh, I can't believe that just happened to me.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Like give them a dose of aconitin.
- 51:27Speaker 2: It helps so much.
- 51:28Speaker 2: I had an injury recently and I was so happy that I had that in the car because it just really calms that fight or flight.
- 51:36Speaker 2: So you can kind of think clearly of like, okay, what can I do next?
- 51:38Speaker 2: Mom can even take it too.
- 51:41Speaker 1: So if I was going to say so, if I've got to go do kid exchange with my co-parent, with my ex, or if I've got to go to court, or if I've got to right, would those?
- 51:51Speaker 2: be go to court or if I've got a right, would those be so aconitum?
- 51:56Speaker 2: Think of it as that totally blindsiding wave.
- 51:57Speaker 2: It's something completely shocking and traumatizing, like a car accident, or I would say.
- 52:02Speaker 2: For something like that the remedy will depend.
- 52:05Speaker 2: But I really like using First Aid Kit by Alexis Smart.
- 52:08Speaker 2: It's a flower essence blend that takes you out of that acute stress response just in a way.
- 52:14Speaker 2: That's.
- 52:14Speaker 2: You know, oh, it's not like that acute shock, it wouldn't be a match for that but just helps you access, you know, I would say more of your higher self, because you know, the emotion that you know.
- 52:27Speaker 2: It helps the blood go back to your frontal cortex.
- 52:30Speaker 1: They actually think clearly yes, and so the other thing that I'm learning about homeopathy is okay.
- 52:35Speaker 1: So let's say we're walking this really stressful path in life, because that's what living means.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Sometimes we're walking stressful paths, but I'm learning that when I dose myself or my family for acute symptoms, for a current issue, it keeps it from getting stuck and progressing into something chronic.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Yes, and that's actually why you know I really love seeing families is because when I treat kids you know if you get it early then they're going to have so much less illness when they get older because they didn't suppress that.
- 53:07Speaker 2: For example, like, say you have seasonal allergies, you're always suppressing them with you know Claritin.
- 53:12Speaker 2: Or say you have seasonal allergies, you're always suppressing them with you know Claritin.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Or say you have um colds and coughs and flus, and you're always just like suppressing them with medication.
- 53:20Speaker 2: There's a time and a place for that, for sure.
- 53:21Speaker 2: But if you move through it with homeopathy, believe it or not, it's those acute illnesses that actually become chronic illness If you suppress them.
- 53:30Speaker 1: I mean it's wild, because what you just said and I know what you're saying, but what you just said in essence is saying, like the majority of Western medicine is harming us, not helping us, yes, and you know there's making us sicker.
- 53:46Speaker 2: It is.
- 53:46Speaker 2: It is in the everyday ailments, right?
- 53:49Speaker 2: So it's like if you don't have to take a medication, don't do it, because usually one medication means another medication to manage the side effects of that medication.
- 54:00Speaker 2: And it's a never ending story and it's it's not going to lead you to you know what we would call it.
- 54:08Speaker 2: We can't say it's curative, that's I'm not allowed to say that but through the healing you know, and to not have the symptoms anymore, it's worth the process of really uprooting it at the root with homeopathy you know any modality that's not suppressive in that nature.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Because I just see the vibrancy and how amazing kids are that are treated with homeopathy and it's like wow, I can't wait to see what they're like as a teenager, what they're like as an adult.
- 54:34Speaker 2: They just have so much more freedom.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Because that's ultimately my goal is for my clients to feel free.
- 54:41Speaker 2: I want them to have freedom of expression, freedom to pursue their gifts, freedom to do what they actually came here to do.
- 54:47Speaker 2: And illness is just that kind of you know it's that thing that's.
- 54:51Speaker 2: It's ultimately a distraction, but it's something that if you move through it, you can mine so many gifts and wisdom from it on the other side and you know you can get to where you're ultimately your soul's purpose is.
- 55:05Speaker 1: So beautifully said and and in my experience, faster than any other tool I've ever used.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's, it's amazing.
- 55:13Speaker 2: It's like I kind of always say I've been thinking about this a lot recently.
- 55:16Speaker 2: It's like if you're drawn to, say, the chiropractor or acupuncture or whatever, it's like do any modality you are drawn to, even if that's Western medicine, but don't do it without homeopathy.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 55:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 55:30Speaker 1: I wouldn't't like homeopathy.
- 55:32Speaker 1: It's miraculous, right, it is miraculous to me, it is evidence of God.
- 55:35Speaker 1: But I also have coaches and go to the chiropractor and right, like I don't not use the tools that I advocate for in my therapy practice or in my own history, right, I use all those tools but, like you mentioned earlier's, like it's easier to use them.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I get a deeper resolution from them I maybe don't have to use them as often.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Right yeah.
- 55:57Speaker 1: It's, it's balance, it's all in balance, yeah Right.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Whereas like before, like you know, when I had I have a history of like a lot of panic attacks, anxiety, that was like I you know, chronic stuff, and it was like if I didn't stick to my nervous system health routine, exactly.
- 56:14Speaker 1: You know what I mean Exactly, it didn't feel free yeah.
- 56:17Speaker 1: It didn't feel like my choice.
- 56:19Speaker 2: It felt like I was kind of chained to it.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Had to or you couldn't function.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Now I do some of it, probably 50% of it, because it feels good and it's nourishing my soul.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I love connecting in with meditation, I love journaling, I love talking things out as enhancements rather than survival.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Exactly and trying to fix, always trying to fix.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Yes, those tools have all become enhancements to the way we live rather than tools for survival.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Yes, so good.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Kaylee, so good.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Okay, we could talk for forever.
- 56:48Speaker 1: We probably need to have you back one day, because we mentioned that we can use homeopathy to treat the cat, but like that's even a whole nother ball of wax, right?
- 56:56Speaker 2: I feel like I didn't even explain constitutional homeopathy, so I hope they understand I do have.
- 57:01Speaker 2: I have a write-up on it on my website as well.
- 57:03Speaker 1: That's probably we'll put all your contact information in the show notes and, um, maybe throw some links, uh, to some of the remedies we discussed so well, you know, but if we've just sparked, right, if we've just sparked for you to like, go find, we'll put some people for you to follow on the gram because it's just right, like if we've just sparked something today, that is everything.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Yes, exactly, it's a new rabbit hole to go down and I hope that you do and just start with what feels good.
- 57:29Speaker 2: You know, if you want to get like a book for acute home prescribing for your kids cold, get the Miranda Castro book, the homeopathy handbook.
- 57:39Speaker 2: That's a great place to start.
- 57:40Speaker 2: Just kind of dip your toe in and see what homeopathy can do.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Yes, love it.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Kaylee, thank you so much for treating me with such care.
- 57:50Speaker 1: I know how passionate you are about your clients and how much time and energy you put into thinking about us and our lives.
- 57:59Speaker 1: I know that you are so just deeply passionate about the transformations your clients receive, so thank you so much for being that in my life.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Thank you, I feel emotional and thank you for being here for our listeners and just sharing your heart and your passion because it changes lives.
- 58:13Speaker 1: And thank you for being here for our listeners and just sharing your heart and your passion because it changes lives.
- 58:16Speaker 1: And I know you know that and I know that's the rewarding part of what you do, what we do as healers yeah, yeah Well, thank you for spreading homeopathy and for doing what you do.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I just think it's amazing.
- 58:28Speaker 2: So.
- 58:31Speaker 1: Yay, love fest.
- 58:32Speaker 1: All right, loves.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Thanks for tuning in.
- 58:33Speaker 1: If you have questions, send me DMs, send Kaylee DMs, like all the things we want to hear from you.
- 58:38Speaker 1: We want to, we want to chat.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Yeah, peace, all right, thank you, dear.
