- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. We are
- 0:09Speaker 2: here today with someone who's been in the headlines a
- 0:12Speaker 2: lot this week. It is one of our former Bachelor producers,
- 0:16Speaker 2: Julie LaPlaca. My babysitter called out just an hour before
- 0:21Speaker 2: Julie arrives. So if you hear Dawson blabbering in the
- 0:23Speaker 2: background of this podcast, now you know why.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Hey Julie, she's here in the kitchen with me.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Dawson is sitting here ready with tissues for her because
- 0:33Speaker 2: it's been an emotional week. I'm sure. I mean, you've
- 0:36Speaker 2: never had headlines like this before, and like your first
- 0:39Speaker 2: bout with headlines right kind of controversial. Yeah, how's your week?
- 0:44Speaker 3: Ben?
- 0:45Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been a really interesting week. How has it been? Honestly,
- 0:51Speaker 4: I guess it's a little hurtful that you know, both
- 0:55Speaker 4: of these men I offer to let read the book
- 0:57Speaker 4: and both of them ghosted me and are forming their
- 1:00Speaker 4: own opinions now without like understanding my heart and what
- 1:04Speaker 4: I put into it. So, yeah, it's been a little interesting.
- 1:09Speaker 4: It's really interesting to see the power of a man
- 1:12Speaker 4: with a mic and the assumptions people formed just stuff
- 1:16Speaker 4: of one person's words. So yeah, it's been interesting, but
- 1:21Speaker 4: you know, he's also entitled to his opinion.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Hey, let's be clear, which what are we talking about now,
- 1:25Speaker 2: Nick or Peter?
- 1:26Speaker 4: Oh, I guess I'm talking kind of putting them both
- 1:29Speaker 4: in together.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Both of them are offer copies of.
- 1:31Speaker 4: The book, and both of them ended up like stopped
- 1:34Speaker 4: responding to me, So neither of them ended up actually
- 1:37Speaker 4: reading the book.
- 1:38Speaker 2: All right, so I'm a little I'm a little interested
- 1:41Speaker 2: in Ben's here too. Of course Ben's via zoom right now.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Now she's referring to Nick viol and Peter Webber, who
- 1:48Speaker 2: she was the producer of. We should also probably just
- 1:51Speaker 2: backtrack a second. Julie has a new book out. It
- 1:54Speaker 2: is called The Love Producer, and in it you entail
- 1:59Speaker 2: about your life as aler producer before after the show,
- 2:02Speaker 2: what led you to the show, how you separate yourself
- 2:05Speaker 2: from the show, And the most dramatic, which is getting headlines,
- 2:08Speaker 2: is the fact that you had a romance of sorts
- 2:12Speaker 2: with Peter and maybe a crush, maybe more a situationship.
- 2:18Speaker 2: That is definitely for sure. Yeah, and you're referring to
- 2:22Speaker 2: the fact that Nick has been out there this week
- 2:24Speaker 2: saying that you it was all very inappropriate. So let's
- 2:28Speaker 2: get into that. Well, we'll dive into all of this,
- 2:30Speaker 2: but Ben, I want, I want to let you have
- 2:32Speaker 2: a moment first.
- 2:33Speaker 5: I mean, I think there's just a lot of questions.
- 2:35Speaker 5: The book is a project of yours, Julie, that you
- 2:37Speaker 5: came out with. I think I think we need to
- 2:39Speaker 5: set the stage a little bit.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Julie.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You're a producer on The Bachelor Bachelor att for how
- 2:44Speaker 5: many years?
- 2:44Speaker 4: I was there for seven years? From Andy Dorfmann season
- 2:47Speaker 4: through Matt James. I started on the date side and
- 2:50Speaker 4: then I switched to being with the Leeds Hannah Brown season.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Okay, Julie, I think we have to have this conversation
- 2:58Speaker 5: leading off the headlines. I actually think it will be
- 2:59Speaker 5: help full for everybody involved. Maybe Meg Peter, I'm sure
- 3:03Speaker 5: they're going to listen to it. Maybe you did when
- 3:06Speaker 5: you wrote this book. They haven't read this book, so
- 3:10Speaker 5: there is still some like hearsay, and there's still some unknowns.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Did you expect Peter especially to be upset with the
- 3:24Speaker 5: book once it came out and once people started talking
- 3:26Speaker 5: about it, like was this something or you're shocked by,
- 3:29Speaker 5: surprised by or did you expect it?
- 3:31Speaker 6: Oh?
- 3:31Speaker 4: No, I'm not shocked. I you know, there's a reason
- 3:34Speaker 4: why it's coming out six years later. I really had to,
- 3:40Speaker 4: you know, after I left the show, I dealt with
- 3:42Speaker 4: a lot of shame around what happened. I on two fronts, right,
- 3:48Speaker 4: there was the element of feeling like I feeled like
- 3:51Speaker 4: a producer and also feeling like it also triggered a
- 3:54Speaker 4: lot of wounds from past men and relationships with lock
- 3:59Speaker 4: their for that, so I really went through I mean,
- 4:02Speaker 4: on a spiritual level, what you would call the dark
- 4:04Speaker 4: Knight of the soul. We're actually like you know, when
- 4:09Speaker 4: your whole like identity is stripped from you and you're
- 4:11Speaker 4: kind of left with nothing. And so it was it
- 4:14Speaker 4: was a really hard time for me after I left
- 4:16Speaker 4: the show, and I had to confront a lot of
- 4:19Speaker 4: my own like inner wounds and really who I am
- 4:22Speaker 4: on a soul level. And yeah, I think Peter was
- 4:28Speaker 4: probably the catalyst for me leaving something that actually no
- 4:31Speaker 4: longer aligned with who I am and you know my
- 4:37Speaker 4: values and so yeah, so I understand, I get it,
- 4:41Speaker 4: and also like for me to heal and for like
- 4:45Speaker 4: the work I'm doing now is important for me to
- 4:47Speaker 4: share my truth. I think like, when you hold shame inside,
- 4:50Speaker 4: it's not a great place to be. And when you
- 4:52Speaker 4: could work through that shame and release it and speak
- 4:54Speaker 4: it out loud, there's something really freeing about that.
- 4:58Speaker 2: The crux of it was that you kind of realized
- 5:02Speaker 2: that you were creating love stories for other people, and
- 5:04Speaker 2: you were like so entrenched in those stories and producing them,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and then you were realizing that you weren't producing your
- 5:10Speaker 2: own love story, which is something that you desperately wanted.
- 5:12Speaker 2: You were always like a hopeless romantic and very much
- 5:15Speaker 2: like a me growing up with the Disney and the
- 5:19Speaker 2: boy bands and all that stuff. We've always related on that,
- 5:22Speaker 2: and you just imagined that great romance for yourself and
- 5:26Speaker 2: then you're like, oh my gosh, I'm like mid thirties
- 5:28Speaker 2: and I'm not having this at all.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it's really hard when you, yeah, when you're giving
- 5:35Speaker 4: your whole life to other people's love stories. And you know,
- 5:40Speaker 4: I was sitting there asking these deep, vulnerable questions to
- 5:43Speaker 4: cast members, and I realized I never like turned the
- 5:45Speaker 4: lens inward on myself. You get, I mean, so many
- 5:47Speaker 4: people get in sort of this like hypnotic state in
- 5:49Speaker 4: life and you just go, go, go, go go, and
- 5:52Speaker 4: suddenly it's like it's actually when COVID when we were
- 5:54Speaker 4: forced to kind of pause, and it forced me to
- 5:57Speaker 4: finally like sit in my own thoughts and reflect on
- 6:00Speaker 4: who I am and what I want out of life.
- 6:02Speaker 4: And it was like, yeah, I've been I have been
- 6:05Speaker 4: neglecting my own heart. So I had I had to
- 6:09Speaker 4: leave to reconnect with that.
- 6:11Speaker 6: The book is out and obviously the headlines this week.
- 6:15Speaker 6: I believe Nick I don't.
- 6:17Speaker 5: I don't want to put words in his mouth, but
- 6:19Speaker 5: I think he said on his show that this was grooming.
- 6:24Speaker 5: What like that you're writing a book about the experience,
- 6:27Speaker 5: But really what the story is is it's it would
- 6:30Speaker 5: be defined by grooming because you were working for a show,
- 6:32Speaker 5: you were a lead producer. Peter was you know, susceptible
- 6:37Speaker 5: because he was open to love at the time. Do
- 6:41Speaker 5: you viewed as grooming and if not, why not? And
- 6:43Speaker 5: if so, how do you feel about that being defined
- 6:47Speaker 5: as you know, this experience?
- 6:49Speaker 4: Uh No, I don't believe I was grooming Peter. In fact,
- 6:54Speaker 4: when we were filming, like nothing happened and I was
- 6:57Speaker 4: when we were filming and I was his producer. I
- 7:01Speaker 4: am very much focused in my job and the role,
- 7:04Speaker 4: and I cared about Peter. I saw him as a
- 7:06Speaker 4: really nice, nice guy, and I, you know, compared coming
- 7:11Speaker 4: off of a season where I had a hard time
- 7:12Speaker 4: with the lead, Peter was just like it felt like family,
- 7:15Speaker 4: felt like best friends. And even my chapter, in my
- 7:19Speaker 4: chapter about the season, that's all very reflective looking back now,
- 7:23Speaker 4: where I realized, oh, there are these moments where why
- 7:27Speaker 4: did that upset me? When he you know, when he
- 7:29Speaker 4: got upset with me, Why did that affect me so much?
- 7:31Speaker 4: I should be glad he wanted time away from me,
- 7:33Speaker 4: even like the moments like actually during the season is
- 7:37Speaker 4: more reflective looking back, But when we were in the season,
- 7:40Speaker 4: when we were filming, I was very much in producer mode. Now,
- 7:44Speaker 4: of course, you know, part of her job is to
- 7:47Speaker 4: get close with them, and for me, I think I can't.
- 7:51Speaker 4: I can't fake Like I realized, I'm not like a
- 7:53Speaker 4: person who could like fake connection and so but with
- 7:58Speaker 4: him it became very easy because we connected really well.
- 8:00Speaker 4: But I'd be curious your thoughts.
- 8:03Speaker 2: You are a former lead too, so you can speak
- 8:05Speaker 2: to it from similar perspective as Nick.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Yeah, no, I guess I could.
- 8:09Speaker 5: I think one clarifying thing that needs to be spoken
- 8:11Speaker 5: about here is this whole book is not to tell
- 8:13Speaker 5: all about your relationship with Peter, just to be clear.
- 8:16Speaker 5: And I think that's right now kind of without reading it,
- 8:20Speaker 5: the narrative that would be assumed would be, hey, this
- 8:23Speaker 5: is twenty two chapters on a romantic relationship with the
- 8:28Speaker 5: lead from the show. That is not the case, and so,
- 8:31Speaker 5: you know, I do think that would be an important
- 8:33Speaker 5: to kind of give a picture of what exactly is
- 8:36Speaker 5: being talked about in the book, why is the book
- 8:38Speaker 5: coming out, and those things. It is a lot of
- 8:40Speaker 5: your journey to healing, you know, getting back out into
- 8:44Speaker 5: the world feeling prepared. You know, Ashley knows this, and
- 8:48Speaker 5: I think some would disagree and some would agree. I'm
- 8:51Speaker 5: sure there'd be people out there that can make a
- 8:53Speaker 5: strong argument that nobody in a leadership role of somebody else,
- 8:58Speaker 5: you know, that does leave some susceptible to this. I'm
- 9:01Speaker 5: also in the just I think maybe just where I'm
- 9:04Speaker 5: from is as an adult, you make your own decisions,
- 9:08Speaker 5: and I do think this can get messy, The lines
- 9:12Speaker 5: can get blurred in this environment. I think it was
- 9:16Speaker 5: an unfortunate scenario, is how I would say. I don't
- 9:18Speaker 5: think grooming would be. I think that's like a very
- 9:20Speaker 5: like that'd be like going on the far end of it,
- 9:22Speaker 5: being like, hey, you were prepping and planning the whole
- 9:25Speaker 5: time to someday, you know, make him fall in love
- 9:28Speaker 5: with you, and all these things that you were doing
- 9:30Speaker 5: along the bachelor journey where to lead him away from
- 9:33Speaker 5: all the women that were there.
- 9:34Speaker 6: I don't believe that to be the case. I know you.
- 9:36Speaker 5: I don't think that's some like big scheme that you
- 9:39Speaker 5: had and some brilliant, you know, idea. But I can
- 9:43Speaker 5: see where this could be viewed, or at least if
- 9:47Speaker 5: I was in your position and maybe in Peter's position,
- 9:49Speaker 5: where I'd say this was an unfortunate scenario that happened
- 9:52Speaker 5: in an environment that we were both pulling everything we
- 9:58Speaker 5: could to fall in love during and as a result,
- 10:02Speaker 5: I would say, yeah, I was a mistake. So I
- 10:04Speaker 5: guess that would be my question back is today, as
- 10:07Speaker 5: you sit there, do you see this as a mistake
- 10:11Speaker 5: and do you think Peter sees it as a mistake?
- 10:14Speaker 6: You know, kind of where it got to with you too?
- 10:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't like to think anything's a mistake because
- 10:22Speaker 4: I now from a higher perspective, understand why it happened.
- 10:26Speaker 4: And it really was to push me out of a
- 10:29Speaker 4: show that no longer aligned with who I was, and
- 10:32Speaker 4: really was the catalyst for me to like understand my
- 10:36Speaker 4: wounds and my triggers with men. So I'm actually now
- 10:39Speaker 4: like grateful it happened.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Was it right?
- 10:42Speaker 4: No, I understand it wasn't like right from you know,
- 10:46Speaker 4: from you know, a professional standpoint. Yeah, that's why I left.
- 10:50Speaker 4: That's why I dealt with a lot of shame. That's
- 10:51Speaker 4: why I like stayed hidden for years. Quite literally, I
- 10:55Speaker 4: had to like do a lot of healing. So it was,
- 10:58Speaker 4: it was, it was really difficult. But I don't think
- 11:01Speaker 4: anything's a mistake. I think I was actually divinely guided.
- 11:03Speaker 4: I think, you know, my book's about my journey for love,
- 11:07Speaker 4: but on a deeper journey. It was a spiritual journey
- 11:09Speaker 4: back to my connection with God and like the unconditional
- 11:12Speaker 4: love that is available to us all. And so I'm
- 11:15Speaker 4: super grateful for what people may call a mistake because
- 11:18Speaker 4: it's what led me here. Now, you know, you talk
- 11:21Speaker 4: about the environment we're in and again, I didn't even
- 11:25Speaker 4: admit to myself I was actually developing feelings until after
- 11:29Speaker 4: the first round of headlines came out right all of
- 11:32Speaker 4: a sudden.
- 11:34Speaker 2: The headlines during your season when you're there on New
- 11:37Speaker 2: Year's Eve with him and people are like, oh my gosh,
- 11:39Speaker 2: they look cute and flirty.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Yeah, So, you know, timeline wise, when we were filming
- 11:44Speaker 4: full producer mode, no actual thoughts of like, oh, I'm
- 11:49Speaker 4: falling for this guy. It was more again and reflective
- 11:52Speaker 4: as I was looking back about these moments. But then
- 11:55Speaker 4: you know, he broke up with Hannah Anne and January
- 11:58Speaker 4: and the show's airing on TV, and then suddenly a
- 12:00Speaker 4: Reddit theory took off like wildfire that he was with
- 12:03Speaker 4: me the time. Nothing had happened at all, but we
- 12:06Speaker 4: got along really well, our families had met, they loved
- 12:10Speaker 4: each other. Suddenly Barb was praying for us to end
- 12:13Speaker 4: up together. My dad says, Julie, I've never seen you
- 12:17Speaker 4: this way with a man. And then seemingly the whole
- 12:21Speaker 4: world was like actually like rooting for us to end
- 12:24Speaker 4: up together. And so here I am, the hopeless romantic
- 12:27Speaker 4: who's always dreamed of this fairy tale ending, and all
- 12:31Speaker 4: of a sudden, this seemingly the entire world is like
- 12:34Speaker 4: rooting for that fairy tale rom com ending. And then
- 12:37Speaker 4: you know, there was this moment where I almost you know,
- 12:39Speaker 4: Cinderella story became the Bachelorette, and so all these things
- 12:42Speaker 4: were going on in my mind. Yeah, of course I
- 12:46Speaker 4: got caught up in the stories we've been fed in
- 12:48Speaker 4: condition to want and desire in life as women, growing
- 12:53Speaker 4: up on these rom coms, growing up watching The Bachelor.
- 12:56Speaker 4: There's a reason I went for this job, like I love,
- 12:59Speaker 4: you know, reading these rom com stories, and so so yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 4: I got I got caught up in the fairy tale
- 13:05Speaker 4: I created, and I was trying to understand whether I
- 13:07Speaker 4: actually felt something or if I had gotten mixed up
- 13:10Speaker 4: with you know, the stories I created for a living.
- 13:13Speaker 4: So it became a real difficult, confusing time for me.
- 13:18Speaker 6: And I don't I don't I get it. I mean
- 13:21Speaker 6: I do, Julie.
- 13:22Speaker 5: I think that's why when I read the book, well One,
- 13:26Speaker 5: I think all of the steps in life, the good,
- 13:30Speaker 5: the bads, the things that keep us up at night,
- 13:35Speaker 5: have this a beautiful ability to pull us back to
- 13:37Speaker 5: a creator that calls us to love.
- 13:40Speaker 6: And I think that's when I read your book.
- 13:41Speaker 5: I mean, that's the story of my life, and I
- 13:43Speaker 5: think the story of everybody's life. And I think it's
- 13:47Speaker 5: wonderful when you can put it on paper and you
- 13:50Speaker 5: can tell the story clearly and you can pull back,
- 13:53Speaker 5: you know, some of the things. I mean in my book,
- 13:55Speaker 5: I read about my time stealing you know, painkillers too
- 14:00Speaker 5: from people I love, just to you know, have a fix,
- 14:03Speaker 5: and how that led me back to God. Like all
- 14:05Speaker 5: these things right, And that's why I'm cautious here. I'm
- 14:10Speaker 5: not picking sides. I'm cautious to define this with these
- 14:14Speaker 5: like large terms that have deep impact in real people's lives.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Like we're like, you're talking about people that have gone
- 14:23Speaker 5: through workplace environments that are unhealthy and their bosses have
- 14:27Speaker 5: pressure or push them. Like, I don't want this to
- 14:29Speaker 5: be defined by that. It's not that, And so we
- 14:31Speaker 5: need to protect those definitions so that when they are said,
- 14:35Speaker 5: we go, Okay, that is this, and this is this
- 14:38Speaker 5: When you ask me what I think, I with And
- 14:44Speaker 5: that's why I said, I think some people will disagree
- 14:45Speaker 5: with me. I can see how this happens. It does
- 14:49Speaker 5: you were closer in age to the leads of really
- 14:52Speaker 5: any producer I had, you know, you were close in
- 14:55Speaker 5: age to any lead. And then even during my season,
- 15:00Speaker 5: I don't know how familiar with this, there were issues
- 15:03Speaker 5: with some of the women on my cast, like having
- 15:05Speaker 5: crushes on the producers that existed in their lives and
- 15:09Speaker 5: they had to like fix that, being like, hey, refocus,
- 15:13Speaker 5: that's not your guy.
- 15:16Speaker 2: We all talked about this behind the scenes and being like,
- 15:19Speaker 2: do I have more feelings for so and so than
- 15:22Speaker 2: Chris because you are connecting so deeply with them, You're
- 15:26Speaker 2: talking all the time, and then when you're in the
- 15:28Speaker 2: confessional room, it just feels like you're on almost a
- 15:32Speaker 2: date about deep feelings. Yeah, well, now putting words out there,
- 15:36Speaker 2: I don't mean like you feel like you're on a date,
- 15:37Speaker 2: but you're being You're having very intimate conversations.
- 15:40Speaker 5: So I think if you're on the show, I sit
- 15:43Speaker 5: it here and I'm going, oh, we were like maybe
- 15:46Speaker 5: two steps away from this happening probably hundreds of times
- 15:49Speaker 5: in the course of this franchise where lines would be crossed,
- 15:53Speaker 5: And I do think it's an important note to say, hey,
- 15:56Speaker 5: this your romantic relationship with Peter happened show while you
- 16:02Speaker 5: know you were still hanging out. You were two adults
- 16:05Speaker 5: who were, you know, hanging out together. There was no
- 16:08Speaker 5: show going on, and you found this connection. And I
- 16:12Speaker 5: think that's a whole different deal. Like I wouldn't want
- 16:15Speaker 5: to be as an adult told hey, I can't date
- 16:17Speaker 5: this producer that I once like was around, you know,
- 16:21Speaker 5: five years later, Like they're off limits because at one
- 16:23Speaker 5: point in my life they were a producer on the show.
- 16:25Speaker 6: That seems crazy to me.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, thank you.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Am I making sense or am I just being k Yeah?
- 16:30Speaker 2: Of course you're making sense. This is like such a confidence.
- 16:32Speaker 2: This is like a such a weird thing to talk about.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I'm friends with you, I'm friends with Nick. I'm probably
- 16:38Speaker 2: not close to Peter, but I've always enjoyed our chats
- 16:42Speaker 2: whenever he comes on. I always think he's the nicest guy.
- 16:45Speaker 2: And when I just have to say, as a reader
- 16:49Speaker 2: and as somebody who was on the show, and as
- 16:51Speaker 2: somebody who is friendly with everyone involved, I read it
- 16:56Speaker 2: very innocently and I feel like most people pe well
- 17:00Speaker 2: would of course, do I understand Peter's annoyances that like
- 17:04Speaker 2: your relationship is out there for the world to read totally,
- 17:07Speaker 2: But I enjoyed reading it like it was a rom com.
- 17:10Speaker 2: It really did feel like it. It didn't feel any
- 17:13Speaker 2: it didn't feel dirty. It really doesn't. And I don't
- 17:15Speaker 2: even think I think that if you were to read it,
- 17:17Speaker 2: I still understand the component of like, he wouldn't like it,
- 17:22Speaker 2: you know, like to have that stuff out there. But
- 17:24Speaker 2: he doesn't look bad. He's still like it emphasized to
- 17:27Speaker 2: me that he's still like a very sweet, good human being.
- 17:31Speaker 2: And you just you guys just liked each other. There
- 17:35Speaker 2: was a special there was a special connection, and I
- 17:39Speaker 2: don't feel like I don't really even feel like there
- 17:42Speaker 2: was much inappropriate behavior since I mean, of course the
- 17:47Speaker 2: timing wasn't great. If you guys had hooked up years later,
- 17:50Speaker 2: then I don't think it would have been a problem
- 17:52Speaker 2: at all. Uh you got I mean, do you want
- 17:57Speaker 2: to get into details about when you ended up sleeping together? Sure,
- 18:03Speaker 2: we don't have to. It's in the book, you guys
- 18:05Speaker 2: can It wasn't during the filming of the season. There
- 18:09Speaker 2: was nothing to me in the book that seems like
- 18:11Speaker 2: anything inappropriate happened during the filming of the season. Peter
- 18:14Speaker 2: did comment this week on social media, saying that there
- 18:18Speaker 2: was a moment where you guys were filming his last
- 18:21Speaker 2: one on one with Hannah Ann and you said something
- 18:24Speaker 2: along the lines of You're gonna look like an idiot
- 18:26Speaker 2: if you get this girl a rose. Do you want
- 18:28Speaker 2: to first respond to that? Because that was his big
- 18:31Speaker 2: release this week was just this one Instagram comment where
- 18:34Speaker 2: he said, like, I really wish that this would kept private.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I really told her how much would mean to me
- 18:39Speaker 2: if we kept this private. And then he insinuated that
- 18:42Speaker 2: things crossed the line when you made that comment about
- 18:45Speaker 2: Hannah Ann the midst of the season.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Listen, not my proudest producing moment. And you know, again,
- 18:50Speaker 4: there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that
- 18:52Speaker 4: I'm not able to talk about, and influences above me
- 18:55Speaker 4: that are going on that I unfortunately, again this is
- 18:59Speaker 4: probably all toimate. Also what led me to leave the
- 19:02Speaker 4: shows is you know, yeah, I sometimes I'm directed to
- 19:07Speaker 4: do certain things and I can't I can't control that.
- 19:10Speaker 4: But I mean, let me also say that when I
- 19:12Speaker 4: went to Peter's book launch event, he said to me, Julie,
- 19:16Speaker 4: you and I should write a book together. So like
- 19:19Speaker 4: for and maybe it was just maybe he was joking around,
- 19:23Speaker 4: I don't know, but for him to say he's made
- 19:25Speaker 4: multiple attempts. He actually we had one conversation. He threatened
- 19:30Speaker 4: to sue. I said, no problem, I'll connect you with
- 19:33Speaker 4: our lawyer. I send him the lawyer information. This was
- 19:35Speaker 4: months ago, which I didn't have to tell him about
- 19:38Speaker 4: the book, but I did because I wanted to. And
- 19:42Speaker 4: then I the lawyer never heard from him, and when
- 19:46Speaker 4: we were doing final edits in January, they said, hey,
- 19:49Speaker 4: we rather troubleshoot anything now. If you could reach out
- 19:52Speaker 4: to him and have him reach out to us, that'd
- 19:55Speaker 4: be great. I reached out to him again, say hey,
- 19:57Speaker 4: if you want to get in touch with our lawyer,
- 19:59Speaker 4: like and he just never responded to me, so to say,
- 20:02Speaker 4: you made like multiple attempts. But also like, by the way,
- 20:05Speaker 4: I'm not going to be silenced by a man like
- 20:07Speaker 4: this isn't again, this story isn't about Peter. It's about
- 20:11Speaker 4: my journey, my journey for love, my healing journey. And
- 20:14Speaker 4: you know, I can't deny the fact that Peter was
- 20:17Speaker 4: a big part of it, because he really was. I'm
- 20:19Speaker 4: super grateful for him because he really was the person
- 20:22Speaker 4: who catapulted me to leaving the show, to going on
- 20:27Speaker 4: my healing journey to finding you know, a purpose that's
- 20:31Speaker 4: more aligned with who I am as a person. So
- 20:33Speaker 4: I'm grateful for him in that regard.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I'm going to ask you an awkward question. I'm so sorry,
- 20:49Speaker 2: I just have to ask it. It's blunt, But do
- 20:52Speaker 2: you think that you would have gotten the book deal
- 20:54Speaker 2: if it weren't for you telling the Peter story?
- 20:57Speaker 4: Oh? Probably not?
- 20:58Speaker 5: No, Yeah, I mean it definitely, you know, causes a shakeup,
- 21:03Speaker 5: Like I think the Peter thing, I think, if I'm honest,
- 21:09Speaker 5: I really just I'm like, hey, people just need to
- 21:10Speaker 5: read the book because, like you said, Ashley, you said
- 21:12Speaker 5: it well, and I'll emphasize it doesn't make Peter.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Look bad, still looks like a nice guy.
- 21:18Speaker 5: It is a part of your story, Julie, and it
- 21:20Speaker 5: was a big, you know, pivot point in your life
- 21:22Speaker 5: to where you left the show because of this romantic relationship.
- 21:25Speaker 6: It is not.
- 21:27Speaker 5: A tell all book about your escapades together in whatever capacity.
- 21:32Speaker 5: It is a story of your journey through life, and
- 21:36Speaker 5: I think many can relate to it, right, A relationship
- 21:41Speaker 5: of many kind causing sadness and then revelation and then
- 21:46Speaker 5: you know, moving forward. I think would be the better
- 21:49Speaker 5: way to explain this.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Obviously.
- 21:50Speaker 5: The Peter stuff, though, is such a highlight because it
- 21:53Speaker 5: is shocking. It makes headlines, and I can agree with
- 21:56Speaker 5: Peter that I would probably be shaken in my right
- 22:00Speaker 5: now if I haven't read this, Like I'd be really scared, upset, mad,
- 22:08Speaker 5: angry that this, you know, moment, private moment is now
- 22:11Speaker 5: becoming public, and I'd be like, this is not good,
- 22:15Speaker 5: This is not a good thing. But I do want
- 22:18Speaker 5: to emphasize that this book is not a tell all
- 22:20Speaker 5: about Peter Webber.
- 22:22Speaker 6: It's not, and so we have to look past that.
- 22:27Speaker 5: But I'm glad, I mean, I think honesty is going
- 22:29Speaker 5: to be the best way to go walk through this
- 22:31Speaker 5: until it's released. I'm glad that you can say, yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 5: you don't get the book deal without this story, but
- 22:36Speaker 5: it's a real story to you, Julie. This story is
- 22:39Speaker 5: impactful to you. And so if you were to write
- 22:42Speaker 5: a book just for your own personal library, nobody would
- 22:46Speaker 5: ever read it, this story would still be included.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I'm assuming, Oh, yeah, of course it's you know, it
- 22:56Speaker 4: created a big shift in my in my life. And
- 23:00Speaker 4: you know, for you guys, you have like one headline
- 23:02Speaker 4: and then another and then another another. For me, this
- 23:05Speaker 4: basically is, you know, in twenty twenty, when those headlines
- 23:08Speaker 4: came out, then that followed me. So every first date
- 23:12Speaker 4: started with a giant lie because guys would ask me
- 23:14Speaker 4: about this, and I again was still dealing with a
- 23:17Speaker 4: lot of like shame and pain around it that you know,
- 23:20Speaker 4: you start off all these like relationships and conversations with
- 23:23Speaker 4: a giant lie. And sure I could have like gone
- 23:26Speaker 4: and just done like one interview to free myself of
- 23:29Speaker 4: that shame and pain, like with a People magazine interview. Sure,
- 23:33Speaker 4: but to me, again, it's not just about that. And which,
- 23:38Speaker 4: by the way, like also after the headlines came out,
- 23:40Speaker 4: Peter like kept connecting me with different podcasts hosts that
- 23:44Speaker 4: want to interview me about the headlines, which I found
- 23:46Speaker 4: very strange because I wouldn't go on something like that
- 23:49Speaker 4: and lie. I'm just not someone who typically lies. I'm
- 23:52Speaker 4: a very honest, truthful person, and so to be carrying
- 23:55Speaker 4: around this lie was.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Like really.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Really hard for me and really painful for me. And
- 24:01Speaker 4: going back into the work event, work environment, you know,
- 24:04Speaker 4: I did, I felt like I had the scarlet letter
- 24:06Speaker 4: on my back and like it's just not a good
- 24:09Speaker 4: place to live. It's not a good Yeah, it's hard
- 24:14Speaker 4: when you when when you kind of just so it
- 24:17Speaker 4: really is what led me to leaving the show. And
- 24:20Speaker 4: again like, yeah, it was a dark time for me.
- 24:24Speaker 4: It was.
- 24:24Speaker 2: It was hard. I truly feel like you loved him
- 24:27Speaker 2: so much. Is he still like the big of your life?
- 24:30Speaker 4: Do you feel, Peter?
- 24:32Speaker 2: No, you don't know.
- 24:34Speaker 6: Okay, No, I'm guessing that's a reference to something. I
- 24:37Speaker 6: what is that?
- 24:38Speaker 2: Sex and the City, Sex and the City Big?
- 24:41Speaker 4: Okay, well, I think like, for example, yeah, carry ended
- 24:45Speaker 4: up with Big the big of your life, and it's
- 24:47Speaker 4: interesting because that's what we grew up seeing, right, But
- 24:50Speaker 4: I also see now why Big was.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Horrible for her. But I don't think Peter was ever
- 24:54Speaker 2: horrible for you. And I also just want to make
- 24:56Speaker 2: it clear it was very much a two sided thing.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Even though you were far more vocal about your feelings
- 25:01Speaker 2: towards him, he had feelings for you. It's definitely clear,
- 25:07Speaker 2: and you guys had such a strong friendship. It wasn't
- 25:10Speaker 2: just the hook up, like this isn't just an I
- 25:13Speaker 2: think it felt it felt pretty pure to me.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I mean I think so, I don't think I'm you know,
- 25:18Speaker 4: everyone's calling me a delusional right, and it was just like.
- 25:21Speaker 2: There wasn't coercing or anything. It was like you guys
- 25:24Speaker 2: both were into each other. You were probably into him more.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't even know. I think like for a
- 25:31Speaker 4: long time I was actually in full denial, like right,
- 25:34Speaker 4: and then after things happened, then I started to admit
- 25:38Speaker 4: and understand sort of you know, why these understand like, oh,
- 25:42Speaker 4: maybe there is something more there. And then you know,
- 25:45Speaker 4: even our parents coming together and being like, why aren't
- 25:48Speaker 4: you you know, I mean, my dad recalls when we
- 25:50Speaker 4: like went to the Weber's house and we were all
- 25:52Speaker 4: sitting there, this was before anything had happened, and the
- 25:56Speaker 4: Webers saying, you know, we would give our full blessing
- 25:58Speaker 4: for you two to end up together, and you know,
- 26:01Speaker 4: and I just sitting there awkwardly. So it's like an
- 26:03Speaker 4: interesting thing when you're getting it from everyone, you know.
- 26:07Speaker 4: And then yeah, I'm always wanting to suppress my feelings
- 26:10Speaker 4: and I never admit to liking a guy. And actually
- 26:13Speaker 4: my journey was about like finding my voice and actually
- 26:15Speaker 4: being vulnerable and being open to like sharing with him
- 26:18Speaker 4: how i'd actually felt during this time, because because I've
- 26:21Speaker 4: always just stayed close off from sharing my truth with men.
- 26:24Speaker 4: So I that's you know, as you read in the Journey,
- 26:27Speaker 4: is me finally like practicing what I preached on the
- 26:30Speaker 4: show and like actually sharing it for myself and sharing
- 26:34Speaker 4: my truth.
- 26:35Speaker 5: Julie, Obviously we've spent a lot of time talking about
- 26:39Speaker 5: the Peter stuff.
- 26:42Speaker 6: The reason you wrote this book in the first place
- 26:45Speaker 6: was to.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Step beyond Peter in that time in your life and
- 26:50Speaker 5: to move to something greater. You describe it as a
- 26:56Speaker 5: spiritual journey to finding healing through a God that loves.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Can you elaborate on that a little.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Bit, Yeah, thank you for asking. You know, when I
- 27:08Speaker 4: first left the show and I didn't know what I
- 27:11Speaker 4: was doing, I started studying hypnotherapy and the subconscious mind
- 27:17Speaker 4: and learning more about sort of you know, how we're
- 27:20Speaker 4: conditioned and we repeat these patterns of the past. But
- 27:23Speaker 4: then from that that was sort of the launch of
- 27:25Speaker 4: me finally like doing my inner work, and I studied
- 27:28Speaker 4: a number of healing modalities, energy healing, tapping, and intuitive development,
- 27:36Speaker 4: and through it I started to like I had some
- 27:40Speaker 4: like really like mystical experiences and.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Past life, the story of your past life and how
- 27:47Speaker 2: you think you were murdered in it. This is all
- 27:48Speaker 2: stuff you guys could read in the book.
- 27:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it was pretty powerful, and we had to pull
- 27:55Speaker 4: back on some of the wu stuff surprisingly. Okay, I
- 28:00Speaker 4: like to say, I'm just trying to do one woo
- 28:02Speaker 4: of the woo woo. But to me, like, you know,
- 28:08Speaker 4: there's so much in this like three D world of
- 28:10Speaker 4: like go go, go, go go. But actually, like when
- 28:12Speaker 4: you're able to tap into this vessel of unconditional love
- 28:16Speaker 4: that's around us, God, our angels, our spirit guides, they
- 28:21Speaker 4: are there wanting to help us, and and people just
- 28:26Speaker 4: aren't like open to receiving that guidance and that help.
- 28:29Speaker 4: And on my journey I started to tap into that.
- 28:33Speaker 4: I think working in Hollywood, I kind of lost touch
- 28:35Speaker 4: with God and my connection with God. You know, I
- 28:37Speaker 4: grew up, I grew up very involved in my church
- 28:41Speaker 4: and and yeah, I guess just being around a lot
- 28:44Speaker 4: of like atheists and things, it was it was, Yeah,
- 28:48Speaker 4: I pulled away from that connection. But on this journey
- 28:50Speaker 4: I reconnected with it. And now, like my connection with
- 28:54Speaker 4: God is so beautiful. I mean, I'm a feeler. I
- 28:58Speaker 4: could actually like feel things now like I mean, if
- 29:01Speaker 4: I it's gonna sound crazy, but like if I call
- 29:03Speaker 4: on my angels, I feel them, like I literally feel
- 29:05Speaker 4: them hugging me. It's become it's really really powerful. It's
- 29:11Speaker 4: super healing.
- 29:13Speaker 2: And I believe we all.
- 29:14Speaker 4: Have a spiritual team that's here to like help guide us,
- 29:17Speaker 4: and angels that are here to help guide us. And
- 29:19Speaker 4: when you ask for their help and you ask for
- 29:22Speaker 4: their guidance, they're going to and you're open to the
- 29:23Speaker 4: signs from the universe and the messages they're giving you,
- 29:26Speaker 4: they're going to guide you exactly down the path you're
- 29:29Speaker 4: supposed to go.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I believe I was actually.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Divinely guide it on all this I was trying to
- 29:32Speaker 4: hide my story behind fiction, and I kept getting messages
- 29:36Speaker 4: from strangers, intuitives, from meditating, from praying that I really
- 29:42Speaker 4: need to share my truth and it was important. It
- 29:44Speaker 4: was an important part of like what I want to
- 29:46Speaker 4: do now. We're working with women and helping women rewrite
- 29:49Speaker 4: their stories, going forward, shedding their shame and actually connecting
- 29:53Speaker 4: with the heart space. And I think when you lead
- 29:55Speaker 4: from your heart space and you and you lead with
- 29:58Speaker 4: the guidance from that unconditional love, God, the universe, whatever
- 30:01Speaker 4: you want to call it. Then you're going to be
- 30:02Speaker 4: a guide exactly where you're supposed to go.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Julie, do you have a name for this God? Like,
- 30:08Speaker 5: is there a tradition that you most relate with right now?
- 30:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good question to me.
- 30:14Speaker 4: You know, there's a really great book I read called
- 30:16Speaker 4: Soulboom by Rain Wilson from the Office, and he really
- 30:20Speaker 4: looks at all the different religions and breaks them down
- 30:23Speaker 4: and ultimately shows how they're all kind of have the same,
- 30:28Speaker 4: like ten values and the same messaging. And so for me,
- 30:31Speaker 4: I mean, I grew up Christian I love Christianity, but
- 30:35Speaker 4: I've also tapped into Buddhism and meditating and kabbala, So
- 30:42Speaker 4: I've tapped into them all and I think they're all
- 30:46Speaker 4: beautiful and I personally believe that they all share a
- 30:49Speaker 4: similar message. And it's hard, like, you know, you look
- 30:52Speaker 4: at religion and how it's caused so much war in
- 30:57Speaker 4: the world and like you know, and fights and like that,
- 31:00Speaker 4: and actually, like all these religions are to me ultimately
- 31:05Speaker 4: saying the same message of you know, loving my neighbor,
- 31:09Speaker 4: come from a place of love, and everything you do
- 31:12Speaker 4: and the community aspect, I think is really important, and
- 31:15Speaker 4: it's sad because I feel like we've gotten to a
- 31:17Speaker 4: place where we've become a bit of a godless society
- 31:19Speaker 4: and there's a lot of separation, and there's there's something
- 31:22Speaker 4: important about all coming together and believing it's something more
- 31:25Speaker 4: powerful than us. And to me, I don't care if
- 31:27Speaker 4: you call it, you know, God, the universe, Santa Claus, whatever,
- 31:34Speaker 4: is going to help you accelerate and extend to your
- 31:36Speaker 4: highest potential during this life. To me, like this lifetime
- 31:40Speaker 4: is a journey for love. We're all in a journey
- 31:41Speaker 4: for love and each moment is to help you connect
- 31:45Speaker 4: to it and accelerate to get to that point of
- 31:49Speaker 4: being a vessel of unconditional love in this world. So
- 31:53Speaker 4: that's the messaging I want to go with.
- 31:55Speaker 6: Now. I have a show on iHeart called can You
- 31:58Speaker 6: Hear Me?
- 31:59Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's it's all about this. It's a Christian
- 32:03Speaker 5: show that brings on people to discuss exactly what you're
- 32:06Speaker 5: talking about. I think you'd be a great guests to
- 32:08Speaker 5: not talk about Peter Weber on that this is more
- 32:11Speaker 5: of that.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Arena, yeah, and the honor to gone.
- 32:15Speaker 5: Yeah, dive into all the the goodness and all the things.
- 32:19Speaker 6: That are happening.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's really when you when you start
- 32:25Speaker 4: to surrender to a higher power, your life becomes tremendously
- 32:30Speaker 4: more powerful.
- 32:31Speaker 6: I think, you know, yeah, we're not the greatest things
- 32:34Speaker 6: out there.
- 32:35Speaker 5: I fully believe there's a God that loves and cares
- 32:40Speaker 5: and want system that we have a freedom and joy
- 32:45Speaker 5: in that. Julie, The Love Producers out July seventh. Uh,
- 32:51Speaker 5: it's obviously been enclosing here a wild week, wild few
- 32:57Speaker 5: months years as you wrote this book. But the final
- 33:00Speaker 5: question I have for you is after the week of headlines,
- 33:03Speaker 5: the week of it getting I mean goodness, more promotion
- 33:08Speaker 5: than I could ever pay for.
- 33:10Speaker 4: If people call me a predator, how do you feel?
- 33:13Speaker 6: How are you? How are you doing?
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 33:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it was definitely an interesting week. But again, like
- 33:20Speaker 4: you said, you know, no press is bad press. I
- 33:22Speaker 4: hope when people actually read it they see my heart
- 33:26Speaker 4: and and that it's all coming from a place of love.
- 33:29Speaker 4: And I hope if I can inspire one woman to like,
- 33:33Speaker 4: you know, not be afraid to share a voice, make
- 33:35Speaker 4: the changes that are necessary for her to like fully embody.
- 33:39Speaker 7: You know.
- 33:39Speaker 4: I like to say that leading lady energy and step
- 33:41Speaker 4: into the like their authentic self and it'll all be
- 33:44Speaker 4: worth it.
- 33:44Speaker 2: So so I'm grateful for it all.
- 33:46Speaker 4: I trust in the divine plan of what's unfolding for me,
- 33:51Speaker 4: and I just want to continue stepping forward and and
- 33:56Speaker 4: helping other women on their journeys. So I'm just going
- 33:59Speaker 4: to stay focused on that again.
- 34:01Speaker 5: The Love Producers out July seventh. Wherever you can buy books, I'm.
- 34:04Speaker 4: Assuming, yeah, yeah, all the all the all the book sites.
- 34:08Speaker 4: I always love to encourage calling your local bookstore and
- 34:12Speaker 4: supporting people.
- 34:13Speaker 2: So yeah, thank you.
- 34:16Speaker 4: I really appreciate you guys having me on and having
- 34:18Speaker 4: this conversation.
- 34:19Speaker 5: Of course, I'm going to pass it off. This is
- 34:23Speaker 5: part of the plan. You and Ashley can continue to
- 34:25Speaker 5: dive into all the things that she wants to talk
- 34:29Speaker 5: about when it comes to life the Bachelor book, and
- 34:34Speaker 5: I'm going to give you guys the space to do that.
- 34:36Speaker 5: I know you have a big event coming up this afternoon,
- 34:38Speaker 5: also at Audrey's coffee shop. Make sure you're generous coffee there.
- 34:42Speaker 5: But this is where I'm going to say goodbye to you, Julie,
- 34:45Speaker 5: best of luck.
- 34:46Speaker 6: With the book launch. You and Ashley can take it away.
- 34:50Speaker 5: And welcome to the world of headlines.
- 34:53Speaker 6: They're a ton of fun.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I got tame.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Let me tell you my favorite headline amongst all the
- 35:00Speaker 4: click bait, when this contestant played the clock gape on
- 35:04Speaker 4: prices l like a pro.
- 35:08Speaker 2: That's so true.
- 35:10Speaker 4: That mixed in there about on my fortieth birthday when
- 35:14Speaker 4: I went and crushed it on the prices right.
- 35:17Speaker 6: That's right.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I forgot about that one. That's amazing.
- 35:21Speaker 7: It was your like life goal, my life goal child
- 35:27Speaker 7: was thriving for that one. Amazing. I want to talk
- 35:42Speaker 7: before we talk more about Peter. I'm so sorry. Are
- 35:45Speaker 7: you so tired of this?
- 35:46Speaker 2: Are you so scared every time somebody asked you a question? Yeah,
- 35:50Speaker 2: it's it's.
- 35:50Speaker 4: It's you know, one of the foreign agreement agreements is
- 35:56Speaker 4: be impeccable with your words. I'm trying to be very
- 35:58Speaker 4: mindful about, uh, what I say. And also it's interesting
- 36:02Speaker 4: because the journey was to like shed the past and yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 4: like of course, naturally that's what people are most interested in,
- 36:11Speaker 4: and I get it. So it's it's been a good
- 36:14Speaker 4: practice for me to see how I could stay grounded
- 36:16Speaker 4: in and all.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just a good pop culture book in general,
- 36:20Speaker 2: even if you're not a huge bachelor Frian. Even if
- 36:23Speaker 2: you didn't watch Peter season, You're gonna enjoy it. It's
- 36:25Speaker 2: about a millennial girl that was like pinnacle millennial. Like
- 36:28Speaker 2: you talk about in sync at the VMA's you had
- 36:32Speaker 2: what was the moment like they all said hi to you.
- 36:34Speaker 2: You like got a picture with.
- 36:35Speaker 4: That in the NA I manifested take us to the
- 36:37Speaker 4: van Ba exactly. I just I have like a supermom
- 36:40Speaker 4: who have still have a supermom who? I was like,
- 36:43Speaker 4: can we just drive to New York City? This was
- 36:45Speaker 4: my mom too, to try to get a glimpse of
- 36:47Speaker 4: in sync at the MTV Video Music Whorts on nine
- 36:50Speaker 4: nine ninety nine, and she's like, sure.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Let's go. I remember the promos for nine nine nine.
- 36:55Speaker 6: Yes.
- 36:56Speaker 4: And then so we drive herd me and my friend Olivia,
- 36:59Speaker 4: and then I find out where people with tickets are
- 37:02Speaker 4: and I'm like, okay, let's go, let's go try to
- 37:03Speaker 4: get a ticket. So we go and I pushed my
- 37:05Speaker 4: way to the front of the barricades and everyone's walking
- 37:07Speaker 4: by their tickets and I'm just like, can I.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Have your ticket? Can I have your ticket?
- 37:12Speaker 4: And then this lady stopped and she like talked to
- 37:15Speaker 4: the cop and she handed him an envelope and she
- 37:22Speaker 4: pointed at me, and then she continued on and the
- 37:24Speaker 4: cop comes up and he goes, well, you just won
- 37:26Speaker 4: the golden ticket. This lady wanted me to give you
- 37:28Speaker 4: this ticket here, No way. I nearly fainted. And this
- 37:31Speaker 4: is before I had cell phones. I ditched my my
- 37:33Speaker 4: mom and set.
- 37:34Speaker 2: My gosh, your mom been so scared just to let
- 37:37Speaker 2: you go in your You're like for your.
- 37:39Speaker 7: Nine years old.
- 37:40Speaker 4: So I was like fourteen, okay, yeah, right, yeah, fourteen,
- 37:44Speaker 4: I'm forty one okay yeaheah, And and I and I
- 37:48Speaker 4: made my way to the red carpet. I actually found
- 37:50Speaker 4: the people who gave me the ticket, and then I'm.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Just like sin curios and sin here.
- 37:55Speaker 4: And then they came down and I saw Justin and
- 37:58Speaker 4: I said, can I have a hob and he hugged me,
- 38:01Speaker 4: and that was just incredible.
- 38:04Speaker 2: You just yeah, I didn't watch that, no.
- 38:06Speaker 5: Of course.
- 38:08Speaker 2: I still them waving to me from the tour bus
- 38:10Speaker 2: when I was eleven or twelve, and I was just
- 38:13Speaker 2: like that wave. My mom didn't hear the end of
- 38:18Speaker 2: it for for months, you know, and all it was
- 38:21Speaker 2: was just a general wave in that direction. So I mean,
- 38:25Speaker 2: I have another story. You're just like she is you guys,
- 38:29Speaker 2: if you guys know me and my like pop culture,
- 38:31Speaker 2: like millennial self. That's what a lot of the first
- 38:34Speaker 2: quarter or so of the book is about. And then
- 38:38Speaker 2: those you know, that mindset leads you to the Bachelor,
- 38:41Speaker 2: and then you are kind of living a rom com
- 38:45Speaker 2: where like there are people on to run it out there,
- 38:47Speaker 2: like rooting for you to be the bachelorette, to be
- 38:51Speaker 2: with Peter in the end and be the ultimate twist
- 38:54Speaker 2: of the season. And then the last quarter of the
- 38:56Speaker 2: book is about It's a lot about the relationships that
- 38:59Speaker 2: you thought we're going to lead to marriage and you
- 39:02Speaker 2: going quote woo woo, and you also, yeah, your whole
- 39:07Speaker 2: spiritual journey, and so.
- 39:10Speaker 3: You're like a would you say it's a trained hypnotherapist.
- 39:15Speaker 4: Yeah, So I.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Feel like you should come on an episode of housewives
- 39:19Speaker 2: and you should hypnotize them into like having a clear
- 39:23Speaker 2: slate with each other. And when I say them, I
- 39:25Speaker 2: mean a couple of the ladies that have mad beef.
- 39:30Speaker 2: They have to want it.
- 39:30Speaker 4: That's why you have to want it. You can't you
- 39:33Speaker 4: can't force it. Okay, it's kind of like seeing a
- 39:35Speaker 4: personal trainer, right, you come because you want to change something. Yeah,
- 39:39Speaker 4: and so it's a it's we're working together, but I
- 39:41Speaker 4: would love to. I actually really love how some of
- 39:44Speaker 4: these housewives are. Really they seem pretty like tapped in spiritually. Yeah,
- 39:48Speaker 4: there's a few things they were saying that I'm trying
- 39:51Speaker 4: to remember now there's a couple of them, or like
- 39:54Speaker 4: they're really into astrology.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we do like astrology. I mean I've always
- 39:57Speaker 2: loved astrology. I'm a Pisces, and I so define Pisces.
- 40:01Speaker 2: What are you? I'm Aquarius, so you're not even a
- 40:03Speaker 2: water sign, and I felt like, with your emotions you
- 40:06Speaker 2: might be. I know, he's Dawson's an Aquarius. Oh, January
- 40:11Speaker 2: thirty first and Justine's birthday, and then also my mom's birthday.
- 40:16Speaker 2: So and also the day that my parents met. Isn't
- 40:19Speaker 2: that the strangest thing ever?
- 40:21Speaker 6: Really?
- 40:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and the day that we met Tom Brady for
- 40:24Speaker 2: the first time. Oh my god, I mean it's really weird, right, Yeah,
- 40:27Speaker 2: And then that was how I had my justin Timberlake moment.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Is because my friend was my midwife and her poster
- 40:35Speaker 2: in the second row said with me, I delivered her
- 40:39Speaker 2: baby on your birthday, and that's what got him the day.
- 40:42Speaker 2: I remember that. Ye, that was amazing. Oh my god.
- 40:45Speaker 6: So good.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so good. But I just wanted to like that's
- 40:48Speaker 2: what I just kind of like let everybody else out
- 40:50Speaker 2: there know that it's a book about every like so
- 40:52Speaker 2: many things. It's just such a fun, good read and
- 40:57Speaker 2: it's really about you talk like every thing is about love.
- 41:01Speaker 2: So it's really like a biography or an auto biography
- 41:04Speaker 2: about like a girl who loves love. Yeah, so that
- 41:06Speaker 2: is what you need to take from this when if
- 41:10Speaker 2: you're out there thinking like, oh is it is it?
- 41:13Speaker 2: This is it? That, it's like, it's just a book
- 41:14Speaker 2: about a girl who just like loves love and it's
- 41:16Speaker 2: her love journey. And now explain how you were once
- 41:21Speaker 2: in the true running to become the bachelorette.
- 41:25Speaker 4: Well, when all the rumors came out, Yeah, I get
- 41:28Speaker 4: a call from Mike twice and he was like and
- 41:31Speaker 4: I was scared, but again at the time nothing had
- 41:34Speaker 4: to actually happened. But you know, like seeing it all
- 41:37Speaker 4: and like what's he gonna say? It's like we're loving
- 41:39Speaker 4: these rumors and the story and tell her me sees
- 41:42Speaker 4: it as a modern day Cinderella story, and I'm like, yeah,
- 41:45Speaker 4: I agree. I mean I literally picked Bookers out of
- 41:47Speaker 4: these contestants and noses and he's like, would you ever
- 41:50Speaker 4: consider being the bachelorette? Yeah? Yeah?
- 41:54Speaker 2: And I was like, and Rob Mills also was on board.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 4: So I end up having like a secret meeting with
- 41:59Speaker 4: Mike and Rob.
- 42:00Speaker 2: And this was all because of the rumors going on
- 42:03Speaker 2: that you may have ended up with Peter. And then
- 42:05Speaker 2: a lot of the fandom started to imagine what if
- 42:08Speaker 2: we had somebody from behind the camera live this, especially
- 42:12Speaker 2: somebody that people were having like some sort of parasocial
- 42:15Speaker 2: relationship with you, they like really wanted you.
- 42:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I got a lot of support.
- 42:20Speaker 4: I mean a little bit of hate, but I got a.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Lot of support.
- 42:22Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 42:23Speaker 4: It was quite like you know, so then, of course,
- 42:25Speaker 4: how do you not get caught up in that when
- 42:26Speaker 4: we grew up on you know, these brom coms, And
- 42:29Speaker 4: I was like, yes, sign me up. I was I
- 42:31Speaker 4: was clearly like starting to be over my job at
- 42:33Speaker 4: that point. It was just really like I think, mentally
- 42:36Speaker 4: and emotionally draining, and and so I was like, yeah,
- 42:40Speaker 4: sounds great. And then yeah, so we had a secret
- 42:42Speaker 4: meeting about it. It went really well. I thought they
- 42:46Speaker 4: were seemed really excited about it. But you know, in
- 42:48Speaker 4: the end, my my im media boss is shut it down.
- 42:51Speaker 4: I think they who has the ultimate say? Or is
- 42:54Speaker 4: it collaborative like everybody must be in a grant, It's
- 42:57Speaker 4: pretty collaborative. Yeah, I mean at the time, was you
- 43:01Speaker 4: know at the same time you know the people that
- 43:05Speaker 4: are actually there. Yeah, there's a lot of them. There's
- 43:07Speaker 4: a lot of them.
- 43:09Speaker 2: So a lot of people are wondering how you a
- 43:13Speaker 2: producer write a quote tell all, which that's the thing.
- 43:16Speaker 2: It's not without breaking nda without breaking rules. I don't
- 43:21Speaker 2: think in the book that you ever really talked too
- 43:24Speaker 2: specifically about the ins and outs of production. And I'm
- 43:27Speaker 2: saying I'm answering the question for you. Yeah, I don't
- 43:29Speaker 2: think that there's anything broken there.
- 43:32Speaker 4: To me, it's about my experience as a girl navigating
- 43:36Speaker 4: my own journey for love while climbing, you know, a
- 43:39Speaker 4: career in Hollywood and sort of the how that kind
- 43:43Speaker 4: of pulled me away from my own love story and
- 43:46Speaker 4: then trying to reclaim that and and so it's all
- 43:50Speaker 4: from my perspective and my emotions and my feelings. I
- 43:53Speaker 4: had a lawyer that used to review the books the
- 43:56Speaker 4: show review it from me, and she felt clear that
- 44:00Speaker 4: thought I was okay.
- 44:01Speaker 2: So yeah, and Chris Harrison writes the foreword, how was that? Ask?
- 44:08Speaker 4: Well, it was the first time I actually told anyone
- 44:10Speaker 4: from the show about what happened, so I was really
- 44:12Speaker 4: nervous to talk to him about it. But you know,
- 44:16Speaker 4: like the great host he is, in my opinion, he
- 44:19Speaker 4: like held his face for me.
- 44:20Speaker 2: I got really.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Emotional as I was talking about it, and he was
- 44:24Speaker 4: super kind and and and willing and happy for me.
- 44:39Speaker 3: What was your relationship like during the show.
- 44:42Speaker 4: Chris, Oh, I love Chris. Yeah, yeah, we had a
- 44:44Speaker 4: great relationship. I'm really grateful for his support and kindness.
- 44:50Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Where did you leave off with Peter? So in the book,
- 44:55Speaker 2: Like I don't even really want to give a lot
- 44:56Speaker 2: of spoilers, but in the book, you have the moment
- 45:01Speaker 2: where you tell him about your feelings, which is different
- 45:04Speaker 2: than like your physical moments when you tell him about
- 45:09Speaker 2: your feelings. He received it very kindly, of course. And
- 45:14Speaker 2: again this is like another moment whereas just like Peter
- 45:16Speaker 2: is like very good guy and he's very clearly a
- 45:18Speaker 2: good guy through the entire book. Where did your friendship
- 45:22Speaker 2: leave off after the telling of those feelings? Yeah, you know,
- 45:27Speaker 2: we it was it awkwardly was it like, oh, okay,
- 45:30Speaker 2: so she likes me, so we can't really be friends anymore.
- 45:33Speaker 4: We hadn't been talking as much well we you know,
- 45:36Speaker 4: he had moved to New York and then you know,
- 45:39Speaker 4: he was dating Kelly for a while, so yeah, you
- 45:42Speaker 4: know there are times when we reconnect it and then didn't.
- 45:44Speaker 4: So it was kind of like this. But after that,
- 45:47Speaker 4: I mean we were like fine, you know, like.
- 45:49Speaker 3: You see him again after that in person.
- 45:52Speaker 4: I think I've ran into him again at stageco oh
- 45:55Speaker 4: really I thought that, like you guys were gonna have
- 45:57Speaker 4: a romantic we're kindling.
- 45:59Speaker 2: I don't want to spoil book, okay, because you do,
- 46:02Speaker 2: like you write it in such a way that the
- 46:05Speaker 2: Peter stuff sprinkles, and I'm always eager to get to
- 46:08Speaker 2: the next Peter moment because it is very cute. Okay,
- 46:14Speaker 2: thank you.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Yeah. No, And I think actually, like after I had
- 46:18Speaker 4: that conversation with him, it's you know, and I talk
- 46:20Speaker 4: about this in the book, how we sort of like
- 46:22Speaker 4: sometimes you build things up in your head more when
- 46:24Speaker 4: you're removed from the person. There's a lot of like
- 46:28Speaker 4: holding on to the what is and.
- 46:31Speaker 2: All that stuff when you're not seeing them consistently, it'll
- 46:34Speaker 2: drag something out that should have been a month two years.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Yeah, and then like for a while working on this
- 46:39Speaker 4: fictional story, so it's kind of still like living in it,
- 46:42Speaker 4: you know, weird. Yeah, and again you know you talk
- 46:45Speaker 4: about this sort of like illusion, and you know, I
- 46:48Speaker 4: created these fairy tales on TV, and then all of
- 46:50Speaker 4: a sudden, I was like writing this fairy tale and
- 46:52Speaker 4: then like wondering if I could actually produce my own
- 46:54Speaker 4: fairy tale. So it's a you know. And then again
- 46:59Speaker 4: like once I have the conversations like oh god, oh
- 47:02Speaker 4: it took us one call, but so we're afraid to
- 47:04Speaker 4: have this like really vulnerable conversations express how we feel.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Or must have been beating out of your chest making
- 47:10Speaker 2: that call.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it's actually it was actually okay, Oh yeah.
- 47:15Speaker 2: I think for me it was more just.
- 47:17Speaker 4: I just needed to say it to like put behind
- 47:21Speaker 4: the possibilities and like, and afterwards I felt so great,
- 47:25Speaker 4: I felt at peace and ready to put that chapter
- 47:29Speaker 4: fully behind me.
- 47:30Speaker 2: So how do I feel heartbroke. I feel for Peter,
- 47:35Speaker 2: and I also feel for you and the status of
- 47:38Speaker 2: your relationship.
- 47:39Speaker 3: Now, how do you.
- 47:43Speaker 2: How do you feel?
- 47:44Speaker 4: Like?
- 47:44Speaker 2: How do you currently feel? Knowing that he said like
- 47:46Speaker 2: one of somebody that was once such like a best
- 47:49Speaker 2: friend to you is like, I I can't. I feel
- 47:53Speaker 2: very angry towards you, and so much so that I
- 47:56Speaker 2: would like to sue you, Like, how does that like
- 48:00Speaker 2: sit with you today?
- 48:01Speaker 4: I think if there's any doubt in my mind that
- 48:02Speaker 4: we should be togain, I have clarity now, But no,
- 48:06Speaker 4: how's it?
- 48:07Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 48:08Speaker 4: No, I you know, I think he's operating from a
- 48:10Speaker 4: place of fear, understandably so and and all I could
- 48:14Speaker 4: do is send him love and and I think, you know,
- 48:17Speaker 4: people come into your life for like a reason, season
- 48:20Speaker 4: or lifetime, and I think it came into my life
- 48:21Speaker 4: for a reason, and I'm grateful for what the situation
- 48:26Speaker 4: with him led me to. So I yeah, I'm a
- 48:31Speaker 4: I'm at peace with with not staying friends. It's okay, okay, Yeah,
- 48:36Speaker 4: I feel bad that he's like so upset. I don't
- 48:38Speaker 4: you know? Again, I think like I knew intuitively that
- 48:41Speaker 4: I need to share this story for again it's not
- 48:45Speaker 4: just to tell all about Peter. It's my journey and
- 48:48Speaker 4: my story that he was a part of supporting character
- 48:50Speaker 4: for if you will, And so I I knew I
- 48:55Speaker 4: had to share it, and for so many years I didn't,
- 48:58Speaker 4: I think because of not wanting to hurt him. And again,
- 49:02Speaker 4: like I you know, I've let men, I think hold
- 49:04Speaker 4: me back a lot in the past, and and I
- 49:08Speaker 4: just won't let them do that anymore.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Yeah, to the people who say this is a money
- 49:13Speaker 2: rab she could have written a diary, she didn't have
- 49:16Speaker 2: to share it with the world, what do you say?
- 49:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I think for me, there's a there's a greater
- 49:21Speaker 4: purpose in all this in terms of like the work
- 49:24Speaker 4: I do now and the spiritual journey I've been on
- 49:29Speaker 4: and the things I've been uncovering. Actually, I mean, to
- 49:32Speaker 4: be completely honest, my bigger hope in all this is
- 49:34Speaker 4: to bridge that gap between that wu Wu world and
- 49:38Speaker 4: the mainstream Bachelor audience in actually like kind of a funny,
- 49:41Speaker 4: approachable way, because the things that I've been uncovering on
- 49:46Speaker 4: my spiritual journey have been like super powerful me really magical.
- 49:49Speaker 4: We're actually like really magical human beings that are capable
- 49:52Speaker 4: of so much more than we're conditioned to believe in
- 49:55Speaker 4: this world. And and that's the work I do now,
- 49:59Speaker 4: and that's the sage I want to spread. And again,
- 50:02Speaker 4: it's all about like actually tapping into this vessel of
- 50:05Speaker 4: unconditional love that's available to all of us. And so
- 50:08Speaker 4: my journey for love is what I want to continue
- 50:12Speaker 4: to help other people do is go on their own journey.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Yes, this all makes sense when you read the book. Yeah,
- 50:17Speaker 2: it's very fluid. So what do you do today because
- 50:20Speaker 2: you have is it? Would you call it like a
- 50:22Speaker 2: life coaching through the love producer?
- 50:26Speaker 4: Yeah, so I've lost the love producer dot com. Yeah,
- 50:30Speaker 4: I've watched a business as a love producer, so kind
- 50:33Speaker 4: of lending my old storytelling world of the bachelor world.
- 50:37Speaker 4: So on my journey, I studied a number of modalities, uh, hypnotherapy, coaching,
- 50:42Speaker 4: energy healing, tapping. So now as a love producer, I
- 50:48Speaker 4: work with women and help guide them on their journey
- 50:50Speaker 4: for love. And so like any leading lady, you have
- 50:52Speaker 4: to look at the backstory, right, just like on the show.
- 50:55Speaker 4: But let's look at your backstory and what are those
- 50:58Speaker 4: stories you're telling yourself? What is that programming from you know,
- 51:03Speaker 4: your first experience with love like right for me, like
- 51:06Speaker 4: my first boyfriend betrayed me and that's stuck in my
- 51:09Speaker 4: subconscious and so on a subconscious level, I kept pulling
- 51:12Speaker 4: in these guys that never fully chose me. And so
- 51:15Speaker 4: actually now that I have like these tools, so we
- 51:17Speaker 4: could look at your backstory and how do you want
- 51:19Speaker 4: to rewrite it going forward? So I'll work with clients
- 51:22Speaker 4: to actually do the deeper healing work to break through
- 51:25Speaker 4: those subconscious blocks and patterns so that you could actually
- 51:29Speaker 4: produce the love and life you desire from the inside out. Yeah,
- 51:32Speaker 4: and I'm doing a retreat apply Escondida into something.
- 51:35Speaker 2: No way Ascandida. Guys, that is where we shot Bachelor.
- 51:39Speaker 2: That's not the og home, but the most known home
- 51:43Speaker 2: of Bachelor in Paradise.
- 51:45Speaker 4: So that is so cool.
- 51:46Speaker 2: What a great spot for it. How many people can go.
- 51:49Speaker 4: It's going to be a smaller group for this first one.
- 51:52Speaker 2: That seems like a very exclusive situation.
- 51:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I think we're going to limit it to like
- 51:56Speaker 4: fifteen Okay, but yeah, so it'll be like five days
- 51:59Speaker 4: there and come let me be your love producer. But
- 52:02Speaker 4: I'm going to bring different experts that help me on
- 52:04Speaker 4: my journey too. So I have a number of workshops
- 52:06Speaker 4: to actually help people like go deeper on their journey
- 52:10Speaker 4: for love. Mix them with some fun group dates and
- 52:12Speaker 4: stuff too.
- 52:13Speaker 2: So now you're going to have the millionaire matchmaker Patty
- 52:16Speaker 2: Stinger question asked you? Asked to you, Well, if you're
- 52:20Speaker 2: not married, why do I use your guidance?
- 52:22Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 52:23Speaker 6: Where are you?
- 52:24Speaker 2: Where's your stance? What's your relationship status right now?
- 52:28Speaker 1: Oh?
- 52:28Speaker 4: I had a complete imposter syndrome for forever. But to me,
- 52:32Speaker 4: like again, love is not like romantic relationships are all
- 52:36Speaker 4: there to help you tap into the own love available
- 52:39Speaker 4: to you. So each relationship is there as a tool
- 52:43Speaker 4: to help you grow and expand to this, you know,
- 52:45Speaker 4: this level of unconditional love that we are. I'm grateful
- 52:49Speaker 4: that I never like settled and when and I realized
- 52:52Speaker 4: I had to go on this inner journey to actually
- 52:54Speaker 4: be in a place like even the type of men
- 52:57Speaker 4: I want now has changed once I've gotten to know
- 52:59Speaker 4: myself more. You know, sometimes so many people seek love
- 53:02Speaker 4: externally before actually finding it within themselves. So really that's
- 53:06Speaker 4: what it's about for me. I you know, I'm open
- 53:09Speaker 4: to dating. I date, but I've been Selba for like
- 53:13Speaker 4: a year and a half. Yeah, I realized, like we're
- 53:16Speaker 4: all energy, and so like, I'm very like protective of
- 53:18Speaker 4: my space, but I believe the guys that come into
- 53:21Speaker 4: my life are for a reason, and so like even
- 53:23Speaker 4: if I go on a date, it's like, Okay, what
- 53:25Speaker 4: am I learning about myself from it?
- 53:27Speaker 2: So that's great, that's a really cool way to go
- 53:29Speaker 2: on a date. Honestly, Yeah, that's like take a little
- 53:32Speaker 2: pressure off. Yeah.
- 53:33Speaker 4: They all come in for a reason. So if you could,
- 53:36Speaker 4: you know, we either repeat the same patterns with men, right,
- 53:39Speaker 4: We'll either keep repeating the same kind of relationship over
- 53:42Speaker 4: and over. Once you bring awareness to that, it's like, Okay,
- 53:45Speaker 4: what are the lessons from this relationship and how so
- 53:48Speaker 4: how do I change them in the next and next Yeah.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Oh I'm so. I'm this is very interesting and I'm
- 53:54Speaker 2: excited about you having a conversation with one of my
- 53:57Speaker 2: best friends, nas Paraz. You're doing it next week, right
- 54:00Speaker 2: on Friday at the Grove. Okay, yeah, because you guys
- 54:04Speaker 2: unbelievably similar situations, both a little bit woo woo, both
- 54:08Speaker 2: batch of producers that are total hopeless romantics. Did it
- 54:12Speaker 2: in your twenties and thirties. That's going to be so
- 54:15Speaker 2: interesting to hear you guys talk about. So make sure
- 54:17Speaker 2: that that's recordedhow.
- 54:18Speaker 4: Yeah, because I'm really excited to show you.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Yeah. All right, Well, you guys can get The Love
- 54:25Speaker 2: Producer on Amazon of course, at the Love Producer dot

- 54:31Speaker 2: this is such a wide release.
- 54:32Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, anywhere books are sold. I was encouraged
- 54:34Speaker 4: to call your local bookstore. Okay, yeah, we love the locals.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, and it's out. Is it out now?
- 54:41Speaker 2: July seven? July seven? All right?
