- 0:59Speaker 2: Hi, guys, welcome back. E y L. Yeah, this is
- 1:04Speaker 2: an episode that I'm actually very excited about it one. Yeah,
- 1:07Speaker 2: it's a big one. It's gonna be a big one.
- 1:09Speaker 2: I can feel it. I can feel it. I can
- 1:10Speaker 2: feel it. So you know, we like doing episodes like
- 1:14Speaker 2: this where it's stuff that you see all the time,
- 1:19Speaker 2: but you never really think about it.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Part of you daily life.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Especially as kids, you definitely is part of daily life,
- 1:23Speaker 4: and even as adults, you know, you go to your
- 1:25Speaker 4: lunch room or something like that, it's.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Like, yeah, we see it.
- 1:28Speaker 2: We see a lot of stuff all the time, and
- 1:30Speaker 2: we don't realize like the money's all around us. We
- 1:32Speaker 2: actually the money is that money's all around us.
- 1:33Speaker 4: These episodes tend to do that, man, I'm telling you,
- 1:35Speaker 4: ever since we did Somebody like a trucking episode, every
- 1:37Speaker 4: time I see a truck on the on the road,
- 1:39Speaker 4: I might that's money, that's money passing.
- 1:41Speaker 5: I wonder who owns that?
- 1:42Speaker 4: Looking at the names on the truck, I'm like, damn,
- 1:45Speaker 4: your vision just changed.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah. So, without further ado, we got a very special
- 1:49Speaker 2: guest because Chief Edwards from Philadelphia North Philly to be specific.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Shout out to Philly. We had a lot of great
- 1:54Speaker 2: guests from Philly recently. We had well, we had Prince
- 1:57Speaker 2: down now and Danish you know they was the first one.
- 2:00Speaker 2: And then we had oh, Sean Bullard shout out to Sean.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Shout Sean Bullard for sure. And then we have Prince
- 2:08Speaker 2: Donelle and Danis Chanelle. Then we had Whallow to sixty
- 2:11Speaker 2: seven and we have big business shot the big business.
- 2:14Speaker 2: So this is keeping right in line. This is keeping
- 2:17Speaker 2: right in line with the Philly Tis. So yeah, so
- 2:22Speaker 2: he's ill. He started playing basketball and but now he's
- 2:27Speaker 2: known for the vending machine, the vendom machine king on
- 2:31Speaker 2: social media if you follow him, crazy following on social media,
- 2:35Speaker 2: and he teaches people about vending machines. So he owns
- 2:37Speaker 2: vendo machines himself, over twenty vendor machines that he owns himself,
- 2:41Speaker 2: and he's been doing it for quite some time. And
- 2:44Speaker 2: like I said, I'm excited to know about this because
- 2:46Speaker 2: everybody has seen vending machines like you always see it
- 2:49Speaker 2: in school and camp and recreation centers everywhere. There's always
- 2:53Speaker 2: vending machines right when it's like you never really think,
- 2:55Speaker 2: or at least I never really thought like that's the
- 2:57Speaker 2: actual viable business. But he makes money obviously doing it,
- 3:02Speaker 2: and he's teaching people how to do it. So we're
- 3:04Speaker 2: gonna get a full education on the vendom machine business. So,
- 3:07Speaker 2: first and foremost, thank you thank you for joining us.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Man, Thank y'all, thank y'all, yeah for sure.
- 3:12Speaker 2: So all right, so before we get into the details
- 3:15Speaker 2: of it, how'd you start, Like, because, like I said,
- 3:17Speaker 2: vendom machine is something.
- 3:18Speaker 5: That all of us see all the time.
- 3:20Speaker 2: We always see vendo machines, right, But what made you
- 3:23Speaker 2: actually take a step back and say, like, this is
- 3:26Speaker 2: actually something I can make money on.
- 3:29Speaker 5: Well, I mean, the main the main thing was, for
- 3:31Speaker 5: the for the most part, I was working a lot.
- 3:35Speaker 5: I was trying to look for something the supplement, you know,
- 3:37Speaker 5: my income now I was already getting that was passive,
- 3:40Speaker 5: so I wouldn't have to do more work. So you know,
- 3:43Speaker 5: that's what kind of led me to the vending machine thing.
- 3:45Speaker 5: But it initiated the thought. That thought initiated as far
- 3:49Speaker 5: as the idea of having a vending machine. When I
- 3:52Speaker 5: was younger, when I was playing basketball, it was a
- 3:56Speaker 5: recreation center. In particular, I used to always play that
- 3:58Speaker 5: on Sundays when we had practic this and during the
- 4:02Speaker 5: midst of the practice it was always a vending machine.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Lady will come out and change out the products and
- 4:09Speaker 5: the money from the gator rayed machine. So I always
- 4:12Speaker 5: saw her coming in and out and grabbing the money
- 4:15Speaker 5: and chasing out the products, and it was just something
- 4:16Speaker 5: I paid attention to because I was always noticed, like
- 4:19Speaker 5: she took a good amount of money that machine. So
- 4:22Speaker 5: I'm watching your pod, I was like, you know, I
- 4:24Speaker 5: wonder how much money is actually you know, and there
- 4:27Speaker 5: how much money she getting out. In my mind, I'm like, man,
- 4:29Speaker 5: I want one of those machines. But you know this
- 4:31Speaker 5: didn't happen until obviously years later because I was like
- 4:34Speaker 5: sixteen seventeen at that point in time. Now, you know
- 4:37Speaker 5: what's crazy.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I'm just thinking when you're telling that story, I don't
- 4:40Speaker 2: think I ever saw anybody taking I've seen people fill
- 4:43Speaker 2: up vending machines in my entire life. I don't think
- 4:46Speaker 2: I ever saw anybody take money out of a vending
- 4:48Speaker 2: machine before.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Maybe they do it like they don't want you to see.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, they might do it like three o'clock in the
- 4:52Speaker 2: morning when nobody's there.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Know that this dude's like.
- 4:55Speaker 5: They don't want you to see. That's the lesson I
- 4:57Speaker 5: learned too, is not to let people see what you're
- 4:59Speaker 5: taking out of that machine. Because I actually had one
- 5:01Speaker 5: one spot that I was working with. It was a motel,
- 5:05Speaker 5: you know, and the owner will always kind of peep
- 5:07Speaker 5: and watch what I was doing, and then you know,
- 5:09Speaker 5: he was seeing me taking the money out. Then one
- 5:10Speaker 5: day he was like, man, I want that machine. You know,
- 5:13Speaker 5: I ended up I ended up selling it to him
- 5:14Speaker 5: and it was one of my best spots. But it
- 5:15Speaker 5: was like, man, I'm not letting nobody else. I'm nobody
- 5:20Speaker 5: do a real smooth hold the bag up close to it.
- 5:24Speaker 5: So you know, I'm real careful for that. Now. I
- 5:26Speaker 5: don't let people actually see how I'm moving and taking
- 5:29Speaker 5: the money out. Filling it up is nothing, but I'm
- 5:31Speaker 5: careful with the money.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta be careful with that for sure. So
- 5:34Speaker 2: all right, so what's your journey to get your first
- 5:36Speaker 2: vending machine?
- 5:37Speaker 1: Like?
- 5:37Speaker 2: How that look like? What was what was the story
- 5:39Speaker 2: behind that?
- 5:41Speaker 5: The journey to get my first vending machine was actually
- 5:43Speaker 5: a two year process. So the idea was like something
- 5:47Speaker 5: I'm thinking, like, all right, I got the idea in
- 5:49Speaker 5: my head, I'm about to do it today, like, but
- 5:51Speaker 5: the actual process took a long time because I had
- 5:54Speaker 5: nobody really to teach me what I was doing, and
- 5:56Speaker 5: I was just kind of, you know, fumbling around to
- 5:58Speaker 5: figure it out. So when I made up my mind
- 6:01Speaker 5: that I actually wanted to get a vending machine. I
- 6:03Speaker 5: saved up some money. I figured I would get him.
- 6:06Speaker 5: From just some searching online. I found the company who
- 6:08Speaker 5: actually places machines and they sell you the machine like,
- 6:13Speaker 5: so I contacted them. They gave me the price. I
- 6:17Speaker 5: saved up that money.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It was.
- 6:18Speaker 5: It was only like probably thirty five hundred or something
- 6:20Speaker 5: like that. And they give me a location with a machine.
- 6:24Speaker 5: So I go to actually check out the spot it was.
- 6:28Speaker 5: It was a decent spot. It was a hotel downtown
- 6:30Speaker 5: in Philly. So I'm like, oh, yeah, this looks good,
- 6:33Speaker 5: like you know what I'm saying. Hotel should be great.
- 6:36Speaker 5: And then and the guy actually showed me where they
- 6:38Speaker 5: wanted the machine place. So I'm looking at the space.
- 6:41Speaker 5: I'm like, I don't think a Vendom machine is gonna
- 6:43Speaker 5: fit right there. I was like, there's no other way
- 6:44Speaker 5: we could know whether where we can put it it
- 6:46Speaker 5: was too small. Yeah, I'm like, can we put it
- 6:48Speaker 5: in the lobby or something like no, we want it
- 6:50Speaker 5: right here. And you know, so at that point in time,
- 6:53Speaker 5: I called the company that I was buying and stuff
- 6:55Speaker 5: the machine from. They were coming from Maryland, so I
- 6:59Speaker 5: called them like, yeah, I don't think the machine is
- 7:01Speaker 5: gonna fit in this space. You know that they're talking
- 7:03Speaker 5: about having a machine placed, we might have to go
- 7:05Speaker 5: a different route. They was like, no, it's gonna fit
- 7:08Speaker 5: with trust us. You know we've been doing this a
- 7:10Speaker 5: long time. Don't worry about it. You got it.
- 7:14Speaker 4: I mean the different type of machines is this machine
- 7:17Speaker 4: selling snacks sodas.
- 7:18Speaker 5: So this this was a combo machine. So they thing was, Okay,
- 7:21Speaker 5: it's a small machine and it should fit in any space.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Like this was one of the smallest machines that we got,
- 7:27Speaker 5: and it's gonna be good. I'm looking like, but it's
- 7:29Speaker 5: not going to be good. And this is what actually
- 7:31Speaker 5: taught This has taught me a lesson down the line,
- 7:32Speaker 5: Like you know, before you actually go out and buy machines,
- 7:35Speaker 5: you know, you gotta figure out your measurements and everything first.
- 7:38Speaker 5: But you know, so I tell them that they take
- 7:41Speaker 5: that too. I wur drive from Maryland, come all the
- 7:42Speaker 5: way down here. Long story short, the machine doesn't fit,
- 7:46Speaker 5: So it doesn't fit. I get my money back. Now
- 7:49Speaker 5: I'm back at the drawing board trying to figure out
- 7:51Speaker 5: wahama get another machine. So I ended up blowing some
- 7:56Speaker 5: of that money. Obviously my podcast work. Yeah, that didn't work.
- 8:01Speaker 5: You know, I'm buying this, I'm buying that, and I'm like,
- 8:03Speaker 5: I got a couple of dollars left, but I still
- 8:06Speaker 5: I still want I still need to do something. So
- 8:08Speaker 5: I ended up spending about four hundred dollars on some
- 8:10Speaker 5: candy machines. So when I say candy machines, I'm talking
- 8:13Speaker 5: about gunball machines that you put the quarters in, you turned, yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 5: you get the money out. The ones I got were
- 8:21Speaker 5: called U turn so they were called U turn machines.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Is that the ones like I put the quarters spin
- 8:26Speaker 4: spending in right, right?
- 8:28Speaker 5: He had the gunballs, skintus, peanut m and ms.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Those always seemed really unsanitary to me because there's no
- 8:35Speaker 2: there's no packaging on it. It just comes out as.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I've been in barbershops. But I've never seen them change.
- 8:41Speaker 4: So I'm like, yo, how some money. I'm not even
- 8:43Speaker 4: thinking that you're making money off this. I'm just like,
- 8:44Speaker 4: this is like a nice little treat until nobody changed.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Yeah, So I mean so that's pretty much where I started.
- 8:51Speaker 5: I brought I brought four of them from a guy
- 8:54Speaker 5: who had a whole bunch of them, but he was
- 8:57Speaker 5: I guess liquidate in some of his He had like
- 8:59Speaker 5: forty of them he was selling. He was selling like twenty.
- 9:01Speaker 5: I brought four from him. I had one place in
- 9:05Speaker 5: a barber shop, like you should say it a recreation center,
- 9:09Speaker 5: and I think it was a piece of store.
- 9:11Speaker 2: A piece of store, and he's in gumball machine.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Gumball machines, So that in place in a in a
- 9:15Speaker 5: piece of store, and the other one I ended up
- 9:18Speaker 5: not placing at that time. I just kept it in
- 9:19Speaker 5: my house. So I started with those, and I've seen
- 9:23Speaker 5: the money back off of that, which was like a
- 9:25Speaker 5: little you know, it was a little something like a
- 9:27Speaker 5: little extra spending money, but it was nothing really to
- 9:29Speaker 5: move the needle. So I'm like, man, if I could
- 9:31Speaker 5: just get a couple more of these, you know, maybe
- 9:33Speaker 5: how much was that like a month?
- 9:35Speaker 4: Like?
- 9:35Speaker 5: So my average machine for the gumballs was like, uh,
- 9:39Speaker 5: I was getting like fifty dollars a machine. So I'm like,
- 9:42Speaker 5: a something look like one fifty fifty dollars. I ain't
- 9:45Speaker 5: gotta really do nothing for it. I was, you know,
- 9:47Speaker 5: fill the machine up and I'll come back at the
- 9:49Speaker 5: end of the month and pick it up, you know.
- 9:51Speaker 3: So it was easy.
- 9:52Speaker 4: And the house spread out of there because I know
- 9:54Speaker 4: you talk about location, you won't get into that.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Are they in the same area or they spread out throughout.
- 9:58Speaker 5: The city, same area. At this point, they're all in
- 10:01Speaker 5: the same area, so you just go collect. Yeah. And
- 10:04Speaker 5: they were all in places because you know, the way
- 10:06Speaker 5: I got my first ones is this networking talking people.
- 10:08Speaker 5: I know, they were all in places already already did
- 10:11Speaker 5: like I already go already, I already spend time with
- 10:13Speaker 5: that recreation center. That's where I played basketball at the barbershop.
- 10:15Speaker 5: It was in with the barbershop. I want to when
- 10:17Speaker 5: a piece of store was down the stree from my house.
- 10:18Speaker 5: So it was just like you know, convenient. You have
- 10:21Speaker 5: to watch some like kicking machine, like yo man, easy, easy.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 5: I had people try to put stuff in the machine
- 10:27Speaker 5: and turn and I just watch them like and sometimes
- 10:29Speaker 5: it will work. And actually in one situation with the
- 10:31Speaker 5: recreation center, the kids knew how to get something out
- 10:35Speaker 5: without putting a quarter in there. I can never fair
- 10:37Speaker 5: to this day. I don't know what they were doing
- 10:38Speaker 5: because I thought it was broke, but it wasn't broken.
- 10:41Speaker 5: They just had some type of trick, like so we.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Had a dollar trick in high school with the vending machines.
- 10:45Speaker 3: We'll talk about that. After I tried to down a
- 10:48Speaker 3: trick with a vending machine, we can't talk about that.
- 10:50Speaker 2: So all right, So, so, so you're making a little
- 10:53Speaker 2: not really making any money, but it's like whatever. But
- 10:55Speaker 2: then you realize that vending machines is actually where the
- 10:58Speaker 2: money's at right.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Now yet now yet, So so with the candy machines,
- 11:02Speaker 5: I get to the point where, all right now, it
- 11:04Speaker 5: ain't making no money. But I'm like, yo, if I
- 11:06Speaker 5: if I could just multiply the amount of machines I have,
- 11:09Speaker 5: then maybe I could see something. So I ended up
- 11:12Speaker 5: long story short, I kept buying those candy machines to
- 11:15Speaker 5: the point where I have around twenty of them, like
- 11:16Speaker 5: twenty twenty five. And now at this point that's spread
- 11:19Speaker 5: out throughout the city. So you're thinking, like four, got
- 11:21Speaker 5: you one fifty. You multiply those, you probably get like
- 11:24Speaker 5: a child. Let's say you get twenty, you probably get
- 11:26Speaker 5: like a thousand exactly. I was getting around nine hundred
- 11:29Speaker 5: to one thousand dollars a month off off of those
- 11:31Speaker 5: twenty machines off. So now that now that was actually
- 11:34Speaker 5: that was moving the scale, and I feel that, like
- 11:36Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. So I'm like, all right,
- 11:37Speaker 5: Well at that point, I'm like comfortable, you know, I'm cool.
- 11:40Speaker 5: I'm just keep buying these little gumball machines, you know,
- 11:43Speaker 5: keep doing what I'm doing. But then I had a
- 11:46Speaker 5: I got it. I met when I want to go
- 11:48Speaker 5: buy a new one, a k new gumball machine. The
- 11:50Speaker 5: guy was doing vendor machines. I guess he had started
- 11:54Speaker 5: help with gunball machines hself. He was like, man, why
- 11:56Speaker 5: you don't never get into the you know, buying vendor machines.
- 11:59Speaker 5: This is part At this point, this was like the
- 12:00Speaker 5: fourth or fifth gumball machine I had brought up with me,
- 12:03Speaker 5: and I'm like, uh, you know, I thought about that before.
- 12:06Speaker 5: I tried it before it didn't really work out. And
- 12:09Speaker 5: I'm kind of comfortable now just doing these because it's easy.
- 12:12Speaker 5: And I know if I get into the soda machines
- 12:14Speaker 5: and the vendom machines, it's more so more work. And
- 12:17Speaker 5: I wasn't trying to do more work because I was
- 12:19Speaker 5: already working enough at that time with my job so,
- 12:23Speaker 5: but he talked me into it, and that's the point
- 12:25Speaker 5: where I got into the actual Vendom machines and ended
- 12:29Speaker 5: up getting brought a soder machine off of him and
- 12:33Speaker 5: got a place in a hotel, a motel.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Actually, what was the price of that.
- 12:38Speaker 5: The price of that, it was nowe hundred dollars for
- 12:40Speaker 5: a soda machine. That's really one month with gumbos. Yeah,
- 12:44Speaker 5: basically like a whole month's work.
- 12:45Speaker 2: For a I'm sorry, So you get that, you put
- 12:48Speaker 2: it in the in the motel, and how does that
- 12:50Speaker 2: work out for you?
- 12:51Speaker 5: So it actually started off slow, looking at you know
- 12:55Speaker 5: what I what I what I get now? Like it started,
- 12:57Speaker 5: it started off slow, but to me it didn't seem bad.
- 12:59Speaker 5: So that first two weeks I had it in there,
- 13:02Speaker 5: the soda machine in there, I made about fifty dollars.
- 13:05Speaker 5: But at that point in time with the gunballs, the
- 13:07Speaker 5: gun balls took me a whole month to make fifty
- 13:09Speaker 5: dollars off of one machine. So I'm like, all right,
- 13:11Speaker 5: well if I get fifty in two weeks, maybe two
- 13:14Speaker 5: weeks I get one hundred, which is double what I'm
- 13:15Speaker 5: doing with the gun ball. So it ain't that bad,
- 13:17Speaker 5: like it ain't nothing I live off of, but it
- 13:19Speaker 5: isn't that bad. But after I got into like that
- 13:23Speaker 5: second and third month that the Vendom machine got up
- 13:26Speaker 5: to the point where it was doing around six fifty
- 13:28Speaker 5: seven hundred dollars just off of that machine for that month.
- 13:32Speaker 5: So that's when it kind of like kind of hit
- 13:34Speaker 5: me like, all right, well this might be so this
- 13:36Speaker 5: is something different. Yeah, I'm saying no, try leanings towards
- 13:39Speaker 5: more towards that. And I ended up getting another machine.
- 13:42Speaker 5: I got a snack machine and had it placed in
- 13:45Speaker 5: the same place in the same hotel, and the two
- 13:48Speaker 5: machines in the same place, flat two machines in the
- 13:50Speaker 5: same place, And that when did the exact same thing
- 13:53Speaker 5: started off slow and then it picked up to the
- 13:54Speaker 5: point where it was going around seven hundred dollars a month.
- 13:57Speaker 5: So from that one location, I was earning about fourth
- 14:00Speaker 5: fourteen hundred you know, gross.
- 14:03Speaker 2: From two from two from two machines.
- 14:05Speaker 4: From two machines, is that fourteen hundred supplements in what
- 14:07Speaker 4: you're doing from your actual job.
- 14:09Speaker 5: So my actual job at that point, without overtime, I
- 14:12Speaker 5: was only getting about sixteen hundred.
- 14:13Speaker 2: So now so so now you got almost you equaling
- 14:17Speaker 2: your job. You're not doing nothing just from two machines.
- 14:21Speaker 5: Right, and that's what really, that's that's when it hit
- 14:23Speaker 5: me like like this is like this is something you
- 14:25Speaker 5: need to do, like get get more, get more of
- 14:28Speaker 5: these and you know, and grow and then you know,
- 14:31Speaker 5: and at that time, I just wanted out of my
- 14:32Speaker 5: job so bad. It's like if I get more of these,
- 14:34Speaker 5: I get enough, you know, I could stop working and
- 14:37Speaker 5: then you know, enjoy some some free time, like you know,
- 14:40Speaker 5: that was my thing, is chasing you know, freedom dope.
- 14:43Speaker 2: And then you said and then from there you just
- 14:46Speaker 2: went all in. Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 5: So from then, from from that point I found I
- 14:50Speaker 5: got a high school, got that got that spot, ended
- 14:56Speaker 5: up getting another. I had two machines placed in that
- 14:58Speaker 5: high school. Now the high school did the same thing
- 15:00Speaker 5: that that motel did as far as numbers, very close anyway.
- 15:05Speaker 5: And then so that point I'm past when I'm getting
- 15:08Speaker 5: at work, and then I had another spot contact being
- 15:11Speaker 5: oneted a machine place and at that point I left
- 15:13Speaker 5: my job.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Was it your former high school? Because I know the
- 15:16Speaker 4: barber shop exactly? So you went back to your phone exactly.
- 15:19Speaker 2: So how did what age were you when you stopped
- 15:21Speaker 2: when you left your job twenty six, So twenty six
- 15:25Speaker 2: you go out and you're just a full time entrepreneur.
- 15:26Speaker 2: How to feel? How to feel be a full time entrepreneur?
- 15:29Speaker 5: You know what? It felt good, but it doesn't. The
- 15:32Speaker 5: difference is, well, when you're working, it's like, all right,
- 15:35Speaker 5: well I know what I'm getting. When you're an entrepreneur
- 15:39Speaker 5: and you're just out here, it's like, yo, you gotta
- 15:43Speaker 5: you just you gotta grind it, like because you don't
- 15:45Speaker 5: you don't know what you're going to get now with
- 15:46Speaker 5: the machines, it's pretty it was pretty stable in terms
- 15:49Speaker 5: of income, but when stuff slowed down, I still my
- 15:51Speaker 5: bills are still do Like, my stuff is still the same.
- 15:53Speaker 5: So it's just like you gotta learn how to budget
- 15:55Speaker 5: that money different because it's not it's not going to
- 15:58Speaker 5: come in on a consistent basis, So you kind of
- 16:00Speaker 5: gotta get a feel for like as the months go by,
- 16:03Speaker 5: you know, some much is gonna be higher, some muth
- 16:05Speaker 5: is gonna be lower. Once you figure that pattern out,
- 16:07Speaker 5: it's easier, but then it's like you kind of got
- 16:09Speaker 5: to go through the rough times to figure that out.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah, nah, I'm I'm glad you said that, because that's
- 16:14Speaker 2: that's true in any business. It's like as a business owner,
- 16:16Speaker 2: as an entrepreneur, it's like walking a tight rope with
- 16:19Speaker 2: no safety in that like you never know one one's
- 16:23Speaker 2: false move in your your screws. And it's like people
- 16:26Speaker 2: don't understand that anxiety unless you're an entrepreneur, right, because that's.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Like you said, you got a job.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Mean you have anxiety as your job, which you can
- 16:33Speaker 2: get fired, but it's different because like all you got
- 16:34Speaker 2: to do is show up and you're gonna get a
- 16:36Speaker 2: pay check.
- 16:37Speaker 3: And before some people they got perform.
- 16:40Speaker 5: At the job. Sometimes I'm just saying, you know sometimes
- 16:47Speaker 5: sometimes yeah, but you know to say that, you know,
- 16:49Speaker 5: I ended up and you know, you know with what
- 16:51Speaker 5: you're saying, Like so at that point where I was
- 16:53Speaker 5: doing that, I got to the point where I'm doing
- 16:57Speaker 5: it full time and then whatever could go wrong went wrong.
- 17:01Speaker 5: So I had saved up a good portion of money,
- 17:03Speaker 5: like before I even quit my job, but I ended
- 17:06Speaker 5: up getting married. So I got married. I spent that right,
- 17:09Speaker 5: So I'm like, it's cool, Like the way my money
- 17:13Speaker 5: coming in, it's like I'm gonna get it right back.
- 17:15Speaker 5: But then as soon as I as soon as we
- 17:16Speaker 5: got finished the wedding and everything, I lost my top spots.
- 17:19Speaker 5: So I lost my where I lost my main time
- 17:21Speaker 5: spots to my motel.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Motel got closed down, got got.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Shut down, so that that was a hard hit. And
- 17:26Speaker 5: then the summer hit, my school slowed down, so right,
- 17:31Speaker 5: the teachers aren't there, So the school goes from making
- 17:34Speaker 5: a thousand dollars or whatever, you know, fourteen goes down
- 17:39Speaker 5: to like four hundred, soot, you know something cris like
- 17:43Speaker 5: Now that's like, man, I gotta go back to work.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Like so at that point I went back to work.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Put you know, my tub was from my leg went
- 17:50Speaker 5: back to work, and then you know, started started working,
- 17:53Speaker 5: saving and trying to rebuild, and I started getting more spots,
- 17:56Speaker 5: and you know, so on and so, and I like
- 17:59Speaker 5: what you said.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Also you said I saw on Instagram you said why
- 18:02Speaker 2: have a second job when you can start your first business?
- 18:05Speaker 5: Right?
- 18:06Speaker 2: And that's true, Like as far as like side hustle,
- 18:09Speaker 2: It's like people use the word side hustle all the time,
- 18:11Speaker 2: but it's like what does that really mean? Right? It
- 18:13Speaker 2: means like like you said, as far as you might
- 18:15Speaker 2: have a regular job, but that doesn't mean you can't
- 18:19Speaker 2: be an entrepreneur either. It's like you can create another
- 18:22Speaker 2: income stream for yourself while you're still working in your
- 18:25Speaker 2: other job until you feel comfortable jumping off the porch
- 18:29Speaker 2: and just doing that full time if you want to.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Yeah, And then that same note, I think you have
- 18:33Speaker 5: to get to the point where your job not your job,
- 18:35Speaker 5: where your business is making enough to actually pay you,
- 18:39Speaker 5: because it's one thing that's that you getting the money in,
- 18:40Speaker 5: like is it enough to pay you? So that's kind
- 18:43Speaker 5: of where I was because the way I was I
- 18:46Speaker 5: was growing my business is I was taken at that
- 18:49Speaker 5: at this point, the way I was growing, I was
- 18:50Speaker 5: taking my money from my job right and I was
- 18:53Speaker 5: using that for my bills and anything I got off
- 18:55Speaker 5: the machines I was putting directly it get more machines
- 18:58Speaker 5: and it's more integral, get more machines than it kind
- 19:00Speaker 5: of helped me grow faster versus while I was just
- 19:02Speaker 5: doing that. If I had just kept doing that this
- 19:04Speaker 5: doing that byself, it was like it would have been
- 19:06Speaker 5: a slower pace in order to grow.
- 19:08Speaker 4: We've been saying that all week, man, and when we
- 19:10Speaker 4: talk about multiple streams of income, we always by the
- 19:12Speaker 4: theory like one is too close to none.
- 19:14Speaker 3: So if you got one, that means that goes away,
- 19:16Speaker 3: you're done. Right. The more you can make, the more
- 19:19Speaker 3: you can have, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:20Speaker 2: No, it's a good idea. And that's something I just
- 19:22Speaker 2: thought about as far as like, if you're working a
- 19:24Speaker 2: regular job and you have a side business or a
- 19:28Speaker 2: business outside of your regular job, Yeah, that business, you
- 19:32Speaker 2: might not actually be able to get any money from
- 19:34Speaker 2: that business if you actually are growing it. But that's
- 19:36Speaker 2: another benefit of having the job as well, because now
- 19:39Speaker 2: you're not pressured like if you just only an entrepreneur,
- 19:42Speaker 2: you're pressured, like you got a family to take care of.
- 19:45Speaker 2: You got you know what im saying, You got bills
- 19:46Speaker 2: or mortgage rent, whatever. You can't just say all right, guys,
- 19:49Speaker 2: we're not gonna eat this month because I'll put the
- 19:51Speaker 2: money back into the business. Like, so that takes a
- 19:54Speaker 2: little bit of pressure off you. And like you said,
- 19:57Speaker 2: it's all about it's never about you can't run anybody
- 20:01Speaker 2: else's race. So like a lot of time you see
- 20:02Speaker 2: on social media and it's like people try to compare
- 20:04Speaker 2: themselves to other people and it's like you don't know
- 20:07Speaker 2: a what's real or what's not, and B you got
- 20:10Speaker 2: to move at your pace, so you might not be
- 20:12Speaker 2: time for you to just completely quit your job yet.
- 20:15Speaker 2: And there's nothing wrong with that, like.
- 20:17Speaker 3: I'm living right now.
- 20:18Speaker 5: I think it's it's more it's a mindset thing too,
- 20:20Speaker 5: because I think, you know, the reason I even post
- 20:22Speaker 5: stuff like that is because it's not really like people
- 20:25Speaker 5: don't have the knowledge or you know, can't do this
- 20:29Speaker 5: or can't do that. It's like they got you got.
- 20:30Speaker 5: It starts with the mindset. You gotta have the right
- 20:32Speaker 5: mindset to look at things the right way, you know
- 20:34Speaker 5: what I'm saying. I know another post that that I
- 20:37Speaker 5: put up, and this is something that is it's been
- 20:40Speaker 5: bothering me because people commented on it every day and
- 20:42Speaker 5: I probably made about three or four videos about it,
- 20:44Speaker 5: and people still comment like saying, like, so the thing
- 20:47Speaker 5: is one hundred k right, and then if you want
- 20:50Speaker 5: to make one hundred cared a year, and it breaks down,
- 20:53Speaker 5: all right, what if you want to make one hundred
- 20:54Speaker 5: cared year? You gotta make this a month, this week
- 20:57Speaker 5: or day day, right, And they looking at it like
- 20:59Speaker 5: and they'll say stuff like all right, well, what about
- 21:03Speaker 5: what about uh like the expenses or what about this?
- 21:07Speaker 5: What about that? Oh? How are you working twenty four hours?
- 21:10Speaker 5: I'm like, well, you're just looking at it wrong. Like
- 21:13Speaker 5: who says those numbers aren't profit? Like who says that
- 21:15Speaker 5: hundred k isn't it could be you could make a
- 21:17Speaker 5: hundred profit, you know what I'm saying. Who says you
- 21:19Speaker 5: have to work twenty four hours?
- 21:20Speaker 3: Like?
- 21:20Speaker 5: Then in this case with this, you know, benis in particular,
- 21:23Speaker 5: if I have machines out there, I'm not working. The
- 21:25Speaker 5: machines are doing to work for me.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I'm just got to make money while you sleep.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Right, Joe. So people people don't look at it that way.
- 21:32Speaker 5: You have to look at it, you know, the right
- 21:34Speaker 5: way in order to be successful.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Well, everybody's an expert on social media, and they always
- 21:39Speaker 2: look to see like the wrong thing. They'd be like,
- 21:41Speaker 2: well everything like oh you misspelled this, Like you get
- 21:45Speaker 2: the point of it?
- 21:45Speaker 5: What about the gas?
- 21:49Speaker 2: There's always a critic. But all right, So that's that's
- 21:52Speaker 2: the backstory. So now the next second we're going to
- 21:54Speaker 2: go into what ey L is known for. We're gonna
- 21:56Speaker 2: break it down and answer some questions and give some
- 21:59Speaker 2: some free games as how people can you know, get
- 22:01Speaker 2: information on the vending machine business. All right, so now
- 22:04Speaker 2: we're going to get into some details. So all right,
- 22:06Speaker 2: so for vending machines, right, first question is how much
- 22:10Speaker 2: does the vending machine costs?
- 22:12Speaker 5: So it could range. So I mean the cheapest you're
- 22:15Speaker 5: going to find it is always going to be somewhere
- 22:17Speaker 5: around one thousand dollars if you're using a used machine,
- 22:20Speaker 5: versus if you're coming in with something new, you're looking
- 22:22Speaker 5: at about five brand five grand for a brand new
- 22:24Speaker 5: one brand like brand new in the top of the line,
- 22:28Speaker 5: new or used.
- 22:29Speaker 4: I didn't even know that there were new use machines.
- 22:32Speaker 4: How where do we even get this?
- 22:33Speaker 5: Like?
- 22:34Speaker 3: Where am I finding a new machine?
- 22:36Speaker 5: Where do I go? So, I mean new machines you
- 22:38Speaker 5: could get from like the man manufacturers actually making like coke,
- 22:42Speaker 5: PEPSI like those type of places you could buy and
- 22:45Speaker 5: trade from them.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Those are where the new machines come from. And we're
- 22:48Speaker 4: talking about actual what I mean, there's different types. We're
- 22:51Speaker 4: talking about food banded machines.
- 22:52Speaker 5: So we're talking about soda snacks. They do have food,
- 22:56Speaker 5: they have ice cream machines. There's a lot of different
- 22:58Speaker 5: different types so you're talking about used machines, which is
- 23:02Speaker 5: you know, I use use machines, and that's what I
- 23:03Speaker 5: recommend everybody else to use, mainly because it's easier to
- 23:07Speaker 5: maintain and it's a lot more affordable. Like the price
- 23:10Speaker 5: is nowhere close to you know, five thousand dollars. You
- 23:12Speaker 5: can get a used machine for around nine hundred, which
- 23:14Speaker 5: is what my first machine was. And you could find
- 23:18Speaker 5: those on places such as like crackslists, offer up Amazon,
- 23:22Speaker 5: let go, it might be a little more Amazon, And
- 23:26Speaker 5: then the only reason I wouldn't I would say not
- 23:29Speaker 5: to get it off like a platform where it's like online,
- 23:32Speaker 5: because I would recommend you checking the machine out first.
- 23:34Speaker 5: You don't want to get it and get it and
- 23:36Speaker 5: get it where you don't put it and then it's
- 23:39Speaker 5: not working right and then you have to ship it
- 23:40Speaker 5: back like that. That's a long process.
- 23:42Speaker 2: You said, let go, Yeah, what's what's that?
- 23:45Speaker 5: So it's an app?
- 23:46Speaker 2: It's an app?
- 23:46Speaker 5: Yeah, so let go off for a Facebook market. But
- 23:50Speaker 5: it just depends that. And another thing is it matters
- 23:54Speaker 5: is how are you how are you trying to scale this?
- 23:57Speaker 5: Do you wanted this to be on some side hustle,
- 24:00Speaker 5: passive income stuff, or do you want to grow it
- 24:02Speaker 5: into like a full time business, because if you're just
- 24:06Speaker 5: doing it as a side hustle, just tarned some extra
- 24:07Speaker 5: baldo on the sign, you know, using those resources such
- 24:11Speaker 5: as like you know cress is fine. But if you
- 24:14Speaker 5: really want to do it like for a time, you
- 24:15Speaker 5: want to find like what I what I call vending warehouses.
- 24:19Speaker 5: So a vending warehouse is just a vending company that
- 24:24Speaker 5: is large enough to sell you vending machines. So that's
- 24:26Speaker 5: kind of how we make our money. On the back end.
- 24:29Speaker 5: I might have some machines setting around and then our
- 24:31Speaker 5: cellos to anybody who's looking to buy it.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Where do you find vending warehouses?
- 24:36Speaker 5: So you would have to google vending machine companies in
- 24:39Speaker 5: your area and then contact them and see if they.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It's all like regional, it's all regional.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Yeah, after I order it, I'm thinking to myself, right
- 24:47Speaker 4: now I'm ordering the machine, Uh, probably need the location first, right,
- 24:51Speaker 4: because they're going to send that to your house?
- 24:53Speaker 3: Right, So do they send it to What happens after
- 24:55Speaker 3: I order it?
- 24:56Speaker 5: So you could you could pick it the machine up
- 24:59Speaker 5: first for our our I recommend to people always always
- 25:02Speaker 5: always get the machine after you have the location. For
- 25:05Speaker 5: multiple reasons, because if you go out and you get excited, Okay,
- 25:08Speaker 5: I'm going to vending thing. I see a cheap Solda machine.
- 25:11Speaker 5: This is a great deal. You buy it. Maybe you
- 25:13Speaker 5: got it in your garage or something like that. You
- 25:16Speaker 5: don't know what type of location you're gonna get first,
- 25:18Speaker 5: so that means you don't know what that location is
- 25:20Speaker 5: going to need. Maybe they already got a sort of machine,
- 25:22Speaker 5: maybe they need a slack machine won't fit right, And
- 25:25Speaker 5: then that's another thing. You don't know what the measurements
- 25:29Speaker 5: are for their space they have to put the machine,
- 25:31Speaker 5: So it could be the machine you make you could
- 25:34Speaker 5: have maybe too big, maybe it's too big to fit
- 25:36Speaker 5: through the doorway, Maybe it's too big for the space
- 25:38Speaker 5: that they actually want the machine. So it's always best
- 25:40Speaker 5: to wait until you get that location you know on
- 25:43Speaker 5: a paper, and then you go out and get your machine.
- 25:46Speaker 5: But on the flip side, you also want to know
- 25:48Speaker 5: your resources first, Like you want to know where you're
- 25:51Speaker 5: getting that machine from prior to you know, finding your location.
- 25:55Speaker 2: So like what's some typical they like typical profit margins,
- 25:58Speaker 2: like how much money can a person expect to make
- 26:01Speaker 2: off of like one machine.
- 26:02Speaker 5: So an average a good location, well you'll see around
- 26:06Speaker 5: five hundred dollars for the foot per machine. Right, most
- 26:09Speaker 5: locations have two machines, you know what I'm saying, unless
- 26:11Speaker 5: it's like a combo if most of the time, if
- 26:13Speaker 5: you'll find a combo machine, it's in a smaller in
- 26:16Speaker 5: a smaller space because they can't fit two machines, or
- 26:19Speaker 5: it's because maybe it's a slower that has slower traffic,
- 26:23Speaker 5: lower traffic, and you don't want to put two machines
- 26:25Speaker 5: in there, you know that type of situation.
- 26:27Speaker 2: So like a thousand dollars if you have two machines
- 26:30Speaker 2: and one location, Yeah, that's about it.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Right. When you have to find locations, you obviously looked
- 26:34Speaker 4: at your life. You said, look, I played ball here,
- 26:36Speaker 4: I'm gonna put one here. That's my high school, that's
- 26:38Speaker 4: my barbershop. What does the average person have to do
- 26:40Speaker 4: in terms of finding locations?
- 26:42Speaker 5: So step one now now to be honest with y'all,
- 26:45Speaker 5: Like I had experience in like different marketing before beforehand,
- 26:50Speaker 5: so I was already kind of seasoned season with UH
- 26:55Speaker 5: networking and more and reaching people and calling all that
- 26:58Speaker 5: type of stuff. Huh, doing something I did, do whole something,
- 27:01Speaker 5: So I real estate. Yeah, so I used those same
- 27:05Speaker 5: type of tactics to find locations because it was I
- 27:07Speaker 5: learned a lot from actually going out and trying to
- 27:10Speaker 5: find properties, you know what I'm saying. When I was
- 27:12Speaker 5: doing the whole selling thing. So the first thing I
- 27:14Speaker 5: did was network. So I reached out to everybody around me,
- 27:17Speaker 5: all my friends, all my family members, let them know
- 27:20Speaker 5: what I was doing. And this through doing that, it
- 27:22Speaker 5: led me to having like my first few locations, you
- 27:25Speaker 5: know what I'm saying. So that's how I ended up
- 27:26Speaker 5: getting a school like you this name, which is my
- 27:29Speaker 5: prior high school. I talked to them, you know, they
- 27:33Speaker 5: let me place a vending machine in there, and it
- 27:35Speaker 5: led me to you know, getting a few other spots.
- 27:37Speaker 2: You know, I'm just thinking about it. A lot of
- 27:39Speaker 2: places that I Yeah, they have two vendom machines, like
- 27:42Speaker 2: a community center, a school. Yeah, you have two vending machines.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I never thought about that before. I mean, or try
- 27:50Speaker 2: to cut you off. You can have two vending machines
- 27:53Speaker 2: right next to each other, Like one is sodas and drinks,
- 27:56Speaker 2: the other one is candies and chips.
- 27:59Speaker 5: And stuff. They always like right next to right next
- 28:01Speaker 5: to each other.
- 28:01Speaker 2: But that's not bad you think about it, like a
- 28:03Speaker 2: thousand dollars, that's like you could be getting rental income,
- 28:08Speaker 2: but it's a lot less overhead as far as buying
- 28:10Speaker 2: a home.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Yeah, so that was what I was gonna say. Two things.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Well, first of when of these big corporations, like if
- 28:16Speaker 4: I see a Coca Cola machine, right, that's a vendor machine?
- 28:19Speaker 3: Can I purchase that from it? Or is the corporation
- 28:21Speaker 3: putting that in the location?
- 28:22Speaker 4: Because you could have two vendom machines and then they
- 28:24Speaker 4: have all co products?
- 28:25Speaker 3: Can you purchase that?
- 28:26Speaker 5: Can you purchase it from from like Coca Cola?
- 28:29Speaker 3: Is that like a thing? Can you get a vendom
- 28:30Speaker 3: machine from a corporation.
- 28:33Speaker 5: You're talking about as far as have if the machine
- 28:35Speaker 5: is placed somewhere or if there is manufacturing the machines.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Well, so I'm thinking in terms of I have my
- 28:41Speaker 4: vendom machine, right, I have two of them there, and
- 28:43Speaker 4: then there's.
- 28:43Speaker 5: Like a coke machine those coke products.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Is that something that like the average person can purchase
- 28:47Speaker 4: or is just straight from the corporation?
- 28:49Speaker 5: So so all right, so coke does Coke actually places
- 28:52Speaker 5: machines themselves. So but what they'll do is they don't
- 28:57Speaker 5: they actually just will place the machine, right, But the
- 29:02Speaker 5: thing is the person they would have to like charge
- 29:05Speaker 5: a certain amount the in products. So the products. Once
- 29:09Speaker 5: you buy a certain amount of products from from Coke,
- 29:12Speaker 5: they'll play they get you they get a place of
- 29:13Speaker 5: VD machine for free, so and then they'll service it
- 29:16Speaker 5: or whatever. Like. So if you're talking about like if
- 29:19Speaker 5: that machine is there, most more than likely your machine
- 29:22Speaker 5: won't be there because they'll have some type of contract
- 29:24Speaker 5: with Coca Cola and they're not gonna let nobody else
- 29:26Speaker 5: in there.
- 29:27Speaker 2: So as far as location, because I know you said
- 29:29Speaker 2: that you had a couple of different keys, foot traffic, isolation, uh,
- 29:37Speaker 2: waiting rooms, so all of these different things. But before
- 29:42Speaker 2: you even get to that, how do you approach somebody
- 29:45Speaker 2: to put a vending machine in their place?
- 29:46Speaker 1: Like?
- 29:47Speaker 2: All right, so you you see a school, like, what's
- 29:52Speaker 2: the process to say, hey, can I put a vending
- 29:53Speaker 2: machine here?
- 29:54Speaker 3: I talked to the principal, Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Like how does that work?
- 29:56Speaker 5: So that's that's a good question. That's a lot of
- 29:58Speaker 5: questions everybody ask us. But at all I really do
- 30:01Speaker 5: is all approach. Whoever the receptionist is that they're that
- 30:04Speaker 5: first point in contact, and I'll ask them who I
- 30:07Speaker 5: need to speak to to place a machine here, So
- 30:10Speaker 5: it's usually the person that everybody usually has a person
- 30:13Speaker 5: who's in charge of doing business. So the high school
- 30:16Speaker 5: as a you know, a business manager, I had to
- 30:18Speaker 5: talk to them. So if you're if I'm going into
- 30:21Speaker 5: motel with something, most of the time they have a
- 30:22Speaker 5: business manager that you talk to them. So it's just
- 30:25Speaker 5: about asking that first point of contact. Get you know, obviously,
- 30:28Speaker 5: if you can find a manager or something like that,
- 30:30Speaker 5: reach you, you could reach and but then ask that
- 30:32Speaker 5: person who's the person who's that I have to talk to?
- 30:35Speaker 5: That actually makes the decision.
- 30:36Speaker 4: So once you get in the high school, you get
- 30:38Speaker 4: into the recreation center, is there a fee that you
- 30:40Speaker 4: have to pay for being there or it's just part
- 30:43Speaker 4: of the profit margin you have to give to the places?
- 30:44Speaker 3: Like how's that work?
- 30:45Speaker 5: So it's all about from my experience, it's all about
- 30:49Speaker 5: how you get that how you get that spot. So
- 30:52Speaker 5: if you have you can have different resources you're using
- 30:56Speaker 5: to get locations. Right, if one thing that you could
- 30:59Speaker 5: do is you out, you go out yourself and you
- 31:02Speaker 5: actually look for locations, like you know, when we talk
- 31:05Speaker 5: about the whole s other thing, it's called like driving
- 31:08Speaker 5: for dollars, Like you're heard of that term, right, So
- 31:11Speaker 5: that that's a method you go out driving around. I
- 31:13Speaker 5: actually found the laundrymat the other day just driving around.
- 31:16Speaker 5: I wasn't even looking for it, but I just happened
- 31:18Speaker 5: to see it, and actually I put it on Instagram,
- 31:20Speaker 5: so I put it on a lot just to show
- 31:21Speaker 5: people like this is like, you know, how easy it
- 31:24Speaker 5: is to find something if you're paying attention to what's
- 31:25Speaker 5: around you. So that's one method. And another method is
- 31:30Speaker 5: like cold calling, which is you just make a list
- 31:32Speaker 5: of multiple places and that that may be suitable for
- 31:37Speaker 5: a vendor machine in your area that you're looking at
- 31:40Speaker 5: place one like using zip codes or whatever, and you know,
- 31:43Speaker 5: and you just call them. If you're doing that method.
- 31:45Speaker 5: Most of the time I found when you found it,
- 31:47Speaker 5: like a location like that, they ask for a commissioner
- 31:49Speaker 5: because you're asking to come into their space and do
- 31:51Speaker 5: business like you're asking for something from them. Right now.
- 31:55Speaker 5: On the flip side, you get a website right the top,
- 31:58Speaker 5: the most the top, the well, the most common thing
- 32:01Speaker 5: people do is when they're looking for vending services. If
- 32:04Speaker 5: you know, you're just opened up your store, your business,
- 32:07Speaker 5: or whatever it may be, it's Google, so they go
- 32:09Speaker 5: right to Google vending Machine service, and Philadelphia My Joint
- 32:13Speaker 5: is like one of the top ones on there. So
- 32:16Speaker 5: you click on that, they they call you, they contact you,
- 32:20Speaker 5: and then they're going to ask you to place a
- 32:21Speaker 5: vending machine in their place of business. So most not
- 32:25Speaker 5: in that scenario. Most of the time, they don't ask
- 32:27Speaker 5: you for a commission because they just want your service.
- 32:28Speaker 5: They want your service for their customers or for their
- 32:32Speaker 5: employees off for whatever reason. It's just like, yeah, we
- 32:34Speaker 5: just want your service. We're not worried about commission.
- 32:37Speaker 2: So if you approach them, you got to pay them
- 32:40Speaker 2: most of the time. If they approach you, you don't
- 32:42Speaker 2: have to pay.
- 32:43Speaker 5: Most of the time most of the time. That's how
- 32:44Speaker 5: that goes. That also depends on what type of place
- 32:47Speaker 5: it is, you know, because if you're dealing with like
- 32:48Speaker 5: recreation centers and schools, a lot of times those those
- 32:52Speaker 5: facilities are like the prod the funds already, so they
- 32:57Speaker 5: always looking for different ways to supplement, you know, some incomes.
- 33:00Speaker 5: So they're going to bring that up.
- 33:01Speaker 2: So what kind of commission is fair? Like if somebody,
- 33:04Speaker 2: I'll let you put ithead, but here's you gotta give
- 33:06Speaker 2: me twenty percent, Like what's a fair amount?
- 33:09Speaker 5: That a fear amount really depends on the traffic and
- 33:13Speaker 5: that location. But you typically it is around ten percent
- 33:16Speaker 5: ten percent. It's like a fear amount most of the
- 33:19Speaker 5: time if it's a good location.
- 33:20Speaker 4: So you you sit down, you say that we can
- 33:23Speaker 4: have the vending machine here.
- 33:25Speaker 5: What we do next we drawing up a contract. Right,
- 33:28Speaker 5: So at the point where they give me the person
- 33:31Speaker 5: of contact and they said they're interested and they'll schedule
- 33:34Speaker 5: a meeting with them. So we're sit down like we're talking. Now,
- 33:36Speaker 5: I'll have a proposal, which is something I came up
- 33:39Speaker 5: with this from doing the meetings, and it's all the
- 33:42Speaker 5: information is in the proposal, which just cuts down the
- 33:45Speaker 5: meet in town. So you know in there it's just
- 33:47Speaker 5: about your business, a little bit about yourself. You want
- 33:51Speaker 5: to put the products that you use, what makes you
- 33:53Speaker 5: different than other companies, your price points for your products.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Just present all that to them and then you know,
- 33:59Speaker 5: if they like that, then I also have the contract there,
- 34:02Speaker 5: so and if they're good with the contract. You know,
- 34:05Speaker 5: we sign it right there, do the deal right there. Now,
- 34:07Speaker 5: sometimes it doesn't go that way. Sometimes they might want
- 34:09Speaker 5: certain contingencies or whatever and in the contract. So if
- 34:12Speaker 5: they want that, and you you asked, you have you know,
- 34:15Speaker 5: obviously you have to go back and draw up a
- 34:16Speaker 5: new contract and get them to sign that one.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm thinking of like the school, right, so I'm
- 34:20Speaker 4: thinking like one of the contendencies they may have is
- 34:21Speaker 4: like you can't serve a certain amount of sugar exactly
- 34:26Speaker 4: certain products.
- 34:27Speaker 5: And then it's like some people will want your actual
- 34:31Speaker 5: service hours in there, or they'll want like if basically
- 34:36Speaker 5: like if if something goes wrong, you have to repair
- 34:38Speaker 5: it by all this amount of time type of thing like,
- 34:41Speaker 5: so that stuff is usually people usually tweak, but for
- 34:43Speaker 5: the most part, they did go about what's on the paper.
- 34:46Speaker 2: So okay, So as far as let's go back to location.
- 34:50Speaker 2: So like you said, you said, foot traffic, accessibility, isolation,
- 34:53Speaker 2: and waiting rooms. Those are like your four golden rules, right, oh, the.
- 34:57Speaker 5: One second to and then for the commissions. I never
- 35:00Speaker 5: bring up commission. So never never sit down with a
- 35:03Speaker 5: location and say all right, well, this is the amount
- 35:05Speaker 5: that we're paying commission if they don't mention it. Oh yeah, no, no, no,
- 35:10Speaker 5: some people think that that's like they pitching. Like point
- 35:13Speaker 5: is like, we can pay you this much in commission,
- 35:15Speaker 5: don't mention.
- 35:16Speaker 2: That because it's not neces. That's a good that's a
- 35:18Speaker 2: good point because you might automatically assume that you have
- 35:22Speaker 2: to pay because you're in their space. But like you said,
- 35:24Speaker 2: it's kind of like an attraction where it's like, like
- 35:28Speaker 2: my son goes to camp. Every time I pick him out,
- 35:31Speaker 2: he's like, can you give me something on the vendom machine?
- 35:32Speaker 2: So it's like, you know what I'm saying, it's like
- 35:34Speaker 2: the vending machine.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Erness what's up?
- 35:37Speaker 4: You ever walk into a small business and everything just works,
- 35:40Speaker 4: Like the checkout is fast, the seats are digital, tipping

- 37:21Speaker 4: P and C Bank National Association Member FDIC. Hi.
- 37:27Speaker 6: I'm Kristen Bell, and if you know my husband Ax,
- 37:29Speaker 6: then you also know he loves shopping for a car.
- 37:32Speaker 6: Selling a car not so much.
- 37:34Speaker 5: We're really doing this, huh.
- 37:35Speaker 6: Thankfully. Carvana makes it easy. Answer a few questions, put
- 37:38Speaker 6: in your vin or license and done. We sold ours
- 37:41Speaker 6: in minutes this morning, and they'll come pick it up
- 37:43Speaker 6: and pay us this afternoon.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Bye bye trucky.
- 37:48Speaker 6: Of course we kept the favorite.
- 37:51Speaker 5: Hello other Truckee.
- 37:53Speaker 6: Sell your car with Carvana today, terms and conditions applying.
- 37:57Speaker 2: It's actually helping in that situation because it's like people
- 38:00Speaker 2: something you might just walk into a space just to
- 38:03Speaker 2: use the vending machine.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Right, So that I'm now I'm thinking about from the
- 38:06Speaker 4: business standpoint, having a school during the year is great.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Having a recreation center during the summer gonth.
- 38:13Speaker 5: Well, no, recreation recreation centers doing the school year are
- 38:18Speaker 5: good too, because they have different programs and they have
- 38:21Speaker 5: basketball games and stuff.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, so all right, so location, location, location is
- 38:31Speaker 2: the most important thing in real estate, period. And I
- 38:34Speaker 2: guess it's no different from vending machine either, right, You
- 38:36Speaker 2: got the best vending. You could be giving away gold
- 38:39Speaker 2: bars if it's in the desert, didn't matter. So how
- 38:42Speaker 2: do you know what's a good look? I mean obviously,
- 38:44Speaker 2: well I would say, obviously, how do you know what's
- 38:46Speaker 2: a good location or not?
- 38:48Speaker 5: So I mean from what you just basically what you
- 38:50Speaker 5: just mentioned, but I picked them up as time went on,
- 38:53Speaker 5: just noticing different things. So when I'm walking into a location,
- 38:58Speaker 5: I go with a checklist. I don't really use it
- 38:59Speaker 5: any more because I kind of like know now, but
- 39:01Speaker 5: it's best to have a checklist and use this. And
- 39:03Speaker 5: this is what you want to look for. So you
- 39:04Speaker 5: want to look for when you pull up to the space,
- 39:08Speaker 5: is it any stores around that building? So when I
- 39:11Speaker 5: say isolation, that's what I'm talking about. So I'll take
- 39:14Speaker 5: a lap of two laps around. See, I'm looking for
- 39:16Speaker 5: corner stores. I'm looking at this for other places to eat,
- 39:19Speaker 5: all right. So if I don't see no other place
- 39:21Speaker 5: to eat, I'm like, okay, so that's that's a good sign.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Right.
- 39:24Speaker 5: And then when I walk in the door, I'm looking
- 39:27Speaker 5: in terms of moving, I'm looking for steps and all
- 39:29Speaker 5: that type of stuff because you have to move the
- 39:30Speaker 5: machine in there. When it terms of what makes it
- 39:31Speaker 5: a good location, I'm I'm looking to see where the
- 39:35Speaker 5: machine will be placed, all right, So I'm like, all right, well,
- 39:38Speaker 5: is it place somewhere where it's visible and people could
- 39:41Speaker 5: see it? Because I had one situation where I had
- 39:43Speaker 5: a it was a hotel wanted me to put a
- 39:45Speaker 5: machine in there, but they wanted a machine like in
- 39:47Speaker 5: the in the back way in the back where nobody
- 39:50Speaker 5: would see it. And on the flip side, it had
- 39:51Speaker 5: a gas station right next door. So when I was watching,
- 39:55Speaker 5: I'm watching people come in and they just making the
- 39:57Speaker 5: left turn right out or right to the gas station.
- 39:59Speaker 4: I'm like, because the gas station is the place now
- 40:02Speaker 4: that they're gonna get.
- 40:03Speaker 5: They see the gas station because it's right because it
- 40:05Speaker 5: was a big glass you know door obviously and it's
- 40:08Speaker 5: right there. Versus if that machine is placing in a lot,
- 40:10Speaker 5: but they just would have used the machine, then nobody
- 40:12Speaker 5: wants to walk all the way over there if you
- 40:13Speaker 5: ain't got too only in the night shift, right, So
- 40:16Speaker 5: so you know that's that's real important. It's important is
- 40:19Speaker 5: is it being visible and it being accessible to everyone,
- 40:24Speaker 5: So if everybody can use it, if it's visible, that
- 40:27Speaker 5: that's a good sign. Another thing I'm looking for is
- 40:31Speaker 5: hours of operation. So how long is this place open?
- 40:35Speaker 5: Like you said night shift. Some places open twenty four hours, right,
- 40:38Speaker 5: That gives you more selves versus it only being opened
- 40:40Speaker 5: for nine to five like, So that's another that's anotheria
- 40:45Speaker 5: close now right. So and then probably the last thing
- 40:49Speaker 5: I'm looking for is foot traffic, right, which is one
- 40:55Speaker 5: of this is the most important thing. You want to
- 40:56Speaker 5: see how many employees they got, how many people are
- 40:59Speaker 5: visit in this place, how many people are in and
- 41:01Speaker 5: out coming past this machine.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Yeah, one of the.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Things you said, And as you said it, I was like, wow,
- 41:06Speaker 4: that's brilliant. Places that have ideal time where people are
- 41:09Speaker 4: just waiting. So I would say a hospital, but when
- 41:11Speaker 4: you just said laundry Matt, I'm thinking like, oh my gosh, yeah,
- 41:15Speaker 4: like people are sitting in there all day watching machines.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Though, No, laundry mats are big. Schools are big, recreation
- 41:22Speaker 2: centers are big, hospitals are big.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I'm thinking that's the number one.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Office buildings are big. Dorms dorms, college dorms. College dorms
- 41:33Speaker 2: are big.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, And give give an example is Temple we
- 41:40Speaker 5: have a temple dorm. God was doing business with that
- 41:45Speaker 5: location does around thirty five.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Hundred a month? How many how many machines?
- 41:49Speaker 5: Who machines?
- 41:50Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 41:52Speaker 4: Cos kids don't have a lot of money and they
- 41:54Speaker 4: don't have transportation.
- 41:55Speaker 3: So if you put the.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Vend machine and that's that's you, that's your machines.
- 41:58Speaker 5: These to those two are a mind. It's the guy. Actually,
- 42:00Speaker 5: I know we were talking a little more camera. So
- 42:02Speaker 5: another guy, one of my first, my first mentee. I
- 42:05Speaker 5: helped him find a spot and that was the spot
- 42:06Speaker 5: that we got.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Yeah, thirty five hundred's that's good bread.
- 42:10Speaker 5: Two machines, two machines, thirty five And then on top
- 42:13Speaker 5: of that, since that building is to build the way build,
- 42:16Speaker 5: it could be more machines placed than there.
- 42:17Speaker 3: And you said, there's a difference in what I mean.
- 42:19Speaker 4: The older machines don't have something that's very important that
- 42:21Speaker 4: you said, that's the card readers, right, because now a
- 42:24Speaker 4: lot of people don't have cash, but they do have.
- 42:26Speaker 5: Cards to use. So what we do is we'll take
- 42:29Speaker 5: the older machines and add upgrades on. So we might
- 42:32Speaker 5: change the door, we might use what we call like
- 42:35Speaker 5: the lead lighting. So you know the little light strips.
- 42:37Speaker 5: Put that in the door makes it a little brighter.
- 42:39Speaker 5: And we can add to car readers, but we would
- 42:41Speaker 5: just have to change what's in there. It's called the
- 42:43Speaker 5: circuit board. Okay, expensive circuit board costs about two hundred dollars.
- 42:48Speaker 5: Car readers are about four hundred, so you're looking at
- 42:51Speaker 5: to use that as about additional six hundred dollars. But
- 42:54Speaker 5: on the flip side, those usually increase yourselves by at
- 42:57Speaker 5: least thirty forty percent, so you know it's worth for
- 43:01Speaker 5: actually getting those on there if you know you planning
- 43:03Speaker 5: on doing it on a serious note.
- 43:05Speaker 2: So, okay, so as far as installation, right, how do
- 43:10Speaker 2: you know which products to put? So you just buying
- 43:12Speaker 2: a machine and you can put anything in the machine, correct,
- 43:15Speaker 2: anything you want. How do you know which products do
- 43:19Speaker 2: you do?
- 43:19Speaker 5: Like?
- 43:19Speaker 2: Okay, I like three those? So or like how do
- 43:23Speaker 2: you how do you know like which is a good product?
- 43:25Speaker 3: Question?
- 43:27Speaker 5: That's asking the question because all right, so my first
- 43:29Speaker 5: location that I got when I when I said it
- 43:31Speaker 5: was only doing only a few a few dollars or
- 43:34Speaker 5: whatever I was putting in there when I like, so
- 43:37Speaker 5: I had what I like, I'm walking through Sam's cub like, Okay,
- 43:41Speaker 5: this is good, this is good. But after a while
- 43:44Speaker 5: it was like, no, you have to put in what
- 43:46Speaker 5: they want. So what I like to do is in
- 43:48Speaker 5: my first if it's an office building or something like that,
- 43:50Speaker 5: I'll use a newsletter and outside the newsletter introducing my services,
- 43:54Speaker 5: and I'll give them an opportunity to put to tell
- 43:56Speaker 5: me what they want in the machine. That's like step one.
- 44:00Speaker 5: Than that, it really comes down to demographics like this,
- 44:04Speaker 5: certain certain demographics, certain certain groups of people like like
- 44:10Speaker 5: like certain things. So from my experience, I know if
- 44:12Speaker 5: I'm dealing with a mostly like Carcasian group, they tend
- 44:15Speaker 5: to like more of like the plane chips and like
- 44:19Speaker 5: for real, like for the plain tips, where though if
- 44:22Speaker 5: I'm gonna it might be more like you know, the
- 44:25Speaker 5: flavorful barbecue type.
- 44:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Man, just depends depends. It depends what you have, but
- 44:32Speaker 5: it's it's definitely best to always let the people tell
- 44:34Speaker 5: you what they and the inventory you're actually going to get, right,
- 44:37Speaker 5: So like you will go into these warehouses I go to,
- 44:41Speaker 5: I go to Sam's Club, so I go to most
- 44:43Speaker 5: mostly shop at Sam's Club, but I do have a
- 44:46Speaker 5: warehouse that I go to to get products. Now, the
- 44:48Speaker 5: thing with Sam's Club is it's good if you're just
- 44:51Speaker 5: doing the like small scale, but if you're buying like
- 44:53Speaker 5: variety boxes and chips and whatnot, they're going to put
- 44:56Speaker 5: a few, they're going to put the good chips in there.
- 44:58Speaker 5: Then they're going to put like a they always selection
- 45:02Speaker 5: and that right, and that's the one that's not going
- 45:04Speaker 5: to sell. So when you're doing that on a larger scale,
- 45:06Speaker 5: you have to keep buying those boxes and boxes. It's like, well,
- 45:09Speaker 5: that's not that's that's losing making me lose money. So
- 45:12Speaker 5: when you get to a certain point, you could just
- 45:13Speaker 5: cut that out and then if you go find a source,
- 45:16Speaker 5: you have to find a source. You could just get
- 45:18Speaker 5: the straight fire products, but if you have to buy
- 45:21Speaker 5: it in a larger quantity, so that boxer Sam's Club
- 45:24Speaker 5: comes in a box of thirty most of the time,
- 45:27Speaker 5: Whereas though if I buy that in the larger quantity,
- 45:29Speaker 5: I got about sixty four boxes, sixty four of all
- 45:32Speaker 5: one selection, which is going to cost you more money
- 45:35Speaker 5: because now you have to put that that that variety box.
- 45:38Speaker 5: It's gonna take about four or five roads because there's
- 45:40Speaker 5: different chips in there versus it just being one whole
- 45:43Speaker 5: box and one product that's only one roller product.
- 45:46Speaker 3: How often are you changing the machines?
- 45:49Speaker 5: Weekly? Weekly, weekly? Yeah so, I I mean, if you're
- 45:52Speaker 5: doing it more than more than once a week, you
- 45:55Speaker 5: probably need a bigger machine. If you're if you're not
- 45:57Speaker 5: doing it once a week, you probably need a smaller machine.
- 46:00Speaker 2: And like, so, how do you know what to charge?
- 46:04Speaker 2: Because you can charge anything. I just found that out.
- 46:06Speaker 2: You can charge anything at the prices.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Yeah, you set you set all your own prices. And
- 46:10Speaker 5: once again, it just comes down to demographics. It comes
- 46:13Speaker 5: down to the region, the area you you actually you
- 46:15Speaker 5: know working in. I know we're over here in New York,
- 46:18Speaker 5: my candy bars are going to be about two dollars.
- 46:20Speaker 5: Like what if I'm in Philly over there, it's going
- 46:22Speaker 5: to be about one twenty five. But the main thing
- 46:24Speaker 5: I'm looking at is I'm looking at my internal investment,
- 46:26Speaker 5: like my r R all right, yeah, so I'm like,
- 46:30Speaker 5: if I'm spending X amount, I want to least double that.
- 46:34Speaker 5: So at minimum, I'm doubling when I'm paying for the products.
- 46:38Speaker 5: But I'm actually, well, I always try to reach like
- 46:41Speaker 5: the triple. I try to, you know, get the three
- 46:42Speaker 5: hundred percent mark what I'm actually paying back, what I'm
- 46:45Speaker 5: actually paying for the product. So whatever I'm investing, I'm.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Trying at least if I buy a candy bar for
- 46:50Speaker 2: a dollar, I need to I need to charge three
- 46:52Speaker 2: dollars in machine. Just using that as like an example,
- 46:55Speaker 2: obviously not going to trye three dollars for candy bar,
- 46:57Speaker 2: but saying.
- 46:58Speaker 3: They did that.
- 46:59Speaker 4: At my job, I went to the vendor machine and
- 47:02Speaker 4: the sixty five cent bag of chips is now five dollars?
- 47:05Speaker 5: Is it really five dollars? The picture?
- 47:08Speaker 3: I was like, no, this is a joke.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Impossible.
- 47:09Speaker 4: I'm gonna say the picture it was ridiculous. I'm like, wait, impossible,
- 47:13Speaker 4: I've seen the picture. No, Joe, I'm like, this is ridiculous.
- 47:16Speaker 5: What kind of chips are south No sound ships? How
- 47:19Speaker 5: big is the bag of chip?
- 47:21Speaker 3: It's like the.
- 47:22Speaker 5: Normal sixty five cent No, it's impossible. It's like the
- 47:25Speaker 5: two ounce bag. It's like one point seven.
- 47:27Speaker 3: I was sending out the picture.
- 47:29Speaker 5: It's impossible, ridiculous, that's crazy. But they do, you know,
- 47:32Speaker 5: people do do that. I mean now I've never seen
- 47:35Speaker 5: It's like the airport. The airport or like the hotels,
- 47:40Speaker 5: you could really charge.
- 47:41Speaker 2: More foreh vendom machines and the airport. That's that's where
- 47:45Speaker 2: you make money. Airport prices is just ridiculous just because.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Because now they got the vending machines that show electronics.
- 47:53Speaker 5: So that's that's another thing I wanted to touch on too,
- 47:55Speaker 5: is like you could think outside the box and get creative.
- 47:58Speaker 5: You could sell anything out of the machine. You so electronics. Uh,
- 48:02Speaker 5: somebody I found online was selling knickknacks out of the
- 48:05Speaker 5: in the in the airport and she was making eight
- 48:07Speaker 5: thousand dollars a year.
- 48:08Speaker 2: What what what's a knickknack?
- 48:10Speaker 5: So like the stuff that you know you might get
- 48:13Speaker 5: while you're in that city or whatever. Like there was
- 48:15Speaker 5: those little.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Whatever like a little trunkeets and like little Welcome to
- 48:19Speaker 2: l A I Love New York charms.
- 48:20Speaker 5: And stuff like that. And she had like balled up
- 48:22Speaker 5: T shirts in there, like you know, making making good
- 48:25Speaker 5: money like just taking outside the box.
- 48:27Speaker 4: I also see no one but you put trying to
- 48:31Speaker 4: do it every time.
- 48:32Speaker 5: Right Like, So it's just a lot of different things
- 48:34Speaker 5: you could you could put in there if you could
- 48:35Speaker 5: really like get creative with it.
- 48:36Speaker 3: What's the craziest one you've seen?
- 48:40Speaker 5: Craziest one?
- 48:42Speaker 2: Do you have one on your page when you buy
- 48:43Speaker 2: and they have gold bars? Yeah.
- 48:46Speaker 5: I never seen that one though, but yeah I've seen.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you can buy god bars or pieces of gold.
- 48:54Speaker 4: I don't know why you want to buy it, but
- 48:55Speaker 4: you know that's just let's go to the vand machine
- 48:58Speaker 4: and gets some gold.
- 48:59Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, but you know it's a lot. That's a
- 49:00Speaker 5: lot of crazy ones out there.
- 49:01Speaker 6: Man.
- 49:01Speaker 5: I've seen some where you selling water. I've seen pizza.
- 49:05Speaker 5: It's a piece of that.
- 49:06Speaker 4: There was there was an article about that they're putting
- 49:07Speaker 4: that on college campuses where it makes the pizza in
- 49:10Speaker 4: like ninety seconds or something.
- 49:11Speaker 5: They had a Plan D machine on college campus, college campus,
- 49:17Speaker 5: and it's actually not.
- 49:18Speaker 2: For well, that's actually honestly, honestly contraception machine. No, that's
- 49:24Speaker 2: not a bad idea. Now that's the contraception machines is
- 49:27Speaker 2: not a bad idea. You have condoms.
- 49:28Speaker 4: They used to put them in the bathroom. Remember you
- 49:30Speaker 4: used to put a quarter and then you don't remember.
- 49:33Speaker 5: No, I haven't seen it.
- 49:34Speaker 3: It's a little slu like you put a quarter and
- 49:35Speaker 3: get a contraception that wow?
- 49:39Speaker 2: Is that is that even legal? Tame point? All right?
- 49:42Speaker 5: I know I know they got them out there like
- 49:44Speaker 5: the like here weave and.
- 49:48Speaker 2: So you know what what about medical marijuana marijuana period
- 49:51Speaker 2: that too, They.
- 49:51Speaker 5: Got those out in California, they got the America. So
- 49:54Speaker 5: I'm not exactly sure how those operate because you know
- 49:57Speaker 5: that's that's regulated. So you need I d and what
- 50:00Speaker 5: note security that machine? Probably yeah, that's a little different,
- 50:05Speaker 5: but they do have dudes out there.
- 50:06Speaker 4: What about vandalism, like somebody destroys your machine? How does
- 50:10Speaker 4: that you have insurance on it?
- 50:12Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 50:12Speaker 5: I haven't. I had to happen before once. But yeah,
- 50:16Speaker 5: so basically, if somebody destroys it messes up you just
- 50:18Speaker 5: if you got insurance on it, then you cover.
- 50:20Speaker 4: If not, you know, you can go through any insurance company.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Got closed State Farm and literally.
- 50:27Speaker 5: I'm not sure if it's any I know State Farm
- 50:30Speaker 5: is one, but it's just regular regular insurance companies covered.
- 50:33Speaker 5: Is it pricey? No, it's not pricey at all.
- 50:35Speaker 2: It's not all you would recommend always having that, I
- 50:37Speaker 2: would recommd.
- 50:38Speaker 5: I would definitely recommend having insurance. But the thing is
- 50:40Speaker 5: when you actually go through the process, but picking out
- 50:42Speaker 5: a good location. If you're meeting the criteria, it's hard
- 50:45Speaker 5: to do vandalism because if the machine is somewhere open
- 50:48Speaker 5: and somewhere is you know, it's if it's in that
- 50:50Speaker 5: and if a place is always you know, has long hours,
- 50:52Speaker 5: most of somebody have security, and mostly nine times out
- 50:55Speaker 5: of ten that's that be in the machine is somewhere
- 50:56Speaker 5: near that security, like wherever it's sitting at in the
- 50:59Speaker 5: lobby something like, it's always gonna be somewhere where people
- 51:01Speaker 5: where people see it, and like it's always if it's
- 51:03Speaker 5: foot traffic, it's going to be. If it's good foot traffic,
- 51:05Speaker 5: then people are always going to be around. So it's hard
- 51:07Speaker 5: to vanalyze yah, you know machines.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Or with cameras like a school or community center.
- 51:13Speaker 5: Mins minds happened more so when I had it in
- 51:16Speaker 5: that hotel. We were talking when it shut down. It
- 51:20Speaker 5: was like when I went back there, it was.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Over what's the what's the life span of a machine?
- 51:26Speaker 5: That's a great question. I mean, I have some machines
- 51:28Speaker 5: I haven't had any issues with like since I had
- 51:31Speaker 5: and some of them you get it's just like problems.
- 51:34Speaker 5: I had one machine in particular. That's it's always giving
- 51:36Speaker 5: me a problem. I actually switched it out recently. What
- 51:38Speaker 5: type of problems?
- 51:39Speaker 4: Like the mechanical doesn't dispense the merchandise?
- 51:42Speaker 5: No, So if then the machine really is only about
- 51:45Speaker 5: it's about three parts. You got your your bill accepting
- 51:48Speaker 5: a lot of people think like, oh, what about that's
- 51:50Speaker 5: that's one of the questions. I get a lot too.
- 51:51Speaker 5: What about the cost of maintenance. I don't really maint
- 51:54Speaker 5: the cost of maintenance isn't high at all, Like it's
- 51:56Speaker 5: really like it's rare that something goes wrong with those machines.
- 51:59Speaker 5: But you got your bill acceptor your coin mechanism, which
- 52:03Speaker 5: is where you put the coins in, and then you
- 52:05Speaker 5: have your your board. So your board is like the
- 52:08Speaker 5: thing everything is connected to the press east for no.
- 52:12Speaker 5: But yeah, basically but that that runs to a little
- 52:15Speaker 5: board that's inside of the machine, right, And those are
- 52:17Speaker 5: the main three parts that the coils and stuff don't
- 52:20Speaker 5: really that those around by little motors, but those don't
- 52:22Speaker 5: really go bad. Those are typically okay with the with
- 52:25Speaker 5: the the thing that gets the most used is the
- 52:28Speaker 5: bill accepted. People are always putting the bills in there
- 52:30Speaker 5: or whatever. I probably switched that out probably every like
- 52:36Speaker 5: maybe like two years or something. But if you're, if
- 52:37Speaker 5: you're taking care of the right way, you won't have
- 52:39Speaker 5: to do that. I'm bad at that part, but you
- 52:42Speaker 5: know you could have. You could order a thing off Amazon.
- 52:45Speaker 5: It's like a little sticky it looks like a sticky card.
- 52:48Speaker 5: You put it in there and then pull it out
- 52:50Speaker 5: and it pulls all the dirt and stuff out of
- 52:52Speaker 5: the the bill acceptor, which helps it keeps it clean
- 52:55Speaker 5: because what's in there is it's a reader. So once
- 52:58Speaker 5: that reader gets to like dirty, are too, like you know,
- 53:02Speaker 5: beat up, it doesn't work anymore.
- 53:04Speaker 2: So how do you all? Right? So the money you
- 53:06Speaker 2: collect just you know you're going in. But like the
- 53:07Speaker 2: credit card, how that gets goes in that process and
- 53:11Speaker 2: that goes like directly to like a PayPal.
- 53:13Speaker 5: Account, it goes directly to the bank account. The bank
- 53:15Speaker 5: account every time somebody uses right in, but it goes
- 53:18Speaker 5: it doesn't go right in, it goes to that that service.
- 53:22Speaker 5: It goes to that provider's account. Then they have a
- 53:25Speaker 5: payout similar to what you would use like what I
- 53:28Speaker 5: can shop. Yeah, like I choose the payout date and
- 53:32Speaker 5: then on those dates you get paid out for whatever
- 53:34Speaker 5: card read the self that you had.
- 53:36Speaker 3: What about the process of buying and selling routes.
- 53:38Speaker 4: I know sometimes you said that if there is a
- 53:41Speaker 4: slow time, you.
- 53:42Speaker 3: Might want to sell that machine or sell that route,
- 53:44Speaker 3: and talk about that a little bit.
- 53:45Speaker 5: Yeah, So I mean in the business, you know, obviously
- 53:48Speaker 5: the bulk, the bulk of your money is going to
- 53:50Speaker 5: come from you selling products out of your machine, but
- 53:53Speaker 5: it's also other ways to make money once you get going,
- 53:56Speaker 5: of which one of the best ways is, like you
- 53:59Speaker 5: just said, buying selling routes. So I might like, for
- 54:02Speaker 5: the perfect the perfect scenario or the best scenario I
- 54:04Speaker 5: had with buying buying a route and selling it was
- 54:08Speaker 5: I brought a route for thirty five hundred. Now, originally
- 54:11Speaker 5: the guy was trying to charge me like seven thousand
- 54:14Speaker 5: ford or something like that. I was like, no, I'm okay,
- 54:16Speaker 5: I'm not even really desperately, I'm not really looking for anything.
- 54:19Speaker 5: But you know, he couldn't sell it. So he came
- 54:21Speaker 5: back to me. He was like, you know, I still
- 54:23Speaker 5: got this route. I'll give it to you for thirty
- 54:25Speaker 5: five And I'm like, okay, So I'm looking at it.
- 54:27Speaker 5: It's six it's six Vendom machines and it's three locations.
- 54:31Speaker 5: So I'm like, man's that's that's like a giveaway. I'm like, okay,
- 54:35Speaker 5: I'll take it for thirty five. So I brought it.
- 54:38Speaker 5: I checked out the locations. Two of the locations I
- 54:41Speaker 5: didn't I didn't like, so I'm like, okay, this location
- 54:44Speaker 5: is bad, but it was good machines in there. The
- 54:47Speaker 5: other location was bad. One location was good. So what
- 54:51Speaker 5: I did was I kept a good location and I
- 54:53Speaker 5: sold the other two locations for thirty five a piece.
- 54:57Speaker 5: So I ended up making a profit of one thousand
- 55:01Speaker 5: off of that situation. So that's just another way to
- 55:04Speaker 5: make money on the back And so if you're into
- 55:06Speaker 5: buying routes, like you could just buy a route out
- 55:09Speaker 5: maybe set you could you could keep the machines, you know,
- 55:12Speaker 5: sell the machines, or you could just try to sell
- 55:14Speaker 5: the machine on location, which is easier to sell them
- 55:16Speaker 5: if they already placed like that that takes work off
- 55:18Speaker 5: of the next man.
- 55:19Speaker 2: Is any way to get a machine for free, like
- 55:21Speaker 2: financing or pay it back on the back end through
- 55:24Speaker 2: money that you make and future or no.
- 55:28Speaker 5: It's a great question. So you can rent machines from
- 55:32Speaker 5: the same type of people that I talked about before,
- 55:34Speaker 5: as far as like with the if you're going through
- 55:37Speaker 5: a vending warehouse, they do allow you to rint machines.
- 55:39Speaker 5: Sometimes if you look online you can find some people
- 55:41Speaker 5: that rent machines as well. I don't really suggest doing
- 55:43Speaker 5: it because it gives you like an overhead, you know, well,
- 55:47Speaker 5: you know, if that's your way in, and that's your
- 55:48Speaker 5: way you you know what I'm saying. But you can
- 55:51Speaker 5: also once once you get to a certain point in
- 55:55Speaker 5: the business, like like I mentioned before with with Coca
- 55:58Speaker 5: Cola and Pepsi with one of the one of the
- 56:00Speaker 5: programs that they have is once you buy a certain
- 56:02Speaker 5: amount of their product, they give you machines, but it
- 56:05Speaker 5: has to be on contract.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Can you say, like buy their products, like you're putting
- 56:09Speaker 2: their sodas in your machine. So they got about like
- 56:12Speaker 2: ten thousand dollars worth of cope.
- 56:14Speaker 5: It's not ten thousand dollars, but it's like it's definitely
- 56:16Speaker 5: a good amount and you have to buy. You have
- 56:18Speaker 5: to you're committed to buying that amount at least a
- 56:21Speaker 5: minimum every month. But they'll give you the vendom machine
- 56:25Speaker 5: for free because obviously it's helping them. It's helping you
- 56:27Speaker 5: move that product, you know. But that's the way to
- 56:30Speaker 5: get for your venom machines too, But that's not you
- 56:31Speaker 5: probably won't do that until, like you know later about.
- 56:34Speaker 4: The contracts, what are the typical lanes of the contract?
- 56:37Speaker 4: Is it like six months of the year, about two years?
- 56:40Speaker 4: I do two years two year contract, Yeah, two year increments.
- 56:43Speaker 2: So all right, Well there was a lot of information
- 56:46Speaker 2: for sure. So in the next second, we're gonna bring
- 56:48Speaker 2: you home, all right, So we're gonna close it out.
- 56:51Speaker 2: But before I got I got a few questions. So
- 56:54Speaker 2: all right, especially in schools with kids and stuff like that,
- 56:58Speaker 2: what's your thoughts on childhood? PCD is a big thing,
- 57:04Speaker 2: So what's your thoughts on like junk food? Because you
- 57:08Speaker 2: can have healthy stuff in there as well, obviously not
- 57:11Speaker 2: as popular. Do you ever think about that.
- 57:14Speaker 5: Or Yeah, that's something that actually comes up a lot
- 57:16Speaker 5: of times in the meetings when I'm talking to like
- 57:18Speaker 5: the potential locations. So they they you know, they always
- 57:23Speaker 5: want the healthy selections, which I'm big with healthy selections anyway.
- 57:26Speaker 5: Definitely want to get people a choice. So I like
- 57:28Speaker 5: to put half traditional and then I put half healthy.
- 57:34Speaker 5: I tried the whole health thing and go that well,
- 57:39Speaker 5: so I definitely do. I do, like like some of
- 57:41Speaker 5: my most of the time of vendomous thing will have
- 57:43Speaker 5: multiple roles of like two roadster chips, two roaster snacks,
- 57:47Speaker 5: and then you have the candy roll whatever. So on
- 57:49Speaker 5: my top one, I'll make half of that like big
- 57:53Speaker 5: or something like you.
- 57:54Speaker 2: Know, like a power bar something like that.
- 57:56Speaker 5: Not not not for the chips, but like like something big,
- 57:59Speaker 5: like I'll let you and then once we get to
- 58:01Speaker 5: like the snack when the candy road I'll just make
- 58:05Speaker 5: sure it's like some healthy stuff like trail mix or
- 58:09Speaker 5: like a power bar. So it's just something something that's
- 58:11Speaker 5: you know, it'd be good for something somebody grab quick
- 58:14Speaker 5: that's still healthy for you.
- 58:16Speaker 4: And depending on where you're at right like that, you
- 58:18Speaker 4: have to take that into account as far as inventory,
- 58:20Speaker 4: because like you said, Philly, I got a sugar tacks, right,
- 58:23Speaker 4: so when buying stuff, you got to take that into accounts.
- 58:25Speaker 5: And we also have also have an old people's home,
- 58:28Speaker 5: so you know in there, I can't put a lot
- 58:30Speaker 5: of sugar stuff. So it really just depends on where
- 58:32Speaker 5: you're putting that machine at. But it definitely. It definitely
- 58:34Speaker 5: always comes up in the conversation when you're placing a
- 58:37Speaker 5: machine is having healthy selections. Everybody, everybody wants healthy selections.
- 58:40Speaker 5: And I think that's more so a big wave.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Now, yeah, in.
- 58:44Speaker 5: The direction that we're doing as a as a you know,
- 58:47Speaker 5: country as a country is getting more healthy stuff out there.
- 58:50Speaker 4: So you know, yeah, you are the food source for
- 58:53Speaker 4: a lot of us, Like we don't have a lot
- 58:55Speaker 4: of us don't have time to go out for lunch.
- 58:56Speaker 5: It's like, let me just add something quick, right, and
- 58:58Speaker 5: you want to make sure they get out the choice
- 58:59Speaker 5: to get something healthy versus having to get something you
- 59:02Speaker 5: know it's not good for you.
- 59:03Speaker 2: So like ramen, noodles and stuff like that. I've seen
- 59:06Speaker 2: that in there there. So like what's the what's what's
- 59:11Speaker 2: your sweet spot? Like you said, you don't like perishable
- 59:14Speaker 2: goods for obvious reasons because they expire. Just can't they expire?
- 59:21Speaker 5: Yes, it has an expersion. It's a long one though,
- 59:23Speaker 5: like a long like a long time all right, it
- 59:25Speaker 5: takes a while, but really it depends on the conditions
- 59:27Speaker 5: like your temperature and all that. So you in the summertime,
- 59:31Speaker 5: snickers bar in the sun, ain't gonna last too long
- 59:33Speaker 5: because it once it once, it resets most of the
- 59:35Speaker 5: time when it resets into being like the regular form,
- 59:38Speaker 5: so it's like like not really molded, but it's just
- 59:41Speaker 5: like this colored and it doesn't look at peeling for
- 59:44Speaker 5: people to eat. They're not gonna eat it.
- 59:45Speaker 2: So you try to have your but it's always inside though, right,
- 59:48Speaker 2: like air condition.
- 59:50Speaker 5: But I'm also talking about like storage, so you.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Say, too, I never thought about that. You got a story.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Do you store or do you just do you just
- 59:58Speaker 2: buy it as you go? I stored, but.
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: When I first started, I was just buyding as I go,
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: So your.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Your liver was full of boxes, you know.
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: So I got a Halloween I gotta spot my crib
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: wild like something similarly like this area here, but like
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: a little smaller. That whole area was filled with snatch.
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: But you know, if you buy it that you go,
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: it's a little easier. But once you get it down
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: to a science. So the thing about buying that you
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: go with you gotta take trips to the store every week, like,
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: so you really want to figure out how much you need,
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: so you could just buy your month's worth and then
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: have it just sitting over there in the corner. So
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: all you gotta do is grab the stuff and go
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: fill up the machine versus multip making multiple trips.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: So a full time day is like, all right, I'm
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: gonna schedule. I'm gonna go to this location to refill
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: this location refill.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: So it's like, all right, so I do my day
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: before our prep fill up all full up, all my
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: my bens. I have bens that I carry the products
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: in full up, all my bens. Pick the spots. I'm
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: going to just knock the spots down one about one,
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: but I do. I'll pack everything the night before.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: That's it's a one man show youself. Yeah.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Wow, So I saw you saying like, as far as
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: the the numbers on it, so it's like, I think
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: it's like under six locations is well under six machines.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Let me see it's run down something like passive.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Passive and dan, Yeah, can you explain that? Like the
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: numbers so it.
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: Really now, honestly, it depends on your location obviously, but
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: we're talking about this standard average, Like if you have
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: around six machines, that's kind of still passive, Like that's
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: not gonna take up too much of your time. And
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: you know, you can still get whatever done. Once you
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: get to like around like ten machines, you more so
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: like on like a part time type of thing, like
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: if you was working part time, because it's going to
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: take up a little more time as far as you
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: keeping up with your products and you go into your
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: spots depending on how far your spots are. Once you
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: get past like fifteen, that's more like a you know,
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: once you get like fifteen twenty, it's like a real
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: business situation. Now you're now you're doing that full time,
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: like you're making you should be if you're doing it right,
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: you should be making good money. But that's going to
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: take up a lot of your time.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: So if you have twenty, if you have twenty machines,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: theoretically you should be making like fifteen thousand around that
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: at least at least twenty on the good.
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: End, at least fifteen at minimum. At minimum, you should
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: at least be doing like ten, even if you don't
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: have good locations, like you should least ten a months
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: right right now.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: The thing about the Vendom machine thing is it's just
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: an interesting situation because it's one of these things where
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I always say it's never about home runs. It's never
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: about home runs in life. It's about base hits. Like
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: if you play baseball, you gotta get base hits consistently.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: And the Vendom machine thing is like a base hit.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Like even if you got you know, a couple going
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: and you're getting two thousand, like, that's that's two thousand,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, three thousand whatever. It's like,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Now that takes pressure off of you. That's a nice
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: passive stream of income. You build that up, you know,
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: however large you wanted to grow. But it's one of
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: these things that's extremely practical. Everybody has seen been the
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: machine or used it or used it. It's not rocket science,
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: and it's not really that difficult as far as to
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: understand that the general idea of hitting.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: People think in their minds like, oh, somebody spent the dollars.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Somebody spent the dollars twenty five. It's not a lot
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: of money, but enough dollars make sense.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Now, you know, it's not even about that. A lot
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: of times we just mentally priced off, We just mentally
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: psyche ourselves out of everything. So it's like you see
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: a Vando machine every single day. How many people have
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: ever thought about owning a vendor machine. I've never thought
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: about it. You see it, why not somebody owns it?
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Getting killed?
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: Every single somebody owns it?
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Like you know what I'm saying, Like why not?
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think a lot of people shot away
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: from it too, Like even when they think about that idea,
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: it's like they're scared of like the maintenance that we think, Okay,
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: well I don't know how to fix it. But you know,
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: at the end of the day, you it's not it's
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: not too complicated. But for any business, you're going to
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: have hurt us where you have to figure stuff out.
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: It's no different than that. Like, so once you once
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: you get it going and you run into an issue,
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: of course you have to. I mean YouTube is your friend.
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: To find a solution on YouTube, if not find a
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: resource to call in and just watch what they do,
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: you know, and most of the time, you know, that's
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: that's how I how to.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Fix Yeah, they're like, I'm going to ask you that,
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: like do you fix yourself with do you hire like
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: mechanics that specialize invent the machine?
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: So for the most part, I fix on myself. The
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: only thing I really I can't fix is the refrigeration units.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: It's called the compressors. So the compressors are a little
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: more complicated. I don't know how to fix those yet,
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: but like the builds sceptors and the coin mechanisms and
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: like that, that type of stuff. I can fix those
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: because it's like it's a common thing, and that's most
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: of the time. None times at the time, that's what
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: you're gonna be dealing with if something goes wrong. Most
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: of the time, it's just like a dollar got stuck,
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: or maybe your bill accepted one bad. It's just screw
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: it out, put a new one, and screw it back in,
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: like that type of thing.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: What's the best what's the best item invented machine history?
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: Peanut minems for snacks, for drinks, pepsi and pepsi yourselves
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: like like nothing else whatever, whatever you say, everything else,
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: Pepsi is going to do. PEPs He sells more than coke,
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: Pepsi than anything. PEPs really everywhere everybody I know would
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: do more than water. Yeah, your largest profile you item
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: is water, though you make the most water for water. Yeah,
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: but pepsi sells like nothing else. Peanut eminem is so real.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Well to what's what's your favorite?
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: My favorite Skittles, Starburs and Peter mn ms.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: You know, I don't even know if I even had
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: Peanut Eminem.
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: I don't like him personally. That's and that's what kind
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: of messed me up the first time. I was like,
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: these ain't good.
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: But when I was stalking, the combination of the pepsi
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: and the peanut M and M.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: But but butter crunch, butter crunch cookie the machine though
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: it should be those are smack pay day Payday candy bars.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: That's that's an and oil and vinegar chips.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: That's another niche. That's the tip.
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: That's not a niche, oil because elite.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: That's the laite. That's the lead.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: Red bag of Doritos class that's gone.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: Those are moving the black popcorn hip back that's another item.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: The cooler ranch, playing cooler ranch, playing not really laced.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: People like well and where I'm at, people like the
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: hers like playing herds. They love those playing ships.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: Do Rito's pretzels also, depending where they at.
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: But the Doritos, the Eminem's Pepsi, that's selling no matter,
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: no matter I call those like staple items like those
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: items will be in the machine no matter which.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: I see sometimes they don't put like the eminem's in
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: one row and then like put them at the.
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: Next row too, just because because they sell, Like because
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: if you don't do that, you're gonna run out, Like
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: so that that's gonna run out. It's like with pepsi
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: and most of the time you have two rows of
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: pepsi and just because just because it's gonna sell faster
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: than anything.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: You have to come back once it sells out.
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: Right, you might even have to come back. It's just
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: going to sell out, and then you'll be you could
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: be losing out the money if that person only came
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: to that machine, they can get some pena eminems.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: Ain't like want nothing type of thing. Are you moving
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: into other things to put in the venting machine? Like
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: it is there other items that you see in the future,
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: like you know what, I might want to go that route.
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: No, I like, I like keeping it traditional, but I
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: do see, you know, I'll see a lot of things.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: You know, I'll see people coming up with that's real creative.
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: I'll see some celebrities coming out with different ideas. I
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: know Calie Jenner dis launched like a Vendom machine with
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: one of them had. Oh yeah, the other one had
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: like her makeup line, which I know is big.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: That's not a bad idea either, make up little stuff
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: like that like chapstick and things like that where it's
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: like you on to run. It's not a bad idea.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: But yeah, you're never gonna lose with beverages, especially beverages.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: People always drink stuff candy. It's kind of like it's
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: like a no brainer.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: And the words it might I'm addicted to candy.
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: Yeah, they always gonna be in business.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: With the man Sheef. I appreciate you coming. Man. This
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: is a highly educational episode and I think people are
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: going to enjoy a lot of value from it. Man,
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: can you tell people how to contact you and any initiatives?
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: So you got you got education that you do as well?
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: Are you teach people about this? You talk about that?
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: So I do have a I have an e book
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: that I offer online for anybody that's just looking to
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: get basic information on how to start, you know, a
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: successful in the machine business and for people who are
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: looking to get started like right away. I created the
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: course Bailey mainly just walking them through a video course
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: you know you do at your own page, just walking
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: them through, uh, the stabs to get just to get
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: started as well, replicated yourself. Basically you put it on important.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: To do, so that's how long is that course?
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: I mean it's at your own page thing. I would
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: assume it. It might take you somebody about a month to
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: get get through.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: So that's a lot of information. So pretty much everything
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: that you need to know start.
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: Mainly, the most important thing is this your set up
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: getting started, and then the next important thing is the
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: location methods, so getting through that. You know, it's a
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: lot of different things to set up the way you
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: set up you want to. You can run ads ill
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: teach people how to and ads on Facebook, on Google,
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: setting up the website, that type of stuff like, so
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: that stuff takes a little more time to get through.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: A little more events. Yeah, we're gonna post a link
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: to on our bio on YouTube and Apple, Spotify, whatever
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: you're listening, so if you're interested, you can check that
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: out in the description. But yeah, so can telling people
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: how to contact you. Social media handles and all that social.
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: Media handle is at you know, I'm sorry, is the
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: underscore vending underscore biz you know on Facebook is the
