- 2:39Remembering your time, your voice and your dreams are worth prioritizing, especially after 45.
- 2:47John, welcome to the show.
- 2:49We are so excited to have this conversation today.
- 2:54I'm excited to be here and I love that it's, you know, after 45, so we all have to admit to at least that we're 45.
- 3:00Right.
- 3:02I love that because I also have a lot of listeners who are not 45, but they are expanding their horizons, having conversations and having information flow in.
- 3:14That gives them new nuggets that they can start before 5 45.
- 3:19Absolutely.
- 3:20Yeah.
- 3:21Yeah.
- 3:21I mean, at 45 I was nowhere.
- 3:23I mean, I even, I was nowhere at 45, you know, like I was 54 when I first, well, I was already coaching for eight years.
- 3:32True.
- 3:32But I mean, as far as.
- 3:34Really becoming successful.
- 3:36It started when I was 54.
- 3:38I turned 60 a week ago.
- 3:40So yeah, I mean for people are 45 or under and you know, God bless you, you have so much more time than I did to, to work things out, you know?
- 3:48'cause time is process.
- 3:50You need some time to process.
- 3:53Make sense?
- 3:53Absolutely.
- 3:54Yeah.
- 3:54Absolutely.
- 3:55Absolutely.
- 3:55I think there's a, a factor, and I'm gonna call it a, a wisdom factor.
- 4:00I know a lot of people think of it as a maturity factor, but I call it a wisdom factor because we've experienced life and we take those golden nuggets of learning that have happened, and there's just an opportunity for us to use that in a new way as we continue to age and evolve, I call it.
- 4:20Does that make sense?
- 4:21Yeah.
- 4:21Age is not a good word.
- 4:25Progress, of course.
- 4:26Of course, you know, there is aging that goes on.
- 4:28But I think we, when we think of aging, you could say, oh, well, you know, wines age well and you know, but I think aging makes people think of decline, right.
- 4:38Instead of progressing.
- 4:40Yeah.
- 4:42I love that age.
- 4:44We all age every day.
- 4:45We're all absolutely right.
- 4:47But you're right.
- 4:48The way the context has been perpetrated for so long, it's like even I've talked to different people even about, um, birthday cards, right?
- 4:59Go take a look at the birthday cards and mm-hmm.
- 5:01The jokes are all there, but it's like, whoa, that's not what is happening anymore.
- 5:06And I love that.
- 5:09We get to experience it differently because we choose.
- 5:12Right, right.
- 5:13And there is a thing that, you know, it's a, a, a thing that we are declining every day, but actually we're not declining every day because we are learning.
- 5:26And therefore, if we're learning more, you know, that there's this book written about, I think it was called The Marvels of the Middle Aged Mind, or something like The Wonders, or, and I read it about.
- 5:35Probably 12 years ago or more.
- 5:37And um, and it was just how people when they get older are actually smarter.
- 5:43It's easier for us to, we have so much knowledge that some of these young people might be smart about like the processes because they're, they're learning tech, but they don't have all that other smart stuff that's called experience and learning from experience in the years of that.
- 5:56So when people say every day is just one big decline, not really.
- 6:00'cause we are learning.
- 6:01I don't feel like I'm declining.
- 6:03I feel like I'm, I'm learning every day.
- 6:05I'm getting better at a lot of things.
- 6:07Perhaps my body might be aging.
- 6:09Well, it is, you know, for sure.
- 6:10But I, I do what I can to slow that down.
- 6:13But I, I don't think it's like, oh, every day is just one big decline.
- 6:17It should be, when does that start, you know, when are we declining?
- 6:21Because they figured out, you know, that people, their brains actually become adult at the age of 32.
- 6:27So from that point, you were.
- 6:28Growing and then you're adult, but you certainly weren't declining before.
- 6:31You're fully formed as an adult in your brain.
- 6:33So I, I don't really get all that.
- 6:35And I think that we are too basing our beliefs on what the scientists say now.
- 6:40Right.
- 6:40But what I know about myself is I have progressed so much since the age of 54, just in wealth, in experience helping people in, in, in, in looking after myself even better.
- 6:53Um.
- 6:54For sure.
- 6:54I look younger, you know, when I was 54.
- 6:56We always look younger, but, you know, um, I think that if we just give in to, oh, well, you know, you know, I didn't give in.
- 7:05That's why I don't look 60.
- 7:07Right.
- 7:07Because I don't, and I know I don't.
- 7:10And, and isn't it incredible that we get to make those decisions?
- 7:15Yes, yes.
- 7:15The power lies within you, for you, by you because of you.
- 7:19The whole context of our show is that your decisions, your choices, the opportunities that abound as a result of our world and where things are at.
- 7:30Even.
- 7:31Even there.
- 7:31Conversation today, I would not have done this.
- 7:3510 years ago, there's no way I would've been on a podcast, creating a podcast, having these powerful conversations because I was not at a point in time in my life that I was available for that I am now, and I'm choosing this course and providing the context of our conversations, the brilliance, the wisdom.
- 7:59Bringing it into a wider audience for all to benefit from.
- 8:05I would not have done this 10 years ago.
- 8:07Are you kidding me?
- 8:08Somebody would've said, Denise, you gotta do a podcast.
- 8:10I'm like, pardon?
- 8:13Done it.
- 8:13It was so rare.
- 8:14I mean, podcasts were not that common.
- 8:1610 years ago they, they existed, but it was like, wow.
- 8:19A podcast.
- 8:19Everybody has a podcast now.
- 8:21Yeah.
- 8:22Almost, it feels like almost everybody has a podcast now.
- 8:26Maybe it's just coaches that have a podcast Now.
- 8:30Do you have a podcast?
- 8:31I do.
- 8:32I started it a year and four months ago, but before everybody was saying, get a podcast, and I was not, I was not on that mission yet.
- 8:39I just thought, no, I have lots to do and if I'm going to do a podcast, I'm gonna wanna really be into it, that it's not a burden.
- 8:46So I waited till I had a theme.
- 8:48I thought, okay.
- 8:50And so it really goes well because I have people help me with it.
- 8:53And it's not, not stressful because I got a team in place.
- 8:57Because I thought I can't add something, if it's gonna create more work, because where do you find that?
- 9:01So I have a podcast, I have managers, producers, all sorts of people doing it.
- 9:06I just turn up and I do speak with the people beforehand to make sure it's a fit, because only I can do that, of course.
- 9:12But yeah, no, I mean, I agree.
- 9:14I, there's a lot of things I wouldn't have done, you know, over well.
- 9:1710 years ago because, well, I didn't have the mindset, I didn't have the resources, it didn't have the money to afford certain things to then, then it would would've been like, I would've had to do everything myself.
- 9:27And then you can only fit so much in the more money you make, the more you can hire people and the more you can create.
- 9:32That's what people don't get.
- 9:33Right.
- 9:34You're not just keeping all that money, you're putting that money out then to build it.
- 9:37And, and like this year is my goal to 10 x.
- 9:40So I have to hire more people.
- 9:41I have to do less of certain things.
- 9:43Uh, you can't 10 x right away.
- 9:44Of course you've got a two x and two x, two x for a long time, maybe three x and then, you know, but 10 Xing is a different whole mentality.
- 9:54So, so how, so let's dig into that a little further.
- 9:57How do you build the capacity to understand that journey of growth in, in business?
- 10:06Let's say you need coaches, you cannot do this yourself.
- 10:10I am a huge, obviously I couldn't be where I am now without coaches and mentors.
- 10:16Mm-hmm.
- 10:17I, I am always seeking help because I don't know everything and there is no way on this earth that I would've gotten where I am alone.
- 10:24Mm-hmm.
- 10:24Same way that Michael Jordan wouldn't be who he would, who he was is without Tim Grover never would've happened.
- 10:30Right.
- 10:31It never would've happened.
- 10:31He was a great guy, but Tim Grover was a large part of his success.
- 10:35Let's be real.
- 10:36Kobe Bryant.
- 10:37A lot of those people, you know, uh, the book, relentless by Tim Grover.
- 10:41I don't know that book, but great book.
- 10:43I'm going to check it out.
- 10:44Yeah, I mean, we know that, that those great superstars of sports and everything, of course might not have been where they are without their coaches.
- 10:55I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be.
- 10:56Right.
- 10:56Just the.
- 10:58Mindset, everything.
- 11:00Then they had their other personal trainers as well as the mindset people.
- 11:03So would I be where I am?
- 11:05Absolutely not.
- 11:06Do I still have mentors and coaches now?
- 11:08Yes.
- 11:08I'm always looking for my next one for what I need.
- 11:11Mm-hmm.
- 11:11Um,'cause I, you know, I always think, okay, I have a gap here.
- 11:14Now there's that, you know.
- 11:16You cannot get anywhere without other people's knowledge.
- 11:19It just won't happen.
- 11:20Right.
- 11:20So how do you figure that out?
- 11:22You have coaches advising you and you, you, you just, you figure it out yourself, but it's, yeah.
- 11:26Okay.
- 11:27I mean, I didn't figure this out.
- 11:28I, I realized, I did realize though that, you know, okay, I need to, 10 x was not the, you can't 10 x right away, right.
- 11:35Right's.
- 11:35Just a myth.
- 11:36This whole thing of the Grant Cardone Cenex right away.
- 11:38It's not true.
- 11:39You need to get something going where you have material, you have something, then you two x, then you might, you know, two, and, and for a while, you two x for a while until you are ready where you have resources where you're like, okay, I'm doing a bunch of stuff that if I stop doing that, got the time, I could build other things, but I need people to take those jobs on.
- 11:58And often you'll have a little bit of a dip, which is scary for people.
- 12:01Know.
- 12:01Mm-hmm.
- 12:02Mm-hmm.
- 12:02So, um, and then you will get great people working for you and then they'll stop doing, you know, everybody's hard to get good help when you do get good help, they'll be good for a while and then they might not.
- 12:13And so that whole thing, you don't plug a team and you train people, you get them good and you keep training, keep training and then, or at another one and then they might go on.
- 12:21You know, it's human beings are not robots.
- 12:25Right, right.
- 12:25Good point.
- 12:25Now, pretty soon we are be able, gonna be able to use bots for a lot days.
- 12:30And some of that's a good thing because people aren't gonna do their jobs properly.
- 12:34Well, then a bot should get their job.
- 12:36That's just the way I think.
- 12:37Okay.
- 12:38Okay.
- 12:38Yeah.
- 12:39So how do you find, or how do you make balance in your life?
- 12:44Because I know family's important.
- 12:46I know your time is important, your downtime is important.
- 12:50How do you keep all the balls in the air?
- 12:53Do you go heavy, hard and then take breaks?
- 12:56How does that work for you and how did you figure that out?
- 13:00Okay, so I don't sit around like most people figuring stuff out.
- 13:05That's because that's two questions about how do I figure that out?
- 13:08And I love your, your like very organized way of questioning and I have to say that.
- 13:14I don't sit around thinking, gee, how am I gonna do this?
- 13:17Yeah.
- 13:18Because when I first started it was like, okay, you just have to do this.
- 13:21I didn't sit around thinking, oh gee, where's my work-life balance?
- 13:24Yeah.
- 13:24I need to make money.
- 13:25I'm drowning in debt.
- 13:27Yeah.
- 13:27I got two children.
- 13:28The work-life balance, that's, that's not something that comes into it.
- 13:31People are so worried about that.
- 13:32There is no balance.
- 13:33Mm-hmm.
- 13:34Here's the, here's the, the whole thing.
- 13:35There is no balance.
- 13:37There isn't.
- 13:39Just, you're working or you're not.
- 13:41Mm-hmm.
- 13:41You're taking time off or you're not.
- 13:43But if you are worried about the concept of balance, there's a problem.
- 13:49That's the problem.
- 13:51You're so worried.
- 13:51Everybody's so worried about that.
- 13:53Do you think I care about whether my life was balanced or not?
- 13:56No.
- 13:57I have a great life and all I know is it's fantastic.
- 14:01And if I'm working more than other people, well it's'cause I want to.
- 14:05Right.
- 14:05And I sit around going, oh gee, if I wanna take, then I'll just take off 10 days and go to Dubai.
- 14:10Mm-hmm.
- 14:11There's my be and then I'm like, okay, well I'm not working for 10 days here and there tiny bit.
- 14:16Sure.
- 14:16Actually.
- 14:17And then I, you know, took another week off'cause I want to mm-hmm.
- 14:19There's, there's my harmonization.
- 14:21Mm-hmm.
- 14:21Tony Robbins calls it harmonization.
- 14:24Love that.
- 14:24Yeah.
- 14:25People are so worried, oh gee, I can't do that because my work life balance.
- 14:30Oh, it's not a balance for sure.
- 14:31If you're being a terrible parent ignoring your kids, well, there's a problem there.
- 14:34Sure.
- 14:35That's just, you're ignore.
- 14:36That's not about balance.
- 14:37That's just, don't ignore your kids, please.
- 14:39So when you see it that way, that you're gonna do certain things and you're gonna worry about, not worry about the concept so much.
- 14:47Mm-hmm.
- 14:49Ask the questions, am I spending enough time with my kids?
- 14:51Answer is yes.
- 14:52Great.
- 14:52We're good.
- 14:54Now, I wasn't taking week on weekends off when I started because I couldn't.
- 14:59Yeah, exactly.
- 15:00I was, I was not working all day Saturday.
- 15:01No.
- 15:02Because I was spending time with my kids and driving them all over the bloom place for all sorts of stuff, but I was doing a couple hours here and there.
- 15:08I wasn't like, oh no, I can't do a thing on a Saturday.
- 15:11Well, I've got to, yeah.
- 15:12So I just did and I did what I needed to do and sometimes I was putting three or four hours in on a Saturday and sometimes Saturday night, but I was still spending all day with my kids, taking'em to sports and stuff.
- 15:21So I wasn't saying, you know what kid, you're gonna sit in the room and I'm gonna work all day Saturday.
- 15:25Yeah.
- 15:25It's about just fitting it in.
- 15:27Yeah.
- 15:27Sunday I take, I, I always took Sundays off.
- 15:30That, that because the Lord stays, so I take Sundays off.
- 15:32Mm-hmm.
- 15:33But.
- 15:34Would I do a bit here and there?
- 15:35Yes.
- 15:36I'd do a live here and there or whatever.
- 15:37If I needed to, I wanted to, I could, right?
- 15:39Yeah.
- 15:40But generally, Sunday was my day.
- 15:41But I did message people and I booked calls on Sundays.
- 15:44Right.
- 15:45Because I, I was like, well, I need to book some calls because I don't have my calls booked for sa you.
- 15:48So I did what it took, but I never sat around thinking, oh my gosh.
- 15:52'cause I love what I do.
- 15:53So, yeah, that's, so, like yesterday, I took the day off.
- 15:56It's Easter Monday.
- 15:57I thought I'm taking the day off.
- 15:58I'm gonna take my kids on a a day trip.
- 15:59We had a great time.
- 16:01Nice.
- 16:01So I did.
- 16:02'cause I wanted to, I always take Easter Monday off actually.
- 16:04Yeah.
- 16:04I like having two days.
- 16:05Okay, nice.
- 16:06But you know what?
- 16:07I don't take a lot of time off during Christmas.
- 16:09Yep.
- 16:10I take Christmas and Boxing Day and maybe another day that's all I wanna take off.
- 16:14Yeah.
- 16:14Because December's one of my biggest months, so why would I take December summer off?
- 16:18Right?
- 16:19Because I don't think like other people, oh, I don't think, gee, December's coming is gonna be a terrible one.
- 16:24Don't work.
- 16:24I'm like, December's one of my greatest months.
- 16:26I work really hard in December.
- 16:27So when you lose all these.
- 16:30So-called imposed needs.
- 16:32Yeah.
- 16:33Your life is better.
- 16:34Nice.
- 16:35Yeah.
- 16:36And, and what I'm hearing you say is very linked to the concept of our show.
- 16:43By doing it for you.
- 16:44By you, because of you.
- 16:45Yeah.
- 16:45What is best for you?
- 16:47It's not, this is what you need to do.
- 16:50What works for you is what's going to work for everything that you do because it's in alignment and you've gotta play with it.
- 17:00You've gotta understand, like you were saying, I, yes, I do Sunday, but I block it off or I take the time off, but it doesn't mean I'm like, no work that doesn't resonate for you.
- 17:13And well, now I take Sundays off and maybe I'll answer an email.
- 17:18Okay.
- 17:18See that was when I'm you.
- 17:20The thing is this, there's phases.
- 17:22So when I wasn't, ah, do you understand?
- 17:25When I first got online, I'm like, this has to work.
- 17:27Why would I be like, Jean, I'm not making any money.
- 17:29I'm drowning in debt, but I'm not gonna work.
- 17:31No.
- 17:31Right, exactly.
- 17:32People need to have a sense of urgency about the context of their lives.
- 17:36Does that make sense?
- 17:37So what I'm surprised by is that people are in debt, the businesses aren't working.
- 17:43But they have all these non-negotiables.
- 17:45I'm like, well, no.
- 17:45This is not the time for a non-negotiable.
- 17:47Yes.
- 17:47Does that make sense?
- 17:49Yeah, absolutely.
- 17:50You, I, when you get more successful and you get more help, then you're non-negotiables.
- 17:54Like there's certain things I will not do.
- 17:56I'll have a team member do it, I just won't do it.
- 17:57Sure.
- 17:58But I used to do it.
- 17:59Now that's my non-negotiable because I have to get things off my plate.
- 18:02Right.
- 18:02But before I was like, no, I'm just gonna do whatever it takes.
- 18:05And even now I'll do things if a team member can't, okay, I'll do it then.
- 18:08Right?
- 18:08They're sick or whatever, you know?
- 18:10Of course I'm not gonna be, no, I'm not gonna do it.
- 18:12It needs to be done.
- 18:13But.
- 18:14Things change as the phases.
- 18:15Then you learn that.
- 18:17Now some people are not good at letting go stuff.
- 18:19Yeah.
- 18:20And it's like, wait a minute, you should hire somebody to do that.
- 18:22And they're like, oh wow.
- 18:24That's right.
- 18:25Okay.
- 18:25So you wanna see where you're earning more money, right.
- 18:29Then you can hire more people, but don't just try to get rid of everything all at once.
- 18:32'cause that doesn't work either.
- 18:34Right.
- 18:34But then there's a new non-negotiable.
- 18:36The non-negotiable is, okay, there's a certain task I used to do.
- 18:39Now I don't do that.
- 18:40My assistant does that.
- 18:42Right.
- 18:42Okay.
- 18:43And then that's when you, when you start to slowly delegate stuff, but not just throw things at people and go.
- 18:49Now, that's the other thing.
- 18:50Some people earn a bit of money.
- 18:51Usually it's 30 K months.
- 18:53When people earn 30 K months, they think they're the king of the world.
- 18:56That's great to earn 30 K months.
- 18:59That's not like you don't just stop doing everything at that point.
- 19:02Right.
- 19:02Okay.
- 19:03That's, I notice 23rd, there's, I'm so rich, I'm just gonna.
- 19:07Everything getting ready to do everything.
- 19:08So they just start handing stuff off without training people properly, because they're like, I'm not gonna do any, I'm gonna get a personal assistant, I'm gonna, but they're not training these people.
- 19:16Yeah.
- 19:16They're not integrated to do what they need to do.
- 19:18So then the business goes under.
- 19:20Yeah, and then they always say to me, yeah, I shouldn't have.
- 19:23I was like, yeah, you shouldn't taken your finger off that pulse.
- 19:25Yeah, exactly.
- 19:26You're gonna be in there.
- 19:27Your finger in the pie.
- 19:28You have to be in there watching your business.
- 19:30But people like to just.
- 19:32They think they're gonna hand their business off to a Filipino va.
- 19:35That VA can run your business.
- 19:38They would not be a Filipino VA making X amount per dollars.
- 19:40Per per hour.
- 19:42Great point.
- 19:43Great point.
- 19:43Totally, totally love what you're saying.
- 19:46Not fair either.
- 19:47Yeah, exactly.
- 19:48On either end, a hundred percent.
- 19:50It's not fair to throw, say to some person here, just run my business for me.
- 19:54This is not no that.
- 19:55You have to train them for each task and they do certain things and that's it.
- 19:59Right.
- 20:00So, so is that what you do is support people?
- 20:03I can see this being a really important piece because leadership and owning a business are so, so important, and to do it in a way that continues if you are interested in a growth.
- 20:20Of a business, there are key elements that you need to understand, and so having somebody like yourself, is that the type of thing that you help people with, is discovering those parts and I mean, that's like a, an add-on.
- 20:35Okay.
- 20:35The main thing we help with is getting clients with no ads.
- 20:39Okay.
- 20:40And if people come into my year, yes, it's everything.
- 20:44It's gotcha.
- 20:45Delegation when you, you know, how, how to hire somebody, how to, well, we actually train the VAs for our higher end client.
- 20:52Oh, okay.
- 20:53Sure.
- 20:53Your clients.
- 20:54We can, they can send, we just want it to be as easy as possible for our clients.
- 20:59So I actually created.
- 21:00One of my team members trains my clients' VAs for messaging.
- 21:04'cause that's the hardest thing.
- 21:05Oh, beautiful.
- 21:06Yep.
- 21:06Yeah.
- 21:06So we really want it to, like, I, I, I want my clients to make it easier for them than it was for me.
- 21:12I.
- 21:13Hmm.
- 21:13Because for me it was a lot of work.
- 21:15Yes, you have to do the work.
- 21:16And I'm always thinking, how can we shortcut this and make them not go through all that really, really hard?
- 21:20'cause most people can't do what I do, and I know that.
- 21:24Yeah.
- 21:24I, I know that.
- 21:25Yeah.
- 21:25So instead of saying, well, just do what I did.
- 21:27Well, let's do the path that I did, do the path that I did.
- 21:32You have to have resilience and grit, and you have to do some work.
- 21:34Of course, we're gonna help you make it a little bit easier than what I had to figure out for myself.
- 21:39So we'll show you how to hire person.
- 21:41We will actually help train the person.
- 21:44Mm-hmm.
- 21:44But, but there's, yes, there's lead there.
- 21:47There's all sorts of things.
- 21:48It's not just, here's the marketing, it's also, it's also about developing a mindset of, of not complaining about everything.
- 21:57Mm-hmm.
- 21:57When I hear myself complaining about stuff, I'm like, okay, stop.
- 22:00Yeah, that is not a good mindset.
- 22:02I used to be a big complainer and certainly it's part of my personality, but I'm like, stop.
- 22:06Okay.
- 22:06Yeah.
- 22:07Go back to the gain, go back to the gratitude of everything that's going well, because everything is going well.
- 22:12I mean, I'm so grateful for my business, but we get to this point, all people, all human beings do this.
- 22:18Yeah.
- 22:19That we start seeing, oh, that's a problem, but wait a minute.
- 22:21What?
- 22:22What about, what's going right?
- 22:23Yeah.
- 22:23So we try to teach our clients also like, let's look at the gain.
- 22:27What is going on that's fantastic here, and build on that.
- 22:30There's a lot of mindset.
- 22:32Also, I must say, being a good leader is not easy for anyone.
- 22:36Nope.
- 22:37Because we're human beings.
- 22:39Yep.
- 22:40That's just a fact.
- 22:41Yep.
- 22:42There's all this stuff about being a good leader.
- 22:43I love it.
- 22:44'cause I was a leadership coach.
- 22:45However, let's be real practicing that on a daily basis with all the annoyance we have in life and being tired and kids and husbands and relationships and health and everything.
- 22:56Yeah.
- 22:56You know, to then say, okay, I have a business and I gotta be a good leader.
- 23:00The people that are working with me and my clients, that's an extra job and it's important I.
- 23:05Yeah.
- 23:06Yeah.
- 23:06It's pivotal.
- 23:08Yeah.
- 23:08Yeah.
- 23:08Yeah.
- 23:09And that goes back to, again, making sure you look after yourself, for you, by you, because of you as the center point.
- 23:17Because when you forget about yourself and what's important for you, then the, the thread starts to unravel.
- 23:27Mm.
- 23:28So.
- 23:28Giving back time to yourself.
- 23:30One last question before we depart.
- 23:33What kind of impact do you want to create?
- 23:40You know, my purpose, I have a 40 year purpose.
- 23:44Yay.
- 23:44And I started last year, but I, I was already on it, but I actually had a coach, two co i two coaches.
- 23:51I actually have, like, I'm in a, with a mentor now about my, just about my purpose because once you make money.
- 23:58After the first million, you know, you have to, I always had purpose so I can make the second and third and blah, blah, blah.
- 24:04But after a while it's like, okay, you're out of the survival.
- 24:10Mm-hmm.
- 24:12And you get on the highers, you know, Maslow's hierarchy.
- 24:15Yeah.
- 24:15When you're thinking more about what is my purpose?
- 24:17Yeah.
- 24:18I have several purposes.
- 24:19There's my purpose for my kids, my spirituality, and other people.
- 24:22Yeah.
- 24:22So for the world, my 40 year purpose is to help as many people on this earth to thrive and prosper.
- 24:31Hmm.
- 24:32Especially with AI coming.
- 24:34Mm-hmm.
- 24:35Okay.
- 24:36So that's my purpose.
- 24:37So that purpose is also in my coaching.
- 24:40It's not just, Hey, pay me some money and we're gonna help you.
- 24:43It's like we really care about my clients.
- 24:46Mm-hmm.
- 24:46And others.
- 24:47Mm-hmm.
- 24:48Thriving that this is gonna work prospering, because what's the point?
- 24:52Otherwise, why?
- 24:53Why, right?
- 24:53Why would it be like, Hey, pay me money and Sure we're gonna make you help you make money.
- 24:56You know, that's, yeah.
- 24:57There's no heart in it.
- 24:58It won't work.
- 24:59Yeah.
- 25:00And by the way, human beings often don't do the work.
- 25:03Okay.
- 25:04So we are there also to train and you know, coach on the mindset of doing the work.
- 25:11'cause it is so easy to say, sure, I'll pay you money.
- 25:14And then people think it's gonna be a magic wand.
- 25:16Some work has to be done right?
- 25:18Absolutely.
- 25:19A hundred percent.
- 25:20A hundred percent, yeah.
- 25:21Do you find that that's a big, um, change that's happened over time in terms of the work ethic?
- 25:29No, I think that human beings are, generally, it's, they, they, you know, some, we have great clients.
- 25:36I have high achievers.
- 25:37High achievers generally do the work.
- 25:39Yeah, that is great.
- 25:40Yeah.
- 25:41Um, we've gotten more and more and more high achievers'cause I attract that.
- 25:44Okay.
- 25:45We have a lot of coaches aiding and abetting.
- 25:47We have different coaches aiding and abetting the work getting done.
- 25:50So it's not like, Hey, go do the work.
- 25:52I, I think that's obnoxious to go, just go, just do the work.
- 25:56Yeah.
- 25:56Yeah.
- 25:56But how do I do the work well here?
- 25:57Yeah.
- 25:58Exactly.
- 25:58Help you.
- 25:59Does that make sense?
- 26:00So Yeah, totally.
- 26:00I'm obnoxious to tell people, just go do the work.
- 26:03No training, but just go figure it out.
- 26:05Yeah.
- 26:05Which is what people to me, and I did figure it out, but.
- 26:08I'm not the average person.
- 26:10Right.
- 26:10So I did just share all figure it out.
- 26:12But why should they when they pay money, you know?
- 26:14Yes.
- 26:15You do need to do some work.
- 26:16We will help.
- 26:17Yeah.
- 26:17We have all sorts of coaches aiding and abetting, as I said.
- 26:20Yeah.
- 26:20And there's a point, I mean, most people in my program, we have a 90% success rate.
- 26:24That's enormous.
- 26:26Huge.
- 26:27Yeah.
- 26:27Huge.
- 26:2810%.
- 26:2910% of people refuse, even with all of our coaching, they don't wanna do the work.
- 26:34They want a magic.
- 26:35They just want it to, yeah.
- 26:36They want a client to just drop on their threshold with no work.
- 26:40Mm-hmm.
- 26:40Yeah.
- 26:40That's just, no, I'm not saying 10% of my clients want that.
- 26:44Yeah.
- 26:44That's not it.
- 26:45But I, I'd say 10%.
- 26:48It's pretty good though.
- 26:4990% is a very high, high.
- 26:51It's a great, yeah.
- 26:52Well, and quite frankly, I, I believe it's because.
- 26:58Your passion exists, your drive exists.
- 27:02You are unique, and as a result, all those pieces that you continue to put together, you're a learner.
- 27:08You always have somebody that's helping you because you know there is no finish line because life is about learning and everybody who comes into your circle will benefit.
- 27:20There's no doubt about that.
- 27:21I can feel that.
- 27:22Thank also my podcast.
- 27:24Thank you.
- 27:25The podcast is just a free thing.
- 27:26I just get guests and there's no nothing being sold there.
- 27:30Mm-hmm.
- 27:30It's not even about my business, it's about general, general stuff, because I really have a mission to educate people.
- 27:38Yeah.
- 27:38And also I earn a learn a lot.
- 27:39I learned, so I know on my own podcast.
- 27:42So it's all a win.
- 27:44But thank you for that because that's my mission, is that that, that when people come in, they're better off.
- 27:49Yeah.
- 27:50Having met me and my team,'cause it's not just me, my team is of course incredible.
- 27:55We have the best team ever.
- 27:57It's, it's a few good coaches that are specialists.
- 28:00Mm-hmm.
- 28:00In what they do.
- 28:01So yeah, I'm passionate about this and you know, we just do our best Now do we get a couple bad clients here and there?
- 28:08Well, yeah, I'll be honest and I'm just gonna say this'cause nobody admits to this on podcasts.
- 28:13Yeah, yeah.
- 28:14But you've had bad clients, right?
- 28:17Yep.
- 28:17Absolutely.
- 28:18Yeah.
- 28:18Nobody wants to admit to that.
- 28:20Yeah.
- 28:20There are clients that come in.
- 28:23This is rare, that are not great clients.
- 28:26Yeah.
- 28:27And I just wanted to put that out there.
- 28:28'cause I think people feel this guilt that they attract certain clients sometimes and they feel like shame, ashamed and there's shame.
- 28:36There's no shame that you're not batting a hundred.
- 28:39Yeah, exactly.
- 28:40That's how.
- 28:40How else do you learn?
- 28:41How else do you learn?
- 28:42Well, I mean also, you know, some people come in and they look like they're going to do the work and then Yeah, for sure.
- 28:48Right.
- 28:48So I just wanted to put that out.
- 28:50There're all people, all businesses.
- 28:53Yep.
- 28:53Get clients that are not the best clients all the time.
- 28:57Absolutely.
- 28:58And I'd be lying if I said that every single client that came in was just amazing.
- 29:01We have had some bad clients in the years.
- 29:04Yep.
- 29:04It's happened.
- 29:05Yeah.
- 29:05And you do feel like, gee, how did that happen?
- 29:07And why?
- 29:08Why?
- 29:08Why did we attract this?
- 29:10Because it's just a numbers, yeah.
- 29:11Numbers thing.
- 29:12Yep.
- 29:13Yeah.
- 29:14No, totally.
- 29:15And thank you for bringing that up because I.
- 29:18This is what this show is about, and I'm sure your show too is all about what's real and we're not making things up here.
- 29:25This you're speaking from your heart.
- 29:27I'm speaking from my heart.

- 30:00Now, NOW.

- 30:10Take the step and put your foot in the door.
- 30:13Thank you for that.
- 30:13That gave me chills.
- 30:16Beautiful.
- 30:17Have a wonderful day everyone.
- 30:19Take care of yourselves and remember, thrive after 45.
- 30:25Take care.
- 30:27Bye.
