- 0:31Speaker 2: There's a problem here and we're going to dive into it.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Marxists are trying to take over our country. They may succeed,
- 0:43Speaker 2: and while that's happening, the most influential conservative commentators are
- 0:49Speaker 2: arguing about each other. That's the problem. We're going to
- 0:55Speaker 2: dive into that in the first segment of today's program.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I had this plan over the weekend, and of course
- 1:01Speaker 2: it's a long weekend since the last podcast is on
- 1:04Speaker 2: Thursday and the first one is on Monday. I had
- 1:06Speaker 2: this plan over the weekend to devote the entire Monday
- 1:11Speaker 2: podcast Today's podcast to two stories. So had this joke. Unfortunately,
- 1:17Speaker 2: we're not going to do what I plan to do,
- 1:18Speaker 2: but I have this. I still have the joke in
- 1:20Speaker 2: my mind, and now I can't use the joke. And
- 1:22Speaker 2: you know how it is when I can't use a joke,
- 1:24Speaker 2: When something funny occurs to me, I feel the need
- 1:26Speaker 2: to tell the joke anyway, even if it doesn't apply,
- 1:28Speaker 2: because I mean, it's just otherwise it's flopping around in
- 1:31Speaker 2: my brain useless. So now I have to do it.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I was gonna say, this is a two story podcast.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Two stories. You have to walk up the steps to
- 1:41Speaker 2: get to the second one. It's a stupid joke. It's
- 1:44Speaker 2: amazing that it's amazing that I felt the need to
- 1:47Speaker 2: tell the joke when it's that stupid. I think I've
- 1:50Speaker 2: done pretty well though, telling stupid jokes and making and
- 1:53Speaker 2: getting amusement out of the fact that they were funny,
- 1:56Speaker 2: mostly because they were so stupid. Johnny Carson was pretty
- 1:59Speaker 2: good at that, was it. He He kind of like
- 2:02Speaker 2: bomb out and it was funnier to bomb out than anyway.
- 2:07Speaker 2: There are two huge stories that we're going to kind
- 2:12Speaker 2: of at least my podcast standards, do a deep dive into,
- 2:15Speaker 2: and some other stories that I want to cover. We're
- 2:17Speaker 2: going to open with the one that I just mentioned
- 2:19Speaker 2: a moment ago. First, you Line moves fast so your
- 2:22Speaker 2: business doesn't miss a beat. From shipping and industrial supplies

- 2:45Speaker 2: other business needs. Visit you Line dot com. All right,
- 2:56Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you what's going on here, and
- 2:59Speaker 2: we're going to dive into it in some depth, and
- 3:02Speaker 2: then I'm going to give you my theory as to
- 3:06Speaker 2: why it's going on. For those of you who were
- 3:12Speaker 2: not listeners to my old radio show, I talked all
- 3:14Speaker 2: the time about you have to know the why. You
- 3:16Speaker 2: have to figure out the why to understand the what.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Here's the why. There has been over the last several
- 3:30Speaker 2: months a growing rift. Isn't the right word. War might
- 3:36Speaker 2: be the right word between some of the most important
- 3:41Speaker 2: conservative media voices kind of separate and outside of this
- 3:47Speaker 2: would be say Fox News, Newsmax, some of the others,
- 3:51Speaker 2: the voices that are kind of mostly on cable television,
- 3:56Speaker 2: but the other sphere of conservative commentators, primarily podcasters people
- 4:02Speaker 2: like me, but at the highest level of this, have
- 4:09Speaker 2: been engaging in open warfare. And as I said at
- 4:13Speaker 2: the beginning, you can't possibly miss the point any worse
- 4:18Speaker 2: than this. For the first time in my lifetime, and
- 4:21Speaker 2: I would say the first time seriously, I actually would
- 4:25Speaker 2: think the first time ever. The Red scare during the
- 4:29Speaker 2: McCarthy era, it was very unlikely that the Communists, the
- 4:35Speaker 2: people siding with Russia and so on, we're actually gonna
- 4:37Speaker 2: take over the country. They didn't. First time in my lifetime,
- 4:42Speaker 2: Marxism has taken hold and it is growing in popularity.
- 4:49Speaker 2: You take a look and you can say, no, all
- 4:51Speaker 2: New York is very liberal. True when you take a
- 4:53Speaker 2: look at the voting patterns of people under the age
- 4:56Speaker 2: of forty in New York, I mean, Mamdanni just killed.
- 5:01Speaker 2: When you take a look at the blowback from Democrats
- 5:06Speaker 2: across the country, furious with the handful of Democratic senators
- 5:12Speaker 2: who voted to end the filibuster last night, it's just
- 5:15Speaker 2: clear we have a Marxist movement that is not fringe anymore,
- 5:20Speaker 2: that it is mainstreaming. I think it is likely that
- 5:22Speaker 2: the Democratic candidate in twenty eight for president is going
- 5:25Speaker 2: to be a Marxist and we're going to have a
- 5:28Speaker 2: tremendous battle between capitalism, which now seems to be Mega
- 5:33Speaker 2: and Marxism. And while this is going on, the most
- 5:35Speaker 2: important voices in Mega slash capitalism slash conservatism are angrily
- 5:43Speaker 2: attacking one another. Now, before I dive into this, there
- 5:53Speaker 2: are going to be some people say, who are you
- 5:54Speaker 2: to criticize this? Aren't you always criticizing the Wisconsin Republican Party. Yes,
- 6:03Speaker 2: I'm going to explain why there's a difference here. The
- 6:06Speaker 2: Wisconsin Republican Party keeps losing elections and the leadership is
- 6:12Speaker 2: screwed up. The same is not true with what's going
- 6:18Speaker 2: on in the conservative movement in America. We just won
- 6:22Speaker 2: the presidency of the United States with a candidate overcoming
- 6:26Speaker 2: more thrown at him than maybe any figure in American
- 6:29Speaker 2: history other than those that were outright assassinated. The House
- 6:37Speaker 2: and the Senator Republican. There is Republican governors all over
- 6:41Speaker 2: the country. So there isn't the level of failure that
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'm seeing that requires structural change here in the state
- 6:51Speaker 2: of Wisconsin. So that's my backdrop. Some of the venom
- 6:58Speaker 2: seems to be coming from two to three really prominent
- 7:03Speaker 2: voices on the right. In the cases of a couple
- 7:07Speaker 2: of them, they are accused of going off the rails.
- 7:09Speaker 2: The third one has been off the rails the whole time.
- 7:15Speaker 2: They have a lot that they agree with in common,
- 7:18Speaker 2: but as often happens here, the things that they disagree
- 7:22Speaker 2: about are creating visceral animosity and it is an enormous problem.
- 7:32Speaker 2: The way that I'm going to dive into and illustrate
- 7:34Speaker 2: this is through I think she called it Kelly Festa whatever.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Megan Kelly had a two day event in which she
- 7:43Speaker 2: invited a number of prominent conservative figures to come on
- 7:46Speaker 2: the stage and do interviews with her, which she then
- 7:49Speaker 2: put onto her podcast. But she did it in front
- 7:51Speaker 2: of an audience. I think all the big ones are there,
- 7:53Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson, Shapiro, Michael Knowles, etc. And it was one
- 7:58Speaker 2: on one and so on, and she spent a fair
- 8:01Speaker 2: amount of time discussing with the both of them why
- 8:03Speaker 2: they're all beating up on one another. There are two
- 8:09Speaker 2: separate cases here, but all of this is related. The
- 8:12Speaker 2: first one is Candae Owans. No again, I'm going to
- 8:17Speaker 2: get to the why I think all of this is
- 8:18Speaker 2: going on at the end, so bear with me. Candace
- 8:24Speaker 2: Owens is a remarkably talented personality. She has an extremely
- 8:29Speaker 2: popular podcast. She emerged from really obscurity ten years ago
- 8:35Speaker 2: to being a giant. But in the process of going
- 8:40Speaker 2: from obscurity to a giant. She's really stamped on the
- 8:43Speaker 2: people that gave her a leg up on the way up,
- 8:46Speaker 2: and she seems to be in fact stomping on everyone,
- 8:50Speaker 2: and some people believe that she's wandered off into Weirdoville.
- 8:55Speaker 2: The thing about this is that it is impossible to
- 8:58Speaker 2: say Candace is right Candace is wrong. It's way more
- 9:00Speaker 2: nuanced than that. For example, she's done this expose on
- 9:08Speaker 2: the wife of the French leader Macron, Brigitte Macron, and
- 9:13Speaker 2: as a very compelling case that mcron's wife is actually
- 9:19Speaker 2: mccrone's natural father who's had a sex change operation and
- 9:24Speaker 2: then would his own child once he became she It
- 9:28Speaker 2: is bizarre, but the case that she makes is compelling, persuasive,
- 9:33Speaker 2: and believable. I don't know if it's true, but it
- 9:37Speaker 2: is believable. So I'm not talking about that. I'm talking
- 9:40Speaker 2: about some of the other positions that she's taken, some
- 9:44Speaker 2: of which seem to be, if not openly anti semitic,
- 9:50Speaker 2: borderline and in the process attacking conservative allies. Leading up
- 9:57Speaker 2: to the most latest incident in which she seems to
- 10:03Speaker 2: be trying to take down all of Turning Point USA,
- 10:06Speaker 2: which is I think the most important conservative organization to
- 10:10Speaker 2: develop it in my lifetime. This was discussed at this
- 10:17Speaker 2: weekend Megan Kelly event last week Megan Kelly event. And
- 10:21Speaker 2: Megan's talking here with Ben Shapiro. Ben Shapiro's another podcaster,
- 10:25Speaker 2: and he's been very critical of Candice Owen's. Meghan's role
- 10:32Speaker 2: in all of this just seems to be she's trying
- 10:35Speaker 2: to be the peacemaker. She's trying to do what I'm
- 10:37Speaker 2: kind of advocating here, the people that need to understand
- 10:40Speaker 2: that you need to aim your criticism at the Marxists
- 10:46Speaker 2: that are trying to take over this country, the people
- 10:47Speaker 2: that have abused the government and weaponized the government against conservatives,
- 10:53Speaker 2: including etc. So that's her role. And she's talking to
- 10:57Speaker 2: Ben Shapiro here. And this is a rather brief segments
- 11:01Speaker 2: fifty seconds or so in which the subject of Candace
- 11:04Speaker 2: Owans comes up. Let's listen to it.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I think that what Candie Owns is doing right now
- 11:08Speaker 3: is evil. It is evil what she is doing right now. Okay,
- 11:12Speaker 3: and I say that again, but what because like.
- 11:16Speaker 4: I don't know pine on whether it's evil or not.
- 11:18Speaker 4: But my position is it's really none of my business,
- 11:20Speaker 4: and why is it?
- 11:21Speaker 3: But I have a question, why is it none of
- 11:23Speaker 3: your business? I mean, you comment on these things for
- 11:25Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 11:25Speaker 2: I'm not mother of the Internet.
- 11:26Speaker 3: No, But if this were on the left and somebody
- 11:29Speaker 3: were accusing Charlie Kirk of his wife having murdered him,
- 11:32Speaker 3: I assume that you would be talking about it.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Is that what Candace is accusing Erica of Yes of
- 11:37Speaker 4: murdering her own husband.
- 11:38Speaker 3: She's accusing TPUSA insiders and other members of the right wing,
- 11:41Speaker 3: including Seth Dyllan, of being involved in the murder of
- 11:45Speaker 3: Charlie Kirk.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yes, all right, that summary by Shapiro is essentially accurate.
- 11:55Speaker 2: There's a backstory here. Candace Owen's at one point almost
- 12:03Speaker 2: the partner of Charlie Kirk. In turning point, there was
- 12:07Speaker 2: a falling out. She also had a falling out years
- 12:11Speaker 2: earlier with Ben Shapiro, who you just heard there. And
- 12:14Speaker 2: as I say, some of the critics of Candace point
- 12:16Speaker 2: out that the people that gave her her breaks to
- 12:19Speaker 2: begin with and gave her platforms are the ones that
- 12:22Speaker 2: she's stomped on the hardest. There was a falling out
- 12:26Speaker 2: with her and turning Point, and as I say, there
- 12:30Speaker 2: tends to be falling out with Candace in just about
- 12:33Speaker 2: everybody that she's ever dealt with. All Right, Charlie Kirk
- 12:38Speaker 2: has assassinated. There are many people who are wondering how
- 12:42Speaker 2: this could happen, and some people have taken the look
- 12:45Speaker 2: at videos and look at this, look at that, look
- 12:48Speaker 2: at the other thing, and so on. Cannas has taken
- 12:50Speaker 2: it a step further in which she's on her podcast
- 12:53Speaker 2: essentially accused the leadership of Turning Point of being involved
- 12:58Speaker 2: in the killing of Charlie Kirk and setting all of
- 13:00Speaker 2: this up. And her strong implication is is that Erica
- 13:04Speaker 2: Kirk was the ringleader of this so she could take
- 13:06Speaker 2: over Turning Point USA. So Kenneth is saying this, I
- 13:12Speaker 2: think she's out of her mind or has become demagogic
- 13:18Speaker 2: on that issue. There is no proof of anything that
- 13:26Speaker 2: she says. On the other hand, there is an intense
- 13:30Speaker 2: FBI investigation and determine whether or not the weirdo who
- 13:36Speaker 2: was in love with a trans roommate and trying to
- 13:39Speaker 2: impress the trans roommate did he act on his own
- 13:43Speaker 2: or was there other assistance and so on, without regard
- 13:52Speaker 2: to what happened there. Candace Owens is being deliberately provocative
- 13:57Speaker 2: and basically as trying to bring down all of Turning Point,
- 14:02Speaker 2: which in the wake of Charlie's death, we don't know
- 14:04Speaker 2: if it's going to survive or not, but if it happens,
- 14:07Speaker 2: it would be devastating to the conservative movement. That's the
- 14:11Speaker 2: first one. Now, with regard to Candace, a lot of
- 14:15Speaker 2: people on the right who are in love with her
- 14:18Speaker 2: have written her off. This isn't a new thing, which
- 14:20Speaker 2: Shapiro said here. There are a lot of people who
- 14:23Speaker 2: think that Candace is gone half looney. Over the last
- 14:28Speaker 2: two to three years, I've considered her to be eclectic,
- 14:31Speaker 2: and I think that she's been trying to create her
- 14:33Speaker 2: own unique lane in Conservatism. That's before this lump everybody
- 14:40Speaker 2: involved a Turning Point together and all of them, never
- 14:43Speaker 2: mind if maybe one security person was in on something,
- 14:47Speaker 2: or I lump everybody in on killing Charlie Kirk. The
- 14:53Speaker 2: second area is perhaps more important, and it has to
- 15:00Speaker 2: do with Tucker Carlson. Tucker Carlson has changed since he's
- 15:06Speaker 2: left Fox. It may be that he's changed since he's
- 15:10Speaker 2: left Fox because there are a lot of things that
- 15:11Speaker 2: he wanted to dive into that. He knew that he
- 15:13Speaker 2: couldn't run Fox, and that he was liberated once Fox
- 15:17Speaker 2: got rid of him, and he's moved into his own empire,
- 15:20Speaker 2: which is certainly the reach of Tucker Carlson. Now it's
- 15:25Speaker 2: I don't even know how many times greater. But when
- 15:28Speaker 2: he was limited to Fox, there's a narrow universe of
- 15:30Speaker 2: people watching cable TV and following them on the web
- 15:33Speaker 2: that we're able to see it as opposed to the
- 15:35Speaker 2: empire that he's created now, in which his views are many, many,
- 15:38Speaker 2: many times he's way bigger. One of the areas of
- 15:47Speaker 2: disagreement that Tucker has and Tucker's, you know, was he
- 15:50Speaker 2: was in Trump's inner circle, and I don't even know
- 15:54Speaker 2: if he supports Trump anymore. It's it's, you know, Trump
- 15:57Speaker 2: has t talked, called him former supporter. And so it's
- 16:00Speaker 2: started as the rift over a single issue, which is
- 16:04Speaker 2: American support of Israel, which is certainly an important issue,
- 16:10Speaker 2: but I don't think most American conservatives think it's the
- 16:13Speaker 2: most important issue facing us right now. The marx has
- 16:17Speaker 2: taken over the Democratic Party and may take over the country,
- 16:20Speaker 2: for heaven's sakes, it's a bigger issue. I think these relationship,
- 16:22Speaker 2: but it started with that. Now Shapiro is Jewish, he
- 16:29Speaker 2: hasn't liked a lot of the things that Carlson did,
- 16:32Speaker 2: and one of the things that he's going to launch
- 16:33Speaker 2: into here in Paul. I think we can stop this
- 16:35Speaker 2: as we plan it through. I'm going to analyze this
- 16:37Speaker 2: as you heard. It's an extended thing in which Shapiro
- 16:41Speaker 2: defends He's been pounding on Carlson. Ben Shapiro's been pounding
- 16:48Speaker 2: on Tucker Carlson, and Tucker Carlson's been pounding on Ben
- 16:50Speaker 2: Shapiro and who started It is almost beyond the point
- 16:53Speaker 2: other than that they are going after one another, and
- 16:56Speaker 2: it's moved well beyond the issue of Israel to the
- 16:58Speaker 2: point that Shapiro is suggesting that Carlson is just endorsing
- 17:07Speaker 2: desk spots Carlson hand on Tucker. Carlson had on his
- 17:11Speaker 2: program a guy named Matt Fuentes is increasingly would you say,
- 17:19Speaker 2: Nick Foyd, you're right, Thank you for the correction, Nick Fes.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Nick Fuenes has gotten to be very very big. He
- 17:27Speaker 2: is to the far far, far right. He's spoken very
- 17:34Speaker 2: positively of Hitler. He was on Tucker Carlson's podcast. Now Megan,
- 17:44Speaker 2: who's trying to be the peacemaker with everybody here. She
- 17:47Speaker 2: likes Tucker Carlson, she likes Ben Shapiro. She's not been
- 17:50Speaker 2: spending any time criticizing anyone on the right. She's rightly focusing,
- 17:55Speaker 2: as I've tried to do, focus the real problem, which
- 17:58Speaker 2: is the left of media, et cetera. And they go
- 18:01Speaker 2: into this back and forth in which Shapiro says it
- 18:03Speaker 2: is essential to call all Carlson for some of the
- 18:06Speaker 2: things that he's doing, and he's now accusing him of
- 18:12Speaker 2: sucking up to Nick Fuentes by throwing him softballs and
- 18:16Speaker 2: sloppy wet kisses. I don't want to give the whole
- 18:19Speaker 2: thing away. Megan is taking the opposite approach. She thinks
- 18:24Speaker 2: that the use of the softballs was Tucker's attempt to
- 18:27Speaker 2: take down Nick Fouentes, not give him a platform. But
- 18:32Speaker 2: in this discussion that goes on for a few minutes here,
- 18:35Speaker 2: the whole thing about this battle on the right kind
- 18:40Speaker 2: of comes out. So let's listen to a portion of it.
- 18:44Speaker 3: The way I waited to attack Tucker until he glossed
- 18:47Speaker 3: Nick Fuentes, who is that has nothing to do with
- 18:50Speaker 3: his room. Nickquinez hates Ju.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm not saying he didn't have a right to go
- 18:54Speaker 2: after him.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I mean I think you you did.
- 18:56Speaker 4: We know it was right and you felt and he
- 18:58Speaker 4: mentioned a few times in his interview with he did.
- 19:01Speaker 3: But again I don't think it's about that, because if
- 19:02Speaker 3: he had not mentioned me in that interview with Nick
- 19:04Speaker 3: fines As, I still would have said something about it,
- 19:05Speaker 3: because again, glossing people who are white supremacists is bad electorally.
- 19:10Speaker 3: On a pragmatic level, a right wing that embraces its
- 19:13Speaker 3: own fringes will end up in the same position as
- 19:15Speaker 3: a left wing that has embraced So that's.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Why I want to get into it.
- 19:18Speaker 3: It embraces Yes.
- 19:20Speaker 4: So now, having spoken to Tucker, I actually see that
- 19:23Speaker 4: interview very differently. And I did listen to the interview,
- 19:25Speaker 4: and I knew what Nick found says was and I
- 19:28Speaker 4: think he did show himself to be who he is.
- 19:30Speaker 4: It wasn't his most vile stuff, but you got the
- 19:32Speaker 4: feel for what this guy was. But I really think
- 19:34Speaker 4: Tucker was talking to him Ben to put like a
- 19:38Speaker 4: bumper on this guy, because what Tucker was urging him
- 19:41Speaker 4: the whole time was to understand that collective punishment for
- 19:44Speaker 4: any one group of people is wrong. It's deeply immoral,
- 19:47Speaker 4: and it's anti Christian, which this guy is supposed to be,
- 19:50Speaker 4: and reminding him of how deeply immoral that is, that
- 19:54Speaker 4: you should not be looking at a group of people
- 19:57Speaker 4: whomever it is. The Left does it to everyone, whites mostly,
- 20:02Speaker 4: but like this collective shame white men in particular, and
- 20:06Speaker 4: there's a group of people like Nick Funt does, that
- 20:08Speaker 4: does it to groups of Jews. And he was making
- 20:11Speaker 4: the case throughout the whole interview in the way that
- 20:13Speaker 4: Tucker does. He's not like you or me. He's not
- 20:15Speaker 4: like pointed in cross examining.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Not true and was making fundamentally untrue. No, no, no, Senator
- 20:21Speaker 3: Ted Cruz.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Whether that is he gave it to Ted Cruz because
- 20:23Speaker 4: Ted Cruz is a politician.
- 20:25Speaker 2: That's oh yeah, hold on.
- 20:27Speaker 3: So only politicians get cross examined, you don't, Well, it
- 20:29Speaker 3: depends on the person, Tucker. Tucker would never cross examine
- 20:31Speaker 3: a person who is not a politician.
- 20:33Speaker 2: That's his rule.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Hawker has excoriated public figures who purport to speak for
- 20:38Speaker 4: us and represent us for many years. Nick Funt does
- 20:42Speaker 4: is a podcaster civilian.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Okay, I just have a question. We all in our
- 20:47Speaker 3: industry are constantly excoriating people who are in our industry.
- 20:51Speaker 3: It happens all the time, every single day.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, get interview.
- 20:55Speaker 3: But again we can agree to disagree on your interpretation
- 20:59Speaker 3: of what Tucker was doing there. I think everybody should
- 21:01Speaker 3: watch and determine for themselves what they think Tucker was
- 21:04Speaker 3: doing in that interview. And I urge you to watch
- 21:06Speaker 3: it back to back with the Ted Cruz interview to
- 21:08Speaker 3: determine whether you think that that was an aggressive Tucker
- 21:11Speaker 3: Carlson interview, and you can judge that I.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Didn't say it.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I didn't say it was aggressive.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I don't think he would say it was aggressive. And
- 21:16Speaker 2: I think his.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Point was this guy, first of all, he's become a behemoth. Sadly,
- 21:20Speaker 4: he's got five million viewers on Rumble, he's got a
- 21:23Speaker 4: million followers on X.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I agree.
- 21:24Speaker 4: This is all before Tucker Carlson and he was platformed
- 21:27Speaker 4: to hate that verb. But he was platformed by Patrick
- 21:29Speaker 4: Beth David, and he went on Dave Smith Show, and
- 21:31Speaker 4: he went on another big show. He's been getting more
- 21:33Speaker 4: and more purchase in the political ecosphere, including right wing,
- 21:38Speaker 4: and I think that's Patrick Beck. David has a huge shoke.
- 21:40Speaker 4: I know, But Patrick, did you know that Patrick Beck
- 21:42Speaker 4: David had him on?
- 21:43Speaker 2: Did his life blow up?
- 21:44Speaker 3: Patrick Beck David did a significantly more aggressive interview with
- 21:47Speaker 3: Nick Fuentez than Tucker did.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Okay, but my point is simply he's growing, He's growing
- 21:51Speaker 4: in stature, and so what I saw Tucker do was
- 21:54Speaker 4: not whitewash his ideas, but try to put bumpers up
- 21:57Speaker 4: on the guy. I know Tucker well, and I think
- 21:59Speaker 4: that was his approach and the way, the way if
- 22:01Speaker 4: you want to put a bumper up on Nick Fuentes,
- 22:03Speaker 4: is it helpful to say you're fucking vile, you're an
- 22:07Speaker 4: anti semi No, it isn't.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Yes, that doesn't put up Yes.
- 22:10Speaker 3: You know it isn't.
- 22:11Speaker 4: That makes the audience feel good because you have hand
- 22:13Speaker 4: to hand combat, but it doesn't help change that guy's
- 22:16Speaker 4: view or his extreme, his extremeness at all.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Okay, I'll tell you what doesn't change Nick Flent's his view.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Tucker Carlson was his arm around Nick Flents grinning for
- 22:25Speaker 3: the camera. Well, Nick Fuentz has tweets out America first
- 22:28Speaker 3: and then triumphantly goes on the air the next day
- 22:30Speaker 3: to explain that he has essentially used Tucker Carlson as
- 22:34Speaker 3: a vehicle for manipulating other people. Okay, so what Nick
- 22:38Speaker 3: Fuentes is saying, not me, Nick Fuentes, Okay, and Nick
- 22:41Speaker 3: flent And by the way, I will again say that,
- 22:43Speaker 3: Tucker Carlson, when you say to somebody in an interview,
- 22:47Speaker 3: do you condemn anti Semitism? And then the person says sure,
- 22:50Speaker 3: which is what Nick fin has said, he said, I'm
- 22:52Speaker 3: not an anti simon, which is blatantly untrue. A responsible,
- 22:55Speaker 3: a responsible journalist would then follow up demonstrating that that
- 22:58Speaker 3: is false. Tucker did not do that. He allowed him
- 23:00Speaker 3: to get away with that, and then he allowed him
- 23:02Speaker 3: to talk about quote unquote organized a jeury followed by
- 23:06Speaker 3: Nick Flentes being treated to a disquisition by Tucker Carlson
- 23:09Speaker 3: about why Christian Zionists, of all human beings on earth,
- 23:12Speaker 3: are the people that he hates the most.
- 23:13Speaker 2: He took that back. You can't take that back. How
- 23:16Speaker 2: do you take that back? He did have. He went,
- 23:19Speaker 2: he should explain why it was wrong.
- 23:21Speaker 3: You should explain how Christian Zionists are actually wonderful people.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Talker is very quick to self flagelate. And he went
- 23:27Speaker 4: on with Dave Smith the next day, the next week whatever, Monday, tuesdays.
- 23:31Speaker 2: They stopped the tape a second. Now they're getting into
- 23:34Speaker 2: For people who didn't hear any of this, I don't
- 23:36Speaker 2: want you to lose the context. Tucker Carlson, during this
- 23:40Speaker 2: whole back and forth, in his criticism of Israel and
- 23:45Speaker 2: so on, made this comment that Christian Zionists, in other words,
- 23:48Speaker 2: Christians who believe that Israel has a right to exist
- 23:52Speaker 2: are the worst people in the world, which that includes
- 23:56Speaker 2: probably most conservatives. Most conservatives thinks Israel right to consist,
- 24:01Speaker 2: and many Conservatives are Christian. And the point that Megan
- 24:04Speaker 2: Kelly is making is Tucker took that back and knew
- 24:07Speaker 2: that it was an asinine thing to say. He said
- 24:10Speaker 2: it and then took it back. And Shapiro is just
- 24:14Speaker 2: challenging all of this. Throw the thing out there, and
- 24:16Speaker 2: then try to pull it back after the whole thing landed.
- 24:21Speaker 2: By the way, for those of you that are wondering
- 24:23Speaker 2: about just about every podcast through out there uses vulgarity
- 24:27Speaker 2: other than me, I made the decision we're not censoring
- 24:29Speaker 2: any of this out because I don't want to launder
- 24:33Speaker 2: or sanitize anything that either Shapiro or Kelly or anybody
- 24:36Speaker 2: else in this thing is saying. So we're going to
- 24:38Speaker 2: play this exactly as they played it, and exactly is
- 24:42Speaker 2: their thing was put out there. But this is the
- 24:45Speaker 2: back and forth here, and you can see that Shapiro
- 24:47Speaker 2: was making the point that Tucker Carlson has now gone
- 24:51Speaker 2: so far in this anti Israel thing to excoriate every
- 24:55Speaker 2: American conservative at an every Christian who disagrees with him
- 24:59Speaker 2: on the one issue. And Shapiro is saying this is intolerable.
- 25:03Speaker 2: And Megan Kelly, who clearly does not agree with Carlson
- 25:07Speaker 2: on this but likes Tucker and is his friend, is
- 25:10Speaker 2: trying to suggest that this is not something that should
- 25:15Speaker 2: disqualify Tucker from being part of the conservative movement. And
- 25:19Speaker 2: so on. No, it goes on and said that was stupid.
- 25:22Speaker 2: I didn't mean that.
- 25:22Speaker 4: He said, I'm angry at people like Lindsay Graham. I'm
- 25:25Speaker 4: angry at people like Ted Cruz because he thinks they
- 25:28Speaker 4: run headfirst in these conflicts and they don't think about
- 25:30Speaker 4: what's going to happen to America.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Call up if we're talking about firing inside the tent?
- 25:34Speaker 3: What everything Lindsay Graham okay? And I'm not a huge
- 25:36Speaker 3: Lindsay Graham fan. He votes with the President of the
- 25:37Speaker 3: United States one hundred percent of the time, and Tucker
- 25:39Speaker 3: spent yesterday's show excoriating him as a psychosexual death worshiper.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Does that sound like firing outside the tent?
- 25:47Speaker 2: Again? Not offended?
- 25:49Speaker 3: Again the questions that I'm asking here, I'm not asking
- 25:52Speaker 3: you to do anything, Megan. I know our beef is
- 25:55Speaker 3: not with each I'm not okay when I draw a
- 25:57Speaker 3: line with regards to what I believe Tucker Carlson is
- 25:59Speaker 3: doing to the conservative movement and what he is fomenting.
- 26:02Speaker 2: That is because that is.
- 26:03Speaker 3: And everyone can make their own decision as to whether
- 26:05Speaker 3: they think that I am right or whether I'm wrong,
- 26:07Speaker 3: and where they choose to draw the line with regard
- 26:09Speaker 3: to the conservative movement. The question for me is always
- 26:12Speaker 3: whether somebody's statements are forwarding moral values that I think
- 26:16Speaker 3: are worthwhile. I did not get into this business for
- 26:18Speaker 3: the money or for the clicks.
- 26:19Speaker 2: You didn't neither.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Why did he was that?
- 26:22Speaker 2: Neither did he?
- 26:23Speaker 3: I mean he may not have That's fine. I certainly
- 26:25Speaker 3: did not. I'm only going to speak for myself, and
- 26:27Speaker 3: what that means for me is that if I see
- 26:29Speaker 3: somebody breach basic moral values by having on a Nazi
- 26:34Speaker 3: and in my own view, you can take your own view.
- 26:37Speaker 3: In my own view, Gloss the Nazi, then I'm going
- 26:40Speaker 3: to speak out about that, and I'm going to point
- 26:42Speaker 3: out that there is a long pattern of him ideologically
- 26:44Speaker 3: laundering terrible ideas over the course of the last two years,
- 26:47Speaker 3: ranging from traveling to Russia to sniff the bread and
- 26:50Speaker 3: explain why the Russian regime is actually wonderful, two saying
- 26:55Speaker 3: last week that the Venezuelan regime of Nicholas Maduro is
- 27:00Speaker 3: actually not that bad because they're being attacked by, in
- 27:02Speaker 3: his words, globo homo. Tucker's made the point.
- 27:06Speaker 4: I'm not going to hear it be Tucker's defender, but
- 27:07Speaker 4: he's made the point that Maduro is culturally conservative.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Who gives us shit? The guy's a communist dictator. Everyone
- 27:14Speaker 3: in his country's eating dog. He's shipping Fentanel to the
- 27:18Speaker 3: United States to kill Americans. Why don't give us shit
- 27:20Speaker 3: Whether he's whether he's anti LGBTQ, right, this is the
- 27:25Speaker 3: number one thing about Nicolas Manduro. You know, farm down
- 27:27Speaker 3: the list you have to get before you can get
- 27:28Speaker 3: to anything remotely recommendable about Nicholas Maduro.
- 27:33Speaker 2: All right, they got into at the end. Maduro, for
- 27:36Speaker 2: those of you not aware, is the dictator of Venezuela,
- 27:40Speaker 2: and Tucker Carlson has been somewhat sympathetic forward him. Now
- 27:46Speaker 2: a couple of points of this. I've had a theory
- 27:49Speaker 2: that I've expressed for thirty six years here start dating
- 27:54Speaker 2: back to the old radio show, that the political spectrum
- 27:58Speaker 2: is not aligned words when you go to the far
- 28:01Speaker 2: far far far far left like Mamdani and maybe even
- 28:06Speaker 2: a little bit beyond him far left, aoc Jasmin Procket
- 28:11Speaker 2: fire left, and then you go to the far far
- 28:14Speaker 2: far far far far right, so the Proud Boys or
- 28:18Speaker 2: not Nazis nick Fundes would be in there. That they're
- 28:21Speaker 2: not at the ends of a line that is a
- 28:23Speaker 2: circle that if you go far enough left or far
- 28:26Speaker 2: enough right, you bang into one another. I've contended that forever.
- 28:29Speaker 2: You've heard me contend that, and I think this is
- 28:32Speaker 2: proof of this. Now my own view, just in analyzing
- 28:37Speaker 2: Tucker is is that I think that Tucker is I'm
- 28:42Speaker 2: not supportive but somewhat sympathetic of this democratic socialist movement,
- 28:47Speaker 2: the Marxist movement. I didn't say supportive, somewhat apathetic because
- 28:51Speaker 2: they share the same kind of disgust for rich elites,
- 28:56Speaker 2: billionaires and so on. Tucker has said, for example, that
- 29:04Speaker 2: it's unfair to say that Mamdanni is anti Semitic. Well,
- 29:09Speaker 2: you know, Shapiro will go on a great length to
- 29:10Speaker 2: put on all the things that he said on that. Well,
- 29:14Speaker 2: why is Tucker spending any time saying all these good
- 29:16Speaker 2: things with regard to Mamdani. I think that you see
- 29:22Speaker 2: in the case of Tucker that he has moved far
- 29:24Speaker 2: enough away from some conservative beliefs in his general loathing
- 29:29Speaker 2: of elitist and I loathe elitis myself, that he's moving
- 29:33Speaker 2: over in which he sort of banging in to that
- 29:38Speaker 2: side of this. And I think you will find if
- 29:40Speaker 2: you looked at the voting in New York that a
- 29:42Speaker 2: lot of people who voted for Trump voted for Mandanni,
- 29:45Speaker 2: that they were both weirdly anti establishment type votes. The
- 29:50Speaker 2: problem is there's tremendous ideological difference between the two of them. Marxism, socialism, communism.
- 29:59Speaker 2: All we fail and always lead to terrible repression and oppression,
- 30:05Speaker 2: whereas capitalism and true democracy always lead to prosperity and
- 30:12Speaker 2: innovation and a higher quality of life and greater morality
- 30:15Speaker 2: and more freedom. The fact that there is a common
- 30:20Speaker 2: element of the two of opposing elitism doesn't change the
- 30:23Speaker 2: fact that ideologically there's a difference. Secondly, now I hinted
- 30:28Speaker 2: at this from the beginning that I was going to
- 30:30Speaker 2: explain why all of this is going on. There are
- 30:33Speaker 2: a number of conservative voices that are trying to kind
- 30:38Speaker 2: of be middlemen and realize who the real opponent is.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I think I'm in one of them, Megan Chillies and
- 30:43Speaker 2: one of them, Patrick Batt, David was mentioned, quite a
- 30:46Speaker 2: few others, just a lot of them. Ruben and I
- 30:51Speaker 2: would then throw in most of the people that are
- 30:53Speaker 2: say on Fox and even on Newsmax and so on.
- 30:56Speaker 2: But there are some of these others that have gotten
- 30:58Speaker 2: to be huge in the podcast world that are now
- 31:02Speaker 2: looking for areas to attack one another. I am convinced
- 31:11Speaker 2: I have this figured out. Before podcasting started, there was
- 31:19Speaker 2: one giant voice in the conservative movement, and that was Rush.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Rush was bigger than everybody, in part because prior to podcasts,
- 31:32Speaker 2: there was really some of the talk shows on cable
- 31:35Speaker 2: and conservative radio. There was nothing else. And even in
- 31:41Speaker 2: Megan's Kelly Fest, the thing that she had there was
- 31:43Speaker 2: a lengthy video about Rush and how almost everyone in
- 31:47Speaker 2: the conservative movement can praise their growth to at some
- 31:50Speaker 2: point or another, having been influenced by Rush. So Rush
- 31:54Speaker 2: was the undenied, most influential and powerful conservative voice of
- 31:58Speaker 2: someone not in the government, in other words, an outsider commenting.
- 32:02Speaker 2: But now in the podcastville, who's the biggest star? Wide open?
- 32:07Speaker 2: Is it it? I think that there's a lot of
- 32:12Speaker 2: rivalry here. Charlie Kirk was clearly ascending, and I think
- 32:19Speaker 2: that a couple of people who fell out of the
- 32:21Speaker 2: orbit of Charlie Kirk resented that was Candace. One of them.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Candace came up in the Daily Caller Empire, which Shapiro
- 32:33Speaker 2: was connected to. They had a falling out. There are
- 32:38Speaker 2: all of these people where I just think that there's this,
- 32:43Speaker 2: even if it's not conscious, this desire to separate from
- 32:47Speaker 2: one another instance to who's the big dog? And right
- 32:50Speaker 2: the right wing blog a sphere, podcast, sphere, whatever you
- 32:55Speaker 2: want to call it, and it's leading to these attacks
- 33:01Speaker 2: in which the larger purpose of the things that you
- 33:03Speaker 2: believe in become I think secondary now every one of
- 33:09Speaker 2: these issues that's back and forth. I think that in
- 33:11Speaker 2: some cases Shapiro is way too critical of everyone who
- 33:14Speaker 2: doesn't share his view on Israel, and I think Shapiro
- 33:18Speaker 2: is too quick to criticize other Conservatives. I also think
- 33:21Speaker 2: the Tucker's doing a lot of things that are fringe.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I think Candice is doing a fair number of things
- 33:26Speaker 2: that are fringe. But I think on the overall, both
- 33:28Speaker 2: of them are extremely important and extremely talented. Just as
- 33:33Speaker 2: with regard to me, I don't think it's anybody listening
- 33:35Speaker 2: to my podcast. He doesn't disagree with me on a
- 33:37Speaker 2: handful of things. It's the larger thing to understand, especially
- 33:41Speaker 2: after what we've been through for the last not four
- 33:44Speaker 2: but eight nine years, where the entire government was used
- 33:49Speaker 2: to bring down Trump spying Conservatives smash us down, and
- 33:53Speaker 2: they can't stand the fact that Trump won and got
- 33:56Speaker 2: it back. They want to once and for all take
- 33:58Speaker 2: this away and stomp us out for wrever and turn
- 34:01Speaker 2: us into a Marxist nation too. In the realm of this,
- 34:04Speaker 2: have our most important figures fighting over what should be
- 34:09Speaker 2: fourth or fifth or sixth tier issues. The whole issue
- 34:12Speaker 2: of Israel, I think is resolving itself. I think Trump
- 34:16Speaker 2: is bringing peace to the Middle East. I think that
- 34:19Speaker 2: Israel is going to be defanged now that Hamas is defanged.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I think that Trump allowing Israel to take out the
- 34:26Speaker 2: Iran nukes has eliminated their ran problem for a while.
- 34:29Speaker 2: And Trump's not going to try to cut deals in
- 34:31Speaker 2: which every one of these nations gets along with us
- 34:33Speaker 2: and therefore with one another, to end up just eviscerating
- 34:37Speaker 2: and attacking and tearing everybody's eyeballs out over this is
- 34:40Speaker 2: certainly not a productive thing to do. But I understand,
- 34:45Speaker 2: as I say, why it's going on. There's just an
- 34:47Speaker 2: I know what it is. You know, there were a year,
- 34:50Speaker 2: for example, before Charlie Sykes wandered completely into Looneyville. I
- 34:53Speaker 2: mean before that, back when Charlie was a mainstream conservative
- 34:57Speaker 2: just as I was. We have both had huge shows
- 34:59Speaker 2: here right Well, it's a rivalry. He worked for a
- 35:01Speaker 2: different company. I don't. Ever, when I was at WISN
- 35:04Speaker 2: and I'm still affiliated with iHeart obviously, and I knew
- 35:07Speaker 2: my show from the WIS and stews, I never had
- 35:09Speaker 2: a rival where Jay or Dan or anybody, because we
- 35:12Speaker 2: worked for the same company. We're all on the same thing.
- 35:14Speaker 2: A lot of people listen to Jabel, then they're around
- 35:15Speaker 2: to listen to my show Vice Versa, and said Charlie
- 35:18Speaker 2: was onto the station. So from time to time we
- 35:19Speaker 2: would disagree, and I would say things that I disagree with,
- 35:22Speaker 2: But I don't think I never despised him, wanted to
- 35:25Speaker 2: take him down and destroy his career, because until he
- 35:28Speaker 2: went nuts on the whole issue of Trump, it wasn't
- 35:33Speaker 2: my position he was wrong or terrible or responsible or
- 35:36Speaker 2: any of those things. I still don't even think that.
- 35:38Speaker 2: I just think he's lost his marbles. I don't think
- 35:40Speaker 2: Charlie sticks a bad guy. I know. I just just
- 35:44Speaker 2: say I just think he's lost his marbles. But I'm not.
- 35:47Speaker 2: But way before that, I was never in this who's
- 35:50Speaker 2: the number one? Who's the top dog? Because I thought
- 35:52Speaker 2: it was fairly clear I was the number one, which
- 35:55Speaker 2: I was. I think you could talk about that by
- 35:57Speaker 2: any number of things, whether I was or I wasn't.
- 35:59Speaker 2: But I just think that there's a lot of this,
- 36:01Speaker 2: especially given that some of these people are young, and
- 36:04Speaker 2: there's legacy building and all of that stuff. You see
- 36:07Speaker 2: that some of the more peacemaker oriented in this wing,
- 36:09Speaker 2: like Megan's older than the others of them, and then
- 36:12Speaker 2: there's a guy like me, and oh fine, I just,
- 36:14Speaker 2: for heaven's sakes, take a look at what's going on
- 36:16Speaker 2: right now when understand that none of this is helping
- 36:18Speaker 2: anything other than you're letting your own egos and get
- 36:21Speaker 2: in Alan. I think it's self destructive for all of them. Right,
- 36:26Speaker 2: Paul agrees with me. Well, that's all I need. If
- 36:29Speaker 2: I only get you to agree with me, then my
- 36:32Speaker 2: life is made. Paul supports me on this, What were
- 36:35Speaker 2: you gonna say? Yes, the Democrats are employed to I mean,
- 36:40Speaker 2: everybody seems to be imploding with Then let's move to
- 36:43Speaker 2: a couple of other stories here in this segment. Then
- 36:45Speaker 2: I'm gonna move on to another big story that I
- 36:47Speaker 2: have to date quickly. A number of Democrats joined Republicans
- 36:53Speaker 2: overnight to vote to end the filibuster. This does not
- 36:55Speaker 2: end the government shutdown the filibuster. You couldn't vote. A
- 37:00Speaker 2: filibuster is in the Senate. It requires sixty votes to
- 37:03Speaker 2: end debate. They voted to end debate, so now they
- 37:07Speaker 2: still have to pass the bills, and they're sending a
- 37:09Speaker 2: bill back to the House. This could still fall apart,
- 37:11Speaker 2: but I don't think that it will. But we'll take
- 37:13Speaker 2: several days now to pass the legislation. But the prolonging
- 37:17Speaker 2: of the debate, that part ended when a number of
- 37:19Speaker 2: Democrats just either gave up or said screw it. We're
- 37:24Speaker 2: not accomplishing anything here. Trump is not going to cave
- 37:27Speaker 2: in on all of these demands that we are going
- 37:31Speaker 2: to have. We're going to pass a funding billt and
- 37:34Speaker 2: for doing this the Democrat. Yet there's just the eight
- 37:37Speaker 2: Democrat I think it was eight, whatever the number was,
- 37:39Speaker 2: the voter joined with the Republicans to end the debate.
- 37:41Speaker 2: They're just being attacked by the left with the level
- 37:43Speaker 2: of rage and hatred that's off the charts. The most
- 37:45Speaker 2: interesting one to me is that durban was one of
- 37:48Speaker 2: them that voted to do it. I as you know,
- 37:50Speaker 2: I know Dick Durbin. We sat next to each other
- 37:52Speaker 2: at ET. How many times have I putted that out, Paul?
- 37:55Speaker 2: You're going to finally, you finally are going to remember
- 37:57Speaker 2: that now, aren't you. I mentioned it constantly. You always
- 38:02Speaker 2: forget it, but I mentioned it constantly. I know why
- 38:05Speaker 2: Dick Derbin voted to do it. You know why Dick
- 38:06Speaker 2: Derban voted to do it. He's not running for reelection.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I think that they are all bulls like him that
- 38:15Speaker 2: are sick at what's happened to the Democratic Party, but
- 38:18Speaker 2: that he, in order for survival, let it go along
- 38:21Speaker 2: with all of it. And now he's finally breaking ranks
- 38:24Speaker 2: here figuring, well, I'm not my career is over. Dick
- 38:29Speaker 2: is about one hundred and ninety two years old. I
- 38:31Speaker 2: got no future readyway, et cetera. Anyway, the level of
- 38:35Speaker 2: hatred and animosity directed at them is stunning. And here's
- 38:41Speaker 2: the thing about this. At some point it had to end.
- 38:44Speaker 2: We can't have the government not funded forever, which is
- 38:48Speaker 2: why it was so stupid for the Democrats to start
- 38:50Speaker 2: this whole thing in the first place. Secondly, Trump, if
- 38:55Speaker 2: the Democrats regained control of one or both houses of Congress,
- 38:57Speaker 2: he's gonna have to cut deals with them all the time.
- 38:59Speaker 2: He doesn't have to do what now. He's not going
- 39:00Speaker 2: to cave into them now and give away the farm
- 39:05Speaker 2: just because they won't end the debate. Another quick story,
- 39:14Speaker 2: just another example of people who have killed themselves by
- 39:17Speaker 2: their Trump derangement syndrome. This one's quite interesting. The BBC.
- 39:22Speaker 2: You know what the BBC is, don't you? That is correct,
- 39:26Speaker 2: the British Broadcasting Corporation. That is telling Before the twenty
- 39:31Speaker 2: twenty four election, in other words, about a month before
- 39:33Speaker 2: Trump ran against Kamala, the BBC did a report on
- 39:38Speaker 2: what it was that Trump actually said on January sixth
- 39:41Speaker 2: of twenty one. You know, the Democrats tried to take
- 39:47Speaker 2: down Trump and twenty four through this supposed anarchy that
- 39:50Speaker 2: he was bringing in January sixth, which of course I
- 39:52Speaker 2: contend is a load of crap. Trump contends a load
- 39:54Speaker 2: of crap. So the BBC now understand the BBC's audience
- 39:58Speaker 2: is not mean. Not many Americans follow the Some do,
- 40:02Speaker 2: but it's not like they swing the American election. It's
- 40:04Speaker 2: primarily for a British and international audience. The BBC edited
- 40:09Speaker 2: Trump's comments on January sixth to make it They took
- 40:13Speaker 2: out sentences to make it appeer in which as though
- 40:16Speaker 2: he was urging people to store in the Capitol, when
- 40:18Speaker 2: in fact, of course he said don't do anything violent.
- 40:20Speaker 2: They edited out to make it look like Trump's The
- 40:24Speaker 2: top two executives of the BBC were forced to resign
- 40:27Speaker 2: for the British government. The BBC is part of the government.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Resign over the weekend. The top two people in the
- 40:33Speaker 2: BBC lost their jobs because an investigation was conducted and
- 40:38Speaker 2: it was determined that they deliberately did this editing. So
- 40:42Speaker 2: they ruined their careers over and a something in which
- 40:44Speaker 2: they don't They weren't going to change any American minds anyway.
- 40:47Speaker 2: It was the BBC. How much do you have to
- 40:49Speaker 2: hate Trump to destroy your own career, destroy all these
- 40:52Speaker 2: ethics for something that, even if it had worked, would
- 40:54Speaker 2: not have done any good. Because it's the BBC. It's
- 41:02Speaker 2: time to take a break on the markpelling podcast. This
- 41:07Speaker 2: is the Mark Belling Podcast. We're going to get into
- 41:11Speaker 2: in a moment here another big story that requires kind
- 41:17Speaker 2: of a deep dive in the fashion that we did
- 41:19Speaker 2: in segment number one. But before I do that, you know,
- 41:22Speaker 2: I get these things all the time for people, you're
- 41:24Speaker 2: the greatest podcast, you're the greatest talk show host, You've
- 41:26Speaker 2: changed my life, etc. They come in quite a bit,
- 41:30Speaker 2: and I understand why it is, particularly here in Milwaukee.
- 41:34Speaker 2: When I started out, there was not any conservative voice anywhere,
- 41:43Speaker 2: and my audience became very, very large, and it had
- 41:45Speaker 2: a large impact on a lot of people. I've shared
- 41:48Speaker 2: adults who said that, you know, I was once a
- 41:50Speaker 2: liberal change, et cetera. This is an interesting one, and
- 41:53Speaker 2: I'm bringing it up because in a way it relates
- 41:55Speaker 2: a bit at least to the story that we're going
- 41:57Speaker 2: to get into. I'm going to not include anyone's name here. Mark.
- 42:03Speaker 2: This thank you is perhaps a long time coming. During
- 42:05Speaker 2: my children's young years, we listened to all the various
- 42:08Speaker 2: programs on WIS and eleven thirty regularly, especially when driving.
- 42:13Speaker 2: My youngest, a bit of a rascal, latched onto your influence,
- 42:17Speaker 2: along with positive influence from his grandfather, my father. When
- 42:22Speaker 2: we moved him from one grade school to eighth grade
- 42:25Speaker 2: into another due to dysfunction in the junior high, my
- 42:28Speaker 2: father was often the one to drive him and have
- 42:31Speaker 2: some solid life value chats with him. In addition to this,
- 42:35Speaker 2: later in high school, I discovered this young kid falling
- 42:39Speaker 2: asleep with earbuds in, and when glancing at his phone,
- 42:43Speaker 2: I had to chuckle that he was listening to your
- 42:46Speaker 2: podcast for hours into the night, not even sure I
- 42:50Speaker 2: knew you had podcasts at the time. In other words,
- 42:53Speaker 2: she's referring to we took our old radio show and
- 42:56Speaker 2: turned it into a podcast. It wasn't really a podcast,
- 42:59Speaker 2: which just a way of listening to the radio show
- 43:01Speaker 2: without having to listen live between three and six. And
- 43:03Speaker 2: she's pointing out that this young man in high school
- 43:07Speaker 2: was listening to my old radio shows via podcast in
- 43:10Speaker 2: the middle of the night, and that's why he was
- 43:12Speaker 2: getting so tired. Continuing, although yes, we were a united
- 43:17Speaker 2: conservative family having active conversations with our three children, I
- 43:21Speaker 2: am thrilled that all three are still conservative to this day.
- 43:25Speaker 2: All I know in the mid to upper twenties and
- 43:27Speaker 2: early thirties, my daughter went to a conservative Christian liberal
- 43:31Speaker 2: arts college, my middle son went to a tech school,
- 43:33Speaker 2: and the youngest son went to a liberal state school.
- 43:35Speaker 2: And I believe because of your additional influence in his
- 43:39Speaker 2: developmental period, he actively sought out the Young Republicans group
- 43:42Speaker 2: at his university and stayed connected. Just thought you would
- 43:45Speaker 2: enjoy knowing. I believe your additional impact on particularly my
- 43:49Speaker 2: younger kid, who could have been painted by the university,
- 43:53Speaker 2: is on solid ground. Other conservative friends whose children went
- 43:56Speaker 2: to universities have not been so fortunate. Then mentions a
- 44:00Speaker 2: couple of things about what they're doing with their careers
- 44:02Speaker 2: and signs it. Now, let's dive into a story here.
- 44:09Speaker 2: This story. I should mention that the Thursday podcast last
- 44:14Speaker 2: week we recorded on Wednesday. I had to I don't
- 44:18Speaker 2: had is a strong word. I had a strong need,
- 44:21Speaker 2: not quite close they had. I had to go to
- 44:24Speaker 2: Florida for a few days and I got back. The
- 44:29Speaker 2: whole plain thing required numerous audibles, but we did the podcast.
- 44:35Speaker 2: So I was gone for three or four days, and
- 44:37Speaker 2: several stories broke during the period that I was gone,
- 44:40Speaker 2: and one of them that's become a huge thanks to YouTube,
- 44:45Speaker 2: A huge story nationally is this story of the substitute
- 44:48Speaker 2: teacher at an elementary school in Muskigo who showed up
- 44:51Speaker 2: to school unbelievably drunk. I'm guessing most of you know
- 44:55Speaker 2: about the I was not here, Paul. Were you aware
- 44:58Speaker 2: the story before I gave you all this material? Yeah,
- 45:01Speaker 2: so I know that some of you, especially nationally, may
- 45:03Speaker 2: not be fully aware of it. So I'll give you
- 45:05Speaker 2: the quick background of this and then dive into the story.
- 45:08Speaker 2: The story, as reported is that a substitute teacher showed
- 45:14Speaker 2: up at an elementary school in Muskego, and the staff
- 45:18Speaker 2: could tell that he was intoxicated, so they called the police.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Upon investigation, initially claimed that he was driven to the school,
- 45:27Speaker 2: but upon investigation they drunk tested him and so on,
- 45:31Speaker 2: and it turned out that his BAC blood alcohol content
- 45:35Speaker 2: was zero point three six. For those of you who
- 45:41Speaker 2: don't know anyone drinking of those numbers, that's unbelievably high.
- 45:46Speaker 2: I know the general rule that he you know, the
- 45:50Speaker 2: bigger you are, the more it affects the numbers. Like
- 45:54Speaker 2: a frail, thin young woman is going to have a
- 45:57Speaker 2: greater impact than the alcohol than some big, fat guy.
- 46:01Speaker 2: The rule is sort of like one drink takes your
- 46:04Speaker 2: point oh two to another one point oh four and
- 46:06Speaker 2: so on, and you lose point oh two an hour.
- 46:08Speaker 2: That can vary widely depending on the strength of the
- 46:11Speaker 2: alcohol and your body weight and so on. In addition,
- 46:15Speaker 2: there's other things that effect affect your impairment. Are you
- 46:18Speaker 2: using with any medications and so on, But that's a
- 46:20Speaker 2: general I know that I personally can never get to
- 46:22Speaker 2: a point three six. I would not I'd get sick,
- 46:25Speaker 2: fall asleep, pass out long before that. Thankfully, point three six.
- 46:30Speaker 2: It's that's four and a half times the legal limit
- 46:33Speaker 2: for driving and he shows up to teach school. It
- 46:41Speaker 2: was his fourth offense. Ow I now everybody's reacting to
- 46:48Speaker 2: the first part of the story, but my analysis here
- 46:50Speaker 2: has to do with a different component. But to give
- 46:55Speaker 2: you a feel for the level of intoxication of the guy.
- 46:59Speaker 2: And his name is Christopher rees Rias. He's had various addresses.
- 47:04Speaker 2: He's moved around it. As I've checked his court file,
- 47:07Speaker 2: he's had different addresses, not surprising for guys going through
- 47:10Speaker 2: a lot of trouble. He's got an address in Jefferson
- 47:17Speaker 2: County right now. He was assigned as a sub at Muskigo.
- 47:26Speaker 2: The police body cam has been picked up by one
- 47:29Speaker 2: of the sites that's on YouTube that does crime reporting
- 47:33Speaker 2: and police videos and so on. Some of these sites
- 47:37Speaker 2: are huge. This one's Law and Order Network. The number
- 47:40Speaker 2: of hits it's had on YouTube is in the hundreds
- 47:42Speaker 2: and hundreds of thousands. I don't even know what it
- 47:44Speaker 2: is right now. The last I checked, it was over
- 47:46Speaker 2: four hundred thousand. And they did the bodycam of the
- 47:49Speaker 2: whole thing, and it's like fifty five minutes long. I'll
- 47:54Speaker 2: tell you, Paul, remind me at the end of the
- 47:56Speaker 2: segment to tell people how they can find it. We're
- 48:01Speaker 2: going to play a portion of this toward the end
- 48:04Speaker 2: now as the setup to this. Initially, the police recalled
- 48:08Speaker 2: to the school by the staff, good for them, and
- 48:11Speaker 2: they were questioning him, and you see the body cam
- 48:13Speaker 2: of the whole thing, and his initial story was is
- 48:15Speaker 2: that he was dropped off of the school, and he
- 48:17Speaker 2: goes on and on and on about the wars that
- 48:18Speaker 2: he has in his life, and he's being extremely open
- 48:20Speaker 2: about everything, and he's slurring a speech like a nut.
- 48:22Speaker 2: I mean, you could just see how intoxicated he was,
- 48:25Speaker 2: and he's going through all of these things, etc. It
- 48:28Speaker 2: was not until later on in the explanation that they
- 48:32Speaker 2: realized that his story about being dropped off was not true,
- 48:36Speaker 2: meaning now they have an investigation for drunk driving, because
- 48:40Speaker 2: if he was driving it in this condition, say just
- 48:43Speaker 2: showing up drunk, he's not in and of itself a crime,
- 48:47Speaker 2: even though you shouldn't be drunk on a teacher, but
- 48:49Speaker 2: if he was driving at this it was a new thing.
- 48:52Speaker 2: So for this reason they now are taking him to
- 48:55Speaker 2: do a blood draw. The law in the state of
- 48:58Speaker 2: Wisconsin is is that you can refuse to blow into
- 49:01Speaker 2: the breathalyzer. However, you can get a quote order on
- 49:05Speaker 2: him to do a blood draw. Also, you can voluntarily
- 49:09Speaker 2: do the breathalyzer. He did eventually do the breathalyzer, and
- 49:12Speaker 2: that's where it came back at the zero point threety six.
- 49:14Speaker 2: And you're going to pick this up. Now. He's back
- 49:17Speaker 2: at the facility with the police officer and they're explaining
- 49:20Speaker 2: they're going to the rigamar role of reading that if
- 49:22Speaker 2: you refuse to take the breath test, et cetera. And
- 49:27Speaker 2: it's going to be hard to pick up on what
- 49:28Speaker 2: he's saying, but you can just see that the guy
- 49:33Speaker 2: is in total dysfunction from his dependence on alcohol, in
- 49:35Speaker 2: which he's focused mostly on why, you know, what do
- 49:39Speaker 2: you have to mean to be so? Well? Listen to
- 49:42Speaker 2: just this brief portrait of it, which gives you a
- 49:44Speaker 2: sense of how bad off he was.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Yes or no?
- 49:50Speaker 2: Yes? Why?
- 49:51Speaker 3: Why why are we yes or no?
- 49:52Speaker 2: Why are we becoming so mean?
- 49:54Speaker 3: I'm not trying to be mean, man, I'm trying to
- 49:56Speaker 3: speak this posss I would get you from pointing to
- 49:58Speaker 3: point me as quickly as possible.
- 50:00Speaker 2: I'm just so all I knew was so distressing and
- 50:02Speaker 2: yelled at me, well, because I was.
- 50:03Speaker 3: He wanted you to pay attention to what I was saying.
- 50:05Speaker 2: I'm not if you're giving me the fourth one, I
- 50:09Speaker 2: already have heard the third, four second, first one.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Will you submit to an evidence try chemical test of
- 50:14Speaker 3: your blood?
- 50:14Speaker 2: However, I'm not paying for it. I'm not paying for it.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Do I have to pay for it? Sixteen didn't burn
- 50:22Speaker 2: not off pus? Okay, I mean now he's worried about
- 50:26Speaker 2: do we have to pay for the test? I just
- 50:32Speaker 2: so A number of things have come out. What I
- 50:37Speaker 2: clearly we see what the problem for this he's thirty
- 50:41Speaker 2: years old. What the problem for this guy is. He's
- 50:43Speaker 2: got a serious problem. To me, the more important dysfunction.
- 50:51Speaker 2: It's not his dysfunction, but the dysfunction of how someone
- 50:55Speaker 2: in this situation in life, with all of these drunk
- 50:58Speaker 2: drivings and so on, is a driving and b being
- 51:01Speaker 2: hired as a sub in school. So let's move into
- 51:06Speaker 2: the story. First of all, he's at Muskego. I admit
- 51:12Speaker 2: I didn't know this. I did not know that school
- 51:14Speaker 2: districts didn't hire their subs. Did you know that? I
- 51:18Speaker 2: didn't know it? Moskeigo says, we don't hire our subs.
- 51:21Speaker 2: We use Kelly Services. Kelly Services has a division called
- 51:26Speaker 2: Kelly Education that places substitute teachers in school districts. And
- 51:31Speaker 2: Musketigo is angry with Kelly Services, the big temp agency,
- 51:37Speaker 2: for not having flagged this teacher who had two earlier
- 51:40Speaker 2: drunk drivings this year alone, and Kelly the company was
- 51:46Speaker 2: contacted and they had a PR person who said, gobbling book,
- 51:49Speaker 2: you know, our highest commitment is a safety and call
- 51:52Speaker 2: of education, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, But no
- 51:54Speaker 2: explanation as to how they didn't. They don't do the
- 51:56Speaker 2: most basic thing. In Wisconsin, all arrests and almost all
- 51:59Speaker 2: arrests and almost all court cases are Online's the easiest
- 52:02Speaker 2: thing in the world to check. How they never check
- 52:04Speaker 2: this guy and what kind of monitoring are they doing
- 52:07Speaker 2: of the people that they're placing a substitutes. So the
- 52:09Speaker 2: first breakdown is these schools, apparently with all the money
- 52:13Speaker 2: that we're spending on education, they don't have somebody on
- 52:15Speaker 2: the staff that's in charge of hiring a substitute that
- 52:17Speaker 2: they've got to outsource that they outsourced this to a
- 52:20Speaker 2: company that's apparently doing a terrible job or actually no
- 52:23Speaker 2: job of screening candidates whatsoever. So that's of this person
- 52:26Speaker 2: who has this record. It never should have been a
- 52:28Speaker 2: sub given the fact that their life was going off
- 52:30Speaker 2: the rails in the first place, got in there. I wonder,
- 52:33Speaker 2: I have my doubts. I wonder will Muskigo dump Kelly
- 52:36Speaker 2: Services given the fact that they sent a guy who
- 52:41Speaker 2: was having extreme problems all year prior to this incident
- 52:45Speaker 2: to come and teach into the school. Secondly, what I'm
- 52:53Speaker 2: going to do here is walk through the year twenty
- 52:56Speaker 2: twenty five in this guy's legal life. Prior to twenty five,
- 53:02Speaker 2: he already had one OWI conviction. I don't know when
- 53:06Speaker 2: it was. I didn't find it online, but the first
- 53:08Speaker 2: one I found was he was charged second offense. Often
- 53:10Speaker 2: that's because the first defense was out of state, or
- 53:13Speaker 2: it might have been municipal, meaning it didn't make a
- 53:15Speaker 2: court filing. But I don't know when it was, but
- 53:18Speaker 2: he had one prior to this year. Fast forward now
- 53:22Speaker 2: to February of this year. He was arrested and charged
- 53:27Speaker 2: in Kenosha County with a multiple of offenses, including refusing
- 53:30Speaker 2: to take the breath test, not having insurance, improper lane etc.
- 53:39Speaker 2: And then ultimately with OWI second offense. Now again follow
- 53:44Speaker 2: my dates on this February so he was charged with
- 53:47Speaker 2: numerous traffic offenses plus drunk driving second offense. In February,
- 53:52Speaker 2: the court Commissioner, William Michael released him on a signature bond.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Signature bond means you don't have to put up any cash.
- 53:59Speaker 2: You see your name. The lawyer who represented him in
- 54:03Speaker 2: this Kenosha County case in February was rather interesting to me,
- 54:14Speaker 2: Mark Powers. Mark Powers is a local criminal defense attorney
- 54:19Speaker 2: who also serves as a municipal judge in several communities
- 54:22Speaker 2: in Waukeshaw County. I reported a couple of years ago
- 54:25Speaker 2: on Mark Powers. Mark Powers himself got a drunk driving
- 54:29Speaker 2: and according to he was arrested by a d n
- 54:32Speaker 2: R warden. They have arrest Powers. A d NR warden
- 54:36Speaker 2: pulled him over for drunk driving and according to the
- 54:38Speaker 2: police report, he dropped the name of Waukeshaw County District
- 54:41Speaker 2: Attorney Sue Opper City. He was just with her grousing
- 54:44Speaker 2: complained to the warden et cetera. Initially, despite the fact
- 54:49Speaker 2: that his own lawyer claimed he was going to take
- 54:50Speaker 2: accountability for this initially pleaded not guilty. He eventually did
- 54:55Speaker 2: plead guilty. He remains a municipal judge in a number
- 54:58Speaker 2: of Waukashaw County communities. In the meantime, he does drunk
- 55:03Speaker 2: driving defense work. Why do I bring this up because
- 55:08Speaker 2: this case from Kenosha in February. You know, second offense
- 55:11Speaker 2: drunk drive. A lot of drunk driving cases, they're very
- 55:14Speaker 2: hard to win if you're the defense attorney. They're resolved
- 55:18Speaker 2: rather quickly. The key here is this one's still open.
- 55:21Speaker 2: He's still free on the signature bond. Now follow my
- 55:24Speaker 2: dates here. When did I say this was February. I'm
- 55:26Speaker 2: asking these questions because I know the absent minded, like
- 55:29Speaker 2: say you have forgotten this? Dates are critical. The second
- 55:33Speaker 2: offense Kenosha County, February is still open and unresolved. Fast
- 55:42Speaker 2: forward to July. He cited for speeding on the freeway,
- 55:48Speaker 2: not the most important charge, but I mentioned that it happened.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Then fast forward again October twenty first Milwaukee County. This
- 56:06Speaker 2: happened in the city of cuta Haey. He's arrested for
- 56:10Speaker 2: OWI drunk driving and cuta Hey. This is now third
- 56:13Speaker 2: offense and second of the year. The date now is
- 56:17Speaker 2: October twenty first, follow my dates please. He appears in
- 56:22Speaker 2: Milwaukee County Circuit Court in front of a court commissioner,
- 56:25Speaker 2: Barry Phillips. He sets cash bond at fifteen hundred dollars.
- 56:32Speaker 2: One of the things that they do when they set
- 56:34Speaker 2: bond for someone is they use the term as conditions
- 56:37Speaker 2: of bond. Can't do this, can't do that, can't do
- 56:39Speaker 2: the other thing. So Barry Philip put fifteen hundred dollars
- 56:43Speaker 2: for him to spring himself on.
- 56:44Speaker 3: Now.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Third defense, drunk driving. And one of the conditions is
- 56:47Speaker 2: it's in all of these for drunk driving absolute sobriety.
- 56:50Speaker 2: And then other things though use controlled sounds and blah
- 56:52Speaker 2: blah blah and all of this other stuff. Don't drive
- 56:55Speaker 2: all these things absolute sobriety. Now, when did I say this?
- 56:59Speaker 2: Was like a pain in the aspect demanding these dates.
- 57:01Speaker 2: But you have to follow this. October twenty first, You
- 57:05Speaker 2: did not remember that, did you? Before you said it?
- 57:08Speaker 2: I now I just said it to you. October twenty first,
- 57:11Speaker 2: So again, February twelfth was the first. Now October then
- 57:13Speaker 2: the speeding in the summer. Now third offense. October twenty first,
- 57:18Speaker 2: released from jail fifteen hundred dollars condition absolute sobriety. The
- 57:25Speaker 2: incident in Muskego was October thirtieth, nine days later. Remember,
- 57:34Speaker 2: he not only got third offense on the twenty first,
- 57:37Speaker 2: a condition to the bail that got him sprung was
- 57:41Speaker 2: absolute sobriety. He not only doesn't maintain absolute sobriety, he
- 57:45Speaker 2: gets about a drunk as a human being can get
- 57:47Speaker 2: point thirty six and drives to teach at a school
- 57:50Speaker 2: in Muskego, by the way in the video that they
- 57:54Speaker 2: picked up on, and that's how they realized that he
- 57:56Speaker 2: didn't get dropped off. They looked at the surveillance video
- 57:58Speaker 2: from the schools. I've seen staggering out of his own
- 58:01Speaker 2: car and stumbling twice. So clearly the fact that he
- 58:07Speaker 2: showed up at a school drawing. None of the kids
- 58:09Speaker 2: were hurt or anything, but think of the people that
- 58:10Speaker 2: could have been injured on the road as somebody this
- 58:12Speaker 2: blasted out of his mind was driving from. And again
- 58:15Speaker 2: he has an address a distance from Askeigo where he
- 58:17Speaker 2: stayed overnight. I don't know when the questioning that he
- 58:19Speaker 2: was doing, I no, I haven't had anything to drink.
- 58:21Speaker 2: I only drank last night. Then he said, well, I
- 58:23Speaker 2: didn't sleep all night. I took a melotone on him.
- 58:25Speaker 2: You should hear this. It's just on and on the
- 58:27Speaker 2: guy's just a sad shape. But again, my focus is
- 58:31Speaker 2: on everything else. So he's now got third offense. On
- 58:35Speaker 2: October twenty first, fifteen hundred dollars cash bond absolute sobriety
- 58:39Speaker 2: nine days later, blasted out of his mind, arrested again,
- 58:42Speaker 2: now charged with fourth offense. Fourth offense, fourth offense. Muskeigo
- 58:55Speaker 2: is in Wakashaw County. I mean, on it. Sometimes I
- 58:59Speaker 2: think they'd some of these things just to drive me crazy.
- 59:02Speaker 2: There's several core commissioners in Wakashaw County who do you
- 59:05Speaker 2: think he lands in front of? Would you believe Paul
- 59:07Speaker 2: that he lands in front of David Herring? I mean,
- 59:09Speaker 2: I have spent more what would you call it in
- 59:12Speaker 2: podcast world bites, but plus his time. I want to
- 59:17Speaker 2: come up with the technology talking about David Herring and
- 59:21Speaker 2: the low bail that he sets. Now this is fourth offense.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Remember now, what did I say about the case from
- 59:27Speaker 2: Kenosian February unresolved? Obviously the third offense of Milwaukee County
- 59:31Speaker 2: October twenty first, unresolved. He's free on bail on both
- 59:34Speaker 2: of those earlier. As I've explained, in any number of
- 59:39Speaker 2: cases with regard to criminal behavior on anything, drug driving,
- 59:43Speaker 2: you know, assault and battery, no matter what the thing is,
- 59:47Speaker 2: the most dangerous time is when the person is going
- 59:49Speaker 2: to go to prison but their cases are still penning
- 59:52Speaker 2: because they're free on bail. Because they figure, well, I'm
- 59:54Speaker 2: free on bail. I know I'm going to go to
- 59:55Speaker 2: jail for this, or I know I'm going to go
- 59:56Speaker 2: to prison. I'm just gonna keep doing the thing that
- 59:58Speaker 2: I'm doing. This is the problem with low bail and
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: the problem with the slow motion court system. So now
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: he goes in front of David Herring, the court commissioner.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: He sets cash bail at ten thousand dollars, which the
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: guy has posted. He's out right now. This is a
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: time bomb. Remember all those earlier bail conditions. One of
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: the charges he has right now in Waukeshak County is
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: bail jumping. He's charged with bail jumping for jumping bail
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: on the third offense of Milwaukee County. But rather than
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: revoking the bail for jumping, the bail they just charge
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: him with it and set another bail. I don't know
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: if somebody posted it for him or he posted it,
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: but he is out. Who's the villain here, clearly the
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: guy who's he's got a problem as a villain. What's
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: the excuse of Kelly Services. What's the excuse of the
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: commissioner in Kenosha County? What's the excuse of his no
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: account lawyer powers for rather than trying to get this
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: guy that helped that he deserves doing everything he can
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: to drag out his cases. What's the excuse for David
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Herring and Waukeshaw County for not setting a proper bail.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: This guy needs to be locked up to stop himself
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: from drinking. Not to mention that if ever there was
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: somebody who was advertising I am a dangerous threat. Fourth
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: offense usually means prison, at the very least long jail.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: So he's staring at this hard to drink when you're
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: in those places. He's given the fact that he's in
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: this situation where you see show it up. He's a terrible,
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: terrible risk to reoffend at a terrible level. By the way,
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: in the lengthy video that's out there, you see him
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: on the phone. It appeared to be his mother, and
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: you can hear his mother on the phone through the end.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: She's telling you're going to lose your teaching lesson. She's
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: bawling him, O, I can't believe you went to school
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: drunk and all of this stuff. I can sense her exasperation.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: And that's why it related to my sharing the email
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: from the mother of the kid who turned out to
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: be all right and everything. Here's a case of a
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: mother's trying to get him. And you know, the guy's
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: drunk cases, he's screwed up, he's got a problem out there.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: What's I'm saying? All of this is the case, and
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: you and I probably know that. And this stuff with
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: regard to Harring and Waukeshaw County keeps going on and
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: nobody does a damn thing about it, and it doesn't
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: seem to matter how much time I spend. They should
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: have set bail at this guy at one hundred and
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: fifty thousand dollars. We have passed the Constitutional Amendment in
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: the state of Wisconsin to allow protection of the public
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: to be a factor in the consideration of bail. And
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: when this guy's got all these other drunk driving cases
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: that are sitting out there out there, and he then
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: shows up at a school this far over the limit.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: The need to protect the public is absolutely overwhelming. So
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: I'm telling you who has the bigger problem, him or
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: the rest of us for not knowing how to handle
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: this rheus at least has an excuse he's a drunk.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: The sad thing is the people at Kelly, the people
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: at Musquego who hired Kelly, the court commissioner from Kenosha.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: I can't really criticize the Milwaukee court commissioner because he
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: did up the addy on cash, bonded so on, and
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: set the conditions, and now that the case is in
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: walk A Shaw, I think Milwaukee needs to try to
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: forfeit the bail and grab him back in on that
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: given the fact that Waukershaw set the low veil for
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: the fourth offense. All of this stuff, but there's all
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: sorts of problems in regard to the handling this from
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: everybody who's dealt with this guy. The only person who
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: seems to try to help is the mother who's on
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: the phone with him, but which, oh thank you, Paul,
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: don't do it until end them with the podcast and
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: it's almost over. I do have linked up on my
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: ax formerly known as Twitter. Mark Bellings Show is my handle.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: The video is linked up on a post that I
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: put there if you want to see the whole thing.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: And I think that these videos, all these police videos
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: and so on, when people they hear about police instances,
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: when you actually see the arrest and how suspects and
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: criminals are acting and so on, it's quite eye opening.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: And these videos get lots and lots of views. And
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: it's not a matter of picking on this person, but
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: realizing when you see how intoxicated he is, what a
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: danger he actually is when he's out there and I'm
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: not standing at posts for holyffections. The who drug proving
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: is the most evil thing in the world. When you're
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: doing it this many times, make make not learning a
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: lesson and then accelerating and getting this far over the limit,
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: and it's just that you're advertising. Somebody locked me up
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: and somebody protect the pump, and we sit around and
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: do nothing, sit around and do nothing. Scratch your butt
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: and do nothing. By the way, not one of these
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: people can use the government shutdown as an excuse for
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: not doing the job, because none of this had anything
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: to do with the federal government. It's basically just the
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: whole thing is. That's my point of this, Paul. There
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: is almost no reason to think unless somebody in his
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: family has locked him up and put him into when
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: you sign somebody away against their will, very hard to,
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: by the way, do that. Yeah, it's very hard to.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: It's not incarceory institutionalize a person against their will. Late,
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: there's every reason to think, given the issues that he's having,
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: he's going to do it again. How do you think
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: this is going to add? He could have killed three
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: point three to six drive into a skigo. I have
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: to comment on this all right. I was in Florida
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: the end. I came back late Saturday night. I booked.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: I knew that there was a good chance that my
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: flights were going to be canceled. I found a late
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: flight light out of I normally plaut A fort Laudernale.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Found a late night flight out of Chicago on Saturday night.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: It was a NonStop, but I felt that was the
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: least likely to get canceled because it's only one flight,
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: not the two end. It was a puddle jumper and
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: buddle jumper that runs NonStop from Miami to Milwaukee, and
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: it only runs like a couple of days a week.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: It's just I got on it and it was delayed,
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: but I got in and it was a good thing
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: because one of the flights that I booked for Sunday
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: was delayed for four hours, and the connection was delayed
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: for four I don't know who knows where I would
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: have been anyway. So I get back and I was operating,
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: got no sleep yesterday, and I was barely able to
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: watch the football games. And because I got up early,
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: you know, Sunday morning, and after getting in, laid and
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: I saw the weather advisor come across on my phone,
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: winter Weather Advisor for lake effects. Now, so I didn't
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: And I remember last night I went to bed really early,
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: like nine thirty. I remember waking up hearing howling from
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: the from the winds and so on, but waking up
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: for like fifteen seconds and falling back asleep. So then
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: I got up this morning. I got up really early,
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: earlier than I normally do, because I had two of
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: these kind of put together all this stuff that I
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: sent to Paul, the audio that we're playing, and I
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: look out the window at five pint fifteen and there's
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: nothing on the ground at all. So much for this,
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: And I find out Kenosha got nine inches of snow,
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Northern Illinois got twelve, or Seeing got six and seven.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: Lake effects snow is so weird. So some people would say, well,
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: wether forecasters got that over on. Well, the thing of
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: it is they're forecasting for a region and some areas
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: got wamped with a blizzard and others just a few
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: miles away, and I live near on the lake got
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: absolutely nothing, and it was just the focal of the
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: lake effect. And lake effects snow will occur when you
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: have wind blowing off the warmer water of the lake
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: hitting colder air on the land. And that's what we have.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: The lake is still somewhat warm and the airs got
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: really really cold, and it blows that warmer air into
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: the cold that it creates its own separate weather system.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: It's not a system coming in with storms all through
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: the thing. It creates it right over the lake. It's
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: usually on the air is down wind, like you know Michigan,
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: the downside of Lake Superior, Buffalo and Cleveland and those places,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: but occasionally get in Milwaukee, but it's a eastily when
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: not the lake and the way that the I guess
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: the thing was spinning around. It was kind of just
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: south of Milwaukee County, but Kenosha, Waukegan and so on
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: womped like absolutely. I put before I left to Florida
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: on Wednesday. I went in on Tuesday at the snow
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: tires put on my car and they kind of looked, well,
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: this is kind of early to do that. Then I
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: saw this saying I'm gonna have the last laugh. And
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: in fact, when I was coming in Saturday night, it
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: was snowing in Milwaukee Saturday night and the roads were
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: glazed over ice to use. I was even And Paul
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: and I are both advocates of snow tires. I mean,
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: they're very expensive. They're very very expensive, and I understand that,
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: but I just think it's the safest thing a person
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: could do when winter driving. And you just it's like
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: when you have shoes that have good traction on it
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: on the ice, as opposed to say a dress shoe.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: It's the same kind of difference. You can feel it
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: with your hands on the wheel. And Paul and I
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: both I've been stressing Paul, you didn't believe it until
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: you until you did, and so on. Finally, now, Yoda,
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: you have enough money that you can justify doing it.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: But I mean it's serious. I'm not exaggerating when I
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: say this, what's your life worth? I have total confidence
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: in any weather. I have an all wheel drive car,
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: you know, the snow tires on it and et cetera.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: And finally this I was mentioning the problems with regard
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: to a lot of the flights being canceled with the
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: air traffic controllers and so on. See Trump is so brilliant,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: you know. And the government shutdowns not over. The filibus
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: is over. It's going to take a few days. And
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: there's lots of cancelations all over the place because some
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: of the air traffic controllers are not coming in. They're
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: all going to be paid. They have, however, a life
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: and death job. Trump proposed, and he's so right about this.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: He said he wants to give a ten thousand dollars
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: bonus to every air traffic controller who made all of
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: their shifts during the shutdown and dock the ones who
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: called head sick. I agree with that. This is not
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: a case of an employer going under, where you they
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: missed the payroll for three or four weeks, and you
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: wonder why somebody will keep coming in. Everybody knows the
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: government's gonna make they make good on this. These jobs
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: are life and death type jobs. These aren't people that
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: are in parts of the government that are pushing paper around,
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: so forth and so on. I think that there's an
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: expectation to go ahead and do this. And here's the thing.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: The overwhelming majority of them have showed up. I believe
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: only forty airports were affected. They were all the big ones,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: but about twelve percent of the flights were canceled yesterday
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: at those busy airports. Of those forty, and it's gonna
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: be hired. Well, that means the overwhelming majority are still going.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: And I believe I couldn't tell, but it looked to
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: me like when I was leaving Miami Saturday night, they
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: had everybody on one runway because we're like zillion for takeoff,
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: and that was probably just the limited the number of
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: air traffic controllers got a great shot out of the
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: people are so stupid when they take photos out of
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: the windows of an airplane. I got it, just a
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: great it's a little puddle jumper that are not stop
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: was I had great shot at the Miami Skyline taking off,
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: and after I did that, there was no Wi Fi
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: on the plane, so I couldn't fall oh quickly well,
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: the whole time we were sitting on the tarmac. The
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: good thing about it was I was able to watch
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: the end of the Badger game on my phone that
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: this little thing in Wisconsin upset Washington end it was,
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: and it was up shortly after Wisconsin won the game
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: that we took off in. I didn't I never found
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: I can't sleep on plays. I never fell asleep, but
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: I was sort of zoned out. I did find. The
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: only WiFi that was working is the in flight that
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: the airplane runs where they have their own videos pre
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: loaded in. There found a great Sopranos documentary that I want.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: I know, I've seen everything related to the Sopranos that exist.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: I was not aware of this. It was done by
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: HBO and it was released I think just a couple
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: of years ago. It's two parts. I want. The first
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: part was the only one before the flight landed in
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: That's what I remember. Yeah, this this was a really
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: I don't even remember what the name of it was,
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: but it was in the in flight video. May you
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: for American Airlines and you could only watch it on
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: the phone. It's just a puddle jumper. There's no screen
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: in the plane or anything like that. This is the
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: Mark Belling podcast. This is the Mark Belling podcast. I've
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: been mentioning this several times. The shoes keep dropping and
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: this is a big one betting scandals that are going
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: to occur in major American sports now that sports betting
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: is proliferated and is legal almost everywhere. I mention and
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: I always have to explain because I know probably most
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: some of you just know this and many of you
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: don't know it at all. There are proposition bets now
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: when you go to a casino you can bet on
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: just about anything and how many rebounds will a guy
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: get and so on. There's something also called live betting
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: in the States in which you can bet via app.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: That would not be us in Wisconsin, but in many
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: states you can vet bet. You know, you got your
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: phone and bet via an app. You can bet in
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: a baseball game, for example, on the next pitch, not batter,
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: pitch the close for the Cleveland Guardians, Emmanuel plays the closer.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: This is a big time players. I think he was
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: an All star was on the take, and he cut
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: deals with gamblers to deliberately throw a ball on certain pitches.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: That's real easy to conceal, you know, let's put and
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: it was always the first pitch of the at bats.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: So that was the tip waff and the federal indictment
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: of him. He's federally charged. They've got the video. You
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: should see some of this stuff. Some of these pitches
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: are like five feet outside the strike zone. There was
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: just no doubt. He wasn't going to take any chance
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: that the batter was going to swing, because if the
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: batter swings, the pitch is a strike and not a ball.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: So we had to throw it so far that even
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: a stupid hitter wouldn't chase the pitch. Paul said, how
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: much is he making? The story that I have here
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: from the Athletic dot com, which is part of the
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: New York Times. They found it on some of these bets,
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: some of these individual bets, there were as much, in fact,
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: to the indictment. Better's made more than four hundred thousand
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: dollars off of his alleged rig pitches. Now on some
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: of these, will the next pitch be a ball or
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: a strike? They have low limits the gambling sites have
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: just to prevent anybody from wet inside knowledge of something
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: or another. So he had to do it a lot
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: of different times. Throw a ball here, throw a ball there,
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: et cetera. So the gamblers am making a fortune. And
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: his cut was just the four hundred thousand. So the
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: loss here for the gambling sites that were doing it
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: was massive. And the way it's often caught as the
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: gambling sites will start to flag why was there so
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: much money on this? Secondly, there are informants. The thing
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: with when you when you're dealing with the mob, an
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: organized gamb was what you don't think they're going to
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: talk to save themselves. He recruited another pitcher for Cleveland,
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: or Teas, to do the same thing. Or Teas's number
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: was about sixty thousand dollars, so he made four hundred
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: thousand dollars. His salary was four point five million. He's
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: going to be likely go to prison, he's going to
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: be banned from baseball for life. You can say, well,
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: why did it? Just probably seems like such easy money.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: How how is anybody going to catch it? The thing
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: that's going to continue to develop as a scandal in
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: sports betting isn't so much throwing games. It's going to
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: be these proposition bets. And I just think all the
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: gambling sites that operate this need to reconsider whether or
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: not they're setting themselves up to be fleeced right and left. Because,
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: for example, in basketball, they'll have a prop on the
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: number of rebounds a player gets. Let's imagine it's five,
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: the over under is five? Really easy for a guy
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: who's got three rebounds not to get the fourth or
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: the fifth. And who would even notice the ball? You know,
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: he didn't reach for the ball, etc. This case, the
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: guy pitches a ball or a spiracle. Pitchers throw balls
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: all the time. How would you ever know? And I'm
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: not criticizing sports gambling one way or Another's legal hero
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: in Wisconsin how to do it a patdo, and the
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: Indian casinos and so on. Sports betting is figned. But
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: these proposition bets, as I say, they are a terrible
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: threat to the integrity of all of these sports. And
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: this is whether sports have to continue to insist upon
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: the death penalty, in other words, banned from the sport
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: for life to anyone who does it, even the one time.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: It's the only way to prevent it. With regard to
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: Wisconsin football program, Wisconsin announced earlier in the week that
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Luke Fickle will come back as head football coach. I
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: think that's the right decision. Wisconsin football programs having a
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: terrible season, but it's a schizoy team. Wisconsin has one
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: of the best defenses in the country. They held Oregon
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: the week prior to twenty one points, and Oregon has
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: as good an offense as you'll find anywhere, and the
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: defense was just awesome against Washington. Fikel has built an
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: incredible defense. The problem is the offense stinks, and he
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: hired a bad offensive coordinator in his first two years
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: and it's taking time to rebuild the offense, get in
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: better recruits. The offensive line's a mess, and all of
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: his quarterbacks keep going down. He's now lost his first
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: spring quarterback in each of his first two years, and
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: now with Danny O'Neil going down Saturday, his first and
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: second string quarterback this year. But I think that they
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: recognize they have to fix the offense. But he's built
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: a world class defense, which is a pretty good starting point. Secondly,
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: with all these schools firing coaches and Wisconsin not having
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: donors that are willing to come up with a kind
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: of money to hire a great coach, to just start
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: over again, have everybody transfer out, including they've got two
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: freshmen on defense that they decided not to red shirt.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: They insert in the middle of the season. There's two
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: of them that are Mason Poso, who wears number eight.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: He just freshman. He's only played a couple of games out.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: He's as good a defensive player as I think is
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: in college football. He is right there, alright, He's a freshman.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: I'm putting him right there already with the great linebackers
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: in Wisconsin history in Wisconsin is linebacker you both Watts,
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: several others over the years. He's just a phenomenal athlete
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: and he they won the game almost single handedly because
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: of him. The fumble that I get to watch while
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: this is on my phone on the sitting on the turmac.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: He forced the fumble on the five yard line, which
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: is the only reason Wisconsin scored a touchdown at all.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: And then on the final driver, Washington was stymied. He
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: made a sack earlier and then on the fourth down
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: played the Quodawx scrambleak for first down and he tackled
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: him on that. So, I mean Fickles brought in these
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: players that he has a good defensive system, and I
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: think understanding that in college football, when you fire the coach,
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: the whole team transfers. You start from scratch, and they're
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: not going to be able to hire to eat his contract.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: I mean, the big problem Wisconsin he has is that
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: the donors will not come up with enough money to
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: pay for five star recruits. I mean, I am not
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: close to this part of it. I know people who are.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: They think the problem with Wisconsin might be in the administration,
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: with the athletic director Macintosh, and not necessarily the head coach.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: I think Wisconsin's overall athletic department is very very good.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: The basketball team's pretty good, the women's hockey team is
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: a dynasty, the women's volleyball team is very good. The
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: athletic directors in charge of all of that. It's not
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: just the football. But I do think there is hope
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: that by next year Fickle will have an offense that's
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: much better, and if he can keep this defense at
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: the level that it's at, I think that they can
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: bounce back. Unfortunately, they're going to get killed this weekend
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: they play Indiana, which is Indiana might be the best
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: team of the country. They look like they were going
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: to finally lose a game on Sunday and guy made
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: like the best catch of the history of college football.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: And they didn't. But Wisconsin did in beating the fans
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: even ran the field. I mean that shows you how
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: far Wisconsin's falling. The beating the number twenty four team
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: in the country causes you to run the field. But
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: it was just it was just a shot in the
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: arm for a beaten down program. And the other credit
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: to Fickle's whole staff is normally when the wheels fall
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: off on a team like that, the players quit. They
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: haven't quit. They're trying harder than ever. And they got
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: their win. And after they lose to Indiana next week,
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: they left chances in the final two weeks of the season.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: And now this I'm going to tell you about a
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: football team that has scored two hundred and eighteen points
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: the last four weeks. That's a lot. Look at you,
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: and they're trying to do the math. Actually, the like
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: every late game lasts every not the night, not the
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: Sunday night game, but every one of the late three
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: o'clock games, the winning teams going over forty points. I
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: mean all three of the three o'clock game. And that
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: was enough that before I fell asleep and I was
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: able to pick up a note, River Falls, I'm killing you.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: The State University System Conference and so on, Paul, I
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: don't remember River Falls ever being good in anything. I
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: mean anything, not just the academics, sports anything. Their football
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: team is ranked number four in the country this year,
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: and I look this up because they beat my alma mater, Lacrosse,
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: which is a very good football team, that killed them.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: River Falls in the last four weeks has scored two
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: hundred and eighteen points, and they've played two or three
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: of the better teams in the conference. In that stretch.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: They scored fifty two against Stevens point, seventy three against Eauclaire,
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: fifty two against Whitewater, and forty one against Lacrosse. It's
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: not like they just hired a hot they've been They've
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: gotten good the last few years and this is the
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: strongest team ever. But two to eighteen points in the
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: last four weeks. That was river Falls at Paul. That's
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: see I wanted you do a two story podcast, but
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: there's just always too much and I have to We
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: got it all in today, Talk to you soon.
