- 0:27Hey everybody, Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So today I want to talk to you about jealous people and how
- 0:35they try so hard to tear you down.
- 0:41You know, this has real repercussions and if you don't
- 0:46pay attention to it, it can eat you up and it can make you
- 0:49absolutely miserable because you don't understand why people are
- 0:51being mean to you. But when people are jealous,
- 0:55they are desperate to do anything to make themselves feel
- 0:58better, Consciously or unconsciously, I might add.
- 1:01But they will say and do things to bring you to their level.
- 1:06So it's very hard for someone to watch someone else be successful
- 1:09or be good or be effective, because they're not.
- 1:14And they're they didn't maybe, you know, get the job, get the
- 1:18part, get the role, get the guy or the girl or whatever, But
- 1:24they will do things because of their need to bring someone
- 1:27down. They don't want to participate
- 1:30in even just being neutral or saying, hey, I can be happy for
- 1:32you instead, this is a well, I'm going to make you feel bad about
- 1:36who you are because I'm currently pissed off at the fact
- 1:40that I don't have what you have now.
- 1:42Is this always a conscious thought with people?
- 1:44No, it's not. But often there is some sort of
- 1:50level of jealousy that's going on, and that's the emotion
- 1:53that's driving their bus. So they end up being nasty and
- 1:56they say things and do things that affect us or infect us, get
- 2:01in our head and cause us to act different than we would,
- 2:05differently than we would because we're being affected by
- 2:08their emotion. And it's a very complicated
- 2:11situation and it's very unnerving.
- 2:14Yes. Amelia walks up right in the
- 2:17middle of it and has her opinion.
- 2:18It's unnerving, huh, Amelia, It's not a good thing, is it?
- 2:22So it's it's one of those things where you have to make a
- 2:25decision about allowing yourself to not put yourself into a space
- 2:32where you let them get to you. You know, it is a conscious
- 2:38thought. It is something that you have to
- 2:40say. I choose to not participate in
- 2:43this pattern that this person is offering to me because that's
- 2:47effectively what happens. Someone will offer something up,
- 2:50and if you participate in it, then it's a problem.
- 2:53You're effectively inviting this in because ultimately we always
- 2:58have control and whether we want to admit it or not, we have
- 3:02control. I don't care what anyone tells
- 3:04you. We have control because we don't
- 3:07have to accept it. I've had many times in my life
- 3:11where I've been very happy about an outcome that I've achieved
- 3:15and someone has made a wise ass comment or said something rude
- 3:19to me and ultimately that made me feel really bad.
- 3:23And it was. Was it my fault for accepting
- 3:27the comment? Absolutely 1000%?
- 3:29Was it something that I should have been able to ditch?
- 3:32Well, I didn't know any better at the time.
- 3:34So you know, you do the best you can with what you have.
- 3:37But now I know if someone says something and they're rude, I I
- 3:41just look at it and I say, well what's the source?
- 3:43Where is this coming from? Who is this person who's saying
- 3:45it? Would I want their life?
- 3:47Would I want the way they they are to be my way?
- 3:52No, I wouldn't. So we have to remember making
- 3:55the higher level choices, making better choices for ourselves
- 3:58revolves around us being able to recognize we don't want what
- 4:04they're offering and we don't have to accept it, but we can't
- 4:08stop it until we recognize it. So when you're confronted with
- 4:12this, the very first thing you have to recognize is this person
- 4:16is doing this because this is something they're being mean to
- 4:19me. They're saying something rude to
- 4:20me because they're trying to bring me back to their level.
- 4:25And I'm not talking about someone that you ask advice to
- 4:27and say, hey, can you help me out?
- 4:28Do you think this is working? Not working?
- 4:30Do you think you know, I'm not talking about things that you
- 4:33open the door for. I'm talking about things that
- 4:35are random acts of people giving you information or coming up to
- 4:39you and saying things to you. And if they're not people that
- 4:43you love and trust, then you really have to stop yourself and
- 4:45say this is unacceptable. And it's not unacceptable that
- 4:49they're saying it to me. It's not their job to decide.
- 4:53You know if you're going to accept it or not.
- 4:55It's your job to decide if you're going to accept it or
- 4:57not. So you got to stop and put your
- 4:59foot down and say I don't accept this for myself, Not them.
- 5:02Screw them. You don't have to pay attention
- 5:04to them. Screw it.
- 5:04It's not your job. It's between you, the universe,
- 5:08God, and nobody else. So you don't have to invite it
- 5:10in and you need to put them in their place by not entertaining
- 5:14it. You just have to look at them.
- 5:16You don't even have to have a response.
- 5:17Thanks for sharing. That's it.
- 5:19The Doctor Wayne Dyer. Best response ever.
- 5:21Thanks for sharing. And you don't have to say
- 5:23anything else. So hopefully this is helpful to
- 5:26you. Hopefully you find something in
- 5:28this that you can walk away with and know.
- 5:31Remember, if they're not someone that you would want to be,
- 5:33Think, act like, want their life, take advice from then.
- 5:37You have to remember I don't have to take this.
- 5:39I don't have to keep it. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:42you have a very blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:44Bye.
