- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, our guys, the intelligentsia, John Eric Sullivan, Jeff Haffley, are doing the rounds at the combined.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: They've done interviews.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: They've had the podium game on display.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: What up in your thoughts?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: What was your biggest takeaway of what they said this weekend?
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: yeah that it feels like a buddy caught movie almost like they're doing a lot of these a lot of these uh... availability together uh... saw them on the rich eyes and show a watch that this morning uh... on replay on youtube uh... and and i really like
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: I really like a lot of the stuff that they're saying, right?
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like they have a plan.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like they're a cohesive unit.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: They have a plan.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: They know what they want to do this off season.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: They know what the 20, 26 seasons going to look like.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's not going to be pretty.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: Dolphins fans you know this is a foundational year.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: This is a this is a reset year rebuilding year They want to they want to lay the foundation for what they're going to do Within this Miami Dolphins organization for the future so I'm on board.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really on board I think I think John Eric Sullivan's a really impressive guy Here in him speak about his philosophy His team building philosophy.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: He was with the Green Bay Packers organization for a very long time
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: And he got to learn under some really fantastic GMs there.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: And the Green Bay Packers have always been an organization that builds their team well, and they're always in contention.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_02]: And if the dolphins can do that within the next couple of years, and then keep that rolling for the next couple of decades, I think we're going to be really happy dolphins fans.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I just, I really enjoy
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: Listening to them speak, it's not a lot of word salad.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: A little bit different than what we used to get from my video.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: You take 10, 15 minutes just to answer one question and by the end of it, you weren't even sure you got a direct answer.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, these guys seem a little bit more well versed in their media game and and they're they're fun to listen to.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: How about you off?
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: What'd you like from Sully and and half?
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this couple days.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, these guys are really the real media pros like they know how to handle the media Unlike Mike McDaniel.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: One issue with Mike McDaniel is not that he never said anything because he never really said anything But he would me and Ron and on and on as to hog time and After a while that wears on the media
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: right sometimes it's charming after a while it's not after a while it's you kind of see through it and you see see it for what it actually is which is he's essentially trying to kill time and not say anything the good news is that these guys are very media savvy the bad news is that Mike Florio gave him rave reviews and he loves both guys so I don't know how
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think they have a nice blend of a little bit of humor, right?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: They come across as relatable individuals, but they also come across as no nonsense type of guys, you know?
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to have a certain expectation for their players, for their team, for the organization, and they're going to hold those guys to those standards.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: And if you don't meet the standards, then they're going to send you back in.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel more confident.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: in that with soli with half and it really just it feels like it feels like we're on the right path.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: One thing you notice, half Lee, every time he spoke with a different medium member, he would bring up that when he got to San Francisco and he got to see Lynch and Shanahan work together.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: Um, how he, he finally realized what it was like to be part of a cohesive unit, right?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like two guys who were kind of lock-in step together.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but he also continued to bring up the 49ers started oh and nine that season.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: Um, before they, they got things figured out before they turned it around and within a couple years they were in the Super Bowl.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: So, I think that's his subtle way of telling us dolphins that,
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: It may be rocky at the start.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's not going to start out with them going on a three four five game winning streak.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to have to take their lumps until
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: until the players fully buy into what solely in half want them to do so i i think twenty twenty six you know on paper when you look at it uh... as the season unfold if you're if you're only looking at the record you're going to be a disappointed dolphins fan but you really have to take a look at what they're doing to lay this foundation to set themselves up for success in the future because i think we'd all agree we'd much rather have a team
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: that remains successful year after year after year, and is always in contention for a division title, always in contention for a playoff spot.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: And then you get those years every once in a while where you're a really good team and you're playing for the Super Bowl.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think we take that over the dolphins having a 10 and 7 record next year and losing in the wildcard round again.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: teetering out shortly after that.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm all in on this reset this rebuild whatever you want to call it, and I think we got the right guys in charge of it.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: Let me ask you something.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: You don't you don't believe any of this stuff out there that's that they're going to essentially be to squalify for pursuing Malik Willis over the money that they're paying to a ton of a lot of all right like you don't
- 7:00[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think I think you're a partner in crime on on the three YPC main show Chris Kaufman.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think he puts it very well when he says that Sully and Half are going to have more information on Malik Willis than pretty much any other combination of guys on any other team.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: around the league, you know, they got to spend the last two years with him in Green Bay.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: And not to mention, they just hired John Robinson to be president or vice president of player personnel, and he was the GM that drafted Malik Robinson in the third round in Tennessee.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: So they have guys all along this executive staff.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: who have been with Malik throughout his entire career in the NFL.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_02]: So they're going to know more about Malik, well, less than any other front office around the league.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: And if they deem that he's worth 35 million a year, then I believe it.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: But if they come to the conclusion that he's not,
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: Then I'll believe that as well.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think I don't think we're out of the running for Malik Willis yet considering I mean for agency hasn't even started yet.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think his agent David Milageta is doing a lot of work in the media right now to drive up that price We'll see what he lands at when when it's all said and done.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: I do think he's gonna outpaste guys like you know Sam Darnold getting his contract genosmith a shorter contract
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: With far less money a few years prior, but I think he's going to be one of the more expensive Lottery ticket free agent quarterback acquisitions that we've seen over the last few years But I genuinely personally believe he's worth it.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't work for the dolphins So I'm not sure my opinion matters all that much in their eyes, but the opinion of John Erick Sullivan the opinion of Jeff Haffley
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: uh... the opinion of john robinson that's going to carry a lot of weight uh... in regards to their decision whether they're going to be strong bitters from the week willus's services i share hope they are uh... but we'll see how it all plays out when created kiff kicks off next month
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I completely agree if these guys go after Malik Willis There's nothing else to do but to support it because it's these people telling you Yes, he is worth it.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't go after him, you also have to support it because it's these people telling you Yeah, he's not worth it
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: So, we have in our employer right now three guys that no Malik Willis better than pretty much anybody in the league other than I guess, LaFlor.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's probably the only guy that has more information since he called plays for him, but other than that, yeah, we got a triumphant that at one time or the other were involved with Malik Willis and yeah, John Robinson especially drafted Malik Willis.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: Who knows, maybe he's he's gonna go on that redemption tour.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna John Robbins.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's just gonna, you know, he's gonna He's gonna write the wrong that Tennessee had So wish I'll see on that.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Frigency is Believe it's on the 11th.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: So we're talking about Yeah, it's two weeks away.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: Frigency is essentially two weeks away.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Is that crazy or what?
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the offseason's already flying by, huh?
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but the way have you been watching any of the interviews at the to combine?
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: I caught a little bit today on the old Twitter machine while I was driving two work and coming from work.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: I caught a little bit from some of the players out there.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: I've got a race fabulous linebacker for the Ohio State book guys.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Got up there says I never really play in New York all that well so I don't know if the jets want to draft me.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: I heard that and I'm like, he understands what he's saying, right?
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: He knows.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he knows, right?
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I was thinking, when I fucked our vote, Reese, I've ever played in New York.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Plus for Ohio State.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, if you look back on the roster, is it a ball game or something?
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: Did they play Syracuse?
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: uh... it's possible he's angle into get passed over by the jets nobody wants to play for the jets and why would you want to play for the jets they've been and abject disaster for a decade and a half uh... maybe maybe he prefers sunny warm erasana they picked number three maybe he'd prefer to go to the cardinals
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's pretty much the only news that has been made so far at the, at the combine other than that Ruin Bay knocked his, his, his interview out of the park with the, with the media were, essentially he just said, Oh, I do his eat, sleep breathe football.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any other hobbies.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a truth, by the way.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's not gonna happen.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, will he be a jet?
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Quite possibly.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Will he be a Titan?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the best bet.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think a Tennessee Titan is probably the best bet.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's where he'll end up for sure.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we're gonna go to break.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: And when you come back, we're gonna go over this elimination chamber card because
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: Pussy and punk and AJ Lee have been doing the rounds on ESPN and every single channel, so we'll talk about that, but first these words.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, and we are back.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: Speaking of elimination chamber, we want to start with hockey, because essentially it is going to be an elimination chamber.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: Panthers start up again tomorrow against the Leafs at home.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: Dave Hyde had an interesting comment this week.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: He said he thinks that
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: the Panthers have to go 19 and 6 in the remaining 25 games to make the playoffs.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's a tall order.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think they can do it?
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: If you look at the roster, if you look at the schedule, kind of light, like you can see how they can do it, but still, 19 and 6 is a hell of a number to try to put up your thoughts.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, certainly at all, Paul Task, hard to ask, but if any team in the NHL is going to be able to get that done, I'm going to put my money on the Florida Panthers, you know, two consecutive championships here, Stanley Cup championships with very good players, coached by a very good coach and obviously a very good GM here too.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: So, they know
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: what it's like to win when the pressure's on, to win when their backs are against the wall, and that type of, you know, that type of experience is hard to teach.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: Right, but they have they they've experienced it.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: They've been through it.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: So if a team can do it I'm putting my money on the Florida Panthers to be able to do it and you know we're in the home stretch now It's time to time to get serious about this boys and you know we had a big big victory by team USA
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: get in the gold medal over team Canada the Olympics, you know, this past Sunday Let's keep those good feelings rolling.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get these Florida Panthers back on track.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get them in the playoffs and We know once they get to the playoffs It's hard to beat a Florida Panthers squad at the top of their game So if they can go 19 and 6 over their final 25 then they'll be rolling into the playoffs with the most momentum out of any team And there'll be a force to be reckoned with that's for sure
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you said good feelings about team USA.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm completely with you, but if you were on Twitter this week, you know, and you believe any of the what those idiots are saying on there, you wouldn't consider it good feelings.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: You could consider it a portion of the population is probably lost to fucking minds.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you want to comment on that, Marick.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: Are you talking about these Canadians or what do you you know that they keep crying over not only that get not silver?
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: Not that not that not the Canadians crying over silver all the people ripping the the men's team Because they went to the state of the union like who gives they shit?
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Teams do this all the time.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: They go to the White House at the time
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: It and they weren't even in the White House, right?
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: Say the new news in Miami.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, the state party in that elbow room.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, you could just hop right over there.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, not the state of the union was not there, the state of the union was in DC, so that's the flyover to DC.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they gave Connor Heller book, the goal for team USA, they gave him the presidential medal of freedom, which is the highest civilian honor.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think 12 athletes.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's been given to athletes.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's been given to athletes before, so not completely.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one of the last ones was Megan Repino, Megan Repino.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: for U.S. women's soccer, after winning their last World Cup I believe, but it's kind of fake what's going on out there as far as Twitter and it tends to happen a lot in sports lately.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like people just find everybody wants to make things political, you know what I mean and listen whether whether you're not you support with what's going on Politically in the United States right now you can support an athletic team like the men's Olympic gold winning hockey team right they represent all Americans not left
- 16:38[SPEAKER_02]: not right, not Republican, not Democrat.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: They represent all Americans.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: They won the gold for all of us.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: And it's their right to be honored at such a widely watched thing as the State of the Union address.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: And if they want to be there, and if they want to get that recognition, then who are we to tell them that they can't do that?
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: Who are the people on Twitter?
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: to tell them that they can't do that, you know, whether they're fans of the president or not fans of the president, obviously a very polarizing figure in today's landscape, with everything that's been going on over the last couple months and whatnot, but one thing that all of us, as Americans, we can agree upon, is that when, for only the third time and over a hundred years, that gold medal for only the third time for an American
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: over the last 100 years.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's a very special and rare accomplishment, and these guys should be celebrated for that.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's just the fake outrage outrage machine on Twitter, which
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: is mostly populated now in sports, because you see it all the time.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen it with Tutsung of Aloha, for the last couple of years.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: I just think it's the people that are terminally online and they make it real, but it's simply not real.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: I talk to fans all the time.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: And they don't act like these people on Twitter, but these people on Twitter are essentially the opinion makers.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I bring that up because, you know, I don't know if you saw the video, I posted it of Mike Florio.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: Jackass performance I could ever find and add a combine.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen anything like I don't know if you saw the video that I posted, him and Chris Sims, essentially telling two fans to go eff themselves and making believe that he was actually right when he was actually really, really, really wrong.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, it's determinedly online that has created all these narratives as pushed all these narratives and the media will run with it and then, you know, teams have to make it a reality essentially because if they say something long enough, loud enough.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: it becomes the reality and all that Mike Floria has been saying like 30 times a week and if you listen to some of the local guys as well is that Miami won't be able to try to so they keep pushing it eventually it becomes its reality because the narrative then becomes the reality because it's the conventional wisdom.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, I hope that, and not to jump back and forth and now back into the Dolphins.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that with John Erick Sullivan said, when he said that, that everything is on the table, you know what everything means, right?
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: One of them is actually just keeping to a, and telling the rest of the league, go screw yourself, you're not going to get him for the minimum, and we're not going to pay his entire contract for him to throw for you for free, you know, we're just not doing it.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: The table.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that they don't feel pressured to do some stupid here in the next couple of weeks because I do believe it It'll come to a head before for agency like that's That's one decision that will be made and they'll carry it out one way or the other before for agency All right This weekend elimination chamber
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: I would say it's my least favorite of all the paper views.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: What are your thoughts on the elimination chamber match overall anyway, because I just don't like it.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Every year you get these guys trying to top each other with the latest spot and looks even more and more dangerous every single year.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: And we already have a dangerous match.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: Just call hell in the cell.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: And hopefully, they're not going to do another paper for you on it.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully, I remain something that's a special thing.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: I remember when there was only three hell of the cell matches in 10 years.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: At some point, they decided not.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have a paper for you with hell in the cell.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to have two matches every single year.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe three and maybe four.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Liberation Chambers just one of those matches that it's a gimmick match.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't get it.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a fan of it.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: You're thoughts Actually, I'm a fan of the elimination chamber match.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: I do like when things get a little unique, you know There's only so many so many times you can watch one guy versus another guy in a 20 by 20 squared circle here so I do like the
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: Basically, when you add a gimmick match like this, like an elimination chamber match, a ladder match, a cage match, whatever it is, you're adding another element to another storytelling element.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: to your match you know what I mean basically the chamber itself becomes a participant of the match and you can use it in creative ways that you're not able to implement in in other matches regular standard one-on-one matches so when done correctly I enjoy an elimination chamber match and you get the kind of
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: almost a mini royal rumble feel when when they play the music and you don't know which Participant is going to enter the chamber next so you get a little fun with that to you're right It's a very dangerous match from people I've spoken to who have wrestled in elimination chamber matches They tell you it hurts more than most matches out there, you know It's a very unforgiving structure.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's not just a work.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know that that's a shoot as we would say that that's for real so
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's one of those things where like you like you mentioned, if you do it too often, it becomes watered down a little bit and they've done that with other matches.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember when TNA had, I don't remember what they used to call it, but they would do a paper view where every single match on the card was a cage match.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: That gets to be a bit too much, but you know, you do get to see the men's elimination chamber match Randy Orton, L.A. Knight, Cody Rose, Giovanna Evans.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure he's going to do something absolutely batshit crazy in that match.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: Giovanna Evans is the next generation of Superstar High Flyers, trick Williams, J.U.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: so in that one.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: You got some quality performers in there.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's on rain, New York, and Cody to kind of rain everybody in and make sure everybody's doing things the right way.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: The ladies match, Tiffany Stratton, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Keanna James, Raquel Rodriguez, and that one that should be a pretty solid one as well.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think sometimes you get to the point of exhaustion with these matches, now with them trying to make everything equal.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: So every time you get a rumble, it's a men's rumble and a women's rumble.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: every time you get an elimination chamber, it's a men's elimination chamber and women's elimination chamber.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: Plus these, these shows are so close to each other, right?
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: The rumble in the elimination.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: chamber very close to each other one month after another there so maybe they could spread them out a little bit more to get us a little bit more intrigue since they're similar you know similar feels to the match you know with the randomized entranceism whatnot but I always look forward to the elimination chamber I can understand your gripes with it but I'll be watching this weekend.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and keep it an eye on on what's going on, especially because my boy's got to be coming back here soon, right?
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: Seth Rowland's got to be coming back, getting involved, trying to figure out a way to get himself on this WrestleMania card, which is, you know, two months less than two months away.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: Now the winner of the men's elimination chamber match fights Drew McIntyre at Mania, correct?
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, is that what's going on here?
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Drew McIntyre faces the men's elimination chamber winner for the undisputed WWE championship.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: Jake, Jake Cargill faces the winner of the women's elimination chamber.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: So let's see if we can pick this and then we'll pick the other two matches.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: One of which I think is going to be really, really, really good.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: You guess which one I think that is?
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now, who's a good match for Drew McIntyre out of there?
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's a mania match out of that group?
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: Veterans in this one, either a Randy Orton or a Cody Rhodes in this match, I think.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's what's going to allow you to get more eyes on the product, to get a little bit more intrigue.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think you couldn't kind of eliminate Javan Evans and trick Williams from that.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're both talented young men.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um, not quite their time just yet.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care to see you so in this match.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a bit of fatigue for him in regards to the audience.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: L.A. Knight would be a fun story and certainly give you that underdog feel that could lead to, uh, yeah, he's always playing to, he's a special moment.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's always playing the, the Bridesmaid.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's always playing the Edmonton Oilers or teen Canada in this last Olympics.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: like he's he's always getting right to the precipice and then nothing happens.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I would lean really nice.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the reason.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think I would lean early night because I think we've seen pretty much the rest and we don't want to see a couple of these guys.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even want to see a couple of these guys work the way up the card and not you know get into a championship match with Drew McIntyre right away of the women
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: What's a good match for Jake Cargill here?
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill go at it.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think you got you got two powerhouse, very muscular women, very talented women.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to see that match personally.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_02]: Just two big bruising ladies going at it for the heavyweight title.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be a fan of Ripley versus Cargill.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: I completely agree I thought I kind of like workout Rodriguez, but now it's you know We're talking about a headline match.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be real Ripley and Jake Cargill and You're gonna need somebody who can guide Jake Cargill through a match as well, you know Exactly, yeah, so real Ripley's probably the best if not if they go with trifft if any Stratton is just gonna be spot spot spot
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, car-gill domination than spots, spots, but pin, Tiffany wins.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like that.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think rear Ripley's probably the best match there.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and the two two singles matches, CM Punk versus Finn Baller, this is gonna be a good match.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think it's going to be a phenomenal match, two guys who are some of the most talented in-ring performers of this generation, really.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Finn Baller getting a little bit of a resurgence here.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: I loved his work in Japan as Prince Devit, big fan.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: I used to, you know, try and find the matches online, trying to remember the name of the site.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: I used to go to try to kind of pirate those matches.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know, not as big of a factor during his WWE career, but they're giving us this one here.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: This should be a barn burner.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think punk retains here, but I think it's going to be a match that steals the show and certainly one that I'm looking forward to.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then Becky Lynch versus AJ Lee is AJ Lee.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now full time is she going to be full time?
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: Or is this just a one-off for her, again, for the intercontinental championship?
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: I guess is she'll come back from time to time to do a build to a match and then do the match and she'll disappear for a while after that.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: For that reason, I think Becky Lynch retains here and I think it should be a great match.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think both of these girls are really good at what they do.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, friends with Becky Lynch, so I'm a big fan of hers, but even if I was and I would consider her one of the best female wrestlers of all time, I think she's just
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think she's really talented in ring, but I also love her online persona that she's doing right now, where she's getting under the skin of everybody.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's funny.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's just straight up funny to me.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: Every time I read her tweets, I laugh my ass off.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: Do you read her tweets?
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: Do you read her tweets in her voice?
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: Because I do.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: in her voice.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, she's she's very clearly doing her best Donald Trump impression.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe maybe it is a Donald Trump with an Irish accent that I'm kind of reading them in a little bit there.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what an odd couple.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: One is great as a baby.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: The other is great as a heel and vice versa.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think they're in the right roles right now.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're in the right roles right now I think when Seth comes back, there's no way they're gonna keep him a baby face.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: There's just way too many baby faces There's too many anti-heroes it's hard at the top of the target hard to come back It's hard to come back from such a significant injury that keeps you out for as long as it's kept him out for
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: and then maintain status as a heal.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: I could see him coming back as a baby face and having a short lived baby face run before turning heal again.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: I love my Seth Rollins as a heal.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: I know him in real life and he has some very natural heal tendencies that it's very easy for him to accentuate.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get a twist that he's a good dude.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: He'd do anything for you.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: If I needed anything, all it would take is one text,
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: to get it done.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: But he likes to get under people's skin in real life.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously that translates really well to the screen when he's doing his Seth Rollins character as a healer as well.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I agree with you, great heal.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: But I do think it could be fun to watch him return as a little bit of a baby face, especially if he's going to be feuding.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: With the vision, although it looks like, you know, another wrench has been thrown into that with Bronson Reed Potentially tearing his bicep on Monday.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: That was not a good looking injury and you have Bron Breaker Going for surgery, which ruined his maniac run up Yeah, that that whole that whole group's all in a part physically
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's one way you can fix all of that.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: If you need a faction, you have one that you essentially buried, or some would say Solosacoa buried, but just bring back the bloodline.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why did they decide that that had to go away?
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get it.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: It certainly could bring it back.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: Certainly could bring it back.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, got it.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: This point with no brown breaker, no browns in red.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: Who the hell is, is Rowan's gonna feud with anyways?
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, good Paul.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like this, a match I'd be interested in watching, but but still geez.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's it's getting a little thin there.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, entries, entries are a bit entries do ruin a lot of things in sports and yeah, they've they've done a number on on Mania, because yeah, it's yeah, more than I look at it here.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because I'm looking at the, do you see the confirm matches for for Mania already?
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's punk and reigns, it's punk and reigns for the WWE world title, right?
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: Steffity for Care vs. Live Morgan for the WWE Women's World Championship, that makes sense.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: And dollars to donate, Steffity for Care is going to win that, okay?
- 32:28[SPEAKER_00]: If they make her lose again, then this is like eight times in a row where she goes right to the precipice and loses, like it's too much, so she should be going over, then Jay Cargo versus the winner of the elimination chamber, Drew McIntyre versus the winner of the elimination chamber, and Brock Lesnar is confirmed for Mania without an opponent, I don't know if that's the surprise there.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you shall see, maybe Seth Rollins shows up.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to have to be there, right?
- 33:03[SPEAKER_02]: Especially with all these injuries that are happening now.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to have to be there.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's one of the top superstars over the last 15 years in WWE.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think when it's all said and done, he's going to be recognized as probably one of the top five in-ring wrestlers of all time, which is fantastic, not something I would have predicted when we met when we were 16 years old, but hey, here we are fast forward 20 years.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he's a phenomenal worker and you're not going to leave him off of WrestleMania if he's clear to return.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: And by all indication, you know, he's told me privately, but also he's spoken about this publicly.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: He is supposed to get cleared midway through March, which would give him a full month to get ready for WrestleMania.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I think he's champion at the bit to get back in the ring here.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: He misses it, dearly.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we're gonna call it right here next week.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: We might talk a little bit of baseball and we will have like three or four Panther games under our belt So we can talk about how the team is looking down the stretch.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_00]: But wait a little a little trivia that I have here at my fingertips Who won the first ever elimination chamber match oh Good question.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see Was it Shawn Michaels correct now who was in the brown pants?
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, who is the one guy that has won the Illumination Chamber the most in WWE history?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a long time by the way, this is 23 years of Illumination Chamber.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: This guy has won it three times.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: Three times.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to guess Triple H. Correct.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: How did you know this?
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: I do this for a living.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: I do this for a living.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_02]: That might be that might be the reason.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I'm looking at all these results and they have the 2006 elimination chamber winner and at 2006 they had two elimination chambers.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: They had one for ECW that Bobby Lashley won and they have one for WWE that John Cena won and the ECW paperview title is just such a great title.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: It was the December to dismember.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it's very good.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: yeah i'm trying i'm looking through all these winners uh... trying to see if there's any but anybody odd here that has ever won and pretty much no pretty much everybody was ever one in the administration chamber match has gone on to to have pretty big batches at at mania well here's a name right so the guy who came up with the elimination chamber at
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: idea was Chris Jericho.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of heavy rumors that he's going to be returning to WWE in the near future.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: Could he factor into WrestleMania plans?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Who knows?
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: It makes sense.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: What also makes sense?
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Him with Rollins makes a lot of sense.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: Because that can be fun, you know, and by like Triple H has won it four times because there's a time where they had it as as tag matches and Triple H won it with undertaker as as it's tag partner at W to be no way out at 2008.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: Very strange.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: So this is going to be a game bridge fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: So obviously Pat McAfee is going to be there.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so this is gonna be a lot of fun.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: All right, next week we'll talk a little bit of baseball.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: We'll have some games in Hannibal talk, some hockey.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: But, till then, East.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for listening to the Off-Seats.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: Eric and Out.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: Until next time, raise your fans, raise your glasses, and we'll talk to you next time.
