- 0:27Speaker 1: the friends. You get kicked out of the house and
- 0:28Speaker 1: go play with their.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Friends all day.
- 0:30Speaker 1: A lot of times though, these kids are going to

- 0:41Speaker 5: All right?
- 0:41Speaker 4: So for my kids, I'm making to get the heck
- 0:45Speaker 4: out of out?
- 0:46Speaker 2: How old are they?
- 0:48Speaker 4: There are all elementary kids.
- 0:51Speaker 1: You're making your elementary school kids go to summer school.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm making them go to school, man together, as
- 0:58Speaker 4: they need to. They need to be reading, they need
- 1:01Speaker 4: to be doing their reading.
- 1:03Speaker 2: You're a jackass, man, you're a dear old.
- 1:04Speaker 4: But also I also did put them in sports.
- 1:06Speaker 1: To put them in sports, well, that's a friend of
- 1:10Speaker 1: mine has a kid and he said that his kid
- 1:13Speaker 1: can either play a sport during the summer go work
- 1:15Speaker 1: out with him at the gym.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So I guess the kid chose to work out.
- 1:19Speaker 4: But what and my high school kids starts to trut.
- 1:22Speaker 4: My high school kids are going to get a dance pus.
- 1:24Speaker 4: They're doing college classes. So I guess there's opportunities like
- 1:28Speaker 4: that nowadays. So you know what I mean?
- 1:30Speaker 2: No, I don't.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Summers are Summers are for fun being a kid. Summer
- 1:34Speaker 1: was supposed to just be for that three months where
- 1:37Speaker 1: you have fun and not have to worry about you.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It was like it was what it was, a summer vacation.
- 1:42Speaker 4: I wish it was like that enough. But now California
- 1:44Speaker 4: inflation everything. People they got to get out of because
- 1:46Speaker 4: once I high school, there's a lot of competition. Get
- 1:49Speaker 4: a job, all right, man, to the bus drivers the
- 1:54Speaker 4: district because we're at your husband, don't no job?
- 1:57Speaker 2: All right? Man? Thanks, all right?
- 1:59Speaker 5: Man?
- 2:00Speaker 1: Oh the horrible person. Oh what happened to summer? What
- 2:04Speaker 1: happened to summer? Just be in that three months where
- 2:06Speaker 1: you get to do whatever you want, you know, go
- 2:10Speaker 1: hang out with your friends, go go go down to
- 2:13Speaker 1: the river. You know, ride your bikes, have a good time. Now,
- 2:17Speaker 1: gotta go to summer school.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, I don't know, Rome.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Maybe it's so teachers can't continue to get a paycheck
- 2:24Speaker 1: go for summer school.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I don't know either.
- 2:26Speaker 1: All right, summer is here. Moms and dads, What do
- 2:29Speaker 1: you gonna do with your kids? Some of you got
- 2:32Speaker 1: little kids, What do you do? Looks like you guys
- 2:35Speaker 1: are all going to summer school. I mean, the last
- 2:37Speaker 1: guy that called said he's making his kids go to
- 2:39Speaker 1: summer school. But I think that's a terrible idea. I
- 2:42Speaker 1: think kids deserve. I think they deserve their summer vacation.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on with high school nowadays.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Or I know some of you guys got your kids
- 2:51Speaker 1: in summer school so that they can be the babysitter
- 2:55Speaker 1: high school.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:56Speaker 1: When I was in high school, it used to just
- 2:58Speaker 1: be bad. Kids went to summer school to make up
- 3:00Speaker 1: classes they failed. Now I guess kids, it's packed apparently
- 3:05Speaker 1: already four seven to seven yo. Roam, I'm taking my
- 3:09Speaker 1: kids the Hurricane Harbor if you give me some tickets.
- 3:13Speaker 1: How about you just go buy some tickets and take
- 3:15Speaker 1: your kids to the Hurricane Harbor, be a good parent, ay, Rome.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Most kids go to summer school to get ahead, and
- 3:20Speaker 1: nowadays they even have dual enrollment to go to community
- 3:24Speaker 1: college so they can graduate with their associate's degree from
- 3:26Speaker 1: high school as well. That's that's I'm gonna tell you
- 3:29Speaker 1: right now. That's stupid. I don't care what any of
- 3:31Speaker 1: you say. That's stupid. Why would these kids, Why would
- 3:37Speaker 1: these kids be forced to grow up so quickly? Why
- 3:39Speaker 1: can't they just enjoy being in high school? Why can't
- 3:43Speaker 1: they just enjoy having a summer break and not doing
- 3:46Speaker 1: anything but hanging out with their buddies or their friends
- 3:49Speaker 1: during summer vacation.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Why do you have to push them like that? That's
- 3:52Speaker 2: just stupid.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Already four two, four, seven to seven. What are you
- 3:56Speaker 1: guys doing with your kids for summer? A roam some
- 3:59Speaker 1: high school? Some high schools offer college courses so kids
- 4:02Speaker 1: don't have to take two years of general ed in college.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Okay, but that's stupid to me.
- 4:10Speaker 1: And I'll tell you why it's stupid, cause I did
- 4:13Speaker 1: it all. I went to high school, I went to college.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I know what it was like. Nobody needs to grow
- 4:20Speaker 2: up that fast.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Enjoy your life, Enjoy everything, about it. Don't rush at all,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and it's just so dumb.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I'm glad I already went through it all already four
- 4:34Speaker 1: two five, four seven to seven. So summer vacation and
- 4:38Speaker 1: what do you guys do with your kids for summer?
- 4:40Speaker 2: A roam A four two five four seven seven yo.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Rome.
- 4:44Speaker 1: My daughter's going to summer school to get ahead so
- 4:47Speaker 1: that when she's a senior, it's a breeze.
- 4:49Speaker 2: But knowing her, she'll.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Be taking college classes as a senior to get ahead
- 4:53Speaker 1: with college. And I think that's so ridiculous. I'm sorry.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I know it's impressive, and it is. It's extremely impressive.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I was at a college graduation on Thursday night, and
- 5:06Speaker 1: it was extremely impressive what these some of these kids
- 5:09Speaker 1: have accomplished. And they're you know what they've done, But
- 5:13Speaker 1: be a damn kid. My god, you guys can't just
- 5:16Speaker 1: be a kid. Let them enjoy the moments that they have.
- 5:21Speaker 1: And I'm not saying that you're pushing your children to
- 5:23Speaker 1: do it. I'm saying maybe you should discourage your children
- 5:25Speaker 1: from doing it and let them enjoy their lives while
- 5:27Speaker 1: they can't.
- 5:29Speaker 2: It sucks being an adult.
- 5:31Speaker 1: It's hard, you know, you you work hard, you try
- 5:35Speaker 1: to make rent and bills and mortgages and payments, and
- 5:39Speaker 1: even if you have a bunch of money, it's still
- 5:42Speaker 1: be an.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Adult sucks man. Being a kid was great.
- 5:45Speaker 1: It was awesome summer vacation, just doing tubing down the river,
- 5:49Speaker 1: hanging out with your buddies and your friends and going
- 5:52Speaker 1: over to everybody's houses.
- 5:53Speaker 2: And it was just it was great. It's it's terrible
- 5:57Speaker 2: what this has turned into.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Hey, Romeo, my kids are going to be home eating
- 6:00Speaker 1: and drinking everything up. So when I get home, I'm
- 6:02Speaker 1: gonna make grocery trips, so my day don't stop. And
- 6:06Speaker 1: for the parents that send them the summer school, it's
- 6:08Speaker 1: because they have better things to do than watch their kids.
- 6:12Speaker 2: L O L rate to Rob.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I think that's awesome, right to Rob, Yo, roam my
- 6:21Speaker 1: kids or what are my kids doing? My kids get
- 6:23Speaker 1: to get to go to Las Vegas for vacation for
- 6:27Speaker 1: a month.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Uh and they're only ten and eight.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Nice tell them there's a couple of great places for
- 6:33Speaker 1: kids at ten. They take them out to that area
- 6:35Speaker 1: fifty five or two or eighty one or whatever it is,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and then.
- 6:38Speaker 2: You could take them out to.
- 6:41Speaker 1: What's the other place Player one or game one or
- 6:45Speaker 1: something at the mall.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah all right, alrighty for two, five, four or seven
- 6:50Speaker 2: to seven whatever?
- 6:52Speaker 3: Hey, man, so check this out.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Does this make me a bad parent? My son's got
- 6:56Speaker 4: to do his chores before you go eating.
- 6:58Speaker 6: When you stay home.
- 6:59Speaker 2: N I saw that, uh.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Bo like you do for the summer.
- 7:06Speaker 2: No, there's nothing wrong with that. I don't mean if
- 7:08Speaker 2: he likes it, unless you're forcing him to do it.
- 7:10Speaker 3: No, I like it.
- 7:11Speaker 4: But I mean, I just know I can't have him
- 7:13Speaker 4: putting at home. Man, it gets all kunky. You know,
- 7:15Speaker 4: I gotta keep my fid. Say you played football, there's wrong.
- 7:20Speaker 2: There's nothing wrong with doing it.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Putting him in some sort of activity, but you know,
- 7:25Speaker 1: to make him go to school is stupid.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I never want to.
- 7:29Speaker 6: I don't know every real man about you know, in
- 7:32Speaker 6: the summer school a little bit, I'd be mad.
- 7:33Speaker 2: As hell exactly, you know.
- 7:36Speaker 6: I mean, if they're going to head again to college,
- 7:38Speaker 6: the kids want to do it, that's you.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Know, whatever on them. But if you're fortunate the summer still, man,
- 7:43Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 7:43Speaker 4: They yeah, give him at least get money to go
- 7:46Speaker 4: to school.
- 7:46Speaker 3: But I don't know.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I couldn't do that.
- 7:49Speaker 5: Man.
- 7:49Speaker 6: I heard the guys say earlier on the radio that, uh,
- 7:51Speaker 6: you know, he's forting them.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Man, lets the kids the.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Kids, bro because I remember we all needed to do it,
- 7:56Speaker 4: wanted to be an adult.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Look at us now we can go back exactly.
- 8:02Speaker 2: But later I already four two five, four seven said
- 8:05Speaker 2: they've been the wrong with making your.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Kids do a little work around the house, some chores
- 8:08Speaker 1: before they get to go do something, but.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Put them in a sport. I don't disagree with putting
- 8:12Speaker 2: them in a sport.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Like somebody said, my kid's got summer league basketball and track.
- 8:16Speaker 2: And field, and there's nothing wrong with that, but the
- 8:19Speaker 2: summer I just this summer school thing is just to
- 8:23Speaker 2: me ridiculous. Okay, be a kid, man, Let your kids
- 8:27Speaker 2: be kids.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And I don't know if you're forcing them or I
- 8:29Speaker 1: don't know if they've decided they wanted to do that.
- 8:32Speaker 1: But here's the thing that you need to learn, and
- 8:36Speaker 1: this is where I think your parents are wrong.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Is if your kid says, you know what, I'm gonna
- 8:42Speaker 2: go to summer school.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna get a degree, and I'm gonna be by
- 8:45Speaker 1: the time i'm eighteen. I'm gonna have all this stuff done.
- 8:48Speaker 1: What did you miss out on? What did your child
- 8:51Speaker 1: miss out on? And maybe they didn't I could be
- 8:54Speaker 1: completely wrong, But what did your child miss out on
- 8:58Speaker 1: that they had to take summers every year in high school?
- 9:01Speaker 1: They took all these extra classes to get this AA
- 9:04Speaker 1: degree or this whatever degree and this other all the
- 9:08Speaker 1: other things that they did to accomplish by eighteen or
- 9:12Speaker 1: by whenever they graduated high school? What did they miss
- 9:15Speaker 1: out on? And as a parent, you should be focusing
- 9:20Speaker 1: on your kids and letting them have an experience.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So they don't miss out on anything.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And they don't know. Maybe they don't know. I don't know,
- 9:27Speaker 1: Maybe I'm wrong. I have no idea. When I was
- 9:30Speaker 1: I never missed out on anything. My mom was awesome.
- 9:33Speaker 1: My mom was after school at summertime, you do whatever
- 9:37Speaker 1: I played with. I play, stayed on the reds for
- 9:40Speaker 1: a month with all my friends, and all we did
- 9:42Speaker 1: was go tubing and swimming and ride our bikes. And
- 9:45Speaker 1: then I spent another month with my cousins and my
- 9:48Speaker 1: grandparents and all that, and.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Just all I did was play. That's all I did.
- 9:55Speaker 1: So I don't the best experiences of my life, greatest
- 9:59Speaker 1: time of my life. You know, you're never gonna get
- 10:03Speaker 1: them back, So you parents are to push it. If
- 10:05Speaker 1: you're pushing your kids or your kids are pushing themselves,
- 10:09Speaker 1: they have no idea what they're missing, and it's sad
- 10:11Speaker 1: that you don't help them understand.
- 10:12Speaker 2: That for time.
- 10:14Speaker 1: So you and what are you doing with your kids
- 10:16Speaker 1: for the summer? Eight four, two, five four or seven
- 10:19Speaker 1: to seven?
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yo?
- 10:20Speaker 3: Rome?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Some people send the kids to summer school even when
- 10:22Speaker 1: they don't need it because it's free daycare. You know,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I think that I know how expensive you guys pay
- 10:31Speaker 1: for daycare, and I get it that it's tough.
- 10:34Speaker 2: You know, it is tough for that. So I kind
- 10:39Speaker 2: of understand to an extent because the daycare is just ridiculous.
- 10:43Speaker 2: So I get it a little bit for that reason.
- 10:46Speaker 2: But yeah, hey, Rome, my kids just started VHS.
- 10:49Speaker 1: The teachers set them up with health education class so
- 10:52Speaker 1: I wouldn't have to take it later in the year.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Okay, I mean, oh see, And okay, you guys don't understand. Hey, Rome, my.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Oldest is gonna be in second grade and he's already
- 11:04Speaker 1: making plans for the summer that he wants to go
- 11:06Speaker 1: to water parks. The aquariums and museum. That's what I'm
- 11:09Speaker 1: talking about right there.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Second grade. My man knows how to live up summer.
- 11:16Speaker 1: A Rome. My daughter's taking summer school pe so she
- 11:19Speaker 1: don't have to take it in take it during the year.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Why I don't understand. I guess I just don't.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I don't know how high school has changed since I
- 11:28Speaker 1: was in high school, So I guess I just really
- 11:30Speaker 1: don't get it.
- 11:31Speaker 2: But hey all nah, Hey, Rome, When I was.
- 11:34Speaker 1: A kid, When I was a kid, attending preschool was rare.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Now everyone goes to preschool. Oh okay, ay, Rome. When
- 11:45Speaker 1: I was in school, kids were made to go to
- 11:48Speaker 1: summer school because they were failing. Nowadays, it seems like
- 11:51Speaker 1: parents are signing them just so they don't have to
- 11:53Speaker 1: deal with them.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I mean, maybe that could be it. I don't I
- 11:56Speaker 2: don't get it. I don't I.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Don't understand it. Enjoy your summer, have a good time.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Why would you as a kid, why are you not
- 12:08Speaker 1: smart enough to understand that?
- 12:10Speaker 2: You know what summer's for you.
- 12:12Speaker 1: You worked your butts off all day long, all school year.
- 12:15Speaker 2: This is your opportunity to relax for a little bit.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And parents, why aren't you you know, why aren't you
- 12:23Speaker 1: helping your kids understand that?
- 12:26Speaker 2: What is wrong with you people?
- 12:27Speaker 1: All right, we're talking about summer, right, the kids are
- 12:29Speaker 1: out of school for summer.
- 12:30Speaker 2: What are you gonna do with your kids for the summer?
- 12:32Speaker 1: Just let them sit around the house all day, run
- 12:34Speaker 1: up that electricity that ac hit and eating all your food?
- 12:39Speaker 2: What are you gonna do?
- 12:41Speaker 1: Hey, Rome, A buddy of mine send his kids to
- 12:44Speaker 1: summer school so they can eat and you know what,
- 12:47Speaker 1: all they want over there rather than home because it's expensive.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Well, summer school.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Only goes till noon though, right, summer school is not
- 12:54Speaker 1: all day, is it.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I don't really know how long summer school is. But yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 2: all right, all right, what do you do when your
- 13:00Speaker 2: kids for summer?
- 13:01Speaker 1: So yesterday, this was kind of funny. I went to yesterday.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I went to play golf with a friend of mine
- 13:07Speaker 1: and his kid. I think his kids in middle school,
- 13:10Speaker 1: and I think he's in middle school. I think he's
- 13:12Speaker 1: in seventh or eighth grade. I think he's in seventh grade. Actually,
- 13:15Speaker 1: So after we play golf, we go to this slow
- 13:18Speaker 1: bar and grill spot by the golf course, you know,
- 13:20Speaker 1: to have a little lunch, hang out for a little
- 13:22Speaker 1: bit before we take off, and uh, it was probably
- 13:26Speaker 1: I don't know, it's probably three yeah, maybe around three
- 13:30Speaker 1: o'clock I think is when we finished and we went
- 13:32Speaker 1: to this place to eat and we're sitting at a table.
- 13:35Speaker 2: So it's a bar and grill right all one wall,
- 13:37Speaker 2: one big room.
- 13:38Speaker 1: So we're sitting at this high top table, you know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: having lunch, talking and there's this lady who's just loud.
- 13:44Speaker 2: You could tell she's been drinking all day.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And it wasn't like inappropriate, like she wasn't cussing or anything.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You know, she was just loud and you could see
- 13:53Speaker 1: her guys trying to tell her to relax, you know,
- 13:56Speaker 1: calm down, like he's he's getting a little embarrassed, you know,
- 13:59Speaker 1: about which I didn't.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I didn't think it was.
- 14:02Speaker 1: To me, it was just some woman having fun, okay,
- 14:05Speaker 1: day drinking, having a good time, because it wasn't really
- 14:08Speaker 1: anything other than that except being loud, and you could
- 14:13Speaker 1: see her guy was trying to like, you know, get
- 14:15Speaker 1: her some water, this and that. And then my buddy's
- 14:19Speaker 1: kid goes, hey, Dad, that's my teacher right there.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And by buddy, he's like what that's your teacher.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yeah, dad, that's my teacher.
- 14:34Speaker 1: And he's like, oh no, And you could see my
- 14:37Speaker 1: buddy kind of getting a little like, oh my god,
- 14:39Speaker 1: how embarrassing this woman's teaching my kid.
- 14:42Speaker 2: And I was like, dude, calm down, bro, she just
- 14:45Speaker 2: he's a teacher on vacation. Right. It doesn't mean she's
- 14:48Speaker 2: bad at her job. It just means, you know, she's
- 14:50Speaker 2: drunk during summer.
- 14:53Speaker 1: But but what I thought was funny about the whole
- 14:55Speaker 1: situation had nothing to do with that being his teacher.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Was Remember I remember running into my teacher at the
- 15:01Speaker 1: grocery store and being like, oh my god, my teacher's
- 15:05Speaker 1: at the grocery store. Like you know, when you're a kid,
- 15:07Speaker 1: you'd never think your teacher leaves school. But I mean,
- 15:12Speaker 1: how times have changed, right, We used to freak out
- 15:16Speaker 1: when we'd be out at the mall and you'd run
- 15:18Speaker 1: into your teacher. Now you see him at the bar
- 15:20Speaker 1: getting drunk on a Monday. Things are different. Teachers are
- 15:24Speaker 1: different nowadays already four two, five, four, seven and seven.
- 15:30Speaker 1: But yeah, it cracked me up because he ran into
- 15:33Speaker 1: his teacher she was drunk. I ran into my teacher
- 15:36Speaker 1: at the Frozen food ale at the grocery store when I.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Was a kid, So yeah, it was kind of funny.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I was telling you yesterday, I was out with my
- 15:42Speaker 1: buddy and his kid who was in middle school, seventh grade.
- 15:45Speaker 2: We're out playing golf. We stopped by a bar and
- 15:47Speaker 2: grill to have lunch after golf, and his teacher was.
- 15:51Speaker 1: There getting drunk. I thought it was funny. I thought
- 15:54Speaker 1: it was funny because it was just not for any reason.
- 15:57Speaker 2: She's a teacher.
- 15:58Speaker 1: But you remember, kid, when you'd run into your teacher
- 16:01Speaker 1: out in public, it was like the most shocking thing ever.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I used to run into mine at the grocery store.
- 16:06Speaker 1: You know, that was shocking as all get up. But
- 16:09Speaker 1: now you run into him at the bar apparently already
- 16:11Speaker 1: four two popoor is seven to seven.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Hey, Romeo.
- 16:16Speaker 1: When I was sixteen, I had this real conservative teacher
- 16:21Speaker 1: that dressed like a grandma. And I remember one time
- 16:25Speaker 1: during the summer, my family and I we went to
- 16:28Speaker 1: Pismo Beach like everybody does in Bakersfield, and I ran
- 16:31Speaker 1: into her on the beach in a bikini. I couldn't
- 16:35Speaker 1: believe how different she looked. I didn't know what to do.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Now every time I looked at her in class. I
- 16:42Speaker 1: got a little excited. Well, it is funny when you
- 16:47Speaker 1: run into a teacher in their regular clothes. Well, now,
- 16:50Speaker 1: I guess teachers today dressed like you know anyway, So
- 16:54Speaker 1: all right, already four two popos seven to seven Rome.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Years ago, I went to this club with a couple
- 16:59Speaker 1: of buddies. My daughter's kindergarten teacher was there, smashed off her,
- 17:04Speaker 1: but she couldn't even stand. I thought it was funny.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Turns out there was a bunch of teachers there that
- 17:10Speaker 1: were all smashed. Yeah, yeah, I mean, I uh, they're
- 17:16Speaker 1: just people, right, they still go out.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how. I don't know how
- 17:21Speaker 2: did you feel about it? Did you care? Is just funny?
- 17:23Speaker 1: Huh, it is funny, just like yesterday I thought was funny.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I'm just saying back in my day with the craziest
- 17:31Speaker 1: thing that ever happened when you ran into your teacher
- 17:34Speaker 1: was you know, like the post office, at the grocery store.
- 17:37Speaker 2: You know already four two five four or as seven
- 17:40Speaker 2: is seven? Do you remember running to your teacher when
- 17:42Speaker 2: you were in school? I remember running to your teacher
- 17:44Speaker 2: when you were a kid.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yesterday I was with a buddy of mine and his
- 17:47Speaker 1: son we went and played golf, and he's a seventh grader.
- 17:50Speaker 2: We ran to his teacher at the bar. She was
- 17:51Speaker 2: drunk and loud, and I thought it was just hilarious.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I don't think my buddy found it as hilarious as
- 17:58Speaker 1: I did, but I just I found it hilarious.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Was because you run into your teacher.
- 18:03Speaker 1: You usually at the grocery store, right That was a
- 18:07Speaker 1: big deal back in the day. The grocery store, the
- 18:10Speaker 1: post office, wherever your mom was running errands and took you.
- 18:13Speaker 1: You'd run into your teacher, and you just were shocked
- 18:16Speaker 1: to run into them. Right now, they're drunk at the bar.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Already, four two, five, four, seven to seven.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Hey, Romeo, you're not going to believe this, but I
- 18:26Speaker 1: ran into my teacher at my house. I was raised
- 18:31Speaker 1: by a single dad, and one night I got up
- 18:35Speaker 1: and my teacher was there with my dad.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I couldn't believe it.
- 18:39Speaker 1: It kind of shocked me and kind of traumatized me
- 18:42Speaker 1: a little bit. I didn't know my dad had dated
- 18:45Speaker 1: my teacher.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Ah, that's funny. Your dad was a player.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Huh yeah, I mean, what do you expect if your
- 18:56Speaker 1: teacher single, your dad single, your teacher single?
- 18:59Speaker 2: What do you expect? I mean, you might have wanted
- 19:01Speaker 2: to let you know she was coming by the house,
- 19:03Speaker 2: but you know.
- 19:05Speaker 1: It happens already, four two five, four seven to seven.
- 19:09Speaker 2: So, yeah, I was yesterday.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I was out playing golf with a friend of mine
- 19:14Speaker 1: and is, uh, well, how old are you in seventh grade?
- 19:17Speaker 2: I don't know whatever.
- 19:18Speaker 1: So we went out to eat afterwards, and we ran
- 19:20Speaker 1: into his teacher. He goes, Dah, there's my teacher. She
- 19:22Speaker 1: was some drunk lady at a bar, just having a
- 19:24Speaker 1: good time, you know, and that was his teacher.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I was laughing.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I thought it was funny already four two five, four
- 19:32Speaker 1: seven to seven. Hey, Romeo, some teachers near drink after
- 19:38Speaker 1: taking care of some of these badass kids at school.
- 19:41Speaker 1: My daughter is a school teacher, and she has no filter.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Her response to every parent who says my kid isn't
- 19:48Speaker 1: is an angel, She responds.
- 19:50Speaker 2: So was Lucifer.
- 19:53Speaker 1: You know, we feel about those those people that say
- 19:56Speaker 1: they have no filter. We were just talking about this
- 19:58Speaker 1: other day, and I'm gonna say this for your daughter.
- 20:01Speaker 1: That's her way of justifying her being a jackass to people.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You can say things nicer to people without being a
- 20:07Speaker 1: Jackass's that's every person who says I have no filter.
- 20:11Speaker 1: You just have to accept me the way I'm here.
- 20:13Speaker 1: That's just you make an excuse for you to be
- 20:15Speaker 1: a jackass, all right, e four two five four or
- 20:17Speaker 1: seven to seven. I'm not even talking bad about the
- 20:19Speaker 1: teachers say they don't need to drink. I just thought
- 20:21Speaker 1: it was funny because when I ran into my last time,
- 20:24Speaker 1: I think I ran into my teacher when I was
- 20:26Speaker 1: a kid. It was at the grocery store, not at
- 20:27Speaker 1: a bar. So I don't give a damn. Hey, rom
- 20:32Speaker 1: my wife is a teacher. These kids have no idea
- 20:35Speaker 1: how freaky she is because she acts so innocent and
- 20:38Speaker 1: the sweetest sweetheart at work. Yet, oh, I forgot to
- 20:43Speaker 1: mention she was my son's fourth grade teacher.
- 20:46Speaker 2: That's how we met. Now we are married, you know. Well,
- 20:53Speaker 2: I mean.
- 20:56Speaker 1: To be fair, though teachers today don't remember what I
- 20:59Speaker 1: to me. I think when teachers was a career that
- 21:04Speaker 1: had a little class to it. I don't think teachers
- 21:06Speaker 1: hold themselves to a standard as much as they used to.
- 21:10Speaker 1: But then again, does any profession hold itself to a
- 21:12Speaker 1: standard like it used to.
- 21:13Speaker 2: When we were younger.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not really sure, to be honest with you.
- 21:17Speaker 1: It's been a long time since I was in school,
- 21:19Speaker 1: so it's hard for me to really I always maybe
- 21:22Speaker 1: maybe it's not that the teachers don't hold themselves to
- 21:26Speaker 1: a standard. Maybe as kids, we were just more respectful,
- 21:30Speaker 1: So maybe there was that's the dynamic.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I'm not really sure.
- 21:33Speaker 1: But anyway, running into your teacher alrighty four two, five, four,
- 21:37Speaker 1: seven to seven.
- 21:38Speaker 2: You guys, remember when you ran into your teacher when
- 21:40Speaker 2: you were a kid.
- 21:41Speaker 1: It was it was shocking for kids. Kids are shocked
- 21:45Speaker 1: when they run into their teacher. Right, yesterday, we were
- 21:47Speaker 1: with my buddy and I were out playing golf with
- 21:49Speaker 1: his son and he ran into his We ran into
- 21:52Speaker 1: one of his teachers.
- 21:53Speaker 2: He's in seventh grade. Ran into one of his teachers
- 21:55Speaker 2: at she was at.
- 21:56Speaker 1: The bar drink and we were at a bar and grill,
- 21:58Speaker 1: you know, one of those spots where it's one room,
- 22:00Speaker 1: the bars on one side, tables for the for the
- 22:02Speaker 1: patrons to eat on the other side.
- 22:04Speaker 2: And she was just loud and having a good time.
- 22:06Speaker 1: She wouldn't do anything wrong, but he goes, Dad, that's
- 22:09Speaker 1: my teacher, and I think his dad.
- 22:11Speaker 2: I think my buddy got a little like, what the
- 22:14Speaker 2: hell you know is going on here?
- 22:15Speaker 1: But it wasn't a big deal. She was just you know,
- 22:18Speaker 1: she's on summer breaks. Who doesn't go out day drinking.
- 22:21Speaker 1: You know, I was out day drinking, shoot, playing all
- 22:23Speaker 1: day drinking. It's no big deal. But it is different
- 22:29Speaker 1: nowadays because I when, you know, I remember running in
- 22:32Speaker 1: to my teacher with with my mom when we were
- 22:34Speaker 1: doing errands, you know, just doing regular stuff, not at
- 22:37Speaker 1: the bar. But yeah, I thought it was funny already.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Four two five, four, seven to seven. My boy, big boy,
- 22:44Speaker 1: just sent me a message. He goes, hey, remember Roman.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I don't want to put him out there. But remember
- 22:48Speaker 1: when so and so's wife was on the Romeo cruise
- 22:51Speaker 1: she got hammered and ran into some of her kids
- 22:54Speaker 1: parents didn't want to drink anymore.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't remember that, but that's different. We're on
- 23:02Speaker 2: a cruise, right, especially if you're with me. Were the
- 23:05Speaker 2: I'm guessing that it was one of our listeners.
- 23:09Speaker 1: She was a teacher, She was on the cruise, enjoying herself,
- 23:13Speaker 1: ran into some of her kids parents, Oh, from her class. Well,
- 23:18Speaker 1: what were the parents doing on the cruise. Were they
- 23:21Speaker 1: with us, big boy, I don't remember. I don't remember
- 23:24Speaker 1: the situation. I remember the crews and I remember them
- 23:28Speaker 1: because I know them, but I don't remember that happening.
- 23:33Speaker 1: So she quit drinking.
- 23:34Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Well, what were the parents doing? I mean, some of
- 23:38Speaker 1: your parents out there are okay with your teachers. You know,
- 23:40Speaker 1: some of these parents and teachers get along real well
- 23:43Speaker 1: because some of these teachers are really good teachers, and
- 23:46Speaker 1: they take care of these people's kids, and these parents
- 23:48Speaker 1: are very appreciative, and when you run into them out drinking, you.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Buy them a drink.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Right anyway, already four two five, four, seven to seven.
- 23:58Speaker 1: But big boy, the Romeo crews don't caret uh. Romeo
- 24:01Speaker 1: Cruz is like, uh, that's like going to Vegas. What
- 24:04Speaker 1: happens on the cruise stays on the cruise.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Morning, Romeo Man.
- 24:09Speaker 7: Talking about that teacher at the bar just reminded me
- 24:11Speaker 7: about the time I saw one of my teachers a
- 24:14Speaker 7: situation and probably should in the scene her. It was
- 24:17Speaker 7: a year after high school spring break, and unfortunately I
- 24:21Speaker 7: got pulled over and I ended up getting a well
- 24:24Speaker 7: reckless right.
- 24:27Speaker 6: No, you have to take the steps classes, right, Yeah,
- 24:31Speaker 6: the step classes right on cowboway uh huh.
- 24:35Speaker 5: I ended up.
- 24:35Speaker 7: Seeing my old tea teacher in there with me. I
- 24:39Speaker 7: sat behind her, so she didn't see me, but I've
- 24:41Speaker 7: seen her, and I was like, there's no way we're
- 24:44Speaker 7: both in the dust class, right, No, this was crazy?
- 24:48Speaker 2: Whoa that is?
- 24:51Speaker 1: Oh my?
- 24:51Speaker 2: Did you say anything to her?
- 24:53Speaker 4: All's embarrassed?
- 24:54Speaker 7: I was like, no way, Like I wasn't even twenty one.
- 24:57Speaker 8: Like I blew a point four, which.
- 24:59Speaker 4: Is not over the limit, but I wasn't twenty one
- 25:01Speaker 4: at the time.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Wait a point oh four? You blew a point oh four?
- 25:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but I wasn't twenty.
- 25:07Speaker 1: One point If you blew a point four you'd probably
- 25:10Speaker 1: be dead. Yeah yeah, so uh but you didn't. She
- 25:16Speaker 1: would have been embarrassed too. Man, what's up with that?
- 25:19Speaker 5: No, I don't know.
- 25:20Speaker 3: I mean I didn't want What are you doing?
- 25:23Speaker 2: That's hilarious?
- 25:25Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, all right man? Later, yeah, you run
- 25:32Speaker 1: into a teacher. Man, do you remember when you ran
- 25:34Speaker 1: into one of your teachers? I mean, let's be honest,
- 25:36Speaker 1: we thought our teachers just lived at school. We didn't
- 25:38Speaker 1: know they actually lived in the real world. Remember the
- 25:40Speaker 1: first time you ran into your teacher or running into
- 25:42Speaker 1: a teacher. Man, we didn't know they didn't live at school,
- 25:45Speaker 1: right alrighty four two pop four seven seven, rome After
- 25:50Speaker 1: dealing with our kids all year, they deserve to be
- 25:53Speaker 1: hammered all summer.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Oh the teachers. Yeah, I don't have a problem.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I mean, I really don't have a problem with a teacher,
- 25:59Speaker 1: you know, out in public being you know, being hammered.
- 26:02Speaker 2: I mean, I got it.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Who doesn't like to go out and do some day
- 26:04Speaker 1: drinking and have a good time. I mean, And to
- 26:07Speaker 1: be honest with you, she wasn't being unruly, She wasn't
- 26:10Speaker 1: doing anything. She wasn't being she wasn't being vulgar, she
- 26:15Speaker 1: wouldn't do She was drinking and having.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Fun, you know.
- 26:18Speaker 1: And you know some people get loud when they drink.
- 26:20Speaker 1: So there was nothing nothing, It was fine.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Uh hey, Romeo.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I remember after graduation in high school, I got a
- 26:26Speaker 1: job at Don Perico's restaurant.
- 26:29Speaker 2: My uncle, the bartender, hooked it up. Tell me why.
- 26:33Speaker 2: A year later, I see my high school teacher.
- 26:35Speaker 1: She was so beautiful, and I was always I always
- 26:38Speaker 1: flirted with her. I told my uncle to give her
- 26:41Speaker 1: free drinks, and I told her to enjoy them.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Tell me why.
- 26:44Speaker 1: At the end of the night, she was waiting outside
- 26:48Speaker 1: and her excuse was she was waiting for her ride.
- 26:51Speaker 1: But yet she came with a friend. So I ended
- 26:54Speaker 1: up giving her a ride.
- 26:56Speaker 2: And it was totally worth it.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So if she's hearing this right now, I'm sorry, but
- 27:01Speaker 1: I didn't say any names. This was twenty ten. Well,
- 27:06Speaker 1: at least you graduated high school. These teachers today, man,
- 27:09Speaker 1: they don't even wait till you graduate.
- 27:11Speaker 2: At least she waited. That's something to be said for
- 27:14Speaker 2: that teacher.
- 27:16Speaker 6: Is one thing.
- 27:16Speaker 3: But I don't know if you know that Bakersfield is
- 27:18Speaker 3: home to a lot.
- 27:19Speaker 6: Of correction officers. Okay, you know we got washboat to
- 27:23Speaker 6: hatch to be We had a lot of jails around us.
- 27:25Speaker 3: And I remember I came home from a little vacation
- 27:28Speaker 3: from court.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Oh that's not at all what we're talking about.
- 27:31Speaker 3: But I ran into a ceo.
- 27:33Speaker 2: So I don't care that Parker teacher.
- 27:36Speaker 1: No, it's not why why heads into the conversation.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Nobody cares about you ran into a ceo. They're all
- 27:42Speaker 2: over the place.
- 27:43Speaker 1: What the hell get out of here, Oh my god,
- 27:46Speaker 1: get the hell out of here, you guys.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Let me do the show.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Okay, that's why it's Romeo on in the morning, because
- 27:54Speaker 1: I'm letting me do the show. All right, don't call
- 27:57Speaker 1: with your stupidity.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Oh, we made it another year. Heading into that summer weather.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Everybody graduated, the graduations are over, the parties are starting.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Summer's here. What do we do now?
- 28:13Speaker 1: Let me check it out here. The weather's about to
- 28:15Speaker 1: jump up into the nineties here pretty soon. We're not
- 28:17Speaker 1: quite in the hunters yet, but we are.
- 28:20Speaker 5: Uh.
- 28:21Speaker 1: I guess we're gonna be ninety four today, ninety four
- 28:24Speaker 1: if it's perfect for ninety four point one mm. Yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 1: mid mid to low to high nineties. Right, it looks
- 28:31Speaker 1: like maybe next week, next Wednesday, we'll jump to ninety nine.
- 28:34Speaker 2: But summer's here. Your kids are out of school.
- 28:37Speaker 1: They're gonna be sitting on your couch, running up at
- 28:39Speaker 1: ac right.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Are you making we get summer jobs? What are you doing?
- 28:44Speaker 2: But we made it.
- 28:45Speaker 1: We made it another year, right, seems like it went
- 28:48Speaker 1: by pretty quickly.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Huh, All right? Before two pivet four or seven seven?
- 28:52Speaker 1: What almost I gonna get into? I can't remember what
- 28:59Speaker 1: it was. I wrote something down over the weekend and
- 29:03Speaker 1: I left it at home. Totally forgot what it was.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Now I remember what I was going to tell you.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Now.
- 29:10Speaker 1: A friend of mine, he's been working in LA for
- 29:14Speaker 1: the last I don't know, a couple of months or
- 29:16Speaker 1: month or so, however long it's been, and apparently he's
- 29:19Speaker 1: been playing the show, listening to the show on whatever
- 29:24Speaker 1: it is tune in or whatever.
- 29:26Speaker 2: You can listen to the show on.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Right, And I guess a few of his co workers
- 29:31Speaker 1: have been listening with them. So I don't know what
- 29:33Speaker 1: the situation is exactly, but it's been on. They've been
- 29:36Speaker 1: hearing it, and they were asking him how.
- 29:41Speaker 2: It is possible that the things I do are are okay?
- 29:49Speaker 1: And I guess, you know, telling people they're dumb when
- 29:52Speaker 1: they say stupid things, you know, like Raider Dave, Seahawklou.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Those guys will say idiotic things, just like Raider Dave
- 29:58Speaker 1: just did this morning. And they say stupid things, and
- 30:01Speaker 1: I call him stupid for saying stupid things, or I
- 30:03Speaker 1: hang up on them, or whatever.
- 30:04Speaker 2: The case may be.
- 30:05Speaker 1: They go, oh, I can't believe how'd he get away
- 30:07Speaker 1: with doing that? How do you talk to your friends?
- 30:12Speaker 1: You know, if your friends say something stupid, don't you
- 30:14Speaker 1: tell him that was something stupid? What you're saying is stupid?
- 30:17Speaker 1: Or don't I mean? I mean, I like Greater Dave.
- 30:22Speaker 8: I do.
- 30:23Speaker 1: He's a He's a very integral part of the show, him.
- 30:28Speaker 2: And Seahawk Loup.
- 30:29Speaker 1: But they say stupid things and they sound like idiots.
- 30:33Speaker 2: So what do you expect me to say to them?
- 30:36Speaker 2: But I think it's funny.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Because it's not the first time this happened. There's been
- 30:38Speaker 1: some some friends came from out of town. Family and
- 30:44Speaker 1: friends of my friends came from out of town obviously
- 30:47Speaker 1: this this week for graduations, and they were listening to
- 30:51Speaker 1: the show too, And then I had to see him
- 30:53Speaker 1: at some parties, like gosh, you really do tell people that.
- 30:55Speaker 2: I'm like, what do you?
- 30:56Speaker 1: How do you talk to your friends and your family?
- 30:59Speaker 1: You know, if they say dumb stuff, don't you say
- 31:02Speaker 1: dum Don't you say that, Hey, what you're saying is stupid?
- 31:06Speaker 1: I just bro what kind of every time somebody says
- 31:11Speaker 1: something about the way we've done this show for twenty
- 31:15Speaker 1: plus years in Bakersfield, I don't know. It amazes me
- 31:21Speaker 1: what's going on in other cities? Man, How are you
- 31:23Speaker 1: people living if you can't have I mean, if you
- 31:25Speaker 1: can't tell your friends and family that you know, you
- 31:29Speaker 1: can't joke with them, you can't.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I mean, what's going on. Oh my god, I can't
- 31:34Speaker 2: believe he just hung up on that person. Well, that
- 31:36Speaker 2: person shouldn't have been an idiot, right. I don't get it.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I really don't get it.
- 31:42Speaker 1: But they still listen. They mean it's funny because it is.
- 31:47Speaker 1: To check this out, a friend of mine, his kid
- 31:50Speaker 1: just graduated college, just got out of Fresno State, and
- 31:55Speaker 1: he met a girl a year. I think they've been
- 31:57Speaker 1: going out for a little over a year. So he
- 31:59Speaker 1: met his girl last year sometime and they started dating.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Now they both graduated college this year. Now she does
- 32:08Speaker 1: live up still vin Fresno. He's back here in Bakersfield.
- 32:13Speaker 1: But he was telling me that they were still dating.
- 32:15Speaker 1: They're making it work. I think it's close enough, right,
- 32:17Speaker 1: So who knows they're going to end.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Up together or not. But this is what happened.
- 32:22Speaker 1: The dad was telling me about about a son that
- 32:25Speaker 1: the girl he's dating came to him and said she'd
- 32:30Speaker 1: like to see other people.
- 32:33Speaker 2: She said she still wants to date.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Him though, And he's all, obviously, you know, he's kind
- 32:38Speaker 1: of in his feelings a little bit.
- 32:40Speaker 2: He doesn't know what to think about it. But I
- 32:43Speaker 2: get it. They're fresh out of college. They don't know
- 32:46Speaker 2: where their lives are going.
- 32:47Speaker 1: But she said she still wants to date him. He
- 32:51Speaker 1: doesn't know if he should now he should, by the way,
- 32:57Speaker 1: because maybe she's the one. Okay, you gotta experience something
- 33:02Speaker 1: before you settle down to know that you're with the
- 33:06Speaker 1: right person. Right, So, even though they've been dating for
- 33:09Speaker 1: about a year exclusively, she wants to date other people.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I don't know how that's gonna work out.
- 33:14Speaker 1: She may go on a couple of different dates, find
- 33:15Speaker 1: out it sucks, and then be right back in his
- 33:17Speaker 1: arms exclusively. But he doesn't understand it. He's kind of like, well,
- 33:22Speaker 1: we're exclusive. Does this mean we're breaking No, it doesn't
- 33:25Speaker 1: mean anything. It just means that she wants to see
- 33:29Speaker 1: what else is out there. But she still wants to
- 33:31Speaker 1: date you.
- 33:33Speaker 2: You guys.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I think the problem he's having is she's honest about it,
- 33:37Speaker 1: which is a great thing. She's being honest with you
- 33:40Speaker 1: about what she wants to do.
- 33:42Speaker 2: You're in the game, bruh.
- 33:44Speaker 1: I mean you're still in the game if you really
- 33:45Speaker 1: like her and you really want her. I mean, you're
- 33:47Speaker 1: still in the game. Why not let her go out
- 33:50Speaker 1: there and find out there's nothing better than you? What's
- 33:54Speaker 1: the harm in that unless she finds something better than you.
- 33:56Speaker 1: But if that was the case, she was going to
- 33:58Speaker 1: find something better than you any ways, right already four two, five,
- 34:02Speaker 1: four or seven to seven when it comes to dating.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Right, So, I was looking.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Back in the day when you would date somebody, if
- 34:09Speaker 1: you would date multiple people, you wouldn't tell them you
- 34:11Speaker 1: were out dating multiple people.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Right.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Well, a friend of mine and his kid just got
- 34:15Speaker 1: out of college and he's been dating this girl pretty
- 34:17Speaker 1: exclusively for the last year or so. Well, she lives
- 34:20Speaker 1: still lives in Fresne. He went to Fresnoe State, so
- 34:22Speaker 1: she still lives in Fresne. He'd moved back to Bakersfield.
- 34:25Speaker 1: They're still seeing each other. Well, she came out and
- 34:27Speaker 1: told them that, hey, I want to see other people.
- 34:30Speaker 1: I don't want to stop dating you, but I want to,
- 34:33Speaker 1: you know, go out in the dating scene and see
- 34:35Speaker 1: what's out there. And I don't know if she said
- 34:37Speaker 1: it like that, but that's the way I read it.
- 34:39Speaker 1: She wants to see what else is out there.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Good morning, what's.
- 34:42Speaker 6: Going on, Romie, I think you should still hit it.
- 34:45Speaker 8: I don't think you should get too attached, don't get
- 34:47Speaker 8: in this villings.
- 34:48Speaker 3: But it's obvious the kid liked her and she's not
- 34:52Speaker 3: totally committed to settling down with one person, which is
- 34:55Speaker 3: understandable she's young.
- 34:57Speaker 8: But if you know my.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Question, it is you say she's not totally committing to
- 35:02Speaker 1: settling down. Maybe she is committed to settling down and
- 35:05Speaker 1: she wants to make sure he's the one.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Maybe she wants to go out and date a couple
- 35:09Speaker 2: other guys and see what else.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Is out there to make her realize he's the one
- 35:14Speaker 1: she wants to really settle down with.
- 35:17Speaker 8: Yes, and Roman, we've had this conversation before, but you know,
- 35:20Speaker 8: when it's.
- 35:20Speaker 2: You, Reilly, you're an idiot.
- 35:23Speaker 6: You really and she don't really, So otherwise she wouldn't
- 35:25Speaker 6: have to look around and nothing.
- 35:27Speaker 2: You know, I completely disagree with you. Rather to day
- 35:30Speaker 2: we have.
- 35:30Speaker 8: All should he should take advantage of it. There's no
- 35:33Speaker 8: attached going with it.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Wouldn't you rather and just look at it like this?
- 35:37Speaker 1: Wouldn't you rather be the guy that one instead of
- 35:42Speaker 1: the guy that was settled for?
- 35:45Speaker 2: If she's outdating other men.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Now that she's seen what's out there and she realizes
- 35:51Speaker 1: she wants you, wouldn't you feel better about the fact
- 35:54Speaker 1: that you won, as opposed to her just saying well,
- 35:58Speaker 1: let me just settle with him because we met college
- 36:00Speaker 1: and this is what's supposed to be.
- 36:02Speaker 8: No, I would tell there's too late.
- 36:04Speaker 6: There, there's a good thing moved on. I would right
- 36:06Speaker 6: now if I with him might be cooking up with everybody.
- 36:09Speaker 8: And then now her feeling hurt as.
- 36:13Speaker 6: Much as his dude, because I still for that little man.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Oh, get out of here.
- 36:17Speaker 1: It's not always a negative thing, you know. Let her
- 36:21Speaker 1: go out and see what's out there. When she comes
- 36:24Speaker 1: back to you, that means you won.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Right If she.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Doesn't, then was it really gonna work out anyways? That's
- 36:30Speaker 1: such how you got to look at it already? Four two, five,
- 36:32Speaker 1: four or seven to seven? Have you ever dated more
- 36:35Speaker 1: than one person at the time and they knew about it?
- 36:37Speaker 2: Hey, Edward, man, he.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Needs to just go and have some fun too. If
- 36:42Speaker 3: she wants to go out a little fun, go out
- 36:44Speaker 3: some fun too, because now you never know, he might
- 36:46Speaker 3: find something that he like even better. Yeah, look, can
- 36:49Speaker 3: go both ways, you know, what I mean, and then
- 36:51Speaker 3: when she come back, you're gonna have a new one.
- 36:53Speaker 3: And then she'd be like, man, I really messed up.
- 36:55Speaker 2: So I mean, I mean, you never know, you never
- 36:58Speaker 2: know what's gonna happen.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you if you already put that out there, usually
- 37:02Speaker 3: gotta go with it and go enjoy it too. And
- 37:04Speaker 3: if it's meant to be, it's meant to be, it
- 37:06Speaker 3: not oh wow, you know what I mean. Life moves on.
- 37:09Speaker 3: You ain't gonna die. I don't know, There'll be a
- 37:12Speaker 3: whole nother love in there.
- 37:13Speaker 5: I mean, just you know what I mean, once they
- 37:15Speaker 5: put anybody puts that out there, and.
- 37:17Speaker 3: You you just gotta go with it because you always
- 37:19Speaker 3: gonna have that in your mind that she is she
- 37:20Speaker 3: messing around now because I didn't give her that opportunity. Yeah,
- 37:23Speaker 3: you know, I mean, just do the damn thing, you
- 37:25Speaker 3: know what I mean, you'd be.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Good, all right, all right.
- 37:28Speaker 2: All right, already for the seven That whole meant to
- 37:33Speaker 2: be thing is something to me.
- 37:35Speaker 1: I don't I question that whole if it's meant to
- 37:37Speaker 1: be right, if it's meant to be, don't you have
- 37:40Speaker 1: to you think there's.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Some sort of.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Cosmic cupid that puts you together because it was meant
- 37:50Speaker 1: to be, or do you really have to work it
- 37:52Speaker 1: getting what you want?
- 37:53Speaker 2: I don't know anyway, Would you send me here? All right?
- 37:56Speaker 1: Ay? Forteven to seven yr rom anonymou please?
- 38:02Speaker 5: Well?
- 38:02Speaker 2: I don't know, okay anonymous.
- 38:06Speaker 1: With you As a mother of a daughter in the
- 38:08Speaker 1: same situation, I advise her that it's a risk that
- 38:11Speaker 1: she needs to take so she won't wonder about what
- 38:14Speaker 1: she might have missed out on. It can solidify and
- 38:19Speaker 1: make her happier and more peaceful. She wonders if her
- 38:22Speaker 1: long term boyfriend will be able to handle it, and
- 38:25Speaker 1: I just I just say to her that she can't
- 38:29Speaker 1: control that and has to do what is right for herself.
- 38:34Speaker 2: So she won't have a resentment or regret later.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point. I think you're right. I
- 38:44Speaker 1: think you're right already. Four two pac four seven and seven.
- 38:48Speaker 1: So a friend of mine, his kid has been dating
- 38:51Speaker 1: this woman exclusively. They're both in college. Actually they just
- 38:53Speaker 1: graduated from Presno State. He came back to Bakersville. She
- 38:57Speaker 1: still lives in Fresno, but they've been doing and exclusively.
- 39:00Speaker 1: She came and told him that she doesn't want to
- 39:04Speaker 1: be exclusive anymore. She doesn't not want to date him,
- 39:06Speaker 1: but she wants to Obviously, it sounds to me like
- 39:08Speaker 1: she wants to go out and see what else is
- 39:10Speaker 1: out there, right because now she's in the world, real world,
- 39:12Speaker 1: probably gonna make a little money, be a little bit
- 39:14Speaker 1: more independent than she was, even though college is pretty independent.
- 39:18Speaker 1: But wanting to see what's out there. These are little
- 39:21Speaker 1: indus feelings about it. Doesn't know how to take it right, but.
- 39:24Speaker 2: There's no reason to be wouldn't don't you want?
- 39:27Speaker 1: This is the problem with a lot of you men
- 39:29Speaker 1: out there, because you're so insecure with yourselves, you don't
- 39:32Speaker 1: want you. You don't see the fact that you want
- 39:35Speaker 1: the woman who's done everything or enough to satisfy whatever
- 39:39Speaker 1: curiosity she has, so that when she chooses you, she
- 39:44Speaker 1: chooses you because she wants you, not for any other reason.
- 39:47Speaker 1: That relationship is going to be solid, okay, and you're
- 39:51Speaker 1: gonna be treated better in the relationship because she chose
- 39:54Speaker 1: you because she wanted you, not for any other you know, curiosity,
- 39:59Speaker 1: or she's not gonna have any doubts about what her
- 40:01Speaker 1: decision was. And that's what you really want already four two,
- 40:04Speaker 1: four or seven and seven, and this kid has the
- 40:07Speaker 1: opportunity for that. Right now, let her go out and
- 40:10Speaker 1: take her shot and see what happens. How what's going on?
- 40:14Speaker 5: Yeah, hearing is about you said, it's fine it by
- 40:18Speaker 5: if he lets it, you.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Know, move on, the thing's gonna happen. It's just always
- 40:22Speaker 4: gonna be telling better.
- 40:25Speaker 2: But here's my point about this.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Okay, And you may be right, there may be somebody better,
- 40:30Speaker 1: but how much better is a degree?
- 40:32Speaker 2: My only point is what if there's not? What if
- 40:36Speaker 2: what if she goes out.
- 40:37Speaker 1: There and she dates a couple of times or dates
- 40:39Speaker 1: and finds out six months later that this is the
- 40:42Speaker 1: best guy that she can get or that she wants. Okay,
- 40:45Speaker 1: let's just say then it's a better relationship long term.
- 40:50Speaker 9: Then if she quote unquote settles without knowing what else
- 40:54Speaker 9: was out there, And on the flip side of that,
- 40:56Speaker 9: if she finds somebody better, then isn't that better to know?
- 41:01Speaker 2: Also, it's a win win for him for him, it's
- 41:04Speaker 2: just a win win.
- 41:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I get what you're saying. But at the end
- 41:08Speaker 5: of the day, you know women and they always find
- 41:10Speaker 5: somebody better. There's always going to be that better persona guy,
- 41:13Speaker 5: right and yeah, and I feel like in today's society, right,
- 41:17Speaker 5: it's kind of like, you know, it's kind of let
- 41:21Speaker 5: me ask.
- 41:21Speaker 2: You this question. Do you think there's somebody better than
- 41:23Speaker 2: you out there? For what reason? Give me one reason
- 41:27Speaker 2: why there's somebody better.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Than you out there, because there's always somebody better than anything.
- 41:32Speaker 2: No, Well, it depends on the woman that you're dealing with.
- 41:36Speaker 2: That's my point.
- 41:37Speaker 1: If there's a woman out there that says, you know what,
- 41:40Speaker 1: this guy, I like this guy, and is he the
- 41:43Speaker 1: best I can get?
- 41:45Speaker 2: No, but he's the one I want.
- 41:48Speaker 1: So those when you look at those things, wouldn't you
- 41:50Speaker 1: rather know that than be with some woman who goes,
- 41:54Speaker 1: you know what, we met in college, we met in
- 41:56Speaker 1: high school, gosh, what did I miss out on?
- 41:58Speaker 2: Oh I saw this thing on TV? Or this guy
- 42:00Speaker 2: was over here doing that now and my friends are
- 42:03Speaker 2: doing this, and then then they start to question, you
- 42:06Speaker 2: know what they're missing out on? Now, whether that.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Changes your relationship or not, But still, wouldn't you rather
- 42:11Speaker 1: have the person by your side that's like, no, this
- 42:14Speaker 1: is the one I want, This is the this is
- 42:17Speaker 1: the person I want. Right, and you you've made all
- 42:19Speaker 1: your decisions and you've experienced your experiences.
- 42:23Speaker 2: And life is great now because you're with the one
- 42:27Speaker 2: that you want.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Yeah. I definitely think she's approaching the right way.
- 42:31Speaker 2: You know, for now, you know, and go ahead, go ahead?
- 42:34Speaker 6: Sorry, Yeah, you should approach it because she's doing it.
- 42:38Speaker 5: You know, you're doing it being on it. Yeah, Hey, look,
- 42:41Speaker 5: instead just keep going and cheating on him in the future.
- 42:43Speaker 5: I get what you're saying.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Yeah, she's just being honest about it. She didn't say
- 42:46Speaker 1: he couldn't date anymore. She's just being on now. Whatever
- 42:49Speaker 1: he does is whatever he does. Maybe he goes some
- 42:51Speaker 1: woman snatches him up. You know, you don't know, but
- 42:54Speaker 1: she's willing to take that risk. You should be willing
- 42:56Speaker 1: to take that risk. Insecure people are the ones that
- 43:00Speaker 1: are calling, like Greater Dave, calling because he's an insecure
- 43:02Speaker 1: little girl. He's crying, he's over he's over here saying, oh,
- 43:06Speaker 1: you can't do this, you can't know. A secure person
- 43:09Speaker 1: will go, Okay, take your shot.
- 43:10Speaker 2: I know what kind of man I am. I know
- 43:11Speaker 2: what kind of woman I am. Take your shot later minute.
- 43:21Speaker 2: But that's what I'm saying. If you're not confident in yourself,
- 43:25Speaker 2: how can you be confident in a relationship. Take your shot,
- 43:30Speaker 2: see what happens. You know, That's all I'm saying. But
- 43:34Speaker 2: I know you guys are young, You're dumb, you're insecure,
- 43:36Speaker 2: you're emotional. I get it.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Let's see here, Hey, Rome, it's a double edged sword.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Who's to say he gonna take her back? Or if
- 43:45Speaker 1: he develops some sex habits. Sounds like she wants to
- 43:49Speaker 1: have her fun and keep him on deck. I would say,
- 43:53Speaker 1: keep keep hitting that, but have your fun fisting around
- 43:58Speaker 1: as long as they both come about having sex with
- 44:01Speaker 1: other people.
- 44:02Speaker 2: If they end up together, well I.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Mean yeah, yeah, sure, all right, Rome, it might bite
- 44:11Speaker 1: her in the butt. He might find a woman better
- 44:14Speaker 1: than her. He might not want to be with.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Her at the end. Well, I mean sure, I mean
- 44:18Speaker 2: it's all possible.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Right, But if you're if you're young, and you just
- 44:24Speaker 1: you just got out of school, and you know you,
- 44:27Speaker 1: what are you gonna do?
- 44:27Speaker 2: You want to see what's out there, don't you? I mean, if,
- 44:31Speaker 2: as Rubin said, if it's meant to be, they'll end
- 44:33Speaker 2: up together. If not, you know, okay is what it is? Right, Hey, Roam.
- 44:39Speaker 1: If she comes back, you don't think that's settling because
- 44:43Speaker 1: there's something in her that wants more or should or
- 44:47Speaker 1: should would stay or she would stay. So she goes
- 44:51Speaker 1: out finds out if there's nothing better, to let him go?
- 44:55Speaker 1: Nothing better, so let me go back and settle. Is
- 44:59Speaker 1: it settling? I don't know if it's settling or not.
- 45:04Speaker 1: It's not like, uh, it's yeah, it's not settling. If
- 45:13Speaker 1: she they've been dating for a while. He's a good guy,
- 45:15Speaker 1: he's college graduate. I mean, he's gonna you know, he's
- 45:18Speaker 1: not some loser. So I think I think settling is
- 45:22Speaker 1: settling for some loser seeing what else is out there
- 45:27Speaker 1: when you're starting a new phase of your life, especially
- 45:29Speaker 1: you know, when you graduate from college and you're starting
- 45:31Speaker 1: a new phase of your life. Then is it settling
- 45:34Speaker 1: or is just seeing what your options are?
- 45:37Speaker 2: I don't know. And and he needs to go see
- 45:40Speaker 2: what his options are as well, So I just don't. Uh,
- 45:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 45:45Speaker 1: I don't think it's settling. You know what, what Isn't
- 45:50Speaker 1: that what dating is to find out? I think you
- 45:54Speaker 1: guys have a misconception of what dating is. You're dating
- 45:59Speaker 1: to find for the most part, Aren't you dating to
- 46:02Speaker 1: find somebody that you want to settle down with? Someone
- 46:05Speaker 1: that you can fall in love with someone that can
- 46:06Speaker 1: take care of you in the ways that you want
- 46:08Speaker 1: to be taken care of somebody that you know. So
- 46:14Speaker 1: you can't do that if you're only dating one person.
- 46:17Speaker 1: I don't think there's not anything wrong with going out
- 46:21Speaker 1: and seeing what's happened. You know, if they've been in
- 46:23Speaker 1: a long term relationship through college, now this is a
- 46:25Speaker 1: new chapter. Who knows what's going to happen. You know,
- 46:29Speaker 1: he may not even she may not want to leave Fresno.
- 46:31Speaker 1: He may not want to leave Bakersfield.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Then what do you do?
- 46:34Speaker 1: You know, then they're not they're not a good fit
- 46:36Speaker 1: because they don't want to live in the They both
- 46:38Speaker 1: want to live in a different town.
- 46:40Speaker 2: I think, Yeah, I don't know.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Good question though. Hey, Rome, it's called a whole phase.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Guys and girls both want that phase. But everyone remembers
- 46:52Speaker 1: what you do, Okay, Rome. They got to go through
- 46:58Speaker 1: the whole phase, man, Dude, men do too, otherwise you're
- 47:02Speaker 1: gonna be seeing your single friends being hoes and wanting
- 47:05Speaker 1: to take part. Got to kill the curiosity before settling down.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I mean there's some validity to that. I mean, look
- 47:13Speaker 1: at all of these uh, look at all of these women,
- 47:17Speaker 1: older women now who are running around Bakersfield in that
- 47:20Speaker 1: hoe phase after their marriages didn't work out or after
- 47:24Speaker 1: their relationships you know, well, their marriages didn't work out
- 47:28Speaker 1: and they got married too soon, and now.
- 47:29Speaker 2: They're out, you know. No, I don't know. I don't
- 47:32Speaker 2: know if that's what it is.
- 47:34Speaker 1: I mean, if you went through a whole phase in
- 47:36Speaker 1: your twenties, got married in your thirties, divorced, you know,
- 47:39Speaker 1: divorced in your forties, and now you're back in the
- 47:41Speaker 1: hole phase you started all over again.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Is that how that works?
- 47:44Speaker 1: A friend of mine, his kid, has been dating this
- 47:46Speaker 1: woman exclusively. They were both in college. Actually they just
- 47:49Speaker 1: graduated from Presno State. He came back to Bakersfield. She
- 47:52Speaker 1: still lives in Fresno, but they've been dating exclusively. She
- 47:56Speaker 1: came and told them that she doesn't want to be
- 47:59Speaker 1: exclusive anymore. She doesn't not want to date him, but
- 48:01Speaker 1: she wants to Obviously, it sounds to me like she
- 48:04Speaker 1: wants to go out and see what else is out there,
- 48:06Speaker 1: right because now she's in the world, real world, probably
- 48:08Speaker 1: gonna make a little money, be a little bit more
- 48:10Speaker 1: independent than she was, even though college is pretty independent.
- 48:14Speaker 1: But wanting to see what's out there. There's a little
- 48:16Speaker 1: indus feelings about it. Doesn't know how to take it right, But.
- 48:20Speaker 2: There's no reason to be wouldn't don't you want?
- 48:23Speaker 1: This is the problem with a lot of you men
- 48:24Speaker 1: out there, because you're so insecure with yourselves, you don't
- 48:28Speaker 1: want you. You don't see the fact that you want
- 48:30Speaker 1: the woman who's done everything or enough to satisfy whatever
- 48:35Speaker 1: curiosity she has, so that when she chooses you, she
- 48:39Speaker 1: chooses you because she wants you, not for any other reason.
- 48:42Speaker 2: That relationship is going to be solid, okay, and you're.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Gonna be treated better in the relationship because she chose
- 48:49Speaker 1: you because she wanted you, not for any other you know, curiosity,
- 48:54Speaker 1: or she's not gonna have any doubts about what her
- 48:57Speaker 1: decision was. And that's what you really want. Two five,
- 49:00Speaker 1: four or seven and seven. And this kid has the
- 49:02Speaker 1: opportunity for that right now. Let her go out and
- 49:05Speaker 1: take her shot and see what happens.
- 49:08Speaker 2: It's going on, you know what what I meant?
- 49:11Speaker 3: So the girl wants to date him and other people, right,
- 49:16Speaker 3: other guys right.
- 49:17Speaker 1: Well, the way I understand it is they've been dating
- 49:19Speaker 1: exclusively for a year they both graduated college, and now
- 49:22Speaker 1: she wants to date.
- 49:24Speaker 2: She doesn't want to date exclusively. She doesn't know, she
- 49:26Speaker 2: doesn't want to stop dating him. She just doesn't want
- 49:29Speaker 2: to date exclusively right now.
- 49:33Speaker 8: So she wants her changes.
- 49:34Speaker 3: She will feed it too.
- 49:36Speaker 8: I mean, let's hurt's let's Richard John wrong. You're pretty smart, right,
- 49:40Speaker 8: you know, so let's make the down now. Okay, So
- 49:44Speaker 8: she lives, she lives her friends though. Yeah, he lives
- 49:47Speaker 8: in Maker though. Okay, so that doesn't you know, that
- 49:51Speaker 8: doesn't scream, Hey I found somebody else.
- 49:54Speaker 3: But I'm not one hundred.
- 49:55Speaker 8: Percent sure, So let me keep you on the back,
- 49:57Speaker 8: crinner just the case. Come on, come on, you're smart,
- 50:03Speaker 8: you're smart, come on.
- 50:04Speaker 2: I'm just I'm just looking at it differently, differently than
- 50:07Speaker 2: you are. I'm looking at it as I would rather have.
- 50:11Speaker 1: I would rather have a woman know that she wants me,
- 50:17Speaker 1: versus not seeing what else is out there and kind
- 50:20Speaker 1: of settling with me.
- 50:22Speaker 2: That's that's the perspective that I look at us. Okay,
- 50:26Speaker 2: she you could say she wants her cake and eat
- 50:28Speaker 2: it too.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I would look at it. Go take your shot, see
- 50:31Speaker 1: what else is out there? Okay, go ahead, I'm so
- 50:33Speaker 1: confident in me that if you if you won't come back.
- 50:37Speaker 2: I'm not worried about me.
- 50:39Speaker 3: I'll be thought.
- 50:40Speaker 2: That's the way I'm looking at it.
- 50:42Speaker 1: So in that same turn, though, what you guys are
- 50:45Speaker 1: looking at is what if somebody What if somebody comes
- 50:48Speaker 1: along while she's out trying to figure it.
- 50:49Speaker 2: Out and then she tries to come back and I'm
- 50:51Speaker 2: not available? That's what you guys.
- 50:55Speaker 3: I hope he's not waiting and does she not know what? Baker? Maybe,
- 51:01Speaker 3: especially for a single man, but.
- 51:03Speaker 1: You, but wouldn't you rather My only point is this, though,
- 51:06Speaker 1: wouldn't you rather have everything out of your system and
- 51:12Speaker 1: then go, you know what?
- 51:13Speaker 2: Gosh, this is the person for me. I've done this,
- 51:16Speaker 2: I've done that. I've been here, I've been there. This
- 51:19Speaker 2: is where I want to be. That is gonna You're
- 51:21Speaker 2: gonna have a.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Much better relationship with a person that feels like that
- 51:25Speaker 1: than if they have questions or doubts in their mind,
- 51:28Speaker 1: like they miss something.
- 51:29Speaker 3: Dude, I totally agree.
- 51:30Speaker 8: I told myself in my twenties I was wild and
- 51:32Speaker 8: I'm traveling.
- 51:33Speaker 3: I'm being a whore. I'm doing everything you know I
- 51:36Speaker 3: said in my thirties. This is when I want to,
- 51:38Speaker 3: you know, get settled. I'll get married.
- 51:40Speaker 8: I had a kid, sure, got married at thirty one
- 51:42Speaker 8: and had a baby at thirty three.
- 51:44Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 51:45Speaker 8: So, yeah, that does make But I mean, come on,
- 51:48Speaker 8: date other people.
- 51:51Speaker 2: You're because you guys are all insecure and you're equating
- 51:53Speaker 2: dating other people having sex people people.
- 51:57Speaker 1: But you guys are equating dating other people having sex
- 51:59Speaker 1: with other people, and that is not necessarily.
- 52:02Speaker 2: They can be different. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.
- 52:06Speaker 8: It comes with it, though none.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Alright, a man, Yeah, I get out, I gotta go,
- 52:12Speaker 2: get out here. It's out at the four point one.
- 52:14Speaker 1: That's Romeo, And yeah, I just uh, hey, rome what
- 52:17Speaker 1: would happen if I tell my wife wife that you've
- 52:20Speaker 1: already you've chosen your person, settle down anyway already fourteen five,
- 52:23Speaker 1: four or seven?
- 52:25Speaker 3: Hey, what's up?
- 52:26Speaker 1: Roo?
- 52:27Speaker 3: Rome on my guy to say he was the girl
- 52:29Speaker 3: wants to take and eat it too and all that,
- 52:32Speaker 3: But the thing is here to be the dumbest and
- 52:33Speaker 3: not to enjoy his take on the side and need
- 52:35Speaker 3: it too when he goes up to Fresnom visitors. Okay,
- 52:39Speaker 3: you know what I mean, like, if she's ready putting
- 52:40Speaker 3: it out there, he said, oh, well, there might be
- 52:42Speaker 3: somebody else. Well, well there ain't nobody else. If there
- 52:45Speaker 3: isn't and she's trying to find somebody, then let her
- 52:47Speaker 3: go do it, because it's not she's gonna cheat on
- 52:49Speaker 3: you and find somebody else. So why is everybody so
- 52:53Speaker 3: caught up at their feelings and everything's scared that Oh
- 52:55Speaker 3: my god, it's like the only girl in the world.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, she might not ever come back, and
- 52:59Speaker 3: I'll never see one in my life again, you know
- 53:02Speaker 3: what I mean. Like, dude, get over yourselves already. There's
- 53:04Speaker 3: women out there too. I guarantee you as soon as
- 53:07Speaker 3: you start talking to another girl or guy, you'll forget
- 53:10Speaker 3: about that one too. All right, man, enjoy it like
- 53:13Speaker 3: you know, I mean, both of you guys. Enjoy it.
- 53:15Speaker 3: You guys go out of town. You got a little
- 53:17Speaker 3: you know what I mean, one night or two night
- 53:18Speaker 3: or whatever you want to call it, and at least
- 53:20Speaker 3: she'd be straight up with him.
- 53:21Speaker 8: Bro.
- 53:22Speaker 3: Yeah, at the end of the day, at least she's
- 53:24Speaker 3: being straight up. She's telling me, yeah, this is what
- 53:26Speaker 3: I want. I'll have to hook up with you. But
- 53:29Speaker 3: I want to be able to go out and meet
- 53:30Speaker 3: other people, you know what I mean, Like.
- 53:31Speaker 8: Sure, it's an open game for both of them.
- 53:34Speaker 3: Though, I mean, these foods are crying and calling and
- 53:36Speaker 3: crying and all that. Get over yourself, sucker, all right.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I do want to say this, though, I don't know
- 53:44Speaker 1: where I was over the weekend. I was having a
- 53:48Speaker 1: conversation with somebody, maybe it was yesterday, with some friends
- 53:52Speaker 1: of mine, about and they made that comment have your cake.
- 53:55Speaker 1: You can't have your cake and eat it too. That
- 53:57Speaker 1: is the stupidest thing I've ever heard, not from her,
- 54:01Speaker 1: just in general. Because what was the conversation about. I'm
- 54:06Speaker 1: trying to remember. Oh, it was about that ozembic the
- 54:12Speaker 1: I guess there's there was an article I read about.
- 54:15Speaker 1: I guess these shots, these weight loss shots, are leading
- 54:19Speaker 1: people to be less, you know, obviously less food, less alcohol,
- 54:23Speaker 1: and they're losing their sex drive.
- 54:27Speaker 2: So it was and I think a guy called it.
- 54:29Speaker 2: He said that his wife was on it and she's
- 54:32Speaker 2: hotter now.
- 54:33Speaker 1: She's gotten thinner again and hotter again, but she doesn't
- 54:35Speaker 1: want to have sex with him. I think that happened
- 54:36Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago.
- 54:38Speaker 2: And my friend goes well, you can't have your cake
- 54:40Speaker 2: and eat it too? And I thought, why not?
- 54:43Speaker 1: Who came up with that statement? And I was and
- 54:48Speaker 1: Reuben just said it right now? Or whoever just said it?
- 54:50Speaker 1: You know, why can't you have your cake and eat
- 54:52Speaker 1: it too?
- 54:52Speaker 5: What?
- 54:53Speaker 1: What is the I don't understand the logic behind that?
- 54:58Speaker 1: To me, that's a ridiculous to me, you know if yeah,
- 55:03Speaker 1: I don't understand that one. That one I can't figure out. Wow,
- 55:07Speaker 1: who came up with that? Some negative nelly who you know,
- 55:10Speaker 1: I can't ever get what he wants? And so had
- 55:12Speaker 1: to make that to make himself feel better. He had
- 55:15Speaker 1: to come up with a statement, you can't have your
- 55:16Speaker 1: cake you eat it too? Why not just because you
- 55:19Speaker 1: don't ever get what There's a lot of people out
- 55:21Speaker 1: there that have their cake and they eat it.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Happens all the time.
- 55:26Speaker 3: What rub what's up?
- 55:28Speaker 4: Brother?
- 55:29Speaker 5: Hey?
- 55:29Speaker 3: Just your homeboy. Let him know. I'm going to preside
- 55:32Speaker 3: right down.
- 55:32Speaker 5: Give me a had just said, I'll look you make
- 55:34Speaker 5: sure she's not cheating.
- 55:40Speaker 2: She's how is it cheating? When she said I want
- 55:43Speaker 2: to see other people? How is that cheating?
- 55:49Speaker 3: Well? To him? To him, he's all in love. So yeah,
- 55:53Speaker 3: of course, it's gonna be cheating because he still loves
- 55:55Speaker 3: her and she doesn't lift it for someone else.
- 55:57Speaker 2: She already done, already left him. Man, one more, one more,
- 56:03Speaker 2: thank you.
- 56:04Speaker 7: There ain't nothing wrong with having your cake with your
- 56:06Speaker 7: eyes creamed.
- 56:07Speaker 3: With the pop and some of that.
- 56:10Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying to me when people say that,
- 56:12Speaker 1: it just sounds so ridiculous to say, well you can't.
- 56:16Speaker 2: That's just the justification because you you're not good enough
- 56:20Speaker 2: to have it all. That's that's on you, not on
- 56:23Speaker 2: That's just a ridiculous statement. I've always thought that was
- 56:25Speaker 2: a ridiculous statement.
- 56:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it is, bro the wonder saying it. Man, good
- 56:30Speaker 3: luck a little bit more, get.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Hey, good morning Rome, uh marine lair lou people layer,
- 56:44Speaker 1: what checking in.
- 56:46Speaker 2: It's about having fun.
- 56:48Speaker 1: If she wants to go out and sleep with other
- 56:50Speaker 1: people and he's sleeping other females, nothing wrong with that
- 56:54Speaker 1: as long as they let each other know. The last
- 56:57Speaker 1: thing you want is problems over a female line about
- 57:00Speaker 1: her relationship status. Yeah, I mean that's I don't I
- 57:04Speaker 1: think you might be right about that. You might be
- 57:06Speaker 1: right about that, all right.
- 57:10Speaker 2: You know, we were just talking about mega nutrition and
- 57:12Speaker 2: what they're doing on a Saturday. The deadlift? What is
- 57:15Speaker 2: a deadlift?
- 57:16Speaker 1: What did I?
- 57:16Speaker 5: Uh?
- 57:18Speaker 2: I just put it away? The deadlift?
- 57:23Speaker 3: Is it?
- 57:23Speaker 6: Was?
- 57:24Speaker 2: It dead It was deadlift? Right? Hold on, hold on,
- 57:27Speaker 2: let me see so I can. I know I just
- 57:29Speaker 2: told you about it, but now I gotta find it again.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Oh, the deadlift competition, right, and it's going on June
- 57:35Speaker 1: sixth over at Heavy Iron Training Facility.
- 57:38Speaker 2: That's in Uh. What was the address? I forgot what
- 57:42Speaker 2: the address was. Hold on, let me tell you the
- 57:43Speaker 2: address again.
- 57:45Speaker 1: I closed the information. Oh, four to five East nineteenth Street. Okay,
- 57:50Speaker 1: I somebody needs to let me know. Maybe Josh or
- 57:54Speaker 1: or whoever Mecca, Josh or Cody over at Mecca could
- 57:57Speaker 1: let me know?
- 57:58Speaker 2: Text me?
- 58:00Speaker 1: And then when did the deadlift become the standard by
- 58:04Speaker 1: which we judge meatheads?
- 58:06Speaker 2: What happened to how much can you bench press? Or
- 58:10Speaker 2: how much can you curl? When?
- 58:12Speaker 5: When?
- 58:12Speaker 1: When did it go to the deadlift? I don't remember
- 58:15Speaker 1: the dead I mean it just dead lifting, don't get
- 58:19Speaker 1: me wrong. Is very difficult for some people. And some
- 58:25Speaker 1: of these guys and girls deadlift amazing amounts away. But
- 58:30Speaker 1: your legs are stronger than your arms or your chest.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Right is that not true. It seems like of all three,
- 58:39Speaker 1: if we're gonna if we're gonna judge meatheads by either curls,
- 58:43Speaker 1: chest press or deadlift, deadlift seems like the easier of
- 58:47Speaker 1: all of them. And I may be wrong about that,
- 58:51Speaker 1: But when did Uh? Yeah, I remember when it was
- 58:54Speaker 1: how much can you bench? How much can you curl?
- 58:56Speaker 1: How many pull ups can you do? That was how
- 58:58Speaker 1: we judge meatheads. Now it seems like these millennials have
- 59:02Speaker 1: gotten so soft.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Now we judge them by deadlift? All right?
- 59:05Speaker 1: Eight fourteen five four seven to seven a real rome.
- 59:09Speaker 1: I used to judge meatheads by. When I used to
- 59:11Speaker 1: run into them at the gas station, they'd be getting
- 59:14Speaker 1: out of a little car that belonged to their girlfriend
- 59:17Speaker 1: h or mom o.
- 59:21Speaker 2: I not at all. What I'm talking about.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Did When did that become the standard? Is what I'm
- 59:26Speaker 1: trying to figure out. When did the standard become deadlifting?
- 59:30Speaker 2: Remember the back of the day, when you were you know,
- 59:33Speaker 2: how much you bench? That was always the how much
- 59:35Speaker 2: you bench?
- 59:36Speaker 1: How much?
- 59:37Speaker 2: How many pull ups can you do?
- 59:38Speaker 1: That was the legitimate standard at which we judged. You know,
- 59:44Speaker 1: meatheads or guys that work out are just men in general.
- 59:48Speaker 2: What do you bench? And now it's what do you deadlift?
- 59:52Speaker 2: Who changed that? Cause?
- 59:54Speaker 8: To me?
- 59:54Speaker 1: And you can tell me if I'm wrong. To me,
- 59:58Speaker 1: deadlifting is and to me, deadlifting is easier than bench pressing.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Right. So you talk about all these men.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Getting softer, you know, these millennials, these gen zs, they're
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: all a bunch of you know, with their skinny jeans
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: and they're so they've changed the standard. So but have
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: the meat the meat ads haven't gotten softer. I mean,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: they still work out right. And so I'm trying to
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: figure out when the when deadlifting became the standard? You
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, because it used to be how
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: much you bench? Or before that it was how many
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: pull ups can you do?
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Already new four seven to seven?
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I just I found that interesting when I saw that.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: And I've known before I even saw what Mecca's doing
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: on Saturday with the with the sponsoring the deadlift competition.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I was wondering that a few years ago, about when
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: deadlifting became the standard.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Make a sponsor and a hold on, let me.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Pull it up the flyer. Let me pull up the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: flyer real quick. So I can tell you what it is,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and we love Mecha Nutrition. Josh and the guys over
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: there do a great job at getting you taken care of.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: But whatever you're trying to do, gain weight, lose weight,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: lean out, whatever the case may be. Right. So this Saturday,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: June six, from eleven a three pm you can go
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: out to Heavy Iron Training Facility. They're doing a community
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: deadlift competition, which I was just curious And it's four
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: twenty five East nineteenth Street.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: When the deadlift? When did that become the standard?
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: You know?
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: That was to me the standard or.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: The competition was always the chest. How much do you bench?
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: How many pull ups can you do? How many push
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: ups can you do? Now it seems to be the
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: deadlift is the standard. Right when did that happen already?
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Four two, seven to seven?
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Hey, roam nah man?
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: When you would when you would run into a to
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: someone in the streets and he's like, you bench, bro,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: how much can you bench press? But if I had
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: to do it over, but you had to do it
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: over seven reps, if not go down ten pounds?
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: So is that still the standard? What's this?
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I always thought that Now in today it's the deadlift
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: is the standard by which we judge your manhood when
