- 0:20Speaker 1: The promoter.
- 0:21Ron Meyers: Hello, my friends, it is so good to be with you today.
- 0:24Ron Meyers: I'm excited about today's program the power of faith, the power of coming out of hiding.
- 0:32Ron Meyers: Did you ever play hide and seek as a child?
- 0:35Ron Meyers: Well, a lot of people are playing hide and seek right now in life.
- 0:38Ron Meyers: They're hiding from God.
- 0:39Ron Meyers: My guest was doing that in Spokane, Washington, but God was beginning to work in her life and then God told her to head to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
- 0:51Ron Meyers: Why would she come here?
- 0:52Ron Meyers: Well, she's going to tell you, but what a story she has.
- 0:56Ron Meyers: We have become friends and she is just very well loved in this community.
- 1:02Ron Meyers: Dallas, welcome to the studios and tell us about you coming to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
- 1:08Dallas Barbee Noel: This is exactly where God told us to come.
- 1:12Ron Meyers: So what is it, Dallas, that you are going to do here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast?
- 1:16Dallas Barbee Noel: Well, I have a pretty hard background but unfortunately it's very common how I grew up and what I've been through.
- 1:24Dallas Barbee Noel: But the difference is God really used my career to save my life and through that I'm a barber.
- 1:33Dallas Barbee Noel: I've owned and operated a barbershop in Spokane for the last number of years and through that, when I built it, I built it about me.
- 1:42Dallas Barbee Noel: I built it so I could make a name for myself, so I could make a legacy.
- 1:46Dallas Barbee Noel: But over the past couple of years God really broke that down and said I want to use this to help other people, not just to help you.
- 1:54Dallas Barbee Noel: And over the past couple of years he's really just ripped my heart apart and shown me that we can use whatever we do for work to change the trajectory of not only our lives but the lives of everyone around us.
- 2:09Ron Meyers: So, dallas, what was life like before you met God?
- 2:13Dallas Barbee Noel: That's the thing Everyone always wants to know.
- 2:15Dallas Barbee Noel: Well, what was it before God?
- 2:16Dallas Barbee Noel: There wasn't really a before God.
- 2:19Dallas Barbee Noel: He was always around.
- 2:20Dallas Barbee Noel: My past was more about what I really knew about him and meeting Jesus.
- 2:28Dallas Barbee Noel: Right, god was always involved.
- 2:30Dallas Barbee Noel: We were in and out of churches, I had praying grandparents, but that idea of the fear of God when I was growing up was a genuine fear.
- 2:41Dallas Barbee Noel: Like I was terrified of him.
- 2:43Dallas Barbee Noel: Because if we were showing up to church but then going home and the things that were happening behind closed doors was happening, how could God be good?
- 2:51Dallas Barbee Noel: It didn't make any sense.
- 2:53Dallas Barbee Noel: Abandonment is a huge thing.
- 2:55Dallas Barbee Noel: In my life I've been without my mother since about 18 months old and with my dad.
- 3:02Dallas Barbee Noel: So being, you know, separated or left from my mom and then growing up with a single dad for quite some time, that was pretty abusive.
- 3:12Dallas Barbee Noel: When I was growing up there again, was that like well, is the father really good Cause I didn't have any, you're talking about the heavenly father.
- 3:21Dallas Barbee Noel: I didn't have any visual of that in my real life, so I never thought of him as good.
- 3:26Dallas Barbee Noel: I thought of him as someone to be afraid of, like if you do something wrong, a lightning bolt will come down, you know, and I grew up with a very strong work ethic, so it was always about working for him.
- 3:39Dallas Barbee Noel: What can I do for him to stay out of trouble, to be good?
- 3:42Dallas Barbee Noel: Obviously, at some point that came to a shocking halt multiple times, just simply because we can't work for our salvation.
- 3:54Dallas Barbee Noel: We can't do that.
- 3:55Ron Meyers: Right, that's, it's called grace, isn't it?
- 3:57Ron Meyers: Amen, amen.
- 3:58Ron Meyers: So were you a party girl.
- 4:01Dallas Barbee Noel: I grew up in Helena, montana.
- 4:03Dallas Barbee Noel: I ended up in Spokane, washington.
- 4:05Dallas Barbee Noel: Because of how wild I was, it got to a point where my dad was on I believe his third wife and they, they just could not control me.
- 4:15Dallas Barbee Noel: I think I was just about to turn 16 and you know, drinking and smoking and having sex and running away, and I just was doing all the things I could do and at one point my dad looked at me and said you look just like her.
- 4:31Dallas Barbee Noel: He was talking about my biological mom.
- 4:34Dallas Barbee Noel: I was around the same age as her when they were really struggling.
- 4:39Ron Meyers: Was he?
- 4:39Ron Meyers: Did he mean that as a compliment or as a slap?
- 4:41Dallas Barbee Noel: Absolutely not, it was, it was he was heartbroken because to him it was like this is happening again.
- 4:46Dallas Barbee Noel: And I'm sure, looking back, that he felt at fault, like why can't I, I couldn't do it with your mom, and now I can't help you, I can't change you, I can't fix you.
- 4:57Dallas Barbee Noel: So there again was that God thought he can't fix me, so he'll leave me.
- 5:03Dallas Barbee Noel: And it just pounded it back into my brain.
- 5:07Dallas Barbee Noel: So I came to Spokane because that's where my biological mom was, and he dropped me off on her doorstep and said well, you've been through this and now you're clean and sober, so maybe you'll be able to help her.
- 5:18Dallas Barbee Noel: And I felt utterly betrayed.
- 5:22Ron Meyers: Now Dallas.
- 5:22Ron Meyers: I've got to know you a little bit and you have a very serving heart.
- 5:27Ron Meyers: It seems like you are always doing something for someone else.
- 5:31Dallas Barbee Noel: I mean at the end of the day this is always what I think about multiple times a day.
- 5:35Dallas Barbee Noel: I am saved to serve Christ and others bottom line.
- 5:39Dallas Barbee Noel: So what are the things that I can do on a daily basis to a show people who Jesus is and be, have the relational content with those same people to show them what he's done in my life?
- 5:53Dallas Barbee Noel: We have to build a relationship and I can do that at the barbershop.
- 5:56Ron Meyers: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 5:58Ron Meyers: I think of my story when I was young and I was troubled, you know, wild and drugs and all the kind of things you were doing.
- 6:05Ron Meyers: When I began to follow Jesus, 99% of my family never believed that I really had a conversion.
- 6:12Ron Meyers: Did you deal with that?
- 6:13Ron Meyers: Did they say, oh, there she goes again in one of those phases?
- 6:18Dallas Barbee Noel: To be honest, I'm not sure, because I never really put a lot of importance on that.
- 6:22Dallas Barbee Noel: I've always been that kind of girl that well, I don't care what anybody thinks, but inside I really did.
- 6:29Ron Meyers: And that is the point that I was getting to that there are people listening right now that they want to step over into the land of their destiny.
- 6:38Ron Meyers: They want to step over with God, but they're so worried about what others will say here's the best way that I can, I can think, to explain.
- 6:46Dallas Barbee Noel: It is when I was walking out the church life right, that stereotypical conversion type of story that was really hard.
- 6:54Dallas Barbee Noel: It was really hard and I fell away multiple times.
- 6:57Dallas Barbee Noel: The reason is because I didn't have a true, honest to goodness experience with Jesus.
- 7:03Dallas Barbee Noel: When that actually happened and I truly experienced him in my life and I met him, everything started to change.
- 7:10Ron Meyers: Tell us about that.
- 7:12Dallas Barbee Noel: Well, I my life got a lot harder very quickly when I met Jesus.
- 7:16Dallas Barbee Noel: But I had been working on my relationship with one of my sisters I'm the oldest of 13 and she was going to be preaching at this mega church in Spokane which I had, seven years prior, vowed to never walk into again.
- 7:29Dallas Barbee Noel: I just had my son.
- 7:31Dallas Barbee Noel: So I was still really struggling with some postpartum depression, a ton of anxiety, and I was drinking heavily to try to combat that.
- 7:39Dallas Barbee Noel: And I'd been walking with God, opening my Bible a little bit, turning on a little worship music here and there again, but nothing major.
- 7:47Dallas Barbee Noel: And anyway she invited me to service and I just went oh, I don't want to go.
- 7:53Dallas Barbee Noel: But long story short, I ended up.
- 7:56Dallas Barbee Noel: I made a commitment to her and that was part of my change in life.
- 7:59Dallas Barbee Noel: I have to say things and then follow through hard things.
- 8:03Dallas Barbee Noel: So I said I'd go.
- 8:06Dallas Barbee Noel: We were on the way there and I basically made one of those deals with God where I said you have to show up If I'm going to go in there.
- 8:13Dallas Barbee Noel: I know you can.
- 8:14Dallas Barbee Noel: I've read it in the Bible where people have said put the wool down, make it wet on top, dry on bottom.
- 8:19Dallas Barbee Noel: I need it again.
- 8:20Dallas Barbee Noel: I'm going to flip it over.
- 8:21Dallas Barbee Noel: I want it wet on bottom, dry on top.
- 8:23Dallas Barbee Noel: So I said, god, I know you can do this and it has to be for me, it has to be personal.
- 8:28Dallas Barbee Noel: I'm not just going to take a generalized sermon and say, yeah, that was for me, show up.
- 8:35Dallas Barbee Noel: So I mapped it out in my head.
- 8:37Dallas Barbee Noel: I went right to the front of the church this is a big church and my anxiety is through the roof.
- 8:40Dallas Barbee Noel: But I just wanted to focus on whoever was in front of me on the stage and nobody else.
- 8:48Dallas Barbee Noel: So worship begins and I felt free there in worship I could feel the Holy spirit.
- 8:53Dallas Barbee Noel: I knew I was safe and it was nice to feel the Holy spirit again.
- 8:58Dallas Barbee Noel: We do worship and it's the church where you shake hands and say hi to your neighbor and anxiety lady.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I hate that.
- 9:06Dallas Barbee Noel: And I feel a tap on my shoulder and, oh man, this woman, you're Dallas, aren't you?
- 9:10Dallas Barbee Noel: And I said, yeah, oh man, I need to talk to you at the end of service.
- 9:17Dallas Barbee Noel: So there I was for 45 minutes in peril.
- 9:21Dallas Barbee Noel: You know, just I probably hurt her or her son or someone she knows.
- 9:24Dallas Barbee Noel: We talked after service and this woman said she had met me 10 years prior and wasn't even from Spokane.
- 9:32Dallas Barbee Noel: She was on her way through and God stopped her on the freeway and told her to show up at that church.
- 9:36Dallas Barbee Noel: She didn't know why, but as soon as she heard me singing from four rows back, she knew that he had sent her there for me and she said Dallas, I know that you've been lost, but God sent me here to tell you that I still want to use your voice.
- 9:51Dallas Barbee Noel: You used to sing and it's going to be different, but he still wants to use your voice.
- 9:57Dallas Barbee Noel: If you would just give him back your life.
- 9:59Dallas Barbee Noel: And now here we are talking on a podcast.
- 10:02Dallas Barbee Noel: Right, it's my voice, it's just in a different way.
- 10:06Ron Meyers: So this lady hears you in church singing, so you're a singer.
- 10:09Ron Meyers: I didn't know that.
- 10:10Ron Meyers: Yeah yeah.
- 10:11Ron Meyers: Oh, we'll have to talk about that later.
- 10:13Ron Meyers: God stopped her on the highway and told her to get to that church to see you.
- 10:20Dallas Barbee Noel: It was pretty incredible.
- 10:21Dallas Barbee Noel: And after having, you know, made this deal with him in the car, if you want my life and you really want a relationship with me, not just go to church, dallas.
- 10:34Dallas Barbee Noel: Get your life together, dallas, because that's how it is, how it had always felt.
- 10:38Dallas Barbee Noel: No, I want a relationship with you, then show me that.
- 10:42Dallas Barbee Noel: Wow, prove it to me and make it personal.
- 10:45Dallas Barbee Noel: And boy did he make it personal.
- 10:47Dallas Barbee Noel: So I began to be part of this church life center and I got really involved.
- 10:54Dallas Barbee Noel: But if I'm completely honest, as I said before, most people go oh, christian, so ticket to the perfect life?
- 11:01Dallas Barbee Noel: Not true.
- 11:02Dallas Barbee Noel: And I wasn't at a place where I was fully surrendered.
- 11:08Dallas Barbee Noel: I thought I was, but I wasn't there yet, right?
- 11:12Dallas Barbee Noel: So I began to walk with him, opening up my Bible, studying a lot more, trying to really form a relationship with him by spending time with Jesus.
- 11:24Dallas Barbee Noel: But I was still drinking, I still had this anxiety, I still had severe depression.
- 11:28Dallas Barbee Noel: I didn't have an answer.
- 11:30Dallas Barbee Noel: There wasn't.
- 11:30Dallas Barbee Noel: You know, pray it away.
- 11:32Dallas Barbee Noel: That's not.
- 11:32Dallas Barbee Noel: That's not a thing.
- 11:34Dallas Barbee Noel: Mental health is a big deal, especially in this day and age, and it is a hidden, hidden thing.
- 11:39Dallas Barbee Noel: People don't want to talk about it.
- 11:40Dallas Barbee Noel: So I started to get real about that stuff In May.
- 11:44Dallas Barbee Noel: I'll be three years sober.
- 11:46Dallas Barbee Noel: So there was a day in May where we went to my in-laws house and just being around groups of people like that were very uncomfortable for me and I began to drink, drank there, went home after we had people over, drank there I'm.
- 12:01Dallas Barbee Noel: I don't even remember the night, but I'll tell you.
- 12:03Dallas Barbee Noel: The next morning I woke up and I pulled myself into the bathroom and I looked at my face in the mirror and I didn't know who she was and I just began to cry and to scream like audibly screaming out.
- 12:17Dallas Barbee Noel: I'd been walking back with the Lord for about two years now and I just said, god, if I wanted to kill myself, if I can't kill myself, you keep stopping me from doing it.
- 12:28Dallas Barbee Noel: I'm trying to drink myself to sleep, I'm trying to you know, pills, whatever.
- 12:33Dallas Barbee Noel: If I can't kill myself, you have to kill my flesh, because it's all I can think about my, my son, my husband, everyone.
- 12:40Dallas Barbee Noel: Would be so much better if I just wasn't here, if I wasn't a problem for all these people around me, like I'm doing what the world says God wants me to do, but it's not getting better.
- 12:52Dallas Barbee Noel: So the only thing I could think to say out loud was if I can't kill myself, then you have to kill my flesh.
- 12:58Dallas Barbee Noel: And it was so clear.
- 13:01Dallas Barbee Noel: He said your drinking isn't the problem, your problems are the problems.
- 13:06Dallas Barbee Noel: So you have to put that alcohol down so we can go there together.
- 13:10Dallas Barbee Noel: We'll never be able to go there if you won't stop numbing them.
- 13:13Ron Meyers: You know, dallas, you're talking to someone out there right now, listening A hundred percent.
- 13:17Ron Meyers: That is going through what you're going through.
- 13:19Ron Meyers: Yes, now you're like the lady that was on the interstate.
- 13:23Ron Meyers: He pulled you in here today to be on the mic to talk to the person that's listening.
- 13:27Dallas Barbee Noel: You know, I can only tell people what Jesus has done for me.
- 13:31Dallas Barbee Noel: Right, every person's situation is a little bit different, but at the end of the day, when I really sat down and thought about it, I said what is one good thing?
- 13:41Dallas Barbee Noel: Name one good thing that alcohol does in my life?
- 13:44Dallas Barbee Noel: One, and at first, when I was still very manipulative about it, right, this is always the response that I get when I'm having this conversation with people.
- 13:53Dallas Barbee Noel: Well, you know, it gives me a little bit of courage or it lubricates social situations.
- 14:00Dallas Barbee Noel: Why in the world would I want to pay for something to do that for me when I know that I can do that on my own?
- 14:10Dallas Barbee Noel: But it's going to take some work.
- 14:11Dallas Barbee Noel: It is hard to get sober and to stay sober.
- 14:15Dallas Barbee Noel: I promised God a year and now we're close to three and I won't lie, there's been mishaps in there.
- 14:21Dallas Barbee Noel: But I will tell you, I have sat in the last three years and everybody, everybody in this world, has had a hard time the last three years with everything that's gone on socially, politically, economically.
- 14:32Dallas Barbee Noel: But I have faced every single one of those things sober.
- 14:36Ron Meyers: I sense with you you don't really care what anybody thinks.
- 14:40Ron Meyers: And to compliment that, you're so transparent, you're so honest, and I think honesty is exactly what God wants nowadays.
- 14:48Ron Meyers: But a lot of people hide behind what they're doing, but they don't realize.
- 14:52Ron Meyers: God knows what you're doing, so why hide around?
- 14:53Dallas Barbee Noel: Just come on come let's be.
- 14:54Ron Meyers: God knows what you're doing.
- 14:54Ron Meyers: Yeah, 100%.
- 14:55Ron Meyers: Why hide around?
- 14:55Ron Meyers: Just come on, come, let's be honest, let's open up, let's have some dialogue.
- 14:58Ron Meyers: I try to tell people when you're really going into a problem and you really need God, the first thing you have to do is you've got to be honest, you've got to open up to God.
- 15:07Dallas Barbee Noel: He can't heal things that we are hiding.
- 15:09Dallas Barbee Noel: That's it.
- 15:11Dallas Barbee Noel: No, we can't.
- 15:12Dallas Barbee Noel: I mean, that's the thing I know.
- 15:13Dallas Barbee Noel: A lot of people see those scriptures in the Bible and they love to twist them up.
- 15:17Dallas Barbee Noel: Well, if God already knows my prayers, then why should I pray?
- 15:20Dallas Barbee Noel: Because this isn't about religion, this is about relationship.
- 15:24Dallas Barbee Noel: At the end of the day, if we're not willing to get in relationship with him, nothing will change.
- 15:30Dallas Barbee Noel: I promise you that.
- 15:32Ron Meyers: Della.
- 15:32Ron Meyers: Something happened at Christmas City.
- 15:34Ron Meyers: I heard a lady say oh my goodness, that's that lady from TikTok.
- 15:38Ron Meyers: Oh Lord Meaning you.
- 15:40Dallas Barbee Noel: You're pretty big on TikTok aren't you, I think, social media.
- 15:50Dallas Barbee Noel: I have like 130,000 followers on social media.
- 15:51Dallas Barbee Noel: Tiktok was a weird thing too.
- 15:52Dallas Barbee Noel: I during COVID, I had downloaded it and just thought, oh, there's funny videos on here.
- 15:56Dallas Barbee Noel: I didn't know anything about it and I found myself kind of using it to zone out, and I, you know, with alcohol, I noticed those behaviors and so I said, okay, God, delete this thing.
- 16:08Dallas Barbee Noel: And I did for a really long time and he called me back to it.
- 16:12Dallas Barbee Noel: He said I did want you on social media, but I want you on it for me, not for you.
- 16:19Ron Meyers: So you're using social media, especially TikTok, for your platform.
- 16:24Dallas Barbee Noel: Yeah, and I mean that's really all I do.
- 16:25Dallas Barbee Noel: When I started it was I don't, I don't pre-film, I don't do anything special.
- 16:32Dallas Barbee Noel: When the Holy Spirit sits on me and says I need you to share this, then I just turn it on you just do it.
- 16:37Dallas Barbee Noel: It's all raw and real.
- 16:39Dallas Barbee Noel: It's not.
- 16:39Dallas Barbee Noel: You know, I wish it could be prettier and cooler, but that's not what I'm called to do.
- 16:44Ron Meyers: Don't ever wish that.
- 16:45Ron Meyers: Because this younger generation, they just want somebody to be real and you're real.
- 16:51Ron Meyers: So tell us this you have a connection with young people.
- 16:54Ron Meyers: What's on the heart of the young people?
- 16:55Ron Meyers: What are some of the situations you're hearing through social media that people are going through?
- 17:01Dallas Barbee Noel: You would be shocked and really my audience is very strange on social media.
- 17:06Dallas Barbee Noel: You would think, because of the way that I look, the stuff that I deal with, the way that I speak, that it would be a younger generation, but it's really not.
- 17:13Dallas Barbee Noel: I have people from 18 to.
- 17:16Dallas Barbee Noel: There is a lady that is like one of my most hardcore followers and she's like 72 years old.
- 17:21Dallas Barbee Noel: So people can see their lives in what I'm talking about, because all of us are dealing with the same things.
- 17:28Ron Meyers: Listeners, you mentioned of what she looked like.
- 17:30Ron Meyers: First of all, she's just a beautiful lady.
- 17:31Ron Meyers: But I do have to ask you this Is there anywhere except your neck and face?
- 17:36Ron Meyers: On your body you don't have a tattoo.
- 17:40Dallas Barbee Noel: The one thing I've always said is that I won't ever get my stomach tattooed.
- 17:44Ron Meyers: but pretty much everywhere else has artwork we need to quit conforming to what the world wants and start becoming who God says we are.
- 17:52Ron Meyers: So are you who God says you are?
- 17:56Dallas Barbee Noel: I am progressing towards that every day.
- 17:58Dallas Barbee Noel: That's kind of the biggest thing that I try to remind myself and others.
- 18:02Dallas Barbee Noel: We are not perfect.
- 18:04Dallas Barbee Noel: There was only one perfect man.
- 18:06Dallas Barbee Noel: I will never be perfect, but if I'm progressing in my relationship with Jesus and allowing the Holy Spirit to move me and I'm not dragging him around, we're good.
- 18:17Ron Meyers: Well, we're almost out of time.
- 18:19Ron Meyers: How do people get to see some of those great videos on TikTok?
- 18:23Ron Meyers: How do they find you on TikTok?
- 18:24Dallas Barbee Noel: So TikTok and Instagram.
- 18:25Dallas Barbee Noel: My handle is the same, it's dallasthebarbernoel.
- 18:30Dallas Barbee Noel: You can find me on Instagram or Dallas dot the barber, dot Noelle.
- 18:36Dallas Barbee Noel: All right, Noelle like yeah, noelle is my, it's my middle name.
- 18:39Dallas Barbee Noel: Yeah, and oh yeah.
- 18:41Ron Meyers: Some encouragement right now to somebody out there listening that needs to get the hell out of their life.
- 18:47Ron Meyers: Yeah, what would you?
- 18:47Dallas Barbee Noel: tell them.
- 18:48Dallas Barbee Noel: You know, I know when you're struggling.
- 18:51Dallas Barbee Noel: When I was struggling, I wanted to hide all of it.
- 18:55Dallas Barbee Noel: I was so ashamed of all of it.
- 18:57Dallas Barbee Noel: But I can tell you and I will promise you that there are people that God has called to walk beside you.
- 19:05Dallas Barbee Noel: None of us were meant to do any of the stuff in life alone.
- 19:08Dallas Barbee Noel: If you look at Jesus, which he is the prime example, he had 12 amazing men around him all the time and they were a crazy bunch, and when they went out to do what they were called to do, they did it in pairs.
- 19:21Dallas Barbee Noel: We are supposed to do life together, and that means the ugly stuff and the amazing stuff.
- 19:26Dallas Barbee Noel: I promise that there is people that God has called to put directly into your life, to walk beside you.
- 19:32Dallas Barbee Noel: I know for me, our ministry at Surrendered Studios that's what we're doing.
- 19:37Dallas Barbee Noel: We're not just giving free haircuts and then saying good luck with your life.
- 19:41Dallas Barbee Noel: We are called to walk beside people who are still hurting, because I've been there.
- 19:46Dallas Barbee Noel: I know what it looks like and I am, through Christ, strong enough to go back into that junk with somebody else and I will sit there as long as it takes, until they're ready to jump out themselves.
- 19:59Ron Meyers: When I return.
- 20:00Ron Meyers: It's time to quit hiding from God.
- 20:04Speaker 1: You're listening to Get the Hell Out of your Life with your host, ron Myers.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Real stories, real struggles and real hope.
- 20:14Speaker 4: When God begins to draw us to Him, something really strange begins to happen.
- 20:19Speaker 4: We suddenly become completely aware of all the sin in our life.
- 20:23Speaker 4: My name is Mark and this is the Journey I want to encourage you today that, even though you may feel shame and guilt when you think about all the bad things you've done in your life, there is no need to try to hide from God.
- 20:35Speaker 4: He loves you and it's pointless anyway.
- 20:38Speaker 4: The Psalms tell us that God knew us before we were born, that he laid out all the days of our life.
- 20:44Speaker 4: In Psalm 139, david reminds us of God's perfect knowledge of man.
- 20:48Speaker 4: He says God knows our thoughts, the words we will speak, our comings and goings.
- 20:54Speaker 4: There is nowhere we can go to hide from him.
- 20:57Speaker 4: And yet comings and goings.
- 20:59Speaker 4: There is nowhere we can go to hide from him.
- 21:00Speaker 4: And yet, even though he knows everything we've ever done in our life or will do, he still loves us enough that he sent his only son, jesus, to die on a cross and pay the penalty for our sin so that we can be made clean and right with God.
- 21:12Speaker 4: It's only natural to feel guilty about our sin, but God loves us and he wants us to walk in the freedom he offers through a relationship with Jesus.
- 21:21Speaker 4: When you do, the guilt and the shame will eventually fade away.
- 21:25Speaker 4: So don't try to hide from God.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Instead, run to Him.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Here's today's refreshing word from Proverbs 3, verses 5-6.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
- 21:45Speaker 4: In all your ways, acknowledge Him and he shall direct your paths.
- 21:53Speaker 1: You're tired of how you're living.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Well, change it.
- 21:55Speaker 1: You don't like where you're headed.
- 22:19Ron Meyers: My friends.
- 22:19Ron Meyers: Hide and seek.
- 22:20Ron Meyers: Did you play that as a child?
- 22:22Ron Meyers: I did.
- 22:23Ron Meyers: I loved it.
- 22:24Ron Meyers: A lot of us are playing hide and seek right now.
- 22:26Ron Meyers: We're hiding from God, but we don't want anybody to seek us because we're just wallowing in our own self-pity and we're sitting on a pity pot thinking that, as Dallas said, that we'd be better off not here.
- 22:38Ron Meyers: That's not true.
- 22:39Ron Meyers: I want to encourage you today that God is desiring you to quit playing hide and seek.
- 22:46Ron Meyers: He has had his arms open for you since the day you were born.
- 22:50Ron Meyers: He wants his children to come back into the family, to come back home to him so he can help you, he can heal you and minister to you no more hiding.
- 23:02Ron Meyers: He knows everything that's going on and I know some of you feel shame and you feel condemnation, but there is no shame, there is no condemnation in Christ.
- 23:13Ron Meyers: He is total forgiveness, past, present, in the future.
- 23:18Ron Meyers: So today is the day for you to quit playing hide and seek.
- 23:21Ron Meyers: Walk into the arms of your heavenly father and let him just love the hell out of you.
- 23:27Ron Meyers: And this is what will happen.
- 23:30Ron Meyers: It happened to Dallas, it happened to me, it happened to all my guests.
- 23:34Ron Meyers: Once we unite with Jesus, there's a transformation.
- 23:39Ron Meyers: Our sins are gone, the guilt is gone, and then the process of growing and renewing our mind, turning into the person we were created to be, new desires, new hopes and optimism comes into your life.
- 23:52Ron Meyers: You don't know all the answers, but you have the confidence and the trust that Jesus is going to take care of you.
- 24:00Ron Meyers: He will so.
- 24:01Ron Meyers: Today I want to encourage anybody playing hide and seek with God.
- 24:06Ron Meyers: Quit playing hide and seek.
- 24:08Ron Meyers: He knows what you're going through.
- 24:09Ron Meyers: He's got his arms open.
- 24:11Ron Meyers: Just walk into his arms and say Jesus, I am yours.
- 24:16Ron Meyers: How do you get the hell out of your life?
- 24:19Ron Meyers: Get on your knees and cry out to the Lord.
- 24:22Dallas Barbee Noel: He hears you right where you are.
- 24:24Ron Meyers: How do you get the hell out of your life?
- 24:25Ron Meyers: Well, yeah, replace it with Jesus.
- 24:27Ron Meyers: We got to be born again, born of the Spirit, and that's by trusting Jesus Christ, turning from our sins and trusting Jesus.
- 24:32Speaker 4: You find out about this man by the name of Jesus, who went to the cross and gave his life so that we will have a life more abundantly.
- 24:40Speaker 4: And if you can receive that love, he will love that hell out of you.
- 24:45Speaker 1: You trust in him and you let him love the hell right out of you.
- 24:49Ron Meyers: How do you get the hell out of your life?
- 24:50Ron Meyers: Oh gosh, jesus, jesus, jesus Jesus.
- 24:52Ron Meyers: Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
- 24:57Ron Meyers: No one comes to the Father except through him.
- 25:00Ron Meyers: So how do you get the hell out of your life?
