- 0:04Speaker 1: a voicemail from Shonda from Atlanta.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, good morning. Everyone. Listen to Shanda Colling from Atlanta, Georgia.
- 0:13Speaker 2: I am so spoiled listening to you all that when
- 0:17Speaker 2: you play music, I get upset. I'm like, playing this
- 0:21Speaker 2: for why are not here? I'm like, Oh, this is
- 0:24Speaker 2: a radio show. Y'all got be spoiled. I only want
- 0:30Speaker 2: to hear you guys on the radio. I'm so happy
- 0:33Speaker 2: y'all got see Harvey Saturdays. I get the whole crew
- 0:37Speaker 2: an extra day, get an extra prank or extra strawberry letter.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I mean, it's absolutely wonderful. But my suggestion is, and
- 0:46Speaker 2: I know you guys have lives, and I just blame
- 0:49Speaker 2: you for making us like in love and want your entertainment,
- 0:54Speaker 2: But can y'all have a show with like less music
- 0:56Speaker 2: and more y'all? Can we get more crew? And let's like,
- 1:00Speaker 2: I know it's a radio show, but I'm listening for y'all.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I'm listening for the crew. Yeah. I have a blessed day,
- 1:07Speaker 2: blessed week, bless mount, bless year, blessed decade blessed Entry.
- 1:13Speaker 2: You guys are great and I absolutely love this show.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Yes, I'm gonna keep it one hundred with you. I've
- 1:22Speaker 3: been pushing for that for years. They won't have. I've
- 1:26Speaker 3: been pushing for that for years. I try to go
- 1:31Speaker 3: over each break, you know, I try not to go
- 1:35Speaker 3: to break on time started.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I love music.
- 1:41Speaker 3: You know, we got some real music lovers on this show.
- 1:44Speaker 1: But yeah, you know, you like to talk more of us.
- 1:51Speaker 3: But you know what I was gonna tell y'all something.
- 1:54Speaker 3: You know, Chris Spencer did a documentary so to speak,
- 1:57Speaker 3: on the Kings, and he just bought the three of us, me,
- 2:03Speaker 3: Said and DL together to La and we shot it
- 2:07Speaker 3: at a club, just sitting around the table, and it's
- 2:12Speaker 3: an hour something. It was just a great first of all,
- 2:17Speaker 3: just being with Said and DL and listening to the stories,
- 2:23Speaker 3: because each one of us told stories that the other
- 2:26Speaker 3: one had forgotten. And we were talking about each other
- 2:31Speaker 3: and what we gave to the tour and how we
- 2:33Speaker 3: felt about each other individually, and the conversation turned to
- 2:39Speaker 3: just how we were and Dale was jokingly saying how
- 2:43Speaker 3: happy he was when on the Chasha Club did that
- 2:48Speaker 3: very popular podcast with that other other comedian and how
- 2:55Speaker 3: happy he was to finally see somebody talking about Say
- 2:59Speaker 3: It in the Niggai Wait he said, said a bottle
- 3:02Speaker 3: of champagne and said, Man, I'm so happy somebody was
- 3:06Speaker 3: just hating on you. It just it just warmed my heart.
- 3:09Speaker 3: We was laughing so hard because said is such a
- 3:12Speaker 3: good guy. Man say It, don't be in nothing. And so,
- 3:16Speaker 3: you know, to watch Said get attacked on the internet,
- 3:19Speaker 3: it was alarming for us, you know, because don't nobody
- 3:22Speaker 3: mess with said. So Dal sent him a bottle of
- 3:25Speaker 3: champagne and called him up and said, Man, I'm so
- 3:29Speaker 3: happy to see them dragging you cross the cols on
- 3:31Speaker 3: the internet. It's just done a lot for my day.
- 3:34Speaker 3: And I was just sitting there laughing with him and everything.
- 3:37Speaker 3: And then we were talking about the value of d
- 3:39Speaker 3: L and how he spoke for us on the Kings
- 3:43Speaker 3: to It because Dal has the better vocabulary, and we
- 3:47Speaker 3: would just let Die go out and talk because Dal spoke,
- 3:50Speaker 3: you know, really eloquently, so we didn't care. And we
- 3:54Speaker 3: talked about Bernie Man and how how much fun we
- 3:58Speaker 3: had watching him work every day. We called him the
- 4:01Speaker 3: human train wreck because we knew every night. He was
- 4:04Speaker 3: gonna go off the rails. He was just gonna go
- 4:06Speaker 3: off the rails. He was gonna do something we hadn't
- 4:08Speaker 3: seen before. It was gonna be so far to the
- 4:11Speaker 3: left and ignorant. And we just sit there and enjoy
- 4:14Speaker 3: him backstage, and then Sad said, Then DL said, hey man,
- 4:22Speaker 3: I've never seen anybody recover better than you, and he
- 4:27Speaker 3: was talking about me, he said. Sad said, hey man,
- 4:31Speaker 3: I've seen stuff happen to you after the Kings and
- 4:35Speaker 3: during the Kings that would have broke the average person.
- 4:40Speaker 3: He said, man, I've seen them come for you to
- 4:43Speaker 3: try to end you, and you get back up time
- 4:46Speaker 3: and time and time again. And Chris Spencer said, hey man,
- 4:50Speaker 3: what do you attribute that to? And Sad said, his
- 4:54Speaker 3: daddy was a coal miner. And hearing that yesterday when
- 4:58Speaker 3: I watched this thing that Crispenson sent me, it's what
- 5:02Speaker 3: I'm talking about today. My father was a coal miner.
- 5:06Speaker 3: That's crazy, man, to say that we are from McDowell County.
- 5:10Speaker 3: That's the poorest county in West Virginia. It's one of
- 5:15Speaker 3: the poorest counties in America. To tell you the truth,
- 5:18Speaker 3: it's McDowell County. McDowell County voted heavily for Barack Obama twice,
- 5:29Speaker 3: and then they turned because Trump made a promise to
- 5:32Speaker 3: them to bring back coal mining, and the poor people
- 5:36Speaker 3: in McDowell County turned for Donald Trump. They mad at
- 5:41Speaker 3: him right now because he didn't bring back coal mining,
- 5:44Speaker 3: which wasn't gonna happen. Coal mining is a dying industry
- 5:47Speaker 3: is done differently now. And I was just thinking about it, man,
- 5:53Speaker 3: how grateful I was to have my father coal miner.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I'm the son of a coal miner. Man. That's a
- 5:59Speaker 3: cool thing to say, because he taught me the ability
- 6:02Speaker 3: to get up when it go bad. Because I watched
- 6:05Speaker 3: him get up every day, climb down in the hole
- 6:08Speaker 3: three miles underground. We didn't know if we was gonna
- 6:11Speaker 3: see him again, and he came back out that hole
- 6:13Speaker 3: every day and went right back in that hole every
- 6:16Speaker 3: single day, like living in the graveyard three miles down.
- 6:20Speaker 3: And if my daddy could come back from that, I
- 6:22Speaker 3: can get over a little internet mess. I can get
- 6:25Speaker 3: over from anything. Thank you, Snick Hob, appreciate you, boy.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I do it.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Hek for Friday. Hey, that's my closing remarks today. Hope
- 6:33Speaker 3: y'all had a good one. Talk to God today. Absolutely
- 6:35Speaker 3: love to hear from you here all right now.
