- 0:55The Arise Women of God Podcast hello, and welcome to another episode of the Arise Women of God podcast.
- 1:03I'm your host, Tamara K.
- 1:05Andersen.
- 1:05And joining me today is the amazing Tiffany Fletcher, a member of our Women warriors of Light Advisory board.
- 1:13And today we're diving into the topic of divine attention.
- 1:17First, Tiffany is going to share a personal, powerful realization she had after studying the life of Joseph of Egypt.
- 1:25Second, I'll share my mallard duck epiphany that I had in my very own backyard that explains why no is perhaps one of the most loving answers God can give.
- 1:35Third, Tiffany is then going to share the beauty of the pit, how her own childhood trauma became a tool to lead others into the light.
- 1:44And finally, we'll talk about a specific prayer hack, how to ask the right questions to get the answers you actually need.
- 1:51But first, we're going to have Tiffany share this beautiful, powerful experience she had while diving into the story of Joseph.
- 1:59We've all had experiences like this where we question whether or not God is actually listening to our prayers and answering.
- 2:06And.
- 2:07And I think that, I mean, those are very valid concerns, especially when we feel that we're suffering or struggling and we just feel God may not be listening to those prayers.
- 2:19But I recently actually have experienced that feeling.
- 2:24And I was reading about Joseph and I was reading about how his brothers cast him into the pit, and then he was sold into Egypt, and then he was in Potiphar's house and he was accused of bad deeds
- 2:38in, in Potiphar's house and he was put in prison and all of these things happened.
- 2:44But it.
- 2:44Yet it, it continued to say, and the Lord was with Joseph.
- 2:49And as I was reading that, I was praying Heavenly Father, and I was like, heavenly Father, Are you with me?
- 2:56And he.
- 2:57I felt.
- 2:58I felt his spirit say, I want you to read that differently.
- 3:01And the Lord was with Tiffany.
- 3:03I want you to remember that.
- 3:05And I feel like that's so important to remember that the Lord is with each of us.
- 3:13That even if it seems like we are being accused of something unfairly, even as.
- 3:18Even if we're being like we've been thrown into a pit and no one is there, God is with us.
- 3:23That's the promise.
- 3:24That's the promise.
- 3:26We are his children and he has never, ever left us.
- 3:31He is there.
- 3:33He is listening.
- 3:35God is with you.
- 3:37But sometimes when we are in that pit, it feels so hard to feel that connection.
- 3:43We start to wonder if the silence means God has ignored our plea.
- 3:48Sometimes the silence, though, isn't a lack of hearing.
- 3:52It's a high level view of danger that we just can't see yet.
- 3:56We had a pair of mallard ducks in our backyard earlier this week, and they were really checking out the backyard, like to find a nesting spot.
- 4:06And usually I would be totally fine with it.
- 4:09I'd be like, yes, please come nest in my backyard.
- 4:11You know, we love to have little ducklings hatching in our yard and stuff like that.
- 4:16But we happened to be watching a neighbor's dog starting this weekend.
- 4:23And I just knew with that coming up, I'm like, you should not nest in my yard right now.
- 4:31Come back in a week and a half.
- 4:33You can nest in my yard just fine.
- 4:35But it was interesting to look at it from the perspective of that.
- 4:39So I kind of walked outside and I just wandered around the yard and they flew away.
- 4:44Just kind of gently encouraging them to move off.
- 4:47The answer's not now.
- 4:49And I thought of that in regards to these podcasts that we've been doing about speaking to God and hearing his answers.
- 4:57And it just was so apparent that I knew something these ducks didn't.
- 5:00There is danger that will be coming into my backyard.
- 5:03This is not a safe place for you.
- 5:06So sometimes God's like saying, no, not right now.
- 5:11The answers wait, you're bad timing right now.
- 5:15I see something you don't see, so trust me on this.
- 5:18But it was just such an epiphany as I was going through that experience, going, oh, yeah, there's times when I've been banging on the windows of heaven saying, are you hearing me up there?
- 5:29And I'm sure he's up there going, yes, Tamara, but you're just going to have to wait for a little bit for an answer.
- 5:35I see something you don't see.
- 5:37Do you know what I mean?
- 5:38And it's hard when that's the answer.
- 5:41We feel like he's not listening, but.
- 5:43We just want to nest right here, right?
- 5:45It would be so easy.
- 5:46It's a safe place, you know, And God's like, nope, not right now.
- 5:53Anyway.
- 5:54It was, it was an interesting perspective shift for me to kind of look at God a little differently as far as prayers go.
- 6:04I knew something those ducks didn't.
- 6:06And God knows something we don't.
- 6:09Tiffany has seen this long game play play out in her own life, taking the hardest parts of her childhood and weaving them into a mission of resilience.
- 6:21I think about when I was a child, I grew up with a mom who had multiple personalities and, and one was very violent.
- 6:28It was very hard situation, very.
- 6:30It was, it was a struggle.
- 6:32Yet I wrote, when I wrote my book about it, I have had so many people talk about how it's blessed their lives.
- 6:37But in that time I remember praying and being like, God, please just take me out of this, right?
- 6:42Please help me, take me out of this.
- 6:44And he didn't.
- 6:45He kept me there, of course, he protect me and he helped me feel his love while I moved through it.
- 6:51But it wasn't until years later when those experiences have really solidified my testimony in his love and in his grace and in his goodness.
- 7:00And so that now I'm able to use that experience as a child to then help other people learn how to come out of darkness and to find light and to be resilient in their lives.
- 7:13And I wouldn't be, I wouldn't know how to do that if I hadn't experienced those hard things as a child.
- 7:19And so I.
- 7:20It's so important for us to understand that everything that happens to us, whether it's bad or good, God can use it for our good.
- 7:27And he will use it to bless our lives.
- 7:30And some somewhere down the line, he will use it to bless someone else's life too.
- 7:35And I just testify that that is true.
- 7:38Isn't it great to know that God uses it all, the good times and the bad.
- 7:43But if you're still sitting there feeling like you're not getting a clear signal, it might be time to change your frequency by changing your question.
- 7:54If, if you feel that God isn't speaking to you, maybe you're not asking the right questions.
- 8:01And so that's even something, you know, you could ask God, okay, what question should I be asking?
- 8:06And he'll help you know what questions to ask to get the Answers that you need.
- 8:10And I heard recently specific answer, specific prayers.
- 8:14Get specific answers.
- 8:15And so pray specifically for the things that you need and ask him to help you.
- 8:21And, and if you still feel like you're not getting answers, turn to the Scriptures.
- 8:26Ask God to answer you through the Scriptures.
- 8:29Every time that I have done that, I've received an answer from Heavenly Father and, and at least direction on how to find more to how to find more answers.
- 8:37So that's an important, important piece that we can remember if we're not getting answers.
- 8:44Our Scriptures are a wonderful ch treasure trove of answers to questions.
- 8:49So make sure that you you open them up often and read.
- 8:54Another hack that I have learned on this road to getting answers to my prayers is if I feel like I'm getting conflicting answers to cast the adversary out in the name of Jesus, try to ground and center myself
- 9:07and then pray again.
- 9:09Because often the adversary is trying to distract us and we might get a yes and a no, but it's him interfering with the answer.
- 9:16So cast him out, bring in light through the power of the Savior and then begin asking again.
- 9:24Those answers often come much more clearly.
- 9:28So, my friends, God hears your prayers not because you are perfect, but because you are his and he loves you.
- 9:38Whether he's shooing you away from a hidden danger or preparing you in the prison for a future mission, he is listening to your every word.
- 9:49If you want to move from wondering to walking with God daily, we have created a tool to help you.
- 9:56You can download our free Roadmap to Revelation 6 Steps to Hearing God in your daily life.
- 10:02And we have an accompanying Receiving Light and Revelation audio meditation to help you clear the static from life and ground yourself in peace.
- 10:14Before you begin a prayer that you really need an answer to in this roadmap, you will find step two particularly helpful where you ask God to teach you how he speaks to you and how you receive answers from
- 10:28Him.
- 10:29It's a powerful tip.
- 10:30So, my friends, pray that you can recognize God in your daily walk today, that you can hear him speaking back to you and feel his love and peace in the sunrise, in a text from a friend, or perhaps
- 10:45in a moment of peace.
- 10:47And until next time, may you arise.
- 10:49Do it God's way.
- 10:51God strong.
