- 0:01Speaker 1: Hot corner time.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Jeff Passen reported on a story about MLB telling team
- 0:07Speaker 2: officials that they're going to have to wait a little
- 0:10Speaker 2: bit longer to monitor amateur players over a winter period.
- 0:14Speaker 2: So they ordered down period for teams to watch youngsters prospects,
- 0:20Speaker 2: and that also includes collecting data on them. This will
- 0:23Speaker 2: happen in the winter time. So it says there's a
- 0:28Speaker 2: warning two executives that the amateur baseball calendar is putting
- 0:31Speaker 2: young players at dramatic risk of future injury. That's a
- 0:35Speaker 2: memo from the league and it's a seven page document
- 0:39Speaker 2: to high ranking personnel all thirty teams. The league said
- 0:42Speaker 2: it hoped it's amateur Recovery Period policy, which covers high
- 0:45Speaker 2: school juniors and seniors from October fifteenth to January fifteenth
- 0:50Speaker 2: and college players from November fifteenth to January fifteenth, will
- 0:54Speaker 2: quote alleviate the pressure on young players to forego rest
- 0:57Speaker 2: and recovery, curb overuse, and keep players healthier as they
- 1:01Speaker 2: strive for a future in professional baseball. So during that period,
- 1:04Speaker 2: team employees cannot see any player covered by the policy
- 1:08Speaker 2: here that includes video, third party data, et cetera. If
- 1:13Speaker 2: you violate it, you can be fined, suspended, placed on
- 1:15Speaker 2: the game's ineligible list, sanctions on the team, et cetera.
- 1:20Speaker 2: And they're encouraging players to use this period for rest,
- 1:23Speaker 2: recovery and training for next season rather than high intensity,
- 1:26Speaker 2: maximum effort activities. This is due to the league finding
- 1:30Speaker 2: out that dudes are going too hard all the time.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Will this do anything?
- 1:36Speaker 3: No.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Most colleges end around the week after November first, anyways,
- 1:43Speaker 4: So most colleges end in most high schools, and I
- 1:46Speaker 4: think the Big Jupiter Tournament is the week before they
- 1:49Speaker 4: ended this, and that's when most high school teams shut
- 1:51Speaker 4: down for the fall winter anyways.
- 1:55Speaker 3: So it doesn't really cover anything.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Only thing this does is it probably kills some showcase
- 1:59Speaker 4: events that happening, but doesn't limit colleges, doesn't limit other
- 2:03Speaker 4: things to other people to come and watch. So I mean, yeah,
- 2:06Speaker 4: this is like, oh, we see a rash of injuries,
- 2:10Speaker 4: we should do something about it. But this is this
- 2:13Speaker 4: doesn't really change anything for me. And also a lot
- 2:17Speaker 4: of the injuries we're seeing Bigley pictures are throwing all
- 2:19Speaker 4: year around. They're going to drive lines and treads and
- 2:23Speaker 4: places all winter and throwing all the time, so that
- 2:25Speaker 4: doesn't really stop them from going places to throw. So
- 2:28Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, I guess it helps a little bit,
- 2:30Speaker 4: but I don't know what it really does, because again,
- 2:32Speaker 4: the biggest tournament of the year is in Jupiter, the WWBA,
- 2:36Speaker 4: and Jupiter ends I think October twelfth or something. So yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 4: not like it's not like this is like, oh man,
- 2:42Speaker 4: we're gonna end that one. No, it's October to January
- 2:46Speaker 4: is shut down anyways, and then they can start doing
- 2:49Speaker 4: arm arm exercises. Are arm care is like January first
- 2:53Speaker 4: or something in high school. So I don't know what
- 2:55Speaker 4: this does other than it makes MLB say we did something.
- 3:00Speaker 5: I wash, nobody's going to blow out when they're going
- 3:04Speaker 5: to throw for a scout on a on an October
- 3:08Speaker 5: November day in high school. To me, I think high
- 3:12Speaker 5: schools should be done. Pitchers should be done before October fifteenth.
- 3:16Speaker 5: So this is from Major League Baseball. I don't think
- 3:19Speaker 5: it's I think this is just a hey, look at
- 3:22Speaker 5: what we did. Is it going to make a blip
- 3:24Speaker 5: on the radar? Absolutely not until guys are rewarded for
- 3:28Speaker 5: staying healthy and going longer into games or just in
- 3:34Speaker 5: general staying healthy. Oh wait, you can have a really
- 3:37Speaker 5: good career, if you stay healthy and you're always available,
- 3:40Speaker 5: So that's the reward. I don't think this is a
- 3:43Speaker 5: Major League Baseball thing, and I think this is to
- 3:45Speaker 5: me it's eyewash.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yeah, colleges can still be at whatever. They can't stop that.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Agents too, You have quiet college has.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Quiet period, that's true.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Agents go to everything. They're not going to be stopped.
- 4:00Speaker 4: No, agents definitely go to everything.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:03Speaker 5: So I mean, AJ, you would probably speak to this
- 4:08Speaker 5: the same too, Like if I had to go to
- 4:11Speaker 5: and I think no, Cynegard, we had him on it.
- 4:13Speaker 5: He was talking about it. If you have to go
- 4:15Speaker 5: to a tryout in January and be your absolute best max,
- 4:23Speaker 5: you're gonna be either injured because you're getting ready too soon,
- 4:27Speaker 5: or your season is going to be brutal because you
- 4:31Speaker 5: hit your peak way too soon. You got to be
- 4:33Speaker 5: ready when your season starts. For me, I had to
- 4:37Speaker 5: be ready at the beginning of spring training because that
- 4:41Speaker 5: was the times when I would get my at bats
- 4:43Speaker 5: and play in the field, and then the good players
- 4:45Speaker 5: would come and they would start playing every day and
- 4:48Speaker 5: I would get smattering of at bats. At the end
- 4:51Speaker 5: of spring training, I wouldn't play the whole time, like
- 4:54Speaker 5: you have to be able to time it. And I
- 4:55Speaker 5: think too many kids, whether they throw too much or not,
- 5:00Speaker 5: it's they're just not being taught how to take care
- 5:03Speaker 5: of their bodies, because there's the holy grail of hitting
- 5:07Speaker 5: that number, whatever it is. If you want to go
- 5:09Speaker 5: to a low level college, you got to hit ninety.
- 5:11Speaker 5: You want to go to a high level college, you
- 5:13Speaker 5: got to hit ninety five. You want to get drafted,
- 5:16Speaker 5: it's ninety eight. And until that changes, these quiet periods,
- 5:20Speaker 5: dead periods for pro scouts, not going to save any injuries. Yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 5: but I mean, nobody needs to be ramping up in
- 5:30Speaker 5: just January December, anyways, it should be. This is again, No,
- 5:35Speaker 5: there's no big things unless certain certain places are doing
- 5:39Speaker 5: things in December January. I mean I just had a
- 5:42Speaker 5: son go through it, and there was at the end
- 5:44Speaker 5: of October it was done. There was nothing until January started.
- 5:48Speaker 4: What thing unless you're paying seven hundred dollars for your
- 5:51Speaker 4: kid to go to a showcase, which why do you need.
- 5:55Speaker 3: To do that?
- 5:55Speaker 4: Anyways, this doesn't do anything except for those few plays.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Maybe some Jucos, but even though they're not even covered.
- 6:03Speaker 4: I mean, I guess Juco's but you know, most scouts
- 6:07Speaker 4: aren't really heavily invested in jucos anyways. So and no
- 6:10Speaker 4: colleges are playing. My son's last college game this year
- 6:13Speaker 4: is October twenty fifth, so this doesn't cover that. So
- 6:16Speaker 4: then they have October, November, December, January.
- 6:18Speaker 2: What does he do during that time? They just lift
- 6:20Speaker 2: and they work out. They don't do baseball.
- 6:22Speaker 4: I mean, I'm sure they do some baseball stuff, but
- 6:23Speaker 4: they just lift. But the pitchers get their downtime.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So I'm confused about this memo.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Guys, does this mean that they're trying to figure out
- 6:30Speaker 2: ways to curb the injuries but they don't know how.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Yeah, they don't know how, or they don't want to.
- 6:37Speaker 5: If they do know what it is, they don't know.
- 6:39Speaker 5: They don't want to make that change. My buddy just
- 6:42Speaker 5: texts me, who's a scout. He's paid nine months out
- 6:44Speaker 5: of the year. He's not paid November, December and January.
- 6:51Speaker 3: What So what is it?
- 6:53Speaker 4: I have a couple buddies that are still scouts and
- 6:55Speaker 4: they say they still have to go and do in
- 6:56Speaker 4: home visits with prospects. So it's not like they're getting
- 6:59Speaker 4: that time off and.
- 6:59Speaker 1: That'll continue you're allowed to do that.
- 7:01Speaker 4: I did look at the middle, so they're still working,
- 7:04Speaker 4: they're still gaining information there. They already know who they're
- 7:07Speaker 4: gonna look.
- 7:07Speaker 2: At it more than likely now they can't go have
- 7:09Speaker 2: a catch in the backyard.
- 7:10Speaker 1: If they make if they go visit.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I'm kidding.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I'm kidding, but I'm just trying to figure out what
- 7:15Speaker 1: this means.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Nothing, okay, conclusion nothing. If you skipped to the end
- 7:21Speaker 2: of this video, you did well, all right. Coming up
- 7:25Speaker 2: next Jonathan Papplebhan Joining us are the Red Sox Okay.

- 8:30Speaker 2: It's our fam, It's Pap Jonathan Paplebond. Ready to go
- 8:33Speaker 2: on FT bring it today, Pap. I want to just
- 8:36Speaker 2: get right into the Red Sox with you because it
- 8:39Speaker 2: seemed like we were kind of cruising along. Yeah, they're
- 8:41Speaker 2: gonna get one of the wildcard spots. Are they definitely
- 8:43Speaker 2: getting in? I think you tweeted about it this morning.
- 8:45Speaker 2: The schedule is not easy for them the next six games,
- 8:50Speaker 2: it's not.
- 8:50Speaker 6: First off, let me say what's up everybody, how's their
- 8:53Speaker 6: boy doing? I love the superpower. I feel like my
- 8:57Speaker 6: wallets has some superpower here lately with all my picks.
- 9:00Speaker 6: They're so hot, So just gonna throw that out there
- 9:05Speaker 6: first off.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Now, under your question, Scott.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Red Sox.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Okay, so they're up a game, right, They got three
- 9:12Speaker 2: against Toronto Blue Jays, still need to clinch the division.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Then they finished with a three game set against the Tigers,
- 9:17Speaker 2: team that might be fighting for its postseason life and
- 9:20Speaker 2: have a schoobl start in there.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Well, there's no question that they're gonna be fighting for
- 9:25Speaker 6: their lives with the Scoobal start against the Red Sox.
- 9:29Speaker 3: It's to me gonna come down to that series, no question. Now.
- 9:34Speaker 6: I hope the Blue Jays they clinched. I hope they've
- 9:37Speaker 6: been partying. I hope they're hungover a little bit. Maybe
- 9:40Speaker 6: hopefully can't play. Some guys might get some rest, I'll know.
- 9:46Speaker 6: But the Red Sox gotta win this series, and this
- 9:48Speaker 6: is a tough series to win in.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Toronto, and I don't see it happening.
- 9:52Speaker 6: So I see them going into the Detroit series and
- 9:55Speaker 6: kind of some dire straits.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Wait, you're saying that the Red Sox can't beat a
- 10:00Speaker 5: another big league team right now? Is that because they
- 10:03Speaker 5: don't have a good enough personnel or they're not playing
- 10:05Speaker 5: well enough.
- 10:06Speaker 6: Well, Kratz, if you look at it, man, they've they've
- 10:09Speaker 6: really been playing kind of scrappy ball without their best
- 10:13Speaker 6: hitter in Roman Anthony, and they've been tanking ever since.
- 10:18Speaker 3: So to me, he's not coming back. I don't. I
- 10:22Speaker 3: don't see him coming back.
- 10:24Speaker 6: Maybe if they get to the CS or something like that,
- 10:27Speaker 6: then maybe, but still you're talking about a rookie coming
- 10:30Speaker 6: back and his first ever postseason. You can't expect much
- 10:36Speaker 6: out of him after that, just like you can't expect
- 10:40Speaker 6: a Brad You just came back and he's supposed to
- 10:42Speaker 6: man down right field right now, but you can't expect
- 10:45Speaker 6: him to do it. He had to go to break
- 10:47Speaker 6: no wait, yes, ye had four strikeouts last night, So
- 10:51Speaker 6: you can't expect him to do much because he didn't
- 10:53Speaker 6: even go on.
- 10:54Speaker 3: A rehab stance. He's trying to jump right back.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Into it because it's it's all hands on debt for
- 10:59Speaker 6: the Red Sox right now.
- 11:00Speaker 3: And I'll tell you what. You can't look in the
- 11:02Speaker 3: rearview mirror at all.
- 11:05Speaker 5: All right, so I won't look. And I guess my
- 11:06Speaker 5: question is Nolan void? Then I guess Raffi if he
- 11:09Speaker 5: was in this lineup, wouldn't have wouldn't have helped them
- 11:12Speaker 5: at all right, but they got some pieces back. Jordan
- 11:16Speaker 5: Hicks hasn't really helped out. Really, what is what is
- 11:20Speaker 5: the formula for them to win these last six games,
- 11:23Speaker 5: win enough games to keep their their one game lead,
- 11:26Speaker 5: because they can't just recreate and get you know, you're
- 11:29Speaker 5: not getting Rumman Anthony back say, ain't Raphael is not
- 11:32Speaker 5: just gonna all of a sudden like stop swinging at pitches.
- 11:36Speaker 5: What is the formula? Because they're playing two really good
- 11:39Speaker 5: teams who still have something to play for.
- 11:43Speaker 6: Yeah, well, Kratz, their formula has to go to passing
- 11:47Speaker 6: the baton and the line up and playing defense and
- 11:51Speaker 6: obviously pitching right.
- 11:53Speaker 3: So all three of those phases.
- 11:54Speaker 6: But you can't lead the league in errors and expect
- 11:59Speaker 6: to beat Big League Ball clause.
- 12:01Speaker 3: It's what they do. So until they clean that up,
- 12:05Speaker 3: nothing's gonna.
- 12:06Speaker 6: Really change because there's been I don't think any team
- 12:10Speaker 6: to make it even to the World Series that has
- 12:12Speaker 6: led the league in error.
- 12:13Speaker 3: So you got to clean that up. But man, the
- 12:17Speaker 3: pitching right, You got Peyton totally in the bullpen. Now
- 12:20Speaker 3: they've moved him. He's up on his Garrett Crochet is
- 12:24Speaker 3: in a spot.
- 12:26Speaker 6: Where he's never been right number one, we got playoffs,
- 12:31Speaker 6: and number two he's pitched one hundred and eighty some
- 12:35Speaker 6: odd innings. I don't know exactly, but I know he's
- 12:38Speaker 6: one eighties ish, so he's never done that before, right,
- 12:42Speaker 6: So how much can you lean on him as well?
- 12:45Speaker 6: And my understanding and the way I think is you
- 12:50Speaker 6: you can't lean on him too much because I see
- 12:52Speaker 6: a tired Garrett Crochet right now?
- 12:56Speaker 4: What do you think about these starters that go to
- 12:58Speaker 4: the bullpen? Then if they're tired and these guys are
- 13:01Speaker 4: all hitting innings limits and Crochetes at one hundred and
- 13:03Speaker 4: ninety seven I believe innings already, And then you have
- 13:07Speaker 4: Giolito who's at a high limit count Beo's way up there,
- 13:10Speaker 4: and then you're gonna would you take it totally? Would
- 13:12Speaker 4: you take someone like that and throw him in the
- 13:14Speaker 4: bullpen for help? Or who's your what do you do
- 13:17Speaker 4: to try to help alleviate some of this pressure on
- 13:19Speaker 4: some of these guys once you if you get into
- 13:21Speaker 4: the postseason, well, a.
- 13:23Speaker 6: J somebody's got to step up because they didn't get
- 13:26Speaker 6: much help.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Bres though, that's just the one place he didn't get
- 13:29Speaker 3: any help.
- 13:30Speaker 6: Right, So Hicks is I don't even know if he
- 13:33Speaker 6: would make a postseason roster, to be honest with you,
- 13:37Speaker 6: but you have to have hope that Slayton steps up
- 13:40Speaker 6: and you and you got to hope that Chapman is
- 13:44Speaker 6: regular chap He been doing what he's been all year long.
- 13:47Speaker 3: And more importantly, a guy named Garrett Whitlock.
- 13:49Speaker 6: If Garrett Whitlock, he's just setup man if if you
- 13:53Speaker 6: can't rely on him, and he's already reached his limit
- 13:58Speaker 6: of innings or his highest limit of innings he's ever
- 14:01Speaker 6: thrown out of the bullpit, so man like, it's you're
- 14:05Speaker 6: looking at a team that is already injured and looking
- 14:11Speaker 6: to try to get into the postseason and try and
- 14:13Speaker 6: maybe do damage in the postseason with a lot of questions.
- 14:17Speaker 2: In my opinion, Todd, Father, you and me grew up
- 14:21Speaker 2: in Jersey. We liked to collect cards, but the way
- 14:24Speaker 2: the process got was ridiculous. You open up a pack,
- 14:30Speaker 2: there's a bunch of cards you don't care about. Then
- 14:32Speaker 2: you want to get certain ones graded takes forever right,
- 14:35Speaker 2: then you want to maybe sell one. It's such a
- 14:37Speaker 2: to do. Arena club has been the solution for us.
- 14:40Speaker 7: Arena club has been a solution for everybody. You go online,
- 14:44Speaker 7: go to Arena Club and you check out what they have.
- 14:47Speaker 7: Put a little cash down. You might get one of
- 14:48Speaker 7: the best cards that you've ever seen in your life
- 14:51Speaker 7: and autographed cards and guess what, if you don't like
- 14:53Speaker 7: the card, easily you could sell it back and make
- 14:56Speaker 7: a little cash. You never know what to expect. It's
- 14:59Speaker 7: a cool way of doing it. You're gonna get a
- 15:00Speaker 7: surprise every time. And if you're in the cards, this
- 15:02Speaker 7: is something you really need to get.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Into right now.
- 15:05Speaker 2: You can get twenty percent off your first slap pack
- 15:07Speaker 2: or card purchase by going to arenaclub dot com, slash
- 15:10Speaker 2: foul and use code foul like Todd Father is talking about.
- 15:13Speaker 1: With those slap packs.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Every pack is a grail that's at least twenty x
- 15:17Speaker 2: the price of the pack. Check it out.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Rookie Peyton Toley does he profile? Is his stuff profile
- 15:25Speaker 5: to be able to go to the bullpen?
- 15:28Speaker 6: It does Cratzy, It does his fastball plays.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Man, But you know as well as I do.
- 15:34Speaker 6: Man, when you got that guy and he's coming out
- 15:36Speaker 6: of the bullpen and it's like, man, holy smokes, dude,
- 15:41Speaker 6: just throw a strike here.
- 15:42Speaker 3: We got we gotta get we gotta get strike one.
- 15:45Speaker 6: And when you don't do that out of the bullpen, it,
- 15:48Speaker 6: to me, it just seems a little bit more damaging
- 15:51Speaker 6: because you're coming in.
- 15:52Speaker 3: More tighter situations.
- 15:53Speaker 6: So if you don't get ahead and you don't throw
- 15:55Speaker 6: strike one, especially out of the bullpen, you're in trouble.
- 15:59Speaker 6: So I think his fastball plays. He's just got to
- 16:02Speaker 6: located a little bit better.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Now.
- 16:04Speaker 6: He's got other pitches and slurs and cutter and a
- 16:08Speaker 6: change up he very rarely throws. But to me, it's
- 16:12Speaker 6: let me find one or two right, Let me find
- 16:14Speaker 6: one or two that play right now, and you go
- 16:16Speaker 6: with it. And as the season goes on, you go
- 16:19Speaker 6: to your best two pitches coming out of the bullpen.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Every night.
- 16:23Speaker 5: If they're on the outside looking in when the playoffs start.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Is this a failed year? Or is this like the
- 16:29Speaker 5: built in? Hey, you know what we did, go get
- 16:32Speaker 5: Bragman for one year. We knew it was a one
- 16:34Speaker 5: year deal. We got rid of Raffie, We reset for
- 16:37Speaker 5: next year. Is this a failed year? In the nation?
- 16:44Speaker 6: Red Sox Nation is going to say this is a
- 16:46Speaker 6: failed yearcratz I myself would say that it's a failed
- 16:51Speaker 6: year two. Only reason being, in my opinion is this
- 16:57Speaker 6: will be year number four, I believe. Yeah, so four
- 17:02Speaker 6: years and that just doesn't play in Boston.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Man, you know that.
- 17:06Speaker 6: And you know Breslo can make all the cute moves
- 17:09Speaker 6: you want, you can make all of the oh man,
- 17:13Speaker 6: we made the best analytical play we could. We were
- 17:16Speaker 6: making all the great moves and they're turning out.
- 17:19Speaker 3: But if you don't win, you don't. It doesn't work here.
- 17:23Speaker 3: And that's just the way it is.
- 17:24Speaker 6: And so yeah, you got you got some future young
- 17:28Speaker 6: pieces signed here and Saydan and Mayo, but you got
- 17:32Speaker 6: it in Crochet and we could go on. But like,
- 17:36Speaker 6: here's the thing is is these young kids have got
- 17:39Speaker 6: to learn how to win at a high level in playoff,
- 17:43Speaker 6: tight atmosphere games and hopefully in the playoffs.
- 17:48Speaker 3: And none of them have done that except for Bregman.
- 17:50Speaker 3: So they're they're in trouble in my opinion.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Hey, Pap, A couple other questions around the league. So
- 17:59Speaker 2: first off, we just learned officially next year we'll start
- 18:04Speaker 2: the ABS challenge system. It just got approved by the
- 18:07Speaker 2: rules committee. Two challenges per team. You keep your challenge
- 18:11Speaker 2: if you're right, and the umpire is wrong. Your thoughts, well,
- 18:17Speaker 2: my thoughts are you know you're gonna have a learning
- 18:20Speaker 2: curve with it, and you know, like.
- 18:24Speaker 3: I see now, I see now catchers wanting to call
- 18:27Speaker 3: it all the time, so you know.
- 18:30Speaker 6: It's it's who's gonna call it. I'm I'm not so
- 18:34Speaker 6: sure on it. I think the umpires are good enough.
- 18:38Speaker 6: But two is enough to get a start and say, Okay,
- 18:42Speaker 6: let's try to see if this works. And to be
- 18:46Speaker 6: honest with you, hadn't been paying a whole lot of
- 18:47Speaker 6: attention to myor league. I know they're losing at the
- 18:49Speaker 6: minor league level, right, I hadn't been paying a whole
- 18:51Speaker 6: lot of attention to it. But I think two is
- 18:55Speaker 6: enough just to start with and see.
- 18:58Speaker 5: I think the empire I agree with you. I think
- 18:59Speaker 5: the umpires are good enough. I think they just now
- 19:02Speaker 5: have an accountability. They never had any accountability before and
- 19:06Speaker 5: they'd just be like, Eh, whatever missed it. You need
- 19:09Speaker 5: to go to another pitcher. Show Hey, Otani. Not sure
- 19:12Speaker 5: how the rotation is gonna work out if they're gonna
- 19:15Speaker 5: need four guys, five guys kershaw or show Hey, there's
- 19:19Speaker 5: been a debate, can show hey come out of the
- 19:23Speaker 5: pen to pitch. I get it. You know, you could
- 19:25Speaker 5: lose them in DH you could throw them. You have
- 19:28Speaker 5: to throw him in the outfield. How hard is that
- 19:31Speaker 5: of a transition to just go ahead and do that
- 19:35Speaker 5: in a big situation like the playoffs.
- 19:40Speaker 6: I don't know, Kratz, I wish I knew, but to me, uh,
- 19:46Speaker 6: the guy is a unicorn, right, and you have to
- 19:51Speaker 6: be able to listen to him, and you have to
- 19:54Speaker 6: be able to communicate with that unicorn, that great player,
- 19:57Speaker 6: so to speak, and he.
- 20:00Speaker 3: He has to be able to communicate back to you.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Number one, what do you.
- 20:03Speaker 6: Feel comfortable doing right? What do you feel like you're
- 20:06Speaker 6: going to be best at? What do you what do
- 20:07Speaker 6: you feel like you're gonna help this team win the
- 20:10Speaker 6: most at? And then secondly, what can you handle? You know, like,
- 20:15Speaker 6: what type of load do you think that you can handle?
- 20:18Speaker 6: And what are you going to do pregame, post games
- 20:22Speaker 6: in order to handle these loads?
- 20:24Speaker 3: If we're going to be asking a little.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Bit extra from you, and I'll be honest with you, man,
- 20:31Speaker 6: playoff games, these these last six games the Red Sox
- 20:35Speaker 6: will be playing are they're just a different intensity, man,
- 20:39Speaker 6: And they take a little bit more out of you
- 20:43Speaker 6: a little bit more if your fuel tank just seems
- 20:47Speaker 6: to be a little bit lower after each one of
- 20:49Speaker 6: these games and just you know, your normal game and
- 20:52Speaker 6: the regular season.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Did they get in?
- 20:54Speaker 3: Oh? I think they get in. I think they have
- 20:57Speaker 3: the leadership to get in.
- 20:58Speaker 6: I think this time of year it boils down to
- 21:01Speaker 6: leadership in your clubhouse, you know.
- 21:02Speaker 3: And kudos to Kershaw Man. I liked how he went
- 21:07Speaker 3: out and the way he went out, went out in
- 21:09Speaker 3: a good way. You know.
- 21:10Speaker 6: He didn't do the Derek Jeter or David Ortiz, let
- 21:15Speaker 6: me have a party at every city I go to
- 21:17Speaker 6: and get a present and blah blah blah, you know,
- 21:20Speaker 6: And he went out on his terms. Good way to
- 21:22Speaker 6: go out and class act for him.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Man. So I say they get in because of their leadership.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Pap, you're the best. Thanks for swinging by. We'll look
- 21:31Speaker 1: for your lot later this week. Thanks Bud.
- 21:33Speaker 3: All right, see you guys,
