- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's guest is a comedian and an actor. You'll know
- 0:04Speaker 1: him from everywhere, from Grown Ups, King of Queens, Chuck
- 0:08Speaker 1: and Larry, Paul Blart. His new movie is out that's
- 0:13Speaker 1: right now in theaters. It's called Solo Mio, and it's
- 0:19Speaker 1: great if you want to go check it out. But
- 0:21Speaker 1: right now, let's get to know Mr. Kevin James.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Yeah!
- 0:42Speaker 1: That's my coffee cup right there. Con Dios todos es posible.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Posible. It is. Yeah. What is the middle word?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Todo es.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Todo es. Todo es. Everything is. That's cool.
- 0:56Speaker 1: With God, everything is possible. What does yours say?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Mine's pretty, I just have no answers. That's what it
- 1:05Speaker 2: comes down to.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Oh, yours is one of those Mad Lib mugs, huh?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Each day is something different.
- 1:11Speaker 1: That's not Italian, but that almost sounds a little bit Italian,
- 1:14Speaker 1: like your movie.
- 1:15Speaker 2: It does. It is very close. Dio.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Dio? Like Rodney James Dio, like Lock.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Up the Wolves, you mean? Yes, yes, but much different.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Lock up the wolves.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Have you ever listened to that?
- 1:27Speaker 2: No. I remember him. I mean, he was crazy, right?
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm sure he was yelling, lock up the wolves.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. You can't not be crazy and yell,
- 1:35Speaker 2: lock up the wolves.
- 1:36Speaker 1: God, that album. My brother used to beat me to
- 1:38Speaker 1: his music.
- 1:41Speaker 2: It makes sense.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You remember your first concert ever or no?
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it was Kiss. I saw Kiss in, it was
- 1:48Speaker 2: like right after, I think, maybe after Kiss Alive. It
- 1:55Speaker 2: was like, it was after that or Destroy. One of
- 1:57Speaker 2: them early, early albums and I went with my buddy
- 2:00Speaker 2: and I remember my buddy broke his arm and he
- 2:04Speaker 2: wasn't going to be able to go but we convinced
- 2:06Speaker 2: him to go he was in a cast so I
- 2:07Speaker 2: was there with my mother and his mother and he
- 2:10Speaker 2: was just rocking his cast the whole night to kiss
- 2:14Speaker 2: it was fun.
- 2:15Speaker 1: God that's good it was a good one there was
- 2:17Speaker 1: nothing like that time when you were going to a
- 2:19Speaker 1: freaking concert oh yeah when you were just a kid
- 2:22Speaker 1: and so like you got like if the air hit
- 2:24Speaker 1: you and it was dope in it it just hit
- 2:26Speaker 1: you everything was weird Everything was crazy. What was your
- 2:30Speaker 1: first concert? I went to, oh, Marilyn Manson. And it was, yeah,
- 2:37Speaker 1: they had a guy in our town, and he took
- 2:40Speaker 1: us over there, me and another young kid.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Dropped us off. You were there just with his?
- 2:46Speaker 1: With me and my buddy. This guy dropped us off,
- 2:49Speaker 1: this religious guy or whatever.
- 2:53Speaker 2: He dropped you off, religious?
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he had a car.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Oh, religion.
- 2:56Speaker 1: He had a car.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Last Baptist, I think. I have no idea what he was.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I don't want to know, man. He's dropping you off
- 3:04Speaker 2: at Marilyn Manson.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Nothing decent.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Oh, dude. Did he take off fast? Like, was he like, go?
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah, he drove in a convertible.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah, he dropped us off. He said he could get
- 3:13Speaker 1: us tickets there. And we'd heard a couple of their
- 3:15Speaker 1: songs and we were sort of into them. And we
- 3:16Speaker 1: were underage when we got in. But it was like
- 3:19Speaker 1: being in a concert when you were a kid and
- 3:21Speaker 1: everything was going on. If you were young, it was
- 3:23Speaker 1: kind of wild because you were kind of free in
- 3:25Speaker 1: this place. that was caged, there was music, you know,
- 3:28Speaker 1: sometimes it was like pot in the air, you know,
- 3:30Speaker 1: it was just like a lot, you know, people were
- 3:31Speaker 1: like strolling around.
- 3:33Speaker 2: A lot of new stimulus, right? A lot of weird
- 3:35Speaker 2: stuff that you, you know, you're a little bit scared, right?
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you're a little bit scared, but you're excited.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yes.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And then if you get, you know, somebody passes you
- 3:42Speaker 1: something or your buddy brought something or whatever, then you
- 3:44Speaker 1: getting lifted. And now, dude, one time we ate something,
- 3:48Speaker 1: I don't know what we had or something, you know,
- 3:50Speaker 1: we caught a whiff of something. And we might have
- 3:52Speaker 1: brought it with us and lit it up. But whatever
- 3:55Speaker 1: it was, it got into us.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Not me.
- 3:57Speaker 1: And, dude, I couldn't see anymore, right? And I was like, oh, shit.
- 4:03Speaker 1: But I still had to pee.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:05Speaker 1: That's one thing I noticed. If you can't see, you
- 4:07Speaker 1: still have to pee.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, one doesn't stop the other. Yeah.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I don't know. I never got lifted. But if I
- 4:13Speaker 2: couldn't see and I had to pee, how did you
- 4:16Speaker 2: do it? Did you just kind of? Walk out with
- 4:18Speaker 2: a friend?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Or did you go where you were? I remember the
- 4:21Speaker 1: direction to the back of the venue and I put
- 4:22Speaker 1: my hands like this, right?
- 4:23Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And I was going back and I remember feeling like
- 4:28Speaker 1: a badge and I was feeling like a cop.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I'm sure he liked that.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Oh, dude, I'm so glad he didn't like, you know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: he recognized that.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I wasn't doing well. Yeah. He saw you were in
- 4:40Speaker 2: a bad way and he helped you. Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And I went into the bathroom. I thought I was
- 4:42Speaker 1: a raccoon. Whatever, dude.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 1: That was a long night.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Kevin James, good to see you, man.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Good to see you.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Nice to be here. Thank you very much.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Thanks for coming, man. I appreciate it. Did you guys go...
- 4:54Speaker 1: We saw each other last night at your... You showed
- 4:57Speaker 1: me and Nate Bargatze and some other friends here in
- 4:59Speaker 1: Nashville your movie.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Yeah. We just went out to dinner. Y'all did? Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 2: we just hung out and had a good night.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Where'd y'all go?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Oh, gosh. What was the name of that place? It
- 5:05Speaker 2: was Gannon's in Nashville.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Is it on a lake?
- 5:12Speaker 2: I don't think it was on a lake. I mean,
- 5:13Speaker 2: we didn't take a boat to get there, right? We didn't...
- 5:15Speaker 2: It was... Yeah, it was.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Sounds nice.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it was cool. It was? Yeah, it was nice.
- 5:20Speaker 2: They gave us a little room, and we just had fun.
- 5:24Speaker 2: It was prime rib.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Oh.
- 5:25Speaker 2: It was everything, man. It was good.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Did it have that white sauce with it?
- 5:28Speaker 2: It did. It did. What is that? It's like a tartar.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:34Speaker 2: But it's not. It's got a W. What is it?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Or a horseradish. Horseradish, not a W. Where's the W
- 5:40Speaker 2: coming from? But it's white. That's where it comes from.
- 5:43Speaker 2: W is white. And it's horseradish. And they give you
- 5:45Speaker 2: the chunks of horseradish, which is like, that's like the
- 5:49Speaker 2: nucleus of it. I've never seen that. What are you
- 5:51Speaker 2: talking about?
- 5:52Speaker 1: Now, bring up a natural horseradish in its natural habitat
- 5:55Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yes, yeah. And then they have a white horseradish sauce
- 6:00Speaker 2: that kind of blends it. See, that's the stuff. Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 1: God, that's good.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah. And you spread that over your prime rib.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Oh, I love that. That thing, I just... I never
- 6:12Speaker 1: know what it is, but they have it, and I
- 6:15Speaker 1: love it.
- 6:16Speaker 2: What's that? That right there. Oh, the horseradish.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 2: So you've had it?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, but I just forgot.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Oh, what it is.
- 6:22Speaker 1: But I know you only see it with prime.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Shrimp cocktail. No, you see it with shrimp cocktail, too. Oh,
- 6:25Speaker 2: that's the same? Yes. It comes out the same way.
- 6:29Speaker 2: They give you the chunks of the thing. Do you
- 6:31Speaker 2: do shrimp cocktail?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I do shrimp cocktails all the time when the
- 6:33Speaker 1: shrimps are hanging out, showing their legs or whatever off
- 6:35Speaker 1: the edge of the thing.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you split them, you pop them, and you dip
- 6:39Speaker 2: them in the thing.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Dude, I had no idea that was the same thing.
- 6:43Speaker 2: That's the wasabi version of whatever it is for this stuff.
- 6:48Speaker 2: It's like wasabi. It's like a spicy hit that you do.
- 6:52Speaker 2: It's really to get you to forget the fact that
- 6:54Speaker 2: you're eating fish.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I guess because some of it doesn't taste
- 6:57Speaker 1: great or whatever.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Horseradish is a perennial plant of the family Brassicaceae. It's
- 7:07Speaker 1: not a vegetable. Oh, it is a root vegetable cultivated
- 7:10Speaker 1: and used worldwide as a spice and as a condiment.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yeah, dude.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I like that, man. I like it when I just
- 7:16Speaker 1: really– but I only see it with prime rib, and
- 7:18Speaker 1: I guess to me that always looked more like a
- 7:20Speaker 1: milkier sauce. Yeah. Something different.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Well, there's both. There's that. There's like little chunks when
- 7:25Speaker 2: you see that, and then they give you like it's
- 7:27Speaker 2: like a cool whip. Like a mayonnaise style that blends
- 7:32Speaker 2: with that. You put them both together. Oh, I haven't
- 7:34Speaker 2: done that. And it gives you, yeah, it's a good cover.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I'm missing, maybe I'm not looking around when I see that. Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 1: But I love that. You get to talk to the
- 7:41Speaker 1: person and they cut it.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yes. It's a lot of fun.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:44Speaker 2: You know? Oh, yeah. It's a lot of fun. It
- 7:48Speaker 2: was a good night, man. We had fun. We missed
- 7:50Speaker 2: you and thanks for coming.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. It was great to come over there. and
- 7:54Speaker 1: see the film and just see the, had you seen
- 7:56Speaker 1: it a bunch already?
- 7:58Speaker 2: I seen a few times.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, I did you help edit it?
- 8:01Speaker 2: Oh gosh. Yeah. I did everything, you know, helping them
- 8:04Speaker 2: all on every step of the way. We've been, you know,
- 8:07Speaker 2: baby in this thing for, for a while now. So it's, it's, it's,
- 8:11Speaker 2: I'll keep seeing it. I'm going to see it again. And,
- 8:12Speaker 2: you know, you know, it's, it's basically just, your baby,
- 8:16Speaker 2: you know, you, you work it and you, you just
- 8:18Speaker 2: kind of try to bring it to everybody and you
- 8:19Speaker 2: want it to be right. And I don't want to,
- 8:22Speaker 2: you know, I want everybody like you, I want people
- 8:24Speaker 2: to see it, to, to, you know, to see what
- 8:27Speaker 2: they think, what they can change. But now we're here.
- 8:30Speaker 1: We felt the magic of it yesterday, man. It felt good.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It was a love. It's a, I don't want to
- 8:35Speaker 1: give anything away. I mean, it's a love story.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It's got some sweet moments that were surprises, I thought. Good.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You know? It definitely made me think, like, dang, I
- 8:46Speaker 1: got to get– You got to get into love, man.
- 8:50Speaker 1: That's what it makes you feel hopeful that people are
- 8:53Speaker 1: getting into love out there.
- 8:54Speaker 2: In Italy.
- 8:55Speaker 1: And in Italy.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Yes. Honestly, that's never too late. I found my wife
- 9:01Speaker 2: later in life, too. And it's one of those things
- 9:07Speaker 2: where it's possible for all. When they get older, they
- 9:11Speaker 2: start gripping the bat too tight, getting worried that I'm
- 9:14Speaker 2: not with anybody. So they don't know whether to make
- 9:16Speaker 2: that decision, jump, or I'm just going to be alone.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And I think when you loosen up and kind of
- 9:20Speaker 2: relax and just give yourself up to giving a shot,
- 9:23Speaker 2: you do better.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Did you feel that ever?
- 9:26Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. I was definitely. I got married at like 39,
- 9:32Speaker 2: I think. Yeah. And I had my first kid at 40.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Do you still have your wife?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I met her last night.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yeah. She was there. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, good. I
- 9:41Speaker 2: kept her.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I hope that was her. Otherwise, she wouldn't be happy
- 9:43Speaker 1: hearing about this.
- 9:44Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no. That's her. Yeah, it
- 9:46Speaker 2: looked like. 21 and change now. 21 years.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Oh. Yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's great. Four kids. It's fun.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And is your wife from another country or parents might be?
- 9:56Speaker 2: Well, she's Filipino and a little bit Alaskan Indian.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Dude, I love Filipinos.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Yeah. You do?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Dude, are you kidding me?
- 10:03Speaker 2: How could you not? Right?
- 10:04Speaker 1: Dude, they're the smiling people.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yes. Very happy people. Oh. Very fun people. And they
- 10:10Speaker 2: make lumpia.
- 10:11Speaker 1: And they make what?
- 10:12Speaker 2: Lumpia.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Oh, I've never even heard of it.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Can you look up lumpia?
- 10:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Lumpia is just.
- 10:17Speaker 1: What is it, like a dip or something?
- 10:18Speaker 2: It's like an egg roll from heaven. And you put
- 10:22Speaker 2: it in the dip. And it's nothing like the horseradish one.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It's a beautiful, sweetie... It can be a little spicy
- 10:28Speaker 2: if you want, but it's a fun one. It's a good...
- 10:32Speaker 2: It's a good– it wowed me.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I would mule one of those in my ass.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I think those things look good, brother. I'll tell you that.
- 10:40Speaker 1: But you brought one of those into prison. You could
- 10:42Speaker 1: sell it for a lot.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I don't know what was going in. A lot went
- 10:45Speaker 2: out my ass. Yeah. Oh, dude. Sorry. God, no.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Those look that good.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Yeah, they're good. They're very good.
- 10:52Speaker 1: There's not a lot of food you'd put in your–
- 10:53Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying?
- 10:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Because that's a total reverse route. That's like when you
- 10:56Speaker 1: see somebody who's driving up the interstate the wrong way
- 10:59Speaker 1: and you're like, what are they doing here?
- 11:01Speaker 2: How did you get on this road? Yeah. Yeah. It's
- 11:03Speaker 2: real good.
- 11:04Speaker 1: God, that's nice. Yeah, see, I think if somebody tricked
- 11:07Speaker 1: me enough with a– you know, with some sort of
- 11:11Speaker 1: fancy little oriental baklava like that.
- 11:14Speaker 2: They would– Are you really– Oh, really?
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah. That they could get me to love them more.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:19Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:20Speaker 1: If somebody had a recipe of something that you just loved,
- 11:24Speaker 1: I would give in more. But yeah, Filipinos, dude, I
- 11:28Speaker 1: wish we were all Filipino.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Sure.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Because I think it would be great.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It would be great.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Name 60 bad Filipinos.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I can't name one. I don't know any.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I really don't. I don't know one. I can't name one.
- 11:42Speaker 1: So are your kids a little bit Filipino too?
- 11:44Speaker 2: They have to be, I hope.
- 11:46Speaker 1: That's so good.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah, they're fun.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Oh, I can't even imagine.
- 11:50Speaker 2: You should see them. You like them. Oh, yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'd love to see them sometime. But yeah, I would
- 11:55Speaker 1: love to have like a semi-Asian or off-Asian. I don't
- 11:58Speaker 1: know exactly what the term is with Filipino, but I
- 11:59Speaker 1: would love to have a child like that.
- 12:00Speaker 2: It's a cute mix. It's fun, you know?
- 12:03Speaker 1: And they're so good. They seem like such good people.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 1: That's beautiful, dude. I know that you grew up over
- 12:10Speaker 1: in New York. Oh, dude, I forgot to even tell
- 12:14Speaker 1: you this. I saw the movie. When I first saw
- 12:16Speaker 1: your movie, Solomio it's called.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I thought it was Salamio. I thought it was a- Oh,
- 12:22Speaker 1: that would be an old, yes. Like a Marvel character
- 12:23Speaker 1: you were doing.
- 12:24Speaker 2: By the way, I could do that one next. Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 2: That is not, Salamio is a- That's what I thought.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I was like, dude, what is he doing? What am
- 12:30Speaker 2: I not doing? Salamio. How did you guys not think
- 12:33Speaker 2: of Salamio?
- 12:34Speaker 1: I just thought it was like- oh, this is his
- 12:36Speaker 1: superhero type of guy.
- 12:38Speaker 2: But did you think it was just one word and
- 12:40Speaker 2: it was an Italian word? Or did you think it
- 12:41Speaker 2: was the meat? Oh, I thought it was like the master.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Like Salamio. Yeah, like Salamio shows up and rescues the
- 12:56Speaker 1: Italian parade or something.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Something happened at the Italian parade. But is the Italian
- 12:59Speaker 2: meat involved? No, that's just his name. Okay. Does he
- 13:03Speaker 2: have a cape?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Yeah, he may have a cape. Yes, he has a cape,
- 13:07Speaker 1: like maybe a fine pochette or whatever.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Salamio is insane.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so anyway, I thought that behind my glasses on
- 13:14Speaker 1: when I saw it. So I was like, Salamio, that's crazy.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I was like, but it's awesome. And it was like,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I could see it being super exciting.
- 13:20Speaker 2: You know, I'm regretting every choice we've made now that
- 13:22Speaker 2: we did not go with Salamio. It really is hitting me.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Salamio is, I don't know. From the land of mortadella. Yes. Yes.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Your backstory could have been sick. But when I got
- 13:34Speaker 1: there and I saw the, uh, the image and it
- 13:36Speaker 1: was like, Oh, solo meal.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:39Speaker 1: And it was good. Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 2: It was cool, man. Yeah.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And it just made me, uh, it didn't make me
- 13:42Speaker 1: think about love. It made me think about that kind
- 13:44Speaker 1: of stuff. And like, yeah, just the choices that we make. Um,
- 13:48Speaker 1: I think I've watched a couple of movies recently that
- 13:50Speaker 1: kind of like got me in like certain.
- 13:52Speaker 2: So you're single now. Yeah. Okay. And you're looking, are you,
- 13:55Speaker 2: or you're just like, I'm looking, you know, I got
- 13:57Speaker 2: to get married at some point. Right. You know, kids.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I want to have some children.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I love it.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yeah, did you always want to have them, you think?
- 14:04Speaker 2: I did. You did? Yeah, I did. I always wanted kids.
- 14:08Speaker 2: And again, I was getting worried. I was 39. It
- 14:13Speaker 2: was later for me and then four. But you have
- 14:15Speaker 2: so much time. You're great. You can go as long
- 14:18Speaker 2: as you can and then you adopt or do whatever.
- 14:20Speaker 2: It's amazing.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yeah, some of the adopt, there's a lot of returns
- 14:23Speaker 1: over there. You know what I'm saying? I'm not, no judgment.
- 14:27Speaker 1: And some of those are rushing. But people know it.
- 14:31Speaker 1: It's on a chart. But yeah, dude, I do think–
- 14:35Speaker 1: I know I would like to. I think it's just
- 14:38Speaker 1: making sure I can get into that place.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Where are you– go ahead.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Of myself and knowing, okay, I can do this, and
- 14:46Speaker 1: I have to really fine-tune my behaviors and what I
- 14:54Speaker 1: need to be doing and how I kind of– put
- 14:57Speaker 1: myself and take care of myself and everything. It's like,
- 15:00Speaker 1: cause this is going to be a thing, you know?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Right. Right. You want to stay in it. Right. So
- 15:03Speaker 2: you want to, are you putting yourself out there though to, to,
- 15:06Speaker 2: to in the right places to see these people, to
- 15:08Speaker 2: meet these people? Cause now you're, I mean, it's, it's
- 15:09Speaker 2: something because you're so famous now. It's like a, it's
- 15:12Speaker 2: a different take on it. You gotta be careful. Right.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So I guess, I mean, I still probably date the
- 15:16Speaker 1: same types of gals as when I wasn't popular, you know,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I think so that I don't know if that changes,
- 15:20Speaker 1: but I wouldn't date somebody. I think I would know
- 15:22Speaker 1: if somebody was like, you.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Know, right. I hope so. You definitely would.
- 15:27Speaker 1: After me for my podcast outtakes or whatever.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Right, right, right.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But yeah, I thought it was a great movie. It
- 15:33Speaker 1: was really sweet. It had some good surprises. So yeah,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'm glad that I left feeling glad that I went
- 15:37Speaker 1: and I saw it.
- 15:38Speaker 2: That's good.
- 15:38Speaker 1: And it made me think about some things. That's when
- 15:40Speaker 1: I noticed something's nice for me is if I leave
- 15:43Speaker 1: and it makes me like, you know, kind of think
- 15:46Speaker 1: about myself in certain situations or something.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah. And hopefully uplift. a flip uplifting. If you know
- 15:52Speaker 2: what I'm saying? If, if it feels, uh, you know, that, uh,
- 15:55Speaker 2: you can, that there's possibility out there, you know?
- 15:59Speaker 1: Oh dude. And the singing, the part where you guys
- 16:01Speaker 1: were singing, dude, I thought it was going to turn
- 16:04Speaker 1: into one of those, like at the Christian.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Um, I thought at the Christian, no, it was going
- 16:09Speaker 1: to be like, there was going to be one of
- 16:10Speaker 1: those four, four K theaters or whatever, like the 40
- 16:13Speaker 1: or whatever. And it was just going to like a
- 16:15Speaker 1: huge thing of like pasta sauce was going to fucking
- 16:17Speaker 1: hit us all in the back of the head. That's
- 16:19Speaker 1: what I thought, dude. If that would have happened, bro.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Dude, that and salami-a?
- 16:24Speaker 1: What's his name?
- 16:26Speaker 2: Salami-o. Salami-o. Salami-o. Okay, so it's salami-o. That's what I thought. Oh, dude.
- 16:31Speaker 1: That's a guy?
- 16:33Speaker 2: How do we not do salami-o?
- 16:35Speaker 1: Bro, I'll tell you this.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I want the leg muscles.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Oh, you got those.
- 16:40Speaker 2: No, I don't, man. I'm losing them. When you get older,
- 16:42Speaker 2: you start losing the leg muscles. Abs, I got, obviously,
- 16:45Speaker 2: you know I have the abs and the biceps and
- 16:47Speaker 2: all that stuff, but the leg muscles.
- 16:49Speaker 1: That's a lot of leg.
- 16:51Speaker 2: It is. Spotty fat. He's got a lot of clogged arteries.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I like it, though, man. I'm in with this guy.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I think he's just, his only thing he does is
- 17:02Speaker 1: just go to the doctor to get his levels checked.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Just paddles of blood. Dude, those aren't even muscles.
- 17:09Speaker 1: That's just a chunk of gout.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Yes, that's all gout and blood. Cholesterol.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I like it. But no, dude, it was cool. So
- 17:16Speaker 1: thank you so much for inviting me, man. It's enjoyable.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It's a nice movie. You could take your lady. You
- 17:21Speaker 1: could take your lady, go with your family, go with
- 17:22Speaker 1: almost anybody, really.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Right.
- 17:23Speaker 1: It was sweet.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Good.
- 17:25Speaker 1: It was sweet and good, man. You grew up in Mineola?
- 17:30Speaker 2: I was born in Mineola. I grew up out. Yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 2: I bounced around Long Island for a little bit in
- 17:34Speaker 2: New Hyde Park. But you don't know this stuff. We
- 17:37Speaker 2: just had a fireman on. This is how I know this.
- 17:39Speaker 2: We just had a fireman on. And he mentioned that
- 17:42Speaker 2: you were from that area.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Because I said, well, Kevin James might be coming on.
- 17:45Speaker 1: He's like, oh, he's from New Hyde Park.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And we had this guy, Tony Bonfiglio. He was, there
- 17:50Speaker 1: he is right there. He was a firefighter during 9-11.
- 17:54Speaker 1: He did 22 years on Ladder 34. Wow. Which was
- 17:56Speaker 1: Washington Heights. And he just had the best stories about
- 17:59Speaker 1: growing up in New Hyde Park and where he went
- 18:01Speaker 1: to like interview to be the fireman. And him and
- 18:04Speaker 1: his buddies just screwing around in the area and just
- 18:06Speaker 1: going to like different music clubs and listening to cover
- 18:09Speaker 1: bands and stuff like that.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Oh, I love it.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Dude. But he's from Maniola. It was great.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a lot of good people from there, really. Yeah,
- 18:16Speaker 2: it's a really cool experience.
- 18:17Speaker 1: It feels like that.
- 18:19Speaker 2: It is. It was fun growing up, man, which for me, like,
- 18:23Speaker 2: helped and stand up and helped and everything. Like, just
- 18:26Speaker 2: had a good, fun childhood. It was really, really cool,
- 18:29Speaker 2: funny people.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Was your brother funny or something? You got a sister or.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Something that's funny? My brother was funny first. Yeah, we're
- 18:35Speaker 2: all funny. Like, it's all the dinner table stuff and,
- 18:38Speaker 2: you know, putting on little shows when the relatives come over.
- 18:40Speaker 2: that type of stuff. And then, uh, eventually I was
- 18:44Speaker 2: playing football in college and, uh, I realized the dream
- 18:48Speaker 2: when you're, when you're not starting in division three, were
- 18:51Speaker 2: you at Oneonta? No, I was at Cortland and I
- 18:53Speaker 2: never finished. I was, I was drinking a lot. You're like,
- 18:56Speaker 2: we were partying up there. It was crazy. It was
- 18:58Speaker 2: a crazy, uh, that's up there by Syracuse and all
- 19:01Speaker 2: that stuff. And Cortland, Ithaca, Ithaca, it's in Ithaca, isn't it? No, it's,
- 19:05Speaker 2: it's near Ithaca. Oh yeah. There I am. That was
- 19:08Speaker 2: me playing football in, uh, yeah. I think that's high school. But, yes,
- 19:13Speaker 2: that was when I played. And then once I realized
- 19:16Speaker 2: there was a guy so much better than me, I go,
- 19:18Speaker 2: I'm not going to do this anymore. What do I do?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Did you have a nickname on the team or not?
- 19:22Speaker 2: I think it was the Hydrant. I don't think it
- 19:28Speaker 2: was because of what you think. I think it was
- 19:29Speaker 2: just a different reason. I'm not sure of the reason.
- 19:31Speaker 1: The Hydrant, huh?
- 19:32Speaker 2: Yeah, because I was low. I was low to the ground,
- 19:36Speaker 2: and I wet myself a lot. Yeah. So, I mean,
- 19:39Speaker 2: it was just a weird thing. But, no, I mean,
- 19:44Speaker 2: once I realized that wasn't going on anyway. I never
- 19:46Speaker 2: finished Cortland, too. I got out of college.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Did they give you an honorary thing like that in America?
- 19:50Speaker 2: Or something? They would give it to me now, but
- 19:52Speaker 2: I don't want to go back now. I don't want to.
- 19:53Speaker 2: I'll get you a degree, man. Really? Should I go back?
- 19:56Speaker 1: I mean, I wouldn't say, I'm not going to tell
- 19:58Speaker 1: you not to get your education.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe I should, right? No, I shouldn't. For what?
- 20:03Speaker 2: What am I going to use it for? I don't know.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I got urban planning. That's mine.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Did you finish college? Yeah, I finished college.
- 20:08Speaker 1: It took me almost 11 years.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Where'd you go? I went online.
- 20:12Speaker 1: 11 years for college? I went offline also.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Oh, you did? Yeah.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I went to a lot of schools. I went to Arizona.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Where else did I go?
- 20:19Speaker 1: I went to Santa Monica College. I went to the
- 20:21Speaker 1: University of New Orleans.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Why did you not finish at one?
- 20:23Speaker 1: LSU, College of Charleston. I don't know why. Oh, I
- 20:27Speaker 1: started doing comedy, and I would hit the road, and
- 20:29Speaker 1: I'd be like, And then I'd have to pick back
- 20:31Speaker 1: up and do a semester, and it was just piecemeal.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Did you get into it through improv or just right
- 20:35Speaker 2: into stand-up?
- 20:36Speaker 1: Just got into stand-up. I was just like, you know,
- 20:39Speaker 1: I think I... Mark Gross, I think, was the first
- 20:42Speaker 1: comedian maybe I ever saw. Bring him up. Bring up
- 20:45Speaker 1: a picture.
- 20:45Speaker 2: What year did you start?
- 20:46Speaker 1: I started in 2005. Oh, my goodness. That is so crazy.
- 20:54Speaker 1: I saw this guy perform. And I'd seen, like, Chris
- 20:59Speaker 1: Rock's my favorite comedian growing up. I'd seen, like, you know,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I'd seen comedy, but I'd never seen it live.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:05Speaker 1: And we went to college where it was like, at LSU,
- 21:08Speaker 1: they'd call you and be like, you got 30 free
- 21:10Speaker 1: tickets tonight.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 21:11Speaker 1: You're like, what? Cause there's paper in the room, but
- 21:14Speaker 1: you'd be so excited.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah. You just to get a gift. Yeah. So you go.
- 21:17Speaker 1: And I went and I saw him and I was like,
- 21:19Speaker 1: it changed you.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I was like, Oh, this can really be like a thing.
- 21:24Speaker 2: That you, you wanted to do right away. Or you thought, I.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Don't think I knew I wanted to do it, but
- 21:29Speaker 1: I just, I liked being funny. And then I was like, Oh,
- 21:31Speaker 1: this can like, there's a, this is a real path.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I just never connected the dots. I need like dot
- 21:37Speaker 1: to dot to dot. I need dots between the dots
- 21:39Speaker 1: to connect them, you know? And, um, and yeah, so that,
- 21:43Speaker 1: that made me like start to, I think, have the bug.
- 21:45Speaker 1: And then I got to LA and then, and then
- 21:47Speaker 1: I started just going up, you know?
- 21:49Speaker 2: Dude, I was in Vegas when I saw you and
- 21:52Speaker 2: heard about you, you know, I heard about you or
- 21:55Speaker 2: saw you, your face was the whole side of the hotel.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah. You remember, did you see that? That was badass.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I was like, who's this? I was like, my goodness.
- 22:07Speaker 2: I checked you out, dude, and that was awesome. That's
- 22:09Speaker 2: really cool, man. That was cool.
- 22:10Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 22:11Speaker 2: That's it.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Just to think that you saw that.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. That's cool. I was like, whoa, I don't
- 22:16Speaker 2: get that. I never got that. That was big, man. No, no, no, no.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I'm serious. That was cool.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Yeah, some of that stuff is pretty cool. It's like
- 22:24Speaker 1: impossible to live up to that kind of hype.
- 22:26Speaker 2: That is, but it's still, man, that's cool.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Yeah, stuff like that's kind of interesting sometimes, I guess.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah, there it is.
- 22:32Speaker 1: See, it is.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Look at that, man. That's exactly what I saw, and
- 22:35Speaker 2: I was like, whoa, this guy looks like. Salome-o. Look
- 22:41Speaker 2: at that look, right? That's a hero.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I'm looking for the shooter from that shooting they had
- 22:45Speaker 1: there a few years ago.
- 22:45Speaker 2: That's right. That was rough.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a surprise. Anyway, I fucking really ruined
- 22:50Speaker 1: that compliment you were giving me, but thank you.
- 22:51Speaker 2: No, it's true. It's true. I remember seeing that being there, Vegas,
- 22:54Speaker 2: and I was like, whoa. It's an instant bit of like,
- 22:59Speaker 2: who's this guy? Like a little bit of fear. Oh, yeah.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I'm always like, oh, my gosh, this new guy. You know,
- 23:04Speaker 2: I'm trying to fill this room. I hope I do
- 23:06Speaker 2: well tonight. And this guy's got the side of a building.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I'm like, good for him.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Because we needed that much advertisement.
- 23:14Speaker 2: True.
- 23:15Speaker 1: We started small. We started on thimbles.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Just handing him out on guitar picks.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a great idea. This episode is brought to
- 23:25Speaker 1: you by Pepsi. And we've actually got their Super Bowl
- 23:29Speaker 1: commercial that premiered last night on Let's take a look
- 23:33Speaker 1: at it right here. Oh, blind taste test. My whole
- 23:39Speaker 1: life's a blind taste test. This bears in therapy or therapy,
- 23:45Speaker 1: I think they call it. I don't even know. Whatever
- 23:47Speaker 1: this is about, I'm in. Cheap furniture. Tell me about
- 23:51Speaker 1: your mother.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Mother longing. Is this me? Staring at women through windows.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Yep.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Oh, that's sweet. That's nice. Let's go, bear, with your
- 24:11Speaker 1: lady at a concert. Oh, that's a pretty cold play
- 24:16Speaker 1: right there. Me and this bear are really similar. Drinking games, therapy,
- 24:23Speaker 1: cheap furniture, and longing for a woman through a pane
- 24:27Speaker 1: of glass. Peeping Toming, we call it. But I guess
- 24:29Speaker 1: in the animal kingdom, it's more of like an acceptable pastime.
- 24:33Speaker 1: All right, moving on. But actually kind of staying right here,
- 24:37Speaker 1: some of my friends bug me that I choose Pepsi
- 24:41Speaker 1: over Coke. But there's actually been blind taste tests that
- 24:44Speaker 1: prove that Pepsi Zero Sugar tastes better than Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.
- 24:48Speaker 1: There's even a name for it. It's called the Pepsi Paradox.
- 24:51Speaker 1: It's the idea that once bias and labels disappear, cola
- 24:56Speaker 1: drinkers prefer the taste of Pepsi Zero Sugar.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yep.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Pepsi first showed this 50 years ago with their iconic
- 25:03Speaker 1: Pepsi Challenge. when they had people try Coke and Pepsi
- 25:07Speaker 1: without the labels, and the results were clear. When you
- 25:11Speaker 1: take labels out of the equation and you just focus
- 25:14Speaker 1: on taste, people choose Pepsi. I mean, that's what the
- 25:17Speaker 1: Super Bowl commercial was showing. There's a blindfolded, cola-loving polar bear,
- 25:24Speaker 1: and he chooses Pepsi, zero sugar. Dude, my freaking blind
- 25:29Speaker 1: cousin chooses Pepsi. He just emailed me. How can he email?
- 25:34Speaker 1: Maybe he could Pepsi for a second.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Hey, quiet down. Bad joke.
- 25:39Speaker 1: It's the question that Pepsi is putting out there. Is
- 25:42Speaker 1: your cola choice actually about taste? Because they redid the
- 25:47Speaker 1: Pepsi challenge in 2025. And guess what? 66% of people
- 25:54Speaker 1: chose Pepsi zero sugar over Coca-Cola zero sugar. And it
- 25:59Speaker 1: just makes you think if nobody told you what you
- 26:02Speaker 1: were supposed to like, what would you actually choose? The
- 26:06Speaker 1: public has spoken, and Pepsi Zero Sugar tastes better than
- 26:10Speaker 1: Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. If you're curious, go try Pepsi Zero Sugar.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Let your taste decide. When your comedy first started, was
- 26:19Speaker 1: it just something you wanted to do? Did you know
- 26:20Speaker 1: it kind of? I know it's such an old question,
- 26:22Speaker 1: but you and I don't really know each other.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I didn't know what I wanted to do. When I
- 26:26Speaker 2: got out of college, I left college. I didn't finish.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I went home for the summer. and my brother started
- 26:32Speaker 2: doing improv and I was like, I was bouncing at
- 26:35Speaker 2: the time and I didn't know what I wanted to do. Uh,
- 26:38Speaker 2: but I didn't want to do this. I would, I
- 26:39Speaker 2: just wanted to try something. And I always follow him
- 26:42Speaker 2: into other things. So he'd be like, ah, you come into,
- 26:44Speaker 2: you know, whatever it is, you know? So I, I,
- 26:47Speaker 2: I ended up doing a small community theater play and
- 26:50Speaker 2: I said this, you know, then I started doing an
- 26:52Speaker 2: improv group with him, uh, and their, uh, buddies. And, uh,
- 26:57Speaker 2: I fell in love with it. And then, and then
- 26:58Speaker 2: it just progressed into standup. And I did my first
- 27:01Speaker 2: standup first night was in 1989, July 26th, 1989. That's
- 27:05Speaker 2: how long I've been doing it. And, uh, no, I
- 27:09Speaker 2: loved it. I mean, and, uh, I, I crushed the
- 27:11Speaker 2: first night I ever did it, which I'm thankful for
- 27:14Speaker 2: because the second night I ate it so bad with
- 27:18Speaker 2: the same material and I didn't know, you know, and
- 27:19Speaker 2: if I would have ate it first, I think I
- 27:21Speaker 2: never would have done it again. But, uh, so I'm
- 27:24Speaker 2: thankful that I did okay. And then, uh, No, I
- 27:27Speaker 2: love it, man. I love it.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Was your brother weird about it, that you came in
- 27:31Speaker 1: and liked his thing?
- 27:32Speaker 2: No, you know what? I got to say, he was
- 27:34Speaker 2: really cool about it. He would tell me, you want
- 27:37Speaker 2: to do this? Okay, if you want to do this,
- 27:39Speaker 2: come and do it. And I would start to do it.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Back then, we would buy these calendars, completely empty. And
- 27:45Speaker 2: I was working at Grainger, and it was like my
- 27:47Speaker 2: last day job. Grainger, the equipment? Yes, that's what I did.
- 27:51Speaker 2: I was in the back. It was hot as can be,
- 27:53Speaker 2: and I had to fill orders everywhere. And I hated
- 27:55Speaker 2: everything about it because it was miserable. I was just
- 27:57Speaker 2: trying to work my way up to the air conditioning.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yeah, there's hella mice in there too.
- 28:00Speaker 2: There's everything in there. So I'm just driving a forklift
- 28:04Speaker 2: and I'm working hard and I'm trying to fill my
- 28:08Speaker 2: calendar with these stand-up dates. And it would just be
- 28:11Speaker 2: like once a week or whatever it is. And then
- 28:14Speaker 2: my brother called me one night, and he goes, what
- 28:16Speaker 2: are you doing tonight? And I go, I'm staying home.
- 28:17Speaker 2: And he's like, what?
- 28:18Speaker 1: Because you have to sign up for open mic nights. Yeah,
- 28:21Speaker 1: you got to sign up sometimes in advance or that
- 28:22Speaker 1: sort of thing. You got to get there early.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I go, he's like, why aren't you out at the
- 28:24Speaker 2: club tonight? And I go, I didn't get a spot.
- 28:27Speaker 2: He's like, so what? Why aren't you going out there
- 28:29Speaker 2: making something happen? Go look. Somebody falls out, or you
- 28:33Speaker 2: meet somebody or talk to somebody. And I'm like, all right.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And I went that night, and I met somebody, and
- 28:38Speaker 2: I became my first agent. So he was right, man.
- 28:40Speaker 2: He helped me. You know, a lot in that. And
- 28:43Speaker 2: he was cool with helping me out. And he was
- 28:46Speaker 2: the funny one, you said? Yes, he was. I mean,
- 28:49Speaker 2: we're all funny. The whole family was funny. He was
- 28:51Speaker 2: the first one to start it, to get going that direction.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Cause it's interesting how, how like that happens. And I
- 28:57Speaker 2: was like, yeah, like my brother was a funny guy.
- 28:59Speaker 2: And so I think that's why, like, you.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Know, why I think of why I wanted to be like, yeah,
- 29:03Speaker 1: I think you're just trying to like, did your brother
- 29:05Speaker 1: do standup? No, he was just like, probably just desperate
- 29:08Speaker 1: for attention like me, but he was also, you know, he,
- 29:10Speaker 1: he was a funny guy, right?
- 29:12Speaker 2: There are a lot of funny guys in school that
- 29:13Speaker 2: were like, he didn't get a standup. Oh, dude, right.
- 29:15Speaker 2: That would be, I'm like, The best. That would be
- 29:17Speaker 2: the best.
- 29:18Speaker 1: And I'm so glad you didn't do it. Oh, dude,
- 29:20Speaker 1: my friend Scott was like the funniest kid to me,
- 29:22Speaker 1: and I'm like, some of the people are like, Dio,
- 29:24Speaker 1: you're funny. I'm like, dude, there's so many people who
- 29:27Speaker 1: just never really just went and did it.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Yeah, because, I mean, honestly, being funny with your, and
- 29:33Speaker 2: making that leap to doing it in front of people
- 29:36Speaker 2: and developing, it is a different thing, though. It's like
- 29:38Speaker 2: you've got to create it and kind of get, used to.
- 29:40Speaker 2: It's a different animal, right?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Because I know my buddies are so funny. I've got
- 29:46Speaker 2: a buddy who's so funny, but when he doesn't, I go,
- 29:48Speaker 2: do that impression in front of someone else, he can't
- 29:51Speaker 2: do it. He folds like a house, man.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 29:54Speaker 2: He's just, it's rough. It's rough, and I look bad.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Oh, dude, the worst is when, oh, sometimes you do
- 30:00Speaker 1: look bad because of other people. I remember this. I
- 30:02Speaker 1: dated this girl. She didn't know how to stand out
- 30:05Speaker 1: of the way of where people were walking.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Oh. See, that would drive me nuts.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Bro, I would have to go hide in the fucking bathroom.
- 30:14Speaker 2: No, that's brutal.
- 30:15Speaker 1: We'd be talking. She would, like, take a step back.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I'm like, this is where all the people are walking.
- 30:20Speaker 1: And it was like, and people bump into her. And
- 30:22Speaker 1: then guys were like, you know.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I'm out.
- 30:25Speaker 1: It's just like, oh.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I dated a girl who would take five seconds before
- 30:29Speaker 2: she would realize that a waiter is there asking her
- 30:31Speaker 2: for something. And every time. And I'd have to go.
- 30:35Speaker 2: He's looking at me, and she'd just be like this
- 30:37Speaker 2: in a daze every time, five seconds, and then she'd
- 30:39Speaker 2: come out of it, and I'm like, I can't go on.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I can't go on. I couldn't be married to that.
- 30:44Speaker 2: So I was like, there's no use in me being here.
- 30:45Speaker 1: It's the little things. Dude, I dated a girl that
- 30:47Speaker 1: I was in love with, and then we were kind
- 30:49Speaker 1: of like canoodling or snuggling or whatever they used to
- 30:52Speaker 1: call it. I don't know why they don't call it that,
- 30:55Speaker 1: but we were canoodling, I guess now it's called. But
- 30:59Speaker 1: her head was really small. She had big hair. And
- 31:02Speaker 1: her head was so small.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 1: And I was like, I felt.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Did you like that, though? Or it was a point
- 31:08Speaker 2: where you go, I want to help her and be
- 31:12Speaker 2: with her? Or is it like that small? No. Like
- 31:17Speaker 2: how small, though? Like a ballpoint pen? Or are we
- 31:20Speaker 2: talking like.
- 31:20Speaker 1: You know that day when you only knew about baseball,
- 31:23Speaker 1: and then one day you're at PE, and they show
- 31:24Speaker 1: you softball?
- 31:25Speaker 2: Yes. OK.
- 31:26Speaker 1: And you get that ball, and you're like, what the?
- 31:28Speaker 1: What is this? This. And you're like, oh, this is
- 31:31Speaker 1: like a baseball with like intestinal issues or whatever. You
- 31:34Speaker 1: know what I'm saying?
- 31:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a baseball with inflammation.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Yes, yes, it's a baseball that has, yeah, that has
- 31:42Speaker 1: not had proper dieting.
- 31:45Speaker 2: My heart melts for the physical things more, but I
- 31:48Speaker 2: dated a girl once who would just say the phrase,
- 31:51Speaker 2: rattle your cage every time. She's like, hey, and I'm like,
- 31:56Speaker 2: what are you doing? And she's like, I'm just calling
- 31:58Speaker 2: a rattle your cage. And I'm like, I can't go on. Yeah, dude.
- 32:03Speaker 2: That's a buddy of mine's joke. He sucks. Oh, it is? Well,
- 32:06Speaker 2: it happened to a buddy of mine, but that is
- 32:08Speaker 2: a thing that I would literally get out of.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd be out.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Wouldn't that be something like, she goes, hey, just calling
- 32:13Speaker 2: to rattle your cage.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I would fucking rattle my phone against the wall. I
- 32:18Speaker 1: would rattle my freaking head off a balcony.
- 32:21Speaker 2: I love it.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Dude, yes. I would also, I dated a girl. We
- 32:26Speaker 1: would be sleeping. She'd get up in the middle of
- 32:28Speaker 1: the night. put a bunch of M & Ms and
- 32:30Speaker 1: chocolate in her mouth and come right back in her
- 32:31Speaker 1: fucking bed. She said, like, sometimes I can't fall back
- 32:36Speaker 1: asleep unless there's chocolate in my mouth. And I was like,
- 32:38Speaker 1: that's crazy.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot of problems with that.
- 32:41Speaker 1: But that was crazy, dude. I had a girl who
- 32:44Speaker 1: made me roll her up in a blanket so she
- 32:46Speaker 1: could go to bed at night.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Burrito style?
- 32:47Speaker 1: Yeah. Or like the lumpia, yeah.
- 32:50Speaker 2: No way, like the lumpia.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I had a girl just, I didn't even realize
- 32:53Speaker 1: that until just now.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Did you have to unroll her in the morning or
- 32:55Speaker 2: you just left her? No? You just leave her? Oh, dude,
- 32:58Speaker 2: I didn't even know her that well. You can't get out. Yeah, yeah.
- 33:02Speaker 2: You get out on your own risk. She doesn't have
- 33:03Speaker 2: claustrophobic issues, though, you know that. So if you're ever
- 33:05Speaker 2: stuck in an elevator with her, you're the one you
- 33:09Speaker 2: want to be with. She's dynamite. Yeah, you're right.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I need to look at the other side of the coin.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 33:12Speaker 1: But definitely.
- 33:13Speaker 2: There's always a bright side. Yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I sometimes get stuck on the other side. And I'm like,
- 33:17Speaker 1: I know it's brighter over there, but let me mill
- 33:19Speaker 1: around over here in the shadows.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Well, look at both. I mean, Little Head, you know,
- 33:25Speaker 2: Burrito Girl, all these things can be, there is a
- 33:27Speaker 2: positive side to.
- 33:28Speaker 1: It, right?
- 33:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, dude.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I mean, I just, yeah, that was a lot for me.
- 33:34Speaker 1: But then also I'm like, ugh, I don't know. But
- 33:36Speaker 1: there's a lot of things that I think have probably
- 33:38Speaker 1: kept me kind of single over the years, you know?
- 33:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Did you ever try one of those matchmaking services or no?
- 33:42Speaker 1: Because I get approached by those all the time now.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I was before them, I think. Maybe they existed. But,
- 33:48Speaker 2: I mean, I was before the, I think, the Internet
- 33:51Speaker 2: and all that crap. You know, I got married in 2000.
- 33:54Speaker 2: What is it? three or four is it what was
- 33:56Speaker 2: going on uh 2004 i got married was that what
- 34:00Speaker 2: was a what was around then i don't even know
- 34:01Speaker 2: if anything was around but i never used it used
- 34:03Speaker 2: them anyway.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Yeah how would you meet people just loitering or whatever.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Yeah it was uh you know we we tried uh
- 34:09Speaker 2: i mean i met my wife on a blind date
- 34:11Speaker 2: i went someone set me up because uh leah remini
- 34:15Speaker 2: who was on my show with me the king of
- 34:17Speaker 2: queens yeah she saw that i had nobody and she
- 34:20Speaker 2: set me up with uh No, so it was one
- 34:22Speaker 2: of her good friends. No, it wasn't her. She set
- 34:25Speaker 2: me up. She didn't set me up with a girl.
- 34:28Speaker 2: She did over the years. She tried to. But she
- 34:30Speaker 2: set me up with a house decorator because she came
- 34:33Speaker 2: to my– when we had the King of Queens, I
- 34:36Speaker 2: got my first place, and she saw how it was decorated,
- 34:40Speaker 2: and it was terrible. I had, like, prong lamps and posters. Like,
- 34:43Speaker 2: I was living with my brother, and it was like–
- 34:45Speaker 2: she's like, you can't do this. You can't decorate a house. Like,
- 34:47Speaker 2: this is the way forward.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 34:48Speaker 2: So she got a decorator for me, which I never
- 34:50Speaker 2: knew about or anything like that. And wasn't me. And
- 34:52Speaker 2: this decorator came into my life and she was a
- 34:54Speaker 2: horrible decorator, but she set me up. She really was.
- 34:57Speaker 2: She wasn't great either. I didn't like it, but she,
- 35:00Speaker 2: she saw that I was lonely and like I had nobody.
- 35:01Speaker 2: And she, she set me up with somebody she knew.
- 35:04Speaker 2: And then it was like, uh, it was amazing.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Did it change like that for you when you kind
- 35:08Speaker 1: of realize like, this is something, cause it's funny how
- 35:10Speaker 1: you people go from a moment. I have a friend,
- 35:12Speaker 1: she's a comedian. She was like, I don't know what's
- 35:14Speaker 1: going to happen. You know, I'm going to sell my
- 35:16Speaker 1: eggs or I'm going to bury them over here or whatever,
- 35:18Speaker 1: you know. And then out of the blue, one day
- 35:22Speaker 1: I called her. She's like, yep, I'm moving to Florida.
- 35:24Speaker 1: We're getting married. And it's just like.
- 35:25Speaker 2: It can turn on a dime.
- 35:26Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 35:27Speaker 2: It can.
- 35:28Speaker 1: That's the thing you got to remember.
- 35:29Speaker 2: And by the way, I think most of the time
- 35:31Speaker 2: it does when you're not trying, right? I mean, the
- 35:33Speaker 2: thing where you're not looking.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what they say.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Right? I don't know. I think for me it did.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I was just kind of lost. And she was like, try.
- 35:38Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, I'll give it a shot.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Never thinking anything would come of it. And then I
- 35:43Speaker 2: never left her, that was it.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Were you kind of a romantic guy? Are you kind
- 35:46Speaker 1: of like that guy?
- 35:47Speaker 2: No, I don't think so. I had to fake, like
- 35:51Speaker 2: she wanted to go out and we went to a
- 35:53Speaker 2: sushi restaurant the first night and I never ate sushi.
- 35:57Speaker 2: So she's like, do you eat sushi? I go, yeah.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I lied right out of the gate just because I
- 36:03Speaker 2: wanted to make things smooth. And we got there, and
- 36:06Speaker 2: it was just a rough. It was everything you don't
- 36:09Speaker 2: want to eat at a sushi restaurant made an appearance.
- 36:12Speaker 2: She was ordering. It was rough. And I had to
- 36:14Speaker 2: fake it and get through it, but I was drinking
- 36:16Speaker 2: a lot of beer to get through it. I was
- 36:19Speaker 2: taking it like a pill. You know, like I would
- 36:21Speaker 2: take the sushi like a pill? Yes. And I got
- 36:26Speaker 2: through that night. You're holding your nose. I was lying
- 36:28Speaker 2: about everything. She's like, do you jog in the morning?
- 36:30Speaker 2: I go, I jog every morning. I never jogged. We
- 36:32Speaker 2: started jogging, and I was like, what the? I got
- 36:34Speaker 2: to keep it up. And finally, we were close enough
- 36:37Speaker 2: where I go, I got to tell you some things here.
- 36:39Speaker 2: I don't do a lot of the stuff we've been doing.
- 36:42Speaker 2: I sit a lot more than we have been sitting.
- 36:45Speaker 2: And that was it. I was in enough of the relationship, though,
- 36:53Speaker 2: there where she was good with it. You know what
- 36:54Speaker 2: I'm saying? We knew each other. So she's like, okay.
- 36:56Speaker 2: And then the active things kind of fell off, and
- 36:58Speaker 2: it was fun.
- 37:00Speaker 1: That's cool, man.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Yeah. How hard are you looking right now? right now
- 37:06Speaker 2: I'm actually trying to need to get back into it
- 37:07Speaker 2: again I know you don't want to.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Yeah no I'm actually just trying to take a step
- 37:09Speaker 1: back right now and I'm just gonna like spend a
- 37:11Speaker 1: little bit of time with myself and see what's kind
- 37:13Speaker 1: of going.
- 37:13Speaker 2: On you working out you taking care of yourself yeah I'm.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Doing pretty good man I'm fasting today actually.
- 37:18Speaker 3: You fast I fasted yesterday did you yes let's go
- 37:21Speaker 3: let's go baby dude yeah I fasted today I fasted
- 37:23Speaker 3: let me see I did like three days last week
- 37:27Speaker 3: I just got into it this year And so it's
- 37:29Speaker 3: been interesting.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I feel super dehydrated today, but it's like some days
- 37:32Speaker 1: that happens.
- 37:33Speaker 2: That's the biggest thing. You got to replace the water.
- 37:36Speaker 2: And by the way, if you do fast the next day,
- 37:38Speaker 2: you don't go to Nashville. It's just Nashville. I just
- 37:40Speaker 2: went to the deli here and crushed it. It was great. Well,
- 37:44Speaker 2: that's the thing. Like I bounced back and forth. I
- 37:45Speaker 2: can do a day fasting. And then the next day
- 37:47Speaker 2: you should just kind of be, be good on your body.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Cause it's like it, it, it, it digested, like it's
- 37:53Speaker 2: feeling good. And then you can't put crap back in.
- 37:55Speaker 2: So I got to stop doing that. I, I, That's
- 37:57Speaker 2: obviously the battle for me, the food. But that's awesome
- 38:00Speaker 2: that you're fasting.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I like it.
- 38:01Speaker 2: What do you fast for? Because you don't need to
- 38:03Speaker 2: lose weight. So you're fasting for?
- 38:04Speaker 1: Just for health reasons. Just because they say like autophagy
- 38:07Speaker 1: your body gets into. And then it helps fight like
- 38:09Speaker 1: cancer cells and things like that. Like your body starts
- 38:11Speaker 1: taking care of itself. And because my brain gets clear.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I have noticed. It's funny. I just noticed this the
- 38:18Speaker 1: other day. I think I'm having dreams that seem more
- 38:21Speaker 1: relevant to like direction in my life.
- 38:25Speaker 2: And like.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Some sort of like information, not all the time, but
- 38:29Speaker 1: a little bit more than just like dreaming that I'm
- 38:32Speaker 1: like attacking somebody with a net, you know, like a,
- 38:35Speaker 1: you know, fighting a neighbor, regular shit or waiting in
- 38:38Speaker 1: line or whatever.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Yes. Yes. But you have dreams of waiting in line.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Lou Ferrigno's in a lot of them.
- 38:45Speaker 2: No. Yeah. You and Lou Ferrigno are waiting in a line. Yeah.
- 38:48Speaker 1: At the post office and his wife's mad at him.
- 38:50Speaker 2: No, at him or you?
- 38:52Speaker 1: At him.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Are you in front of him or behind him? I'm
- 38:54Speaker 2: behind him. Yes?
- 38:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and I knew it was him.
- 38:56Speaker 2: So you see it going on. Yeah.
- 38:57Speaker 1: You see the whole relationship.
- 39:00Speaker 2: And then is the lady behind the counter going like, next?
- 39:02Speaker 2: Or you never get there? We're not that far out.
- 39:04Speaker 1: No.
- 39:04Speaker 2: You never get there.
- 39:05Speaker 1: We never get there.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Dude, that is the greatest dream of all time.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Dude, I probably had it 300 times where I finally
- 39:10Speaker 1: was able. You ever had a dream so many times
- 39:12Speaker 1: you're just on the edge of it when you wake up?
- 39:13Speaker 2: You're like, what? Yeah.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I've had it so many times. What is it? And
- 39:16Speaker 1: you're like, it's horseradish.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Dude, yeah, that's one of a big one for me.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I love it.
- 39:25Speaker 1: But recently I've been getting, I've just been getting a
- 39:27Speaker 1: little more information. Anyway, I just think it's, I feel.
- 39:30Speaker 1: clear in a lot of ways. It's helping me feel
- 39:32Speaker 1: a little bit more inspired. I think to take care
- 39:34Speaker 1: of myself because I think it starts to show me
- 39:36Speaker 1: that I'm willing to make some, uh, sacrifices even in
- 39:40Speaker 1: little ways that, that's what it is.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Yeah. And that's, have you done it? You're a, yeah,
- 39:46Speaker 2: I did fasting. Like, uh, I do it a little bit.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Every once in a while I'll do it, but I
- 39:50Speaker 2: did a really long one. And it was great. And
- 39:53Speaker 2: then I got fat again. I told Rogan this. I
- 39:55Speaker 2: did 41 and a half days, just water. But honestly,
- 40:01Speaker 2: I didn't rid myself of, like I was doing it
- 40:04Speaker 2: for like different, like spiritual reasons. Like I wanted to
- 40:07Speaker 2: clear out everything. And because the whole journey I was watching,
- 40:14Speaker 2: like food pictures of food and going, this is what
- 40:16Speaker 2: I'm going to eat when I'm done. I can't wait
- 40:17Speaker 2: to get back to, I never really broke the habit
- 40:19Speaker 2: of going, I don't need food. It doesn't matter. I
- 40:21Speaker 2: would feed, you know, I would cook food for my
- 40:24Speaker 2: kids and the smell of food. I'd be like, Hey,
- 40:25Speaker 2: can I make you a sandwich? Because I was living
- 40:27Speaker 2: through that and I wouldn't eat it. And I was
- 40:29Speaker 2: fine with that, but I needed to see the food
- 40:31Speaker 2: and hold it. I'd smell it, you know, and then I,
- 40:33Speaker 2: and I hand it off and, um, it didn't break the,
- 40:38Speaker 2: the real bind. You know what I'm saying? The, the, the,
- 40:41Speaker 2: the cord of, of being detached from, from stuff, you know,
- 40:45Speaker 2: and that's what I got to do in my life
- 40:46Speaker 2: with everything, you know, because I'm an addicted guy. Like,
- 40:50Speaker 2: I'll just be like, oh, I got to cut it off.
- 40:51Speaker 2: That's it.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's what I'm doing, kind of trying
- 40:54Speaker 1: to do with dating right now is just like, let
- 40:56Speaker 1: me take a break from like, because if I put
- 40:58Speaker 1: myself into a moment over here and I'm in this
- 41:01Speaker 1: over here and then I'm going on maybe a date
- 41:02Speaker 1: that I'm not interested in, but maybe over here somebody
- 41:04Speaker 1: I am interested in, but now I don't have time
- 41:06Speaker 1: because I'm kind of dividing it up and then I'm like,
- 41:09Speaker 1: let me just see what's going on.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 41:12Speaker 1: You know, here at the factory, you know?
- 41:14Speaker 2: Yeah. By the way, I had a dream that I
- 41:16Speaker 2: was on the ledge of a building and I'm falling.
- 41:19Speaker 2: I've had this one a few times. I'm falling, but
- 41:21Speaker 2: I never leave the ledge. I'm just yelling the whole time.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Like I'm falling down. Do you know what I'm saying?
- 41:26Speaker 2: So I'm like, ah, but I didn't, I never jumped.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I'm just looking.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Yeah. And then I wake up. That one comes back. Anyway,
- 41:33Speaker 2: I just want to throw that in there.
- 41:34Speaker 1: I'd be so pissed if I'm down there.
- 41:36Speaker 2: I'm like, what is this?
- 41:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Look at this poser.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yes, exactly. You're looking like, is he doing it? He's
- 41:42Speaker 2: just yelling. He's got all the accoutrement, but no fall.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Dude, the weird guy at a suicide jump is the
- 41:49Speaker 1: guy who's just waiting down there.
- 41:50Speaker 2: For the guy to jump. Yes, just like this, not
- 41:52Speaker 2: doing anything.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Arrest him.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what you should do because this guy's not
- 41:55Speaker 2: either helping or pushing. Either one. He's not doing anything.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Either run upstairs, do something, make a move, but he's
- 42:02Speaker 2: just waiting. These are the people in life we don't need.
- 42:05Speaker 1: The eating and the guy that's eating and waiting.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Eating. If you get nachos and you're pulling up and
- 42:10Speaker 2: you're waiting for a guy to jump.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you're like, hey, hey, hey.
- 42:14Speaker 2: No, I can't. Give me 30 seconds. Let me grab
- 42:15Speaker 2: those nachos. Ledge.
- 42:18Speaker 1: To dream of standing on a ledge represents being on
- 42:20Speaker 1: the verge of something.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Is it? Yeah.
- 42:22Speaker 1: You or someone else may be very close to finally
- 42:26Speaker 1: making a big decision. You may be feeling tense or
- 42:28Speaker 1: experiencing anxiety about a difficult change. alternatively alleged may reflect
- 42:32Speaker 1: how close you or someone else isn't close to going
- 42:34Speaker 1: in a farcish.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Wow.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Shit, I messed up the sentence.
- 42:37Speaker 2: That's okay. Because you know what? It still kind of
- 42:41Speaker 2: hits the area. You know what I'm saying? I kind
- 42:42Speaker 2: of got the gist of it.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks. Yeah, Rogan's crazy. Have you been on his
- 42:47Speaker 1: show before?
- 42:47Speaker 2: I did Joe's show. I've known Joe for got to
- 42:51Speaker 2: be 35, maybe more than 35 years. Oh, wow.
- 42:53Speaker 1: What's 1990?
- 42:53Speaker 2: No, maybe 34. What is it? 1990s. 36 years, right? 26.
- 43:03Speaker 1: That's so wild.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. I, uh, he's the one who got me,
- 43:07Speaker 2: I mean, really with my manager and he's just, uh,
- 43:11Speaker 2: he's always been the guy that's just like, go follow
- 43:14Speaker 2: your own path. And, you know, he was the one
- 43:16Speaker 2: who got me out of, yeah, he got me out of.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Did he always seem so confident?
- 43:21Speaker 2: Yeah, he did. He just did. Um, he was the
- 43:26Speaker 2: one who got me out of, I was the standup
- 43:28Speaker 2: comedian behind the mic with the, you know, the sleeves
- 43:31Speaker 2: pushed up and the bolo tie. I don't know if
- 43:33Speaker 2: you remember these comics. These comics were the jackets, the
- 43:35Speaker 2: funny jackets, the color. And he just wasn't that guy.
- 43:38Speaker 2: He was just a half backwards guy and just go
- 43:41Speaker 2: out there. And he always telling me like, don't, I
- 43:43Speaker 2: was always like so desperate to get laughs and trying
- 43:45Speaker 2: so hard. And he was like, you know, don't give
- 43:48Speaker 2: them your jokes on a platter. He was the one
- 43:50Speaker 2: that told me like, Basically, make them comfortable in knowing
- 43:54Speaker 2: that whatever you say, you know, is funny. And if
- 43:57Speaker 2: they don't know it, like they got to catch up
- 43:58Speaker 2: and be part of it.
- 43:59Speaker 1: You know, right. Don't make it about the jokes. Make
- 44:01Speaker 1: it be you.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Yes. Yes. Yeah. He was such an influence.
- 44:06Speaker 1: So did other people see him? Because now people see him.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I mean, and I certainly do like as a, you know,
- 44:12Speaker 1: I don't know if it's a pioneer as much, but like,
- 44:14Speaker 1: I mean, he's the best in his space, like in podcasting.
- 44:17Speaker 1: His stand-up is just, I mean, he's just a killer.
- 44:20Speaker 2: He's always been. He just was like. He's super, super
- 44:24Speaker 2: intense in anything he does. Once he locks on doing it.
- 44:27Speaker 2: He just seems so confident. I told him, I think
- 44:32Speaker 2: God's going to make him one of the greatest saints
- 44:34Speaker 2: of the 21st century. I really do. I think this guy,
- 44:36Speaker 2: and I keep saying, because God's going to use him.
- 44:39Speaker 2: He's like, I don't know what the hell you're talking about.
- 44:40Speaker 2: He just goes, and he seeks truth, and he's a
- 44:43Speaker 2: guy that's just like, When he seeks it, he knows
- 44:46Speaker 2: it's true. He's unrelenting. Like, he just doesn't stop. Yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 2: And it's like, that's who... Like, he'll go so... He's crazy. Like,
- 44:53Speaker 2: I knew it was martial arts. It was jiu-jitsu. Always
- 44:56Speaker 2: like that. We started jiu-jitsu together, by the way. No.
- 44:58Speaker 2: I'm a blue belt. I'm a blue belt 30-something years.
- 45:02Speaker 2: He's crazy black belt. He's beyond... He's dark black belt.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Dude, he's so... He's... He's cafe de negron.
- 45:09Speaker 2: He is badass. He is the real deal. He really is. And...
- 45:14Speaker 2: And he was getting into the internet before anybody and
- 45:17Speaker 2: just searching these things in truth. I mean, he was
- 45:20Speaker 2: crazy about it. And I was just like, I'm always
- 45:23Speaker 2: behind the curve, way behind it.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Well, we need sleep, I think. He's like the kind
- 45:28Speaker 1: of guy, he's like, I don't know. He always just
- 45:30Speaker 1: seems to me like he's so, and he and I
- 45:33Speaker 1: know each other pretty well now. But he just is
- 45:36Speaker 1: always go, he's always go. And he's so curious and
- 45:38Speaker 1: he remembers everything. That's the craziest thing. You can't lie
- 45:41Speaker 1: to him because he remembers everything.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Yes.
- 45:43Speaker 1: So you're about to lie and you're like, oh shit.
- 45:45Speaker 2: No, and he'll call you out. That's what I love
- 45:47Speaker 2: about it. Even me, I've known him for 36 years now.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Even doing his podcast, it's like you got to be careful.
- 45:57Speaker 2: He'll be like, what? What do you mean? And it's
- 45:58Speaker 2: like a dog. It's a dog that caught you and
- 46:01Speaker 2: you're like– and you got to come– but I love
- 46:04Speaker 2: that because he's– there's such an innocence behind that. He
- 46:07Speaker 2: just wants to know the truth. He's like, that's not true.
- 46:09Speaker 2: You didn't say that or you didn't do it. So
- 46:11Speaker 2: you got to be careful.
- 46:12Speaker 1: He's kind of an oracle. I don't know if it's
- 46:14Speaker 1: an oracle, but he's kind of like a mirror of something.
- 46:16Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? There is something about that.
- 46:19Speaker 1: I think it's super– I totally believe it. Some people
- 46:21Speaker 1: give him a hard time, whatever, but to me, he's
- 46:23Speaker 1: always seemed very altruistic as to who he is, you know,
- 46:26Speaker 1: or trying to be the best of.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Who he is. That's it. Everybody falls. Everybody makes mistakes,
- 46:30Speaker 2: you know, and does things wrong. But I know this
- 46:33Speaker 2: guy is searching for truth, and he's always just calling
- 46:39Speaker 2: it out.
- 46:39Speaker 1: He's an astronaut, man.
- 46:41Speaker 2: He's everything.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Dude, yeah, I was at the UFC the other day,
- 46:43Speaker 1: and he brings these big bags of beef snacks, and
- 46:46Speaker 1: it's just beef and salt that's dried out beef.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Because he wants to get down from 2% to 1%
- 46:51Speaker 2: body fat? Is that it?
- 46:53Speaker 1: Yeah, he's probably doing something. Wow. He's always over there fucking,
- 46:57Speaker 1: you know, drinking fucking bat saliva or something, doing something,
- 47:00Speaker 1: trying to get an upper.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:02Speaker 1: But anyway, yeah, there it is, carnivore snacks. So he
- 47:04Speaker 1: has three bags, and he gave one to Daniel Cormier,
- 47:07Speaker 1: and then Daniel traded one of his.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Traded for what?
- 47:14Speaker 1: I had a tub of popcorn. And he couldn't keep
- 47:18Speaker 1: away from it.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Oh, I love it.
- 47:20Speaker 1: He's like, my hand just keeps ending up in there. DC.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:24Speaker 1: But anyway, that was pretty great, too. But I got
- 47:25Speaker 1: to eat a whole bag of those beef snacks by myself.
- 47:27Speaker 2: How were they? You know what?
- 47:28Speaker 1: They're really good. They're not too salty, so you don't get, like,
- 47:32Speaker 1: chip fatigue, you know? Right.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't get chip fatigue? Well, some
- 47:35Speaker 2: it's like you're chewing on the top of a shoe,
- 47:38Speaker 2: and it's just tiring. It's exhausting for the teeth.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Ugh. And it's not, like, jerky. Jerky to me sometimes
- 47:43Speaker 1: at a certain point seems— Like, what are we doing here?
- 47:45Speaker 2: Yes, it's a give up. You give up. Yeah.
- 47:48Speaker 1: But this is nothing like that.
- 47:49Speaker 2: That's cool. Yeah.
- 47:51Speaker 1: And it feels kind of carnivorous, I guess, in a sense. Yeah,
- 47:54Speaker 1: I enjoyed it.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Right.
- 47:56Speaker 1: But it's fun just seeing them over there with their snacks.
- 47:58Speaker 1: But sometimes you'll see Daniel Cormier over there. He'll have
- 48:00Speaker 1: a thing of summer.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Sausage over there. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 48:02Speaker 1: And it's frickin' February.
- 48:03Speaker 2: He dips.
- 48:04Speaker 1: And he's over there just slicing it off, you know?
- 48:07Speaker 2: I love it. I love it. He's a good man.
- 48:09Speaker 2: He's like me in that he loves his food. We
- 48:12Speaker 2: golf together. I golf with him.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Are you golfing with him?
- 48:15Speaker 2: I did golf with him and Chris Wybin. Chris Wybin
- 48:17Speaker 2: loves you too, by the way.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Chris Wybin's a cool guy.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Yeah, he loves you. I know Chris for Long Island guy. Oh, yeah? Yeah.
- 48:25Speaker 1: So whenever you were training, was he training too then?
- 48:27Speaker 2: Always training with him and their group. Ray Long going
- 48:30Speaker 2: over there.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Dude, that's cool.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Yeah, they're fun. They're a fun group. Long Island is
- 48:34Speaker 2: tough guys, man. A lot of good guys came out
- 48:36Speaker 2: of Long Island. Yeah. No, but it's fun. Him and DC,
- 48:41Speaker 2: we all went out and golfed and Had a blast. Oh,
- 48:44Speaker 2: is that me next to Wyman? That's you?
- 48:48Speaker 1: Wyman is hilarious, dude. He's got the best energy, bro.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a great guy. He's incredible.
- 48:53Speaker 1: They have a great show now that they do, too. Yes.
- 48:59Speaker 2: He was just telling me that. They're doing more and
- 49:00Speaker 2: more with him. And I said, man, I'm so happy
- 49:02Speaker 2: that he stopped fighting. I want them all to stop
- 49:05Speaker 2: fighting because I don't want anybody to get hurt. You
- 49:07Speaker 2: get to know all these guys. You're like, please don't
- 49:08Speaker 2: fight anymore. I can't– that's why I stopped watching. I
- 49:11Speaker 2: don't go anymore. I used to go all the time. Oh,
- 49:13Speaker 2: you did? Oh, I wouldn't– dude, I would go to
- 49:17Speaker 2: these fights before anybody was even there. Oh, wow. I
- 49:20Speaker 2: would hear the stomping on the canvas. There'd be nobody there. Dude,
- 49:23Speaker 2: that's when I go. Yes, I love that.
- 49:25Speaker 1: I go in the beginning.
- 49:26Speaker 2: It's quiet, and you hear a crack of a fist
- 49:29Speaker 2: into a jaw or something, and I loved every moment
- 49:32Speaker 2: of it, but I just couldn't do it anymore because
- 49:35Speaker 2: I would get to know these fighters. And I was like,
- 49:37Speaker 2: I couldn't. Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell, those fights.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I just saw Chuck Liddell. I thought he passed away.
- 49:44Speaker 1: And I was like, holy shit.
- 49:46Speaker 2: No, I couldn't. Look at you. You are there early.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Dude, I go early a lot.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Dude, I love that.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Last time I got there, too early.
- 49:52Speaker 2: I love that, man. So you're not showing up at
- 49:55Speaker 2: the main event, going in there and sitting down.
- 49:57Speaker 1: No, dude.
- 49:57Speaker 2: I love this.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I think this is amazing. These are like these people
- 50:00Speaker 1: that are doing the thing that they love the most.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 50:03Speaker 1: And some of them in the early, they're coming out
- 50:05Speaker 1: for the first time into this UFC. And they come
- 50:08Speaker 1: out and nobody's there.
- 50:09Speaker 2: It's like, what are you doing?
- 50:11Speaker 1: But, dude, sometimes you see some of the best fights early.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Yep.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it, dude.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Good for you. Yeah, that was it. And then I
- 50:18Speaker 2: would start to know these fighters and I couldn't watch
- 50:20Speaker 2: them anymore. I was there with Rich Franklin when he got,
- 50:23Speaker 2: knocked out by Anderson Silva. And it just, I was,
- 50:26Speaker 2: there was his wife, you know, watching this and just like,
- 50:28Speaker 2: you just stunned. And I'm like, I can't do this anymore.
- 50:31Speaker 2: So I stopped going. I couldn't do it. I didn't
- 50:34Speaker 2: want to see these guys. And I was telling him
- 50:35Speaker 2: that we, I wanted to say that I wanted to
- 50:37Speaker 2: get Chris out of fighting. Cause I was like, he's
- 50:39Speaker 2: had so many surgeries, broken leg, you know, all these things.
- 50:42Speaker 2: And it's like, just, he's a good looking guy, man. Do, do,
- 50:45Speaker 2: you know, get on TV and he's funny and he's,
- 50:47Speaker 2: you know, personable. So I'm glad to see he's doing
- 50:50Speaker 2: TV stuff.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Yeah. There's a lot of great guys over there. Angry Girls,
- 50:53Speaker 1: it's been fun. Yeah, being associated with that whole thing
- 50:55Speaker 1: has been just so exciting. Just to get to go
- 50:58Speaker 1: watch it, you know.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Do you train?
- 51:01Speaker 1: No, I trained for a little while, and then I
- 51:03Speaker 1: just kept getting hurt.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's tough.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Like my ribs, and I'd be having like some fucking
- 51:07Speaker 1: huge guy would be rolling over on me or something.
- 51:09Speaker 1: And it was just like, it was a lot. So
- 51:11Speaker 1: I think I'll do it again whenever I don't have
- 51:13Speaker 1: so much responsibility.
- 51:15Speaker 2: I got to do it when they work out the smell.
- 51:18Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? The smell of the room.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 51:20Speaker 2: I just, I can't do it. Not at 60. Like,
- 51:22Speaker 2: when I was younger, I was like, hey, you got
- 51:23Speaker 2: to be able, it doesn't matter what it is, you know.
- 51:26Speaker 2: At 60, you go, I don't need to smell this anymore.
- 51:29Speaker 1: You hit 60?
- 51:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I hit 60. Can you believe that? No way.
- 51:33Speaker 1: No, not at all.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Yes. You're a baby. I'm telling you, I've been around
- 51:37Speaker 2: a long time. So what I'm saying is, I don't
- 51:40Speaker 2: need the smell of a jujitsu room anymore.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:43Speaker 2: I'll do it privately. I'll do it like that way
- 51:44Speaker 2: for a while. And once, you know, because a wet gi...
- 51:48Speaker 2: I don't think there's much worse than that, going up
- 51:50Speaker 2: against a guy with a wet right, and you're in there,
- 51:53Speaker 2: and he's got your face, and he's cranking it, and
- 51:56Speaker 2: all you got is wet gi and chest hair.
- 52:00Speaker 1: That's past gay. It's past a gay feeling. I think
- 52:03Speaker 1: a gay feeling, it's beyond romance.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a control thing, and it's just not good.
- 52:12Speaker 1: And he got wet and then got cold and wet.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Yes. That's the thing. If somebody's warm and wet, at
- 52:18Speaker 2: least you're like. It's actually a bath. Yeah, that feels
- 52:20Speaker 2: a little bit more like a bath would feel. Cold
- 52:23Speaker 2: and wet is just, it's bad. And the smell.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's tough stuff, dude. Not my favorite.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Nope.
- 52:30Speaker 1: We've got another segment now brought to you by Pepsi.
- 52:34Speaker 1: You saw the bear, the myth, the legend in the
- 52:38Speaker 1: Super Bowl commercial where he chose Pepsi Zero Sugar. And
- 52:42Speaker 1: now we've got him in studio here. What's up, bear?
- 52:49Speaker 1: First off, thanks for coming. I don't even know how
- 52:51Speaker 1: you got here. Well, actually, we just had a huge
- 52:53Speaker 1: freeze here, so... Oh, you can't talk.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:59Speaker 1: I think what'll be easiest to get to know you,
- 53:01Speaker 1: I think, is if I ask you questions and you
- 53:04Speaker 1: just use these paddles. This or that. Does that make
- 53:07Speaker 1: sense to you? Okay. Let's get started. Okay, I gotta
- 53:13Speaker 1: ask you out the gate, big dog.
- 53:16Speaker 2: This.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Female polar bears or that thick raccoons Female polar bears, huh? Okay,
- 53:30Speaker 1: but if you get one of those snow racks going
- 53:32Speaker 1: and shorty thing Okay, let's keep it moving this Polar
- 53:39Speaker 1: Express or that Tokyo Drift Tokyo Drift? Really?
- 53:47Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 53:52Speaker 1: But Tom Hanks narrated Polar Express. Yeah, you're right, kind of. Dude,
- 53:58Speaker 1: this is just for me. Have you ever had Penguin?
- 54:02Speaker 1: How is it?
- 54:05Speaker 2: I knew it.
- 54:05Speaker 1: They won't let us have it. Dude, what's your stripper name,
- 54:08Speaker 1: you think? What do you mean? You live at the
- 54:11Speaker 1: North Pole. It's the biggest poll in the world. You
- 54:15Speaker 1: never even thought about your stripper name? It's the last
- 54:18Speaker 1: thing you ate in the street you grew up on. Yeah,
- 54:22Speaker 1: I think so. Yours would probably be like Snow Way.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Zero sugar.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Coming to the main glacier.
- 54:30Speaker 1: I like it.
- 54:32Speaker 2: I like it.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Zero sugar. That's what I'm talking about. Get that sugar
- 54:36Speaker 1: out of here, boy. Don't be crazy around me with
- 54:39Speaker 1: that sugar. I don't want no sugar, bear. I want
- 54:43Speaker 1: my bear to be sugar-free. Sugar-free! Sorry. Something took over me. Okay,
- 54:52Speaker 1: that's not edible. I don't care. We have another one.
- 54:56Speaker 1: So this, the first sip, or that, the last sip?
- 55:10Speaker 1: All sips. All right, this is the last one.
- 55:13Speaker 2: This is a big one.
- 55:15Speaker 1: This, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, or that, Pepsi Zero Sugar? It's
- 55:31Speaker 1: the truth. Pepsi Zero Sugar tastes better than Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.
- 55:37Speaker 1: That's his take, that's my take, but let your tastes decide.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Jeeps, where are you going? Oh, wherever you want, I guess.
- 55:52Speaker 1: Where does a polar bear sit? Wherever he wants. Was
- 55:57Speaker 1: it hard for you to adapt to married life once
- 55:59Speaker 1: you got married?
- 56:00Speaker 2: No. No, once I found her, it was like, I
- 56:05Speaker 2: remember I went away. I was with her for a while.
- 56:08Speaker 2: You know, it's like, this is it. I knew this
- 56:10Speaker 2: was it. And it wasn't because, oh, I got to
- 56:12Speaker 2: get married or anything like that. I could tell cause
- 56:14Speaker 2: I just didn't want to be away from her. And
- 56:16Speaker 2: I had to do a, uh, I think a couple
- 56:18Speaker 2: of gigs or whatever. I was on the road for
- 56:20Speaker 2: a while and she couldn't go. And I, I just
- 56:22Speaker 2: hated being away from her. I was calling her every
- 56:23Speaker 2: night and I was like, wow, I gotta get back there.
- 56:25Speaker 2: You know? And, uh, you had that feeling in a
- 56:27Speaker 2: long time. I hadn't, you know, not, not with who
- 56:31Speaker 2: I was dating and, and, and, uh, going out with.
- 56:34Speaker 2: So no, it wasn't there. It was, it was totally different.
- 56:36Speaker 2: You just click on so many different levels and it's like,
- 56:40Speaker 2: It just becomes apparent, like, man, I need this person
- 56:42Speaker 2: in my life. They make me better, too. You know
- 56:45Speaker 2: what I'm saying? Yeah. That's it. So she's amazing that way.
- 56:50Speaker 2: So that was it. I was like, I'm done. I'm happy. Gosh.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Oh, that's a great thing to say.
- 56:55Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I am. It's amazing.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Yeah, when you see your wife, you get excited. You
- 57:01Speaker 1: give her a hug.
- 57:02Speaker 2: It's yeah, I'll give her a hug. Uh, I love,
- 57:06Speaker 2: but sometimes, you know, it's also, it's not, you know,
- 57:08Speaker 2: all the time. It's not crazy romantic all the time.
- 57:10Speaker 2: You know, it's life, you know, you're tired. It's like, uh,
- 57:13Speaker 2: you know, you just pass each other. Sometimes it's, you know,
- 57:16Speaker 2: it's a fist bump. It's like, all right, get out
- 57:18Speaker 2: of here, whatever it is. But, uh, but I miss
- 57:20Speaker 2: her this morning. She left this morning, you know, we
- 57:22Speaker 2: were out last night and then, uh, I was like, wow,
- 57:25Speaker 2: you know, uh, it's, it's, it's, you know, you're going
- 57:30Speaker 2: to have all those feelings. It's, you know, All the
- 57:35Speaker 2: emotions and everything, and all the cooking or this, that,
- 57:39Speaker 2: the things that you love them so much about, it's
- 57:42Speaker 2: a balance of them all. It's everything. It's the good.
- 57:45Speaker 2: It's the bad. And you just realize overall it's like
- 57:48Speaker 2: I never want to be without them, even in the
- 57:51Speaker 2: worst moments. So you know that, and it's real.
- 57:55Speaker 1: You think you can fall in like a different type
- 57:57Speaker 1: of love when you're like, Like in your late 30s
- 57:59Speaker 1: or as you get older than you can when you're younger,
- 58:02Speaker 1: you think?
- 58:02Speaker 2: First, for me, I think I matured. I'm still not
- 58:05Speaker 2: that mature. You know, I'm 60. So I still think
- 58:08Speaker 2: like a kid, like an idiot. So for me, I'm
- 58:10Speaker 2: glad it happened later. You know, some people are able
- 58:14Speaker 2: to know what they want when they're younger and much
- 58:18Speaker 2: more mature. I was not there, you know.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I think your career might not have happened the same.
- 58:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that's for sure. I needed to be kind of
- 58:27Speaker 2: by myself and get it going. Because you might.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Have left your family all the time to go war.
- 58:31Speaker 1: It would have just been really different.
- 58:32Speaker 2: It would have been rough for sure, yeah. So I'm
- 58:36Speaker 2: glad I got the grind out. Now I take them
- 58:38Speaker 2: with me if I'm doing a movie. I'm never away
- 58:40Speaker 2: from them for that long, which is good.
- 58:42Speaker 1: Do you miss some of those days, like the road
- 58:44Speaker 1: days back in the day? Are there any of them
- 58:45Speaker 1: that you kind of romanticize.
- 58:47Speaker 2: A little bit? I still do them.
- 58:50Speaker 1: But I mean like clubs that weren't– just like– I'm
- 58:52Speaker 1: talking about like– Stayed in.
- 58:54Speaker 2: The condo and all that stuff.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Did you ever stay in Mishawaka?
- 58:57Speaker 2: Did you stay in condos?
- 58:57Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, dude. You did? You ever stay in Mishawaka
- 59:00Speaker 1: over there?
- 59:00Speaker 2: Where's that?
- 59:01Speaker 1: Indiana, like right outside of Notre Dame is right there.
- 59:05Speaker 2: No, no. Oh, yes. But I've made crazy crappy condos
- 59:08Speaker 2: and stuff like that. But it was exciting. It was me.
- 59:10Speaker 2: my brother a couple other guys comedians that were you
- 59:12Speaker 2: know we were rogan you know but never went on
- 59:16Speaker 2: the road with rogan uh but uh yeah it was
- 59:20Speaker 2: great it was fun you know you stay at I
- 59:23Speaker 2: used to play the Tropicana in Vegas.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:29Speaker 2: And I never gambled. I've never been to Vegas. And
- 59:31Speaker 2: I remember losing my week. You go there for a week.
- 59:35Speaker 2: You do two shows a night for seven days, man.
- 59:38Speaker 1: You have to eat downstairs with the staff.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Yes, exactly.
- 59:40Speaker 1: And sometimes there's no food, and they're asking you for food.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah, exactly. It's rough. But you're excited to be there.
- 59:46Speaker 2: It was like 103 degrees. I remember when O.J., when
- 59:52Speaker 2: they were chasing O.J., I was in Vegas at the Tropicana,
- 59:55Speaker 2: and we were drinking. We got a— you' re staying in your hotel.
- 59:59Speaker 2: You got no— I think you're getting maybe— I don't even know
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: how much money you're getting, but I lost— in the first night,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: I've lost my entire week's worth of money. I'm not kidding.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: So we got a case of Bud Light Ice, which
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: was the beer that was so good and frosty at
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: a gas station.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Oh, I remember that beer.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Do you remember that?
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Yeah, they discontinued it.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: It was great, though.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Yes. I liked it.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: I did, too. Bud Light Ice. Bring up a picture
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: of it. Can you please? Something would it look like?
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: And they had, there was a something dog at the
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: same time.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, Red Dog.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Red Dog or.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Something like that. I love that. You know that.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Red Dog was disgusting. It was supposed to be for, like,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: disabled animals.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Bud Light Ice. There you go. We got a case
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: of that, and we sat in my hotel room, and
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: we just pounded it, and it was, like, still 103
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: degrees at night. I remember that, and OJ was being
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: chased or whatever. It was just crazy.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Dude, I remember I would be in my hotel. I
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: remember this one hotel I stayed at, I think it
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: was in, outside of Syracuse in like Liberty, New York
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: or something. And they gave you a cup of water
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: and it was filled up. When I got in the room,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: it was like a cup of water. I was like,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: it wasn't even like a bottle of water. And I
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: was like- Oh, that was for you?
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: If you're thirsty, we poured you a cup of water
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: and put it in there.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Did you stay in some rough places?
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Yeah, just places where you like would have to walk
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: on the interstate to get there, whatever, like a highway
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: to get there. Just some places that were a little
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: bit like, what is going on here?
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: I drove eight hours- to a gig that I had
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: to do one gig. It was one night. I was
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: making like no money. I get there early before the gig,
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: and it's a crappy motel type thing. I pull the
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: bed back because I'm tired. Just drove eight hours. Got
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: to take a nap before the show. There's a roach
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: in the blanket. I mean, I don't even know. It
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: was this big. I literally just put the blanket back.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: I went to the show. I just sat in my
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: car in the parking lot until the thing was ready,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: did the show, drove home eight hours, man. I'm not
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: staying with a roach. Couldn't do it. There's some miserable places. Yeah, dude.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I remember we would, to save like $ 100, you'd fly
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: into a city that was like four hours. Like if
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you could figure out the math.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Yes, yes. And then drive here and get a ride.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Then you're like, oh, I'll just finish a show. I'll
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: drive and catch a flight out of Indianapolis at 5, 8.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: It's just like everything was like.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Did you have a buddy, like a comic buddy that
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: you'd go with or you were by yourself? I didn't.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I was out there and I'd always pee in the bed.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I'd always pee on my cell phone once it came out.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: So I'd miss certain calls or wake up alarms.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Back that up. Wait a second. What did you say?
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I would wet the bed. You would wet the bed? Yeah,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I'd wet the bed, man.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: I'd be drinking. First of all, let's start with this
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: one first, and then we'll back it in there. Why
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: is your cell phone in the bed? Can you put
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: it on the counter? No.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I'd fall asleep.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Put it on the counter. That's not that close. You
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: shouldn't have that close to you anyway. Put that on there.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: By the way, you would pee on it then. But
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: why are you wetting the bed?
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I was wetting the bed, man.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Were you drunk or just letting it go?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I was drunk, and I wet the bed for a
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: long time.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I was in it.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: Just because you got used to it when you were
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: younger and you're like, Let's just keep going with this?
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I can't remember, dude. I just think I just was
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: always so nervous.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: And whenever I was asleep, at some point, finally, I
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: wasn't nervous. And my body's like, well, this is when
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: we got to urinate, you know?
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: You seem like a guy from a place of fear, right?
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: Everything in fear. Like, I'm that way. I don't know
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: about you, but I get worried about everything. Or you're
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: not worried about everything.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Oh, I would get worried. Like, if I'm with a
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: girl and there's, like, a moment of silence, it makes
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: me so frustrated. you gotta fill that I get so
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: scared yeah I'm like I just don't want to give
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: her room not to like it was almost like from
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: that way if there's any space here she'll not like
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: me that's exactly it I don't want to give her
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: room not to so you gotta fill that space up
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: yeah and I would do it with one word for the.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Next set so it's like if we were talking I'm
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: like yeah well I went to the game with my
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: brother and it was a lot of fun and then
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: it gets quiet and I would go because and I
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: would say because to give you moments to start yes
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: but I don't know what I'm saying and she's like
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: what do you mean and I'm like because and I'm
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: like In my head, I'm like, hey, because it has
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: to follow. You got to follow with something if you
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: say because. So I was like, because, you know, we
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: we just like the team that was playing something. And
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: then it's like dead again. And I'm like, I do
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: another one. So it's just those little words like, just
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: shut up, man. Sit in the pocket. I can't sit
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: in the pocket.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I can't sit ever. Dude, it's same with baseball. I
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: would get up there. I would swing three times for
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: even fucking through it. And I would go sit down.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Yeah. And if they had a problem with it. I
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: love it.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I'm going home. My mom would sit in the distance.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: She would be in the van, and she would honk.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: She's like, if you don't hit it, we're fucking leaving.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: And she'd be going, dude. I never hit it.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Dude, I love that.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I never hit it, dude. But yeah, there's something about
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: that moment where it's like, I just can't. Especially if
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: it's like looking at a woman in the eyes, too.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: That's always been like super tough. It's just like something
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: that's like, yeah, I just always had a tough time
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: with that. But I can't let there be a thing.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Well, I couldn't. If the woman didn't... high school or
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: even beyond i had to know the girl like she
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: had to come over to me like i could never
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: be one of those guys that go up i'd be
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: like ask my friends she's like she likes you go
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: talk to her you know i'm like couldn't talk to
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: her i walk around her in a big circle oh
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: gosh yes that's funny that's great though that's yes that's
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: insane that's marking your territory and you're trying to go
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: in and you don't even know how to do it
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: um yeah i i would need her to come over
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: And I would need confirmation of, yes, I like you.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Let's go out. You know, I couldn't, I'd be like,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: you sure? I'd give her every out. Like, we don't
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: have to do this if you don't want to go out.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Are you okay? That's what I always, if anybody hangs
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: out with me, a lot of them are always like,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: are you okay? I don't even do it on purpose.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: There's a part of me that just asks them that.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: But yeah, it's a sweetness, man, but it's a, it's
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: a worry that you're not good enough. Right. I mean,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: And I think it's not even on the front of
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: my thoughts anymore, but it's still just this old thing
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: that's just built in me, you know, but that looking
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: in the eyes, like, yeah, I couldn't look at one
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: in the eye. Just like, I don't know what it is.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: If I, if they, I don't know what I'm afraid
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: they're going to see, you know, they're just going to
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: see that something's wrong with me probably, or something, you know,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: or I'm going to, or I'm going to see them.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Here's what I think it is too. I'm going to
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: see them. see that something's wrong with me, right?
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: You would look for signs. She saw me just like,
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: she knows I'm weak.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Right, I'll know the look in her eyes. I'll know
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: the look in her eyes when she sees that, when
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: she realizes that there's something wrong with me. So I got,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I like, I don't know. So I don't want to
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: lock out, something like that.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: I don't know what it is.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Anyway, sorry for talking.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: You don't want, no, no, it's the truth. I'm the
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: same way. You don't want to give yourself, the possibility
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: of failing. So it's like you kill it before it happens.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: You go, I'll self kill it before that. I didn't fail.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: It just went down. I don't know.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: But then life gets, but then life gets along. You're like,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: what kind of, what theme park am I living in
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: here with myself?
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you, get out of it. I'm
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: out of it now. I'm coming out of it. I
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: really am. I don't let those things that scare me anymore.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: Like I don't care anymore. I do it. And that's, it's,
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: it's been helping a lot. I mean it. Yes.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Just by just, just doing.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: Yeah. You figure it out. You go, I don't care.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: She said, no, she didn't know this one, this, whatever.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: I don't get this. It doesn't do well. I don't care.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: Moving on. What's next? Let's go. We know what we got.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: God is good. Go, go, go, go.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: It's stuck so much on the thinking side.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. You got to get out of your own way.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: I'm the same way. Yeah.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: That's interesting, dude. But yeah, that would be a lot
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: of it. God. Yeah. That would be a lot of it.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: But yeah, that thing I'll be, I'll be like, um,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: What else is going on? I'll say that all the time.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: If things get real quiet, that's a weird thing, huh?
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: But I think that's what makes you, your brain is like,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: we got to come up with something.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: What are we doing here, boys? You know? Yes.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: And I'm telling you, you look calm outside, but inside
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: it's like, there's a fire. What do we do next? Like,
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: she's not like, I remember it all. I remember it.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: It's over. It's cortisol shooting out of your face. You know,
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: it's like, ah! I don't know what to do. I
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: can't control myself. When you think back on it, it's
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: so insane. It is. It means nothing. It meant nothing.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Don't worry. Just calm down. Sit in the pocket.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Yeah. Spade does a good job of that, man.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: He's always been that guy, right? He's so cool. Just
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: very cool.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: I've never been the cool guy. He's so cool. Yeah.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: My friend was the cool guy.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Yeah. All my friends were the cool guy. Like, it
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: was never me. I was never that guy. No.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Even the times when I thought I was that guy,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: I was like, ah, that's insane that you thought that, dude.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: You know? Because it just doesn't fit.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Right. Nah. Yeah. I don't, I don't, I don't. And
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: then it worked for me to not be that guy.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: And it's like when you admit it. Yeah.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Once you realize, oh, I'm not.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Once you're not trying to be something.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Yeah. It feels better. Right. And it's like, it's all right.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: That's why it happened.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: It makes things a little bit better. Did you feel
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: like a little bit of like your character, Matt Taylor,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: that's the guy's name? Which is so funny because I
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: know three Matt Taylors, but everybody does. Maybe that's why
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: they picked the name.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: There's a lot of them. There's a lot of them
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: out there. How many are there? Bring that up. Please.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: How many Matt Taylors are there? I know three.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: There's got to be 14 or more in the world.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I bet there's 140,000. I know. I'm joking. Oh, sorry.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: There's got to be like Matt Taylors, right?
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: There's no precise global count for the name Matt Taylor.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: A comprehensive worldwide name database do not exist. Estimates can
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: be derived from available national data and name frequency tools.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: It's up here in the public records about 3,700 times.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: That's it? Yeah, there's no way to figure it out.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: There's a lot of them, though.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Matt, as a first name alone, has an estimated living
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: population of 207,000. I bet it's more than that. 207,000 Matts?
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: There was that Kyle meetup in Texas. Do you see that?
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: I did not.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Bring that up.
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: All the Kyles?
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: All the Kyles met up.
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Yeah, bro.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: If we were to branch out now and go to
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: try to figure out how many Matt Taylors there are
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: currently living in the world, what is the first step?
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: The first step is do I go, okay, if we
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: just decided right now we're doing it, but would I
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: say to my guy, all right, call his agent. We're
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: going to do this thing. What is the first step?
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: Do we book a hotel and we say we're going
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: to talk about it or? Like we need a first
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: meeting of how we're going to go about the thing.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: Is that it?
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: The first step, probably agreeing that we're going to do
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: it together. Right.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: That would take some time though, right? Because we'd be like,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: are we really doing this? And then it's like, well,
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: we got to talk it out. Let's think it. And
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: the logistics of it, like how would we do it? Okay.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: And getting uniforms too. Searching for Matt Taylor uniforms. That
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: would be sick. Would it be a jumpsuit or is
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: it like two pieces?
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Every Matt Taylor. I think it's a onesie.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: A onesie?
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: It's a one piece, like a Carhartt.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: It's hard work. Yes.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Dude, you know how many Matt Taylors there are? At
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: least 207,000. Dude, I love it.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: Searching for the best Matt Taylor. What are we looking for?
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: So the uniform would be probably the first thing we're
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: working on.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: What are we looking for him for? Maybe we got
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: a piece of mail for him.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, just something like we can, yeah. Or just to
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: give them a pat on the back for being part
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: of the team.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Yeah, being in the Army. That's a militia.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: That many people. That is.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Bring up that meeting of the Kyles again. What did
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: they do, too? Somebody said that.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: That is cool. They're all Kyle's?
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, those were all Kyle's. And Sugar Ray performed, I heard.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: Oh, I love it.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: 706 people named Kyle got together in Texas, but it wasn't.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Enough for a world record. Oh, damn. Oh, how sad
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: is that? First of all, let me say something. These
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: guys put together, 706 of these people had the dream
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: of becoming a world record breaker with the most Kyles
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: in a certain area.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: And they missed it. Look at that. By the way,
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: as bad as we feel about everything that happened in
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: our lives, if I had that one, that would tip it.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: It'd be tough to leave.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: Come on. No, you're second place? For most Kyles?
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Second place for most Kyles. The crown is currently held
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: by a town in Bosnia. They got 235 people named
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Ivan in 2017.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: So it's any name. It's not just Kyles. So it's
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: like just a certain name.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: But this is, I think, one of the largest groupings.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: What did it say about Kyle? Did it say anything else?
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Go back to that original article.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: How does that start? Where is that first meeting? Oh, Kyle.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: Well, it's right here. It's not the first time the
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Kyles have come gunning for the Ivans. Last year, the
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: official count at what has become known as the Gathering
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: of the Kyles clocked in at 1490 in the fast-growing
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Texas city that is about 37 miles of Austin. Oh,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: the city's called Kyle. They did it in Kyle, Texas.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: But are they named Kyle?
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: They're all named Kyle. That's got to be crazy, dude,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: when you see who all the other freaking Kyles really are.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: But do you go door to door?
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: Are you knocking and going?
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I'm sure they met. I'm sure there was something online
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: that announced it.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: And then they all showed up. I guess you have
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: to register.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that would seem a lot more efficient.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Oh, dude, that'd be so crazy. You look around and
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: everybody's a Kyle. And you see some, you're like, whoa.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Or they put one person out there that's not a Kyle.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: And the whole day.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: Do you think there's anybody in that group of 706
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: that's not a Kyle? Really? That, like, Kyle was his nickname.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: It wasn't even his real name. And he knows it.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: He's there. It's not on his birth certificate. And he's
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: kind of, like, getting around, like, not wanting to get caught.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: And people are looking around. And other Kyles know if
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: you're not a Kyle. So they're just kind of like...
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: And you're like, what's your name? And you're like, I'm Kyle, too.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: And they're like... I don't know if he, you know,
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: and they're like, hey, they go to get his buddy. Like,
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: I want to check you out. And then he leaves.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: He's like, I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be back.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: And he just goes to a different area of the field.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: It's so stupid.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: It's so crazy to be a fake Kyle there just
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: to fit in.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: But people have nothing to do. Look at what they're doing.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: They're just trying, man.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: I love it, man. I love it.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: People are desperate for connection. Yes. This is how it's getting.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: By the way, this is beautiful to me. But the
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: worst part is, though, imagine it's all dude. You go
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: there hoping you can meet a chick. There's some chicks
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: named Kyle.
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: Oh, do you think so?
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I've met a couple.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: I've met a couple for sure.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: Who performed?
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Who performed? I think Sugar Ray.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: But that's a missed opportunity. Shouldn't they get a Kyle?
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: Isn't there a Kyle performer?
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Kyle Kinane could have. Yeah.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: I don't know. That's a missed opportunity, man.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: It won't try to break the same name gathering record
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: this year. Okay, so Kyle's out. Oh, so they're switching names.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: By the way, why don't you go with a Bob
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: or something like, you know what I'm saying? Oh, because
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: the city of Kyle, Texas put it on, it looks like.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: All right, we'll find a better name.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: The city has been hosting the gathering since 2017.
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: When you look back, this movie, what was different about
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: making this movie than some of the others? Did you
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: find that it's easier? Do you have a different ownership
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: of this film?
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: It was something that, it came together really quick, but
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: it's the first movie that I'm really proud of, that
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: everybody who worked on it was just amazing, and it
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: was just different than any other movie I've done. And
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: the story's not that, it's not even that crazy different
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: or anything like that. It's not– but it's a classic.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: We hit every mark that we wanted to hit in
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: doing this in a different way. I hired– like we
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: got the best cast, the best crew. And again, it's
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: not me. It was them and it was everything coming
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: together in Italy that just made it– I just couldn't
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: believe how great it came out. And it was like
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: I know– I think honestly for the rest of my life,
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: this would probably be the best movie. For me. Really?
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: It's the best I've done so far. Yes. Without a doubt.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: The best you've done even in your acting, you think?
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Well, it's the most where I'm real. You know,
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: you do different movies for different reasons, right? Like, you know,
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: when I did Mall Cop, you know, I'm doing it
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: for families and kids and you're being goofy and broad
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: and this and that. And a lot of stuff you're
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: getting that, you know, that's your kind of what they
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: expect from you. But this was one where I was able,
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: there's still comedy in it, but like I don't hold
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: the comedy as much as, like Kim Coates and Jonathan Rumi,
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: these guys, and Allison Hannigan.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Jonathan was great.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Which allowed me to kind of play more of
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: a real guy, which was fun for me to do.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: And who played Jules? What was that guy's name?
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Kim Coates from Sons of Anarchy. I've known him for
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: 35 years. I did a movie with him and Ray
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: Romano called Grilled. Yeah. And it never went anywhere. We
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: were meat salesmen. And I met him. And he is
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: the greatest. He's an insanely intense actor. I don't even
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: know what he's going to do. But that's why I
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: want him for comedy.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: He looks at you, and he's just going to go
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: a certain way, and you're going to go with him.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: And he was the perfect guy to play that role. Yeah,
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: that was great, dude. He was really, really, he was
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: a good, yeah, his comedy was right on. He's incredible, man.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: He crushes it.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Whenever you made, what's another favorite, like just take me
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: through one more favorite film that you, like an experience
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: that you had.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: I mean, Hitch. I mean, all the stuff with Sandler. Oh, yeah,
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: that's true. I'm sorry.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: That's kind of a dumb question.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: No, no. I mean, it's like doing stuff with Sandler
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: is the best always.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: What about like a Hitch reboot today? Would that work,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: you think?
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how you do it with me,
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: but yeah. I guess you could do it. I think so.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: I think it was great. That was my first movie. So,
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: I mean, I was thankful for that one. That started
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: out like I had like one line or something. It
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: was like a very small part. And then Will and
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: I just connected, and he was so nice and giving
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: me some freedom to be funny and kind of try
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: different things. Oh, yeah. And I'll do it, and it
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: just made everything for me. So I was really excited
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: about that one.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Do you feel a lot of pressure when you just
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: have that much of a part to try to make
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: it perfect in some way?
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: In Hitch?
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: You know, coming in... you know, Will was a massive,
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: you know, movie star.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah. He's been one of the biggest.
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: And movie stars were different then. It was like, it
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: was just in the theaters. It was like, they were special.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: You didn't see them much, you know? And I remember
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: we were doing a big table read in New York
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: and he walked in with his crew and I'm like, whoa,
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: you know, my eyes like, whoa, that's him. You know,
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: it was like one of those things. And, uh, just
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: happy to be there, you know, trying to pitch things, but,
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: you know, don't want to get thrown out of the room,
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: you know, try, you know, timing and stuff like that. Uh,
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: but he was great like we would write after in
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: his trailer he'd go come back and we'd work on
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: some material and rewrite it as we were doing it
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: and I was just in it it was a dream
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: for me it was really great and it had that
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: special feeling that I have in this movie honestly where
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: you feel things are coming together because I've done a
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: ton of movies where you go man this is just
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: not working you know it's like you just feel like
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: you're muscling through you're pushing the comedy too hard this
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: one felt so real to me and it was just
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: so much fun to be a part of.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Do you have other projects that you already have on
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: the docket, Kevin?
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: Yes. We're working on one with Jelly Roll that I'm
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: going to be. It's actually a drama. country music drama
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: that we're working together.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: You see that video of him the other night at
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: the Grammys?
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: Were you there?
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: No, I wasn't there. He is amazing, man. Yeah, he's great.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: I got a shirt. I bought a shirt at Walmart
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: before coming here, and I already stained it up a
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: little bit. Let's go. Yeah, let's go, Jelly.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: He sent me a pair of those shoes. They're like hats.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: I don't know what they're called.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: Oh, yes, yeah. The boots that he wears?
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that, yeah.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Yeah, they're great. He's an amazing human being, man. I'm
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: so proud of him. Proud of him and so excited
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: to do this. And in this drama, here's the thing.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: We both, he goes, hey, if we're going to do this,
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: we got to get into like prison shape. Because we
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: go to prison. We're both in prison in the movie.
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: And it's real. Where at?
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: What city?
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: In Nashville.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Oh, nice. I haven't been to the prison here.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Yeah. It's a whole thing about getting to the Opry.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: And it's a really cool story. And there's a lot
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: of drama in it. And it's exciting. But we said, okay,
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: we're going to commit now to doing this. And he
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: went out and lost like 300 pounds. And I am
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: up seven. I got to get down.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: You're up seven pounds right now?
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: Yes. He's down like 300. I'm up seven.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Oh, that's a crazy spread.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: So, yeah, it's a big spread. We went the wrong way.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: And you already shot.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: No, no, we didn't shoot anything yet. We shoot in like.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: we're hoping to do seven, eight months. We're going to be,
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: we're going to be ready to shoot. So do you
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: think you can get to that? I know I can.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: I'm going to do it right now. I'm literally, after
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: I promote this movie, which I'm doing, I'm shutting down
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: from everything else and I'm, I'm going into training mode
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: like never before. I'm going to work out. I'm going
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: to change everything. I'm going to be unrecognizable. I have
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: to say it. If I don't say it, I'll never
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: be accountable.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: What will you do? Like, what do you have? Oh,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: I know what I'm going to do. Yeah.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: I'm going to do everything. Like, well, I'm going to
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: go easy though. You know, it's like, that's the one thing.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: I'm very eclectic when I work out. Like I do,
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: you know, I'll do a little bit of jujitsu and
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: stuff like that. Light stuff though now and boxing and
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: then stretching and a little bit of stuff. Bike riding,
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: things like that. Pool is insane. You know, I... Swimming?
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: Not swimming. I'm not a swimmer. But just getting in
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: a pool and stretching and moving a little bit.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: If you can do that, you have access to that.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: But it's also like... You burn a lot of calories.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: And it's therapeutic because... The water holds you. So it's
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: like your body feels good stretching and moving. So doing
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: a lot of that. And, uh, no, I gotta, I
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: gotta get on it though. He's, he's, he's like, he's
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: lived up to his part of the bargain.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: Or are you going to have a trainer? Like, what
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: do you, what else do you do?
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: I do, but training, trainers get annoying to me. I
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: gotta be honest. Like after a while. Yeah. And you
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: know what? If I'm being completely honest, I've done it before.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: I know what to do. I know what to eat.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: I know what, you know, but I am using Dolce.
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: Do you know Mike Dolce?
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: He's got the Dolce diet. He's trained all these UFC athletes.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Oh, wait. I have met him before.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Yeah. He's awesome. He's going to help me. Yes. He's
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: a badass. He's a really good.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: So he's going to help.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: He is going to help. He's frustrated with me because
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: I haven't been doing. He knows I haven't been doing it.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you're up seven.
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: Yeah. So I don't think he knew that. I guess
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: he's going to know that now. All right. Sorry, Dolce.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: I'm up seven. But I didn't lock in yet. When
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: I lock in, I promise you. It's gonna be six months,
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: I'm gonna be a different person, so.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: What would be the hardest thing for you to give up,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: you think?
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: Food-wise, or just, I mean?
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: Probably food-wise, yeah. Or is it a beer-wise, or what
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: is it?
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: No, no, it's not drinking. I'm not a big, big drinker.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: It's just food, and it's just amounts of food. Like,
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: I could eat constantly if you changed the food, like
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: a shark. Like, I would just keep swimming. Like, I
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: would just keep... Yeah. I don't get full, really, you know?
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: It's something in me that, you know, I need to stop.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: But are you a big eater? You look great, man.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: I like to eat some, but I don't care that much.
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: You don't?
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: I like beef quesadillas and I like smoothie.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: Okay, but so you're not. That's a great combo.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Yeah, those are the two things I eat every single day.
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: Do you really?
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Yeah, if I'm eating, that's what I eat.
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: It's easy. We have seven ingredients here.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: But you don't think about it. See, look at your face.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: You're kind of like, that's your face when, you know,
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: that's not my face with food.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I think it's lame to not care about food sometimes.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: I think, like, dude, get some zest in your world.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: No, I think what you're doing is— Think about a
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: fucking sauce or something. No, I think that's—I would rather
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: be like that because, you know, why am I so
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: concerned about what I'm eating for lunch? Like, I'm thinking
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: about it constantly. I'm looking at you right now, but
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: I'm thinking tonight. Like, you don't want to make a mistake.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: You don't want to go— That's a good point. Right?
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Nothing's worse than making a mistake at a restaurant. Especially
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: when you're like, we're in Nashville now, so we got
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: to pop. You got to find something good. Dude, I
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: ordered a steak from this place, STK, last night or something.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Oh, STK's great.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: This was not, dude.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: Oh, really? STK missed? Didn't they have a place in
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: the city? They have a few of them, right? They're
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: a chain?
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: But not a lot.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Oh, it still makes me sick. It tastes like, I
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: don't even know.
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: Oh, STK, sorry. I'm out then. I'm out.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: If you had a bad one. Oh, it tasted like.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: No, I'm done. It tasted like just vagina. If they
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: had one in L.A., I think I went to it
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: and it was good. 1400s or whatever.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Like game of groans, dude. It was horrible.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Game of groans.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Dude, I can still, I had one bite and I
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: was like, oh, maybe I got a bad piece of
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: the meat or whatever.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: It tasted bad or it was tough?
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: It tasted bad and it just had this aroma or
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: odor or whatever with it. And, dude, that odor hit me,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: and I was like.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: What is the odor? Oh, you were seeing the odor? Odor? Yes.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: It hit me, dude. I fucking, my knees shook a little.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: Did they? I was like, God, yeah. But do you
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: think it was, like, just bad tasting, or it was bad, like,
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: you're going to get sick? I couldn't tell.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: I couldn't tell, dude, but I had one more bite.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: You went back?
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: I was like, dude, I was treating myself to something,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: you know?
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: I hadn't really eaten all day, and I was coming home,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: and I was like, I'm going to treat myself to
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: something tonight. I'm going to order a steak. Because I
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: still have to work. I was going to try to
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: go somewhere to eat, but it was getting, it was
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: so late.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: And I was like, and they sent it, and I
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: was like, oh.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: No, no, you can't.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: It made me fucking, when you do that kind of shit,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: like you turn into your own chiropractor and shit.
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: See, I wouldn't get upset. Like, once it was bad,
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: I have no problem switching foods. Like, I would go
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: right to peanut butter and jelly, and I would make
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: a massive sandwich.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: God, now those are good. I guess they're as good
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: when you're a kid, but I just quit eating them
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: years ago.
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: What?
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Peanut butter and jelly.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: You still eat them?
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: Yes, I do. Yes, I do. What is your ratio
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: of peanut butter to jelly?
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Oh, I used to think, oh, I think I go
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: thick on both. And I'll put, if I'm really going
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: to have one, I haven't had one in years, but
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: I would put butter on the jelly side as well. Butter, jelly,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: and then the other bread has peanut butter on it.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: My grandmother used to do that.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: Toast or no?
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: No. Sometimes my mom used to grill them with bananas
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: in them though.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: That's insane. I'm stuck on butter right now. Like my
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: mind is going crazy. Like a beautiful mind right now,
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: it's seeing all the equations of like why I didn't
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: do it. But I got to tell you, first of all,
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: I go much thicker peanut butter. Like I thick it up. Oh, really?
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: It's a lot.
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: You choke a little.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fine. I get it down. And then it's
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: worth it though. And I get a little jelly in
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: there just to get that sweet going. But it's a
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: big one. And I'll do toast sometimes. But if you
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: do too hot of a toast– I know this is
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: a little bit too much information, but then you get
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: the wet peanut. It melts and it comes right out,
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: squeezes out the side.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: How do you feel when peanut butter started doing that
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: thing a few years ago where they put just two
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: parts of peanut butter into a jar and it's like
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: the oil and the part they separate?
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: No, I can't stand that.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: That's insane.
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: I can't stand that. What is that? I don't want
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: to do the skippy. Yeah, there you go. That's the drip.
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: There you go. That drip is good, but if it
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: goes out of the sandwich, it's useless. And you lose it.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: You lose it. It's like that could have been in me. Yeah, God.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I do this stuff like that.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: I don't like that at all.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: I do miss those kid foods, those lunchables.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: I can't believe you. Why did you stop? I mean,
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: when you say kid foods.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: I forgot about it.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: They're foods. They don't, I mean, macaroni and cheese with
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: the craft. You're right. With the powder. It never stops.
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: When do you go, what age is it appropriate to go,
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: I'm not eating the powder cheese?
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Something happened to me, I guess. I just, I don't know.
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: I just started. You know what? I just like working
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: so much. I just don't think about food that much.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: But maybe this will start, you know? Maybe I'll start
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: falling in love with some new things, you know?
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: I would like to go the other way. I would
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: love to be like that. I wish I had that
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: where I wasn't thinking about it so much.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: What's going to be the toughest part for you with
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: this coming up change? I know you've got to get
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: out of here. What's going to be the toughest part?
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: It's just going to be the food. It is. It's
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: going to be cutting that out. But once I get
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: into a groove, it's routine. Routine and discipline, man. That's
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: all it ever is, right? So if you do it
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: a little bit and you do it enough and you
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: don't need a perfect every day, but That's the other
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: thing too. I let the perfect be the enemy of
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: the good, which means if I'm not perfect that day,
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: I go screw it. And I eat like crazy that
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: night and I blow it. And I, you know, if
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: I get a flat tire, Wyman always says, you always,
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: you know, if you get one flat, you, you just
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: pop the other three tires. Like, you know, it's like,
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: you don't, you don't just fix that one. I do like,
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: so if I go off my diet a little bit,
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: I go out that night, I'm eating, drinking, having a blast.
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: And I'm like, I'll start tomorrow. Cause it's a fresh
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: start that I'm looking for. Oh, I love that. Start fresh.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: Cause I've always been that guy. I've always been the
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: guy to never do the homework, you know, but when
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: I should, it's Monday morning, I get it done. And
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: then I get it. It's like, and it's like, cause
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: I can do it. That's the same dude. Yeah.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: I was always a guy wrote every answer on my finger.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: I go in there.
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Like that little bitty words on there.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: Cheating. Um, Well, dude, thanks so much for Solomia, man.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: Thanks for all the entertainment of the year. Sorry I
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: was a little bit tired today.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: No, I'm sorry. I'm a little weak, too. And I
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: said a lot of things that I rambled for a
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: while that if you want to cut out, you can
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: cut out because I was a little bouncy.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: Dude, yeah, I don't know. I just feel like I
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: didn't have a lot of gasoline in me today, but
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: sometimes that's the.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: Day, man.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: It was great. You were great.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: But I'm grateful that we got to spend some time together, man.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: I really am, and thanks for all the entertainment over
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: the years.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: Thank you for Solomio. Solomio, right?
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: Salamio.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: Salamio.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: But thank you.
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: It's Salamio.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: I got to remember that. Okay. Thank you for solo meal.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: Yes. Okay. That's even.
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: And there's a musical ensemble. You wouldn't even imagine that
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: this happens in this movie. That's great.
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: And that guy's blind. Do you know it?
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: Yeah. I didn't know.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: Finally, I'm looking at him. I'm like, this guy is
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: fucking nonchalant. you know, about everything. And then I'm like, oh,
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: this guy's fucking blind or whatever. My friend's blind. You
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: have a friend that's blind?
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: Yeah. How blind? Like completely?
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: Nothing. It's all.
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: But has he always been that way? Yeah.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: He's always been blind since he was, uh, yeah. I mean,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: he could maybe have vision when he was very young,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: but he's always been blind.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: As far, as long as I've known him, he's been blind.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: I thought it was amazing. Anytime I met somebody with
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: like a deficiency, I always like admired it so much
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: in some way.
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: My sister lost her sight. Like she's like, but she just,
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: you know, she was born with sight. She was fine.
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: And now, you know, it's, she's got retinitis pigmentosa where
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: it's like, it goes away. And it's, it's, and I'm
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: wondering if it's like more difficult to have seen or
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: to never have, you know, and, and just know it's just, yeah, I'm,
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: my heart goes out to.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: All of them. We had a blind girl on here
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: one time and she was talking about how she like
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: learns things. Like it's almost like a video game. It's like,
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: that's how she kind of remembers things and where to
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: go and different, like And so, like, she can slowly build, like,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: spaces to, like, walk in and things like that, she said.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: And then she said the worst animal that she's, like,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: petted all kinds of animals except a snake doesn't give
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: any energy back to the blind. That's what she said.
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: Yeah. It doesn't give any back to the seeing either. Yeah.
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: That's what I said.
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Yeah, 100%.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: Tanja. Yeah.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Right there.
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: Long person. Wow. That's really, that's cool, man. You can
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: feel that.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: She's awesome. I got to check back in with her. Awesome. Yeah, guys,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: go see Solo Mio. You'll enjoy it. Take your lady.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: Take your man. Take whoever you got. Take your son.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: Take your stepson. That's who needs to.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: Yes. Bring your stepson.
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: Take your frickin' stepson, dude.
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: Take your stepson. He's never taken that kid anywhere. That's
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: all I want. Stepson's in free. We should do a
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: whole thing, right?
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: Oh, dude, yeah.

- 1:31:13Speaker 2: work that out.
