It is Friday, October 2nd, 2026, and joining me in the world's largest studio, a thousand miles across the room, is the lovely, the talented The slightly green producer scooter. I because you're wearing green. Okay. Well then I must be colorblind. Anyway. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I hope your morning is going fantastic. All the the good things to you, good vibes on this lovely Friday. You made it to the weekend. Almost. It's Friday. You made it to Friday. I'm proud of you. Hmm. So I ⁓ we're just gonna break this down. So yesterday was a very I don't know what the word I want to use is what not stressful, just pain in the fucking ass day, man. Pain in the ass. So for those of you that don't know, my favorite tool brand on the planet, power tool wise, is Milwaukee. Okay. And it's been Milwaukee for a very long time. I've been beating the piss out of these tools for years. Okay. Growing up, when we would buy power tools, it was, you know, a couple different brands. You know, we'd buy Makita, Milwaukee, depending on what it was, we might get something different. But we were not, there was no DeWalt in our house. There was very little Craftsman products in our house, no fucking Ryobi, no fucking Bosch, no fucking any of that shit. Okay? Everything was primarily Milwaukee. And like I said, I've beat the piss out of these tools. So it Whenever I started my business years ago, ⁓ you know, I was inclined to start buying Milwaukee Power Tools. And you know how these things work now. You buy into this this tool, you're married to these these battery systems, and you know, it's just you you stay buying those power tools because you've got the batteries for ⁓ and God forbid a tool dies. Now you have extra batteries. And we know the batteries aren't cheap. So that's, you know, kind of the the luck of the draw here, you know. Anyway, so I ended up picking up a Milwaukee chainsaw years ago. Okay. This thing's maybe four years old now, somewhere around there, maybe closer to five now. Man, I beat the hell out of this thing. I love this thing. I slap it on the gun rack on the ATV, I roll through the woods, if something's in my way, I jump off, I cut it, I there's no gas to mix, there's no string to pull, there's no nothing. Just jump off, it's ready to rock and roll. I have fallen in love with electric chainsaws. And I mean, I guess like I could see like if you work in a job where you have to have a chainsaw all the time, like you work like you're a logger, something like that. I get, you know, I kind of get the idea of needing, you know, more torque, bigger bar, more cutting force. Like I I get it. For the shit I'm doing, the fucking electric saws are fine, man. Anyway, so we're doing all this work on the property. I've got my buddy up here helping me out. And we came to the conclusion a few months back. You know, we probably need a second electric chainsaw. Okay, probably need a second one. Just should make life go a tad bit easier, having a second electric chainsaw. So we go, we buy one, we pick one up. My old one that I've had for years is fine. It's taken a beat and it keeps on going. This new one is giving me trouble. Trouble like it goes into like it's hitting a duty cycle. Whenever you're cutting, And you start to get a little pressure on that blade to cut, like you get a little force on that chain to start cutting and ripping, the saw shuts off. And you gotta pull it out of your cut and continuously bop the trigger for it to reset itself. It's like it's hitting a duty cycle early. So just pick the saw up a few months back, it's still under warranty. No one will fucking warranty these things out. They have to get sent back to Milwaukee. Okay. That's that's fucking fine. ⁓ This is a big problem for me. And it should be a problem for everybody else out there. And here's the reason why. If this saw was on a job making me money and I had to go and have all this downtime with it, it's like, so what? I I'm not on the job site billing the customer right now because the saw broke that's under warranty that you guys advertise a warranty for, but I have to send it off and this is going to take weeks. What do I do? Do I buy I go buy another one? Because if I buy another one, it's not gonna be the same fucking thing. It will be something different. So we went out yesterday and after some Googling around, found out that the Ego chainsaws are some of the highest rated ones you can get that are electric. The the two highest rated ones, according to the internet, are the steel electric chainsaws and the ego electric chainsaws. Now When I saw the price of the steel chainsaw by itself, it was fuck no, I'm not doing that. That's ridiculous. I'm not doing that. So long and the short is ego for the win, went out, picked up two, picked up an 18 inch and picked up a 16 inch. And I guess my Milwaukee saws are just gonna live with the work tools and eventually live on the work truck. I guess is what's gonna happen after I get the other one back in God knows how long. But I will report back on the show and let you know. If the ego chainsaws are worth a shit. Anyway, we'll be back right after these messages. Can't get enough of Jester Dooms? Check out his other show, It's Doomsday Podcast, available on all podcast platforms. That's it's Doomsday Podcast. Back to the show. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Doom Daily Show. I am your host, Jester Dooms. Joining me is the lovely producer Scooter, and he is lovely. Anyway, so on yesterday's show, we talked about Krista Pike and the stay of execution and and all of the things. Okay. So, well, I'll just jump right into the article by Owen Evans on the Epic Times. Tennessee governor orders a review after death throw inmate Krista Pike survives lethal injections. She survived the lethal injection. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has ordered a review after officials failed to put death throw inmate Krista Gail Pike to death on Wednesday, administering two doses of pentobarbital without rendering her unconscious. Pike was convicted at 19 years old over the brutal 1995 torture and murder of her classmate Colleen Slemmer in Knoxville, Tennessee, and was sentenced to death in 1996. At the time of her incarceration, she was the youngest person on death row. She had been scheduled for the execution at 10 a.m. on September 30th, but it was delayed until the evening after an appeals court stay had temporarily altered the execution. Official g officials gave Pike two doses of Pento Barbadal, Pento Barbadal. Her attorney said in court filings late Wednesday, media witnesses observing from a separate room said officials raised curtains to show the execution chamber at 727 p.m. showing Pike strapped to a gurney. ⁓ in quotes, I am going to leave this world the way I spent most of my life, and that is in love, she said in her so-called last words. She described herself as at peace, but Pike remained awake. By 826, the the By 826 PM, execution witnesses reported that second dose of petobarbital had been administered. Pike was heard snoring behind the closed curtain until the microphone was cut off at 853 PM. At that time, there was an announcement to escort media witnesses out of the area. Lee said in a statement on Wednesday that he had ordered a comprehensive third party review to determine exactly what occurred. And that a rescheduled execution would not take place this year. And quotes carried out a lawfully imposed sentence is among the state's most serious responsibilities, and the people of Tennessee expect it to be done in a manner that is not only legal and constitutional, but is effective, he said. The Tennessee Department of Corrections said in a statement that they followed every step of the state's lawful established execution protocol approved by the Attorney General's office. The lethal injection chemical. in the protocol has consistently been effective and the protocol does not allow for additional procedures beyond what was carried out. This evening, Krista Pike has been transported to an offsite medical facility. It added official official procedures dictate the administration of a secondary backup injection if the inmate is not deceased after the lethal the initial injection, according to the Tennessee Department of Corrections lethal injection protocol. In quotes, if the inmate is not deceased, a backup set B of syringes is prepared, the blinds are reopened, and steps five through eight are repeated, it says. The US Supreme Court late on September thirtieth lifted a lower court stay of execution for Pike, clearing the way for Tennessee's first execution of a woman in more than two hundred years. Justice Sonia Sodom Sodomer, Ellen Kagan, and Kenjean Brown dissented. So we we read It's I mean the article just follows back into what we talked about on yesterday's show, but what the fuck is going on? How did she survive the lethal injection? Is like my curious thing. And two doses of it. First execution of a woman in over two hundred years and they botched it. They had a botched execution. Wow. So you have to wonder though, if this isn't some kind of like Karma. She's on death row because she tortured and murdered somebody. And I would, I, you know, in in my brain, I would kind of think that getting two doses ⁓ of the lethal injection and not dire dying and suffering that pain and everything else would be a form of torture. So ⁓ karma prevails in this one, ladies and gentlemen. It really does. Karma done got her ass. But you have to ask yourself, too, I mean. So they said that they would not carry out another execution attempt this year. Now, another article that I read stated something along the lines of that she was currently in the ICU. is my understanding. Okay, she's in a hospital somewhere at an ICU. And I just find it to be very, very disturbing that this woman survived the lethal injection. And you have to ask yourself, like, from a medical standpoint, how? Like, let's say the a vein blew and it made it into her tissue, into her fat cells, and everything else, but it didn't make it into the main bloodstream, you know, shutting her body down, is, you know, how I would think something like this could be botched, which means the chemicals are still in her system. It's still in there. And, you know, the reality is that it's it's The body's fighting against that right now. You know, so she's gonna have to undergo treatment to get this removed from her body. And then if she comes out of the like, could you fucking imagine? ⁓ God, the headlines the shit's gonna make. If this woman, if she gets out of the hospital and she's alert and oriented, AO times four, and she's out, and she's able to speak to the media. Do you know what kind of things are gonna come out of her mouth? And then, I mean, you know, from a from a legal standpoint, if you were sentenced to death on a certain day in time, and I don't know how this works, producer scooter, maybe you could chime in on this. I'm not sure. But if this if the state fails to carry out the sentence, do they get a second shot? I mean, we're not living, you know, in in an era where nobody like has an attorney or doesn't follow the letter of the law, things like this. I would think that you would be able to get an attorney to overturn the death penalty considering they tried to kill you and they couldn't get it done. I mean, one would think. Like you were sentenced to death. They tried, they failed. Well, maybe you keep living now. I don't know. It's it's pretty wild. I it it's it's just a lot and I think it's pretty crazy because, you know, like I said, this show. does go off the rail sometimes and it went off a much different rail with this topic. My mind's just blown, ladies and gentlemen. I am just baffled that she was able to survive this. Anyway, let's go to break. We'll be back after these messages. Hey, producer Scooter here. First off, thank you for downloading and participating in the wide world of Jester Doo. Please be sure to check out Jesturesvoice.com website. I'm still Jester Dooms, still your host. Okay. So to recap on this, woman sitting on death row for thirty years, tries to have a stay of execution at the last minute. It c it gets postponed, pushed through anyway. She's basically tortured on the gurney, doesn't die. Eyewitnesses reported like snoring respirations. She was almost dead. Not quite there. She was out of it though. She had to be. And latest information I have is in the ICU. Okay. We know that the execution is going to be postponed and not happening this year, not being followed through. Now, what's interesting is there are other there are other people out there who have survived things like the electric chair and and you know they states media they want feedback from these things. So I I remember reading one article or hearing something about an inmate talking about they survived the electric chair and The one thing that they recanted was the roof of their mouth tasted like cold peanut butter, which I thought was a very bizarre thing in any capacity. Like you're being electrocuted to death. The one takeaway you have is the roof of my mouth tasted like cold peanut butter. It's very odd. It's a very odd thing to remember from that experience. It's a very odd thing. So it had to be very strong of a taste in your mouth. Cold peanut butter on the roof of your mouth. Anyway, so I imagine if this woman does come out of this and does talk to the media, she is probably going to have a lot of things to say. And they're probably going to be some really crazy things. ⁓ you know, who knows? When people have accounts that are close to death, they, you know, some people say they see they See God, they see angels, they see demons, they saw past loved ones, their lives flash before their eyes, like all of these things, right? But I know somebody who died and came back to life. And this person says there was nothing. Like I don't, there was just like I went to sleep and woke back up. There was nothing. There was no, there was no light. There was no like no religious mentionings, like nothing. And I don't know, you know, I don't know what that means because she's still here, she's still walking around. I mean, if it's not your time, it's not your time. You weren't meant to see those things yet because it wasn't your time. You know, you're still here. So yeah. Anyway. But I wouldn't doubt if this woman goes on the offensive, gets an attorney to try to get the execution carried out, or this might make her crazier than she already was, and she might come off with all kinds of crazy things she apparently experienced while she was under. We will see. But there are people, I guess, that are saying, and this is hearsay, I I haven't seen this in any articles, but there are people that are saying that if she has brain damage from this experience, that she would no longer pose a threat to society and that she should be let out. What are your thoughts on that? I mean, I don't know. I think that'd be pretty ⁓ Pretty wild. Just yeah, she she didn't survive. She's got brain damage. So she doesn't know what she did. We're gonna go ahead and let her out. I wouldn't think that would be a great thing. If you have any thoughts about what I just said, go to my website, www.gestersvoice dot com, click on the leave a message button and tell me what you think. Or send me an email, doom daily show at gmail dot com. But make it something intelligent if you can. But anyway We're gonna call this episode a little bit early today on Friday. I've got stuff to do. ⁓ and and really I think we've exhausted this article as much as we can. So I will see you guys back here on Monday for another excited episode of the Doom Daily Show. Producer Scooter, sir, if you would push that button. Jester wants to thank you for listening to the Doom Daily Show. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe. Facts and opinions. This is
