- 0:22Speaker 2: inspiration to take on the day. Chili, why are you
- 0:24Speaker 2: feeling good today?
- 0:26Speaker 3: Well, you know when you make coffee in the morning
- 0:28Speaker 3: and you measure with your eyes with the creamer. Yes,
- 0:31Speaker 3: today I got it so perfect, just the right splash amount. Yeah,
- 0:36Speaker 3: that the balance is perfection. And I'm going to savor
- 0:40Speaker 3: this first cup because I don't know that I'll get
- 0:42Speaker 3: the ratio this perfect and my second or third.
- 0:44Speaker 2: You know, I just dumped what was left in the
- 0:47Speaker 2: one thing into my cup this morning and it tastes fine,
- 0:50Speaker 2: So I'm gonna rock it because you know, God knows
- 0:54Speaker 2: coffee is very important when you keep the schedule that
- 0:56Speaker 2: we keep around these parts. Yeah, I'm feeling good this
- 0:59Speaker 2: morning because since I got out of the hospital, I've

- 1:20Speaker 3: the same time every day and brings you to work
- 1:21Speaker 3: since you couldn't drive from your knees.
- 1:23Speaker 2: And you know what, just I was thinking on the
- 1:25Speaker 2: way in today that I'm really lucky and blessed to
- 1:28Speaker 2: have him in my life, making sure that I'm good
- 1:32Speaker 2: to go in the morning. He's there. He's always very positive.
- 1:36Speaker 2: You know. When I'm bouncing out and getting you know,
- 1:39Speaker 2: myself situated to come upstairs, he's like, you know, have
- 1:42Speaker 2: a blessed day today. And I'm like, you know what, man,
- 1:45Speaker 2: it's little things like that that you just can't put
- 1:47Speaker 2: a price tag on. And it's little things like that
- 1:50Speaker 2: that you should just savor and let marinate for a minute,
- 1:55Speaker 2: because you know what, not everybody is that way, and
- 1:58Speaker 2: kindness is Kindness is contagious, just like joy is contagious,

- 3:08Speaker 3: place a full time police officer in every high school,

- 3:19Speaker 3: also state rules make that proposal difficult. Maryland is starting
- 3:24Speaker 3: work on a new school rating system to replace its
- 3:27Speaker 3: current star based report cards, which officials say don't clearly

- 4:50Speaker 2: us to turn our attention toward what you're going through
- 4:53Speaker 2: this morning.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It's our morning mindset where we share a quote for
- 4:56Speaker 3: you to think about as you take on the rest
- 4:58Speaker 3: of your day.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Ponder this today from General George S. Patten. Success is
- 5:04Speaker 2: how high you bounce when you hit bottom. Success is
- 5:08Speaker 2: how high you bounce. Guaranteed human hear that mess up.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You know why this is important because resilience wins. Resilience
- 5:20Speaker 2: just stay the course overcome. You know, people fail all
- 5:24Speaker 2: the time, even if they tell you they don't, they
- 5:27Speaker 2: probably not being honest with the person they see in
- 5:29Speaker 2: the mirror. You do hit the bottom, you do stumble,
- 5:34Speaker 2: you do fall, But you know what success really is,
- 5:37Speaker 2: it's how you recover from that. How high will you
- 5:40Speaker 2: bounce today? Say something trips you up in life. Think
- 5:43Speaker 2: about that and let it guide you through this Thursday,
- 5:46Speaker 2: into a brand new month and the end of the
- 5:49Speaker 2: week tomorrow. All right, and share it with somebody who

- 6:01Speaker 2: All right, hopefully that helps you. And stay with Toby
- 6:03Speaker 2: and Chilly in the Morning here at ninety seven point
- 6:06Speaker 2: one WASHCHFM. Because next, an.
- 6:08Speaker 3: FBI behavior analyst came up with five ways we can
- 6:12Speaker 3: all get people to like us.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Well, you might want to deploy some of this today.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Stay there for even more Toby and Chilly in the
- 6:20Speaker 2: Morning on ninety seven point one wash FM. Gather around
- 6:23Speaker 2: class because this is very interesting. There's an FBI behavior
- 6:27Speaker 2: analyst who's put together a list, Chilli, of the five
- 6:29Speaker 2: ways that you and I can get people to like us.
- 6:32Speaker 3: So we should take notes on this. So one of
- 6:35Speaker 3: these is really obvious. I think reserving judgment, right, don't
- 6:38Speaker 3: be so judging about other people right. Also, setting aside
- 6:41Speaker 3: your ego. Don't try to always be right. Be curious
- 6:45Speaker 3: and ask thoughtful questions. Listen to make people feel like
- 6:48Speaker 3: they're valued. The body language is important. Smile, stay open,
- 6:52Speaker 3: and ask people about their challenges. Show interest in them.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Don't you think it's interesting how curiosity asking about challenges
- 7:00Speaker 2: is reserving judgment. Those three, to me kind of go
- 7:04Speaker 2: hand in hand. But you can't be curious about other
- 7:07Speaker 2: people unless you shelve your ego. That's interesting. All of
- 7:10Speaker 2: this really just kind of works together perfectly.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I think it's really important that you show curiosity when
- 7:16Speaker 3: you're talking to somebody. The other thing I'll add to
- 7:18Speaker 3: this is when they tell you something maybe they're going through,
- 7:21Speaker 3: whether it's good or bad. When you recall that the
- 7:24Speaker 3: next time you see them, like, hey, how did that go?
- 7:26Speaker 3: When you were you know, with that show or that
- 7:28Speaker 3: test or whatever, right, it shows them that, oh, wow,
- 7:31Speaker 3: you really were listening and you care?
- 7:33Speaker 2: I like you no, and you know what? And the
- 7:35Speaker 2: interesting thing about that curiosity is like, if you're too busy, well,
- 7:39Speaker 2: I think, well me I E me I I me
- 7:42Speaker 2: me you're just basically shutting that other person out. So
- 7:45Speaker 2: you're not being curious, you're being self centric, which is
- 7:48Speaker 2: not good. Again, the ego coming into place, So ask
- 7:52Speaker 2: somebody about their challenges today. Be curious, shelve your ego
- 7:56Speaker 2: and reserve judgment and see if people like you more
- 7:59Speaker 2: to day than they did yesterday. Now that you're armed
- 8:02Speaker 2: with this knowledge, and make sure you do it with
- 8:04Speaker 2: a smile. That's right, don't look stand offish. Don't give
- 8:08Speaker 2: them that mean mug they call him middle No mean mugging.

- 11:09Speaker 2: in the morning, you get Top Stories at the top
- 11:11Speaker 2: of the hour end, you get to join us in
- 11:14Speaker 2: interesting conversations like, for instance, what's your weird craving and
- 11:18Speaker 2: when do you have it? They did some research They
- 11:21Speaker 2: found when our peak food cravings happen, when we as
- 11:24Speaker 2: people have these cravings. But I think Chile and I
- 11:27Speaker 2: would rather hear what your late night cravings may be,
- 11:31Speaker 2: or what you crave like at random times. We're going
- 11:34Speaker 2: to talk about these cravings in minutes as Toby and
- 11:37Speaker 2: Chilly in the Morning continues to join the conversation. Eight
- 11:40Speaker 2: sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one. Remember
- 11:44Speaker 2: the time three forty two in the afternoon, Toby and
- 11:47Speaker 2: Chilly in the morning, it's ninety seven point one WASHFM.
- 11:50Speaker 2: According to science at three forty two, this afternoon cravings
- 11:55Speaker 2: will hit you the hardest. Yeah.
- 11:57Speaker 3: When I did this in Top Stories the other day,
- 11:59Speaker 3: I said, I thought to myself, what time is that
- 12:02Speaker 3: translated to our world? You and I to me because
- 12:05Speaker 3: our day starts let's say at two am versus the
- 12:08Speaker 3: typical six thirty am. So for us, instead of it
- 12:11Speaker 3: being three forty two pm, it lands about what time.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I would think, like eleven o'clock, eleven to twelve noon. Okay, right,
- 12:19Speaker 2: that makes sense, which is okay because they're not cravings.
- 12:21Speaker 2: That's just lunch to the rest of the world. It
- 12:25Speaker 2: is right. But have you ever had like.
- 12:27Speaker 3: An unusual craving or like a really intense craving, And
- 12:31Speaker 3: if so, is it the same thing every time?
- 12:33Speaker 2: No? Okay, I have to fight it off. But there
- 12:36Speaker 2: are two things that I've noticed lately that I've been
- 12:38Speaker 2: craving before I fall asleep or when I go to bed.
- 12:41Speaker 2: One is ice cream. Ooh, that's a good one.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:45Speaker 2: And then the second one is M and m's Wow,
- 12:48Speaker 2: because Eminem sent us a bunch of M and ms
- 12:51Speaker 2: and I've been like, oh, well, I think I want
- 12:52Speaker 2: to have those M and ms that taste like lemon
- 12:54Speaker 2: meringue pie. Again, that is funny.
- 12:56Speaker 5: You know.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I have to remind myself that, hey, you know what, dude,
- 12:59Speaker 2: you're about to go to sleep. This is just going
- 13:01Speaker 2: to go right to your gut and you can't, you know,
- 13:04Speaker 2: work out the right way because your knees still healing.
- 13:07Speaker 2: So do you really want to wake up and gain
- 13:09Speaker 2: five pounds? The answer is no. So I've been using
- 13:11Speaker 2: that as kind of a mental thing, Yeah, to help
- 13:14Speaker 2: me overcome. What about you? What are you craving?
- 13:17Speaker 3: Sometimes it's it's like a piece of chocolate. But I
- 13:21Speaker 3: have to say, and don't laugh at me, but I'll
- 13:23Speaker 3: crave like a piece of fruit or some sort of
- 13:25Speaker 3: I don't know, like some apple, maybe a mandarin.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I know, I that's good though. I would rather crave
- 13:31Speaker 2: that than ice cream and M and M.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yeah, but I shouldn't be eating after a certain time period,
- 13:36Speaker 3: like I just want to go to those.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Like fruit is healthy, it go you know, it's not
- 13:40Speaker 2: like you know, not saying I'm not judging good, but
- 13:43Speaker 2: you know what I'm trying. My body's craving it because
- 13:45Speaker 2: it hasn't had enough of it. Yeah, my body's craving
- 13:48Speaker 2: it because it's sugar. So are you craving anything at
- 13:51Speaker 2: three forty two in the afternoon? Is it comfort food?
- 13:54Speaker 2: That's what this research found out. So tell us eight
- 13:57Speaker 2: sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one is
- 13:59Speaker 2: then remember what's your weird craving? We would love to
- 14:03Speaker 2: hear what it is. Join the conversation and we'll get
- 14:06Speaker 2: to your thoughts. Next with Toby and Chilly in the
- 14:08Speaker 2: morning three forty two in the afternoon, at exactly that time,
- 14:13Speaker 2: you're gonna start craving something. Toby and Chilly in the
- 14:16Speaker 2: Morning ninety seven point one wash FM on. There's a
- 14:20Speaker 2: whole lot to this. Basically, you start craving comfort foods
- 14:24Speaker 2: and fried foods.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and the average person gets two cravings a day,
- 14:28Speaker 3: and some are more intense than others. So it got
- 14:30Speaker 3: us wondering, like, let's talk about, let's say the middle
- 14:33Speaker 3: of the night or late at night, what is the
- 14:35Speaker 3: most unusual thing you've ever craved?
- 14:37Speaker 2: Well, I am otherwise known as William in Fairfax, Good morning,
- 14:42Speaker 2: what's going on?
- 14:43Speaker 5: I want to woke up in the middle of the
- 14:45Speaker 5: night and I just really wanted egg salad.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Okay, that's not random or anything. That's super weird because
- 14:50Speaker 2: I haven't had it in years? And did you go
- 14:53Speaker 2: through with it? I made it, I ate it and
- 14:55Speaker 2: went to bed and it was awesome. I'm just gonna
- 14:57Speaker 2: have to take your word for it because well X,
- 15:00Speaker 2: yeah you're not a fan.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Nope, but I'll give you credit there because there's some
- 15:04Speaker 3: protein in there and that's not so bad before bedtime.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Truth right on, So there's a positive for you. William
- 15:09Speaker 2: in Fairfax, thanks for the call this morning to Kensington. Carla,
- 15:13Speaker 2: what's craven?
- 15:14Speaker 5: I eat pickles, fifting peanut butter and I'm not even
- 15:17Speaker 5: pregnant pms. Perhaps not even emotional, just curious.
- 15:21Speaker 2: There's nothing wrong with some healthy curiosity.
- 15:23Speaker 3: And the worst part, I'd do it again, Carla. You
- 15:26Speaker 3: should not apologize for your cravings. If you like it,
- 15:29Speaker 3: who cares if it sounds cuckoo to the rest of us.
- 15:32Speaker 2: That's right. However, that's an interesting food pairing for sure.
