- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Couple texts on the uh uh husband that is now unfortunately no longer with us uh walking the planet, but decided to have a private investigator at his funeral stand up just as the best man, uh not the best man, his best friend, who was cheating with his wife, uh, and you know, they discovered it, just as he was getting to stand up and and say some nice words about his best friend.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, give a eulogy.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Uh the uh PI is like, nah, sit down.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: We got some stuff that we're gonna do right here.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: So in front, I want you to envision most funerals that you go to, uh, sure there's small funerals, but sometimes there's larger ones where like seven, eight rows deep have people, you know, sitting there.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's so sad.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: And then all of a sudden he's like, he's a cheater, and you're like, What?
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: Some of these funerals, standing room only, people are in the the outskirts, like extra.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: I was at a funeral once where I was in the overflow room.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: That's how many people love this guy.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: So, and then finding out that, yeah, the the wife cheated.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Well, this is the text the wife's a hoe.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: Needs can be met with a rose.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I mean, if that rose vibrates, yeah.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's that's enough of that.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: I don't think it was just the simple gesture of a flower, Allie.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Just kind of betting that.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna take you over to this for a couple seconds here, and um, I think the day has come and gone.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Your Miss USA 2025 is Nebraska.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: So turns out the CW, which was going to be the home of the Miss USA and Miss Team USA pageants, pageants, which were scheduled to air later this week, Wednesday and Thursday to be exact.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Well, the Miss USA organizers said that the um the what the CW has uh basically said no, we're not gonna air it.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: That's okay, because you know, some things just need to go away after a while.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: And and we've had this same thing even in our building where we go, you know, we've been doing that promotion a long time.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Let's let's do something fresh.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: I just this is so weird you're bringing this up.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: I was just listening to a podcast the other day about uh it was a lot of like women's history, yeah, but they talked a lot about the first pageants, which started in the 50s, like the you know, Miss Us USA and everything.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: And there was one uh contestant who said, I refuse to wear a bathing suit, uh, I don't want to be known for that, da da da.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: And so then they got a choice, and it was the pageants used to be sponsored by Catalina swimsuits.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And after this, Catalina dropped them as a switch as a sponsor because they said, Well, if you're not gonna wear our swimsuits, then we're not gonna sponsor it.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I just think that that we've just evolved from there.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: The times have changed, the times have changed.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because they're trying to say it's contractual issues and production arrangements.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: It's the same with Bonnoroo leaving.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: It's not just it, I don't think it's just weather damage to a field.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: I'm actually gonna go one step deeper.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: I think it's more with the pageants.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: I know there are people that would argue for young girls, it's a big confidence booster.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: You know, and if you believe that, uh, then by all means you continue and you find the pageants that that are out there that you would like to have your child participate in.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: I think society's changed.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: I just I don't think I mean, don't get me wrong, it's not like two hours of watching beautiful women is ever bad television.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: However, I just think times have changed.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: We don't we I'm saying we, I'm not a female, but you don't it's not just about your beauty that makes you anymore.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: It's what you are as an entire person.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I'm getting on the right soapbox for a change.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: It's what you are as a whole, inside, outside, and not just the pageant part of it.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Right, and and even when you're watching it, it just moves so slow.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Well, there's that and you know, the even the questions, it's like uh I feel like over the years though, we did get some good audio from some of those pageants.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, but it just it it's just like this is painful to listen to, not very often.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: And and even with the swimsuit competition or some of the talent, it just is like watching your kids' talent show and couldn't end soon enough.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: All right, that's also a fair assessment.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: I just don't like how I won't have to worry about it this year.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: No, I don't like how slow it is.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, you might have a great question here or there, a great talent here or there.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: But wrap it up.
