- 0:26Speaker 4: Remember everyone just don't be yourselves.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'm kseb am 700 the voice of texas yes that's awesome.
- 0:40Speaker 5: And now, Craig Collins and Wayne Dolcefino.
- 0:42Speaker 6: Thank you, Dana Lash.
- 0:44Speaker 7: The Dana Show from 2 to 4 o'clock Monday through
- 0:47Speaker 7: Friday right here on The Voice of Texas. I think
- 0:51Speaker 7: Russell does a really good job of setting up the
- 0:52Speaker 7: entire day on his show. He says that Wayne and
- 0:55Speaker 7: I are coming up, that Brian Kilmeade is after us.
- 0:59Speaker 7: I think the drive home is Dana and Chris X.
- 1:02Speaker 7: Keep it right here on The Voice of Texas.
- 1:04Speaker 6: I like that.
- 1:05Speaker 7: Let's play the audio that everybody's heard because I enjoy it.
- 1:09Speaker 7: And then we'll talk about stuff that maybe you haven't
- 1:12Speaker 7: actually heard.
- 1:12Speaker 6: I'm just impressed you're listening. Every day, man. I appreciate that.
- 1:15Speaker 6: I appreciate that, brother. Every day, dude. And honestly, I
- 1:18Speaker 6: do think that Western Michigan got hosed.
- 1:20Speaker 1: They did.
- 1:21Speaker 6: It's ridiculous. Yeah, they got screwed.
- 1:23Speaker 7: There was not one second left on that clock. How
- 1:25Speaker 7: dare you? Plus, I'm a Notre Dame fan and I
- 1:27Speaker 7: hate Michigan. So really, there's another.
- 1:29Speaker 6: Y'all got a big one this weekend. I know.
- 1:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 6: Against Rice. Rice. I wish that was here. I just
- 1:35Speaker 6: wish that that was here. Of course you do. Then
- 1:37Speaker 6: you go to the game. But how cool would that be?
- 1:40Speaker 7: And I imagine Rice fans are probably not terrible people.
- 1:44Speaker 7: Not like Houston Astros fans.
- 1:47Speaker 6: That's true.
- 1:48Speaker 9: That's true.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Did you just say it was true? I just said
- 1:50Speaker 6: that Houston Astros fans are terrible people. Astro fans can
- 1:53Speaker 6: be little.
- 1:54Speaker 7: When I go in my Yankee jersey to, you know,
- 1:58Speaker 7: whatever the hell it's called now, Minute Maid, they get
- 2:01Speaker 7: mad at me.
- 2:02Speaker 10: Dyken Park.
- 2:02Speaker 6: Dyken Park. That doesn't matter. I don't know what that is.
- 2:04Speaker 6: Minute Maid, they get upset. They're all angry. Of course
- 2:07Speaker 6: they do. I assume the Rice people would be nice
- 2:10Speaker 6: to me. They would be nice. They'd be nice.
- 2:11Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Listen, nobody's worse, though, than the Philly fans. That's true. Well,
- 2:16Speaker 6: Yankee fans suck, too. A lot of New York fans suck. Well,
- 2:19Speaker 6: they all suck. It is what it is. But anyway, no,
- 2:22Speaker 6: I listen every morning. Me and Dr.
- 2:23Speaker 7: Mobley, I think, are listening at the exact same time
- 2:26Speaker 7: every day because he talks about your show every day, too.
- 2:29Speaker 6: Have you noticed that? He does listen to the show
- 2:30Speaker 6: and his role in the work as well. I hope Dr.
- 2:33Speaker 7: Mobley is listening to this so that he can mention,
- 2:35Speaker 7: I know it's Thursday, he won't be on to Monday,
- 2:37Speaker 7: so he can mention that I throw him out there
- 2:39Speaker 7: from time to time. And actually, you know what I
- 2:40Speaker 7: was also thinking? I think I might at some point
- 2:43Speaker 7: have the Money Matters guys on this show. Have they
- 2:46Speaker 7: done an interview on The Morning Show before?
- 2:47Speaker 6: I don't think they have. Because economy is a pretty
- 2:51Speaker 6: big conversation. It's a pretty big discussion.
- 2:54Speaker 7: And I do like sometimes what they say that sounds
- 2:56Speaker 7: helpful about how we can all make money.
- 2:58Speaker 1: You just tell me when.
- 2:58Speaker 11: I'll make it happen.
- 2:59Speaker 9: All right.
- 2:59Speaker 7: Well, I think I might even want to hear from
- 3:01Speaker 7: them as early as next week on whether or not
- 3:03Speaker 7: five grand to every American is a good move. because
- 3:06Speaker 7: that's pretty funny. But President Trump did say that yesterday.
- 3:09Speaker 7: And as I said, this went rather viral.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Here we go. If I actually get this play there.
- 3:14Speaker 12: House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them,
- 3:18Speaker 12: because of our economic. Tremendous economic success, like tremendous in history,
- 3:25Speaker 12: we've never had anything like what's happening. But because of
- 3:28Speaker 12: our tremendous strength and success economically. I will issue a
- 3:34Speaker 12: dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of
- 3:38Speaker 12: America for five thousand dollars.
- 3:46Speaker 6: I think it's incredible.
- 3:47Speaker 9: I do.
- 3:47Speaker 7: And I don't even actually care if it happens, which
- 3:50Speaker 7: is probably something that's terrible to say, because I'd like
- 3:52Speaker 7: my five grand. I'm assuming you want your five grand, too,
- 3:55Speaker 7: if it's a thing that actually happened. And there's a
- 3:57Speaker 7: lot of people that will argue that.
- 3:59Speaker 6: We should pay.
- 3:59Speaker 7: Down deficit and not actually send money to every single
- 4:03Speaker 7: adult American. But I just love how it's fighting fire
- 4:06Speaker 7: with fire. As I said before, and I'll say again,
- 4:09Speaker 7: it's such a genius, unignorable thing to do at a convention.
- 4:14Speaker 7: It makes the convention make more sense. It makes every
- 4:17Speaker 7: part about this more interesting to me because you just
- 4:21Speaker 7: simply can't deny that the president of the United States
- 4:25Speaker 7: is now willing to play the same game Democrats are playing.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Which is essentially offered a buy your vote.
- 4:31Speaker 7: If the Republicans win the House and they win the Senate,
- 4:34Speaker 7: you get five grand. I don't know if it actually happened.
- 4:39Speaker 7: I don't know why anyone would vote against it, to
- 4:40Speaker 7: be honest. If we got the money, why don't we
- 4:42Speaker 7: send the money out there? It's just it's great. Well,
- 4:46Speaker 7: that is obviously the most played or biggest snapshot of
- 4:49Speaker 7: a thing. And the left actually now has to tear
- 4:52Speaker 7: it apart. They now have to object to the thing.
- 4:54Speaker 7: that normally they would really love and they would want
- 4:57Speaker 7: to do as much as humanly possible. That's the other game, too.
- 5:00Speaker 7: I should say that one of the other things that
- 5:02Speaker 7: Trump does well is he forces the left to complain
- 5:06Speaker 7: about the stuff that they actually often say that they're
- 5:09Speaker 7: a fan of because he somehow supports it. And they
- 5:13Speaker 7: hate Trump supporting anything that they also believe. But that
- 5:16Speaker 7: wasn't the only thing. As I said, Trump made some
- 5:18Speaker 7: jokes about James Tallarico. Brandon Gill made jokes about Tallarico.
- 5:22Speaker 7: I think this is OK to play. on the radio
- 5:26Speaker 7: because he's not actually, you know, saying anything inappropriate. He's just,
- 5:31Speaker 7: he's restating something that Tallarico had said multiple times and
- 5:35Speaker 7: he's confused about it, but this is the president of
- 5:36Speaker 7: the United States.
- 5:37Speaker 12: He was also somebody that hated eating meat.
- 5:41Speaker 6: He does.
- 5:43Speaker 11: But he ran a campaign to beat meat.
- 5:46Speaker 6: He called it beat meat. I don't know what the
- 5:48Speaker 6: hell he meant by that.
- 5:52Speaker 8: Neither do I, sir.
- 5:53Speaker 6: These people are going to tell me, what the hell
- 5:55Speaker 6: is he? Don't tell them. Is it beet meat?
- 5:58Speaker 9: Don't.
- 6:02Speaker 6: This is so good.
- 6:04Speaker 12: But it was bad for his image, so he started
- 6:07Speaker 12: eating meat. Yeah. And he recently, it's getting worse. I'm
- 6:12Speaker 12: getting myself in trouble.
- 6:14Speaker 10: It's getting worse.
- 6:18Speaker 7: What's so funny about that to me is that President
- 6:22Speaker 7: Trump in that moment is making a lot of people
- 6:26Speaker 7: that might also think that some of those jokes are
- 6:28Speaker 7: inappropriate laugh. Whether or not you understand what the joke is,
- 6:32Speaker 7: and that's OK, I'm not going to explain it. That
- 6:34Speaker 7: will get us in trouble on the radio. But this
- 6:36Speaker 7: is just to me, it's hilarious that, you know, I
- 6:41Speaker 7: don't know. No one else does that type of thing
- 6:44Speaker 7: this way. And that type of thing being a public
- 6:47Speaker 7: speaking moment. Like Trump is giving. Actually, I'll say this
- 6:50Speaker 7: last thing before I move on to audio. That's not Trump,
- 6:52Speaker 7: but other people who also spoke at the Republican National Convention.
- 6:57Speaker 7: Anytime anyone thinks that Trump's brain is as broken as
- 7:01Speaker 7: Biden's brain was while Biden was in office and the
- 7:03Speaker 7: left says that, obviously, I don't think a lot of
- 7:06Speaker 7: people listening to the show believe that. You just have
- 7:09Speaker 7: to watch a speech. And I'm not saying that he
- 7:12Speaker 7: he doesn't throw a lot of stuff at the wall.
- 7:14Speaker 7: I think Trump and I actually have a similar style
- 7:17Speaker 7: sometimes in how we speak in a lot of things.
- 7:20Speaker 7: A lot of thoughts all come out at the same time.
- 7:22Speaker 7: But you're still coherent. Your brain is not struggling. I
- 7:26Speaker 7: would actually say that you're thinking rather fast when you
- 7:28Speaker 7: think of multiple things to talk about at the same time.
- 7:32Speaker 7: If you're asked a question about, sir, what are you
- 7:34Speaker 7: going to do to make the economy even better? And
- 7:36Speaker 7: then you all of a sudden mentioned six things. Maybe
- 7:39Speaker 7: it's an East Coast thing.
- 7:40Speaker 6: I don't know what it is. But I follow the
- 7:42Speaker 6: logic quite often.
- 7:43Speaker 7: And you can definitely tell his brain is not broken
- 7:46Speaker 7: the way that Biden's is and the way that they
- 7:48Speaker 7: hit him from all of the different media outlets that
- 7:51Speaker 7: are out there. I know we're up against a break,
- 7:53Speaker 7: but I want to play one more. I'll play Tim
- 7:55Speaker 7: Scott here and then we'll play Brandon Gill and everyone
- 7:58Speaker 7: else and some of the shots that were being taken
- 8:01Speaker 7: at Tallarico and also all the crazy stuff that Tallarico said.
- 8:05Speaker 6: But this is Tim Scott taking aim.
- 8:08Speaker 7: At Tallarico and understanding that a message about faith has
- 8:14Speaker 7: to actually follow faith and not just whatever the hell
- 8:17Speaker 7: you want.
- 8:17Speaker 13: James Tallarico claims there are six genders. He believes God
- 8:25Speaker 13: is non-binary. He thinks God needs special woke pronouns. Texas,
- 8:35Speaker 13: we know who God is.
- 8:38Speaker 6: We're talking about Jesus.
- 8:43Speaker 13: I said the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords,
- 8:46Speaker 13: the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.
- 8:51Speaker 14: That's our God.
- 8:52Speaker 6: All right, I can't do that. I'm just going to
- 8:56Speaker 6: put that out there. I can't. That was well delivered.
- 8:59Speaker 7: Tim Scott crushed it, and Tim Scott crushed The point
- 9:02Speaker 7: of it, that Texans do actually understand faith far better
- 9:05Speaker 7: than Tallarico does. But I just love the preacher moment that, again,
- 9:09Speaker 7: I'm not going to emulate.
- 9:10Speaker 6: All right, we're going to take a break.
- 9:12Speaker 7: After the break, we will play some more of the
- 9:14Speaker 7: audio from what I thought was a very big story
- 9:18Speaker 7: out there in the world and should be a big
- 9:20Speaker 7: story out there in the world. Everything that was said
- 9:22Speaker 7: at the Republican National Convention, because I do think the
- 9:24Speaker 7: message for Republicans to voters is.
- 9:27Speaker 6: Taking shape and taking shape the way I wanted it to.
- 9:30Speaker 6: Quick break, a lot more. KSEV Mornings, AM 700, The

- 12:20Speaker 7: KSCV AM 700, The Voice of Texas. This is KSCV Mornings.
- 12:27Speaker 7: I'm Craig Collins. Wayne DelTrofino is on special assignment. I
- 12:31Speaker 7: don't know if I'm supposed to read the text I
- 12:32Speaker 7: got from him this morning, but essentially he said he
- 12:35Speaker 7: wasn't going to make it.
- 12:36Speaker 6: He said that he had planned on it and then
- 12:38Speaker 6: he wasn't going to come in. I think I can read.
- 12:40Speaker 7: He probably doesn't care. Wayne doesn't care about it. Like transparency,
- 12:44Speaker 7: he's the most transparent guy ever. I was just trying
- 12:46Speaker 7: to look at Russell as I said that to try
- 12:47Speaker 7: to get some sort of approval. Wayne's text just said,
- 12:50Speaker 7: too old, not doing today.
- 12:52Speaker 6: That's it.
- 12:54Speaker 7: That's the entire text. Too old, not doing today. And
- 12:57Speaker 7: then he said he'll be back tomorrow. I think he
- 12:59Speaker 7: said something like, go get him, young gun, which was
- 13:02Speaker 7: nice of him. And now here I am. But I
- 13:04Speaker 7: think that we'll have Wayne back tomorrow on the show.
- 13:09Speaker 7: Wayne gets to come in whenever he wants. That is
- 13:11Speaker 7: the rule for a Wayne Dolcefino. Let's do this. Let's
- 13:14Speaker 7: actually play the Paxton audio. And I have like two
- 13:17Speaker 7: minutes of this. I probably don't need to play anywhere
- 13:19Speaker 7: near all of it. But Ken Paxton did say that,
- 13:23Speaker 7: you know, Tallarico is a terrible person, essentially that he's
- 13:27Speaker 7: in for a lot of trans things that make no
- 13:30Speaker 7: sense to a lot of us.
- 13:33Speaker 6: Is Ken Paxton the best speaker? No, he's not terrible.
- 13:38Speaker 7: And actually, I do like kind of what Trump said
- 13:41Speaker 7: about him because Trump made a joke about this. He
- 13:43Speaker 7: made a joke about Paxton and how obvious it is
- 13:47Speaker 7: that you got to vote for him. but how maybe
- 13:49Speaker 7: the thing that you're not going to get with Ken
- 13:52Speaker 7: Paxton is the thing that you most want or the
- 13:55Speaker 7: thing that so many people seem to care about with.
- 13:57Speaker 6: All politicians, which is just how good they do in
- 14:00Speaker 6: front of a camera.
- 14:01Speaker 7: But here, let's play Paxton first, because he took a
- 14:04Speaker 7: good shot, and I thought that it deserved to be
- 14:06Speaker 7: its own little viral moment. It's probably not going to
- 14:08Speaker 7: get covered anywhere near as much as it should, but
- 14:12Speaker 7: this is the kind of thing you have to deliver
- 14:15Speaker 7: a lot more of because we need— Tallarico to feel
- 14:19Speaker 7: as though he's finally on the defensive. And it does seem,
- 14:23Speaker 7: at least over the last 24 hours, that he's felt
- 14:25Speaker 7: that way. By and large, he's been allowed, Lieutenant Governor
- 14:30Speaker 7: Dan Patrick said this yesterday, to run around unchecked. The
- 14:34Speaker 7: narrative has been out there, but it hasn't been as
- 14:37Speaker 7: overwhelming as it should be that he's a radical lunatic
- 14:40Speaker 7: because money has probably been a problem for the But
- 14:44Speaker 7: here's what Ken said yesterday about Tallarico.
- 14:47Speaker 16: And this guy is really obsessed with transitions. He wants
- 14:51Speaker 16: to transition your kids.
- 14:53Speaker 6: He does.
- 14:56Speaker 16: He wants to transition Texas off of oil and gas.
- 14:59Speaker 6: He does. That's a bad one.
- 15:03Speaker 16: How about we transition him and his crazy ideas right
- 15:06Speaker 16: out of Texas?
- 15:10Speaker 7: I like when Paxton also can tell that something he
- 15:12Speaker 7: said landed because he seems extra happy about that.
- 15:14Speaker 6: You see the extra little smirk and smile. But it's
- 15:17Speaker 6: a good line. Is it delivered the best possible way?
- 15:21Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 15:22Speaker 7: Here's what President Trump said about Ken Paxton, though, which
- 15:25Speaker 7: also kind of went viral.
- 15:26Speaker 6: In the whole United States. So I am very sorry, Ken.
- 15:32Speaker 6: I hated to do it. And I'll go.
- 15:38Speaker 12: Backstage, sir, you shouldn't have said that. You've given them
- 15:41Speaker 12: a sign. But let me tell you, it's true.
- 15:44Speaker 11: He may not dress right.
- 15:46Speaker 12: He may not talk exactly perfectly. And he may not
- 15:49Speaker 12: be the best looking guy I've ever seen.
- 15:52Speaker 11: But you know what he is?
- 15:53Speaker 12: He's the greatest attorney general in America. And he deserves
- 16:00Speaker 12: to be your next senator.
- 16:01Speaker 9: He does.
- 16:03Speaker 7: Yes, President Trump said he may not speak exactly the
- 16:06Speaker 7: right way, he may not dress exactly the right way,
- 16:09Speaker 7: and he may not look as good as some other
- 16:12Speaker 7: people look in this world.
- 16:14Speaker 6: But that doesn't matter. What matters is policy.
- 16:16Speaker 7: And I think it's a really good way to demonstrate
- 16:19Speaker 7: that it's not, you know, a popularity contest. At least
- 16:22Speaker 7: it shouldn't be to win political positions in this country.
- 16:25Speaker 7: But that's President Trump on that stage, being willing to
- 16:29Speaker 7: also be somewhat critical of Ken Paxton.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Let's play this.
- 16:32Speaker 7: This is Brandon Gill's shot at Paxton or at Tallarico,
- 16:38Speaker 7: which I thought was done quite well and honestly is
- 16:41Speaker 7: the kind of thing I wish that Paxton were saying
- 16:43Speaker 7: the way that Brandon Gill is saying it.
- 16:44Speaker 9: Here we go.
- 16:45Speaker 17: And here in Texas, we have James. God is non-binary.
- 16:48Speaker 17: There are six genders. We need to dismantle capitalism, Tallarico.
- 16:58Speaker 17: It's somebody who will hollow out your most deeply held
- 17:02Speaker 17: Christian faith.
- 17:03Speaker 6: Yes.
- 17:04Speaker 17: And wear it like a skin suit.
- 17:08Speaker 1: That's extreme.
- 17:09Speaker 6: That is extreme.
- 17:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 17:10Speaker 7: To hollow out my faith and wear it like a
- 17:12Speaker 7: fake skin suit.
- 17:13Speaker 6: That's incredible. The shot is incredible.
- 17:16Speaker 7: But yes, Tallarico is everything that we're not. And he's
- 17:21Speaker 7: pretending he is no longer of those opinions that he shared,
- 17:25Speaker 7: not just like on social media this one time when
- 17:29Speaker 7: he was trying to be provocative, he said some of
- 17:31Speaker 7: these things while speaking to like a church congregation at
- 17:34Speaker 7: a church I don't think I could ever attend.
- 17:36Speaker 6: And so this is really the point.
- 17:38Speaker 7: This is really the most important discussion facing Texas moving
- 17:42Speaker 7: forward is how likely you are to believe Tallarico now
- 17:47Speaker 7: compared to Tallarico before. Because if there are too many
- 17:51Speaker 7: people that are willing to believe that he's not as
- 17:54Speaker 7: extreme as he actually is, I think there's a better
- 17:57Speaker 7: chance that he wins. And if there are a lot
- 17:59Speaker 7: of people who understand that if you lie to me
- 18:01Speaker 7: once and then you lie to me again, that at
- 18:04Speaker 7: some point I can't let you keep lying to me
- 18:07Speaker 7: because he's definitively a liar at this point, definitively someone
- 18:11Speaker 7: who has backtracked on almost everything, then he loses.
- 18:15Speaker 6: I want to play this, though. I thought this was interesting.
- 18:18Speaker 7: The Media Research Center found some audio footage of somebody,
- 18:25Speaker 7: NBC of all people, making at least one direct mention
- 18:29Speaker 7: of how Tallarico wants to upend capitalism.
- 18:32Speaker 6: I'll play this audio first.
- 18:33Speaker 18: Himself under fire for past controversial comments like this call
- 18:38Speaker 18: to dismantle capitalism.
- 18:39Speaker 4: The link between climate change and white supremacy and capitalism
- 18:44Speaker 4: in our country and I think only ending the ways
- 18:47Speaker 4: that all three of those oppressive systems work together are
- 18:50Speaker 4: we going to be able to begin the process of
- 18:51Speaker 4: dismantling them.
- 18:52Speaker 19: Did you mean that? So I've missed the mark on
- 18:56Speaker 19: statements that I've made in the past. I'll be the
- 18:57Speaker 19: first to admit that. I was talking about when you
- 19:00Speaker 19: listen to my my entire comments was not capitalism, but
- 19:04Speaker 19: crony capitalism, which is what we have today.
- 19:06Speaker 7: Yeah, no, you said capitalism, bud. And you also said
- 19:08Speaker 7: dismantling it. It's amazing that he's just going to say
- 19:11Speaker 7: that he missed the mark on a bunch of things
- 19:14Speaker 7: because he doesn't like the fact that this is an
- 19:16Speaker 7: effective strategy against him. And that's what terrifies Tallarico. If
- 19:20Speaker 7: I were part of Tallarico's campaign, It should be horrible.
- 19:24Speaker 7: I would I would hate that. And the lack of
- 19:26Speaker 7: having any sort of good food and a whole bunch
- 19:28Speaker 7: of salads that we eat all the day, all the
- 19:30Speaker 7: time there. But what I do think is most interesting
- 19:34Speaker 7: about a discussion about Tallarico and how he plans the
- 19:37Speaker 7: next couple of months is that they're terrified of you
- 19:40Speaker 7: knowing who he actually is. And that should be a problem.
- 19:42Speaker 7: Here's another one where he pretends his position has completely changed.
- 19:46Speaker 20: 2021 hearing, you said there are six biological sexes. Do
- 19:50Speaker 20: you still believe that standing here with me right now?
- 19:53Speaker 19: No, I've missed the mark on some of my past statements.
- 19:56Speaker 19: I will be the first to admit it. What I
- 19:58Speaker 19: meant is that there are two sexes and then there's
- 20:00Speaker 19: a small percentage of people with genetic abnormalities. I obviously
- 20:04Speaker 19: didn't say it correctly. There are not six sexes. There
- 20:06Speaker 19: are two. And And I think the reason that politicians
- 20:11Speaker 19: in that convention center across the street want to talk
- 20:14Speaker 19: about six sexes is because they don't want to talk
- 20:16Speaker 19: about $ 6 diesel.
- 20:17Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll stop it right there. I let him take
- 20:19Speaker 7: his shot because, no, they actually want to know who
- 20:22Speaker 7: you are as a person. The reason that people talk
- 20:24Speaker 7: about this stuff is that it does matter when you
- 20:27Speaker 7: actually are going to vote on certain bills and try
- 20:29Speaker 7: to get certain things passed in our country, what you
- 20:32Speaker 7: actually believe, what you actually think is most important. And here's...
- 20:36Speaker 7: the most valuable takeaway from the tala rico i misspoke
- 20:40Speaker 7: when i said that and i hate i hate to
- 20:42Speaker 7: do this but i'm gonna do this uh... and i'm
- 20:45Speaker 7: gonna explain to you what i'm gonna do i'm gonna
- 20:47Speaker 7: fight in the weeds what i mean by that when
- 20:49Speaker 7: i say that is i'm gonna take the position that
- 20:51Speaker 7: the opponent talk and i'm gonna argue the logic of
- 20:54Speaker 7: it i'm not gonna just say that all of its
- 20:56Speaker 7: crap when tala rico says that what he meant years
- 21:00Speaker 7: ago that there are six genders is that there's really
- 21:04Speaker 7: two genders men and women and then four abnormalities that
- 21:08Speaker 7: exist within an entirely small subset of people. And it's
- 21:12Speaker 7: not four, by the way, but there are people who
- 21:15Speaker 7: are born with genetic abnormalities. It's like. 00 something percent.
- 21:21Speaker 7: What he's actually saying is that at that time, if
- 21:25Speaker 7: we were to believe him now, like if I were
- 21:27Speaker 7: to take his statement now as honest, he was saying
- 21:30Speaker 7: out loud something that he knew the radical left would like,
- 21:33Speaker 7: because the radical left doesn't believe that there are simply
- 21:36Speaker 7: six genders because there's four abnormalities. The radical left believes
- 21:40Speaker 7: that you can decide what gender you are, that I
- 21:43Speaker 7: can wake up tomorrow, decide I'm a woman, and then
- 21:45Speaker 7: walk around and be a woman.
- 21:47Speaker 6: That's their position.
- 21:49Speaker 7: That's the thing Tallarico was signaling to the radical left
- 21:52Speaker 7: that he also believes in saying it verbatim a certain
- 21:56Speaker 7: number of years ago. And to say it differently now
- 21:59Speaker 7: and to try to couch it in some version of
- 22:02Speaker 7: science or or something, it's amazing to watch because it's desperate.
- 22:08Speaker 7: It feels to me like it's desperate because he can't
- 22:11Speaker 7: keep saying to every single position that he had before
- 22:14Speaker 7: that he just 100% doesn't believe it anymore, that he's
- 22:18Speaker 7: fully taken it all back.
- 22:20Speaker 6: But here, let's let him keep going.
- 22:22Speaker 20: Everything in between, God is non-binary. Do you still stand
- 22:26Speaker 20: by that?
- 22:26Speaker 9: I was being.
- 22:28Speaker 19: Provocative with that statement. I get that. What I was
- 22:30Speaker 19: trying to say is that you can't use human categories
- 22:33Speaker 19: to define God. And that's not controversial theologically.
- 22:38Speaker 20: In 2021, you said God is both masculine and feminine
- 22:40Speaker 20: and everything in between. God is non-binary. Do you still
- 22:45Speaker 20: stand by that?
- 22:46Speaker 19: I was being provocative with that statement.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I get that.
- 22:49Speaker 19: What I was trying to say.
- 22:50Speaker 6: Why be provocative with statements about God? Like, why?
- 22:53Speaker 7: I would also ask him that question. What was the
- 22:56Speaker 7: objective at the time? If you don't believe the thing
- 22:58Speaker 7: you said... to say something as radical as that about
- 23:01Speaker 7: as important of an individual for my belief system, for
- 23:07Speaker 7: all of our belief systems in the world. Why would
- 23:10Speaker 7: you say anything about God in a radical form? Honestly,
- 23:15Speaker 7: they teach you within faith that the entity you're supposed
- 23:19Speaker 7: to least take any sort of radical positions on is
- 23:23Speaker 7: God himself. Blasphemy is a thing, and I don't think
- 23:26Speaker 7: Tallarico is aware of that for whatever reason. But anyway,
- 23:29Speaker 7: that will be the next couple months. I've previewed it
- 23:32Speaker 7: for you for all of Texas. You will hear Tallarico
- 23:35Speaker 7: be asked again and again questions to the things that
- 23:39Speaker 7: are working as far as the campaign that Paxton and
- 23:42Speaker 7: others will be using to start attacking him to make
- 23:46Speaker 7: Texans more aware of who he actually is. And he'll
- 23:49Speaker 7: say that I was being provocative. I was being radical.
- 23:51Speaker 7: I thought that then. I don't think it now. Some
- 23:54Speaker 7: variation of that. And you have to decide if that's
- 23:56Speaker 7: true or not. And I can't fathom How many people
- 23:59Speaker 7: could actually believe that that is in fact true? I
- 24:02Speaker 7: just I just can't I can't think that a lot
- 24:05Speaker 7: of us are that dumb. And I hope that we're
- 24:07Speaker 7: not that dumb here in Texas because we can't afford
- 24:10Speaker 7: to be that dumb.
- 24:11Speaker 5: All right.
- 24:11Speaker 6: We'll take another break. We'll come back.
- 24:14Speaker 7: I know I've played a lot from the convention, but
- 24:16Speaker 7: I did really like it. I did think it was
- 24:17Speaker 7: a pretty big deal. A Republican national convention happening during
- 24:21Speaker 7: a midterm, which I think both sides will now inevitably
- 24:24Speaker 7: do every single midterm election season. So this will happen
- 24:29Speaker 7: in four years on both sides and happen all the
- 24:32Speaker 7: time after. But there's one last Brandon Gill quote that
- 24:36Speaker 7: I'd like to play that's coming up in just a
- 24:37Speaker 7: bit on The Voice of Texas, KSEV mornings.
- 24:57Speaker 6: Checker Pro Joe here.
- 24:58Speaker 21: Don't miss the Checker Pro Radio Show, your trusted source

- 25:04Speaker 21: Air Conditioning, keeping Houston cool and comfortable. Tune in every
- 25:07Speaker 21: Friday at 11 a.m. right here on AM 700 KSEV,
- 25:11Speaker 21: The Voice of Texas.
- 25:12Speaker 22: You know, where we go in life matters and what
- 25:14Speaker 22: we do matters. And we know that taking the wrong
- 25:17Speaker 22: road won't produce the best outcomes. Hi, I'm Kathy with
- 25:21Speaker 22: Baker Mortgage. And we want you to take the right
- 25:23Speaker 22: path when it comes to your mortgage. You know, we
- 25:26Speaker 22: live in a world of information overload, but always consider
- 25:29Speaker 22: the source. And these are not generally going to be
- 25:32Speaker 22: from your big bank or a random offer that comes
- 25:34Speaker 22: across your screen. Remember, you're always going to get a
- 25:37Speaker 22: better deal on one that you go looking for than
- 25:40Speaker 22: one that comes looking for you. You need to deal
- 25:42Speaker 22: with somebody who gives a you-know-what, whether or not you're
- 25:45Speaker 22: happy in the end. At Baker Mortgage, we do it right.
- 25:48Speaker 22: We haven't been around for 68 years because we're lucky.
- 25:52Speaker 22: We don't sell CDs, insurance, or anything else. We just
- 25:55Speaker 22: provide a great mortgage experience. Isn't that what you're looking for?
- 25:59Speaker 22: Call us at Baker Mortgage. I promise you'll be glad
- 26:02Speaker 22: you did. We're at 281-313-MOVE or go directly to bakermortgage.com.

- 26:12Speaker 1: What's really going on? From conservative political insiders, the voice
- 26:17Speaker 1: of Texas.
- 26:18Speaker 6: And now for the bonus round. Who imposes property taxes?
- 26:23Speaker 1: State government.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Nice try, but no.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Local governments.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Correct. And we have a winner.
- 26:31Speaker 14: Here's Governor Greg Abbott on his plan to control property taxes.
- 26:35Speaker 23: The state of Texas does not impose a property tax.
- 26:38Speaker 23: Only local governments impose property taxes. One of the reasons
- 26:42Speaker 23: why your property taxes are going up is because local
- 26:45Speaker 23: governments are increasing their spending. So the first thing we
- 26:49Speaker 23: got to do is to stop the spending that leads.
- 26:52Speaker 6: To property tax increases.
- 26:54Speaker 23: You should have a say on whether or not your
- 26:56Speaker 23: property taxes go up. It should be a vote that
- 26:59Speaker 23: requires two-thirds vote before any property tax increase can ever
- 27:03Speaker 23: be imposed on our fellow Texans. You're going to be
- 27:06Speaker 23: able to live in your home for the rest of
- 27:08Speaker 23: your lives without being priced out of it.
- 27:10Speaker 6: Protecting homeowners, lowering property taxes.
- 27:13Speaker 1: That's Governor Greg Abbott.
- 27:15Speaker 23: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.
- 27:24Speaker 24: From the KSEV Weather Center, today expect a mix of
- 27:26Speaker 24: sunshine and clouds along with humidity leading to a chance
- 27:29Speaker 24: of a thunderstorm. The high will reach 92 degrees tonight.
- 27:32Speaker 24: There may be a thunderstorm in some areas early on. Otherwise,
- 27:35Speaker 24: it will be partly cloudy and humid with a low
- 27:37Speaker 24: of 75. Tomorrow, anticipate partly sunny skies and continued humidity.
- 27:41Speaker 24: There is a possibility of an afternoon and evening thunderstorm
- 27:43Speaker 24: in spots with highs reaching 95 degrees. As for Saturday,
- 27:46Speaker 24: it will be humid with intervals of sunshine occasionally interrupted
- 27:49Speaker 24: by clouds. There's a chance of an afternoon and evening
- 27:51Speaker 24: thunderstorm in spots with a high of 93 degrees. With
- 27:54Speaker 24: the KSCV Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 28:08Speaker 6: AM 700, the.
- 28:11Speaker 7: Voice of Texas. This is KSCV Mornings. I am Craig Collins,
- 28:15Speaker 7: Wayne Dolcefino. is on special assignment. There is one more
- 28:20Speaker 7: video that I haven't really mentioned yet, or one more
- 28:22Speaker 7: piece of audio out there, that Democrats are so mad about.
- 28:26Speaker 7: The New York Times even wrote an op-ed today saying how.
- 28:30Speaker 6: Terrible this is, how horrible it is. It's John Fetterman.
- 28:33Speaker 7: Fetterman made a surprise appearance at the GOP midterm convention,
- 28:39Speaker 7: and he taped a video, and the video is exactly
- 28:42Speaker 7: what you probably expect it to be from Fetterman. who
- 28:45Speaker 7: doesn't like the radicals within his own political party and
- 28:49Speaker 7: wants that all to stop, wants that all to go away,
- 28:51Speaker 7: as so many of the rest of us do. Fetterman
- 28:54Speaker 7: has said that he's likely to run as an independent
- 28:56Speaker 7: or even a Republican. in 2029 when he would be
- 28:59Speaker 7: up for re-election. But let's go ahead and play this.
- 29:03Speaker 25: I'm always going to reject the extremes and socialism and
- 29:06Speaker 25: that anti-American way of life. Dave McCormick is the kind
- 29:11Speaker 25: of senator that gets the job done, and he's going
- 29:15Speaker 25: to fight for Pennsylvania. I'm proud to count him as
- 29:19Speaker 25: my friend. Right back over my shoulder, that's the iconic U.S.
- 29:24Speaker 11: Steel Mill.
- 29:25Speaker 25: And that's exactly the kind of thing that we'll work
- 29:28Speaker 25: together and we'll work with President Trump to fight and
- 29:31Speaker 25: defend the steel way of life right here in the
- 29:34Speaker 25: Steel Valley. I have this opportunity to introduce this great American,
- 29:39Speaker 25: a great scientist. senator, and yes, he's in a different party,
- 29:43Speaker 25: but I'm proud to count him as my great friend.
- 29:45Speaker 25: So for everybody in Dallas, I'm here to introduce Dave McCormick.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Amazing!
- 29:52Speaker 7: Amazing to watch this happen that Fetterman is introducing people
- 29:58Speaker 7: at the Republican National Convention that's happening in Dallas, and
- 30:01Speaker 7: that he's also praising President Trump. Again, this made a
- 30:05Speaker 7: lot of people on the left very mad. And do
- 30:08Speaker 7: you know why that is, my belief, that Fetterman makes
- 30:12Speaker 7: them so, so angry? It's because he treats the other
- 30:15Speaker 7: side as people, and that he actually agrees with us
- 30:18Speaker 7: on a lot of stuff and disagrees with the radical
- 30:20Speaker 7: left on a lot of things. But the way that
- 30:22Speaker 7: they often would try to validate their opinion— The way
- 30:25Speaker 7: that the left would try to tell you that anything
- 30:27Speaker 7: that they believe is important or, you know, OK or
- 30:32Speaker 7: fair when it comes to negativity that they push toward
- 30:36Speaker 7: the right or even with Charlie Kirk, which I do
- 30:39Speaker 7: intend to talk about Charlie at the end of the show.
- 30:41Speaker 7: I wanted to set a entire segment at the end
- 30:44Speaker 7: of my show. So in about 10 minutes or so,
- 30:46Speaker 7: we'll take another break. We'll come back from that break
- 30:48Speaker 7: and it'll it'll be about Charlie Kirk until the end.
- 30:51Speaker 7: It's a year ago today that Charlie Kirk was was
- 30:53Speaker 7: viciously killed. and his wife is still getting attacked on
- 30:59Speaker 7: social media in ways that make no sense to me
- 31:01Speaker 7: because she's a widow.
- 31:03Speaker 6: Can't we leave her alone? Like, seriously, can't you leave
- 31:06Speaker 6: her alone?
- 31:07Speaker 7: But anyway, the way that the left will validate their anger,
- 31:11Speaker 7: their hatred, their evil that they treat the right with
- 31:16Speaker 7: is by saying that somehow we're the bad guys and
- 31:18Speaker 7: they're the good guys.
- 31:19Speaker 6: And the thing that Fetterman.
- 31:21Speaker 7: Most upends— outside of, again, rejecting the ridiculous opinions of
- 31:25Speaker 7: the radical left, is he acts as though the people
- 31:28Speaker 7: on the other side are not, in fact, out to,
- 31:31Speaker 7: you know, destroy America, which is something the left says
- 31:34Speaker 7: about the right all the time, which is crazy. The
- 31:36Speaker 7: right does say it about the left because, darn it,
- 31:38Speaker 7: the left is now running on a message of upending
- 31:41Speaker 7: capitalism and so many things that are absolutely the core
- 31:46Speaker 7: aspects of what it means to be a part of
- 31:48Speaker 7: this country or the way this country was built, foundational
- 31:51Speaker 7: aspects of of the United States of America are being
- 31:54Speaker 7: attacked by Democrats. That truly is trying to change who
- 31:58Speaker 7: we are and what we do. But nonetheless, as I
- 32:01Speaker 7: say that, again, the thing that makes me most fascinated
- 32:04Speaker 7: about the way that Fetterman's received by the left is
- 32:07Speaker 7: they hate so much the idea of treating someone like
- 32:11Speaker 7: a person who has opposing viewpoints and not the devil incarnate.
- 32:16Speaker 7: And one example I'll give you for that before I
- 32:18Speaker 7: move on is when Jimmy Fallon tussled Donald Trump's hair.
- 32:23Speaker 7: If you don't remember that, that happened. That's when Trump
- 32:26Speaker 7: was running the first time and a joke about whether
- 32:28Speaker 7: or not his hair was real and Trump let Jimmy
- 32:31Speaker 7: Fallon touch it.
- 32:33Speaker 6: And the left was up in arms.
- 32:35Speaker 7: They were so mad that someone had a human moment
- 32:39Speaker 7: with someone that they hated because that's really what they preach.
- 32:42Speaker 7: If you think that the right actually desires for people
- 32:46Speaker 7: to hate each other, you are profoundly wrong about the
- 32:50Speaker 7: messaging on the right, especially from Charlie Kirk. If you
- 32:53Speaker 7: thought that Charlie Kirk's message was he wanted people that
- 32:56Speaker 7: supported him to hate the other side, it couldn't have
- 32:59Speaker 7: been further from the truth. He does want you to
- 33:02Speaker 7: acknowledge when you profoundly disagree. with the other side, when
- 33:06Speaker 7: you think that they're uninformed or, I don't know, willfully
- 33:11Speaker 7: uninformed or something worse than that, whatever the case might be,
- 33:14Speaker 7: you certainly don't pretend as though you agree when you don't.
- 33:18Speaker 6: But you don't hate people for their thoughts and their ideas.
- 33:21Speaker 7: You actually want to attack them and want to argue
- 33:24Speaker 7: with them for the benefit of that person. Having a
- 33:27Speaker 7: conversation like that's the other thing.
- 33:28Speaker 6: All right, screw it. I'll do it now.
- 33:30Speaker 7: I have the Brandon Gill audio, but I'll say one
- 33:32Speaker 7: thing now because it's kind of organically come up. One
- 33:35Speaker 7: of the most fascinating things that would happen when Charlie
- 33:38Speaker 7: Kirk would go and speak places is somebody or multiple
- 33:42Speaker 7: people from the audience, but at least one of them
- 33:43Speaker 7: would go viral, would simply ask him why he was there.
- 33:47Speaker 7: Someone on the left who wanted to take the position
- 33:49Speaker 7: that Charlie Kirk, this media trained, very intelligent college dropout,
- 33:54Speaker 7: which he was proud to mention that he didn't have
- 33:56Speaker 7: a value in college education. because that's not where he
- 33:59Speaker 7: learned any of the stuff that he knew. But anyway,
- 34:02Speaker 7: they'd simply ask him, like, why are you talking to us?
- 34:04Speaker 7: Why would you come here? Why are you trying to
- 34:06Speaker 7: embarrass us by your logic and opinion and your level
- 34:11Speaker 7: of being informed being higher than ours? Why are you
- 34:13Speaker 7: doing this? And I love Charlie's answer he gave every
- 34:16Speaker 7: time to that question. He's having a conversation with voters
- 34:20Speaker 7: to influence their decision making in the next election. That's
- 34:24Speaker 7: all he would say is he goes, I'm just having
- 34:25Speaker 7: a conversation with voters to All of us need to
- 34:28Speaker 7: do that.
- 34:29Speaker 6: We need to be willing to do that.
- 34:31Speaker 7: And the left is terrified of having a logic based
- 34:35Speaker 7: conversation with the right.
- 34:37Speaker 6: So they call the right evil.
- 34:39Speaker 7: They call the right sexist and racist and and whatever
- 34:42Speaker 7: else they need to call them. And Trump, the the
- 34:45Speaker 7: the epitome of those things, because they have to do that,
- 34:48Speaker 7: because the last thing they ever want is the logic
- 34:51Speaker 7: based conversation.
- 34:53Speaker 6: Why shouldn't men play? women's sports is the type of
- 34:56Speaker 6: thing that.
- 34:57Speaker 7: You and i can probably do an easy two minutes
- 35:00Speaker 7: on that the left would hate hearing so instead of
- 35:03Speaker 7: listening to it they say you're sexist they say you're
- 35:05Speaker 7: this they say you're that whatever the gate homophobic something
- 35:09Speaker 7: in order to get you to have your message uh
- 35:11Speaker 7: be rejected i do want to play this brandon gill
- 35:14Speaker 7: audio and as i said we'll talk more about um
- 35:17Speaker 7: uh did i hear something no it wasn't okay i
- 35:20Speaker 7: thought i heard something my ear okay we're good um
- 35:23Speaker 7: I want to play this Brandon Gill audio and then
- 35:24Speaker 7: we'll take a break and we will do a closing
- 35:27Speaker 7: about Charlie Kirk, someone who is incredibly influential to a
- 35:32Speaker 7: lot of people.
- 35:32Speaker 6: And I will admit, not someone I followed closely.
- 35:35Speaker 7: I knew who he was, of course, and especially since
- 35:39Speaker 7: I think part of his support system came out of Texas.
- 35:42Speaker 7: I think a lot of people here in this state
- 35:44Speaker 7: were very familiar with him. But I didn't I didn't
- 35:47Speaker 7: watch a lot of his. And it's not that I
- 35:48Speaker 7: thought I wouldn't like it. I just I was doing
- 35:51Speaker 7: other stuff. I knew he was out there. I thought
- 35:52Speaker 7: he was doing a great job. It wasn't someone I
- 35:55Speaker 7: shied away from or tried to consume content from. But
- 35:59Speaker 7: after he was killed, I couldn't stop watching Charlie Kirk videos,
- 36:05Speaker 7: which says something about the impact people have occasionally.
- 36:09Speaker 6: When they're taken from us too soon.
- 36:11Speaker 7: Compared to the impact they're having when they're here. And
- 36:14Speaker 7: we need to adjust that. He should have been having
- 36:16Speaker 7: as big of an impact on more people like me.
- 36:19Speaker 7: And he was having an impact on a whole lot
- 36:20Speaker 7: of people, but he should have been having it while
- 36:22Speaker 7: he was here and alive. But after he passes away
- 36:25Speaker 7: and you want to reflect on the value of who
- 36:27Speaker 7: he was, it's pretty easy to see how significant his
- 36:31Speaker 7: messaging and how important his messaging was. So again, that's
- 36:33Speaker 7: why we'll play some of that in just a little bit.
- 36:35Speaker 6: But I want to play this.
- 36:36Speaker 7: This is Brandon Gill, a rising star in the Republican
- 36:40Speaker 7: Party in Texas politics, a 30 something year old who
- 36:45Speaker 7: is absolutely doing things that are, you know, making people
- 36:49Speaker 7: hear things that maybe they're not used to hearing. And
- 36:53Speaker 7: I think just doing it in such a a captivating
- 36:56Speaker 7: and valuable way.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Thirty two years old.
- 36:59Speaker 7: Brandon Gill, one of the youngest politicians in Texas right now,
- 37:03Speaker 7: certainly on the conservative side of the aisle.
- 37:05Speaker 6: Let's go and hit play on this. And now as
- 37:06Speaker 6: we near the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 37:10Speaker 17: Democrats are nominating Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, an extremist who sympathized
- 37:17Speaker 17: with terrorists and who campaigned with a man who says
- 37:22Speaker 17: America deserved 9-11. That's extreme and deplorable.
- 37:31Speaker 6: Yes, it is.
- 37:32Speaker 17: Now, we have to admit that every party has their crazies.
- 37:37Speaker 17: The difference is that the Democrat Party is nominating theirs
- 37:40Speaker 17: for Congress.
- 37:43Speaker 7: That is so well done and so very true that
- 37:46Speaker 7: every party, you know, people that say some things that
- 37:49Speaker 7: are a tad more extreme than the things that.
- 37:51Speaker 6: You say and believe.
- 37:52Speaker 7: But those people, by and large, don't actually get put
- 37:55Speaker 7: into positions where they're running for office for their political party.
- 37:58Speaker 7: The left is is throwing the most insane people they
- 38:01Speaker 7: can at the board. I think Rhode Island even is
- 38:04Speaker 7: in the news today because a lot of Democratic incumbents
- 38:07Speaker 7: are were just outed in primary races by crazier, radical,
- 38:11Speaker 7: insane people. So one more time, I guess just to
- 38:15Speaker 7: put a cap on this discussion, I do think after
- 38:19Speaker 7: seeing one day of the Republican National Convention in Dallas
- 38:23Speaker 7: that it's tremendously valuable. And I think even more so
- 38:26Speaker 7: than that, there's a likelihood that it does garner enthusiasm
- 38:29Speaker 7: and support within the Republican Party, which the Republican Party
- 38:33Speaker 7: needs right now.
- 38:34Speaker 6: That's certainly not a secret.
- 38:36Speaker 7: There are a lot of people who I think are
- 38:38Speaker 7: complacent in the sense that they're in power, at least
- 38:42Speaker 7: in the White House. And so they're not paying attention
- 38:44Speaker 7: as closely as they should to the fighting and the
- 38:47Speaker 7: rhetoric on both sides. And maybe they won't even vote
- 38:50Speaker 7: in a coming midterm election because they're they're satisfied enough.
- 38:53Speaker 7: And that's a tremendous mistake because of what actually happens
- 38:57Speaker 7: when the other side takes control of the House, of
- 38:59Speaker 7: the Senate, of anything. And then the roadblocks start. And
- 39:02Speaker 7: I'll just say this one more time because I meant it.
- 39:05Speaker 7: It definitively is.
- 39:06Speaker 6: A thing, I think. I love Trump offering us all
- 39:09Speaker 6: five grand. I personally love it.
- 39:12Speaker 7: I'm sure there's a lot of people that will attack it,
- 39:14Speaker 7: even on the conservative side of the aisle.
- 39:16Speaker 6: I think J.D.
- 39:16Speaker 7: Vance might have already sort of tried to walk it
- 39:18Speaker 7: back earlier this morning.
- 39:21Speaker 6: I don't care. I love it. I love the idea
- 39:23Speaker 6: of it. I think it's both hilarious.
- 39:25Speaker 7: And the kind of thing that I would accept if
- 39:28Speaker 7: they send me the five grand if we win the
- 39:30Speaker 7: house and we win the senate and all of a
- 39:32Speaker 7: sudden i get my five thousand dollars i will gladly
- 39:34Speaker 7: cash that check baby all right we got to take
- 39:36Speaker 7: a break when we come back from the break because
- 39:38Speaker 7: a year ago today charlie kirk was assassinated we will
- 39:43Speaker 7: revisit some of what i think are the most amazing
- 39:46Speaker 7: things Charlie Kirk said, some of the best conversations he
- 39:49Speaker 7: had with people and what his desire for both sides
- 39:54Speaker 7: was and how not hateful he actually was as a person.
- 39:59Speaker 7: All that coming up in a bit. Craig Collins, KSEV Mornings,

- 42:38Speaker 8: it's so hard not to just spend all your time

- 42:42Speaker 1: And I know.
- 42:42Speaker 8: Sometimes you have questions. That's why we do the Backyard
- 42:46Speaker 8: Bay radio program. to get you good, solid answers to

- 42:59Speaker 8: Join me this weekend for the Backyard Bay radio program,
- 43:03Speaker 8: now at our new time, every Saturday morning at 9 a.m.,
- 43:07Speaker 8: right here on The Voice.
- 43:22Speaker 7: KSCV Mornings, the voice of Texas, AM 700.
- 43:28Speaker 6: My name is Craig Collins. Wayne Dolcefino is on special assignment.
- 43:31Speaker 7: Charlie Kirk is someone that I said before, I only
- 43:36Speaker 7: really got to appreciate and know better. Know not from
- 43:40Speaker 7: a sense of, I didn't know him personally, but know
- 43:43Speaker 7: what his statements were, how he conducted himself, the value
- 43:48Speaker 7: of going and consuming the content he created and that
- 43:51Speaker 7: was out there on the Internet for all to see
- 43:53Speaker 7: after he was tragically and horrifically murdered. I assume I'm
- 43:57Speaker 7: one of a lot of people who dove deeper into
- 44:00Speaker 7: what Charlie Kirk stood for because of the left, more
- 44:04Speaker 7: so than anything else, because the left in some ways
- 44:07Speaker 7: seemed to celebrate the death of a man with kids,
- 44:10Speaker 7: with a wife that desired to have a conversation with
- 44:14Speaker 7: the other side. Charlie very often said, in almost every
- 44:19Speaker 7: appearance he made on college campuses, that they were going
- 44:22Speaker 7: to get their chance to speak, he was going to
- 44:24Speaker 7: get his chance to speak, and that you needed to
- 44:26Speaker 7: keep talking, because when talking stops, violence starts.
- 44:31Speaker 6: That's what he said.
- 44:32Speaker 7: Now, granted, he got shot and killed for speaking, which is,
- 44:36Speaker 7: to us, should be the most horrific of things that
- 44:40Speaker 7: you can be killed for, your simple ideas and thoughts
- 44:42Speaker 7: and beliefs. This should be resoundingly rejected in both sides.
- 44:46Speaker 7: And yet the left seemed to celebrate in the aftermath
- 44:49Speaker 7: of Charlie Kirk being shot and killed. And so it
- 44:52Speaker 7: made me need and probably, as I said, a lot
- 44:56Speaker 7: of us need to know more about the person and
- 44:59Speaker 7: what he believed. I think that Benny Johnson put an
- 45:02Speaker 7: amazing tribute to Charlie Kirk up on social media. It's
- 45:05Speaker 7: like almost three minutes long. It's mostly Charlie talking about
- 45:08Speaker 7: his faith. But I do want to play it. And
- 45:10Speaker 7: for anybody that's watching on social media, you will also
- 45:12Speaker 7: see the videos that go with it, which are captivating.
- 45:16Speaker 7: That's on X and YouTube and Rumble and also our website.
- 45:22Speaker 7: You can actually see our live streaming products from ksevradio.com now.
- 45:26Speaker 6: You couldn't before.
- 45:28Speaker 7: I just quickly, Senator Betancourt and the amigos would say,
- 45:30Speaker 7: go to ksevradio.com to see our live stream.
- 45:33Speaker 6: You couldn't see anything. You could hear the audio. You
- 45:36Speaker 6: couldn't watch. Now you can. Now you can do that.
- 45:39Speaker 7: But if anyone's out there that's not paying attention to
- 45:41Speaker 7: that and can, I would suggest you actually click that
- 45:44Speaker 7: on so you can see this, too. But here's Benny
- 45:46Speaker 7: Johnson's tribute to Charlie Kirk in the words of Charlie Kirk.
- 45:50Speaker 1: How do you want to be remembered? If I die?
- 45:52Speaker 6: Everything just goes away. How would you if you could
- 45:54Speaker 6: be associated with one thing? How would you want to
- 45:56Speaker 6: be remembered?
- 45:58Speaker 18: I want to be I want to be remembered for
- 46:00Speaker 18: for courage, for my faith. That would be the most
- 46:03Speaker 18: important thing. Most important thing is my faith in my life.
- 46:05Speaker 18: I don't know if you know this, but everyone dies.
- 46:07Speaker 18: It's important to remind yourself of that. That you faced God,
- 46:11Speaker 18: the judge. And he's going to list everything you did
- 46:15Speaker 18: wrong in your life. It's going to be a long
- 46:16Speaker 18: sentencing hearing for me. Will you get justice, which is hell,
- 46:20Speaker 18: because that's what we deserve. Mercy, which is less of that,
- 46:23Speaker 18: which I'll allow the theologians to figure out what that is.
- 46:25Speaker 6: Or grace. What is grace?
- 46:27Speaker 18: Grace is something so unique, so different, so profound. Which
- 46:31Speaker 18: is as soon as the sentencing is about to be
- 46:32Speaker 18: ushered in, someone comes in and says, no, I will
- 46:35Speaker 18: serve that prison sentence for him. I will go into
- 46:39Speaker 18: the prison cell for him or her. So they can
- 46:42Speaker 18: live forever. That's grace. You didn't earn it You didn't
- 46:46Speaker 18: check boxes for it You didn't go park cars for
- 46:49Speaker 18: a ministry and that gets you extra points to go
- 46:51Speaker 18: to heaven. None of that's true It's that it's equally
- 46:54Speaker 18: accepted for all people that allow jesus christ To be
- 46:58Speaker 18: your savior the savior of the world to be born
- 47:00Speaker 18: new and to be completely and totally renewed That's a
- 47:03Speaker 18: gift that we must try to give all.
- 47:05Speaker 1: People in the world.
- 47:06Speaker 18: I mean i've had an unbelievably blessed life, uh been
- 47:09Speaker 18: doing this now will be 12 years on June 5th.
- 47:11Speaker 14: Such a young man to do it.
- 47:13Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 47:13Speaker 18: So praise God. I mean, I've been all across the world.
- 47:16Speaker 18: I've met with world leaders. I've flown in Air Force One,
- 47:18Speaker 18: got to know a president. I have an amazing family,
- 47:21Speaker 18: the podcast, Turning Point USA, all that stuff. And so
- 47:24Speaker 18: you experience that and you're like, what actually matters? What
- 47:27Speaker 18: matters is your relationship with the divine, your relationship with
- 47:30Speaker 18: your family, your kids, and maybe a close collection of
- 47:32Speaker 18: friends and your relationship with the truth. And you could
- 47:36Speaker 18: decide to lie all the time. Then you become a
- 47:38Speaker 18: tortured individual and you know, those people, you just turn
- 47:41Speaker 18: on television. They're constantly lying and they just become like
- 47:44Speaker 18: disfigured either emotionally, spiritually, or physically. Cause when you lie,
- 47:48Speaker 18: I believe you're actually committing suicide of the soul. I
- 47:51Speaker 18: really believe that.
- 47:51Speaker 6: Are you a Christian?
- 47:53Speaker 18: Very, very much so.
- 47:54Speaker 6: Like, why is that exactly? Oh, Jesus saved my life.
- 47:57Speaker 6: I'm a sinner.
- 47:57Speaker 18: Gave my life to Christ. Most important decision I ever made.
- 48:00Speaker 6: So you believe the Bible is real?
- 48:01Speaker 10: Yes.
- 48:01Speaker 6: I believe the Bible is true and real. Why is that?
- 48:04Speaker 18: Well, I could give you the technical answer. There's never
- 48:06Speaker 18: been an archaeological discovery that has contradicted the truth of
- 48:08Speaker 18: the Bible. And then, of course, the wisdom. There is
- 48:10Speaker 18: not a truth of the Bible that if you apply
- 48:11Speaker 18: to your life, your life does not improve dramatically. And
- 48:14Speaker 18: then finally, we have the most accurate and transparent, historically
- 48:18Speaker 18: robust account that one can have of the most important
- 48:22Speaker 18: figure ever to live in the history of the world,
- 48:23Speaker 18: Jesus of Nazareth. And the resurrection is the pinpoint of
- 48:27Speaker 18: my belief that Jesus did rise from the grave so
- 48:30Speaker 18: that we may live. And for those of you that
- 48:32Speaker 18: have not given your.
- 48:32Speaker 8: Life to Christ.
- 48:34Speaker 18: I could tell you it is the most freeing, liberating
- 48:37Speaker 18: thing that a human being can possibly do. The most
- 48:40Speaker 18: important thing that you can do, which is to be
- 48:42Speaker 18: born new into the kingdom of God.
- 48:48Speaker 7: Yeah, that is excellent. And that's who Charlie Kirk was
- 48:52Speaker 7: as a person, by the way. For anyone that thinks
- 48:54Speaker 7: he's this hateful, horrible, terrible person, I got a little
- 48:57Speaker 7: choked up as I watched that. And again, the reason
- 49:01Speaker 7: why is, is it's maddening to me that people so
- 49:05Speaker 7: intentionally misunderstand an individual they disagree with and turn them
- 49:10Speaker 7: into someone that they have to hate. Instead of saying
- 49:15Speaker 7: that Charlie Kirk believed certain things that they don't believe,
- 49:19Speaker 7: they say that Charlie Kirk hated this person or hated
- 49:21Speaker 7: that person or hated whoever it might be that he
- 49:25Speaker 7: disagreed with.
- 49:26Speaker 6: And it's just so profoundly wrong.
- 49:29Speaker 7: It's so easily verifiably wrong as to who Charlie actually
- 49:32Speaker 7: was as a.
- 49:34Speaker 6: Person and how very often, and I have a.
- 49:38Speaker 7: Since I started with that, I kind of just want
- 49:40Speaker 7: to leave it there as far as the thing that
- 49:42Speaker 7: Benny Johnson created of his actual friend, Charlie Kirk. But
- 49:48Speaker 7: if you just consume a little bit of the stuff
- 49:50Speaker 7: that he put out there and the things that he
- 49:52Speaker 7: said to the people he most disagreed with, there was
- 49:55Speaker 7: a willingness to hear the other side, not because you
- 49:58Speaker 7: were likely to be convinced of their opinion. And oftentimes,
- 50:01Speaker 7: Charlie would make the most logical and intellectual argument back
- 50:05Speaker 7: that someone was wrong. He wouldn't just get mad and
- 50:08Speaker 7: yell at them and tell them they're a terrible person.
- 50:10Speaker 7: He would say how this was flawed within the world
- 50:13Speaker 7: of basic fact. And actually, I'll say one other thing,
- 50:16Speaker 7: and I don't mean to conflate the two people, because
- 50:19Speaker 7: they're very different people, especially now. I remember watching a,
- 50:24Speaker 7: I think it was actually a speech that Tucker Carlson gave,
- 50:27Speaker 7: and he joked about how little facts matter.
- 50:30Speaker 6: What he said was that for.
- 50:31Speaker 7: A long time in his own political pundit career, He
- 50:35Speaker 7: would try to muster more facts than anyone else, and
- 50:37Speaker 7: he would still lose those conversations in the eyes of
- 50:40Speaker 7: the person he was arguing with.
- 50:42Speaker 6: Maybe he thought he won, but the people on the
- 50:44Speaker 6: left thought he lost. And so he gave up. Tucker
- 50:48Speaker 6: Carlson said eventually he gave up on relying on.
- 50:51Speaker 7: Facts as the basis of a discussion. Charlie Kirk did
- 50:55Speaker 7: not give up on facts. Charlie Kirk did not give
- 50:57Speaker 7: up on proving his opinion and having a vast understanding
- 51:01Speaker 7: and being well-read enough to believe the things he believed
- 51:05Speaker 7: for reasons other than just because. And a lot of
- 51:08Speaker 7: the people who debated him, who eventually complained he was
- 51:11Speaker 7: too well-trained to go up against them, they would willingly
- 51:14Speaker 7: show up at these events and try to prove him wrong. Famously,
- 51:18Speaker 7: that's what it said above his canopy, any time that
- 51:21Speaker 7: he sat and talked to anyone that disagreed with him,
- 51:24Speaker 7: one after another. But they would get so mad because
- 51:28Speaker 7: they realized they weren't going to beat him with facts.
- 51:31Speaker 7: And I think there's something so important about that legacy
- 51:34Speaker 7: and that idea living on. I don't want to do
- 51:37Speaker 7: a radio show every day on this station where I
- 51:40Speaker 7: lie to you.
- 51:41Speaker 6: I don't want to do that. I'm definitely going to
- 51:42Speaker 6: give you my opinion.
- 51:43Speaker 7: And at times people are going to call in and
- 51:44Speaker 7: say my opinion is a lie, which is ridiculous.
- 51:48Speaker 6: My opinion can't be a lie. It's what I think.
- 51:50Speaker 7: It's not necessarily what I can every time through every
- 51:55Speaker 7: available piece of information say. definitively prove, but you can't
- 51:59Speaker 7: disprove it usually. I do care about facts and reality
- 52:03Speaker 7: as much as Charlie Kirk did, but I don't want
- 52:05Speaker 7: to lie to you.
- 52:06Speaker 6: I want to tell you the truth.
- 52:07Speaker 7: I want to be honest about both sides and have
- 52:10Speaker 7: a conversation, whoever you are out there, as long as
- 52:13Speaker 7: you're willing to do it in good faith, with me.
- 52:15Speaker 6: If you lie a whole bunch, I can't let you.
- 52:17Speaker 7: Be on the show because you don't seem to want
- 52:19Speaker 7: to do the thing that Charlie Kirk wanted us all
- 52:22Speaker 7: to do, which is engage in discussion back and forth
- 52:26Speaker 7: in a way that respects each other. And so his legacy,
- 52:29Speaker 7: a year after his death, I think can live on
- 52:32Speaker 7: through the way that we debate politically with each other
- 52:36Speaker 7: and the way that we think each other at the
- 52:38Speaker 7: end of the day are also just good, hopeful, faith-based
- 52:42Speaker 7: people that want the best for the world. I know
- 52:45Speaker 7: that that doesn't seem true sometimes, but I want to
- 52:47Speaker 7: go about believing that at least when I interact with
- 52:50Speaker 7: anyone out there.
- 52:51Speaker 6: But that's it. That's the show.
- 52:52Speaker 7: Thank you, everybody, for being a part of it this morning.
