Janosch Wintermantel: Building the World’s Most Unique Gravel Races
In this episode of Zone2Speak, I’m joined by Janosch Wintermantel, the creator behind events like Utopia Gravel, Octopus Gravel, Sahara Gravel, and Pedaleo Bikepacking Festival.
We talk about how Janosch turned a passion for exploring remote roads into a full-time career, and what it really takes to build gravel and bikepacking experiences across deserts, mountains, and multiple countries.
From the Swiss Alps to the Sahara Desert, Janosch shares the philosophy behind his events and why he believes riders are searching for something deeper than just results.
This episode is about adventure…
