- 20261012 160817 1: Hello Friends, I've noticed a funny thing about my grocery shopping. Whether I go to Costco before lunch or after lunch, it's the same Costco, same grocery list, but two different bills. Whenever I go before lunch, I'm hungry, I tend to pick up every snack I was not planning for, and even Costco doesn't make it easier to resist. And there goes a huge bill. But whenever I go after a good meal, I stick to the list. I pick up what I want and head to the checkout A smaller bill. I keep wondering how two seemingly unrelated activities like eating lunch and grocery shopping impact each other so much. And then I think about all the decisions we make at work. Maybe you had a busy day, rough day, back to back meetings, tired, exhausted, and someone comes to you with one more request. On an ideal day, You might ask questions, checked against priorities and said no. But today, it might seem easier to say yes. And there goes another item into your team's cart. One after the other, soon you realize your team's cart is full. The plan did not change. The priorities did not change. The only thing that changed was the state of mind in which you made the decision. And you'll be amazed how it impacts the outcomes. So here's the micro booth for you to think about the next big dish and you're about to make and ask yourself, are you shopping hungry? You may be physically hungry, tired, exhausted, confused. Just give yourself some time and space before you make the decision Because by the time you're ready to make the decision and you might soon realize many things do not have to make it to the cart Remember small actions, big impact. Until we meet again next time, let's keep making impact together. Thank you guys.
