Speaker 1: It was a stealthy move, right. He knew that he

Speaker 1: was being drawn to the Lord, and he knew that

Speaker 1: God was working with them because of the miracle, because

Speaker 1: of his lifestyle, because of his works. How many of

Speaker 1: us can have that same testimony that people around us

Speaker 1: know that God is working with us because of our lifestyles,

Speaker 1: because of our works, because of miracles being wrought in

Speaker 1: our life. This is what's supposed to happen. Jesus is

Speaker 1: supposed to be manifested in our lives. Amen, and draw

Speaker 1: people to us. And so he knew exactly what he

Speaker 1: was searching for, and he went right to it. He

Speaker 1: says that you must be born again in order to

Speaker 1: enter into the Kingdom, and so he dealt with that,

Speaker 1: talked about how we can truly be saved and become

Speaker 1: children of God. And he broke it down, of course,

Speaker 1: letting us know that it's all about that spiritual birth.

Speaker 1: And so Nicodemus is really getting in education and revelation

Speaker 1: straight from the Lord. And you know what, if we

Speaker 1: have questions, we can do the same thing. We need

Speaker 1: to do the same thing Nikademus dead. We need to

Speaker 1: seek out the Lord for ourselves, and God is able

Speaker 1: into the picture in this chapter. We're gonna go through

Speaker 1: all of that. This is the beginning of the public

Speaker 1: ministry of Jesus Christ, and all a sudden, we're gonna

Speaker 1: see opposition from the Sadducees and the Pharisees, the religious

Speaker 1: leaders of the day. So let's dive in with the

Speaker 1: word of prayer. Emily, Father, we are asking right now

Speaker 1: for the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask you,

Speaker 1: Oh God, to lead us, to guide us, to encourage us,

Speaker 1: and to fight our battles. Oh God, we need you,

Speaker 1: Oh Lord. We ask go Lord, that you will take

Speaker 1: over these airwaves. And everyone that is supposed to hear

Speaker 1: this message, let them hear it. Father. We thank you Lord,

Speaker 1: and we praise you Lord and the mighty name of Jesus.

Speaker 1: And God's people said, that's right, hey man, all right,

Speaker 1: let's dive back into it. John chapter three. We're looking

Speaker 1: at verses twenty two through twenty four, and okay, now,

Speaker 1: after these things, and we're talking about Nicodemus, Nicodemus had

Speaker 1: a private visit, a private audience with Jesus himself. Jesus

Speaker 1: spoke about being born again and how men will not

Speaker 1: come to the light because they love darkness. And that

Speaker 1: is a sad indictment that we will not come to

Speaker 1: Jesus because we love our darkness. We'd rather be in darkness,

Speaker 1: and there's consequences that come with that. So we definitely

Speaker 1: need to check our hearts on that and pray for

Speaker 1: the people around us. And now we're jumping into twenty two.

Speaker 1: So after these things, Jesus and his disciples came into

Speaker 1: the land of Judah. There he remained with them and baptized.

Speaker 1: Now John also was baptizing in aenon near Salem. Because

Speaker 1: there was much water there, they came and were baptized,

Speaker 1: for had not yet been thrown into prison. All right, Now,

Speaker 1: after these scenes, Jesus and his disciples came to the

Speaker 1: land of Judah, and there he remained with them in

Speaker 1: baptizing a man. Now, let's take a look at this.

Speaker 1: Jesus himself wasn't physically doing the baptizing. John clarifies this

Speaker 1: later in chapter four, verse two, but his disciples were.

Speaker 1: Baptism was an outward sign of repentance and faith. The

Speaker 1: setting and on shows the necessity of much water and

Speaker 1: actually a detail supporting immersion as a mode of bat baptism.

Speaker 1: So they dunked the whole body, right, And so Johnny baptist,

Speaker 1: was looking for a spot where there was a lot

Speaker 1: of water, so he gelt dunked the whole person. Now,

Speaker 1: I love how John gives us this practical detail much water.

Speaker 1: Sometimes we overspiritualize things, right, but John reminds us that

Speaker 1: following Jesus has practical steps. Actually baptism is public, visible,

Speaker 1: and full of meaning. It tells a world that I

Speaker 1: belong to Jesus Christ. Amen, hallelujah now verse twenty five

Speaker 1: and twenty six. Then there arose a dispute between some

Speaker 1: of John's disciples and the Jews about purification. They came

Speaker 1: to John and said to him, Rabbi, he who was

Speaker 1: with you beyond the Jordan, to him to whom you

Speaker 1: have testified. Behold, he is baptizing, and all are coming

Speaker 1: to him. All right, this is gonna be pretty interesting

Speaker 1: right here. And you see, this was the beginning of

Speaker 1: John's ministry fading in Jesus' ministry rising up. John's ministry

Speaker 1: was fulfilling, or should I say, it has fulfilled his purpose,

Speaker 1: and now it's time for something new to rise. Some

Speaker 1: of John's followers el jealous or maybe even threatened. Now

Speaker 1: everyone's going to him, is what they said. They said,

Speaker 1: everyone is going to Jesus, which is a good thing.

Speaker 1: But John knew his mission wasn't about numbers or fame.

Speaker 1: It was about preparing the way, making preparations for the way. Amen.

Speaker 1: Now here's a check for us. Even do we rejoice

Speaker 1: when God uses someone else? That is a good question.

Speaker 1: Right there. Let's pause for a second. Let's say that again.

Speaker 1: Do we rejoice when God uses someone else or do

Speaker 1: we get jealous because their platform seems bigger than our

Speaker 1: ministry comparison can be deadly. John's humility shows us the

Speaker 1: right posture we need to make celebrate Jesus no matter

Speaker 1: who he uses. Heymen, we need to celebrate Jesus no

Speaker 1: matter who he uses. And I like to be transparent,

Speaker 1: especially when it comes to the word of God. I'm

Speaker 1: excited and I'm rejoicing. I rejoice every day over the

Speaker 1: fact that God was able to use me for a season.

Speaker 1: For six and a half years. I was able to

Speaker 1: walk into a building, a five thousand square foot warehouse

Speaker 1: and put on events shows, add moon offen. We had

Speaker 1: a lobby, we had two extra offices. We've had a

Speaker 1: lot of space in that building. And it's an honor

Speaker 1: and privilege. Not too many people can say this in ministry.

Speaker 1: We were on TV, in the news, in the newspaper.

Speaker 1: People from all of the world knew about or heard

Speaker 1: about Club His Hot. We've had large name artists as

Speaker 1: well as independent artists. I rejoice in that. Right now,

Speaker 1: we're going into a new season in ministry, I do

Speaker 1: not have a club, and I would have to say

Speaker 1: that if it's God's will for me to never reopen

Speaker 1: another club, I need to accept that. Now. I'm not

Speaker 1: gonna say it would be easy, but I would need

Speaker 1: to be like John A Baptists and saying, you know what,

Speaker 1: I must decrease, so he must increase. And right now,

Speaker 1: even in our own ministry, the Lord is using my wife,

Speaker 1: my daughter, my children. So everyone is seen, is getting

Speaker 1: a lot of attention our programs, especially concerning the youth

Speaker 1: getting involved. They've been in the news, They're getting recognition

Speaker 1: in the community. But the police department and other entities,

Speaker 1: Buffalo wol Wings like doors are just opening up. And

Speaker 1: so I don't want to be stuck in the place

Speaker 1: saying that no, no is supposed to be about the club,

Speaker 1: when now it's something different. It's evolving. Now. I'm not

Speaker 1: saying that God is finished with the club, because God

Speaker 1: gave me clear words. But if this season I must decrease,

Speaker 1: I must sit back and support where God is moving

Speaker 1: and where God is working, because it's not about fame.

Speaker 1: It's not about mister his high popularity all that. It's

Speaker 1: about what God is doing and how God is moving

Speaker 1: Now this I'm not saying that I'm perfect, and I'm

Speaker 1: saying I've done everything that I needed to do. Yeah,

Speaker 1: there's been some kickbacks and pushback. I just wanted to

Speaker 1: make sure that you know this is God and not

Speaker 1: just someone trying to, you know, push me in a

Speaker 1: direction that's outside of the will of God. You know

Speaker 1: what I mean. But this is kind of like the

Speaker 1: season I'm in right now. You know, I'm still able

Speaker 1: to do events. You know, I'm still an important part

Speaker 1: of everything. You know, I'm still able to DJ and

Speaker 1: bring the music and bring artists and everything, but it's

Speaker 1: not necessarily club his hop like it was for almost

Speaker 1: seven years. And so I need to rejoice when God

Speaker 1: is using someone else. Amen. And I need to get

Speaker 1: behind that and not make it about me. Amen. Hallelujah. So, wifey,

Speaker 1: So where were we? We just finished Verse twenty six? Okay,

Speaker 1: dispute between some of John's disciples and Jews about purification,

Speaker 1: and they're coming to him all right. Twenty seven, John

Speaker 1: answered and said, Amen can receive nothing unless it has

Speaker 1: been given to him from heaven. Now that is an

Speaker 1: awesome scripture, awesome passage. So I couldnot have received the

Speaker 1: club unless it was given to me from heaven. Just

Speaker 1: think about the things that you have. The platform you have,

Speaker 1: the voice you have, the abilities God has given to you.

Speaker 1: They came to you from heaven. God has a purpose.

Speaker 1: God has a plan for that. We need to tap

Speaker 1: in and ask God, why am I still here? Why

Speaker 1: am I still breathing air oxygen going through my lungs.

Speaker 1: There's a purpose for my life and there's a plan

Speaker 1: as well. And it says you yourselves bear witness that

Speaker 1: I said, I am not the Christ. And we needn't

Speaker 1: know our land, we need to know our place. So

Speaker 1: when it comes to the issues and pressures of our lives,

Speaker 1: when we go through marital issues, we need to say,

Speaker 1: I am not the Christ. When we go through situations

Speaker 1: on our job, when people are trying to fire us,

Speaker 1: they're lying on behind our they're talking about us behind

Speaker 1: our backs. They're lying and they're trying to you know,

Speaker 1: watch us with GPS and cameras and you know, trying

Speaker 1: to catch us, you know, just to make an issue

Speaker 1: and all this stuff. Well, you know what you have

Speaker 1: to say to yourself, I am not the Christ. When

Speaker 1: you have financial issues. We need to say to ourselves,

Speaker 1: I am not the Christ. In other words, we need

Speaker 1: to know that God alone will fight our battles. We

Speaker 1: cannot do it in our own strength. We need to

Speaker 1: allow God to take the lead. And it's a T

Speaker 1: shirt right there, I am not the Christ. That is

Speaker 1: a good reminder for us. But it says, but I

Speaker 1: have been sent before him. Now that's the spirit of

Speaker 1: Elijah right there. He was the forerunner for Christ. And

Speaker 1: who knows, maybe I was sent before so everyone is seen.

Speaker 1: that we now have moving powerfully in our ministry. I

Speaker 1: don't know. But if that's God's will, then that's God's will. Amen.

Speaker 1: friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices

Speaker 1: knows his lane. Amen. We need to allow God to

Speaker 1: is the most important thing that everyone needs. We know

Speaker 1: that our platform is about growing in Christ, It's about evangelizing,

Speaker 1: it's about saving souls from the pits of hell, from judgment,

Speaker 1: from a horrible eternal experience. Like what we have to

Speaker 1: offer is more valuable than anything on this planet, but

Speaker 1: no one receives it. Like man, people are blind, like

Speaker 1: they one day this is going to be the only

Speaker 1: thing that they're going to seek after, but right now

Speaker 1: they just feel like they don't want to receive this testimony. See,

Speaker 1: he who has received his testimony has certified that God

Speaker 1: has the spirit without measure, unlike us who have spiritual

Speaker 1: Verse thirty six is the gospel in one sentence. Eternal

Speaker 1: surrender and faith in Him. Now Verse city six calls

Speaker 1: us to decide, will you receive him or reject him?

Speaker 1: Every time we speak to someone about the gospel. We

Speaker 1: need to bring them to this point where they have

Speaker 1: to choose. They have to respond. You can't just talk

Speaker 1: about Jesus and tell people about Jesus without getting a response.

Speaker 1: you reject him? And that's it. I mean, there's no

Speaker 1: there's no neutral ground. You can't say, oh, I'm just neutral.

Speaker 1: the other. No, you are rejecting Christ when you do that.
