- 3:07this week. I did.
- 3:10I did play. Thank goodness, dude.
- 3:12Just just this week I get in there.
- 3:14I still haven't done PTU though. Yeah, well, that's that's the
- 3:19main thing right now. We do have a PTU patch coming
- 3:22up. What is it, 4.7 Rock breaker?
- 3:27Yeah, inventory, crafting, all all the all the goodiness.
- 3:34But Speaking of goodies, you don't have to wait until the
- 3:37patch comes out. You can just go to Lens
- 3:39Nation's. Channel the giveaway.
- 3:40Check out all Oh, I thought you were going to do your your
- 3:43giveaway plug. Oh, my giveaway.
- 3:46Oh, you get, you're getting ahead of me here.
- 3:48You're getting ahead of me. We actually the the show started
- 3:52early, so the giveaway ends in 3 minutes.
- 3:55If you are listening live, you guys can sign up to the giveaway
- 3:57right now. We're giving away 2 Steam games
- 4:00today and we're going to do that in a in a little bit.
- 4:03The giveaway, of course, brought to you by Cruz Lux.
- 4:07But if you did check out Lens Nation's channel, you know that
- 4:10Lens is a family man and a recovering loot box hoarder.
- 4:16Luke Goblin. Luke Goblin.
- 4:20Yep. Guilty.
- 4:22Yep. Do you?
- 4:24I was early this morning, this evening playing Oblivion, The
- 4:29Elder Scrolls, and I'm running around there and I'm, I'm, I'm
- 4:32taking everything, you know, But I find that I don't do that in
- 4:35Star Citizen. But my my son is a bigger loot
- 4:40cobbler like he's I I'm still OK.
- 4:43Like he he is just insane. OK, he's taking everything.
- 4:49Picking it all up, even if I ask him for something in the game
- 4:52like Oh yeah, I don't have AI, don't have a Med Med Med pen.
- 4:56Yeah. He just, he just ignores me
- 4:59completely, like go. He's a hoarder, he's not a loot
- 5:03goblin. Yeah, he, yeah, Yeah, he's a
- 5:06he's, Yeah, he's, isn't that the next level of being a little
- 5:09goblin, like, you know, like be a hoarder then Yeah.
- 5:14He ignores me completely. Like I kid you not, if I go into
- 5:18Star Citizen right now, yeah, right now in my hangar on micro
- 5:22tech, there are items sitting on the floor.
- 5:25OK, there's a backpack, there's a mad gun, there is a box which
- 5:31has arms in it and legs in it, and there's a story behind it
- 5:34why they're just sitting there. Do tell, please well.
- 5:38Yeah, tell the story. Don't, Don't keep us waiting.
- 5:40Well, I'll tell you the story and it's a true story, and I can
- 5:43also go into the game and I can grab you a screenshot of that
- 5:45before the new patch drops, but that's been sitting there since
- 5:48the patch. Can you drop me your Twitter
- 5:49link in the DM? Because I want to tag you in the
- 5:51post. We're not on the Twitter.
- 5:53On Twitter, It's too much. I can't.
- 5:55I can't do the insta, I can't I. Can't do it all OK.
- 5:59You know how, OK, we're going to get verified.
- 6:01On this guy. OK, what I'll do is I'll then
- 6:04post the twitch then twitch. OK, let me just do this because
- 6:10otherwise I will forget about it.
- 6:13OK, we're talk. OK, this is a just going to make
- 6:16a post then just made the post. OK, tell the story, the true
- 6:20story. So when this new patch dropped,
- 6:25right we you remember there was a bug where your inventory just
- 6:31disappeared. Do you, do you remember that?
- 6:34Yeah, a lot of people had nothing.
- 6:37Yeah, they had nothing. Even the items you have actually
- 6:39bought with real money, you had nothing.
- 6:42So I was one of those people. I had nothing at all.
- 6:44I just had the the original spam suit and we were supposed to go
- 6:49in and do some machine in my shoot for a Percy's video that
- 6:53I'm editing. And he's he had everything.
- 6:58And we were on my product and I was like, oh, wait, can I grab
- 7:00some stuff from you? Just give me some of the stuff.
- 7:05Yeah, Yeah. My son, he's 12 years old.
- 7:10What do you want, Dad? Give me a helmet, which has a
- 7:14crosshair on it. And I need to carry a backpack,
- 7:18so give me AI want a heavy backpack, so give me a heavy
- 7:21core, OK. Gives me a helmet, gives me a
- 7:25core and gives me a backpack and runs away.
- 7:28And I knew what he was doing. I knew he's ignoring me.
- 7:31And he's like OK, what about arms and legs?
- 7:37Why do you need them? Say what are you doing this with
- 7:42me? You have 9 tails stuff like you
- 7:45loot the bunkers all the time. Can you not just give me a nine
- 7:49tails, arms and legs you don't need them.
- 7:54And I really got. No, I was, I was really angry.
- 8:00Really. Like what?
- 8:01Yeah. Aren't you this crazy about?
- 8:04And he's. And then I got and he know I
- 8:09started giving him the silent treatment and he's like, OK, OK,
- 8:11OK. I'll give you everything.
- 8:12Dad, what do you, what do you want?
- 8:13What do you want? It got very serious.
- 8:15So he started giving me stuff. He started putting down the arms
- 8:19and legs and everything. And it's like, I don't need them
- 8:23and I will never, ever ask you for anything in the game from
- 8:26now on. And I've left them there.
- 8:30He's that level of a loot goblin.
- 8:33True story. It got very serious.
- 8:35It sounds like it's a power thing with him.
- 8:38I don't know, he's a very good kid, but he likes to, he likes
- 8:45to hold man. He he just doesn't even want to
- 8:48give away one of hundreds of the 9 tail items he has.
- 8:54Like he got offered a Kraken by Chris Roberts in the Enter
- 8:57Atmosphere 2956 and he refused to take that.
- 9:00But then his challenge coin came up in the giveaway and he wasn't
- 9:05there and he cried to sleep for that.
- 9:08He's, he's got his priorities all over the place, man.
- 9:12You're Chris Roberts offered your child a crack in, which is
- 9:15like $1000 or something. Yeah, I don't know how much it
- 9:19is, but he didn't want it. Because you.
- 9:22It's the same skit that you LinkedIn the post remember that
- 9:26like that has a click click bait thumbnail.
- 9:29So we did the skit and all that. So Chris and Sandy saw it and
- 9:33they, they, they offered him a crack and he was like, we want
- 9:36you to have a crack. And I don't know, I mean, it's a
- 9:37longer story than that. But, but then he's then ACMO did
- 9:41giveaways with the challenge coins.
- 9:43And we, of course, everybody would get one challenge coin.
- 9:46So we had three, He had two. He had to leave the venue
- 9:50because he's underage. And the giveaways took place at
- 9:5311:30 or so. And both of his challenge coins,
- 9:57one for him and one from a wife, they both came up 86 and 87.
- 10:02I don't know what the giveaway was, but he couldn't claim them.
- 10:04And then he cried. I told him, it's like you, you
- 10:06should have given me the challenge coins.
- 10:08Why don't you leave them with me?
- 10:09And the same problem. He didn't want to leave them
- 10:12with me. I asked him, leave your
- 10:14challenge coins with me. Hold on.
- 10:16Let me did. You say your wife.
- 10:18You wrote your wife into this lifestyle too.
- 10:21Oh. No, no, no, she doesn't play
- 10:23Star Citizen at all. She's just there in a.
- 10:25Collection. No, No, No, no, no, no, no, no,
- 10:29no. Do you know about Enter
- 10:30Atmosphere 2956? Is that the atmo event?
- 10:35Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:37So I was the race analyst there and I was also participating in
- 10:40the PvP tournament as a streamer and I am Oh no, the PvP got
- 10:46cancelled. But the race analysis, because I
- 10:49do short casting for racing a lot.
- 10:51That's why I'm heavily involved with atmo and NZ racing.
- 10:55So that's, that's what I love doing, like commentating on
- 10:58races. So I've been very, very involved
- 11:02with that MO. I'm doing the Gravity Rush as
- 11:05well. So they, and I did the artworks
- 11:07that that's where it started. The T-shirts that you see at the
- 11:10Manchester Citizen Con, the, the, the merch that you have
- 11:15seen people wear, the devs wear in the S, the CIG episodes and
- 11:20stuff. So I've done the artwork for all
- 11:23of them and I did those for Enter Atmosphere 2956, which
- 11:27happened in Sydney. CHE came back to Australia after
- 11:3010 years, might 12 years or I don't know, it's.
- 11:34Going to be another 12. That.
- 11:36Was yeah, they're not coming back man.
- 11:38Nobody comes to Australia. We're.
- 11:41Going to Hong Kong, Yeah. Yeah, that'll be for a year.
- 11:44Yeah, Yeah, they're going to pay or something.
- 11:48Yeah, China is a big market, mate.
- 11:51So, yeah. So I was involved in that.
- 11:53And then Crucian from ATMA was like, would you like to do the
- 11:56race analysis for the the racing exhibition?
- 11:59I said yes, but I wanted to of course take.
- 12:01And my son was invited because he's been playing since he was 8
- 12:06and we do machinimas together and everything.
- 12:10And then we did the skit thingy and everything.
- 12:11So I was like, I want him to go there because I want him to
- 12:14understand the power of the community because he hangs out
- 12:18with people who are like in their 50s, in their 60s.
- 12:23I think he's having a really he's, he's getting a really good
- 12:26perspective on life. I, I kid you not.
- 12:28And he really knows the game. He knows the game way more than
- 12:30I do. He's been helping out a lot of
- 12:33Youtubers with their content. Like if this is not all he does,
- 12:36his time is very limited in the Star Citizen, but he absorbs it
- 12:39very quickly. And this is the only game he
- 12:41plays along with Hell Let Loose and the original Call of Duty.
- 12:46He's very, very yeah yes, 1996 Call of Duty because I gave it
- 12:53to him because I've been a gamer all my life.
- 12:56I wanted him to only play the games that I think are worth
- 13:00learning something and enjoying in a beautiful way.
- 13:04Not he hasn't played Overwatch, Apex Legends, even Minecraft.
- 13:09He he's not I don't let him play those games and I explain it to
- 13:13him why not? So he only plays very selective
- 13:17games which. Which we think are worth it.
- 13:21We play Walheim together, We play Snow Runner together, we
- 13:27play old Craft together. So most of the games we play
- 13:30together. But yeah, yeah, there's a lot of
- 13:33games, Yeah, Weekends, we we pick one.
- 13:36Yeah. Can you play Call of Duty
- 13:37online? No, no, we don't play that
- 13:39together. That's that's just because when
- 13:42he started playing Star Citizen he was only 8.
- 13:45He asked me can I play this? That was his first game ever was
- 13:48Star Citizen and I said can I play this?
- 13:51It's like are you really interested in this game?
- 13:53Yes. So I bought him a pack and gave
- 13:56myself my very first referral and he we would do bunkers and
- 14:02when the 9 tails would come out of their closet every now and
- 14:07then he will run from his PC to my PC.
- 14:10They're coming out, they're going to kill me.
- 14:13And he's dead. So it's like, OK, you need to
- 14:19learn FPS gameplay, you need to play Call of Duty.
- 14:23So he started playing Call of Duty, the original.
- 14:25So I and he fell in love with Call of Duty and he fell in love
- 14:28with World War 2 and the Horror Story, not story, but he fell in
- 14:34love with the whole machine that World War history is.
- 14:39And he he became easy about that.
- 14:43He's going to very, very next level.
- 14:45He picks the museums where we need to go.
- 14:48So we most of our time is spent in museums now with aircraft and
- 14:52tanks and armor. So I think education, man.
- 14:57Gaming is education. Very good.
- 14:59So that's why, that's why he plays the original Call of
- 15:01Duties. Yeah, Well, Lens, you know how
- 15:05this goes. You've heard the show before.
- 15:07What we do is we invite people up here to to take our calls.
- 15:10And this week's question, maybe you've been able to figure it
- 15:14out, maybe not. Can I play Star Citizen with my
- 15:18kids? That's the question we have
- 15:21Bill, who I, I think is our first today.
- 15:26Think we're new Bill and then Lord Anubis.
- 15:28Bill, welcome to Open Comms Radio, your Star Citizen call in
- 15:30show you're here live with Jar Jar Jabroni Duke, later the 2nd
- 15:34and our special guest Lens Nation this week.
- 15:36Bill, can I play Star Citizen with my kids?
- 15:40Yeah, I think you can. All right, that was it.
- 15:44That was. Bill's answer, everybody
- 15:45wrapping up, man. Yeah, we did it.
- 15:48No, I just think like I've been trying to think a lot about the
- 15:52game lately because like the the perspective or the aspect of the
- 15:56game is so huge. And I think you could use that
- 16:00as some sort of, I don't know, learning experience for the
- 16:02chick, the child or children about how big the universe
- 16:06actually is, like how small and insignificant we really are.
- 16:12If you really want to depress your children, that would be
- 16:14yeah. But I mean, I mean, all of our
- 16:19children now have seen shooter games and stuff.
- 16:22But you can show them that it's more than that.
- 16:24Mining, salvaging. You know, Bill, I'm glad you
- 16:28bring that up because I the other day I was like, I just, I
- 16:31want to play a game, but I don't want to like kill anything, you
- 16:35know, am I, am I the only one who feels this way?
- 16:38No 100%. Yeah, I just want to like sit
- 16:41back and and and chill and do something.
- 16:43And I almost played Star Citizen.
- 16:45We can talk about that in in a minute.
- 16:50I think you can play truck games for that.
- 16:51That's what we do with. We just play Snow Runner or ETS2
- 16:57or ATS 2. Those are the perfect games for
- 16:59that are. Those there's a truck driving
- 17:03through the snow. Is it like a?
- 17:05SIM Oh no, no, Snow runner is not that snow runner is the name
- 17:09has no, but it is none of that. It's a very, very physicalized.
- 17:14It's a truck game, but it's not like.
- 17:17Do you know about the American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck
- 17:20Simulator? Those are your like proper truck
- 17:24driving games like the big rigs and everything.
- 17:26But Snowdoner is very specialized in the sense that
- 17:29you have, you have to shift down low gears.
- 17:32You're driving in the mud mostly and the ground deforms to your
- 17:36inputs. So you if you drive through 1
- 17:38patch of an area multiple times that the mud keeps getting more
- 17:43tough to drive through. So it's a very, very slow game
- 17:45and you need to do deliveries and do missions and open the
- 17:48areas and scout. It's good.
- 17:50It's not that good, but it's good.
- 17:53Interesting. Hi Chris, you heard that we we
- 17:56need the ground to deform under our ground vehicles and get mud.
- 18:00Oh no, no, don't tell him. Don't.
- 18:02Let's not give him that. Idea.
- 18:03We call him feature creep. Dude, Warriors.
- 18:05No, no, no, please no. Bill, you got some.
- 18:10You got some chitlins at home, huh?
- 18:13Yeah, I have one. You got 1 chitlin have have have
- 18:16you tried to introduce your your child to the wonderful world of
- 18:20of Star Citizen? Yeah, whenever I'm playing it,
- 18:22she's always like, oh wow, what is that?
- 18:24And then I tell her and she's like, oh, cool.
- 18:26And then she watches and like, she just likes the graphics and
- 18:30like how good it really looks. But she's, I mean, that's a,
- 18:34that's a big part of it. Yeah, it really is.
- 18:39But I mean, she's almost 16 now so she just if it doesn't
- 18:43involve her phone or her car or friends, she doesn't really give
- 18:45a shit about it. That makes sense.
- 18:48Yeah, Yeah, Lens, you've probably only got a couple more
- 18:51years. Yeah, we were talking about that
- 18:54yesterday with my friends as well.
- 18:56Like he's good now, but he's going to be at that age.
- 19:02It's like our hope he. Stays true.
- 19:05Let's see, He'll he'll come back.
- 19:07Yeah, we. Girls are only interesting for
- 19:09so long. We were all there, right?
- 19:10We were all there, yeah. At what?
- 19:13At what age do you hit when women are no longer interesting?
- 19:19I know, we'll let you know. Wrong question.
- 19:23I think the answer to that really depends on how you live
- 19:26your life currently. Like for me, I'm almost 40 now,
- 19:30single, been single for like 10 years.
- 19:33I don't really care about them. Like it's nice to have them come
- 19:36around every now and then, but I don't want them sticking around
- 19:39or like I got stuff going on, I got to play Star Citizen or I
- 19:44got to do something else. It's more fun.
- 19:46Babe, there's an event. Yeah, I got to.
- 19:49I got to get this cargo. I got to get this mold.
- 19:52I got to take it over there. I got to take the new stuff back
- 19:56and show the people like I got stuff going on here.
- 19:59I don't have time for you. Yeah, it's, it's been a good
- 20:02time recently with the events and we have another one coming
- 20:04up in, in 4.7 heavy industrial event.
- 20:10Bill, Perfect. Bill, did you manage to make it
- 20:12into the PTU this week? Not yet, I did see there was
- 20:17just another update for it today.
- 20:19So Yep, since my libraries, my media libraries making me mad, I
- 20:24might jump on and play. Yeah, they're pushing out
- 20:28updates left and right here with this one.
- 20:29It's it's very quick. I'm hoping that kind of like
- 20:33cadence continues. Yes.
- 20:37That's the plan. That was the promise.
- 20:40Oh, don't say the keyword. This quadrant is feature
- 20:43complete. Do we have any clue on when
- 20:46that's coming? You know what, three months ago
- 20:51we did a video we'll Star Citizen release in 2026 and the
- 20:56kind of consensus was was will they really have to start
- 20:59advertising by like March latest early?
- 21:03April No, but they talked about that.
- 21:06They, they have made it clear that they will not do that.
- 21:09They will not go into a long marketing campaign.
- 21:12They will wait till they're ready and then they will do a
- 21:18short campaign. I also spoke to Zalo about that
- 21:21at Sydney and he said that yeah, we we're not really going to
- 21:25focus on a long marketing campaign.
- 21:30Because why would they, right? I mean the the words went out
- 21:32about the game for over a decade.
- 21:36Do you guys, Yeah. Do you guys think that's a smart
- 21:40decision? Like if you were CIG and you
- 21:42were in that predicament, would you do a long marketing campaign
- 21:46or? I would do a short 1, I think,
- 21:49because like I said, the, the word is out there.
- 21:52There's also already so much doubt out there, right?
- 21:55And so many naysayers. So if you've got a really
- 21:57prolonged marketing campaign, it just gives all those bored,
- 22:02desperate journalists time to, to, to bring up all the, you
- 22:06know, all the missed, all the missed deadlines and all the
- 22:10bugs and yada, yada, yada. Whereas if they're confident
- 22:13that it's ready and it's going to be good, then they should
- 22:16just be like, hey, it's coming out, you know, next month or two
- 22:19months from now. Here it is.
- 22:21Boom, boom, boom. Here's like maybe 3 videos and
- 22:24now it's in your hands, you know, balls to the walls.
- 22:28We're confident here it is. And then let people play it.
- 22:31And I think that's how they're feeling.
- 22:32I think they are hopefully feeling confident that it's
- 22:35going to it's going to work out. What do you reckon, John I?
- 22:41I'm I'm the ever the pessimist on this one.
- 22:45I don't think it's coming out this year.
- 22:47I think we're going to get, I think he's going to say, oh, we
- 22:51needed to reshoot some Gillian Anderson scenes, but we saw her,
- 22:57she died. He's like, yeah, we're going to
- 22:58rework the whole beginning because we showed it to you.
- 23:01So now it's spoiled. So we're going to, we're just
- 23:02going to rework it a bit. I do see the website say 2026
- 23:08but. Maybe not.
- 23:11Maybe I'm too much of a negative Nancy.
- 23:13No, but I agree with you, Jar Jar, I am the same.
- 23:18I don't think it's releasing in 2026, but I also agree on the
- 23:25whole idea of like, yeah, let's not do a long marketing
- 23:27campaign. So either what Duke said exactly
- 23:33that. Like the yeah, the word is
- 23:35already out there and people know about it.
- 23:37So there's no reason to really set the expectations or what the
- 23:44reason is that well, the game is actually not ready.
- 23:47Why do a marketing campaign when it's not even coming out?
- 23:50So it can be either of those. That hurts.
- 23:53Well, we are going to move on to our next caller.
- 23:57We bring up. We have a first time caller down
- 23:58in the waiting room right now. Before we do that though, a
- 24:01couple comments here in chat, Hobo says.
- 24:06I'm watching it on Twitch, sorry.
- 24:09Murphy, Jack Junior says that's saying it's coming out this
- 24:13year. You know, he, he, Wicket said.
- 24:16Dune 3's first trailer just dropped and it released, Oh
- 24:19yeah, December. Yes, that.
- 24:22That's cooking, man. Yeah, but but Dune has to do a
- 24:25long marketing campaign because, like, who's ever heard of Dune?
- 24:34I'm not sure it's considered a long campaign, but Bill, do me a
- 24:36favour here. Scoot on down the couch, Lens,
- 24:38we have a big old couch here. It gets bigger as more people
- 24:41join the call here on Open Comms Radio.
- 24:43Anyone could join the call, just pop into the discord.
- 24:46Here we have our first time caller, Draco Mundi.
- 24:50Draco Mundi, welcome to Open Comms Radio.
- 24:53This week's question Can I play Star Citizen with my kids?
- 25:02Wow. So yeah, first time caller.
- 25:06I've been listening to you guys for a while, I think since the
- 25:08first episode. I think so too.
- 25:12Yeah, I've been, I've been a little lurker, but can you play
- 25:16Star Citizen with your kid? I mean, I don't see, I don't see
- 25:20why not. I during the last event there
- 25:25was actually a father and daughter that was in her group
- 25:30and the daughter outed it and saying that she that he pays her
- 25:34to to actually play with him. There you go, Bill.
- 25:40You go underneath the gas money, right?
- 25:42Yeah, come mine, some rocks for me.
- 25:44I I'm looking for gold. So I mean, that was that, that
- 25:48was pretty much what what it felt like, but it was a good
- 25:51time. That's did she mention how much
- 25:55she was getting paid? $10.00 an hour.
- 25:58Get out of here. Oh.
- 26:00I was like, I was like, Dang it, someone wants to pay $10.00 an
- 26:04hour, I'll, I'll play some Star Citizen with them.
- 26:07Yeah, Oh my gosh, yeah, I can make it work.
- 26:12It's not minimum wage here, but I can make it work.
- 26:14Yeah, I'll, I'll put it into my, I'll put it into my schedule
- 26:17somehow. Do I get I got time?
- 26:18Do I get time and a half if I do more than 8 hours in a row?
- 26:22You know, I those are all important questions that I
- 26:25didn't ask. For the weekends, do you get
- 26:28extra overloading? What about the public holidays?
- 26:31Yeah, is there? A union for this?
- 26:35Maybe there should be? If you're streaming or
- 26:37recording, do you have to pay extra for that?
- 26:40Oh, valid question. Valid question I was going to
- 26:44ask you. In some of your videos, it looks
- 26:45like you've got like a whole crew working for you.
- 26:50They are friends. Not crew, just friends.
- 26:53All friends. They slowly join together.
- 26:56Yeah. He doesn't like a machinima.
- 26:57No, I'm not. No, he doesn't want to.
- 27:00Call him a crew because that implies.
- 27:02Yeah, no comments on that. We will get back to you on that
- 27:10that boilerplate. No.
- 27:12Machine and machine. Draco, this is your first time
- 27:15on the show. You've been listening for a
- 27:18while. I assume you've heard the
- 27:21earlier intro and you've heard the new intro, Yeah.
- 27:25Do you have an opinion on the intros?
- 27:28I I have not heard the newer intro.
- 27:31Oh, all right. Very good.
- 27:34No, that's. All right.
- 27:35But I'm sure it's great. It is great.
- 27:37It's fantastic. 4.7 is coming out.
- 27:40Rock Breaker. Yeah, crafting.
- 27:42Have you been able to play any of it in the PTU?
- 27:45No, unfortunately they decided to wait till I was travelling
- 27:48for the, you know, this week and next week whenever they released
- 27:50on the year. So I haven't got a chance to
- 27:52happen at all. But from what I've seen it looks
- 27:54it looks all. Yeah, I think it looks pretty
- 27:57good. Lots of industrial gameplay.
- 27:59We're going to get a new Aurora in the mix.
- 28:03The Aurora Mark 2 doesn't really spark the excitement.
- 28:07I don't think that I'm. Excited.
- 28:11Really. Yeah, and I don't even, I mean,
- 28:14I don't know. I I don't even like the current
- 28:16Aurora. I know you you still have one,
- 28:19but I'm excited to see what they do with it.
- 28:22They've changed it to 1 door now.
- 28:25I did see that. I I don't.
- 28:29Like that? I was gonna say, I do think they
- 28:31need to be. They need to start being real
- 28:33careful about which ones they marked too.
- 28:34Like the Aurora did need a makeover, but they, it it does,
- 28:40it does feel like it's invalidating a lot of shifts
- 28:42whenever they just go and Mark start Mark doing a lot of a lot
- 28:45of them. I know they said that they
- 28:48weren't going to start Mark doing everything, but you know,
- 28:51they, they said a lot of things in the past and look where we
- 28:55are. So I agree, I, I don't like the
- 28:57whole Mark 2 versus gold standard explanation that we
- 29:03got. I'm kind of like, no, like, I
- 29:05mean, I love the freelancer. I I flew the freelancer for
- 29:07years, but it, it just, it, it doesn't work anymore.
- 29:12You know, don't, don't mark to it, just just fix it.
- 29:16Yeah, just to make it a better, the better version of itself,
- 29:21because why would anyone want to fly the Mark one when the Mark 2
- 29:26comes out and it is just the Aurora better?
- 29:30Yeah, well. Don't call it the mark one.
- 29:32Call it classic. There you go.
- 29:35It's a branding. I mean, we said that, but people
- 29:37are still driving, you know, 67 Chevys and things like that when
- 29:42there's a, when there's a brand new one.
- 29:45No, but he's right. You don't see any freelancers in
- 29:46the game. I got in, I bought a freelancer
- 29:48now it's so incompatible with the game today.
- 29:52Yeah. If they do a freelancer mark 2
- 29:57right and you still have to hold on to your shitty old
- 30:00freelancer, but there's this new shining when you got paid $10
- 30:03more to get it. But that's the whole idea.
- 30:07That's the, I think that's the whole idea behind it.
- 30:09Because they want you to buy the new ship because yeah, there's
- 30:14zero rod. They can fix it, but then
- 30:16everybody gets it for free. Why leave the money on the
- 30:19table? Make a new version, but your old
- 30:22one is useless. But pay more and get the new
- 30:25one. Simple marketing, that's what.
- 30:27And I definitely don't agree with that, that's it's going to
- 30:31hurt a lot more when the consolation rework happens and
- 30:34that gets introduced to S MK5. That's going to hurt a lot.
- 30:41I'm a I'm a feeling they're not going to mark to the inflation.
- 30:46What gives you what gives you this confidence?
- 30:49So I know that they there was that SCLI think it was the one
- 30:53during that tipping last year. They were talking about how like
- 30:57why they're marcuing and why they don't.
- 30:59I, I think, I think the Constellation is such a popular
- 31:03ship that people would like CI GS buildings on fire.
- 31:07Yeah, like the Aurora is one thing.
- 31:10It is it is the most owned ship, but it's not it's not like a
- 31:15it's not as much of A staple as the Connie is not as.
- 31:20Expensive either. You didn't need to save up for
- 31:22an. Aurora exactly right.
- 31:25So I. Really hope you're correct about
- 31:26that, Ricker. I really hope.
- 31:28They they already have so many variances of the of the
- 31:32constellation that like what what What would the mark 2 bring
- 31:36to the table that the mark 1 doesn't?
- 31:38The the mark? All of the current
- 31:39constellations just need all they need is a makeover.
- 31:43They just need to be brought back up to standard and then
- 31:45they would be just as good as many of the other ships are
- 31:48coming out with now. Well, Speaking of things coming
- 31:57out right now, we do have a giveaway here on Open Comms

- 33:03What you were doing a bar citizen drawing and I'm I'm up

- 33:09the for me. Yeah, for the thing I'm holding.
- 33:11Yeah, we were doing the drawing and then Duke won the first
- 33:14prize at the drawing and I was like, Nope, can't, can't have.

- 33:47No, it's not. That is the game.
- 33:49That you have one missed. 1040. It is actually really good game.
- 33:54It is actually. Really good game.
- 33:56It is actually very good. Yes, it is hilarious.
- 34:01I feel like you had to really dive dive deep into the depths
- 34:04of steam to find that. One, it is funny.
- 34:08It's it's just funny on a very different level.
- 34:10Yeah. Yeah, so Mr. Tim and Colonel,
- 34:15I'm gonna I'll DM you guys later and we'll work some out.
- 34:19As long as you have Steam, I'll I'll send you the game there.
- 34:21Shower with your dad Simulator 2015.
- 34:24Speaking of dads, Speaking of moms, Speaking of everybody who
- 34:27likes to play Star Citizen, we have a first time caller down
- 34:31here in the audience. So our regulars there are going
- 34:35to have to wait a minute. Sorry, homies.
- 34:38We're going to invite Nikki D10 up to speak.
- 34:41Nikki D10 first time caller here on Open Comms Radio.
- 34:47All you got to do Nikki, is consent.
- 34:49It's. It's just your base.
- 34:52Don't. Bother reading it?
- 34:53Yeah. Don't read it.
- 34:55Yeah. Nikki D9 read it and he
- 34:57regretted it so. Nicky D 10 welcome to Open Comms
- 35:01Radio, your Star Citizen calling show.
- 35:03You are here live with Jar Jar Jabroni Duke, later the Second
- 35:06Lens Nation, Perfect Bill and Draco Mundi.
- 35:10Nicky D10 Can I play Star Citizen with my kids?
- 35:19Nicky D You can. I think it's because I forgot to
- 35:23scooch over. Oh yeah, Scooch right over
- 35:26there, Draco, Yeah. I got to scooch over so you can
- 35:28get on the couch. Yeah.
- 35:30All right. Nicky, you there?
- 35:32Yep. Can you hear me?
- 35:33Hey yo, Nikki D. Nikki D 10.
- 35:38But as I was saying, it depends how much fun you want to have.
- 35:43Oh good point. Can you dive into?
- 35:45That you tell me. Elaborate.
- 35:47No, I think I think you can definitely have fun playing with
- 35:52your kid. However, I think, I think if you
- 35:57want to get into a little bit of a nitty gritty and the
- 36:01camaraderie of that maybe we typically enjoy it's at Red Scar
- 36:06somewhere else. I don't know that it's maybe kid
- 36:12friendly. Are you talking about foul
- 36:15language? I would say so.
- 36:18Innuendos. Innuendos, perhaps?
- 36:22You know, this is a good point. You have Nikki 'cause when I
- 36:24first started playing Star Citizen, I was with this other
- 36:27group and they were, you know, they were cool, they were all
- 36:30right and stuff. But the guy running the group
- 36:35didn't let us curse or swear or anything because he said it's a
- 36:39group for everybody. And sometimes his nephews come
- 36:42in and they're younger. So he wants to have like an A
- 36:45rated E for everyone discord. And I eventually I was just
- 36:49like, I can't, like I can't do this.
- 36:51I can't, you know, I'm playing Star Citizen.
- 36:54I need, I need to be able to say things.
- 36:55I'm a. Yeah, free spirit, you know how
- 36:58I put it. I'm going to use a I'm going to
- 37:01use a weird analogy, but but try and follow me for this one.
- 37:05Have you ever watched maybe like a a Twitch stream or like a
- 37:11YouTube live and you look at like the chat of that streamers,
- 37:19that streamer's chat and you just see in there it's like 15
- 37:24mods having a conversation. And then like every once in a
- 37:28blue moon, you see someone who's not a mod chime in and then.
- 37:35Like the show? Yeah, I feel like, I feel like
- 37:38when, when you have, I feel like when you have kids around and
- 37:42you have to, you know, moderate yourself so much.
- 37:44It's kind of like being in a room full of moderators, you
- 37:47know, which it's kind of like the same thing as like if you're
- 37:50playing football and there's, you know, 50 referees on the
- 37:53field and then only, you know, 12 players.
- 37:57It's, it gets a little weird at that point.
- 38:01Yes. Sucks the fun out of it some.
- 38:04Sometimes I, I, I certainly feel, yeah.
- 38:06It's just, I feel like you don't.
- 38:08You can't always open yourself up or feel relaxed, I guess is
- 38:12maybe the what what I'm getting at.
- 38:14But I mean, as I said, you can't have fun.
- 38:18I just feel like sometimes you can't always, you know, let your
- 38:20hair down. Makes it feel like you can
- 38:23always walk on the exhales. Exactly, exactly.
- 38:27You don't want to be the guy. Yeah.
- 38:30Do you have kids? I don't yet, no.
- 38:33Yeah, see, I can tell because I swear in front of my kids all
- 38:36the time. Not not on purpose, but it comes
- 38:41out they they get used to it. Don't worry.
- 38:42A. 100. Percent.
- 38:43Worst I I have I have 55. I have 33 nephews and two nieces
- 38:53and I will say that it's not a good feeling dropping a curse
- 38:57word and then hearing them say it 2 minutes later and then
- 39:00having their parents like you're a dickhead.
- 39:01I love what? Happened.
- 39:03That's my. They're gonna learn it anyways,
- 39:07they might as well learn it from me.
- 39:09But you gotta. You gotta teach them how to how
- 39:11to do it properly because a lot of times they'll they learn the
- 39:15first time they learn a word is just every other word is the
- 39:18word they just learned. You're like you.
- 39:19No, no, you got to you got to learn how to properly utilize
- 39:23utilize these these words. Yeah, I mean, Len started the
- 39:28show by talking about how his son would bully him in the game.
- 39:32So I I. I know these are this is
- 39:35actually a very valid sorry, sorry, continue finish up.
- 39:38No, go on, go on please. This is a really good.
- 39:41Point yeah, this is a very valid point for everybody saying
- 39:45because yes, the the language is extremely important with us.
- 39:49It's like we have no filter at home in the sense that if we are
- 39:55watching something, he's allowed to watch it.
- 39:58We will not censor him and tell him that, hey, walk away from
- 40:04here because this this movie is not for you.
- 40:05Because. But then again, we are a little
- 40:07bit careful about what we pick to watch.
- 40:09We're not watching. Porn, you know like that that is
- 40:14like an extreme scale, but we're not watching crappy stuff and I
- 40:19swear I do as yeah, we play Star Citizen exactly yeah, there's no
- 40:26way you will not swear in Star Citizen 30 KS were a thing for
- 40:31the past, but still the memory lingers.
- 40:34But one thing I do not personally I don't like there
- 40:40are people that we know as well who just swear for the heck of
- 40:43it where every sentence has AF word in it without because just
- 40:49it sounds cool. I don't like that even I don't
- 40:53like to engage in conversation with them people or take them
- 40:56even seriously because you're just saying it for the sake of
- 40:59it. That stereotype of a person and
- 41:02there are those people in the world.
- 41:04So I don't like that. And that kind of behaviour
- 41:06sometimes comes out quite a lot on in online multiplayer games.
- 41:12But I'm glad to say that when we are playing and we have a very
- 41:16different groups of people that we play with, and also I believe
- 41:20that you attract your kind of people to you.
- 41:23You always end up hanging out with the kind of people you want
- 41:26to hang out with and well, those are all the kind of people who,
- 41:29yes, sometimes that the hair down, but they're not
- 41:32obsessively swearing all the time.
- 41:35So when we are doing the missions and we are, because my
- 41:38son is now getting involved in the racing in Star Citizen.
- 41:43So he practiced quite a lot and he hangs out with Jacquardin,
- 41:48who is one of the very fastest people in Star Citizen right
- 41:51now. And he runs these racing school
- 41:56for XGR community. And there there's there's people
- 42:00from every walk of life. I didn't even ask Jacko, but
- 42:03Jacko actually said that, hey, we have a 12 year old with us
- 42:06today or whenever he's there and he's not just there to hang out.
- 42:09He is one of the fast racers. He's got his name on the
- 42:12leaderboards. So just be aware.
- 42:14We're not saying don't swear, but just be aware and people
- 42:19just normally behave. I think it's just a nice
- 42:23feeling, but we don't censor anything.
- 42:26I swear sometimes I talk to him, sometimes I use the F word shit,
- 42:29whatever and I stream. This happens quite a lot.
- 42:32But yeah, it's not obsessive. It's not.
- 42:35So you definitely play, can play with your kids and also swear
- 42:39when you want to. Yeah, big thing is knowing your
- 42:43audience. I like that.
- 42:46Exactly. Yeah, your kid sounds like a
- 42:48little Anakin Skywalker there. Yeah.
- 42:51He's a little sweaty little. There.
- 42:55Sounds, yeah. Sounds a little sweaty, yeah?
- 43:00He's he's on the he's on the SCR leaderboard, so he's
- 43:03participating in the heavy class and I'm very happy that he's
- 43:06caught the bug of racing because I think that skill of ship
- 43:10racing that's very transferable. You know that that's your hand
- 43:15eye coordination, man, that like it's not easy to race and Star
- 43:18Citizen and be good at it. So if that's true does that I'm
- 43:22very happy with that. I'm very, very happy about that.
- 43:26That is a weird thing. Like I I talked about with my
- 43:29kids where I'd rather they played a video game than watch
- 43:34TV. Exactly.
- 43:37Unless it took, I mean like, like they like watching nature
- 43:39documentaries and stuff, which I'm cool with, but otherwise I'm
- 43:43like, you know, play a game where you can create or, or you
- 43:46can compete or, or learn something.
- 43:49I mean, my son's reading, he's only, he's 7.
- 43:52His reading is fantastic and and most of it is actually from No
- 43:56Man's Sky. Yes, because a lot of text in
- 43:59the dialogue. So much text and so much, you
- 44:03know, the, the crafting and like hunting down all the stuff.
- 44:07And I'm like, there's not a lot of seven-year olds who are going
- 44:09around talking about aluminum and, you know, all the other,
- 44:13all the other medals. That's a very good point.
- 44:16My like, like I never even thought of that.
- 44:17Like, yeah, because old the crafting recipes that you need
- 44:20in Norman's Sky, they they all make somewhat sense in the real
- 44:25world. Yeah, I mean, absolutely.
- 44:27And even the base building in Norman's Sky, that is a skill
- 44:30which is transferable. True.
- 44:32What? How?
- 44:34How? Jaja, you're reaching.
- 44:36You're reaching here. No.
- 44:37OK. Have you played Norman's Sky at
- 44:40all? Or you and let no.
- 44:42So then, then you cannot be the judging authority here, because
- 44:45No Man's Sky's base building is is amazingly creative.
- 44:51Is. Very creative, like I have my
- 44:54like 10 bases and three of them are just mazes like their
- 45:00labyrinths, their hidden rooms and my God I had the best time
- 45:04making those bases. Same thing happens in Walheim.
- 45:09Well hey, architecture, right? It's it's level building like
- 45:13it's beauty of design. And even on the base terms,
- 45:18depending on how young they get into it, you're, you're just
- 45:20talking about spatial learning and how spaces physically relate
- 45:25to each other. That can be big for for kids.
- 45:28I mean, that's why we play with Legos.
- 45:30As a 40 year old man, it's still important for me to participate
- 45:33in spatial learning skills. No, because.
- 45:36It's too. It's too late for you already.
- 45:40'Cause you, you didn't play No Man's Sky when you were a kid.
- 45:44Jar jar. That's why no.
- 45:46I played Pokémon. My grandmother did look at it
- 45:48and she was like, well, at least he's reading.
- 45:51Oh he's very good at Legos. Exactly.
- 45:53I think that that skill, it gets transfer.
- 45:55But in this case, he was playing Legos, before that he was
- 45:59playing Norman's guy and he's won awards in his Lego videos
- 46:03and what not. Like, you know, it's, it's good
- 46:06stuff. I think the skills are very
- 46:08transferable. All right, well, look, we're,
- 46:13we're, we're going to bring up another caller here soon, but
- 46:16Nikki, Nikki Dee, I want to make sure you had enough time to say
- 46:18everything you wanted to say. Is there anything else itching
- 46:22your bones right now? Maybe the the one thing I'll
- 46:25leave you guys with is I do think it's an awesome, awesome
- 46:30thing to be able to play games with your kid or just really
- 46:34share any experience with your kid that you both enjoy.
- 46:37So regardless of how how other people receive it, I feel like
- 46:45at the end of the day, it's more important than anything else to
- 46:49be able to, you know, share, have a shared experience with
- 46:51your kid that you can both enjoy.
- 46:53And you know, if that Star Citizen or whatever that is, you
- 46:58should be able to do that in any, in any circumstance.
- 47:03That's all. Such a beautiful thought.
- 47:05Nikki D is leaving right now to schedule his vasectomy.
- 47:08I can feel it. Oh.
- 47:14Yeah, Nikki, you can stay on the couch if you want, or you can
- 47:16pop off as you like. The couch does get bigger and
- 47:20bigger than more people that get on.
- 47:23Duke peed on it once, but that's what the smell is.
- 47:25Don't worry about it. We're going.
- 47:27To bring up. Cosmic hobo Next cosmic hobo.
- 47:31Regular What are you? This was what's next.
- 47:33And Nubis isn't ready. And Nubis told me he's not
- 47:35ready. OK, OK.
- 47:37So Cosmic Hobo, welcome to Open Comms Radio, your Star Citizen
- 47:41Colin show. This week's question How many
- 47:44land cards do I need in my commander deck?
- 47:48It depends on your mana curve. What if you've got a lot of 1-2
- 47:55and three drops, you need fewer land.
- 47:58But if you've got some bigger ones like 5 sixes and sevens, if
- 48:01you're really bringing out the big boys, you're going to need
- 48:04more land. What would you say is like
- 48:06average? Average is usually around 20 to
- 48:0930 depending on again your manicurve.
- 48:12I'm a big fan of 30. I have absolutely no idea what's
- 48:15what's going on. I mean, I feel like you got the
- 48:17easier, easier question than the rest of us.
- 48:22I just want to point this out. Oh yeah, we just Duke ask him
- 48:25the Star Citizen one. No.
- 48:28What? What was that?
- 48:29What was that all about? Magic.
- 48:32Magic the Gathering. Keep up bro.
- 48:35We're going to play Magic. I'm sorry.
- 48:37You can play Magic with your kids.
- 48:39I I have kids so. Hey, you can play magic with
- 48:43them. My kid.
- 48:45We we play Magic. Hobo.
- 48:48Can you can can one play Star Citizen with their kids?
- 48:53Yeah, you can play Magic with your kids, just you need to
- 48:55build them a deck and Nope, no, no, find out what they want to
- 48:58play I. I would rather my kids started
- 49:00doing drugs like a normal person.
- 49:02Yeah, that's fair. And you?
- 49:04Buy per card. It's not that expensive.
- 49:07If you research the cards you want to buy, it gets.
- 49:09Fixed my my dealer said the same thing if I bought per blunt.
- 49:12I spend like 80 bucks. It's not that big a deal.
- 49:14I have a deck compared to Star Citizen Magic, you know it it's
- 49:18it adds up gambling. It adds up, trust me, I've got 9
- 49:21decks. My God.
- 49:24Anyway, yeah, sure, like all the reasons so far have been covered
- 49:30in my opinion for if you can play with your kids and I, I
- 49:33have loved that we've not just defaulted to, yeah, shove them
- 49:37in a turret because I feel like that's most parents answer is
- 49:43yeah, sure I want to stick my kid in a turret or have them be
- 49:47a box monkey or something. That's true.
- 49:50No one, no one's brought that up.
- 49:53I would, I would like to actually have a comment off of
- 49:56that. Do you think Star Citizen is, is
- 49:59in a bit of a unique situation? I don't know about unique, but
- 50:02there are so many game loops, stuff that like you can get your
- 50:06kid involved in any, you know, game loop that you know, based
- 50:12on what games they enjoy playing.
- 50:14So it's not exactly the same, but there's just so many, so
- 50:17many different types of of game ones that they can interact with
- 50:21that it is, it is a kind of a unique position to be able to
- 50:27like get them to play a bunch of different, a bunch of different
- 50:31ways with a bunch of different game ones.
- 50:34Yeah, and there's there's not. It's not as open-ended as say
- 50:39Minecraft, but it's also not as strict as say Call of Duty
- 50:45match. It's it's got that nice kind of,
- 50:49I can go here, I can do that. Wow.
- 50:51There's, there's that appeal to it that you don't get in almost
- 50:57any other game that brings, I would assume all of us back to
- 51:02the game even after breaks of months, if not years.
- 51:07Sometimes it, it, it still brings us back.
- 51:09And I think for that reason, it's also good for for kids to
- 51:12have sort of that mold breaking experience because if you look
- 51:18at games that are advertised to kids these days, Fortnite.
- 51:22Roblox. And.
- 51:25Band in my ass. Yeah, Minecraft I guess as well,
- 51:30but those are very open-ended, but also very, and I know this
- 51:37is ironic for talking about star system monetized.
- 51:40Yeah, I knew. I knew it was coming.
- 51:42Yeah, they're I hate using the word predatory, but oh, they.
- 51:49Definitely. Absolutely they are.
- 51:52They're. They're literally teaching kids
- 51:55to gamble and then everything put in front of them is just
- 52:00money. Money, money, money, money,
- 52:01money. Yeah.
- 52:02And there's a. Great irony for saying that Star
- 52:05Sins is not monetized that same way because it it it is, but
- 52:10it's not in game, it's not in your face and it's.
- 52:13Not constant. It's not on the main menu when
- 52:16you turn it on every. Single line.
- 52:18Yeah, it's. No login splash screen battle
- 52:22pass with a sexy dancing lady or something.
- 52:26Gotcha. Oh.
- 52:27Hold on, go back to that. Go back to that Lady.
- 52:29Go play a gotcha again. Click that.
- 52:31Click that. Yeah.
- 52:32Yeah, see, that's what they want.
- 52:33They it's like, oh wow, I wanted I want pretty lady or I want, I
- 52:39don't know, Chappelle Rowan skin so I can floss on my friends.
- 52:44Pink Pony Club. That right, It's open-ended
- 52:54without being monetized and open-ended, I guess, which it's
- 53:02a weird way to put it, but it's, it's refreshing, I think.
- 53:06And I think for kids, maybe that could be refreshing for them
- 53:09too. I, I don't have kids.
- 53:11I've got a 10 year old niece, but she doesn't play much of
- 53:16anything. Stardew Valley I think, and
- 53:20Zauda, but yeah. OK, OK.
- 53:28Now, when you were younger, Cosmic Hobo, what was it that
- 53:31you were playing with? No, I'm sorry.
- 53:34That came out wrong. What was it that you were
- 53:35playing? What video game were you
- 53:36playing? That your parents were taken
- 53:39away from you, That they're like you?
- 53:40No, not this. Or did you have?
- 53:46They weren't very good at that in the sense that they weren't
- 53:49very good at understanding, I guess, video games all that
- 53:56much. Yeah.
- 53:58Like so like they, they take away the Xbox or something if I
- 54:02was bad or you know, the Game Boy would be taken away at some
- 54:07point or another for grounding. Like, you know, everyone,
- 54:12everyone gets that at some point in their life as a kid.
- 54:16Like they get punished, they did something wrong and they get
- 54:18punished. But like, I don't know, my
- 54:23parents never fully understood it, which also means that I got
- 54:28to play like Halo and GTA and all sorts of things that I was
- 54:39probably like. If you remember correctly, some
- 54:42of us probably do the first Star Craft just before even Brood
- 54:47War. Just Star Craft was rated in.
- 54:53It's forgotten it was originally rated in.
- 54:57I love the fuck out of that. Was the one I'm 26 before also.
- 55:01Who's going to read it out before violence?
- 55:05The Marines blow up into blood like.
- 55:08Yeah, but those are little tiny Marines.
- 55:12We're talking the 90s MPAA here. Look man, when when you're in a
- 55:16when you're looking at them from a satellite, all Marines are a
- 55:18little teeny tiny. Yeah, exactly.
- 55:20That's what I'm saying. There's a lot of blood in that
- 55:22game. When you're blowing them up from
- 55:24space, it doesn't count. Doesn't count so go around for a
- 55:28second. Did was anyone banned from
- 55:30playing a certain game from their parents?
- 55:35They were not allowed to play anything.
- 55:37Nothing. There, there were definitely
- 55:38games. They're definitely games that I
- 55:40wasn't allowed to play, but they were also ones that I never
- 55:42really got my hands on to begin with.
- 55:45OK, I guess. But GTA, I knew, like my parents
- 55:48knew about that. Oh yeah.
- 55:53But yeah, GTA, my parents knew about that one and they
- 55:56definitely weren't getting me GTA at that time.
- 56:00OK, OK, I'm just thinking because it sounds like it, it is
- 56:04very different. Like what you said Hobo is like
- 56:06my parents didn't understand video games.
- 56:08It's like dude, my parents didn't understand video games
- 56:10either. They didn't know shit.
- 56:12And I remember I went to GameStop when I was a kid, or
- 56:15maybe it was EB Games or whatever, you know, Funko Land
- 56:18or something like. That that time.
- 56:20And I went to get Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo GameCube.
- 56:25This was like when it was an exclusive to the GameCube.
- 56:28And the, the guy behind the counter was like, Are you sure
- 56:32you want your kid to play this? And I think I was 14, right?
- 56:34But it was rated M And I had a like, he's like, it's extremely
- 56:39violent. He's like, people are cutting
- 56:41each other's heads off with chainsaws.
- 56:43And I looked at my mom and she looked out at me just like,
- 56:47yeah, like, whatever. I assume it's a lost cause that
- 56:52no, that reminds me, I was working myself.
- 56:55I was working at GameStop back in the day when I was in college
- 56:58And I remember that, you know, this kid comes in, he's looking,
- 57:02he's probably like maybe like 8-8 or nine and he's with his
- 57:05mom and he gives me Grand Theft Auto 4, right.
- 57:10And I, you know, typically at the spiel and you know, I might
- 57:12just, I usually would just say like, Mammy, I'll you'll, you
- 57:14where this is rated mature. And the kid was like being a
- 57:19Dick. He was like, she's like, oh, and
- 57:21he's like, mom, it's fine. Like, you know, I, I play it
- 57:23with, with Billy or whatever all the time.
- 57:25I play with Billy and she's like, oh, well, like, it's not
- 57:28that bad, is it like gives that look and I'm like, I just looked
- 57:32at this. I looked at this fat little kid
- 57:33who was, you know, being a little Dick.
- 57:35And I'm like, ma'am, in this, in this game, your son can not only
- 57:38murder whoever he wants, but he can have sex with a prostitute
- 57:41and then murder her to get his cash back.
- 57:43He's like, she's like, oh, Oh, no.
- 57:50We are. Not getting that.
- 57:52And the kids like, mom, it's fine.
- 57:53Like I played at Billy's house. She's like, well, you're not
- 57:55anymore. She's like, thank you.
- 57:58They walk out and I'm like, yes. Hopefully one day we'll be able
- 58:04to murder the prostitutes to get our money back and Star Citizen
- 58:07if they really want to make it immersive.
- 58:10A man can dream. That was actually one of my
- 58:13other ideas for the the show is What rating should Star Citizen
- 58:16be? What?
- 58:19Are they going for? Yeah, it's not.
- 58:20Rated yet? Definitely seems to be mature
- 58:23right with all the sweat. And.
- 58:26The shooting of people. I, I think it, I think it
- 58:29depends on whether or not the chat is on or off.
- 58:32I think that changes their rating really.
- 58:34I mean. Global makes an AO game
- 58:36immediately. Yeah.
- 58:38I mean, outside of that, I don't see.
- 58:41I mean, there's no, there's no blood.
- 58:44So I mean when you shoot someone.
- 58:48A little. If you shoot someone without
- 58:51armor, is there blood? I can't.
- 58:53It's been so. Long.
- 58:54I think so. There's a little.
- 58:55I think when you get shot a couple times doesn't your screen
- 58:58go all red and splattery? True, but we can just tell the
- 59:03the kids that your armor is actually full of spaghetti.
- 59:07Yeah, you're just super stoned and your eyes are red.
- 59:10They've got a very big spaghetti policy there and the EE very
- 59:15expensive one. Honestly, if they, if, if any of
- 59:19the the, if anyone survived like Halo one, like voice chat, I
- 59:24think, I think that's kind of the benchmark, more or less.
- 59:29If you can survive Halo one, then voice chat, I, I think I
- 59:33think you'll be OK. And I don't think there's
- 59:35anything that. Really terrible person.
- 59:37Set that as a benchmark once as he was trying to threaten a
- 59:42minority group and a discord server.
- 59:44He was like snowflake I survived the Halo lobbies.
- 59:50I'm like, oh. My God bless.
- 59:53Me too. Me too man I survived.
- 59:55I'm still tea bagging people to this day in every game I play.
- 59:58You guys know that I do it in. Yeah, but yeah, but that's with
- 1:00:00love. I got him.
- 1:00:02Not always, not always. All right, look, guys, we got we
- 1:00:04got another caller here. This is a regular guy.
- 1:00:09But before we bring him up, we do have a word from our sponsor.
- 1:00:12Our sponsor is Cruise Lux here. Here goes our word from our
- 1:00:17sponsor. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 1:00:21That was not what we planned, but OK, let me go pull up the
- 1:00:23Cruise Lux. Here we go.

- 1:00:55there. I like your clone must be 20
- 1:00:59minutes or older. That's.
- 1:01:01Good, that was AI liked that. That was a solid commercial.
