Transcript
- 0:00All right, it is time for Episode 74.
- 0:04I am so stoked. I am.
- 0:06I wish I could have recorded all of our tests and conversation in
- 0:10the last 10 minutes because as I said, we're already besties.
- 0:14I am. I am so excited to introduce Big
- 0:18Adam, my next guest. Adam, thank you so much for
- 0:22being here. Thanks for having me on, I
- 0:25appreciate it. Of course, and before we we
- 0:28start yapping, I actually have to get my intro together right.
- 0:33I got to introduce the actual podcast.
- 0:36So welcome if you're new here. This is the Adventures and
- 0:40Adversity podcast, not Adventures and Babysitting.
- 0:44If you were born in the 70s or 80s, that was a great movie.
- 0:48Adventures and Adversity is a podcast where we have real
- 0:51people who come and tell true stories about how they have
- 0:56gotten through or currently getting through life's
- 1:00adversity. So I think, I'm pretty sure,
- 1:04Adam, I'm pretty sure that you encounter adversity in your job.
- 1:09And I'm pretty sure you've, you know, have a few stories about
- 1:13life. Yeah.
- 1:14That's that's basically the overall view of my job is
- 1:18adversity and conflict avoidance, both of both in the
- 1:24industry professionally and just in life overall.
- 1:29Yeah, you are like, I feel like we're going to get into what you
- 1:32do, but as a little preview, you're like adversity avoidance,
- 1:37security. And neutralization when need be.
- 1:40Unfortunately, that's part of it too you.
- 1:42Neutralize adversity. Prevent adversity.
- 1:46Neutralize it. You're always you're scanning as
- 1:50a protection services specialist, is that correct?
- 1:53Yes, executive protection specialist.
- 1:55Executive protection specialist. That's so badass.
- 2:00I'm sorry. I'm sure you hear that all the
- 2:01time. But I was like when you when you
- 2:05started following because we got connected through Jack, My
- 2:08producer shot out Jack. I was like, I I saw your profile
- 2:13and I was like, damn, that's badass.
- 2:17I was just like, I have to talk to him.
- 2:20Immediately, I do glam it. I do glam it up a little bit,
- 2:23You know what I mean? It's got to look, it's got to be
- 2:25able to play. But it's, it's, it's, it's, it's
- 2:28a, a purpose that I've realized over years.
- 2:32And turning it into a profession is, is a, is truly a blessing.
- 2:36It's a it's what you do in all seriousness is incredible to me.
- 2:42And the reason I believe that is like the amount of courage, I
- 2:47would say like presence of mind, decision making, self-control.
- 2:54What is it self regulation? I mean, there's so.
- 2:57I don't even know situational awareness, all these kind of
- 3:01things that it it, it's basically, it's basically trying
- 3:06to control everything, fully aware that everything is out of
- 3:10control. That's what it.
- 3:12Oh. My gosh, yeah, that that's very
- 3:16challenging, but probably incredibly rewarding.
- 3:22It, it is and, and again it when you decide what your purpose is
- 3:26in life, it makes things a lot easier.
- 3:28And the fact that I have a profession where I can turn that
- 3:30into a money making thing and a building thing and getting
- 3:35people because I like to teach the clients as well.
- 3:39The little tidbits I have. Like if I do something after
- 3:42after I do it, I'll be like, I did that because of this.
- 3:45So I want you to be aware that that's why that happened.
- 3:48So it's not like I'm just there trying to to flex.
- 3:50It's like this is what I saw. I want you to understand what I
- 3:54saw and why we did that. It's now done.
- 3:57But that's something that maybe you can put into your lifestyle
- 4:01that can be avoided without me having to tell you.
- 4:04And again, I'll tell you all day and listen, it's my job.
- 4:07But, but I'm going to explain to you why, because again, you're
- 4:12not with your clients their whole lives.
- 4:14And again, being a protector is, is a great thing.
- 4:19It's, it's very defensive. It's a defensive type stance.
- 4:23Then there's people that are aggressors or who are offensive
- 4:26and go after things. We're there to kind of let you
- 4:28live your life and say no, no, no, that's the bad alley.
- 4:32Don't go down that alley. Like, if you want to be a tough
- 4:34guy and you're looking for a problem, go get him.
- 4:37That's the alley. Let's not go there.
- 4:39Wow. It's such an interesting,
- 4:43interesting take on it. And I want to dive into
- 4:46everything. And I'm just, I mean, like, you
- 4:48have no idea how many questions I have.
- 4:50And I was telling my husband too, I'm like, what questions do
- 4:53you have? And he's like, OK, ask him this.
- 4:54I I want to know this. And I'm like, I'm like, I want
- 4:56to know that. That's cool.
- 4:58I don't know that too. Well, I'm here for, I'm here for
- 5:02it all, and I'm just really grateful to be here, so we're
- 5:04good. You've you've seen my stories.
- 5:06I have yes, I'm very the 2026 is unfiltered, very hyper and
- 5:15unapologetic about how excited I get about everything my guests
- 5:18do. I'm like tell me every.
- 5:19The way it should be. The way it should be.
- 5:21Yeah, OK. What?
- 5:23Now that we've like teased the awesomeness and the coolness and
- 5:27the courage of your profession, I want to rewind just a little
- 5:31bit to before Adam was Big Adam professional and on Instagram
- 5:39before you were a executive protection specialist before all
- 5:43of you know, like you said, you're blessed to turn what you
- 5:47feel your purposes into a career.
- 5:52Take me back to to Jersey life. You're from Jersey.
- 5:56Shout out to the. Jersey, yeah, absolutely, very
- 5:59Jersey. And.
- 5:59And. And again, I was blessed to be
- 6:02about 10 minutes outside New York City, so it was OK, the
- 6:06suburbs, but we were real close to the city that doesn't sleep
- 6:09so but yeah, so I'm one of I'm one of four.
- 6:13I have an older sister than me, than the younger sister and
- 6:15younger brother and I can say this without any hesitation.
- 6:20My parents are amazing. Like could not have done better.
- 6:26Great people, solid people, great parents, definitely did
- 6:31everything they could for us and and it was everything and more
- 6:35that we could have asked. Now me, I took an easy life and
- 6:41tried to make it as rough as possible.
- 6:45All all the kids were into athletics and stuff like that.
- 6:48We all went to Catholic school, that kind of stuff.
- 6:50But we all kind of spread out our own ways.
- 6:53But I was always, I was. I played football from first
- 6:58grade all the way through college.
- 7:00And. I was in offensive alignment
- 7:04like I I back when you could play football.
- 7:08We had peewees and then I went all the way through high school,
- 7:12went to a Division Two school up in Boston.
- 7:14Yeah, played up there. Where'd you go in Boston?
- 7:19Curry College, which is in Milton, Mass, which is about 20
- 7:22minutes outside of Boston. So I did a lot of work in Boston
- 7:25while I was up there and grade school.
- 7:27Good people. And, and I'm a big advocate of
- 7:30athletics for a lot of reasons. A keeps you busy, keeps you
- 7:34physically fit, but it also gives you, so I was an offensive
- 7:38lineman. We're the guys that block for
- 7:40all the superstars and it fit right into my purpose, which is
- 7:43protected so. There it.
- 7:47Is since I was young, I always had that and I grew up my mom's
- 7:51Irish, my dad's Sicilian. We were always super, super,
- 7:54super protective and my sisters probably didn't like it as much
- 7:58as they. And then it sounds it was I was
- 8:01a little bit of a overbearing older brother.
- 8:05They're like, they're like, I like this guy.
- 8:08Can you please not scare him? Yeah, 100%.
- 8:11And my younger sister got the wrath of it.
- 8:13My oldest sister was older than me, so she got away with a
- 8:15little bit, but my younger sister always had seven or eight
- 8:19guys looking like me keeping an eye on her.
- 8:21And I'm sure it made it a little more difficult than it needed to
- 8:24be, but she was also safe so. Should right?
- 8:27Absolutely, I don't see the problem with it.
- 8:29Apparently I've done something. Problem.
- 8:32Absolutely. So you're OK?
- 8:35That literally makes so much sense that you were protecting
- 8:39the quarterback because your job, my husband's a football nut
- 8:42and I know enough here. I think I can manage offense.
- 8:46I mean, your sole job as an offensive lineman is to is it to
- 8:50give the quarterback plenty of time to throw the ball and
- 8:52protect? Well, it's, it's whoever has the
- 8:55ball, whoever has whoever has the ball.
- 8:58So if it's a running back, we're blocking for the running back.
- 9:00If it's a wide receiver running, that's a field of block for
- 9:03them. But basically it's protection
- 9:05for whoever has the ball. Got it.
- 9:07And, and, and it's offensive guys are again.
- 9:10So the, the old saying is offensive players are a little
- 9:13bit more smart and smart in the way that they know the play so
- 9:17they can make the adjustments. They know what's going on.
- 9:20Defensive are a little bit more aggressive because they have to
- 9:23adjust. So again, same thing like I know
- 9:27what's going on so I can make adjustments to make that person
- 9:30safe. Now the the threat level is
- 9:34actually the defensive side of it, which doesn't really know
- 9:37what's going on, is willing to do whatever they can to to to
- 9:40stop what's going on. It's it's such a direct
- 9:44correlation to fascinating to me because football and I got a
- 9:49college football Tennessee husband.
- 9:51Okay, so like and then Buffalo Bills dad.
- 9:55So like I understand the heart and passion and Ryan's always
- 9:59like there's a lot of strategy. Like it's very, it's really if
- 10:04you're an uneducated football person, you're like, it's not
- 10:07just like. Moving around, Yeah, yeah.
- 10:09It's a lot of strategy. When you talk to guys that are
- 10:12really into it, like they're knowing down and down in
- 10:15distance, knowing what the other defense is playing.
- 10:18Because you'll see for anybody who's not really into football
- 10:21when they're when they're making the adjustments prior to the
- 10:24snap, how much thought and how much they've analyzed what's
- 10:30going on to make adjustments to something that was already very
- 10:33technical and they're doing it right before the ball goes off.
- 10:38And that's the difference between good teams and bad
- 10:40teams. The ones that they can make,
- 10:41that they have something called football IQ and it's actually a
- 10:45part of drafting people. What's their football IQ?
- 10:48How can they make the adjustments on the field?
- 10:51How can they see things, see patterns and and make
- 10:54adjustments for it? That's part of it.
- 10:56Because it's great to be good and it's great to be fast and
- 10:58it's great to be big. But if you don't know what
- 11:01you're doing out there, you're just, you're wandering in the,
- 11:03you're wandering in the Prairie. Brilliant, brilliant.
- 11:07And that's why you you spend all the time studying film and stats
- 11:12and so much strategy. Like Ryan, my husband says it's
- 11:16like chess with pads or a. 100%. It's like.
- 11:20That's a really good, that's a really good parallel.
- 11:23I like that. And I was like, oh.
- 11:26Yeah. OK, Yeah, OK.
- 11:29And then you look. At that makes sense.
- 11:31Yeah, I'm like that. Makes sense, You're right.
- 11:34Very, very cool. And just to share a commonality,
- 11:37you said a few things. East Coast, you said you're
- 11:40Irish, Italian. Same.
- 11:43Very nice classic. I love it with.
- 11:46A with a sprinkle of South African.
- 11:48Hey listen, it's good to have a sprinkle.
- 11:50You got you can't just do the Irish Italian.
- 11:53It's not, it's not sustainable. I can't even say Italian, I have
- 11:56to say Sicilian or my dad gets mad.
- 11:57So there you go. Yes, well, I knew immediately
- 12:00when we started talking. I'm like, OK, yeah, there's
- 12:03some, there's some common roots here because like, sorry, I.
- 12:06Actually have to like almost. So I'm in the West Coast now I'm
- 12:09in Arizona and I almost have to apologize for it out here.
- 12:13So just, and it's not like a like a brag.
- 12:16It's like, but I'm going to be sarcastic.
- 12:18So just know that it's coming. Know that be aware that I'm
- 12:23joking before I say. And if I'm not joking, I'm going
- 12:26to stop talking so you realize that I'm not joking anymore.
- 12:29Exactly. Totally.
- 12:31No, we got it. You know, I'm in California and
- 12:33we got to bring some East Coast, you know, a little old over here
- 12:38because as I am very now outspoken on my podcast, I just
- 12:43don't care if you like it or not.
- 12:46I respectfully decline to care, but I allow you to to dislike
- 12:52anything I say. Because again, it comes from a
- 12:54place of good intention that, and that's the thing, like we
- 12:58get lost in the delivery aspect of it.
- 13:00Sometimes if a person's a good person, they they might come off
- 13:04a little brash or something like that.
- 13:05But if the attention's pure, then it's a good thing.
- 13:08Yes, 100 percent, 100%. So, so we got a, we're bringing
- 13:12a little East Coast to the West Coast.
- 13:15Absolutely. And they need it and they needed
- 13:17it. They.
- 13:17Need it? Don't even get me started on
- 13:19California. That's I.
- 13:21Might, yeah. This will be a four part podcast
- 13:25at that point. I might get very animated and
- 13:28very irritated. Fair.
- 13:31Understandable. But.
- 13:34Then. We look in New York and we say
- 13:35the same thing a little bit. It's like, hey guys, what
- 13:38happened? I'm.
- 13:39Like. No.
- 13:40When did we lose it? So I'll text like Jack and I'll
- 13:44be like, and he's like, I know I'm like, damn.
- 13:47It it's. What?
- 13:50Is nobody watching? Like, have we just given up?
- 13:54I'm. Like guys, guys, we got to we
- 13:57got to talk to each other and take a breath here a. 100%.
- 14:00Hence the podcast, right? And I hope and welcome anyone
- 14:04with differing opinions if they're like, this girl is like
- 14:07out of her mind, come on the podcast and let's like, let's
- 14:11prove me wrong, like we were talking.
- 14:14But that's the beauty of it. Like, like, like we said it, it,
- 14:17it's, I think this is a big part of what we've lost.
- 14:20I, I think the dynamic of conversation and the dynamic of
- 14:26being able to sort stuff out without it being like ill
- 14:31willed, Like, like I said before, I've been proven wrong
- 14:36in life more times than I'd like to count.
- 14:39But you can't just tell me I'm wrong, tell me why I'm wrong.
- 14:43And maybe you don't see it the way I see it.
- 14:45Maybe I don't see it the way you see it, but maybe there's a
- 14:48commonality in there that could be that little ground that we we
- 14:52save ourselves on and could say, all right, listen, we agree on
- 14:55this. Why do you see it that way and
- 14:57why do I see it this way? Well, you know, I had this
- 15:00experience. Oh well, that makes sense.
- 15:04Yes. Because again, we don't know
- 15:06where we're not cookie cutters. The, The beauty of being a human
- 15:11is you're an individual and the importance of it is to find what
- 15:17you, what value you bringing. I'm not not talking monetarily,
- 15:21I'm talking how do you look at things and what you're good at
- 15:24and all this other stuff. I, I think that we've all tried
- 15:28to mimic people and that has absolutely destroyed the ability
- 15:33to be an individual and we're losing out on great people.
- 15:37We're just trying to be like somebody else.
- 15:40Yes, Hallelujah to all of that, Julian Jack.
- 15:48That's a mic drop moment right there.
- 15:49True. Though, Because you know, it's a
- 15:52beautiful thing and like, I know I'm see, I'm so like ADHD all
- 15:55over the place, but you're and I want to get back to your life
- 15:59and your career. But it's so important because I
- 16:01think why I was so excited to have you on the podcast is
- 16:05because like, I think you are out there seeing reality in
- 16:12situations that are high pressure, where there's
- 16:15potentially disagreement and potential conflict, and your
- 16:20whole goal is to deescalate and prevent.
- 16:23But you're also wanting to let your client enjoy life.
- 16:28People enjoy life with a respectful boundary.
- 16:31Right. Absolutely like we.
- 16:33Can all and, and again for me, for me it's, it's I've been in
- 16:36the industry for 23 years. When you start out, you, you
- 16:40take the jobs you can get you, you, you do the work that you
- 16:43can get. You build a, build a reputation.
- 16:47You learn what you want to deal with and what you don't want to
- 16:49deal with. And I'm at the point now where
- 16:51if somebody doesn't tie in with my belief systems or they act a
- 16:55certain way, I have a harder time validating, protecting it.
- 17:01I'm. Sure.
- 17:04Because like again, with the influencer phase that we're
- 17:07going through, you, you, you'll see a lot of the stuff that goes
- 17:10on the transition of what wealth and power used to be and what it
- 17:16is now. It's almost unrecognizable.
- 17:19And again, I'm blessed. I'm, I'm older, like I got to
- 17:23see it at its purest form and, and the transition of it, of
- 17:26course everything changes, but I feel like the only thing that's
- 17:30changing is, is the stuff that we should have kept, like our
- 17:33foundational skills, our foundational values, what we
- 17:36found important, what we were willing to stand for has gone to
- 17:40the wayside. And now we're celebrating stuff
- 17:43that I, I don't understand and I don't really want to understand
- 17:48like, because when you look at what its value is, a lot of
- 17:52times it's either fame or monetary.
- 17:54And I'm not really down with that.
- 17:57Like if you stand for something or you're a good person, or if
- 18:00you have something to say, you have the right to say and you
- 18:02have the right to be protected. But again, now with the
- 18:06influencer phase that we go through, it's more how much
- 18:09chaos can I cause? Because I'm not really saying
- 18:13anything. So if I look exciting, it'll
- 18:16sell as exciting. Because if you, if you watch a
- 18:19lot of the, and like I said to you before, these are the kind
- 18:22of podcasts that should be celebrated because you watch the
- 18:25other ones and it's like these people have nothing to say and
- 18:31they're not listen, there's levels of intelligence.
- 18:34But if you're just trying to be shock value and you're just
- 18:37trying to celebrate the newest thing or this or that, what
- 18:42happens when that goes away? What, what do you stand for?
- 18:45What, what is your, what is your foundational skill set that made
- 18:52you famous? Oh, well, you know, I walk
- 18:55around the mall and I do pranks again.
- 18:57The prank thing I'll go off on forever because that stuff here,
- 19:00it takes me to death. But but the, but the reaction
- 19:04videos and stuff like that, I, I, it gives me odds.
- 19:07It really does. It gives me absolute heartburn
- 19:10watching what these kids get away with.
- 19:12Yeah, I sit there and I have this like inner monologue where
- 19:15I'm like, I think I've let my client take a slap on that one.
- 19:18I think I wouldn't let him get hurt her, but maybe a little
- 19:21slap would remind him that that's not acceptable in in
- 19:24today's society. Yep, so thank well and I I
- 19:28really appreciate that you find that you find this podcast like
- 19:34Subs. What's a good word?
- 19:35Like sub substance right? Like right?
- 19:38Because it's it's valuable. It's valuable to something that
- 19:42we are missing because what we're doing is we found
- 19:45something that's successful, like all the prank stuff and
- 19:49then look at the car I have and all this other stuff like, and
- 19:52we put all of our eggs into that basket.
- 19:55And that's why we don't know what we stand for anymore
- 19:57because we're just chasing the newest fad.
- 20:00How about we bring it? How about we bring it back to,
- 20:02to faith and to being good people and to community.
- 20:07It's a real community, not the lights and the and the, you
- 20:12know, the RE shares and stuff like that.
- 20:16Well, there's so many people in this world, and if you find
- 20:19yours, you're blessed. But if you're trying to be
- 20:22somebody you're not, you're never going to find your people
- 20:26because you don't know who you are.
- 20:30It's so clear to me, that statement and I understand the
- 20:34power of it. And like once you start, I'm
- 20:37even just now starting to find this is a whole thread we're
- 20:41going to go on my identity price, right?
- 20:44Like. Absolutely so.
- 20:45I'm like, whoa, life. OK, what?
- 20:49Whoa. That now I'm like, that's what
- 20:51matters to me versus my online persona or my, you know, what
- 20:57people think of my post and what if people think I'm saying too
- 21:01much about that? If you really tone it down on
- 21:04that and turn no my, I'm following who I'm called to be
- 21:08and like, not everyone's going to like that.
- 21:11Well, and and again, let me make life real simple.
- 21:13There's one judge. There's one judge.
- 21:16Yes, and it. And it ain't us.
- 21:20And, and, and it's, it's not the people that are talking to you
- 21:22either. Like it's, it's, again, it's
- 21:25super cliche and it's, you know, it's, it's put God first and
- 21:29everything else to sort itself out.
- 21:31When you put God first, the noise around you actually quiets
- 21:36because you realize that that noise isn't coming from what
- 21:40truly matters. There's one phone call that we
- 21:43should be on at all times and it's with him.
- 21:47And once you get that down, let me let me be brutally honest.
- 21:52It doesn't make life perfect and it doesn't make it easy, but it
- 21:55makes it clear. And once you get that clarity,
- 21:59everything else is manageable. Because once you stop caring
- 22:03about all the nonsense and start realizing that we were given the
- 22:07gift of life by by a creation and we owe it all to him and we
- 22:14were put here for a reason that is again, it sounds like, but
- 22:21that is life changing. It's.
- 22:25Everything. Change is everything, and it
- 22:27does make it a lot more simple when you actually surrender to
- 22:31it. That is so good and I'm so glad
- 22:35you went into that because I want to go into now when you are
- 22:40learning football and you're growing up jersey and you're
- 22:43protecting. Did you know God the way you
- 22:47know God now? Oh.
- 22:49No, no, no. I, I, I, I'm going to tell you
- 22:53God was a group to me. There's Christians, there's
- 22:56Catholics, there's Judaism, There's all something.
- 22:59We were on the. Catholic.
- 23:01Jesus side. We got you.
- 23:03We're on the Jesus side. Yep, but it, it was going
- 23:06through the, you know, the baptism and then the communion
- 23:08and then the confirmation. Yep.
- 23:10And it was just steps to be like, Oh, you're, you're an
- 23:12adult then. Yep.
- 23:14I I knew him, but I didn't know him.
- 23:18I knew of him. How about that?
- 23:20We'll put it this way. I knew of him, but I didn't know
- 23:22him. You.
- 23:23You. Yeah, you knew he was around,
- 23:25you just didn't know a. 100% I knew that he was our quarterback
- 23:28and we were rooting for the team like, but again, I didn't really
- 23:30know, know what it stands for because again, when you're
- 23:33younger coming up in it, it's the rules.
- 23:37It's not the love and it's not the grace and it's not the
- 23:40faith. It's here's what you got to do
- 23:43to get that. And I'm going to tell you now, a
- 23:46lot of that stuff is not correct because that's not how he loves
- 23:50greed. That's not how he loves.
- 23:54So again, I grew up Catholic school, all this other stuff
- 23:57doing the stay, you know, all the things.
- 23:59I didn't find God until I found adversity.
- 24:02I didn't find God until I found conflict.
- 24:04I didn't find God until I found the darkest part of my life,
- 24:10because that's when you're going to find the real thing.
- 24:15That's AT shirt. They get it up 4.
- 24:20Actually because. Nobody makes T-shirts in my.
- 24:22House 30%. Let's partner Jack, let's talk.
- 24:28I didn't find God until I found adversity or Oh, OK, sorry I had
- 24:35to just that just blew my mind. OK, so tell me about it.
- 24:40I just interrupted you for no reason.
- 24:42No, it's it's I'm I'm easy. OK, but for for again when he is
- 24:50just a theory. Yes.
- 24:53You don't connect with him because again, you're trying to
- 24:56find purpose. You're trying to find your
- 24:57friends, you're trying to find what you want to do.
- 24:59Where I'm going to go to college, what I'm going to do as
- 25:01a job, what I'm going to, and all that stuff is, I guess,
- 25:03important with the natural societal situation we have.
- 25:10But I wish I'd found him earlier.
- 25:14But again, I wouldn't change it for the world because the, the,
- 25:17the part where I met him in my life where you're trying to
- 25:20figure out who you are. And again, I was always a
- 25:23football player and I ran clubs, security and stuff like that.
- 25:27And once you realize all the glitz in the gland and the
- 25:31bottles and the money and the cars and the clubs, it's, it's,
- 25:35it's a rotational thing. It just keeps going and there's
- 25:38nothing you're getting out of it.
- 25:39Sure, people make money. Sure people.
- 25:41But what, what's your real gain from it?
- 25:44You're just trying to, at the end of the day, you're trying to
- 25:48impress other people or find your people or find you this or
- 25:53find you that. I found out real quick that the
- 25:57lights and the glitter and the glam, they shut off at 4:00 AM
- 26:00and then the world keeps going. So who are you then?
- 26:04Who? Who are you at 4:30 after the
- 26:06club's over? And that's what it's about.
- 26:11And again, my, the industry, I've chosen my profession, I'm
- 26:16around celebrities, I'm around ultra wealthy, I'm around all
- 26:20types of people. And I'm going to tell you that
- 26:23the one thing that connects me to who I am always is God.
- 26:28And I can adjust to the people around me knowing that I'm doing
- 26:32right by them because that's why God put me here, because there's
- 26:36some people you deal with you like this is, listen, you have a
- 26:39purpose. This is your purpose.
- 26:41And if it was easy, everybody would do it.
- 26:43Trust me, this is not an industry that everybody can do
- 26:47because there is, again, like we said before, once you find your
- 26:50why, your how becomes manageable.
- 26:52But without that, why you're going to you're going to take a
- 26:55step off the path a lot earlier in life.
- 26:58That's what keep the why keeps you going when the shit hits the
- 27:02fan. Right when when you're in a
- 27:05situation, you almost say to yourself, what am I doing here?
- 27:09What maybe my parents are right. I should have been an artist.
- 27:13Maybe I should have been an artist.
- 27:14But I mean. God's like you're, you're doing
- 27:17good. You're doing.
- 27:17Good. You're doing good.
- 27:18Yeah. Yeah.
- 27:19I put you there for a reason. I made you 62300 and 40 lbs for
- 27:22a reason. But you.
- 27:23You. You.
- 27:24You know what? And honestly, I'm sure you have
- 27:29found yourself in well and back to the faith thing, was there a
- 27:32moment where was there a moment where it started to change for
- 27:37you? Not, not necessarily a moment.
- 27:41I think that life gets away from you.
- 27:43I think that life gets away from you.
- 27:45And, and again, it's one of those things where you just do 1
- 27:50little thing and then it's 2 little things and then it's 3
- 27:52little things. And then you start to, because
- 27:55our society will allow it, you start to normalize those
- 28:00indiscretions because there's other people doing it.
- 28:03So why? Why can't I?
- 28:05They seem to be good people. Like what?
- 28:07And, and, and once you get back to it, and that's kind of what
- 28:13brought me back to, there's only one judge.
- 28:16There's only one judge. So if everybody else is doing
- 28:18this and he doesn't agree with it, guess what?
- 28:22It's wrong. It's wrong.
- 28:24It's still wrong. Because if I get up there and he
- 28:27goes, what was that? And you go, everybody else is
- 28:30doing it. He's like, I'm talking to you,
- 28:33I'm talking to you. Were you strong enough to do the
- 28:36right thing? Because I gave you strength and
- 28:38I gave you adversity and I gave you conflict to see if you could
- 28:42overcome it, not to punish you. And that's the thing.
- 28:45It's not adversity and conflict, It's not punishment.
- 28:49It's not, it's not. It's see if you could overcome
- 28:53it dealing with adversity. Because this world is not
- 28:57simple. So you have to build a skill set
- 29:01up how to accomplish getting over those small things because
- 29:06once it starts to get away from you, it's harder to come back.
- 29:10And by the way, that's the what we were talking about before.
- 29:12That's the surrender part. Because once you, once you're
- 29:16absolutely in a free fall, stop grabbing for the walls.
- 29:20Just say I surrender like I, I, I need you.
- 29:24I need I know that you are the only thing that can fix me right
- 29:27now. Yeah, and what it's so beautiful
- 29:30and, and for someone that's listening that that's like, OK,
- 29:34I, I'm ready for this. I, I want to get to know what,
- 29:38what Adam is talking about. Whatever it is, I want to get to
- 29:40know it. What does surrender look like
- 29:43you date to you day-to-day? For me, it's, it's a lot of it
- 29:49is I wake up and I pray and it's, it's a, you have this, you
- 29:54have this weird thing in your mind about like I get on my
- 29:57knees next to my bed. No, I take a walk every morning
- 30:00and I talk to him. It's it's not about anything
- 30:04else. But thanks.
- 30:07Like legitimately, today's going to be a rough day.
- 30:08You're going to get me through it.
- 30:09But thank you for yesterday. Thank you for the day I have
- 30:15covered because because again, the old saying is God made
- 30:18yesterday happen. Faith's going to make today
- 30:20happen and the faith in God is going to get me through today.
- 30:24And once you can, it's, it's a weird mindset, but, but, and it
- 30:29wasn't easy. But once you feel it for the
- 30:33first time, it's a lot easier to get back there.
- 30:35It's a lot easier to get back there because you can say to
- 30:39yourself, it's going to be OK, like today was a bad day, but
- 30:43you want to know something somebody didn't have today
- 30:45somebody. And, and, and that's the
- 30:50perspective of that is what brings it back.
- 30:54The perspective of today is a blessing.
- 30:57If you get hit in the shin for five straight hours with a
- 31:00skateboard, it's still a better day than somebody who didn't
- 31:03wake up. And that's the blessing that it
- 31:05is. And, and, and again, taking out
- 31:10of it, I think a lot of us lose it on comparing ourselves to
- 31:16others. We're all on our own journeys
- 31:19and we all have our own responsibilities and purposes
- 31:21and we all have our own lessons. So something that you take for
- 31:25granted, somebody else doesn't. And I'm going to tell you from a
- 31:29perspective of the inside of dealing with celebrities and the
- 31:32wealthy and stuff like that, they're not happy.
- 31:35A lot of them aren't happy because they've glorified the
- 31:40material. I met, I meet, so I've been on
- 31:45tour a couple times with a couple artists.
- 31:47The greatest people I've talked to are the roadies and the guys
- 31:50that put the stuff up because they just, they, they're good,
- 31:53solid, hard working people that are just, they know what they're
- 31:57there for and they're not striving to be seen.
- 31:59They're not striving to be. I learned a long time ago just
- 32:04to have conversations with people.
- 32:05First of all, people don't feel seen or heard.
- 32:08So having a conversation with somebody who doesn't feel that
- 32:10way and genuinely being interested takes you that much
- 32:14effort and brings that much fate back into people because they
- 32:22feel seen. People we we're in a we're in a
- 32:27day and age where the camera is everywhere but nobody feels
- 32:30seen. Another T-shirt.
- 32:35You have a weird level action line.
- 32:41We're doing a fashion. 100%. Adventures in adversity fashion
- 32:47show quotes from the guests and I have private security.
- 32:53I'm there. I'm 100% there.
- 32:55Jack's doing the DJ. You have my 100.
- 32:57Percent. It's going to be a light show
- 32:58like none you've ever seen. I'm like squirrel.
- 33:03I agree. Focus.
- 33:04But again, these little these little tidbits sound like
- 33:07miraculously enlightened. It's so clear.
- 33:10It's so clear and you get the right mindset.
- 33:13It's so clear. You know, you talked about
- 33:16praying and taking a walk, two things that I have that has
- 33:21literally changed my life in the last year.
- 33:25Connecting with God on a walk with my dog, listening to
- 33:29worship music while I walk. Sometimes I'm crying out of
- 33:33happiness being like. It'll get it.
- 33:35It'll and by the way, it'll get you.
- 33:37It'll get you. Oh, you, you know how you when
- 33:39you're driving sometimes and you forget you're driving, when you
- 33:43hit that moment, you'll be two miles down the road and be like,
- 33:46how did I get here? Because there is that purity of
- 33:48the moment. It's literally I would recommend
- 33:53and like literally based on what you said in my own experience as
- 33:56a baby Christian growing up Catholic.
- 33:59I'm Catholic. I'm Catholic but I was I got
- 34:03baptized on November 4th as like by the way I used to think all
- 34:07y'all are crazy doing this born again thing and I'm like hi I'm
- 34:11bored again. Yeah, yeah.
- 34:13I'm like, but it's beautiful. It's beautiful.
- 34:15Or knock it till you try it. I, I'm like I, I have been
- 34:18proven wrong. It is super cool and amazing and
- 34:21I, I highly recommend just investigating church and all of
- 34:26that. But I'm rambling.
- 34:28What I meant to say is the, the morning walk and the morning
- 34:32just like, hey God, what's up? You don't even have to, like,
- 34:35say a prayer or like a scripture.
- 34:38You just go, hey, what's up? Like, sometimes I'm like, I
- 34:40don't, you know, I don't really know how to pray, but I think
- 34:42some walk in. It's beautiful.
- 34:43Thank you for water. Thanks for this log.
- 34:47Glad I have a job. Cool.
- 34:50Yeah. And then that that can be.
- 34:51It I I get to take this walk, I get to take this walk today.
- 34:55I get to take this walk today. And then sometimes it's, Oh my
- 35:00gosh, this thing is on my mind. I'm freaking out.
- 35:02Like, OK, what do I do? Do I confront?
- 35:04And then sometimes you're like working out a specific problem.
- 35:07But a lot of times I will say I'm like in awe.
- 35:11I'm in awe of life. If you stop the noise, if you
- 35:17stop the noise and you just pay attention, the amount of stuff
- 35:23that that goes on in our lives, something as stupid as a
- 35:27squirrel running around or playing with something and you
- 35:29sit there and you find yourself distracted by it.
- 35:32And then you're like, but I'll spend $150.00 to go to a club
- 35:35tonight. I could.
- 35:35I'm more entertained by the squirrel because first of all,
- 35:40it's the purest, most authentic, genuine thing in the world.
- 35:44He's just living his life. And then I got to go be somebody
- 35:47else at the club tonight and I got to pretend like the squirrel
- 35:50doesn't care. Like, but that's the small parts
- 35:52of it. That's the small parts of it.
- 35:54It's amazing. I I literally look forward to my
- 35:58walk to just like check. It's my check in with God, like
- 36:02where am I at? And then anything that I know
- 36:04I'm not living right will come up right like so it's like a
- 36:08gentle nut just where God's like so you still going to do that or
- 36:13you ready to kind of like confront that?
- 36:15Do you? Do you?
- 36:16Think about that a little bit. Because I can help you when
- 36:18you're ready. I'm just, I'm waiting if you
- 36:19want to go ahead and change that because you know you need to.
- 36:23And again, he's giving me, he's giving you your, your
- 36:25opportunity to do so. He, he's kind of like, again,
- 36:29these are, these are little challenges.
- 36:30They're not like the little test that he gives us aren't
- 36:34punishment. They're like, let me, let me
- 36:38figure out who you are through these little challenges and
- 36:42things you have to overcome. And once you realize that you
- 36:45can overcome them, the bigger stuff becomes manageable.
- 36:50Amazing, amazing. OK, all right, I'm trying to not
- 36:54be like squirrel, squirrel, but because I'm like, all right,
- 36:57you're on. I I forget, I'm recording that.
- 36:59I just forgot we were on a podcast.
- 37:02Everyone's like, you're dumb. So you grew up in New Jersey.
- 37:07You are protecting on the field from a young age.
- 37:12You're protecting your siblings, your two sisters.
- 37:15You're growing up, you know, then you realize.
- 37:20Tell me about when when you made and then you you're connected to
- 37:24God, which is obviously gotten you where you get today.
- 37:29Was there a moment or was there a, do you remember like your
- 37:33first security protection job, like your?
- 37:361st. Or was it?
- 37:37Yeah, I actually so So when I graduated college, I graduated
- 37:42with a criminal justice major. And by the way, the most
- 37:45important part of it was a psychology minor, which makes
- 37:48life a million times easier because once you start to learn
- 37:50how people are and how they think, my job especially
- 37:56figuring out mannerism. Mannerisms, wow, we're going to
- 38:00edit that out, figuring out how people work and physics,
- 38:08physical cues and stuff like that.
- 38:10That that really helped me out. But when I came back,
- 38:14shockingly, it was I graduated in 2001.
- 38:17So when I came home from college, 911 happened.
- 38:22So I was going to get into the private security industry.
- 38:27And when that happened, I'm now sitting in interview rooms with
- 38:32an ex Lieutenant from Brooklyn, the CIA guy, because everybody
- 38:36went to the private sector trying to make, you know, trying
- 38:39to get into positions where they can help and stuff like that.
- 38:43So I was right out of college. I wasn't getting those shots.
- 38:46So I got into to to running security clubs.
- 38:49OK, same, same thing, a little bit less rewarding.
- 38:54But and, and you asked me where God came into my life like that.
- 38:57I think that's what it was because I was around nonsensical
- 39:02bar club life and, and kind of saw how many people just kind of
- 39:09wander through life. Like literally, like, literally
- 39:13like I got to, you know, they're at the club every Friday and
- 39:16Saturday and you just go like, like, what are we celebrating?
- 39:19Like what, what have you done? Like you made money and then you
- 39:22just went and spent it like, so that's the cycle.
- 39:24Like what are you, what are you giving back?
- 39:27And you know, it's, it's, it's, I'm sure, you know, in New York,
- 39:32New Jersey, and, and when I was going to school in Boston, these
- 39:35are very violent jobs because that area, they don't talk about
- 39:40it. They they don't, people.
- 39:41Get wasted sports vitality. 100%.
- 39:46I mean, I've East Coast as well, like, like, not like a shrinking
- 39:49Violet, you know, right. Now, if you say something, you
- 39:52better mean it because there there's going to be a
- 39:54repercussion to it. So just seeing, you know, the
- 40:02darker side of life, it looks like it's a bright, shiny side
- 40:05of life. But to be honest with you, it's
- 40:06a distraction. And just the pure violence of
- 40:10it, watching relationships fall apart, watching all these
- 40:15things, how people move and and again, they quantify it or they
- 40:21normalize it through everybody else's.
- 40:24Look, there's 500 people here. Yeah.
- 40:27But that's, and that's where I, I, I kind of took a step back
- 40:32and went, what do I, what means something to me?
- 40:36Who am I? And once you figure that out,
- 40:38it's a little different, but I'm going to tell you it's and for
- 40:41anybody listening, it's not an easy journey.
- 40:43It's it took me about 3 solid years to be fully into the point
- 40:47where I knew who I was. And I think that comes from
- 40:51dealing with adversity, dealing with conflict, testing yourself
- 40:54and truly seeing, you know, there's the old saying, find out
- 40:59what you would die for and go live for it.
- 41:01That's a. Good one.
- 41:04Because what what matters to you?
- 41:08If it truly doesn't matter to you what other people think you,
- 41:10you might want to have a sit down with yourself and say why,
- 41:14why, why, why does that matter to me?
- 41:16Was I not like when I was a young guy?
- 41:19Do I know that I don't have a lot of substance and I don't
- 41:21want to work on being a better, more valuable person.
- 41:24I just want to fit in with the rest of everybody else who's
- 41:27kind of like numb to the world. It's a journey and it's, it's a
- 41:34rough, it's, it's a rough, rough journey because again, to figure
- 41:38out what you're good at, you got to figure out what you're bad
- 41:40at. And and then again, there's the,
- 41:43the next phase of it is, hey, the stuff that I'm good at, does
- 41:47it help me along? Do I do, does it mean something
- 41:50to me? Because I can be really good at
- 41:52something and it doesn't mean anything to me.
- 41:55Such a good point. So do you want to make it good
- 42:00or if you want to just work on something you might not be as
- 42:02good at, but makes you feel more valuable to people and valuable
- 42:07to God and valuable to the word and valuable to your purpose.
- 42:12And, and those little things are, are, are are rough.
- 42:15It's a rough battle because you really truly got to live in
- 42:18yourself. And again, figuring out where
- 42:21you are not a good person or, or find yourself not a good person.
- 42:26And there's certain things that I do that other people might not
- 42:29like, but I look at them and I say, that's not really a bad
- 42:32thing to me. Yes, it's not a bad thing to me
- 42:35just because other people don't like.
- 42:37I'm a very quiet person. But I also, it's something I
- 42:43don't like goes on around me and I feel that I won't allow it to
- 42:48happen. I'm going to say something.
- 42:50Now, some people that's a bad thing to me.
- 42:52It's not. I don't mind standing by myself
- 42:55and telling people they're wrongdoing something because.
- 42:58You. You know who you are and you.
- 43:00I know who I am and I know that that's not OK, and I know that
- 43:03me allowing that to happen is even worse because I have the
- 43:08power to stop it or I have the power to at least open people's
- 43:12eyes to why are you guys doing that?
- 43:17Because I guarantee you have the 10 people that are doing it.
- 43:19Two people are really into it. The rest of them are kind of
- 43:21like, I guess I'll go along with you.
- 43:23So if you say to them, Hey guys, the other 80, what are you
- 43:26doing? I don't know.
- 43:27I'm following him. Well, is that OK for you?
- 43:30Do you accept that or you just here just because you came with
- 43:33this guy? And and those are the little
- 43:37battles, the little battles, you know, through my through my
- 43:43professional life, I've been around a lot of things.
- 43:46I've seen a lot of things. And you know, once you can truly
- 43:50figure out what you're willing to be heard for, what you're
- 43:55willing to sacrifice for, what you're willing to do, all that
- 43:57other stuff, life becomes easier.
- 44:01But it does take, it does take time.
- 44:03Like I said, it took me about three years to figure out who I
- 44:04was and what I'm going to stand for and what I'm not going to
- 44:07stand for. That is beautifully said.
- 44:12And I think it encapsulates like you're saying, it's, it's a it's
- 44:18a ride to get there to figure out who you are.
- 44:22You literally have to go through this adversity.
- 44:25It's the path right to figuring out who you are.
- 44:29The alternative is it's it's a hard life is hard, right?
- 44:34But I love how you're saying reframe the challenges.
- 44:38They're not punishments. They're literally the path to
- 44:41like uncovering one thing I heard and I said it a couple
- 44:45times, someone said it's on some real, I don't know who said it.
- 44:49It's not me. I do not say this.
- 44:52God gives you a gift, right? We all have a gift and everyone
- 44:57has a unique one. There's not one person that
- 44:59doesn't have a gift of some sort.
- 45:01What you discovering it and like what you do with it is your gift
- 45:05back to Him. Right, he gives you the tools.
- 45:08What are you going to build? And then the path to discover
- 45:11the gift is full of adversity, though it's not a smooth path to
- 45:15uncover the gift, right? Right.
- 45:19And, and, and, and again, it's having the mindset of we're all
- 45:26different. So everybody's gifts are going
- 45:27to be different for sure. Because some gifts don't look
- 45:30like gifts right away. Some gifts don't look like gifts
- 45:34because if you, if you want to be the influencer, the
- 45:38professional athlete or the movie star and you think that's
- 45:41what you truly want to be and somebody gives you the gift of
- 45:44kindness or compassion or an ability to work with people, you
- 45:48go, that's not, that's not shiny and bright.
- 45:51That's not, that's not, that's not what I think I want.
- 45:54No, no, no, that's what you were here for.
- 45:57That is your gift. Make it beautiful, make it
- 46:00yours. Wear it like a crown and, and,
- 46:05and take it and grow with it. It's nothing right now.
- 46:08But like you said, he gave it to you.
- 46:11What can you do with it? It's a little.
- 46:13Sea and if you don't try, you'll never know and you'll walk right
- 46:17past a God-given gift that he created exactly for you and
- 46:23you're chasing somebody else's gift over there.
- 46:27That's kind of at the end of the day, is an Italian that's
- 46:30disrespectful. It's it's literally, it's a.
- 46:33Little disrespectful. What are we doing over here?
- 46:36I gave you something. You're over here playing.
- 46:37This other thing, you go sleep with the fish, Yeah.
- 46:40Yeah, 100 percent, 100%. Oh my gosh, you need to be a
- 46:43life coach. Seriously.
- 46:47I'm fully aware that I'm, I know enough that I don't know
- 46:51everything. You will.
- 46:52And again, I think that I think that the transition in religion
- 46:54and faith have the, it's a different time now.
- 46:57Like I remember growing up and all the church people were holy
- 47:01rollers and stuff like that. We're going through a
- 47:04renaissance of like baby baby religion, getting back into it.
- 47:11Some of the best churches I ever went to weren't the ones with
- 47:14the, you know, the everybody who's in the suit and ties.
- 47:17I went to one. I remember right before I left
- 47:21to go travelling, it was out in Vernon Valley and Vernon Valley,
- 47:26New Jersey, where Action Park was scarily enough, but it was
- 47:30all ex convicts, military guys doing the PTSD.
- 47:35It was it was a reformative church in the way that it was
- 47:38people coming back. There was no judgement.
- 47:41There was no this, there was no that.
- 47:43And again, me looking like I look like I don't feel like I
- 47:46fit in at the holy roll of church.
- 47:49So I walked in and I felt want to talk about a moment.
- 47:54I walked in and I went by myself and because again, I was dealing
- 47:58with guys that are still in a party scene and I, I just want,
- 48:01I just needed to go. A friend of a friend of mine
- 48:04told me about it and I was like, yeah, I'll go.
- 48:06And I remember being in there feeling very uncomfortable, but
- 48:11but recognizing that I looked like a lot more people in this
- 48:13place, like I was a little bit more like tattooed up guys,
- 48:16stuff like that and all this other stuff.
- 48:18And I remember like, OK, this is a good, this is a good start.
- 48:21And I remember being in there and just feeling initially
- 48:27awkward, but then starting to feel like at home and we were
- 48:31going into a prayer and I, I was, I was really, I was really
- 48:34kind of focused on what was going on.
- 48:37And I remember like feeling like a hand on my shoulder from
- 48:41behind. And I turned around and it was
- 48:44this guy that legitimately was like a poster boy for like
- 48:46bikers weekly. Just he had he had his collared
- 48:50shirt on but underneath it was all non collared shirt.
- 48:53Like scared. Too And and he and I turned and
- 48:57he looked at me and he goes just just please let me and he prayed
- 49:01for me and I've never felt more connected.
- 49:07I've never felt more like I belonged and it was non
- 49:13judgmental and it was him saying this is OK, you're good like I
- 49:18know whatever you're dealing with adversity wise right now,
- 49:20you're in the right place and I don't know that guy.
- 49:25I never spoke to him again. I never, you know, but he, I
- 49:29believe in angels. He was at that moment, I think
- 49:33that I think that God puts effort into certain people and
- 49:37they step up when they're supposed to.
- 49:39And that was his moment. And I will tell you to this day,
- 49:42He changed everything for me. I just got chills in my yeah, I
- 49:48totally understand that moment. Yeah, and it, and it's and it's
- 49:54such an awakening. And, and by the way you go
- 49:56outside, the sky looks a little bit brighter, birds are a little
- 49:59bit louder. And you just feel grateful and
- 50:03you feel loved and you feel seen and, and it sounds all cliche
- 50:09and stuff like that, but it's not, It is, it is the purest.
- 50:12And once you feel that feeling, you can feel it again in little
- 50:18moments, in little actions, in little this, in little that
- 50:21it's, it's not like a drug where it's like chasing to be high all
- 50:24the time. That's not, it's not what it is.
- 50:26And I'm going to be honest with you, it's not you're not
- 50:28floating through life with like Angel winds behind you.
- 50:31Life is rough. But the moments of remembrance
- 50:35when you get that feeling of OK, we're good.
- 50:38I got this. And again, the other aspect of
- 50:42it that I like to tell people about is you'll see all these
- 50:46people on, you know, the Instagram and all this other
- 50:49stuff reciting Bible verses and stuff like this.
- 50:53That's not always what it is. Like, I'm going to tell you my,
- 50:56my, my love of God and my actions for God are physical
- 51:01actions, helping people out, seeing somebody needs to drink
- 51:05and getting them to drink. I can't recite the Gospel.
- 51:08I, I, I can't, I've read it, recite it, certainly can't come
- 51:12up with a number that it's in or the book that it's in.
- 51:14But that doesn't make me any less of a Son of God, because my
- 51:21celebration of God is actions. Beautiful.
- 51:25You don't have to you don't have to remember the Bible.
- 51:28It's it's, it's great if you can and that's that's amazing in
- 51:31seconds. Trust me, I'm super impressed
- 51:34with the people that can, but I also know that I'm a long way
- 51:38away from that. But totally part of the journey
- 51:41is doing it now. What are you doing now while
- 51:44you're waiting for God? That's what he says.
- 51:46You're waiting for God. If you're just waiting, you're
- 51:49doing it wrong. Do action, do little things.
- 51:53Be the good person that God wants you to be so other people
- 51:59see your actions, not your words.
- 52:04And that's the transition for me was I know I look like this.
- 52:07I know I do what I do. And I've struggled with the, the
- 52:09violence level of my job and the, and that kind of stuff
- 52:13because, you know, there's parts of it, but I know that God put
- 52:16me here for this. And I know that my intentions
- 52:19are always pure. Listen, I've done a job where if
- 52:22nothing happens, you get paid the same amount.
- 52:25I sure don't want any violence. But if it happens, that's my
- 52:28job. And and it's something I
- 52:31struggle with. Well, and, and I'm thank you for
- 52:34being open about it too, but, and I will say, and I'm just now
- 52:38learning the Bible literally, they're the angels.
- 52:42Apparently word on the street is angels could be aggressive as
- 52:46well. Like the army of God, Army of
- 52:49God. Maybe you're the Army of God
- 52:51down. Here, Yeah, yeah, I was like
- 52:55wow, that was actually really good.
- 52:56I'm going to use that. That was I like that.
- 52:58That was you are. I like that.
- 53:01You really are because like that is your gift.
- 53:04And then and then the obviously you said you were built this
- 53:08way, but like you also have the psychology, the spirituality.
- 53:11You're literally the soldier that like has all the.
- 53:14I mean, it makes sense. I like that and and again, the
- 53:19transition between because I studied up a lot about this
- 53:21stuff. It's the children of God versus
- 53:25the warriors of God. It's two different types of
- 53:27people. And and again, at the end of the
- 53:31day, you're answering to God. And then this is where I go back
- 53:34to all the time. Here's the reset.
- 53:36If you start to get super confused, but I do every once in
- 53:39a while I get super like caught into the confusion of it.
- 53:42You, you answer to one man is is is when you sit down with God.
- 53:48Can you tell him I did my best? I, I did what I feel like you
- 53:53wanted me to do and truly mean it, truly say I didn't do this
- 53:58because I thought this was going to be wrong.
- 53:59This one I was a little bit questioning on, but I thought
- 54:01about you and I went forward with it or stuff like that.
- 54:05And that's the, that's the thing.
- 54:08It's not about being perfect. No.
- 54:11It's about being faithful, it's about surrendering, and it's
- 54:14about realizing that He created you for a reason.
- 54:21He wants he, he wants to be involved in your decisions so he
- 54:25can help you, right? Like.
- 54:26If absolutely. Anything.
- 54:29You can consult him 24/7. And and then by the way, I I
- 54:34figured out filtering it through that way of life quiets the
- 54:39quiets quiets the the noise around it.
- 54:43Am I doing something right right now?
- 54:45Again, we've we've in society and we won't get super political
- 54:50about this other stuff, but. I think in a year I'm going to
- 54:54be like. I look at the way society is
- 55:00now, and I look at tolerances. Tolerance was at, was at at its
- 55:05purest form is a beautiful thing.
- 55:07We've weaponized it into allowing things that we know are
- 55:11not right. Yep.
- 55:13Just because we're being tolerant there, there is a
- 55:17renewal now of people being like, I'm not.
- 55:20I ain't out for that. I don't have to tolerate that.
- 55:22Like I don't have to tolerate that because, again, there's
- 55:26certain people out here like I'm going to make a decision.
- 55:28You have to accept it. I never say that about me.
- 55:32I'll live with the consequences of my things, but I'll stand for
- 55:35it. But I'm not asking anybody else
- 55:36to accept it. I'm not.
- 55:39Yeah. The tolerance I have is, is
- 55:44you're supposed to be good to other people unless you're doing
- 55:47something that's like so wildly out of the bounds of it.
- 55:52It doesn't give you carte blanche.
- 55:54It doesn't give you a free, a blank check.
- 55:57If that's not what tolerance is, tolerance is trying to to
- 56:03understand it. And by the way, tolerance is
- 56:06trying to understand not having to accept.
- 56:08Those are two separate things. You can understand something
- 56:12deeply and still. Not accept 100%.
- 56:15And again, it's like, it's like the free will thing.
- 56:17Everybody comes in to, oh, we've got free will.
- 56:19Finish the sentence and deal with the consequences that come
- 56:22with it. That's the that's the full
- 56:24sentence. Like we've limited to I have
- 56:26free will. OK.
- 56:28Do you think that you can affect everybody's life and it not have
- 56:31any consequences? That's not how it works.
- 56:33It is a full sentence. You have free will and you be
- 56:37either successful or fail. But those actions have
- 56:40consequences that will either get you hugged or get you hugged
- 56:45real hard. Or it'll get you kicked, yeah.
- 56:51100% yeah. The neck.
- 56:53The neck hugged or the around the Yeah.
- 56:55And oh, trust me, we're diving into that.
- 56:58But like, it's A + B = C and like, be aware of your
- 57:02decisions, right? And like, but you're that's so
- 57:06good whenever you're confused. Oh, but so and so wants me to do
- 57:09this, but I don't want to make sometimes like stupid stuff I'm
- 57:11worried about like, oh, but I'm mad.
- 57:12And then I and I'm like, wait, what does God want me to do?
- 57:17That'll guide it. Because like I we're all human.
- 57:20We're all sin. We all don't know what we're all
- 57:23just like God just kind of laughs and wants to hug us and
- 57:26be like, Oh, you little humans or.
- 57:27Something we're a little piece of clay that he's trying to roll
- 57:29this into something. You are adorable.
- 57:34Yeah. Look at him.
- 57:38No, anyway, sorry, I'm literally chasing squirrels over here.
- 57:44But so it there's so many things, so many important topics
- 57:50you're bringing up all related to getting through adversity,
- 57:54right? Like faith, awareness,
- 57:57accountability, like speaking your mind, like calling it out,
- 58:00like part of our responsibility is to call out when we see
- 58:04things or else, you know, we're right.
- 58:07Talk to me about like your day-to-day.
- 58:10And you're, you're saying things are changing, right?
- 58:12Like obviously people are being more outspoken as they should
- 58:16be. I think there was a period
- 58:18again, some people might unfollow me for this.
- 58:20And you know, give me one star. That's fine.
- 58:22But where you couldn't say anything, right?
- 58:26And it was. So, so for, for me personally,
- 58:30it's, it's a rough Gray area, but not it's, it's, it's
- 58:34professionally it is. But for me, it's not what, what
- 58:41goes on these days. And, and, and the infighting
- 58:43between political stuff and even the religious stuff that goes on
- 58:48and stuff like that. Like who do you take a job from
- 58:52this group knowing that this group is not going to, not going
- 58:56to want to use you anymore or, or stuff like that.
- 58:58And here's, here's the end of the day goal.
- 59:01If you're not doing anything I don't agree with spiritually,
- 59:06you have the right to be protected.
- 59:08You have the right to be protected.
- 59:09It is your right. But but when you start to use me
- 59:13as a sword and not a shield, then we got an issue because I'm
- 59:19here to protect you. I'm not here to enforce what you
- 59:21believe. Great, great point.
- 59:25Because again, so I consider myself conservative Patriot.
- 59:30Yeah. So I, I love the country.
- 59:32I also know that the, the governmental things on both
- 59:35sides are a little bit as squarely as we like to say.
- 59:39So I look at that kind of stuff the same way as I look at God.
- 59:43I love the country. I love the country, the people,
- 59:47the powers that be have adjusted it so that things are all
- 59:50cultured, which is fine. It is what it is.
- 59:53But I've dealt with both sides, the left, the right, this, the,
- 59:57that, you know, all these kind of things.
- 59:59And I have to break it down to. Unless they're using me to
- 1:00:03enforce something I don't believe in.
- 1:00:05I can work with you. That's great.
- 1:00:07I can work with you. And again, people talk about,
- 1:00:12you know, which is the most violent side and which is the
- 1:00:14most. I, I, I deal with a lot of
- 1:00:16conservative groups and the threat that was a lot, lot
- 1:00:20higher going against them. When I deal with more of the
- 1:00:24liberals side groups, a lot more of it is they're, they're afraid
- 1:00:31of being emotionally or verbally hurt.
- 1:00:33So for me, it's like, that's a cakewalk.
- 1:00:35I'll, I'll deal with that because there's no violence
- 1:00:37involved. Like I'm legitimately I, I can't
- 1:00:39stop them from talking. It's, you know, words hurt.
- 1:00:43Not as much as a shin kick, but. It's so you're like, they don't
- 1:00:47hurt that much, OK. Yeah, 100%.
- 1:00:49I've been hit by a lot of things.
- 1:00:51So, but so in, in, in the industry, it's, it's, it is,
- 1:00:58it's a changing time. I deal with a lot of people that
- 1:01:01I wouldn't deal with in my personal life.
- 1:01:03And again, I'm going to tell you, like doing this job, being
- 1:01:06around all this celebrity stuff, all this money, all these
- 1:01:09parties, all this nonsense. I found that I'd like to escape
- 1:01:13the nature. And if you're on the team
- 1:01:16nature, yeah, give me a lake house for like 2 days and to, to
- 1:01:19watch all this off of me, to get all this off of me.
- 1:01:25But, but, but again, so the industry stuff, I've gotten to
- 1:01:32the point in my career where I can't make these decisions about
- 1:01:35what I think is right and wrong and be a little bit more
- 1:01:39stringent on who I work with. A lot of the guys who take these
- 1:01:44celebrities and stuff like that think that is a great thing.
- 1:01:47I'd much rather protect a pastor or somebody who's who's doing
- 1:01:51something good for the people or, or, or truly has a message
- 1:01:57like those are the people I love to work, work with and and that
- 1:02:01gives me more fulfillment of my purpose.
- 1:02:06That's the weird Gray area for for me.
- 1:02:09But again, at the end of the day, money is not worth my soul.
- 1:02:12Exactly. So at the end of the day, that's
- 1:02:16the litmus test for what I'm going to be around 100 percent,
- 1:02:20100%. That's a. 100% barometer, like
- 1:02:22check in with the guy, you know? Yeah, there's so many take away.
- 1:02:28Like there's I, there's so many Nuggets in here.
- 1:02:31And I know like even for me and anyone listening, this is like
- 1:02:35whenever I talk to a guest and for the whole next week, you're
- 1:02:38like in my mind I'm like, oh, what would Adam do?
- 1:02:41What did Adam say about that? And then the last week it was
- 1:02:43Amir, like Amir said that I do this and then before. 100% and
- 1:02:48and that's the but by the way, that's the beauty of
- 1:02:50conversation. Yeah, that is the beauty of
- 1:02:52conversation. That's where the value of it is,
- 1:02:55is you see somebody else's point of view and you go, let me walk
- 1:02:57in his shoes for a couple of days and see how I like, like
- 1:03:00look at it and stuff like that. And it changes your perspective
- 1:03:02on a lot of stuff that she was so concreted and the beginning
- 1:03:05and you go, oh, wait, I didn't think of it that way.
- 1:03:09And I'm so glad that you said that because whether you're
- 1:03:13left, right, center, whatever, whether you're just like, I
- 1:03:17don't engage in politics, I have la, la, la, la, whatever, you
- 1:03:20have a right to think and believe what you want.
- 1:03:24However, I would like to understand more about it, and I
- 1:03:28doesn't mean that I'm not. I am 100% open to changing my
- 1:03:32mind. If it is aligned with God,
- 1:03:35that's. Absolutely.
- 1:03:36And prove to me the policy that's better and, and I'll,
- 1:03:40I'll look at it differently as long as it aligns with that guy.
- 1:03:43Right. And and go into the conversation
- 1:03:45with not it's, it's not an adversary.
- 1:03:48See, that's the difference. It's not an argument, it's a
- 1:03:50conversation. And I got to tell you, I, I had
- 1:03:52a conversation with somebody the other day.
- 1:03:54We were talking about some nonsensical thing and he brought
- 1:03:56up a thing and I was like, whoa, that's how you see that?
- 1:04:02I guess that makes sense that way.
- 1:04:04And again, it didn't change my overall belief in what we were
- 1:04:08talking about, but I was like, ah, that OK, OK.
- 1:04:11I just thought you were just really excited to be wrong.
- 1:04:15You actually have a thought process.
- 1:04:17You have a. Thought process.
- 1:04:19I'm kidding. 100% and, and, and that's, that's what it is.
- 1:04:24Once we've, we've stopped trying to be right and tried to be
- 1:04:30liked, like when, when being liked is your most valuable
- 1:04:34thing, you're in trouble because society sways and what's right
- 1:04:39and wrong sways. And it's funny for me, being in
- 1:04:43the profession I'm in, everybody asks why I didn't become a
- 1:04:45police officer going to law enforcement.
- 1:04:47And my, my answer is really, really clear.
- 1:04:50I believe in the laws of God, not of man.
- 1:04:52Because of God, laws of man can be swayed by whatever society
- 1:04:57deems is right and wrong. So I can't enforce something.
- 1:05:02I don't believe it. You look at the way that some of
- 1:05:06the police that the, some of the regulations they have to deal
- 1:05:08with some of the stuff that are forced to do some of the things
- 1:05:11I can't. I just, I can't because that is
- 1:05:15also to me where it's kind of like this is what you guys are
- 1:05:20doing. Well, where's the free thought?
- 1:05:22Where's the free thought? You know, a politician's going
- 1:05:26to tell a cop what to do. So it's like, I'm going to come
- 1:05:28up with an idea and you have to enforce it.
- 1:05:30It's like, whoa, like, where's my say?
- 1:05:33And, and I get, I get that's not how the world works, but that's
- 1:05:36why I made the decision to go independently into my own
- 1:05:40pursuits because I couldn't do what I didn't believe in.
- 1:05:46And again, it's, it's, that's the East Coast, kind of like,
- 1:05:49you don't have to help, you're not telling me what to do.
- 1:05:50But at the same time, it's made me a better human because of it,
- 1:05:54because I can make the decisions on right and wrong.
- 1:05:57You know, there's a lot of situations we get into and I'm
- 1:05:59sure everybody can assume social cues and all this other stuff
- 1:06:03where a client will want to do something and, and I'll, I'll
- 1:06:07give them the real quick. Yeah, that's not, that is not
- 1:06:10happening. And by the way, if you think
- 1:06:12it's happening, what would be my fear?
- 1:06:14You're going to fire me? Don't.
- 1:06:16Don't worry about it. I don't want to work for you if
- 1:06:17you can just accept them. If you're not going to take my,
- 1:06:21we're not going to. We have to be a partner.
- 1:06:23We have to. If you think that I'm going to
- 1:06:26protect you while you're doing this, you read me wrong.
- 1:06:30I'm going to allow you to have a good time and feel safe and have
- 1:06:33your people feel safe. If you if you think that gives
- 1:06:36you the power or because I'm here, you can do this, you're
- 1:06:41wrong. Yeah, because again.
- 1:06:43Your guardrails, right? 100% because money is not as
- 1:06:47important as be doing the right thing totally.
- 1:06:50And you'll lose and you'll lose clients over.
- 1:06:52But guess what? It's, it's beautiful.
- 1:06:55And, and by the way, with my Instagram page, I am very, very
- 1:06:58open about my, my thoughts and beliefs.
- 1:07:01And I was at like 22,000 or something like that.
- 1:07:03I went down to 16. So I was like, oh, you're
- 1:07:05losing. I said, I'm losing the stuff
- 1:07:07that the people I don't want. Like, again, I believe in.
- 1:07:12But if this bothers you, you and I probably shouldn't be cool
- 1:07:14anyway. Like, why do I need you around?
- 1:07:17It's it's it's an amazing natural filter.
- 1:07:20That's the people like, oh, they're not talking to you
- 1:07:22anymore. OK, They'll be missed, but OK.
- 1:07:27Are they going to make my life better fighting me about every
- 1:07:29little thing or, you know, or, or trying to make me feel bad
- 1:07:33that people aren't going to, you know, upset me.
- 1:07:34I'm good, I'm good. We got them.
- 1:07:38We're good. I'll never be.
- 1:07:40I'll never be alone. So if you think that I'm going
- 1:07:43to be alone, you're I'll never be alone.
- 1:07:45You're like, I'm going to hang with God and watch a squirrel A.
- 1:07:48100% You want me to worry about what this guy thinks about when
- 1:07:51and then yeah, no, not happening.
- 1:07:53That is a very egotistical view, friend.
- 1:07:55You're. Like, oh, you actually.
- 1:07:57Oh, no, yeah. Oh, you read that book wrong?
- 1:08:01Yeah. Because that's not me.
- 1:08:02Yeah. Oh.
- 1:08:03My God, we are exactly well, and I got to tell you when I when
- 1:08:09Charlie Kirk unfortunately was assassinated, that's when I was
- 1:08:13like, and I actually noticed and again, please don't take this as
- 1:08:18ego, but I was literally like, he has the same microphone as
- 1:08:21me, same act and I and that I looked and went, holy fuck, I'm
- 1:08:28like, I'm a podcaster. I'm I'm a mom in her room
- 1:08:31starting a podcast, but we have the same right.
- 1:08:33We're doing the same thing. I believe a lot of what he's
- 1:08:37saying and and, and I like a tribute reel.
- 1:08:41Oh, I lost a ton. I lost a ton because I was like,
- 1:08:45no, fuck this, like, sorry, I, I it's time.
- 1:08:48I'm not going to worry about the unfollows and the blocks and TA
- 1:08:54or whatever. I don't care.
- 1:08:55Like it, it'll and and it's I, it's a it didn't feel great
- 1:09:00seeing it go down. But then I was like, wait a
- 1:09:02second, who? Who are you, Bree?
- 1:09:04What and, and again, who are the people that left?
- 1:09:09Explain to me, why do you think this, that this was acceptable
- 1:09:13or you think that because I, I, I believe in this, that there's
- 1:09:17something wrong, that that's my whole thing.
- 1:09:19Well, he's again, he's a fascist.
- 1:09:21He's a best. He's a best.
- 1:09:23Explain to me why? Because the fascist thing is my
- 1:09:25favorite. Because nobody could define what
- 1:09:28a fascist You, you know, you know what I'm talking about.
- 1:09:33No, I don't. That's why I asked.
- 1:09:34Don't play this game. I'm not a man.
- 1:09:36Did asking. But again, even like if somebody
- 1:09:40on the left died, that's a loss of a life like.
- 1:09:44It's a child. That's the.
- 1:09:46Again, that's. The that's the difference.
- 1:09:47It's. That's the difference.
- 1:09:49It's celebrating that celebrate. It's you've lost it.
- 1:09:55It's it's not red versus blue. It's this, we're humans.
- 1:09:58And and again, here's my thing with the Charlie Kurt thing.
- 1:10:01And we we did the memorial. So seeing being there and doing
- 1:10:04the energy and it was amazing. But here's the thing, you killed
- 1:10:10the one guy that was willing to talk to everybody, wasn't
- 1:10:13forcing his views on people, was saying, let's talk the one
- 1:10:17little bridge that we had that was barely holding on.
- 1:10:20You Cut the Rope. Now what do you expect to
- 1:10:23happen? Because now there's no
- 1:10:25communication, there's zero communication.
- 1:10:30And and it's it's. Heating up?
- 1:10:33The the, the fallout from it is crazy.
- 1:10:36But again, I the Division is, it's upsetting.
- 1:10:41It is and and. It's.
- 1:10:43We can't sustain it and. No, because it's somebody's got
- 1:10:47to give. Somebody's got to give.
- 1:10:48And, and, and again, you're supposed to look at, well,
- 1:10:53religious people look to God. But what's going on on the
- 1:10:56ground right now is you're supposed to look to your
- 1:10:58government. You're supposed to look to your
- 1:10:59leaders. You're supposed to look to these
- 1:11:00people for clarity and for peace and for tolerance and for
- 1:11:03understanding. They don't know what's going on
- 1:11:06either. And they're just as bad as
- 1:11:07everybody else. Yep.
- 1:11:11So if real quick for everybody to listen, if there wasn't a
- 1:11:14better time to turn to the one person who will tell you what to
- 1:11:17do and stop listening to everybody else.
- 1:11:21This is the time because you are now learning that there's one
- 1:11:25judgement at the end of the day. Because if you listen to this
- 1:11:28side, they're telling you this, you go listen to this side,
- 1:11:30you're telling you this. You know you're this because of
- 1:11:32this and you're this because God loves you and he's giving you
- 1:11:36life and he's giving you the blessing of life.
- 1:11:38You can't be responsible for everything else going around.
- 1:11:41Fortunately, I have to worry about it, but you're.
- 1:11:44Like that's my job. I'm in meetings for it all the
- 1:11:48time. But but it's, it's you have him,
- 1:11:55he's here. Turn to him, surrender to him
- 1:11:58and he won't make it easier because we are in a time of
- 1:12:00conflict, chaos and misunderstanding more than I
- 1:12:04think there has been in the very, very, very long time.
- 1:12:07And now it's all televised and now it's on Instagram and now
- 1:12:11everybody's telling you what to do.
- 1:12:12Guess what? Shut it all off 20 minutes.
- 1:12:15Shut it off. Sit down in a quiet place
- 1:12:18because again, I don't believe you have to do it anywhere
- 1:12:20special Take a walk, do this do that and ask God.
- 1:12:24He'll answer you will get he'll tell you what's wrong.
- 1:12:27Yep. And it won't be AI didn't want
- 1:12:29to say it because this person would be getting mad.
- 1:12:31I don't want to say no. There's nobody there's nobody
- 1:12:33bigger. There's nobody bigger than that.
- 1:12:35No go, go right to the CEO, go right to the CEO.
- 1:12:38Don't worry about the middle management go right to the CEO
- 1:12:41and again, just listen. It's not always clear, it's not
- 1:12:45always this, it's not always that, but it's always there it.
- 1:12:48Is always there and thank you for saying that too, because I
- 1:12:52literally would love this podcast the way that you are
- 1:12:56your job, you're protecting people's, you know, right to
- 1:13:01express and hopefully de escalating when you're at these
- 1:13:04events you want you're trying to keep the peace, literally right.
- 1:13:10And I think that is your gift. And then like what I'm real
- 1:13:14starting to realize in this moment, maybe my gift is the
- 1:13:18gift of conversation. And I would love to have anyone
- 1:13:24who disagrees with anything I said and who wants to unfollow
- 1:13:26me. Instead of unfollowing me,
- 1:13:28message me. And like, let's have like a
- 1:13:31literal discussion where we just talk, right?
- 1:13:35You don't have to. Hate and it's not adversarial.
- 1:13:37And by the way, there's no win or loss.
- 1:13:39Whoever's there's. No scoreboard.
- 1:13:42It's just understand, let's just understand 'cause I don't, you
- 1:13:46know, I have friends of both voted for this.
- 1:13:49Friends aren't even citizens who can't vote, who wish they could.
- 1:13:53And then I have, you know, a South African immigrant mother.
- 1:13:56I have an East Coast old school dad.
- 1:13:59I, I've done a lot of thinking about all that I've done, a lot
- 1:14:03of praying and I I don't want to be friends with someone based on
- 1:14:09who you vote for. I want to be friends with
- 1:14:11someone based on who you are, how you treat.
- 1:14:13Right, right, right and wrong. That's it.
- 1:14:16Right and wrong. That's it.
- 1:14:17That's. Really it?
- 1:14:19100%. Really.
- 1:14:20It's really that simple. It's it's, and again, it's
- 1:14:25conversations far more. Your job is a lot more valuable
- 1:14:31than my job. No.
- 1:14:32Your job? No, Hear me out.
- 1:14:36Hear me out because this is giving people the opportunity.
- 1:14:39I've watched a couple of the shows and just letting people
- 1:14:42feel comfortable to talk and to feel heard and to feel.
- 1:14:46That's where change comes from. Violence is what I deal with.
- 1:14:50The violence part is not where change comes from.
- 1:14:53It's not. That's like the the.
- 1:14:55That is the last, that is the last resort resort.
- 1:14:59And again, that's why my job might be a little bit more
- 1:15:02dangerous or like. Yeah.
- 1:15:05But yours is more important because this is where change
- 1:15:10actually happens. Because if it gets to this point
- 1:15:12where I I'm involved and there's violence involved, there's
- 1:15:15almost no coming back from. It Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:18There's almost no coming back from it because no, nobody wants
- 1:15:21to, you know, once it gets to that point, it's because
- 1:15:25conversation didn't work or it wasn't tried giving people the
- 1:15:29ability to speak. And again, it's, it's people
- 1:15:32will be like, we'll have an adversary.
- 1:15:34No, no, no, we're having we're talking like we, we are talking.
- 1:15:38And by the way, you have the right to walk away from it at
- 1:15:40any time. But I also feel that people
- 1:15:43might want to hear what you have to say.
- 1:15:45So let me give you this platform because again, I've watched a
- 1:15:48bunch of them and, and just the comfort, the comfort of having a
- 1:15:54conversation with somebody. And again, not being, not being
- 1:15:59held to any sort of judgment or anything like that.
- 1:16:01It gives you this ability to speak clearly, to hear clearly
- 1:16:05and to be understood, or to at least at least show your point
- 1:16:10and that this is where change change happens.
- 1:16:13Thank you. Thank you.
- 1:16:15Well, we're all we're all different roles in the Army,
- 1:16:17right? You're you're 100%.
- 1:16:19I'm waving to you like I'm over here and I'm waving to you over
- 1:16:21there and I'm. Like, yeah, thanks to people.
- 1:16:23Safe and I'm like yeah, I just did a chat with this guy over
- 1:16:25here and you're like you're. Gonna ask them what they're
- 1:16:27doing next. Yeah, and then you're like, let
- 1:16:28me know if he gets out of line. 100% but again, we're all
- 1:16:34answering to 1, so we're all answering to God and and that's
- 1:16:40the clarity of it for me. That's the but I I like that
- 1:16:44you're going with the adversity part of it because that truly is
- 1:16:47what bolds people. Nobody gets changed by comfort.
- 1:16:52Nobody gets changed by comfort. No, you just bask in it.
- 1:16:55You're like this is. So because you're not challenged
- 1:16:58and you learn nothing about yourself, you'll learn what your
- 1:17:01favorite drink is and what you like to eat and what island you
- 1:17:03like to go to. But when, when the world's about
- 1:17:07to crumble, you fall back onto your your, your factory
- 1:17:12settings. And your factory settings are
- 1:17:16going to tell you more about who you are then what bottle of
- 1:17:19champagne you popped or What Car you drive or what this or what
- 1:17:23that, because that's where you find out what you're actually
- 1:17:26made of. And that changes everything.
- 1:17:30So good we we almost have a fashion line now with. 100% I'm
- 1:17:35going to. We're going to get long socks
- 1:17:36like stockings. Original fashion.
- 1:17:39Line. That's right, there's.
- 1:17:40So many literally I'm like, yeah, ideas.
- 1:17:44OK, now I just have to ask. OK, tell me a little bit about
- 1:17:51what was that like the energy at that at Charlie Kirk's memorial,
- 1:17:54I saw a real where Elon Musk was there.
- 1:17:58And again, as much as you can share, I know some of this is
- 1:18:03What was that like and what was your role there?
- 1:18:07So we we were called in. So it was probably one of the
- 1:18:10most secure events there was this year.
- 1:18:14It was we had to do a lot of vetting to be allowed in.
- 1:18:20I worked with another company with a bunch of amazing, amazing
- 1:18:22guys. We were one of the few teams
- 1:18:24that were allowed actually on the floor level.
- 1:18:29The level of security at that thing was, was for me, it's like
- 1:18:34the Super Bowl because you get to watch the highest level guys
- 1:18:37doing it at the highest level. It was, it was the, it was the
- 1:18:41real deal. Like even like the local PD was
- 1:18:43kind of like sparingly used. It was more like Marshalls and
- 1:18:48Secret Service. And it was everybody had an
- 1:18:51earpiece and everybody had an earpiece.
- 1:18:54But it was it was a great experience.
- 1:18:58We were there with some great clients and I will tell you,
- 1:19:02seeing people rally together the and it's it's it's the only
- 1:19:09similar base I could like kind of draw to was again, being from
- 1:19:14Jersey during 911. People say it all the time.
- 1:19:20Nobody ever wants another September 11th, but everybody
- 1:19:23would kill to have the energy of September 12th where the country
- 1:19:26came together. There was flags everywhere.
- 1:19:29Everybody loved everybody. It was it was tragedy unites.
- 1:19:36Tragedy unites. And being at that event on that
- 1:19:40day, it was like the whole world was there.
- 1:19:42There was an energy to it that was unmatched.
- 1:19:46And again, I've got to keep it a little numb because I'm paying
- 1:19:49attention, but just the people hugging each other and
- 1:19:53condolences and glad you're here and people that you know, don't
- 1:19:57generally like each other on the outside took the moment to
- 1:20:00celebrate a man that said we could talk about this and that.
- 1:20:06That was the overall take from it.
- 1:20:07And it spiraled into all this other stuff afterwards.
- 1:20:11But that moment of purity, of a remembrance of respect, and of
- 1:20:16just community, true community. Not insta community, true
- 1:20:22community where people were were there for a purpose and it was
- 1:20:27genuine. It was it was it was incredible.
- 1:20:30I was it was a blessing to be involved.
- 1:20:33It was got to work with a great team of people and just the
- 1:20:38energy was was insane. It was, it was a terrible that
- 1:20:43it had to happen, but it was great that it happened.
- 1:20:46Yeah, no. And I, I that that whole week, I
- 1:20:51was like numb that week, I was just like, what just happened?
- 1:20:54And I, yeah. And it's, it was, it was
- 1:20:57incredible to see people come together.
- 1:21:01That's what it is. And it's, it's about community,
- 1:21:03it's about humanity. It's about, you know, like you
- 1:21:07said, celebrating a guy who said we can talk about it and like so
- 1:21:12much can be resolved hopefully through like understanding.
- 1:21:16But it's, it's, it's amazing. It's what a what an honor like
- 1:21:19you say to be there and to like be a part of history and then
- 1:21:22also just to feel the Holy Spirit.
- 1:21:24I'm sure like on a different. It was there was a couple times
- 1:21:28that we were in there were there was a couple prayers and there
- 1:21:31would be like a breeze. It was the surreal part of that,
- 1:21:34a big banner of him in the back and a couple of the prayers,
- 1:21:40like we'd pray or we'd sing and it would wave and it was like,
- 1:21:43oh, trying to keep it cool here, trying to keep it cool, trying
- 1:21:47to stay professional. But there's something going on
- 1:21:49in this building that I can't. It is it was magic.
- 1:21:53It's like all the security. And then again, the, the, the,
- 1:21:57the, the, the parallel of then you walk outside and
- 1:22:01everybody's, you know this and that.
- 1:22:03The people that came and stayed didn't even get inside and we're
- 1:22:06just there and just doing those. And then you see the one guy
- 1:22:10who's like protesting and then you remember, you know, and
- 1:22:14you're like, that's right. There are these people out here
- 1:22:16and, and, and this is, but again, that's when you say I'm
- 1:22:20grateful, I'm grateful, I'm grateful.
- 1:22:24And now and so tactically at an event like that or at any event
- 1:22:31you you're scanning, you're assessing, I mean is if if you
- 1:22:36had to sum up a little elevator pitch of what's on your mind at
- 1:22:41an event like that, I mean, I know there and you could talk
- 1:22:45for 10,000 hours. Well, so, so the only there
- 1:22:49there's a couple things. A that's the most secure
- 1:22:51building in the world at that point.
- 1:22:52So like for me, I'm very client oriented.
- 1:22:56So like, again, I know that this place is safe from my
- 1:23:02perspective because I know who's there.
- 1:23:04I know the vetting process that went on.
- 1:23:06I, I, I see the tactical lineups, I see where these
- 1:23:09people are. Like this is, this is as
- 1:23:12textbook as it comes. But I'm going to be honest, I
- 1:23:15had to bring another guy with me.
- 1:23:19So the company reached out. They said you got one more.
- 1:23:21And a couple of the guys that I initially would have gone with
- 1:23:27their wives said no, They said you're not going.
- 1:23:31Absolutely no. And again, that's the
- 1:23:34understanding part of this, this job is that, yeah, you have a
- 1:23:38bad day at work as an accountant or as like a finance person.
- 1:23:42That's that's one thing. I have a bad day.
- 1:23:44People lose lives and and or people get hurt or these
- 1:23:48terrible things happen. And that's a big thing with my
- 1:23:51my industry's complacency. And that was a big wake up call
- 1:23:55for me when, you know, we were trying to get guys together and
- 1:23:59people are like, yeah, that's also me.
- 1:24:00I'm there and I get the call like the half hour later, like I
- 1:24:04asked the wife, she said no. And listen, that is your wife.
- 1:24:08That is your family, That is your date.
- 1:24:09Come first always. You're not going to hear
- 1:24:11anything from me. But that eye opening awakening
- 1:24:13of oh, wow. Like people are truly afraid of
- 1:24:16what might happen here. Like for me, I'm I'm aware of
- 1:24:20the threat level. I'm aware of this.
- 1:24:21I'm aware of that. I'd be more terrified to be
- 1:24:24where he got killed to be honest with you, because with a wide
- 1:24:28open space, there's very little security being at that place is.
- 1:24:33So secure. It's so secure.
- 1:24:36Yeah, it's. Yeah.
- 1:24:39We thought there was a there's a technique that I didn't realize
- 1:24:42that even happened. We were as we pulled in, they
- 1:24:44pull in like 5 trucks at a time. They close up the side.
- 1:24:47It was all Secret Service and they ran 3 or 4 dogs pass.
- 1:24:53And I was wondering like, why do you need that many dogs?
- 1:24:57There's there was a drug 1A bomb one and a gunpowder one.
- 1:25:00As long as I can smell gunpowder.
- 1:25:03And I sat there with like these dogs like it's but that level of
- 1:25:09the scanning of the trucks, this and that where we had to check
- 1:25:11in all this other stuff, it was as secure as it happens.
- 1:25:14But here's the one thing about my industry, it's intention
- 1:25:20beats skill set every time. If somebody's willing to lose
- 1:25:23their life to do something, there's very little you can do
- 1:25:28to stop them. If somebody is willing to die or
- 1:25:33willing to go to jail and knowingly says I'm going to get
- 1:25:36this accomplished no matter what happens, that's the wild card in
- 1:25:40our industry. That's that's what it is, yeah.
- 1:25:43When? It because they're like, well,
- 1:25:45he would never do that. He would, you know, why would he
- 1:25:48strap a bomb to himself? He's just going to die.
- 1:25:50Yeah. No, no, that's that was the
- 1:25:51goal. That was the plan.
- 1:25:52That was part of the plan. Do you think he cares about
- 1:25:54anything that happens prior to that?
- 1:25:56No, He's willing to give it all up.
- 1:26:00And that's the they call it a security theater because in in
- 1:26:05theory, there's nothing man with intention and a plan is a very
- 1:26:10hard thing to overcome. Insecure.
- 1:26:15So yeah. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
- 1:26:18Now if you're at a, if you're protecting a typical client and
- 1:26:22like you said, any, is there any and feel free to be like, no, I
- 1:26:27can't. Is there any names that you can
- 1:26:29name that you have protected? And if you can't, that's totally
- 1:26:32fine. So I've done a bunch of
- 1:26:35different musicians, stuff like that.
- 1:26:40Like we did the Charlie Kirk event.
- 1:26:41I've done a bunch of politicians in Arizona.
- 1:26:45I was on tour with Shawn Mendes. I was on tour with Jlo, I was on
- 1:26:49tour with So I'll I'll tell you the one.
- 1:26:54The only one that I got kind of fanboy at is we did Andre
- 1:26:59Bocelli. Andre Bocelli for two stops in
- 1:27:02Arizona. And I'm going to tell you, did
- 1:27:05you? Cry while.
- 1:27:07He's saying I I took everything I had to pinch myself in the
- 1:27:10leg. But again, the, the beauty of
- 1:27:13that is not only is he a talented guy and it was great to
- 1:27:15see him watching his security team and management team work
- 1:27:18with his seeing impairment. The, the different protocol that
- 1:27:22has to happen behind the scenes. And they are, they are a
- 1:27:26machine. They know the steps where he's
- 1:27:30got to turn because they'll always help him.
- 1:27:32But they, he wants to kind of know what the layout is.
- 1:27:36So me explaining to somebody you can see is one thing.
- 1:27:40Try doing it with somebody who can.
- 1:27:43And he is everyone. So he's he's he.
- 1:27:48That was the one, like fanboy moment where I was like, this is
- 1:27:52this is all right, OK, we're doing it.
- 1:27:55He's like literally got. A voice from God.
- 1:27:58It's it really and, and, and just being there and watching
- 1:28:02them warm up and stuff like that is and that's the beauty of it.
- 1:28:06And again, like that, that's the celebrity side.
- 1:28:09A lot of the stuff that we do that's more private, the finance
- 1:28:12guys and stuff like that, we do a little yeah, yeah, we do a lot
- 1:28:16of the tech guys, biotech guys, stuff like that.
- 1:28:20And and it's it's amazing. The one thing I will tell you
- 1:28:23that if I come come away from this industry with one thing is
- 1:28:27that rich is loud and wealthy is quiet.
- 1:28:30Some of the most wealthy people I know you would never know.
- 1:28:34You would never They're not about any of when you're rich
- 1:28:38and you got a couple dollars in your pocket.
- 1:28:39You want everybody to know Once you start entering the bees to
- 1:28:43the billions, these guys, you would have no idea on that shit
- 1:28:47in the. Bagel and read in the paper.
- 1:28:49100% yeah, yeah, yeah we're we're in Aspen let's fly to New
- 1:28:53York for a bagel real quick and come back and and it's.
- 1:28:56They're. Like I don't they're wearing
- 1:28:57track suits the whole time. 100% wearing cargo shorts and an
- 1:29:01IZODS T-shirt. You know, and it's and I, you
- 1:29:05know, I had to just ask, you know, a little.
- 1:29:07Yeah. I mean, I had to ask.
- 1:29:09You know. No, I'm sure it's annoying, but
- 1:29:13no, I think it's it's and you know, and it's funny.
- 1:29:15You always my dad always reminds me too.
- 1:29:17He's always like Bree, people are people.
- 1:29:20Everyone puts their pants on one leg at a time.
- 1:29:22Everybody, you know, he's like, stop, stop putting people on a
- 1:29:25pedestal, you know. And so like, it's just it, it's
- 1:29:28always interesting to me how at the end of the day, whatever
- 1:29:32you're doing, like we're all people.
- 1:29:35And then, you know, some of the celebrities and very gifted, of
- 1:29:38course. But we all, we're all like,
- 1:29:42we're all people. They well, and, and nowadays,
- 1:29:47like I said, with the transition of, of, of the way things work
- 1:29:50these days, I'll be honest with you, when I started, it was
- 1:29:54talented people with talented people and they're actually
- 1:29:56talented nowadays. It's not, it's, it's not that
- 1:29:59there's no talent, but they're, they're.
- 1:30:02Manufactured a little bit. Manufactured.
- 1:30:04They're manufactured. I, I, I look at the, I look at
- 1:30:07the, and I like to use the parallel of rap.
- 1:30:11When I was in the 90s, I'd listened to the rap and, and
- 1:30:14I'll tell you, they were storytellers.
- 1:30:16Like they told stories. And you could even as a white
- 1:30:18kid from the suburbs, you understood what they were
- 1:30:21talking about. You didn't, couldn't maybe
- 1:30:24correlate with it, but you could be like, oh, this guy's telling
- 1:30:26me a story. Like here's the story.
- 1:30:27Now, if you have like a good beat or you have one thing, we,
- 1:30:32we've, we've taken tidbits 3 or 4 seconds of somebody's life had
- 1:30:37made them a celebrity off of something that they did that
- 1:30:40took no talent, no skill set, no anything like this.
- 1:30:44And, and, and it's gotten to the point where talent is so
- 1:30:47minimalized these days that we have to get into the pranking
- 1:30:51stuff. We have to get into the, the
- 1:30:53fanboy stuff. We have to get into these
- 1:30:55grandiose spectacles. Because if you take that away,
- 1:30:59these people are nothing. And again, I that that comes
- 1:31:04back to the manufactured, we need to the, the old, you know,
- 1:31:09the Roman Colosseum thing, you keep the people distracted from
- 1:31:12what's really going on. And but that's why you go back.
- 1:31:17Yeah, 100%. That's why you go back to him
- 1:31:19because it's, he's the only thing that matters.
- 1:31:21So throw everything in the world that you distract, you throw you
- 1:31:24off to, to, to do all these things to you at the end of the
- 1:31:28day. Do you really like that or do
- 1:31:30you like it? Does that person like, or are
- 1:31:32you really doing this or are you doing it because it's right?
- 1:31:35Yeah. That's the distractionary point
- 1:31:38of bringing him back, putting God first.
- 1:31:41Like this. Talk about T-shirt, that's a,
- 1:31:43that's AT shirt. Put God first.
- 1:31:45When you actually put it into action, your life changes.
- 1:31:49It really changes. It sounds when people used to
- 1:31:54say this stuff years ago, I'm like, what are they talking
- 1:31:57about? Like I didn't.
- 1:31:58I'm like, I'm like God, I'm like this guy you never met and like,
- 1:32:01and I'm just try it. I'm telling like there's
- 1:32:05something around and then being around people who can teach you
- 1:32:09and like not to be biblical, but like disciple you mentor you.
- 1:32:14Like these women have come out of the woodwork that some 7,
- 1:32:17some are 70, some are 30, some are 50.
- 1:32:19Some are like they're just like, hey, I'm praying for you.
- 1:32:22I'm like you are. And you don't know the power of
- 1:32:25prayer until you feel that, until you hear that and you go
- 1:32:28somebody. Yeah, it's.
- 1:32:30Really nice people and there's also some really, there's
- 1:32:33judgmental people, but there's some amazing people who are all
- 1:32:39about God who can teach you and help you and like shepherd you
- 1:32:44and you just ask for coffee and be like, so how are you so
- 1:32:46happy? And tell me about this God
- 1:32:47thing. What are you doing?
- 1:32:50It's like. Again, And and that's it.
- 1:32:51And find them in your community because I'm going to be.
- 1:32:54But one of the things I'm battling with lately is, is, is
- 1:32:58it's become almost trendy to be religious like.
- 1:33:02I totally hear you. So if you're doing it to say
- 1:33:05like, well, Khloe Kardashian's Christian now so I'm going to be
- 1:33:09no, no, no, if you're doing that you you are you are following.
- 1:33:11It's a false idol. It's a false idol.
- 1:33:15Don't do that. You're going to find the true
- 1:33:17happiness in your community and the guy that put his hand on my
- 1:33:20shoulder and the woman that sent you the message that is that is
- 1:33:25God's Kingdom right there yes. And if you search for it through
- 1:33:31Jake Paul just came out that he's Christian.
- 1:33:32Well, yeah, you also just some 40 million, like $40 million for
- 1:33:35people over a fake fighter, Khloe Kardashian.
- 1:33:37Yeah, she spent her whole life doing all this other stuff and
- 1:33:39now she sees that it's trendy and she's going to do it.
- 1:33:41That's. And then so that's the the
- 1:33:45conflict I have is you're always supposed to promote it and bring
- 1:33:49it, bring people to to Christ. And I see something like that.
- 1:33:54And I'm like, is it worth having those people come to Christ
- 1:33:56because they're supposed to be there, but if you want them to
- 1:33:58come at it, adversity will bring them the pure path versus it
- 1:34:06being put on your head. Hashtag.
- 1:34:09Totally. You know, it's really funny that
- 1:34:12you said that as I just saw that reel yesterday of Khloe
- 1:34:15Kardashian being like, you know, I'm a follower of God, of Jesus.
- 1:34:18And on my jaw, literally, I went What?
- 1:34:24And and that's and. I had a conflict.
- 1:34:25I was like, Bree, you shouldn't be.
- 1:34:27That's good. And I'm like, but is it real?
- 1:34:29But you should, but you should be happy.
- 1:34:31And I literally had a. Conflict right, right.
- 1:34:35And again for me it's not it's not even them as much like
- 1:34:41because when I I prayed, I prayed on it and he was like,
- 1:34:43listen, if they're coming, they're coming like you're
- 1:34:46supposed to spread the word. My fear is for the people that
- 1:34:49follow it for the wrong reasons and again talk about want want
- 1:34:53to do a complete circle. The the adversity is the purest
- 1:34:58form of figuring out God. That is.
- 1:35:03So the adversity of, of that personal struggle can't be
- 1:35:08faith. No, anybody could say, oh, I'm,
- 1:35:11I'm a follower of God and I'm a Christian now and all this other
- 1:35:13stuff. I will tell you that the people
- 1:35:15that come out of that hole overcome those obstacles, get
- 1:35:19through that animosity and that adversity.
- 1:35:22You could see them, that they're different.
- 1:35:26They don't have to tell you. You can see it.
- 1:35:29You read Energy you. Know 100% and that is a person
- 1:35:33that wants to be better and wants and and doesn't care.
- 1:35:38Like I don't tell people I'm Christian because I want them to
- 1:35:42like me. I tell them because it's my job
- 1:35:44to spread the word. I don't say it because Khloe
- 1:35:47Kardashian said I don't say it because Jake Paul said I don't
- 1:35:50say. And to me that.
- 1:35:51And that's something that I'm still kind of battling with.
- 1:35:55It's like, what are you, what are you doing there, guy?
- 1:35:57Like, because people don't like you right now, you're going to
- 1:36:00do that in the hope that people will start to if you're trying
- 1:36:03to gain fans, you're saying it, there's there's, there's gospel,
- 1:36:08there's, there's writings on that.
- 1:36:10That's you'll deal with what you deal with when you deal with it
- 1:36:12because that's not acceptable. But also if it brings, if it
- 1:36:17brings a million people to to Christ and two of them are pure
- 1:36:21of heart and the other ones go away.
- 1:36:23That was their decision, but they had the opportunity.
- 1:36:26But I just hope that they realize it's a personal journey.
- 1:36:30It is. It is and you know, and in
- 1:36:35thinking about the Khloe Kardashian thing or not thing,
- 1:36:38she's a person. Sorry, I'm an.
- 1:36:43Asshole. No, she was a person.
- 1:36:45I respect everybody. This is a podcast of respect.
- 1:36:48However, some I have some things I'd like.
- 1:36:51If she would, I would like to talk to her about.
- 1:36:53Yeah. Yeah, sure.
- 1:36:54Come talk. I then I'm thinking maybe
- 1:36:57privately that level of fame, maybe, maybe it's torture.
- 1:37:03Maybe she really. Needs God.
- 1:37:05I mean real, but maybe you know what?
- 1:37:08I'm saying that's what I, that's what I pray, that's what we
- 1:37:11pray. That's, I pray that that's a
- 1:37:14genuine part and that she follows up with her actions, the
- 1:37:17words that she's saying. Build on it, build on it, build
- 1:37:22on just like I. Hope it grows into something
- 1:37:25incredible. That would be actually she can
- 1:37:29take help the planet with the following.
- 1:37:31She has, you know, a. 100% and, and, and again, it's, it's so
- 1:37:37everybody who's listening, these are the struggles you deal with
- 1:37:40in the faith. And it's not negative.
- 1:37:43It's wait a second, that doesn't make sense.
- 1:37:45Let me talk to God about it. Bring it right back to let me
- 1:37:48talk to God about it because I don't care what other people,
- 1:37:50other people's opinions are. What is God going to tell me?
- 1:37:55Yes. And those are the little things,
- 1:37:57because this is a Gray area issue.
- 1:37:59It's not black and white. Yeah.
- 1:38:03But the answer is not going to come from your phone.
- 1:38:07It's not going to come from anything else.
- 1:38:09It's not going to come from your friend's opinions.
- 1:38:11It's going to come from him. So cut the middle man and go to
- 1:38:14him. Go, Just go.
- 1:38:16Yeah. Anything else that said
- 1:38:18yesterday, someone, I think it was a pastor named Christine
- 1:38:21something. She's amazing.
- 1:38:23Maybe it was Joyce Meyer one of them.
- 1:38:25I just, there's so many amazing passwords.
- 1:38:27I'm like, I love you all. And we take in so much every
- 1:38:32day. You just it's confusing.
- 1:38:34If Joyce Meyer walked in, I would fan girl.
- 1:38:37I'd be like I just that woman is hilarious and just amazing.
- 1:38:44But see, look at Squirrel again. What I think what I'm trying to
- 1:38:48like, literally, Julian's gonna be laughing at it.
- 1:38:51He's gonna be like, you're so hyper, you're so right.
- 1:38:57And I think it's constantly questioning, but also like just
- 1:39:03learning about faith and learning like and consulting
- 1:39:07with friends who are believers and reading and and then like
- 1:39:11it's nothing is ever like when you're Christian, you don't know
- 1:39:14everything. It's just that you're constantly
- 1:39:16working on yourself to be to be like God, right?
- 1:39:20Be as as close to him as you can be, but.
- 1:39:25It's putting, it's putting faith into action.
- 1:39:27There you go. It's putting faith into action.
- 1:39:29And by the way, there's no cookie cutter way of doing that.
- 1:39:34It's different for everyone. That's different for everybody.
- 1:39:37So if there's confusion, it's almost like you're doing it
- 1:39:39right. I saw me the other day that said
- 1:39:42if you're not battling every day, I don't think you're
- 1:39:44getting closer to Christ. You get more attacked.
- 1:39:48You get more attacked and you get more confused and you get
- 1:39:51more in your in your in your mindset and you get more in your
- 1:39:53thought and you get more into not every prayer is after it is
- 1:39:58like that was amazing. Some of them are like, oh man,
- 1:40:01like I'm battling with this right now.
- 1:40:03And if you're not battling, you're not thinking.
- 1:40:06And again, there's the faith of I know what's right, but again,
- 1:40:10understanding why something bothering you or something
- 1:40:12didn't bother you, that's the part of it that makes you the
- 1:40:15adversity to get you better in your faith.
- 1:40:18Because if it just came easy, you wouldn't know why you feel
- 1:40:22like you feel. Yes, Hallelujah.
- 1:40:30I mean, firstly, I just. I feel like I'm getting like a
- 1:40:34master class in like just life. Every time I talk to a guest I'm
- 1:40:38like thank you. It's, it's, it's a, it's a
- 1:40:41beautiful thing. And, and, and like I said, you
- 1:40:43are, you're a blessing to the world for creating this.
- 1:40:45It's, it's, it's, it's so important.
- 1:40:48It's so important. Well, you know, I it's so it's,
- 1:40:53I feel like everything has been like, you know how your career,
- 1:40:58like everything in your life LED you up football, all the
- 1:41:01protector all LED you to this. I feel like I'm like, oh, it all
- 1:41:05makes sense now. This is what it is.
- 1:41:07This is all those all the shit dark time that the time 2 1/2
- 1:41:13years ago when I was over in the corner suicidal being I have an
- 1:41:17episode being like, I can't do this.
- 1:41:21And that's the first time when I, I literally not, not it
- 1:41:25wasn't audible, but I felt a presence being like, yes, you
- 1:41:29can and you're not, you're not giving up.
- 1:41:31And like, and, and then all these people appeared in my life
- 1:41:35and my, this friend said, can I pray for you?
- 1:41:38And I'm like, sure, yes, yes, you can.
- 1:41:43So anyway. And but, but that's that is it
- 1:41:47the dark that is it the the dark where you feel like?
- 1:41:51It's over. You're ready, like you're ready,
- 1:41:55like you're ready and and I don't care anymore.
- 1:41:58Nothing matters. And then you just feel like it's
- 1:42:03almost like a, it's like a warmth or like a light and it,
- 1:42:06and it, and it just kind of like wraps you up a little bit and
- 1:42:12you realize that all this other nonsense doesn't matter.
- 1:42:16And again, it's, it's, it's not that it doesn't matter.
- 1:42:21It's not the most important thing.
- 1:42:23And once you, because that's the thing, if you don't have
- 1:42:26something at the center, you're going to wander away from
- 1:42:32everything and could be confused.
- 1:42:33And then what? You're going to wonder why
- 1:42:34you're lost? Were you lost because you forgot
- 1:42:36where the center was exactly? That's why you feel.
- 1:42:39Empty because you can go to the center and then go out a little
- 1:42:42bit, look back and remember This is why you're doing it.
- 1:42:45If you just wander aimlessly, you're not going to know where
- 1:42:47you are. And then how do you start again?
- 1:42:50So what does that mean you do makes you do stuff that you
- 1:42:52don't want to do or think thoughts you don't want to think
- 1:42:54or, or you just it, it compiles. It's a slippery slope and all
- 1:43:00you've got to do is close your eyes and just open your heart
- 1:43:04and just say I'm ready. And there's no, there's no
- 1:43:09manual, manual to it. Because some people like gotta
- 1:43:11go to the desk. You gotta do the no, no, no.
- 1:43:13You'll know when the connection's there.
- 1:43:15And that relationship will build the way that you build it with
- 1:43:18it. And you will, because he wants
- 1:43:21it. God, you will.
- 1:43:22He wants it. He's ready.
- 1:43:24You're not you. You haven't lost him.
- 1:43:26You'll never lose him. No, you can't.
- 1:43:28He's he's always right on the other side of that thought.
- 1:43:31That's. A beautiful That's another
- 1:43:35shirt. He's right on the other side of
- 1:43:36that thought. Yep.
- 1:43:40OK, that's it. I'm retiring.
- 1:43:44This is the last episode. We're done.
- 1:43:47We're doing a fashion line and we're retiring. 100% yeah, we're
- 1:43:50going to be. We'll be in Paris next week.
- 1:43:52Oh my gosh, no, it's he's right. On the other, it's, you don't
- 1:43:57have to like, because I, I follow, I follow like God behind
- 1:44:02bars. I, I follow things where I'm
- 1:44:04like, you can be really far gone and he's going, I, you repent
- 1:44:10and you can start again. Like it's not bullshit.
- 1:44:13Like you can, you can be suffering from anxiety.
- 1:44:16He's right there. You can be.
- 1:44:20Yeah, that's he's right. There, your world can be
- 1:44:22crumbling, or your world can be the most bountiful.
- 1:44:25Both times he's there. And by the way, he's got the
- 1:44:27same hand for both people. Totally, totally, totally, Adam.
- 1:44:35And, and, and that's the part that people really got to
- 1:44:38accept. Stop overthinking it.
- 1:44:40Stop doing this, stop doing that.
- 1:44:42He has been waiting for you your whole life to just say yes.
- 1:44:47And he has seen everything that you've done, and he still just
- 1:44:50wants to say, yes, I got to tell you, I'm signing up for that,
- 1:44:57that deal every day of the week. Like that is the purest form of
- 1:45:01love. And then you start.
- 1:45:04And for you. Yeah, you know that.
- 1:45:07I didn't start to go on your walk as my my guest.
- 1:45:10Her hand said, she's 70 years old and she's like from Texas.
- 1:45:13And she's like now Bree, I know you're just starting on your
- 1:45:15walk now. And I'm like, yes, I am.
- 1:45:19And she's like, all of a sudden when you say yes to God, even if
- 1:45:23you're on your knees going, OK, yes, whatever this guy Adam and
- 1:45:26Bree said to say yes, who are you and what do I do now?
- 1:45:30Just watch who starts to come into your life and then send
- 1:45:34send us a message. Some guy will pray.
- 1:45:39Just watch. Don't things start to happen?
- 1:45:44And here's The thing is, is that he, he's had that for you his
- 1:45:48whole life. Your whole life.
- 1:45:51It's been there. You just got to say yes to it.
- 1:45:54And, and, and again, the beauty of energy and the beauty of
- 1:45:58angels and the beauty of all this other stuff is they could
- 1:46:01have been there the whole time, but you were sewing your own
- 1:46:03head. You didn't think to look like my
- 1:46:10again, I deal with all types of people like when I'm in my
- 1:46:13social life and stuff like that. If I'm always the first a
- 1:46:16homeless person, this or you know this, see God in every
- 1:46:21person that you deal with. See God in the best and the
- 1:46:25worst, but just remember that these are just what would he do
- 1:46:32if he saw somebody struggling or does this or do that?
- 1:46:35But, and again, this is probably a story for a whole another day.
- 1:46:38Then you get into that guilt of like, oh, I could have helped
- 1:46:41him more or I should have done that.
- 1:46:44You'll manage it. Just have faith.
- 1:46:49Let him in and let him take over, and everything else is
- 1:46:54manageable. I living proof of that.
- 1:46:58I think we both are, you know, and.
- 1:47:02I'm proud to be and proud to be like I.
- 1:47:05I, I will sing it from a mountain tops.
- 1:47:07He saved my life more times than I can say and I wouldn't be half
- 1:47:11the men I am. Same same I woman, but you know
- 1:47:17that's. Right.
- 1:47:19Where can. We start in there.
- 1:47:20OK, Yeah, yeah, that's a whole other podcast.
- 1:47:24God is like you're done. Now, yeah, yeah, you're doing
- 1:47:27well. You're doing well.
- 1:47:28Stuff up, up, up. I'm.
- 1:47:30Like oh, OK. I'm too far OK, cool.
- 1:47:33No, Adam, I I don't know where to stop talking because I feel
- 1:47:38like I could keep keep talking and ask you 100 more questions,
- 1:47:42but can I end with one question as.
- 1:47:47And maybe it's just sort of like it's we've talked about faith,
- 1:47:53we've talked about your security, we've talked about
- 1:47:55your purpose, your life. And I think faith as a driver
- 1:48:01and everything, right? Clearly I just lost my trace
- 1:48:13from like a keeping. OK, so you're keeping, you keep
- 1:48:16yourself in line with faith and all of that.
- 1:48:19The question I'm trying to ask is like when you're moving about
- 1:48:22the world, what are some tips that you have just in general
- 1:48:28for people to keep themselves aware and safe in their
- 1:48:33environment? We know how to connect our soul.
- 1:48:36You got to talk to God, be be around the right people.
- 1:48:39When we're day-to-day moving around, what kinds of things
- 1:48:42should be, We be aware of our environment, like to keep
- 1:48:45ourselves safe. I think, I think there's there's
- 1:48:492, two major ones. Number one is the theory of
- 1:48:52trusting your gut. It's it's a highly undervalued
- 1:48:57thing. If something seems off, not
- 1:49:01necessarily it is, but there's a reason you're feeling that way.
- 1:49:04There might be something that you saw that that subconsciously
- 1:49:07you didn't see something feels wrong.
- 1:49:09If something acts wrong. Here's the thing, you, you get
- 1:49:13one chance at this life, like listen to yourself.
- 1:49:16Like if you see something that looks off, say I can manage it.
- 1:49:21That doesn't help you. Avoidance, awareness making,
- 1:49:27making decisions that will keep you out of situations.
- 1:49:31That's the one thing, especially with the bigger guys, is why I
- 1:49:34can handle this. Why?
- 1:49:35Why would you want to? Like, why would you put yourself
- 1:49:37in a bad position? Why would you?
- 1:49:40Who are you? Who are you proving anything to?
- 1:49:43And why would you risk it like so?
- 1:49:46So again, trusting yourself, listening to the social cues,
- 1:49:51listening to something that seems off, if it seems off and
- 1:49:54it can't be explained, then maybe it was just something.
- 1:49:57But why try to figure it out? Do you have other stuff you have
- 1:50:00to do? Like stop trying to figure out
- 1:50:01the social situation, Just remove yourself from it.
- 1:50:04And the other thing that this is going to be a rough one for the
- 1:50:07younger generation, put your phone away while you're walking,
- 1:50:11while you're doing stuff. How distracted people are by
- 1:50:16phones? How do people are distracted by
- 1:50:18all these little things? They've done tests on how far
- 1:50:23they can get somebody walking right next to somebody on and
- 1:50:26they'll be on the phone and they'll walk somebody next to
- 1:50:28them. It'll be 2-3 blocks before they
- 1:50:30realize that person's even there because they're so zoned in to
- 1:50:33that because that's entertainment for a lot of
- 1:50:37people. This is life.
- 1:50:38This is my life is in my phone. I didn't notice the guy who's
- 1:50:42been following me for two blocks.
- 1:50:43I didn't. I was walking to my car.
- 1:50:45I didn't notice the guy standing on the other side of my car
- 1:50:47because I was watching the the latest YouTube or whatever it
- 1:50:50is. Put it away.
- 1:50:52Why you're making movements in public.
- 1:50:55Put your phone away. Great.
- 1:50:58Tip. I mean, it's just the way.
- 1:51:00Because. You outlined it, it's almost
- 1:51:03like why it's such a risk, especially if you have kids too.
- 1:51:07You're getting them the advantage, you're giving them
- 1:51:09the advantage. If somebody has a plot against
- 1:51:11you and you've now basically thrown those horse blinders on,
- 1:51:16you became a much bigger target. And by the way, most criminals,
- 1:51:21most predators, most this most that are going to pick the
- 1:51:26easiest pred. So if you're up and looking
- 1:51:29around and aware you're not somebody they're going to want
- 1:51:32to deal with. If there's somebody walking on
- 1:51:34their phone, much easier target. Even the illusion of being aware
- 1:51:42of what's going on will deter them more body.
- 1:51:46Language. Right, Body language, being
- 1:51:47aware, looking around. Somebody looks at you, you look
- 1:51:49at that for a second and you look away, you look back and
- 1:51:52they're still looking. There's a situation there.
- 1:51:54Now it's either an attractive situation, they recognize the
- 1:51:57situation. It's But now I have somebody in
- 1:52:00my immediate area that is now focused on me.
- 1:52:03What steps am I going to take from this point?
- 1:52:05Oh, that's the lady from church. Hey, how are you?
- 1:52:09I don't know that person. Maybe I should go the other way
- 1:52:13because that person seems super interested in me for some
- 1:52:15reason. Follow that gut.
- 1:52:18Yeah. Little things.
- 1:52:19That doesn't seem right. I'm not going that way or that
- 1:52:23doesn't seem right. Let me go back into the
- 1:52:24restaurant for a minute or so before I go to my car.
- 1:52:27Life. Life saving tips.
- 1:52:32Literally 100% and again, the beauty of me going from clubs to
- 1:52:37to executive protection was the years of being able to read
- 1:52:42crowds, social situations like just your environment and then
- 1:52:47putting it into skill sets of advanced work and all these
- 1:52:50other. Whole I mean the.
- 1:52:51Ethical nonsense? Yeah, there's like a whole.
- 1:52:55Just it's a whole discipline, learned everything.
- 1:52:58It's it's and, and again, we're learning more and more every
- 1:53:01day. This is the part of the we're
- 1:53:05getting into the Super like the IT stuff.
- 1:53:08I hate computers. I hate all that other stuff.
- 1:53:10But like even for us now it's a mandatory thing for us to learn
- 1:53:13these things because the world is getting smaller through
- 1:53:16screens, through electronics or all this other stuff.
- 1:53:19And you have to be aware of everything that you plug into
- 1:53:22everything. You put something in there and
- 1:53:24it's listen, dude, God, God will protect us.
- 1:53:28But it's kind of it's, it's like they say, God will put you in
- 1:53:30the robo, but you've got to, you've got to paddle like you
- 1:53:36got, you have to do the work yourself 100%.
- 1:53:38Part God wants to enter I heard this either wants to enter into
- 1:53:42that partnership with you so that you guys can roll together
- 1:53:46a. 100%. But it's.
- 1:53:48A concern it's you have to help out, be be part of the team,
- 1:53:52Brett friend, or else you're not going to get anything out of.
- 1:53:54It or putting in the next player, yeah. 100%.
- 1:53:58It's so when you break it down to those analogies and just
- 1:54:01those. Thank you for sharing those tips
- 1:54:03because just as a woman, as a person, I mean every person,
- 1:54:07right? But especially if you know, it's
- 1:54:09going to remind me when I'm out and and the illusion of false
- 1:54:13sense of security because I'm in suburbia, it doesn't matter,
- 1:54:16right? I mean, you, I have to always be
- 1:54:17aware no matter where I am, right?
- 1:54:19Right. Right.
- 1:54:20And I'm not, I'm going to try to keep this as as good energy as
- 1:54:24possible. You're not safe anywhere.
- 1:54:26It's, it's, there's all different types.
- 1:54:28There's all, there's all different types of threats, but
- 1:54:30there are some places that are safer than others and stuff like
- 1:54:33that. But again, we have to take
- 1:54:34responsibility in our own safety.
- 1:54:37Yes, Because at the end of the day, if there's two people
- 1:54:39drowning, the other person's not coming to save you.
- 1:54:42They're, they're going to let you drown.
- 1:54:44Like you are responsible for the safety and the safety of the
- 1:54:47ones you love. And again, I don't need you to
- 1:54:50go out and John Wick people, but just to make smart, like make
- 1:54:53smart decisions. Have your keys ready in your
- 1:54:56hand when you go to the car and stuff like that.
- 1:54:58If there's people hanging around your car, guess what?
- 1:55:00Walk past it, walk past it, go back in like you forgot
- 1:55:04something. They they might not be there for
- 1:55:07anything, but if they are. Then you just avoid.
- 1:55:10It you now avoided it. You, you, you've avoided it,
- 1:55:13right? Yeah.
- 1:55:13It's the yes, yes. And again, the, the, the other
- 1:55:19change in society that I, that I like is don't be afraid to ask
- 1:55:22for help. There, there are, there are,
- 1:55:25there is a huge rise and, and I'd love to see it guys getting
- 1:55:31back to regular respect, civility and stuff like that.
- 1:55:36If if you were in a situation and and you don't ask for help,
- 1:55:39people can't help you. Yes.
- 1:55:43You can't, A closed mouth doesn't get fed.
- 1:55:46If you think that there's something wrong and there's a
- 1:55:48guy there or somebody you know, hey, do you mind walking me to
- 1:55:50my car real quick? First of all, I'm going to, I'm
- 1:55:53going to tell you from my point of view, A, it's just a smart
- 1:55:56move and B, the guy's going to feel.
- 1:55:59It's going to feel really. You chose him to protect you on
- 1:56:01your wrist set. You made his day and it made you
- 1:56:04safe. And again, it's not foolproof,
- 1:56:08but asking a guy to walk you to your car, it takes 2 minutes for
- 1:56:14him, makes him feel good, makes you feel safe, everybody.
- 1:56:17Wants you know what you're connect.
- 1:56:18You just connected with a human being and at our heart we want
- 1:56:21we are here to help each other. That's that's the reason we're
- 1:56:25here. We all die with 0 money $0.00
- 1:56:28That's right. It doesn't matter how many bags
- 1:56:30I have or blah blah blah. There's no U-Haul behind the
- 1:56:34hearse. I mean, it's great.
- 1:56:37Enjoy your stuff but like at the end of the day you're going to
- 1:56:39feel so good. Also when you help someone or
- 1:56:44when you ask for help, you're respecting yourself right?
- 1:56:46Like I need help, I need help. And by the way, it doesn't make
- 1:56:50you any less. No, that's the thing.
- 1:56:52It's, it's we've almost vilified being a good person, like, or
- 1:56:58being somebody who believes in things like I, I, yeah, I'd be
- 1:57:04mad if somebody I knew walked through the car and didn't ask
- 1:57:06me. I'd be mad if they didn't do it
- 1:57:08because they felt like they were less.
- 1:57:10It's not about that. It is one of the most carnal
- 1:57:14things in the world to protect yourself.
- 1:57:16Yes, yes. Allow it to happen.
- 1:57:19Allow it to happen. Well, I would love, I would
- 1:57:22definitely ask you to walk me to my car if I saw you and I feel
- 1:57:27I'd be like. I'm good at it.
- 1:57:29I think I think he's a good choice.
- 1:57:31Yeah, 100%, yeah. And, and by the way, like I
- 1:57:34said, I, I, I'm, I'm happy to do it.
- 1:57:37And I and I, and I surely do think that we need to get back
- 1:57:41to it's, it's, it's amazing to me what people think is this
- 1:57:45beautiful glorified gentleman stuff opening doors.
- 1:57:48Like if somebody needs something carried, you carry it, do a
- 1:57:50couple extra stuff. That stuff used to be the base
- 1:57:53foundational stuff. Now people are like, oh, you're
- 1:57:56such a good person. I don't know.
- 1:57:57That's the core. Like that's that's 41.
- 1:58:01Like, yeah, we're the Empire State.
- 1:58:02That's 41. But again, it's it's people are
- 1:58:05getting back to it and it pleases and thank yous and
- 1:58:08hellos and how you doings and eye contact and stuff like that.
- 1:58:12It changes the whole game because once you see other
- 1:58:15people doing it, as much as it goes down, it goes up too.
- 1:58:20If you raise your standard, people will raise it with you,
- 1:58:22yeah. Oh, what is it?
- 1:58:23Yeah, the what's that? The The the tide rises to the
- 1:58:27boat. The boat.
- 1:58:29Absolutely, yeah. That's the tide rises and sets
- 1:58:31by whatever, whatever. Water and the Yeah.
- 1:58:34Yeah, yeah, 50% but but old people, but but hold people to
- 1:58:40that kind of stuff. And again, it's not asking for
- 1:58:43much. It's not asking for much.
- 1:58:45And again, you that that's the other side of it is that that
- 1:58:49little endorphin release of helping somebody the moment of
- 1:58:54thank you so much. I really, I really appreciate
- 1:58:56that it's. Great.
- 1:58:57People saying thank you for stuff that you do is amazing,
- 1:59:02but you have to do it too. Like offers.
- 1:59:05There's a lady struggling with her bags.
- 1:59:07Excuse me miss, I don't. Do you need help?
- 1:59:11Go out of your way. 100% And if she wants to do the whole, I got
- 1:59:14it. OK, fine.
- 1:59:15I I ioffer nothing, I can do it. Yeah, yeah, God told me to do
- 1:59:20the that's what God want me to do.
- 1:59:22If you're going to battle the three bags because of whatever
- 1:59:26power rights or whatever, I want to make sure that you know that
- 1:59:29I'm here if you need me. Totally, totally, Adam, I'm
- 1:59:36looking up here and we were like, yeah, 45 minutes an hour
- 1:59:39and now we're. Yeah, 100%.
- 1:59:40We'll wrap it up real quick. Oh, wow, it's two hours good for
- 1:59:43us. And that felt very, that felt
- 1:59:45very, very short. Well, sure, that was slow and
- 1:59:49that was the flow. I wanna and and I literally
- 1:59:52wanna thank you so much because I feel like this has been I, I,
- 2:00:00I made a friend. We're we're buddies.
- 2:00:02I feel like I've learned a lot and I also it also.
- 2:00:05I I feel like when I meet people who are like walking with God,
- 2:00:08it's even, it's just even more confident.
- 2:00:12It's good to find your tribe. It's good to find your tribe.
- 2:00:15Yeah, 100. Percent sending me people I'm
- 2:00:16like, huh, yeah, right. He's like I told you, I told
- 2:00:21you. And, and again, this is what,
- 2:00:23what it's about is finding people of, of it's just good
- 2:00:28people, just good people, good people of faith and all this
- 2:00:31other stuff. And it's not forced and it's
- 2:00:32not, it's not, it's not anything but good energy and, and, and
