- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Steve Turley, join me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Why did you sell us a dream?
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: You made a spent, our youth, our world.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: In this country and gave us a dream.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: You don't owe us anything.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: We have worked hard for it.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Then how can you as a vice president?
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: stand there and say that we have too many of them now and we are going to take them out to people who are here rightfully so by paying the money that you guys asked us.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: You gave us the pat and now can know how can you stop it and tell us we don't belong here anymore.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: The answer you're about to hear is could absolutely blow you away.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: This is actually a video clip that comes from some months back, but since news broke of Ilhan Omar's house getting rated by Homeland Security, I could see why this clip is starting to go viral yet again.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: The answer to that JD gives here to shut down this Greta Thunberg wannabe.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: You stole my dreams.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: How dare you?
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: How dare you?
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: simply could not have been more perfect and I'm going to show you exactly how this is the immigration policy of the future, not just here, but all throughout the Western world.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: I can believe that the United States should lower its levels of immigration in the future while also respecting
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: that there are people who have come here through immigration path, lawful immigration pathways that have contributed to the country.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: But just because one person or 10 people or 100 people came in legally and contributed to the United States of America, does that mean that we're thereby committed to let in a million or 10 million or 100 million people a year in the future?
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's not right.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: We cannot have, I'll go and finish.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: We cannot have an immigration policy where what was good for the country
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: binds the country inevitably for the future.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: There's too many people who want to come to the United States of America, and my job as Vice President is not to look out for the interest of the whole world.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's to look out for the people of the United States.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: Now.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: Indeed.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: Now that answer that you just heard their cuts through all the emotional fog with one vital distinction, respecting legal immigrants does not require America to accept unlimited immigration forever.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: There's a categorical difference between respecting legal migrants that are already here in the country and leaving in place in immigration policy that's simply unsustainable for the vast majority of the nation.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: Immigration policy is not a lifetime entitlement granted to the entire world.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's a sovereign choice that each generation of Americans has the right to reconsider.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: Europe is going through the exact same thing right now.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just consider the extraordinary scale of demographic change that's happened to our country in the last several decades.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: So, in 1970, America's foreign-born population stood at 9.6 million, just
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: 4.7% of our country.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: By 2024, it had surpassed 50 million and reached 15% of the population, the highest share ever recorded, and an all-time record in raw numbers.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: More recently, net immigration surge from an annual average of 920,000 during 2010 to 2019.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: to 3.5 million in 2023 during the Biden years.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: And this demographic alteration is profoundly changed our country.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: We saw it most recently in New York.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: Foreign-born voters overwhelmingly voted for Mamdoni, whereas US-born voters voted overwhelmingly against him.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: you don't have to be a genius to figure out that importing the third world inevitably results in third world tribalisms that eventually express themselves politically.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: And our nation simply becomes culturally and socially unrecognizable.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you don't know,
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: This transformation began in the 1960s, it followed the 1965 Immigration Reforms, which abolished the old national origins quota system, and prioritized family reunification, employment skills, and refugee admissions.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever one thinks of the reforms,
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: know the democracy is obligated to treat their consequences as irreversible.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: And so this is where scholars like political scientists and our Kaufman have shown that wherever you have rapid demographic change, you have a mass public backlash against that mass immigration.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: We found that
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: Here, for example, back in 2016, Donald Trump got his highest vote share from counties that experienced the most dramatic demographic disruption over the past decade.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Again, this wasn't what liberal globalists thought it would be.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: They thought,
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: They actually believe that by pouring migrants by the millions into these working-class counties that they would inevitably dilute the white vote.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: But if anything, they only ended up hardening it.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: The white working-class counties that experience the most dramatic and disrupted demographic change due to unfettered immigration were the ones most likely to vote for Trump.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: And we're seeing this all across the West, particularly in Europe.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: France and Sweden and Germany and Spain when immigration outpaces assimilation and public consent social trust weakens and national politics destabilizes and the only solution is scale back on immigration slowing the rate of change reduces that internal political conflict and that is JD Vance's central point immigrants may contribute enormously no question
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: to its citizens, and its government's first responsibility is to them.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: But it's what JD had to say about illegal immigration, that was perhaps the most powerful response of all.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: Let me ask you something.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Are you feeling the pain at the pump, the same pain I'm feeling every time I try to fill up my car and it's not just gas, it's food costs, it's accessories, literally everything.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: The money you work so hard for disappears before you can even save it, spend it on your family or let alone invest it in your future.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the secret that the globalist elites don't want you thinking about.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: They're not standing at the pump, wondering how they're going to pay the bill.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: They built this global system.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: They create chaos, and while hardworking families absorb the cost, they use that same chaos to their advantage.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: But what if you could flip the script?
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: What if you could learn a simple step-by-step skill from home that could help you benefit when prices spike instead of merely being hurt by them?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: A skill you could practice a little bit each and every day giving you greater confidence, more choices, and a potential way to make money from home.

- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're bright, beautiful future is waiting.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go get it.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: I can believe that we should have lower immigration levels, but if the United States passed the law and made a promise to somebody, the United States of course has to honor that promise.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody's talking about that.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking about people who came in in violation of the laws of the United States of America, and I'm talking about in the future reducing the number.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: If you ask the question, what is the exact right number of immigrants for the United States to let in?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: It is just very specific on the context.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: If you go back to the 1920s, the United States passed an immigration reform act that effectively cut down immigration to close to zero for 40 years in this country.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: And what happened over those 40 years?
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: The many, many people who had come from many different foreign countries and different foreign cultures
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: And there was an expectation that they would assimilate into American culture.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think we have two problems in our immigration system today.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: And my guess is you're probably a slightly more leftist political persuasion, liberal political persuasion, maybe not.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: But here's the thing.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: I remember back in my establishment GOP days, when I was still very early getting involved in Republican politics, I remember
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: a conservative think tank person who told me that one of the reasons why immigration was really good is that if you had enough diversity in a country, people would miss trust each other and they wouldn't join labor unions.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay?
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: So when I see a lot of left-wing people who theoretically support organized labor saying we need to flood the country with a limitless number of immigrants, they're unwilling to set any limitations on it.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: My response to that is you were destroying the very social trust on which American freedom and prosperity was built.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: And that is really important.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: Now, again, JD absolutely nailed that.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: One of the most significant consequences of mass immigration is a loss of trust in society, without which there is no basis for social order.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: A very interesting study came out of Sweden that surveyed interpersonal trust
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: among the Swedish population between the years 2014 and 2017 before and after the refugee crisis of 2015 when Sweden received per capita the most amount of refugees of any country in Europe.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: and the study found that the confidence and faith that Swedes had in their neighbors, as it were, which is a key gauge of social trust, decreased significantly in 23 municipalities, that 60% of their municipalities and the study found a very clear, converse relationship and that the more the refugees in a particular municipality, the lower the social trust.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: There's really no way around this, and again, we saw it reproduced politically in the 2016 election.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: Counties had experienced the most disruptive and extreme demographic change, rebelled against the establishment, and they voted for Trump.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: But the loss, trust, and what liberal globalists were telling them about the virtues of unfettered immigration, both legal and illegal ended up having those populations turned to an outsider.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: And J.D.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: said something else here that was so key.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, Republicans were in on this.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: The pre-Trump Republican Party was every bit as committed to open borders as were Democrats.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: The Democrats were getting free votes, but the Republicans were better.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Their donors were getting cheap labor.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that's how we ended up with such an insane immigration system, again, both legal and illegal.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: And here's how J.D.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: So the honest answer to your question, what is the exact number of immigrants America should accept in the future?
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: Right now the answer is far less than we've been accepting.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: We've got to become a common community again and you can't do that when you have such high numbers of immigration, which is one of the reasons why we have the immigration policy we do.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the bottom line answer for both legal and illegal immigration.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: We simply cannot function as a nation without a common culture.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: Culture is the cult of a nation.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: A common culture is the sacred that binds together a diverse and dispersed population into a common people.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: And historically, that was understood in relation to nationhood.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: The word comes from the Latin natio, which is related to nativity, the place of one's birth.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: So this is why what JD just argued for there is becoming the law of the land in virtually every Western nation.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: A number of articles have been written of late on the supposed normalization of the so-called far-right Europe, or even leftist parties.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: like the social democrats in Denmark are advocating some of the strictest immigration policies in the on the continent that this is at why it's utterly absurd to refer to the populist parties as far right there is mainstream as you can possibly come every single polling Europe and in the United States every single one.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: shows concerns over unfettered rampant immigration as one of the top concerns, if not the top concern among populations.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: This is why border security is now becoming increasingly normative.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: Leftists can whine and complain all they want.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: The populace right has won the argument.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: And if responses like JDs or any indicator, that victory will be for the foreseeable future.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: Decisive.
