- 0:01I dream and have dreamed about tornadoes often.
- 0:05What does that mean?
- 0:06And I often wondered that to myself.
- 0:10I did some research and found that since tornadoes are typically frightening and destructive, they could symbolize all kinds of things, and that's why we're gonna talk about today.
- 0:21You're listening to the Stop the Minds Screw podcast.

- 0:45Today we are discussing Tornado Dreams, a specific dream I had and how it relates to my new book.
- 0:52Coming soon, The Truth Bubbles Up.
- 0:57Now, let's get into the episode.
- 1:00I have dreamt.
- 1:02About tornadoes.
- 1:03For as long as I can remember, these dreams have actually become warning signals to me that something tragic is about to happen and something is about to change forever.
- 1:15The dreams are not always the same, but when I see a tornado on the news, I honestly feel like I have seen it before and I have in my dreams.
- 1:27Sometimes I'm a very afraid in these dreams, but oftentimes I see the tornado approaching and I feel, or I even say,"Here it comes again.
- 1:37I've seen this before.
- 1:39Don't worry.
- 1:40We will all be fine".
- 1:42To me, this is very funny, but always the tornado dream is meaningful.
- 1:51The story I tell you today is about a very specific tornado dream I had and have had several times, and it is the very beginning of my book called The Truth Bubbles Up and it's coming soon.

- 2:22And let's proceed with the story.
- 2:26An ominous tornado is coming my way.
- 2:28I see it in the distance.
- 2:30Kyle and Kody are young children and I am headed to the cellar for safety.
- 2:35Objects are flying everywhere.
- 2:37I'm actually able to grab Kody he's my youngest.
- 2:41I grab Kyle by the hand, but the wind is just too strong.
- 2:45It sucks him away from me.
- 2:48I am forced to make a decision, save Kody and close the cellar door, or go try to find Kyle and risk losing everything, including my life I choose to save Kody.
- 3:01The tornado quickly subsides and we open the cellar door to find the sun shining on all the broken glass that is everywhere.
- 3:11It is eerily quiet and oddly beautiful.
- 3:16I step outside avoiding the broken pieces of glass with every step praying deeply that I find Kyle alive.
- 3:26All of a sudden, Kyle jumps out from behind a blown over tree.
- 3:29He's perfectly fine.
- 3:31He even tells me,"I'm fine, mom, why were you even worried?" I dream about tornadoes.
- 3:38Often they have come to be warning dreams for me.
- 3:43Tornadoes are menacing characters.
- 3:45They destroy everything in their paths.
- 3:47However, they can be things very close by that go untouched.
- 3:54My tornado dreams symbolize change for me.
- 3:57Most often it is good change, but that doesn't mean the change will be fun.
- 4:01And just like with any tornado, some things change forever.
- 4:07In the movie Titanic, there is a part where the poor families are left down below with the forbidden knowing that the ship is going to sink.
- 4:16A mother rocks her young child and sings a song.
- 4:19I can't remember if she says this or not, but it does happen in the movies.
- 4:24"I will not ever let you die." When we all know they are going to die.
- 4:30How can a mother remain so calm?
- 4:34And she knows she's going to perish along with her children.
- 4:38While I do not know the actual death part, I do know about the death of a dream for my children only to, well.
- 4:50Excerpt from the book coming soon, The truth bubbles up.
- 4:55I do research on my dreams often, and I researched a tornado dream.
- 5:00And I included this in the blog post that goes with this episode, as well as I'm gonna talk about it right here.
- 5:08A tornado may mean one thing to you and quite another to someone else.
- 5:12Since tornadoes are typically frightening and destructive, they could symbolize the following things, emotional struggle and anxiety.
- 5:21Feeling overwhelmed and fearing change.
- 5:25An out of control situation.
- 5:27That one definitely applies.
- 5:31Something in your life that's being destroyed.
- 5:34Upheaval major change.
- 5:37Or something big and powerful.
- 5:40Or even a dramatic end to something in your life paving way for a new beginning.
- 5:47Watching a tornado from afar may signify something different from a tornado raging around you.
- 5:54And if you've lived through a tornado in your waking life, dreaming about them could be a sign of post traumatic stress disorder I was diagnosed with complex post-traumatic stress disorder in 2004, and this came from years of abuse at the hands of a very narcissistic man.
- 6:13He definitely signifies my waking life through a tornado.
- 6:18Today, I have deep compassion for this man.
- 6:21I oddly admit.
- 6:23But there is something inherently wrong with the way this man treated me and my children, not only while I was married to him, but even worse the way he treated me and my children post divorce.
- 6:38You know, a narcissist will very rarely change because narcissists see the cause of their problems as external due to their defenses of denial, distortion, and projection.
- 6:52Their ability to look at themselves introspectively or look at themselves inside is limited.
- 6:59And I can honestly testify to this.
- 7:03I lived it.
- 7:05My tornado dreams definitely serve as warning dreams.
- 7:08But as you just heard, I was the only one left changing.
- 7:13In fact, I changed so much that today I teach others how to overcome situations like this using the Stop the Mind Screw Process.
- 7:22In fact, my tornado dreams always represents dramatic end to something in my life paving way for a new beginning.
- 7:30And sometimes that new beginning means leaving something or someone very dear and beloved in your life behind.
- 7:39This happens so often to me that now I call it a gift of detachment.
- 7:48A tornado is always a powerful and detrimental force.
- 7:53If your dreams involve family members caught in a tornado, you may be worried about someone close to you.
- 7:58Think about who showed up in your dream and what might be concerning you about them in real life.
- 8:05I have the tornado Dream about Kyle and Kody often, and it is the same dream over and over and over again, and they are actually the same age.
- 8:16Kyle is about eight years old, and Kody is about six years old.
- 8:21To me, that is when the serious upheaval began.
- 8:25As I describe in the book, Kyle has always been very intense.
- 8:30It is part of his dna, and he was intense the second he started moving in the womb.
- 8:38Kody, on the other hand, had serious complications when he was born.
- 8:42I was pregnant with Kody for nine and a half months.
- 8:45Yes, that's correct.
- 8:48Another great story from the book that we will be discussing next week.
- 8:54Why was Kyle so calm in the dream?
- 8:56I often ask, And why did he let go so easily?
- 9:01Well, you'll actually have to read the book to discover that and so much more.
- 9:07It doesn't take a rocket scientist though to figure out that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
- 9:13And I have so much gratitude for those warning dreams.
- 9:19Do you have tornado dreams?
- 9:21If so, what do they mean to you?
- 9:23Leave a comment in on my YouTube video or drop me an email and let's discuss.
