Speaker 4: to Mara Boggs from the Charleston Earry Alliance also representing
• 2:46
Speaker 4: the American Legion Post twenty to talk about some Veterans
• 2:49
Speaker 4: Day stuff. How you doing, Marrow, Welcome to the show.
• 2:51
Speaker 7: Good Monday morning, Dave.
• 2:53
Speaker 4: Last time you were in the studio, it's probably like
• 2:56
Speaker 4: seventy degrees or so.
• 2:57
  Speaker 7: Well, that's right, it's November.
• 2:58
Speaker 4: What what happened? Why did you let this happen? You know? People,
• 3:02
Speaker 4: why did you let this happen?
• 3:03
Speaker 7: I didn't mean to it just slipped right in, all right.
• 3:06
Speaker 4: So you were telling me off the air about your involvement,
• 3:09
Speaker 4: you know, and you've done a variety of different things
• 3:11
Speaker 4: in your career. As I said, you're Charleston your alliance now,
• 3:13
Speaker 4: but you're involved with the American Legion Post twenty lifelong
• 3:17
Speaker 4: member because you are you are a veteran, of course,
• 3:19
Speaker 4: so talk talk about your involvement with the American Legion.
• 3:23
Speaker 7: Well, I'm a lifetime member of the American Legion. I'm
• 3:25
Speaker 7: a combat veteran, and I'll tell you I just really
• 3:28
Speaker 7: respect what the Legion does for God and country. That's
• 3:31
Speaker 7: their motto and that's what they do every day. They
• 3:34
Speaker 7: support veterans, military families, those in need, and they represent
• 3:38
Speaker 7: the best of America. So I'm here today to represent
• 3:41
Speaker 7: Post twenty of the American Legion. They're hosting along with
• 3:45
Speaker 7: Mayor Goodwin and several other esteemed veterans. They're hosting a
• 3:48
Speaker 7: Veterans Day parade the eleventh day, the eleventh hour. We
• 3:51
Speaker 7: commemorate Veterans Day every November, and so this is their
• 3:55
Speaker 7: eighty fourth consecutive parade and ceremony, and it kicks off
• 3:59
Speaker 7: at eleven am, goes down Capitol Street, takes a left
• 4:04
Speaker 7: on Coarrier to Court and back to the river Front,
• 4:07
Speaker 7: and then it'll be followed by a short ceremony commemorating veterans.
• 4:11
Speaker 4: And the good news is is that the weather is
• 4:13
Speaker 4: going to be better. It's going to be cold, but
• 4:15
Speaker 4: it's gonna that's not gonna be doing what it's doing
• 4:17
  Speaker 4: right now.
• 4:18
Speaker 7: I think it's a balmy forty degrees dress warm.
• 4:20
  Speaker 4: It's November, that's right. It's what's supposed to be eighty
• 4:23
Speaker 4: four years that I didn't realize we'd been going on
• 4:26
  Speaker 4: that long.
• 4:26
Speaker 7: I believe there's there was one year that they did
• 4:29
Speaker 7: it virtually during COVID, but they have been commemorating military
• 4:33
Speaker 7: service for eighty four years through this parade on Veterans Day.
• 4:36
  Speaker 7: So it's a it's a pretty special commemoration.
• 4:39
Speaker 4: And it's all happening tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, and it starts
• 4:43
Speaker 4: at eleven eleven am. It's to start to you, that's right, Yeah.
• 4:47
Speaker 7: And then the ceremonial it'll be short. It'll probably be
• 4:50
Speaker 7: around noon at the river.
• 4:51
Speaker 4: Talk about the ceremony, what's going to happen there.
• 4:53
Speaker 7: So we'll go through the Pledge of Allegiance, national anthem.
• 4:57
Speaker 7: We have George Washington JRGC Cadets participating. It's always great
• 5:02
Speaker 7: to see the youth, the next generation of military service.
• 5:05
Speaker 7: We have Mayor Amy Goodwin, our gold Star mother. President
• 5:09
Speaker 7: Rose Shilling will say a few words. Jack van Dijke,
• 5:12
Speaker 7: he's a World War Two veteran. He'll be there tomorrow.
• 5:15
Speaker 7: We'll have him wrapped up in blankets for sure. And
• 5:18
Speaker 7: then we have the Tom Mirabella. He's the head of
• 5:22
Speaker 7: the American Legion for the state. He'll be there as
• 5:25
Speaker 7: well as some congressional representatives, I believe from Senator Justice
• 5:28
Speaker 7: and Senator Capitist Staff. And then we'll hear from Major
• 5:33
Speaker 7: General Crane, former Adjutant General of the West Virginia National Guard.
• 5:37
Speaker 7: I believe General Tackett will be there as well, and
• 5:42
Speaker 7: who knows who else will be there. People just end
• 5:45
Speaker 7: up showing up. They just end up gathering for this ceremony.
• 5:48
Speaker 7: It's always such a special special ceremony.
• 5:50
Speaker 4: It is, and I tell you and listeners have heard
• 5:54
Speaker 4: me talk about it for a long time, and you
• 5:55
Speaker 4: being a combat veteran, of course you know about this.
• 5:57
  Speaker 3: Mara.
• 5:58
Speaker 4: Nobody's ever given more the West Virginia has in this
• 6:01
Speaker 4: entire country. I mean, I mean literally, when you look
• 6:04
Speaker 4: at the numbers per capita, nobody's ever given more. But
• 6:06
Speaker 4: it's not just about that. It's about the way that
• 6:09
Speaker 4: we honor our veterans. I mean, we always always show up.
• 6:11
Speaker 4: I know, City of Nitro's got an event. I think
• 6:13
Speaker 4: going on this evening, there's going to be all over
• 6:15
Speaker 4: the state. There's Veterans Day of activities. If they're not
• 6:18
Speaker 4: actually happening tomorrow, summer moving them, you know, to the weekend,
• 6:20
Speaker 4: some more people can attend. We believe in celebrating our
• 6:24
Speaker 4: veterans in this state.
• 6:25
Speaker 7: And all that Nitro event is such a special special commemoration.
• 6:29
Speaker 7: I've done that through the years. It's wonderful this weekend.
• 6:32
Speaker 7: My sister and I she was she had the cool
• 6:34
Speaker 7: job in the military. She was a black Hawk helicopter
• 6:36
Speaker 7: pilot in Iraq. We served as Grand marshals in the
• 6:40
Speaker 7: Kaiser Veterans Day Parade, because that's where we're from. It
• 6:43
Speaker 7: was so wonderful. I mean, the streets were lined with
• 6:46
Speaker 7: people waving flags. And you know, in West Virginia, it
• 6:49
Speaker 7: seems to me that every day is Veterans Day. Every day.
• 6:54
  Speaker 7: If you aren't a veteran, you're related to a veteran,
• 6:57
Speaker 7: You know a veteran, you love a veteran, and it's
• 6:59
Speaker 7: just who we are as West Virginia. So if you
• 7:02
Speaker 7: have time tomorrow, come out, wave a flag on the
• 7:06
Speaker 7: parade route, or just stop by the ceremony and tell
• 7:09
  Speaker 7: Avet thank you.
• 7:10
Speaker 4: And you mentioned the gentleman who is a World War
• 7:13
Speaker 4: Two veteran. And I've got a little age on me,
• 7:15
Speaker 4: so I remember everybody's patpall as we call them in
• 7:18
Speaker 4: southern West Virginia. Everybody, you know, everybody's grandfather was around
• 7:21
Speaker 4: and they were all World War Two veterans, and some
• 7:23
Speaker 4: would tell stories, some wouldn't, and that's perfectly except well,
• 7:26
Speaker 4: you know how that goes. But through the passage of time,
• 7:29
Speaker 4: you know, we're starting to lose that generation, and eventually
• 7:32
Speaker 4: we're going to lose more than Vietnam or Korea. And
• 7:35
Speaker 4: Vietnam and even you know, on down to Persian Gulf
• 7:37
Speaker 4: and so on and sort of because that's can't stop.
• 7:39
Speaker 4: You can't stop the clock. But I if you do
• 7:44
Speaker 4: have a World War Two veteran that's somewhere in your
• 7:47
Speaker 4: life and your family and your church, again they're disappearing
• 7:51
Speaker 4: quickly because of time, thank them too, because that's truly
• 7:55
Speaker 4: the truly the greatest generation in my opinion.
• 7:58
Speaker 7: I saw this morning. I can't can't recall his name though,
• 8:01
Speaker 7: I just briefly as I was sitting in the green room.
• 8:04
Speaker 7: The last World War Two veteran who was at Pearl
• 8:08
Speaker 7: Harbor passed away this weekend. And of course we had
• 8:12
Speaker 7: Wetzel Sanders from here, we had Woody Williams and so
• 8:16
  Speaker 7: many men.
• 8:17
Speaker 4: And Julian Sockman who just passed away I think within
• 8:20
Speaker 4: the last couple of months, and he was believed to
• 8:22
Speaker 4: be the oldest living Marshall graduate as well. He used
• 8:26
Speaker 4: to come out to the paint the Capital City Green
• 8:28
Speaker 4: events that we do every year and we would always
• 8:30
Speaker 4: recognize him and he passed away not long ago as well.
• 8:32
Speaker 7: Yeah, so what a model of service that generation is.
• 8:37
Speaker 4: Again we're talking to Mara Boggs, representing today American leed
• 8:40
Speaker 4: in Post twenty about the Veterans Day activities tomorrow Charleston
• 8:43
Speaker 4: Dave Island Show and five ety Live is brought to
• 8:44
Speaker 4: you in part by Morga and Morgan, America's largest injury
• 8:47
Speaker 4: law firm. Let's talk about the parade routes.
• 8:50
Speaker 7: Sure thing. Yeah, So the parade lines up on the boulevard,
• 8:54
Speaker 7: goes down Capitol Street, takes a left on Courier to
• 8:59
Speaker 7: Courts Okay, goes down Court to the boulevard and ends
• 9:02
Speaker 7: at Hadat at Riverfront Park, Okay. And so that's where
• 9:05
Speaker 7: the ceremony will right.
• 9:06
Speaker 4: Yeah. Can people still get in the parade.
• 9:08
Speaker 7: Or yes, you're supposed to sign up, that's through Tommy Wingo,
• 9:12
Speaker 7: the head of the Post twenty. But if you just
• 9:16
Speaker 7: want to show up in the morning walk, that's completely fine.
• 9:19
Speaker 4: Yeah. And it's and I love, as you said, Mara,
• 9:21
Speaker 4: that the fact that we're bringing in the younger generation
• 9:24
Speaker 4: with the r otcs and things of that nature, because
• 9:26
Speaker 4: you know, I think sometimes and this is and I
• 9:29
Speaker 4: used to be young, and I know sometimes you just
• 9:32
Speaker 4: you know, you see these people in the veterans and
• 9:34
Speaker 4: you just you know, you don't think that much about it,
• 9:37
Speaker 4: but somebody needs to edge of macatum a little bit
• 9:40
Speaker 4: on and I'm sure the folks of the RTC programs do.
• 9:43
Speaker 4: About why we are able to do what we do
• 9:46
Speaker 4: in this country, it's because of veterans.
• 9:48
Speaker 7: In Kanawha County. I'll tell you our junior RTC programs
• 9:51
Speaker 7: are just phenomenal. From Riverside to Capitol to g W
• 9:54
Speaker 7: to Nitro. Those when you see those kids in uniform,
• 9:58
Speaker 7: at least as a as a who served and whose
• 10:02
Speaker 7: family was all served, it's special to see that that
• 10:06
Speaker 7: they want to step forward in military service, that they're
• 10:09
Speaker 7: willing to do that, and it motivates me personally.
• 10:12
Speaker 4: Talk about your service a little bit. I mean, you know,
• 10:15
Speaker 4: as best you feel comfortable with talk about your service.
• 10:17
Speaker 7: I had an amazing experience. I went to I enlisted
• 10:22
Speaker 7: when I was in WVU, I was in the reserves,
• 10:24
Speaker 7: and then when I graduated WVU, I became an active
• 10:28
Speaker 7: duty Army officer. I was an engineer officer, and I
• 10:31
Speaker 7: don't know how this happened, but I was always in
• 10:34
Speaker 7: combat units. I was in combat units before women, before
• 10:38
Speaker 7: it was really opened up. At first Cavalry Division and
• 10:41
Speaker 7: then eighty second Airborne Division. I was a jump master.
• 10:45
Speaker 7: I commanded a company called the six eighteenth Engineers. We
• 10:48
Speaker 7: were in the eighty second and I was the first
• 10:50
Speaker 7: woman commander, so fortunate to have that experience. And we
• 10:54
Speaker 7: deployed to Iraq. We got the fifteen month deployment. We
• 10:57
Speaker 7: were there during what's known as the Search two thousand
• 11:00
Speaker 7: and six, two thousand and seven, and we did roadside bombs.
• 11:08
Speaker 7: We uh, just were out all the time in Iraq.
• 11:14
Speaker 7: And so got back from that deployment, went to DC
• 11:17
Speaker 7: as a congressional fellow, where I met Senator Mansion. And
• 11:21
Speaker 7: after I got out of the military, we had two
• 11:23
Speaker 7: young children. I didn't want to deploy for a sixth time.
• 11:26
Speaker 7: I couldn't leave them. I worked for him after that.
• 11:29
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, And that's where a lot of people, you know,
• 11:32
Speaker 4: it's where I got to know you is when you
• 11:33
Speaker 4: work with Senator Mansion. Now you're doing great things with
• 11:35
Speaker 4: the Charleston Airy Alliance as well. So give us the
• 11:38
Speaker 4: details again, the time and so on and so forth.
• 11:40
Speaker 4: Hit it again about the parade in Charleston ware And
• 11:42
Speaker 4: please note that for a little bit of time. If
• 11:43
Speaker 4: you come to the city tomorrow, maybe little traffic delays
• 11:46
Speaker 4: here and there, some streets closed and so on and
• 11:48
Speaker 4: so forth. But if there's anything in the world that
• 11:50
Speaker 4: is worth it, it's honoring our veteran. So talk about
• 11:54
  Speaker 4: the timing again.
• 11:54
  Speaker 8: Sure.
• 11:55
Speaker 7: Tuesday, November eleventh, at eleven am. The parade kicks off
• 11:59
Speaker 7: on the Boulevard on Capitol Street, left on Courrier to Court,
• 12:03
Speaker 7: ends up back on the boulevard at Head at Riverfront Park,
• 12:06
Speaker 7: followed by a commemoration around noon, a Veterans Day service.
• 12:12
Speaker 4: All right, Maria Boggs, representing the American Legion Post twenty,
• 12:15
Speaker 4: I appreciate you being here and thank you so much
• 12:17
Speaker 4: for your service. And you talked about your family and
• 12:20
Speaker 4: the people that had served in your family. Thank them

Speaker 4: Meteorologs is Brian Hughes. Storm Track of thirteen is here. Brian,
• 15:47
Speaker 4: good morning and welcome to the show.
• 15:50
Speaker 3: Well, it's good to be here on a on a
• 15:52
  Speaker 3: cold Monday morning.
• 15:54
Speaker 4: So what the heck? Man, what the heck?
• 15:57
Speaker 6: I mean, money is?
• 16:00
Speaker 3: We just had it out for us. You know, we've
• 16:01
Speaker 3: survived pretty good. It's fall, so she said, it's time.
• 16:05
Speaker 4: Well you know, and I mean, this really isn't uncommon
• 16:08
  Speaker 4: for November.
• 16:09
Speaker 6: Right, yes it is.
• 16:15
Speaker 4: I love it. I love it when you prove me wrong.
• 16:18
Speaker 10: I know I'm always good at it. Listen, what in November?
• 16:24
Speaker 10: Generally we get big shots. Typically they're not as stout
• 16:28
Speaker 10: as this one. When I say big shot, big shots
• 16:30
Speaker 10: of cold ear. But it's it's.
• 16:32
Speaker 3: Quick, It's like in one day and out. This one
• 16:34
Speaker 3: is a little more prolonged. I mean it's on an
• 16:36
Speaker 3: order of about three days in total when you count
• 16:39
Speaker 3: Sunday Holiday, Monday Tomorrow morning. And but the moisture typically
• 16:44
Speaker 3: that we would get comes up out of the south.
• 16:47
Speaker 3: Now this this is a direct connection with Lake Michigan,
• 16:51
Speaker 3: and boy, I mean they got a foot of snow
• 16:53
Speaker 3: there in the Chicago metro area, and that moisture still
• 16:55
Speaker 3: has to wrap around in our neighborhoods and that could
• 16:58
Speaker 3: be what kind of sends us so the over the top,
• 17:02
Speaker 3: you know, as we go into our forecast for this afternoon,
• 17:05
Speaker 3: because we get listen, I think we're geting about an
• 17:07
Speaker 3: inch that would be at best, probably even when snow
• 17:12
Speaker 3: squalls come by. But you know, it's it's still something
• 17:15
Speaker 3: we have we get to get through as we go
• 17:17
Speaker 3: to this afternoon, but we still have more snow in
• 17:19
Speaker 3: the way, but a lot of this has an opportunity
• 17:22
Speaker 3: to sort of melt a little bit because the ground
• 17:23
Speaker 3: technically still is warm down there, so it is still
• 17:26
  Speaker 3: radiating heat.
• 17:27
Speaker 4: And again we're talking with Brian Hughes from storm Track
• 17:30
Speaker 4: at thirteen and I'll tell you when I drove in,
• 17:31
Speaker 4: which is about seven thirty ish, I hit town this twenty.
• 17:34
Speaker 4: Roads were fine, but there could be some slick spots
• 17:37
Speaker 4: here and there, especially on those bridges and overpasses well.
• 17:41
Speaker 3: And that's our biggest concern for this afternoon and into
• 17:45
Speaker 3: late this aftern end of the evening is that we're
• 17:47
Speaker 3: gonna have we could have a pretty big band of
• 17:49
Speaker 3: snow passed by and then that's going to quickly change things.
• 17:54
Speaker 3: And that happens to be right at the right at
• 17:56
Speaker 3: the midst or end of our drive time home, which
• 18:00
Speaker 3: is the biggest concern. And then you know, once you
• 18:03
Speaker 3: have one, it is just a you know, it's a
• 18:06
Speaker 3: cascade of events. You get one wreck on a bridge
• 18:08
Speaker 3: and then it's all shut down for a while. So
• 18:11
Speaker 3: this is something everybody's needs, faiths intest. If you can
• 18:13
Speaker 3: get our work early go, you can stick around a
• 18:16
Speaker 3: little while longer, just anything to avoid the evening commute,
• 18:19
Speaker 3: because then after that then we go to the really
• 18:22
Speaker 3: cold tents with temperatures down in the teams of the
• 18:24
Speaker 3: mountains and the low twenties here, and anything that is,
• 18:29
Speaker 3: you know, in liquid form will be freezing, especially on
• 18:31
Speaker 3: those elevated surfaces, which, by the way, we talk about
• 18:34
Speaker 3: bridges and overpasses all the time, but the number one
• 18:36
Speaker 3: place that people get injured is that their back doorsteps,
• 18:39
Speaker 3: stepping out on their patio.
• 18:40
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, you're actually you're that is very true.
• 18:43
  Speaker 4: And I'll tell you a quick story. There's a buddy
• 18:45
Speaker 4: of mine in radio in southern West Virginia that stepped
• 18:50
Speaker 4: out onto his back deck and slipped and just wasn't
• 18:53
Speaker 4: thinking about it. I think it was dark and he
• 18:55
Speaker 4: slipped and fell and he he survived, but he had
• 18:58
Speaker 4: a I mean he was in a coma for a while.
• 19:00
Speaker 4: So this is this is nothing to nothing.
• 19:02
Speaker 6: Laugh at No, it's not.
• 19:05
Speaker 3: And listen, I've talked to a number of you are
• 19:06
Speaker 3: ere doctors, the number of move friends of mine, and
• 19:09
Speaker 3: they said, no, listen, when when stone and ice happens,
• 19:12
Speaker 3: we don't worry about the recks because we'll get a
• 19:14
Speaker 3: couple of those. It's the back porch incidents that happened
• 19:17
Speaker 3: because people just aren't thinking and typically they're not wearing
• 19:20
Speaker 3: shoes or they're not prepped for anything.
• 19:23
Speaker 10: Uh you know that at that point.
• 19:25
Speaker 4: So we're under a winter weather advisory here in the valley,
• 19:28
Speaker 4: but other areas of the state are getting hit pretty hard.
• 19:30
Speaker 4: I mean like like real snowfall, right.
• 19:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, we're talking about up around the higher elevations listen
• 19:36
Speaker 3: in summer. So it is gonna end up with two
• 19:37
Speaker 3: to four inches worth of snow and maybe on the
• 19:39
Speaker 3: upper end of it, and then back up the snow
• 19:41
Speaker 3: she areas that could be four to six easily, and
• 19:44
Speaker 3: you know they're not going to stop snowing there until
• 19:46
Speaker 3: Tuesday morning, so this is really an elevation based snow,
• 19:50
Speaker 3: and it also be in the first snow of the season,
• 19:52
Speaker 3: the ground has a cool enough, so that's why most
• 19:55
Speaker 3: of the somer that we're going to see down low.
• 19:56
Speaker 3: While it would add up to an inch or two inches,
• 19:59
Speaker 3: you're just not probably we're going to see that with
• 20:01
Speaker 3: your ruler. But in total, we would have had probably.
• 20:04
Speaker 4: That and then tomorrow it's all gone, right, I mean,
• 20:06
Speaker 4: we're still gonna have the cold temperatures. We were just
• 20:07
Speaker 4: talking about the Veterans Day activities tomorrow in Charleston. It's
• 20:11
Speaker 4: all going to be gone. But people want to bundle
• 20:13
Speaker 4: up if they're coming out for that tomorrow.
• 20:14
Speaker 3: Oh man, it's gonna be It's gonna be a little
• 20:16
Speaker 3: rough in the morning, not a little, a lot rough
• 20:19
Speaker 3: because we are going to have, you know, the temperature
• 20:21
Speaker 3: teams of twenties and that's nothing to joke about. You've
• 20:24
Speaker 3: got to have all the big coats out for the
• 20:26
Speaker 3: kids in the morning. So yes, be prepared for tomorrow
• 20:30
Speaker 3: morning with a cold. But by the afternoon we're in
• 20:31
Speaker 3: the mid forties and by the weekend we're in the
• 20:33
  Speaker 3: mid sixties.
• 20:34
Speaker 4: All right, sounds good, Hey, Brian, always a pleasure give
• 20:37
Speaker 4: us a I know that I know how most you
• 20:40
Speaker 4: know meteorologists feel about long term forecast, but just give
• 20:44
Speaker 4: us a little tease here. What do you what do you?
• 20:46
Speaker 4: And Spencer and the folks scene in the future for
• 20:49
Speaker 4: winter twenty twenty five slash twenty twenty six.
• 20:53
Speaker 3: On the twenty twenty five side of things, we don't
• 20:55
Speaker 3: see anything too exciting just yet. But as far as January,
• 20:58
Speaker 3: February and the March, we see those locked and loaded.
• 21:02
Speaker 3: It's probably gonna be very similar to last year's winter,
• 21:05
Speaker 3: which was not much of anything leading.
• 21:06
Speaker 10: Up to it, just a couple of little cold shots.
• 21:08
Speaker 3: But then right for that, right after Christmas around it John,
• 21:10
Speaker 3: Right for Christmas, that's when we started seeing things ramp up,
• 21:13
Speaker 3: and boy it got going in in January.
• 21:15
Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, Brian, I appreciate it, man, and we'll
• 21:18
Speaker 4: talk again soon. Hopefully not too many times this winter though.

  Speaker 4: maryor Danny Jones.
• 22:50
Speaker 6: How you doing, man, I'm doing all right.
• 22:53
Speaker 4: So tomorrow's Veterans Day and I talked tomorrow Boggs from
• 22:56
Speaker 4: the American Legion about the activities that they've got going on.
• 22:59
Speaker 4: Charles in tomorrow course eleven am as they always do
• 23:01
Speaker 4: eighty fourth year. Uh that that that they've been doing
• 23:06
Speaker 4: that ceremony. I'll ask you about about your about your service,
• 23:12
Speaker 4: uh as much as you want to talk about it,
• 23:17
Speaker 4: what's looking back on it? I know that every military person,
• 23:22
Speaker 4: whether they serve in war or piece time, they have
• 23:24
Speaker 4: good memories, they have bad memories. What your what's your
• 23:26
Speaker 4: overall memories of your service time?
• 23:30
Speaker 6: Piece of cake? Really well, it was uh parafylin and
• 23:40
Speaker 6: emftry training was living hell, and imftry training was worse
• 23:47
Speaker 6: than parasylin. And then I went to truck driving school
• 23:52
Speaker 6: and that's when the weather got better, and that was okay.
• 23:56
Speaker 6: Now I started going home on the weekend and that
• 23:59
Speaker 6: came back. And I was stationed at an area called
• 24:03
Speaker 6: Camp Geiger, which I've been before because that's where we trained.
• 24:08
Speaker 6: It's part of Campbella June. And I was sitting in
• 24:12
Speaker 6: my truck one day and a guy comes up, some
• 24:14
Speaker 6: corporal said, Private Jones got some orders for you. It
• 24:20
Speaker 6: was called Western Pacific westpac. That meant you're going overseas.
• 24:32
Speaker 6: In the Marine Corps, they didn't tell you if you
• 24:34
Speaker 6: were one to Vietnam, you went to Vietnam. Everybody went
• 24:39
Speaker 6: to Okinawa to begin with, and then we went to Vietnam.
• 24:45
Speaker 6: And Vietnam was good except for the bad parts. But
• 24:52
Speaker 6: that wasn't a majority of the time. Really, the majority
• 24:55
Speaker 6: of the time it was work. It was just work.
• 25:00
Speaker 6: It just worked all the time. And but there were
• 25:06
Speaker 6: some weird times over there. But and then when I
• 25:12
Speaker 6: got back from Vietnam, I was stationed on at El Toro,
• 25:16
Speaker 6: which is now closed Eltra Marine Corps air Station, and
• 25:24
Speaker 6: that was a piece of cake. And I drove a
• 25:27
Speaker 6: school bus. I mean, come on, you drove.
• 25:29
Speaker 4: A school bus in the military.
• 25:31
Speaker 6: I drew, well, it was they called it a school bus.
• 25:34
Speaker 6: It was gray. I drove troops around and a bus.
• 25:38
  Speaker 6: And when you're when you're a driver, it's like being
• 25:41
Speaker 6: in a union. You don't have to do anything else
• 25:44
Speaker 6: other than other than drive. And I remember taking a
• 25:48
Speaker 6: bunch of people, a bunch of troops out to a
• 25:51
Speaker 6: one of the beach towns because they were in a
• 25:54
Speaker 6: parade and Governor Regan was there, Senator Murphy, Mayor Yordy,
• 26:06
Speaker 6: and I just walked. I just looked at looked at
• 26:11
Speaker 6: the girls on the floats, and I knew that I
• 26:16
Speaker 6: was gonna. I was getting close. I was getting close
• 26:20
Speaker 6: to getting out of the service.
• 26:21
Speaker 4: Did you ever consider making a career of it or
• 26:24
Speaker 4: staying in longer than you did.
• 26:26
  Speaker 8: Well.
• 26:29
Speaker 6: I looked back on it. I thought about that, but
• 26:35
Speaker 6: I wouldn't have stated in motor transport. I would have
• 26:39
Speaker 6: gone into food service. I would have I worked at
• 26:42
Speaker 6: a mess hall on Okinawa, and my last month in
• 26:46
Speaker 6: Vietnam I spent and I'm working in the mess hall
• 26:50
Speaker 6: because sergeant didn't like me at the motor at the
• 26:54
Speaker 6: motor pool and he thought I was a smart alec,
• 26:58
Speaker 6: which I probably was. Said that what do you mean
• 27:01
Speaker 6: was he said, Jones, you you better watch the way
• 27:06
Speaker 6: you talk. I'll put you thirty days of mess duty.
• 27:10
Speaker 6: I said, you want to put me on mess diddy,
• 27:13
Speaker 6: go for it, and he did. And I mean, put
• 27:17
Speaker 6: me on mess didy. That's like send me home.
• 27:20
Speaker 4: What how many things did you learn, Danny, when you
• 27:22
Speaker 4: were on mess duty that you would transfer later when
• 27:26
Speaker 4: you had these restaurants? Nothing? Nothing? Okay? Good?
• 27:28
Speaker 6: I worked in the I worked in a scullery, okay,
• 27:31
Speaker 6: and that is that is where you washed dishes, okay.
• 27:35
Speaker 6: And the only thing we went to work at four
• 27:40
Speaker 6: and we got off at two in the afternoon, went
• 27:43
Speaker 6: back at four and got off at seven. And there
• 27:50
Speaker 6: was a gunnery sergeant there and he was talking real
• 27:55
Speaker 6: nasty to some troops. I mean, these are these are
• 28:00
Speaker 6: not boots, these are marines, and they wanted to kill him.
• 28:05
Speaker 6: Really yeah, I mean there were people had guns over there.
• 28:10
Speaker 6: And you know, you hear about instance of fragging. You
• 28:15
Speaker 6: ever hear that tragging? Fragging? That's when you take a
• 28:19
Speaker 6: grenade and throw it, throw it in a tent of
• 28:22
Speaker 6: somebody don't like, and it kills them. Call that fragging.
• 28:26
Speaker 6: They wanted to kill this guy. And I talked to
• 28:28
Speaker 6: everybody out of it. I'm telling you the truth, though.
• 28:31
Speaker 6: I mean, because he.
• 28:31
Speaker 4: Was common, is that the military, or at least now where.
• 28:34
Speaker 6: It wasn't common where I was maybe out in the
• 28:37
Speaker 6: bush it is, but I wasn't out in the bush.
• 28:41
Speaker 6: And I volunteered to go to Vietnam. I was on
• 28:46
Speaker 6: Okinawa for five months and all I did was drive
• 28:50
Speaker 6: and play baseball. Played baseball seven nights a week, and
• 28:54
Speaker 6: I drove for the messhole. So I worked, and that
• 28:58
Speaker 6: it was boring. So I just into work in the
• 29:00
Speaker 6: missile and I drove and we played baseball every night.
• 29:08
Speaker 6: And so I put in it what's called an administrative
• 29:10
Speaker 6: action for him to go to Vietnam.
• 29:16
Speaker 4: And why would you want to go to Vietnam because
• 29:20
Speaker 4: most people try to avoid Vietnam.
• 29:21
Speaker 6: I thought it might get me out early. It worked
• 29:24
Speaker 6: just the opposite. Okay, it kept me in longer, right
• 29:28
Speaker 6: because we came back too early. But I had they
• 29:33
Speaker 6: sent me, which shocked me. When I put it in,
• 29:36
Speaker 6: I was half serious. I didn't think they did, but
• 29:39
Speaker 6: they did. They sent me to the first Marine Air
• 29:41
Speaker 6: wing in the name.
• 29:44
Speaker 4: What was the sense? And I've told the story before
• 29:47
Speaker 4: you to My father's a Vietnam veteran, and he passed
• 29:50
Speaker 4: in twenty fourteen of complications from agent orange? What was
• 29:53
Speaker 4: the sense of the of the folks that were serving
• 29:57
Speaker 4: in Vietnam about Because my dad told me, and he
• 30:00
Speaker 4: was there, I made a mistake what time, saying well,
• 30:02
Speaker 4: you were there before it got bad? He said, it's
• 30:04
Speaker 4: a war. It was always bad. But he was out
• 30:07
Speaker 4: of there by sixty I want to say by sixty
• 30:10
Speaker 4: seven or sixty eight. He was out of it. It
• 30:12
Speaker 4: was bad, okay? And uh, but he said, because I asked.
• 30:16
Speaker 4: I was fascinated with it when I was a kid,
• 30:18
Speaker 4: and he there's certain things he didn't like to talk about.
• 30:20
Speaker 4: And I can want to think to ask a question, right, right?
• 30:24
Speaker 4: And but I would I knew what I could ask
• 30:27
Speaker 4: one I could, but I asked him, I said, what
• 30:28
Speaker 4: about getting inform? Did you guys ever feel like that
• 30:32
Speaker 4: you were sent to fail? And he told me point blank.
• 30:37
Speaker 4: My dad may have had his faults, but one thing
• 30:39
Speaker 4: is he was a very religious man, and he was honest.
• 30:42
Speaker 4: He said, we knew by that point that the object
• 30:45
Speaker 4: wasn't to win, and he never really expounded upon that
• 30:49
Speaker 4: because he said there were so many times that he
• 30:52
Speaker 4: and he did other things in the military, like my
• 30:55
Speaker 4: dad was an office clerk. Okay, that's what he worked
• 30:57
Speaker 4: in an office. He was what you call him one right, uh,
• 31:01
Speaker 4: And but he said there were so many times that
• 31:04
Speaker 4: we could have ended this thing or at least made
• 31:07
Speaker 4: great gains, and we were told not to.
• 31:09
Speaker 6: Well, I don't know about that.
• 31:11
Speaker 4: Yeah, that was his take.
• 31:13
Speaker 6: But Richard Nixon, the night before I was drafted, on
• 31:18
Speaker 6: November third of sixty nine, he made his Vietnamization speech
• 31:24
Speaker 6: about gradually withdrawing troops and replacing them with the Vietnamese.
• 31:32
Speaker 6: He did that the night before I left, so we
• 31:35
Speaker 6: knew there was no there was no reason to win.
• 31:39
Speaker 6: I mean, there was there was not going to be
• 31:41
Speaker 6: a winner to this war. But when you were over there,
• 31:48
Speaker 6: it was very laid back.
• 31:51
  Speaker 4: You just worked.
• 31:53
Speaker 6: I mean, you just worked. I mean it was it
• 31:55
Speaker 6: was almost I mean it was so casual. It's like
• 32:00
Speaker 6: almost like a beatnik experience. You know. It was like
• 32:05
Speaker 6: we had sayings like when you wanted to don't get
• 32:09
Speaker 6: me fired now, no no, no, when you you know
• 32:13
Speaker 6: how the mafia where they say forget about it. Yeah,
• 32:16
Speaker 6: we said, there it is, well, she's good looking. There
• 32:20
Speaker 6: it is, I'm short, I'm getting out in eleven days.
• 32:25
  Speaker 6: There it is.
• 32:26
Speaker 4: That was your affirmation.
• 32:27
Speaker 6: Everybody said that to each other.
• 32:29
Speaker 4: There it is, well, thank Danny, thank you for your service.
• 32:32
  Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, Well.
• 32:34
Speaker 4: How do you feel when people come up and say that?
• 32:36
Speaker 4: Because I had a veteran one time that explained to me,
• 32:39
Speaker 4: and you know, it all comes from a good place.
• 32:41
Speaker 4: But he had somebody. He would frequently wear an army
• 32:45
Speaker 4: veteran hat, and I mean, when you wear a hat,
• 32:47
Speaker 4: somebody's going to say something. Okay. He wasn't big on
• 32:51
Speaker 4: being thanked for his experience, he said, because he said,
• 32:53
Speaker 4: I did what I was told to do, and he
• 32:56
Speaker 4: was drafted. He was older, he was drafted. He said,
• 32:58
  Speaker 4: I mean, there's no reason to thank me. I didn't
• 32:59
Speaker 4: have choice. I mean that was one guy's take.
• 33:03
Speaker 6: I mean, I'm glad that people are doing it, because
• 33:06
Speaker 6: I can assure you they didn't do it back then.
• 33:08
Speaker 4: That's what my dad said.
• 33:09
Speaker 6: Yeah, they it was. I remember I got back and
• 33:15
Speaker 6: went to Marshall, and people just didn't want to talk
• 33:19
Speaker 6: about it, not in school. I thought it might help
• 33:22
Speaker 6: me get a girl and a job. It didn't help
• 33:24
Speaker 6: me do either. People didn't want to talk about it.
• 33:28
Speaker 6: I went to work at Wiggins as a dishwasher, right
• 33:32
Speaker 6: across from Old Main. There were two Wiggins. There was
• 33:35
Speaker 6: one on Third Avenue. There was one right across the
• 33:38
Speaker 6: street from Old Maine, and I went. The Freeman family
• 33:43
Speaker 6: owned it, and I knew one of the boys. And
• 33:47
Speaker 6: I got a job there and they liked me, and
• 33:50
Speaker 6: they said, if you want to come over here and
• 33:52
Speaker 6: eat breakfast, you need all you want for a dollar.
• 33:55
Speaker 6: So I went over there every morning and eat breakfast,
• 33:58
Speaker 6: and then I in the afternoon, I'd get there early
• 34:01
Speaker 6: and eat eat my dinner.
• 34:03
Speaker 4: Talking with Danny Jones, we need to take a break.
• 34:05
Speaker 4: I do want and again thank you for your service,

• 36:58
Speaker 4: more than likely Danny some he's trying to stay warm,
• 37:01
Speaker 4: saw that building used to be Fad Furniture, and somebody
• 37:04
Speaker 4: commented on that, I don't, I mean, you know Charleston
• 37:07
Speaker 4: better than I do in that in that location. I
• 37:09
Speaker 4: just remembered I hadn't heard the name Fad Furniture in
• 37:11
  Speaker 4: a long time.
• 37:12
Speaker 6: Give me the address.
• 37:13
Speaker 4: I don't have the address in front of me right now.
• 37:15
  Speaker 6: That's seven.
• 37:17
Speaker 4: Yeah, it was at the corner Virginian seventh Avenue. Somebody
• 37:19
Speaker 4: had just commented that it was a former fat Well,
• 37:22
Speaker 4: we'll get it for you. We had a caller and
• 37:25
Speaker 4: they just had a question about the book. So, okay,
• 37:27
Speaker 4: when's the book coming out?
• 37:29
Speaker 6: The book should be in next Monday.
• 37:32
  Speaker 10: Okay.
• 37:33
Speaker 6: I'll get two hundred books, okay, and I'm gonna take
• 37:39
Speaker 6: ten of them down to Taylor Books. He said, he
• 37:43
Speaker 6: put him out see if he anybelly wants one, and then.
• 37:47
Speaker 4: Got to get you out of that attitude, Danny, that
• 37:49
Speaker 4: nobody's gonna want people want this one.
• 37:51
Speaker 6: This is what he wants to do because a week
• 37:53
Speaker 6: a week from Saturday, on the twenty second, I'll be
• 37:58
Speaker 6: I'll be there at a table signing books if people
• 38:02
Speaker 6: want to come in and buy one and have me
• 38:03
Speaker 6: sign it. But the books will be in a week
• 38:09
Speaker 6: from today. They should. I should have a few Taylor
• 38:11
Speaker 6: books and if they move, I'll put ten more there.
• 38:15
Speaker 4: You know, I'm not going to feel with everything you
• 38:17
Speaker 4: put into that project to be able to physically hold
• 38:19
Speaker 4: the finished product in your hand, because it's one thing
• 38:22
Speaker 4: to see it on paper, but to be able to
• 38:25
  Speaker 4: physically hold.
• 38:27
Speaker 6: Yeah, it's when I tell people about it, don't know
• 38:33
Speaker 6: about it. I mean, people say, well, why would then
• 38:36
Speaker 6: they write a book about you? Well, it wasn't my choice.
• 38:40
Speaker 6: It was Charlie called me, Charlie Ryan. Yeah, and so
• 38:46
Speaker 6: we did it together, and we did it pretty quickly.
• 38:49
Speaker 6: It was it was hard, it was a lot of work.
• 38:53
Speaker 6: And it's not as blue as it could be.
• 39:00
Speaker 4: And I'm gonna have to explain to some people what
• 39:02
Speaker 4: blue means, you know, off color, off color adult contents. Yeah,
• 39:07
Speaker 4: adult as they used to say in the movies. I
• 39:09
Speaker 4: don't know whether they're still doing adult language and situations.
• 39:12
Speaker 4: It's not it's not gonna not quite as bad as
• 39:14
  Speaker 4: it could be.
• 39:17
Speaker 6: Have I talked about Rita, Yes, okay, yeah, you've talked
• 39:21
Speaker 6: about Red Rita. Rita came down. She is my my
• 39:27
Speaker 6: My room was changed again and she came down and
• 39:30
Speaker 6: all those Shriners were there, and she she had nothing
• 39:33
Speaker 6: on her raincoat. Nice, and she took off the raincoat
• 39:39
Speaker 6: and walked around in high heel and went back up
• 39:42
Speaker 6: to my room. And if you want to find out
• 39:45
Speaker 6: the rest of us, we're going to You're gonna have
• 39:48
Speaker 6: to read the book because there's a lot more of
• 39:49
  Speaker 6: that story.
• 39:50
Speaker 4: All right, all right, we'll well we'll leave that.
• 39:53
Speaker 6: But I'll tell you something. Let me just I think
• 39:55
Speaker 6: about readA every day.
• 39:57
Speaker 4: Well, I can imagine.
• 39:58
Speaker 6: Now we've got to be friends. And I think it's sad.
• 40:03
Speaker 6: I think it's sad about reading.
• 40:05
Speaker 4: We had a text and set. Is there any pictures
• 40:07
  Speaker 4: in it?
• 40:07
Speaker 6: There's a lot of pictures in it, a lot of color,
• 40:11
Speaker 6: and we I spent extra money. That's why it's twenty
• 40:14
Speaker 6: nine ninety five because all the pictures that could have
• 40:17
Speaker 6: been in color are in color. And and it's it's
• 40:24
Speaker 6: it's a hardback with a flat you know what do
• 40:27
  Speaker 6: you call that a jacket? And it's a it's I
• 40:31
Speaker 6: think it's going to be a book people like if
• 40:34
Speaker 6: they'll take the time to read it. I'm an offspring
• 40:39
Speaker 6: of eight people that were on the Mayflower. And when
• 40:46
Speaker 6: you read to that, it might be a little dry.
• 40:49
Speaker 6: So chapter three is when things kick in.
• 40:53
Speaker 4: Make a note, Chapter three when things really kick in.
• 40:56
Speaker 4: I'm looking forward to it. You're gonna bring me a
• 40:58
Speaker 4: copy next week because I'm gonna buy.
• 40:59
Speaker 6: It I'm going to bring you a copy. Okay, you'll
• 41:02
Speaker 6: have a copy, all right. Now, I got to get
• 41:05
Speaker 6: this in. People have blamed Mayor Goodwin because there's no
• 41:15
  Speaker 6: car show.
• 41:17
Speaker 4: Uh, the rod running do what? Yeah?
• 41:21
Speaker 6: And it's not accurate.
• 41:25
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 41:26
Speaker 6: What happened was the city had put up thirty thousand dollars.
• 41:32
Speaker 6: These guys waited till the very last minute to cancel it.
• 41:38
Speaker 6: And I'll tell you why, because I don't think they
• 41:45
Speaker 6: want anybody looking at the books, and so Mayor Goodwin
• 41:51
Speaker 6: didn't have time to call me or do anything else. Hey,
• 41:57
Speaker 6: you want to put a car show together? But it
• 41:59
Speaker 6: was there was no time. I mean they did it
• 42:03
Speaker 6: like month or two months before it happened. And I
• 42:10
Speaker 6: know that they took weekends and took the staff up
• 42:14
Speaker 6: to Stunwall Jackson to the to have a gathering. They
• 42:19
Speaker 6: took money from the car show.
• 42:21
Speaker 4: Okay, it's a pretty serious accusation.
• 42:22
Speaker 6: It's a pretty true accusation. Okay, all right, and I'll
• 42:25
Speaker 6: stand by it, okay, all right.
• 42:27
Speaker 4: Well, and the reason that just to give the listeners
• 42:30
Speaker 4: like a little inside baseball here it's been and I've
• 42:33
Speaker 4: been doing this show for five years and when the
• 42:34
Speaker 4: rod Run and dew Wop went away. You're right, people
• 42:37
  Speaker 4: blamed the mayor.
• 42:39
  Speaker 6: It's not a fair it's not a fair accusation.
• 42:41
Speaker 4: And uh uh and and so for one reason or
• 42:44
Speaker 4: another it went away. But you were saying, as she
• 42:47
Speaker 4: has said all along, that this was not her decision.
• 42:50
Speaker 6: It wasn't and she would have she would have kept it.
• 42:55
Speaker 6: Now it's gone on too long.
• 42:58
  Speaker 3: Uh.
• 42:58
Speaker 6: I talked to Frank last week and at South Charleston.
• 43:04
Speaker 6: He wants me to bring you know, my cars down.
• 43:07
Speaker 4: There, Mollins. We're talking about Yeah.
• 43:08
Speaker 6: Yeah, boy, they're kicking down there, aren't they.
• 43:11
Speaker 4: Yeah, South Charleston doing pretty well. But you just wanted
• 43:14
Speaker 4: to get that out there because there was a lot.
• 43:16
Speaker 4: There was a little off the air conversation last week
• 43:19
Speaker 4: and the crossover between you and the mayor.
• 43:21
Speaker 6: Yeah, but they I believe they took they took weekends
• 43:25
Speaker 6: and took trips. I don't know if they did it
• 43:28
Speaker 6: once or more than once. But that's not what the money.
• 43:31
  Speaker 4: Was there for.
• 43:33
Speaker 6: But where are the books? And so maybe maybe this
• 43:39
Speaker 6: will scare up the books.

Speaker 6: I think it took an extraordinary amount of courage for

• 47:56
Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a sixty to forty vote to take

• 48:13
Speaker 6: You know, why not put a gang together, you know,
• 48:16
Speaker 6: and like you could put Chimkine on it. You could
• 48:19
Speaker 6: put some of the people who voted to shut to
• 48:23
Speaker 6: open the government. You could put Susan Collins on it
• 48:26
Speaker 6: and try to come up with something on this healthcare
• 48:30
Speaker 6: that maybe maybe people would agree to, or maybe they

Speaker 6: Thirty nine perion in debt. Yeah, we're kicking the can
• 48:48
Speaker 6: down the road. All right. Let me tell you something
• 48:50
Speaker 6: I heard this morning. Okay, I watched on Facebook video
• 48:55
Speaker 6: and on YouTube video there are reels and they had
• 49:03
Speaker 6: this rabbi on there and he said that he and
• 49:08
Speaker 6: a group of rabbis met. They were from New York.
• 49:12
Speaker 6: They met with the new mayor. What's Zora and Donnie
• 49:15
Speaker 6: or what? Yeah? Mondmi And he said it got very
• 49:20
Speaker 6: dark very quickly. He said he didn't take back a thing.
• 49:24
Speaker 6: Israel shouldn't exist, Zionism shouldn't be allowed from the river
• 49:31
Speaker 6: to the sea. Uh it was, he said, it got
• 49:35
Speaker 6: real dark. It said, they were real surprised.
• 49:38
Speaker 4: You're the first person that I heard ever talk about him,
• 49:41
Speaker 4: And that was several months ago. And I remember you
• 49:43
Speaker 4: came and I wasn't paying attention to the mayor election
• 49:45
Speaker 4: New York like most people born. And then you came in,
• 49:47
Speaker 4: you said, I remember very well. You looked at me
• 49:50
Speaker 4: and you said we got to watch this. We had
• 49:52
Speaker 4: to watch this because this is good. And what it
• 49:54
Speaker 4: all boils down to to me, Danny, it's it's it's
• 49:56
Speaker 4: affordability and that. And that's what a lot of people,
• 49:59
Speaker 4: oh not all that supported him.
• 50:01
  Speaker 6: He's not affected.
• 50:02
Speaker 4: For No, he's not going to be able to do
• 50:04
  Speaker 4: I mean, he's not a king. I mean to use
• 50:06
Speaker 4: a term. You know, he's not gonna be able to
• 50:08
Speaker 4: do this these things. The couple talked about.
• 50:11
Speaker 6: One other things, Big Calumn in the New York Times
• 50:13
Speaker 6: is today, and he said, the future of the Democrat
• 50:17
Speaker 6: Party is not with Mundami, it's with guess who, the
• 50:24
Speaker 6: governor of Pennsylvania, your boy. Yeah, And and did a
• 50:28
Speaker 6: huge article about him, and they had one hundred and
• 50:31
Speaker 6: seventy comments, and this guy was answering all the comments. Right,
• 50:35
Speaker 6: it's author. So it was really good. So it was
• 50:38
Speaker 6: about Josh Shapiro, and I think he would represent the
• 50:41
Speaker 6: heck of a future for this country is.
• 50:44
Speaker 4: Do you think the Democratic Party will go that way? Though? No, No,
• 50:47
  Speaker 4: I don't think so either.
• 50:48
Speaker 6: No. First thing, he's Jewish. That hurts him with them.
• 50:52
Speaker 6: It wouldn't hurt him with the Republicans unless you saw
• 50:55
Speaker 6: Tucker Carlson and what's her name in there?
• 51:02
  Speaker 18: What?
• 51:02
  Speaker 10: Well?
• 51:02
Speaker 6: I can't think of her name.
• 51:03
  Speaker 4: I don't know who you're talking about.
• 51:05
Speaker 6: Oh, black chick. Did I say something wrong?
• 51:10
Speaker 4: No, it's fine, it's what's can can Ryan.
• 51:16
  Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
• 51:16
Speaker 4: It's all gets all good, it's all good.
• 51:18
Speaker 6: But but I view them as being anti Israel and
• 51:22
  Speaker 6: anti Semitic.
• 51:24
  Speaker 4: TJ.
• 51:25
Speaker 18: Did you want to say something? I'm gonna ask any
• 51:26
Speaker 18: questions ahead. I want to get you feedback on this.

• 51:45
Speaker 18: What what good is this power though, in this affordability movement,
• 51:48
Speaker 18: if no one's there to harness it, I guess is
• 51:49
  Speaker 18: what I'm getting.
• 51:50
Speaker 6: Well, but Mandamie thinks he can do it through socialism.
• 51:54
Speaker 6: And when Trump fifth communists, Mandamie used the phrase seizing
