- 0:01Speaker 1: With Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Let's go, baby, let's go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: From a championship backfield to your morning drive. Hands to Hester,
- 0:08Speaker 1: and Hester.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Yep, got it, five out of five.
- 0:11Speaker 1: You're locked in to Off the Bench.
- 0:13Speaker 4: Flynn is back to throw for the end zone ball.
- 0:18Speaker 5: Live from the Raising Cane Studio, here's Jacob Hester and
- 0:23Speaker 5: Matt Flynn.
- 0:54Speaker 6: Yo!
- 0:54Speaker 1: Yo!
- 0:54Speaker 7: Oh!
- 1:00Speaker 2: Welcome in.
- 1:01Speaker 8: OTB here live from the Raising Cane studio on this
- 1:05Speaker 8: Thursday morning. Jake Flynn, Alondra, and Tay-Tay all here with you.
- 1:11Speaker 8: Wolfpack is here. We have actual games to break down,
- 1:16Speaker 8: to preview. We've got a little bit of everything. And
- 1:19Speaker 8: as Taylor said, guess what? The SEC and the LSU, well,
- 1:23Speaker 8: looks like they, for the moment, their buds are good.
- 1:25Speaker 2: They're friends.
- 1:27Speaker 3: They're not going to vote? Oh, my God. Shock of
- 1:30Speaker 3: the century there.
- 1:31Speaker 2: They are not going to vote. I was kind of disappointed.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Kind of a letdown. You're kind of hoping to see.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I mean, there's all this buildup going up to it.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I was like, come on. A little public yay or nay.
- 1:42Speaker 3: A live stream would have done numbers.
- 1:44Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:46Speaker 7: I was ready to watch it. I was ready to
- 1:47Speaker 7: be on Vote Watch all day today. You did preview
- 1:51Speaker 7: Vote Watch.
- 1:52Speaker 9: Your promo is, yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 2: That's about Vote Watch. We're watching the votes. Counting the
- 1:57Speaker 2: hanging chads.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I'm sorry, man.
- 1:58Speaker 9: Can't really change that midday either.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, can't do it. Hell of a promo, though.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Thank you. I was feeling it.
- 2:06Speaker 7: I was, like, levitating above myself, watching myself do that promo.
- 2:12Speaker 7: I really wanted it to be, like, one vote, yes.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I wanted it to be Ole Miss. We're not going
- 2:22Speaker 2: to get that chance now because they took this vote
- 2:24Speaker 2: away from us. Hmm.
- 2:27Speaker 9: Sounds unconstitutional to me.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Really? Right? Thank you.
- 2:31Speaker 9: Supposed to vote.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 2:36Speaker 8: There's been a lot of talking heads over the last
- 2:39Speaker 8: couple days, too, nationally. Honestly, a lot of people were
- 2:43Speaker 8: in favor of LSU's side of things, too.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Well, of course.
- 2:47Speaker 8: A lot of times, certainly ESPN employees, you think they're
- 2:52Speaker 8: going to side with the SEC.
- 2:54Speaker 2: They've got a partnership, but they did not.
- 2:57Speaker 8: Like, outside of Paul Feinbaum, which the irony yesterday of
- 3:04Speaker 8: me watching whatever morning show they have, it's the same
- 3:08Speaker 8: show but has different names, first take, get up, same thing.
- 3:11Speaker 8: And he was calling Virgie Osbury a puppet. The guy's
- 3:15Speaker 8: just a puppet, the athletic.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Director or whatever.
- 3:16Speaker 8: I was like, there's no bigger puppet for the SEC
- 3:21Speaker 8: than Paul Feinbaum. Like, he is the puppet. They tell him,
- 3:27Speaker 8: he tells us, and that's how it's always been. That
- 3:30Speaker 8: man knows zero about football, not an ounce of football.
- 3:35Speaker 8: He couldn't line up 11 on 11 if his life
- 3:38Speaker 8: depended on it. He could not tell you one run concept,
- 3:44Speaker 8: passing concept, protection concept, coverage concept, anything.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Not one. I fully believe that. Not one.
- 3:54Speaker 8: But he's the puppet for the SEC. So that's why
- 3:57Speaker 8: he's up there. And he tells you what they tell him.
- 4:00Speaker 8: So when I heard that, I was like, the irony
- 4:04Speaker 8: of Paul Feinbaum calling anybody a puppet. And certainly somebody
- 4:08Speaker 8: that once that gets back to him, I don't know
- 4:11Speaker 8: Virg to be somebody that.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Just sits on that. Yeah, no.
- 4:15Speaker 8: Either.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I'll brush it off. Yeah. Do you think Paul knows
- 4:18Speaker 2: what a sluggo is? I bet he doesn't even know
- 4:20Speaker 2: what that is.
- 4:21Speaker 9: He doesn't know what a pluggo is for sure.
- 4:23Speaker 2: So he's a puppet, huh? Good Lord.
- 4:25Speaker 9: Boys.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It's like someone.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Boys went by this saying that served me well in
- 4:30Speaker 3: the past. If you disagree with Paul Feinbaum, then you're
- 4:33Speaker 3: normally right, which I appreciate because we always disagree. But, man,
- 4:36Speaker 3: I was looking forward to all these people trying to
- 4:39Speaker 3: tell me that they had 11 votes. No, they didn't.
- 4:41Speaker 3: They didn't have a vote. They never asked and took
- 4:44Speaker 3: a poll. They were never going to vote on this.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Saying he wanted to publicly embarrass LSU, make it look
- 4:49Speaker 3: like he won this battle.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It was all stupid.
- 4:51Speaker 3: It was all for nothing. We've talked about this for
- 4:53Speaker 3: four days and for what? I was watching and I
- 4:58Speaker 3: was like, and I was thinking about this. You can
- 5:00Speaker 3: look at it a couple of different ways about the
- 5:02Speaker 3: ESPN thing. You think they'd side with the SEC because
- 5:04Speaker 3: there's a partnership.
- 5:06Speaker 7: If I had to bet, and I bet there's always
- 5:09Speaker 7: got to be two sides to everything, but I would
- 5:11Speaker 7: bet that ESPN would have leaned in to LSU being
- 5:16Speaker 7: right because we all know LSU does numbers and there
- 5:21Speaker 7: is a contract in place with ESPN and the SEC.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So if LSU would, let's just.
- 5:27Speaker 7: Say he would have been, they had the 11 votes
- 5:28Speaker 7: or whatever, and they would have gotten kicked out, that
- 5:31Speaker 7: is a big moneymaker getting kicked out. So yeah, I
- 5:36Speaker 7: wasn't surprised when I saw ESPN folks all over agreeing
- 5:40Speaker 7: that this was a really dumb vote and LSU was
- 5:43Speaker 7: not going anywhere.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I mean, the problem is, is we... It's out there.
- 5:50Speaker 2: It's news.
- 5:50Speaker 7: You have to talk about it. You have to discuss it.
- 5:52Speaker 7: You have to get nervous about it. You have to
- 5:54Speaker 7: get upset about it because it's very relevant. They said
- 5:57Speaker 7: there was a vote.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Okay. Even if there's a.
- 6:00Speaker 7: 1% chance this vote happens, it's still not a 0% chance.
- 6:06Speaker 7: So it's still something to get nervous about. There is
- 6:10Speaker 7: a chance, albeit a very small chance. But, yeah, it's,
- 6:15Speaker 7: you know, whatever. We got all excited for nothing.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I was so excited, too. I wanted that vote. It
- 6:22Speaker 2: would have been fun. It would have been fun. It
- 6:24Speaker 2: would have been like, no.
- 6:26Speaker 7: I was really thinking they'd pan to every school, and
- 6:28Speaker 7: they'd be like, no. And then Ole Miss is the last.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And then Ole Miss is like, yeah, kick them out.
- 6:34Speaker 8: Actually, I think Ole Miss being first would have been
- 6:37Speaker 8: even more fun.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do this. Yeah, of course. What do you think, Brad?
- 6:42Speaker 2: I love it, Chad. It's color coach, man. Yeah, then
- 6:46Speaker 2: you do it, and then the other school's like, I'm
- 6:48Speaker 2: not doing that.
- 6:49Speaker 3: They look at all the other schools. They're like, guys,
- 6:51Speaker 3: come on. What are you guys doing? I thought we
- 6:55Speaker 3: talked about this before. Y'all said you were going to
- 6:57Speaker 3: vote with me.
- 6:57Speaker 8: Y'all don't understand the levels that I want LSU to
- 7:03Speaker 8: take this out on everybody.
- 7:05Speaker 9: They will.
- 7:05Speaker 2: On the field. You know what I mean? Everybody. I
- 7:09Speaker 2: don't want them to ease up.
- 7:12Speaker 8: I don't want them to not come into a game
- 7:15Speaker 8: like they came into the game last week.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:19Speaker 8: Because they used that as motivation last week. That was
- 7:22Speaker 8: a fired-up football team that wanted to prove a point.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 2: You can prove a point every week.
- 7:30Speaker 8: Louisiana Tech just happens to be the point that you've
- 7:33Speaker 8: got to prove this week, and they're in the way.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I'm sure it's a team full of nice guys, too. Yeah, look,
- 7:40Speaker 2: you know me. I'm go dogs every other week. Great dudes.
- 7:45Speaker 9: It's really hard for my hands to do that.
- 7:47Speaker 2: It is.
- 7:48Speaker 7: Dogs this right here it's like a bulldog it's not
- 7:52Speaker 7: a natural thing no it's like you gotta like you
- 7:54Speaker 7: gotta convince your fingers to do.
- 7:55Speaker 2: It yeah i don't like i feel like i'm doing
- 7:57Speaker 2: it's pretty well i mean you grew up in the 318.
- 8:02Speaker 3: You're you're born being able to do that yeah just
- 8:04Speaker 3: because baylor lost last week because dj lagway can't put
- 8:07Speaker 3: it in front of the tight end on a two-point
- 8:09Speaker 3: conversion doesn't mean you got to get mad at me
- 8:10Speaker 3: buddy you.
- 8:11Speaker 7: Have to like go hook them first and then I
- 8:14Speaker 7: don't do hooks first.
- 8:15Speaker 8: Then convince them to go down. I actually go pointer, pinky,
- 8:18Speaker 8: in first, and then I throw the thumb over there.
- 8:21Speaker 8: I just try to go straight to it.
- 8:22Speaker 9: It makes my fingers hurt.
- 8:26Speaker 2: You go all sorority girl video. Go wildcats.
- 8:30Speaker 7: Go wildcats.
- 8:39Speaker 9: Why do they do that?
- 8:40Speaker 2: I don't know, but God, I love that video. It's
- 8:42Speaker 2: so good. Let's play it. So good. At some point.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Roll the tape.
- 8:45Speaker 9: Roll it.
- 8:47Speaker 8: We do have a lot going on today. Rodney Rance
- 8:49Speaker 8: is coming in. I think I said 830. Louisiana Sports
- 8:53Speaker 8: Hall of Fame's got a new class.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Big day. We're not in it. Oh, shocker.
- 8:57Speaker 9: Wait, y'all aren't?
- 8:59Speaker 2: No, we're not.
- 8:59Speaker 9: We got to confront him about this.
- 9:03Speaker 2: I think sometimes Rodney forgets that we play sports.
- 9:07Speaker 9: Sometimes I forget Ronnie plays.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Because we have such good takes. I think so.
- 9:11Speaker 3: This is not a shot at Matt whatsoever. Especially you, though,
- 9:15Speaker 3: because you played high school football in Louisiana and then
- 9:18Speaker 3: to LSU. I feel like a lot of other people
- 9:22Speaker 3: that did that in one national championships are in.
- 9:24Speaker 8: I guess 5A player of the year in the state
- 9:27Speaker 8: in high school doesn't mean anything anymore.
- 9:29Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. What else do you have to do?
- 9:32Speaker 2: Ronnie. There's a rodeo clown. Terrio made it in. Should
- 9:35Speaker 2: have played for the Saints. Shout out to the Riot.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Should have played for the Saints. I know.
- 9:39Speaker 9: I saw him Friday, and I was like, congrats.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I love our guy Terrio.
- 9:44Speaker 9: He's the best.
- 9:46Speaker 2: He's in the card game.
- 9:47Speaker 9: He is. He really is. I told you all that
- 9:50Speaker 9: the governor came on AFR.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:52Speaker 9: He went to Don Juan to go, and I was like, oof.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Don Juan.
- 9:56Speaker 9: I was like, sir, you're going to want to burn
- 10:00Speaker 9: that suit after this.
- 10:02Speaker 2: But he.
- 10:04Speaker 9: That suit is... He's never going to wear that suit again.
- 10:06Speaker 2: No, that suit is.
- 10:07Speaker 6: And his wife is never going to wear the pantsuit
- 10:09Speaker 6: she ever wore again either.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That's so true.
- 10:10Speaker 2: That suit is real good. It's done.
- 10:13Speaker 9: But he... They.
- 10:15Speaker 6: You just said Terry is into ripping packs now, and
- 10:17Speaker 6: so they had some cards. They had college ones, though, too,
- 10:20Speaker 6: that they were ripping, but first pack that he, that
- 10:24Speaker 6: Jeff Landry opens up, the first card he takes out,
- 10:27Speaker 6: a Bobby A.
- 10:28Speaker 9: Bear card. I wanted to send that to T-Bob so bad,
- 10:31Speaker 9: he would have lost his mind.
- 10:32Speaker 2: The Cajun Cannon. Oh, why would T-Bob lose his mind?
- 10:34Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 10:35Speaker 9: Oh, he loves Jeff.
- 10:39Speaker 2: That's good. Yeah.
- 10:42Speaker 8: I feel like we have some ownership in Terrio getting
- 10:45Speaker 8: back into cards.
- 10:46Speaker 2: That's our bad. We talked to Moscone. I remember that
- 10:48Speaker 2: one time in the hallway. Y'all are in cards? We're like, yeah,
- 10:52Speaker 2: here's the deal. Here's the deal. We're talking about them.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And then, like, the next week, I think they were
- 10:55Speaker 2: opening them up on AFR.
- 10:57Speaker 3: That's our bad. Jake's like the card godfather in the building.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I was driving a couple weeks ago, and Terrio was
- 11:04Speaker 3: on AFR, and he was like, hang on, I'm going
- 11:06Speaker 3: to text Hester. See how much this card's worth. He's like,
- 11:08Speaker 3: Jake said this, Matt. I don't know if you're paying attention,
- 11:10Speaker 3: but Jake said this is what it's worth.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I was like, man.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 2: He actually had some good cards.
- 11:18Speaker 8: My degenerate card habit actually comes from slapping to my left.
- 11:24Speaker 7: If you're going to do something, you've got to go
- 11:27Speaker 7: all in.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Do it 120%. I'll never forgive you. They call it
- 11:34Speaker 2: a hobby for a reason. It takes up your entire
- 11:37Speaker 2: brain space throughout the day. Sitting there at T-Bob's going
- 11:41Speaker 2: away party. Just watching.
- 11:44Speaker 9: I walked over. I said, y'all watching a car break?
- 11:47Speaker 2: Whoops. This was noticeable? That we weren't being social? No,
- 11:53Speaker 2: we were. Just between ourselves.
- 11:55Speaker 9: Just in the corner with the phone out.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, talking to you is like literally social.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Yeah. We were trying to hit that purple shock.
- 12:02Speaker 3: $ 4 card.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Oh, we thought we were rich.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 12:10Speaker 2: One day, bud. One day. One day. You guys got
- 12:12Speaker 2: to hold.
- 12:13Speaker 8: Because both of us have missed out on the biggest
- 12:16Speaker 8: ones by this much.
- 12:19Speaker 2: That's my heartbreakers. Anyways. They say if you keep doing it,
- 12:23Speaker 2: it'll eventually come back around. I hadn't gotten there yet.
- 12:27Speaker 2: So Jumbo's coming on at 8.30.
- 12:29Speaker 8: We're going to have Chef at 9.15. Trey from Pro
- 12:33Speaker 8: Dreams is coming in at 9.30. They've got a signing
- 12:35Speaker 8: with DJ Pickett.
- 12:36Speaker 1: DJ? DJ?
- 12:38Speaker 9: Get your five jerseys now.
- 12:40Speaker 2: From LSU.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 8: He's going to have some kind of a giveaway, too,
- 12:43Speaker 8: with a couple autographed pictures of DJ Pickett coming in.
- 12:46Speaker 8: So we'll give you all that information. So stay locked
- 12:49Speaker 8: in for that as well. So we have a lot
- 12:52Speaker 8: to get to, including breaking down actual play last night.
- 12:57Speaker 8: And Drake May, what is you doing? We'll do it
- 13:00Speaker 8: all when we come back here on OTB.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 13:03Speaker 9: Cannonball.
- 13:05Speaker 2: RussellPool.com. Let's go.
- 13:08Speaker 8: RussellPools.com. Maybe you prefer a jackknife. I don't really care
- 13:12Speaker 8: how you jump into the pool because you're going to
- 13:14Speaker 8: be so happy that you have a Russell pool in
- 13:17Speaker 8: your backyard. Now, remember, if you've bought a home and
- 13:20Speaker 8: it already has an existing pool, or maybe you built
- 13:23Speaker 8: one 25, 30 years ago, and you just want it
- 13:27Speaker 8: to look different, you want more features, you want something
- 13:30Speaker 8: that is going to wow everyone, they can come.
- 13:32Speaker 2: In and they can actually... renovate your pool we're.
- 13:36Speaker 8: Not talking about just new plaster we're talking about actually
- 13:38Speaker 8: adding things adding features to your pool that is another
- 13:42Speaker 8: great service to have over at.
- 13:43Speaker 7: Russellpools.com that's right when you um we think about like
- 13:46Speaker 7: pool companies you don't really think of like pool renovation
- 13:49Speaker 7: who's the expert at renovating a pool because a lot
- 13:52Speaker 7: of people buy a house and there's already an existing
- 13:54Speaker 7: pool maybe that pool is built in the 80s the
- 13:56Speaker 7: 90s whatever and it needs an upgrade It needs to
- 13:59Speaker 7: get Beyonce-ed a little bit, like Jake says.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Well, Russell Pools, not every company can do it. Russell
- 14:03Speaker 2: Pools is the expert. RussellPools.com.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I don't want downtown.
- 14:37Speaker 9: Welcome from the FBI.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers. This is Off the Bench.
- 14:44Speaker 9: Whisper by my side.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Rude-legged fools are on my website.
- 14:52Speaker 6: Full of people who are doing wrong.
- 14:56Speaker 9: Yeah, it's about a call of the D.A.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Man.
- 14:59Speaker 9: When I heard this woman sing a song. All right,
- 15:17Speaker 9: welcome back in OTB.
- 15:39Speaker 2: We had some NFL action last night. We'll get to that.
- 15:41Speaker 8: But also, we want to let you know that we
- 15:45Speaker 8: are watching film every Tuesday now.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Now, it's not going to go away on this show.
- 15:48Speaker 2: We're still going to watch some tape.
- 15:50Speaker 8: But it's radio. And so we try to explain what
- 15:53Speaker 8: we see. And obviously, we're on YouTube as well. It
- 15:55Speaker 8: works better for the YouTube audience. But we are going
- 15:59Speaker 8: to do it every Tuesday. We've got a new YouTube page,
- 16:03Speaker 8: Eye in the Sky. Alondra, we appreciate certainly all your
- 16:07Speaker 8: help that you... Did over the last couple of days
- 16:11Speaker 8: to get that out there. And you can subscribe on YouTube,
- 16:14Speaker 8: Eye in the Sky with Hester and Flynn. We do
- 16:17Speaker 8: it from the garage. Shout out to the garage. And
- 16:20Speaker 8: it's only going to get better. That was kind of
- 16:21Speaker 8: our preseason game.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. We walked into the door. Joint practice. We
- 16:25Speaker 2: walked into the door with no plan in place, really.
- 16:29Speaker 2: No rehearsal. Barely even talked about it. But we did it. And, yeah,
- 16:34Speaker 2: we named it about four seconds before the camera started rolling.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Nailed it.
- 16:39Speaker 7: And yeah, we got a lot of good feedback, so
- 16:41Speaker 7: a lot of people that have watched it have given
- 16:43Speaker 7: us feedback, I don't know what to look at, and
- 16:44Speaker 7: I think a lot of the feedback is stuff that
- 16:46Speaker 7: we kind of were like, yeah, we gotta do this,
- 16:48Speaker 7: we need to get this together, so I'm really excited
- 16:51Speaker 7: about it, really excited about bringing LSU fans kind of
- 16:55Speaker 7: an inside look at, and I know we've done film here,
- 16:58Speaker 7: and there's some other people that have done film, I
- 17:00Speaker 7: know Richard and Hanny, they did some film last year
- 17:02Speaker 7: and things like that, but We're going to try to
- 17:04Speaker 7: get even a little bit more in depth and, you know,
- 17:06Speaker 7: with a new offense, a new offensive scheme, being able
- 17:09Speaker 7: to really kind of teach folks how to watch film,
- 17:15Speaker 7: how to look at it, how to break down like
- 17:17Speaker 7: from an offensive standpoint, what a defense is doing and
- 17:19Speaker 7: vice versa. Kind of tell you why Blake Baker is
- 17:22Speaker 7: so good at what he does throughout the season and
- 17:25Speaker 7: really teach you about what this Lane Kiffin offense wants
- 17:28Speaker 7: to do, how they like to take advantage and, and
- 17:30Speaker 7: get teams tired and go fast and do all the things.
- 17:33Speaker 7: So we're going to teach a lot of people how
- 17:34Speaker 7: to watch film and teach you about your LSU Tigers
- 17:36Speaker 7: throughout the season, every single week.
- 17:39Speaker 8: Yep, and look forward to it. And you'll watch one play,
- 17:42Speaker 8: and you'll know more than Paul Feinbaum. So eye in
- 17:45Speaker 8: the sky on YouTube. Subscribe, like, watch, all of those things,
- 17:50Speaker 8: all the things. And you can find more information on
- 17:54Speaker 8: our social media pages.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Did you ever accept that collab, right? I did.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Not a big deal. Influencer. Not a big deal. Influencer,
- 18:03Speaker 2: no doubt. No question about it.
- 18:06Speaker 8: All right, we had actual NFL action last night. The
- 18:11Speaker 8: world champion Seattle Seahawks beat the Patriots 13-10. I am
- 18:17Speaker 8: not going to sit here and tell you that was
- 18:20Speaker 8: a very well-executed, exciting game. A lot of defense. A
- 18:26Speaker 8: lot of poor offense. But, look, those are two really
- 18:29Speaker 8: good defenses. It was the first game.
- 18:31Speaker 7: There was poor offensive plays sprinkled in through it. But,
- 18:35Speaker 7: my God, it was an incredibly skillful defensive game.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:41Speaker 7: Flying around, energy, smart players. I mean, good players, well coached. And, yes,
- 18:47Speaker 7: really– like, Drake made some really, really dumb plays. What,
- 18:51Speaker 7: three interceptions in the fourth quarter?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 7: Things that can't happen and you don't expect it from him,
- 18:58Speaker 7: a guy that came in second in votes in NFL
- 19:00Speaker 7: MVP a season ago, took his team to the Super Bowl,
- 19:03Speaker 7: can't happen, trying to make a play towards the end,
- 19:07Speaker 7: pressing a little bit. Now, he played pretty well the
- 19:10Speaker 7: whole game until those mistakes. Those two defenses are really good.
- 19:16Speaker 7: Both of those teams, I believe, are going to.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Be up there.
- 19:19Speaker 7: Now, Seattle has got a little bit of an uphill
- 19:22Speaker 7: battle for a little while with, you know, just the
- 19:25Speaker 7: starting quarterback going out on the fifth play of the
- 19:27Speaker 7: game of the NFL season.
- 19:30Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 19:31Speaker 7: I know they got some good news on his, I
- 19:33Speaker 7: think it was a CT scan and an.
- 19:35Speaker 2: MRI last night.
- 19:36Speaker 8: Everything right now looks like it's not going to be
- 19:40Speaker 8: as serious as they may be initially.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:42Speaker 7: But still it's going to be a, you know, it's
- 19:45Speaker 7: going to be some time. So it's true lock season
- 19:48Speaker 7: up in, Seattle.
- 19:49Speaker 2: But you're right. Offensively, there were some bad plays. There
- 19:52Speaker 2: were some really dumb plays.
- 19:54Speaker 7: But, like, defensively, it was a fun game to watch
- 19:56Speaker 7: just on, like, watching the defensive end, how smart those
- 19:59Speaker 7: linebackers are. Incredible plays. Great ball skills by the defensive backs.
- 20:04Speaker 7: It was fun to watch.
- 20:06Speaker 8: Drake May, 23 of 33, 178, one touchdown, three interceptions.
- 20:13Speaker 2: He takes three sacks. Did a lot with his legs, too.
- 20:17Speaker 2: He did. He ran for 47.
- 20:19Speaker 8: Drew Locke came in 16 of 22, 187, 8.5 per attempt,
- 20:25Speaker 8: one touchdown, no interceptions, only takes one sack. Drew Locke
- 20:28Speaker 8: outplayed Drake May.
- 20:31Speaker 3: When you're talking about the yards per attempt, that's what
- 20:33Speaker 3: Drew Locke does, man. Drew Locke's going to throw it
- 20:35Speaker 3: down to you.
- 20:36Speaker 8: Drake was like 5'4, 5.4 yards per attempt, and again,
- 20:40Speaker 8: drew 8.5.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I also had a 14-yard run.
- 20:46Speaker 4: A.J.
- 20:46Speaker 7: Brown goes out, so they and Romeo Dobbs did not
- 20:51Speaker 7: do well.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Romeo Dobbs was there, but he wasn't there.
- 20:55Speaker 7: Yeah, I think the first two passes they threw to him,
- 20:57Speaker 7: he dropped wide open first down. The other one they threw,
- 21:00Speaker 7: he got intercepted. It wasn't pretty for Romeo Dobson, who's
- 21:05Speaker 7: been pretty good in Green Bay. I think the Patriots
- 21:07Speaker 7: were probably pretty excited to get him, and I'm sure
- 21:09Speaker 7: hopefully he goes on to have a good season, but
- 21:12Speaker 7: made some mistakes last night.
- 21:14Speaker 2: But A.J. Brown going down, that was tough on the offense.
- 21:18Speaker 8: Yeah, it was tough if you had him in a
- 21:20Speaker 8: parlay where you only get first-half protection, not second-half protection.
- 21:24Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 21:26Speaker 2: He got hurt, like, literally, like, the first couple plays
- 21:29Speaker 2: of the third quarter. Where are you getting protection out
- 21:33Speaker 2: on these bets?
- 21:34Speaker 8: A lot of sportsbooks, first half, if you get hurt,
- 21:36Speaker 8: like Sam Darnold bets.
- 21:37Speaker 3: To your point, Matt, like, it was really Ramondre Stevenson
- 21:40Speaker 3: out of the backfield.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 3: It was kind of, like, the only thing they, because
- 21:43Speaker 3: he didn't, he got 51 yards rushing, but, like, he
- 21:47Speaker 3: had nowhere to go.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:48Speaker 3: He did it on, like, 19 carries, but. He had
- 21:50Speaker 3: like 40 yards receiving?
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah, he had 44.
- 21:52Speaker 8: He had five catches for 44 yards. He had 18
- 21:55Speaker 8: rushes for 51 yards, 2.8 yards per can. Corey Kiner,
- 22:00Speaker 8: former LSU Tiger, long time ago. He had six carries
- 22:04Speaker 8: for 11 yards, so 1.8. Corey Kiner. He played for
- 22:08Speaker 8: LSU before he transferred to Cincinnati.
- 22:11Speaker 3: He did. Jake's not lying to you.
- 22:13Speaker 2: He did. Yeah.
- 22:14Speaker 8: So the Patriots as a team had 31 carries for
- 22:16Speaker 8: 109 yards, 3.5 yards per carry, and that's with Drake
- 22:21Speaker 8: May adding 47 yards and 6.7.
- 22:23Speaker 7: Yards per carry. Most of the game, I was legitimately watching.
- 22:27Speaker 7: I was like, man, Drake's, man, he is good. He's
- 22:29Speaker 7: very good. He's methodical. He's smart with the ball.
- 22:32Speaker 2: He uses his legs. He's accurate.
- 22:34Speaker 7: Until the fourth quarter, man, those were some uncharacteristic mistakes
- 22:37Speaker 7: by him, like throwing.
- 22:38Speaker 2: It off balance, like just throw the ball away. Some
- 22:42Speaker 2: dumb mistakes, but.
- 22:45Speaker 8: The last one is inexcusable. You can't do that. You're
- 22:49Speaker 8: in perfect position to tie the game.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Was that a second down throw? Either way, they were
- 22:56Speaker 3: in field goal range.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Either way, they were in field goal range.
- 23:00Speaker 9: I'm telling you, that schedule last year, they walked into
- 23:03Speaker 9: the Super Bowl.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Again, it's a last-place schedule. This year, first-place schedule. Again,
- 23:08Speaker 2: but they looked apart for three quarters that game. Defensively,
- 23:12Speaker 2: they did.
- 23:12Speaker 7: And defensively, they looked apart. Seattle's defense is good. So,
- 23:16Speaker 7: it's a– they– to Taylor, I mean, your point there, like,
- 23:20Speaker 7: it was Stevens. Like, they didn't have– after A.J. was gone,
- 23:23Speaker 7: they didn't have any weapons except for Drake May and
- 23:26Speaker 7: trying to.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I was wondering when Keyshawn Booty was going to come in. Oh,
- 23:29Speaker 2: that's right.
- 23:31Speaker 3: He's in Houston.
- 23:32Speaker 2: You traded him because you thought you had it figured out.
- 23:36Speaker 9: Hey, you think Mike was maybe a little distracted, and
- 23:38Speaker 9: that's why he.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Was– Distracted by what?
- 23:41Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 23:41Speaker 8: The puppies?
- 23:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Puppy.
- 23:44Speaker 9: He got a new puppy.
- 23:45Speaker 2: He did get it. He had a show of the world.
- 23:46Speaker 2: The PR pup. In his first press conference.
- 23:48Speaker 3: That must be it.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:50Speaker 9: Puppy, maybe the affair. I don't know.
- 23:54Speaker 2: The what? The love affair with the puppy. He loves fairs? Yeah,
- 23:57Speaker 2: he does love fairs. Everybody loves a fair.
- 23:58Speaker 3: I mean, who doesn't love a damn fair?
- 23:59Speaker 9: I think him and Diana Rossini went to one together.
- 24:01Speaker 2: A fair. Mm-hmm. Together.
- 24:03Speaker 9: Mm-hmm. Boats.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Two Fs.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Love boats. A-F-F.
- 24:07Speaker 9: Two Fs.
- 24:08Speaker 2: See, that's where we... And not boats and bros. No.
- 24:12Speaker 4: No.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Boats and pregos. I liked it. I see what you're
- 24:21Speaker 2: doing there. Yep.
- 24:22Speaker 7: It's fine because they lost.
- 24:24Speaker 2: It's fine because they lost, and they were up 10-0
- 24:27Speaker 2: versus the backup quarterback.
- 24:28Speaker 3: To your point, though, beat up 10-0. You lost A.J.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Brown.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Travion Henderson didn't even play. I mean, he was questionable
- 24:35Speaker 3: going in. He didn't suit up. So, yeah, they didn't
- 24:37Speaker 3: have a ton of weapons out there.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Jackson Smith and Jigba. Still good at football. Really good
- 24:44Speaker 2: at football. Still good at football. Very fast.
- 24:46Speaker 7: Got a good quick first step.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Yep. Price, the rookie running back, looked good for Seattle.
- 24:52Speaker 8: He did.
- 24:52Speaker 2: He only had 10 carries, but he had 52 yards
- 24:54Speaker 2: and looked fast.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Price looked good. I liked George Helani a little bit.
- 24:58Speaker 2: They like Helani a lot.
- 25:00Speaker 3: I thought Helani did a nice job.
- 25:01Speaker 9: Yeah, Price looked good.
- 25:03Speaker 2: He looked fast. Yeah.
- 25:07Speaker 6: Somebody said that Raymond Dre accelerates like a 1967 Volkswagen.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Is that good?
- 25:15Speaker 3: It doesn't sound good.
- 25:16Speaker 8: A Volkswagen doesn't sound like it goes from zero to 60.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Hey, I used to have.
- 25:20Speaker 9: A Jetta with a diesel engine, and that thing got
- 25:23Speaker 9: up there.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, those Germans can make a hell of
- 25:27Speaker 2: a car. They can.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I don't know if they're known for, like, I don't
- 25:31Speaker 3: know if you're going to bring one to a drag race.
- 25:34Speaker 2: In the 60s, they were making some cars now. Were they?
- 25:36Speaker 2: I don't know. I thought they were still recovering from
- 25:38Speaker 2: getting their butt whipped. Yeah. You're right.
- 25:42Speaker 3: That's like, sounds like Ramadre's ahead of his time.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Beat the brakes off them. I think they're trying to
- 25:49Speaker 2: say that the parking brake never got turned off.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I think. I'm reading it right.
- 25:56Speaker 9: I don't know, but they worked him like a dog.
- 25:58Speaker 2: He did. Whatever he makes, he earned it.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:01Speaker 2: That man had all the touches.
- 26:04Speaker 3: So how about Mac Holland's? Nobody ever talks about Matt Collins,
- 26:08Speaker 3: and he's just kind of a consistent player, right? Like,
- 26:10Speaker 3: everywhere he goes, when you need him, he makes plays.
- 26:12Speaker 8: I don't know if I told y'all, but, like, when
- 26:14Speaker 8: I went to camp, he was the main target. He
- 26:17Speaker 8: used to call 11 passes.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Are you skilled last night?
- 26:20Speaker 9: Shoes on or off?
- 26:21Speaker 2: They were off. They were off.
- 26:24Speaker 9: That's gross.
- 26:25Speaker 8: They were off right after practice. Like, immediately, almost like
- 26:28Speaker 8: they were on fire, he just throws them off. Matt
- 26:33Speaker 8: Collins went two.
- 26:36Speaker 3: In college? I actually do not know this. Virginia.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Alondra.
- 26:45Speaker 9: I looked it up.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Okay. Matt. Louisville. Oh, same conference. Y'all are really close.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Same conference.
- 26:51Speaker 3: He just seems like an ACC guy.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Yeah, he did.
- 26:54Speaker 9: Whenever I was like, okay, feels like ACC.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Matt Collins. Receiver for the Patriots. All right, what do
- 26:59Speaker 2: you got? Number 13.
- 27:00Speaker 9: ACC.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Duke. Nope.
- 27:02Speaker 3: NC State.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Y'all are hovering all over it.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Duke.
- 27:07Speaker 2: No, he already said Duke.
- 27:07Speaker 9: He just said that.
- 27:08Speaker 2: North Carolina. There you go. Well, he said Duke. You
- 27:12Speaker 2: said NC State. What's next? Who's hovering all around it?
- 27:17Speaker 2: The Tar Heels.
- 27:17Speaker 3: If it wasn't North Carolina, I guess Wake Forest. Who's
- 27:21Speaker 3: that fellow you said played for LSU?
- 27:22Speaker 2: Corey Kiner.
- 27:23Speaker 7: So when the graphic comes out in the season, how
- 27:26Speaker 7: many LSU players, former LSU players, are active on the roster?
- 27:30Speaker 2: They're not going to count it?
- 27:31Speaker 8: No, they're going to count it. He's a Cincinnati because
- 27:33Speaker 8: he spent more time there. So he was from the
- 27:36Speaker 8: Cincinnati area.
- 27:37Speaker 2: He was Mr.
- 27:38Speaker 8: Ohio in high school football.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:41Speaker 8: Him and Kevin Falk. Kevin was the running back coach
- 27:43Speaker 8: at the time. Had a good relationship in recruiting. Corey
- 27:47Speaker 8: comes down here. Incredible young man. Like, super nice.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Polished. Well-spoken.
- 27:53Speaker 8: Played his true freshman year. Like, played a good amount.
- 27:57Speaker 8: But kind of too far from home. And then I
- 28:00Speaker 8: think Kevin... didn't get retained as running back coach. That
- 28:03Speaker 8: relationship was gone, so he transferred back up.
- 28:05Speaker 2: I'm not mad at him. I'm just wondering. I'm giving
- 28:07Speaker 2: you the whole rundown. So there's rules and.
- 28:08Speaker 7: Regulations to the social media post, the graphic, former LSU players.
- 28:15Speaker 2: In the NFL.
- 28:18Speaker 7: It's a conversation worth having because there's a lot of
- 28:22Speaker 7: people moving around, college to college.
- 28:24Speaker 2: How many colleges get to claim they have an active player?
- 28:27Speaker 2: I think it's where you finish. They have someone on
- 28:28Speaker 2: the active roster. I think it's where you finish. I
- 28:31Speaker 2: think so. So Bama wouldn't claim Jalen Hurts?
- 28:33Speaker 8: I don't see them do it often. I don't see
- 28:37Speaker 8: actual Ohio State claim Joe Burrow. Fans might, but I don't.
- 28:42Speaker 8: But like a Jalen Hurts situation. Texas Tech doesn't claim
- 28:45Speaker 8: Baker Mayfield. I feel like they could both claim him.
- 28:48Speaker 8: I'm with you because he had real success.
- 28:50Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 28:51Speaker 2: And both. That's interesting. I don't think so there. Interesting
- 28:53Speaker 2: because some of these, I mean, Like Sam Leavitt. Well,
- 28:57Speaker 2: Arizona State claims Sam Leavitt.
- 28:58Speaker 7: Like when Max Johnson is in his sixth year in
- 29:00Speaker 7: the NFL, and he's 48. Are all eight teams going
- 29:05Speaker 7: to claim him?
- 29:07Speaker 2: That's a different one. And he's 48.
- 29:09Speaker 3: He started at six schools.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Max Johnson, LSU, A & M. 40-year-old rookie. UNC, Georgia Southern.
- 29:18Speaker 2: They're all of them.
- 29:20Speaker 3: They do the start and line up quick. They're like,
- 29:22Speaker 3: all right, we're going to take a commercial break.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Come back.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Max will tell you where he went to school. We
- 29:25Speaker 3: can't fit it all in one.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Good, clean fun. Good, clean fun. Good guy. Good guy.
- 29:34Speaker 8: Moral of the first NFL game of the year. Both teams,
- 29:36Speaker 8: I think, are good. Seattle is not going anywhere. There's
- 29:40Speaker 8: a reason why they didn't make a lot of moves
- 29:41Speaker 8: in the offseason. They feel pretty good about who they are.
- 29:44Speaker 8: And Drake May, what is she doing? That's my breakdown.
- 29:48Speaker 9: What is you doing?
- 29:49Speaker 2: More. What are we doing? OTB coming back here live

- 32:29Speaker 2: GoTommies.com. Yo, Tommy. That was so weak.
- 32:34Speaker 9: You're distracted.
- 32:35Speaker 2: I was distracted. What's going on? That was very weak.
- 32:38Speaker 3: I show up every morning for the Tommy's Live Read.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Yo, Tommy!
- 32:42Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you. God, what are you watching over there?
- 32:45Speaker 2: It's not Tour de France time. It's not the Masters.
- 32:47Speaker 9: It's got to be a Star Wars card break.
- 32:49Speaker 2: There's not. It's not a Star Wars card break. He's not.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I thought that initially as well. I was admiring my
- 32:56Speaker 2: new remote.
- 32:57Speaker 9: He didn't say a word during the break.
- 32:58Speaker 2: No, that wasn't it, bruh. He didn't say a word.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I was watching a video, but you didn't say a word.
- 33:02Speaker 2: I am. I have. A disease of a medical condition. Oh,
- 33:09Speaker 2: I know that.
- 33:11Speaker 9: Trust us.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Certified squirrel seer.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 2: If anybody knows, it's the people in this room and
- 33:16Speaker 2: the people watching. Sometimes I get distracted. What are you
- 33:24Speaker 2: doing with that remote? I don't know. I just got
- 33:26Speaker 2: it out. Admiring it.
- 33:28Speaker 9: I'm excited that you have that remote.
- 33:30Speaker 2: I do have this remote.
- 33:31Speaker 7: It is a, you know, we haven't gotten a lot
- 33:33Speaker 7: of help outside the foxhole.
- 33:36Speaker 2: As far as the film watching.
- 33:37Speaker 9: Not at all, actually.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Not at all. Zero, zero.
- 33:41Speaker 9: This has been a foxhole production.
- 33:43Speaker 7: Nobody wants to help. That's what we need to rename it.
- 33:46Speaker 7: So we got this remote.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Foxhole production. Foxhole production, yes. Thank you.
- 33:50Speaker 9: We should start a company.
- 33:52Speaker 8: Why not?
- 33:52Speaker 2: A production company? Let's do it right here. We can
- 33:55Speaker 2: produce MSG. No.
- 33:58Speaker 9: Make it horrible?
- 33:59Speaker 7: This remote right here, this is going to help us
- 34:01Speaker 7: watch film. It's not the greatest thing in the world.
- 34:05Speaker 7: It does have the basic functions, though. This is a
- 34:09Speaker 7: PowerPoint remote.
- 34:12Speaker 2: I was wondering how you figured it out. It's used
- 34:13Speaker 2: for motivational speakers. What in the Tony Robbins are you
- 34:20Speaker 2: talking about over there?
- 34:20Speaker 7: People give presentations in front of boardrooms. Well, we're going
- 34:26Speaker 7: to use it to watch film of LSU this year.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I'm excited. It just came in.
- 34:31Speaker 3: He was fired up. This morning he comes up to
- 34:34Speaker 3: me and he goes, hey, do we use that Insignia remote?
- 34:37Speaker 3: What's it for? We got a lot of remotes because
- 34:40Speaker 3: we got six different TVs. And I was like, I'm
- 34:42Speaker 3: not sure. I was like, I don't think it's for anything.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I was like, what TV are you trying to watch?
- 34:45Speaker 3: He's like, nope, I need some batteries. I was like, well,
- 34:48Speaker 3: this remote's about 100 years old, so I don't know
- 34:51Speaker 3: how old the batteries are. And he's like, old batteries
- 34:53Speaker 3: are better than no batteries. And then he just pops
- 34:56Speaker 3: it right in.
- 34:57Speaker 2: What is it, AA, AAA? A couple of triple A's
- 35:00Speaker 2: right here.
- 35:01Speaker 9: I'll give you some brain elements.
- 35:01Speaker 2: You kidding me? Watch this. Laser pointers. Oh, it's off.
- 35:07Speaker 2: That was anti-climatic.
- 35:09Speaker 9: Oh, there it is.
- 35:09Speaker 2: There you go. Check this out.
- 35:10Speaker 8: Whoa.
- 35:11Speaker 2: But it doesn't go on the TV. Oh, wait a minute.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Wait.
- 35:13Speaker 2: It does show on the TV. Oh. Wait. What?
- 35:18Speaker 3: It's on the TV.
- 35:19Speaker 9: It didn't work when Richard tried it.
- 35:22Speaker 2: It didn't work earlier on the film. You can see
- 35:24Speaker 2: my reflection. Anyways, okay. Bad radio. It's good radio. No,
- 35:27Speaker 2: bad radio.
- 35:28Speaker 8: So we are going to be able to bring that
- 35:29Speaker 8: to you in more depth than just trying to explain
- 35:34Speaker 8: it for radio and then show you.
- 35:35Speaker 2: So we are very excited about it.
- 35:38Speaker 9: I need you to turn that back off.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:40Speaker 8: Cause we've all seen a cat that gets distracted by
- 35:45Speaker 8: the little red light.
- 35:46Speaker 2: That's exactly what's happening with you right now. The mittens.
- 35:50Speaker 8: All right. I don't, I really don't want to get
- 36:00Speaker 8: back into like a deep dive of LSU versus the
- 36:02Speaker 8: SEC feels like, okay, we're at a point where LSU
- 36:06Speaker 8: didn't roster the players.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Uh, president Ruth sent a letter. It was, I had
- 36:14Speaker 2: some spice to it. I liked it.
- 36:15Speaker 8: I had some spice to it, but like, Hey, rosters locked.
- 36:19Speaker 8: We didn't break a rule.
- 36:21Speaker 2: What are we doing?
- 36:22Speaker 8: And yesterday when I said like, you know, mistakes were
- 36:24Speaker 8: made on both sides and everybody's like, well, rule do
- 36:26Speaker 8: we break?
- 36:26Speaker 2: I didn't say you break a rule. It didn't break
- 36:27Speaker 2: a rule.
- 36:28Speaker 8: But there were some things that I think could have
- 36:31Speaker 8: been handled differently from everybody in this whole situation.
- 36:34Speaker 2: But whatever.
- 36:35Speaker 8: But now it does feel like it's on the other
- 36:37Speaker 8: side of it. I just watched the video. You know,
- 36:39Speaker 8: Pete Thamel saying it's pretty much over, not fully over.
- 36:42Speaker 8: There could be some punishments. There could be some different things,
- 36:45Speaker 8: suspensions or something.
- 36:47Speaker 2: If I'm the SEC, why? Why do that?
- 36:50Speaker 8: Then you're just continuing it down the road. I actually
- 36:54Speaker 8: would be surprised by that. I think that you're going
- 36:56Speaker 8: to see both sides.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Move on from this.
- 36:59Speaker 8: Now, are they going to be singing Kumbaya together by
- 37:02Speaker 8: the campfire anytime soon?
- 37:03Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 37:05Speaker 8: And God forbid, God forbid that there is a ruling
- 37:08Speaker 8: in a game that is like a 50-50 call and
- 37:11Speaker 8: it does not go LSU's way. Oh boy, that is
- 37:15Speaker 8: going to be spicy to say the least and probably
- 37:20Speaker 8: going to happen knowing the way that football seasons kind
- 37:22Speaker 8: of play out there. But it does feel like, okay, finally,
- 37:27Speaker 8: We found some adultness in the room, and we're going
- 37:30Speaker 8: to move on from this out of the SEC office
- 37:33Speaker 8: and not have our pitchforks out and trying to threaten
- 37:36Speaker 8: and do all the things that we talked about yesterday.
- 37:38Speaker 2: And everybody can kind of move on.
- 37:40Speaker 8: And I still think LSU, like Lane said during the
- 37:43Speaker 8: halftime speech, nobody likes you.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That's true. That's still true. That's going to be true.
- 37:49Speaker 8: I mean, we had South Carolina people asking, who are
- 37:51Speaker 8: you rooting for, Clemson or LSU? Clemson's their bitter rival.
- 37:55Speaker 8: They hate each other. And some people are like, I'm
- 37:58Speaker 8: moving for Clemson. I can't stay in LSU now.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Fine. We don't care. Bring it.
- 38:03Speaker 8: I still think they have that. I still think they're
- 38:05Speaker 8: going to have that in every matchup. This coaching staff
- 38:10Speaker 8: has done a great job. I think of not making
- 38:14Speaker 8: it a distraction, but making it something as a motivational tool.
- 38:19Speaker 2: And that's very fine line. It's very hard to do.
- 38:22Speaker 8: But after I went and talked with the team a
- 38:24Speaker 8: couple of weeks ago, I came back to you and
- 38:25Speaker 8: I said, they're not distracted.
- 38:27Speaker 2: They're focused on the main objective, and.
- 38:29Speaker 8: They're angry, and they're violent on the field, and they
- 38:33Speaker 8: want to show that, and they did. Now you've got
- 38:34Speaker 8: to go do it for another week in a row
- 38:36Speaker 8: if they go out there. And I know the opponent,
- 38:40Speaker 8: I get it. I understand that. But you played this
- 38:42Speaker 8: same team last year, and it was what, 23-7 if
- 38:45Speaker 8: I remember right?
- 38:46Speaker 2: It was ugly.
- 38:47Speaker 9: Honestly, after the Louisiana Tech game, I didn't feel good
- 38:50Speaker 9: last season.
- 38:51Speaker 8: No, it was as clunky as clunky could be. All right,
- 38:55Speaker 8: so you didn't dominate the same team last year. They
- 38:57Speaker 8: just put up 80. I know who they played. I
- 39:00Speaker 8: get it.
- 39:00Speaker 2: They put up 80 in a football game.
- 39:03Speaker 3: 63 in the first half.
- 39:04Speaker 8: Yeah, so look, go impose your will on them, which
- 39:07Speaker 8: I think they will. Leave no doubt and get fired
- 39:10Speaker 8: the hell up for the next week against Ole Miss.
- 39:14Speaker 10: Yeah, it's– the job of what the coaches have had
- 39:20Speaker 10: as far as a motivation– A motivational tool has probably
- 39:23Speaker 10: been pretty easy this season.
- 39:26Speaker 7: First of all, you're bringing in a bunch of guys
- 39:28Speaker 7: that you recruited from all over the country. So they
- 39:30Speaker 7: already like it's got that new, new team smell, that
- 39:34Speaker 7: new coaches smell to it. Like everything is new. So
- 39:37Speaker 7: you're motivated in that factor. But then you add all
- 39:41Speaker 7: of this outside noise, painting you the villain, telling you
- 39:45Speaker 7: you're doing this and that wrong, blah, blah, blah.
- 39:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 39:48Speaker 7: Yeah, the motivation has probably come pretty easy for the coaches,
- 39:51Speaker 7: and a lot of times that's the hardest part, finding things.
- 39:53Speaker 7: We talked about that yesterday. Coaches trying to find something
- 39:58Speaker 7: to motivate you. Saban motivated us in 04 in Florida.
- 40:02Speaker 4: They opened the gate to the stadium.
- 40:04Speaker 7: I can't believe they agreed to play this game.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Coaches have to find something, right?
- 40:12Speaker 7: Great coaches always say, man, I hoped for billboard material.
- 40:18Speaker 7: Coaches also say now, like, this day and age in
- 40:20Speaker 7: the social media era, it's so much easier to find
- 40:23Speaker 7: billboard material to help motivate. Well, the motivation has come
- 40:27Speaker 7: easy this year. And, you know, I was watching ESPN yesterday,
- 40:31Speaker 7: and like we said, the ESPN national folks were talking
- 40:34Speaker 7: very positive towards LSU about the whole case and the
- 40:37Speaker 7: vote and all that stuff. And I was like, stop, man.
- 40:40Speaker 7: Don't talk so good about us right now. Like, we're
- 40:43Speaker 7: doing our thing down here.
- 40:44Speaker 2: We're good. We are good right now. Yeah. If you
- 40:47Speaker 2: weren't here before Clemson, we don't want you after. That's
- 40:51Speaker 2: the way I think.
- 40:54Speaker 8: Look, LSU's won national championships in a lot of different ways.
- 40:57Speaker 8: In 2003, y'all were kind of like the surprise darling team.
- 41:02Speaker 8: Nobody had y'all there preseason. In 07, we lost two
- 41:06Speaker 8: games in triple overtime. Just randomness had to happen for
- 41:10Speaker 8: us to find our way back. And once it did,
- 41:12Speaker 8: we beat up on Ohio.
- 41:13Speaker 2: State, right? Super lovable team. Super lovable.
- 41:16Speaker 8: I don't know, the quarterback's kind of an ass. And
- 41:19Speaker 8: then in 2019, everybody loved you.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Everybody.
- 41:23Speaker 8: Like, outside of Alabama fans. Like, there was SEC fans
- 41:27Speaker 8: that were like, man, that team was fun to watch.
- 41:30Speaker 8: Everybody loved you, right? Still talk about it. This one
- 41:34Speaker 8: might be a different story. This one might be really
- 41:37Speaker 8: the first villain story for LSU in a national championship season.
- 41:40Speaker 2: And that's okay.
- 41:43Speaker 8: There's more than one way to skin a cat, as
- 41:45Speaker 8: you like to say. Do we know what it means?
- 41:47Speaker 8: We looked it up one time. Still don't really, but
- 41:50Speaker 8: it's a saying.
- 41:50Speaker 2: You go head down. And there's more ways to do it. No,
- 41:53Speaker 2: don't do that. You're ruining it.
- 41:55Speaker 8: You are ruining it. The knife swipe and the whole deal.
- 41:59Speaker 8: But it doesn't matter how you win it. It's if
- 42:03Speaker 8: you win it. And LSU's done it a number of
- 42:05Speaker 8: different ways already. Let's add one more to the fold.
- 42:08Speaker 8: See if they can go get it done. And with
- 42:10Speaker 8: that swipe, we will take a break.
- 42:12Speaker 2: More OTB.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 42:15Speaker 2: All right.

- 43:31Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers. This is Off the Bench.
- 43:39Speaker 2: Take it easy. All right, welcome back in, OTV. I
- 43:43Speaker 2: don't know what this show is called on studio. In studio,
- 43:47Speaker 2: I should say here. Unsportsmanlike. I know one of the
- 43:51Speaker 2: fellas on there.
- 43:51Speaker 9: Top five and not five.
- 43:53Speaker 2: That's right.
- 43:54Speaker 8: I don't know what this guy's name is talking, but
- 43:56Speaker 8: he was all over LSU being overrated, not showing up
- 44:00Speaker 8: against Clemson.
- 44:01Speaker 2: And so now they've got a segment.
- 44:04Speaker 9: Respect it.
- 44:05Speaker 8: Yeah, like she said that right. That's how they're spelling it.
- 44:09Speaker 8: or check it, Lane Kiffin will be suspended by the
- 44:11Speaker 8: end of the day. Hey, my guy, don't try to
- 44:13Speaker 8: come back and, like, make a point on this because
- 44:16Speaker 8: you were so wrong about how the game was going
- 44:18Speaker 8: to go. Like, don't create this little segment that you
- 44:22Speaker 8: look real white right now trying to do and, you know,
- 44:25Speaker 8: come back and.
- 44:27Speaker 2: See if you can be right. What's his name, Tay-Tay?
- 44:29Speaker 3: Evan Cohen.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Sure, him. He does a pretty good job. Michelle Smalls
- 44:34Speaker 2: is good.
- 44:35Speaker 9: I like Michelle.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Yep.
- 44:38Speaker 9: Chris Canty hates Joe Burrow.
- 44:39Speaker 2: He does. I know that about him. He hates Joe Burrow.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Chris Canty hates every quarterback but about three guys.
- 44:47Speaker 9: Jalen Hurts loves him. He's top five and not five.
- 44:50Speaker 10: Right?
- 44:50Speaker 9: Is it Jalen Hurts?
- 44:51Speaker 5: Yes.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts is top five, not five, which means, guys,
- 44:54Speaker 3: top four.
- 44:55Speaker 2: I would love to hear what this guy's saying right
- 44:57Speaker 2: now to try to backpedal. He might check it. You
- 45:01Speaker 2: don't know if you respect it. You didn't hear how
- 45:05Speaker 2: all in he was on Lane earlier last week. You
- 45:12Speaker 2: don't even know.
- 45:15Speaker 9: You don't. I don't respect it.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I don't respect it. What a stupid.
- 45:22Speaker 9: Is that their version of right, wrong, or indifferent?
- 45:25Speaker 2: Probably.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Probably so. What was the thing you used to do?
- 45:29Speaker 2: Big deal or no deal? No big deal. Big deal
- 45:32Speaker 2: or no big deal. I think you started at no deal, though. Yeah.
- 45:36Speaker 2: The change is no big deal. Yeah, because you're an idiot.
- 45:40Speaker 2: We love you sometimes, but you're an idiot. Squirrel.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 45:46Speaker 8: All right, go see our friends over at palagroup.com. P-A-L-A group.com.
