- 1:26Speaker 3: Too bad, But what did you expect?
- 1:29Speaker 2: It's a podcast call twenty five.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Whistling And usually I don't think this story would matter
- 1:38Speaker 1: to us here, but sometimes Eddie BET's on some weird stuff.
- 1:43Speaker 1: There is a story about federal prosecutors charging twenty men
- 1:46Speaker 1: with alleged conspiracy to manipulate basketball games in China.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Oh I bet on that. I've definitely bet on that
- 1:53Speaker 3: before Chinese dude, Yeah, because that stuff happens during the
- 1:57Speaker 3: day when nothing's happening.
- 1:59Speaker 1: There's also part of this too about college basketball here,
- 2:01Speaker 1: but the big version of it I saw first was
- 2:03Speaker 1: Chinese basketball. So I'm gonna read some of this. I
- 2:06Speaker 1: want to credit the right person. So it's the athletic.
- 2:11Speaker 3: What are they doing?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Also, Harball got hired by the Giants, which is cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 1: we'll talk about that. The Giants aren't the Jets.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Do you mean, like they win, they're not as much
- 2:20Speaker 4: of a dumpster fire.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, kind of a dumpster fire for sure, but
- 2:24Speaker 1: not as much of one. I think that's a place
- 2:27Speaker 1: Harball can go and actually win. It doesn't matter who
- 2:30Speaker 1: goes to the Jets.
- 2:31Speaker 4: No, I feel bad for whoever does go.
- 2:33Speaker 3: To the They know that though.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Federal prosecutors announced charges Thursday. This is from Mike
- 2:41Speaker 1: vor Kunov from the Athletic for twenty men for what
- 2:45Speaker 1: they said were their roles in an alleged conspiracy to
- 2:47Speaker 1: bribe and manipulate college basketball games involving then active college athletes.
- 2:53Speaker 1: The scheme, according to federal prosecutors, involved two men who
- 2:55Speaker 1: are also indicted for their alleged role in NBA sports
- 2:58Speaker 1: gambling scheme, as well as a former ls NBA player
- 3:00Speaker 1: Antonio Blackney.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Okay, this is so. This is the American one, not Chinese.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I think this is both.
- 3:05Speaker 4: It started in China, yeah, and then it made its
- 3:07Speaker 4: way too America.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Boy, this just popped across and I was reading a
- 3:11Speaker 1: log before he came on, and I thought, I wonder
- 3:12Speaker 1: if any been on Chinese basketball?
- 3:14Speaker 3: Yeah? I have before.
- 3:15Speaker 1: How do you know who to bet?
- 3:16Speaker 3: I don't.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I just pick you just pick a team that's there,
- 3:19Speaker 1: just based on yeah, based on.
- 3:21Speaker 3: No homework I'll do a Google just to be like,
- 3:24Speaker 3: all right, like, what's the bigger city. They probably have
- 3:26Speaker 3: better players.
- 3:27Speaker 1: It's fair. So then I guess a big part of
- 3:29Speaker 1: this is the college basketball American version of it. I
- 3:33Speaker 1: just saw the Chinese part. First prosecutor said the scheme
- 3:35Speaker 1: ultimately included thirty nine college basketball players and more than
- 3:38Speaker 1: seventeen teams who shaved points in more than twenty nine
- 3:41Speaker 1: Division one games.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I mean, bones, you you've watched lots of sports.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I want to read the teams here real quick, mostly
- 3:51Speaker 1: just to make sure there's no arkansa I mentioned it.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Oh gosh, you imagine.
- 3:54Speaker 1: The scheme was alleged to be far ranging. Players on
- 3:57Speaker 1: DePaul Nickel State, Tulane, LA, south Fordham, Northwestern State, Saint Louis, Buffalo,
- 4:02Speaker 1: so far as his team, nobody watches on ESPN, ESPN plus.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Yeah, but those are the ones that I like to
- 4:08Speaker 3: bet because I feel like they're not controlled, because no
- 4:10Speaker 3: one's watching them. Who cares?
- 4:11Speaker 1: Just play a real games, international waters. They can do
- 4:13Speaker 1: whatever they want, no role, I thought. Robert Morris, Southern
- 4:17Speaker 1: miss North Carolina A and T Coppin State, University of
- 4:19Speaker 1: New Orleans, Abilene, Christian, Alabama State, and Kennesaw State. Yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 1: they're all those uh G five schools. Yeah, schools, I
- 4:29Speaker 1: guess because there aren't as many eyeballs on it.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I wonder if that's why they target those kids
- 4:33Speaker 4: for sure, right, Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 1: And then it goes over. The scheme began in twenty
- 4:38Speaker 1: twenty two when they recruited Black and he then playing
- 4:42Speaker 1: in China for the Jiangsu Dragons.
- 4:44Speaker 3: You ever been on This doesn't sound familiar dragons.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I feel like every team would want to be the dragons.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And no, it's like a fight to get the dragon, right,
- 4:51Speaker 1: that's the that's their thing. Yeah, so that's out. I mean,
- 4:55Speaker 1: we're going to see more and more.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Of these okays for sure. So who are these guys.
- 4:57Speaker 3: These guys are just gamblers and they were just paying
- 5:00Speaker 3: players to shave points so that they can win money.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Hmm okay, and then they offer the players I think
- 5:06Speaker 4: I saw like anywhere between ten and thirty grand I.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Thought you had more to say.
- 5:09Speaker 3: So this has nothing I'm just trying to clarify, Like, so,
- 5:12Speaker 3: this has nothing to do with the odds makers, nothing
- 5:14Speaker 3: to do with anything more than that these are just
- 5:17Speaker 3: gamblers that see the odds or see the line and
- 5:20Speaker 3: they say, hey, we need to get close, we need.
- 5:22Speaker 1: To I don't think it's so much about the line.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I think it's just if we can get somebody, we
- 5:25Speaker 1: can affect what the line is and then bet it.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, so I.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Don't think they see lines. I think they find vulnerable
- 5:31Speaker 1: players or people players that yeah you know will Yeah,
- 5:36Speaker 1: I guess like a little legal. I was gonna say,
- 5:39Speaker 1: dance around the law, but then that's just a legal.
- 5:40Speaker 3: No, no, no, that's straight illlegal. Yeah. But so yeah, I
- 5:44Speaker 3: just thought it was something different because sometimes I just
- 5:46Speaker 3: watch and I look at the lines, and I'm like,
- 5:48Speaker 3: how can so many games get so close to this line?
- 5:52Speaker 1: But they really don't. Well it's again, it's like you
- 5:54Speaker 1: buy a white car, you see all the white cars.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Because I've done that experiment where we talked about how
- 5:59Speaker 1: do they get so close? So close, but we're only
- 6:01Speaker 1: talking about the games that got close. Where I did
- 6:04Speaker 1: a couple weekends in a row watching all college football
- 6:07Speaker 1: games that I bet on, and none of them were close.
- 6:08Speaker 1: They weren't like within nip points.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Yeah, those were really different, especially that Oregon one that
- 6:13Speaker 3: was really different.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that one. So that story just broke.
- 6:18Speaker 3: That's crazy. I don't like those stories because I started
- 6:22Speaker 3: thinking back of like all those parlays, Dude, I would
- 6:24Speaker 3: do twenty game parlays on college basketball and chopping State,
- 6:28Speaker 3: all those coffin state, NC A and A T and
- 6:34Speaker 3: two lane, they were all part of my parlays, and
- 6:36Speaker 3: I was like, those are great because no one really knows, like.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And there's not a bunch of eyeballs on those games, right, Like,
- 6:42Speaker 1: unless you're a die hard fan or a gambler, you're
- 6:44Speaker 1: not really watching those games where you may watch on
- 6:47Speaker 1: ESPN if Dukee North Carolina are playing correct or it's
- 6:50Speaker 1: a big ACC game. So that came across. I do
- 6:53Speaker 1: want to shout out Southwest Airlines because they allowed a
- 6:55Speaker 1: fantasy football punishment on their plane, which is pretty hilarious.
- 7:00Speaker 1: So and I have a clip of this too. On TikTok,
- 7:02Speaker 1: Jack Peterson revealed his league's punishment for the loser was
- 7:05Speaker 1: having to work an entire Southwest flight as an honorary
- 7:07Speaker 1: flight attendant, and they got the crew to go along
- 7:09Speaker 1: with him. Mike, would you play that clip.
- 7:11Speaker 3: We're going to test him out today. Aby does a
- 7:14Speaker 3: good job. You're gonna vote on whether he will be
- 7:16Speaker 3: the honorary.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Flight incident or not. So she's gonna assist us today
- 7:21Speaker 4: and if you'll say it's okay, we will vote him
- 7:24Speaker 4: his to be the honorary flight intendent.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It ultypically is up as the pilot.
- 7:28Speaker 2: But let's see how he does.
- 7:30Speaker 5: So everybody miss mister.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Miles, and so we had to go down the aisle
- 7:34Speaker 1: being a flight attendant. That's awesome, kind of funny. Flight
- 7:37Speaker 1: attendants are very trained though, if there's an accident or
- 7:39Speaker 1: something goes wrong. So if something went wrong, you know,
- 7:41Speaker 1: they were shoving him back in the seat. Shut up,
- 7:43Speaker 1: put your seat belts, sit down. Yeah, we're you know,
- 7:46Speaker 1: hijack is now back. I'm sorry, people are hijacking an Apple.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Oh like last night, I think last night he went
- 7:53Speaker 1: back up season two?
- 7:53Speaker 4: Yeah I started it, you did?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah? Is it good again?
- 7:56Speaker 4: It's good?
- 7:56Speaker 1: Awesome?
- 7:57Speaker 3: Do you understand how me and Kevin thought that, like
- 7:59Speaker 3: just hijacking was no.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I just thought you I expected you guys read my
- 8:02Speaker 1: mind was cool, wet it's back.
- 8:05Speaker 3: But I mean people don't really do that a lot.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Do you have your at your because I don't get
- 8:10Speaker 1: notifications on my phone on almost anything, but I get
- 8:13Speaker 1: Apple note probably because I have the like fight through
- 8:17Speaker 1: and I get them. It's like hijacked, So I knew
- 8:19Speaker 1: that hijack is just like a new season is out. Yeah.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Do you guys get those the Apple ones?
- 8:24Speaker 5: Not?
- 8:24Speaker 3: I don't get Netflix telling me or anything.
- 8:26Speaker 1: They just disregard all rules Apple you can block on
- 8:29Speaker 1: and they still send them through.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Do you remember when we got all when we all
- 8:33Speaker 3: got the YouTube album? Oh?
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh that was worse.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Remember that. Yeah, I was in high school.
- 8:39Speaker 1: You were like one.
- 8:41Speaker 4: I was in high school. I was like, I don't
- 8:42Speaker 4: care about YouTube.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Did you listen to the album?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Like? No, I don't know. I didn't care about YouTube either,
- 8:47Speaker 1: But I thought I'm getting free music because everybody was
- 8:49Speaker 1: paying for music then, so I wasn't angry at it,
- 8:53Speaker 1: and I think people weren't angry at it until a
- 8:55Speaker 1: few people were angry and that made the news, and
- 8:56Speaker 1: then they were like, well, let's be angry too, mob mentality,
- 8:59Speaker 1: because you were getting free music.
- 9:01Speaker 3: And all you had to do is just not listen
- 9:02Speaker 3: to it. Delete it.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I swear you couldn't delete it now if that
- 9:06Speaker 4: was true, I swear, you know, like I don't think.
- 9:11Speaker 4: And then every time I get my truck, it would
- 9:12Speaker 4: just pop on the bluetooth and be.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Like, ah, I think you could delete it.
- 9:16Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 9:16Speaker 1: That would be funny if you couldn't know Harball going
- 9:19Speaker 1: to the Giants. We saw that. That's pretty cool. I
- 9:22Speaker 1: think that works, and I think he is extremely stable.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And what's wild about Harball? And he was there for
- 9:29Speaker 1: what nineteen years? Yeah, what it was is that he's
- 9:32Speaker 1: not an offensive or defensive guy. He was a special
- 9:34Speaker 1: teams yeah coach. I didn't know that, and so you know,
- 9:38Speaker 1: most head coaches have a special te they're an offensive guy.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Maybe they were a great offensive coordinator and they bring
- 9:44Speaker 1: in an offensive coordinator, but they're still part of that
- 9:48Speaker 1: or saying with defense. But he wasn't either one, which
- 9:51Speaker 1: allowed him to manage a bit differently because he wasn't
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say not involved. Obviously he was, but
- 9:57Speaker 1: neither one of them was his specialty. I don't any
- 10:00Speaker 1: other coaches that came from being a special teams coach
- 10:03Speaker 1: to being a really successful head NFL football coach. But also,
- 10:08Speaker 1: you didn't know that, so maybe I just don't know.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Was he also a quarterback? Jim was, Yeah, so I
- 10:14Speaker 3: don't know if John was a quarterback.
- 10:16Speaker 1: John maybe in college. I'd have to look up John's
- 10:19Speaker 1: playing resume. And by that, I mean I already see
- 10:22Speaker 1: Kevin on it. So let me know when you get that.
- 10:26Speaker 1: So jobs that are open Arizona Cardinals, they have predicted
- 10:31Speaker 1: Clank Kubiak to get that job. The Seattle offensive coordinator.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the son.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Of Gary Gary.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Do you know from the Texans?
- 10:40Speaker 3: Know him from the Texans? And then A saw him
- 10:41Speaker 3: in the John Elway documentary because he was John Elway's
- 10:46Speaker 3: back up.
- 10:46Speaker 4: No, I think it was quarterbacks coach, possibly quarterbacks coach
- 10:51Speaker 4: in Denver. Yeah, yeah, when Gary was young.
- 10:54Speaker 1: What'd you think about that documentary?
- 10:55Speaker 3: I liked it. I liked it. I didn't know a
- 10:56Speaker 3: lot about John Elway other than just kind of razy
- 10:59Speaker 3: good athlete, all around athletes. You know he was going
- 11:04Speaker 3: to be a baseball.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Player, And say, have you seen it in uh? Okay, Yeah,
- 11:06Speaker 4: I didn't know a lot of I watched it for
- 11:08Speaker 4: the same reason. I don't know a lot other than
- 11:09Speaker 4: he's John Elway. But I didn't realize he did the
- 11:11Speaker 4: Eli Manning.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:15Speaker 3: See, I had heard that he did not accept the
- 11:18Speaker 3: team that drafted him. Yeah, yeah, I mean I didn't
- 11:21Speaker 3: I remember that in the documentary.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and he played because he did it to
- 11:25Speaker 4: the Colts. He played them week two of his rookie
- 11:27Speaker 4: year and they got film of that game and his.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Nasty, nasty dude.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Was it Baltimore, Yes at the time. Yeah, So the
- 11:34Speaker 1: Baltimore Colts drafted him. Correct, he said, I'm gonna play baseball, right,
- 11:38Speaker 1: I haven't seen the documentary.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Okay, so the so the Colts drafted him. He said
- 11:42Speaker 3: that at the time, there was a lot of rumors
- 11:44Speaker 3: about the owner, which is Jim's dad per Se. Uh, well,
- 11:49Speaker 3: there was just no discipline in the locker room. They
- 11:52Speaker 3: were a bad team, and that at one point the
- 11:55Speaker 3: owner like took over the headset and started calling plays.
- 11:58Speaker 3: That's awesome, That's what I'd want to do. He said,
- 12:01Speaker 3: I'm just not going to be part of that. And
- 12:03Speaker 3: so when they draft and he warned him too, if
- 12:05Speaker 3: you draft me, I'm not going to accept this draft.
- 12:07Speaker 3: And they drafted him, and he just said, I'm not
- 12:10Speaker 3: doing it. I'm gonna go play baseball instead.
- 12:12Speaker 4: They didn't really touch too much on baseball, like they
- 12:14Speaker 4: got kind of just real quick that part of it,
- 12:16Speaker 4: but they didn't get into like, oh and then he
- 12:17Speaker 4: did this in baseball.
- 12:18Speaker 1: He did do spring training because they got drafted by
- 12:20Speaker 1: the Yankees. Yes, so then I'm just gonna ask a
- 12:23Speaker 1: little bit about that story because I knew all of that,
- 12:26Speaker 1: but only broadbrush version when you say second week.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Uh oh, this is went this was once Denver picked
- 12:32Speaker 3: him up. Then he was kind of just playing baseball.
- 12:34Speaker 3: And then Denver was like, we'd like to offer you.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Did Baltimore trade his rights or did they just not
- 12:38Speaker 1: draft him?
- 12:39Speaker 3: Gosh, I don't remember that detail.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Well, they drafted him.
- 12:42Speaker 1: They did because they did draft because Eli Manning got
- 12:45Speaker 1: drafted by the Chargers.
- 12:46Speaker 4: And then yeah, they traded Rivers for him. Can't They
- 12:50Speaker 4: did draft him, But I.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Don't remember how all that went down, Right, wasn't he
- 12:54Speaker 3: not drafted by the Chargers?
- 12:56Speaker 4: Yeah, and then they traded him to the Giants for
- 12:58Speaker 4: Philip and then they were like the Chargers, well we'll
- 13:00Speaker 4: draft Rivers and then we'll swap.
- 13:02Speaker 3: But the Colts hated him like because of that. They're
- 13:04Speaker 3: just like, oh, you spoiled you know, kid, Like, who
- 13:06Speaker 3: do you think you are doing this? Or whatever. So
- 13:08Speaker 3: that when he when he started with the Broncos and
- 13:11Speaker 3: they played Week two in Baltimore, it was like crazy
- 13:15Speaker 3: and he played so bad and the Colts.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Are like, yeah, he played bad. Do they like crush him?
- 13:20Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I don't even know if they said the
- 13:22Speaker 4: final score, but they lost. And I mean the crowd.
- 13:24Speaker 4: They have all this footage of the crowd, just like
- 13:26Speaker 4: people with their shirts off, like you Jon La blah
- 13:29Speaker 4: blah blah, all this, and it was it was intense.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I didn't I didn't realize all that.
- 13:33Speaker 1: How is it one episode, one one one movie or
- 13:36Speaker 1: one documentary? It's good? Would guys recommend? Oh? Yes, yeah, cool,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I'll watch that one. I didn't get into Cocaine Quarterback
- 13:40Speaker 1: because you guys like that's kind of corny.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Oh you're gonna watch it?
- 13:42Speaker 1: No, I don't think so.
- 13:43Speaker 4: I don't watch it like you watched like one episode
- 13:46Speaker 4: of Cocaine Quarterback and make Yeah, I get it.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I loved it, dude. Okay, what about John Harball?
- 13:52Speaker 4: Oh, he played dB at Ohio but never played in
- 13:55Speaker 4: the NFL at University of Ohio, not the not the
- 13:59Speaker 4: Ohio State versus sorry Miami University of Ohio. That's what
- 14:02Speaker 4: it was. Lots of universities in Hawaii, Ohio, Miami of Ohio,
- 14:07Speaker 4: Miami of Ohio. We're big Ben played right?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah? Okay, so did I saw you know, Dan
- 14:15Speaker 1: Reno was drafting like the third round for baseball.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Really that's interesting.
- 14:21Speaker 4: M What did he play a position?
- 14:22Speaker 1: Did it say a pitcher in shortstop? When I saw
- 14:25Speaker 1: the card, it was a one on one he signed
- 14:27Speaker 1: it because he was drafted early. But Tom Brady was
- 14:30Speaker 1: also drafted by the Expos yep, man, those guys that
- 14:34Speaker 1: are just athletic.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Did Kyler Murray get drafted?
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah? He was really good by Oakland? Yeah, he was
- 14:40Speaker 1: really good. Yeah.
- 14:43Speaker 3: So what happens? What happens when you get drafted and
- 14:45Speaker 3: then you're just like I choose football? Like, how does
- 14:47Speaker 3: that go down?
- 14:49Speaker 1: So it's happened with a lot of people. Well, so
- 14:52Speaker 1: there are guys like Chris Chris Winkie, right, he played baseball, quarterback.
- 14:57Speaker 1: He played baseball in college and then minor league baseball
- 15:01Speaker 1: and then came back to football like twenty seven years old.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Yougt to fact check me on that. But and also
- 15:06Speaker 1: the team retained your rights for like a certain amount
- 15:09Speaker 1: of years.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Also, I mean, you can't play for another team if
- 15:12Speaker 3: you decided to go play baseball.
- 15:13Speaker 1: So they draft you and then I remember Kyler was
- 15:17Speaker 1: still Oakland had his rights for a long time. Still
- 15:20Speaker 1: might actually so yeah, you can't just hold out. What
- 15:23Speaker 1: do you see?
- 15:24Speaker 4: It was Wink. He was twenty eight when he won
- 15:26Speaker 4: the Heisman. Heisman, Yeah, he was old. I never knew
- 15:29Speaker 4: that that was.
- 15:29Speaker 3: The storyline, like.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Old, Like he's got gray pubes like whoa, And.
- 15:35Speaker 4: People are like on Mendoza for being like twenty.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Two or because the difference I think though, is Winky
- 15:44Speaker 1: went away to play college or excuse me, minor league
- 15:46Speaker 1: baseball for a long time, huh, and didn't make pro
- 15:48Speaker 1: and then came back and played at Florida State.
- 15:51Speaker 3: But Wink is the last person to do that, right,
- 15:52Speaker 3: we haven't had another twenty eight year old.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I don't think that's correct.
- 15:56Speaker 3: You guys had Arkansas last year.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I remember a better receiver that was like thirty yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Yeah, six seasons for the Blue Jays in the minor
- 16:03Speaker 4: league system.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Who did Winky Winky? Yeah? Danny Ainge was is a
- 16:07Speaker 1: crazy story. Yeah, Like maybe the greatest American athlete after
- 16:11Speaker 1: Jim Thorpe, you know who Danny Age is. No Thorpe
- 16:15Speaker 1: is just in general Danny Ainge basketball and now it's
- 16:18Speaker 1: like the GM of Utah the Jazz, but also was
- 16:22Speaker 1: the Boston.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Like one to watch championships in the eighties with the
- 16:25Speaker 4: Bird with Bird and Them.
- 16:26Speaker 3: The name sounds familiar, but now so.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Danny Ainge was a three sport All American in high school.
- 16:32Speaker 1: All American high school player of football, basketball, on baseball.
- 16:36Speaker 1: He went to BYU. He won the Wooden Awards College
- 16:39Speaker 1: Basketball's Best Player in nineteen eighty one, while simultaneously while
- 16:42Speaker 1: in college playing baseball for the Blue Jays.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Wow, stud that's amazing.
- 16:49Speaker 1: And later becoming a two time champion with the Boston Celtics.
- 16:52Speaker 1: He remains one of the few athletes to excel professionally
- 16:54Speaker 1: in both baseball and basketball. But again, he also was
- 16:58Speaker 1: a football All American in high school. Yeah, which is wild.
- 17:03Speaker 3: We have a kid like that in my son's school
- 17:04Speaker 3: where he's like just an amazing.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Football player because he played in the he played in
- 17:08Speaker 1: the majors. Yeah yeah, people don't know him for that
- 17:12Speaker 1: because he was such a good basketball player, won the
- 17:14Speaker 1: championship with the with the the Celtics yeah, but he
- 17:17Speaker 1: played parts of three season with the Blue Jays, hit
- 17:19Speaker 1: two home runs in nineteen seventy nine, was then drafted
- 17:22Speaker 1: by the Celtics in nineteen eighty one. He won two
- 17:25Speaker 1: NBA Championships eighty four and eighty six, played in six
- 17:27Speaker 1: NBA Finals with Celtics Kings and Sons, and.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Then now he's like or one of the best gyms.
- 17:33Speaker 4: He's bab I mean, the Celtics are who they are
- 17:35Speaker 4: now because he got it all started. Yeah, he's as
- 17:39Speaker 4: far as their players on the rock.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yet don't look at Utah now and be like they suck.
- 17:42Speaker 1: He sucks. He's going into rebuild it. I mean he
- 17:44Speaker 1: got rid of everybody. Yeah, it was like rebuilding through
- 17:46Speaker 1: draft picks.
- 17:47Speaker 3: What are we saying, who's the best athlete you guys
- 17:48Speaker 3: have seen in person? Like play even if it's pro Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 3: where you're like, he was just so cool to see
- 17:56Speaker 3: him in person, Like I saw Emmett Smith.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I've seen professional games, but I don't know
- 18:02Speaker 1: like overall athlete. I've seen like famous athletes, but I
- 18:05Speaker 1: don't know who I would say is like the best
- 18:07Speaker 1: overall athlete that I've just been to see because I've
- 18:08Speaker 1: seen that.
- 18:09Speaker 3: You never saw Jordan Wright.
- 18:11Speaker 1: No, I've been to one NBA game ever.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Really the one you went to with me?
- 18:16Speaker 1: No, I guess too. Then remember I took you in
- 18:18Speaker 1: the tunnel man. Yeah, I set courtside of Knicks game once.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Oh okay, well, no, wonder you forgot my game.
- 18:23Speaker 1: It was when like I had. It was when I
- 18:27Speaker 1: had like a little bit of fame, when I was
- 18:29Speaker 1: really popping and I was like working a lot on
- 18:31Speaker 1: television and they were like, you just say court side
- 18:34Speaker 1: and I was like really they put me on the
- 18:35Speaker 1: screen as celebrities. Yeah, it was crazy.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Did you see uh, what's his name?
- 18:38Speaker 4: Spike?
- 18:38Speaker 3: Spike Spike Lee?
- 18:40Speaker 1: No, I didn't. One of the players fell. Oh they
- 18:45Speaker 1: were playing Philadelphia Stott a myreplane. Hmm, it's like five
- 18:50Speaker 1: years ago.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Oh that's like he retired before that.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Five years ago.
- 18:56Speaker 4: They were playing Philip. Are we trying to figure out
- 18:57Speaker 4: who's playing on the Knicks?
- 18:58Speaker 1: No, Philly? Oh Joel Joe fell on me. What indeed
- 19:03Speaker 1: he fell into me, like not full like part of
- 19:06Speaker 1: his body that he was the longest guy.
- 19:08Speaker 4: I was gonna say, well, part of his body was
- 19:10Speaker 4: like one of us.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yeah, like he came over. Yeah, it's crazy. I was
- 19:12Speaker 1: on the and then I went and shot baskets after
- 19:14Speaker 1: the game on the.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Court on the court at Madison Square Garden, and I.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Haven't thought about this. In the they let us eat
- 19:22Speaker 1: in like the owner's room, and I went in there
- 19:25Speaker 1: and I ate next to Ellen Pompeo from Grey's Anatomy.
- 19:30Speaker 3: But Grays Anatomy, great show.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Is she Merit? Is she Meret Gray?
- 19:35Speaker 3: Yeah? She is?
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Merrit's Gray and Grays Anatomy. That's by myself. You
- 19:38Speaker 1: went by yourself in New York. That's crazy. And I
- 19:43Speaker 1: went in there and I and also there was a
- 19:45Speaker 1: rapper in there, okay, Tiger jay Z New York jay Z' No,
- 19:51Speaker 1: it's the Philly rapper Nick mill meek Mill was back there. Wow, dude,
- 19:56Speaker 1: that's good, love me m mill Man.
- 20:00Speaker 3: A lot of alliteration there, Okay, Okay, So now tell
- 20:02Speaker 3: Kevin about our experience.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I went to a Spurs game and we still had
- 20:07Speaker 1: a bunch of still a bunch of seven year olds
- 20:10Speaker 1: and a tunnel just touch the players.
- 20:13Speaker 3: My dad. My dad had like a suite like him
- 20:16Speaker 3: and my mom would go and it was like one
- 20:18Speaker 3: of those shared suites where like with you know, fifty
- 20:20Speaker 3: other people right, like they have food or whatever. And
- 20:23Speaker 3: my dad was like, hey, bring your friends. And it's
- 20:26Speaker 3: like we're in middle school. He's like, bring your friends.
- 20:29Speaker 3: And I have these like they offered me these special
- 20:32Speaker 3: passes to like go down to the tunnel with the players,
- 20:34Speaker 3: and I was like, awesome. So Inbode with Steve and
- 20:37Speaker 3: Bobby like, let's go to the Spurs game and we
- 20:39Speaker 3: go and I'm like, guys, they've got something special. My
- 20:42Speaker 3: dad he got us these passes. We go down and
- 20:45Speaker 3: sure enough, we go down to the tunnel. It's pretty awesome.
- 20:47Speaker 3: We're on the floor and we go to the tunnel
- 20:49Speaker 3: and they get there say just wait here against the wall.
- 20:52Speaker 3: So we just sit there against the wall. We're just
- 20:54Speaker 3: waiting and then they're like what are we gonna do? Like,
- 20:56Speaker 3: all right, nothing, just when the players come by and
- 20:58Speaker 3: give h high fives. And so we did that.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I sent all our nine year old buddies. Were you
- 21:03Speaker 1: the only adult because there were parents of the kids,
- 21:07Speaker 1: but they were they were standing him back that.
- 21:10Speaker 3: We did that.
- 21:11Speaker 1: We put our hands out on the yeah, yeah, And
- 21:12Speaker 1: I was like, sorry, guys, I thought that was gonna
- 21:14Speaker 1: the Pacers. Thing was cool though, when the five hundred
- 21:17Speaker 1: car been to the Pacers. How do you forget about that?
- 21:19Speaker 1: You drove the Indy car. Roburton get hurt that game?
- 21:21Speaker 3: Yeah he did split. Yeah, that was the split on
- 21:24Speaker 3: the floor.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Then he was out for a while.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Yeah, a month or two.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Am there a need more than that? For I thought
- 21:31Speaker 1: I've been to one game. You guys are just reminded
- 21:33Speaker 1: me of too.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Were just going to keep MD.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Have you been to a Grizzlies game?
- 21:35Speaker 1: No, no interest, They're good. Are you going next week?
- 21:40Speaker 3: Next week? It's my son's birthday.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Ja Is he gonna be upset of the trade?
- 21:43Speaker 1: Joe and Nah?
- 21:44Speaker 3: They're playing They're playing the Nuggets. I think they're happy.
- 21:48Speaker 3: All the kids are happy because of de Yeah, because
- 21:50Speaker 3: Denver is going to be there. Yes, I think my
- 21:54Speaker 3: son's asked for the last three years to go to
- 21:56Speaker 3: a Grizzles game for his birthday and like, it's awesome.
- 21:58Speaker 3: It's great for everyone, But we've never done.
- 22:01Speaker 1: And my.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Twelve year old and my eleven year old his friends
- 22:05Speaker 3: every time they go. They go stock the players at
- 22:07Speaker 3: the visiting hotel where the visiting team stays and I'm like,
- 22:11Speaker 3: we've never done that, so I'm thinking about doing that
- 22:12Speaker 3: this time.
- 22:14Speaker 1: When we went to the game with the Pacers, we
- 22:16Speaker 1: stayed in the hotel where the cause they were playing Boston. Yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 1: and we stayed in the visitor hotel and they were
- 22:21Speaker 1: just walking through.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 1: It wasn't like they went to a back Yeah, they're there.
- 22:25Speaker 3: They're there, so like if your kids are there, they
- 22:28Speaker 3: want pictures or something signed, like that's where to go.
- 22:30Speaker 1: And sometimes they say no, and they have people with
- 22:32Speaker 1: them to say no for them. But they walk through there.
- 22:33Speaker 3: That's pretty awesome.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Yeah, and they obviously stick out because they're seven feet tall.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.

- 24:11Speaker 1: See Lebron wearing that patch? Huh So Lebron's wearing a
- 24:15Speaker 1: patch of himself?
- 24:17Speaker 3: Oh oh, like a patch you sew on your clothes? Yes,
- 24:20Speaker 3: not like a nicotine.
- 24:20Speaker 1: It's actually kind of yeah, yeah, it's actually kind of
- 24:23Speaker 1: it's on the jersey. It's actually kind of cool. It's
- 24:25Speaker 1: weird that he's wearing a patch of himself, but the
- 24:27Speaker 1: reason he's wearing is kind of cool. So this is
- 24:30Speaker 1: twenty third NBA season, which is the longest of any player. Wow,
- 24:33Speaker 1: he's been playing in the NBA for twenty three years, amazing,
- 24:36Speaker 1: And so it's like a silhouette of the chalk toss.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Huh. That is kind of weird.
- 24:43Speaker 1: It's weird in that a player's wearing a patch of themselves,
- 24:45Speaker 1: but it's also cool because he's played for twenty three years.
- 24:48Speaker 1: And what I think is happening, because I just am
- 24:50Speaker 1: in the sports card world a little bit. I think
- 24:52Speaker 1: they're putting a new patch on every jersey and they're
- 24:56Speaker 1: putting that in to cards and those will be worth
- 24:58Speaker 1: thousands of dollars each and there's.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Ever like a Lebron award, you know, like Peyton, like
- 25:05Speaker 3: a Walter Payton Man of the Year award like that,
- 25:07Speaker 3: Like that'd be kind of cool with that patch.
- 25:10Speaker 1: And taking it. What do you mean just you know,
- 25:13Speaker 1: how like not the actual patch what they're using you mean,
- 25:16Speaker 1: just if they're building it to a trophy.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that'd be kind of cool.
- 25:19Speaker 1: What do you think about what's happening in golf right
- 25:21Speaker 1: now with what Live? Yeah, with Brooks Koepka, you know
- 25:25Speaker 1: all the conditions going back. I mean, you know about it.
- 25:27Speaker 3: And I saw the headline on that. I saw that
- 25:30Speaker 3: the Live signed Dustin Johnson.
- 25:32Speaker 1: So he resigned. So they this is a rough, rough
- 25:35Speaker 1: version of it. The PGA is said, basically, you have
- 25:38Speaker 1: until a certain day in February. If you guys want
- 25:40Speaker 1: to come back. We're leaving the door open, but you
- 25:42Speaker 1: do not. This is not forever and we're not doing
- 25:44Speaker 1: it every year. This is like a one time thing.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And they said to him, he doesn't get to have
- 25:49Speaker 1: percentage ownership in that equity program, which is going to
- 25:52Speaker 1: cost him like twenty million bucks a year. He's one
- 25:53Speaker 1: of the biggest guys. That he comes back, they're making
- 25:55Speaker 1: him make a five million dollar charity donation to a
- 25:58Speaker 1: charity they both agree on one. And he had to
- 26:03Speaker 1: give up a bunch to come back. And I think
- 26:07Speaker 1: it's only open to two other players that have won
- 26:09Speaker 1: a major that get to do this. I got to
- 26:11Speaker 1: think of who they are was.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Michelson the other one? No, okay, they did see him
- 26:15Speaker 3: in the headline too.
- 26:16Speaker 1: It's Kopka, it's I think it's Bryson. And it's Sam.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Burns. No, he's already on there. Sam.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Maybe it's not Sam, it's another guy. Like I don't
- 26:28Speaker 1: think John Ram's coming back. I don't know. I don't know.
- 26:30Speaker 4: But anyway, that Smith, Cam Smith good, yeah, Garon Smith
- 26:33Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, and John Rom Maybe John Ram was the
- 26:36Speaker 4: other one I was thinking of.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I don't know that it's opened.
- 26:38Speaker 3: So what what what's going on here? Like are they
- 26:41Speaker 3: are they missing the competition? Yes, because they're making gazillions
- 26:46Speaker 3: of dollars.
- 26:46Speaker 1: They gave up playing real golf to go play in shorts, yes,
- 26:51Speaker 1: with loud music everywhere on teams, and I think you
- 26:54Speaker 1: missed that. Yeah, And so they made a ton of money.
- 26:57Speaker 1: So but they're coming back, but they got to pay
- 26:58Speaker 1: a bunch of money and give up a bunch money
- 27:00Speaker 1: in the equity program. Interesting, and they're also something I
- 27:02Speaker 1: read was they can't take the place of a player
- 27:05Speaker 1: on if they come back. Let's say there are one
- 27:07Speaker 1: hundred and fifty people that are taken in. If that
- 27:09Speaker 1: person comes back, it's one fifty one because they're not
- 27:11Speaker 1: gonna let them take the place to somebody else who's.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Wow wow, even though they're like rookies are not very good.
- 27:17Speaker 3: M hm, that's crazy.
- 27:19Speaker 1: I thought, you're the golf guy thought maybe I think.
- 27:21Speaker 3: I think. I mean I from the very beginning of
- 27:26Speaker 3: the five them just leaving and then the PGA, you know,
- 27:30Speaker 3: just banning them because they chose live.
- 27:32Speaker 1: All that stuff was very weird to me. You know,
- 27:35Speaker 1: I didn't mind that. I just I understood why they left.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Hundreds of millions of dollars lots of lots of money.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I understood why the PGA was like, uh no, we're good.
- 27:43Speaker 1: If you go, you're gonna be gone. I got all
- 27:47Speaker 1: of it.
- 27:47Speaker 3: But I do I did notice last year and the
- 27:50Speaker 3: PGA just seen random winners all the time, like people
- 27:53Speaker 3: I'd never seen before win tournaments golfs.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Kind of like that though, and it was weird, nough.
- 27:58Speaker 3: But when like all those when rom was there, and like.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Because I don't I bet on it, I never went
- 28:02Speaker 1: and I only pay people. I heard of five people anytime.
- 28:06Speaker 1: I bet it's only somebody random I never heard of.
- 28:09Speaker 1: But I get it. I don't know.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I would love to have them back because I do
- 28:13Speaker 3: miss watching them. I think they added a lot to
- 28:15Speaker 3: the to the sport and PGA.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I've not touched a golf club in months.
- 28:19Speaker 3: I was thinking the same thing too. I played over
- 28:20Speaker 3: the Christmas break with my family in Texas, warmer in Texas,
- 28:24Speaker 3: and dude, I just missed it. I loved it. We played.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:27Speaker 3: I think we ended up playing like, you know, twenty
- 28:30Speaker 3: six holes just because we didn't want to leave nice. Yeah,
- 28:32Speaker 3: it was fun. We want to play again. It's too
- 28:35Speaker 3: cold right now, too.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Cold, and what's and my foot hurts. I gave away
- 28:39Speaker 1: my golf simulator I know, to a golf school. I know, okay,
- 28:44Speaker 1: gave him the whole I was like, who'd you give
- 28:45Speaker 1: it to? Gave him the whole build, gave him the
- 28:48Speaker 1: track Man machine, the whole thing. That's really sweet of
- 28:51Speaker 1: you just donated it. But what am I doing? I'm
- 28:54Speaker 1: not really hitting balls in the house anymore.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Did you use end up using that a lot? Did
- 28:58Speaker 3: you get I did it because.
- 28:59Speaker 1: First I did it, but then it's like anything else,
- 29:02Speaker 1: it's just down there. It's treadmill space, a little more
- 29:05Speaker 1: than a treadmill. And I have people come over and
- 29:07Speaker 1: we play. But then when I would stop playing golf
- 29:10Speaker 1: for a while before it got too busy, obviously I
- 29:11Speaker 1: wasn't using the simulator if I wasn't playing golf. Yeah,
- 29:15Speaker 1: but simulator is also now you can get some first
- 29:17Speaker 1: not that kind, but you can get it. You can
- 29:19Speaker 1: make a pretty cheap, good decent home version. Just hit balls.
- 29:23Speaker 3: What is your your temperature cap like to go play golf? Like,
- 29:27Speaker 3: how what's the coldest?
- 29:29Speaker 1: I won't do forties at all. I don't know if
- 29:31Speaker 1: it's forty nine.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Forty nine, you're not doing it.
- 29:33Speaker 4: What cheers Eddie.
- 29:35Speaker 3: I can do fifty, I can do fifty. Yeah, I
- 29:38Speaker 3: think fifty is my cap.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Fifty is a bit uncomfortable, but forty nine I won't do.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a little too cold, and no one too well.
- 29:47Speaker 3: I didn't even take.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Fifty feels like thirty five.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Dude, I've gone out where I'm like, oh, I'll brave
- 29:54Speaker 3: it out. I'll brave it out me too. And then
- 29:56Speaker 3: it's just like this isn't fun.
- 29:57Speaker 1: You're just a miser and your hand's hurt and you
- 30:00Speaker 1: hit the ball. It sucks Southeby's is selling the largest
- 30:03Speaker 1: ever American whiskey collection, so they're auxing it off.
- 30:08Speaker 3: I'm not a whiskey guy.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Only sixty bottles of this Rip van Winkle? Oh yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 1: I thought it was Well, there's a pappy, but this
- 30:15Speaker 1: is a nineteen eighty two old ripvand Winkle. That's what
- 30:18Speaker 1: it says. I know nothing about it, but I'm reading
- 30:19Speaker 1: that verbatim. Only sixty bottles were ever produced, and estimates
- 30:23Speaker 1: for that bottle alone range one hundred thousand dollars for
- 30:25Speaker 1: the bottle. The whole collection is supposed to get around too,
- 30:28Speaker 1: maybe even two million dollars. But if you have that,
- 30:33Speaker 1: do you even take a lick of it? Or do
- 30:36Speaker 1: you just leave it? And is it all a collector
- 30:38Speaker 1: and you just resell it again because it's food?
- 30:42Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, but those things last forever of their sealed.
- 30:45Speaker 3: It's like, it's not like I hear you.
- 30:47Speaker 1: But if you buy it, do you take a drink of?
- 30:49Speaker 1: Is it ever even just like taking a drink of?
- 30:51Speaker 1: Or do you unseal it? You said it's a collection, Well,
- 30:55Speaker 1: but it's collection as in people just put them together. Yeah,
- 30:59Speaker 1: it's not a seal old collection.
- 31:02Speaker 4: See if I'm gonna buy something like that and if
- 31:04Speaker 4: I enjoy whiskey like as much as I do, I
- 31:07Speaker 4: have to taste it, like I just have to.
- 31:09Speaker 1: You would taste a two million dollar collection of whiskey, yeah.
- 31:13Speaker 4: I would just to say, I have a two million
- 31:15Speaker 4: dollars and it tastes damn good.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I feel like I wouldn't enjoy it as much as
- 31:20Speaker 1: I was spending.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Because yeah, you're just like, oh, it's too million.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Like, even if it's good, you're going, oh, I just
- 31:25Speaker 1: lost some money there, dude.
- 31:26Speaker 3: That's like when I go to a fancy restaurant, I
- 31:28Speaker 3: don't feel comfortable eating it. I'm just like, if you're paying,
- 31:31Speaker 3: I'm wasting so much money on this.
- 31:33Speaker 1: If you're paying, what if what if let's say I
- 31:35Speaker 1: don't know i'm paying. I love it, Dudeah, yeah.
- 31:36Speaker 3: That's the best meal I ever had. And then I
- 31:38Speaker 3: go tell everyone guys, I had the best meal ever.
- 31:40Speaker 3: So I highly recommend this restaurant.
- 31:42Speaker 1: So if you're paying for it, though you don't, oh,
- 31:44Speaker 1: it doesn't taste as good to you.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Oh Like when we went to Disney one time, we
- 31:48Speaker 3: ate with a beast, you know, from Beautying the Beast,
- 31:51Speaker 3: and that's that costs a lot. Well, that's what they
- 31:53Speaker 3: called it eating. He went to the table, the beast, Yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 3: she went from table to table. He didn't really sit
- 31:58Speaker 3: with us, but like it was, it was like eighty
- 32:01Speaker 3: dollars a plate. And they didn't tell us this until
- 32:03Speaker 3: we sat down. And it's like when all the kids
- 32:05Speaker 3: are excited.
- 32:06Speaker 1: What did they not tell you the price? Or the
- 32:08Speaker 1: beast was moving around the room.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Both They called it dinner with a beast. I thought
- 32:12Speaker 3: the dude was gonna sit with us, passes and the
- 32:13Speaker 3: mashed potatoes and everything.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Tell fun stories of him and beauty something. But there
- 32:19Speaker 1: must have been like five hundred people in there is
- 32:21Speaker 1: a huge ballroom. It's like you know Bell's ballroom. And
- 32:24Speaker 1: then they just stopped for a second and get a
- 32:26Speaker 1: picture exactly move on.
- 32:28Speaker 3: They like message, they try to steal your fork with
- 32:30Speaker 3: the kids and all that.
- 32:31Speaker 4: Did your kids like it?
- 32:32Speaker 5: Though?
- 32:33Speaker 4: I don't think were They kind of like what the heck?
- 32:34Speaker 4: Where's it going?
- 32:35Speaker 3: If you asked them, like, hey, what was you favorite
- 32:37Speaker 3: thing about Disney? That would not have come up.
- 32:39Speaker 1: How many people total at the dinner table? This was
- 32:41Speaker 1: the whole family, six of us, so six times eight,
- 32:44Speaker 1: it's forty eight. So for the eighty bucks a plate
- 32:47Speaker 1: that's just bear. That's four hundred and eighty bucks. But
- 32:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna imagine it's like seven hundred dollars when it's
- 32:50Speaker 1: all done. Is that true? It was so mess I'd
- 32:53Speaker 1: image about seve hundred bucks.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I was not happy. It ruined the rest of my days.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Just five and then taxes and then tip and your
- 32:59Speaker 1: probably get drinks and.
- 33:01Speaker 3: No, it was set. Whatever you're getting included. It was
- 33:03Speaker 3: included eighty dollars per chair and then tip.
- 33:07Speaker 1: In tag so okay six six six and our fifty bucks.
- 33:10Speaker 3: It's brutal, dude, I did not enjoy that.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Did you have the bracelet on where you're just spending stuff? Yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 1: you don't really know. I mean that's the that's the
- 33:18Speaker 1: move for them, because if you're spending on a bracelet,
- 33:20Speaker 1: you're not actually handing money. You're handing a credit card.
- 33:22Speaker 1: So it just feels a bit as much as you know,
- 33:24Speaker 1: you're not keeping as much track of it because she's
- 33:26Speaker 1: on a bracelet.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you just scan, Kevin, you just go paid for it.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Really that's dangerous. Yeah, and then you check when the
- 33:31Speaker 4: day's over, when the week's over, Yeah, and you're like
- 33:33Speaker 4: What the heck did I just do that?
- 33:35Speaker 1: Beat cost me six hundred and fifty dollars.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I hate that beast.
- 33:39Speaker 1: But you knew going in, right, You just didn't how
- 33:41Speaker 1: much it was gonna cost. You just didn't know. The
- 33:43Speaker 1: beast wasn't hanging with you.
- 33:44Speaker 3: I think my wife had an idea of how much
- 33:46Speaker 3: it was gonna be, yeah, because she did all the planning.
- 33:50Speaker 3: And the thing was like, we were gonna just do
- 33:51Speaker 3: one nice dinner a day. Like the rest we you know,
- 33:54Speaker 3: amazon food and made our sandwiches or whatever, but.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Like you amazoned food.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Yeah. So like when you get to which is this
- 34:00Speaker 3: is a great hacket you're traveling with a family, you
- 34:03Speaker 3: can Amazon groceries to your hotel room.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Oh groceries, got it.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Yeah. So like we had ham and cheese sandwiches that
- 34:09Speaker 3: we'd pack with chips or whatever, and that's how we
- 34:11Speaker 3: got through the whole park. But at night we wanted
- 34:13Speaker 3: to do like one nice sit down dinner and that
- 34:15Speaker 3: was our one of the day. Still pisses me off.
- 34:20Speaker 1: How long ago is that?
- 34:23Speaker 3: So it was probably three years ago.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Man, there's something about ham and cheese sandwich and chips. Though.
- 34:31Speaker 1: When you're yeah, a lot Disney with mustard.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Dude. My memories. My memories are like Dorito's at the beach,
- 34:40Speaker 3: you know where, Like you get a little bit of
- 34:42Speaker 3: saltwater on the dorito and yeah, you know, like makes
- 34:46Speaker 3: it a little bit.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Mushy, start tuning on sand You're like, I don't even care.
- 34:49Speaker 3: I love that memory.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Mine of like blowney sandwiches, ham sandwiches with Doritos and
- 34:56Speaker 1: mountain dew is either working maintenance at a golf course
- 34:58Speaker 1: of roof and houses, and it was always I was
- 35:01Speaker 1: so tired and so hot. I just look forward to
- 35:03Speaker 1: that sandwich so much because it meant I was either
- 35:05Speaker 1: off the roof or not on the golf course weeding.
- 35:08Speaker 1: And so my association with it is break time air condition.
- 35:13Speaker 1: This is awesome.
- 35:14Speaker 4: It's funny that it brings you there.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Still, A really great moment of the day was going
- 35:19Speaker 1: into the break room or into the truck, because if
- 35:22Speaker 1: I was rooving houses, we didn't have a breakroom. We
- 35:24Speaker 1: were at the house, going into the truck with the
- 35:25Speaker 1: air condition on, eating that sandwich and the mustard.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Would all you guys eat together.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Just depends that that roof in the house is not
- 35:31Speaker 1: so much. I was the only one that spoke English,
- 35:33Speaker 1: and I was a lot younger, and you're hanging out
- 35:36Speaker 1: with Mexican than everybody else. Yeah, Because we would go
- 35:38Speaker 1: to home depot and I'd get in the back.
- 35:40Speaker 5: I was, I was.
- 35:43Speaker 1: With them, So I got in the back of the truck. Yes,
- 35:46Speaker 1: and I was treated no different. And I got in
- 35:48Speaker 1: the back of the truck and they jumped in the
- 35:50Speaker 1: back of the truck and we did whatever. But I
- 35:54Speaker 1: at least got to get back in the truck when
- 35:57Speaker 1: eating because my uncle was one of the people that
- 36:02Speaker 1: would work on the site. So I was just sitting
- 36:03Speaker 1: in the truck and eat.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Your uncle, your boss.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but I was doing tear off, so I mean
- 36:08Speaker 1: just clean up. I'd go up tear off with the shovel,
- 36:11Speaker 1: throw down it so that looks like hard, hard work.
- 36:14Speaker 1: It sucked. And then at the doing golf course maintenance,
- 36:18Speaker 1: my boss was superintendent. I never saw him. I just
- 36:21Speaker 1: you know, I almost got It's the only job I
- 36:23Speaker 1: really almost got fired at in my whole life for
- 36:26Speaker 1: what we were.
- 36:28Speaker 3: This is funny.
- 36:28Speaker 1: We were drag racing green mowers and it really wasn't
- 36:33Speaker 1: my thing. It was it wasn't your idea It wasn't
- 36:35Speaker 1: my idea, but they they knew how to take the
- 36:38Speaker 1: governor's off the golf carts. And there was a strip
- 36:40Speaker 1: of road because we would go out I'm talking the
- 36:43Speaker 1: sun wasn't up yet, but is about to come up.
- 36:46Speaker 1: And we had to be on the first hole, and
- 36:48Speaker 1: there were three of us and we had six holes each.
- 36:50Speaker 1: And the mo greens was with such precision, you know,
- 36:53Speaker 1: we see the lines on them. And it took a
- 36:55Speaker 1: long time to even be allowed to mow greens, and
- 36:58Speaker 1: so the first two hours of every day was mowing greens.
- 37:02Speaker 1: And if you mowed even a little long onto the French,
- 37:04Speaker 1: it would cut the fringe way down. I mean, it
- 37:05Speaker 1: had to be so specific. So for the sun comes up,
- 37:08Speaker 1: we're out there with the green moors, we're on the green,
- 37:10Speaker 1: we're ready to go. You finish, and you meet the guys.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Everybody kind of comes off around the same time on
- 37:15Speaker 1: this one back road behind the golf course that took
- 37:17Speaker 1: us to where the superintendent's office was, like the facility,
- 37:21Speaker 1: and one of the guys like, you know race, I
- 37:24Speaker 1: really didn't, but also why not, And so we all
- 37:30Speaker 1: lined them up and they went through, picked up the
- 37:32Speaker 1: seat took the governor's off of them.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Do you know what a governor is?
- 37:34Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 37:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and we started. It's a straight stretch too, there
- 37:38Speaker 1: was nothing.
- 37:38Speaker 3: That's a drag racing dude, that's why they wanted to
- 37:40Speaker 3: do it.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 37:41Speaker 4: How many were there?
- 37:42Speaker 1: Three? There's all three of us. We happened to have
- 37:44Speaker 1: met at the same time.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Do you have a girl with the We did not?
- 37:47Speaker 4: No, no, no, you start ready, take your shirt off
- 37:50Speaker 4: here and.
- 37:51Speaker 1: I remember the clear as day. We hit the gas
- 37:55Speaker 1: and we're going, I don't know, sixty seventy lawnmower and
- 37:59Speaker 1: the Super ten it comes around, not looking for us.
- 38:02Speaker 1: It's just the back road you went to get to
- 38:03Speaker 1: different parts of the golf course and he sees his
- 38:05Speaker 1: drag racing and we all got screamed at. One of
- 38:07Speaker 1: the guys got fired. No way, strike three for him. Yes,
- 38:11Speaker 1: he was already trouble. I think it was probably him
- 38:13Speaker 1: who got us to do it. Anyway, but I got
- 38:16Speaker 1: I was a good worker and I showed up on time,
- 38:19Speaker 1: took pride in my work, so it's probably why I
- 38:20Speaker 1: wasn't fired. But it's stay closest I've ever been to
- 38:22Speaker 1: being fired. Have you gone back to play that course
- 38:25Speaker 1: one time. We bought a house in the Hot Springs
- 38:28Speaker 1: village seven years ago or so. We sold it since then.
- 38:34Speaker 1: But when you go to the village, it's part of
- 38:36Speaker 1: the POA and so you have access to all the courses.
- 38:40Speaker 1: They have like eight really amazing golf courses there and
- 38:43Speaker 1: so yeah, I told Caitlin, I was like, I want
- 38:46Speaker 1: to go play Balboa Golf Course cause I still work
- 38:47Speaker 1: on it.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Valva Golf Course.
- 38:49Speaker 1: It was amazing when I worked on it, and then
- 38:51Speaker 1: you get there. Now I'm an adult and I've played
- 38:53Speaker 1: nice courses. And also it's times are different, a little different,
- 38:57Speaker 1: still nice, but I was like, man, this.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Think these mowers, these guys are terrible.
- 39:02Speaker 1: There's a treasure. There's a treasure.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Then you're checking the lines around the green.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Takes the governor off like a kid.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Watch this.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Yeah, man, that's cool. I do want to go back
- 39:13Speaker 3: to visit my course when I when I was in
- 39:15Speaker 3: high school, like the first course I would play on.
- 39:18Speaker 4: You had a course that would always go to.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it was the municipal course, you know, and after
- 39:21Speaker 3: school we'd go and play like nine holes, me and
- 39:24Speaker 3: my buddies and like I wonder. I think about it
- 39:26Speaker 3: a lot, just kind of like I wonder what that
- 39:28Speaker 3: course is like now, just to go back because I
- 39:30Speaker 3: haven't played that since I was eighteen years old.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Anytime we go back to anything, though, it seems so
- 39:33Speaker 1: small and not as majestic. Yeah, when your kids everything's it's.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Almost better to hold that nostalgia of it'd be like, yeah,
- 39:39Speaker 4: it was great, you know, instead of going and it's
- 39:41Speaker 4: like watching the old movie, like, oh, this movie kind
- 39:43Speaker 4: of sucks now.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I think I only got to play that course one time, ever,
- 39:47Speaker 1: because they didn't let us play the course. We were
- 39:49Speaker 1: the scrubs ever. Yeah, no, we didn't get to play. Wow. Yeah,
- 39:53Speaker 1: And they would tell you that, like you're not allowed
- 39:55Speaker 1: to play this course. If we were maintenance crew, we
- 39:57Speaker 1: didn't get to play on the course. If you were
- 39:58Speaker 1: a cart kid, which meant you knew somebody or somebody
- 40:02Speaker 1: was a member, or you got to play the course.
- 40:05Speaker 1: But we were not. There was a class system there.
- 40:07Speaker 1: We were not allowed to play the course. One time,
- 40:09Speaker 1: I got to play the course, but also I wasn't
- 40:10Speaker 1: a very good golfer, so and I didn't golf that much,
- 40:13Speaker 1: so it really didn't matter that much. But it wasn't
- 40:15Speaker 1: like I played it and it was like I wanna
- 40:17Speaker 1: go play it again. I just worked it and then
- 40:19Speaker 1: I got on it and I was like it, God sucks.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Show you guys.
- 40:24Speaker 1: That sucks. Let's go. We got four games. You're gonna
- 40:29Speaker 1: build a parlay.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Go for it, man, why don't you build? I'm not gamming.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Why don't you build? I'm not gambling matter, You're not okay?
- 40:37Speaker 4: Now I didn't do with your money?
- 40:38Speaker 1: It is.
- 40:38Speaker 3: I can't. I can't even get on to look at
- 40:40Speaker 3: the odds, dude, So what's it need to be? It's
- 40:42Speaker 3: too tempting?
- 40:43Speaker 4: Plus three seventy five?
- 40:45Speaker 5: Yep?
- 40:46Speaker 1: Can you can you pop these in a draft? KINGSP
- 40:51Speaker 1: Because I don't know. I just I suck at the NFL.
- 40:56Speaker 3: It's tough, dude. The whole year, the whole year has
- 40:59Speaker 3: been like I don't know.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Oh, I've no. This is the most money I've ever lost.
- 41:02Speaker 3: It's no clue anymore.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Twenty twenty five worst year for me.
- 41:06Speaker 3: I saw a clip of Tony Romo trying to like,
- 41:08Speaker 3: you know, like, who do you think is gonna win it?
- 41:10Speaker 3: And he was all over the place and everyone's like
- 41:12Speaker 3: he just said nothing. That's kind of how you do it, dude.
- 41:15Speaker 3: There's you really can't say anything.
- 41:17Speaker 1: So Texan's at Patriots. If I just take the Patriots
- 41:20Speaker 1: money line, Hm, Patriots are minus three. I'm gonna take
- 41:23Speaker 1: the Patriots money line. Bills at Broncos. Broncos are one
- 41:27Speaker 1: and a half point favorite. I'm taking the Bills money line. Now,
- 41:31Speaker 1: screw it. I want the Bills in the points right
- 41:33Speaker 1: one one and a half.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Yeh a half.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I'm just Josh Allen in it, Josh Allen all yeah.
- 41:41Speaker 1: And then Ram's money line and they're minus three and
- 41:45Speaker 1: a half. Does that put me at three seventy five?
- 41:47Speaker 4: Three thirty six?
- 41:49Speaker 3: Oh no, you gotta do the fourth game.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I don't want to do the fourth game.
- 41:54Speaker 3: You can stay withst in that fourth game.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Well, because I have a lot on the forty nine
- 41:58Speaker 1: ers and there are seven point I don't want to it.
- 42:01Speaker 3: So you want to do an over under.
- 42:02Speaker 4: What if you do like matt touchdowns?
- 42:04Speaker 1: So Matthew Stafford over two hundred and it's going to
- 42:10Speaker 1: be cold, but Matthew Stafford over like two thirty passing.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Oh, that'll definitely tip it over.
- 42:18Speaker 1: But I can't imagine two thirty that's.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Kind of even minus eighty two for two thirty.
- 42:22Speaker 1: I bet that hits it though.
- 42:23Speaker 3: I bet it does.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Right at it.
- 42:26Speaker 4: No, that's two ninety three.
- 42:28Speaker 1: It makes it worse.
- 42:29Speaker 3: It went.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Now, Yeah, you can't make it.
- 42:31Speaker 3: You must have substituted one.
- 42:33Speaker 1: It won't make you.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Patriot's money line, Bill's plus one and a half Stafford
- 42:37Speaker 4: two thirty plus.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Yeah, you took off one, took Patriots.
- 42:41Speaker 4: What did I take off the Patriots?
- 42:42Speaker 1: Patriots my line?
- 42:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that was on there, Okay, Patriots Bill's money line
- 42:46Speaker 3: and Rams money line Ram point point.
- 42:50Speaker 1: There's no way it made it worse by adding a
- 42:51Speaker 1: bed because the line anything, it keeps it even they
- 42:55Speaker 1: had it that was two seventy.
- 42:57Speaker 3: No, it always helps it a little bit, right, But
- 42:58Speaker 3: I'm saying it can be.
- 43:00Speaker 4: I'm sorry I took the Rams money line off. No, no, no, okay,
- 43:05Speaker 4: that's what you're saying, gotcha, okay, okay, so plus two okay,
- 43:09Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to jump on this.
- 43:11Speaker 1: You're not you can't.
- 43:12Speaker 4: You said Rams money line, right?
- 43:14Speaker 3: Uh huh, All this talk is getting be excited.
- 43:21Speaker 1: It's got to be plus three seventy five. It has to.
- 43:24Speaker 3: It's it's gonna be close, but it's got to get
- 43:26Speaker 3: over that number. Of all my experience of doing parlays.
- 43:31Speaker 1: You're the expert. You're the forensic parlay expert, bringing the
- 43:35Speaker 1: forensics guy.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, plus four fifty four.
- 43:38Speaker 1: There we go. Wow, that's significant. Okay, send that one in.
- 43:42Speaker 4: Let's go get it.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Oh, pretty good on that one.
- 43:45Speaker 4: I'm gonna bet that right now.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Yeah, go ahead.
- 43:48Speaker 1: I was just gonna finish it up here. You can
- 43:50Speaker 1: cool if I finish it out.

- 44:49Speaker 3: Y'all, I don't think the Bears are gonna come in
- 44:52Speaker 3: the fourth quarter and win that game.
- 44:55Speaker 1: I think the Rams are just too good. It's not
- 44:59Speaker 1: even about the Bears, the Rams offense in general. Yeah,
- 45:03Speaker 1: Rams are just really good. Yeah, it'd be kind of
- 45:07Speaker 1: fun to see the Bears win.
- 45:08Speaker 3: That's what I'm hoping. I'm not an anti Bear guy. Yeah,
- 45:11Speaker 3: it's really cool when your team's not in it. Sorry, Kevin,
- 45:14Speaker 3: when your team's.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Not in We'll be sorry.
- 45:15Speaker 1: I'm in it.
- 45:16Speaker 3: It's kind of fun to watch it and just be like,
- 45:18Speaker 3: that'd be awesome if the Bears won.
- 45:21Speaker 1: So in our little league, we're down five thousand bucks.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we are like fifty one hundred. I think
- 45:26Speaker 1: something like that last night take it was five even,
- 45:28Speaker 1: but yeah, that's probably we would have lost that last game.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that was so we should be at fifty
- 45:33Speaker 1: one hundred. If we can win this one, We're not
- 45:37Speaker 1: going to gain much.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Are we just doing damage control? Yes?
- 45:40Speaker 1: Yes, until the last two weeks. That's when we can
- 45:43Speaker 1: actually make a little money back.
- 45:44Speaker 3: So we need them to win the whole thing. We
- 45:47Speaker 3: need the Patriots.
- 45:48Speaker 1: We need the Patriots. We need the Patriots to win
- 45:51Speaker 1: this week for sure, because this is the last big week.
- 45:54Speaker 1: We can lose a bunch of money. But let's say
- 45:56Speaker 1: the Patriots win this game and we lose next week,
- 45:58Speaker 1: We're just gonna lose a couple hundred bucks and maybe
- 46:00Speaker 1: one hundred bucks.
- 46:00Speaker 4: Because it's only four teams remaining, so our chances.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Are a lot better.
- 46:03Speaker 3: What are your honest thoughts, Kevin.
- 46:06Speaker 4: Honest is I'm glad we're playing the Texans and not
- 46:09Speaker 4: the Bills because they don't have Josh Allen. I am
- 46:12Speaker 4: definitely scared of that defense and d line because I
- 46:14Speaker 4: saw what the Chargers did against us a little bit.
- 46:16Speaker 1: But every level of their defense looks good.
- 46:21Speaker 3: But C J.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Stroud offense offense did not like.
- 46:26Speaker 4: Yeah, the defense scares the crap out of me, But
- 46:28Speaker 4: I like our offense excellent a lot. At the same time,
- 46:31Speaker 4: So and Josh McDaniels and Drake me I think they'll
- 46:33Speaker 4: do a lot better in the first half of this game.
- 46:36Speaker 1: So do you have confidence Patriots.
- 46:39Speaker 4: I do.
- 46:40Speaker 1: I like our match, and it's in New England, and
- 46:42Speaker 1: I like it that it's in New England, which means
- 46:45Speaker 1: it's cold. So I like it that the Texans are
- 46:47Speaker 1: a warm weather team. Even play inside, they still like
- 46:49Speaker 1: warm weather. Yeah, for sure, So I think that helps.
- 46:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I like our chances.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Yeah, Bills at Broncos. That is a Saturday game. The
- 47:00Speaker 1: Broncos have a really great defense as well. Yes, and
- 47:04Speaker 1: they have a little better offense than the Texans do. Yeah,
- 47:08Speaker 1: but the Bills have Josh Allen exactly, and I just
- 47:11Speaker 1: right now, I'm just riding Josh Allen.
- 47:13Speaker 3: I think this is the Bill's year. They've had so
- 47:16Speaker 3: many chances and the Chiefs have stopped them, and like
- 47:21Speaker 3: this is their year to do it.
- 47:23Speaker 4: Do you think that this is I mean, probably the
- 47:26Speaker 4: quote unquote worst team that he's had in a few
- 47:28Speaker 4: years though, right Allen, I'm saying.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Yeah, he doesn't have the weapons that he's had in
- 47:32Speaker 3: the past. Cooks or defense, Brandon Cooks.
- 47:37Speaker 4: I know, they're tight ends, and the running back or
- 47:39Speaker 4: the best players outside.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Of Josh Allen, we do at least have two tight
- 47:42Speaker 1: ends are good?
- 47:42Speaker 4: Yeah, and Cookies really good?
- 47:44Speaker 3: Is that Knox and kin Kid.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Forty Nineers at Seahawks. Seahawks are the big favorite. That's
- 47:49Speaker 1: the biggest line of the week. Seahawks minus seven. They
- 47:53Speaker 1: beat the fortyniners up pretty good. Week eighteen? Is that eighteen? Yeah? Yeah?
- 47:58Speaker 1: And I I bet a thousand bucks on the forty
- 48:01Speaker 1: nine Ers way before the playoffs to win the Super Bowl.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Right now, I'm not getting a very good cash out
- 48:06Speaker 1: because they're playing the Seahawks and the odds are just
- 48:09Speaker 1: so Seahawks heavy. And if they can win this though,
- 48:12Speaker 1: my cash out I think will be tremendous. It has
- 48:14Speaker 1: to be.
- 48:15Speaker 3: And will you consider cashing it?
- 48:16Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll consider it. Yeah I won't, but I'll consider it.
- 48:19Speaker 3: You'll think about it.
- 48:20Speaker 4: Yeah, you'll look at it, you'll check it.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll go. Should I cash out?
- 48:28Speaker 3: Every time?
- 48:29Speaker 1: I've never hit a big future, never not a big one.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I've hit a couple of future one hundred bucks here,
- 48:35Speaker 1: a hundred bucks there to win like five six hundred bucks.
- 48:37Speaker 1: But I've never hit one for over because I've got
- 48:41Speaker 1: two NFL futures, but I've never hit one for like
- 48:43Speaker 1: over five thousand dollars. You neither, But I haven't bet
- 48:46Speaker 1: that kind. I'm saying, I bet five hundred bucks and
- 48:49Speaker 1: make that kind of money. But I have I'll tell
- 48:51Speaker 1: you guys what I have here, because I do have
- 48:53Speaker 1: another future that I bet, but it just wasn't as
- 48:55Speaker 1: much a while ago.
- 48:57Speaker 4: See if I can remember, I have a twenty on
- 49:01Speaker 4: the rams to come out of the NFC that I
- 49:02Speaker 4: put in August. Oh yeah, two hundred dollars payoff.
- 49:05Speaker 3: So yeah, I have one on the bills winning the
- 49:06Speaker 3: whole thing.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I have one on the bills, one of the whole
- 49:08Speaker 1: thing that I bet before the playoffs, and I was
- 49:11Speaker 1: going to tell you what the odds were.
- 49:13Speaker 3: That's when I had a little bit of scratching my account.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Nice st. So I bet seven hundred and fifty dollars
- 49:22Speaker 1: on the bills December twenty second to win the Super Bowl.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Seven hundred fifty bucks will pay eight two hundred and
- 49:31Speaker 1: fifty bulls.
- 49:32Speaker 3: Wow, dude, that'd be awesome.
- 49:35Speaker 1: And I have the forty nine ers at one thousand bucks,
- 49:37Speaker 1: I'll pay twenty three thousand dollars. That's so much money
- 49:40Speaker 1: the quest, Oh man, that would be crazy.
- 49:43Speaker 3: I want that for you, but I don't want the
- 49:44Speaker 3: forty nine ers to win Wow, that's pretty but I
- 49:48Speaker 3: want it for you though, if it could be Bills
- 49:50Speaker 3: and Niners. Oh oh, yeah, you're good.
- 49:55Speaker 1: I don't even know what.
- 49:56Speaker 4: And you're going to the super Bowl.
- 49:57Speaker 1: I don't know by what would you do there?
- 50:02Speaker 3: You just write it out because.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Probably you could cash them both out and catch that
- 50:07Speaker 1: middle would that go? Nah? Yeah? Because you depending on
- 50:12Speaker 1: the odds too, you're looking at making twelve thousand bucks
- 50:14Speaker 1: from the forty nine ers been cashing out and for
- 50:17Speaker 1: forty five hundred, so fifteen sixteen thousand dollars is just
- 50:20Speaker 1: about half of what the whole thing would be anyway.
- 50:22Speaker 4: And then you can bet on the super Bowl with
- 50:23Speaker 4: some of that money. M h, make that last eight grand.
- 50:27Speaker 3: But you've already bet on the super Bowl. Like you
- 50:29Speaker 3: have two bets on the super Bowl, right, yeah, that's
- 50:32Speaker 3: one of them is going to win.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but there's a difference. Let's say you can take
- 50:35Speaker 1: in sixteen thousand and you bet two thousand. Dude, Yeah,
- 50:38Speaker 1: that's still winning fourteen thousand. Here, if I win the
- 50:40Speaker 1: eight thousand, that's six thousand dollars less. And then you
- 50:42Speaker 1: bet two thousand and win another ten grand. For you know,
- 50:45Speaker 1: you're at thirty grand, then do you take the thirty
- 50:47Speaker 1: that well?
- 50:48Speaker 3: Then and then I would Dude, I was with you
- 50:51Speaker 3: last Super Bowl. You were not a delight to be around.
- 50:56Speaker 3: I lose a lot.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't complain about it after.
- 50:58Speaker 3: You did it. You're just quiet. No, just like I know,
- 51:00Speaker 3: I know what the quiet means.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, that sucks. Well, you were like
- 51:03Speaker 1: complaining about it. It was annoying about what losing money.
- 51:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I was stupid.
- 51:08Speaker 1: It was like, dude, you got you free Super bol tickets.
- 51:10Speaker 4: Stupid.
- 51:10Speaker 1: Man.
- 51:11Speaker 3: You were like sign and then you're just like I'm
- 51:12Speaker 3: gonna go look for merch and I had to go by.
- 51:15Speaker 3: We went walking around. Just enjoy that. Let's enjoy the
- 51:20Speaker 3: Super Bowl this year.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Guys, you were the worst. I was not the worst,
- 51:24Speaker 1: complaining way after the game, like oh my god, I
- 51:26Speaker 1: can't believe all lost, and I'm just like, you know what,
- 51:28Speaker 1: it's fine, win a super Bowl. That's cool.
- 51:29Speaker 3: You didn't hear me with a minor.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Wait, the game wasn't over by that.
- 51:34Speaker 3: I still thought that was a chance.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Right now, the Seahawks are the favorite to win the
- 51:38Speaker 1: Super Bowl plus two seventy The Rams second at plus
- 51:42Speaker 1: three twenty two teams. Patriots third plus six hundred.
- 51:45Speaker 4: Oh wow.
- 51:46Speaker 1: Then Buffalo, then Denver, then Houston, all kind of close.
- 51:51Speaker 1: But then you have two teams that aren't it all
- 51:52Speaker 1: the Bears at plus sixteen hundred. There may be a
- 51:55Speaker 1: little something there. Yeah, you know, drop a little something
- 51:58Speaker 1: on that couple. And right now the forty nine ers
- 52:01Speaker 1: are at plus two thousand. Yeah, that's gonna be tough
- 52:04Speaker 1: for that.
- 52:04Speaker 3: It's gonna be hard.
- 52:05Speaker 1: I think if they can win this game, it gets
- 52:09Speaker 1: a lot easier.
- 52:09Speaker 4: And I know that they just got to beat Done.
- 52:11Speaker 4: It was only thirteen to three. But Seahawks man handle
- 52:14Speaker 4: him a few weeks ago. Man, they know each other,
- 52:16Speaker 4: and you never know what those divisional games.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Yeah, no, Kittle, I know it be tough. It'll be tough,
- 52:23Speaker 1: all right. That's it, boys.
- 52:26Speaker 3: We got the National Championship this week Monday, Funday. We'll
- 52:30Speaker 3: be back on Before that. I was just thinking about it,
- 52:33Speaker 3: because I mean, you forget dropping off scratch, you do that,
- 52:35Speaker 3: maybe subscribing that account, that's exciting.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I've kind of retired from putting more money in right now.
- 52:44Speaker 1: I've had a bad season, and I think when you
- 52:47Speaker 1: start to feel not good about it. You have to
- 52:48Speaker 1: stop for a bit. I'm stopping right now. Yeah. Good,
- 52:51Speaker 1: until the day of the game, and then I kind
- 52:53Speaker 1: of hot back down.
- 52:54Speaker 4: It's a little bit a live beting maybe, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I think I just kind of feeling out, you know. Hey,
- 53:00Speaker 1: it doesn't got a feel with it. All right, Thank
- 53:02Speaker 1: you guys. We will be back Monday, so we'll talk
- 53:06Speaker 1: about that then and hopefully we have great news. I'm
- 53:08Speaker 1: just glad there's no Monday night game of the NFL. Yeah,
- 53:10Speaker 1: like we can already feel who's gonna be with that. Yeah,
