- 0:58Speaker 2: engagement ring?
- 1:00Speaker 3: You lost it? Why?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Because at the time I had this ex boyfriend who
- 1:07Speaker 1: was such a terrible person. He was, you know, toxic
- 1:11Speaker 1: and manipulating, just scary, a scary guy. Okay, it's one
- 1:18Speaker 1: of those guys you regret ever letting into your life,
- 1:20Speaker 1: you know. And before I met my husband, I owed
- 1:23Speaker 1: him money from when we lived together, and then after
- 1:26Speaker 1: we broke up, he started making threats to try to
- 1:29Speaker 1: get back from me.
- 1:30Speaker 3: You owed him money, Okay, so you owed your ex money?
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yes, all right, And I'm embarrassed now even talking about it,
- 1:36Speaker 1: because looking back, I should have gone to some of
- 1:39Speaker 1: this for help. I should have told my fiance.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Well, you know, but.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I was young, I was dumb, I was scared. I
- 1:45Speaker 1: was panicking.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Okay, So you did own the money. It wasn't like
- 1:48Speaker 2: he was just threatening you and being crazy.
- 1:50Speaker 3: You did own the.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Money I owed him.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yes, So you sold your ring. Ah, that's a big
- 1:57Speaker 3: that's a lot, I know.
- 1:58Speaker 1: But he kept you know, he was threatening to show
- 2:01Speaker 1: up at my job, and he was threatened to humiliate
- 2:04Speaker 1: me and to contact my fiance and tell him lies
- 2:07Speaker 1: about me. And every time he left me one of
- 2:10Speaker 1: those messages just made me sick, you know. I I
- 2:13Speaker 1: just remember I was sitting in my car just crying
- 2:16Speaker 1: one day, just staring at my ring, just thinking like
- 2:19Speaker 1: what do I do? You know, I was broke, I
- 2:22Speaker 1: didn't have anything.
- 2:23Speaker 3: So what when you went to your So you you
- 2:25Speaker 3: sold the ring?
- 2:26Speaker 2: I don't know, like now that you're already married, and
- 2:28Speaker 2: it's it is what it is. First of all, what
- 2:31Speaker 2: was your fiance's reaction when you said you lost the ring?
- 2:33Speaker 3: Because that's you know, how do you lose a ring? Right?
- 2:37Speaker 3: You haven't even been married yet and you lost the ring.
- 2:39Speaker 1: He was upset, of course, he was, you know, but
- 2:42Speaker 1: he hugged me and he told me it's okay, we'll
- 2:45Speaker 1: figure it out, and that he is such a good guy.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Like I ended, I got such a good guy. I'll
- 2:53Speaker 1: tell you that made me even feel worse because he
- 2:56Speaker 1: was so kind about it, right right.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So he didn't react. He wasn't mad, he wasn't angry.
- 3:01Speaker 2: He just said, okay, we'll figure it out.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Don't worry, don't Did you get a new ring?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Well, a few months later he bought me a much smaller,
- 3:08Speaker 1: cheaper ring that I'm wearing it today. But you know what,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'll tell you, I love that ring more than anything
- 3:17Speaker 1: because it reminds me of the kind of man he is.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You know, he's that's.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Kind of sweet. But I don't blame him for buying
- 3:22Speaker 2: a cheaper and smaller ring. Well, this girl wants to
- 3:25Speaker 2: go around and lose stuff, let me.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I mean, that's what he could afford, you know, I
- 3:30Speaker 1: mean maybe at some point.
- 3:32Speaker 3: There's nothing wrong with that. I don't care, nothing wrong
- 3:36Speaker 3: with that.
- 3:36Speaker 2: But you've never told him the truth, even now that
- 3:38Speaker 2: you're married and it is what it is, No.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And he this secret is eating at me, Like that's
- 3:45Speaker 1: what I'm telling you, guys, I have just I don't know.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I just he deserved to know the truth, you know.
- 3:51Speaker 1: But it's been so many years now, and honestly, I
- 3:53Speaker 1: don't know what what good would even do? You know?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Point now what I'm notating lying to somebody, but at
- 4:01Speaker 2: this point, what's the what would you why? Yeah? Right?
- 4:05Speaker 1: I mean if I could go back and you know,
- 4:07Speaker 1: out and do it over again, I would absolutely handle
- 4:10Speaker 1: it completely differently. You know, I would tell him everything.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But you know, when you're young and stood and dealing
- 4:16Speaker 1: with someone.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think I've had girls do this to me.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Oh sell wedding rings, engagement rings. I could have been
- 4:24Speaker 2: a damn CA's jeweler with any right. Matter of fact,
- 4:27Speaker 2: most of them I haven't gotten back. But let's not
- 4:29Speaker 2: go there. But good for you. I'm glad you're in
- 4:33Speaker 2: a happy relationship and it's worked out. And hey, you're young,
- 4:36Speaker 2: you make mistakes. Life goes on it is what it is.
- 4:39Speaker 2: But at least you got that X out of your life.
- 4:41Speaker 2: It was a bad person, and and look your husband
- 4:45Speaker 2: now reacted in such a loving way. It maybe it
- 4:48Speaker 2: was like a sign that this is the one for sure.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Oh, no question about that. I just pray and I
- 4:54Speaker 1: just hope that someday I can just fully forgive myself
- 4:57Speaker 1: for it, you.
