- 0:01In the bhagavad-gita Arjuna poses, the question to Shri
- 0:05Krishna as to how one can know the spiritual, man.
- 0:10How does he walk? How does he speak?
- 0:13How does he act Spiritual practitioners, post, similar
- 0:17types of questions about meditation as to what is the
- 0:21right form of meditation. How does one sit?
- 0:25How does one act how does one carry out the meditation?
- 0:29Shri krishna's answer to Arjuna was that it was not the external
- 0:34form, but the internal substance that determined the truth.
- 0:40It is similarly, the inner aspiration, the motivation of
- 0:45the Seeker, who meditates that determines the effectiveness of
- 0:49the meditation. Meditation does not mean.
- 0:52That one should simply sit and let anything happen that comes
- 0:56up. And then when the time is up,
- 0:59the individual gets up and nothing has changed or been
- 1:02transformed. In his life, meditation is not
- 1:06simply to withdraw from activity.
- 1:10A question that can be asked, is whether the individual is the
- 1:13same after the meditation as before the meditation.
- 1:18What has changed in fairness? Some types of meditation will,
- 1:23of course, not bear. Obvious fruit after a single
- 1:26attempt, So one can look back and see whether after any period
- 1:31of time, one day or one week or one month, Etc.
- 1:37The meditation has made the individual more reflective, more
- 1:41insightful, more compassionate, more understanding, more in
- 1:47tune, with the Divine Purpose of his life.
- 1:51If it is not moving, the Seeker forward in the spiritual
- 1:54practice, then it is simply a static exercise.
- 1:58As that may help, relax the individual, but does not go much
- 2:02farther. The dynamic form of meditation
- 2:06will have a transformative effect and that is how one can
- 2:10see the difference. Over time, a disciple asks, how
- 2:16is it done? Is it done in a different way?
- 2:20The mother observes. I think it is.
- 2:23The aspiration that should be different.
- 2:25The attitude should be different different way.
- 2:28What do you mean by way laughing?
- 2:31The way of fitting, not that the inner way, if But for each one,
- 2:39it is different. I think the most important thing
- 2:42is to know why one meditates. This is, what gives the quality
- 2:47of the meditation and makes it a one order or another.
- 2:50You may meditate to open yourself to the Divine Force.
- 2:55You may meditate to reject the ordinary Consciousness.
- 2:59You may meditate to enter the depths of your being You may
- 3:03meditate to learn how to give yourself integrally.
- 3:08You may meditate for all kinds of things.
- 3:12You may meditate to enter into peace and calm and silence.
- 3:16This is what most people generally do but without much
- 3:21success, but you may also meditate to receive the force of
- 3:25transformation to discover the point to be transformed to trace
- 3:31out the line of progress. And then you may also meditate
- 3:36for very practical reasons when you have a difficulty to clear
- 3:40up the solution to find when you want help in some action or
- 3:45other. You may meditate for that, too.
- 3:50I think everyone has his own motive meditation, but if one
- 3:54wants the meditation to be dynamic, one must have an
- 3:58aspiration for progress and the meditation must be done to help
- 4:02and fulfill this aspiration for Progress.
