- 0:00Erin Gray: You can have a thriving business and make a lot of money in your job, you can have plenty of investments, different sources of income, healthy bank balances and still feel like it's never enough.
- 0:12Erin Gray: These are the types of clients that I actually support, and this was actually, and has been, my journey over the last I want to say all of my life, but really over the last probably six years, and so today what I want to do is discuss how the words that you use and how you speak about your money and basically your life everything in your life is actually reinforcing that scarcity, and how shifting your language can help you finally experience the safety and the freedom that you have been desiring.
- 0:44Erin Gray: Finally experience the safety and the freedom that you have been desiring.
- 0:48Erin Gray: I also wanted to ask you that, if you have been receiving value from this podcast, I would love it if you would leave a five-star review.
- 0:53Erin Gray: It helps the show grow and get found by other people just like you who are working through their own money stories, their money beliefs, their money mindset, so that they can feel more abundant and financially free.
- 1:08Erin Gray: To me, financial freedom is not a number, because I had the number and I did not feel financially free.
- 1:15Erin Gray: So what I'm really wanting to inspire, guide, help each of you is to know that that freedom is an internal thing.
- 1:25Erin Gray: Obviously, we want to have money in the 3d world, right, like, yeah, it's fun to have money, but it doesn't matter if you have money and you don't feel free.
- 1:32Erin Gray: So, really helping you create that sense of internal freedom first, and then allowing it to bubble up and out of you, um, so that you can have it in the 3d world.
- 1:43Erin Gray: You know, my mission really is to change the way that we think about money and so that you can have it in the 3D world.
- 1:45Erin Gray: My mission really is to change the way that we think about money and so that we can truly enjoy our life and that the more that the show grows, then the more that I'm able to do that.
- 1:53Erin Gray: So I would love it if you would just pause the show right now, leave a review and then come back and listen to today's episode.
- 1:59Erin Gray: Okay, so let's talk about, first and foremost, the energetic, like the power, the energy behind our words.
- 2:06Erin Gray: You know language is so important.
- 2:08Erin Gray: When I was little, my mom used to tell me it's not what you're saying, erin, it's the.
- 2:13Erin Gray: I think she would even say the energy behind what you say, which we weren't.
- 2:17Erin Gray: I wouldn't consider us a very conscious family because she would always use words like you're so harsh.
- 2:23Erin Gray: But I know now that my energy that I was coming from was one of very much frustration and anger, and so it would come off.
- 2:30Erin Gray: So I can still say, and I can be very blunt and very straightforward, but it can come from an energy of love now versus an energy of frustration and anger.
- 2:41Erin Gray: So so often we use language to describe our current circumstances.
- 2:47Erin Gray: You know, we've been taught that.
- 2:49Erin Gray: You know what's happening outside of us, like in the 3D, the observed world, right, the world that you see with your five senses, and then we take that information and then we make stories from it or we have thoughts about it, and we don't even realize that we are creating more of the same when we do this.
- 3:08Erin Gray: You know our words.
- 3:09Erin Gray: They carry a vibration.
- 3:11Erin Gray: I love to use the word that I'm so potent because I believe I am.
- 3:16Erin Gray: I know I talk a lot on the podcast, but if you meet me in person I'm kind of the one that kind of hangs back.
- 3:22Erin Gray: I don't really talk a lot.
- 3:24Erin Gray: I like more one-on-one conversations and if I'm in a crowd or a group of people, I'm definitely the one that's observing everybody, kind of listening to what everyone's saying, and then only really talking when someone asks me a question or asks for feedback, because I really truly feel like I don't need to talk all the time.
- 3:43Erin Gray: Like my words are very potent.
- 3:45Erin Gray: Things that I say activate people and make them think differently, and so I want you to think the same about your words as well.
- 3:54Erin Gray: Like our words are very potent.
- 3:55Erin Gray: They carry a vibration.
- 3:57Erin Gray: It's very important the words that we speak.
- 3:59Erin Gray: Like let's choose our words very carefully.
- 4:04Erin Gray: I go to energy work probably once every two to three weeks.
- 4:08Erin Gray: Sometimes we'll do just straight up energy work.
- 4:11Erin Gray: Sometimes we'll do energy work and a massage.
- 4:12Erin Gray: Sometimes it's just a massage.
- 4:14Erin Gray: But one of the things that she told me one time she was like Erin, you were very specific with your words.
- 4:19Erin Gray: Like there will be times or like that she's asking me a question and it will take me a minute or two to respond because I want to choose the word, not from a like I'm messing up and choosing the wrong word, but I I'm very intentional with my words now, and this is something that I want you to pay attention to and to start doing so, because our words carry a vibration, right, and that vibration it operates on a frequency.
- 4:45Erin Gray: If you think about vibration, vibration is just movement of particles, right, but the frequency is how fast or how slow those particles move.
- 4:54Erin Gray: And so when you think about, you know, using words, are you moving?
- 4:59Erin Gray: Like I said earlier, are you moving from the energy of love, of abundance, of joy, of empowerment, you know?
- 5:06Erin Gray: Are you stating empowering language when you talk about yourself, or are you operating from more of a low and slow frequency, from the energy of lack or guilt or shame, or from disempowerment?
- 5:20Erin Gray: The law of vibration is all about attracting what we are like, our state of being, how we vibrate on a constant basis, not what we want.
- 5:32Erin Gray: So I know manifestation has been like pretty big recently, over the last several years, and people think that you can just think positive thoughts and it will come to you.
- 5:42Erin Gray: But if your state of being, if you vibrate on a lower frequency, that is the, that is the frequency that you are going to attract.
- 5:52Erin Gray: So there is this really neat documentary with and I might be mispronouncing his name Masaru Emoto, who was a Japanese scientist, and he was in the documentary called what the Bleep Do I Know?
- 6:05Erin Gray: And basically he shows how language has an effect on water and since we are made up of what 70% water, he just goes in and he shows how our language affects water, how music affects water.
- 6:21Erin Gray: It's, it's a very insightful and thought provoking makes you really start to think um documentary.
- 6:30Erin Gray: So I'll we'll put in the show notes just the the clip of where he talks about our thoughts and water, if you want to look at that, and I think it's like around minute three, 28, three, 30, something like that, where he goes into um thoughts and water.
- 6:46Erin Gray: So I'll put that clip in the show notes If you're just curious and you're just learning how vibration actually affects um ourselves, molecular, our biology.
- 6:55Erin Gray: So so we always have to start with awareness, right?
- 6:59Erin Gray: What are we speaking into existence without even knowing it?
- 7:03Erin Gray: What phrases are we saying?
- 7:05Erin Gray: Because we are taking feedback from our 3D world, right, our observed world, with our five senses, and we are having a thought or a story or a belief about it, versus being intentional with our thoughts, with our mind, and choosing from our imagination what I call the 5D and creating from our imagination what I call the 5D and creating from there.
- 7:25Erin Gray: So I want to talk about what I consider like low vibration language and high vibration language, because we unconsciously repeat disempowering phrases and that creates a feeling in the body.
- 7:40Erin Gray: So those feelings are going to emit a vibration and when we are repetitive with this right, it creates our state of being.
- 7:48Erin Gray: Like one of the things that I'm trying to teach my kid is like why there are songs.
- 7:53Erin Gray: I mean, every song has a course, right.
- 7:55Erin Gray: Why are there courses multiple times in the song?
- 7:58Erin Gray: It's for it to get into the subconscious mind.
- 8:00Erin Gray: Now, some songs are high vibrational, some are low vibrational, right, and so it's like you want to be very, very mindful of what you are putting into your brain.
- 8:09Erin Gray: My, my kid totally thinks that, you know, I think she gets it, but she likes to razz me and say that I'm crazy, but she's on board with it.
- 8:23Erin Gray: So what I'm going to do is I'm going to give you some phrases that I've heard some of my clients use, or phrases that I have said in the past, and then I'm going to give you a phrase after that that is more of a higher vibration, more empowering.
- 8:32Erin Gray: You know, that can emit those feelings of empowerment, so that you can see the difference, and I want to say that these are not like this is the only phrase, right, like I always am encouraging clients to tap back into their body what feels true to them, like.
- 8:49Erin Gray: Sometimes I'll offer up a phrase to a client.
- 8:50Erin Gray: I'm like how do you feel?
- 8:51Erin Gray: How does that feel?
- 8:52Erin Gray: And they'll say that doesn't feel true in the body.
- 8:54Erin Gray: I'm like, okay, then we have to keep working until there is a phrase or there is words that you can believe right now.
- 9:00Erin Gray: So some.
- 9:02Erin Gray: So I'm just going to riff on this and then, um, give the the alternate option and then play with what feels good to you and take what resonates, leave the rest.
- 9:12Erin Gray: So one of the thoughts, beliefs that I used to have was that we don't have enough saved, which is very much so lack and scarcity driven, and what I changed it to was I am so proud of myself for the creating the amount of money that we do have, and more is on its way.
- 9:27Erin Gray: Another one is I'm struggling with my money mindset and it feels it might feel true in the body.
- 9:33Erin Gray: Right, like, yeah, but I am, I'm, but you have to look at everything that is in your current 3D world right now, what you are looking at using your five senses.
- 9:42Erin Gray: That is all the past, meaning that your thoughts, your beliefs, your actions that you took yesterday, a month ago, six months ago, whatever it is, that is what created today, right now.
- 9:53Erin Gray: So if we want something different, we have to think differently, we have to be someone different now.
- 9:57Erin Gray: So if we want something different, we have to think differently, we have to be someone different.
- 10:00Erin Gray: We have to take different action.
- 10:01Erin Gray: We have to feel differently.
- 10:02Erin Gray: So one of the ones, like I said, I'm struggling with my money mindset.
- 10:04Erin Gray: You could choose to say I'm working through my money mindset.
- 10:08Erin Gray: Or you could say something like I'm just changing my money mindset.
- 10:11Erin Gray: I'm not great with money.
- 10:12Erin Gray: Flip that to say something like I'm learning how to be with my money.
- 10:16Erin Gray: I should have more by now.
- 10:17Erin Gray: That was me too.
- 10:19Erin Gray: Um, you can just even like I had to get neutral with some of this language.
- 10:23Erin Gray: So if going to abundance like I'm so abundant was not what my body believed, so I had to get to sufficiency, so it was too far of a nervous system jump for me.
- 10:34Erin Gray: So what I had to do was, um, instead of saying I should have more money by now, like I have the amount of money that I need right now, today.
- 10:42Erin Gray: That was for me.
- 10:43Erin Gray: That was sufficiency.
- 10:44Erin Gray: Um, uh, also to like easy.
- 10:47Erin Gray: We have a lot of thoughts around easy, or we have to work hard for money or just life in general as a struggle.
- 10:53Erin Gray: So it's not going to be easy to do X, y, z.
- 10:57Erin Gray: You could say something like I'm getting more comfortable with my life being one of ease instead of hustle and struggle, and then I'll give you a couple more and then you can play with them.
- 11:08Erin Gray: So I keep making these mistakes and and I don't even like to use the word mistakes, I like to use the word choices and then I I am learning from my choices.
- 11:17Erin Gray: So you could say I have made these choices and I have learned so much.
- 11:22Erin Gray: It has taught me so much versus mistakes, because mistakes you've got to check in with you.
- 11:27Erin Gray: But like, what does that feel like in the body?
- 11:29Erin Gray: Does that feel contracting?
- 11:31Erin Gray: And that's where you know if it's lower vibration or not.
- 11:33Erin Gray: Right, like, does that feel contracting to you or does that feel expansive?
- 11:37Erin Gray: So one more you could say uh, instead of saying like I feel guilty that I'm spending this much on whatever it is that you're buying, you could say I have decided to spend on this, because I am teaching my body that I am worthy of having what I want.
- 11:54Erin Gray: So I always want to celebrate you, celebrate how far you come, celebrate the awarenesses that you are having, like just celebrate all of this, like you noticing and you being aware of your language.
- 12:07Erin Gray: That is where change actually happens, like we cannot change what we are not aware of.
- 12:12Erin Gray: So let's talk about actually now that you're aware of the language that you use, and being so mindful, like a watchdog, is what I want to think about.
- 12:21Erin Gray: Right, like we've got to be so aware, not to the point where you're like driving yourself crazy and you're like constantly checking your language, right, but like just being more aware of the language that you use, slowing down, paying attention before.
- 12:33Erin Gray: And what will happen, depending on your level of awareness?
- 12:36Erin Gray: It will happen at first, after the fact, like you'll say something and then you'll be like oh, I see what I just said there.
- 12:42Erin Gray: And then it'll happen like in the middle, right, like before, um, as you're describing something you might, you might catch yourself, and then what will happen is your awareness will go to before, right, so before I, like in my brain, I might hear the thought, but before I speak it, I will notice what, what um came through, and then I will choose more empowering language, so speaking your reality into existence.
- 13:08Erin Gray: I love Neville Goddard.
- 13:09Erin Gray: I don't know why.
- 13:10Erin Gray: I mean I think it's probably just because of my level of awareness at the time back then.
- 13:14Erin Gray: But it hasn't been until most more recently that I've really gotten into Neville Goddard of awareness.
- 13:31Erin Gray: It's a short read, it's very potent and it's one that you want to read and reread several times.
- 13:33Erin Gray: But in the book, neville says that everything has already been created, everything that ever was and ever will be.
- 13:38Erin Gray: It is done.
- 13:39Erin Gray: You know, I'm not a religious person.
- 13:41Erin Gray: I don't have, didn't really come from a religious background, um, but that is what the Bible says too.
- 13:46Erin Gray: Right Like.
- 13:47Erin Gray: So if that is true let's just assume that's true Then all we have to do is what he calls manifest it, which means bring it from our imagination into the 3D observed world.
- 13:59Erin Gray: And we do that by our feelings, our state of being and our identity, which is ultimately our state of vibration, so who we believe ourselves to be, the actions that we take.
- 14:10Erin Gray: That is going to create what we want or what we don't want, and our language comes from our identity.
- 14:17Erin Gray: So if you call yourself or you speak about yourself like bad with money, that is coming from someone who has the identity that isn't good with money, like there's ultimately a belief there that I'm not good with money and maybe that's not the belief, but there's some thread along that line of not good with money.
- 14:33Erin Gray: So I want to encourage you to really take some time to journal, to go inward and think about who are you Like, who am I?
- 14:41Erin Gray: What do you believe to be true about yourself?
- 14:44Erin Gray: And I think in the beginning, at first, you really just need to rattle off everything that is unfiltered.
- 14:48Erin Gray: And I think in the beginning, at first, you really just need to rattle off everything that is unfiltered, just let it go and notice what your, what your subconscious, actually gives you.
- 14:55Erin Gray: So ask yourself, like is this actually empowering Once you get it on paper?
- 15:01Erin Gray: Is this empowering?
- 15:02Erin Gray: Does this actually help me achieve my goals and where I'm going?
- 15:05Erin Gray: Or is this a disempowering story or belief that I'm carrying?
- 15:10Erin Gray: And if that is true, then what do you actually want to be thinking?
- 15:15Erin Gray: So, when you are constantly repeating that you're bad with money, your subconscious, like I said, is going to look for evidence to prove that it's true, I talked about this, the, the RAS, which is reticular activating system.
- 15:29Erin Gray: I also talked about confirmation bias in a previous episode.
- 15:32Erin Gray: So you can go back to episode 137 and you can listen to that and the whole explanation of that.
- 15:38Erin Gray: I kind of went in depth there.
- 15:40Erin Gray: But we've been taught to believe that money brings freedom.
- 15:42Erin Gray: Right, we think money equals X, y, z.
- 15:45Erin Gray: Money brings freedom, money brings peace, money brings calm.
- 15:47Erin Gray: Well, we know that that's not true, because either you feel that way or, um, you can, you know someone that experiences that.
- 15:56Erin Gray: So it wasn't until I shifted my identity, until I changed my language, until I saw the power of my words, my thoughts, my emotions and what it actually creates in my life for me to start shifting that right.
- 16:11Erin Gray: Like I was on autopilot.
- 16:12Erin Gray: I think a lot of us are right.
- 16:14Erin Gray: Like we I just was texting a friend We've been conditioned to live in these certain paradigms and we don't have to right, like when we wake up, when we become more aware.
- 16:23Erin Gray: We just can start shifting this.
- 16:25Erin Gray: So celebrate that you're here, celebrate that you want different, celebrate that you're aware that you have had patterns and how you talk to yourself and that you're willing to shift it.
- 16:38Erin Gray: I just want to say I'm just so proud of you If you're here, if you're listening.
- 16:41Erin Gray: You are making steps.
- 16:43Erin Gray: You are taking steps to change your life, to change your relationship with money, and I just want to just say how proud I am of you because this is courageous work.
- 16:53Erin Gray: So if this is something that you want more support, individualized support with, I would love to help you.
- 17:01Erin Gray: You deserve to feel peace with your money.
- 17:04Erin Gray: You deserve to feel abundant with your money.
- 17:07Erin Gray: You deserve all that life is offering you.
- 17:10Erin Gray: So all you have to do if you want to connect and see if we're a good fit is you just schedule a call by clicking the link in the show notes.
- 17:19Erin Gray: It's that simple.
