Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to Arguing Ever After. My name is Luke and this is my
- 0:04lovely wife Amber. Hello, We are the Lord and Lady
- 0:08who lock horns. The count and Countess of
- 0:11contention. The Duke and Duchess of
- 0:13Disagreement. And the king and queen of
- 0:16quarrels. We have been together since
- 0:18Jinko jeans were first in fashion.
- 0:21We have argued about practically everything, and yet we're still
- 0:24together and happy. We have a great teenager who
- 0:28currently doesn't think we're lame and most of our family
- 0:31still likes us. In this entertainment only
- 0:34podcast, we'll bicker about all things big and small, and the
- 0:37audience gets the final say on who the winner is.
- 0:41We do not claim to be relationship experts by any
- 0:44means. We will debate lots of things,
- 0:47many of which are frequently submitted by our listeners.
- 0:50So if you have a topic you want us to battle over before you try
- 0:54it at home, please share it with us at
- 0:56arguingeverafter@gmail.com. Perhaps this completely
- 1:00unscientific method of letting the masses decide who is right
- 1:04can settle your fight too, before you even have it.
- 1:08So today we were discussing things considered in the
- 1:14category of woo woo, according to Amber.
- 1:18That's my category. For it, yes, which includes many
- 1:23things which we will probably have podcasts about in the
- 1:27future. Absolutely, but today the
- 1:30question was about extraterrestrial life.
- 1:35Aliens. Yay, aliens.
- 1:40So we both have probably lots of opinions on it and I'm sure you
- 1:48all do too. So we thought we would just have
- 1:51a little discussion about what the truth is about them.
- 1:57Yes, the truth. The the truth I for myself have
- 2:03been, as I'm sure many people have been interested in
- 2:10extraterrestrial life for a very long time because it's been part
- 2:16of pop culture since, well, at least since I was born and
- 2:21probably since most of the people watching this podcast
- 2:24have been born, going back as far as at least the first big
- 2:29deal one for our country was Roswell, which was in the 50s.
- 2:34Yes, yes. And it has been covered with all
- 2:39kinds of, you know, those videos people put up.
- 2:43And it's like, what is that? Well, why does it look so
- 2:46unnatural? Do you remember the storming of
- 2:50Area 52? Is that what it's called?
- 2:53Oh my God, 51. 51 stop it. Do you remember though?
- 2:58I think it was during like 2021 where Area 51 everybody was like
- 3:04let's storm it. Yeah, it was a flam storm do.
- 3:07Remember that they were going to like go take over.
- 3:09Yeah, yeah. I don't know what happened to
- 3:13that. I remember either, I don't know
- 3:15if I saw it or heard it, but I remember something about like 20
- 3:20people of the theoretically planned thousands.
- 3:23Hundreds of thousands. Showed up to like one of the
- 3:25gates and there were guards there and they were like, this
- 3:28is an active military base, do not cross that line and then
- 3:33they were left. I know, but they were like, you
- 3:34can't stop us all. It's like sad when you plan a
- 3:39party and nobody shows up. Yes, the poor sad folks.
- 3:44The poor alien lovers. You've got to wonder though,
- 3:47what would they have found? I mean, I think it's pretty
- 3:51clear what they would have. Found Oh is it?
- 3:52Weather balloons. Weather balloons, of course,
- 3:57other things that have put aliens and extraterrestrial life
- 4:02into the the mainstream have been like movies and comics and
- 4:08TV shows. And it's probably one of the
- 4:11most popular things I would guess that people watch and look
- 4:15at. There's a whole category of it.
- 4:17Sci-fi is largely based around things like that, shows like
- 4:22Star Trek and obviously movies like all the Marvel movies.
- 4:29Independence Day. Most of the DC and Marvel
- 4:32Comics. Independence Day is a great
- 4:34example. I saw that movie a few times.
- 4:36That was a big deal back in the. So I like the only sci-fi you
- 4:40liked ever. I like men in black.
- 4:43OK, see there's another one. I.
- 4:45Mean Will Smith is. Pretty so far.
- 4:47Will Smith, We've got two of those.
- 4:49Yep. Also he was in Hancock where he
- 4:52was. I didn't see it I.
- 4:54Don't know if he was an extraterrestrial, he was a God
- 4:56of some sort. OK, I'll trust.
- 4:58Spoiler alert, the movie came out 20 years ago.
- 5:01I feel like if the movie is been like streamed online for free
- 5:06for more than five years, if you haven't watched it, you probably
- 5:11don't care. To me, I have not watched that
- 5:14movie and I don't care to. But I will say I have listened
- 5:22to lots of conspiracy theory podcasts and I've watched my
- 5:27fair amount of TV documentary. Oh God, we'll get into that in a
- 5:32second, Documentaries about things like Area 51.
- 5:37And there have been a few others that they've talked about pretty
- 5:40hard that has to deal with aliens.
- 5:44Because I want to get on board with the conspiracy theory.
- 5:48I love conspiracy theories. I just don't see it.
- 5:53I don't see it. I see that.
- 5:56I don't see the proof that people feel that they see.
- 6:02For a long time at night, we would watch The History Channel
- 6:07and there was always this one guy out in there.
- 6:11And every time I'd wake up in the middle of the night, he
- 6:14would be talking about something.
- 6:15He'd be like, it wouldn't matter what it was.
- 6:17He'd be like, oh, what was Jesus?
- 6:19Jesus was an alien. Oh, what was the Egyptian
- 6:23pyramids about? Oh, it's aliens.
- 6:24Oh, but the, you know, I mean just everything that.
- 6:27Was the guy with the hair? With the wild hair, Yes.
- 6:31And I'm sure he was. I don't, I have no idea.
- 6:35But I mean, I'm like, oh, no matter what it is, they're like,
- 6:38oh, what about the starvation, the Dust Bowl, aliens,
- 6:41everything. It didn't matter.
- 6:43As soon as you saw him, you're like, I thought I was watching
- 6:46an actual documentary. Nope, I'm watching an alien
- 6:49show. Maybe it was more like a
- 6:52docudrama. I have no idea, but I knew the
- 6:55moment I saw him. Because there was historical
- 6:58things that actually occurred. Yes.
- 7:01Documentary style. Yes.
- 7:03But maybe, maybe there's a little dramatization.
- 7:06He was the drama. There's been a couple of those
- 7:09and for what it's worth, they're always popular.
- 7:11So I think, I think everyone might have a little bit of that
- 7:16question mark. I don't necessarily understand
- 7:21how everything can come back to aliens.
- 7:24So what when you say that we're beyond just since the 1950s when
- 7:30we've had little green men and, and all of those things, What,
- 7:37what else? What else have you thought had
- 7:40some value? What do you mean value?
- 7:44In thinking about is it possible?
- 7:49I mean, it's all sort of the the great question, you know, like,
- 7:54are we alone? And I think it's a question that
- 7:56everybody sort of asks so. I would never ask that question
- 8:01if it wasn't on TV. But I think, but my point is
- 8:05that it like it's always been there, like longer than we've
- 8:08been alive. So I think it's actually fair to
- 8:11say that most people, at least for the last, I, I guess, I
- 8:16don't know, a time for maybe 100 years, maybe it's more than
- 8:19that. I mean, you know, thousands
- 8:21maybe. People have probably looked up
- 8:24at the stars and wondered, well, what if?
- 8:29I I'm sure some people, but I don't look at the stars and
- 8:34wonder what if. Well, you might be in the
- 8:37minority. I understand I have an unpopular
- 8:41opinion. This I truly get.
- 8:44I just don't, I don't see the correlation.
- 8:49And when people like we were talking about the history stuff,
- 8:51right, like everything on The History Channel and how they
- 8:54would go back and look at things and say, you know, well, aliens
- 8:58must have been involved, pyramids, right?
- 9:01Humans couldn't possibly have figured out how to align
- 9:05whatever it was to the stars. Like we just couldn't do it.
- 9:09I feel like that's just so egotistical of us today.
- 9:13Like for us to think that we have the the apex of knowledge
- 9:18and that all of these people 10s of thousands of years ago
- 9:23couldn't possibly know first. Of all, it's not 10s of
- 9:27thousands of years ago for talking about the pyramids.
- 9:30OK, I'm not just talking, I'm saying, OK, sure.
- 9:33OK. But like whenever you go back in
- 9:35time, like it's not possible that people could have done
- 9:37Stonehenge or it's not possible that people could have done crop
- 9:40circles and all of these things, like whatever the time period
- 9:44is. What I'm saying is it's pretty
- 9:48bonkers of us to think that we couldn't have, you know, I mean,
- 9:53there's. Well, I mean, that's, that's
- 9:56largely because the level of technology required and the
- 10:01reason the things you've brought up have been questioned is
- 10:04because for their time frame, they were so far away and ahead
- 10:10of the technologies available at the time that moving just using
- 10:16one of the pyramids as an example, moving one of the
- 10:19blocks there. I don't even know the numbers
- 10:22because I'm not an expert, which is called an Egyptologist.
- 10:26Yes, but like, I think they weighed some ridiculous thing
- 10:30like 10,000 tons or something like that.
- 10:34And like, at the time, the only technology that they had was
- 10:38like basic stuff like wheels and levers.
- 10:44And like, they didn't have pneumatic equipment, they didn't
- 10:47have hydraulic pressure. They didn't have like, it was
- 10:50just man. What about the Baghdad Battery?
- 10:53They did have technology. Sure, to light a lamp and create
- 10:57electricity or whatever. But that knowledge was lost.
- 11:01Sure it was, but it's been rediscovered and.
- 11:06Again. I mean to your point, OK, So if
- 11:09we're talking about technology, then so if you're suggesting
- 11:14there was a technology. I'm suggesting the knowledge and
- 11:17capability and manpower was there.
- 11:20Yeah, that's what I'm suggesting.
- 11:22Well, clearly something happened.
- 11:24Yeah, the pyramids are real, Yeah.
- 11:27I mean, but for us to think that we didn't, that humans couldn't
- 11:31have come up with anything like that just because our vision
- 11:36based on again, media is that they were so primitive.
- 11:41I think that's. What's that based on the media?
- 11:43Well, sure. But when you think of ancient
- 11:45Egypt, what do you think of? I mean, it's pretty primitive,
- 11:48but they were super smart. I mean, think about the
- 11:51libraries of Alexandria, right? We don't know what was lost and
- 11:55all of that. They could have had all the
- 11:56schematics and all of the ways that, hey, this is how we did
- 11:58it. I mean, it was, it was all the
- 12:00knowledge. From Aliens.
- 12:06I I mean. Is it just that you need to like
- 12:10have concrete proof proof of it? Yes, OK.
- 12:14Yes, concrete how? Does Bluetooth work?
- 12:19I don't know, but I know that it does.
- 12:20How does Wi-Fi work? I don't know, but I know that it
- 12:23does. I'm just saying, like these
- 12:25things are, I don't know. There's that saying that any
- 12:29sufficiently advanced technology would, like make you think it
- 12:33was from an alien, or that it was magic.
- 12:37I've never heard the say this is not a common sense.
- 12:40No one said this before. Somebody's watching who's
- 12:44probably like more in the know than I am, but there's something
- 12:48like that. So if I just start saying
- 12:51something's a saying, then it's a no.
- 12:53It really is. It's any.
- 12:54Any. Sufficiently advanced.
- 12:55Technology is considered is it maybe it's magic, It's something
- 13:01like that because like, well, if you just think about like, OK,
- 13:05let's say you time traveled because we're on the woo woo so.
- 13:08That's that's another Oh. Don't.
- 13:10But let's say you time traveled not too far back in the future
- 13:15where people would be like. Back to the Future.
- 13:19Another sci-fi. But let's say you traveled back
- 13:22in time and not too far back and.
- 13:25Like yesterday. You brought just a camera, let's
- 13:28say, like it doesn't have to be like a smartphone or whatever.
- 13:31You just brought a camera like a Polaroid that could develop its
- 13:34own to like, I don't know, 1500 where you're not, you're far
- 13:42back, but you're not like in the stone ages, you know, you're
- 13:46like, at least people were living in houses at this point.
- 13:50You know, some places have running water, you know, So you
- 13:54bring back a camera that may be perceived as magic or
- 14:01unexplainable because the technology would be that far
- 14:05advanced. That's.
- 14:07I understand and I can see this in one of my very favorite
- 14:11movies. Talking about the.
- 14:12Sayings. This isn't the topic at hand,
- 14:15but it's fine. It's one of my very favorite
- 14:17movies where called Hocus Pocus and the Boy tricks the witches
- 14:24with a zippo lighter so I understand the theory.
- 14:28They thought that was magic. I get that theory.
- 14:31The witches thought the boy was a witch.
- 14:34Yeah, I get the theory of bringing an item back in time.
- 14:37Sure. I mean, and that will be a
- 14:40discussion that we will have when we discuss time travel,
- 14:43which I promise. Or witches.
- 14:46We will discuss. Are we talking about?
- 14:49Witches all at May. Hey, we might.
- 14:51However we're at aliens. We're not at time travel.
- 14:56I don't think that they go in hand in hand.
- 14:59What if they do? Though they might, however, it's
- 15:01just the existence of advanced extraterrestrial life forms.
- 15:08Because I don't think we're talking about blobs or
- 15:17unthinking like dodo birds. I don't, you know what I'm
- 15:20saying? Like, I don't think that I mean.
- 15:21First of all, that's offensive to the dodo community.
- 15:24I. Apologize, sorry it's wrong.
- 15:26I will do some research and become more empathetic to your.
- 15:30Glorious, glorious bird that's extinct.
- 15:35But the pictures based on the bones and the yeah look, they
- 15:39look great. So, I mean, I don't even
- 15:42remember where it was going with that.
- 15:44However, I think that's the question, is there smart life
- 15:49form? You know that that's what we're
- 15:52talking about, not magic. Not just extraterrestrial life.
- 15:57Extra extraordinary, yes, Because that would be the
- 16:02concept, right? That they came here and they
- 16:05were smarter than us. So that's what we're discussing,
- 16:08not magic. Smarter is a good question too,
- 16:13because technologically advanced if they'd arrived here,
- 16:18certainly. Yeah, they'd have.
- 16:19But maybe not smarter, maybe like just they had better tech
- 16:24or something. Maybe they were worse.
- 16:25Well. How do you get the technology
- 16:27without being smarter? I'm not an alien.
- 16:30That's. What you say?
- 16:32Well, I actually really trust you 100% as far as.
- 16:36I know. I mean, it's pretty true.
- 16:39Oh, so then there's the people who believe that like, aliens
- 16:42are walking amongst us. Yes, do you think?
- 16:46I mean, I'm not going to rule it out.
- 16:50OK, there are people that think that there's like certain blood
- 16:54types that is alien DNA and. That's because you have it.
- 16:59I have this specific blood type that is said to have alien DNA
- 17:04and I'm going to tell you, well, I might be smart.
- 17:08I don't know if I have this extraordinary intelligence that
- 17:13is claimed from for aliens. I wish I had the lizard blood
- 17:21that you have. Yeah, well, you, you don't.
- 17:25And I just. Reminds me of a great great
- 17:27movie where the aliens were lizards called Buckaroo Bonsai
- 17:32and something something the 8th dimension and the aliens were
- 17:36lizards and the chief alien was named Doctor Lizardo.
- 17:41Wow, Was this like a blockbuster hit?
- 17:44No, no, that's quite one of those.
- 17:46What is it, B movies? Is that?
- 17:47What? Oh, for sure.
- 17:49OK. And I feel like that's from.
- 17:50The 80s someone recommended it to me because it was AB.
- 17:53They were like it's the finest B movie ever made.
- 17:56Well, and I I also recall that you had an obsession with a
- 18:00Stargate. Oh yes, fantastic.
- 18:03The movie which turned into a amazing TV show, which lasted
- 18:07for many, many years, which turned into like three other
- 18:11movies. I don't know.
- 18:12There was a lot in there. That also had to deal with like
- 18:15aliens coming and showing us stuff and or am I?
- 18:18Had a lot to do with the pyramids as well.
- 18:20Yeah. That's the thing.
- 18:21Why do we think that we that we couldn't have done that back
- 18:25then? We think.
- 18:26About lots of things, you know, I mean we.
- 18:29Lost a lot, so much older than any of the like, I guess I don't
- 18:35know. I mean, I could, I'm not in, in
- 18:37that, in that community, but like it's there, it's like 5000
- 18:43BC, you know, give or take. So that's so far behind or older
- 18:51than what we consider to be like the modern civilization.
- 18:58Yeah, although there was a really big time I think where
- 19:02Brute was winning over brains, right.
- 19:08Like think of a lot of the western expansion and it didn't
- 19:13matter what people thought it was like, hey, we just we have
- 19:17weapons and we don't care about you.
- 19:19So very primitive in how you know the and we won 6. 1000
- 19:28years after that though. Sure, but we get real really
- 19:31dumbed down. I mean, OK, that's why it's you
- 19:36said why? I'm just saying that's why
- 19:37'cause it's so far back. I mean like the expansion of
- 19:41Rome, which could be the argument for western expansion.
- 19:44Yes yes was 5000 years later but or close to it.
- 19:49OK, I'm not a historian. Wasn't that one like?
- 19:51I apologize to all the historians out there, including
- 19:54my father. Any fact checkers out there?
- 19:57You are going to have so much fun with us because there's.
- 20:02So we don't know what we're talking.
- 20:04About that, we don't. We're not checking this stuff
- 20:07out. It's from whatever is, you know,
- 20:09reaching in the back of our brains, you know, some
- 20:12something, you know, some light bulb that's turning on.
- 20:15So we enjoy it. You don't need to correct us
- 20:18because we know that we're 90% wrong.
- 20:22Oh, it might be less than that. OK.
- 20:24Yeah, with the sprinkling of actual facts that we can
- 20:27remember, but somewhere in there so.
- 20:30I like sprinkles. Yeah, yeah.
- 20:33I mean, we're, we, we like the shiny, but we do we recall bits
- 20:37and pieces of things. So, but don't come at us.
- 20:40It doesn't matter. It's not going to change our
- 20:42opinions and we won't at least I, this goldfish brain won't
- 20:46remember what you told us for it to be fact.
- 20:49It's still going to not swim in there.
- 20:51So I'm just going to say that as I really can't remember what we
- 20:56were talking about, except for, Oh, timelines.
- 20:59You were talking about timelines And, and I I know what what I
- 21:03think I know is that you had the pyramids and then you had Rome,
- 21:07but in there like I was talking about with that library in
- 21:11there, the Romans, I believe Julius Caesar burnt down those
- 21:17libraries. Or that's a theory or something.
- 21:20I. You're thinking of the movie
- 21:21with Elizabeth Taylor. Great movie.
- 21:23Oh my God and she was gorgeous when they.
- 21:27If you haven't seen it, spoiler alert it's from like 60 years
- 21:31ago. Maybe not, but it's pretty old.
- 21:34But she came rolling out of this carpet like it's a part of the
- 21:38story. And if you know a lot about it,
- 21:39it makes sense. But oh, she was gorgeous.
- 21:44Oh my God. And the costuming in that movie.
- 21:47Wonderful. So but this is.
- 21:48Where she wasn't from Africa. That's true.
- 21:54That's true. I mean.
- 21:56But she was Elizabeth Taylor. She was Elizabeth Taylor, so if
- 21:59you're looking for an old movie that you haven't seen, go watch
- 22:04Cleopatra if you are. Looking for?
- 22:06Unless you want to watch a movie about aliens, then they have
- 22:09some other recommendations for you.
- 22:10If you're looking for a movie that you have seen and you're
- 22:14like, I forgot how great that like that was a huge cost, like
- 22:19the cost of that movie. Oh, it was beautiful.
- 22:22So anyhow, you should you should watch it.
- 22:24That's my recommendation on alien movies.
- 22:27There's no aliens. Involved.
- 22:29Good. Yes, Yeah, you got a little off
- 22:31to the side. I really did.
- 22:33But you know, I I love Elizabeth Taylor.
- 22:37So so don't don't put that don't open that door for me.
- 22:41However, like if that's the timeline and again, they were
- 22:46using brute force in their takeover of the world.
- 22:51Sure. And it was very purposeful.
- 22:55Again, remember, I am a conspiracy theorist that only a
- 22:59few kept the knowledge and share this stuff.
- 23:01They didn't want the masses to know things.
- 23:03So, you know, whatever they would have burned down because
- 23:05like, hey, if I'm the only one who knows it, you can't use it
- 23:07against me. I think that there's something
- 23:12to that. So I'll just put that out there.
- 23:17But I guess, I guess. Well, Luke, let me ask you a
- 23:23question. And now, the moment you've all
- 23:27been waiting for in this corner, we have Amber claiming to weigh
- 23:32in at 135 lbs with two wins and 0 losses, which is really
- 23:39unfortunate for me. By the way, she has over 25
- 23:42years of practice in the art of insignificant lovers spats and
- 23:46is armed with her amazing wit, which she will need today.
- 23:49And in this corner we have Luke as prime weight of 185 lbs with
- 23:56his beautiful red beard. He has zero wins.
- 24:02That's sad. And two losses which might
- 24:07change today. It might be a turn around for
- 24:12you. Let's hope so.
- 24:14Because, Luke, let me ask you a question.
- 24:17Do you honestly believe that aliens have walked the planet
- 24:25Earth amongst us humans? Here's the deal.
- 24:31I believe I would for for sure not rule it out and I would even
- 24:39say that it's likely and I would even go so far as to like bet on
- 24:47that it has happened. The difficulty could be in
- 24:51proving it. I don't know about the like walk
- 24:54amongst us thing because that might be a little.
- 24:57Or are they just flying amongst us?
- 24:58Little spaceships? I believe that to be the case,
- 25:02yes. Do you disagree?
- 25:06I do. I do.
- 25:10I believe you've established some of your points.
- 25:13Why don't I give you some counters?
- 25:14I'd love to hear them. Prove me wrong, Luke.
- 25:18I would, I would love to. OK.
- 25:20So first of all, you do have all the speculative information
- 25:27that's out there that most of us have probably been Privy to at
- 25:30some point or another, most of you watching both of us.
- 25:33Obviously we've talked about some of the shows, better
- 25:36documentaries or docudramas, things that are unexplained.
- 25:40I think that's the name of one of the shows.
- 25:42Actually. It might be called unexplained,
- 25:45and there have been numerous over the course of our modern
- 25:50history reports from all over the world of congruous events
- 25:59that were similar in times when information was not so easily
- 26:05exchanged. You mentioned crop circles.
- 26:08I think those are for the most part of silly hoax, but there
- 26:12have been reports of similar like unexplained things like
- 26:18UFOs, which are now called some other acronym like that.
- 26:24We're doing the same thing in Europe that they were doing in
- 26:30the US So that's just something. Then you have all of like the
- 26:38amateur footage of things they didn't understand.
- 26:43Much of these things have been gone through on these
- 26:46documentaries where they're trying to find out what's going
- 26:49on using a scientific method of trying to prove it wrong and not
- 26:53being able to, which doesn't necessarily mean that it's true,
- 26:57but it doesn't make it untrue. Now the most recent development
- 27:05of this has actually been from the US government and not just
- 27:12like a one off like info dump on a bunch of different stuff.
- 27:18One of the more wider known ones because I know about it so
- 27:24obviously it's wider known if I found out about it was footage
- 27:30from high resolution cameras in American fighter jets over the
- 27:36ocean. I saw that footage.
- 27:40That was classified for like a long time, like 10 years or
- 27:45something that the Pentagon released and said, yeah, we
- 27:50don't know what this was. And it's certainly beyond any
- 27:54Earth technology from the Pentagon.
- 27:57And that's not an isolated incident or report.
- 28:01So a large part of my argument to you would be that if in the
- 28:06last five years, the most militarized government of the
- 28:12modern era, being the United States, is going to come out
- 28:16with real footage from classified documents and say
- 28:20this is legitimately unexplainable, why would they do
- 28:26that after so long in secrecy? What?
- 28:29Why would they do that? Yeah, OK, again, remember I am a
- 28:33little bit of a conspiracy theorist because keeping the
- 28:37masses afraid keeps them controllable.
- 28:41And what is more terrifying than little green men coming down
- 28:45from Mars to possibly mess with our human population?
- 28:50Actually, I would say that is why they did it.
- 28:54And when you look at it right, so you look at history and how
- 28:58it you know, politics, governments, they like to figure
- 29:03out ways to mold the society is how they want it right.
- 29:07We know this, of course. And if you look at when these
- 29:11big times of like like the 50s and I don't remember what else,
- 29:15but especially the 50s, there were a lot of reports coming out
- 29:18at the same time, starting in little pockets, right?
- 29:20And they're like, oh, I saw, I saw an alien ship.
- 29:24And then the next day someone else would be like, Oh, I need
- 29:26to say I saw an alien ship too. And like, it just goes like
- 29:29that. And like there's this mass
- 29:31hysteria about about aliens and but it's a lot of times pretty
- 29:36localized to these mass hysterias.
- 29:39I don't think that that's proof that there is an alien there.
- 29:41It's just proof that maybe maybe someone down the road got a
- 29:49newspaper article written about them and they're like, well, I
- 29:52want to be like that person. I want a newspaper article
- 29:55written about me too. Or it could be very scientific
- 29:59reasons, like maybe they had bad water, you know, So I'm just
- 30:04saying there's, there's lots of bad.
- 30:06Water. Yeah.
- 30:08And so they're all, you know, seeing stuff that doesn't
- 30:12belong, you know? So everyone's hallucinating.
- 30:15That's the word I was looking for, yes, Right, Yes, yes.
- 30:18But I mean, I think that that is also a possibility.
- 30:22I also just really think that people, societies come up with
- 30:32things together and it builds upon itself to become these
- 30:37myths which become facts to people.
- 30:40Not true, but it was a myth. Enough people talked about it,
- 30:45It became a fact. So I have certainly, like I
- 30:50said, listen to many things about aliens, you know, and, and
- 30:54whether or not they exist and, and the concepts of people who
- 30:57say that they saw it, you know, and there'd be like one guy who
- 31:02said on his deathbed, one guy, oh, can I?
- 31:06Finish with that. Who on his deathbed would be
- 31:08like, I saw something strange and the Pentagon said they'd
- 31:11kill me if I said anything, you know.
- 31:13Well, you know, I would probably do something like that too if I
- 31:18was dying like here. Let's give somebody a mystery.
- 31:20Why not? I'm leaving.
- 31:22What do I care? You know, I sure, sure.
- 31:24I saw a little 3 foot tall man who had grey skin in a in a
- 31:29spaceship and I and I read him his final whatever The thing is
- 31:33that a priest reads to his final rites, you know, yes, last
- 31:38rites. Gosh, I should know that anyhow,
- 31:40I did that for him, you know, and I and since I'm a priest, I
- 31:44can't lie, which is not always the truth either.
- 31:47So I'm just saying that I without tangible physical proof,
- 31:54which we've never had. And if it existed like at Area
- 32:0251 when the Pentagon was like recently said that those were
- 32:07things and we can't explain it. I don't know if they said,
- 32:10because I didn't watch it that hard.
- 32:12I saw the video and I said, I don't see what you think is so
- 32:15amazing. It could just be something dumb
- 32:17like that. Someone's got a laser light.
- 32:19I just, it really didn't look like out of this world to me,
- 32:23honestly. And now especially like when you
- 32:27think about CGI and people like, well, it couldn't have been a
- 32:30hoax. Well, absolutely, it could be a
- 32:31hoax. There's so many things that are
- 32:33hoaxes. From the government.
- 32:36I don't yes, yeah, yes. The government never releases
- 32:41hoaxes. We could go on all another
- 32:44podcast about that government and don't watch this.
- 32:51I I do think though, that there's there's a bunch out
- 32:54there that does not have any proof.
- 32:57It's just stuff, you know, it's something that someone made good
- 33:03stories. And, you know, like with Area
- 33:0651, who knows? It could have been a Russian
- 33:08freaking fighter jet. And they didn't want anyone to
- 33:12know that Russia was attacking us.
- 33:14Not that Russia would, but, you know, like, there are other
- 33:16reasons why they might have been like, well, we're still going to
- 33:19cover this up. It's probably not aliens, but
- 33:22it's really great that you all think it is.
- 33:23We're still going to cover this up and say, you know, oh, cool,
- 33:27they're going with aliens. I'm going to let him do that.
- 33:30That's far easier than anything else, you know.
- 33:34So, So my answer to the question of if I think aliens have walked
- 33:40or flown among us, it's very unpopular, I know.
- 33:47But no, I don't see it. No proof.
- 33:50OK, here's the other thing to think about.
- 33:52Just a real. Quick, I'll think about it.
- 33:54OK, is the mathematical probability that intelligent
- 34:02life not only exists, but exists in plenitude?
- 34:08And if that is mathematically viable, which it is, I would use
- 34:15just as an example, somebody most of America trusts Neil
- 34:19deGrasse Tyson. Yes.
- 34:21OK, literally has said on a number of occasions you can't
- 34:25really do the math in a place as big as our universe with as many
- 34:29galaxies, Suns and planets would exist.
- 34:32You can't do the math and just say that humans are the only
- 34:35thing. I didn't say that that's the
- 34:37case. No.
- 34:38If If that's the case, then it's also fair to say, given that the
- 34:44universe is about 14 billion years old, that there hasn't
- 34:50been a sufficiently advanced technology from an alien planet
- 34:55or solar system or Galaxy, or maybe in a place long, long ago
- 35:01and far, far away couldn't have found a way to get to other
- 35:07galaxies and solar systems. And if that were the case, why
- 35:13not here? I mean.
- 35:16I mean, if they had like, let's just say it was us who are
- 35:22abundantly curious. We're always exploring new
- 35:26things. Like right now the front of
- 35:28science is quantum technology, which is like, well, basically
- 35:32was unexplainable and unthought of 50 years ago.
- 35:36And they've done a whole bunch of like actual scientific
- 35:39studies proving it, doing a bunch of quantum experiments,
- 35:44discovering quantum entanglement, and like a bunch
- 35:46of other stuff. So if a species like us who is
- 35:52abundantly curious and in the last, I don't know, 100 years,
- 35:55200 years has gone from like no electricity to literally rockets
- 36:04that go up in space and wireless communication through
- 36:09satellites, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, like all of these things that
- 36:14are pretty wildly crazy. Why would it not stand to reason
- 36:19then that if there were mathematically speaking,
- 36:23provable other intelligent life, why would they not have had,
- 36:28let's say, more time to develop their technology?
- 36:30Let's say it's an example of what humanity might have looked
- 36:33like 2000 or 5000 years in the future even.
- 36:38We've been building on what we have now, and we're just getting
- 36:40better at it. We're building better rockets
- 36:42and better technology and better communication and find a way to
- 36:46identify other intelligent life by things like what we're trying
- 36:50to do now, which is explore the cosmos for things like radio
- 36:53signals. And we don't have a lot of
- 36:55other, you know, we have big telescopes and stuff.
- 36:59We don't have a lot of other ways to do it.
- 37:00But if we had 5000 years or 10,000 years to build on that,
- 37:04why wouldn't we at that point in the future have something that
- 37:07pretty easily was able to identify something very far, far
- 37:10away and then go to said thing? I don't think that.
- 37:14I don't think you could say that that hasn't happened for some
- 37:16other intelligent alien life and that they could have brought
- 37:19them here. I'm not saying that it isn't
- 37:22possible that there is alien life out in the universe.
- 37:28I'm not even saying that it is impossible that they don't have
- 37:32the capability to travel to other planets and other solar
- 37:37systems and all. I'm not saying any of.
- 37:40That just not here. Just not here.
- 37:42What I I mean, they might have done enough research and decided
- 37:47it wasn't a place to go. So you think all of the things
- 37:51that have been questioned in Earth's history about crazily
- 37:56advanced technologies, pictograms of things that
- 37:59resembled things in the sky that traveled down and like you think
- 38:05all of that's just. I think that's human.
- 38:08Circumstance. No, I think all of that is
- 38:10humans and we just want to feel super superior to our, our, our
- 38:18ancestors and being so much smarter.
- 38:21Oh, they couldn't have done that.
- 38:22So that when we do something dumb today, as we do all the
- 38:26time, we can be like, well, they they were Dumber because they
- 38:30needed aliens to do it. And yet all of those things that
- 38:35I just talked about have some sort of reference to like these
- 38:38God like space creatures. I don't know.
- 38:43I mean, I, I, yes, people have talked about gods or since the
- 38:47beginning of time. That's true.
- 38:50I don't necessarily think that they've talked about being God
- 38:53like space creatures. I'm sure there have been people
- 38:55who talked about that. However, I think that you're,
- 38:59when you're talking about that, you're probably what, discussing
- 39:02hieroglyphs and stuff like that. Sure.
- 39:06I mean. Written accounts like, you know,
- 39:08stuff that we're still doing now.
- 39:10Not today. I mean like you're saying back
- 39:12then back in the in history. Well, they didn't write US
- 39:15stories in English, but they did have writing.
- 39:19Right, which has been interpreted 8 million different
- 39:21ways, sure, which loses a lot of everything there in
- 39:24interpretations. So I'm just saying that that no,
- 39:29it is definitely not proof. And it's just, again, us wanting
- 39:34to be superior and, and just because that's what we do, we
- 39:40think that we're better than somebody else.
- 39:42I think that that's wanting us to acknowledge the mystery of
- 39:46the cosmos. A.
- 39:52Little, too. Woo woo.
- 39:54Little too. Yes, it is a little too little.
- 39:57Too little, too woo woo. Yeah, well that.
- 40:01There you go, I say. They have not walked amongst us
- 40:04and Luke is saying they likely have.
- 40:07We have been visited. He believes we've been.
- 40:10By advanced intelligent extraterrestrial life.
- 40:14Again, I also. It would explain a lot.
- 40:16Will say that I know that my my opinion is not necessarily the
- 40:20most popular. Maybe not.
- 40:22Maybe. I might for once lose an
- 40:25argument, but I will die on this hill that I have no proof that
- 40:30aliens I've walked amongst us so.
- 40:35Well, we will. We will get the tally of said
- 40:40contest and poll and let everyone know the results and
- 40:44who has the wins and losses in the next episode.
- 40:48Thank you and don't forget to like and subscribe to our
- 40:53podcast. We're in our very 3rd episode.

- 41:18The aliens. Not sure.
- 41:20You know what? Prove me wrong.
- 41:22Let's get like 10 new alien followers and that'd be great.
- 41:27Yeah, I'd love it. I'd love it.
- 41:29I'm in if you have. New ideas and things that you
- 41:34would like to see us discuss on the podcast, please send them to
