- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Get on over to milehighhuddle.com to sound off on all things Broncos.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: When there we go, all right, all right, it is the 12th of May Tuesday night 6.08 PM Mountain time.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: We always have a little, you know, fun chat and before we start the show.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: And this is building the Broncos.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: I am Nick Kendall, as always, Carl Dunmore coming at you live from Lord knows where Denver and Kansas.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: I, but we're having a good time.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: It is Tuesday, Carl.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: Happy belated mother's day to your family.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: We're sharing that it wasn't the best one all around, but still any chance you can celebrate those moms out there.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I am very fortunate.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: We're not only do I have my mom, my wife, who's amazing mother taking care of the kid right now.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: Today's show, it's brought to you a bright price picks, but also our spouses for supporting us during this time where we can hang out and work, but also I'm still both my grandmothers are still here as well.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I've got to talk to them for a while on Mother's Day.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: So it was a good one.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm getting old and realizing that you know, time is passing by very fast.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: So talk with them for a good while and excited to see them here in a couple weeks.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there you go.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got to, I got to spend just a hair of Mother's Day with my wife and my mom.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: We took my mom out from lunch and sat through that a little bit.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: I had a little bit of food poisoning flu.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, it's probably food poisoning.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: Things were happening, but I did get that a little bit of time and you're right, you gotta appreciate those people that have poured into your life, that have,
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: made sacrifices like so we couldn't be here if we didn't have spouses taking care of kids and otherwise I'd have a kid in my office every two minutes going dead that I need this I need that.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: And so I appreciate that I have a wife at home that's hanging out with kids and willing to give me this kind of time.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: So happy mother's related mother's day to all those great moms out there who poor so much them to their kids and and love on them unconditionally.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, even shout out to the mother-in-law.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: I've been with my now wife for 17 years.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: So my mother-in-law is essentially, you know, kind of like an enter, you know, not my mom, but very close.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out to her as well, lucky to not be in the jokes of the mother-in-law.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: Though that typically feels like it's a wife with the husband's mom, when the follow that, you know.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: classic sitcom, but let's say we want everybody in here.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure you're if we have any of our mile-high hotel ladies in here, a happy mother's day, but everyone in here has a mom of course.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm coming in here, so I think my home's play, uh, getting right into it.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Hello to William, we'll get into it in a little bit.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: We got David Youngkin in the house, Papa Bear, good evening, saying Denver, Broncos, 13 and 4.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: Tough schedule this year, Carl.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're so busy in the off season with all the, well, maybe in Denver, not with so many additions, but potential additions and then the draft and everything as well.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: I hope it didn't go in at the schedule and I have a friend here who's a season ticket holder and he's like, yeah, just let me know if there's a game you want to go to.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: And like every single Broncos home game,
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: is a banger this year.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a, they're, they're unfortunately at breaks.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: They have one more away game than home game on the schedule.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: The maybe that doesn't work out that way with the, the neutral away, whatever, with the international game.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: But the home games are crazy.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think they're almost all playoff caliber or were playoff teams besides the raiders.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: I guess Kansas City didn't make it, but that's okay.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: The Raiders in Kansas City, that's it.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: We're expecting Kansas City be a little bit better than they were last year.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: Not picking nine overall.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, they're one of the top five and Vegas Superb Awards.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: So, not surprising, but yeah, I mean, yeah, you got the NFC West, you got Jacksonville coming into Denver, you got Buffalo coming to Denver.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it is, it is a gauntlet of the Denver luckily at home, but man, what a step up.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: The, the only other home game that I'd say might not be one many people are all that excited about would be the Dolphins.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Dolphins.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one, yep, yep.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: So that, that one and the writers, I'm not saying chalk them up as wins, but you feel pretty good about our chances in those.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: The other ones, like I said, there, there are a little bit more of a a toss-up.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I expect the Broncos to be good and do well at home because coming to Denver is is not an easy thing for any team out there.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: But I definitely look at the road schedule and say we're going to have to do well on the road to make up maybe for a gamer to at home that that might become losses and
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe maybe we go eight no at home and that would be great.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I really hope so, but it's just it's that's what you get with being the first place team.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get that tough for schedule.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get those teams that finish first on their schedule.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: So it's it's really only a couple games that are different compared to the rest of your division.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: But how they break home in a way.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: I guess the good thing is that they are at home.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: So it does give you a little bit more of an advantage against those top teams.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: And what's really tough is the getting matched up with the NFC West.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that does obviously net zero for the division, but for more competing against, it's not just the inner division anymore, it's the conference.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see, the NFC West is probably for my money, the best division, in football.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: The NFC West is good too, but I mean, Seattle, Sam, Fran, and Brams.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's an unbelievable trio right there.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: So, you see, how it all plays out.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's the NFC West looks pretty good.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: They do, I mean, if we're betting money right now, I'd say that's the best division.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: You might have the top two teams in football in that division and the Rams in the C-Ox.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: NFC North, depending on Tyler Murray, if he's any good, that could be another tough division.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: I expect Detroit to have a bounce back year.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: I doubt they had that many injuries again on their team and Chicago looks like an ascending team
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: Try the AFC North could be good, but they have Cleveland.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: And also the Steelers are, Tomlin was holding that team together.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: I just, another year in Rogers, I don't, yeah, I don't know.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: I, how's the market uplay as the ages?
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I'm in the last year, there's one data point, but,
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-oh.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'll see what you're doing right now.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think you're right.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: The other one did the NFC North.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then I put the AFC West in there as well.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: Very tough division.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, we got some news.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: We want to say a little more folks come in in here.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: But speaking of our mile-high huddle ladies and mile-high mothers day, of course, Shannon Mills come in in 1999.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: says hey Nick Carl and Broncos country looking forward to seeing the Broncos beat the chiefs but i'm a little annoyed that game is at arrowhead shouldn't the afc west division champs get the home game go Broncos i think the only team that gets the red carpet rolled out for them is the Super Bowl winner.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: the Super Bowl winner gets the home game season opener god bless off of the races everyone else you know it is whatever and i'll say i i understand being
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: I wish it wasn't Monday night.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's great to get that island game.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: But I think week one, if you could pick any game of the year to go against Kansas City on the road, it's probably week one.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: to get the coaches getting arrested, far whatever, you got my homes.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, coming off the injury, new offensive staff in there, I mean, who knows how rusty he's going to be.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: And Chiefs don't typically come out guns blazing to start the season either from what I recall.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm kind of happy that it's week one.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: I wish it wasn't Monday night with that extra anticipation just because I want that wind.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: And it's always, it's good to get that island game where people can watch blah, blah, blah, blah, I get it.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: happy that it's week one at Arrowhead because it was at Denver.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think you lose a little bit of that advantage that you get at home November December on from my perspective.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's there's good and bad to this obviously like you said she's having a whole new secondary.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm kind of excited that you're getting delaying early in his career is very first official snaps in the NFL going against Waddle and Sutton instead of maybe five, six weeks down the road and he's gotten a little bit of experience learned a few things, learn from his mistakes, those kind of things because I mean, remember, even the great Patrick Surtan, how he was as a rookie, he'd look back at that tape and say, wow, I made a lot of mistakes.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: things that now, what has he been like six years?
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: This would be a six-thier, I think.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: And he'd say, OK, yes, I've learned from that.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm better at this and those kind of things.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I do.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a really nice advantage for the Broncos.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_02]: I do worry a little bit.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: You said the Chief struggle early in the season?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Payton.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: I know Denver does with Sean Payton.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Sean Payton specifically.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: and so that that makes me a little bit nervous.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think it kind of breaks out even.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I do hate the fact of having such an important game because it's kind of a game in a half either way, you know, because you're talking about divisional record, you're talking about that seeding part of it, where even if you have the same record, but the chiefs have that
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: it makes it different.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm I'm probably leaning towards I'm happy that this is the way it broke because then the rest of the season you have eight home games, eight away games.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of like everything breaks even after that.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: And especially if we have an international game, then it's eight home games, seven away games.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: I doubt they'd take one of our home games away from us.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know, it, there's, like I said, good and bad.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be, I'm gonna be nervous, that entire weekend, leading up to that game, heading into Monday, and part of me was thinking, man, maybe even though Kansas is a little further than Denver for me, would I want that to be my first game with my daughter?
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I'd want to go to an enemy territory, especially, I don't know, I mean, up to you.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't go to my first Denver home game until I was in college, did a lot of away games.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: But I think the rivalry for Denver in Kansas City is ticked up a bit here.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't know, maybe.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: It is a good time.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the barbecue and all the smells around the tailgate is fun, but I am, I still hate him.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Shannon, 1999, that really helps us so much.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: Chase coming in and won't complain about no arrowhead in December.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: You're telling me, Denver Luke comes in and says, good afternoon, good evening, MBLX test prep, ass was it in Austin, Kansas City?
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it was.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it was.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: At him, chef, I thought it was in Denver because the Broncos put out a graphic with,
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: mile high in power, whatever the heck you want to call it in Vesco in the the background I'm like, okay, Denver at home.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they put the Denver Stadium in there if they didn't know.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, guess it was Adam Schepter tweeted out sometime this afternoon that it hadn't been decided yet, but it's officially Denver at Kansas City Monday night.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: That'll be fun.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: Germaine good to see a black tooth grin says radiator heater for the life mile high salute.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, we love it.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: Our buddy Michael Roncchio says bring on the chiefs heck yeah, man, bring on Kansas City.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: Got a guy Paul, hello Nick and Carl and Kansas City.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Week one, boohoo, excited about that.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: Duke says we get the,
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's a curse word.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get demonetized on here, but you guys probably have heard the chiefs.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: It rhymes with chiefs on here.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: And that playing at Barrow Head, yeah, absolutely.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm happy to have that week one game there.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: And because I think that's probably, as bad as my homes will probably play all season.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just as rusty as he is, everything that get it, be enemy back, right?
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: The naggy's gone.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's not necessarily new from homes, but it's new for a lot of the people around him.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I don't know.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see we've got Michael Cummins, as remember how nasty we came out versus the Titans and last year's home opener, we need more of that nine-sack energy.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, week one can be
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: messy.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: There's just more volatility early in the season.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, a lot of the fine tune, especially with their so little hitting and physicality and training camp and preseason reps are way down.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: They're just to come in with some rust.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: Luckily Denver does seem to be one of the teams that's a little bit more old school paired with better strength and conditioning and everything there.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: So it hasn't resulted in an onslaught of injuries.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, we'll see Denver practice is hard.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of times lead up to it.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: So they have a little bit more callous built up.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: But it's always risk with that as well.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: There's no perfect solution.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: No, I do like I remember last year.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: My homes came out because they were in that game in Brazil.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: And and he did not look great in that one.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: He missed a lot of throws.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he kind of missed throws all season.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know people talk about the injury.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why the cheese.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: No, they were having a bad season before that.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: the offense look completely out of sync.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: Now maybe the enemy gets it back in sync, but at the same time, you got a brand new running back.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: Offensive lines still not quite figured out.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: Why do receiver-wise?
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like they added anything.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's going to make you jump out of your seat and say, oh, wow, we got to prepare for that.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: Travis Kelsey, a year older.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I'm not too worried about that offense and usually defense is a head of offense early on.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: So we could see another huge big time sack game, or my home's having a little bit of not wanting to get hit.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: So we throw in the ball out a little bit earlier than he would have, or they lean into a more conservative game plan than they otherwise would have, and keep the game close.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: And if the game is close,
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: I know my home is great in those kind of situations, but so is both.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: So it's both, so I think that could be a really fun battle.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: We get to the fourth quarter and it's a one score game to see how that would play out.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think that would be a great Monday night way to start the season.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of like every game, it's unfortunate and it's for, it depends on the outcome.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: But you don't want that drop that one.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: But it shouldn't define your season.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: But boy, if you can get that one in your back pocket, like you said, it's a game in a half, because the tiebreaker as well, knocking can't sit you down already, just getting a head started, it reminds me of a Mario Kart racing.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: Mario Kart, racing, Mario Kart, you're racing, right?
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, yeah, get the light right?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: You push that A button, you zoom off in the front, and I've granted Mario racing as long enough that, if you're in the front, that blue show will come and get you.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: But,
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: you definitely want that springboard to start the season and it's actually not just good to do, but to give Kansas City that week one boss still have to take care and end on the road.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see you want to say a little more folks here before we say I'll give a shout out to our presenting sponsor Roy.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Good to see you back from St. Paul week one not sure but it's good or not.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: You guys play them eventually.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'd rather it be in probably good weather and with my home's working back from injury after avoiding a lot of the season.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's just me.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it plays out.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: Eric in the house says let's beat them Ola Broncos country, good to see Eric hope you're doing well.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: DB says we'd rather play in Kansas City in September.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's where I am at.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: as well.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: God, Chad is poppin' good to see at my guests with a question mark.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if the question was Mike, but great to see you.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: Hope you're doing a follow.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: Ernie May's Go Broncos Country only, love it, love it, fill in here on X, says good evening, Carl and Deacon Scott, will we have the international game?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: I see the cowgirls do.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think everybody has to play in an international game, but it'll be announced in two days.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: Essentially, that's my understanding.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're muted, Carl.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: I can't hear you.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, sorry, which one of our opponents do you think will be the international game?
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think it will be one of the away games on your slot.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Because I don't think they do only give Denver 7 when you've been given them nine road games.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they would do that.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think they'll do divisional opponents.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: They don't typically, I can't think of many international
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: divisional games.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: So, gosh, on the top of my head, that would be Patriots, probably not.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Jets again.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: I can't do it on that.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: One straw city, just take them back to the same stadium, just punish them.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: 49ers, Cardinals, Panthers, Steelers, Vibes to me, say Steelers.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: I, I kind of like that.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think that would be kind of fun.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: Plus,
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: Then we don't have to go to the steel curtain.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: Those fans are pretty crazy.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: So I would definitely not mind that one.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: I know some people, Jags, it's a home game.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: So I doubt they would take the Broncos for the Jags game.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: Cause like I said, they would not make it.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: Seven true home games versus nine away games.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: Just financially, at least for the Broncos.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: They'd be looking to Lee Gull.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: And what are you doing to us?
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I definitely, I, I, I,
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: The question is, yeah, I have to look at every single one of these teams that are on the road and apply the same logic.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like the others have eight home nine away.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's true.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: The amount from hosting that game.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, we'll see.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: It would be.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: It would be a bummer for the Broncos great that I don't think they're hurting for revenue.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: But if they took away one of those home games, it'd be a kicked of the nuts to the fans though.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: But the season tickle holders, you're already getting you know, one less.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see, um, what do you guys think in the chats?
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've, they typically sometimes will not put a marquee matchup in those international games.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: Marky teams will play, so maybe you end up playing the Cardinals or the Panthers internationally as well.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be up early for it, but you know, it depends on what your time zone is and what whatever you want to do, but I think, yeah, the, I don't think we'll do the Jets again.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they would do the Patriots, the 49ers, just too good of games to have and like a more premium time slot.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: So probably the Cardinals Panthers are Steelers.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I just looked up Steelers do have eight home games, nine away games.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: So probably not Steelers.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: Panthers have nine home games, eight away games.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: And I've not been in it.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't looked at the cardinals yet.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: Man, we should say better.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: Panthers would probably be, Panthers would probably be the game, I would think.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, maybe let us give him the Jets again.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let's run it back.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: That game didn't count.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just fix it, keep it rockin' and rollin' here.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: We got our Mr. Producer.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: Scott helping us out in the background.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: Always good to see Todd coming in, says, Julie, being better than expected, would be a great surprise though.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: If you can get 20 catches, that would be great.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: It would be great.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: I, I mean, gosh, there's not much Broncos.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: news news going on right now.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: I saw they moved on from Duce Vaughan.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: They brought in a wide receiver as well.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: Who's in Hipsiscape Grey.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: Very 90-man roster wide receiver.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: But the talk about rookie mini camp and everything has been second year tied in Caleb Loner stepping
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's the type of venue where you'd expect somebody like that to stand out maybe before you actually have the physicality of the game.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: But any news there is great.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Am I expecting to be, you know, a superstar?
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: But the fact that we're hearing anything is good.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: I would say any tie-in that can bring above average play, especially in the receiving game this year,
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't expect it.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't expect Julie to go out there and light it up and be this great rookie unless there is a couple of injuries to the tight end position.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think right now more than likely he's battling for tight end three tight end four than he is battling for tight end two at this point.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: But if he can go out there and training camp and show that he deserves to be on the field
- 21:51[SPEAKER_02]: if we get to training camp and like as a jolly's having day after day of a great production and a show and he can go out there and actually produce on the field and then you cut in-room then that's going to be the sign.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, we expect big things from him this year.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be getting 30, 40% of the snaps on offense.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't expect that to happen.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: I really don't, that's why last week we did the show talking about second and third
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: because those are the guys that really are the ones you're depending on to take your team to the next level, not usually rookies.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: So, Julie producing would be great.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: Coleman, I know that I've seen his name pop up a couple times and that the chat as well would be another one.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_02]: It'd be great to see him go out there and produce in some way in the running game or the passing game.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: And he might have a chance because of injuries.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just the odd say, he's gonna find his way on the field this year.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: But right now, probably other rookies, I would say Coleman is the guy that I expect the most from.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I probably go in the atom right now, just because there's one person in front of him in theory.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he is as much of an unknown as on the atom is in Savion Jones and because the defensive line is such a rotation heavy position, I had imagined that
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, 35 to 50% of the snaps is not out of the question, where if you have coal in getting 40% of the snaps, something probably went wrong.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, we'll see, obviously his play will probably be louder because his plays more likely to touch the ball or make an impact play, but right now I would probably say on the other.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, that's not it, not you know.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: be what's the word I'm looking for?
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: Just completely against you.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's just the pathway is much more defined.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_02]: I get that.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I'm being that the pessimist and not expecting Dobbins make it through the whole season.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: I just I don't see it happening.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I do think Coleman also even before any kind of injuries maybe would happen.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: I still think there's a path them getting five dates and apps a game.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: as a past blocker or third-down specialist.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we saw it with the day last year and Coleman's a much better prospect than the day ever was.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: And yet, he kept finding his way onto the field.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: So I do think there's still a path even without injury for Coleman to get a few snaps.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: But I do expect that Dobbins is not going to make it what the 20 games,
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm including the playoffs getting to the Super Bowl, you know, that's what I'm expecting this year.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to the Super Bowl, so, and I just have a hard time believing that he's going to make it 20 games without having to miss at least a few.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:56[UNKNOWN]: Ah, yeah.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: They really need him to be healthy.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Phil, come and us.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't be great if Lunar Outperforms, Troutman, and Camp.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: The issue with this Phil is that they play while they're both listed as tight ends.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: They're completely different players.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I wish I could use a basketball analogy, but my basketball depth is not good enough, but it's your difference between your stretch center.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: Now you used to be a stretch for now, it's stretch center, but he gets pulverized in the paint and the glass versus a center who can run the floor, a little better terrible handles, terrible shot, but like a good rebounder and defender.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: That guy's probably going to play more even though he's not going to make as many splashy plays as the score.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that's kind of the trout men to loner like I expect loner if he's making the roster this season like the 53 active roster probably mostly special and that's especially mostly red zone package oriented maybe some obvious pass down stuff just because he's I mean he's theory in general, but it's blocking is like really theory where trout men as a blocker and just where the league is that right now with tight ends who can block that's a little bit more.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: obvious paths to the field.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean that would be amazing.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: God.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're saying wouldn't it be great.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: That would be great.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: That would mean that loaners blocking like nobody would have expected from a basketball player.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: But I would imagine very different positions.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: If loaners eating anybody snaps or making anybody irrelevant, probably eating some of the ingram snaps.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I also have loaners find great jollies, snaps might be in danger too, but fifth round pick, am I going to cry for loaner beating him out now?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: Best player.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: Don't care.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if he can be a huge red zone threat or teams have to account for a six what is he six six I think he's six seven.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: There is make a joke either.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: I was just trying to make you say it.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I did, but and but Jolie even talked about he said, man, that guy is just jumping out of out of the gym and
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: the fact that we know, obviously basketball hops, he's used to going up, making those kind of plays.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: And even in college, the very little that you got to see in play football, that's what he was doing.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: It was going up and just jumping a guy for a touchdown.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: And when you can have that kind of talent, yeah, I'm not trying to say he's grok.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: But there were so many times in the red zone.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't matter if you had three guys on a groin.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: It was just throw it up and let him just jump everybody and outpower everybody for the touchdown.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: I remember the 2015 playoffs.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, broke us, we're winning that game.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: And then all of a sudden, groin just took over.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: It just...
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: It was just throw to him.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter if there's three guys on him, like I said, he was still going to make that play.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: There's one for the touchdown, where I think Chris Harris, I think Darien Stewart, and there might have been a linebacker right there.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: And somehow he still came down with it.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: And Chris Harris was trying to say, oh, we pushed off, being had those kind of things, but it just, he's just a man amongst boys, kind of thing when he's out there on the field.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: And if Loner can be, Apple that.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: You know, yeah, you're going to have a few plays designed for him, find a way to get him on the field.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: And that just becomes a huge advantage that team's just, how do you cover that?
- 28:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: Hope some prayers.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, the real question when you have kind of a niche tight end piece like that, and like how many snaps are you actually applying?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: Does he bring enough special teams to justify the active roster spot?
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: when you're talking your tight end three or four, play in 10 snaps of game, they'd probably have to have some special themes of ability.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not just talking, actualized blocking fuel goals either.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's the, that's the, that's the real asterix there, but we'll see.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm with you for sure.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: No, and like I said, tight end.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not expecting very much from any of the tight ends.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_02]: Troutman probably the most, just because they paid him decent money.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna, he has the easiest path to the field.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: But the Broncos didn't obviously go big on the tight end position this year.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: They said, hey, we're gonna help.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna improve this offense by improving the wide receiver position.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: We think that it's gonna be easier for us
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: to go get a wide receiver and give up our first round pick to make it happen.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: And so getting water, that that's going to be the dynamic changer.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: It may be it even opens up things for the tight in position where ingramps get an open a little bit more a troutman has a little more room to roam and or jolly loaner whoever it is.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: gets a little bit more one-on-one opportunities.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: And now that you have a little bit more athleticism in the tight end position, maybe they can go out there and make a play that way.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: But it really comes down to models how they're changing this offense, not the tight end position.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and running back, and hopefully you're three-bow.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: And web, there's changes, but tight end.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: little extra that hopefully we will find is not necessary as far as a super offense in Denver.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe somebody steps up.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, back to the point here, Carl, as we do start to wind down the show, Denver.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: At Kansas City Week 1, I'm pretty happy about it.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: Monday night, I think, six, 20 mountain time.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think is what they said, that makes sense.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: That makes sense with the time zones.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know if you've seen it yet.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: for the game.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe head over to our friends' prospects if they have the lines already.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: But have you seen the line?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: I have not.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's my favorite game where I know something that I get a quiz you on it because then I look smart and you look dumb.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: My wife loves this game.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so as you could probably imagine.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, okay.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: First thought I'm going to, I don't think the line is ridiculous.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you a hint though.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think Broncos Country will take it
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I was going to say, I would bet that they actually have the chiefs favored, yes, because Vegas right now still has that leariness about the Broncos, I think, I think they even have the chiefs with a higher wind total, if I remember, I heard that they might have the exact same wind total, I think it's nine and a half is what Vegas has it at right now and so with it being at home,
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: the idea of it being Andy Reed, Patrick Mahomes.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: Even if he's coming off of injury, they're still saying, this is Patrick Mahomes.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: And Bones coming off injury too.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, his recovery is a clearer path than that of Mahomes, but there's still gotta be a little bit of learyness with that.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: So, I would guess, chiefs three and a half.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: You're close.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: Close.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's chiefs two and a half.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: Two and a half.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_02]: So that was my next breath.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: So it's two and a half.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: I was right there on that edge.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get the chiefs and maybe that fuel goal in a half point.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: I.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, my thought.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: If I was set in the line and again, try not to be biased, but every single person is biased, some extent.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: My thought would be Denver plus 1.5.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's so if that was that, I would probably not
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: probably sprinkle in Denver personally.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: And again, that first game with Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes is going to be tough.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, they had a down season.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: They might be reinvigorated, but Denver also probably frustrated if you want to let the little meat on the bone, right, and getting back to the lab because should have been us.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: Should have been ours.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, losing your quarterback like that.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: unbelievable.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: Gosh, that feeling when you got that text message that that even bone extender the year, but anyway, I think one and a half of the line.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for me, I was actually just his graduation weekend here and I had a guy at one of the graduations sat me down and said, hey, let's talk about this Bolognax break and his ankle thing.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, wow, you're still, I mean, I get it.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I still think about it every once in a while.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: But yes, we talked about that moment of going from the highest of height, to win an overtime in the playoffs against the MVP of the league that to do it the way they did was just something awesome to watch.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: And it'll be a memory with my kids that I cherish of them getting to watch the Broncos win a playoff game like that.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: You get the text and I'm guessing your thought was the same as mine.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: Is this a fake account because I mean that's the only thought that could go through my head in that moment.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: This guy was playing at the end of the game.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way he broke his ankle.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: But second to last play of the game.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: Boom.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: He did.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: Elijah still played through it.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: So what happened?
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: And he did the kneel down.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: I guess he did a big throw down the field and then the kneel down and then the
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: So just this crazy to think about, but they probably would have gotten beat by Seattle.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: But I would have liked to have had the chance.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you never know.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the game.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the game.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody thought we had a chance against the Panthers.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: Or the Tigers.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: So those D-8s forced a couple early turnovers.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: Got the early lead.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: Panthers played from behind.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_02]: Made them get out of their game plan that they want to do of run the ball and intimidate.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: And so yeah, you just never quite know, but no, I do think the other big advantage Broncos have, they brought back almost every starter from last year.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: So when they get to training camp, there's no, hey, we've got guys learning the playbook, still getting acclimated, working on timing, I mean, other than water and defensive end,
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: pretty much everything else is still the same and even I've deep it's been it's you've got guys there that were here last year so you're not having to completely acclimate them and we've got Shannon Mills coming back in again thank you so much Shannon saying remember what happened the last time the Broncos were underestimated hope they keep it up.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: No I agree and I do think Broncos can use that.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying hey we finished 14 and 3 and you still don't do us as a contender.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: that there are still people out there that don't don't believe in the Broncos.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_02]: Think it was kind of a fluke thing.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: Now, if it was, we had seven years of, of nothing good, and then a 14 and three season, then I'd be like, okay, what happened?
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: Are these one score games?
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: But it was now, the year before that, we had 10 wins.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: We improved a little bit.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: Got to that 14 wins.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we got a couple extra little breaks.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: But I'd say we also had a couple of bounces that very much went against the Broncos that could have made some of those games, not turn out the way that they were, that they could have been bigger blowouts or whatever.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think the Broncos, I think worst case scenario unless Botanix gets injured, week one, I think you can feel pretty good about saying the Broncos are gonna win nine games at least.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the infrastructure is too good.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously, there's key injuries can change things.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we've seen some mesh units in the league, but I think that I do live with where the, just a benchmark, the Broncos have built here.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: The talent they still have, the rookie contract cheat code that they have with bone X. I mean, anything less than nine wins would be.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: highly disappointing.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: And there would be hot seat conversations happening for a number of people or and straight up firings.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, a lot of people would be gone to coaching staff.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: Not saying Sean Payton, but you know, heads roll.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: This was a great season last year.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: We had three.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: removed.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it's, uh, I don't know if people are necessarily underestimating Denver overall.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a little bit like the Vegas odds and everything, but like opening up at two and a half point dogs at Kansas City.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know if there will be a single team that opens up as favorites, or would open up as favorites week one at Arrowhead right now.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: I got these little things changed, but like maybe Seattle, maybe, the lands, maybe the bills, I don't, I don't, but I don't think so.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're probably, you're probably right, but and I really don't take it as an insult.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_02]: No, no head is one of the hardest stadiums to play and it's still my homes.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: Even even an 80% my homes is something to worry about.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, I, I'm going to pick the Broncos unless there's some crazy injuries that happened before then to win that game.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I like you said earlier, I think this is the time to catch the chiefs.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: When my homes is getting his feet back underneath him, getting used to getting hit a can.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: I remember Derek car.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: when he broke his leg that next season, you saw him be a little bit jumpy at times.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: A couple times that ball was coming out a little bit faster than what he had done before.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe you see that a little bit with my homes.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's taking some vicious hits and this is now what second or third knee injury that he's had.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: So, so maybe,
- 39:21[SPEAKER_02]: get some thinking a little bit more about some of that kind of stuff.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: So I do.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're catching the rock or the chiefs at the right time.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's still going to be a tough game.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: I still expect it to be close.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think this is going to be a rock that's come out when 30 to 10 kind of game.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: But this is one of those catcher merely get that big win out of the way.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: Then they have to come too Denver and maybe a big game.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: Please don't be on Christmas this year.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: tired of Brock has playing on Christmas and, you know, those kind of things.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: I just want that to be a fun holiday and not worry about it.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: Just be with my family.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: And so, but we'll find out here in a couple days of how that's going to work out.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_02]: But right now, we know, week one in Kansas City, really good chance for the Broncos to prove.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, we're here for the long haul.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: If they, they win this one, get that game and a half lead really in the division.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: Chiefs played from behind the rest of the year, possibly.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think that would be huge.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's going to wrap it up today.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how the Broncos wrestler schedule comes out.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, Carl, I got to ask you, though, you snow the home and away opponents.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: What game are you most hoping to score tickets to?
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: For the Broncos, and when do you hope that game is on the schedule?
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: I personally would love the Jaguars game, Jaguars, a little bit of revenge for last year.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: That was the worst game that we played all year and I guess I'd say it's between that one and the Patriots game.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: I know that's not a home game, that's that's an away one.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: But the Jags one, the other one part of it is I have a really good friend of mine.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think if I scored some tickets, I could convince him to fly out from Vegas for that game.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: So it'd be good to see him have fun and hopefully get revenge against those threaded jag wires for what they did to us last year.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: What about you?
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: Gosh.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would really love to break the juju and see Denver beat Seattle at home because I went to the opening game twice.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: It Denver at Seattle week one.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: ugly games to watch how grand it's see how I was a hard place to play, but I'd love to see that one.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'd also, I mean, Kansas City at home.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: I have, bring the noise, man.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just beat them in.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: That'd be great.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: Let's sweep them this season.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: Just have to get it last year.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: So, oh, a lot of fun.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks everybody for coming in.

- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: Next week any final thoughts?
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: No except ready for this guy to come out and kind of see how it breaks down for the Broncos and I
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm always trying to think, well, what I hope for for the schedule wise, and I'm just hoping a later by week, I guess, is something I'm looking for and then how many times they're having us go on the road in a row, hopefully no three game stretches of being on the road or if we do have that kind of like we did that one year.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was even maybe last year, where at least one of them was an international game.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not a three, three true away games for the Broncos.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: But otherwise, just excited to see where we're gonna be at.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_02]: And like I said, maybe see where we can score some tickets.
